Chapter 1

On the eve of Halloween, the smell of sweet sweets drifted in the kitchen of Crown Castle.

Victor: "It's about time to finish baking. Now, take the scones out of the oven."

Ellis: “Miss Kate, let me do it, I don't want you to get burned.”

Kate: "Thank you very much. Ellis, please be careful.”

Ellis: "Hmm. ......Oh, it's baked beautifully."

Victor: "Ahahaha, it’s my secret recipe for scones with extra butter.”

We cheered as we looked at the scones, which were perfectly baked as if they were for sale.

Tomorrow, October 31st, Halloween will come to England, and the city will be bustling.

I was talking with Ellis about whether we could do something for the people of the town.

I decided to hand out scones after learning from Victor.

We don't live in the sunshine, but it shouldn't be a bummer if we do this every now and then.

(.....It's so Ellis to be so friendly and kind to the people of the town that he wants to distribute sweets.)

Victor: "Are you going to distribute this tomorrow?"

Kate: "Yes, I intend to do so."

Victor: "That's very nice. As expected of my kind-hearted Ellis and Kate!"

Ellis: “Victor... You hug is a little bit too strong."

Victor: "Oops, my apologies! My love has overflowed."

Victor: "But be careful of one thing. Tomorrow is 'Night of the Moonbeams'."

Kate: "Night of the Moonbeams…?”

Victor: "Oh, I see. Kate, I haven't told you yet."

Every few years, when Halloween falls on a full or new moon, it is said that the "sin of the cursed will be intensified".

It is also known as "Night of the Moonbeams" because moon flowers bloom to coincide with the festival.

Kate: “Thank you for your concise explanation. So, what actually happens when sin intensifies?'

Victor: "As much as i’d like to tell you, I don't really know what will happen!”

Kate: "Eh?"

Victor: "The last time the Moonbeams Night happened was 20 years ago."

Victor: “Twenty years ago...Most of the children of Clowns weren't even aware that they were cursed, were they?"

Kate: “Yes, that's right. Let's see, Ellis, 20 years ago...”

Ellis: "...I wonder if I'm finally able to speak?"

Kate & Victor: ".............Cute"

Ellis: “...Fufu, both of you are sharing the voices of your hearts.”

Kate: "Oh, I'm sorry. I just...”

Victor: “Ahem. So, to sum it up, tomorrow is your first dangerous night in 20 years."

Victor: “You never know what's going to happen. You have to be back before the moon rises in the sky.”

Ellis and I carry the cooled scones and wrap them one by one.

Kate: “By the way, the decorations in this dining room are amazing...”

Ellis: 'It's a tradition. I help Victor every year."

Ellis muttered something in between the casual conversation.

Ellis: "Is it okay if you come with me…..tomorrow?"

Kate: “Eh…..?”

Ellis: “Aren't you afraid of me, Miss Kate?”

Ellis: "If you're even a little scared, I'll stop being with you."

Ellis: ".....I just want to make you happy, but I don't want to scare you."

(Because you never know what might happen on the Moonbeams Night, right?)

To be honest, I don't know what will happen tomorrow, either.

Kate: “I want to be with you. It's our first Halloween together."

Ellis: “I think I'll just shut up for a bit because you're so cute looking for answers.”

Ellis: "If you know the answer, tell me."

Then, on Halloween day, we headed out into town with our wrapped scones in hand.

It is said that Halloween in the UK lacks excitement, the city is found to be livelier and more buoyant than usual.

An old woman who sells fruit: "Oh, Ellis, little girl. Happy Halloween."

Ellis: "Hello, Anna."

Ellis: "Hey... Trick or Treat?”

An old woman who sells fruit: ".....? Trick or treat?”

Ellis: “Yes, treat. ...Here you go."

An old woman who sells fruit: “Oh my God. ......Are these homemade? Oh roastie, thank you, you two."

Bookshop owner: "Hey, Ellis! Miss Kate! Those are sweeties, aren’t they?"

Bookshop owner: “Well, then, be my guest. Trick or treat!"

Ellis: “Here you go. It's got lots of butter, so it's bound to be good.”

A child dressed as a ghost: "Brother, sister! Trick or Treat!"

Ellis: "Be careful not to fall.... Yes, please."

(Fufu, Ellis is very popular! And everyone seems to be having fun.....)

When the sun began to set, the scones in the basket were empty.

Kate: "Wow... All's gone now. It went by so fast."

Ellis: "Yeah. Oh, that's right."

Ellis: “Miss Kate, do you want to trick-or-treat with…me too?”

Kate: “…Trick or Treat?”

Ellis: "Yes, please. I hid the last one for you."

Kate: "B-but if I get it, I'll get Ellis's share...”

Ellis: "I'm fine. .....If you're happy, that's enough."

Ellis: "Or do you want to play a trick on me?"

Kate: 'O-oh, sweets are good. Thank you."

Ellis: "Fufu, you're welcome."

He puts his own desires aside and always puts other people's feelings first, that's Ellis I know.

To give me the last of the sweets without any hesitation.

Every time I see Ellis like that, I admire his kindness, and then I feel a little lonely.

(I wish I could make you happy, Ellis, instead of just having you do things to me.)

Bar owner: “Ellis, missy! Stop by the tavern. I'll buy you a drink for the scones."

Me and Ellis look up at the sky at the same time.

The sun has just started to tilt, and it seems that there will still be time before the moon appears.

this isnt going to be like... an analysis or anything. definitely not. i feel like i would embarrass myself trying. id probably just say something surface level and meaningless when this episode deserves more

i just wanted to talk about how the episode affected me as a Balloon introject in a DID system

spoilers for inanimate insanity episode 16.

the 16th episode broke me. hell, even the 15th episode had me clawing at my face. just like many people.

but for me it felt like a personal attack on me as an introject. it felt like this episode was testing how well i could do seeing the people i love harmed like that.

in canon, no, Pickle and OJ didnt mean *that* much to me– obviously would be freaked out no matter who this happened to. but in my memory (how i remember my source), OJ was a father figure to me. Pickle helped me through some awful times and is probably my best friend. like a brother to me even. and Nickel was *everything* to me. I loved him so badly to the point i swear that it hurt. i dont remember being as close to him as i wanted to be (and i know that my relationship with my nickel was different than in canon) and it hurt me. and seeing him like that?? seeing OJ like that?? seeing Pickle like that??? i had to take very frequent breaks. every few minutes it felt like i couldnt fucking breathe.

i procrastinated watching 15 and 16 for a while and i feel like i know why now. like an instinct i guess lol. "nooo dont watch it youll have a mental breakdown over your dad and husbanndd"

. thankfully my boyfriend was there, it helped.

but yeah as someone whos pretty source attached to my sources (most of them anyway), the episode fucked me over more than i thought it would. it was an insane coincidence that all of the people i remember having such a close relationship to were the ones who got like.. "erased" or something.. apart from suitcase (i remember him as my qpp)

The Sign Commentary Review Ep 2 part 3 & 4

"Are you filming an MV or what? It’s time for bed." "I was just pondering about something." "Does a person like you have anything to ponder about?" "I have a question that needed an answer." "Oh, you’re quite serious, aren’t you?"

I just really loved all that. It moved me, but this show wouldn't be what it is without the humor. "In the past life, I was probably a rich and kind-hearted man who liked to rescue cows like you from the slaughterhouse." "Asshole. Or you were probably a caring wife who always took a great care of a good-looking hubby like me." "I see. This is what a handsome cow looks like."

They talk about the exam and Phaya wants to know what Tharn plans on doing after he passes. Tharn says he'll do what he always wanted to, but then calls Phaya noisy for asking what that is.

They pass and thank the Captain. My favorite part though was how Khem was left hanging.

No handshake for you. 😂😂😂 We then see Tharn calling his grandmother to tell her that he passed, and the next stop was finding out about his parent's death.

Ahhh, the flirting. I love the way they flirt. It's so cute!

"Tharn. Can I borrow your phone?" "Phone?" "Yeah. That’s my number." "But I didn’t ask." 🤣🤣🤣 "But I want you to have it. Are you stalking me?"

Then Phaya sneaks a picture, and I'm so fucking giddy over this cuteness.

"Why didn’t you tell me first so that I could pose for it?" "You already look nice. I like it." I think I mentioned before that Phaya is not hiding his feelings for Tharn. Tharn is the reserved one, but he seems to be sucked into Phaya's gravitational pull.

Phaya tells Tharn that he is saving his name as Bolster, so a cuddle pillow. 🤣🤣🤣

"Think of it as returning the favor for always helping me." "No need."

Ahhh, these two! Phaya knows that Tharn likes him, and he'll happily move all the obstacles. Alas, the brother interrupts the flirt feast. Ohhh, we get one last flirt before Phaya leaves to pack. "I'll call you. Bolster."

That smile that Tharn gives to Phaya's back. So fucking adorable! Yai noticed it too. AHAHAHA. He picked up on the nickname too. "You like him, don't you?" Which Tharn absolutely refutes in a high, squeaky voice. "He's annoying. Why would I like him?" "Just tell me honestly if you like him. I’m going to help protect him too." Why does he need to protect him??? I think we are going to finally get some much-needed info. "Tharn, I really hope you’d find that someone you like. And be with someone you love." Brother just wants him to have a love like he has with his girl.

"I thought you already know… That if I love someone, that person will die." Well, shit, that's fucking deep. I'm afraid you are already shit out of luck, baby boy. Probably why you see him so much in your visions, cause you fell long ago.

"I don't want anyone to die because of me."

"We have a week to rest before starting our work at the unit. Let’s go party, shall we?" "Yai and I have to go back to Nong Khai province." "You’re from Nong Khai?" The way Phaya says that, I smell a story there. There is something. "So, do we have to go to Nong Khai? You seem interested in him a lot." 🤣🤣🤣 Love it!

I actually really love this next part, but I will apologize for the not so great photo. I tried to get a better one without luck.

Why do I like this? Because it's like a mile marker. You know, like what you see on the roads in the US, that give you an indication of the exit coming up. So by context clues, we know Phaya isn't a player. The opportunity has been there, but he doesn't play. And he's been heavily flirting with Tharn. Okay Luta, what does this mean then? It means he is interested but not yet invested. He is not in love. Which means we should catch when he in fact does fall in love.

Hahah I called it you guys!!!

"Listen, I’m telling you right here... I only have eyes for the one I love."

"If I love anyone… I’ll never…" Anyone else think this was for Tharn's benefit? Especially with the way his eyes cut to him. But then the phone rings. It's a girl, whole calling picture is gorgeous. All the guys but Tharn tease him. Phaya walks off to take the call.

Tharn goes up to the bar to order five beer, and another guest orders next to him. Oat is clearly making a play for Tharn.

Just look at how uncomfortable Tharn looks. Every female knows what this look means in a bar.

I literally fucking cheered at this next part. If I didn't already love Phaya, I love him more.

He really said. Um no, you are not buying my guy a drink. He has taken stamped on him, please take note. I think Tharn would have been appreciative, except he clearly caught the possessiveness. Hence, him shaking Phaya's hand off his shoulder. "Who’s this?" "I’m Oat."

Phaya is an unapologetic asshole and I appreciate that. With claim staked, he swoops Tharn away.

Then Phaya gets talked into going up on stage and singing. My boy is clearly singing to Tharn.

Oh no, not spin the bottle again! Yai is trying to get his ass kicked. He really is. He asked Tharn if he has anyone he likes right now. I love that when he takes the shot, Phaya says, "What a waste." These assholes, said affectionately. "What’s your type? Is it someone around here?" They don't even get a chance to ask anymore. Tharn just starts upending the drinks. Finally, Phaya puts a stop to it. Ahhh, Tharn is so drunk. Now they are moving on to Phaya, but I got news for them, Phaya isn't that easily embarrassed. "If you can pick anyone in this table to go home with you, whom will you choose?"

While Tharn was too drunk to appreciate Phaya's response. I am not, and I appreciated all of it, thank you very much.

When Tharn goes to get sick, Phaya grabs him and takes him to the restroom to help sober him up. He helps him drink some water and then splashes water in his face. Which Tharn clearly didn't appreciate. Not that any drunk person would.

OMG the flirting! Why do I enjoy their flirting so much! "You really like for bugging me." "Get off me." "No. I’m not going to let you go. I’ll hold on to you tight. You, evil jellyfish." "Are you sure? This jellyfish’s sting is very painful. It will go directly to your heart." This is when Tharn starts splashing Phaya, backing him up till his back is against the stall while saying, "The heart, the heart, the heart." "Stop it. You’re like a baby when you’re drunk." Tharn kisses Phaya on the check!!! So cute!!! Which shocks Phaya.

We get some very seductive carcasses after that. I mean, nothing R-rated, but it got my heart beat going. As Tharn runs his hand down Phaya's throat to his chest, he takes note of the necklace that Phaya is wearing. While Tharn is trying to get a closer look, Phaya gives a sweet kiss to the forehead and then asks him what is wrong.

Ahhh! I knew it! They have a past together!!! "Where did you get this necklace from?" "This amulet?" "It’s the same." "Same as what?" "Same as the amulet that I had given to a boy." "You had given a boy an amulet like this? "Yeah." "When? Where? Tell me more about it." "It was when…" "Yes?" "When…" Then Tharn passes out. "Hey, wake up. Talk to me first."

I"m dead. Brother walks in. Almost walks out thinking they are doing something but then when all is sorted has Phaya bent over with Tharn on his back. God, I love Tharn's brother so much.

"Where are you taking me?" "Your place." "Go back and get Yai too. I don’t want to sleep alone." Yup, Yai knows his brother. "I’ll stay with you."

Damn! We're having a whole SCOY reunion. Not complaining. Great actors.  Dr. Chalothorn needs to hurry up and takes his hands off, though. For a boy not yet in love, he sure is jelly.

Ahhh the next previews got me excited! Hurry up and get here. This is so good. Hope you enjoyed the commentary as much as I had fun making it! 💜💜💜

I'm so happy you've responded.. i was kinda afraid that maybe i've said too much.. But i'm happy that you told and shared some of your own worries as well.. But i just wanted to say that i really didn't mean to invalidate all your emotions about them and the mental effort you've put into their connection for years and years.. and i"ll also say that i'm a relatively new fan, so i don't know as much as you. but i've fell in love with their story and started consuming so much of their content becuse of it. And i just can't deny the gravitational pull thay have towards each other.. But what you said about your theory on their scripted content( which i've read all of them) i do see that their is a theme there, i don't really know for sure what it is, but it's not imposable for you to have guessed it perfectly right.. and i don't think it's a coincidence that they always come back to it, knowing how much time and effort they put into it, and how much of over thinkers thay both are. also the "we don't know if people reacted to it in the way we wanted them to" thing they've said.. so it's not by luck, their is a message that they want to send. And as you said, time well tell.

And btw, i also LOVED their old content, for the reasons you've mentioned .. there was somthing so different in there eyes (like they wanted to just.. jump on each other but they can't.. i'm gonna die-😳) especially rhett's lookes he was crazy..( i do see it in his eyes btw, that hunger.. tell this day)

Mab here once again because when im stressed out i end up here re reading fics, and i was reading Cyberpunk because theres just so few jongho fics that evoke such emotion in me and your jongjo fics always hit the spot. The way its just so angsty and how mc almost lost jongho i LOVE it please 😭

BUT, as much as i love reading fics and AUs, i LOVE looking at art (as an “arist” myself) and a WHIIIILE back i had seen this person make a droid au based on the game itself, but the main characters(? Were wooyoung and yeosang. Wooyoung was human and yeosang was the droid and it was just so cute how they formed a friendship and hos yeosang kept learning more and more with woo. Real cute stuff.

And ofc, in this au it wasnt only wooyoung and yeosang, woo was close friends with san. And guess what, San had a droid as well. and guess what, IT WAS JONGHO.

So as i was reading i had to stop and look for this artist on instagram that they go by the @ of kkulxin to verify, but for some reason their page felt empty, AND THEY DELETED SM ART 😭😭

I felt so devastated because, first their art is so cute, and second, it was droid jongho and it fir so perfect 😭😭 i only have this little comic they made when wooyoung met with san and Yeosang and Jongho droids were “forced” to be friends whole woo and san went out

Ibara: It was quite hard work, you know. I had to make use of nearly every connection I have, including His Highness himself, all while doing everything I could to keep costs down…

I thought of how it would appeal to our fans, or even those who would only catch a single glimpse of us at Chocolat Fes.

It truly was hard work creating a product that will give people a strong urge to make a purchase.

Nagisa: … He said hard work twice.

Ibara: It was definitely hard work, but I didn't think of it as labour. There's no other way I can describe it.

The chocolate's quality turned out very high, so I ended up wanting to create a new unit visual to match the design…

I had to squeeze the photoshoot into everyone’s schedules too, so the hard work also extended towards all of you.

Jun: You went as far as to ask Ohii-san's help, and even wanted to do so much extra for it...

You seriously put your whole heart into this...

Hiyori: Right. Even for someone like Ibara, it must have been unbelievably hard work preparing everything to this extent.

I did find myself wondering if we'd actually manage to pull all this off.

It seems that this time around you were able to completely avoid it, but were you ever tempted to use COMP's budget for this?

Ibara: I made the decision to take total ownership of this project; it will be planned and implemented by me, for Eden.

There is significance to doing it with my own power. Plus, I couldn't accept it if I didn't. I also wished to convince you all by doing it this way.

Jun: …

Ibara: This is the sort of the victory that I seek.

Bringing Eden—and myself—to the top with my own two hands… was both my desire and ambition. I had already forgotten about that budget long ago.

Of course, I have every intention to make full use of the remaining COMP budget in the future! Ahahaha ⁠☆

D.I.N. — Up (2023): I’ve hyped this album up like endlessly this year because they are one of my favorite recent bands and I want them to get more recognition, but I’ve extra been replaying this album the last month or so because 1. The story I told earlier this month of hearing them come on before a concert on acid and how fucking transcendent and exciting that was 2. I JUST got to see them again last week and they put on suuuch a good show. They are also absolute sweethearts IRL. Song rec: “Try” or “Up.”

Foetus — Nail (1985): LOL ok normie rivethead answer sorry; I’ve loved Foetus for fucking forever but I’ve been revisiting his work recently coinciding with my Venture Bros rewatch to be entirely honest ahahaha. Anyway it’s a cold take I know but goddamn this album is a fucking masterpiece. Despite being an industrial legend I feel like Thirlwell does not get NEARLY enough acknowledgment for how absolutely incredible his work is, the merging of the orchestral-minded compositions and theatricality with his dirty nasty industrial sentimentality is just perfect. Song rec: “The Throne of Agony” or “Descent into the Inferno.”

cEvin Key — Resonance (2021): Whew I kinda slept on this when it first released! I mean, I checked it out and enjoyed it, but it’s taken me a few years to actually sit down with it and fully appreciate how masterful this whole thing is. It’s really lovely, cEvin’s solo work is hiiiiighly underrated and this album has some amazing guest spots. I’ve been having a rough time sleeping recently and just putting it on and laying there with it on repeat has been super comforting tbh. Song rec: “Night Flower” (Edward Ka-Spel vocals) or “Anger is an Acid” (Chris Corner vocals).

Stephen Mallinder — tick tick tick (2022): Uh oh, me and Angel have the same album on our lists. Almost like we live together or something 🙈🙉🙊 For real though, this album is INCREDIBLE. Definitely one of my top favorites of the entirety of last year, maybe even my number one. This month was the anniversary of its release so I’ve been revisiting it a bunch. After so many years Mallinder continues to put out unique, experimental, interesting electronic music that stands out amongst everything else. This album has a very psychedelic, dreamy, transcendent feel to it without losing any danceability. Perfect for fucking, tripping at the beach, long car rides in the city at night, etc. Song rec: “Hush” or “ringdropp.”

Oh, I will happily oblige, but it's a bit vague and it's more just that I think they'd be a good match for each other. Of course, they never met in canon, so it requires an AU. We talked a little bit in comments here about an AU of mine where Zandeh getting temporarily blinded is the catalyst for Hilmes eventually realising he fucked up and needs to save Irina — Sam is the one he sends to do that.

Originally, it was going to follow canon in that Militsa, heavily wounded, would send her sister to safety but remain in Akleia to buy them as much time as possible to escape, with the main change being Hilmes actively deciding to prioritise saving Irina and the two of them reuniting earlier, but then I thought... does Militsa really need to die? Sam knows he is being sent there to save the woman Hilmes loves, and neither he nor Hilmes believes that Militsa would leave her country and her men after holding out for so long, but Hilmes did say 'if possible, save them both' (for Irina's sake, really) and so Sam decides to try.

His approach is by sea, and coincides with the fall of Akleia. When Militsa says "I cannot go with you" and he sees the arrow lodged deep in her back, he hesitates, but then tells her that he himself has survived worse wounds than that, and that she should not let her men give their lives in vain. In truth, he's doubtful that she will live, though he does not let that show. Her courage and leadership are enough to make him feel determined to try, and even on the verge of losing consciousness, it's her ploy that allows them to escape, by ordering that the Maryamian warship, laden with treasures, is used to distract their Lusitanian pursuers so they can flee to safety on the Parsian vessel instead.

Militsa does survive, against the odds, and Sam's respect for her grows. And then feelings begin to grow too. It's a surprise to him, as I don't think he expected to experience love again at this point, but he believes that nothing will come of it and doesn't intend to act on it. Militsa, on the other hand... Let's just say she takes the initiative.

As I said, I just think they'd be a good fit for each other. They are both determined to do their utmost for their respective countries. Militsa's values align with Sam's; he can confide in her about matters that he would speak of to no other person, and she shares his determination that Hilmes must rid Pars of the Lusitanians and, in time, retake Maryam and become a good ruler of both countries. Militsa is Sam's equal, and their relationship is based on trust and respect mixed with a strong and mutual attraction that began forming on the journey back to Pars, while Militsa was recovering from her wounds.

Miyadate: I also like Shota’s lifestyle. I’m the type to quickly collect stuff I like so the house has quite a number of things but, according to what I heard, Shota doesn’t leave things around in his house, and things are arranged simply. I think that the part of him that gets absorbed in one thing he “likes” is good.

Alright so I know I'm a month late to this Art Summary thing, but I'm Vietnamese, and we don't consider the year to end until Lunar New Year (which in here we call Tết holiday). And today, is in fact, the true last day of 2022.

The pic in January feels like years ago actually. I felt like I'm a completely different person compared to back then, both in art and in life. As in, a more skilled and mature person (i hope?), but also beaten up and without all the high hopes and energy that I used to have. I guess it's a funny coincidence that I ended the year with that artwork depicting that particular scene in Truyện Kiều (The Tales of Kieu). She's beautiful, singing songs and citing poems, but in a whorehouse, trapped and melancholic. Well, I can't compare my life to hers. But I'm at that stage of life where it might seem like everything is doing ok but the ground under my feet is rumbling and cracking but no one else can see it.

I feel like "I have been getting it wrong, Father", quote Fleabag, and that probably reflected in my art a bit. At this point I'm just living for that momentary trance / manic / whatever you wanna call it that art is capable of sometimes putting you in.

I might sound all sad and shit and, well yes I am crying and basically a pink fur ball of anxiety as I write this, but I will be relatively fine. So, in order to remind myself of all the good shits that happened despite it all, I'll put a list of them under the cut. Mindful and all that shit, yeah?

No expectation or wish for the next year for me.

I still don't make much money, with only 1-2 commissions/month, and most months without any order. Visited the MOCA in Bangkok and reignites the love I have for art.

Realized I am asexual and it was extremely freeing. I thought lewd thoughts more than I have ever been because of that ahahaha XD

Got really good at making mods of the Cyberpunk 2077 game and I'm really proud of my works.

Finally got to treat one of the health problems that have been plaguing me for years.

Had some really fun hangout with my dear friend over a drink at small, low-key pubs. She used to refuse to even touch a drop of alcohol because all her experiences with it left too at an impression. Now she drinks for me if I can't finish my cocktail.

I bought 2 traditional dresses and I love them dearly.

Busted a bitch's fake ass for stealing art. That was fun because no one even realized the extend to how shameless that shithead was. But even then, I still have no hate ask, that is kinda a bummer tho lol.

I talked more to my classmates and even though I still don't really vibe with them that much, I appreciate them more now.

Starred in an indie movie. Wasn't a particularly fun thing the whole time, but it was an experience nevertheless.
