a great idea just popped into my head and it’s all about artist!jean

i think he began to love art when he was 5 or 6 after he went to this museum with his mother

there was this one painting that he couldn’t move away from. he had so many questions that he couldn’t fully articulate at his age. however he knew he loved the painting. the brush strokes. the simplistic colours. it was powerful. he had to be physically dragged away he loved it that much he talked the wholeeee day about it

after that he would draw almost everyday and eventually progressed to painting as well. side note i even think he begged his mum for those copic markers (he never got them and cried for days)

he would talk about art read about art literally his hyperfixation

but when he was in high school he was drawing as he usually does but then eren catches sight and he’s like

“WHAT IS THATTTT HAHAHAHA” he’s relentless he’s getting other people to stare at it and everything and poor jean isn’t even that bad but after that day he just stops occasionally do it at home

he’s probably like “shut up man you can’t even do shit..” in that like in emoji on tiktok AAAAA i can’t describe it

i think he picks up art again after going to another museum he got sent about it and was like why not ?

he was out of school, eren and him both matured (ish) and even when he put it down he still loved it

and he did ! he was just sooo happy and took so many pictures and was even writing down notes in his phone about it so he can fully remember this day.

he’s looking at the same painting again and it’s just you and him looking at it. it takes up the whole wall.

“it’s so…sad.” you say

“you really think so ? huh…”

“ what ? you don’t think so ?”

“ i mean sure.. but it’s freeing in some strange way..but i don’t know maybe that’s just me.” he smiles at you “i’m jean by the way.”

“nice to meet you” you smile softly “and i guess i’ve never looked at the painting like that…thank you”

“you’re welcome”

you roll your eyes and let a laugh. you guys sit in silence whilst looking at the painting. the whispered conversations shuffling of the feet, the occasional camera shutter. it’s comforting. you guys were exchanging thoughts and feelings without even saying a word.

jean is struggling to keep his eyes on the painting. he shifts his focus to the painting and to you. he’s hoping you don’t catch him.

your deep brown skin, it has undertones of red and orange. your jet black coils are bouncing off your shoulders and framing your face. your large framed tortoise glasses are sliding down your nose. the gloss on your lips shine brightly due to the overhead light. maybe he would use oil pastels or watercolour to paint you. pencil and acrylic was he excelled at but he was willing to experiment to capture your feature. you truly looked like you belonged in a painting.

“what?” you laugh nervously as jeans warm light brown eyes were staring right into your soft dark brown eyes.

“nothing. sorry” he laughs and rubs the back of his neck. “…has anyone ever drawn you or..painted you before ?”

“omg what ? no. never before why, do you want to-“

“draw you ? yeah. if that’s cool with you obviously. “

“um..”

“i’m not trying to be weird-“

“i don’t see why not” you smile softly.

and that is when jean found his new muse !

We don't have to imagine it because Tew thinks Kan euthanized his mom and the other patient, but knows someone killed the lung cancer patient and wants to prove his future boo boo didn't do it!
