Both are emotionally constipated fools; Ajaw pining like a lovesick idiot because he's supposed to hate his companion and want him dead but when that day of death finally comes, Ajaw feels no joy or happiness: just empty as he looks himself in the mirror, touching his face, or, well, Kinich's face.

oronich (idk the ship name, but also it exists lol) is two characters who are seen somewhat as outsiders by their own tribes: Kinich, while loved by most of the children, has a negative reputation for his job while Ororon is seen as a problem child and cast out of society. The two ostracised characters coming together in a doomed "we're kinda similar, aren't we?" Eddie Munson and Chrissy Cunningham style (from stranger things, sorry chat) and forming an unexpected yet wholesome and definitely welcome bond with each other (they'd tend to their garden together).

lynich (a rarepair!! a popular rarepair is a miracle honestly) is two traumatized boys, the flirt and the flustered. One who speaks the truth outright, and one who's every word is a lie. One who thinks everything comes at a price, and one who thinks everything is a trick. When Lyney tells Kinich about his connections with the Fatui, Kinich isn't mad, surprised, but not mad. How could he be? When he knows why Lyney joined? He accepts him with open arms, Weighing the costs, befriending a member of the Fatui would most likely leave him out of their shadier affairs since Lyney would never harm him, right? Right. Even when Lyney succeeds Arlecchino, Even when he becomes a harbinger, even after everything: they're together, despite all the complications there are.

Went with a diamond cuz of the status thing. I am almost worried it feels like too easy of a pull but I doonnn't care I think it'd be fun if she was a diamond. :) Red obviously because it's her color.

Playing off the status thing; ofc her parents would also be diamonds and so you can have the reasoning of "oh this isn't a high-rank gem" for them not liking Boyf. I mean if you need any reasoning aside from them just being unreasonable LOL but that's always there.

Placement on her chest because !! love !!!! That's also why it's a heart-shaped cut instead of a. Diamond shape.

My backup assignment for her would be a jasper because I think it'd suit her well to be any quartz, and with jasper you can get close to her reds !! The status thing is really what made me decide on a diamond tho.

As I type this I realize there are some vaaaguee similarities to Pink I could pull as extra reasoning but shruuuugs my brain is NOT in an analytical mood rn so I'll just let others chew on that for me.

This isn't really relevant to RGB but I wanna mention it: I think it'd be funny if the demon henchmen were rubies.

BOYFRIEND:

The biggest factor for me going peridot with him is the fact that a common headcanon for canon Peridot is that she's autistic and while I mostly work with ADHD Boyf myself (since that's the experience I can pull from personally)... I am a sucker for a good autistic/AuDHD read with him.

This man is short and Era 2 peridots are short. If I drew him SU style this guy would need limb enhancers. lol

Instead of a prohibition symbol his shirt has the outline of a star. I just find that neat. :)

Honestly, I put his gem placement on the back of his hand bc I had no clue where else to put it. My secondary placement for it would be on his forehead bc it'd make me giggle with him being Dumb but canon Peridot already has the forehead placement so I didn't go ahead with that.

This is my little indulgent one I really. I really love canon Spinel. This is tangential but like I literally have 4 spinel OCs and then another 4 furry OCs with designs based on canon Spinel. The urge to make One Of Them a spinel was going to be there.

The juxtaposition of him being a gem with an entertainer role and also a hard-ass hitman makes me giggle. Idk I feel like if you already know canon Spinel then you can probably connect the dots as to why I'd imagine him as a spinel as well.

Heart cut because I find it cute and it matches GF. I think a spade shape could be fun too but idk I prefer just going with a heart. Placement on his upper back because. :) Because he can't easily shield it from damage that way. He has to be constantly aware of his surroundings, unless he wants to give someone the chance for an easy hit on him if they sneak up from behind. Little paranoia thing to fuck with him. Jun's parents are actually Eikichi's biggest supporters and Eikichi's parents approve of Jun because of his grades. They sleep over at each other's places often.

KatsuMaya

Everyone's (love) gurus! Almost everyone asks them for advice and by them I mean Maya. Katsuya is also honestly as confused as everyone else but he's always down to help! He may get aggressive when it comes to Tatsuya though....

Maya is also there as the queer dictionary as she is bi. If you're questioning your sexuality, come see Maya-neesan! But only when she's at the Suou's house because her room probably has an undiscovered virus in there somewhere....

Jun and Lisa

They are the closest friends! Lisa's lesbian closet is so closed, she's not even aware she's in a closet. She recently got over Tatsuya and is very supportive of Jun. Jun is trying to help Lisa realize her sexuality but she's still trapped by the comphet. Maybe one day....

Tatsuya and Eikichi

They are rivals in almost everything but most importantly, Jun's attention! Eikichi is straight but he's Jun's best friend first before Tatsuya was even thinking about dating Jun! They get into silly competitions but it's mostly Eikichi competing (Jun fans the flames cause he thinks it's funny).

They're very close and the whole rivalry thing is a bit. Tatsuya gives Miyabi a ride on his bike when Eikichi isn't around to send her home.

Headcanons for Domestic Fowlham (at the Park)

Randy is the one who would invite Theresa to the park. For what it's worth, he knows his role as the Ninja takes up a lot of his time and he wants to make it up to her

I don't see Theresa as a coffee drinker, but she does enjoy hot chocolate and you know Randy would buy some for her

Honestly, the way I see it: they decided to take an evening stroll during the weekend. Things have been settling; McFist and Viceroy have started leaving the Ninja alone and Randy takes it as his chance to spend time with his girlfriend

Randy's crush on Theresa didn't fully start until sometime after he rescued her. He'd get incredibly flustered, but this seemed to happen with both boys and girls- (it was his first bi awakening, but he's completely smitten for Theresa right now)

Theresa would likely provide snacks and just talk for a little while about the stars in the sky; she seems to be really interested in constellations, something which Randy gets enthralled by whenever she talks about it

They're enjoying the silence- Theresa wants to voice her deeper thoughts - how she wants to have a life with Randy, but she feels as if the words are stuck even as she attempts to voice it- (she used to have a small crush on Debbie, though Randy's a sweet kid- although Theresa has two hands-)

In the end, Randy is the one who breaks the silence- he confesses, deciding he can't just not tell Theresa how he feels. He can't help but wonder about their future and he begins talking about the place he'd want to live in with her

Theresa is taken by surprise but she hangs on to his every word- her cheeks are heated in a blush and she finally chuckles, "do you really mean that?"

They're not old enough to be married yet, but Randy holds out a promise/couple's ring for Theresa; he's smiling brightly, "I couldn't imagine a life without you-"

meet my (canon x OC) ship — jade and diane aka his girlfriend that he found in the trash🌲🚁

pictured: jade talks about the symbols while diane wonders what is wrong with him worries for his mental state

🌎 how they met: jade finds diane the morning after her helicopter got trapped and was forced to land in a clear in the woods during the night. severely sick and delirious from having spent most of the night in the lake to escape the nightmare creatures, she believes that jade, marielle and kristi have kidnapped her which makes her very difficult to help. jade has a strong interest in making sure that she recovers for the valuable information that she can provide, so he puts in a lot of effort into nursing her back to health and becomes extremely attached along the way <3

👀 who fell first: jade definitely became attached first because of the emotional investment that he had in her recovery, and dianne quickly followed as soon as she started feeling better. but they only started romantically liking each other after they got the opportunity to hang out in "normal" circumstances once diane was out of the clinic. she was listening to him talk about his science theories one day and thought 'oh wait, i don't just trauma-like this guy, i actually really really like-like this guy...!'

💚 how do they make each other feel: basically? safe. diane is a naturally closed-off person but jade is honest and open enough to make her feel safe to do the same. meanwhile, jade deeply appreciates the way diane is always quietly watching out for his mental state

⚘ one thing they like about the other: diane collects every single peak autism jade moment in her heart like they're very cool rocks that she found, and jade can't get over how cute she is when she smiles and how hot it is that she can do badass flying kicks

💫 one fun moment they had: diane didn't have any of her own clothes with her save for her pilot gear, so jade takes her to the storage room and tells her to pick what she wants to wear. diane flashes a lil playful smile and tells him to pick what he wants her to wear. he passes on the chance to be horny about it and just starts picking the worst possible outfits he can find for her to try on, and she has the time of her life trying them on for him to rate how well she managed to pull them off. she manages to convince him to try on a few of her own picks too. jim walks in on them and jade throws him a fancy shirt for him to try on but tragically he's anti-fun and his wife has been missing for two weeks but that's clearly irrelevant here /jk

🍂 one angsty moment they had: jade basically ended up investing his last thread of sanity into helping diane recover so when she takes a turn for the worse and it looks like she might not make it after all, kristi and marielle start worrying for jade's mental state if the worst ends up happening. diane tries to draw some diagrams for him so he can know how to repurpose the instruments from her helicopter and read the data she gathered about the terrain but he wants to hear none of it and just tells her to save her strength

#10 (Why did you choose your title?)

The original title of the book when I first started thinking about it some uh. Five years ago? Was “Immortal Stone & Tile, Inc.” At that point, the main concept for the book was “supervillain quits his job and travels across the country to start a new life as a stone and tile salesman.” A lot of my story ideas came from shows like the Office and Crazy Ex Girlfriend at that point, with a lot of focus on workplace shenanigans, so I based the title off of that. But after I wrote (and rewrote!) the book, it became more and more obvious that the workplace stuff was a distraction from the actual things I wanted to write about. So in this version, returning to the idea after a couple years, I decided to make the title The Diamond Devil Is Dead! because I wanted to capture a couple main ideas: first, the pulpy superheroism element. Second, the main idea of Nathaniel’s death, which is central to what I wanted to explore with the book in the first place. Third, the the exclamation, which for me feels kind of Wicked-esque (the wicked witch is dead!) in a way that’s fun.

#11 (General synopsis of the plot/world/characters):

Quick synopsis: Career criminal turned costumed supervillain Nathaniel Syler dies to save his dearest enemy. Then he wakes up. He has a midlife crisis and moves across the country to try to become something new. But he brought with him the thing he hates most—himself. In the end, he has to confront his own mistakes and his relationship with his mother, all while falling in gay love and growing up.

For a more in depth, autistic explanation (lol)—the book is essentially a middle aged supervillain’s Bildungsroman. It’s set in a retrofuturistic, glitz-glam urban world, with a startling divide between the beauty and wealth of the city and the homelessness, crime and poverty within it. Nathaniel is fully immersed in a world of violence. Everyone he meets in his journey is a commentary on that. The Boulder, Nathaniel’s rival, is a Golden Age style superhero who believes strongly in the criminal-cop, villain-hero dichotomy that reinforces her moral high ground and Nathaniel’s self-hatred. But she loves Nathaniel, and makes a massive sacrifice in order to bring him back from the dead. Amelia Sung is the Boulder’s abandoned older sister. She’s a car mechanic who loves puzzles, and is resigned to ignoring the chaos and destruction around her. She exists on the outside of the world of heroes and villains, and—after some understandable initial skepticism—sees Nathaniel as a person for the first time in his life. Nathaniel’s love interest, Stephen, was raised by a cult as a child assassin. He’s the perfect villain Nathaniel was never able to be. Nathaniel falls in love with his skill. But Stephen is also the only person Nathaniel is able to speak with candidly about the “mouse trap” of supervillainy and the hero world. Stephen isn’t headed for redemption or trying to be better, he’s just surviving. Nathaniel loves him anyway.

The last, arguably most important character in this world is Bandit, Nathaniel’s dog. He’s a mean guard dog chained up by his owner at all times of the day—Nathaniel passes him daily on his way to work. Over time, he befriends Bandit and finally steals him. Bandit loves two things: violence, and Nathaniel. He and Nathaniel have a deeply affectionate, codependent dynamic that is so full of love, but also reminiscent of Nathaniel’s own relationship with his mother.

And then, of course, there’s Nathaniel himself. Nathaniel is a deeply childish man, stubborn and manipulative, painfully empathetic. He loves sharks. He watches the Golden Girls. Love, for him, exists in the small bubble of his shitty apartment with his mom. He has a lot of high-flung ideals about the world, which he mostly translates into putting people on pedestals and hating himself. Outside of his bubble, he communicates in superhero cliches. His entire language is based on the script of a queer villain in a world that kills queer villains. As the book goes on, he learns how to drive and decorate his own apartment with things he loves. He’s still mostly the same, but his language expands, and he’s more thoughtful and grounded. He becomes a participant in the real world.

alright so I know literally no one cares about this but it’s my social media I’m doing what I want /lh

I’ve been seeing a lot of slander about justin russo on the internet lately and I’m currently hyperfixated on wizards of waverly place so here’s why justin is an awesome character/doesn’t deserve the hate he gets

He’s kind and treats those he loves well. Justin is canonically really good at comforting people. Although he argues with Alex a lot, at the end of the day, he’s also her older brother and genuinely cares about her. When Professor Crumbs threatens to take Alex’s magic away because she doesn’t turn her report card in, Justin says that Crumbs will also have to take his magic away. Justin is ultimately selfless. We see again and again the sacrifices he makes for Alex and I think we mainly see his kindness in that relationship. Despite that, I think he’s also notably kind to Juliet. When he finds out that he made the mistake of reporting Juliet and her parents, he instantly tries to fix it. Not only does he try to fix it, but he puts his job as Monster Hunter in jeopardy for Juliet and her parents - her parents haven’t even been that nice to him. Justin is ultimately selfless and at the end of the day, he sacrifices himself or what he wants for others. When Rosie turns back into a good angel, instead of selfishly continuing to date her and keeping her in the mortal world (which he could have done - she literally offers to stay with him), he gives her up because he realizes the world needs a guardian angel more than he needs a girlfriend. Even though it hurts because he loved her, he gives her up. There’s no “award” for doing this - he won’t move up a level in the wizard competition, he really won’t get any recognition for giving Rosie up. He doesn’t even get any recognition for turning the moral compass back to good. He does it because it’s the right thing to do. Although later I’ll argue that Justin is constantly seeking validation, I also think that the heroic/good things he does are often done with no expectation of being praised for it. He does them because he has a strong sense of morals. He’s also kind to Harper, Zeke, his parents, and even Max, who people rarely ever show kindness to in the show.

He’s in touch with his emotions. When the show starts, Justin is very against anything that will show him as feminine or emotional. In fact, he even says he’s allergic to emotions (or something like that) to cover for the fact that he’s crying over his missing dog. As the show goes on, we see Justin start to embrace and accept his emotions more and to lose touch with his toxic masculinity. I think dating Juliet changed him in a lot of ways (making him more relaxed, etc), and I think one was encouraging him to be more emotional. After Wizards vs. Vampires, Justin is pretty emotional and open about his emotions in the show. He’s even open with talking about them. In the movie, he opens up to Alex about how he feels like Jerry & Theresa wouldn’t love him as much if he were less “perfect,” which brings me to my next point.

At the end of the day, Justin is a sad character. I know it’s a kid’s show but they really do cover a lot of issues so bear w me. I’m hyperfixated and I like to over analyze shows so I’ve thought about this a lot. Justin is the oldest, which means he already deals with pressure to be perfect. Then, add in the fact that his parents are constantly describing him as the “perfect child” and putting him on a pedestal, while pitting the kids against each other as a result of the wizard culture bc of the family competition (I love Jerry & Theresa but they’re not perfect). He’s also a high achiever and we know he puts extreme pressure on himself to do well - they always make a joke about it but it’s actually quite sad. He literally feels poorly about himself when he gets a B and bases his entire self worth on his grades and skills as a wizard. In fact, in the movie he voices doubt about whether or not he’s good at anything other than magic. I have a few things I want to say about all of this. First of all, I think Justin is constantly seeking validation. I think as the oldest and “best” child, he feels the need to be perfect all the time, but he also does many of the things he does because he just wants validation. When Harper decides to run a marathon, Justin does too, and sadly his accomplishment of finishing it is overshadowed by Harper “winning.” I also think Justin feels threatened by the success of others because he thinks it invalidates his. When he opens up to Alex in the movie, he says that he’s jealous of her because it seems like everything comes naturally to her. Justin feels as if his parents loving his siblings takes away from their love from his. It’s irrational, but very real. Which brings me to my next point - Justin has generalized anxiety disorder. It makes sense - the overthinking, the outbursts he has (Alex refers to it as a conniption once) of panic or frustration, the overachieving, etc. As someone who probably has autism, I also think he’s autistic (which would explain his troubles with tone, struggle making friends, obsessions with things like Captain Jim Bob Sherwood and science, being better w robots than people, and so much more).

Ultimately, Justin has a strong moral backbone. Although he’s a stickler for the rules and this oftentimes leads him to do bad things initially, he always does the right thing in the end. For example, when Justin and Alex go to court and Justin duplicates himself to be his lawyer, his lawyer ultimately proves that Justin is guilty; he even says something along the lines of “We’re Justin Russo. We always do what’s moral and just.” Justin has a strong sense of justice (which could also be from being autistic but I could do a whole other post about neurodivergency coding in WOWP and Disney & Nick shows overall bc there’s a ton of coding) and does what he thinks is right, most of the time. Sure, sometimes he does bad things, but he’s also a teenager at the end of the day and he’s highly competitive.

Finally, Justin Russo is super progressive - in fact, he’s probably the most progressive characters of the show. He acknowledges climate change and actively tries to create a solution for it. In fact, for his science fair project he makes a water powered engine, which would reduce carbon emissions. He also wears a shirt at one point that says “Make art not war.” I will admit that his biases against the werewolf he dated were problematic, but he clearly grew from that because he never held any of that against Mason. He’s also into science and is a nerd and although this is a stereotype, most young people who are into science and are nerds are progressive. I’m pretty sure he also is well aware of current events and would probably read the newspaper. Also I myself headcanon Justin as trans and bi (again could make another post about characters in wowp that are queer)

Ranking the DCLA WLW ships

Many people prefer canon, and I get that. But there's one thing that non-canon ships give me and that is the comfort that they are exactly what they are. Especially the WLW ships. I never assume they will be canon, but I can love them all I want either way <3

I will not take every single dcla wlw ship, cause with all the girl characters there's so many combinations you can do. I will only take the ones I've seen, or recognized myself.

1. Franletta

Obviously. How can I not? I've not been crowned the biggest Franletta shipper in the fandom for nothing! They give me the softness no one else does. The way they always depend on each other, the way they care for each other SO MUCH <33 GAH they're adorable

2. Jam

I'm taking my two biggest from each show here. When I started watching SL, everyone expected me to just like the three biggest ships. NO ONE told me about Jim and Yam. HOW COULD YOU NOT tell me about Jim and Yam?! Smh you're sleeping on them (/hj, /lh)

But yeah, I think a part of what drove me with loving them so much was that no one else talked about them. Yes, people agreed they were girlfriends, but no one was as vocal. I am currently also the only one who even has written fics with them tagged romantically - something I did after I discovered after finishing season 1, I was really surprised how no one had written about them? So I took it in my own hands and wrote some.

Jam are my little chaos children, they're jin and yang and they're everything to me.

3. Luty

The year was 2021 and I had been starting to rewatch Violetta after getting D+. With my newly love for Franletta, I also thought about the others. I thought to myself "Hey! Maybe Naty stays with Ludmila, not because she's afraid to say no, but because she actually likes her? Maybe she even has a crush on her?"

Cut to when I rewatched S3, which had not been out until april of 2021 in the Nordic countries. I just. Fell for them. OH how I fell for them.

They make me insane honestly.

4. Natila

In season 3, something I really noticed was that the REAL love triangle was between Naty, Camila and Ludmila. And Naty and Camila DATED. They DATED in s3. OH MY GOD HOW THEY DATED. THEY FUCKING KISSED OFF SCREEN!!!!!!!!!! LIKE I AM STILL MIND BLOWN OVER THAT. WHEN I SAW IT I JUST WENT INSANE.

5. Ambilia

THE GOTH GIRLFRIENDS honestly they're everything. They're insane. It's them against the world. They'll go from the ashes and into the fire. They're a power couple.

6. Lumbar

"But but but but-" I hear you go. Yes, yes, yes, I know. These two gave a fucking crisis in s3. But I fell for them SO HARD in season 1 it was a wound that never got away. Season 1 FED me with them, S2 also fed me a lot, and then in season 3 I just went around with a "🥲". At least, they ended up being very close in one way <3

7. Cadmila

Love the enemies to lovers. I don't feel as strongly about them as the other two in the "unholy trinity", I sometimes feel like Cadmila is the female version of Dieleon (but not with everything). But it's also how Ludmila just plays with Cami's hair, always sits close to her and how Camila is like "get tf away from me" but highkey interested in what Ludmila is doing.

8. Mora/Ana

They moved in together?? This was a whole storyline and tbh I am fully convinced the writers actually wanted them to be a couple, it's not just my imagination.

9. Jadangie

Alright, you made me fall for them! Thanks, tumblr! <3 They're very cute.

10. Jackie/Angie

They would never date in canon but GOD are they exes. They're bickering exes, look at them. First episode of s2, you can't deny they've met before and something went down and now they pretend they don't know each other. The ANGST.

11. Celeste/Trish

When watching Bia, I was like "I really feel a straight vibe from every character" and all of you, and I mean ALL OF YOU, went "But what about Celeste?". I was confused because I was at the ep where Celeste told her therapist that she had a crush on a boy so I was like ???????????????????

But then the SECOND I saw s2, I had a 180 spin and went "OH OK SHE'S A LESBIAN" and her obsession with Trish was really like. !!!!!!! WOW. And when she met Trish irl and just scratched her neck I just. Yeah. Yeah I got it.

12. Lunina

Ok, I really do like them as just friends, but if they were more I also wouldn't complain. I just like to joke a little about them, but I am not as serious about it as I am with ships above on the list.

13. Jazmin/Delfi

Every now and then I think to myself "they should kiss" lmao.

14. Francesca/Ana

Most random thing. I got this because I felt like Ana legit tried to seduce Fran for a while. Like that Ser Mejor duet????? What

I don't think they have a lot of chemistry, but I get it. Also Violetta totally got a bi awakening from seeing Lara sing like I-

I really get it. I really get after I myself fell for Lumbar. Like, you have 2 seasons of freedom. It's hard to just... stop?? After that? Also Si es por amor is the gayest music video in Violetta, it's just how it is. But I've personally never shipped them. I love their canon relationship.

17. Jim/Luna

This is the one wlw ship where I don't really get it. But I've seen it around. And during my SL rewatch I've tried to see it, but I don't see much. I think it's whenever they're alone together they sort of have a matching vibe and that's what appeals to people? I don't know.

I know for a fact I've probably forgot someone, but that's how it always is. I actually almost forgot some here and had to re-rank my list. There's still plenty of wlw ships <3

Summary: After a long date night with her girlfriend, Kumiho gets kidnapped by a mysterious group of cookies. Cherry Blossom eventually discovers what happened and gives those cookies exactly what they deserve for messing with her beloved girlfriend.

A/N: Hey everyone! Give it up for my first Cookie Run fic ever woohoo!

So um, yeah, I wrote exactly what was requested and didn’t stretch much further than that, sorry :’) I gave the kidnappers literally no motives or anything lmao and there’s a lot of plotholes in here but just roll with it ok /lh—I tried to make the fic lighthearted and humorous to make up for that though.

Also, just for the record, the “yellow-haired cookie” that Cherry Blossom mentions here isn’t supposed to be a canon character. None of the kidnappers are, actually. I just made them all up.

“Hehe! See you later—I love you~” Kumiho called to her girlfriend as she waved goodbye to her, exiting the taxi that had pulled up in front of her small home. She and Cherry Blossom had just finished a fabulous date night, at a quaint though gorgeous restaurant. The two of them had stayed out much longer than intended, as it was nearing midnight by the time the taxi had pulled into her driveway. The streets were pitch black and there were no sounds save for some noisy, nocturnal animals.

Though it had been fun—and truthfully, the best date they’d had in a while—Kumiho was dead tired and she only let it show when she heard the taxi wheels completely pull away and the bright lights were no longer visible. She stumbled to her door and fumbled with the keys, her eyes already half-closing. She carelessly trekked directly to her bedroom, threw her purse on a tall red velvet chair, and sank into her bed, dress and all still on.

So…sleepy… Kumiho purred quietly to herself, shapeshifting into her fox form for maximum comfort. She fell asleep as soon as her eyes fluttered shut, expecting an excellent, long sleep. However, unbeknownst to her, there were other cookies who had different plans…

Kumiho stirred awake at some point in the middle of the night at a source that was unknown to her (at that moment, at least). However, it took her close to a split second to realize that she was being carried somewhere, by a masked cookie and what seemed like two accomplices, all dressed in blacks and grays. She woke up fully in an instant and panic set it; her eyes shot open and she began to scream, only to have her mouth clamped shut by a cold, gloved hand. “Be quiet!” the masculine voice snarled; they lifted their head to nod at someone, who Kumiho couldn’t see due to the way she was being held, in a way that restricted her neck from moving.

The blue-haired cookie’s heart was pounding, but a little bit of logic began to set in simultaneously. She deduced that she must’ve forgotten to lock her damn doors and windows last night, in her exhausted state. She mentally berated herself as the masked cookies continued to talk amongst each other and carry her. Thinking about last night soon made her think about Cherry Blossom and once again, her adrenaline raced. Oh no…she’s going to be devastated once she finds out about this! Kumiho thought. How was Cherry Blossom even going to find out what had happened? Oh God, she hoped her girlfriend wouldn’t assume the worst. She hoped the worst wouldn’t happen. What was even their motive for doing this to her? Kumiho began to hyperventilate, but then quickly thought that that probably wasn’t a good idea and tried taking slow, deep breaths instead. It didn’t help very much.

Soon she felt the cold air on her dough and realized they’d taken her outside. She didn’t have many neighbors, and the ones she did have all were indeed sleeping. Plus, Kumiho had to give it to these cookies, they were stealthy and quiet. Her mind didn’t drift from Cherry Blossom once as the kidnappers continued to carry her to somewhere strange.

Good morning, my dearest! Did you sleep well? I hope you feel a little better from last night <3

Cherry Blossom hit the ‘send’ button on that text, putting her fork down as she did so (her and her little sister, Cherry, had just gotten done eating a breakfast of waffles). Confident that her lover would answer her soon, she set the phone back down with a smile and polished off the last of her orange juice. Afterward, she took both her and Cherry’s dirty dishes and placed them in the sink to wash later.

She didn’t hear a buzz from her phone yet, but Cherry Blossom didn’t think much of it. Kumiho might’ve still been sleeping. The pink-haired cookie went about her merry morning, still subtly waiting for a text back.

However, even as the afternoon dawned closer and closer she still didn’t receive a text back. At around noon, she decided to send another one:

Are you alright? I’m getting a bit worried.

After just a few minutes of still no reply, Cherry Blossom got too anxious and called Kumiho. No answer. She took a deep breath and tried calling again. Still no answer. Her stomach a little in knots, she tried to reason the situation out with logic. It was a very long night. Plus she likes to oversleep sometimes. I’m sure she’ll answer me very shortly.

Cherry Blossom gradually grew more scared as the minutes—and hours—began to pass by. By two o’clock she thought she was going to faint with worry. At this point, she was pacing around her living room, her finger on her chin, eyebrows scrunched together. Cherry was playing with a toy car set on the rug, glancing up at her sister every so often with concern in her own eyes. “What’s wrong, Cherry Blossom?” she asked, her voice uncharacteristically soft.

Cherry Blossom continued to pace, throwing her hand up in the air in an exasperated way. “I’ve tried calling and texting Kumiho dozens of times and she still hasn’t replied,” she replied, voice cracking. “I’m really worried.”

Cherry fully stopped her play and instead sat with her legs crossed, fiddling with one of her toy cars. Cherry Blossom paced around for a few more seconds before she couldn’t take it anymore. “That’s it! Something has to be wrong with Kumiho. She just does not sleep in this long. Never.” She paused, looking down at Cherry. “Something has to be wrong,” she repeated.

“Are you going to call Detective Almond?” Cherry asked.

“...No. I don’t think that will be necessary,” Cherry Blossom said slowly. What she had planned, if her suspicions as to what happened with Kumiho were correct, was not something she needed a detective to know about, that was for sure.

Cherry immediately knew what her sister was implying and smirked, her own devilish nature quickly showing through. “If anybody decided to mess with Kumiho, I hope you kick their butts!” she exclaimed.

Cherry Blossom matched her sister’s smirk. “Oh, I will. They’ll shake in fear the next time they even see my face.” Cherry giggled at this. “Cherry, would you be okay with staying at Miss Latte’s for a little while?” She was always Cherry Blossom’s go-to option when she needed a babysitter for Cherry. Walnut stayed at Latte’s house quite a lot while her father was at work, and Cream Puff was also a frequent visitor to the professor’s home; plus, there were usually other little kids that came in and out of the house, so Cherry usually always had other children to play with over there. In addition, Latte was as sweet as anything and was very trustworthy.

Her little sister enthusiastically nodded her approval of this, and Cherry Blossom’s decision had been made. “Come on, dearie, get your coat and shoes on. I have a mission I need to complete.”

After dropping Cherry off at Latte’s, Cherry Blossom headed straight over to Kumiho’s house to see if she was there first. After pulling into her driveway, Cherry Blossom raced out of her car and went to go knock on the door, hard. “Kumiho?” There was no reply, nor any noise, coming from the other end. “Kumiho? It’s me, Cherry Blossom.” No different results were yielded. Cherry Blossom let out a noise that was somewhere between a whimper and a sigh. She yanked the doorknob, and her heart sank further when it was revealed that the door was unlocked. Oh no…

Cherry Blossom slowly walked into her girlfriend’s home, searching literally every corner, like a cat sneaking around for its prey, to possibly find clues that could tell what happened to Kumiho.

Kumiho’s bedroom by far gave off the most hints out of any room in the house. Her lamp was knocked down and appeared to be broken. The covers on her bed absolutely destroyed; one pillow was on the foot of the bed, while the other was on the floor. Cherry Blossom covered her hands over her mouth and gasped, then exerted a small shriek. “Oh no!” she hushed. “Something horrible happened here!” She frantically began searching the entire bedroom in more detail, looking for any clues.

Eventually, she found something: a few strands of hair, just across from Kumiho’s nightstand where the lamp had been. Cherry Blossom delicately picked up the strands of hair.

Bright yellow hair, practically the color of lemonade. Definitely not the same color as Kumiho’s. Which meant, someone had to have been in the house with her sometime between last night and today. Cherry Blossom started to pace back and forth; she began to piece together the possibilities. The worst had to have happened. She just had a gut feeling about it. But…who could have done something bad to Kumiho? Cherry Blossom knew many yellow-haired cookies, a lot of whom couldn’t have possibly been the suspects—ruling them out either by common logic or, just personality-wise, it was very hard to accuse them of such a thing.

Another thing to consider: what if this certain cookie had had accomplices? Judging by the room, Kumiho had struggled quite hard to free herself. (That was most likely the reason the strands of hair had been on the floor in the first place, Cherry Blossom deduced.) Kumiho was stronger than she looked; Cherry Blossom knew she would’ve been able to, at least, injure just one cookie, even a particularly big one. But an entire gang of thugs? That very well could’ve been a different story.

There was one possible thing to do, Cherry Blossom knew that: she had to search around everywhere to see if she could find her girlfriend. Literally everywhere—intensely questioning every single yellow-haired cookie she could possibly think of couldn’t do.

She tucked the strands of hair into her tiny purse as if they were a bottle of lipstick; she closed the zipper tightly and patted the purse, swinging it more comfortably over her shoulder.

Task number one completed—now time to finish this mission and find her beloved girlfriend. At least, hopefully, she’d find her.

So, Cherry Blossom went through the entire town in an attempt to find her beloved girlfriend. She went into shops, stores, and restaurants, as well as asked some cookies to see if they possibly had any info or had seen Kumiho—nothing.

She eventually found herself stepping into some obscure woods near the border of the town. It was nearing nighttime by the time she got there, which gave her even more chills.

Cherry Blossom put her hands near her neck and face and let out some choked sobs. She felt helpless, depleted at this point. She had looked literally everywhere in town at this point, and if she didn’t find Kumiho here, then she was really in a very desperate situation. “Kumiho,” she tried to call out, loudly, but her voice just came out small and cracked. “I’m…I’m really starting to get freaked out. Please be okay.”

As if someone had heard her (though there was no way that was possible, due to Cherry Blossom’s voice being so quiet), a scream crept up from the distance. Cherry Blossom’s eyes immediately shot open and she put her hands down; she sprang into action and began to run toward where she thought she’d heard the noise.

Cherry Blossom almost stumbled over rocks and branches at multiple points, but she still persisted—what if that was Kumiho screaming? “Don’t worry!” she shouted. “I’m coming!”

She soon came to a small, wooden cabin, colored a dark gray and slanted slightly backward. It, quite literally, looked like it could topple over at any moment. Cherry Blossom stared at it for a moment; she huffed, loudly, taking in a huge breath of air to brace herself for what could possibly be in there—even the worst. Then, she ran toward it and swung open the creaking door.

Behind the door, she saw her beloved, tied to a chair, with three cookies in black ski masks, and gray outfits. “Cherry Blossom!” Kumiho cried out in glee when she saw her girlfriend’s face.

“Be quiet!” one of the kidnappers immediately snapped back after hearing Kumiho say this.

Cherry Blossom’s face completely changed after hearing the cookie say that—she narrowed her pink eyes and a sneer grew on her mouth. “Now, who do you think you are talking to my Kumiho like that?” Before the cookie could answer, she stomped up to him and began hitting him, with as much force as she could—and it was a lot, especially considering her appearance. She didn’t look that strong, that was for sure. And, she used both her fists and the makeshift weapons on her, such as her purse.

The other cookie criminals, naturally, ran up to defend the cookie that’d first been attacked, but Cherry Blossom swiftly got them as well. Eventually, she had them broken down enough that they were all on the floor. One was coughing vigorously, and another just moaned. The third one had even been knocked out. (It was probably due to Cherry Blossom slamming her purse directly against his head—what could she say? That’d been a good blow.)

As soon as she was done with them, Cherry Blossom immediately rushed over to untie Kumiho, who lept into her arms at once, turning into her fox form. “Cherry Blossom! You found me!” she cried out. She turned back into a cookie and looked at the cookies on the floor, cupping her hand over her mouth. “Oh my goodness! You really did a number on them.”

Cherry Blossom put her hands on her hips and tilted her head a little. “I did. Anything for you, my darling,” she said in a sweet, syrupy voice, a total contrast from the screaming she’d done while brawling with those three cookies.

“I was so scared, too…” Kumiho said. She smiled, slowly, and held onto Cherry Blossom’s hands. “Thank you. I don’t know what they would’ve done to me if you didn’t come.”

“It’s no problem at all, my darling,” Cherry Blossom replied. Her voice dropped a few pitches then. “I will make sure nothing bad happens to you. At all.”

Kumiho smiled. She loved her girlfriend and all her complexities. Including…this one. She was glad to be safe again.

The two women walked out of that cabin, arm in arm—as if they’d just gotten done looking at a flower garden—with the three kidnappers still lying there, depleted.

“Hey, how about we go grab some lunch. I am just starving!” Kumiho suggested merrily.

Cherry Blossom giggled. “Same! But…it’s past dinnertime, not lunchtime! But still, we can of course go!” She bonked Kumiho’s nose with her finger—one of her favorite things to do. As always, Kumiho did her little nose scrunch and her signature giggle.

And, just like that, no one knew of the incident besides Cherry Blossom and Kumiho (and those three kidnapping cookies, of course). The pair wanted it to remain that way.
