Headcanon time! Since I finally remembered to draw something for one

Whenever Dust isn't well and is just staying in bed, Horror brings him tomato soup. It's close enough to ketchup that it's kinda comforting for him but also just different enough that it doesn't make him spiral into thinking about his past.

In return, whenever Horror is holed up sick in bed, Dust makes him toast. It's the only thing he really knows how to make without burning it but toast is Horror's comfort food so he's always happy for it.

i find shima believing his behavior around mitsumi to be part of his facade so interesting bc like. his M.O. wrt kindness is typically far more detached, no? he's not going out of his way to explicitly befriend everyone, he's not trying to include them in every conversation, he's not alluding to them hanging out (in group settings mind you!!) being like a date, etc etc... its crazy that he can do all those things and still be so blinded by self-loathing.

i think theres also something to be said about how he can so easily take mitsumi's word as gospel when they break up and then proceed to not really. trust that her reasons for liking him are genuine as well. let's dissect this guy like a frog.

??? sanemi still having a picture of his family all together (he cut out kyogo) and like. keeping it in his house. and genya coming over because gyomei forced sanemi to make them bond and sanemi leaving for, like, two seconds to find a wooden katana to beat genya up with only to find genya practically sobbing over the picture (he didn’t have any and it’s the first time he’s seen his family in years and there’s young sanemi hugging genya and—)… sanemi def kicked him out, snatching the picture back protectively and slamming the door on him
