like its incredible HOW MANY indie animated media is available to watch FOR FREE on YouTube; like thats crazy. I LITERALLY HAVE TO GET PICKY ABOUT WHAT INDIE ANIMATED SHOW I GET INVESTED IN since I only have limited time to watch everything. Thats crazy. And most of it is actually REALLY good. Like better than what Disney has produced the last few years. A mega media corporation thing. Like theres 4 ppl with Wacom Tablets and open toonz and they are making A SHOW. theres ofc also indie studios that are bigger, like spindlehorse and glitch (glitch is so based for advertising other indie animation projects after the fame digital circus got). Speaking of glitch, there are EVEN more indie shows that didnt get advertised in the direct ish video. Like deadsound (love his sauria series and ofc AUTODALE my beloved). and the guy from character design forge is also currently working on the pilot for stormfellers. and Indigo, the cool space series thing. And dont walk alone after dark, THEY MAKE HORROR ANIMATED SHORTFILMS. AND SPEAKING OF HORROR oh god Im so hyped for playground you cant even imagine I love horror animation

Just because I use parentheses and 2nd person pov and love the same concepts of what a time loop can do to a person doesn't mean it's ISAT

I am begging people to be normal about completed fics, and in particular one shots.

I am begging people to stop demanding more from authors, and insisting that one shots need to be longer or have sequels.

I don't think yall understand how many fanfic authors are one more "where's the rest of it?" comment away from throwing out any plans they might have had to continue an idea.

Unless an author like specifically says they might write more for an idea, just-- assume something marked as completed is complete, and respect it as it stands, please.

Alright, so this is basically...an art dump for all the pics i drew when i was trying to draft the ending i wanted my Odile looping Au 'Like a Wheel Ever Turning' which...is not even SLIGHTLY how this fic is going to end now, but while figuring that out i still like draw all this and had to do SOMETHING with it.

So figured I'd post it and be like 'hey! fun Odile looping act 5 boss fight vibes not connected to anything else!' since like...that basic IS what they are at this point lol.

The one cool idea i loved that i think is now FIRMLY ditched is the act 5 boss fight starts when Odile uses wish craft to splinter herself into two halves.

The 'old/current' her that is meant to be her coldly logical side, and a younger 'copy' version, which is meant to be the childish irrational side...that is what's stopping her just shutting down the time loop because she can't figure out how to be happy with her friends leaving.

I mean, if you murder the part of you that WANTS the wish to come true, that's basically a 'get out of time loop free card' right? Right! Totally sound logic!

Yes the 'young' version of her firmly believes that she's real, and also also got memories going up to about age 21, and also that she ought to be in Ka Bue not HERE among these french weirdos.

Also yes again, a 'young' Odile is EXACTLY as unhinged about this as you'd expect a 21 year old to be upon finding out that apparently the 'real' her think murdering her is the correct solution to this problem!

The shift of the fight was meant to have the inverse 'colors' shift from one version to the other by the end, wrapping up with the point where the 'original' Odile is forced to have a heart to heart with the personification of her perceived 'worst' qualities.

Pretty sure the vibes for this ending was a lot more focused on the resolution of having deeply complex feeling about EXPRESSING emotion directly to other people. That along with a side helping of how isolating it is to be perceived as a 'real' adult such that you can't be weak enough to ask anyone for help. Because really if you can't even be that then why are you any different then when you were irritating mess of a youth?

Not saying any of that isn't still present in the story, but like...there is a LOT of other stuff going on, and those themes are now linked into many other ones too, and that's not even TOUCHING on how Loop's been...somewhat complicating my redrafting lol.

...Also I might have drawn/plotted this version before i knew about two-hats lol. THAT also is a factor.

Anyway! Still liked all of these enough to want to do SOMETHING with them, and figured this worked, so i could like map out my thoughts on them, even if i never got to write this.

whereter you create, lurk, cheer or just cry in the corner (most of us have been there lol) every part of the Merlin fandom is always part of our family

even if we have no reason to trend we will always have a reason to celebrate :D

y’all ever stop to think about how lucky the good omens fandom is in terms of fanwork? cuz i do. all the time.

this fandom is overrun with fanart (spanning everything from breathtaking paintings to silly doodles, all of which is wonderful), there’s so much fan fiction, and endless meta analysis to be found.

there’s something so beautiful about watching this vast online community of people come together and just create. the fact that one story has managed to instill creative inspiration into so many people is just so amazing to me.

head in hands, on my freaking knees. the running theme of dopplegangers and other selves in protocol both textually and metatextually is going to send me to an early grave. like. beyond it just being cool as hell, its such an interesting way to take a sequel/side-quel/whatever of a story where even the most minor character has a whole fanbase behind them because yes! we’re all waiting to hear from our faves after so long and here they are! but not really. the voice is the same but the person is not, at what point do you stop being you and start being someone else? is that you?

and ! ☝️ id argue that sam and alice as characters play into this theme because they are both completely different from jon and martin but also exactly the same (sam being very friendly and personable in a way that hides his obsessiveness, alice being loud and sarcastic to hide her loneliness/jealous streak) (also erm. theyre actually canonically south asian and trans this time. win.) (we also get this with gwen (literally a bouchard) and celia (literally from tma)) the whole team is meant to ring the archives alarm without any fire. similar but not the same yknow?

idk man playing with expectations and familiarity like this is so cool to me. like yes ill trust the voice in my computer telling me to dig myself deeper! it sounds like my friend jon!

me and my sisters played Mouthwashing for the first time, and even though I got a ton of spoilers from tumblr this game was still an AMAZING experience. Can you guess who my favorite is??
