This was a silly little episode and I have indeed enjoyed it. Not as emotional as the last one but I had fun nevertheless. Though, it didn't feel like a "Mario's Trip" episode, compared to the other ones. Maybe that's just me idk.

The animation and references, peak. As for the plot itself, it felt very on-brand for SMG4. Strangely, the chaotic energy in this one was toned down which is new. Like I said, it was still fun, had plenty of laughs. There isn't much to say about this but yeah, good to have a silly goofy time overall!!!

Base Yandere Splendorman Headcanons: In His HAPPY Mind~ (Creepypasta)

[Hello, My Sexy Muffins! I am back with a new chapter! This one is going to be with the base yandere traits of Splendorman, a good amount of it is how I write him and such since little is fleshed out about him! Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter here!]

-Base Yandere Headcanons With Splendorman From The Creepypasta Fandom- 

.Splendorman is a cheerful man who loves to help others and bring a smile to their faces. 

.He ends up helping kids who are in need and is super helpful. 

.He similarly met you, you were not a kid but you were the older adult sibling to a kid. 

.You at first did not trust the strange tentacle creature. 

.He was smitten with you right away and would not leave you alone, it did not help you lived near his part of the woods. 

.So he got to see you plenty of times and got it into his head that he was courting you!  .He is always making little gifts for you and leaving them outside your window. 

.He always tries to get you to play with him and stay with him as long as possible. 

.He is a stage five clingy yandere that is for sure and he always sulks when you have to go. 

.He unlike his brother slenderman does not kill children, in fact, her thinks children must be protected at all costs. 

.So he does not understand why his brother kills and eats children. 

.He would never understand his younger brother slenderman either. 

.In my headcanon/lore out of the four Splendorman is the oldest, then Trenderman or Offenderman (I have not nailed down who is the second and third born) and the fourth born and youngest of the first four is Slenderman. 

.Splendorman is still a Grimm fairy type of creature, but he does not hurt children. 

.He still has a dark side to him, when he gets mad or angry he can turn downright horrific and murderous. 

. Especially if children are hurt, one time he saw a father hurting his kids and it sent Splendorman in such a rage that he tore the man's limb from the limb and bashed his head into a rock over and over until there was nothing left. 

.He did not like going into this state and needed the blood off of him as he did not like this side of him. 

.It took you comforting him and telling him that his hands protected those children. Yes, the children might be afraid of what they saw, but they would live and that was all that matters. 

.Those words that you told him made something in him snap. 

.He swore if anyone ever tried to land a hand on you like that he would kill them but even worse than he killed this guy. 

.He has a silent vow that he must protect you at all cost and this makes him a very overprotective yandere, that if anyone hits you. 

.Even playfully he runs the risk of snapping and going into a blind rage where he would brutalize them for daring to lay a hand against you. 

.He had to keep you safe he had to. 

.He also would become paranoid at the thought of you being hurt, so he would stalk you more, sneak into your room, and one day might even kidnap you! 

.You were the love of his life, his little light and he would rather die than you being hurt. 

.If you are the one hurting yourself you can be he will kidnap you and keep you tied down, where you cannot hurt yourself. 

.Also he can make sure you are well taken care of and never able to hurt yourself again. 

.That is right he will protect you from everything even yourself. 

.If you are dating someone who so happens to be abusing you, then you can bet he is going to try and make you break up with them. (Side note he would then for sure kill your partner) 

.And if that does not work he will just go to kidnapping you and killing your partner. 

.Although it is a toss-up if he shows you the body or not. 

.It depends on the day he tells you. Either he not tell you at all, or say he took care of it and not show the body, or flat out say he killed your partner and then show you their severed head! 

.It is a toss-up and how he is feeling. 

.He would try and stress that everything he does for you is to keep you safe and sound and that you had to accept that he is doing his best to keep you safe. 

.If you just trusted him and let him keep you safe then he would not have to keep you tied to the bed and would not have to have you bound to his side when you do go out. 

.So those are the many ways he would deal with rivals. 

.Other than trying to first ask them nicely to leave, to scaring them off, to straight up murdering them. 

.You are the love of his life and he knows he wants you as his and only his. 

.His overprotective and clingy nature is the almost perfect combination for him to stalk and eventually kidnap you. 

.All it takes is a couple of things for him to stalk you, although he likes to call it watching over you. 

.And to also kidnap you, which he also likes to call something else with, keeping you safe. 

.In his mind it is for your own good and back to the rival things. 

.In his head he would find reasons that a rival is no good for you and is in fact bad for you and a risk to your health and safety. 

.So in his mind, getting rid of rivals is his way of keeping you safe and sound. 

.He of course would never ever want to scare you and if he does scare you he might break down and that is not good for you or anyone else as he could snap. 

.He would confess to you in his idea of a romantic way, with a day full of romance and fun. 

.If you accept his love he is over the moon and wants to be with you right away! To bring you back to the creepypasta mansion and make you a part of the family!  .If you turn down his love? Well, he is going to kidnap you, I know I said he would do this a lot, but he would have a reason this time. 

.In his mind (Okay not the best reason but it is still a reason!) you are being blinded by the big bad world and it is his job to make you see clearly. 

.He believes the world has tricked you and it is his job to protect you and help you. 

.He thinks he knows best and he will make you see that you DO Love him and that you are his good Special Darling!

Bloody Painter Headcanons

Did y’all miss these? Idc if this seems like a weird direction to go from my past two HC lists, I’ve always loved Helen as a character and I just went and read up on all the compiled lore DeluCat made of him years ago, and I got some HCs fresh in my mind!

I used THIS YouTube video from DeluCat herself as my main source, assume anything I don’t list/discuss here is filled in by anything here. I’m actually really impressed that she did so much research on different serial killers, psych ward operations, and violent crimes to make Helen as realistic as possible.

Expect canon typical horror/mature topics being discussed from this point forward, nothing is censored beyond this point!!!!

Roughly about 25, give or take a few years

STRICTLY he/him, will react violently if anyone calls him different pronouns, especially feminine ones

Despite this, he’s definitely not cis (it’s actually canon that he’s agender! Friendly reminder that pronouns =/= gender)

Like bro you were literally raised to have a gender crisis. Everyone point and laugh at the egg

Jeff used she/her for him once as a joke and he still has deep scars from what Helen decided to do to him

Like I shit you not, Helen took a sizable chunk of skin out of Jeff’s back, and only stopped because Eyeless Jack physically had to hold him back until Jeff left his line of sight

You wouldn’t even expect such violent outbursts from this guy considering how normally calm he is

Barely talks at all tbh

Like, he’ll interact politely with most of the residents of the mansion and isn’t turned off by conversation, but don’t expect him to hold a full conversation if he deems you boring or unimportant

Which tbh he probably will, he’s not super big on friendships considering how his last one went

Mostly prefers to keep to himself and is often in the more run down/abandoned wings of the manor

Has a naturally more feminine looking face (long eyelashes, smaller nose, etc) and does nothing to try and fix/hide it

Has converted one of the dilapidated rooms into an “art” studio

No actually he really just has an entire room dedicated to some of the most fucked up art a person is capable of making

Sculptures made out of bones and flesh, jars filled with coagulated blood submerging his taxidermy projects, eyeball jewelry, teeth jewelry, paint made from pummeled organs and flesh, brandings and etchings on stretched human skin, plushies made of human hair, he’s got it all

He also makes more “normal” art, which in reality is just more traditional mediums that still depict his usual obsessions with violence

Has gotten used to the scent of rot and decay like pretty much every resident has, but is one of the few who enjoys it

Is very selfish, self centered, and has an ego larger than Texas

Him and Ben have a somewhat transactional relationship; Helen films all the depraved torture and crafting he enacts and shares it with Ben, and Ben prints out news articles of Helen’s crimes for Helen to make art with, or just look at to admire his handiwork

ZERO empathy. His morals heavily align with the BEN AI, and even somewhat Slenderman’s

Hates animals. Not cause he’s scared of them or anything, but because he finds their existence useless

…unless he’s using it for fucked up taxidermy

LOVES torture the same way Eyelss Jack loves vivisections

One of his favorite things to do is rip a person’s fingernails out one by one, and then severing the hand and using the bleeding nail beds as the world’s most fucked up large paintbrush

Besides art, he loves to read. Kind of a given considering he’s basically the quiet kid

Loves depraved horror novels and serial killer memoirs/autobiographies

Can speak fluent Chinese, and often shit talks other pastas to their faces without them even knowing

Kagekao learned Chinese just so the two could gossip

Similar to EJ, has a more “buff” physique and has been seen breaking bones effortlessly. When you’ve been murdering steadily for over a decade at this point you kinda just learn where the weak/break points are in the human body

Can improvise anything into a weapon

Actually he really loves killing people with unconventional murder weapons. Scenes are often found with things like metal straws lodged in a victim’s sternum, or the top of a bowling pin shoved down a victim’s throat so far their jaw broke and the victim subsequently choked on their own blood from their shattered teeth

He’s gotten so good at this that the other pastas will literally make a game out of it and challenge him to use an outlandish item as a weapon the next time he kills

“Okay okay how about a bong” “are you being serious right now” “just answer the question art boy” “twice, actually. Though technically I think one of them was a really weird ceramic frog instead. That, or a pcp pipe.” “Awesome”

Hates removing his mask around anyone he’s not acquainted with

Gets reeeaaalll fuckin quiet too

Has gotten so good at being stealthy he doesn’t even alert or startle people like Eyeless Jack does

Surprisingly enough he actually gets enough sleep compared to most of the other residents of the manor

He’s also able to get comfortable and sleep practically anywhere, in the weirdest positions too. Is often found passed out in his studio sitting up, or laying on the floor covered in metal torture tools and bones

Despite his lack of empathy, his blood boils and he seethes if anyone dares to mess with Sally

The first day he stumbled across the manor and introduced himself by what the media called him, Sally gave him a drawing of himself, and he vowed on the spot to look out for the little snot

Is already a naturally patient person, and is incredibly patient and gentle when explaining how to do specific art things to Sally

Jokingly “agrees” with Sally about not liking doctors whenever she’s around eyeless Jack (though in his case he hates psych doctors vastly more than physical ailment doctors)

Back to the patience thing: will stalk a victim for months to toy with them. He has an eternity to do this to people with his newfound abilities granted to him by slenderman, why rush?

Helen 🤝 BEN/Ben = malewhore mansplain manipulate

Will say anything to get what he wants

Thinks in a very transactional and technical way. If you don’t do or offer something to benefit him first, he doesn’t even see you as a person

Is friends/close with: Sally, Eyeless Jack, BEN/Ben, Jason, Ann, and KageKao

Has a tolerable relationship with/is very neutral about: Masky, Hoody, Jane, Liu, Puppeteer, LJ, and Slenderman

Doesn’t get along with/HATES: clockwork, Nina, and Jeff

Him and Jason often collaborate together on pieces involving still living people

Him and Ann have a mutual distaste for doctors/hospital settings, and can often be found stitching up their wounds (or sometimes in Helen’s case a piece involving human flesh) together

Ace, heavily questioning if he’s aro too

He finds Ann aesthetically pleasing to look at, but his thoughts don’t go any further than that. Often uses her as figure practice (with her consent)

Is mainly fascinated by the fact she’s a walking sentient corpse

Tried cannibalism once, wasn’t a fan

Tried going to both Eyeless Jack and Ann once during a dysphoria-spurred panic attack and begged for bottom surgery

Obviously one of the few times he actually doesn’t appear calm and put together to people. Tries his damn hardest to hide these panic attacks unless around Eyeless Jack or Ann. Would be mortified if Ben, Sally, or any of the loud judgmental pastas saw him in this state

Gives a lot of his full corpse art pieces a physical sex swap

You’re dead but hey free top surgery and you get to be fucked up art

Honestly doesn’t give a shit about symbolism, makes art of whatever he wants/feels like and makes it pretty clear there’s no hidden meaning

So Eleanør is basically liked inspired by Alice from FPE, and some of her character traits are twisted so nobody really knows her intentions of residing her at the mansion.

Slenderman keeps her locked up in a room since she is a very hostile and aggressive woman in her early 20s. She attacks anybody that poses as a threat to her basically, much like wild animals do. She’s like the human version of a wild animal.

Eleanør doesn’t really have emotions except for anger. She doesn’t know who to trust anymore since she rarely ever smiles. Except when she’s near Liu, he makes her feel special. I see them a short-aggressive monster!oc with a tall and chill man wearing a striped scarf and is goofy as heck.

Bonus points if you get Eleanør to smile and laugh! (If that ever happens…) So her backstory is currently unknown. She was a child-experimented OC of course, she had a rare type of blood that scientists illegally used underground to help with experiments; so they basically turned her into this monster and she killed them all in a fit of rage.

Eventually some of the proxies and some other creeps were sent to capture her eventually since she was infected by Zalgo’s blood, and she doesn’t know who Zalgo is to be honest, she’s a clueless goober.

She killed one of the residents at the mansion, and since she is a very dangerous threat, Slenderman decides that a dark basement will keep her locked away forever from the world. Shielded from the light. Grasping her way back to the freedom. She’s basically a villainous protagonist in her lore but she basically never got to live a normal childhood, that’s why she’s a threat to be kept under control in the mansion. Slenderman has made one very specific rule for new arrivals and the already-mansion’s residents:

“Do not go into her room. Or the depths of hell will be awaiting your presence.”

Basically she is a villainous protagonist but in the end she doesn’t know who Zalgo is until Zalgo appears one night in her dreams and tries to convince her to join his army. But she declines saying she wants nothing to do with him and has nothing of business. Zalgo, angered by this, sends some of his patriots to collect her. She is now considered enemy to Zalgo now. She doesn’t give a damn about anything after all, and she doesn’t give a damn about situations that include blood loss..after all, she is immortal…for now..

Proxies Headcanons! [Puppet Strings Lore Dump]

Hey! I have an unfortunate confession to make; I used to really like Fanon Masky when I was like 9 years old. Thankfully I finally watched Marble Hornets and realised what the fuck I'd been missing out. I used to love Fanon Toby too but maybe about two years ago I completely rewrote him after a sudden change of heart.

Did Hoody even have a fanon? I don't think he had a personality beyond being Masky's best friend. That's unfortunate seeing as how he's my favourite one out of the pair.

Anyways, the Proxies have always been such an interesting concept to me. I know that they don't exist in canon, but seriously it's an entertaining thing to imagine a sitcom between the Proxies and Slenderman.

So, without further ado, let's get into it!

Proxies Headcanons

-The 'Proxies' are the employees (only slaves like 50% of the time) of the Slenderman. They do have a greater purpose for being 'hired'; to serve as human energy for the Operator to feed off of. That's why the MOST unstable ones get picked to be proxies, since he feeds off of trauma and emotional energy.

-They do get paid, but only when the Slenderman takes over. Sadly he's aware of why they're here but accepts the fact that there's nothing he can really do about it since the Operator's fed on them so much that they'll basically die if they stop being Proxies (if the Operator doesn't kill them first). It's a lose-lose situation, unfortunately.

-As I said prior; they're the most mentally unstable in the whole Mansion. There are six of them; Rouge, X-Virus/Cody, Kate, Masky/Tim, Hoody/Brian, and Toby. Rouge is the oldest (due to the fact that in her original story she was almost married and almost a mother), and Toby is the youngest.

-Many of the Residents avoid them, especially Masky and Hoody. As they're the most well-known Proxies, they're generally known for being violent and ill-mannered towards others besides each-other and Toby. Although they get closer to everyone eventually, most of the residents heavily disliked them when they first arrived.

-Slender has no idea how they got here, although he has an idea of why they could be here. He's got no idea what happened to Toby, Kate, Rouge, or what the hell a Marble Hornets is. No matter how many times they explain what Slender supposedly did to them, he just doesn't remember as Charles wasn't conscious when it happened.

Although (I believe, its been a while) Marble Hornets take place in 2006, they sort of departed from the Labrinth and returned in 2009 after Masky and Hoody find themselves homeless and basically just drug addicts. They put up with Slender as they have no other place to turn to.

-They mainly go on Political Missions; such as assassinating a target in the Underworld, or they kill actual people in the real world. These usually consist of people who get too close to finding out about the Pastas, cultists, and basically just any random target Slender picks out for them.

-They're sort of their own family, as they share rooms in the same corridor which is quite far away from the other Residents. Rouge actually has her own home, but the other four live in the Mansion.

-They all magically have access to drugs. Nobody knows and nobody asks why, but whenever they need a fix, all they need to do is go to Hoody's room and pay $5.

-Speaking of Hoody, he has selective mutism, and even then he rarely talks. He only verbally communicates with the other Proxies, and doesn't speak to anyone else at all. Sometimes he'll randomly chime in to a conversation Toby and Masky are having and laugh as the two jump.

He's just a bit of a goofy guy, really.

-Wondering why I'm exclusively calling them Masky and Hoody? Well, I know it's sort of implied that Tim and Brian have DID and that Masky and Hoody are simply their alter egos, but in this AU they're more like personas that the Operator made up for them. He didn't like how disobedient Tim and Brian are, so when the Operator takes over he personally remolds their personalities so that they're more subservient. It sounds confusing but I'm trying

-I'm going to make a separate post for Tim and Brian, but a little backstory is that the two of them have known each other since Kindergarten and have grown up together since. They're best friends and their bond is just so strong that nobody can ever really come between them.

Although they're seen hanging out with Toby a lot, Toby is aware of the fact that Tim and Brian are the original duo.

-Masky is the unofficial group leader of the Proxies, and everyone else just kind of accepts that. He's a cool guy and does know how to take charge, however he's always incredibly rebellious to the Slenderman's orders, which leaves Toby to step up every time they fuck up real bad.

-Slenderman sometimes accompanies them. He doesn't help, he just watches from a corner and sometimes jumps out at them to scare them. It's a favourite pass time of his. He will help them out on occasion, as keep in mind he is a low-level God.

-Dr. Smiley and Nurse Ann's makeshift Hospital is basically their second home. Since they get injured so much on all of their missions (totally not due to Masky going against the direct orders), they often all come together to get treated with whatever nasty injury they get from their most recent endeavour.

-Hoody and Slender, both people who don't talk very often, easily understand each other. It's sort of an inside joke that they can telepathically talk to each other. It's basically the only form of a relationship they have considering Hoody's very wary of him.

-Masky hates cheesecake. And crayons. And children. And Slenderman (although when it's Charles they're relationship is a bit better). The Masky in this AU would fucking HATE fanon Masky.

Cheesecake is Masky's least favourite food. He'd rather eat a pile of dog shit. Lazari thought this was funny and made sure to include a panel of him eating Cheesecake in every comic that she makes.

I remember how much I cherished her as a kid,she was like the first or one of the first creepypasta ocs I ever made.Now I was shit at storytelling but those ocs were basically my only thought process for three whole years.

I both cringe and think nostalgically back to these characters alot,and I've been reworking the things in her backstory that younger me came up with.

All that I can truly remember is a few things.

She was always more of a silent and vengeful character,her heart in the right place but not exactly the greatest at expressing it.She was an introvert who was very observant wich made it easier to hit were it hurts,but also using it for those she cares about.

If you know TribeTwelve and you’re thinking “how could there be art and stuff for a journal that we know practically nothing about other than that it’s powerful enough to defeat slenderman?,” then you probably didn’t know that there were a bunch of spoilers shared by TribeTwelve’s puzzle master when Adam Rosner abandoned the series (cause he’s a disgusting coward who i do not in any way support). Among these leaks were the plans for the rest of the series all the way to the end, + a copy of the journal’s content that would have eventually been available to the public

if you haven’t read the journal, i highly recommend it. It’s a really good and heartwrenching read, and it has a lot of really important lore (including what makes it so powerful). I personally just love to see characters like Swain and Deadhead get expanded upon cause they got practically nothing in the actual videos. And let me say, we got absolutely robbed out of Swain content. God dammit from everything i’ve found about him through scrapped plans, he would have been a fan favorite.

Had this weird dream. It was about this TV show in 60s, an animated show, about Slenderman. But he wasn't evil, quite the opposite. He was a wholesome guy who fixated on Tea, had an adoptive son whose name I think was Nielson, and a best friend named Harry.

And every episode he would go on a whimsical adventure. There were emotional episodes, apparently a well loved one was when his kid called him dad for the first time, but it was a cute family friendly show. But it got canceled.

And years later, someone saw the old footage, and like plenty of creepypasta makers, decided to warp and corrupt something innocent, creating the Slenderman we know today (now, mind you, I know next to nothing of his lore. The fact that some girls tried to literally sacrifice another girl to him scared me so bad that to this day even seeing a picture of the guy makes me anxious). And eventually, the old show was forgotten about, until someone on Tumblr found it.

Jennywise and Pennywise are the twins (117), Their father left after they were born because he didn't want them (Or that's what Midnight says)

They can only eat (human)flesh and any human food will poision them and rot them from the inside out, Killing them, Even though they are immortal

I've never really got involved with the OC part of any fandom, but I've always been aware of and admired people who make them. Bonus points go to you, though, dear ender-afton, because of the sheer effort that's clearly been put into the lore for these characters. I've come up with my own OCs that aren't anything to do with a fandom - just for writing purposes - and I can definitely attest to the fact that coming up with backstory fucking SUCKS! So I very much admire that not only have you got such a complex set of characters here, but you've thought about how they all tie together and have relationships and it's so so cool. I'm not sure whether you personally drew them or not, but I wanted to mention that if you did, I absolutely love the style!!

I think it's so interesting, too, how (if you don't mind me saying), you seem halfway through deciding on the story for some of the characters. (E.g. "I am still unsure if I am gonna bring him into this".) I loveeeee seeing the process of making things; it brings humanisation to the creator and I think it's so cool to know that there's a point when everyone has this period where they're still figuring out the loopholes and ironing out the details. I'm going off on a tangent but my point is it's all positive and awesome!!

Even the way you manage to tie in canon events is impressive, and the fact that it links into the familial relationships you've built is even better. Big, big kudos!

Anyway, my experiences may be vastly different from yours due to me being a crp fictive and my exomemories aligning more with the hostile interpretation of creepypasta.

Interpret your feelings to your own standard and do what you feel is best in your own practice. To answer the questions,

What's Slenderman's presence feel like?

Authoritative in an overwhelming and certain way. Sometimes a bit ill and nausiating due to the Slebder sickness. Very familiar and comforting to me due to my exomemories.

How to know he's around?

If you think its around, can't get your mind off of it, start obsessing, then it is likely around. It feeds off of attention and thought dedicated to it. Alternatively, if you want it to go away simply not thinking of it for long periods of time will remove its control from you.

Recommendations on approaching him to work with him?

Familiarise yourself with both created lore (lore assigned to Slenderman as a character) and real lore (real life lore such as the photographs, Slenderverse, when it was initially crated, etc.) Doing this will allow you to understand what feels most correct to yourself and your practice. It's better to base your practices off of this rather than what some random arsehole on the internet has to say.

If I were to give suggestions from my own practice, it's that the Slenderman operates similarly to a fairy/fae creature/fair folk/Other synonyms. Researching these creatures even on a base level will give you a better idea on how it functions compared to a deity or human.

Also, it doesn't have your best interest in mind. It will work with you, compromise, and make deals, but it does not do things to simply make you happy. It's a business partner rather than a friend. Also, if you are already dedicating active thought to it, you are already 'working' with it to an extent. No need to ask for permission, if it did not want to work with you (an absurd idea imo, it stands to lose nothing) it would make that abundantly clear.

Does Slenderman talk?

Not really? It's more vague feelings, ideas, urges, and obsessive thought. It may if it needs something explicit but this is usually unnessessary.

What do "signs" from Slenderman look like?

Not too sure what you mean by signs. In my experience it isn't something that usually reaches out to you, you come across it and bridge that connection. In some cases it might prey on you if you are vulnerable.

In terms of items, animals, symbols, etc. It can't really leave them as it's connection to this world isn't as strong. At best, you may feel some Slender sickness if you work with it enough.

Ways to tell he's around?

In this world, it can only be around to a psychological and spiritual extent. (Or if you have visual/sensory hallucinations but we don't experience that so not our place to talk about.) It's only around if you will it to be so.

If you're looking for a response or to see if it's paying attention to you, then meditation w/ focus on feelings and spikes of unfounded fear or anxiety. We only use tarot but I imagine it would have no trouble communicating through other means. (Ouiji, pendulum) Generally though, it will be there if you are thinking of it often enough.

That's answers about my practice, thanks for the questions! Don't base your entire practice on mine just because I do it, PCP is highly personal, especially with a character like Slenderman who has so many different canons assigned to it.

I don't mind the questions at all! I'm actually really happy to have you ask them, I love talking about my baby :] I'll put some dashes in between each section addressing each specific question- and of course, a readmore.

So, Delirium branched off the 'all the Creepypastas live in a mansion with Slenderman as a pseudo-father figure' trope that was super popular back in the day. The whole thing was mainly peaceful, with the Creeps living in relative harmony like a big ol commune situation barring when an enemy (usually Zalgo) upset that peace. It was a silly premise for sure, but it was also incredibly loved and mostly the same from one author to the next (with some distinct outliers). There had been some pushback that I had seen in regards to that scenario, mainly that it cut a lot of the horror elements of Creepypasta down to basically nothing, and as much as I agreed somewhat with those people who didn't like it... I went along and I thought, "okay, so how would one make it realistic?"

And that's where Delirium came from- I wanted to create a universe in which the trope had weight, a place where it would make sense for the Slenderman to have a mansion, and for Creepypastas to populate it. Basically the idea of looking at something completely satirical or comedic and taking it seriously. I've said it before, but Delirium is a love letter to that trope, and all the authors that contributed to it. It's also a prologue, the set up for the world I've been planning. What snippets you've seen there are really a shallow look at what's going on. I'm quite excited to submerge you all in the realm of the Gloom >:]

Worldbuilding for me has been literally eight years in the making. There's been tons of rewriting, editing, and researching that's gone into creating something that is detailed and nuanced. I have developed a great respect for authors who've made their own worlds- its exhausting even with already established characters and tropes to work with!

I first started with the very basic ideas of a world; flora, fauna, biomes, magic systems, and theology. I took the current trope and walked backwards, thinking about the steps it would take to get to that point in time, how relationships and factions would develop. Then I thought about the lore- who would know everything? Who would only know some facts, and what would those facts be? Who would know basically nothing, and how would relaying these facts happen?

My first piece of advice is: don't rush it. Seriously. You're going to be finding a lot of plot holes and contradictions otherwise. The easiest part is writing it, everything else needs the time to settle together.

My second piece of advice is to create a trophic pyramid of information. Who is the apex predator, the one who knows all the history, everything that has happened (The Slenderman)? Who are the secondary consumers, the smaller predators, the ones who know a lot, but not all of it (the Proxies)? Who are the herbivores, the ones with only a little knowledge (the Shades)? Who are the detrivores, the one's with basically no knowledge of anything (the humans, MC)?

The plants in this pyramid, the ones at the lowest rung, are the readers. They know nothing about the world they're going into, and frankly they shouldn't. There should be things that are never outright spoken, and there should be things that are only half-truths. Information shouldn't be spoonfed to the reader- an infodump is what can turn a lot of readers off. Instead, ease them into it.

Say, for example, a Bond. The meaning is pretty straightforward, but it isn't something that is used in everyday life. It has a special meaning in Delirium, it is something unique to the world. You first hear of it when Kate thinks about her relationship with Ann, that they are in a Bond. Instead of saying what a Bond entails, I wrote about how Kate represses her feelings so Ann can't sense them, how she can hear Ann's thoughts and respond to them. I wrote about the care she had for Ann, and vice versa.

When chapters focused on Masky or Hoodie, I wrote about them sending mental images to one another. Coordinating their movements, relaying plans. Bantering back and forth. When Jeff and Smile were the focus, it made it clear that a Bond is not exclusive to Proxys. All of these things show your reader what a Bond is, what its purpose is, and who experiences them.

As for how they work exactly, well, it's a bit spoiler-y, but I can say that they're very similar to how Illithid parasites in BG3 mentally connect people; only that one, it's usually only between two Shades or Proxys, and two, it's completely consensual. No accidental peeks into one another's mind.

Of course, I've left some stuff out still, and that'll be explored in Delusion. Crow will, in fact, develop a Bond with someone (or several someones) >:]

My favourite character to write probably has to be Hoodie. I really liked his character in Marble Hornets (both as Brian and Hoodie), and translating a lot of the behaviours in MH to Delirium was very fun. His ability to travel via shadows is due to the fact that, in MH, Hoodie seems to disappear and reappear just out of sight, traveling much farther and disappearing much quicker than an average human has the ability too. I decided to make him selectively mute due to it being a popular headcanon, and already had an interest in learning ASL. Researching different signs and describing them in writing was challenging, but in a good way. It made me focus on body movements more than dialogue.

I also really liked writing the scenes between Masky, Hoodie, and Toby because they are my little blorbos I squeeze like stress balls and put through Situations. Their banter is top tier.

The hardest to write was probably... Cathy, to be honest. She started out as an analogue to someone I once knew, but a lot of details and dialogue had to be tweaked over time. Mainly because doing a 1:1 of a real life person is cringe, but also because she became much more extreme than this person ever was. Some of the events in Delirium that she was a part of actually happened in real life to me, but a lot of it was also written in to 'round out' her character. Cathy is perhaps the weakest link in Delirium, a flat antagonistic tetragonist who only exists to spur the MC on in some ways and is ultimately discarded. More of a plot device than a person.

The members of a flock care for each other to an extent, due to the fact that they're herded together. Disagreements may occur, but when a hierarchy is made, it is maintained.

The shepherd of a flock is not affected by their flocks disagreements, or their emotions. They care for their flocks health because it keeps the wool growing. In fact, the shepherd can never understand the plights of their flock. There are fundamental cognitive and biological differences that set them permanently apart.

They aren't even the same species, after all.

It all started about two months ago. Deaths were happening so often, it was almost driving people out of the small town. Random murders and people going missing is all it was. And it was terrifying. Some people tried to ignore the news all together just to keep themselves sane, while most paid attention to it and listened to every word. A kid going missing Monday, a random family murder Tuesday, another kid missing Wednesday, a store clerk murdered Thursday, so on and so forth.

It’s safe to say it wasn’t normal.

“It has to be him, Sam,” Jessica says with confidence. Samuela’s best friend since childhood, Jessica Markinson, has been going on about this creepy legend. She claims this man in this legend is the whole reason behind these abnormal deaths.

“Come on, Slenderman? It’s just a legend, Jess,” Sam argues back. She has a hard time believing such legends. How is it possible for a man to be practically ten feet tall and have no face? And wear a tuxedo?

“But you have to admit that it’s no coincidence, right? I mean, all these kids going missing? Legend says Slenderman kidnaps kids and young adults for their souls.” She tried to make herself creepy to scare Samuela, but the girl wasn’t having it.

Samuela runs a hand through her brown, boy-cut hair, her nose twitching slightly as she feels a sneeze coming on. “Hold on, I’m about to sneeze,” she says, acting like she’s going to do the very action.

“Pineapple!” Jessica calls out randomly, something she usually does when someone is about to sneeze. She claims it helps them not sneeze, getting their mind off of it.

Instead, it did the opposite. Samuela actually sneezes, as she was only trying to fake it. She sniffles, rubbing her nose instinctively. “Sorry, I’m allergic to your bullshit,” she says, laughing at her own joke.

Jessica frowns, but it soon turns into a smile. “Sam, I’m serious though…hey, your sister went missing for a few years back then, wasn’t she?” After she saw her best friend frown as soon as she said those words, she looked away in shame. “Um…sorry. Forgot that's a sensitive topic…” she mumbles.

Samuela shakes her head gently, knowing her best friend to forget things often and get too excited about things. “It’s….fine. I’ve been seeing a therapist, you know? She’s been helping me….speak more about it.” Jessica looked up at Samuela in promise, her eyes widening in slight excitement.

“Anyways, I don’t think it’d have anything to do with it, you know? I mean, she came back, didn’t she? If Slenderman is real, then she wouldn’t…” Samuela looks down at her feet as she walks on the sidewalk. “…She wouldn’t have come back…”

Jessica rests a hand on her best friend’s back, comforting her in a way. “I know…sorry I brought it up.”

A long day of school had Samuela beat. After the talk with her friend, she couldn’t stop thinking about the legend, the random deaths, and…well, her older sister.

Samuela’s older sister disappeared after the death of their parents. She was left alone in the care of their aunt and uncle. And three years later, her sister came back. When she came back, she took Samuela under her care once doctors said she was stable enough. Her older sister was now her guardian.

She sat at the table, leaning back in her chair and away from her homework to take a break. Her mind couldn’t focus on anything. Her green eyes bore deeply into the textbook and notebook, her hand nervously twisting the gem stud piercing in her nose.

“Quit messing with it,” Her older sister's voice broke her concentration, and she quickly pulled her fingers away from her nose piercing. She grumbles, looking at her homework then up at her sister. Her older sister sat down at the table, a plate of food now before the two of them. “What’s got you so nervous, anyway?” She asks, taking a bite of her food. She glanced at Samuela for a split second, then focused her gaze on the paperwork in one of her hands.

Samuela now stared at her food, her thoughts being too loud to eat, somehow. “Nothing, just….” She pauses, thinking even more about her words.

When Samuela looks up, she sees the green eyes of her sister. She held a bored expression, as if she didn’t want to be there in the first place. But she knew that wasn’t it. Ever since her disappearance, and her arrival….she somehow became different. Both emotionally and…physically.

“I hear a but in that sentence, Sam.” She says.

“Kat,” she suddenly says, going for it, “remember when you said you’d answer any questions I had about the….incident….?”

Kathrine sets her utensil down, straightening in her seat a bit. This had gone serious, and she could sense it as soon as her little sister entered the house. It was tense from the beginning, since she came back home.

Either way, a promise is a promise. “Yeah, I do….what’s up, kiddo?”

Samuela felt a chuckle bubble up from her throat. It was sudden and cut short, as if she was going insane. She didn’t know why, but it was a bit funny for her to ask such a question. “Jessica…she was doing some research about these random deaths,” she starts slowly, “and she’s connecting it with this stupid legend…” Her words stop, her mind wondering how to continue.

But Kathrine knew where this was going. She slowly leaned back in her chair, preparing for the question. For him to be brought up. “What legend….?”

Samuela chuckles again, “Oh man, it’s so unbelievable she’d connect this stupid legend with these deaths. That’s Jessica for you, I guess,” Samuela mumbles, now rambling off before getting to the point. “Slenderman. Do you know anything about that legend?” She finally says, meeting her sister's eyes with such a serious expression, you’d think she was really interested in the topic.

Kathrine narrows her eyes, staring at Samuela. She felt she could uncover some secrets by doing so, but she got nothing. She wasn’t psychic, either. “Yeah, I do,” she says with a monotone voice. Kathrine could tell, though, that her sister isn’t seeing the tall man himself. Or she’d be more frightened in speaking about him. This was all just part of Samuela and Jessica’s detective games. She wanted to tell them to stop. To stop talking about him and forget about him completely. But…she figured they aren’t the only ones thinking about the so-called legend.

Kathrine suddenly puts on a smile and nods, “It’s a legend, after all. An old one at that. My friends and I made fun of it for a long time in school,” she says as she gets up, grabbing her practically full plate of dinner. “Now, eat your dinner. You need the energy for wrestling tomorrow.”

Samuela felt suspicious about her older sister's actions. This wasn’t like her. Her expression….she looked too serious about it. “What about you….?” She decides to ask instead, seeing as her sister only took a couple of bites before throwing it away.

Kathrine sets the empty plate in the sink, her back towards her sister. “I….lost my appetite.” Then, she quickly headed to her room.

As soon as Kathrine closed the door behind her and sat down on her bed, she let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. The nervous tics started to appear as her body began to shake a little in slight fear. Trauma is what it was. But….after so long…she had already lost most of her emotions. She barely cared. Ever since she got back, she hardly even flinched when the legendary tall man was mentioned.

But now…now it was her sister getting involved. No….she won’t let her get involved.

Kathrine looks down at her arm. She pulls the sleeve of her shirt to her elbow, her fingers gently raking over the scar. The mark. A mark of a circle with an X in the middle of it.

“Over my dead body, Slenderman….”

Headcanons and lore for The Splendorman

By me. Because I'm reliving my childhood.

Splendorman is known as the older brother of the famous leyend, The Slenderman.

But unlike his eldritch more sinister counterpart, The Splendorman is a being of kindness who's intentions are nothing more than to spread joy and support to those who find themselves in difficult situations.

Splendor is known as this innocent, naive man who only expects the best in people. Someone who does nothing more than playing with kids and making balloon animals. He's emotional, he's childish, he's oblivious.

But there has to be more than that.

Splendorman is a couple of centuries older than Slenderman. He's the second oldest faceless person out of the four that we know of the oldest being Offenderman and the tallest one of all.

Despite this he looks very young (or at least as young as an immortal cryptid can be). Mostly because he spends a lot of time with children and his upbeat attitude makes him feel like that. He doesn't really feel old either, he's pretty comfortable with his own age especially when he sees his younger brother getting back pain from watching over too many edgy teens.

Kids are ruthless sometimes though.

He, unlike his pale white relatives, has a sort of brownish/natural skin color. This is because he spends most of his time surrounded by humans and human culture. He even is capable of blushing because he is way more open with humans and their positive energy and sense of wonder sticks with him.

Splendor is probably the most capable of the family in the physical way, his psychic powers aren't that good. He can carry around a tree like it's nothing, is very flexible and incredibly fast, but since he doesn't use his powers much they're not as intense as one might expect. Meaning:

He has the weakest "sickness". Since he doesn't use his psychic powers besides luring people towards him, Splendor is limited to use visual and sensory alucinations like seeing an old memory or a toy, feeling a sensation of warmth or smelling something that reminds you of your happiest moments.

He doesn't use it to attack but when needed he goes for overstimulation, causing seizures or epilepsy on some people, driving them mad with "pins and needles" on their whole body or making them ill with the gross and awful sick smell of too much sugar.

Splendorman is very much a pacifist (another reason why he doesn't use his sickness a lot) and he doesn't like to get involved in physical fights. However, my version still has his short temper and is something he is very self-conscious about.

When he is mad he goes absolutely feral on whoever provoques him, and if anyone tries to stop him they're guaranteed a visit to the hospital.

And since he's not used to use his powers he straight up gets his hands dirty. Faceless People's sicknesses don't work with each other and lets not forget that he's the strongest (physically) of the family so they won't even bother.

He has a deep connection with World War I and II.

It was during that period of time when he had the most "work" to do: taking care of both victims and soldiers, plus dealing with the depressing energy of the world and learning about the human ethics of war and the military back then.

Those wars really warped his vision of the world and he was in danger of becoming a menacing and dangerous figure just like the rest of the family due to all the stress and fear he sensed during that time.

It really left an impact on him, so much so that he still keeps lots of trends of the era on his clothes and domain because he hasn't been able to completely process it all yet.

His domain now..

All Faceless people when they reach a certain level of power find themselves a dimension all for their own made by themselves. They have complete control over it, they can warp it and change it to their taste and needs and time is paused unless they say otherwise.

Splendor's domain is a wide open field of grass and colorful flowers. When it's day it's always sunny and warm, when it's night the sky is full of vibrant and colorful dancing stars. And in the middle of it all there's a mansion even bigger than Slenderman's, where the children Splendorman takes in reside.

Besides de wild flowers of the field, the mansion has a huge garden filled with any plant one can think of. In the center of this is a wide cristal lake with a thin river that goes through the whole garden towards a nearby forest. This forest is a whimsical one, filled with random objects that pop here and there every time (like bath tubs, chairs, bicycles, etc.), colorful leaves falling every second and giant rocks that move when no one is looking.

Fungi and moss makes up a path where everyone can find their way back if they ever get lost

But the star of the show has to be Splendor's Carnaval.

It's just your regular carnaval nothing new. It has games, food, a ferris wheel, a carousel, bumping cars, etc. It shows up at night at the other side of the forest so the kids won't go spending all their time there.

The whole domain is a form of escapism for all the children, teens and adults Splendor lets in.

The place is filled with a sweetened aroma and a feeling or dreaminess. People would describe it as revisiting an old memory or living in a dream. There's so much calmness in there, one can actually forget everything that they've been through and sleep on the ground without a worry.

Just be aware when Splendor is upset. He is a very emotional person though he usually is in control of his domain despite it, but in his times of immense distress the children can find giant craters where bombs had explode, extremely dried out plants, and a feeling that they are no longer safe.

And now: the juice

Aka. the family drama

Faceless People feed off of energy. They don't drain all the energy from a person, they just get contagious by different feelings or emotions. Mainly bad emotions like envy, anger, fear or despair since those toxic feelings are the strongest and easiest to get. Therefore, the Faceless family is a very toxic family since they just consume toxic emotions.

They're known to be vain and manipulative. They think they are superior than humans, ghosts and demons are just minor annoyances and other cryptids are like animals.

Splendor is not like that. He was able to break out of the toxic energy and now feeds off of love, happiness and joy. All that positive energy that mainly kids carry (hence why he sometimes comes off as childish or naive), but he also goes behind older people or anyone who still has any sense of wonder.

And since these feelings are healthier he is technically the healthiest of the family. And that also contributes to his physical strength.

This makes him the "black sheep" of the family.

Because of this he is the main subject of criticism during family gatherings and he's not taken seriously most of the time because of his "goddie-two-shoes" attitude, however he is far from being oblivious to all of this. For this reason he is the king of passive-agression. He has developed a thick skin when dealing with them, sometimes being straight up cold with his comments out of spite, giving him the title of a "fake" when he's just reciprocating the gesture.

He has a little bit of a supperiority complex too because he is stronger and has a higher moral than his family but he won't admit it. He gets a little too cocky sometimes tho.

He has distanced himself from his family now (the only exception being Slenderman and yet they don't see each other often), but he hesitates on cutting them off entirely. He desperately wants to get rid of having to see them every single reunion, but he's more terrified of being alone.

Splendor would absolutely bully Slenderman every single time they meet tho. He can't break the big brother code.

Being an immortal cryptid being becomes lonely when there's no one else like you. All there is left of his people are his family and he can't leave all his emotional support on children.

However.

Nothing can ever be compared to his feelings towards his uncle Offenderman.

He doesn't like the use of the word "hate" very much and he tries to not show or feel it a lot, because he believes it's a very strong, toxic and negative feeling.

However, he breaks this rule with Offenderman.

He despises his uncle and the sentiment is reciprocated, yet nobody has ever seen or heard of a discussion or a fight between them. Like- something definitely happened, but they won't speak.

It's better to leave it there anyway. Those two can destroy a town in a matter of seconds if they feel like it.

The Splendorman is a very underestimated person. Him being a happy-go-lucky creature doesn't mean he isn't capable of doing harm. Or wishes to.

He is as deep as he is mythical. Someone more than a cryptid- a fairy tail.

Humans talk about a tall kind man, who takes them to his paradise and grants them one last happy wish before returning to their sour lives, someone who makes teens laugh like when they were children, and houses kids when no one is looking. The Faceless people just talk about a disappointment, a deviant who pretends to be a good person to distract himself from his "true nature", a clown even.

Splendor just lets them talk.
