last movie: i honestly can't remember bc i don't watch that many movies (i'm more of a tv show girlie) but it was probably visconti's 'death in venice' after reading the short novel - thomas mann is one of my favourite authors and the movie perfectly captured the languidly eerie atmosphere of the book

last tv show: tim burton's wednesday! i purposely avoided it back when it came out bc everyone was talking about it and you know how it goes, the more people talk about smth the less i feel the desire to watch it lmao. but then last month i was in the mood for smth with a spooky autumn vibe that was also kinda light, so i decided to give it a chance and it was a really nice surprise! i wasn't expecting to like it so much but i found it really entertaining, i loved jenna ortega's portrayal of wednesday and i also found her and enid so cute (GOD i hope they make wenclair canon in s2 it'd be so good)

sweet/spicy/savoury: savoury all the way, but after that then also a sweet treat

relationship status: blessedly single and also the dating scene is so atrocious i'd rather put my hand in a blender than open tinder ever again

am/tlsp as always - i  finished writing a very long chapter of my wip the other day and even tho it was very angsty i'm so happy i finally finished it because i'd been bogged down in a slump for quite some time and i'm just so glad i managed to pull myself out of it. just a couple of chapters left and then the fic will be completely written :')

taylor swift as always - last couple of days i've been losing my mind over her new surprise songs outfits specifically. i see. i see it all so clearly

garrett and andrew (my favourite youtubers along with dan and phil): i LOVED the new spooky video and ugh every single one of their videos has the power to become a comfort video to me

bungo stray dogs and soukoku in particular - i watched the anime for the first time back at the start of 2020, then i rewatched it around this time last year and i'm afraid ever since then it's been living in my mind rent free, especially these two chaotic bitter exes </3 i'm on volume 18 of the manga but i need to catch up asap!!

if you want some good movies, i recommend (get ready for this range of genres lol) challengers, the talented mr ripley (also enjoyed it's modern day knock off despite the dragging it got: saltburn), parasite, tar, the iron claw, anatomy of a fall, prisoners, when harry met sally, oppenheimer, petite maman, portrait of a lady on fire, rear window, the man from uncle, happy death day, the truman show, brokeback mountain, etc etc i have 489324923 more but i straight up just listed whatever came to my head right in this very moment flkdsjfkl

as for tv: if you want reality tv, i just started below deck a couple weeks ago and i love it, lol. for drama, anything that's an hbo original is good imho. the white lotus, the rehearsal (pls i loved this show sm), succession, got or house of the dragon (s2 comes out soon), the sopranos, barry, the last of us, sharp objects etc etc. or SHAMELESS... always a classic. if you want obscure foreign web series, skam is always fun.. lmk if you need links to it in english but the belgian version is my favorite. IN THE FLESH if you love zombies and cancelled shows that deserve better lol. the bear for obvious reasons. if you want to watch one of my ALL TIME favorite shows, please watch desperate housewives. not enough ppl these days have seen that. i rewatch it in its entirety once every few years and never get tired of it. the haunting of hill house and bly manor if you're into more horror stuff. also i am going to attempt black sails soon bc everyone has good things to say about that!! if you want comedy, there's the classics the office, parks and rec, abbott elementary, schitts creek, arrested development, superstore etc etc. i have watched so many things this is definitely not any sort of full list, lol.... if you want more tailored recommendations, let me know!! and lmk if you watch or enjoy anything of course, but take care of yourself this offseason!!

sorry i’m replying so late but stop,, i LOVED curious george growing up!! i watched pbs kids and qubo religiously. idk if you watched any other pbs kids shows but if you did, do you remember that dinosaur train one??? pretty sure that’s what started my weird obsession with dinos😭 i watched 20th century girl a while ago and i SOBBED SO HARD. i’m gonna need at least a few more months before i can watch it again😭 burlesque and 500 days of summer sound super interesting!! also a sad ending for 500 days of summer?? i’ve been needing a good cry. definitely coming back to give you my review after i watch them!! hmm since it’s on netflix rn, i’d recommend ferris bueller’s day off! whether you’ve watched it or not, it’s a classic and always brings joy and laughter! i’m a bit of a theatre and choir kid so i have to recommend la la land or pitch perfect!! (omg also totally unrelated but i got invited to join my uni’s acapella group today which i’m rlly excited for!!!) okay okay lastly,, ik we’re talking abt movies but i NEED to recommend anne with an e. it talks abt a lot of important topics AND has that slow burn, academic rivals to lovers (if i remember correctly) romance.

‘vibe’ by 1TEAM. so remember when i said i was done with boy groups...well have you heard of 1TEAM. these boys are seriously the cutest, just look at them! and i love the vibe of this title track (pun intended). seriously it’s a jam and i would 10 out of 10 recommend listening to the b-side tracks as well! i appreciate that all the tracks have their own unique style, ‘countdown’ goes hard and is a great juxtaposition to the title track. i will definitely be keeping a eye out for these boys. (also they are very active on instagram and i appreciate that!)

take off - the 1st mini album by wayV. finally the comeback we all deserve. this shall have it’s own post because seriously it deserves its own post. i am still processing the music video. like seriously as a winwin stan i have a lot to process. all the tracks are perfection! ‘let me love u’ makes me weep with all their sweet vocals. ‘say it’ honestly terrified me with the first 5 seconds reminding me of some slytherin ring tone. it’s such a great track! its dynamic and that build of the track, it’s great and that ‘oh na na na’. 11 out of 10 would recommend the album and the mv!

WE ARE SUPERHUMAN - the 4th mini album by NCT127. so NCT has been ruling my time and energy ever since i had the opportunity to see them live (let’s be real they ruled my time prior hahaha). ‘highway to heaven’ is my jam and ill be that person to say it can rule as a title track. i loved the music video it’s simple, classic, and a vibe. i love these boys and every single song on the EP is a bop! i love these talented men, and seriously they never disappoint. i just have one question, do they have time to sleep?!?! like seriously, they’ve released the EP, have completed comeback stages, concerts, traveled north america. like what the even?! they deserve some sleep after all they have served us over the past two months!

i’m the one by MXM. i have no idea where i first heard this song! but it is seriously a bop and i am obsessed with this track. it is light, fresh, and everything you need in a summer jam.

her private life OSTs. seriously these tracks have been on repeat. thanks to this drama i was introduced to IN2IT again, and i have had ‘it’s u’ on repeat. also introduced to ONE, and ‘heyahe’ is a vibe. it was so unexpected to see that he was a rapper, to be honest i would have pegged him for a vocalist with his sweet face. ‘smile again’ by RUNY. like dang this is a bop and jam, i love listening to it just chilling at home cleaning. it’s great! ‘maybe’ by lee hae ri makes me weep, but in a good way. it’s just iconic and her vocals are beautiful. 

dramas & movies. *spoilers alert*

a werewolf boy. this was a rewatch with my friends. we were struggling to pick a movie to watch and we decided upon this classic. everyone really enjoyed it, and i am glad they were able to see park bo-young as a young actress, because they just finished watching ‘strong woman do bong soon’.

swing kids. this one i watched while on a plane ride! it is seriously not what i expected, it was a historical film that took place in a pow camp. it was a lot to process, and probably wasn't a great idea to watch on a plane with hundred other people, because i ended up weeping like a baby. but all is well and the film was incredible. i wanted a happy ending but about five minutes in i realized whatever was coming my way was probably going to be at best bittersweet. i would recommend watching this one, it was a spectacular film that touched upon various issues, and hardships that many people faced at the end of the war. kyungsoo is the reason i have been keeping an out for this film, but it was an incredible film in it’s own right, and i’m not just saying that because my bias of EXO was a part of the film. the cast as a whole did a wonderful job conveying the struggles and emotions felt. i would 10 out of 10 recommend.

side note: i just heard word that our boy kyungsoo will be off for military enlistment in july. what a great way to end the month, thank you to sm for the super last minute notification. it’s fine no emotional breakdowns were had here TT. i just hope that he stays healthy and does his best. i will be patiently awaiting his return. 

her private life. this one. y’all this drama. seriously insert *slow clap and standing ovation*. i loved everything about this drama our main leads stayed my existance with their story. our boy ONE burst out a new bias and someone who needs to release more music, like please and thank you (still waiting for a random OST to appear). i love me a classic drama with flashbacks to childhood, and friendships that are unexpected. i loved how he found her fan-girl side endearing, and i desperately need that in my life. and hello, ryan gold is extremely dreamy and we all need a ‘lion’ in our life, am i right?! i would recommend it 9.5 out of 10!

my only complaint is that i wish that shi-an found out that deok-mi was his fansite. that would have been the most precious moment of the whole show i can guarantee that!

he is psychometric. of course i had to watch this one, our jin-young made his official male lead debut. it was really good, and kinda dark, lots of mystery. i appreciate a good drama that ties in long lost childhood memories, that reconnect our otp. it was pretty great, and i did not expect his hyung to have committed the horrible act that he did. very unexpected and wrecked my heart because *heart eyes* and i wanted him to be a good guy. i would recommend it 8 out of 10. 

radio romance. this was a super cute one, and a kind of ‘oh i have no other dramas to watch since i am watching all live dramas’ kind of pick. but oh how thankful i am to have stumbled upon this gem. the main actor was also in ‘splash splash’ love and i am falling more in love with him like seriously. i appreciated the flash backs as always a classic, they knew each other as children story. i love how she really became an oasis for him to get to know himself and grow as an individual to find his own voice. it was a good one, i would recommend it for a cute drama! and all the pretty bows are at the end, even the second female leads gets her boo! i would give it an 8 out of 10.

i hate you juliet. watched this one on a whim because it was on the viki discover page, but i actually don’t recall much from it sadly. the episodes were short, and if it had been longer i don’t know if i would have finished it. super predictable but i don’t know how the main leads ended up together i was totally team joon mo.

love o2o. another chinese drama, who am i? this is seriously a great drama, and i loved the concept of her being a gamer, and how they met in that avenue before ever meeting in real life. they were super cute, and he is super attractive. of course they encounter all the hardships that a major-rich-hot-senior in college-entrepreneur  would encounter when in a relationship with the cute-poorish-girl from a small city. but it was great, a lot predictable, but everything you want for a cute summer rom-com drama. i would 8 out of 10 recommend.

phantom of the paradise. 1974 movie, very good. follow the mc, his name is winslow and hes just... ouuuugh i love him. my yummy little man with issues!! bare with me i havent seen the movie since december, i need to rewatch it soon because its so good, the music from it is so good!

oh btw this is winslow! very yummy i hate drawing his fuckass helmet though GROWLS. he gets his song stolen by the antag, swan. horrid man. id dip him in millk. he got that charm though even though he would 100% call me a slur

uuuuuuuuuuh... lots of swan fuvking over winslow and everyone else around him, lots of drama and angst. winslow is the #1 anti hero and i love him for that, yes king kill those people because youve been grossly wronged over and over again!!

I’ve been kept quite busy this month (mostly due to my job) but overall I’m doing pretty well, thank you for asking! despite being busy I’ve been able to sit down and watch several holiday movies (good and bad, lol). have you been able to watch any? I recommend this is christmas… I watched it for the first time the other day with my mom and the wholesomeness drove me to tears.

ahh hello again!!! i feel you on having a very busy december but i DID manage to watch 1 movie! it was falling for christmas (the new lindsay lohan movie on netflix) and it was better than i expected which tbh? is very much a win in my books. this is christmas was literally next up on my list bc that one looks super decent so i will def be getting around to it soon <3

Definitely want to go again next year! Yeah have definitely taken advantage of going to places when I can since my breakup. Been spending time with a lot of friends too which is always good. Ooohhh I've never seen those!! I'd like to though hahaha I've only seen Pippen and Pretty Woman live. I wanted to see Network with Bryan Cranston but no one that I went with was interested in it😂 I would love to see Wicked too! My sister was part of the production that they did in elementary school hahaha pretty neat stuff.

Sailor Moon may definitely be the next one on my list hahaha but definitely need to dive more into studio ghibli movies. Maybe I'll do that Sunday☺️ if you'd like to join, you can! hey so uh been having a hard time for the past... *checks watch* ...three years with just ✨ staying alive ✨ so i've decided i'm going to start writing down random reasons to continue. some of them may be deep and shit and some will be seemingly silly and dumb, but the idea is that anything can help. we've all heard the whole "but your family will miss you" but for some of us, that's not true, and some of us are too tired to even care about that anymore. so this is about finding comfort in the smallest of things, and using it to keep going.
