New arrivals! I'm sure it has been mentioned before, but I absolutely adore the Comfy Friends/Fuwa Fuwa Daki Pokemon plush line. Like, I fully think they're the best plush line Pokemon has done. They are all so soft and perfect for hugging! Recently a new wave came out: Komala, Mimikyu, Hisuian Zorua, and Venonat!

I originally planned to get only venonat and zorua, but I ended up accidentally ordering mimikyu too. And I can't just send her back, look at her 😭 she's adorable!

Hisuian zorua is so pretty, her colors are amazing! I love how they translated the gradient to bands of color that get darker. For printed, short pile fabric, a gradient is easy; not so much with longer fur. I hope we get snow this winter, I want to take photos of her in the snow!

Naturally the one I was most excited for is venonat, because it's a bug. A cute bug! He's so perfect, his little hands 😭

The new arrivals are right at home on my comfy friends shelf!

I had this idea to fit the body pattern of a mimikyu onto my TF beanbag plush heads........ and a friend of mine completely encouraged I try it ......

So here we go! a crossover nobody asked for 😂 Mimikyu disguised as Jazz. I wonder who should Mimikyu try to disguise themselves as next 🤔🤔🤔 Just a lonely little ghost trying to be loved by disguising themselves as a well-liked robot character 😅

shin with an espeon because he canonically likes cats. he probably wanted an umbreon to match the cat plush in sou’s room but eevee followed him to work on a day shift and evolved, but he loves his partner anyways :)

sara with umbreon because she wanted a black cat in the manga. the type matchups make sense to me with shin having the weaker matchup.

gin with a growlithe and q-taro with an arcanine would be so cuteee. they’re father and son to me idc 😭

joe with a rockruff omlll. his uniform would always be a little roughed up because he can never resist playing with his partner!!

a zorua would go so well with reko’s color scheme aaaaa. maybe having it use rain dance during live venues to preform with her!!

nao with an altaria because the artbook said she likes fluffy thingss. i could totally see her napping with an altaria. little bit angsty here, but maybe a mishima’s smergle she raises after his death

alice with a zebstrika or furret because he likes striped things. i like to imagine his pokemon would occasionally bicker with reko’s zorua, but get their ass beat every time 😭

kai would have a ghost time to freak the yabusames out like he did in ytts. maybe a sableye or a yamask, but i feel like he would look so cunty with a froslass!!

i have no reason for this one but keiji with a gible makes sense in my head. idk… i can just see him doing his best to calm down a rambunctious gible that’s chasing the other participants around.

anzu with a blacephalon because its clownlike and not as off-putting as mr mime. i don’t like mr. mime, and i also feel like it’d be an uncreative cop-out to give her.

kuramada with a primape or hitmonlee that he spars with from time to time. they have specially tailored boxing gloves :”)

mai with a fidough. no explanation needed. your honor, they have matching bread hats!! she lets her partner help in the kitchen and just prays the fda doesn’t swing by.

i imagine kanna with a sweets themed pokemon bc of her pudding bucket in ytts. maybe a milcery or alcremie. i imagine shin’s espeon has a timid nature and she has to let it slowly warm up to her and her partner pokemon.

i feel like hinako would have a giant terrifying ass pokemon, slightly due to the fact that she’s intimidating and mysterious herself. mostly due to the fact that i think it would be really funny for the shortest character to have a giant scary pokemon lurking behind them.

ranmaru is kinda gloomy, so i feel like he would empathize well with a mimikyu and they would bond in no time. his partner is terrified of sara’s umbreon and every time he tries to approach her, mimikyu panics and he gives up. poor guy :(

hayasaka with a really mischievous rotom that he cannot control is a really cute image in my head, so i’m giving him that

Mitsuri finds it so unbelievably cute when you show her your bedroom. It’s so lively and stylish, it fits you well

Mitsuri will lay on your bed when she wants to but she will always reorganise where all the plushies originally laid so it’s tidy again. She is respectful like that

Mitsuri just can’t help but take pictures of your room, it is like the perfect representation of how adorable you are and she wants o brag about it

Rengoku Kyojuro

Kyojuro views your adorable colourful, plush-filled bedroom as a direct representation of you and he simply loves what he sees

Kyojuro swears he has had the best sleep of his goddamn life when he takes a well-needed nap on your adorable bed

Shinobu, at first, found it a bit odd. You aren’t the most serious person she has met but you’re not a child, what’s with the plushie obsession?

Shinobu, the more she spends time in your pretty little room, grows accustom to all the adorable pastel dolls on your bed and even reorganises them to be colour order to see your reaction

Shinobu will never pass down the opportunity to cuddle with you in bed and she just smiles when your throw a plush at her

Making a late night rambling post because I cant sleep

I've been thinking a lot about Pokemon, I love the franchise so much despite it's recent issues, and specifically I've been thinking about if I was a trainer what Pokemon would I have?

Now, this isn't just "what Pokemon would I want" no, my autistic brain has decided that I have to examine every major event, situation, and routine I've ever had to see what Pokemon I feasibly *could* encounter, and which ones I'd actually take with me.

Its been super fun, and the main reason I'm making this post is actually to ask anyone who follows me or sees this or whatever to put in the comments/reblogs/ask me with what Pokemon YOU think you'd have under these sorts of 'rules'

Now for brevity's sake I'm not counting the actual pets I actually have. Clearly my team would be 6 various cat pokemon with a backup team of 6 dog pokemon and a bunch of rapidash. Similarly, I've seen about 10 billion pigeons but I'm not putting a Pidgey on my team because as a Pokemon trainer I just wouldn't. That being said, these are my late night ramblings about my pokemon team

The first one, and the one that got me started on all of this: I have been super into emulation and roms basically as long as I can remember, so my starter HAS to be an illegally downloaded Porygon, especially as I get into old software outside of games.

Second is also very obvious. I tend to go thrift shopping for just about anything and everything, and my friends have made fun of me more than once for dumpster diving at the college campus during move out (hey, a free high quality desk is a free high quality desk) but specifically I have picked up more than one doll/plush from parking lots after I see them there for a couple days. So I definitely have a mimikyu.

Beyond this things get weird. I want to say I should have a combusken because I did show chickens for a long time which is kinda like gym battling and I played soccer for many years which a kicking based pokemon I think would fit well with. But it doesn't really match my 'no pets' rule. Since it's a loose rule I figure I can keep this one.

I want to expand, but I just don't think I would have caught many more. I at least can't think of any situation I would have been able to catch them in.

So, uh, yeah. Thanks for reading my rant I suppose.

I just added the Totodile Sitting Cutie the other day and I still need Feraligatr. Mimikyu came from my friend I've known for over 15yrs, Piplup and the sleepy Oshawott came from my friends, I won the giant Bulbasaur at the Oklahoma State Fair in 2017, and the shiny Zorua plush is my favorite baby rn.

I need to get a Quaxly plush, I like having plushies of my chosen starters (hence all the Oshawott and Sobble lol).

These are very basic picks but look I ADORE Roadhog top tier character he is SO cute. I gotta give him the cute pigs. He deserves it.

Also the Mimikyu is because I imagine in the Pokemon World he'd have a fondness for Pikachu, like how he loves Pachimari in canon, and ended up stealing it from somewhere thinking it was a Pikachu Plush. Also it goes with the fact that we never see his face.

hey hi Mimikyu is my favourite it's adorable and I love it and it's actually like really good in fights and ghost type is already my favourite type so, I have a plush mimikyu too that's like official and REALLY good quality!

and my favourite legendary is Lugia because it was one of the first pokemon I remember seeing in the anime.

also shout out to Bulbasaur my favourite gen 1 starter, folks used to be so mean to him.

More extremely specific rules in my PokeFEH AU world building:

What about all the other Mimikyus? The completely average Mimikyus with Nothing special about them? Who will NOT be Chosen Over the special, sparkly one? The Best One? The most Desirable One?

So Moe has a completely average non-shiny Mimikyu. Okay! 👍 One idea I played with though, is having Moe's handmade custom Mimikyu hoodie be the shiny version. LIKE THIS LITTEN CARD

You can SEE. Whoever lives here, ADORES LITTEN. They have two pet Littens. Neither of them shiny. Like beyond what I was saying previously, shinyness is SO RARE that it would take insane luck or Purpose to find one. This person seems to be an avid Litten enjoyer, but an otherwise completely normal person. So they have merch!!!! They have a little picture OF a shiny Litten!!! They even have an Incinaroar plush, which makes me imagine if they are an average person (not a serious trainer!) -- maybe they don't have the space or resources to care for a whole ass Incinaroar. But they still like it! So they have a plush of it!

So back to Moe, the Mimikyu it has, and its hoodie, the story goes: Moe loves the SHIT out of that fucking thang. Extremely fucking passionate about that thang, both the (un)living (un)breathing(?) Mimikyu that rides on its shoulder and The Concept of Mimikyu, the Pokemon. Fanboy behavior. Okay!!!!! NEXT!

GOAT MOTIF. In a world where I very quickly discovered ohhhhhhh Moe's whole religious angel/devil theming just does not translate At All in a world without Christianity*. Like, if it was born and raised In The World of Pokemon, NOT isekai'd. There is nothing to blaspheme. Okay 👍 So for Moe, who seems to have a proclivity for Ghost types, what business does it have with some fucking grass goat. A chance encounter! And an excuse to match Moe's outfit to shiny Gogoat's color pallette. In my mind, it fit better.... although, like I said earlier, I definitely hit a wall trying to figure out color pallettes........ 🥲💔

*LIKE YEAH we have Arceus as a creator god Pokemon who's even goat-like in design... but there's like. Not at all the same connotations I don't think... and Moe's whole deal is less about the religion itself, and more about how it was hurt by the flavor of it that it was brought up with. I DON'T WANNA INVENT RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY IN POKEMON WORLD............... this DOES beg the question of how the hell did Moe get here as it is today BUT. IT'S FINE I CAN WORK WITH THIS...... it's a creative exercise. And tbh given some of the evil teams we've had maybe there's something in there I could work with. Pokemon has planey off options for oddly specific doomsday cults... it's Fine.... and shitty family situations exist in Any universe ☺️💖

All that said, I may end up making the hoodie the regular pallette, who knows. I hit a wall. I overthunk it. I died. Badly. I still like the Gogoat idea though.
