I should be doing the RRL’s for my thesis and preparing for the oral defense rn but God damn am i brain rotting so hard rn. I still have all the brainrots i had from days ago and even new ones (I’m too hyperfixated on Al Ahmar and the Goddess of Flowers rn that all i can think about is the angst ) haunting me 24/7. I think he'd even start to think that the reader finally caught up to the rumors and gossips, succumbed to the discrimination and started replacing him with the forest scholars oof the betrayal, the pain - confrontation with him as the student is FAR more aggressive than the slow burn on the original setup.

This was literally one of them, because I really thought that at the end of the story when the reader lost their memories, it meant that their whole memories of their time with Cyno.

But since I hadn’t thought of the half heart situation at that time, instead of him aggressively asking the reader, I just imagined that even though he wanted to approach the reader he couldn’t, for fear of hurting them again and the memories of their barely breathing body bloodied up inside the ruins would always haunt him.

The day of the accident, being the day he could confidently say was the day his life just basically fell apart, as from that day onward he lost the only person who made him feel loved and cared, the only person in the akademiya who was his pillar and his light against the dark gazes of the other scholars, but now all that was left now is someone who looks at him in distain for being a child born from the dessert

So even if it pained him he just slowly watched as the reader turn like everyone in the akademiya, leaving him all alone which wouldn’t be much of a difference from before he met the reader, but now there will forever be a hole in his heart (Ironically) where he could only fill it up with guilt for not being enough to protect them.

Bonus: Cyno would still be protective of the reader who even now unknowingly still has his beaten up heart in their grasps. That no matter how reader of today has changed to one who has turned to hate him, hate him all they want but that won’t change how his heart would only belong to them and only them. He would also occasionally visit them at night like how he visits collei, passing by just to check if they’re safe and sound and if there isn’t danger lurking near their home.

I’d love to add more to this brainrot but rn my brain is currently dead and I’m still gonna proceed to murder it further since I have yet to finish the thesis.

But ugh. Yeah. The bit I mentioned of the EC was that Nora's account of Kayleigh's death goes something like this: Tetsuji was pushing her to send Kevin to Evermore early, she says no, and in an unrelated conversation she mentions that Tetsuji is Kevin's legal guardian. Tetsuji calls Kengo to bitch about all of this and how it's just So Hard to DIY a cult and two days later Kayleigh's dead. But what really made me Go Insane is that after this, Tetsuji REFUSES to speak with Kengo FOR YEARS.

So I fully believe that while Tetsuji doesn't even think of blaming himself for what happened, he blames Kayleigh for being so difficult and he blames Kengo for being so harsh. But most of all he blames Kevin for being the reason she was killed. When I was talking to @queer-lovebot about this I likened Tetsuji's view of Kevin to a father who blames his child when the mother dies at childbirth. And I think that every piece of his treatment of Kevin comes from the fact that Tetsuji resents his very existence. Kevin is a constant reminder that Tetsuji's dream of the perfect court was what cost him Kayleigh. (oh Mr. Moriyama you are never getting away from the sound of the woman that loves you...)

And yeah, I also like the interpretation of his feelings for her as romantic because a) I am a notorious and unashamed fan of psychosexual obsession. And b) I think she was the first person who got glose to truly seeing him and the exhilaration of that made him feel like they were Literally Soulmates. And I don't mean it in a Nice Guy or like even cutesy way I mean this man has a psyche alike to Mr. Heatcliff Heatcliff.

AND FURTHERMORE. Not only is the way Riko sees Kevin similar to how Tetsuji saw Kayleigh, but I think Riko's ultimate dream was to be able to do to him what Tetsuji did to her. Kayleigh's dead, sure, but all that means is that Tetsuji can truly and fully own her now. He martyred her, he preserved her in amber for time to never taint again. She's not here to fight back anymore, to contradict the perfect idol of her he built in his mind. He controls what happens to her legacy, to her image, to her son. He can reduce her to a name on an award and keep the memory of who she was all to himself. He tries to erase her from history not as an act of revenge but out of jealousy, of a want to gatekeep Kayleigh from the world, from the life that she chose over him.

wow ,  just  wow.        as  of  october  7th ,  2020  it  has  officially  been   one  year   since  i  launched  jackie’s  original  blog.  now ,  her  concept  as  a  whole  began  much ,  much  earlier.  july  23rd ,  2019  to  be  exact.  i  knew  i  wanted  to  delve  into  the  world  of  stephen  king ,  i  knew  that  i  wanted  to  do  something  different ,  i  knew  that  i  wanted  to  take  a  novel  that  i’d  always  loved  with  characters  i  always  loved ,  &  give  them  life  through  someone  else’s  story.  ariel  “ jackie ”  torrance  was  the  product  of  that.  i   did  not   ever  think  i’d  get  off  the  ground  with  her ,  as  she’s  a  female  original  character  &  the  rpc  can  be . . .  well ,  the  rpc.  but  thanks  to  some  pretty  awesome  people ,  she’s  taken  on  such  a  life  of  her  own  with  eight  original  arcs  spanning  four  decades  of  her  life.  she  has  such  a  detailed  biography  that  only  writing  out   five   of  those  has  the  word  count  at  just  over  6,000  words.

Trea’s lore is very very........ VERY VERY deep... it would be impossible to make a story that encompasses literally All that it is because it’s literally been built up since I met Chase in 8th grade and it is our Literal Brainchild. 

But it serves as a good backdrop for everything. It ties into Trea - it was where the story was SET in Siren - it’s where the comic Chase is working on takes place too. 

I’m not saying that it will be tied to everything (like there isn’t really any connection to be made in LoveBot) just saying no one should be surprised when it comes up lmfao

CSA survivor here! “What AO3 has is not “literal child porn”. A “literal child” is not being abused or assaulted. Also, “CP” is the wrong term to use in multiple ways. On a real life application, the proper term is “CSAM” - child sexual abuse material. “CP” makes our trauma and abuse sound like just another porn category, a consensual thing, but it’s not. But CSAM is only for actual real life children, because that’s the problem with CSAM and why it is illegal in the U.S.A. - real life children are being harmed and affected. People writing fictional stories is nowhere near comparable to that trauma and suffering. If literal CSAM was being posted on AO3, then they would take the appropriate steps and remove it, because that is illegal. Written fiction, however, is not illegal, as it does not intrinsically harm an actual human being. Thus, it stays on the site. There are other issues as well, such as the censoring this would be difficult and make no one actually happy, which I’ve mentioned before in other discussions: “And the reason they don’t censor is because… Art, fiction, that’s all very subjective. Where’s the line between a NSFW smut fic to a serious tale? Will two people look at the same fic and come away with different responses, different ideas of where it crossed a line? The answer is often yes. We only have to look at the discussion happening around fanfic and “pedophilia”. Even Catra Lovebot up there had to clarify that she wasn’t referring to a 17 and a 18 year old getting together. She had to clarify, because these days, when someone in fandom tries to go “that person is a p/edo”, a lot of people now have to ask “Did that person actually harm a real life human, or is it just more dumb shipping nonsense?” If that word has now become so watered down and worthless because of people with so many differing ideas, well…. Figuring out a line between “Serious ™” fic and “horny” fic will also be an issue.” And there’s the problem. What if it’s a serious story? What if it’s horror? What if it’s a survivor working out their emotions? What if it’s some long lived or immortal entity that just happens to look young? What if they are just a regular adult who happens to look young because of genetics or a disease, and the writer wants to explore that aspect of them? Those are all questions one would have to take in mind when considering this course of action. AO3, like the solution or not, did think heavily on this, and they decided the best course of action was to make their line the USA law. And, again, like it or not, the USA law says that written fictional content is nothing illegal. Unless you have an idea of how to deal with the above questions, how to help moderators that would be regularly dealing with a very distressing topic for No Pay (because AO3 is a volunteer run site), and how to keep the system from being abused in this very volatile time in fandom where, again, pedophilia as a term has been watered down and made useless… Yeah, those are other questions you would have to consider. Finally, questions of my own: what would this accomplish, and what would you *want* this sort of thing to accomplish? Me and a couple of other people in that twitter conversation asked that, how it would affect real life pedophilia and predators, and we never got an answer. No one on the other side of the discussion responded to my point of “If you got rid of all the fics in the Extremely Underage tag - a tag that only composes 0.04% of fic on the entire site - then it would have, at best, 0 impact on actual pedophilic predators. A worse outcome would be screwing over innocent people who aren’t doing anything wrong. The way worse outcome would be another Warriors for Innocence on Livejournal situation, where the rallying cry of “Think of the children!” is used to fuck over not only writers, but queer people, survivors, and tons of others.” Like - again. I’m a CSA survivor. I get it. I get the revulsion, and I get the desire to help, to stop wrongs. But to me, this isn’t it. This sort of thing wouldn’t help .

I have never seen it myself but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If there is an epidemic child porn issue on Ao3 like you say, report it. You could report it to either the national authorities or your local police precinct. Many countries have programs especially to prevent children from being exploited and the internet has been around for enough time that there are specific laws for that as well. Everyone should act as though they are a mandated reporter when it comes to this.
