David's wardrobe choices in Georgia's new post are divine

Indeed! I saw that post earlier today, but for those who haven't, let's get the visual up:

So much going on here, of course, from the glasses to the headband to David's beloved Paul Smith shirt. I love that his hair is getting longer again, as he looks entirely too attractive with it (and somehow managed to look like a high-fashion model during lockdown while all the rest of us looked like we'd been run over twice), and now requires the use of the headband.

I had previously thought that perhaps Crowley's headband in season 2 was the same as David's, but we can see from this BTS picture that that does not appear to be the case:

...I do wonder, however, if David had any say in selecting Crowley's headband, in the same way that he chose the purple shade of lipstick for Nanny Ashtoreth. It's fascinating to see such little touches that come from/are influenced by David and Michael in the second season--certainly more so than in season 1. That everything about Aziraphale and Crowley--their relationship, right down to what they wear--is the way it is because of David and Michael, either directly or indirectly.

But going back to the photo of David from today, it's always a delight to see him in that melted flower shirt that he seems so fond of...

(Admittedly, I'm less fond of the jacket, only because it's so muted and covers up the shirt so much.) But the glasses are possibly just the delightful cherry on top of the whole outfit, as he always looks adorable in them.

So yes, some lovely wardrobe choices from David today. Fingers crossed that we'll get to see more pics of him with that beautiful long hair...

Thank you for sharing another gorgeous piece with us! I love the thought of Michael and David wearing complementing suits on the red carpet together. I saw some comments about Michael seeming to prefer dressing simply, but I'm not sure that's entirely true, as we are talking about the man who wore this to the Bright Young Things premiere:

And who--up until a few years ago, at least--had a penchant for wearing all sorts of flamboyant clothing (which I very much miss and wish he would wear again). So I love that the suit in this drawing gives us an idea of what Michael would look like in a suit similar to the ones David has been wearing, not to mention how adoringly David would gaze at him while he's wearing it...

I once told @feuerkindjana that Michael would look amazing in more impressive suits for his public appearances (is he worse than David, mm? And he loves to dress up)

And now_ THIS. I suggest signing a petition for translucent shirts for Michael - these charms cannot be hidden!

Beardless Michael alert! He looks very handsome, healthy and is wearing a shirt that David will probably steal from him at some point. Michael is always attractive and always looks good but I gotta say, I do love the beard and the grey hair and kinda miss it already and hope it returns in the near future.

Hi, Anon! I did see the new interview of beardless Michael. (It’s here, for those who haven’t gotten to see it yet.) Here also is a gif, courtesy of @invisibleicewands, so we have a visual:

...So, I will say right off the bat that, of the recent videos of Michael that have emerged from his time in Australia, I very, very much prefer his look in this one:

^ That, right there, is just perfection. Curls and beard and all things gorgeous and Welsh and twinkly and so very Michael. This is my preferred Michael aesthetic, no question, and it definitely makes the contrast with the “Sunrise” interview look of his a bit stark.

But I do think I enjoy the Sunrise look more in motion than in pictures or gifs, if that makes any sense. Something about Michael’s voice coupled with the look makes it easier to take in, in a way, and makes the whole package less jarring. (I think because hearing him speak, it’s like “Yes, this is Michael, even if he looks like he just got back from a Palm Beach retiree cruise to the Caribbean.” Haha.)

As for the shirt...all I can say is that my initial thought was that he looks chronically bisexual in it. Haha. And I could see David stealing that shirt from him (again, as I’ve previously mentioned, due to just loving Michael’s shirts because they smell like him), but also because it’s his style. I heard privately from a few people when this was posted the other day, and I love that most everyone who messaged me immediately mentioned/thought of David, too.

So yes, those are my thoughts on Michael’s beardless look. Like you, Anon, I also yearn for the return of the beard/salt n’ pepper curls, but hopefully that won’t be far off once Michael’s run in Amadeus comes to an end. Thanks for writing in! x
