regarding your recent asks and responses on have you eaten Sun, it makes me very curious about his relationship with the children back in the daycare days, and moon's and Eclipse's by extension. this Sun and moon don't seem like swap versions of og sun and moon so it's not as simple as swapping their interactions w children ofc. was moon still more the favorite amongst the kids because of his less stoic and mechanical presence compared to Sun? did Sun have a lot of trouble interacting with and getting kids to listen to him because of his nature? did he perhaps unintentionally scare them at times? I don't know how much of this has been thought out, since your au is more focused on their current jobs at their restaurant, but it's neat thinking about how things could've been back then 🤔

some background on the boys:

Eclipse was the first to be built, and he was specifically built for the Fazbear Theater. So he was always made to be a performer and an entertainer.

later on, the population trend shifted and there was a bigger need at the daycare, so Eclipse was switched to the daycare. But even with his 4 arms, he wasn’t enough for the sudden influx of children, so Sun and Moon were built as daycare attendants using Eclipse's code

they were built to fulfill their canon roles and their PizzaPlex had all the same posters and marketing, however... they didn't come out right. the bright and cheerful Sun was stoic and serious and the quiet and gentle Moon was scatterbrained and skittish. but when they work together, they make a pretty good team (when they get along, but they butt heads often since Moon is overly indulgent and Sun is a stickler for rules 😅)

the kids would definitely find Moon more fun to be around but i think Sun would have his fans too. there is a certain appeal to someone who is quietly caring, who would stand by you against the wall when it's too overwhelming to join the rest of the fun. his expression and voice may not show his feelings, but his actions show that he cares deeply for the people he is responsible for.

the situation is similar in the restaurant. Sun is the one who keeps to the kitchen the most with Eclipse as front of house and Moon occasionally going out to interact with customers. but from the kitchen, Sun will scan the customers to see what they may or may not need in their meal. one customer is dehydrated. another customer is developing a sore throat. and another customer is a few weeks pregnant. so he'll modify dishes to fit their needs or offer dishes on the house.

so while Sun believes he has no emotions and is only acting on his programming, he really does care a lot

Sun:

OKAY so yk how he can turn ppl into geese n stuff in canon? i feel like his transformation magic could actually be his ability. as a toon, he has the ability to turn either Himself or other toons into an object (like a soda can or chocolate bar) for 5-ish seconds. he could do this to Instantly de-agro any twisted's chasing either him or other toons, and the 5 second break could be just enough time for stamina to rebuild so even if the twisted does still spot the de-transformed toon again, they have more time/stamina to run and hide

THAT BEING SAID. his twisted form would be the exact Opposite of this- he'd be able to mask himself as an item and attack/agro onto any toon who'd try to pick him up. he'd be a lot like twisted rodger, just for items instead of capsules. and ofc there would be things making it obvious that the item wasn't trustworthy- like discoloration or added bits on it. if you have a keen eye, avoiding him is Easy :)

i have like a couple thoughts for his mastery item. first one that came to mind was a Cat Plush, which when equipped it has a “calming effect”, and ups your stealth up by around 10-ish percent, making it harder for twisted's to spot you. but then i also thought “haha Wine Bottle”, which i thought that (when close enough) it could instill the “confused” effect on nearby twisted's, and make it harder for them to see nearby toons. so both items would do the same thing, just go about it in different ways

Earth:

she deffo has an ability like tisha's or shelly's, where it helps out the other players instead of herself. im thinking she's able to heal others for one heart every two minutes. a basic ability, but bro methinks this game needs a healer besides teagen, who can only heal herself dosyohsshs the Easy way to go about it is that she can just.. go up to (aka Click) on another player to heal them, but she could also just have a “medical bag” on hand where she whips hella bandages out the wazoo and gives them to whoever needs em dishiaha

okay as a twisted this girl gives me MAD razzle and dazzle vibes in how she functions. but instead of sleeping, i can imagine her constantly Crying and remaining in one smalllll specific area, patrolling it, almost. she can be led away by Distractors (goob, pebble, ect), but once they've de-agroed her, she'll start slowly walking back to her patrol spot. the best way to deal with her is to have someone else agro her and lead her around while You fix the machine she's working on, or vice versa :) but you Can still beat her on a solo run, bc she has rather slow walk-speed when getting back to her patrol spot where you could beat her back to it after leading her away. it'd just be a Lot easier w multiple people digdihsah

and her item?? first thing that came to mind is a barbie doll. or just a “pink girl doll” bc. copyright sigsiszvah it would be an Active item (like the wrench or bottle of pop), where at the start of every round, she could place it down somewhere, and it makes noise, which leads the nearest twisted right to it. ofc we dont want it Too op, so once a twisted makes contact with it, its destroyed and returns back in earths inventory, ready to be used next round .D.

Killcode:

kc is a Complex one- i think this guy would have slow walk speed, but a fast run speed. so i think he'd be a good “distraction” character, like goob or pebble. HOWEVER. i think it'd be sick as *hell* if his ability, using his size, literally made it so that he could momentarily Pick Up Other Toons and carry them away from any twisted's chasing them. he'd prolly only be able to do so for 3-ish seconds, but it could be a saving grace for anyone out of stamina being chased .D.

now. as a Twisted. this👏man👏deserves👏lethal👏status👏 his name is LITERALLY KILLCODE i refuse to believe he cant one-shot a bitch sisgiaga due to him literally being a Being made to perfectly hunt/kill, i think how twisted kc would act is that he'd spawn in at the start of a new floor, a Sound Queue would play so that toons know he's on the floor. and now he's just.. somewhere. hiding. *waiting*. hes normally spawned behind corners or nearby machines, where its either easy to run into him or hard to avoid him. hes not Impossible to beat tho- i imagine he emimates a very quiet sound byte, so hes still avoidable on blackout floors, even if he's not visible. and that byte also helps on just normal floors too ofc. best way to deal with him is to listen to his sound queues and *be very aware of your surroundings*. cause if he spots someone, he is *hard* to lose, and hes lethal if he gets ya. once freed from his waiting spot, he's not going back to it. instead, he'll be moving around the map like a faster, but also Louder, dandy. Scary!!

aaand his item. i came up with a “soup ladel”. cause. heh. yk, because he volunteered in soup kitchens in canon? .D.? i think im Funny siosgiaa what it'd do is up the spawn rate of better Food/Drink items on every floor. think instead of soda cans spawning on floor 1, there's a higher/better chance for soda bottles to spawn instead .D.

It wasn't exactly out of the blue, but it wasn't a planned confession either. When the two of you are always together, arms locked around each other's neck, and how every little actiom both of you seem to be always for the other.

It felt like a little nudge, like the breeze tugging you by the sleeves and showing you a path you've seen before but never had the chance to delve into. It's obvious that both you and Ace don't have a lot of experience (which earned a couple teases from the more older and experienced people of the whitebeard pirates), but you guys just fit each other like a glove. As if you and him were destined to be together in every other universe.

Even when your relationship felt so casual, like nothing changed at all, there's a certain tugging like strings attached to your pinkies. From the night you tucked yourself tired in bed, limbs clambering over Ace's and vice versa, to drunken conversations and laughs during parties held on the ship— You're in love with him, and he's so so in love with you.

When the two of you somehow couldn't sleep and would spend hours talking, planning about the future. It didn't necessarily have to be 30 years from now on, no, it could be simply tomorrow or next week. Each and every second spent dreaming about what life could be when you wake up, the sun greeting the decks as soon as the night vanishes into the depths.

And when the incident happened, Ace promised he'd come back for you, that he'd write to you whenever he gets the chance. And he did. He kept his promise and every 2-3 weeks, there would be another letter tucked in a small box you keep in your shared quarters and there would be another— this time, from you —being sent to wherever he was.

He'd call you more often though, his voice still making your insides warm and fuzzy whenever you hear it. what was your view of coney island when it was released and what is it now?

because with all the new information we have about that relationship I honestly think this song is kind of the mother of midnights. the reference to old relationships in the bridge and knowing that he wrote or contributed in some way today makes me think that that reflection on the song was about them

idk, for me there is a bridge between coney island -> most of the tracks of midnights -> dear reader -> hits different -> ttpd

makes sense to you? I thought about asking about this song when you were talking about cold in some other song that I don't remember which one it was, but it reminded me of “and it gets colder and colder when the sun goes down” 😂

OK so one thing to know about me is that despite the fact that I've been listening to Taylor casually since Debut, was a huge fan of 1989, and consider myself a pretty serious fan since at least Lover (as in that's when I started following her more online and not just for the music), I really didn't know much about the personal lore until after folklore 😂 I loved her music, but I wasn't the type to be like, "omg this song is about this person!! Or this event!!" when I'd listen to it. Obviously, some of them were obvious to me (e.g. LWYMMD, Paper Rings, Bad Blood, etc.) but what I'm saying is that I didn't dissect the muses or inspiration as much as I connected with the lyrics.

And the next thing to know about me is that even though evermore is my favourite album... Coney Island is not a song I think about a lot 😂 I know, that's going to send me to Swiftie jail. I don't dislike it! It's just not one of the ones I gravitate towards generally unless I'm listening to the album in full. So when evermore came out, I honestly just thought it was a complex story about a relationship breakdown that she wrote with the dudes from The National. 😂 Obviously I knew a lot of Taylor's music was personal, but I was also of the belief (and still am tbh) that while she may have taken emotions and situations she's experienced and put them into her songs, the actual details/circumstances aren't always factual. (Hence, folkmore. I clocked that before it was cool haha.)

So back to Coney Island. I would say that when it came out, I didn't think of it at all in terms of her personal relationship. I could certainly believe some personal feelings infused in it, because like I said that's what writers do. But it wasn't a song that, like, gave me pause. (As opposed to, say, False God, which immediately sent red flags up to me when Lover came out.) And tbh, I still don't know, precisely because it was written collaboratively. I think I see it sort of like The Alcott -- you can certainly see where her influence is, and can infer what inspired it, but I'm not sure how much of the story is hers and how much is Aaron/Bryce/Matt?/or Joe's writing. Looking at the credits, I don't know if Taylor wrote it all and the National dudes just got credit because of the music as is often the case when they get credit, or if they all wrote it collaboratively or what.

Reading the lyrics now, like really reading them, it's kind of a lot tbh lol. "And if this is the long haul, how'd we get here so soon?" is a lyric that has always stuck with me, like suddenly coming to an impasse you didn't even know was on the horizon. I'm actually like, processing this song for the first time I think, which is a little scary four years down the line lol. So thanks for that I guess? 🥴 j/k.

I guess it's hard for me to really deconstruct in this context just because I'm not entirely sure where it falls on the inspiration line. But I do think that it may be quite telling and I can see the pipeline to Midnights you mention. And, um, the quiet resentment. "The question pounds my head, 'What's a lifetime of achievement?' if I pushed you to the edge, but you were too polite to leave me," is ooooooooof. Like. Yeah. Because that's kind of the crux of a lot of Midnights, which culminates in TTPD. The golden age coming to a whimpering end before you know it, the distance, the miscommunication, the misunderstanding, the lack of consideration, but still the kernel of love underneath it all that makes it so hard to let go.

re: meta again (again) - about old fandoms with no/little new input - do you think that there's a point where even though there's kinda more time for meta, the fandom becomes a bit detached from the canon material, maybe partially?

also, you made a really interesting point with developing confidence in one's own taste - I think I (and many others) are used to being graded on media analysis in school, so you'd have to find the 'correct' angle instead of finding the angle that works for you. it feels like it should be obvious that it can be different but I did kinda need you to write it down to get it, so thank you :) also, thank you for the discussion in general - I have actually started to grab screenshots of the comic panels that I've been having thoughts about, but here comes the final boss of writing meta (to me): lack of time, haha

I think it can vary enormously depending on the fandom, honestly. Some fandoms are built up around folks who are there to do textual analysis and as a result, I find that you don't tend to get that kind of "canon drift", because constantly revisiting the text is a large part of the communal fandom experience. (Again I invoke the daddy of all Western acafandoms- book-Tolkien and especially Silmarillion fandom spaces tend to go this way.) They can wind up in their own recursive interpretive bubbles in other ways, mind, but it's in no way a sure thing. I do think fandoms where it is possible to remain engaged without needing to revisit the source material can be prone to it, though. Transformers fandom (including e.g. specifically IDW1 fandom) gives you a lot of avenues for creative fannish outlets that don't need you to revisit the canon material for reference, so it's very possible for fanon environments to... drift away. (I'm thinking of drift here in a way that's a little like semantic drift, honestly.)

I think the idea that it relates to experience with media analysis in school- and I assume you mean school and not higher education here?- is interesting. While my time before dropping out of university wasn't spent in a literature course (I studied linguistics), it was adjacent enough and I spent enough time trying to self-study in it academically that my default understanding of this stuff trends towards my experiences there rather than high school, where I feel like the "right vs wrong" dichotomy is at least less emphasized. But of course those bad educational settings where the idea of "right" analyses are taken for granted bc Teaching To The Test must loom large in most peoples' memories bc it's, you know, the default for most people- like they exist ofc. All I can say to that is that a majority of high school/etc experiences with "media analysis" are so far from what it looks like everywhere else that you deserve to feel comfortable punting it into the fucking sun. Not just in the sense that "academic analysis" doesn't do that in higher education environments (though it shouldn't! i swear to god it shouldn't be like that!!!) but also because so much exciting analysis of art is done fully outside academic environments. ...I just realised that my longstanding investment in artistic analysis of video games as a medium probably helps me here because it ranges from "academic analysis is rejected by the mainstream as Not What Real Games Are About so gamers hate it" to "academic analysis of video games has no room for most indie work and neither does pop culture so it has to exist independently without following convention so academics dismiss it", which means I'm just. Really used to analysis of non-prestigious media that is fully outside "the academy", haha. If you want to get comfortable analysing art when you haven't done it since high school handed you a stupid letter grade, peruse Critical Distance for media analysis that is largely divorced from the idea of consensus among Important People TM, genuinely; critical artistic analysis of video games is a great place to find intelligent, interesting work that ignores a lot of what is conventionally considered "obligatory" for Real Art Criticism TM. (video game crit is like, my default mileau, ngl.)

As for time, I personally write most of my work while doing time theft (this is why you see me on here less at the weekends), but regardless: recommended post on one (excellent) fandom-writer's process. also, take as long as you need. take months if you have to. it's good and fine. write three words a day. write one post a year. or post seven a day, whatever. i will say that folding meta-writing into my 'reading for fun' time helped me a lot, though- meta as an extension of re-reading for fun, rather than something in addition to it, was very helpful to me! don't re-read in addition to planning meta, basically; try and meld the two into one experience. you aren't doing an academia, and you can go off the cuff as you read! make meta into a liveblog, and get meta out of livetweets! same hat!!! etc. but also it's just fine to. take time. yknow.

As he sat there in the sun, Llewellyn stared down at his hands and flexed the fingers every some... Then he would turn his hands over and back again, like he wasn't sure which part of himself was more foreign. It wasn't anything too obvious, either... Just slight variations, differences, new tiny imperfections that the witch knew hadn't been there before. And that was just in his hands... Llewellyn looked up for the umpteenth time to stare at his reflection in the window of the cafe, a tiny furrow above his brow that said he wasn't sure whether to be confused or concerned. Perhaps a little of both?

Truly, the man had yet to fully process everything he had been told in the past week since his return. So much had gone on already, it was a lot to sink in. In some respect, Llewellyn thought maybe they were all playing some elaborate joke on him-- haha, you big dolt, you'd believe you were gone for a full ten years? As comforting as that would be, he couldn't believe it simply for the cruelty that could come with them dragging it out so long. And, of course, all the sudden visible changes across his features. Llewellyn's hand pressed in at his cheek, then his fingers smoothed across his brow, making some attempt to try and pull away new wrinkles he didn't recognize. He looked older. And that was such a strange thing to come to terms with, to the point he wasn't even sure what to think or feel about any of it. Just days ago, he was a twenty-five year old man that was weeks away from signing onto his favorite NFL team-- when he smiled, the lines didn't crease that way.

Llewellyn shook his head, averting his gaze away so he didn't have to keep thinking about these awful changes. His body said it was all true but his mind refused to catch up with this new reality. Mentally, he was still that twenty-five year old man with his entire future ahead of him. It was all slowly coming back to him, but he could even remember why he was back in Greywood to begin with. Yes, to see his family-- always, he came to visit them often and for lengthy periods of time too, and had always known he would settle here permanently again once his time in the big leagues was over. Yes, to check in on how the renovations to the home he had purchased were going. But most importantly, it was to let them all know about his plans regarding that bright future and to collect his grandmother's ring, too.

Not intentionally-- she'd just happened into the area his eyes were already looking and well, now he focused. And sprang to his feet suddenly. "Amelia!" He gasped, loudly, and those long legs had him steps into the street before some giant van careened around him, honking madly as the driver cursed him for having chased into the roadway without even looking. With little patience or care to how close a call that'd been, Llewellyn waved them out of his way and took up a fast jog to finish crossing the street. "Amelia!" he sought after the woman, absolutely certain it was her even though she somehow looked different at the same time. He grabbed for her hand, pulling the woman back around to him and gathered her up in his arms, nearly giving her a crushing hug. "Oh my God, I missed you," his face buried into her hair as he let that relief flow through him. "It's been a crazy few days, babe, you don't even know." He was mentally stuck back ten years prior, so much so that even being told otherwise, the man had forgotten all of that immediately once seeing her. All he could think now was that it was Amelia, and he sought her comfort and kisses immediately.

Comfort Character(s) Pip & Damien: Dip! Also they're just both very enjoyable characters to me, & they never fail to make my day better, whether it be through episodes, art, fanfiction, or music! Joe: You all know he wouldn't care what the problem was, he'd just pull you in for a hug until you felt better. He'd support you no matter what & be there for you when you need a shoulder to cry on. Sun & Moon: Similar, but comforting with distractions, & are a lot more artistically inclined. They're both loads of fun in their own ways, & I just love them a lot.

Game Super Paper Mario has been my absolute favorite game since I was little, & as I've grown & continued playing it over & over & over again, the story never fails to bring a tear to my eye. (Funny thing is, I never noticed the story when I was little, I was just playing a game! When I picked it up after some time had passed, hoo boy...). I also played it a lot in college (& still do, haha).

Food Bacon Potato Soup! It's the recipe from the batim handbook, & I absolutely love it! It's simple to make, good in price, & is absolutely filling. I'd highly recommend it if you like!

Hobbies I have many, but writing fanfics & baking have got to be my top 2. I have such a passion for writing, it gives me a freedom that so many other things don't, & I just love putting little guys in situations! It's so much fun. I started baking a few years ago to help deal with anxiety, & found that it really helped me! Remember that Christophe headcanon where I said he baked at 3 in the morning? I got that from myself! It's always fun to bake when the rest of the world is asleep.

sun - 5 things you like about yourself

oof this is hard HAHA but ill try my best

1. i rly like my hair? idk sounds shallow but i've had it super long and i've had it short, i've had it bleached, dyed, i've had undercuts, fades, wolfcuts, braids,,,i've been thru a lot of self esteem and appearance issues, but my hair is always one thing i rly like abt my physical appearance so yeah !

2. i love the way i hyperfixate ! if my neurodivergence wasn't obvious enough, i tend to deep dive into rly niche and obscure things solely based on a whim, and i rly like that ! i love drawing from so many sources and inspirations and it makes me happy having all this useless knowledge in my head

3. i rly like the way i try to communicate. i'm not perfect of course, but i've always tried to outline my feelings and my thoughts in the most calm, reasonable, and mediating way, especially when an issue arises. i'm a little bit of a mediator when it comes to my groups of friends? and a lot of people appreciate it so i like that !

4. i rly like my writing ! sounds weird to say, but i only ever write for myself and to have fun, and it's just a bonus (a lovely bonus btw) that you all enjoy it too. i love seeing my writing come to life especially when it's abt love, bc fact abt me: i love LOVE.

5. this sounds weird but i rly like my talents n skills ! i love the things i do and i wouldnt trade them at all for anything else. theater, writing, reading, games, sports, and everything else i do,,,i love that i have SOME amount of skill to it

Sorry that it took me a long time to reply... I hope you're in good health.

I am also born on waning gibbous phase..almost become a full moon child if I was born hours later...

Oh no. I was just recalling my visit to one of my state's tourist attraction. I'm not living near mountain but rather on inland. My state (the state in my country) has a mountain. Me, from inland going to the mountain will take 6 hour-ride. I never hike on a mountain let alone a small hill because of health problems. So I never knew how's the sun looking from up there. But my friend had gone to climb mountain and said it was freezing cold but the view was worth it.

By being at the Equator we don't experience long day short night or vice versa. We got the same length for daytime and nightime throughout the year. Maybe for some it's pretty boring but consistency or familiarity feels like comfort to me.

We also have lizards here, the brown one and of course can't forget house lizard 😝

The green one only shows up in the forest. I can almost picture a children's book about Lys saving the lizards family. With pictures looking like being colour with crayon.

Back to weather, it doesn't snow in my place but on rare occasion we could have what look like the beginning of winter where small droplets of shower turn into small flake of snow. But it wasn't obvious. Sometimes we could have stone rain (?) Where the rain have bigger droplets that when it hits you it hurts.

Personally I don't really like storm especially the way they sounded. The past week we just had a regular rain. I don't usually get sick easily. But I do get sick if the weather gone from cold to warm or vice versa in limited time. Just like right now a lot of people in my surroundings cough here and there. So I bet this is the "Autumn" in my country? We do have moonsoons. As i live inland, it mostly feels hot on dry season. But near the mountain the air is cold or maybe the fog covering the sun so theres only so much light sipping in?

No. I don't bake but my sister and mom do occasionally. I can't find the time to do it. If my mom do bake it usually ripen banana cake. Maybe if 1 day I have my own house I might bake?

Oh okay, sorry I misinterpreted your words. I am sorry about your health problems but I understand why it's better for you to not go hiking, not to mention how far you live from mountains. I live pretty close to mountains tbh, not even 1 hour away. But I think they're not as tall as over there. Still the view is pretty good as well.. maybe this type of mountains would be more affordable for you.

Ofc it depends from one person to another and also what they're dealing with (at times at least). The comfort we get from familiarity and easy situation, especially in certain moments of our life and in specific situation, can really be healing too.

Don't you have hailstorms? Like when ice falls instead of rain? We do have a mix of rain and snow as well, it's when it doesn't last and melt salmost immediately... the temperature is generally too high (over 1-2°C here) for snow to form and stay also near the ground level so it melts halfway while falling down.

I used to be scared of thunders, and at times they still make me uncomfortable tbh, but I kinda also like them? Yeah, that's weird. I bet that yea, you can consider this time your Autumn: here too people start to sneeze and cough. Oh that's beautiful, about the fog covering the sun. Here in late Autumn or in whole Winter, fog totally covers the sun and you cannot see anything anymore. People may even get lost if they go out of town in particular as countries and roads are just lost inside this thick grey cover. Those who don't live here or aren't used to fog do get very scared.

Why not, maybe one day you'll have time to bake something too :)

"plus i said i would give you mora, so you can't back out now!" you turn to your best friend with a pout. "i would have done this for you even without the mora. you do know that i have been waiting for you and childe to get together for many months now, right?" zhongli says in a matter-of-fact tone. heat rushes to your face as you try to brush it off, "whatever, old man. now let's go! don't be scared to hold my hand, by the way." "y/n, i fought the primo geovishap with you. i doubt interlocking hands would terrify me."

the two of you stroll around liyue harbour, appearing to all the world like a happy couple on a date, although you both knew it was just a façade, and you were really just enjoying the day as two best friends finally getting the opportunity to spend some time together. you excitedly pointed out your favourite flowers from the shop you passed by, to which zhongli made a dramatic show of purchasing it for you and tucking it behind your ear. it would have been a much cuter gesture if he wasn't using your money.

the sun was already beginning to sink below the horizon when the two of you finally bumped into childe. the fatui harbinger had a hidden network of connections all around the city, and he had instantly received news that you and zhongli were on a date. with his mind a messy jumble of thoughts, he had proceeded to look for you the entire day, only to meet you now. zhongli shoots you an encouraging smile and steps aside to give the two of you some privacy, pretending to be interested in the wall of a nearby building as he strolls away.

"so, zhongli, huh?" tartaglia begins, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "what about him?" you ask in fake confusion, tilting your head. "i mean, i can see why. he's responsible, got a stable job, can spend time with you," childe can't meet your eyes as he fidgets with his fingers nervously. "ajax? what are you talking about?" you felt just the slightest bit guilty for playing with his heart like this, but you genuinely didn't know if he liked you back or not. zhongli had proposed that you just asked him directly without beating around the bush, but you had claimed that would be far too embarrassing, and hence created this entire plan.

"i just wanted to say... congrats on getting together with zhongli," he forces it out, even though the words stick like treacle in his throat. childe had fallen hook, line and sinker for your trick, and you couldn't tell if that was a good thing or not. "childe! i'm not dating zhongli! the two of us were just walking around as friends," you burst out, shaking your head aggressively to rid him of that idea. "you're not?!" you would have to be a total idiot to miss how tartaglia perks up with your statement, and thankfully you are not, so his obvious joy makes your heart soar too.

"nope." childe steps closer to you, relief spreading across his face, "thank goodness. well then, i suppose i should just get this over with before anyone else tries to steal you." "get what-" you start, but you're interrupted by childe clearing his throat and asking with a flourish, "y/n, would you do me the honour of becoming my partner?" you're silent for a second as you process how the scenario of your dreams has become reality, and this causes childe to freak out, "i'd just be your boyfriend! i didn't mean marriage!" this in turn makes you even more flustered, because truth be told that was a fantasy you had hidden in the back of your mind, "i wasn't thinking about marriage either! but yes ajax, i would absolutely love to date you."

childe pulls you into a hug, chuckling softly as he rests his head on your shoulder, "so, where should we go for our first date? i can take you out to dinner at wanmin restaurant if you'd like." you lean against his toned chest, unable to help the smile that curves your lips, "that sounds perfect." "then let's go!" tartaglia intertwines his fingers with yours, lifting them to his lips while maintaining eye contact with you, "also about the marriage thing, i meant 'not yet'. i obviously am going to marry you someday."

The man withheld a small sigh. It was obvious his words, or at least their tone, had bothered her...She had not denied him, thank the gods, but it was obvious this wasn't enough. He lightly clenched his hand, so lightly that it could be seen only as stretching the fingers, to force down his impatience.

There would be time to talk, to tell her everything, just not yet, not here..

"That is more than fine.", he offered a smile still, and walking by her side, they made their way to the bustling market. Even as the sun was going down, a city as big as this one was bound to stay busy till the late hours.

"Haha, not quite..", he chuckled to himself at her words. "I am the same as before, i just have more personal...purpose, per say. I go where there is trouble, and try to help out the situation. If the trouble involves monsters, that it usually does, it also means materials that i can use to further advance my craft. The local smith will, usually at least, gladly lend me their forge, as long as i help them out as well. It is more than a good deal for me, and it is the case here as well."

Her threat did...sting, and he couldn't tell if that was its purpose or it was genuine.

"I've...never lied to you. Everything i did was with my heart in it." He couldn't hold his sigh this time. But his next words seemed to cheer him up a tad. "But i'm not as afraid of those after my head anymore. Living in dread and fear was like not living at all. Not to mention ive grown a lot stronger than before, and..", his gaze turned to big dog walking around them.

"I got quite the protector too, hehe..With Woofers here, nobody is sneaking up on me. Ain't that right, boy?

So, let them come.", the words trailed off with withheld, yet aggressive confidence.

"Woof!!", the wardog barked quite assertively, agreeing with his partner.

It did not take them long at all to reach the tavern, which was starting to pick up traffic at this point. The smith's gaze moved around as he walked, but he was obviously unfocused. How could he be otherwise, really? His heart had not stopped beating in his chest hard enough to feel like it's going to burst out, from the moment he laid eyes on Anika again.

"Viralis...that's nice to hear, i'm glad she's doing well." He would like to see her, for sure, but he wasn't sure what he would say...He had regrets about what happened, but nothing to apologize for. It was just a sad circumstance..

"Is going to my room okay with you..? Other than hearing your news...i have some things to say too, written on letters that never reached you. I would...like the privacy."

That smirk, it spoke so many words. It reminded him of the times they first met, her cheeky nature that never quite went away, and now it was back at full force. It was a little cold too, and that was expected. He remembered how they seperated like it was just this morning. The guilt still weighted in his heart.

But, it wasn't a death stare, it wasn't growls and curses. And that was a blessing.

"It has..", he spoke calmly and took a deep breath. He had willed to change, all this time, and no longer would he hold back his insticts for the favor of paralyzing thoughts. Never again would he let them get in his way.

Mustering the courage, he took a big step forward, and leaned in to hug her as wide as he possibly could.

"I missed you a lot.", his voice came out soft and sincere. He was anxious, of course. Maybe she didn't want to, maybe it made her uncomfortable, maybe she hated him...And maybe, he should not let such anxieties stop him from hugging someone he dearly missed.

Lifting his head and releasing the embrace, he couldn't hide a little wetness in his eyes. He clearly was a lot more openly emotional than he used to be, and his smile, anxious as it was, widened.

"You're looking really well.."

Part 5

Moon: he had woken up now while Sun was still asleep while clinging onto him and decided to just stare down at his younger brother, Sun rarely slept and when he did sleep it was usually due to stress and just wanting to get the day over and done. "Why can't I figure out what's wrong with you Sunny.."

Sun: after about half an hour he had finally woken up and met eyes with moon who was still staring down at him "Oh- hello Moony"

Moon: "hello Sunny, you have a good rest?"

Sun: "uh- y-yeah brilliant rest!" He laughed awkwardly, clearly his rest wasn't as good as he made it out to be.

Moon: "What's wrong?" He knew something was wrong and sun was just making it more obvious by every second that passed.

Sun: "what do you mean Moony? Im perfectly fine..!" He stared up at his older brother who was now stood up and towering over him.

Moon: he grabbed sun by one of his rays and dragged him up, still holding onto him "SUNDROP TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!"

Sun: "MOON WHAT THE STARS- LET ME GO" he yelled while trying to get out of moons grasp, his pain sensors going off while all this was going on.

Moon: "I'M NOT LETTING GO UNTIL YOU TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG"

Sun: "LET ME GO AND I WILL TELL YOU THEN" he began crying due to one, the fact he was in a lot of pain and two, his brother was literally threatening him.

Moon: "LIKE SHIT I BELIEVE THAT! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST TELL ME NOW!?" He remained holding onto Sunny and only tightened his grip.

Sun: "OKAY OKAY I WILL TELL YOU- THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY CO-" suddenly Sunny powered off completely leaving Moon to panic.

Moon: "SUNNY!?" he let go of sun and began shaking him "SUNNY STOP ACTING LIKE YOU POWERED OFF CMON- YOU NEVER JUST RANDOMLY POWER OFF!" he was right, Sunny never just randomly power off.
