i never really post positive things on here so here's something!

i'm finally feeling really hopeful, excited, and motivated for my second semester of college :)

i don't even wanna talk about my academic performance last sem.. but this sem i have a lot of renewed hope and i think it's because falling so far away from myself allowed me to understand my needs better and identify what things do and do not work for my success and wellbeing. so for a moment, i'm just gonna talk about all the things i'm looking forward to!

first, i'm looking forward to just the new opportunity for success in general. where i failed last sem is that as hard as i tried to stay organized - time felt constantly beyond my control. so i'm looking forward to try and take hold of my own time this semester. i'll make a master list of important dates, deadlines, and assignments and learn to plot out times for certain assignments and projects so that i'm not overwhelmed. it'll help with diminishing my procrastination to not only remind myself of deadlines, but specifically outline how much work to do each day. i'll a lot study days and times instead of just winging it and taking it day by day which i've learned only makes me feel lost and like i'm constantly running to catch up. i'm excited to prepare myself better to manage my time most efficiently so that i can excel in my classes :) and knowing that i'll feel more prepared makes me excited for study days because i know that i'll feel productive and on top of my priorities! i'm excited to better learn and study spanish and feel confident in my progress. im not so excited about math, but i'm excited for the productivity it'll make me feel. i'm very excited for my pilates class! something about the health aesthetic surrounding the concept of pilates feels very motivating :) i'm excited for the productivity of studying human anatomy and im especially excited for my soul voices class! not only does it cover a core credit but i've vsited that class before and the choir is INCREDIBLE and the energy that the director curates is absolutely magical and so safe and comforting. it's going to be a great class to reground myself when i need it. plus i already have friends in there! i'm so excited eeek. and also just excited to SING AGAIN !!! <333

continuing onnnn, im excited about the layout of my schedule (fingers crossed it gets approved!) because everything is spaced out so it wont be super overwhelming or overstimulating. there's a lot of room to time manage and i'm excited for that opportunity to build good time efficiency habits. i'm excited to spend my time focusing on school, and the focusing on myself when i need to - taking care of myself physically, pursuing creative endeavors, but also playing games and sleeping when i need a mental break. i'm also happy because being prepared and staying on top of priorities will also make me feel less guilt for going to school clubs and events :)

what else what else what else. i'm excited to make money by helping my mom with her business and also selling my own art! and that'll be for the rest of winter mostly. the rest of winter is for focusing on school work, myself, and my money. then the weather is gonna get warmer! and i'm SUPER excited for that because i'm already imagining the beach days, and days where i just chill with friends on the big lawn, studying outside, CYPHS!, and just so much sun <3 i cant wait to bloom with spring and feel alive again. i cant wait to build better habits and become a better student and be better to myself and my dreams. i cant wait for how rewarding it will feel once sun and skirts season rolls around and i can bask in it with pride for how far ive come.

2023: i beg. please please please bring me nothing but focus focus focus, motivation, money, energy, peace, and ease. let me try again and please let me succeed. i'm doing my best. don't let my hope go to vain. i want to be a better student and i will be. i want to have financial independence and i will. i want to overcome old habits, evolve, grow, and enjoy the fruit i bore. i want to feel pride. i will, with my gall and your grace.

Hi Mod Azul! I was wondering if I could request some parenting headcanons for Riddle x Floyd? :) (With them probably adopting lmfao).

Kinda random, but this was actually sparked by your "Riddle's Conversation with his Mother" post lol. I also just wanted to compliment you on it and how well executed it was. I appreciated the honesty that went into it. How some people will always think they're in the right; they won't listen to you, nor will they change, and sometimes you just have to move away from that. (Also Riddle wanting to cry and go to Trey, but him also knowing that doing so will make things worse??? Him seeing Trey's family, their relationship helping him learn how his own mother's treatment of him isn't right????😭😭😭) Riddle's sorrow was palpable, but so was his determination and hope. The line about Riddle wanting to break the cycle particularly struck me! Ofc, this comes with Riddle growing apart from his mother and into a healthier lifestyle, along with a lot of reflection and struggle and! Betterment!! :) It got me wondering how would Riddle be like as a parent growing out of that kind of cycle? And on a much less serious/more random note, how Floyd's spontaneity may agitate or encourage that growth. I just thought it was interesting :) but i also totally understand if this request is too random/specific🤣🤣🤣 and being able to communicate my appreciation for Riddle's Conversation is enough:)

This message is so incredibly sweet. I am so genuinely touched that you liked my Riddle post because I know that the subject of dysfunctional families isn't always something fun to read about. And on top of it all you ask me for florid, which, if I may be biased for a moment, is one of my favorite ships. 😭

Floyd and Riddle as parents.

CW: Mentions of unhealthy parent-child relationship (Riddle and his mother), fluffy as fuck and long as fuck.

Note: This is set with both characters being in their late twenties.

I feel like becoming parents was a very long process for the two of them. Not in a bad way, actually, it was just very well thought out.

Floyd was the one to prompt the discussion: I've mentioned in the past how his biology gives him bad baby fever when he feels comfortable and safe in his life, so that was what prompted it. Riddle, on the other hand, had never really thought about kids. (Nor had he really thought about being in a relationship, either, but here he was, in a committed relationship with Floyd.)

To his credit, Floyd thought out his approach very carefully. He had only heard bits and pieces about Riddle's mother and had met her a grand total of once before the both of them were kicked out of her house. (Sometimes Floyd still remembers how worried he'd been that Riddle would be devastated only to look over and see him with a very smug and self satisfied smile on his face at her reaction. It turned out that Riddle had done it intentionally to piss her off so she'd kick him out 'to think about his choices' so he didn't have to deal with her for the holidays. Its disgustingly sappy, but he's pretty sure that was the day he well and truly fell head over heels for Riddle.) He knows that there's not a good history with his mom, so Floyd had thought it would be best to test the waters before actually asking outright if he wanted kids.

He tried to be subtle about it, just pointing out children when he saw them, hoping to get a temperature read on how Riddle felt about kids in general. "There's a whole line of kids dressed up for halloween! The one with a crown on reminds me of you." or "Hee hee, they have mini-sized boots for baby feet." Riddle would always acknowledge it but was surprisingly quiet about his thoughts.

"Oh, Riddle, look! There's a school trip!"

Riddle looks up from the case of desserts he's looking at in the direction that Floyd is watching, and sure enough a line of children is waddling by behind a guide and their teacher on a field trip, he assumed.

He glanced back to Floyd, wondering why he'd been mentioning baby stuff so much recently. Floyd had already told him before that he tended to get a little baby-crazy at times, and he was about to ask if it was starting up again when a slight movement caught his eye.

His eyes dropped to where he hand that wasn't holding his own had come to rest on Floyd's shirt. It flexed a little, fabric gripped between it, and when Riddle glanced at his face, he noticed that the others eyes were glittering and crinkled at the corners as he smiles.

He follows his gaze back to the group of children who are excitedly pointing at the sweets on display, and that's what makes it click.

"Floyd..." The other perks up, fingers still tangled in his shirt and smile still gracing his lips. "You want kids, don't you?"

It's not a question-- more of an accusation, really.

Floyd's face drops and he opens his mouth and makes a couple of aborted noises. Riddle recognizes it as what he does when he back-pedals-- what he does when he thinks he's done something that actually makes Riddle mad.

"I dunno what you're talkin' 'bout, goldfishie~." He settles on, trying for his normal sing-song tone but sounding a little strained. Riddle shakes his head with a sigh-- while he was glad that Floyd had learned to be a bit more tactful with showing his affection, sometimes he wished he would just drop it and be blunt with him.

Riddle squeezes the hand that's still linked with his own, falling silent and looking back toward the desert case. He sorted his thoughts in the time it took for the waitress to take the order for what he wanted.

As she took the tarts aside to put them in a box, Riddle squeezed Floyd's hand again.

"You could have just asked me outright, you know I wouldn't have been upset with you. So why didn't you?"

Floyd huffs, clearly not wanting to answer this line of inquiry. He tries to pull his hand away from Riddle's, trying to close himself off. Riddle doesn't let him, already familiar with this little trick of his.

"Jus' thought it might be a sensitive subject." Floyd sighs brusquely, and when Riddle looks over at him in confusion he realizes that Floyd is resolutely not looking in his direction. Instead he's watching the children playing again and rubbing at the back of his neck.

"Why would it be?"

"... Cause of your Ma."

Ah. No, that tracks. Truly, sometimes Floyd was too smart for his own good. He seemed to be better at reading Riddle's feelings before he was, sometimes.

"I see." Riddle hums. His mom... he hadn't really thought about that. In fairness, he'd never thought of kids in general, though, either. He doesn't think he would be like his mother but... well, he's never really been in a parental role either. Sometimes he does catch himself saying something and hearing her voice coming out in place of his own. It makes him shudder a little every time, but surely that was a sign that he was trying to be better, right?

It's not exactly a comfortable silence between them, for the next few minutes as they take a seat at the table in the bakery and pull out their desserts. Floyd has barely picked at his tart, Riddle notes, as he chews his own slowly and considers what's on his mind. He glances back over at the field trip group as they finish getting their own treats and go trotting out the door chipperly.

"...Do you think I'm like her?"

Floyd snaps to attention, looking at Riddle like he'd grown a second head.

"What? No." Floyd frowns, gesturing with his hands and glaring at him as if he's personally offended that Riddle would compare himself to his own mother. "No."

"You think so?"

"This is a joke, right, Riddle?" Riddle can't help the slight quirk of his lips at the use of his real name, it's how he knew Floyd was being serious. "She would be too busy counting the calories in that tart to think about anything else."

"Mhm. And she would be arguing with the waitress right now and demanding the nutritional information." Riddle places the last bite of his tart into his mouth to hide his smile.

"And then she would ask if they could substitute the flour for oats or sawdust or somethin' because it would be healthier."

"She would."

"And then she'd tell the whole school group off for letting those kids have that much sugar and how it's 'bad for their growing brains'."

"Yes. And she wouldn't try to do this." Riddle says, jabbing his fork toward Floyd's own tart, which Floyd preempts and slides it far enough across the table that it's out of his reach. Drat.

"Ooh, devious goldfishie~! Too slow." Floyd laughs, mood already improved noticeably, hand propping his head up against the table. Despite not letting him steal it, Floyd cuts a chunk off his own tart and holds it up for Riddle to eat. "You know, she would be screamin' her head off even seeing you eat one of these. Like food can be 'bad' even if it tastes good. You're nothin' like her."

Riddle accepts the offered bite, carefully tucking his hair behind his ear as he leans forward to eat it off the other's fork. He also, rather insistently, threads his fingers between Floyd's, trapping the fork between their hands. Floyd laughs at that, too.

"You make it hard to eat when you do that." Riddle merely smiles back impishly, daring Floyd to figure it out. He truly brings out the playful side of him.

He hums thoughtfully, wiping his mouth with his napkin politely as Floyd unwedges the fork from between their hands so he can eat with his opposite hand. Riddle watches him finally take a large bite of his tart, thumb absentmindedly stroking along the back of Floyd's thumb.

"You know what else she wouldn't do?"

"Mm?"

"She wouldn't be considering having a discussion with Floyd Leech when we get home about if he would like to have kids together." Riddle's nerves get the best of him, as he speaks it, so he hears rather than sees the fork clatter to the table and him start coughing as he inhales the mouthful of food.

"Floyd!?" Riddle panics, reaching for the other. As if sensing the rising panic, Floyd squeezes their linked fingers and manages to clear his throat.

"For real?" Floyd manages, voice rough and croaky but not matching the way his eyes look at him so adoringly. Riddle sighs, smiling fondly at Floyd and shaking his head.

"Yes, for real. I wouldn't tease you like that."

Floyd barely manages to push his tart out of the way of his body as he leans across the table with ease and loops his arms around Riddle with an emotive, disbelieving cry of 'goldfishie!'

Flustered at the public affection, Riddle pats his arm gently.

"Floyd, eat your tart before I eat it for you."

"You can have the tart, I've got all I need right here~."

"Disgusting." Riddle rolls his eyes, but that doesn't stop him from reaching over and stealing the tart.

It takes some discussion, but they do decide that they're ready. They're not married, but close enough given how long they've been together. (Besides, marriage isn't really all that common for people from the Coral Sea and Riddle has never really had much need for there to be a wedding to know that there is a commitment.) They're both financially stable and are in stable living conditions. They are in the best place mentally that they've ever been in their lives... if there was a time, they felt like the best time would be now.

As for the child... They actually have some pretty similar ideas of what they'd be looking for. They both agree that they would like to adopt a child that's a little older (think between 4-12ish) and if possible they would like to have a girl. Floyd wants a girl because he likes girls fashion and he wants to help her find her own sense of fashion and... Riddle because teenage boys are insufferable. He should know. He went to a school literally just for teenage boys.

It takes some talking, but they decide it's for the best to adopt a human. Despite their outward appearances, they are an interspecies couple, and Floyd knowing the difficulties with coming on land as a teen he explains that he just simply can't expect that of a child. The first time shifting from a merperson to a human is deeply uncomfortable and can sometimes even be painful depending on how big of an anatomy change you have to go through. (He distinctly remembers Azul's transformation being worse than his own.) It might get a bit easier after you have time to adjust for that, but he knows it would be terrifying and traumatic for someone anyone that young. Besides, they already live on land, so it works out to be easier than moving to the sea. (Riddle would be willing, but Floyd doesn't want to do that to him either. Besides, he likes shoes, damn it, he's not giving it up to go back to the sea.)

The caveat is, of course, that Floyd's own parents would have to transform to see their grandchild, but somehow Floyd imagines that they would be more than willing. (They already love Riddle even if they accidentally scare the shit out of him sometimes, so Floyd can only imagine how much they will want to spoil their child. And that isn't counting Jade or Azul or any of their other friends.)

The adoption process is slow, but not as slow as it could be because they are considered common law married by the Queendom of Roses.

Once they do eventually get through the adoption process and get their child home, Floyd and Riddle definitely have some things that they have to teach themselves pretty fast that don't come intuitively. Things like how to deal with a child's irrational fears, how to deal with tantrums, how to talk to them about hard questions, that sort of things.

Floyd is really good at the emotional side of things-- he's had years of dealing with his own fluctuating mood so he's good at teaching his kid ways to help talk themselves down when they're getting angry and how to talk themselves up when they're feeling low. He surprises Riddle with how unconditionally supportive he is (though Riddle supposes he's always been the same for him, so he shouldn't be too surprised). He's excellent at finding the right things to say when he needs to say them.

Riddle is great at the academic side of things. With him, it's not anything like his mother was-- his teaching is based on education and helping her to find what works for her. If she has a hard time learning something, he's great at finding a different method to teach her that clicks for her. He's also really good at teaching her how to be responsible and how to think critically and for herself. He never got that as a child, and he never wants her to enter a situation that she can't think through herself. God forbid she should ever feel that kind of pressure, but he thinks about his own overblot and feels like it's necessary for her to know how to step back and and look at a situation logically. He trusts Floyd to teach her how to handle the emotional part of it.

She loves them both, but she's definitely Floyd's little princess. Floyd adores her and spoils her rotten. Riddle has no objections because it's really sweet to watch how well he handles her and matches her energy.

She also loves uncle Jade and Azul. However, uncle Azul is never allowed to babysit because the last time he did, she tried to scam her schoolmates out of money.

Uncle Trey is fun too, and brings her a bunch of sugar and then bails. Riddle threatens to never let him over again, but Floyd had a lot of fun with it and ends up convincing Riddle to stop threatening to cut Trey out of his life over a goofy prank.

Probably the most difficult conversation that they have ever had to have with her was to explain why Grandma and Grandpa Leech visit but why grandma Rosehearts doesn't. Riddle and Floyd tackle that one together, Riddle explaining how his childhood was and Floyd stepping in to take over when he noticed Riddle was getting emotional. Of course there were questions about why and what kinds of things she did, and of course they didn't give her the nitty gritty, but it was enough for her to grasp it. She and Floyd wanted to snuggle Riddle that evening, so it ended up in Floyd and her falling asleep halfway through a movie, one on either side of Riddle.

a/n: hi everyone!! ‘love languages’ is based on a prompt i got from @bfharry as a part of #boyfriendathon ! i know its over, but i got this prompt from her so i didnt want to post this story without crediting her. also big thank you to @gohometoacactus for reading this first and giving me their opinion on it <333 here goes my first attempt at writing anything with smut in it :’)

Your Love Language was Acts of Service, and Harry picked up on that immediately.

Whenever you spent the night at his, he was always up before you no matter how early you thought you were getting up and had breakfast and coffee ready for you by the time you went downstairs. Whenever you were running low on the shampoo and conditioner that you kept in his bathroom, it was always replaced the next time you spent the night. He had a warm towel ready for you whenever you got out of the shower, and he’d give you back and foot massages after a long day. If you happened to let your day get away from you and didn’t have time to complete your errands, such as the grocery shopping you’d been putting off for almost a week, Harry would get enough groceries delivered to you for a household of 6 people-- even though it was just you and your roommate. When you would complain about how all the produce he got you would go bad before the two of you could eat all of it, he’d tell you he couldn’t bear the thought of you at your place hungry, even though you were content with ordering take-out until you got around to it.

Harry’s Love Language on the other hand, was Words of Affirmation.

At first, you felt you were being disingenuous. Did he really need to hear you tell him how much you appreciate him multiple times a day? Doesn’t that go without saying? Still, you’d shower Harry with sweet compliments almost to the point where it was gross, but he loved it.

“I love it when you cook for me, baby.”

“Did I tell you how grateful I am for you today?”

“I’m so proud of you, Harry.”

“Thank you for loving me the way you do.”

Whenever you’d tell these affirmations to Harry, the tips of his ears would turn red, dimples poking out. Even though he acted all shy, you knew there was nothing he loved more. He told you before that he felt that his previous partners didn’t understand his love language, and it made him feel like a certain level of intimacy was always missing in their relationship. Your heart broke when he told you one night while cuddled up next to him, “S’just, I always felt like I was puttin’ in so much work to make ‘em happy. But I felt like it wasn’t reciprocated, y’know? So thank yeh for makin’ me feel like the luckiest guy on earth every day. Don’ know how I got so lucky.”

Harry’s Love Language also transferred over into the bedroom. He had a praise kink that was something fierce, loving it when you would tell him how good he made you feel, how no one else could make you come the way he did, how there was no one else you’d rather have fuck you. The words of praise rolled off your tongue so easy whenever you and Harry made love-- how could they not? You’ve never been with anyone that took the time to get to know your body better, to learn all the things that put you in a complete state of bliss and come undone so quickly.

“Feels s’good,” you’d moan in his ear, fingernails grazing along his back, legs wrapped around his hips. “Always feel so good inside me, Harry. No one’s better than you.”

This causes Harry’s pace to quicken slightly, seeking his release that you both knew was coming. “Yeh gonna come around m’cock, love? Gonna give me a good one? Tell me again how good I- shit,” Harry stops speaking abruptly as you squeeze tightly around his length. You look at him through hooded eyes and see him staring back at you with a concentrated look on his face. “Know yeh nearly there, love. Can feel ya. So wet f’me. Tell me how close I got ya.”

“So close, H,” you pull his head towards yours, peppering kisses along his jawline. “Your cock feels s’good inside me.”

To the person who send the vent about moving in with your autistic friend: you literally don't deserve any credit for not getting angry at her. It's the bare minimum:)))

Also the fact that you are relived now that you know that no one got frustrated or angry with her? Why moving her in a place where you weren't sure about that?

And lastly why would you share her struggles like that? She probably went through enough why would someone post that ?

(This is absolutely no hate to you,Sarah!! Much love to you and I don't see anything wrong with you being happy about that ask. These are just little things people do so often that annoy the shit out of me. Yes, the whole story, that they moved in together and everything is really wholesome and I wish them the best. 💙)

Anon, you're totally right about the first thing. As someone with autism, PTSD, etc., I'm so used to people getting upset with me and not being patient or understanding. I'm used to my own family and friends getting frustrated when I talk too much or too fast, or when I do the opposite and shut down completely.

So when I see people talking about or explaining how they were patient and kind, I tend to get overly excited/happy about it. Especially because all I can think about is how happy I feel when someone lets me stim, or when my brother texts me from across the room because he noticed I got quiet and I'm humming to myself to drown out noise (and he knows I can't talk so we message each other instead).

So, in the grand scheme of things, you technically shouldn't get a pat on the back or a gold star for being kind, because yes, it is the bare minimum. But then again, they don't really teach you how to handle when someone goes non-verbal in school, you know? My mom knew my brother was autistic and still had no clue on how to handle his outbursts or help when he was overstimulated. I learned how to help him on my own, just by observing and sitting with him (plus living with him for 15 years of his life probably helped, so I got to know him pretty well).

It's completely possible that the first Anon has never experienced seeing their ASD friend act like this before. And when someone locks themselves away, refuses to eat, refuses to speak—well, that can be scary and overwhelming when you don't know how to make it better. You can't just go into their space and make them come out, you know? So being patient, while being worried, and waiting for their friend to come out on their own was all they could really do.

To the second point: everyone with ASD is different (like every disorder, mental illness, disability, sexuality, etc), so I don't know how their friend handles change on a day-to-day basis, but for myself, I always hope that I will like the change and that I will have fun. Moving in with your friends is supposed to be fun! Going to college is fun! Picking out your room and decorations, making schedules, and getting to be an adult for the first time are fun and exciting! AND she was going it all with her friends! So, it's totally possible even she didn't know she was going to shut down as badly as she did until she was already moved in, when reality hit. I always want to go do big fun things, like go to the fair or the mall, but then once I'm there I get overwhelmed and need a break (sometimes before we even get started).

So, although I don't know their story, I can see how they didn't know they would have such a bad reaction to all that change at once until it was too late. And then Anon being relieved that nobody else was upset with her, in my opinion, is a good reaction and feeling to have, since they clearly care about their friend enough to hope that nobody saw her as a burden or was upset with her actions.

And the final point, this is the internet and it's anonymous. The chance that this anon's roommate is on Tumblr, follows my blog, and realizes this post is about them is slim. If that were the case, the only people who would know would be the original Anon and said roommate. That Anon wanted to share something that made them smile and feel good/happy, but clearly, they needed an anonymous way to do so, so they came to me. And I don't mind when people come to me with stuff like that! I love getting messages from people about whatever they're going through, good or bad.

Since they're going to college, I will go with the assumption that everyone in the household is young. 18-20-year-olds most likely, with no real-world experience just yet. They're learning new things every single day, and that includes how to understand their friend who happens to have autism.

So, Anon, I totally understand where you're coming from with this follow-up message to them. I get it! I see why you get annoyed and upset when it feels like people are only doing the bare minimum and expecting a reward. But I also like to hope that, maybe, this person is just starting out on their path to learning more about neurodivergent people (ASD, ADHD, OCD, ADD, etc), and mental health as a whole. And I want to encourage them to keep learning, to keep being patient, and to keep trying to understand those of us who don't quite think the same as everyone else.

Thank you for messaging me, really! /gen. I love that you're passionate about your feelings for this, and I love that you messaged me so you would be heard. I also love being able to talk about this stuff, even though I doubt anyone really reads it, lol.

We all wish the other Anon the best with their new move, their friend, and their college semester! And I love you both!! I hope you're having a wonderful day/night wherever you are!! <333

All about TOU’s

Hi Guys!

A friend of mine in our bloomingrosysims-Forum posted this today, and I want to share this with all of you! Because I think she is totally right! Thank you, Brigitte!

Here it is:

“I downloaded this cute little beach house. And the creator put all the links for the cc used underneath. So I went and clicked on every link.

Some worked, some did not. Some, you had to download the mesh somewhere else, sometimes I got lucky, sometimes I did not. I had a gazillion pages open on my screen, a lot flashing with advertisement, only to get to a mesh or an object. Some blogs had been removed, or moved somewhere else, or the links did not work.

I came across angry bloggers that took down all of their download links because of the "greed and disrespect" of people. Greed? What? Greed? I am downloading, I am not using a ton of advertisement links to get to my downloads. But flashing the blog at people "nananana....look what I have, but you can't have it, because you've been greedy and disrespectful". And people uuuhhhing and ahhhhing in the comments.

I have never been disrespectful, although my mother might disagree. I do want to say Thank You so many times. I love some of the cc I have collected so much, that I would take it out of my computer to hug it to pieces, if that were possible. But I am not going to register to a gazillion sites, tumblr and what not. On most pages you can not comment without registration.

TSR does not let me comment. I need to register. I do not want to register. I have a big screen. And my entire screen is full of advertisement if I download something for TSR. You are not getting my data. Period. Although they are probably collecting it anyways.

I don't even know what is being advertised, except on adfly when they sometimes show me naked women doing rumpy pumpy. That alone did not bother me, but they do not know who I am. I could be 14 years old. I could be seriously offended by seing such content.

I came across the following comment: " #im sry that im probably pissing some ppl off by putting all the cc in a folder #but im really so over all these sims 4 community rules #i love all of you creators tho you make the best job <333 "

And seriously: you can do this, but you can not do that. The next Creator: well you can do this, but you can not do that. The next one: do whatever you like. The next one: don't do anything.

Simsrocouted TOU: "Don't be a dick" Yes well......short and on point.

I do understand that creators want credit for their work. I am so happy when I come here and share a photo, just a simple photo, and I get such nice comments. And that must even be more true for creators that use their free time to create such beautiful things. Without them I would not love the game as much as I do.

I never change the file names. Most files contain the name of the creator. And I often go and search for their pages, by the name of the file. I avoid using my Patreon files. I haven been thinking about my garage appartment, because if I upload it, I need to take out the kitchen since it is a donation set from Simcredible.

If you wanted to honor every single TOU out there, it would take forever to sort out what can be uploaded and what can't. You would need separate mods folders. Or you would have to put links to all of the items. Or, if you do not want to go through all of that work, you can not upload houses. Or, while decorating, you would need to check if it is ok to use this one piece in a house intended for upload.

When I search for something I sometimes keep only one or two items out of sets. I rarely keep entire sets. I download things, I take my mods out of my game, put in the new ones, and I look at every piece and decide what I want to keep. I delete the rest.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

I admire each and every creator. I don't mind wading through their thousand windows and advertisement if I want something. I don't mind paying for something if I really want it. They have my highest respect. They give me something, that makes me love my game.

That being said, I am going to work on the credits for the houses I've uploade. I need to stay in the middle somewhere, sind neiter i.e. Simcredible nor Severinka want their cc to be reuploaded. Not sure what to do with all of these little pieces that I have no idea where I got them from.

I just typed down my thoughts, as they went through my head while downloading stuff for this little house. Now I am going to wade through a ton of cc :-D which is actually something I love doing.”

I agree with her. Thats one of the reasons I don’t build houses for download. I would going crazy with all of this. Maybe...just maybe she can reach a few people with her posting!

So I actually liked vld season 7

Some of it anyway. I still have some beef with it. Normally I don’t really post my thoughts but I wanna get it out of my chest c: gonna stick just to the Good Things on this post since it got out of hand!

So many good things honestly.

• FIRST OF ALL: THE MUSIC! THE ANIMATION! THE BACKGROUNDS! THE CHOREOGRAPHY!! More than any plot these workers deserve so much credit <333

• Everything about episode 1. From learning of the beginning of Keith’s and Shiro’s friendship to the shenanigans with the yelmore. As a med student though, I wish they would explain a bit more about this mysterious disease he had and why is it apparently “gone” now.

• Cosmo. Everything about this space pupper. I love that he’s being included far more than the other pets because it was always pretty clear to me he’s very protective of keith and doesn’t appear to like leaving his owner’s side. ALSO I LOVE HOW BIG HE IS. HE’S BIGGER THAN PIDGE IN SOME SHOTS.

• I’m digging the Generals’ new outfits. Noice.

• LANCE DEFENDING PIDGE. Yes yes yes. I love how much he cares for her. I really wish she had become his love interest instead of Allura. Still! They had quite a few sweet moments c:

• Space mice are back to helping the team too heck yes

• “The Feud” is both kinda endearing but also my least favorite episode of the series. Since this part is about the good things: Everything about Lotor. Zarkon calling Lotor names. It was so DOTU I loved it so much

• THE DRUID IS BACK!! I loved that the druid was back. I really really wish they had expanded on WHY the druids are like that and HOW do they get their powers. They appear Galra. Are they a breed Haggar experimented on? They seem to almost idolize her. Gimme more info on the quiznaking Druids season 8 plEASE

• KEITHS WEIRD QUINTESSENCE POWERS VOLTRON PLEASE -PLEASE- EXPLAIN - as a side note I 110% believe the purple quintessence coming from Keith’s hands in when he unlocks Black’s wings in season 6 is that very power of his, not Shiro’s spirit or whatever

• Keith’s and Krolia’s goodbye. It was so emotional. I love that Keith has the maturity to understand that she has to leave- not because of a “mission” but because so many Blades she was shown to CARE FOR were gone. For all the “greater good” the Blades were about, they did seem to care. I love how gentle Krolia was with Kolivan too. I wonder if Kolivan is the Shiro to Krolia’s Keith.

• I originally had mixed feelings about the Floating In Space episode because both Keith and Allura felt OOC at first. But y'know what? I’ve come to like it. Keith had been acting like the Perfect Leader™ since he came back, as if his issues had all faded away when he and Black really became a team. But truth is, they weren’t. Keith was responsible for his team now, and they were floating in space, nearly dying, and the paladins were talking about QUITTING. Keith didn’t do his job well enough. Keith failed, failed them and FAILED as a leader, or so he felt: he let them down JUST LIKE IN SEASON 4 and now they’d all die. He was tired and not thinking properly so OF COURSE his basic instinct flared up: “leave them so they wont kick me out first”. As someone who likes the idea of keith and allura together, I really didn’t get Keith’s sudden outburst against Alfor, but… He might have done it to push Allura’s buttons. He KNOWS her, he KNOWS she’s the one who would argue the most (like in s4), so he instinctively tries to get her off him already- and because he knows her so well he goes for something that he knows is a low blow. Thing is, that made Allura’s own hurt feelings flare up (and the rest of the team’s). Allura might have understood where he was coming from in s4, but she was clearly sad that he still chose the Marmora over them. Even if she GETS it, it still HURTS. The whole team HURT. And now Keith was trying to push them away AGAIN. They were PISSED. They had trusted him 100% even though he abandoned them and now he was leaving again?!

BUT THEN!! DEVELOPMENT!! This time team Voltron WILL NOT let Keith go. Will NOT kick him out no matter how hard Keith tries to make them do it (thanks Hunk!!). And that helps Keith to FINALLY admit how much he cares and allows him to put them right up there with Shiro and Krolia when it comes to people HE wont give up on, people he now KNOWS wont give up on him. He may have called them “friends” but.. Keith isn’t that good with expressing how much he cares. He’s always a little hesitant when it comes to sharing his feelings (you’re LIKE a brother to me vs you’re MY BROTHER). He does mean family. He’s just being Keith :)

• I actually genuinely liked the Earth two-parter. I never thought Sam could carry an episode like that but damn. U go babe. I loved Colleen too. AND VERONICA YEA GIRL

• Kincaid and Griffin OWN MY HEART I SWEAR-

• Bless non-evil-Galra-Prince AJ LoCascio. Even though I got whiplash in some scenes like “wait he sounds like Lotor wtq” most of the times I didn’t even notice. So glad they decided to keep him around! He has a superb voice.

• Katie reuniting with her family!! LANCE reuniting with his family!! “uncle lance” yes pls ;w;

• Hunk’s flashbacks ;-; I feel so bad for the baby I’m so glad his family is safe now. I loved seeing how cooking isn’t really just for food when it comes to Hunk, I love that his mom and aunt (i’m assuming??) actually let us viewers understand that every time hunk cooks he’s more interested in sharing company and spending time together. Just. Yes <3

• Iverson apologizing to Keith + petting Cosmo heck yea. Griffin and Keith ignoring their differences, nice.

• KEITH COMFORTING HUNK. He might not be as comfortable saying emotional words like “love” or “family” to the team as he is around Shiro and Krolia (understandably), but you can see he cares just as much. Also YES let him be hugged more. He clearly loves it.

• All those conformations of paladins!! Keith/Pidge/Allura -> Pidge and Keith. Yes!! Keith and Hunk! Lance and Hunk!! A+ hell yea

• All the shoutouts to previous seasons!! The reflective shields from S6ep1. Keith understanding sign language this time!! Pidge distracting the guards by being silly (but in a very Pidge way) while Keith goes around like in season 1!!!

• Really nice touch of having Allura give up the crystal in her tiara to save Shiro. Their friendship is so precious <3 Also bonus points since this was likely what allowed Shiro to sense Atlas’ quintessence- the new arm still DOES have a connection to his brain so, like, so does the crystal :’D

• Speaking of Atlas, I’m neutral on it? So long as it doesn’t keep showing up as a robot I’m good. I just don’t get why it gets defense upgrade when it turns into a robot? Regardless though, it seems wayyy too big and clumsy. So hopefully it’ll remain just a ship in most eps.

• I did love the smaller earth fighters tho! Blonde + Freckles Whose Name I Can’t Spell Sorry grew on me. Also, ships’ designs are awesome. Honestly so long as Earth Team doesn’t end up in the LIONS I’d be happy. I feel like they might though. Oh well.

• LANCE. JUST HOW MUCH LANCE MATURED. THIS WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT THIS SEASON. He barely joked around this time!! He really showed how he supports the team. I LOVE to see Keith depending on and trusting Lance to be his second in command. THAT’S what I always wanted for the two of them. - Bonus: I loved how Keith fell back for a second on his old habits by going all “don’t miss the shot” or whatever cause really that’s exactly what their rivalry was about. Early Series Lance would get back at him without batting an eye. But he remained focused and alert! Lance’s development is more subtle but this is EXACTLY the same point Keith was when Kuron started calling him worthless. Keith had GROWN, and those things didn’t bother him anymore. Likewise, Lance has GROWN. He’s an adult who takes things seriously now and doesn’t waste time with silly bickering. Just. Yes. While lowkey, this is just as satisfying to me because unlike Keith we actually SAW all the stages of Lance’s growth. (We didn’t see all the conversations Keith and Krolia had on the space whale). Just. Lance. Bless him.

• I still prefer Sendak’s season 1 design. That said, he was a marvelous villain- more than any other he really represented all that was evil in the Galra Empire so I enjoyed him. Zarkon was into the lions for personal reasons, Haggar is more about the Altean thing, Lotor didn’t really care for Voltron since he built Sincline. So yea. I didn’t expect him to be the main villain but I don’t mind.

• Speaking of which, loved the Sendak/Shiro fight! It really felt like all that encompassed the Paladins vs all that encompassed the Galra. And even though I actually didn’t like that Keith was the one to deal the final blow, Keith IS a mix of Galra/Paladin who has good intentions. So… like Lance said early in the season. He’s the future.

• not so sure what to think of the final EP and that weird robot but eh. Assuming it’s from Honerva, I DID like how it showed that Honerva IS different than Haggar… And more dangerous. This was literally a Haggar Robeast but upgraded, because YEA Honerva is much better than her quintessence-cursed counterpart.

• THE FAMILIES!! Shay!! Y'know I’m not usually a multishipper - actually I’ve never done it before - but I love both hunay and hunelle. I’m totally ok with hunelle in an AU and hunay in voltron canon (Hunk clearly cares for her so much that even though I prefer Romelle I can’t go against that precious bean teary smile when Shay showed up.). Besides!! Platonic hunelle is really precious too. ALSO ALSO KOLIVAN AND KROLIA and Krolia is wearing a Leader's version of the BoM suit?? NICE

• Matt is back and looks more handsome than ever! I love the ponytail. I love his design. And his colors. And his new girlfriend?? If I remember correctly from the Naxzela episode the helmeted alien sounded like a girl. ALSO ARE THOSE PUPS BESIDES OLIA HER KIDS?? PRECIOUS PUPPERS

• ROMELLE. we need more of her gdi-

• Lastly, another of my favorite bits: Piloting the Lions through their bond. It just goes so well with my headcanon that the quintessence of the pilot actually MERGES with the quintessence of the pilot, so much that when they’re connected like that even if the body dies the mind still goes on. The difference for me between this season and what Shiro went through is that the paladins still have their bodies to ground them and help them keep control, while Shiro was just… Lost in the astral plane, barely able to separate his consciousness from the Lion’s (so much that this only happened twice when the paladins were purposely trying to connect with his quintessence/spirit in the astral plane). It’s not as “romantic” as the whole ‘black SAVED SHIRO’ but I really think his time in the Black Lion was really unsettling: not being Shiro and not being Black, but some weird mix of the two (his sarcastic confusion towards lance early in the season also supports this: he wasn’t HIMSELF anymore. Thinking like a normal person and not like a robot is WEIRD for him). It’s a headcanon though but it’s mine and I will fight you on this (actually no pls don’t fight me).

*** Overall!! While not my favorite season (that’s 2 and 6), season 7 wasn’t BAD. Maybe I just had lower expectations since I spoiled myself out of anxiety. It wont be like s2 and s6 where I’ll binge watch the eps over and over again, but it’s pretty comfortable with s1 and s3 in “eh it was fine, ok, I like it”.

[That said, there WERE quite a few things that pissed me off about this season, but everyone is so negative rn and quite a few people already covered part of those reasons, so I wanted to post about good things!! I’ll probably do another post on the Bad Things of this season.]

I follow you because I’ve wanted to roleplay with you for a really long time and I love your writing style, it really captures ones attention (Or at least, it really hit the ‘read spot’ for me) Like, if you wrote a book I’d finish it in one night or two. >w< I think I actually stumbled upon your blog months ago (even before I decided to be a YM roleplayer) but you weren’t active tho even if you had been I wouldn’t know how to start a message.

Also I’ve always wanted to roleplay, or either witness a roleplay of Marik meeting himself and see what happens. And I really like your Marik and just... How you describe things in general but I’m repeating myself (Which is your fault because your writing is so awesome I have to empathize it >D)

Also your head-canons... HOW EVEN?!?! Like fffffff all the flawless effort and thought you put in them. You’re such a genious YM roleplayer never switch muse okay <333 And you as a whole person you are just a fantastic gem, I think you are super nice and you’re easily approachable for just about anything. Maybe you feel like I might be out of place to say this already, because we talked like... 2 times? But shush I am right. *nods* I just have such an outstanding feel for your dazzling and excellence.

Now, since you said I can type shit for your muse as well. This is for our darling Marik. The most exquisite, authentic and just flat out incredible-est character to ever have been created, in both the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! as well as all animes and cartoons combined altogether. There are only like 5 or 6 other characters in all my life of having watched cartoons of who I think they come close to him in terms of words I just used to describe him. But dear Marik will always, ALWAYS be number one for me.

I’d wish you would embrace your own bona fide nature and just generally how you are because I don’t think you come even close to nearly giving yourself credit for that. Do you understand your own transparency and how very damn likable you actually are despite your roots and how fucking legitimate and virtuous you are or do I need to keep repeating it to your face until you get it? Because I absolutely fucking will. Like... I know you know you’re amazing, but do you comprehend it? You don’t. You don’t. You don’t. You don’t. I don’t think you really do as much as S-O-C and I do. Like you are in the 5% of understanding your own sheer astoundingness and we’re like aware of it for the full 100%.

Oh gosh. Thank you so much. I’m just. Gonna roll around for a bit to try and express my happiness. Thank you.

But. Yeah. No, I knew this would happen if I posted this. And I feel really bad about this, but I don’t think I’d be able to do that.

I did try, to be fair. A few of the earliest readers of this suggested I try making a happy ending for it, but I just couldn’t get the words right, y’know? The mood didn’t play out the way I would have wanted it it.

If you’re curious about what that ending would have been, had the words been there, well. The plan was to have the reader to go back to their apartment with a little soul-searching on the walk over. Jacob comes over with the poor excuse that they had left their things at his place when they ran. He wants to talk about this, but he’ll wait until they’re ready.And they know they need to talk about it. Conversation turns to a soft, somber sort of thing. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“How could I have thought it would be reciprocated? I was…I was scared.” A pause. “To my credit, I did try, just. In a stupid way.”

”What way?”

It figures that the root of the twenty-some year problem would be in plants.

“The flowers.”

It doesn’t end with a kiss, but it does end with the truth out, and a lot of hope. Because Jacob does love the reader, he just (and this will probably sound callous and he would kick himself for admitting it) never gave them much thought when Olivia was in his life. But now he can take the steps to starting over, to loving again.

But yeah, that was the plan. Just a shame it never really worked out, I would have loved to be able to share all of it with you.

But hopefully this excerpt will appease? It’s just about the only thing I think I got right out of the entire screwed attempt of an ending.

You trace your gaze along the buildings, trying to distract yourself. That’s all it’ll take, you think to yourself, looking over the vines draped in metal hues over the walls of a pub on the corner you can’t quite remember seeing—at least not like that. Just keep walking, and you’ll be home soon enough.

It’s cold, but you’ll be home soon enough.

You’re scared, but you’ll be home soon enough…

…I suppose I am scared.

The recognition of the regret you’re feeling, the way you reacted, as though physically struck by the realization of you letting go of your secret, helps. A matter of understanding your racing heart and fleeing. Afraid of what?

Rejection, you decide. That was what you were always so afraid of in the first place, that was what kept you in anonymity with the flowers on his desk, with every single stupid message you knew he wouldn’t understand and doubted he would appreciate.

Another storefront, another street to cross, evaluating your own weaknesses left you at the foot of your own building, climbing the stairs to your apartment as you wondered, even if Olivia hadn’t shown up, even if Olivia hadn’t had more courage in her than you know you ever would, even if Olivia hadn’t fallen in love as hard as you let yourself, would you have ever been able to get enough strength to tell him your feelings beyond the bouquets?

…Olivia…

She, too, was something you feared, though you would never admit that, even as you were looking back on every mistake you had made with Jacob, unlocking the door to your home and ducking inside. She was your friend, you cared so dearly for her. She gave you so much happiness, and you knew that she had done what you probably never would have and gave him so much happiness, too.

But you weren’t afraid of her when she was alive. You were afraid of her when she died.

Because you weren’t around for her some eighteen years ago, had she died for your hurt? Because of the jealously forming callouses on your heart, how much blame do you have?

…You try not to think of yourself taking the blame so much. You kneel as you set and poke into life a fire, pushing away the chill of the air before you, and stand to walk into your kitchen and set on the kettle. You pull out one of your notepads as you feel the room warming up and survey the work you had done for your patients.

Seven-hundred repetitions of the same mantra, it wasn’t your fault, it was never your fault, it can’t have been your fault, and all it takes is one slip, one doubt, and suddenly everything has to be built up again, and you can barely bring yourself to look at your reflection.

You should have been there, you should have been there, you should have been there.

You can feel your hands clench around your cup as you take it and place it on the counter, and you can almost feel the sticky, stiffening blood dried all over them, how long have you been trying to get clean?

Why did you abandon her? Why couldn’t you have had the courage for once to give him a chance at happiness?

Deep breaths, just keep breathing, the clenching in your chest will go away soon, just keep breathing.

Hi Anna, =333= and hugs I’ve been pondering on it for several days now, discussed with random people, still couldn’t let go and I feel I’ve fell out of love of the show, this’s got to be a long one, sorry

First, about the wandering around London part, tbh I hardly recognized Mycroft in these two episodes, he just seemed so sloppy, not doing anything but let things happen. Sherlock was high as a kite, and went rogue as he said, apparently with someone, and he didn’t even think about checking it up, but phoned John Watson instead? Now who’s shipping Johnlock 🙄 Then the drug burst, his brother caused a scene because he was high, but he hadn’t been hallucinating, someone WAS there that night. I know Sherlock had been planning along, putting himself into extremely dangerous situation to let John save him. But it’s only when he saw the note at the end of the episode that he realized it had been true. I agree with the idea that Sherlock was manipulated into taking the case, also because of the note. Culverton Smith got the note from his daughter, the safest way was to burn it, not keeping it somewhere that people, like Eurus would get a hold of it. So I think it’s them Eurus/Moriaty/Culverton Smith planned and presented it to Sherlock. So I don’t think it’s planned that Mycroft was pretending he believed Sherlock had just been high, did the drug bust, took John to Baker Street so that he could read the disc. It’s very careless of Mycroft.

Also, I think Sherlock had believed in the meeting with “the daughter” before he saw the actual daughter, and that’s the whole point, if Eurus hadn’t been convincing, Sherlock wouldn’t have been lured to the case. So, how had he been able to make the plan to put the bug in John’s cane? Because if the daughter had been true and walked into the morgue, no matter what happened, it probably wouldn’t be that easy to end up with John beating up Sherlock so hard that he needed to stay in the hospital. It’s too much a stretch to me.

And, there’s this thing that has been bothering me since season 3, in the trailer, there’s this line, that Sherlock’s (?) demon has been waiting for a very long time. Could that be something very bad happen between Sherlock and the other when they were very young? But one thing still doesn’t make much sense to me, their parents. Hope I didn’t get it wrong, I think it’s from Mark that he/they thought the parents were just some brilliant yet ordinary people. They seemed very loving couple and parents to me, and the idea that these loving parents had these children, Mycroft (caring is not and advantage), Sherlock (drug addict, self-proclaimed sociopath) and Eurus (probably criminal mastermind) troubles me. There’s always such a big gap between each season, it makes me feel that they didn’t think it through in the first place, only write whatever they seem fit at the moment when new season comes. And it doesn’t always work well. Like Mary, it probably was great fun to give her a back story like that, wrote her as this BAMF, highly intelligent assassin, but then, there was no way she would have a happy ending, her past definitely would come back to haunt her. It’s doomed. And it would not just be her, but her family also, including John Watson and their baby. Then everyone just acted like they COULD have it. Sherlock got shot and nearly died and committed murder for, this?? Is it not too naive? Then John, John Watson, it’s not easy to find a woman who fitted him like Mary did, knew his addiction to danger, who not only didn’t blame him but encourage him and enjoyed it as much as he did. He had this marriage, this relationship, that his one and only best friend almost died, shall we say three times for, and he cheated. This doesn’t make sense to me also. I know John suffered a lot, his mental health was very poor after Mary died, I fully understand the urge and that he actually did beat Sherlock up, but like that? the kicking? NO, it’s NOT OK. Because he was letting his hurt and grief and guilt out on Sherlock and it also showed me that he didn’t trust Sherlock, he thought Sherlock had just been hallucinating. Where had the man who said nobody can fake being such an annoying dick all the time gone? Sherlock had made planned three weeks ago, he knew John just that well, while John didn’t seem like know him anymore. It’s so one sided. Why John Watson, a caretaker and a solider has become this man who is the one always needs to be taking care of, to be protected, to be saved? While Sherlock Holmes has been making progress, on his way to become a great man, John Watson seems like going backwards, becomes more stubborn and self-centered. This is not the show and characters I fell in love with. Sorry for the rant Anna, I know everyone perceive things differently, I’m just feel a bit sad the characters I once loved feel so different to me now : ( And I know I sound quite stubborn, I’m, I’ve got quite worked up, but for all of my thoughts about the plot the characters, please let me know if you have different opinion, I’d like to hear them very much.

But these are all about the writing and the direction they want to take the characters, the actings are always good. And it certainly is fun that the other is a “sister. There’s always something.”

First off, let me just say I’m reserving judgement for this season until everything is said and done and I see the Hartswood West logo go up on my TV. And then I’ll wait a few more seconds, just in case there’s another post-credits gift from Moftiss.

So far, the fourth season has been very challenging for me. This is the first time I’ve actually had to wait a week between episodes, so the theorising and the speculation and hunting for clues has been as entertaining as it has been annoying for me personally. It was so much easier just popping the next DVD in and watching the whole thing unfold before my eyes, one episode after the other.

Anyway, I’m not going to go into anything else because I’m about to make your submission even longer with my reply, but I do want to address the part about Mycroft letting things slide and seemingly not having everything under control over TLD. It’s something that’s been bothering me to no end as it’s very unlike Mycroft to not have full control; especially when his brother is spiralling out of control.

So... I have a theory.

What if Sherlock never actually used drugs during TLD, but was only just pretending? What if it’s a long game that Mycroft has been in on from the very start to draw out Eurus? IF Eurus is indeed the third Holmes sibling, it makes very little sense that Sherlock wouldn’t be able to recognise her, even if he hasn’t seen her in years and even if he was drugged during the night they spent together walking around London. This is Sherlock we’re talking about. And let’s not forget he’s got the post humus game from Moriarty weighing on his mind, so he knows there’s imminent danger round the corner.

Furthermore, this is the first time that I can remember in the show that Mycroft hasn’t been able to monitor his brother using CCTV cameras. One would think Mycroft would be paying even closer attention knowing Sherlock is drugged up again, out of control and without his best friend to look after him.

To me at least, it’s far more plausible that Sherlock and Mycroft have devised a plan where Sherlock is pretending to be drugged out of his mind, Mycroft is letting things slide on purpose, and Eurus would feel safe enough to come out and play.

The fact that Sherlock had to “go to hell” to allow John to save him is just an unhappy coincidence and it means that the latter couldn’t be let in on the plan. Which brings me to why Molly was summoned to the therapist’s office to confirm that Sherlock was using.

What kind of an examination can one conduct in an ambulance to ascertain whether someone’s using? Are we supposed to presume Sherlock peed in a jar and Molly made a quick analysis of the sample on the move? What could she possibly deduce that John, another doctor, wasn’t capable of deducing?

We know by now that everybody lies on this show. Molly has proven herself to be trustworthy enough by keeping Sherlock’s secret for the two years he was supposedly dead and taking down Moriarty’s web, so it’s not really a stretch of the imagination that she’d agree to push the drugs lie as well. What better way for no one to question whether Sherlock was actually doing drugs than to have the lovestruck woman who’s constantly worried over his well being and who slapped him silly during HLV because he was “throwing away the beautiful gifts he was born with” confirm he was using?

That would give Sherlock and Mycroft an advantage over Eurus / Sherrinford to be two steps ahead of the latter and play their long game instead. We know Sherlock (and presumably Mycroft judging by TEH) love their backup plans.

Anyway, perhaps it’s a crazy theory on my part, but I just don’t see Sherlock and Mycroft being that careless. Especially with Mycroft confirming repeatedly that he’s speaking to Sherrinford during the past two episodes. We’ll see.

Personally I can’t wait to see how Moftiss are going to tie everything together. Less than 48 hours to go now :D

The Biblical Gospel

Understanding the true Gospel makes identifying false gospels easy. Therefore, we’ll start with the true Gospel according to God’s Word. Romans 1-4 is where there Gospel is clearly articulated in the Bible. We’ve covered this in detail in BeGospel Clear, so we’ll be brief here. The Gospel according to God’s Word in Romans 1-4 is this:

God is Holy – He cannot allow any sin in His presence and must judge all sin.

We Are Sinners – We deserve the punishment of eternal death for our sin.

Jesus Died for Our Sin – He paid for all of our sins in full.

Our Part is Faith Alone – When we trust that Jesus paid for our sin in full, His payment is applied to our lives. We are forgiven. We are also given the righteousness of Christ as a free gift. This righteousness is credited or imputed to our account. We did not earn this righteousness, nor do we deserve it. It is a free gift given by “grace.” Grace simply means “undeserved and unmerited favor.”

The Teaching of Mormonism on Salvation

In order to accurately understand the teachings of Mormonism, we need to consult their sources of doctrine.These are the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. Here are a few quotes from their sources about how someone can be saved:

“For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do,” (The Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 25:23)

“Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God” (The Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:32).

The 13th President of the Mormon Church, Ezra Taft Benson, said, “What is meant by ‘after all we can do’? ‘After all we can do’ includes extending our best effort. ‘After all we can do’ includes living His commandments. ‘After all we can do’ includes loving our fellowmen and praying for those who regard us as their adversary. ‘After all we can do’ means clothing the naked, feeding the hungry, visiting the sick and giving ‘succor [to] those who stand in need of [our] succor’ (Mosiah 4:15)-remembering that what we do unto one of the least of God’s children, we do unto Him (see Matthew 25:34-40; D&C 42:38). ‘After all we can do’ means leading chaste, clean, pure lives, being scrupulously honest in all our dealings and treating others the way we would want to be treated” (The Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p.354. Brackets in original).

Works Gospel

It is clear from their teachings that they teach that salvation is by faith and works. This is in direct conflict with God’s Word, which teaches salvation by faith apart from works:

“For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.” Romans 3:28

“Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness” Romans 4:4-5

“Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.” Galatians 3:21

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

False God

God used to be a man on another planet, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321; Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, vol. 5, p. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, p. 345; Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333).

“The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s . . . ” (D&C 130:22).

God is in the form of a man, (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 3).

“God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!!! . . . We have imagined that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see,” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345).

God the Father had a Father, (Joseph Smith, History of the Church, vol. 6, p. 476; Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, vol. 5, p. 19; Milton Hunter, First Council of the Seventy, Gospel through the Ages, p. 104-105).

God resides near a star called Kolob, (Pearl of Great Price, p. 34-35; Mormon Doctrine, p. 428).

God had sexual relations with Mary to make the body of Jesus, (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, 1857, p. 218; vol. 8, p. 115). This one is disputed among many Mormons and not always ‘officially’ taught and believed. Nevertheless, Young, the 2nd prophet of the Mormon church taught it.

This contradicts God’s word, which teaches that there is one God who is everlasting, a spirit, and never had relations with Mary:

“‘You are My witnesses,’ declares the Lord, ‘And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me.” Isaiah 43:10

“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

“Now the birth of Jesus [r]Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 1:18

False Jesus

Some of Mormonism’s false teachings about Jesus include:

The first spirit to be born in heaven was Jesus, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 129).

Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163; Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15).

Jesus’ sacrifice was not able to cleanse us from all our sins, (murder and repeated adultery are exceptions), (Journal of Discourses, vol. 3, 1856, p. 247).

God’s Word teaches us that Jesus is God in the flesh, the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.” John 1:1-3

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

Since Mormonism teaches a false god and a false Jesus, as well as, a false means of salvation (by works) it is therefore…(you guessed it) false!

After you become a good Mormon, you have the potential of becoming a god, (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345-347, 354.)

There is a mother god, (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 443).

God is married to his goddess wife and has spirit children, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 516).

There are three levels of heaven: telestial, terrestrial, and celestial, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 348).

A plan of salvation was needed for the people of earth so Jesus offered a plan to the Father and Satan offered a plan to the father but Jesus’ plan was accepted. In effect the Devil wanted to be the Savior of all Mankind and to “deny men their agency and to dethrone god,” (Mormon Doctrine, p. 193; Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 8).

There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p. 188).

Baptism for the dead, (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. II, p. 141). This is a practice of baptizing each other in place of non-Mormons who are now dead. Their belief is that in the afterlife, the “newly baptized” person will be able to enter into a higher level of Mormon heaven.

False Prophecies

“and I prophesy in the name of the Lord God of Israel, unless the United States redress the wrongs committed upon the Saints in the state of Missouri and punish the crimes committed by her officers that in a few years the government will be utterly overthrown and wasted, and there will not be so much as a potsherd left…” (History of the Church, vol. 5, p. 394, May 1843) – Joseph Smith
