His name is Farady, but I'm not sure if you read this the same way as I do....... (It's like an "e" on the end, not a Faraday or something)

He's a nomad always getting into trouble!!

I haven't come up with a background for him yet, but I know for sure that he is definitely not connected to the main lore of game

I tried to redesign him, and while I like the palette, I'm still not happy with the overall design...

context is that Juniper and Mori are starting to date and, even though Juniper is normally very cool and reserved, she loses her shit whenever she has a genuine crush on someone. due to bad dating experiences and general uninterest, she's not well versed in dating culture, so she kinda panics. Mori, though? she's liked Juniper for a while and has BEEN READY to make out with her (and by "a while" i mean "it's been at least 4 years and they've lived together on and off that entire time"). after their kiss Juniper tries to play it off but Mori can see straight through her and tries to be nice about it lol.

Who's the adorable dragon-looking being in your latest post?

That's Kaz! Like all of the crew so far, they're based on crew npcs on Tierri's ship. In this case, I designed them to be less humanoid than the starbound engine allows for because I want more variation in body size and shape to more clearly distinguish the alien species from each other. Originally they were an Avali, but now they're kinda turning into their own thing. Here are some of the initial design sketches:

I'll talk more about their role on the ship, personality and backstory in the next crew summary post.

Here is a screenshot of my heavily modded ship in Starbound!! I've been working on it for a couple days now and I really like how it's turned out :3 I still have the cockpit to make pretty, but I have no idea what I want to do with it.

Most of the furniture is from "WW Furniture" (Steam Workshop link)!! I've installed too many mods to list, but if there's anything in particular you're curious about I can absolutely get the mod pages for you!!

A neat little Starbound Hylotl drawing

Trying to find the good balance of drawing them as humanoid and having a longer, almost lizard-like "snout" (I went a bit more "human" here methinks)
