Reira Plays BG3 Part 1
Ah yes, Eliandre, recreational drug extraordinaire, communing with her people (she's 420 years old in our DnD campaign for a reason, heh).
Yes, she also out drank this guy (and by this I mean she didn't drink a single drop but he certainly thought she was).
Lux, my Seldarine Drow with red eyes: "Har har watch out for red yes".
"No means no, you bitch."
WHY CAN'T I ADOPT THIS GLORIOUS THING!?
Gale, sweetheart, I love you, but for the love of god THIS IS NOT YOUR ROMANCE PLAYTHROUGH. STAHP TRYING TO GET INTO ELI'S PANTS.
Only took me what...like 60 hours to get to Act 3? XD
I feel like I am obligated to make some sort of Halsin sandwich joke here (that's his dryad summon lol). We are the matching slices of bread, he is the ham. Astarion is the mustard. XD
Also, fun fact: Halsin propositioned Eliandre at 69 hours of gameplay. I died. IT IS MEANT TO BE. IT IS A HOLY MATRIMONY (*cough*).
I GOT TURNED INTO CHEESE. BEST GAME EVER.
Suck a bag of dicks, you lich bitch.
Honestly, I swear this whole game is just me yelling profanities at gods and god-like figures. If it's not 'fuck you, Vlaakith,' it's 'fuck you, Mystra' or 'fuck you, Cazador'. Actually, while I am at it: "Fuck you Absolute, fuck you Zariel, fuck you Mizora, fuck you Shar, fuck you Myrkul, fuck you Bane, fuck you Bhaal, fuck you Raphael. No, Jergal Withers, you're fine, stay, good boi."
POPPER YOU BITCH.

Arc-V 10th Anniversary Cafe (April 2024)
Why can i only upload 10 images per post on the app sigh
I went twice, because the menu changed halfway!
Actually it was prohibited to take photos of the projector screen for some reason (I don't get it, because it's the same art on the merch) but ummmm let's just keep it between ourselves okay
My first visit was near the end of the first menu, so seats were readily available! (We don't talk about when I was like oh maybe I'll go today- oh fuck what do you mean there's no more slots oops guess ill go tomorrow)
When I went in at 6.30pm it was pretty empty, and since I was first in the queue I got to choose where I wanted to sit! And of course I made a beeline to...
While waiting for my food, of course I had to hit up the gacha (do not recommend, highly do NOT recommend) They had a bunch (think like 50-100 of those blind packs all stuffed into a basket and you do choose it yourself, but.....
You can only buy a maximum of 10 per type, and I was mainly looking for just the pawnies, though I was also looking for some of the others for friends...............
... I love Running Reiji because he's a reference to the manga, which I love dearly, but holy hell after his 3rd appearance I was feeling. something. The way I spent $[redacted] on these and I got only 1 out of the 4 I wanted (also how cruel is it that I got everyone in Group B except for hayaku yuri, damn
Halfway through the packs the Reiji drink (an iced sweet potato milk drink) i ordered arrived! and it came with a random novelty item like every item on the menu (Why is everything in Japan gacha. Just kidding I know the answer its the goddamn c word) and I got Reira! Very happy because she's one of my faves and she is so mega cute here
Anyway food's here!
The amount of pasta looks little because i only remembered to take a photo midway (was too depressed over my pulls when I started eating)
I was STILL unboxing the blind packs when it arrived and when I say do not gacha it's because the number of repeats was already getting to me and by the time I finally got around to my pasta it was already lukewarm...
It was alright, it was just a cream pasta (I think I was supposed to pour the lemon juice onto it maybe?)
Me when I consume lemons me too yugo so true
At the end you get to choose (yes CHOOSE and not gacha holy shit) a bromide of your own choosing for every 5,000 yen you spent (I guess that's why, because at that point you've already given them so much money the least they could do is to let you choose the little png to take home) took multiple of the yus so I can send them to friends!
Part 2 after I see if the airport gift shop has chiikawas...

Since y’all liked me getting beaten down by GX characters so much, here’s:
Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V Characters ranked by how easily I could take them in a fight
same rules apply: fisticuffs only and my personal feelings about the characters do not matter
also since ARC-V is WEIRD AF when it comes to characters this will be characters that are exclusive to ARC-V. so no repeat of Asuka. We already know I bite harder than she does.
without further ado, here we go:
Reira Akaba. No shit. is literally a baby. if I was a baby kicking kind of person I could punt her into the sun. However as I do not kick babies I am more inclined to wrap her in a lil blanket and put her in the corner.
Yuya Sakaki. Bitch. One good step on his toes and he’s going “reaction shot?!” I pull on his stupid fuckin goggles and snap them back onto his face. he’s down. count to ten.
Yuzu Hiragi. Canonically the bracelet girls really suck at holding their own at any given moment. Yuzu is the weakest physically because she has never seen war or hardship to the level of the other three. I could take her in four seconds. pigtail tug time.
Yuri. The second weakest physically of the Yu boys. has been coddled by Leo for years. probably sparred with Sho at the academy to make himself feel better about having 0% body weight from muscles. eat shit you purple motherfucker.
Dennis McField. not only would I beat him, I would enjoy doing it. I’d love to curbstomp that motherfucker off a boat, except he already did that to himself. physically he is a fuckin twig and I am five feet seven inches of pure unadulterated god complex. he’ll wish I turned his ass into a card.
Reiji Akaba. the scarf works to his detriment. I do two laps around him holding the end of that thing and suddenly his face is turning blue and he’s calling for papa. unfortunately for him I have zero mercy.
Rin. again, the bracelet girls are notoriously bad at being strong independent women. we literally don’t see Rin for most of the series because she got herself kidnapped off the cuff. that being said she could probably hold her own against me, but I think she’s too sweet for that.
Z-ARC. We’ve established I bite. even outside of human form, if you look at him, he’s got a fuck ton of exposed veins, both as regular Z-ARC and Yuya Z-ARC. chompy chompy motherfucker you’ll pass out from the blood loss before I can kick your ass properly.
Yugo. Canonically relies on his motorcycle for fuckin everything. lost to Yuri because he rolled a nat one on his constitution saving throw. even though he’s probably physically in shape from motorcycle stuff I could flick him in the forehead and he’d be whining like a baby. If I got the first shot in, I’d have a 99% chance of winning. If he got to me first it would go to about 60%. again, I bite.
Leo Akaba. Here’s where we get into characters that have a greater than 50% chance of beating me. Leo is canonically ripped and also has zero emotions. I would only win if I got close enough for a nut kick, but there’s only one person who wants to be that close to Leo Akaba and it sure as hell ain’t me.
Sora Shuin’in. Holy fuck who let their feral cat off its leash. Sora is literally insane and I am requesting backup. He’d shove that lollipop so far up my ass that I’d be able to tell whether it was lime or green apple. I live in fear of Sora suddenly materializing in my room
Ruri Kurosaki. Remember how I bite? She bites harder. She puts up with No Shit and also has No Fucks To Give.
Serena. No further explanation needed. I fear that explaining it further would cause Feral Child #2 to burst into my brain and start kicking.
Yusho Sakaki. Sweet mother of blue eyes white dragon. remember how I said my personal feelings don’t matter? now they do. smash. next question. wait what were we talking about?
Shun Kurosaki. kinda lost the plot on Yusho but we’re back on track now. Shun canonically took out armed guards by Batmanning his ass up a wall. There’s posters up for him that say “lost dog” and the caption is just “if you find him please keep him”.
Yuto. Everything that Shun is + Ruri taught him how to effectively bite.
Noburu Gongenzaka. he is actually ripped and wears cement shoes for funzies. he could probably just stomp once and my shaky joints would give out on their own. bye.
Yoko Sakaki. canonically beat the stuffing out of people in her past life and I would let her. angry mom energy means I barely make it out alive. smash. wait— shit—

What are you main thoughts on arc v and what you like and don’t like about it?
*Cries out in agony*
Okay fine I'll talk about Arc V.
So... I don't know/remember if this has necessarily been a trend on Tumblr the way it has been in my Discord circles but uh... I have a habit of referring to Arc V as my least favourite Yugioh series.
Now let me clarify. By "least favourite" I do not and never have meant "worst". I have stated before that I love every current Yugioh series and believe they all have entertainment value.
Arc V is not a bad series. It has a lot of genuine merit that I would be remiss not to talk about.
That being said, my overview is going to be critical so don't like? Don't read.
1 The duels, even if they were starting to get a little too complicated by this point, are very fun and breathe life into match ups I otherwise wouldn't care for. Looking at the Arc V duels purely based on the cards and plays, I'd say they're a step up from the overly boss monster reliant but otherwise decent Zexal duels and leagues above the slog-fest overly complicated combo ridden duels of VRAINS.
2 The first season of this show is legitimately fantastic. It has some occasional whatever filler episodes here and there but overall it sets up the characters and story really well and is just fun and engaging to watch in general.
3 The way this series depicts the horrors of war, and how it's not necessarily a black and white issue. Arc V takes a more nuanced approach to this and shows characters being groomed or brainwashed into the cause on both sides, not just the fusion dimension. Serena, Sora, Dennis, Reira, even Yuri to an extent that the show didn't show too well- they're all just children forced to fight in a horrible war and Serena, Sora, and Dennis in particular have really interesting arcs and such fun personalities that they are among my favourites in the show.
4 The foreshadowing and ultimate payoff of certain elements is really satisfying and on my first viewing, eclipsed a lot of the problems Arc V had. The show truly does feel grand and epic and the ultimate reveal of the backstory, Zarc and Ray's stories, how the dimensions split, all of that is really well done and interesting and definitely the most interesting parts of the show on rewatches. But... speaking of rewatches...
I'll admit, I really loved Arc V when I first saw it and declared it my second favorite Yugioh series at the time, beating out Zexal and DM but not GX. It was when I rewatched Arc V that the cracks showed and... my god were they big cracks.
Rewatching the Synchro dimension arc after finally watching and liking 5Ds made me notice how much of the unique riding/turbo dueling elements were taken out in favor of just regular dueling on motorcycles with the occasional action card. But that's a small issue compared to how terrible the social commentary aspects were in the Synchro arc, even without comparing it to 5Ds.
Oh Shinji how they dropped the ball with you.
I'll try to keep this brief but I think the fact that the Synchro arc demonized protesters is incredibly disgusting. And sure, you can claim that the protesters weren't demonized specifically for rioting but for wanting to oppress the rich but you know what? Making all of the protesters, who had very valid reasons to protest by the way, out to just be trying to oppress the rich is still disgusting and I hate it. The way the narrative presents it, it really feels to me like this arc ends with Yuya ultimately forcing his "never fight, only pacifism" beliefs onto LEGITIMATELY OPPRESSED PEOPLE WHO WERE FIGHTING FOR THEIR RIGHTS only to be told "no no no, just talk to your oppressors instead!" which historically, DOES NOT WORK and is a disgusting message to perpetuate, even if it wasn't what the show intended. And this Yuya problem of forcing his ideals onto others along with his character development going in circles are things that do not go away after this. It's a problem with the entire show after the first season and the reason I don't really like canon Yuya very much.
All of this, and also Yuzu's character being destroyed, kills that part of the Synchro arc for me, which is a HUGE part, and the fact that very little actually happens to progress the overall plot for this entire THIRD OF THE SHOW is really frustrating. There's some character development here and there, some arcs being less useless than others, but in terms of major events for the overall story, it really feels like the plot just comes to a screeching halt for most of this arc, with the only things that happen being Serena and Yuzu getting kidnapped, Dennis's betrayal, and Sora's honestly kinda rushed but still decent redemption. So nearly an entire third of the show is both a boring or enraging slog AND doesn't further the overall story I was actually interested in. GREAT.
Also I hate Roget. I don't have any deeper analysis there, I just hate his guts and not in a fun love to hate villain way like Amon from GX. I just hate him and wish he wasn't in this show.
So... the first third of Arc V is great and the second third throws a lot of what made that first third great into the garbage and is so frustrating that I've declared it my most hated Yugioh arc in all eight shows so far. So... where does that leave the final third that most people seem to hate?
...to be honest, I'm in a weird middle ground where I find this final section of Arc V to be both underrated and also not very good. It's... a mixed bag. I have a lot of the same problems with it that most do: the way the show dropped the ball with Reira's arc, Leo Akaba getting off scott-free for being a war-mongering genocidal maniac, the non Yuya and Yuzu yu-boys and bracelet girls becoming irrelevant the way they were by the end, Rin and Ruri getting pretty much nothing but macguffin status, the creepy mind control shit in general, the Battle Beast arc. Just. The stupid ass Battle Beast arc.
Fuck this arc.
And I have some problems that I feel might be unique to me but are major all the same: the legacy characters, especially Asuka and Edo, being poorly written with Asuka overshadowing Yuzu then being sidelined and treated horribly in her duel with Yuri (still one of my most hated duels in the entire franchise) and Edo being incredibly inaccurate to and disingenuous of his character in GX with his arc being incredibly rushed and also feeding into that Yuya problem of insisting "pacifism will resolve everything!" that I mentioned earlier which also logically should not have worked on this version Edo.
Basically, I DESPISE these duels:
And on top of all of that, I don't like the Z-Arc duel. It's got some funny moments in the dub and I like the concept of it but it just goes on for way too long. For how many characters butt into this thing and how obvious it is that none of them are gonna win until Reira steps up (shouldn't have been her, should've been the bracelet girls or actually Ray in some form) it goes on for so damn long and it's just not fun. I feel no desire to rewatch this thing.
Soooo why did I say this arc was a mixed bag when I've had so many negative things to say about it? Honestly, it's just a lot more fun to watch than Synchro arc was. There's more variety in locations, it's not a tournament so the match ups are more surprising and varied, and like I said earlier, the pay off to all the foreshadowing, mostly from the first arc, is really strong. The grander story is back in focus and there are more good character moments sprinkled throughout than there were in Synchro arc. I don't care for Kaito that much in Arc V, or even Zexal II for that matter, but his duels are still fun to watch, I particularly enjoy his duel with Dennis, if just for Dennis.
And while I don't like how overly long the Z-Arc duel is, I still enjoy parts of it and the build up to it is genuinely fantastic. Nearly everything that happens from the Z-Arc backstory up through Yuri vs Yuya and all the duels in between are quite possibly the peak of the entire show. Declan standing up to his shitty father and reinforcing his loyalty to and belief in Yuya is amazing and exactly what Revolver's arc in VRAINS should've been, I love Declan and Riley's duel, Yuri gets to be a fun villain for a while before getting discarded, it's all really great stuff. Maybe it's partially my Declan bias, I really love him, he's my favourite character in the show, but these duels are peak.
Also, apart from the stupid aspects of the ending that I already discussed, the last eight episodes are just. Genuinely good in my eyes? People say they bring the plot to a screeching halt but to me, those episodes are an epilogue, and a pretty good one for the characters the show kept around. I unequivocally like the way Dennis's arc wraps up. I like Shun's duel with Yuya. Shun having to accept his sister and best friend are gone but finding happiness in knowing they do still live on in a way is pretty much the only good thing to come out of forcefully fusing the Yu-boys and bracelet girls. Also Jack and Yuya having a goddamn interdimensional turbo duel is still one of the coolest concepts for a duel EVER. And Declan vs Yuya right after it is a really fun duel with a very good emotional core. Still absolutely LOVE that moment of Yuya understanding and sympathizing with Z-Arc. All these parts are a great way to wrap up the series, even if a lot of the stuff around it isn't.
It's definitely an arc, and show for that matter, of peaks and valleys and sadly, a lot of those valleys really aren't worth trudging through to get to the peaks for me. Arc V, to a more major extent than 5Ds, is the kind of show that I don't feel compelled rewatch in its entirety, just the parts I really like (or need to rewatch for writing reasons or something).
So overall I do like Arc V but it is the Yugioh series I have the most problems with.

In celebration of Shin’s birthday today, may I please request headcanons for him reacting to his girlfriend getting him a meaningful gift and spoiling him rotten? 🥺
Nana ~Celebrating their birthday~
Manga/anime: Nana
Warnings: nothing
(Y/N): your name
Since today is also Reira's birthday, I decided to write headcanons about her as well. Happy reading!
O. Shin'ichi (Shin)
I've the impression he's never celebrated his birthday surrounded by the warmth of his family and friends, so I think he'll be very amazed if you surprise him with cake, gift, decorations at home and the other BLAST members
He'll be really astonished by the care and attention you'll give him all day, as he isn't used to it yet, and at first he might even be unfriendly and avoid them
However, just as over time he's become accustomed to your affection, which he's never received from anyone, the more the day passes, the more he'll become accustomed to your care and attention too
In the evening, after his friends will have left, his eyes will widen when you give him another gift; after opening it, his eyes may water slightly, and he'll run to hug you, burying his face in the crook of your neck
"Thank you... (Y/N), thank you for everything you've done. I don't think you realize how much I appreciate you, and... I just wish for you to know that..."
S. Reira
She'll probably be moved both by your gift and by your care
In fact, as soon as you give her your gift, her eyes will tear up and she'll start to hug you tightly and constantly shout thanks at you, rubbing her cheek against yours
"(Y/N), thank youuuuuuuuuuuu! I love you so muchhhhhhhh, thank youuuuu!"
Furthermore, she'll feel flattered by your care: at first she'll be a little embarrassed and worried that's a way of showing her she isn't paying attention to you (she'll ask herself: is it some sort of spite because I was busy with the recordings and didn't pay her much attention?), but then she'll realize it's "just" for her birthday, and she'll totally melt
At the end of the day, she'll have had so much fun and felt so loved she'll swear to herself to make you feel the same feelings she'll have felt not only during your birthday, but also every day
💮 Rules 💮 Masterlist 💮

"an earnest unrequited love, wanting to make it bear a little happiness" reference
i have posted about my au a couple of times, it's not specific to arc v though it involves yuya and yuri so i shall take this chance to ramble
to introduce. an excerpt of a ramble about my au: "i have my focus sort of split between yuri and yuya's yanhomo weirdness pov v.s. bakura trying to not kill punch beat the shit out of worship marry johan while anzu takes an irritated drag from her cigarette pov" so it's a whole Every Yugioh Crossover and a part of the premise is everyone is at least mildly to severely out of character johan and mokuba are quite different for instance. there aren't relevant arc v characters aside from the aforementioned two but i can mention some. also little extra designs
yugo is yuya's older half brother on yoko's side (likes motorcycles per her influence), they don’t visit each other often but they do talk regularly, yugo tries supporting yuya and being a proper big brother as much as he can. yuto is yuri's estranged older brother but yuri has no memory of him because he was too young when they were separated and yuri was adopted by leo (yes reiji and reira are his siblings. the akabas continue to be the most dysfunctional family ever) yuzu and gongenzaka are yuya's best friends per usual. yuri ran away with yuya for their survival since it's no good to stay in the same spot with a billionaire ceo guy (seto kaiba) tracking them and a jail escapee (kyosuke kiryu) but also just because he wants to have yuya alone
(yuzu and gongenzaka look about the same so just the yu’s and yo)
i frame my au yuri with a lot of yandere shit just because i think it's fun and he does stalk yuya + sometimes treats him like something of a boyfriend but he isn't really in love with yuya? yuri loves and admires himself above all but he sees himself in yuya. literally physically because he thinks they have similar faces and yuri has always unconsciously wanted something of a normal life and family so seeing yuya have that meant projecting on yuya became his favorite hobby. and now because of their situation they're in he uses this new forced closeness with someone for the first time to act out everything he's never experienced (a friend, a parent, a lover)
despite how much yuya might be creeped out or uncomfortable, since yuri has been the real reason he's been able to survive, he feels like he doesn't really have the right to reject yuri in any sense, by all means he's dependent on him in this situation and he can't just leave and go to anyone else unless he wants to put them in danger. also helps that he's scared shitless of him both because yuri is armed, merciless, and he would hurt yuya himself if he wanted to as he only needs yuya alive beyond that yuri doesn't really care how he is physically or mentally. the arrangement is a bit of a nightmare though coming to understand the way he thinks and acts, yuya genuinely pities yuri for the way that he is so he wants to help him be more normal and genuinely befriend him in return for everything he's done to protect him and starts to treats this as something of an obligation but yuri makes it hard to do anything nice for him
(since yuri is a solider baby and views socialization through a power hierarchy he sees these attempts of being kind and friendly as yuya acting above yuri, which he obviously doesn't take very well since he refuses to be below anyone except for leo, his dad. the only reason yuri acts the familiar way he does with yuya is because he sees them on equal footing since in his perspective yuya is essentially an extension him but he still by default treats yuya as someone below him, so yuya can't reciprocate acts of familiarity without yuri being the one to initiate them)
also the au is a future diary au. forgot to mention. yuya and yuri are two of twelve people trying to kill each other and have diaries that tell the future. it follows nothing about future diary outside of that basic premise, yuya and yuri are not the main characters.
clothes concept + notes + etc because you know. i might as well while i’m at it i doubt i’m sharing these any other time
this is test thing of a noncanon scene i had in my head there's the rest of it in script because i could not be damned

NANA ・ナナ・Chapter 79・Hachi, Nobu, Takumi, and Ren
What's the general consensus about Ren possibly being Nobu's kid? Seems like it mostly 70/30 in favor of Takumi as the father. I used to think Takumi was absolutely the father because the timing alone seems to favor him. However, having Nobu on focus with dialogue like this in this panel from chapter 79 had me thinking about what made Ren struggle with the family back together. This could definitely be an intentional mislead! But I'm chewing on the thought nonetheless.
Side note: this write up on Satsuki being Nana and Ren's daughter has me fully convinced.
My head canon prediction for what happens in the future is that something comes to light about Ren's parentage and Ren learns about it himself, maybe overhearing that Nobu is actually his father or learning about the Hachi Nobu Takumi triangle and thinking that his existence caused this rift. People mention just how intelligent Ren is, and maybe he could comprehend the gravity of that love triangle at a young age.
I personally think Nobu follows through on the promise to teach Ren guitar as his own way of honoring a wish from his role model (I don't see Takumi taking the time to teach his son guitar, especially when the backstory of his own musical learning is doing whatever he can himself to play for Reira).
So if Ren were to learn that Nobu – the one who taught him his favorite thing in the world – is his real father, that could totally be fuel for Ren to not want anything to do with Hachi, and follow Takumi to London instead.
Up until this panel, it seems like Takumi was the one who was keeping Ren in London and Ren was having a hard adjustment to life over there. But now with this panel, it seems it's the other way around. It's Ren's choice to stay. And Hachi says she has to "do something about that" of course as his mother, but she's also tied up with finding Nana along with Satsuki being in her care.
Nobu being the father and Ren finding out could also explain the complications surrounding his relationship with Hachi in the future. Right now the two of them seem to enjoy these moments of peace they have when they're alone. But especially if he was Ren's biological father and part of the reason why Ren is away from Hachi, he would respect that space. Like Shin said, Nobu is a pacifist and there's not much he can do in this family matter but support Hachi from a distance without interfering on her (deteriorating) marriage.
I think Nobu and Hachi will eventually get back together when she divorces Takumi. Takumi won't get together with Reira but he will admit he can't untether himself from her radar. I want Nana to come back to everyone and she and Hachi are back in 707. It's hard to imagine what the kids would do though, I haven't gotten that far in the pipeline thought yet.

Hello just found your blog. We have 4 fandom in common so I am never leaving. I love messed up sibling relationships. Your meta are so good. Do you have an rec for more?
Thank you so much, I'm glad you're enjoying it. What four fandoms do we have in common?
Sibling relationships and sibling abuse is one of my favorite topics to explore in fiction. Shitty siblings off the top of my head.
I really enjoy Zane Truesdale and Cyrus in Yu-Gi-Oh GX.
Reiji and Reira in Arc-V are really interesting for the first two seasons, but it ends with Reira being turned into a baby so they can start over so like, it's an ending that ruins the arc.
Mai Zen'in and Maki Zen'in in JJK, but that also ends with Mai committing suicide and being like "I was a bad sister all alone, therefore I deserve to die" so that ruins the arc too.
Azula and Zuko but I don't like the ending there because it reinforces good victim and bad victim instead of deconstructing it.
Seriously, MHA was a better deconstruction of good victim and bad victim, until it ended LIKE THAT.
Vincent Nightray and Elliot Nightray are really good siblings who have an amazing conflict where neither is demonized, and they get to reconcile and the ending is GOOD. They also both get great individual character arcs too.
Itachi and Sasuke in Naruto (this is one of my favorites, one of the few arcs in Naruto that got a good conclusion).
Rukia and Byakuya's relationship in Bleach is one of the best examples too, and when Byakuya gets his ass kicked for being a bad brother he spends the rest of the manga improving.
Ayato and Touka's relationship in Tokyo Ghoul, one of the few arcs that Tokyo Ghoul bothers to resolve, though a lot of their development is offscreened.
Starfire and Blackfire (I think you've read this.)
Mion and Shion from Higurashi When They Cry. Shion's character is a perfect tragedy. They get a happy ending eventually though, because of Time Loops.
That's also all I can think of for now. I'm very sad that a lot of these end with "I really like these siblings but the ending is so bad it completely ruins it".

i am never recovering from ren honjo because just realizing the laundry list of things he had ahead of him, the things he needed and wanted to do, the promises he made, and the reasons he went on that fateful solo car ride in the first place. i feel like, on that cold night he had decided to take everything into his own hands, even if he already had so much on his plate. his addiction had spiraled into reira leaving and he had ignored everyone's pleas to fetch nana back, he was going to drive back to everything and try to fix it all. he was going to convince reira to come back, he got nana a present he supposedly cherished before leaving, that he kept especially safe in his car—he was going to be the first person to wish her happy birthday just as hachi had told him to and he was going to try again with nana. he had so many things planned for himself. he was going to have to get over his drug addiction without professional help and in his environment, he was going to protect and keep trapnest safe no matter what, he was going to rekindle his relationship with nana and hopefully marry her one day, he was going to meet hachi's baby that he helped name, he was going to play guitar again, he was going to be trapnest's ren honjo again—he was going to do so much. god, even in heavy snow, with his eyes playing tricks on him, and search right on his tail—ren still drove. it hurts knowing his circumstances and it hurts realizing every minute detail about his death. it hurts knowing even if he'd never decided to start his car's engine up it wouldn't even guarantee he'd live another week. that's just how tragic his death is, seeing it coming was clearer than a summer sky, but it felt like maybe that ever distant cloud could shield from this reality and paint a more muted hopeful one. i don't know, i guess i just really miss ren honjo already.... in less hopeless terms, ren's death messed me tf up and i'm still trying to recover from that shit.. but what was i really expecting going into nana?? well, girl love, that's what, but ren and as well his and nana's relationship ended up outshining nanahachi 4 me and this is me desperately trying to put how i feel into words.. originally i wrote this just for a friend but they encouraged me to start this blog, so here we are! ≧ᗜ≦ also first serious post !!! hi tumblr

CONTENT. Angst, ADULTERY, unrequited love, childhood friends to NOT lovers.
A complex and emotionally charged story that revolves around the intertwined lives of Y/N and Atsumu and their affair
WC. 4.3k
A/N. Okay I'm going to put it straight. Y/N is dependant on Atsumu which makes it why she appears so 'weak' or wtv. Atsumu doesn't love Y/N, kind of explained in the story which is why this one is super long. This is probably one of my deep deep one shots and there's reasons for their actions. Not defending cheating and I've said it before, this is going to be a deep one. Also its heavily inspired by Takumi and Reira's relationship.
Masterlink - Songs Unwritten
The soft rays of the morning sun bathed the small coastal town where Y/N and Atsumu grew up together. The sound of crashing waves served as the backdrop to the story of two childhood friends who shared an unbreakable bond that even fate couldn't sever.
Y/N and Atsumu had been inseparable since they were little, finding solace in each other's company. Atsumu's childhood was marked by tragedy when he lost his mother at a tender age. Grief weighed heavy on his young heart, and he faced a rough path ahead. But amid the darkness, Y/N stood like a beacon of light, guiding him through the shadows.
When the news first broke of his mother, she found him sitting alone on the beach they had spent countless hours playing as children. The usually lively and energetic boy seemed like a mere shadow of himself, lost in the depths of grief. Y/N approached him quietly, her heart aching at the sight of her dear friend in pain.
"Atsumu," she whispered, her voice filled with gentle concern.
Atsumu looked up, his tear-streaked face meeting her worried gaze. He didn't say anything, but the unspoken anguish in his eyes told Y/N everything she needed to know.
Without a word, she sat down beside him, wrapping her arms around him in a comforting embrace. She didn't try to offer empty words of consolation; she knew that nothing she said could take away the pain he felt. Instead, she simply held him close, allowing him to lean on her for support.
As the waves crashed against the shore, Y/N stayed by his side, offering him the solace he desperately needed. Time seemed to lose its meaning as they sat there, the world around them fading into insignificance. Y/N understood the power of silent companionship, and she was determined to be there for him in his darkest hour.
"It hurts so much, Y/N," Atsumu finally choked out, his voice breaking with emotion.
"I know," Y/N replied, her voice equally choked with emotion. "I can't take away your pain, Atsumu, but I promise you won't have to face it alone."
Atsumu looked at her, gratitude mingling with sorrow in his eyes. "Thank you, Y/N. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"You don't have to worry about that," Y/N said, her voice firm with conviction. "I'll be here for you, no matter what. We've always been there for each other, right?"
Atsumu nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Yeah, we have."
In the days that followed, Y/N kept true to her word. She stayed by Atsumu's side, offering him a shoulder to lean on and a listening ear whenever he needed it. She helped him make funeral arrangements and stood with him as he bid his final farewell to his mother.
Through it all, Y/N remained a pillar of strength for Atsumu, guiding him through the storm of emotions that threatened to overwhelm him. She reminded him of the happy memories they had shared, and together, they found solace in the knowledge that his mother's love would always be with him.
As time passed, Atsumu's wounds began to heal, but the memory of his mother remained etched in his heart. And through it all, Y/N continued to be his rock, the one constant presence in his life, just as she had been since their childhood.
Their bond grew even stronger, cemented by the trials they had faced together. Atsumu knew that he could always count on Y/N, and she knew that her place in his life was irreplaceable.
From their earliest memories, Y/N had been the pure entity in Atsumu's life. She possessed a quiet strength that calmed the storm in his heart. The two of them spent countless hours playing on the beach, building sandcastles and chasing seagulls. But as they grew older, Atsumu's shared passion for volleyball became the center of their universe.
Atsumu discovered his love for the sport during his elementary school years, and Y/N became his muse and inspiration. Because of that, Atsumu soared to new heights, earning a spot in the national team and eventually securing a place in the pro Olympic team.
Throughout their journey in the world of volleyball, Y/N stood by Atsumu's side, managing every aspect of his career. Her unwavering support and dedication were unparalleled. She managed his schedules, arranged training sessions, and took care of all the logistical details, allowing Atsumu to focus solely on his game.
As the years passed, Y/N’s admiration for Atsumu grew deeper, but in the pursuit of their dreams, the world presented them with a harsh reality when Atsumu’s one night stand, Emi, was pregnant.
Atsumu's heart felt like an impenetrable fortress as he delivered the news to Y/N. He revealed Emi's pregnancy with a cold detachment that left Y/N reeling. She had always hoped for a different outcome, but the reality was far from her dreams.
"Y/N, I wanted you to know that Emi is pregnant," Atsumu said flatly, his gaze avoiding her eyes.
Y/N's heart sank, and she struggled to keep her composure. "Oh, I see."
Atsumu continued, his voice void of emotion. "We've decided to get married to avoid any potential scandal. It's the right thing to do."
She tried to hide her hurt, burying her feelings deep within. "I understand, Atsumu. It's important to consider what's best for everyone involved."
But her heart was breaking, knowing that Atsumu didn't care for her the way she cared for him. He saw their night together as a mere blip in the grand scheme of things, while she held onto it like a precious memory she couldn't let go of.
As the days passed, Y/N watched Atsumu prepare for his impending marriage with a heavy heart. She couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal, knowing that he was marrying someone he didn't truly love, while her love for him remained unrequited.
One evening, as the sun set over the horizon, Y/N found herself seeking solace in their favorite spot on the beach. Atsumu found her there, his face expressionless as he approached.
"Y/N, are you okay?" he asked, his voice tinged with a hint of concern.
She forced a smile, masking her true emotions. "I'm fine, Atsumu. Just thinking about everything."
Atsumu sat down beside her, the distance between them feeling vast and insurmountable. "I know this isn't easy for you, and I'm sorry for that."
Her heart clenched at his words, knowing that he was apologizing out of obligation rather than genuine concern. "It's not your fault, Atsumu. You have to do what's right for you and your family."
Atsumu looked away, seemingly unable to confront the reality of their situation. "I hope you'll still be there for me, Y/N. You've always been my rock."
Y/N fought back tears, her voice soft but resolute. "Of course, Atsumu. I'll always be here for you, no matter what happens."
And in that moment, she knew that her love for him would never waver, even if his heart belonged to another. Y/N understood that she couldn't force him to feel something he didn't, but she also couldn't abandon the one person who had always been there for her.
As the waves crashed against the shore, Y/N found strength in knowing that she would continue to be Atsumu's source of comfort, even if he could never return her love.
He couldn't abandon Y/N, not after all she had done for him. His conscience struggled with the guilt of leaving her behind. Still, he couldn't deny the responsibility he held for Emi and the child growing inside her. The weight of responsibility bore down on him, and he decided to marry Emi, promising to care for her and their child.
Y/N, though heartbroken, put on a brave face and continued to support Atsumu as his friend. She knew he needed her now more than ever, and she refused to abandon him, just as he refused to abandon her. But deep inside, she couldn't help but hope that someday, he would see her as more than a friend and manager.
Y/N understood the complexity of their relationship. She knew Atsumu used her presence and affection to fill the void in his heart, but she couldn't bring herself to deny him. She loved him unconditionally, even if it meant being the second choice in his life.
One day, as Y/N was going through Atsumu's schedule and emails, she noticed a particular message that caught her eye. It was an invitation to Atsumu's wedding. Her heart sank as she read the words on the screen, and a mix of emotions overwhelmed her.
For a moment, she felt a wave of jealousy and heartbreak, knowing that the man she loved was about to marry someone else. But beneath those emotions, she also felt happiness for him, knowing that he had found love and a family of his own.
Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes as she closed the email. She couldn't bear to think of a life without Atsumu by her side, but she had always known that this day might come. He deserved happiness, even if it wasn't with her.
With a heavy heart, Y/N decided to confront Atsumu. She found him at the training facility, sweating and focused as he prepared for his next game. She took a deep breath, steadying herself for the conversation ahead.
"Atsumu," she called out, her voice tinged with both sadness and resolve.
He turned to her, a warm smile lighting up his face. "Hey, Y/N. What's up?"
Y/N tried to smile back, but the weight of her emotions made it difficult. "I saw the email," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Congratulations on your wedding."
Atsumu's expression softened, and he approached her, sensing the heaviness in her words. "Thank you, Y/N. I wanted to talk to you about it."
Y/N shook her head gently, not wanting to burden him with her feelings. "It's okay, Atsumu. I understand. You deserve to be happy."
His brow furrowed with concern, Atsumu reached out to cup her cheek. "Y/N, you mean the world to me. You know that, right? You've always been there for me, and I'll never forget that."
A single tear escaped Y/N's eye, and she leaned into his touch, savoring the comfort it brought. "I know, Atsumu. And I'll always be here for you, no matter what happens."
He pulled her into a warm embrace, holding her close. "You're my rock, Y/N. I couldn't have achieved any of this without you."
As much as Y/N wanted to confess her feelings at that moment, she held back, not wanting to put any burden on Atsumu before his big day. She cherished the closeness they shared, even if it was tinged with a bittersweet ache.
The day of the wedding arrived, and Y/N stood at the back of the venue, watching as Atsumu and his bride exchanged vows. Her heart swelled with both joy and heartache as she witnessed the love between them. She couldn't help but wonder if she would ever find a love like that for herself.
Amid the celebrations, Y/N found herself stealing glances at Atsumu, his happiness radiating from him. He caught her eye at one point, and a soft smile played on his lips, as if he could sense her turmoil. It only deepened the ache in her heart.
The aftermath of Atsumu's wedding was a tumultuous time for Y/N. She tried to suppress her feelings for him, burying them deep within her heart while continuing to be the dedicated friend he relied on.
As time went by, Atsumu found it increasingly difficult to keep Y/N at a distance. She had been his sanctuary, his escape from the harsh realities of his troubled childhood. She was the one thing that made life bearable, the pure and soothing melody amidst the cacophony of his past.
But as he matured, he realized that he couldn't keep clinging to the illusion of Y/N as his saving grace. She was a person with her own desires, dreams, and emotions, not just a figure in his life to bring him comfort. He wanted her to be happy, but he struggled to face the reality that maybe he couldn't be the one to give her that happiness.
Atsumu tried to find his own path, embracing his passion for volleyball, pursuing a career as an Olympic athlete and now a married man. He discovered a purpose beyond just relying on Y/N, but deep down, he knew that her feelings for him hadn't disappeared.
Yet Y/N couldn't help but yearn for more from Atsumu. As they grew older, she wanted to be seen not just as his source of comfort but as a woman with her own identity. She wanted to share a genuine connection with him, beyond their childhood bond. Her love for him only intensified as she saw him flourish and succeed, but she also knew that she couldn't sacrifice her own desires and happiness for his sake.
One evening, as the sun set over the beach, Y/N and Atsumu sat side by side, the waves gently lapping at their feet. The atmosphere was calm, and the air was filled with a comfortable silence.
Y/N spoke softly, her eyes fixed on the horizon. "I'm happy for you, Atsumu. I really am. Emi is a wonderful woman, and I know she loves you deeply."
Atsumu smiled, his hand reaching out to pat her on her head, stroking it. "Thank you, Y/N. Your support means everything to me."
Y/N's voice was tinged with vulnerability as she finally mustered the courage to address the unspoken tension between them. "Atsumu, I need to talk to you about something important."
Atsumu's face remained impassive, his guard firmly in place. "Go ahead, Y/N."
Her heart sank but she pressed on, determined to bring their feelings to light. "I’ve been in love with you for so many years now. I don't think I can see you with another woman and live the life I wanted with you!"
Atsumu's eyes flickered, a distant look in his gaze. "Y/N, you're important to me, but you're overthinking things. We're friends, that's it."
Her heart shattered, but she refused to show weakness. "Friends... is that all you see me as, Atsumu?"
He sighed, as if her emotions were a burden he'd rather not carry. "I don't want to deal with this right now. Can we just drop it?"
Y/N bit her lip, holding back tears as she nodded. "Sure, Atsumu. We can drop it."
The silence that followed felt suffocating, filled with unspoken words and shattered dreams. Atsumu's distance was like a cold wall between them, and Y/N felt herself retreating further into her own world of unrequited love.
As the days passed, Atsumu remained aloof, avoiding any conversations that delved into their emotions. Y/N tried to maintain their friendship, but the pain of his indifference was becoming too much to bear.
One evening, as they found themselves alone after a volleyball game, Y/N couldn't contain her emotions any longer. "Atsumu, I can't keep pretending that everything's okay. You're so distant, and it hurts."
Atsumu glanced at her, his expression unchanged. "I have a lot on my plate right now. I can't deal with this emotional drama."
Her voice trembled, her pain slipping through her defenses. "It's not just drama, Atsumu. These are my feelings, and they matter."
He sighed, frustration creeping into his tone. "Look, Y/N, I don't know what you want me to say. I don't feel the same way, and I can't force myself to."
The weight of his words hung in the air, a painful admission of their mismatched feelings. Y/N felt like an intruder in her own heart, unwelcome and rejected.
As the distance between them grew, Y/N felt like she was losing the one person who had always been her anchor. She couldn't bear the coldness that had replaced the warmth of their friendship, but she didn't know how to bridge the gap between them.
In the depths of his heart, Atsumu knew that Y/N had fallen deeply in love with him. Her unwavering support and the sacrifices she made for him were undeniable signs of her feelings. He was aware that she longed for him to see her as more than just a friend, to acknowledge her as a woman, and to reciprocate the love she held for him.
Atsumu was no stranger to the fact that he was the reason for Y/N's dependence on him. He couldn't forget how she had been his haven during their tumultuous childhood, the one person who had believed in him when nobody else did. She had been his comfort, his refuge, and his muse for volleyball, unknowingly becoming the foundation upon which his life was built.
Guilt gnawed at him as he realized that he owed so much to Y/N. He felt an obligation that he couldn't just abandon her even after all the times she had been his guiding light. However, in his conflicted heart, he couldn't find the same depth of emotion for her that she had for him.
Every encounter with Y/N was tinged with a bittersweet sense of duty. He wanted to give her the experience of being seen as a woman, to make her feel desired and cherished, even if it was just for those stolen moments. But deep down, Atsumu couldn't deny that his heart belonged elsewhere, to a woman he was legally bound to and the child they were about to have.
He knew he couldn't deny the truth any longer – Y/N needed to be seen, loved, and cherished as the woman she was. The walls he had built around his heart began to crumble as he saw the pain in her eyes, and he knew that he couldn't keep her caged in the role he had assigned to her.
One night, after a particularly emotional game, Atsumu sought solace in Y/N's presence. They were alone in his hotel room, and he sat on the edge of the bed, exhaustion etched on his face.
Y/N approached him, concerned in her eyes. "Are you okay, Atsumu?"
He looked up at her, his guard lowered, and vulnerability shining through. "I'm just... tired, Y/N. Tired of pretending that I'm happy when I'm not."
Y/N sat beside him, offering her shoulder to lean on. "You don't have to pretend with me, Atsumu. I'm here for you, always."
Atsumu turned to her, his gaze intense. "You're the only one who truly understands me, Y/N. You're my comfort, my refuge."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat, but she swallowed the lump in her throat, not daring to reveal her own feelings just yet. "You mean a lot to me too, Atsumu. You always will."
The tension in the room was palpable, and for a moment, it seemed as though they might bridge the gap between friendship and something more.
Their guard slipped, and the boundaries between friendship and desire blurred. The passion that had been simmering beneath the surface for so long erupted, and they found solace in each other's arms.
In the heat of the moment, they forgot about the world outside, the consequences of their actions, and the pain that would inevitably follow. For a brief time, they shared an intimate connection, but it was far from what Y/N had hoped for. She yearned for more than a fleeting encounter; she longed for Atsumu's love and devotion.
Their affair was a complex dance of emotions, built on a foundation of dependence, gratitude, and unrequited love. Atsumu's actions were driven by a sense of indebtedness, while Y/N's heart was entangled in the love she couldn't help but feel for the man who had become her everything. The affair was born out of a desperate desire to give Y/N what she wanted, even if he couldn't offer her the love she deserved. Atsumu knew that he could provide her with fleeting moments of passion and physical closeness, even if it wouldn't heal the wounds of her unrequited love.
With the weight of their emotions pressing upon them, they gave in to temptation, having an affair that only heightened the complexity of their relationship. Atsumu grappled with guilt and confusion, knowing that he couldn't offer Y/N the love she deserved. Their connection was intense, but it lacked the depth she craved.
When Y/N finally woke up fully, she found herself alone in the hotel room. Atsumu was gone, leaving behind only the faint traces of their fleeting intimacy. The reality of the situation hit her like a tidal wave, and the weight of her unrequited love settled heavily upon her heart.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she realized that nothing had changed between them. Their night together had been a momentary escape, but it hadn't altered Atsumu's feelings for her. He had sought comfort in her arms, but it wasn't love that brought him there; it was his need for solace and a temporary escape from his responsibilities.
The realization crushed Y/N. She had allowed herself to believe, if only for a brief moment, that their connection had deepened into something more. But the truth was evident now – Atsumu's heart belonged to another, and she would forever be relegated to the role of a friend, a manager, and nothing more.
With trembling hands, Y/N wiped away her tears, determined to regain her composure.
For Y/N, it was both a bittersweet moment of passion and a heart-wrenching realization that her love for Atsumu might always be unrequited. She felt like a songbird trapped in a cage of her own making, unable to spread her wings and be her own person.
Y/N struggled to find her own identity outside of Atsumu's shadow. She knew that she deserved more than being a source of comfort whenever he needed solace. She yearned to break free from the cage she had willingly entered and find her own happiness, even if it meant letting go of the one person who had defined so much of her life.
The pain of unrequited love weighed heavily on her shoulders, she found herself unable to let go of Atsumu. The affair they had embarked upon only intensified the conflict within her, as it became a bitter reminder of his emotional unavailability.
Despite the heartache and knowledge that Atsumu didn't truly love her, Y/N couldn't resist the allure of their stolen moments together. She craved his touch, his presence, and the temporary illusion of being loved, even though deep down, she knew it wasn't real.
In the stillness of the night, after each encounter with Atsumu, she would find herself crying, her tears mingling with the tumultuous emotions within. She knew she was just a placeholder, a fleeting escape from the reality. But she was powerless to resist, chained to her love for him like a captive to her captor.
The affair had turned into a double-edged sword, providing moments of ecstasy intertwined with the bitter taste of her unrequited love. Atsumu's distance outside of their encounters became more pronounced, leaving her feeling isolated and alone even in his presence.
Each time she saw him with his wife, Emi, or heard him talk about their future together, it was a painful reminder of where she stood in his life – a secret, a guilty pleasure. The disparity between her feelings and his indifference was a chasm that seemed impossible to bridge.
Y/N knew she was losing herself in this affair, but the love she felt for Atsumu was a relentless force, pulling her back into his arms time and time again. The brief moments of passion only served to amplify her heartache, leaving her feeling more broken than ever.
And yet, she couldn't find the strength to break free. The fear of losing the one connection she had with him, no matter how flawed and unfulfilling, was too great. She clung to their encounters like a lifeline, even as it dragged her deeper into the abyss of unrequited love.
In the quiet solitude of her own space, she would cry silent tears, mourning the love she could never have while convincing herself that this was better than nothing. Her heart may have been shattered, but her love for Atsumu burned bright, a painful flame she couldn't extinguish.
Navigating the complexities of love and heartbreak, clinging to a love that seemed destined to remain one-sided. She found herself entangled in a web of emotions, torn between holding onto Atsumu and finding the strength to let go. But in the depths of her heart, she knew that her love for him was a double-edged sword, both her salvation and her torment.
Trapped in a web of love and dependence. She clung to the stolen moments with Atsumu, even though she knew they weren’t out of intimacy or love. Her heart ached for his love, but she couldn't bear to let him go, not when he was the very reason for her existence.
In the quiet moments after their encounters, when the passion had faded and reality crept back in, Y/N would find herself crying tears of both joy and despair. She cherished the memories of their moments together, yet she couldn't escape the pain of knowing that Atsumu's heart belonged elsewhere.
The bittersweet truth was that Y/N knew that she would forever remain the other woman, a melody destined to play in the background of Atsumu's life, never to take center stage in his heart.

Hey, do you imagine Shiho and Ran as rival singers, but behind the scenes they are girlfriends?
This idea came to me when I was listening to Olivia Lufkin's Little Pain and being on one of the most wholesome platforms in the world Twetter 🤣 and well, putting as the last ingredient two girls loved and hated by their extreme fandoms, I came up with this idea.
And well, I got a small summary like this:
Ran and Shiho, although they are new singers, have had great popularity both for their different styles that, although different, are equally captivating, Ran being with her sweet princess style taken from a fairy tale and Shiho with her punk style that always attracts with its mystery and sarcasm. . Although both have had their collaborations and it is seen that they get along well, their fans cannot help but hate each other and all thanks to the false or not so false gossip that has been spread, one of the most popular is that they are both in love with the famous detective. Shinichi Kudo There are several versions about this gossip, one of them is that he is Ran's boyfriend since high school and Shiho is the third in discord, others that it is Ran who wants to get involved in their relationship since Shiho met the young Kudo at a case linked to her personal life that no one in the press knows what it is about, they only know that it is about a relative of Shiho.
But what people don't know is that they don't hate each other but they aren't friends either if they aren't girlfriends who, even because of society and because they are still novice singers, have not been able to make their relationship public and even worse with that gossip that not only It has affected them in their lives as musical artists but also in their personal lives since although they are girlfriends they do not know much about their past, for example Shiho did know that Ran was Shinichi's girlfriend in high school but she did not know it. that they had known each other since they were children, she feels a little intimidated to see that they are still close and Ran, although she does know the story of why Shiho's sister was cruelly murdered, she did not know that she physically resembled her sister. and now she's afraid that Shino won't love her. for being Ran but for physically resembling Akemi.
and anyway that was my summary/idea of Ran x Shiho Although it is obvious that I was inspired by NANA, I couldn't help it 🤭🤭🤭I like the idea of a mix of Hachi and Reira, even though I would like it even more when it comes to the casual clothing style, Hachi's clothing style and for stages, Reira's clothing style for Ran and Shiho on stage Nana's clothing style for the stage but an elegant style for daily life like Yukari
Si te preguntas cómo se conocieron, me gusta la idea de que se conocieron en una de sus colaboraciones, hablaron, se dieron sus números y ya no quisieron separarse.
ps: I feel like Shiho was the first to take the first step.

1 and 21.
1. Character that everyone gets wrong.
Lol, we're starting with the heavy weaponry aren't we? You know? To spice things a little bit, I'm gonna choose an Arc V character and a Kubera character, even though only one of my mutuals reads the last one >.>
Arc V
Well... as much as I would like to say Reiji again, I think I've established enough times how misinterpreted his character is, so this time I'll choose...
Ray Akaba, I wasn't even aware that there were still people around who apparently hate her so much, that they would call for the "Ray hater nation" or whatever, I'm not gonna mention who it was but it was very recent, which honestly makes me remember that one tweet pointing out how silly people sound when they justify not liking badly written female character, how they'd supposedly love them if they were better written, when they couldn't handle any of them having one bad feeling for they boyfavs.
And that's really all there sees to be behind A LOT of the Ray hate going around: They hate her because canonically she defeated Zarc and she split him and then split herself to chase him across dimensions, and hate that she was the one who had to give the coup of grace in the duel against him.
They hate that canonically, Ray is one of the best duelist in the yugiohverse, and they will pull the weirdest excuses out of their backside to justify why she's the worst, how she was "too conceited" to believe she could take Zarc on her on, like excuse me, she absolutely took him down, TWICE, not sure what series you were watching, how she supposedly pulled a deus ex machina with the En Cards, as if the requirements to use them weren't ridiculously difficult to meet and wouldn't require a very skilled duelist, how she was dumb for sparing Leo because he caused an wat to bring her back, like, sweetie, the world would have ended anyway because with or without Leo, Zarc would have awakened eventually, that's why Ray set herself to always chase him down and defeat him over and over, like honestly i could dedicate a whole rant essay to the ridiculous claims I've seen made about her.
But the one thing everyone ALWAYS gets wrong is this, and I'm gonna put it in all caps and bold text because it needs to be said:
RAY ALONG WITH ZARC CREATED THE PENDULUM SUMMON AND THE PENDULUM CARDS!!
(AND VERY LIKELY ALSO YUYA'S PENDULUM NECKLACE)
Seriously people, this isn't rocket science, the entirety of the 6th opening and ending is FULL of visual cues about how the both of them did it, we have visuals of Yuya and Yuzu forming the energy for the Pendulum, we know Ray was able to create and give cards to Reira in her spirit-like form, heck, lately the card game has released a bunch of cards that attach the word pendulum to Ray as well, come on.
And that's just something that a large portion of the fandom always gets wrong about her.
Kubera
For this webtoon there is way too many people with the worst takes on many characters, befitting as the characterization of the story is very complex and well-made, and many of them are girls, and the girls can just as flawed and commit terrible actions as the dude characters.
But one character that seems to exceed the number of bad takes rather than the good ones is Menaka.
Menaka is a nastika, a race who in this story are sort of like opposing force to the gods, the author has even mentioned that humans sort of see them like "evil gods", some fit the label more than others, and others like Menaka are the exact opposite of evil, she was actually hailed as the one nastika who was qualified enough to eventually become the wisest king of the clans, and would be the first one to reach enlightenment and defeat one of the main villains. Unfortunately this one villain would have none of that and screwed her over on a cosmological level to the point it costed her everything, her power, her life, her clan, her future, and she ended up being screwed over after her death and then some more.
Without saying too many things confusing to non-readers that's the gist, as as the type of character who was tricked into abandoning everything for the greater good, and lived and died to regret it because she ended up doing a lot of damages for her decisions as well, and then sacrifice herself once more she's the perfect candidate to be hated, mischaracterized, mocked, straight up make things up about her character that you'd thing they're talking about someone else.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that people called her a groomer and the true villain of the story, not like a joke or hyperbole, but as like what they actually think of her -_-'
Uff, that was hard to write without possibly spoiling anyone lol (don't judge me, Kubera in ongoing, Arc V is over :P)
21. part of canon you think is overhyped
Arc V
The Xyz arc, that all I have to say, I mean, you guys know me, for those who follow me when it was airing, you know my feelings about it and you know the absolute boredom that brings me every single time any of the xyz dimension characters were the focus (unless Yuzu, Dennis, Sora or Yuya were in them lol)
People love to say that the series did them dirty because they deserved a full arc, but honestly, we deserved a full arc dedicated to the fusion dimension, and I will die in that hill.
Kubera.
You know? Kubera doesn't have overhyped parts, because the series as a whole is just so underrated and obscure, and everything is so interwoven together, that it's impossible to remove any parts without affecting the overarching plot so... *shrugs*

Since I written this
I thought (and I still thinking) so much about it thanks to some of you guys and I get a new point of view about it.
1 ) So I just realize that “Everyone" thinks that nana replace yasu with ren .. I received so many messages and comments in every social I post about it like this :
Hell No.
Ok. She love him , (yasu yes.) I think it me too indeed like I said before. ….But she also loves ren too! In 57👇chapter she felts so sad when ren said to her that perhaps it would be better to cancel the wedding because their love no needed to anything else especially of a piece of paper. So why she felt like she was dying there?
Because she loves ren. (!)…In another way but she loves ren too so much .
And another thing: no, yasu is not asexual. lol
2) I received something like this too👇
Just to be honest in the story nana say that she becomes “in love“ or she feel she bonded with yasu, but after this moment.. and during That period of time that nana and ren were apart.. i believe in nana x ren... now I was just confused😐
Because ren has a very sad fate in the end in everypoint you can see his life . So even nana it is like this . Their are really our Sid An Nancy For real 😳😆…
SO again, ren was not perfect.. but either love it is perfect like dreams sometimes and it’s so illogical for everyone who we love. So I think they loved each other no matter what happened.
Its so clear that yasu loves nana (anyway poor miu for be “the replaced “ by yasu for his secret love for nana😅 😂 😳 no? ) and her love his presence … maybe she really loves him as well but its not my point now, I know she runs to yasu whenever she has a problem or when she has afraid of something. But sometimes we escape from the person who we love more because we are afraid of being hurt by the person we care most about. I know it’s illogical thing but it’s so real .
That’s why I believe and I hope, no matter in the manga or in the anime , Nana and Ren are soulmates. I think we have this idea that soulmates are "perfect" in a way and Ai Yazawahas a great way of showing you that'snot exactly true! Even soul mates don't get a happy ending because that's how Life is.
In the end my only hope is that nana love ren a little more no matter what .. despite knowing that yasu was or is still so special for her…🙏🏻 . i know im crazy that i still believe in nanaxren and their “love” no matter what Despite knowing that shions “thank you theory”in 77 chapters 👇 and that shin speech with nobu in 50chapter … im totally insane yep 👍
Anyway i feel that Nana still was hurt about rens decision of leave her years ago for his career but worst of it she was cold to him because she was jealous of reira for have steal ren s heart(especially just only Singing…) so I think nana was so confused about her ego and no because she doesn't love him anymore... that's why she didn't want to see him. She escapes from him because She was hurt.
So Their love its full of suffering about past issues not yet resolved.
… and despite this👇
Yea it’s so deep this panel, 👆 that I feel so sorry for ren sometimes just only thinking about it…(maybe it’s true this theory so this is the end of the story! ) but now I remember to myself there’s no a love of first class and love of second class in the end…. especially in this manga.😂
I think also in a strange way anyway that takumi loved hachi and her loved him despite the fact that he was a raper …..! ( For example . )
Omg 😳 yes ….and hachi still wanted to be there for him . This is so crazy but its like the story goes.
So what!? Love is not perfect. In the end.
————————————————————-
(Nana was so cute in this panel ☺️)
I decided to write it today because it’s Christmas so this means it’s a very special day for nanaxren lovers and supporters .
So… merry Christmas everyone 🫶
