Spring Break Recap - with pictures :)

the day we got off my friends and I went out to town and went to the beach. (so so grateful for where I live)

my (not so baby anymore) cousin visited from Switzerland! we did so many things since this is the first time she had come to Scotland, she is such a bookworm so me and my dad bought her some books from Waterstones. Love her sm :)

Wrote a letter to my school teacher about joining an abroad programme. I really hope I get in as I honestly believe it would be life changing. this was a draft dw! didn't look this scruffy on the final one :P

Cat shelter volunteering (I didn't get any photos of the shelter as I felt that would be inappropriate) this was on the way back though and I thought It looked magical. forever grateful for the scenery around me.

Played around with my new keyboard. It's a Casio and I love it sm, it was gutted by my uncle and auntie from Switzerland. I partially learned Chemtrails Over The Country Club by Lana Del Rey.

My friends birthday party!!! we did pottery painting and I got to paint a highland cow :D got ice cream (yum) and went to the park after.

Started reading the Bhagavad Gita. For those who are not aware, the Bhagavad Gita is a Hindu epic scripture that is part of a larger collection of works known as the Mahabharata. The Mahabharata is a Sanskrit epic consisting of over 100,000 shloka (a form of long prose passage) fully forming in to about 1,800,000 (1.8 mil) words and is approximately ten times the length of the Iliad and the Odyssey combined. The length explains why most only read smaller portions such as the Bhagavad Gita which is in fact a poem! ok I could talk about this forever but I hope that someone learned something new from my spiel :P.

Other stuff I did

-Reorganised my note taking and filing system (I could make a whole post about that)

-looked through all my subject specifications to get a feel of how many topics were are (and sub topics... and sub sub topics :,) )

-painted a mini canvas for my friend (dw that wasn't the only thing I got for her birthday)

1: PIRATE FM!!!!

i'm not even joking, johnny off pirate fm raised me. and their little segments, omg! i'm so good at where are we to it's not even real, and daytime in the duchy is the best programme ever. and before you ask, pirate's been bred into me. so much that ik their hotline number. 01209313900 just in case you were wondering. and you can get a pirate windscreen sticker. genius.

about that ILA episode - yeah, there’s a lot of factors that result in a lower rating. dy’s part of the episode aired second, after the first part where one of the panelists was hanging out with a photographer. i enjoyed it but there are lots of comments on yt under clips from that part that it’s boring, unimaginative, criticizing the panelist, etc., so this might have turned people off from watching the show. secondly, male idols aren’t interesting to the gp. there were comments that want to see more famous or interesting celebs than some sm idol. tbh, as i was watching dy’s part i had wondered if this would even be interesting to non-fans, lol.

dy episode clips have all surpassed the clips from the part with the panelist, they have more views, likes comments. dy’s kind act also trended on k-forums and on twitter and he has real life influence on the restaurant he went to - business will go up as fans will want to visit as well. i wouldn’t worry about ratings, that’s for tv producers to do.

Well I read Knet comments on the last ILA ep. The low rating was a hot topic but the fact DY prepared gift was also a hot topic today. The reasons for the low rating, from what I read can be: a new rival program, the ep overall was not too great (the fixed cast first part was quite awkward), it was a night with great weather so ppl went outside a lot, many ppl like the guests doing more "exciting" things so DY can be boring to them (otherwise, many finds him comforting). Actually DY concept (or any idol, even Ahn Jaehyun is labelled as boring) in ILA can get kinda repetitive (doing something and going to eat or to the market) so I think it's better off for him as a semi-fix, coming as panelist sometimes and having one ep in a while rather than coming out too often.One of fixed cast, Kian94, who is considered more interesting than DY to a part of the viewers, can be really annoying and disturbing to watch because of his untidy and unhygienic habits. He was also criticized in a recent ep. Hwasa, who went viral thanks to ILA, decided to leave the program because of the self-pressure of being entertaining without faking herself. When it comes to variety, you always have to face with these problems.One thing for sure, DY is loved by the crew and gained new fans and opportunities from this.

Thank you for the context, anons. I would say, Doyoung's strategy of creating a sweet image for this show can backfire, but it won't harm in a long run. He will read the comments, think his actions over, try something new. As he always does. He adjusts, repeats what works, drops what doesn't. Even very seasoned show producers and old variety stars have missteps. It is super hard to interest a big mass of very different people. Additionaly, Doyoung aims for the national son, not a funny comic. He will interest the group that are succectable to his charms or what he portrays. As people discussing him doing this or saying that on inet demonstrates.

And the comment about Hwasa is very true. People have endless sources of entertainment. It becomes harder and harder to catch attention and make people stay. And any format becomes repetitive. What have worked before for one artist won't be possible to recreate for another one. Doyoung might need to learn that what works for k-pop fans, doesn't for gp. Or that it is more useful for him to go on shows where he can show his smart and his wit. Right now he is just entering the field and takes any job he is offered. Considering all these shows have the same people on them, when it comes to conenctions, it is still very good and profitable for him. One of the pannelist of this show already invited him to come to her own show (that upcoming yt programme with DoWoo).

Anyway. With situations like these it is useful to mark the event, commit it to the memory in case it will be important later, and not involve oneself emotionally. Media outlets need to sensationalise everything, and people on qoo need to chat about something daily.

Ahhh hi leaf anon!! 💕 sorry this took so long! (I’m a bit of a museum nerd so I’ve been thinking in this for a while lol). Ended up rambling a bit so I’ve stuck it under a cut 😅😅

Okay so if we’re thinking academic interests I’d probably do something related to either dinosaurs or human remains. For dinosaurs, I think I’d take a chronological approach (maybe a bit ambitious to cover 160 ish million years of history in one exhibition but it’s my exhibition and I make the rules >:) ). I’d have some skeletons up on display and maybe some animatronics too, I’m a bit obsessed with them; there’s a robot T. rex at the Natural History Museum in London and I love it sm (they put a Christmas jumper on it during the holidays). I think I’d want it to have a very colourful colour scheme too - maybe a sort of 80s/90s arcade vibe lol.

Human remains would be a bit trickier bc ethical issues around displaying them, tbh I could write essays on this issue lol but maybe I’d avoid all that and use replicas/reconstructions to illustrate the point of the exhibition. I don’t think I’d take a chronological approach for this one, I’m more interested in anatomically modern humans than in human evolution really. I went to this interesting exhibition when I was on holiday recently (my friend was obviously so glad I dragged her to a natural history museum while we were on holiday lmao) where they found I burial pit for a battle (I think - I couldn’t read the information panels lol) and it was showcasing all the injuries that were visible in the skeletons - I think I’d do something like this where I take a specific site and explore it through the exhibition.

(You actually picked a great question bc I did almost exactly this for a final project at uni! I used this programme called artsteps and made a VR exhibition about a Roman burial site - so time consuming but easily the most fun I’ve ever had doing an assignment lmao)

If we’re going non academic then there are so many things I’m having trouble just picking one of two! Maybe I’d do something about the evolution of vampires in media? I’ve always been super into vampires so this way I could explore stuff I don’t know much about and also talk about stuff I love like buffy the vampire slayer and twilight (guilty pleasure lol). Or maybe I’d just make it more generally horror themed so I could cover more stuff. Sorry I’m literally typing all this as I’m thinking it you’re getting a real time look into my thought progress here 😅

I think for any of these ideas though I’d want to include lots of interactive exhibits bc those are almost always my favourite part, and lots of animatronics! (Unlimited budget so they’re going to be so realistic!). I’d want them to feel immersive too so I’d have backing tracks that go with each exhibitions, like dinosaur/nature noises or spooky music. Idk, I’d just want it to be fun - I love museums but I feel like a lot of the time they just put stuff in cases for us to look at and it’s not very interesting, if I were going to make an exhibition I’d want it to be really engaging :)

And sure Izuru says she's moments from death, this is Chiaki we're talking about, she's so fucking strong and was able to damn walk even wjth her foot and leg impaled - I'm pretty sure she can defy the odds and hang on a little longer than whatever the average for being impaled is. Soooo for my own peace of mind, she DOES defy the odds. She passes out when she falls down that final time, her breath is so shallow that Izuru, who's a lil brain frazzled at current, can't hear it. But anyway, Izuru has a lil cry and leaves because he's probably got stuff to do for Junko and they still haven't found out they're allowed their own agency, and anyway Chiaki isn't dead just close to it. So anyway, because in the land of my brain Chiaki Chihiro and Ryota are half siblings (and super close cause we love em), Ryota is off having a breakdown but he managed to get back to his actual room to do so, and Chihiro comes finds him, she then finds out what happened and goes runs off to find Mondo and go save Chiaki. Yes this is assuming Ryota is verbal enough to try and explain what happened, and assuming Chihiro knows where the hell the whole court room chaos is, BUT thanks to the power of friendship and very cool siblings and the side effects of your sister dating the ultimate luck, they find her!

Anyway, given that something very obviously bad happened, hope's peak decided to keep everything very hush hush - they just say she dropped out, refuse to answer questions from the student body, Chiaki is in the care of former ultimates, and none of 77-B know she lived. Then of course the tragedy occurs, and Chiaki doesn't join class 78 - Jin Kirigiri has his suspicions about a certain set of twins - so she's left in the care of the medical team until things get... Worse.

Anyway fast forward to everyone lives because the first killing game was actually a virtual reality (Junko wanted a trial run so she forced Chihiro to make a programme for it) the future foundation recruits class 78 - Chiaki is now in Towa along with other people who were kidnapped for the real motives, and Chihiro maaaaybe goes a little feral in Towa when she goes to save her sister. Of course, thanks to luck (very bad), the only remnants in Towa, Izuru and Nagito, never bump into Chiaki. They still genuinely believe she's dead.

Anyway, once they're captured by ff, Chiaki wants to see the remnants once again. No one in the upper management wants this to happen, but Makoto believes it could help them out. So one day he sneaks Chiaki down to where the remnants are and takes her to Nagito - since they were partners before despair, he thinks she'll have the strongest 'hope' effect on him. It... Kinda works! However, it also makes Nagito have a liiiitle bit of a breakdown, coming to terms with the fact all this despair was built on a lie, and so the neo world programme still has to go ahead. But hey! This time, Chiaki doesn't die and neither does anyone in class 78! Yaaaay!

actually first i am a army(bts fan) but after seeing nct mv i see doyoung cuz he cute and i like cute guy and after knowing more about her (personality, kindness and hardworking and man of his word)i really love him cuz he so lovebal.How can anyone hate him (taeyong fan,jaehyun fan)when i see i vlive there i see so many mean comment like( get out from taeyong room ,he just want attention) its so sad that after loving his member dearly also doyoung have getting hate by there fan can,t they can see that they the one (taeyong,jaehyun)who love him and want doyoung attention . I never see anyone who can be so kind and cute(some kpop idol just show fake preference or personality of themself and show kindness but doyoung is different and he has the most innocence eyes and beautiful smile

There are many solo-stans (like one member) and even akgaes (obsessed with a member, dislike the group), and many want their bias to be the number one in everything. Doyoung gets a lot of non-NCT jobs (MC of music shows, OSTs, variety tv-programmes, he is in most NCT content for YT, the musical, two tv-series), he even gets awards now independantly (for acting). That is why many solo-stans are envious and want to make him a bad person. They make up rumours, say he only pretends to be friends with others, that he gets jobs because he is a bootlicker, or SM's favourite.

Other popular members also get hate in the same way.

People see what they want to see, not what's real. Antis also support each other's claims, they live in their hate bubble and see others liking their hate comments. They start to believe their own words.

And there are people who don't even stan NCT, they just join a crowd to be mean and nasty.

A fandom can distort an idol's character considerably. If you are tired of mean comments, YT videos ( OSTs, Do's vlogs, etc) have praising ones.
