FNAF SECURITY BREACH RUIN SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT
1: I really like Cassie, more than I expected to. One of my issues with FNAF was that the human characters don't really feel like characters in the games, more like prop pieces. But Cassie genuinely feels like a character that I want to see get a happy ending.
2: I went in expecting that if I saw Eclipse, he'd be a bastard, and instead was pleasantly surprised. He's my scrunkly :].
3: I really love the Roxy redemption we got!! She was genuinely kind and gentle with Cassie and I loved it.
4: I kept expecting the V.A.N.N.I mask to turn Cassie evil at some point, tho I did enjoy the return of Helpy.
5: At first I was soul crushed when I saw what had become of Freddy, but I saw online that he was a prototype and not good ol' Freddy, so :]
6: Pour one out for Monty I guess. Dude forgot he wasn't a real alligator.
7: Bonnie enjoyers got fed at what cost
8: Yeah no, I refuse to believe Gregory left Cassie to die.
Why would he guide her to the elevator in the first place if he was just gonna kill her off? He went through hell to make sure Freddy was ok, and he knew that guy for less than a day, he wouldn't leave his best friend to rot.
(maybe this is the inner Gregory fan talking, SO WHAT)
The Mimic wasn't shown to be destroyed, just escaped from, and we don't know how much control it had over the Pizzaplex, especially after Cassie freed it. Maybe it was what sent her crashing down.
Or that freaky rabbit (which I'm pretty sure is Afton) hacked the elevator to keep her down below (will elaborate on)
9: I believe the shot in game featuring Vanessa and Gregory confirms that the Princess Quest ending is the canon ending, and y'know what? I'm ok with that, I like the ending, it's got three stars, and the Encyclopedia said that was Gregory's good ending, so I had a feeling it was gonna go that way.
BUT! In that ending, it isn't made clear if by playing the game we killed Afton, or we simply freed Vanessa.
So, what if that glitchy rabbit is Afton, but his vessel wasn't complete, so he got stuck in the system, and the whole 'Vanny Network' thing he set up to try to replace her.
(we don't know how long it's been since the events of SB, and if the three stars ending is the canon ending, then we also don't know what destroyed the Pizzaplex)
Maybe Afton was in control of the elevator, and used Gregory's voice to trick Cassie (like some people were theorizing before the dlc came out) into believing Gregory betrayed her so he could turn her into his replacement Vanny and get her to make him real again.
Are points 8 & 9 a desperate ploy to not have Gregory be an asshole? Probably
Will that deter me? Absolutely not
Also if there is an answer as to how the Pizzaplex got destroyed in the TFTP books, don't spoil please, I've only read Lally's Game, the main reason I know what the Mimic is that SuperHorrorBro kept mentioning it during his playthrough so I checked the wiki.
Also if there are more endings to the DLC, please be cool about spoilers! I've only seen what SHB posted.
Anyways, those are my thoughts on Ruin.

As much as I like matpat I am dreading when he plays ruin because this is just going to fuel his 'gregory is evil' stich which I HATE.
Like, maybe stop demonizing this 9 year old. I get it, he has committed many crimes, as he should, and destroyed the glamrocks, but they can be FIXED. THEY ARE ROBOTS. THEY CAN BE PUT TOGETHER AGAIN AND ARE EVEN STILL FUNCTIONAL EVEN AFTER BEING SHATTERED.
You know who can't be fixed if he loses an arm or an eye? GREGORY (because he isn't a robot because FUCK THAT) like???
He is a homeless kid, of course he's going to be a brutal little shit and prioritizes survival against morals, he is on the fucking streets, and the animatronics have been trying to kill him for an entire night, making him run all across the PizzaPlex. You know how fucking big that place is!?
Also, him betraying Cassie makes zero sense for multiple reasons,
1: He went through fucking hell for Freddy and he only knew him for 6 hours, like. He was willing to steal a car and live with him on the road in one ending, tries to save him in the Afton ending, carries his head around, and is shown to cry when he's disassembled, something he is only seen to do in the Bad Ending or when Freddy is ok.
HE LITERALLY COMMITS MANSLAUGHTER IN ONE ENDING FOR HIS ROBOT-DAD FOR FUCKS SAKE.
Even when Freddy is possessed by Peepaw William, instead of trying to dismantle him, he tries to save him instead, when if it was any other animatronic he wouldn't have hesitated to destroy them.
Because of what the cutouts in Roxy Raceway tell us, Gregory and Cassie have a close friendship, him being the only one to show up to her birthday and giving her a napkin to clean up her tears. When you see his missing posters, you can see Cassie is crying, and due to him being homeless, she probably made those posters herself.
(which i am sorely disappointed if no one has made an angsty thing yet c'mon guys)
(I HC them as siblings, but I guess steel wool said fuck you entropy)
So why, if he was willing to do all of that for Freddy, where it was a plot point for all of the endings, would he betray Cassie and try to kill her? It doesn't make sense to me, adding onto my other point:
2: At the end, as everyone predicted, the mimic was pretending to be Gregory this entire time. I don't know why exactly it was luring cassie, probably to kill her or something, but the mimic is a whole other rant because it brings the books explicitly and that means GGY could be canon which. Ugh.
Anyways, it's revealed again to everyone's predictions, that Gregory isn't in the PizzaPlex, which I think is a missed opportunity but that's just me. Cassie escapes the Mimic and 'gregory' says that she awakened it (Afton) and then the elevator falls.
I see people saying that Gregory killed her, but my question is how?
If he isn't anywhere in the PizzaPlex, and can only see the layout, how was he able to cut the elevator wires if not physically present? Did he teleport? Did he magically get into the mainframe and somehow break it down? No.
In conclusion, if there's an installment following this it better not have a villain Gregory or I swear to God steel wool I am able to forgive you for hello neighbor I will NOT forgive you for that
EDIT: just some more things I want to add because MatPat is playing ruin and I am fueled with dread and excitement.
I see people bringing up the books and the whole patient 46 or 42 or 420 or whichever the fuck, which is still do not get, but I don't understand most things in this franchise anyways so.
Even if the mimic and GGY are canon, I still firmly believe that gregory's actions (if he did do them) were manipulated by William/Glitchtrap, with him being mind-controlled like Vanessa. If your going to demonize him for that, then you would have to do the same thing for Vanessa, who has canonically killed enough children to fill out a newspaper as seen in the Bad Ending when it's revealed Gregory is homeless.
(I don't know how or when old willy put his hands on my boy's mind, but It is not because he is a robot because he isn't. the only reason Freddy say's he's broken is because of censorship.
(PS, please stop censoring horror franchises unless it's actually depicts idk SA, talking to you Megan Is Missing. The original line was that gregory cut himself while in the vents. you didn't need to censor that idqbnofq)
Also, for people saying that Gregory is sadistic for destroying and harvesting the animatronics....
I see your point, and I raise that he is a homeless child who probably just got out of mind-control and is now being chased around a massive mall bigger than a 10 Walmart's and Targets put together, trying to escape 3 (4 and 5 if you count sun & moon and a hell of a lot more counting the security bots and damn endos) eight to seven foot hunks of heavy metal and sharp teeth capable of and known for destroying security bots because of Pizza and Jealousy Issues (Roxy and Chica) another that's infamous for destroying fences, his own room and is rumored/thought to have destroyed another robot, and a security guard who, (in yet again deleted voice lines that should have been in the game god damnit steel wool) he saw change into a skipping bunny with a kitchen knife all trying to kill him with only one protector for 6-7 hours straight with barely a moment to breathe.
What do you expect? him to be all "I'm so sorry *cries* let's all be friends!!" NO. in a better world and in a better made game maybe we could have that, but in this world no. Maybe he's a little remorseful, but in the way you kill a bug kind of remorseful.
Also, again, homeless children who probably had to raise themselves aren't going to be the most morally aware children, of course he's going to worry about his and the one person/robot who took care of him in a while above the ones who are attempting to murder him.

so... i have a theory
[for legal reasons this is satire]
click below to watch lexus lose her mind!! /hj
in fnaf the musical, afton killed missing kids, confirmed by glitchtrap in web of lies. he refers to afton as "...an upstanding business manager using his restaurant as cover to murder kids in his spare time."
and judging by the animatronics voices, and the fact that they act like kids, they are most likely the missing kids that afton killed. but they don't resent afton... or know his name for that matter. in web of lies, chica refers to afton as "the phone guy," showing that they don't know his name.
what if they lost their memory when they were killed and began possessing the animatronics?
also, at the end of the super cut, the animatronics make fnaf right? and the animatronics and nate and mark all escape the pizzaria together right? nate and mark wouldn't know what happened to them, but yk who would? yk who was employed at freddy's for the longest time and was probably onto afton, resulting in him getting killed? AJ.
back to the animatronics, at the end of night 5, afton dies in the fire. but he comes back. and so does springtrap. what if afton, knowing about remnant from the kids, and already dying once (matt said he stabs himself with a chainsaw, so it's to be assumed) came back AS AN ANIMATRONIC?!
BACK TO AJ, how would the animatronics make fnaf and know about their deaths if aj died? looking it up, and assuming authorities got there early enough, aj didnt die from the chainsaw, OR THE FIRE. so am i saying aj told the animatronics about what happened and they made a video game on it? yes. one of the names that afton goes by is scott cawthon, so why not use that name to remind afton about what he did?
back to afton, since afton lost his memory, there was still camera footage of him talking about his many names, since the police found them and arrested afton. two names being matpat and scott cawthon. if there's so many names, and the police wouldn't exactly know which one, they would ask afton right? leading afton to knowing that those two names have something to do with him losing his memory. afton not remembering anything, is declared insane and sent to a mental hospital, and shortly after is released. knowing those two names, he looks up scott cawthon and finds five nights at freddy's. using the name "matpat" for now on, he looks into the clues of fnaf to find out his own life story.
this is why no photos of scott cawthon exist, because scott doesn't exist, he's actually four puppet animatronics.
ALSO, this is why matpat doesn't ever sleep and why he only runs on artificial energy, aka diet coke.
ALSO since aj is alive and well he makes fnaf musical, and invites matpat to play as afton. but little does matpat know that he's playing as himself, reliving events of the past so aj can remind him what he did.
or aj had the animatronics make fnaf and he made the fnaf musical so matpat can go insane again, making another pizzaria, and giving aj his damn extra hours
BUT HEY THATS JUST A THEORY
Tumblr media
bonus: the insanity ending was the canon ending. matpat finally put together the pieces and not only found about his past, but he also found out that he came back as a robot. that's why he retired. also scott in the lore keeper ending is ai generated cuz like i said he isn't real
[this is a joke yall, matpat is very real, lexus hasn't lost it, and according to my logic on matpat being a robot (no sleep, soda fuel, and insanity) that would make me also a robot, and i'm NOT A ROBOT. DAPPER KINGDOM OPINIONS ASIDE IM NOT A ROBOT.]

This is a post about an AU that I, after long thinking, decided to just call "Rabbit Manager AU." The name is as silly as the concept itself :)
This AU shouldn't have been written about at all, but since my friends from abroad liked it, I decided to explain it a bit :)
Tumblr media
The AU starts to diverge from the canonical events since the moment William experienced death for the first time. Even though his body died (although the death of it was slow and extremely unpleasant), his soul still lived and re-attached itself to the corpse.
And oh boy, was he suffering. Of course, he was still haunted by the spirits that refused to move on. But eventually, during his "confinement" in the safe room while feeling like his soul was constantly being turned inside out and back again, he came to repentance.
(Yeah, in this AU William, on the contrary to the canon, actually took time that he had to process the weight of his past actions and come to a conclusion that he had done a huge oopsie. AND he did so in half shorter time - he was stuck there for only 15 years.)
The souls moved on; well, except for Cassidy. They weren't as vengeful as before, but still wanted to see Afton suffer. So, the whole "personal hell" concept isn't here, it's just the last remaining spirit cursing William to eternal life in this state and following him silently.
After the fire in Fazbear Frights that his son Michael (who is still a walking corpse in this AU) had caused, William was able to get rid of the now damaged outer shell of the costume. Then, what was left of him was an endoskeleton with mummified remains of his once human body attached to it.
Tumblr media
However, Michael wasn't lucky to get out of there alive. Since he had been animated only by the will to right his father's wrongs, for which the latter had repented, Michael had nothing to hold his spirit back from moving on to the afterlife.
William knew that there was nothing left of his previous life. Well, almost nothing - the only person from the past left alive(in normal sense) was Henry, who was still suffering from the consequences of William's past actions. That was the reason for Afton to come to him - he wanted to help Henry in order to atone for his atrocious deeds and end the whole story. However, he knew that his old friend would've never forgiven him, even if he crawled back to him on the knees. So, William changed his identity, adopting the name "Dave Miller." And, of course, he had to hide his body - long thick clothes, gloves, a wig and an odd bunny mask - all of that stuff. The latter was chosen to be specifically a bunny for no coincidence, as it both reminded him of his past and his duty and was fitting for the future workplace.
As for the main events of the AU, Henry is oblivious to the identity of his new employee on the position of a junior manager. However, once he finds out, things can get ugly for both of them.
Whew... that was a lot for an AU made for shits and giggles, right?
Now! I tried to think of what might still be unclear after all that's stated above. If you still got any questions, ask away! I'll edit the post and add the answers to this section!
Q: Does William feel pain?
A: Not physical. However, know that feeling when it's like your soul is being torn apart? Well, that's what he constantly feels due to overwhelming guilt and unseen presence of Cassidy. So, it's more like spiritual (?) or emotional (???) pain.
Q: Is he capable of communicating?
A: Ah, yes. He learned sign language since it was both hard for him to communicate with his voice (which sounds like wheezes of an old dying animal) and he's too afraid that his speech patterns and accent might give him away. However, I really don't think Henry understands sign language, so instead William/Dave communicates with him through short messages he writes in his notepad. Yes, he carries it with him at all times.
Q: How does William feel about his state?
A: Oh! He wants to f@¢#ing die. Cassidy won't let him, though. Again, the whole concept of them dragging William into his personal hell is replaced by making him suffer in his current pathetic existence.
Q: This mask looks familiar...
A: Yeah! It's based on various iterations of Michael's FFPS deisgn. I just took it and ran :)
Q: Will Henry find out? What'll happen?
A: I do not want to think about that. If he does indeed find out, I doubt he'll take such a revelation lightly. But at the same time I really want it all to end well...

FTF Shorts: Not Even Close
A vs show where the longer analysis and set up is skipped in order to briefly explain why a certain fight is nowhere near close.
This Week's Fighters...
Tumblr media
Freddy Krueger vs Bill Cipher!
Before we dive in, I'm gonna set some ground rules. I will be using every resource for Freddy, including non canonical materials. This is a complete composite, including non canon materials. Desd by Daylight, Freddy vs Jason vs Ash, New Nightmare, all of it. Just as I did for vs Afton. As long as it's official. Even though you can argue the entity in New Nightmare isn't technically Freddy Krueger, just a demon trapped in his stories, I'm still going to use it for arguments sake, as it really is just another version of Freddy at the end of the day.
Normally, I'd say the same goes for Bill but.... he doesn't really have any non canonical sources. I mean, there's the Simpsons cameo, I guess. Beyond that, no outside source is gonna give Bill anything he doesn't already have. Just know that the wider Gravity Falls multiverse is being considered for this matchup, even if it doesn't really change anything.
I'll also be assuming both characters are at their peaks for this confrontation, even if that means giving them equipment that they do not ordinarily have. Namely, Freddy has absorbed the Necronomicon and Bill has initiated Weirdmaggedon.
Power and Stats
No matter what canon you use for Freddy, he is very blatantly in the universe to low multiverse range. He was on the verge of becoming powerful enough to merge the Dream World, an entire universe parallel to our own, with our universe, effectively becoming god over it. With crossovers, he gets even higher. The Necronomicon has Cthulhu absorbed inside of it, who himself can fight against the creator of the entire universe.
Tumblr media
Despite knowing of these beings, numerous experts on the occult still consider Freddy the most powerful and feared supernatural being who's ever lived.
Tumblr media
In crossover games, he's fought against universe busting threats in the Mortal Kombat universe such as Shao Khan and was considered such a threat that the infinite multiverse spanning Entity of Dead by Daylight saw fit to reduce his powers.
New Nightmare caps all of this off by allowing Freddy to escape from the fiction he is in and kill the actors in his own movies, transcending his home reality.
The issue here is Bill has an equivalent or directly superior showing for each of these feats.
Time Baby described Bill Cipher's rift as eventually destroying the very fabric of existence. This would be at least universal on its face, as Bill's existence was powering the rift until his death caused it to close. But, he can get much, much more powerful than that.
Simply put, the Nightmare Realm that Bill resides in is much, much bigger than the Dream World that Freddy reigns over. The Nightmare Realm in fact connects to and transcends the entire multiverse of Gravity Falls, which itself contains infinite universes and parallel dimensions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moreover, the multiverse contains realms detailing higher dimensions, containing higher dimensional objects such as Penrose Stairs and Penrose Triangles, with Stanford's portal requiring 5th Dimensional calculus to master it.
Tumblr media
What does this mean? Well, here's a quick run down on higher dimensional theory. Effectively, imagine a 2-D stick figure on a flat surface. Imagine this being has infinite power, can warp reality to its whim, and is an invincible god in its home plane. Now imagine wiping it off the whiteboard with your sleeve.
Basically, higher dimensions are infinitely bigger than our own due to expanding in more dimensions than we can process or conceive. A infinitely long flat surface is still just a flat surface, incapable of harming us or even interacting with us beyond a very limited part of our being. Compared to a 5-D being, a 3-D being, even one with infinite power like Freddy, is just a stick figure.
Bill has consistent feats of being able to threaten this entire cosmology. He battled against the Shacktron, a mech powered by Stanford's portal, which itself shook the entire Nightmare Realm when powered on. Time Baby, a being formed in the crucible of the Multiverse, considered his Rift a threat to all existence. And during a fight with Time Baby before Weirdmaggedon, Bill and Time Baby had a fight that shook the playing card the entirety of existence is contained on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I emphasize, he did that prior to Weirdmaggedon. Even confided to the Nightmare Realm, Bill has a showing of power making him infinitely more powerful than Freddy.
If you want to argue the fourth wall breaking feat, than Bill has an answer for that too. Bill can exit the plot of the show to possess his own author Alex Hirsch and point blank breaks the fourth wall to try and possess you at homr when you read his book. So Bill can match that too.
In short, Bill is like a black hole, a 2-D being wielding effectively infinite amounts of higher dimensional energy, whereas Freddy is simply a 3-D being with infinite amounts of mere 3-D energy. While arguments for Bill's scaling can vary from 5-D to 12-D to 52-D to Infinite-D which is what Stanford calls his D, I'm going to skip on those here for simplicity's sake. Point is, higher dimensional power, Freddy ain't got that.
After all, power is only one part of the equation. Both of these beings are reality warping gods, after all, and while Bill may have higher dimensional levels of power, he isn't higher dimensional himself. Freddy should still have the capability to reality warp him, provided he's able to recognize the threat quick enough, right? I mean, we all know how cocky these two can be.
Intelligence
A good friend of mind once described Bill as "not being really smart, just knowing a lot of things about people and using that to his advantage". I wouldn't quite go that far. I'd describe him more as "high intelligence, low wisdom".
Simply put, both of these fighters have lost to beings they absolutely shouldn't be losing to due to their sheer hubris and childishness. That's not to disrespect the mortals who beat them. Ash Williams and Stanford Pines are monster hunting, dimension hopping badasses, Jason Voorhees is a nigh unstoppable undead monster, and Stanley Pines is a conman wanted in every state who rebuilt a 5 dimensional portal with a high school education while hiding from the feds. None of that changes the fact that reality warping immortal dream gods should not have lost to them. Not even Jason. It is purely overconfidence.
Freddy for his part is constantly finding work arounds for the limitations of his own powers, largely by trying to get people to remember him and his atrocities to keep the fear alive. His schemes range from possessing teenagers to go on a killing spree when he's otherwise preoccupied, reviving Jason Voorhees to make it seem like he's still around and killing, and trying to expand his influence in the real world past his small home town.
The issue is that Bill has been doing a lot of the same things for much longer. As a being who predates human history, Bill has been responsible for numerous atrocities, from the Black Death to the Aztec Blood sacrifices. He once turned an entire small town into a death cult and nearly got them to build an interdimensional portal out of spare scrap. Bill is able to manipulate people and even entire communities, where Freddy is a lone wolf who only ever teams up in the short term.
That's not to say that both haven't had their share of embarrassing moments. Like Bill getting trapped in an orb by a king or Freddy getting blackmailed by a fanboy into letting him become a sidekick. But, both are also above their mistakes at their best. As it stands, Bill is more experienced, more willing to manipulate as a go to, and more scientifically intelligent given his ability to guide others to build the portal.
The question is whether their own massive egos would undercut this. Which... it depends. For as much shit as they talk, both are willing to go for the kill immediately if they recognize the other guy as a threat and they definitely would here. A mere mortal meatsack Freddy may be, but he's a mortal who became a reality warping dream god after selling his soul to dream demons. Though Bill may underestimate Freddy at first, mistaking him for a mere "dream hipster", the second Freddy pulls out any reality warping bullshit, the gloves are coming off. See Bill vaporizing Time Baby.
And on Freddy's side... Bill is Bill. He's seen enough supernatural fuckery to at least peg him as a threat on sight.
I could definitely see a situation where one or the other gets an advantage and gets cocky enough to get left open, as both can have a habit of that. Which leads to....
Powers
The big question. Can they kill each other?
Both of these characters have equivalent powers that cancel each other out. Messing with minds, eating souls, transmuting matter, shapeshifting, illusion creation, and so on. Both characters even embody abstract ideas, continuing to exist so long as they are remembered and feared.
Both demons have also gone up against regular human beings who used their imaginations in the mental world to fight back, the Dream Warriors and the Mystery Shack crew. But, both times it was of limited success. The Dream Warriors got a few good hits on Freddy, but were pretty quickly cut to pieces once Freddy got serious, where the Mystery Shack crew did pretty well until Bill simply.... turned off their powers. Bill could've easily killed them right there if he wanted, but only kept them around because they might be useful later.
More than likely, this is going to rely on one character's ability to read the other's mind to gain an advantage. On that front, I kinda question if Freddy can read Bill's mind at all.
Bill's psychology is weird. He thinks his pain is hilarious, the sight of him taking off his exoskeleton drove McGucket insane, and, if you take him at his word, he's a being a pure energy who exists in a state of quantum uncertainty. He described being in the mindscape as "not existing" even. I question Freddy's ability to read the mind of a being who both does and doesn't exist when just the sight of him doing something weird can drive a genius like Fiddleford to erase his own memories. He's far more alien than anything Freddy's ever fought and I include Cthulhu in that.
Let's say Freddy can though. What information in Bill's mind would let Freddy win?
Bill's weakness to the memory gun
Bill is an idea, right? The only way he was defeated in the show was when the very memory of him was erased in someone else's mind. Freddy should have all the tools needed to replicate that, right?
Well, Bill isn't likely to leave himself vulnerable by entering Freddy's mind when he doesn't have to. Freddy doesn't have any information Bill would want and, even if he did, Freddy doesn't have a metal plate keeping him out. Bill can just read minds normally, he brought Mabel's thoughts to life with a finger snap. Why risk it?
Unicorn Hair shield
Assuming Freddy gleamed the information on how to make a shield to keep Bill out and then summoned up those materials with his reality warping powers, there's one problem with this approach. It would effect him too. The unicorn hair barrier doesn't just stop Bill, it stops all his reality warping phenomenon, including straight up deactivating a statue brought to life by him on contact.
Basically, Freddy makes a shield of it around himself and then he's stuck too. At worst, it might even deactivate his powers like it did the totem pole statue. And if Bill isn't strong enough to break through it, Freddy definitely can't either. Have fun ceasing to exist because you can't terrorize anyone anymore!
And that's assuming Freddy even can recreate the concoction. He's not the supergenius Ford is, and Bill might not even know how to make the shield himself since Bill didn't teach it to Ford.
Bill's Parents
Exploiting a victim's trauma to terrorize them is Freddy's MO, after all! Remember your beloved family, Bill? Remember how you killed them? Rockabye Billy~
The issue? Bill does not grieve the destruction of his home. That would require him to take responsibility and he's fundamentally incapable of that. He adamantly refuses to acknowledge that their deaths were even his fault. He "liberated". them. It's not his fault that they were ungrateful and died.
So, Bill's not gonna shrivel up like Jason Voorhees did. He's gonna flip his shit and turn the tables. In fact, let me tell you how that exchange would go.
"Daaaaw, poor baby Billy all alone in the world! Run home crying to Mommy and Daddy, right into their graves!!"
"Hilarious! I remember how my parents died. Wanna remember how you did, Fredrick?!"
Cause no matter what Freddy pulls up, Bill can do the same right back. Freddy has no resistance to mind manipulation, so Bill finding his traumas would be easy. This gives Bill the option of simply trapping him in a bubble reliving his own death forever. Or, failing that, simply nuking the Dream World utterly with sheer raw power, leaving Freddy with nowhere to respawn to. Bill has plenty of options to keep Freddy from coming back and any of Freddy's options are so highly circumstantial as to be meaningless. And that's assuming they'd work at all with the sheer power gap.
Conclusion
Freddy Krueger in this fight is effectively an infinitely weaker, dumber, and less experienced version of Bill who possesses all the same weaknesses that led to Bill's most embarrassing defeats. The sheer power gap and Bill possessing Freddy's same immortality leaves Freddy with little way of ending the fight conclusively, and that's being generous enough to say that his few options would hypothetically work on someone so powerful.
While Freddy's tricks may amuse Bill for awhile, Freddy's most proactive course of action here would only actively piss Bill off. For all of Freddy's abilities, Bill either has an answer or a flat out superior showing. And if Freddy did manage to incapacitate Bill somehow? He could genuinely just wait until Freddy lost his powers due to him having the Necronomicon here, prompting his masters to fire him. This removes everything Freddy created and reduces him to a normal man, trapping him with a now free, pissed off Bill.
No matter how you slice it, this is one nightmare Freddy Krueger won't wake up from.
This Throwdown's Winner is...

Okay so I had a little thought
This whole scene with the ghost kids is a dream that Mike is having.. BEAR with me (I'm so funny) because I'm so bad at writing ideas down in a way that makes any sense lmao
I'm assuming all of this happens pretty early ish into the movie btw
Tumblr media
So as we see, Mike ends up falling asleep on the job, what if he wakes up in that forest place? Maybe its where he grew up (aka the fnaf 4 house). It's somewhere familiar to him as well as a place he probably doesn't feel the safest at.
He then sees a little drawing of a rabbit (because foreshadowing) it also makes sense for all of this to be happening at what I assume is his childhood house because if William IS his father in this canon, it adds to the fact that the kids know who he is
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Only adding to his confusion, the ghost children show themselves to Mike via the dream, which is probably the only way he's able to see them, or this is just what he thinks the ghosts would look like (which would be way less cool).
Tumblr media
This seems to look like maybe a third sibling of the aftons? He's holding a plane and not foxy so I'm assuming this isn't foxys ghost, maybe his mother took him? Or maybe this is supposed to be Mike as a kid, leaving for some reason?
Tumblr media
Anyway, this shot pans out after some scary shit happens and then we are thrust back into where Mike wakes up and everything starts freaking out
Tumblr media
Which leads to Mike asking Vanessa about the history of the place and all that and BAM! You've got a cool scene!
Anyway take my shitty ramblings with a grain of salt, I'm just guessing shit!

anyway, have more...idk, niche?? obscure?? idk, these Rewrite headcanons are just random things that range from projection to things i think would be cool for them:
alright...ripping the band-aid off: Toxic Old Man Yaoi (it gets one-sided on William's end after...Y'know) is canon to the Rewrite. alright moving on-
(listen. i wasn't expecting to get into it. I Really Wasn't. and then it grew on me. and then i saw That One Line from the novels where someone stumbled on William's journals and read the parts about Henry and i just kinda went ??? oh so that's an actual line?? holy shit?? because i had seen someone post the line before but i didn't know if it was like. an actual line from the books. oh my lord.)
William wasn't exactly subtle, but unfortunately for him, Henry had the Autism Obliviousness (same here, bestie).
Claire, William's (now dead) wife, was actually aro, and viewed her and William's relationship as some sort of Lavender Marriage, because to her, she gets to raise the kids she wanted, and William gets to be gay for his business partner-
Anna also didn't mind too much, mostly because (unbeknownst to her at the time) she was a lesbian and already didn't really feel that way about Henry to begin with. she was more upset about the fact that Henry was so damn Oblivious.
Henry always struggled with his balance (i'm projecting), but before he got his cane, he'd lean on things for support or hold onto someone. Will would also help him get around by holding his arms or even hands. did i mention Will was not subtle.
William and Henry did Not have good childhoods. it's part of the reason why they're Like That with their own families (Henry being a good dad but a pushover, and William not being physically or verbally abusive, but being emotionally abusive instead because he's That paranoid about screwing up, and then ends up screwing up in another way).
William's obsession with rabbits and hares isn't purely a Special Interest thing (although that is a huge part of it), it's...also kinda partially something that came from some Childhood Trauma stuff, as well as kinda being a therian thing.
speaking of! 4/6 members of the Afton Household have some therian/otherkin shit going on. William is ockin (i don't think this one needs much explanation. like. i think the guy pretty much kins his own oc) and is a hare/rabbit therian. Michael is a dog/fox therian. Elizabeth is also a rabbit/hare therian. Cassidy is plushkin (look. do i even need to explain this one), and it's part of the reason he uses a lot of toy/broken toy metaphors for himself after he dies.
for William, being O'Hare was kind of this...escapism thing. he can be his true, genuine self and he isn't viewed as annoying for it. if anything, people find him lovable. he can be a playful silly hare and he's looked up to for it. but...after he becomes Springtrap, after years of being locked in a back room, stuck in building filled with spirits who either hate or fear him...at some point, William stops pretending he isn't a sadistic monster. it's hard to deny it. and so he doesn't. Springtrap is effectively William fully embracing being O'Hare....but becoming twisted at the same time, if that makes sense.
it's like...imagine you see this rotting green-yellow bunny that CLEARLY has a rotting corpse inside, but it's acting eerily cheerful and treating (checks notes) Chasing You Down With The Intent To Maim And/Or Murder You as a fun game you're both enjoying. yeah, by this point, William kinda Lost It (and by "kinda" i mean He 100% Did)
this is how several Fazbear employees died or Almost died by the way. Fazbear Entertainment owes them so much for therapy, both physical AND mental-
Michael struggles to figure out if he's dealing with Actual paranormal shit or if it's just hallucinations and stuff that he's having out of guilt and grief (USUALLY, it is the former)
Mike once dislocated one of his knees on the school playground back in elementary school (me projecting), and William practically spoiled him rotten during that time. Michael hated it, hated asking his father for help, hated being treated any different. but...with Charlie and his friends, it's like he was perfectly fine asking for help, welcoming of any assistance. oh well! i'm sure there's no deeper meaning to any of that- (something something "Fearing Dependency Yet Also Craving It")
Michael hates the fact he looks so similar to his father.
Jeremy's favorite song is "Mickey" by Toni Basil. take a wild guess why.
William and Cassidy are both technically nonbinary. William never figured it out because he never knew that there Were options besides Man and Woman. probably would've loved it/its pronouns. and neopronouns. Cassidy never figured it out for Obvious Reasons. look, both of them would've loved xenogenders and neopronouns. i honestly believe they would've loved those.
fun fact! Cassidy actually has a lot of similarities to William (of which i am All Too Happy to list. just say the word). uh...don't tell Cass that, though. it'd probably piss him off.
both Charlie and Mike inherited their dads' sexualities, technically (Henry and Charlie are Pan, Will and Mike are Bi).
Everyone's queer and a mess in so many different ways! William, just because you aren't hitting your children doesn't mean that you're a good dad. Stop. Read a parenting book. Actually, don't. I can't imagine 1970s-80s parenting books are that good for all that shit.

for your family business au: i think you said at one point that William uses remnant to stop the kids from aging, so they'll always be at ages where he can easily manipulate them? logically speaking i know it probably works where William has to keep injecting them with remnant to keep them young, so they would probably start aging as normal again once/if William dies, but it would be so funny if they were stuck as kids for the rest of their lives. for mike especially. imagine being 12-14 for the rest of your life, could not be me 😬
Oh yea no, they're actually stuck. I set it up that way for a few reasons:
1. William's experimentation on his kids was way more reckless than his self-experimentation. He tried to keep them alive, loyal, and somewhat functional, but, beyond that, he didn't account much for their wellbeing at all. The idea that they might have a problem with this not only didn't bother him— it didn't even occur to him.
2. I thought it would be interesting to parallel the ghost kids from canon and various AUs. They don't die, but they don't get to grow up, either.
3. I thought that William actually having some success in capping his children's independence would make a compelling trauma metaphor. The Afton kids can keep learning new things and bettering themselves and becoming more independent than they were, but their brains never get the chance to fully develop. They can go on to live happy lives, but they'll never be what they would have been without William doing this to them. Since trauma can physically damage the brain's development, which sometimes manifests as an apparent "freezing" of certain traits or skills, I figured I could just make it literal here, kind of like in Fox and Kit.
4. Them remaining kids adds a continued conflict after William's death: they can take care of their own basic needs– William sure as hell wasn't doing it for them– but should they be? It's an interesting thing to consider, because I don't think they'd end up killing Will until at least the nineties. Michael has been alive for, what, twenty-something years? He has that much life experience, but he has the impulse control of a 14 year old, the emotional intelligence of a 14 year old, and everything else that isn't just a learned skill of a 14 year old. This becomes even more drastic when looking at the younger two siblings: 10 and 7 or 8 (undecided on Evan still lmao)? That's a big gap in the functional ability of a brain.
5. In that case, who takes care of them? Henry? What about after he dies? Would they want that? Do they even have any other options?

Alchemists Apathy Character Bio: Henry Emily
My last chance to get something meaningful out before I post a special tomorrow
Tumblr media
Hey remember when I said I was doing William AND Henry character bios? Well, here he is. Henry Emily with... this design. Now tbh, call this a hot take, but I don't mind the design that much. The problem with it is that it highlights a bit of a goody two-shoes side to Henry rather than the morally gray man that both the games and the books paint him out to be. So while I would use this design as a base if I were an artist, I certainly wouldn't one hundred percent use it.
Once again, another brief character introduction. Henry Emily is the co-founder of Fredbear's Family Diner. He made the robots, William handled the business. He had a daughter in both the games and books, and a son in the books. Sammy does make an appearance in this AU, but not as a major player. Sorry all you Sammy fans, while I like the kid, I just didn't know what kind of story I wanted to tell with the kid. Anyway, this post is about Henry. Henry is the reason for Fredbear's creation, William handled the business and Henry made the robots. He also burnt William alongside the other Scrap Animatronics in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator. In the books, he's a deranged lunatic who made a robot version of his daughter, four versions of them actually, one ended up getting stolen by William. He then killed himself realizing what he had done. Henry's an interesting character and a lot of AU's like to paint him as this stand-up guy, the true hero behind everything... that's not the case here.
Let me get this out of the way, Henry is not a bad guy in canon, both games and books. He's the foil to William after all, but Henry isn't exactly the keen kind of guy Mr. "Let me trap The Puppet that I know houses my daughters soul in a black chubby bear and then shock her if she tries to escape". No wonder Charlie tries to kill you, probably getting tased so much she has to take her anger out on someone. Henry is a morally gray character, he's a good guy, but he's also done things that don't make him the exact perfect contrast to William's evil. Though, I have always liked the idea that some AU's give Henry. Though, my problems with Henry in other AU's stand from the fact that he doesn't usual get an inbetween. He's either a goody two shoes, or he's evil but not to the degree of evil like William. And the times he is morally gray? They kinda make him... basic. I plan to try and rectify that in a way. This AU's Henry is a little bit different.
Just like William, Henry was born at an unknown date at an unknown time. Henry's story is the exact opposite of William's in this AU. While William was the rich one who had everything he wanted and then some, Henry was often left alone with nothing. But his family was happy and that was always something to look forward too. Happiness. Taking an interest in old Disney and Mickey Mouse cartoons, Henry began to make up his own characters, taking inspiration from all different types of animals. Elephants, lions, penguins, all kinds of animals. Henry was truly inspired when he visited a local diner known as "Goldie's Paradise Diner". There, he was entranced by the magic of the mascot suits for the bear and the rabbit, and the third act that involved a jester and a wooden puppet. Henry would make his own designs for a golden bear and a golden rabbit, and around high school, met up with someone who was interested in the doodles. This was the start of the friendship between William Afton and Henry Emily. They even went to DisneyLand together once. By the time they got to college, Henry had fallen in love with a girl named Selina Kyle (haha Henry, you saved her from a life of crime in Gotham City). Selina and Henry fell in love as they both worked at an ice cream store together. Henry would eventually marry her out of college, but not before acing his final project in robotics by creating a prototype animatronic that was planned to be wearable. The prototype was scrapped later on in favor of better designs, Henry used his old drawings as a base and viola, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie were created.
If you didn't see it in the William bio, I'll reiterate it here. Sorry Willry fans, it's not happening in this AU. They got wives and that's good enough for them. If it's any consolation, Henry is Bisexual and William is Pansexual. Though, I imagine William and Henry being quite opposites from each other. While William is the egotist and views himself as better than everyone else, Henry fails to see his creations as good, and is constantly working on new projects involving animatronics to better himself, finally make something he's proud of. The moment Henry sees a flaw, he tries to fix it. He even tried making the springlocks not cause death... to no avail as he was springlocked one time. Luckily, he was rushed to the hospital and recovered. Though, the reason they knew he needed to go to the hospital was because his wife was pregnant with twins, Charlotte and Sammy Emily. Both of them were born one second away from each other, but Sammy was born first. Henry truly loved his family, he saw them as things to protect with all his life, unlike William, who could not give a flying fuck what happened to his family.
William and Henry are quite the polar opposites, Henry's shy, William's outgoing. William's an egotist, Henry puts himself down too much. The moment The Big Bite happened, Henry immediately shut down the location while William wanted to keep it open. Henry tried to find the flaw in Fredbear when William saw no flaws in the animatronic. Henry closed down Fredbear's and did everything in his power to forget about Fredbear's, it was where his daughter died after all. Henry was so focused in his work after that, wanting to make sure that the rest of his family was safe, but because he focused so much on their safety, he never spent any time with them and even forbid Sammy from going to Freddy's. Henry did abuse his children, but not like how William would. Henry at one point slapped Sammy away, and immediately felt pity over it. Simply telling him to go away in a calm voice. One day, Selina and Sammy were gone, divorce papers were on the table, already signed. Henry was left alone, and the worst part was that he got a call from the police, asking him to see them. Henry was a suspect in the missing children's case alongside many others. Eric Smith, Ralph Gardner, and his partner William Afton. They were all let go due to lack of evidence but at least a month later, William and Henry were fired from Fazbear Enterprises after a restructuring of Fazbear Entertainment. Henry sadly took his things and left the next day, planning on trying to move on from Fazbear Entertainment. He tried to get in contact with his wife and son, but he couldn't find them.
Henry turned back to the only thing he knew would comfort him, animatronics. More springlock characters that would never make it into restaurants, more toys that reminded Henry of Charlie, and then a set of animatronics that were cheaply made. These would end up being the Mediocre Melodies. Henry would use them on a nationwide tour, hoping to find his wife and son in the crowd. But when it ended and he was still at square one, he gave up. Henry left himself alone with his creations, the only thing that brought him peace. He shut himself out from the outside world, but that didn't stop Fazbear's horror stories from leaking in. Another bite, a franchisee program, more children dying. It was absolutely crazy, and Henry wanted nothing to do with it. However, when he heard of Fazbear's Fright burning to the ground, he looked to find that his son's charred body was found in the building. Henry breathed heavily after reading that Sammy was found dead in the building, being burnt to death in the fire. Henry decided that enough was enough and started to link incidents to each other, and what he started linking made him disgusted. But he knew it was the truth, William Afton was a vicious murderer, and he needed to stop him. Henry recorded himself one recording, talking about what he had uncovered and cursing himself for not realizing it sooner. But he developed a plan, to call them all back. All of them. Together in one place.
It took two years until Henry was able to execute his plan in 2025. Creating the Lefty animatronic to lure and encapsulate The Puppet. Using Charlie's bracelet code to lure her, using the music box to calm The Puppet, and in case Charlie or Melody tried anything to ruin the plan, they would be shocked. Henry knew that his daughter was inside of The Puppet, but felt this was the only way to keep her in check. As for the others, he knew Afton would come, but Elizabeth and the other Funtimes needed to be lured. He managed to accurately simulate a child and use that to lure the Funtimes to his location. Then, he would purchase a location off of the Franchisee program and hire Michael on as a co-owner. Michael was unaware of the trap, or unaware of Henry's involvement. Henry kept it that way, he didn't want to take any risks. Michael lured all the animatronics and salvaged them. By the end of the week, there was a fire. Henry burnt it all to the ground, with everyone inside. No one survived, not even Henry. Henry freed the last remaining souls, and burnt himself alongside it, allowing the nightmare to finally be over.
While Fazbear Enterprises struggled to get back into business, Henry's plan had worked. Afton was gone, and the remaining souls he set out to free were freed. He and the others went to live in a plain of happy memories and go on adventures with the Fazbear characters. As for what Fazbear Enterprises did, they initiated project "Clean Slate". Seeing as how they couldn't paint their owners in a bad light, they went out of their way to rewrite them to be good people. William was seen as a caring and loving father who killed to bring back his son and daughter, and Henry was a goody two shoes man who was oblivious and clueless to William's crimes and would plan to stop him. It worked and that's how the owners were viewed as. Henry's past had seemingly been forgotten, but if Henry were able to see that, he wouldn't care. He accomplished what he set out to do, and seeing his son and daughter again made him the happiest he could ask for.

Ok new 120 / 6 hours of total work time Fred’s fine dining establishment. Ok so the mimic
(The crowd throws tomatoes and various rotten vegetables at me)
Ok how did the mimic even get into the vr game to begin with??? Did it get destroyed or deactivated in a old location after the events if the books then got scanned into vr game with other old circuit boards and decided that this guys oc fursona character was really cool and decided to go back to terrorizing people with new branding? Or like is glitchtrap a different entity from the mimic and they are related in some way like 2 copies maybe? Or maybe they were just bros and went to sports bars idk. Also like did Vanessa even know glitchtrap may not have been the mimic like is burntrap just the mimic with terrible drip idk. If burntrap isn’t canon and the mimic is glitch trap where did they get the sick ass endo body from we see in ruin ??? Is the mimic a William afton kinnrie?
Also the highlighted text has no meaning I just found out I could color text
god okay so confession: i have yet to read tftp because the fnaf anthology novels cause me genuine psychic damage and i have not needed six hours to burn doing something i hate for a while now (i read the charlie trilogy + frights while my house was getting renovated & i was bouncing between an active construction zone and my grandparent's spare room). which is great for me because it means i haven't been in survival mode (any more than i am usually)(which is... a lot) but sucks for y'all because i refuse to make any definitive statements on them until i've. well. Done That. and i trust the popular fandom reading of them about as much as i trust the fandom with anything at all -- which is none!
so! just working from (what i remember of; this isn't fact-checked, lmao) what's in the games: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
hw1 states that glitchtrap spawned from old circuit boards that they (the third party contractors working on the game in-universe) were told to scan so they could use the "performance routines" on 'em as a programming shortcut. this seemingly connects to the ar emails, where it's heavily implied that some other third party was diverting fazent's shipments and replacing them with their own -- hence the strange behaviour of the animatronics in the special delivery service. notably when an employee at the shipping company tried to investigate this he gets replaced almost immediately, heavily implying that either the company or the third party killed him -- and considering we later see vanessa impersonate a member of fazbear's IT department (in both the emails & the gamejolt arg promo for sb), i don't think it's unreasonable to suspect her (or someone aligned with her) of doing it. and THAT is a whole can of worms in and of itself
if they're not retconning this, then the best explanation i can see is: Third Party finds Mimic in fazbunker -> Third Party salvages some Mimic parts -> Third Party gives Mimic parts to contractors (possibly unintentionally at first) -> Mimic is scanned into VR, becomes Glitchtrap -> Glitchtrap converts Vanessa -> Vanessa uses social engineering + pizzaplex virus* to get into contractor systems -> Mimic takes over network -> Vanny goes to Pizzaplex to ???restore body??? -> Gregory frees Vanessa -> they seal the Mimic's body away???? -> MXES is in all this? somehow??? maybe as the original virus????
and if they're retconning all of this then there's no point thinking about it because, well, it didn't happen the way it was presented to us/didn't happen at all. atm everything (but especially sb and its endings) is simultaneously canon and not canon, making it impossible to judge... literally anything. fun!
as for why the mimic or the third party or whatever wants to do all of this/had the idea to do all this/etc.......... again: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ there's nothing in the games (AS OF TODAY, 19TH OF JANUARY 2024) to indicate the mimic has ever interacted with afton or has reason to follow in his footsteps. i'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the upcoming game titled Secret of the Mimic might have to do with that secret thing about the mimic. not sure though!
[*] the user that sends the virus she uses to get into the contractor's system is called pizzaplex; she uses the virus as justification to trick the contractors into letting her into their system, at which point she then takes control of it. this is where the ambiguity around vanessa = vanny originally came from -- since she opened the virus email first, was her identity stolen by the entity? except... luis mentions talking with her about how the security back-end works, so it's probably her. or at least her body. God fuck this franchise

How do you feel about Glitchtrap being the mimic, To me and what I seen from posts I really don’t like it at all. Glitchtrap in help wanted was not even it character it seems and it was just mimic dressing up in a Glitchtrap suit as the mimic loves to wear suits. This means Glitchtrap never was a character it was all the mimic, you don’t got to replay to this as this is a spoiler but I needed someone who knows about the mimic that I can vent out some of my anger, I just hope Glitchtrap is in help wanted 2 or maybe it just mimic wearing a new suit.
RUIN SPOILERS
uh, straight up he ain't to me
again fnaf's storytelling can be bad, horrific even. But unless it's made way more explicit or developed more, i'm having a hard time beliving glitchtrap and the mimic are the same being because they're so dissimilar.
i've complained about this so much already AND I WILL CONTINUE just under a cut
if the mimic is spesifically trying to mimic william afton via showing us the child murders and stuffing us in the animatronic suits at the pizza party ending, why is he in a random cloth mascot suit and not in sprinbonnie, the suit he did all of his murdering in, help wanted is a VR game in universe, and glitchtrap is explicitly a digital entity, it wouldn't be very mimic like of the mimic to intentionally deviate in a massive way from the person they're mimicing. Steel wool used to have springbonnie in place of Glitchtraps model, Glitchtrap was a very intentional choice.
Also, again the whole "it's the mimic because glitchtrap is repeating vanessa" only he has like two whole lines and in help wanted is very much implied to be not all there, saying basic things such as "hello?" and "can you hear me?" isn't really enough, especially since the mimic as i know it is only able to borrow other peoples voices and glitchtraps is wholey unique, and he's implied to have extended conversations with vanessa to get her working with him when what we've been exposed to of the mimic is while more complex than i thought of before is very single minded about goals. if glitchtrap is the mimic and they want out so badly why are they focused on torture, subjicating people into compliance , i know it's scrapped but why would they care about fucking with vanessa so much they make her unknowingly order roses under a fake boyfriends name called brad and sign it off with a death threat. Thats not to mention, since when does the mimic, the thing that mimics people have powers to enter human peoples minds, possibly lock their minds away, or be able to fully possess people? thats some supernatural ghost shit! The mimic as i understand them isn't able to do this level of planning or have these abilities.
Along with the princess quest room and the heavy implication that the princess quest ending is canon we might of killed Glitchtrap at his source while severing his connection to vanessa, why would the mimic still be around if they're also Glitchtrap?
Glitchtrap and the Mimic are just so different in actions and personality that it feels like a massive reach that they're the same being. It would suck if we well and truly killed off the scraggly little bun for real in security breech but like, damn atleast william afton came back one last time to give us the run around. because so far it's straight looking like glitchtrap and burntrap where seperate entities from the mimic Again i don't really expect much from fnafs storytelling but, like, come on.

Tumblr media
well, if it isn't the Golden Star Singer himself! finally got a REF of his human-animatronic version of himself! name: Fredbear age: 40-49 gender: male species: robot bear (or whatever you wanna call it) likes: singing, performing, cooking, writing music, naps and accomplishments. dislikes: idiocy (he deals with it 24/7) loud noises, being seen as a failure, losing his voice, confrontation, being unable to sleep, and of course, stupidly hates Afton. personality: laid back, but sometimes sarcastic, takes no one's shit, but can take jokes. is mostly tired as he is a workaholic, insomniac and is a LITTLE depressed from time to time, but usually just tired from working all the time. has a BEAUTIFUL voice, he's the singer of his Diner after all, he's also almost a mother hen to his little brothers (yeah, i gave him siblings. and they are Golden Freddy and Springtrap (WITHOUT purple guy, don't go there please, it's an AU not canon) he's kinda like a fatherly laidback DILF minus the flirting as he'll either friend-zone or just shrug off the flirts. The Fading Light AU is basically a love story between Nightmare and Fredbear. story time: before Fredbear, Nightmare or "Nightbear" was one of Afton's first creations along with "NightBonnie, NightFreddy, NightChica and NightFoxy and NightMangle" that he abandoned before "Nightbear" and the others even knew Afton existed. Afton left them to rot in a place called "The Scraped Mind Inc." where dead/too damaged/unwanted animatronics go to either die or suffer. they would either just throw you into the "boiler" to turn you into liquid metal, or straight up torture you and experiment on you until you die or break. you can.....kinda guess how Nightmare became Nightmare. full of rage, anger, hurt, and pure hatred for humans. eventually, they escape after 3 long agonizing years, but the damage was already done. they went from being big cuddly animatronics for kids to big dangerous and angry nightmares. and trust me, the LIVE UP to their names. now let's say that during those 3 years, Afton created Golden Freddy, Springtrap and the main star of the show: Fredbear. now idk if you know about this, BUT....Afton sucks ass as a person. now let me tell you about Afton before i tell you about Fredbear: so! William Afton....oh this mothafucka...so, we all know that in the 1970's and the 1980's there was still a lot of discrimination against basically anyone who is different the "wrong" way, say like gay, trans, emo, goth, punk rock, anything boomers would find even the little excuses to be shitty to those they dislike. now this was BEFORE the incident of losing both his daughter and son (C.C. and Elizabeth) and has a really rocky relationship with Michael, he was already an absolute grouch and cold bastard. doesn't help that he and his wife were fighting to hell (bro literally slept with Henry Emily's wife for years behind both their backs) even before all that he was a narcissist, manipulator and self' absorbed. pretty much the type you think he's a good guy, but he really really isn't. not to mention he has a really bad jealousy problem.
so when he found out that Fredbear was the best in keeping his Diner open, he took full advantage. but he's not a nice guy. he treated the 3 golden brothers like utter shit. saying they're not worth it, they are just objects for entertainment. and he'd even threaten them if they try to step out of line.....so yeah, there's my Afton for you. BACK to Fredbear! on the outside, he "looks" fine, but, on the inside, he's fucking MISERABLE to the point where he barely feels any strong emotions anymore thanks to all the shit Afton put him through. Fredbear doesn't want to leave the diner because he enjoys entertaining kids and adults and he loves to sing! (Fredbear has the most GORGEOUS singing voice, and is the main thing that got Afton making some hard ass money) he also CAN'T leave the diner, because what you think Fredbear's gonna end up? The Scraped Mind Inc. and Goldie and Springy know about it, and they're doing the best they can to help Fredbear get his spirit up again. now, fun fact: Goldie and Springy are the goofball idiots. the knucklehead duo. but mostly because they'll do the most outrageous things but end up working very well, but when they're just doing normal things, they end up in the most hilarious and weirdest situations. like a cartoon. now Goldie and Springy give Afton HELL as pay back for how he treats Fredbear, but of course, it was never enough. Fredbear is CONSTANTLY over-worked, never appreciated and is overall depressed and tired all the time. but he always puts a smile on his face to keep the diner going. now on how Nightmare and Fredbear meet? it's a bit complicated. Nightmare was out one night, heading home after MAYBE taking someone's life, when he heard it.....Fredbear's LOVELY voice, singing OH so beautifully! and being a big black bear, he can easily look through the window without getting caught. and boi...when i tell you it's love at first sight, the second Nightmare saw Fredbear, he fell in love instantly and he fell in love HARD! the man INSTANTLY went from being this cold, cruel and tough bastard to pervy loving mushy bear. and it left Nightmare HELLA confused! he never fell in love before, and at first he had NO IDEA how to address his feelings, so he did have a few yanderish tendencies. but he's smart, and he knew he didn't want to scare Fredbear. so at first, he watched Fredbear perform along with Goldie and Springy. admiring, and learning about Fredbear. hell, ever since he first saw Fredbear, his buddies noticed a change in him.so let's say, one night, Nightmare decided to pay Fredbear a visit, it was after hours and Fredbear was doing his round before he takes over the office for his unending nightshift. so the first meeting was......nerve racking and very awkward. mostly because Nightmare decided to meet Fredbear in the dark pitch black powerful (give the man some credit, this the VERY first time falling in love, he went through hell and has no idea how to express himself that doesn't look like a threat, my boi trying his best) scared the hell out of Fredbear, but boy, howdy did Springy and Goldie INSTANTLY went to Fredbear's protection. which makes it very funny how Nightmare is nearly over 15 feet tall, Fredbear (before becoming nightmare Fredbear) was 7.3 feet tall, Springy is 6.7 and Goldie is 6.2 feet tall. now imagine that! {MORE COMING SOON!}

HW2, SB, RUIN ANALYSIS: MIMIC VS AFTON
alright, I've noticed quite a bit of discussion about glitchtrap & burntrap and if they're William or the mimic, so I've decided to share my own thoughts on the matter as I personally believe that all 3 are meant to be the mimic. This will be in two sections: burntrap itself, and then glitchtrap and mimic together as my thoughts on the both of them are a tad intertwined.
BURNTRAP
I've seen people discussing Burntraps role in this mess and at least a couple of those discussions included comparing his design and behaviour with the mimics. I don't think using those as evidence is all that reliable for multiple reasons.
First and Foremost, the burntrap ending isn't canon. Due to this, it's unclear if burntrap was even real in the first place so using him as evidence is difficult to begin with.
Secondly, you have to remember that security breach was an unwillingly rushed product and the burntrap ending might not have been what they had hoped. Not only this, but in Ruin it was clear that they changed things at least a little as the princess quest ending was switched to be canon and the burntrap ending no longer canon if the comic strip collectibles and princess quest references are to be believed. Knowing this, it's very much possible that they could've made any number of changes in an effort to salvage the rushed & buggy mess of a game and attach it to the kind of story they actually want to tell as cleanly as possible. This makes Burntraps existence even more dubious and unreliable for use as evidence.
Finally: even if burntrap did exist, it's pretty easy to label it as the mimic even with the rabbit scraps and guts. The mimic has a tendency to wear mascot costumes, and one of the most recent book prologues focused on the fact that the mimic will wear the suit even if something/someone else is inside if there's no sound or movement to alert it. With this in mind...what if the Mimic found the remains of the springtrap suit under the pizzaplex and attempted to wear it, unaware of the corpse bits inside? If it had done so, then it would make sense for the bot to be covered in springscraps and corpse chunks!
With all of this in mind, it is very much possible for burntrap to either not exist at all or to be the mimic!

MIMIC AND GLITCHTRAP
So for this last section, I wanna start with the obvious question: who is the mimic mimicking in the game universe? The story we're given in the book universe is that its mimicking its creator, who lost his wife, made the bot for his remaining child, and then brutalized it after losing the remaining child and going into a grief-fueled rage due to the bot still mimicking said child. Now usually the characters in more important stories like this one are stand-ins for characters in the game-verse.
We know 2 characters missing a wife and children, but Henry wasn't a violent or aggressive person in his grief, nor was he constantly disguising himself in a costume...which leaves William. Williams funtime bots had mimicry functions, this a fact that's given to us early on. As for the wife and child, Williams wife appeared to have left him early on and he lost both of his youngest children, crying child and Elizabeth, not long before/after this. William was also constantly wearing the springbonnie suit, as it was incredibly precious to him for multiple reasons.
Mimic being an afton creation then makes sense with this information. It would have been created sometime in-between those losses, possibly at the same time as the funtimes. Then after a child's death, likely Elizabeth's since she seemed to be the one he was closest with, the bot is brutalized and/or abandoned in a place where it was able to see Williams cruel deeds. Then, after the death of both freddys owners, fazbear entertainment would of course collect & salvage what they could, which would include the mimic bot. According to the books, the Mimic program was also used for the other bots and various entertainment tech in the pizzaplex.
From the tapes in Help Wanted, we can also infer that the mimic program was in the mysterious circuit boards provided to the programming team and was also used in the vr game as well as their other vr tech from what we see in help wanted 2. Why the mimic takes the form of glitchtrap? Because it's mimicking it's creator, who was always dressed in a rabbit mascot suit. It may also be safe to assume that the mimic took control of the maskbot seen in ruin as well, considering the hw2 mask bot ending and the roughly made rabbit ears on the bot that may or may not have been added by the controlled nightmare staffbots.
My final note is answering the question: how was Vanessa controlled by it then? From the poster in hw2 and the masks security mechanics in ruin, I believe that using the mask was part of the security job and the mimic had taken control of the VANNI mask & MXES program before the princess quest ending, so it swiftly takes over and controls Vanessa once she wears the mask. This would explain why she seemed like her normal, annoyed self for most of the game only for her behaviour to change drastically as Vanny.
-
Conclusion: Williams malice may still live on, but only in the form of programmed mimicry. William himself is gone, the aftons story is over and the pizzaplex saga is a whole new chapter for fazbear entertainment. I think it's best to accept this new story and stop trying to bring William back from the dead.
Edit: misremembered the mimic backstory and tweaked the analysis with the correct information

An observation I had about Kyle Allen's Count The Ways FNAF music video.
OH BOY I READ WAY TOO MUCH INTO THINGS-
anyways.
In Kyle Allen's music video for Count The Ways, I'm not sure if it was intentional but there's a few moments where Freddy's expression when looking down at Millie changes from malice to...what to me looks like "What am I doing, why am I doing this," he doesn't actually want to hurt her. Which makes sense and adds more horror to it knowing that, regardless of his wants, he's trapped in his own programming. Maybe those brief moments of clarity he seems to have are him breaking free from his functions that Afton created into him for a couple seconds before he's engulfed back into it again. Or alternatively breaking from Eleanor, although we don't know how exactly she was involved in CTW and for all we know could have just been the one collecting Millie's soul.
(Ok so tw, just in case, cause this gets dark and talks about death obviously lol) That to me would make the story so much more depressing, not only is Millie trapped and terrified of her likely death, Freddy himself is having to try and fight against his own body and mind because deep down, he does NOT want to hurt her, but he just can't shake the intense urge and instinct he has due to what he was intended to do when he was built. His actions of taunting her and eventually killing her say one thing while his mind is screaming at itself to stop.
The horror after everything too, Millie's dead and gone, and now with that, Freddy's murderous program deactivates since there's no use for it at that time, and he just opens his stomach hatch after he reboots to find her corpse inside of him. Imagine the guilt he'd feel knowing she died because he wasn't able to fight back against his programming. Not only that but the devastation Millie's family would go through. In the end everyone has awful endings. Millie died, her family is grieving, and Freddy has to live with the intense guilt and anxiety surrounding the idea of him losing control again. Not only that but he'd probably be thrown to the junkyard again, left to mourn and wallow away in guilt alone while waiting for someone to come find him. And even if someone does find him, he's terrified of it repeating all over.
Obviously, as far as we know, this isn't canon, but just a silly little observation I noticed in KyleAllenMusic and victory_summery's Count The Ways music video and I don't even know if those expression changes were intentionally added for lore or to make the animation seem more fluid. But either way the details/implication of Funtime Freddy trying to fight off his own programming were really cool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's very subtle but this is what I'm talking about. How he seems to snap out of his malicious/anger expression and shift into "Oh my god, what am I doing," only to be reversed back into his programming and lose himself again.
