guys please PLEASE here me out on this kny au idea
————————————————————————
ok yall watched Puss in Boots the last wish?? and have seen the 2019 kny halloween costumes???
guys…. them as puss and death…
PLEASE
idk how this cooked in my head but i can’t get it out after rewatching the movie
so obviously the others would be in this- i’ll get there don’t worry let me cook
tengen would obviously be a bit of a cocky bastard because he’s never been caught or killed, being the successful pirate he is, he considers himself almost untouchable. but he’s avoided death too many times— he was supposed to be dead ages ago. and then giyuu comes in.
giyuu was of course pissed off and agitated that some albino lil pirate bitch kept avoiding his clutches, so he decided to take him himself
then this scene is probably gonna be the first scene of this au, just them meeting in a bar
and the sizes would, of course, be swapped. tengens a big guy who is currently sitting next to the embodiment of death and the purge of the sea and doesn’t suspect a thing— because no way he’s taller than death! he’s not looking up at death, he’s looking down
just like he has been for his whole life
giyuu didn’t say anything (typical) and simply drank with him until tengen got a bit suspicious and felt uneasy about him. giyuu then pulled the same thing death did and told tengen “i’m a big fan- could you sign this for me?”
then pulls out the “wanted- dead or alive” thing and points to dead. then the whole fight scene happens, but it’s a bit different. tengen did land a hit on giyuu, successfully cutting giyuu in half at the stomach. but nothing happened. giyuu just simply put himself back together and acted like nothing happened, he simply said “you do live up to the legends.”
of course, tengen was confused and a bit worried now, giyuu didn’t care, he had an objective and he would complete it
the famous scene of puss actually getting touched by a blade would be blue, a bright yet dark blue— like the seas tengen rules, he just didn’t know that they’d be ruled by someone else (giyuu). also another overall headcanon for giyuu is that he’s a scary guy when he really wants to be
as for the others, i do have some ideas for them
these two are giyuu’s angel and devil on his shoulders, throughout the au, these two are helping giyuu with his decisions and even with fights! they’re like giyuu’s lil summons
i had to add genya my beloved
but yes, giyuu’s lil hell hound babygi— i mean super tough and cool is sanemi ft. two other lil hounds. genya just came along because sanemi made him(he couldn’t find a babysitter). but genya is very determined to impress his big brother.
instead of death being alone i just thought it’d be cool to have a little team for death hehe
also just found out i have a limit of ten images so ima just let yall find the 2019 halloween pics for kny (can be found of pinterest and google!) sigh 😔
but yeah, the rest of the hashira are helping tengen! most of em at least. himejina, kyojuro and muichiro are spirits that are simply wondering around, kinda sorta avoiding being put in the underworld (giyuu is going insane because of that)
and shinobu is a witch! she’s a very talented (and scary) one at that, she’s more than willing to help(may or may not have questions for death about a certain sister of hers)
mitsuri and obanai come together DO NOT SEPARATE! mitsuri is a kitsune while obanai has a big old snake buddy (with kaburamaru) (long ass name for a snake) also obanai did NOT want to go.
the kamaboko squad id also here!! but they’re the comedic breaks for this au, god bless their souls for that
and yes, giyuu shall speak spanish in this too, cause why not
————————————————————————

Sugoroku: The High-Key Divorce AU
While @reicchel / @sweetreichel was visiting, I wanted to play KnY Sugoroku (which is essentially Shoots and Ladders with events, and it also happens to be Zenitsu's favorite game). You might recall I have two game board versions from pizza boxes and one from the Osaka Metro collab, but I got a wonderfully terrible idea.
Instead of playing one board, we played all three.
With ten characters.
We stayed up until 3am whispering and choked for air as we nearly died laughing, being the silly fangirls we are.
(Read more below for the digest, with a few illustrations)
Also, you might recall that she has inspired a lot of my Low-Key Married GiyuShino AU ideas. That spelled trouble. She wanted to play Giyuu since he is her favorite, and I always play Shinobu. Right away, we kept spelling more trouble as we started assembling the rest of the teams.
So that was our set-up. Giyuu and Shinobu were getting a divorce.
Giyuu assembled some Pillars on his team (it was him, Inosuke, Rengoku, Uzui, and Murata), while Shinobu took most of the kids (it was her, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Kanao, and Zenitsu.
On the first turn, everyone but Murata wound up on the same square, mostly for having fought some demons in a castle and advancing there. Murata got a stomachache after eating too many Osaka specialty foods.
We very soon determined that the reason for this divorce was a very terrible argument over baseball.
You see, Giyuu landed on the square that says "yay, you watched a baseball game and your team won, move forward two spaces" while Shinobu landed on the square that says "you watched a baseball game and your team lost, go back one space." She landed here twice. The only other time I played this Sugoroku board, she also landed here, and spent the rest of the game being very sour about it. At least in the realm of my Sugoroku canon, Shinobu is VERY invested in her baseball team.
So this was a disaster waiting to happen. The only other character to land on these spaces was Tanjiro, whose team lost, so we understood why he initially took Shinobu's side in the divorce. Giyuu didn't have to gloat!! However much the loss stings, though, Tanjiro is a forgiving person, and he spends most of the game trying to get them to reconcile.
Rengoku also becomes invested in trying to get them to reconcile. He lands on the "lose one turn shopping in Osaka" square right after Giyuu does, and Rengoku loses that turn because he's talking Giyuu out of making things worse by purchasing huge amounts of baseball merch to gloat and rub things in.
Uzui, however, at times later in the game became very invested in keeping them divorced when Giyuu was desiring reconciliation. He's competitive and on Giyuu's team and doesn't want to lose, after all. Granted, this is only after Uzui has had some major setbacks after having spent the first half of the game constantly rolling sixes and staying ahead of everybody (except Nezuko, how in the world did she gain on him so fast??? Didn't she fall asleep on the wrong train somewhere?? (She did.)).
Ah, yes. At the end of the Osaka board there's a "a strong demon appears, retreat for now! Go back one space" square. When Rengoku landed here, we could only assume it was Akaza, though it wouldn't be characteristic for Rengoku to retreat. However, he joined Giyuu on that square he retreated to, and in the following turns they both rolled 3's and advanced to the following board. We interpreted this as the two of them having teamed up and defeated Akaza together.
By the time Shinobu got stuck at this space a couple times, though, nobody was there to help her. She fell further and further behind, preparing herself for what was likely to be her final battle, against Douma. She's had a really long day--her baseball team losing, getting divorced--but somehow she barely survives this battle that should had killed her! Now what? What does she have left to live for?
Right after this, Inosuke landed on a "Shinobu helps you (with medical treatment), lose 1 turn" space, but we flipped the tables and decided Inosuke went back to help Shinobu instead, since she's in bad shape. This helps her at the start of the first of the two Pizza-La boards, and Inosuke thereafter has totally forgotten there were different teams in the first place. Shinobu soon goes on to get stuck in a long, repetitive argument with Haganezuka. She's having a very, very, very long day. (Later I accidentally moved her to the wrong space because we were having a very long night. I then moved her to the correct one, where she lost a turn because all the other Pillars were very disappointed in her for cheating.)
Very early on in the Osaka Metro board, Kanao beat Rengoku in a speed bentou eating contest. He was very impressed and immediately asked her to be his Tsuguko, which she declined. On the second Pizza-la board, she and Rengoku are also the only ones to land on the "the bentou is umai! move forward 3 spaces!" square. Every time Rengoku sees her, he greets her as his Tsuguko, but she simply says "I'm not your Tsuguko." (This is all fun and games until you realize Kanao probably gained her skills for eating that fast because when she was little if she didn't eat fast, she probably didn't eat at all.)
One of those other chance rolls is "Fix a train with Giyuu! If you roll a 2, you succeed, move forward two spaces! If you roll a 6, you failed, move back three spaces." Murata landed here. Giyuu was already on the following game board by then, so he tossed him a wrench. Murata rolled a 6, so the wrench hit him in the head.
Nezuko continued moving very smoothly through this game, though she did get a little stuck when she kept startling a Kakushi and had to go back to the square before. She won pretty early (giving Shinobu some satisfaction that her team won), and Kanao joined the Winner's Circle not long after (giving Shinobu even more satisfaction).
Zenitsu was just kind of Zenitsu and didn't do anything especially interesting in the game. He joined Nezuko-chan in the Winner's Circle without much difficulty. Inosuke also didn't have much trouble.
Funny, the kids were generally doing much better than the Pillars were. I think Murata even joined them around the middle of the game, but I forgot when because no one pays that much attention to Murata.
Not Tanjiro though. Tanjiro sucks at this game.
Roughly one after another, Uzui, Giyuu, and Tanjiro all hit the same "return to start" Muzan square at the end of the second board.
So, since it's canonical, we had them all lose arms (but gain experience, as Rengoku went on to continuously remind Tanjiro). We did spare them having to go back to the previous board, though, and instead had them go back to the start of that second board. They struggled their way through with some low roles, but in a tender turn of events, Giyuu and Tanjiro both landed on the "you pass Urokodaki's training, go forward two spaces" square. How touching that Urokodaki was able to see that they had survived the encounter with Muzan! He helped them work on one-handed techniques. Uzui, however, avoided that square because one-handed or not, he's awesome and doesn't need training.
Shortly after this, although Shinobu's day doesn't improved much, Tanjiro lands on the "receive medical treatment from Shinobu, lose one turn" square. She is stunned to see Tanjiro in this state, and then in comes Giyuu, too. Giyuu, by this time, is desperate to try to patch things up with Shinobu, but Shinobu knocks him out with medicine while giving him medical treatment. She's very worked up about his condition, out of concern for him as a Pillar. After all, they are Pillars first, and whatever-they-were second. Uzui skips the medical treatment square; he's awesome and doesn't need it.
So eventually--a long eventually--later, everyone left winds up kind of around the same spot on the third game board. Rengoku and Tanjiro wind up on the same square and Rengoku is using that chance to teach Tanjiro some Breath technique to help them against Muzan, who must be showing up soon. Shinobu lands shortly ahead of them, and then Giyuu winds up there too.
Alone together at last!! At long last!!!
They has things out, they patch things up, and they agree never to speak about baseball ever again. Rengoku and Tanjiro have been eavesdropping from their square and they cheer. Uzui just wants to hurry up and get this game over with.
They all wind up moving like a pack toward those last squares. They are ready to face Muzan together!
And they are all fine, except for Uzui, who blazed ahead of everyone only to wind up losing an eye to Muzan this time and having to start over on this third game board. Everyone watches from the Winner's Circle and goads him as he grumbles his way around the board, including landing on the "the Pillars put pressure on you, lose a turn" square. So it was like everyone who wasn't already in the winner's circle assembled just to shake at their head at him and be disappointed in his for letting his ego get out of control.
But you can't keep a good Uzui down. He then lands on the "Go forth flamboyantly with Uzui! Go forward 4 spaces!" square, which helps him find his stride, and this time he plows through Kibutsuji Muzan. The end.

Can I request? How would male hashiras react if we bleed when we were doing it? You can take your time, thank youu
Male pillars x Reader - Blood isn't a problem.
author's note: I was certainly worried about how I should write this, there aren't many ways a woman can bleed down there without causing serious damage. Since I do not feel comfortable writing about those scenarios, I only wrote about period sex or virginity loss.
pairing: Tengen x reader, Obanai x reader, Rengoku x reader, Sanemi x reader, Giyuu x reader, Gyomei x reader
content warning: fem!reader, blood, period sex, virginity loss
Tengen:
• the first time you bled down there was a complete accident
• you were having your first time with him and he shoved it in too deep -> your hymen broke immediately
• he was really worried, but gladly you were fine
"i'm sorry- breathe, beautiful. breathe." he instructed you, hands coming up to rest on your hips. he rubbed soothing circles into your skin, knowing he was a lot to take in.
"is it better now? it's all in, you did so good.." he said, leaning down to press a kiss on your lips. you wrapped shaky legs around him, knowing he had seen the blood glistening between your bodies too.
you knew it was prone to happen, he was on the packing side in girth and length.
shaky lips pressed against his, assuring him that "it's fine.." you knew he would never try to hurt you - not on purpose. besides, the pain subsided rather quickly.
Obanai:
• knows your in pain during your period, doing anything to ensure you're fine
• chocolate, blankets, candles - he would bring everything you need
• he didn't know much about women - his past didn't give him the opportunity to learn - but he did it now
• read that sex helped against period cramps and came running towards you
"is it better now?" he asked, grinding deep into your pussy. his cheeks were flushed the same color as your own, brows furrowed together. he was focused on moving lightly, not wanting to hurt you.
he groans every so often, but tries to swallow the sounds he made down. he didn't want you to think that he was doing this for his own pleasure.
it did feel good, but he did it because he wanted to help you. he couldn't bare seeing you curled up in pain.
"you look m- more relaxed.." he mumbled, resting his head on your shoulder. he kissed along your skin, wanting you to feel loved all around.
Rengoku:
• was inwardly panicking when you had sex and he suddenly saw blood -> why was it bleeding? you weren't a virgin and he didn't hurt you either
• felt relieved when you told him it was fine, you just miscalculated the day your period would arrive
• he's not into period sex, not because it's unattractive, but is scared of hurting you if he pushes his dick in
• most importantly, found ways to still lessen your cramps
"it's okay, [name], you're doing so good.." he would quietly say, his voice barely a whisper. he knew he often was too loud for other, but couldn't find the right volume. you found it endearing, but that would be a story for another time.
"Kyo, it's starting to hurt again.." you responded, a whine slipping past your lips. he had two of his fingers pressed deep inside of you, slowly pumping them in and out of your pussy.
they were glistening with your blood and slick, but he didn't care. it wasn't disgusting to him, he was used to seeing blood. the only thing he regretted was not being able to taste you after finishing. the metallic taste of blood made it impossible.
"we'll get you through this, just relax for me.."
Sanemi:
• doesn't have a problem with period sex, but knows he can sometimes be too rough during the act
• doesn't want to hurt you because he's too dumb to control himself
• his solution? letting you take control
"fuck, doing so good for me.." he pants, throwing his head back against the cushions. you had been riding him for a while now, shaky legs having trouble to keep their tempo.
he wouldn't complain, he knew you couldn't influence it. his hands were gripping your waist, squeezing with every slow thrust.
he was used to a rougher pace - the pace he set - your slow tempo was a complete contrast to his. he felt like he was about to cum every time you sank down on him.
"just like that, yeah.. tell me if it's too much." he gasped out, squeezing his eyes shut.
it was hard to concentrate, but he would make sure you would be fine.
Giyuu:
• just like Obanai, he did it to help you, not wanting to see you convulse in pain
• didn't know it would turn out to feel so good though
• your insides were all warm and wet, there was no need for foreplay, he could sink right in
• easily gets addicted to the feeling of your cunt
• definitely still does it to help you, but can't deny that he's quite eager for it too
his hips slapped against you, much slower than the pace he would usually set, but still fast enough to make your breath catch in your throat. your arms were wrapped around his neck, holding him close.
"i- love, fuck.. you feel so good, ah-" he moaned into your ear, burying his head in your neck. you could feel his hot breath gliding over the shell of your ear.
"tell me you feel good, as g- good as i feel when i fuck you like this.." his moans soon turned into whines, matching the sounds escaping you.
he listened to you chanting his name, trying to tell him that you were about to cum. "let go, want to feel you cum on my dick.." he panted, his pelvis grinding against your clit more often than not.
he couldn't hold back his own orgasm when he felt you gush around his cock, pressing his hips flush against yours to make you take his cum.
"f- uh- so g- good.." he mewled, hips slowly coming to a halt. upon seeing you lay under him in pure exhaustion and relaxation, he decided to finally pull out.
he just didn't know the sight of your cum and blood making his cock glisten would turn him on so much.
Gyomei:
• knew he was bigger than the average man in every way
• understood why you were nervous when you shared your first time
• was scared himself and offered you to take him in yourself
• felt bad for the blood, but trusted your every word
"darling?" his deep voice asked, realizing there was a faint metallic scent in the air. your hands had tightened their hold on his shoulders, probably leaving small crescent marks.
"i- it's fine.." you stuttered out, trying to reassure him. you have been taking him in slowly, but his girth alone ensured that this would be painful at first.
however, you couldn't deny the relief you felt after having pushed him in so deeply already. your breathing has gotten quite shaky, feeling his large hands squeeze your waist in an attempt to comfort you.
"are you su- mh.." he didn't get to finish his sentence, you were squeezing him tightly. truthfully, it was hard for him to stay entirely still like this, but he forced himself to hold out longer.
he wondered whether you would be able to take all of it in.

𝙨𝙮𝙣. ━ giyuu is wholeheartedly in love with you.
━ 𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙨. no bc i am making this man a pathetic simp for you idc. im writing these with myself in mind so yk, i have to pour out my feelings. and also i need to get all this giyuu writing off my chest, its actually a problem the fixation i have on this man but no fics tickle my brain just right so i have to write them myself
━ 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙨. btw thank you so much for all the love and support on my last two posts. literally you all are so incredibly sweet !! (∩˃o˂∩)♡ i just graduated college so i might have a bit more time to write but no promises!
━ 𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨. none. giyuu might be a little ooc. modern reader in kny. i rewrote this a few times so pls be nice 🤧. 1.4k words.
━ 𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩. im just going though and adding a synopsis and fixing my titles. og title: falling for you.
Giyuu actually doesn’t know how this occurred. No, actually that was a lie. He knew how this happened, but didn’t at the same time. And honestly speaking, the man does not care at all. You were so nice and sweet to Giyuu it made his head spin. Like it makes him ill in the best way imaginable. He doesn’t understand why you want to be around him so much, why you want to be his friend – not that he minds – but he just can’t get past his own indiscretions about himself. That was until you told him to his face.
You tell him that you thought he was cute – I'm sorry? – and you liked how calm he was – really? His brain can’t compute anything that you say. He doesn’t know if you need any medical assistance or he’s just dreaming. But it makes you laugh. The cute, dumb look on his face as he stands there, gaping at you like a fish.
It wasn’t like it was new information. You did enjoy his company the most. He was very quiet and by no means were you either, but you have this habit of matching the energy of people you were with. So, it was almost relaxing and refreshing spending time with Giyuu. Though Giyuu is silent most of the time, he does in fact talk. At first it's about a mission he was on recently, if and most likely when he gets more comfortable with you, he’s talking a little more in depth about random things that are on his brain. It's endearing really. Or sometimes he’s just talking about things that he thinks you might like to know, random facts, and so on.
But sometimes you do the talking and he likes that too. You could talk for hours and he could listen to every word you have to say. He would soak it up like a sponge as you focus your eyes on the crochet hooks weaving in front of you. Your voice is quiet and nice, soft and warm sounding.
This typically happens when you visit his estate. And you visit his estate a lot. Maybe Giyuu was a little disappointed that you weren’t staying with him, but he knows that he shouldn’t bite the hand that feeds. He’s lucky enough to see you this much, as much as he's lucky to see you at all. He can’t be too mad though. Mitsuri has jumped you the first moment she got when the Master had brought up your living arrangements. You had nowhere to go. And honestly, Giyuu may have been a little relieved that Mitsuri of all people had gotten to you first.
He really wouldn’t have minded if it had been Rengoku or Gyomei. For obvious reasons, Rengoku would be happy to have him stopped by and probably Gyomei too, because it seems like they don’t have a bone to pick with him. Honestly speaking, he wouldn’t have minded Muichiro either, though the boy would have probably forgotten your existence within the day. But any of the others, the thought made his skin crawl for plenty of reasons. Maybe it was because it would have become a hassle, or he would be harassed every time he went to visit you. Yes, it does seem on par with him that might just avoid you so you don’t get verbally assaulted like he does if you were to associate with him. But he was a lonely, pathetic man who was enamored with you at first glance the minute you showed up out of nowhere and he couldn’t help but thank the heavens that the stars had aligned so nicely for him – even if he felt he didn’t deserve it.
His only issue with the arrangement was Obanai. The man had almost butchered him on numerous occasions just for showing up to the Love estate. Even if he wasn’t there for Mitsuri, the Serpent Hashira didn’t seem to care. Maybe it was funny the first few times – it actually wasn’t – but you really couldn’t keep your mouth shut anymore. Obanai was wearing you thin with his commentary. Everytime Giyuu was around, it was like the others just couldn’t help themselves by making a comment insulting the man. Maybe it was because you didn’t want to disrespect a Hashira, especially if four of them were in the room with you, but Giyuu was here to see you, and it was almost like insulting Giyuu was an insult to you for wanting to spend time with him.
Mitsuri was okay with Giyuu coming to visit you, she actually encouraged it. So watching Mitsuri stand behind you while you gave Iguro a piece of your mind was something Giyuu didn’t know he needed to see until then. And maybe he did allow himself to feel a little selfish and smile mentally. He still remembers how Iguro had this look of disdain on his face, simultaneously looking like a scolded child and embarrassed because this was happening in front of Mitsuri.
Giyuu wondered if you caught the look that Obanai and Kaburamaru were giving you – if looks could kill and all that – but that was stupid. You most certainly did and just didn’t care enough. And Giyuu also wonders just what kind of sorcery you have, because he did hear you mention Sanemi by name at some point and now he's not bothering him as much, especially when you are around.
It wasn’t like he could do anything about it, not like he had ever done anything about it in the past. He never really had the heart to correct anyone in their assumptions of him, he never really thought he had to. Though, that mainly was because he thought he deserved such mistreatment. Regardless, it didn’t matter how he felt about it and himself. If you enjoyed his company that much to defend him, he was going to provide as much of it as you wanted. But there was something about it that made his heart swell a little bit bigger and flooded him with enough warmth that you could have mistaken it as him having a fever.
Now here the two of you were, sitting outside the Water Estate. You both had taken your places by the koi pond Giyuu has. It's so calm and cool. The soft moving of water could be heard every time the wind blew just enough, as well as the sharp sound of water splashing because some fish got too close to the surface.
Giyuu isn’t losing himself as he stares at the pond, watching the fish move around. He finds himself mesmerized though, as you talk. It’s nice, as usual. He likes how you talk and the way you talk. He could listen to you for hours and never get tired of hearing you. And he knows that if he glances at you now, even briefly, he wouldn’t be able to look away. You just look so… wonderful. It makes him dizzy. But he has such a weak will to do so, and now he's staring at you. Eyes soft and relaxed. He has never felt so content.
Giyuu doesn’t know if he realizes what kind of situation he is in. Or maybe he does. Maybe he’s finally realizing just how much of an effect you have on him. He likes you. He likes you beyond anything in the world. He loves you and everything about you.
You don't notice him staring. You’re too busy weaving the crochet hook in and out of your craft. You make it look so effortless. So enjoyable. And you seem so happy crocheting away as you speak. The way you talk and do it at the same time, you're so smart. You have to be. And Giyuu can’t help but hope you don’t look up. You’re as mesmerized with your work as he is with you. He would die though, if you caught him. The thought makes him sweat almost, being so close to you like this. His hands are clammy, and he's never been this nervous.
Yeah, he definitely has it bad for you. And for the first time in a while, even despite his nerves, he found the corners of his lips curling upwards, in a soft and timid smile. He averts his eyes, almost to gather his bearings, but that isn't enough. The subtle flush creeping onto his cheeks betrayed him. But he couldn’t be more delighted.
thank you for reading !! ૮₍˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶₎ა

THE GREAT WAR — PART II (NSFW teaser)
GIYUU TOMIOKA • SECRET PREGNANCY AU
I knew tonight’s episode would send me nosediving back into my TGW obsession. So enjoy a look at our favorite dumb love birds going to town.
CW: explicit sexual content • MDNI • Giyuu is obsessed with the concept of the female orgasm • oral sex (f!receiving) • some cum eating (more to come)
READ PART I HERE
Giyuu sat and watched her for a moment longer, spread out across the polished wood, her kimono disheveled and her legs still trembling from the intensity of their love-making.
He clicked his tongue. He hadn’t had enough; not nearly so.
“Oomph!” Y/N squealed as Giyuu slid his arm under her and hauled her up and over his shoulder, her opened kimono barely clinging to her frame. Her hands scrambled to clutch at his back to steady herself as the engawa disappeared from below her.
“Giyuu –”
“If you think I’ve had enough of you now, then you’ve sorely underestimated me,” Giyuu cut her off, firmly. “You owe me more.”
“Owe you –” the Miko sputtered
“Yes,” Giyuu replied simply. “You owe me more of your pleasure. I’ve not yet had my fill of it.”
“You are ridiculous.”
“Perhaps,” he conceded, nudging the door to his — their — bedroom open with his foot. “Or perhaps I’m simply a man who was forced to hold himself back from the woman he loves for far too long.”
Though his movements were perhaps slower in the absence of his right arm, Giyuu nonetheless managed to carefully lay his blushing fiance out upon their futon. He sat back, his hand sliding between her knees to urge her thighs apart and make room for him as he settled between them.
“And I want to consummate our impending union.”
Y/N flushed crimson as he began pressing slow, teasing kisses along the inside of her thigh as he made his way down to where she was already aching for him once more.
She fought against the moan building in her throat. “Consummation is for those who have already wed, and you took liberties well before you ever proposed betrothal.”
“Have I not made my intention to marry you quite clear?” Giyuu hummed against her skin, those lapis eyes flicking up to hers, narrowing in on the way she tugged her bottom lip between her teeth.
“N-no,” and Giyuu smirked at the pitchiness of her tone and how her chest heaved beneath his ministrations. “Nor have you given me my sword, as you prom — oh.”
The shrine maiden’s head thudded back against the padding of the bed as Giyuu traced the tip of his tongue along her slit, gathering what remained of both his and her pleasure into his mouth with a low groan.
He pulled back just enough that only his lips grazed the outside of her cunt. “You still talk too much,” he murmured and then he latched his mouth to her core, his tongue sliding smoothly into her entrance, and Y/N fell silent once more.
wait til y’all see him accidentally make her squirt lmao

While taking care of Obanai, do Sanegiyuu have any domestic moments? Like, they hug for a moment if Obanai manages to have some of his bottle without spitting it up or fussing with it?
definitely !!!
with baby obanai being such high maintenance they're always forced to work together ... even with things like putting the baby down for a nap or getting a sock on one of his little feet
i have a very specific image in my mind where obi is fast asleep in sanemis arms and he and giyuu are just sprawled out against each other Relieved the baby is finally settled. but they're both idiots with love and romance so they don't pick up on anything unless kaburamaru or obanai react. and even then. they are dumb

Unhinged theory
Sanemi and Giyuu are exes (Part 1)
In celebration of the canonization* of my favorite couple, I've decided to try to get out of my writing funk by writing this theory. There's a teeny tiny spoiler included for those of you who haven't read the manga. So bewareeeeee.
Ok so, whenever I think of the actual-current-canon-in-the-anime/manga relationship between these two, something about their animosity just seems off. Even though they don't 'like' each other, and they clash a lot, their interactions give this "We used to be somewhat close" energy. Whether it's ex-friends/boyfriends doesn't matter, the point is that I feel these two have history.
So lemme explain:
Hide yo coins cuz I'm finna reaching with this one 😂
The beginning
I think their relationship started around the time when Sanemi became a Hashira. He was still raw and hurt over the death of Masachika, his new colleagues have a terrible first impression of him, plus he just got the news that Genya has joined the Corps and there's nothing he can do about it. Needless to say, our boy isn't doing so well.
Enter Giyuu, he's new to the Corps too(I figured he joined a bit earlier than Sanemi), Obanai isn't here yet for Sanemi to bond with, and he's an outcast so they would probably gravitate to one another even if they don't realize.
Maybe they went on joint missions and during that time they would have to communicate to one another. Sanemi was probably the one who initiated the conversations and I know this seems unbelievable but don't forget Sanemi has a general openness of 60% while Giyuu has 30% so it's not so far off for Sanemi to try to communicate with him.
Giyuu liked Sanemi, it was probably one of those love-at-first-sight kind of things, but his constant NLOG statements, general aloofness and social ineptitude prevented him from connecting with Sanemi properly. And like I said earlier, Sanemi was still emotionally raw so a lot of Giyuu's actions and mannerisms were probably triggering for him given his background and after many attempts to connect with this guy albeit in his own aggressive way, but he doesn't have the patience to understand Giyuu's words and behavior.
The breakup
Aside from miscommunication, I think the factors that led to their breakup were Giyuu's depression, imposter syndrome and Sanemi's depression and low self-esteem.
Giyuu probably told him one time, "I'm not like you." and refused to elaborate, so Sanemi interpreted that statement as Giyuu looking down on him. He got embarrassed, angry but most of all hurt because of course, he's not dumb he knows how far apart they are when it comes to class. Before becoming a Slayer Giyuu came from a well-to-do family, he's attractive, he's educated, he speaks well and he can write.
So why would someone like Giyuu want to be with an ugly, monstrous, ghetto rat like him? He couldn't tell all this to Giyuu because doing that would require him to be vulnerable and Sanemi would rather die. So he did the thing he always does when he gets hurt, he withdrew. Then proceeded to cover up his pain with anger and his shame with pride.
Giyuu, on the other hand, was oblivious to Sanemi's pain and just assumed that he was just 'hot-tempered'. Around this time, Obanai joined the Hashira and he and Sanemi became fast friends. Finally! Here was someone Sanemi was able to relate to, someone who has the same level of openness, who had similar traumatic experiences, has an equally suicidal desire to kill demons and most importantly someone who doesn't look down on him.
When Obanai encountered Giyuu for the first time probably in his first Hashira meeting, he asked Sanemi about the weird, sad guy who stood way off to the side. Sanemi being comfortable around Obanai tells him about Giyuu, his attitude and their history and Obanai is like 'What an asshole!' and like a true bro starts hating Giyuu in solidarity with Sanemi, much to Giyuu's confusion.
Thus began Sanemi's one-sided antagonistic relationship with Giyuu, but no matter how hard he tried to hate him, deep down Sanemi still cares, and he still wants to connect with Giyuu, but he can't risk being hurt again. Giyuu still views Sanemi as a friend and doesn't realize yet that Sanemi was gone - physically and emotionally.
Then after his first and second encounter with Tanjiro in the first season, I believe that there was a massive but subtle change within him that led him to begin a more active approach in his attempts to connect with Sanemi, and he does so in a really clumsy way that only makes Sanemi even more annoyed.
Giyuu didn't know at the time, but he had an opportunity to get back with Sanemi, and that was when the Master asked the other Hashira to try to make him happy so he would open up.
Shinobu who noticed Giyuu's pining after Sanemi figured that an invitation to eat his favorite food from his favorite person would help Giyuu to open up. Not knowing about Sanemi's beef with Giyuu, she made the request, but that just made him angry as all the emotions he tried to bury came to the surface. Why did he have to reach out? So he can get rejected again? Embarrassed again? Hurt again?
Shinobu being the sneaky manipulator she is used the Master as bait which worked and Sanemi begrudgingly, painfully approached Giyuu and Giyuu in his infinite knowledge replied with a "No" as the start in his response instead of simply telling Sanemi that he was full and that they could go eat later.
Another embarrassing rejection, which made Sanemi snap with an emotion so fierce that he didn't even listen to the rest of the response. All he heard was the cold "No", all he saw was Giyuu's aloof expression, like his Sanemi meant so little to him. Giyuu fucked up, and oblivious as always was left wondering why Sanemi was so angry at him, but his desire to connect with this grumpy man remained unquenched.
So what now?
Well, what follows is a slew of weird interactions between two people who are frustrated with but ultimately drawn to each other.
In the episode where the Hashira were first introduced, Giyuu probably hadn't seen Sanemi in a long time, which was why when he looked when he heard Sanemi's voice.
He also doesn't interfere when Nezuko gets stabbed but when it seems that there might actually be a fight between his love and his son he tries to stop the fight the only way he knows by invoking the Master, which works in distracting Sanemi but not on Tanjiro who is already on a warpath and proceeds to introduce Sanemi to his forehead. Notice that this is the only time aside from his introduction that we see him actually have a visible reaction.
During the indoor meeting, Giyuu sits close to Sanemi like everything is all normal. When Sanemi blames him for the distraction he replies in a friendly tone mocking him like they're friends, because to him Sanemi is just being grumpy. He genuinely doesn't think anything's wrong.
In the next Hashira meeting, he tries the friendly mocking thing again but Sanemi is having none of that. His expression kills me everytime 😂, like mans was ready to scrap.
It reminds me of the 'You have to treat a car like you treat a woman' scene in Ben 10.
Sanemi, the pissed off wife: Go on.
Giyuu, the whipped husband: No, I sense I've made a mistake of some kind.
Obanai being the precious gem that he is, is ready to back his bro up.
Then after Amane left, something changed in Sanemi. In one of my previous posts, I talked about his attempts to reach out to Giyuu by questioning him, but why did he do it? Of all the times, why did he try to confront Giyuu now?
I think it's because of what Amane told them about the Demon slayer marks, about how the mark bearers don't live past 25. Take a look at his expression, he's surprised obviously, but there's something else mixed in.
I figured he knows they're in the endgame now, with the possibility of Muzan coming for Nezuko now that she can conquer the sun. There's no problem this is what he's prepared for, he's always accepted his death as an inevitable outcome but what about Giyuu?
He just realized the unlocking of the marks means that Giyuu would die too. After all this time he still cares and the fact that they could both die without them even trying to mend their relationship scares Sanemi and remember in this post discussing Sanemi's mental health how his impulsive actions are most likely done out of fear, well this is one of them.
Giyuu says the regular NLOG stuff which triggers Sanemi, but instead of running away he confronts him instead. He tries to work past his feelings of inferiority and really listen to Giyuu's words. He tried reaching out in a sort of friendly way with a smile, even if his words came out as aggressive.
Giyuu as usual doesn't elaborate, but Sanemi has had enough, so he literally reaches out for Giyuu, ready to pull his man by the weave if it means that he'll finally get an answer.
Then Gyomei daddy claps, everyone shuts the fuck up, you know the rest. Shoutout to Mitsuri for being the highlight of that scene, she's honestly the best girl 😂.
The first attempt failed, but Sanemi undeterred goes to confront Giyuu again, but this time he tries a different approach. He asks Giyuu to spar with him, maybe he thinks the heightened emotions would cause Giyuu to erupt and reveal his true feelings, maybe he wants to wear Giyuu down so he would be willing to answer Sanemi's question but unfortunately it doesn't work...or so he thinks.
Unknown to Sanemi, this time there was a difference and that was Tanjiro(bestest boy ❤). After the successful Torture the Introvert mission, Giyuu now has a renewed sense of self in a way and he's now willing to make a more active approach towards opening up to people. I already talked about the romantic undertones of his desire to get closer to Sanemi here and here so I wouldn't really get into Giyuu and Tanjiro's conversation after Sanemi left but suffice to say that our Giyuu is a new man. He knows what he wants now and what he wants is Sanemi.
In Conclusion, here's part two.
*Extra stuff
I noticed that even though Giyuu seems emotionless, his hands tell a different story. In Demon slayer, I've noticed that the characters' veins on their faces pop to display strong emotions or reactions. Giyuu doesn't have on his face when they're fighting, unlike Sanemi, but he does have on his hands.
This is the first time (that I know of) that we're seeing this, which tells me that he does feel something. He just doesn't know how to express it.
Also, I'd like to attribute Sanemi's persistence with getting Giyuu to open up to him being the eldest child, we all have the experience of pestering our younger ones until they give in and respond to us. Tanjiro is the same way as well.
Also, Sanemi be treating Tanjiro like an opp when our precious boy is basically his biggest supporter and possibly their future Best Man 😂.
*Disclaimer: I'm not saying it's canon canon, I'm just stating that Ufotable acknowledges this ship, which means that they see something between them too.

Wanna see some ass shakin'?
Pairing: giyuu X male reader
Genre: smut
Warnings: praise, dirty talk, slight degradation, mention of belly bulge, dumb fucking, non con words (stop, no, slowdown), one fem term for giyuu
Summary: fucking giyuu dumb (can you tell I like sub giyuu???"
A/n: found this little thing in my drafts and incompletely forgot about it. It's shit but I need to post something:(
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
It's the middle of the night, giyuu had the day off so you decided he deserved a little reward for his hard work slaying demons.
Moans and the sound of skin slapping filled your shared room. Your hands kneaded the fat of his hips before sending a harsh slap on his ass followed by a scream. "Yeah? You like that huh?" You questioned slapping him again.
"MHM! Y-yeah i-FU-ckkk" his hands were gripping the sheets and drool was running down his lip. Your thrusts somehow quickened and hardened.
"s-slow down" leaning forward with a whine, giyuu reached back trying to slow your thrust to no avail.
"you were practically begging me a few hours ago, rubbing up against me and whining like the little girl you are" you gripped his hand and locked them behind him before starting your thrusts up again.
Moans and broken sobs could only be heard from the man underneath you. If you could see his face it would probably be red and flustered, drool on the corner of his mouth and eyes rolling to the back of his head.
He was out of his mind just because of your dick.
You liked when it was like this, being able to fuck him so hard he forgets everything but your name.
Everytime you two would sleep together you would ruin the poor boy but god, did he love it and so did you.
Racking your eyes down his back, your eyes fix on his ass, more specifically the way it would bounce when your hips would meet. Thrusting a little bit hard a yelp came from giyuu, but you didn't care.
Reaching down and tangling your fingers in his hair, you pull his flush to your chest, thrusting again you eyed his stomach.
"aww look baby, you dicks that deep in you it's bulging out! You are tiny compared to me" giyuu looked down before throwing his head back with a scream. You, yet again, sped up your thrusts.
"no l-look down now. Look at how good, fuckk, good I fuck you. How deep I am inside you" you said while forcing him to look the his stomach and the bulge your cock was creating.
Tears streamed down his cheeks, fighting around you, you knew he was close. "You close baby, wanna cum all over yourself huh? Fuck I'm close too" you hand jerked his hair so he could face you before smashing your lips against his, spit dripped down your chins, teeth clashing and your tongue down his throat.
"y-yeah ngh, fuck Im so close" another moan fell from his lips, he had fallen from grace yet he was still jaw dropping while he was moaning and squeezing around your cock.
"yeah want me to fill you up nice and full, breed you hard huh? Bet you'd want that, have my cum dripping out of you" the only answer you got from him was a 'mhm'
Your breathing staggered, abs tightening and hand gripping him even harder. One hand heft his hip and jerked him off quickly, the other fondled with his nipple.
"FUCk I'm gonna f-uckin cum, oh my god! Please please can I cum please" he begged, his entire body shaking and eyes rolling back again.
"yeah f-fuck cum, make a mess for me like the good slut you are hmm" you said jerking him off even faster.
"NGH. THAN-K YOU FUCKKK!" Ropes of white cum landed on your hands and the bed sheets.
That was more than enough for you to reach your orgasm, your breath stopped, thrusting deeper in the man you can with a low groan while giyuu whimpered at the warm feeling.
Catching your breaths you kissed his neck and his jaw before his lips. "Did so well for me, all the time, good boy"
"mhm, thank you" he reached for your jaw to kiss you again.
"anytime pretty thing"

Y/n: I’ve been dropping them the most insanely obvious hints for like a year now. No response.
Giyuu💙: Wow. They sound stupid.
Y/n: But they’re not. They’re really smart actually. Just dense.
Giyuu💙: Maybe you need to be more obvious? Like, I don’t know… “Hey! I love you!”
Y/n: I guess you’re right. Hey Giyuu, I love you.
Giyuu💙: See! Just say that!
Y/n: Holy fucking shit.
Giyuu💙: If that flies over their head then, sorry Y/n, but they're too dumb for you.
Y/n: Giyuu.

Shinobu: Cold hands may be caused by simply being in a cold room or other chilly environment. Cold hands are often a sign that your body is trying to maintain its regular body temperature. Remorse
“Awwww~ look at you and your dumb face. Your so fucked, I don’t think you even know what happened to you.” Whispering in your ear. He still hasn’t even pulled out if you yet- though he can’t right now. Legs wrapped so tight around him and shaking that he couldn’t even if he wanted to.
For the pass two hours he has been doing whatever he wants when ever he wanted to. Didn’t matter what way he wanted to do- it was done the way he wanted it to be done.
Turning you over what ever way he thought was fit for the best angles. Loving everything you have to offer for them, drinking it up with no remorse.

demon slayer notes
i started watching demon slayer, without having read the manga, at the urging of a family friend who is new to anime and insists it's extremely good. here are my thoughts on the anime and then the entire manga through to its end.
in this post, i appended followup notes to some points upon revisiting them because i had to make sure to go back and tell my past self what happened.
i watched episodes 1 through 20 without writing anything because i wasn't planning to. i watched many of those episodes on my phone, which is unusual for me, but i was traveling at the time. so i probably missed some finer visual details.
my impression of the show before i started, from having skimmed the start of its wikipedia page some months ago, was that it seemed to be relatively high quality but very formulaic Standard Shounen Fare, and it did not catch my interest. after watching 20 episodes, that opinion hasn't really changed. so many of the elements of the show are typical and just barely riff on extremely basic tropes. i'm sure there are many people who argue that demon slayer in fact drastically and ingeniously transforms those generic shounen tropes, but i'm not so sure about that. [followup note: the story does improve in terms of nuance later on, but i'm not retracting this paragraph.]
they did kind of an amazing job on the anime in terms of animation and effects. i should really rewatch those first 20 episodes on my computer screen so i can better appreciate it.
tanjirou is a very, very good boy. almost too good. where are his flaws? his internal monologues are always so apt. almost too apt. his backstory is of course compelling, but he hasn't won me over quite yet… i do like his headbutts, though… [followup note: i guess his flaw is his penchant for excessive self-sacrifice? which is one of those job interview "flaws" that is more likely to be a virtue.]
i'm looking forward to nezuko having more and more agency as the story progresses.
i'm looking forward to zenitsu learning to shut the fuck up more and more as the story progresses. i do have to give his voice actor a lot of credit for going completely all-out every time and never holding back.
i immediately love inosuke because he's a dumb bastard.
will tomioka giyuu fill the hayakawa aki-shaped hole in my heart by not being doomed? [followup note: not really. good for him not being doomed though!]
the art style is so samefacey… golden kamuy spoiled me…
the demon slayer corps seems to think it's hot shit and have many, many levels of hierarchy, but they're disorganized enough to regularly and greatly underestimate the threat of demons such that they keep sending their own fighters to their deaths. they need to work on their intelligence gathering, if nothing else.
all the hashira seem to care an awful lot about the life of the hypothetical person hypothetically killed by nezuko, but their organization is sloppy and heartless in its deploying of weak demon slayers. is this clumsy writing with plot holes, or is it a hint for the astute as to the organization's dirtiness and disorder? [followup note: i want to say it was the former or i guess neither. the master turns out to be really humble and kind to his hashiras. did he not grasp how bad a job they were doing wrt casualties?]
i like how sanemi's eyes continue to look insane even when he's calmly using polite speech
"My arms and legs are really short right now." ~zenitsu while his arms and legs are really short
i do hope boys watch this and come away with the idea that tanjirou's habit of intense and unconditional kindness is cool.
i did like when the girls told zenitsu to his face to be respectful to girls and he was humbled. [followup note: i discovered this was added into the anime and not present in the manga. good addition]
the last few seconds of the OP for the mugen train arc make it seem like rengoku is gonna die. (explicitly prepares my heart for that)
by the way, after the first season ended and we're on to the next arc, inosuke is still the best. i don't do it myself, but i enjoy watching others live life with true wild abandon. i really enjoy his kind of annoyingness more than zenitsu's.
rengoku is committed to never breaking eye contact with the camera
in ep2 of the train arc, tanjirou said "and where are you looking?!" (in japanese) to rengoku, but they translated it as "and when did you get so big?!" because i guess they felt like it would be a better visual joke because they animated rengoku really big? but they should've kept the "where are you looking?" because it's funny that tanjirou addressed what i was already thinking and had in fact written in the previous point. they did it twice in one episode too. is this going to be something we learn about rengoku? that he doesn't look at people? i thought we saw him look at people… [followup note: it's not. also the same joke was in the manga so they especially should have translated it right.]
rengoku said that black sword bearers never know which thing to master. obvious flag for "tanjiro's going to master them all of them and be the biggest baddest hashira in shounen history." too obvious (if i'm right) [i was wrong]
who's gonna tell gotouge-sensei that headbutts don't make your head bleed
prediction: kibutsuji targeted tanjirou's family because of their ancestry and some great prophecy about how that bloodline is fated to someday defeat him. he killed everyone who was home but thought that had to be all the kids because there were so many. he turned nezuko into a demon just to see what would happen and/or because he did actually remember the right number of kids and he wanted her to kill tanjirou. it may also turn out that kibutsuji was responsible for tanjirou's dad's death and/or the scars on both their heads. [followup note: i was wrong about a lot of this, but he did target them for their bloodline]
tanjirou gathered the courage to slit his own throat waaay too easily and quickly.
the netflix translator for the subs for the first few episodes (at least) of the train arc is taking far too many liberties for my liking. i wonder if the subs are different on crunchyroll, which i don't have. i should note that the first 20ish episodes i watched, i watched on a non-netflix non-crunchyroll site and i guess they were fan subs. but i didn't notice anything wrong with those subs.
"I fused my being with this entire train!" ok i've been giving this anime some shit for being predictable, but credit where credit is due, i did not expect that. that's really funny. i hate Lower One's voice btw.
i can tell that some, if not all, of the move names characters shout out are puns like the move names in one piece, but because there are no translation notes, i can't understand them :( [followup note: there aren't any in the official translation either :( and i looked up an unofficial translation and it didn't have any either :( i guess when i'm done with the manga i'll look at a wiki for the move name meanings… of course i dare not look at a wiki when spoilers are still a concern…] [followup followup: didn't care enough before posting this to look at the move name meanings]
anyone who has read my blog, you know what i'm gonna say about nipples, right? it's obvious, right? about inosuke's and others' empty chests. it's obvious. people will be like "you want explicit nipples depicted on the chests of TEEN BOYS?" no i want minimal abstract representations of nipples because everyone has them and it's normal and it's weirder to see a blank aladdin chest. this is about NIPPLE POSITIVITY. i will die on this hill time after time
if two guys are fighting a train together and they synchronize their breathing, is it gay
i liked when inosuke gently set injured tanjirou back down. character development
ok i REALLY dislike the netflix subs for these episodes. don't ADD shit. it's simple. just don't. you have to respect the author. you have to respect the author.
i prepared myself for rengoku's death. thanks for the hint, train arc OP. i see now that he was introduced to serve the purpose of character development for tanjirou.
the appeal of a stone-faced character like tomioka giyuu is twofold: a) they look cool all the time, and b) you develop a desire to see them emote.
tanjirou's gonna get yelled at for losing his sword again…
i like how akaza made it a point to beat up tanjirou's sword. to give us viewers closure as to whether tanjirou was gonna get that sword back.
i feel like i've seen an oversized amount of fanart involving rengoku, given the length of his lifespan in the show. (nothing i looked up, but just by osmosis.) is this like a portgas d. ace situation? i hate shipping ace with anyone because he's dead. or could it be that the character i've seen around was actually senjurou? doubtful
zenitsu's VA is doing a good job, like i said, but i bet zenitsu is a lot more lovable in the manga where you don't actually have to listen to him losing his shit…
i'll officially be mad if anything happens to inosuke.
uzui's three weed-smoking girlfriends…
so the boys are not even just infiltrating the houses of pleasure but they're aiming for the rank of oiran
tanjirou's bad lying face can't compete with luffy's bad lying face… sorry… [followup note: it was better in the manga]
inosuke who can get ahold of himself well enough to actually stfu and act like a girl… excellent
yeah fuck the translator for these netflix subs in the entertainment district arc too. you can't just write whatever you think would sound cool for their lines.
i have to find out the japanese for inosuke's catchphrase "comin' through" (according to this translation). wait i should just turn japanese captions on. ……there are no japanese captions… gimme a break…
they're literally in japan, literally wearing traditional japanese clothing, and they translate "obi" into "belt" instead of leaving it as is. am i overestimating how many people would know what an obi is........?
i do think it's a smart and interesting decision to explicitly section the anime into arcs instead of seasons, or rather, you could say, putting season breaks only at arc breaks. very smart.
uzui's own wife calls him tengen-sama? red flag
you know, i did have one major misconception about this story. i thought that the fact that yaiba is in the name would mean that tanjirou would inherit some particular sacred demon-obliterating blade and it would play a major part in the story (a predictable trope). but tanjirou in fact keeps destroying his swords. maybe that will actually happen later. [followup note: it didn't really. i mean tanjirou gets his one good sword later, but it's not like the sword is what wins the fight for him or anything.]
looked at tanjirou and thought "deku" tally: ||||||||||||||||||||||||
this story sure does have a lot of the protagonist's internal monologue. that's somewhat unusual for shounen, i feel like. is tanjirou just conjuring up text boxes all the time in the manga? i guess i'll have to read it after this… for completionism. [followup note: it seems the manga has an unnamed narrator who sometimes chimes in and they excluded that from the anime completely, instead relying on a combination of show-don't-tell and tanjirou narrating instead. not a bad choice.]
nezuko bit through her gag, which was really good, but she didn't immediately start talking, which is what should have happened. to remind us that she can. other demons can talk. [followup note: i see now that she is apparently left in a childlike state and has to relearn talking. ok]
(watches nezuko shrink back from grownup mode) self-infantilizing imouto…
ok, i figured out that the subs are just the lines from the dubs. that means my ire lies with whoever translated the lines for the netflix dubs. that's right, i'm not just gonna excuse it because i was mistaken about the source.
tanjirou looking at ezui and seeing rengoku's head appear next to him is 100% a death flag. his three weed-smoking wives are gonna mourn him at the end of this arc. it's gonna be the start of a pattern of tanjirou getting scarred by the loss of hashira after hashira right in front of him. [followup: glad for tanjirou that this didn't happen.]
by the way, i bet someone out there has something smart to say about uzui's three wives and what they mean for feminism. i don't care to think about it very hard though. but i know someone does.
zenitsu is conveniently asleep for a very long time in this very long battle
the budget for this anime must have been SO high. or the animators were seriously overworked. because there is so much love and so much hard work put into what seems like EVERY single shot. it's incredible. like some of these shots there's no logical need to go so hard but it's just sooo consistent that every shot has to have a life-changing amount of work put into it. i can't get over it.
(after entertainment arc ep9) i said i would be pissed if anything happened to inosuke, and i meant it. we'll see what happens from here. if inosuke dies, i'm not reading the manga. because i'm stubborn.
gyuutaro called tanjirou a bonkler…
this battle was already frustratingly long and now the defeated gyuutaro's dead defeated corpse had to release one last extremely destructive attack? according to what logic?
i like when nezuko has tanjirou on her back for once. reverse sibling onbu
this smells a lot more like hunter x hunter than hero academia or one piece. in terms of the character designs, to some degree, and everyone's penchant for talking a lot, and vibes. and i'm saying "smells" in my own way and not in a tanjirou way, okay?
they have IVs in the taisho era? with saline? i don't know anything about history.
does everyone in the sword village need the hyottoko mask? at all times?
i can tell by the OP of the sword village arc that demons will attack the sword village.
i really like the artistic choice of letting characters emote through their masks if necessary.
this son of a bitch has poison too? isn't this getting old?
i liked the little episode preview where kanroji is asked how she sheaths her sword and the answer is she simply just does. very good
of course even haganezuka turns out to be a hottie (rolls eyes emoji)
i don't want to call out gyokko here, but he could just put muichirou in the water vase again.
kibutsuji looks a lot less laughable without his stupid fucking hat.
so demons started existing because kibutsuji took weird medicine from his doctor?? [followup note: I Guess So.]
i guess i have to give gotouge-sensei credit for really sticking with the gimmick of the whole sword village wearing those masks.
i like genya.
tokitou's soft spot for tanjirou is really cute
i caught up with the anime without writing very much. i'm still blown away by the production value. speaking of blown away, i'm curious as to what happened to 2 of kagaya's 5 apparent daughters. [followup note: they really died.]
[{{{{{{{{caught up with the anime}}}}}}}}]
[{{{{{{{{comments below concern the manga}}}}}}}}]
inosuke lived, so i started reading the manga. i'm struck by the different feeling that tanjirou gives off. manga tanjirou seems a little more serious and less perky. maybe it has to do with the line delivery in the anime shaping my view of him (though the voice actor has done a great job). i did, at the beginning of the anime, get the strong early impression that tanjirou's voice was very "grown man trying hard to do a teen boy voice," and i cringed just a bit. but that feeling faded as the anime went on. i also assume the art style changes a lot as the manga progresses, such that the style resembles the anime's style more in later chapters. the anime seems to have done an amazing job of faithfully and precisely adapting the manga, at least for early chapters. i'm really jealous of the demon slayer anime on behalf of all the great mangas that got weird or lousy anime adaptations.
the babyface style of the early manga is also very strong. even giyuu looks like a little kid.
and genya's face in his first appearance is really funny. he got a glowup for the anime. whereas zenitsu looks 100% the same. i'm looking forward to inosuke's manga face.
i read a lot more of the manga without saying anything. i've gone on and on about the high quality of the anime, but i kind of feel like the manga is better. that is to say, the art feels very authentic and pure and full of love and care. manga tanjirou is just as much of a Very Good Boy as anime tanjirou, but without a certain feeling of Trying Very Hard. is it the voice?
the manga has a kind of Classic feel to it. not like it resembles any particular manga from the past, but more like, gotouge-sensei was aiming high and trying to make something evergreen. trying to forge a new classic.
and reading the manga was shocking because it's like, the anime is truly the most faithful adaptation i've ever seen. every scene feels like it's shot-for-shot-for-shot precisely what was in the manga, with every line carried over. practically nothing was left out. the spacing and timing of content was perfect; nothing was excessively crammed or stretched out. only a few things were added, like the scene with the bento sellers before the train arc (unless that came from some bonus chapter i never saw). but the additions feel normal and necessary. truly a staggeringly faithful and loving adaptation. why did they give demon slayer this exceptional treatment…? because reading the manga, it's like, this is good… but is it life-changingly good enough for them to have gone THIS all-out with the anime? i haven't decided yet. [followup note: i still haven't decided?? i might make future posts about this.]
right, demon slayer is solidly good, i would say, but on the whole, it's not quite For Me. that's because if i evaluate it by my old standby metric, the COCK test, it is decidedly NOT Completely unhinged, and there is a decided lack of Creatures. to be perfectly fair, i'm sure it Offends the church, and it does Kick ass. and really, if someone is just a bit less weirdly picky than me, this manga could change their life. but it's just not batshit insane enough to push all my buttons. i feel some hunter x hunter influence, but obviously hunter x hunter knew how to be insane enough. not that hunter x hunter does it all for me either.
it does get credit for having somewhat deeper and rounder characters than jujutsu kaisen. like at least they have an extremely strong reason to be doing what they're doing.
the manga is self-serious in a genuine way, and the anime feels self-serious in a very slightly phony way. though i don't mean they're overly self-serious. there is welcome comic relief in both. it's better in the manga but still well-translated into the anime (literal translations of the subtitles aside). and the comic relief is actually funny a lot of the time, which is more than i can say about jujutsu kaisen. this has been my obligatory shitting on jujutsu kaisen for the first time in a while. if you missed it, the story is that i gave jujutsu kaisen all the chances in the world for me to love it, but it disappointed me (and killed my favorite character for no reason).
i've been worried this whole time, not having a good sense of exactly how much chapters have been squashed or stretched, about how many chapters would remain after i caught up with the story as far as the anime went. but now i'm just about at the end of the hashira training arc (mansion just blew up) and there are still about 60 chapters left. that's sooo many. i was worried there wouldn't be much story left, but there is! that's good, because there's a lot left to explain.
i have noticed exactly what has been added to the anime adaptation. pretty much everything added was smart and suitable. although the extremely long approach of kibutsuji to kagaya's bedside was i think not so necessary. but yeah, fleshing out the training in the hashira arc a bit, going into slightly more detail on people's backstories, adding a few more character building moments, none of it feels irritating in any way. but if it turns out they added any zenitsu whining moments, that's unforgivable. there are already enough of those.
i bet huge inosuke fans were a little irritated at the casting of his voice. a true ruffian's voice that clashes to the extreme with his pretty face. i think it's pretty apt though. maybe a little too large-adult-sounding. but teenage boys are like that.
i've been reading an unofficial manga translation, not sure who it's by, and it's interesting to note which phrases were left untranslated in this compared to in the official translation. in this unofficial TL, why is oyakata-sama left as such instead of translating it to "master" when it's just a title that plainly means "master?" and in the netflix subs/dubs, why are hashira and hinokami kagura left untranslated? and yet both translated "obi" as either "belt" or "sash" when i think it could have safely been left as is. and why was "nichirin sword" left untranslated in both when you could just call it a sun blade or sun sword? is it because nichirin sounds too cool and japanese?
oh yeah, i kept thinking but kept forgetting to write: it's well known that demons are always eating humans, but we don't see them in the actual act of eating people very often at all. it seems they often like to just kill people, like weasels kill hens. for fun. but we have seem douma in the act of eating people note once but twice.
the unifying backstory of Everyone's family being killed by demons is getting a little old…
ok i remembered one bad thing the anime did. giving us that whole ridiculous nezuko montage when she was exposed to the sun and we thought she was gonna get obliterated. that was reeeally pushing it. trying that hard to fool us is just embarrassing for you.
so ubuyashiki kagaya became a father at the age of 15. no, younger, because kiriya has two (twin?) elder sisters. at least 14.
the two ubuyashiki girls did die… that's not cool… don't use them just to confuse kibutsuji…
zenitsu leveled up? zenitsu can work while awake now? maybe he'll also shut the fuck up?
…
i ended up staying up very, very late and read many dozens of chapters in one night and finished demon slayer. not the best circumstances for properly absorbing the story, but i did it anyway.
i was not prepared for genya to die and i think that should not have happened. we needed to see more of him and his future. i'll say it: it should have been sanemi instead. justice for genya.
i don't think that many hashiras needed to die… especially tokitou-kun didn't need to die so horribly... and i certainly didn't expect sanemi to be one of only 2 hashira survivors.
i guess we're just lucky that inosuke and zenitsu got away with all their limbs intact. limbs were dropping like flies for a while there.
i was satisfied with the reveal of the backstory about the tsugikuni brothers and how yoriichi entrusted his earrings and stuff to tanjirou's ancestral family.
i thought the final reveal that yoriichi's 13th move was all the other moves strung together didn't have an amazing payout in the end… did it? did i miss something big?
there was the Explicit mention, in dialogue, that kanroji and iguro and others may reincarnate happily. i wish gotouge-sensei would have allowed that to happen in the audience's imagination instead of having a timeskip chapter that shows everyone's descendants and reincarnations. it wasn't unbearable, but i didn't like it. also inosuke's descendant didn't go hog wild at all.
after reading the whole manga and no longer fearing spoilers, i finally looked up inosuke's catchphrase. i was very pleased to find out that it is chototsumoushin 猪突猛進, which is an existing four-character compound that includes the kanji for boar and means rushing recklessly (as a boar does). i knew there would be some degree of untranslatable nuance in there! the nuance is that that phrase definitely describes an undesirable act, but inosuke yells it with glee while rushing in recklessly, and that is perfect. it's like yelling "BULL IN A CHINA SHOP!" in the anime, one subtitle translation was "COMIN' THROUGH!" which is a little lifeless and completely missing any boar energy. my favorite translation is "BOAR RUSH!" because it carries the boar energy and makes it seem like he's shouting a move name when he's really just barreling around the hallway. i don't remember if i saw that one in the netflix translation or if it was a fansub. one more version i saw, in an unofficial manga translation, was "pig assault." that one's not a winner. it isn't even the kanji for pig; it's the kanji for boar. also if i had been watching the anime with earbuds it's entirely possible i would have been able to discern what inosuke was saying from the beginning, because i went back and he says it quite clearly, but that doesn't matter now.
i feel a little weird about making a whole long post about something i don't have crazy strong feelings about, but i wrote all this out, so... read my important opinions... sorry for saying "i guess" so much and using so many ellipses...
overall, i wish the ending was less bittersweet (i hate character death, as always) and dislike the timeskip chapter, but i still rate demon slayer (the story itself) as GOOD. that means it is worth watching and reading. there are several slots above GOOD on my personal rating scale, but GOOD isn't bad. it's GOOD. and that's what demon slayer is. someday i will probably rewatch and/or reread, and i'll keep up with the next anime season.
#demon slayer spoilers#kimetsu no yaiba spoilers#this is a liveblog#if demon slayer is your hyperfixation you might not like my frank opinions about it so be warned

Note
i think tengen has such a suave bravado to him and at first you think it's ridiculous yet witty and so very him. but i feel like the more you prod and peel back the layers, it wouldn't actually take too long for him to come around.
actually, i think that's what tengen wan'ts to believe. but he's petrified to even become something akin to his fathers or some of his siblings that were crude to women.
i think through all that brawn, tengen wants someone to hold his calloused hands and look into his tired eyes and take care of him too. therefore words will help him come out of his shell, but i think it'll really be actions through touches almost fleeting that he'll realise he can cure these aching wants and realise his past does not define him because of you/reader.
does this.. make any sense?
- 💐
Ohhhh I love this, I love this, I LOVE this.
I completely agree with you. Tengen’s suavity is absolutely pure bravado — a front. The tricky thing about him, however, is that it’s a facade that comes so naturally to him. I’d even wager that he isn’t fully aware that he’s fronting, at least, not at first. That’s why he’s able to come off so self-assured: he nearly buys his own bullshit. It’s just his particular measure of self preservation — he had to buy into it to survive his environment, and that’s no different than Sanemi’s scars, Muichiro’s memory loss/personality change, or Giyuu’s detachment.
I think it’s only after he meets someone who examines him a little closer, who doesn’t accept what he puts forth at face value, that Tengen begins to question himself. And I think he unravels rather quickly — he’s not dumb by any means. If anything, we’ve seen how good he is at playing people/reading them, but in my mind, he’s never had the occasion to read himself. Once he does, I think he realizes that he has built a wall around himself — only it’s a house of cards, and all it takes is a single flick to topple the entire thing.
I agree with you that he wants someone who can see through the facade, who can take him into their arms and tell him to let go, but I think he will be hella resistant at first to anyone who tries. Again, he’s bought into his own sham for so long, I don’t think he knows quite yet how to pick himself apart. I think you’re exactly right — it will take action for him to fully let you in, and likely a great many actions; Tengen strikes me as someone who expects others to show rather than tell. He might even lash out (not meaning to be overly cruel, but perhaps he projects more than he realizes). I think consistent action is what makes him reevaluate himself and you, and ultimately helps him to accept what he thinks he doesn’t deserve.

Various Anime Boys: Being Told "I love you" For the First Time (Part 4!)
Full disclaimer about this part, this is a partial revision of the first part, I decided to go more in depth with the first few guys I did :) I will continue to revise the rest of the boys I did in the first part <3 Please enjoy!
Featured: Satoru Gojo, Dabi / Touya Todoroki, Giyuu Tomioka
Warnings: Dabi being a bit rude
~ Part 1 ~ ~ Part 2 ~ ~ Part 3 ~ ~ Part 5 ~
Satoru Gojo
(love of my life <3)
“Y/NNNNNNNNN. Let’s go do sooommmeeethinnnnngggg. This is boooooring.” Satoru whined, reclining on your couch.
“You’re the one who decided to come over when you knew damn well I’m working on my thesis, Satoru.” You replied, brows furrowed in concentration as you typed away at your desk. The deadline for your paper was fast approaching and you were stressed, to say the least. That much Satoru could tell.
He stretched himself out, long limbs dangling off the sides of the plush sofa. “Why d’you need to do this stuff anyway? All it does is stress you out n’ keep you away from me.”
You had been friends with Satoru for years now, having met him back when you worked at a cake shop. You had commented on how his spending there would finance your whole university tuition, and it had gone from there.
He was handsome, of course. But also funny, endearing, and so unbearably annoying. But he did have a heart of gold, you had to admit, and a very blunt manner of speaking to say the least. He didn’t mince words when it came to people he didn’t like, and that was something that you admired. He spent so much money on you, too; you couldn’t understand why. Satoru insisted that he was merely giving you what you deserved, but some of the gifts had been of the more sentimental and intimate variety, like the custom made locket necklace he had made for you, when you had mentioned your grandmother had one just like it.
Suffice it to say, you had feelings for him, strong ones. But a small part of you had doubts, which would creep up just when you had mustered the strength to tell him. Satoru Gojo was a beautiful, strapping young man, perfect in nearly every way. How could he ever see you as anything more than a friend?
You snorted. “If I don’t get this in I’ll fail and I’ll have to repeat the whole year, and that’ll set me back. I need to make something of myself, Toru.”
He rolled off the couch and strolled over to your desk, placing his hands on your shoulders. “What if you took a break though? Just for tonight? C’mon, I miss you.”
You looked over your shoulder to see glimmering big blue eyes peering at you, a soft pout on Satoru’s lips. “You’re such a child,” You sighed, but relented for now. After all, he was here and he was doing nothing but distracting you. And a break did sound nice. “Fine. What do you wanna do?” You asked, resting back in your desk chair.
“Something fun.”
“Like…?”
“Iunno, let’s go out! Let’s see what’s playing at the theatre or if they got my favourite cake back in stock at the shop!” He pulled you out of your chair, grinning.
“Oh, of course.” You rolled your eyes, but you did enjoy seeing him smile. He was annoying as hell, but you had to admit…it was kinda cute. You stood, going to grab your keys. “Or, we could go stock up on snacks, find some dumb movies, come back here and stay up til 4 AM.” You suggested with a smile. Satoru’s smile widened and he grasped your hand eagerly.
“Yes! You’re a genius, Y/N! Let’s go!” He started to pull you toward the door.
“Hah, I love you, Satoru, you dork.”
He froze in place, looking back at you with huge eyes. “Wha?”
You blinked. “What?”
“You said you love me.”
“I did?” You looked confused.
“Yeah, you did.” He turned and smooshed your cheeks in his palms. “Do you mean it? You’re not just pulling my leg, are you? ‘Cause that would be beyond cruel, Y/N. I have a heart too, y’know!”
You chewed on your lip, heat rising in your face. You did love him. He was an idiot, but you didn’t want him to be anyone else’s idiot. Slowly you nodded, placing a hand over one of his.
His blue eyes softened and he leaned in, resting his forehead against yours. “Tell me again.” He murmured.
“I love you, Satoru Gojo.” You replied in a whisper, your eyes half-lidded but still locked on his.
Without second thought his lips met yours and he kissed you tenderly, his fingers tucking through your hair. You swore you could hear his heart thudding in his chest. When he pulled away, hesitantly, he smiled and grabbed your hand again.
“Dunno if we’re gonna be watching all too much of the movies,” He said with a wiggle of his brows. “But we can still try, I’m a good multitasker.” He looked back at you, his grin widening. “And, in case it wasn’t obvious, Y/N, I love you, too. I always have.”
Dabi / Touya Todoroki
(I love him sm, he deserved so much better... :( )
You were busy doing your university homework when you heard a tap on your window. Yep, it was 3 AM, about that time. Without hesitation you got up and went to the window, sliding it open.
Hazy blue eyes met yours as booted feet landed on the floor. “Thought you were gonna leave me out here to fuckin’ freeze.” Dabi said, grumbling as he maneuvered his way in.
“I came here as soon as I heard you,” You argued back. Never a thank you from Dabi, even though he had been crashing at your place for the past six months. You both had met almost a year ago, when the League of Villains had crossed your path on your way home from work one night. Their leader, some guy with a hand on his face, wanted to kill you in case you were gonna narc on them, but for some reason, a couple of the others in the group had stopped him. Dabi wouldn't stop staring at you that night.
Since then he'd show up at your place every night around 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. He claimed it was because the cops and heroes would never suspect him to be hiding out in a random civilian's home, but you were somewhat suspicious of the validity of that. After all, he'd said it'd only be for a couple weeks and here you were six months later.
“Is your hot water back on again?” He asked casually, kicking off his boots. “I fuckin’ smell.”
“What kind of trouble did you get up to tonight?” You asked, wrinkling your nose. “You smell like a lawnmower.”
Dabi snorted. “None of your damn business, brat.” His words were harsh but his tone was almost tired. “Is it on again or not?”
You nodded, “Yeah, it's on. Washed the clothes you left the other night, too.”
Once again, not a thank you in sight as he went off to your bathroom, shutting the door behind him. You sighed. What were you doing? Why were you going to all this trouble for someone like him? You could just as easily lock your window and cut him off, but you didn't want to. A part of you felt that he needed someone to help him, be there for him. You could tell it was hard for him to show any sort of emotion other than gruff and bothered…and you could sense he had more pain and heartbreak than most people realized.
You went back to work on your homework, quietly writing away in your notebook. You tried to ignore the sound of the bathroom door opening and Dabi walking down the hallway.
Warm breath fanned across the back of your neck suddenly and you shivered in response.
“Why do you bother with this crap?” Dabi asked, leaning over your shoulder. He smelled like your body wash. You tried to hide the telltale blush growing on your face.
“Counter question. Why are you here, Dabi? It's been six months.”
“You know why, dumbass.”
You turned in your seat. “You're here every night now, you use my shower, sleep on my couch, eat my food, and I don't get any sort of appreciation or even a thank you. I'm harboring a fucking criminal in my apartment and you don't seem to be bothered.”
Dabi raised an eyebrow. “Yknow I could ask the same of you. Why do you keep letting me in, then? Washing my clothes, too, getting me those snacks I told you I like…why do you fuckin seem to care so much?!”
“Because I'm in love with you!” You blurted suddenly, hands balled into fists.
Dabi stood there, stunned. He rubbed the back of his neck. “You really are nuts, then.”
You breathed out a laugh, tears stinging your eyes. Turning back to your work, you tried to focus on your writing again. “Just leave me alone, Dabi.”
“Nah, don't think I will.” A hand slid along your shoulder. “Put that shit away and look at me, for God's sake.”
With a heavy sigh, you did as he said, only to be met with rough lips on yours. A sound of surprise escaped your throat but you melted into the kiss, fingers finding Dabi's damp black hair.
“There's a million places I could hide out,” he said against your mouth. “But I keep coming back here. Something pulls me back every time. I've never felt what love is, brat, but when I think of what it must feel like, I think of you.”
Giyuu Tomioka
(T_T i just wanna hug him and give him the love he deserves)
You had never seen Giyuu smile in the time you had known him. You two were close friends, but time spent with the Water Hashira was quiet and tranquil. You knew it was just the way he was, and didn’t mind it, but you had begun to wonder if he ever smiled at all. In the time that you had known each other, you had formed a deep bond and understanding of one another. It took you a long time to realize that you had feelings for him, but you could never tell him. It would ruin everything you both already had.
You two were returning from a mission one night, battered and exhausted from the fight you had just endured, and were intent on finding some place to sleep for the night. Ubuyashiki’s mansion and the Butterfly Manor were too far away, so it seemed like the only option for you both was to find an inn to rest in for the night, and then you could return properly the next morning.
You both finally found a place to stay for the night, but the owner of the inn charged you two an exorbitant amount of yen to stay. Giyuu huffed and, irritated, paid the man, before leading the way to your room silently. He had been dead silent the whole time you had traveled back, and this time, you were worried. Normally he would ask if you were okay or if you needed anything, but this time he was quiet.
“…Are you serious?” Giyuu asked, to nobody in particular, when he opened the sliding door. Only one futon.
You looked over his shoulder at the room and sighed. You had been looking forward to just going to bed after the hell you two had been through.
Giyuu sighed and ran a callused hand over his face, his blue eyes narrowed.
You glanced at him. “…Giyuu…You take the futon, I can just…figure something else out.”
“No.”
You raised an eyebrow at him, “What?”
“I’m not letting you sleep on the floor after what we just went through. We’ll just have to…sleep together, I suppose.” He looked away quickly, a small blush on his face.
“Sleep together?”
“Not…not like that,” He replied quickly, his face turning from pink to full-blown red. “Just…just sleeping. Beside each other.”
“If you’re okay with that, Giyuu, then I am.” You offered him a small smile, momentarily placing a hand on his arm as you entered the room. He was incredibly tense.
You both bathed first, one at a time, then returned to the room. Giyuu had gone first, and when you came back, he was perched on the futon, his haori and Demon Slayer Corps uniform folded neatly on the floor with his nichirin sword laid atop. He still had his underclothes on, but his torso was bare. You paused, studying his bare back and the various scars that adorned his pale skin. Your heart hurt when you suddenly realized how much Giyuu must have been through. Was that why he was so quiet, and distanced himself from everyone else?
“You’re letting all the cold in,” Giyuu said suddenly, startling you.
“Oh. Right. Sorry…” You quickly shut the sliding door behind you, setting your own clothing down on the floor before crawling under the thick comforter and settling on the futon. It felt heavenly to finally rest your weary, sore muscles.
Giyuu watched you for a moment before following your lead, settling in beside you. His blue eyes scanned your face.
“…What?” You asked, “Did I miss a spot of dirt on my face or something?”
“No,” Giyuu replied, a small tinge of pink rising in his face.
“Giyuu…”
“I’m…going to sleep. Goodnight, Y/N.” He said quietly, starting to roll onto his other side, so he would be facing away from you. You caught him by the arm, however, stopping him.
“…Have you been doing okay, lately? You’re way quieter than usual…I’m getting a bit worried about you.” You told him, your eyes meeting his again.
The Water Hashira sighed, “…I’ve been thinking.”
“About?”
“You.”
“Me?” You looked surprised. “Why?”
“…Because you terrify me.” He replied, and if you hadn’t seen the look on his face you would have thought he was joking.
“…Why?”
“It…doesn’t matter. Let’s just go to sleep, okay.” He sighed, closing his eyes.
Something came over you then. You didn’t know what it was, but you acted without really thinking it through first. Your hands cupped his face and you gently kissed him. It only lasted for a moment, but when you pulled away, Giyuu was looking at you with wide, stunned eyes.
His mouth moved, trying to form words, but nothing came out. “Wha…”He finally gasped out. “Why’d you…”
“…Because I love you, Giyuu. And I didn’t want to say anything because I was worried that it would ruin everything, and I’m sorry if it has, I just couldn’t—” You were cut off by another kiss, one instigated by him this time.
You gazed at him in surprise.
“You terrify me,” Giyuu said, holding your face in his hands. “Because I feel things for you that have been foreign to me for so long. I was…too afraid to say anything.” His lips pulled into a small but genuine smile. The first smile you had ever seen from him.
“I love you, too, Y/N.”
