Scout - dystopian! I love everything about it. the first time I read it, I went down a rabbit hole, it was bad. (I’m still very much obsessed) it’s currently on hiatus, but I still come back to it every now and then (Gage & E <33) -> @/anya-dev

ok so like. originally seán made a game about the egos that was so successfull that a company that makes movies approached him with an offer to make a movie based on his game

BUT

we all know what seán is doing to these characters now, the anomaly found video and the comics are just the tip of the iceberg. so, let's revamp the actor au!!

(backstory, info about the actors and some headcanons under the cut)

before we properly start: seán is friends with a guy named antony; they started to talk when "jacksepticeye" was created, antony used to help him with some of the editing. so, in this universe, antony was one of the editors along with alice

seán always discussed this story with his editors, and antony was the one that really motivated, gave new stories, reasons, showed how he could make it better, and act better as well!! he's an actor too :]

so, when seán (i'm repeating his name too much sorry) started to change the route of the story and said he wanted something more serious, antony (and a team, ofc) helped him develop Anomaly Found. and for all his help and ideas, seán asked his friend to portray anti from now on. and antony couldn't be more honoured

so, anomaly found happens! seán's chase here like irl. and the comics come out, and much more stuff, etc etc. to give the egos an ending, he decides to make it a movie, but since he couldn't like. act as 5 dudes and at the same time help with production, he decided to hire actors!

Seán and Antony were the ones to make the auditions, and they both wanted actors that could bring their experiences and thoughts into the characters

bc of that, Elias' german (but not a doctor, that'd be asking too much), George's mute and Patrick's autistic

Elias is very good at acting as Henrik, but he's not like him in the slightest. he's the youngest of the crew and a big jokester

despite that, he loves Henrik to bits! he's always doing lives and videos like "henrik answers your questions" while they're filming

this is Ryan's first big budget movie, and he's kinda nervous about it

different from Chase, he isn't married and honestly hates alcohool. when asked, he usually says "so is anyone interested in being my stacy? aside from the divorce and well. the horrors"

Elias jokes he's much more like initial Chase (he watched all the videos about the egos, even if Seán said it's not necessary bc a lot changed) and Ryan's much more like fanon Henrik

Patrick and Ryan are the most serious of the crew, it's hard to get a smile out of them. that doesn't mean they don't enjoy the movie or their company, ofc!

Antony's a dad! his son plays as Chase's kid bc it was the only kid that wasn't scared of Anti's makeup (and the antiaverage shippers of this universe enjoy this fact a lot)

Oliver and George are the ones who unintentionally spoil the most

Oliver looovees to talk and read about Marvin shipps. he's feeding the marvelsepticeye shippers very well!

Patrick on the other side isn't very happy in joining his shenanigans lol

George is a modern man, he loves his cellphone and his bluetooth earphones, so acting as Jameson (a man from 1920s) was a bit of a challenge to him, but he loves challenges!

he's very vocal about ableism towards mute people. and also very vocal about jj's sexual life

if they ever went to buzzfeed to promote the movie, Patrick would loooove the puppy interviews and George and Elias would loooove the "[x] reads thirst tweets"

Just curious! Is there something in specific you don't like about Harper or is it just in general?

(My only propaganda on the topic is that I love the idea of not having to think.. Hypnosis and aphrodisiacs and stuff are fun to play with for me especially when subjecting my PCs to things... and the aesthetics of those can be cool to mess with when drawing I think! But also that type of thing is obviously not for everyone lol! (I don't like doctors much so it took me a bit to warm up to them tbh))

It’s mainly the hypnosis thing, I think 😭 It’s not a feature I’ve explored much in DOL & the only times I’ve gained hypnosis traits have been a long lasting hindrance that annoy me due to the lack of control 😭

In theory, I love the idea of giving up control & aphrodisiacs can be so fun in that game (the plants, robin landfill scene ((not fun per se but. YK!!)) But Harper and hypnosis in general always seem to come at the most inopportune times </3 I’m real picky when it comes to my PCs, and the situations that they go thru (which is ironic considering the whole game is noncon and the point of it is to put them in unfortunate situations)

BUT if I’m going to get my PC hypnotized, drugged, kidnapped I want it to be on my terms </3. I can relate this to the Kylar kidnapping event for better explanation!!!

I love Kylar. But I have to be in a certain mindset when it happens </3 If they capture me out of the blue while I’m grinding levels or some shit i get so annoyed bc it feels like a waste of my time and it’s not what I’m playing for at the moment. It’s an annoyance that I have to escape from to continue doing what I want to be doing. Same goes for the soft bad ends (Remy’s farm, the asylum, etc) Sometimes I want to be a little mindless cow :3 Getting milked n praised for being the best!!! Or is he just removed from the sport as much as possible, does some entirely other normal job before he meets VK and after he does, very logically decides that since VK mints millions already, there's no reason for him to work anymore, VK can provide him everything.

Awww okay, so I feel VK looovees children, and he's very sad he can't have kids of his own, and he kinda feels guilty for snatching away Patty's opportunity to have babies from him. That's when Patty consoles him and tells him they can adopt kids. You think Shub and Yash are adopted? Or they are born via a surrogate?

Also, other alphas will keep trying to make Pat suspicious of VK like, "Oh he's always away on tours with other alphas, like as not he's sleeping with one of them on the side." And the same for VK like, "Oh honey, you're away from home so long, do you really expect an alpha to stay alone during all those months? He must be having someone over while you're gone, he's just too kind to tell it to you."

And Shubman and Yashasvi might get bullied for their unconventional family dynamics at school. Imagine baby Yash just coming home, howling, and when Patty asks him what's wrong, he sobs, "Why does VK never come to pick us up from school, or come to our PTA meetings? Everyone else's omega parents do that!"

Yeah I was thinking that rather than making it through his injuries they stop him from going pro. Maybe he disconnects himself from the game, does something totally different, and he ends up meeting VK when Marshy invites him along to watch a test match?

I think whatever it is he’s doing he’s just doing to pay the bills, so when VK comes into his life he doesn’t have to do that any more. Plus VK is very likely going to want his alpha with him and honestly I don’t think Pat is gonna complain about that. Then when they have the kids it just makes sense for Pat to be a stay at home dad.

If they do surrogate they would be Pat’s biologically. There is no way VK can surrogate or be part of the process. So if you’re happy for that they can surrogate, but I can also see VK maybe going back to India to do a charity appearance or something at an orphanage and his heart just breaking.

Yeah, I can see that being done without malice. Like the alphas just assume becuase he’s such a bit time omega he’d totally be painting the scene whilst he’s away. And the alphas that play with VK would very much be like “no way you’re keeping an alpha pinned down when you’re never home.”

theo is veryy much the snobby rich girl type. she's callous and honestly unlikable. also moved to hawkins before freshman year and was quickly taken in by the steve-carol-tommy friend group. but by s1 she's thrown out of the friend group bc she cheated on steve (but her brother stays friends w them and it gets very complicated) . it's through her family dynamics that you realize oh. there's a reason she's like this.

so. she's brenner's daughter, but was raised pretty much like any other normal kid. she has very complicated relationships with both her parents. w her father you have this immense pressure to be excepcional (bc if she has no powers she at the very least has to be academically talented) and to set an example to her younger brother. she's her mother's (and siblings) emotional support. from a very young age she was basically treated as a mini adult and a pseudo-parent. out of her siblings she's definitely the toughest and becomes her mother's and brother's biggest defender once they end up involved with will's disappearence.

really, i think flora would probably get along better with theo’s twin, nell. flora and theo definitely wouldn’t get along, at least at the start. flora hates the ‘popular’ group since she was kinda of bullied for being the ‘weird quiet new girl’; so even though theo got kicked out, flora would assume the vibes are still there, the attitude. hell, flora only ever even went to one high school party. they definitely clash in a lot of aspects.

i could maybe see them getting along later on, a kind of ‘oh, your dad sucks? my dad sucks!’, recognition-of-one’s-self-in-another situation. also the complicated relationships with their mothers? aAAAaAaAAaaaa. girls who feel older than their actual ages, who feel responsible for their respective ‘siblings’ (theo’s actual siblings vs flora’s pseudo-siblings), tough girls who shouldn’t have to be tough but don’t have a choice anymore.

also caroline and flora’s mom, alice, should hang out actually. hawkins’ resident hot repressed mothers with sh*tty ex-husbands (joyce come join too).

coquette things that improve my mental health

having a simple and effective skincare routine. I don't think anyone really needs a whole cabinet full of products, especially since they go bad so easily. I like having just the basic things that I know are effective and gentle on my skin. a makeup remover (if you wear it that is), a face wash, a lotion or oil, and an SPF. all unscented.

a hobby that gets me out of the house. I love to bring my guitar out to the forest and practice by the little river, or read gothic horror books at the beach, roller skating is also a great option, so is photography, or painting/drawing outside (I do this one a lot when I have anxiety and it really helps me.)

indulging in things my younger self loved. I don't really have much childhood nostalgia, but I have a lot of stuff younger me was embarrassed about liking that I still really love. I think it's important to stay connected to the things that have always brought you joy, for me that's watching old romantic movies, having sleepovers with lots of snacks, talking abt our crushes and S/Os, and video games, making videos, getting some ice cream with my bff or bf, exploring the forest with friends, playing around at the beach, and having a few cute little stuffed animals to cuddle with. basically allow yourself to enjoy things without judgment.

creating a relaxing and serene space for myself. I used to looovee seeing ppls coquette bedrooms back in 2016 and still do hehe. creating a calm + clean environment for myself helps me deal with being frequently overwhelmed and other difficult emotions like anxiety. designing my room has been so much fun for myself and doing things like painting and decorating mason jars and other little bedroom accessories helps me get back into my body. instead of having a super curated aesthetic I just like to pick a few colors and fill the space with things I love + use all the time.

Venti’s the best unit in the game! He’s got such a huge grouping cortex as his elemental burst that he simply trivializes the game for you.

It’s funny, because whenever Venti hears you fawn over his capabilities as a fallen archon, he can’t help but reminisce before he had this power. In fact, the storm eye that he summons has been carefully crafted for you.

Venti has never devoted himself to a fight, at least not by his own will- so he actually had no offensive skills until you came around. He couldn’t be a deadweight to your team, so he practiced in secret with dvalin, making small storms and musical gusts of wind that he thought that you’d like. He’s actually been incredibly excited for your arrival to his word- his ties to celestia give him a little bit of insider information, you see.

All of this practicing began a long time ago when celestia began stirring with far more life than he could ever be comfortable with. He knew that someone- no, something is visiting teyvat. If someone can stir up the lofty palaces of celestia, he should be on his best behavior- and he’s scared.

The last time he saw the gates of celestia open was hundreds of years ago, 500 years to be precise- and he can’t bear to think that such a thing could happen again. It’s different now, he’s stronger, he can do something now, whether he needs to fight for or against whatever is coming to teyvat. He’ll defend Mondstadt’s freedom first and foremost, so he readies his bow and steels his nerves when the clamor from celestia stops.

He’s on edge, his heart’s racing, and his heart quite literally skips a beat when he first sees you. You’re absolutely breathtaking and he can’t help but admire your beauty while his heart takes its time to start up again. He feels like a fool to have his bow out or to even have any signs of hostility towards you, so he lets his bow disappear and watches you enter his world.

He’s so excited until dvalin suddenly acts up- he’s love to talk to you, but he needs to help dvalin. Lately he’s been attacking mondstadt, and he can’t have that. He quickly hurried to soothe his dragon friend and made a mental note to spread songs of your beauty around the town. He used a shard of his power to begin healing dvalin when some otherworldly traveler interrupted him and scared his friend away.

He was ready to yell at the traveler who botched his whole plan to easily save his friend when he saw you behind the traveler, guiding them along. He panicked and immediately ran away- he couldn’t face you like this, he was tainted from dvalin’s backlash. He quickly escaped from the scene and ran back to Mondstadt.

You were immediately stunned by the little green boy’s appearance. He was charming and mysterious thanks to that incident with the dragon, so you pressed the traveler onwards to look for them again. Where could he have gone? He stands out and he’s in the story, so he might even be playable.

You continue through the mundane story quests until you reach the acting grandmaster’s office- and you’re prompted that wishing has been unlocked. Oh boy, the gacha system… but guess who’s on the banner! That cute boy from earlier- his name is Venti, actually. You’ll do a ten pull, after all, the game handed you so many free fates.

Venti has been called to your presence when he suddenly finds himself in front of you, staring right in front of you.

“Woahhhh! He’s so cute! Is this what they call beginners luck?” You cheer and spin around your very first five star.

“He’s gonna be my super favorite forever!” You proclaimed and the poor bard couldn’t understand what he just heard. The being from another world likes him? The one with ethereal beauty and apparently enough control to even summon an archon before them?

He’s trying to process it all until he feels you guide him around the town of Mondstadt, it feels so much different under your control-

We’re you a being above celestia? He would be sure to visit the old man Morax to learn more about you when he could. He simply asked around the town about dvalin thanks to you, and easily ended up saving his friend before the day was over. You had logged off, and venti was flying to Liyue to ask questions.

What he didn’t expect, was for Morax to tell him that the person he just met wasn’t just from celestia, but above it- from another place that they couldn’t comprehend, but they created their Teyvat, celestia, and everything that they could think of. To say that Morax’s jaw dropped when he heard Venti boast about being this new diety’s “super favorite forever” was an understatement.

The diety of teyvat and more? Focusing on a useless drunkard like Venti? He couldn’t understand. Zhongli (Morax) is so sure that you’ll move on from him in mere moments. He recomposes himself and sends his friend on his way back home and sits down to process his diety in his world.

You however, never gave up on Venti and built him as best as you could. The perfect bow, leveling him up as much as you could, you loved him! And he loved you- so much so that he loved all the attention you would give him. He could beat anything and everything the world had to throw at him thanks to your powers, he was quite addicted to your attention.

You never stopped loving him, even as you guided the traveler through the nations, you never swayed your affection for him over the course of over a year- mostly thanks to Venti’s status as an ex archon- nobody could try to stop him from keeping you to himself. Even the archons were dissuaded by seeing your devotion to him, and the two of you would continue to fight through Teyvat and hear its stories.

You love him just as much as you did the first day you saw him.
