Today’s Bird is: this pair of Eurasian Griffon Vultures (Gyps fulvus)!

#submission #todays bird #bird #birblr #for anyone curious- they’re both rescues !! they were both brought into this rescues care at a p young age #as they had previously been raised in poor captivity #Arin is the one with one wing ! unfortunately his wing had to be amputated - but fortunately that saved his life! hes now a permanent #resident of the rescue :)!! the other fella just prefers to loaf - not 100% sure why some vulture loaf like that but I’ve seen some do it i #the wild too so ? im assuming it indicates being relaxed or digesting after a meal but I’m not sure exactly what this behavior indicates (i #anything !) so if anyone reading these tags knows / has any thoughts I’d love to hear <33!!#and pictures here are their temp enclosure while their permanent living space is being cleaned !#vulture #griffon vulture

for the record I think wind turbines are beautiful and are not a stain on any landscape and the sounds they make are beautiful and whenever I see one I am filled with love for human innovation and hope for the future of clean energy and if they needed to be built close to my house I would go YAYY ^_^ WAHOO ^_^ WIND TURBINE!!

#truly maybe i am just a pokémon photographer at this point #taillow #i do think this regional bird is a little weird. a little boring‚ maybe #i know it's very nostalgic for a lot of folks and that includes me‚ but in the grand scheme of regional birds i think it set up #a rather boring trend of normal/flying birds #along with pidgey and spearow before it #think about it. pidgey‚ spearow‚ taillow‚ starly‚ pidove… it took six generations for us to get an interesting early-route bird #fletchling was good. love the fire typing. and then we got pikipek which i believe is also normal/flying into toucannon #yeah it is so we. definitely regressed there. gen 8 gave usssssss fuck what is the galar regional bird #ugh i'll come back to that but wattrel in gen 9‚ although not my favorite design-wise‚ is interesting #because of the electric typing. some Could argue that squawkabilly is actually paldea's regional bird but #i would. disagree #gen 8's bird. i'm not gonna fuckin google this i can get it #i can fuckin remember it #here i'll queue up the next post and let you know if i remember it by then #the difference between these two posts for me is like two seconds but for you it'll be about three hours #so if you tell me the answer on this post. thank you but it will have been two weeks ago that i wrote these tags #some of you forget this. i queue posts up two weeks in advance #so i'm writing these tags on december 18th

Howdy hello- guess who made a wings au :)

More to come with this eventually- I’m working on my designs for other characters at the moment, but for now we’ve got Red-Tailed Hawk for Curt and Eagle Owl for Owen.

For DMA I had Barn Owl wings because a) Barn Owls are beautiful and I wanted to draw the wings for them, and more importantly, b) Owen would probably want to disguise his wings, and it would make sense if it was as a different type of owl. I just assume he’d dye his feathers in some way or another. Look- just don’t think about it too much.

my two (+one) primary observations about the few negative aspects of the M*A*S*H fandom on tumblr:

some of yall think that bc frank burns was clearly abused/neglected as a child and might be autistic that he’s some kind of babygirl who could have been a beautiful woman. that man was one of the most homophobic, transphobic, racist motherfuckers on the show and he had not one redeeming quality. no, being autistic, abused, or queercoded are not redeeming qualities. he can be your problematic fave or whatever but don’t act like that freak was anything other than a cockroach and slime. larry linville can be your babygirl if you’ve gotta have something

some of yall also think that bj is in some way worse than trapper, which is of course entirely subjective, but the crazy justifications i’ve seen make my head spin. bj’s abusive because he punched hawk once and then apologized and was promptly forgiven? bj’s annoying because his little girl is growing up without him and it eats at him? bj’s misogynistic because he doesn’t like that peg has to take on so much work because he’s gone? y’all love to talk about reading comprehension and then not have any because media was produced in a time period alien to you.

When is an analogy about a falling tree actually about the complication of Eddie having moved his life to Texas only to realise he’s in love with his best friend?!!!

Because that’s what I’m getting from that Tim quote!! To talk about self flagelation, complications in reestablishing his relationship with Chris and then throw in a comment about never knowing what tree might fall on you to finish off the answer - was a choice!

And I can’t be the only one that is thinking back to 6x04 and the birdwatcher stuck under a tree (and the whole episode being about misunderstanding things and christopher lying and buck and Christopher’s relationship and things being complicated!) we’ve already had a callback to this episode as well this season with Buck riding white bikes and stopping traffic - we’ve graduated from a pushbike to a motorbike - things are speeding up!
