Oh Anon. You could not have sent this ask to a more perfect person. (Actually, maybe @illgetmerope, who is a wizard of assigning people dog breeds, and actually assisted me with this answer.)

In any case, this is a very pro-dog blog and we love assigning our faves breeds.

For Aaron, the answer is a pit bull-husky mix, otherwise known as a “pitsky.” These were my top two choices separately before I found out about the blend. Basically, my reasoning is that pit bulls are misunderstood as being violent while actually being softies who are amazing with kids — not unlike Aaron — while huskies are incredibly smart and sulky as hell if you don’t keep them mentally stimulated. They also have gorgeous blue eyes and usually a to-die-for coat that comes in blacks and whites and greys. (AKA the Aaron Dingle uniform.)

(Dog Aaron is not impressed.)

As for Robert, well, he would be a Brittany, which is this amazing breed of birding dog that is very very smart and tends to get up to mischief — especially if left alone because they do not handle boredom well. (LOL.) Part of this is because they’re curious and independent and require a lot of mental stimulation. They can also be quite playful with the people they love. (AKA Robert Sugden.) Other fun traits involve loyalty, and being active and family oriented, something that manifests itself in preferring to do things with their favourite people. (Read: Only Aaron.)

Also I thought the colouring, while not exact, hit a lot of important notes.
