if your not arab and not israeli the conversation isn't about you. you don't have to worry about hamas from where you live
Imagine if we applied that logic to literally anything else. "Slavery? If you're not a slave owner or a slave in the USA stfu. Holocaust? If you're American why do you even care??? BLM? Stay out of it if you're not black! Stop Asian Hate? Hm you don't look Asian though! Why do you care about the Ukraine that's between them and Russia!" the conversation is about me because I'm human and its occurring on my planet but also because my country is responsible for supplying the bombs being dropped on civilians. The cutesy little messages on the bomb shells might mostly be written by Israel, but it's alongside the labels of US weapons manufacturers.
I also wouldn't be worrying about Hamas if I were literally anywhere because they're not out to get me, they're not going guns blazing firing bunker busters and white phosphorus over civilian areas. The occupation was a threat long before October 7th and before Hamas existed.
You know something interesting? I've never seen an oppressed group or one genuinely being targeted tell people to stay out of it. I've seen so so many people in support of the occupation say to stay out of it, it's not your fight, etc. But I have not seen one Palestinian say it. I can't speak for the feelings of those I have not seen express them but while I've seen Palestinians rightfully call out those on the wrong side of history, I've yet to see one tell anyone to look away because that's just as deadly.
Someone saying "it's not my problem so I'll look away" helps the side committing the war crimes. If you walk by and see a bunch of guys robbing a bank it sure helps them a lot more if you say you saw nothing than it's helping the hostages they're killing. The ones being killed will say "what the hell are you doing? Help us why are you walking away?? And why is that guy giving the robbers more weapons what the fuck??" but they will never tell you to shut up and walk away like you saw nothing
So it's a little fuckin weird whenever I hear someone say to look the other way as those people tend to be on the wrong side of history. Like every time
#i know i know it's not a direct parallel but i do this (probably neurodivergent) thing where i deadass can't make a point without analogies#maybe because that other thing is easier to grasp and explain idk idk

I'm curious about the autism HC/Fanon's for different characters. I know there's a few characters that are commonly mentioned to have autistic characteristics (Ichika, like all of wxs ect) but I do wonder how many characters could have parallels or things about them which would suggest autism or similar neurodivergence. Would love an in depth (or slightly in depth) look into this.
Sincerely, an autistic fan who sees herself in way too many characters
Full disclosure that I am not autistic. At least I don’t think I am. So I’ll try to do an overview but feel free to correct / add anything.
Rui is very coded as autistic. I want to do a full post on this one day (currently in the process of translating some magazine “interviews”), but to give a quick rundown: he infodumps a lot (there is a card of him doing this), his interest in engineering and platypuses easily reads like a special interest, he has difficulty processing, understanding, and occasionally expressing his own emotions despite being able to read other people well, he is sensitive to textures and tastes in food (he dislikes fruit that tastes like vegetables, like melon or cucumber), list goes on. Also other people have constantly called him weird and isolated him for this, which is a thing that happens to a lot of neurodivergent people. Revival my dream touches on this a lot so I suggest reading the flashback chapters in that event.
Toya as well is another character who I think is autistic-coded, and I see this pointed out by the fandom a lot. I made a post about the fact that he is sensitive to textures in food a while ago and most people tagged it saying that he was autistic lol. Also the fact that he isn’t good at expressing emotions on his face earlier on in the game reminds me a lot of Rina from Love Live who is pretty much agreed upon to be autistic. Oh and then there’s his habit of staring and not picking up on social cues. So a lot to back up this one as well.
Shiho is one I see brought up a lot too. Iirc the main reasons I’ve seen pointed out are her more direct way of speaking that can come off as mean when she isn’t trying to sound that way, lack of a filter (ties into the last point), as well as her intrest in music that could read like a special interest. Also like Rui people tended to keep their distance from her because they thought she was cold and unkind even though she isn’t.
Also as I was writing this, multiple people said that Ichika is autistic in the tags of her birthday post so yeah that’s something. I’m guessing because her interest in Miku could be read as a special interest, as well as her general awkwardness in social situations and overthinking.
For me personally, I’ve always read Emu as having ADHD but I could understand why people might read her as autistic or both as well.
Other than Rui and probably Toya and Shiho I’m not sure how much of any coding was intentional, or whether it happens to be that you can read it that way, but there’s no harm in seeing yourself in a character and coming up with headcanons. This isn’t the greatest post about neurodivergent coding in prsk and I’ve definitely seen better ones in the tag but I hope this helps a bit.

Sora was a big neurodivergent mood in KH3 specifically and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it
It's most prominent towards the beginning of the game, where Sora is asked to follow his heart to open the new world portals, and we see him struggle to do so not once, but twice. (With the same posturing, even)
Like he genuinely cannot think of where to go or what it is in his heart that he's supposed to be following, which is really interesting to me because I don't think we've seen this behavior from him before. But at the same time, it makes sense, because he's basically being asked to use his intuition, which is... pretty difficult to do on command
The two scenes are different in one way though, in that what triggers Sora deciding where to go is different each time. The first time, his subconscious is clearly telling him to visit Olympus, as shown by the way he flexes his muscles like three different times upon hearing the word "hero"
But for one reason or another, it just doesn't fully click with him until Goofy brings up the "may your heart be your guiding key" line. I don't know what exactly is blocking his brain from realizing he wants to go to Olympus but there's definitely Something going on there and I'm endlessly fascinated by it
The second time, he arguably doesn't follow "his" heart at all; he follows Roxas's.
Which yeah this is still him following his own desire to bring Roxas back, but it's interesting how he doesn't keep the focus on himself for very long if he can help it
Though it's not too hard to imagine why considering Donald and Goofy's reactions to his struggles
Acting like he isn't taking things seriously, noting that this particular struggle is becoming routine... like I said, major parallels to what a lot of neurodivergent folk go through.
In general, there's a lot of people thinking Sora should just Know Things without being given clear instructions, and then he tries to get clearer instructions on what to do and he's kinda just given a shrug.
And while Sora does eventually figure this all out, it's without any direct input from the others. It also doesn't help that they spend a lot of the game telling Sora not to follow his heart (which is telling him to help Riku save Aqua) because it would be too dangerous, while also... telling him to follow his heart. But only to accomplish what they need him to do.
Yeah it's no wonder he's still stuck wondering what "following his heart" is supposed to mean by Re:Mind, AKA after he's already defeated Xehanort
Sora is trying so hard in this game to be what people want from him and they're making that super complicated by being unclear on what exactly it is they want him to do. That's not entirely their fault since they don't actually have all the answers, especially Donald and Goofy, but it's clearly affecting Sora regardless.
(Probably unrelated/unintended but the Heartbinder is also odd to me? It's meant to make his "inherent gifts" stronger, the gift in this case being... connecting with others?? I know it's just there as a summoning mechanic but is there a reason Sora needs extra help with this, or a reason Yen Sid thinks he does? Is it because of how he lost his powers?? Does that make it a parallel to a disability aid???)
Also worth noting, though not directly a neurodivergent parallel, Sora's confusion over romantic love in this game (expanded upon in the novels) also falls into the category of "things everyone else just Understands inherently that Sora doesn't"
Quoiromantic Sora my beloved
In conclusion Sora is neurodivergent and it became a lot more apparent in KH3, where he has arguably the vaguest instructions and overall least suitable conditions for him to thrive
#kingdom hearts#kh3#kh sora#analysis#meta#Personally I'd argue he has autism or ADHD#but I also know that the traits he displays are broad enough to apply to a lot of neurodivergencies and I'm not an expert on any of these#So I just used 'neurodivergent' as a blanket term to encompass more possibilities

Something similar to xenogenders but for sexualities?
Hi! I’m asking about this because while there’s a lot of people talking about the connection between autism and gender expression, I don’t see many people talking about the connection between autism and romantic and/or sexual orientation.
Just to be clear, I am not talking about the MOGAI community, although there may be some overlap. The MOGAI community is not directly associated with neurodivergence like the xenogender community is.)
My own personal experience is that I’m somewhere on the ace spectrum due to trauma, but I’ve been considering whether I’m also on the aro spectrum due to my autism. I feel as though my “romantic” love for people isn’t wholly platonic or wholly romantic, rather somewhere in between. I also feel like I do not love people “correctly” or in a “normal” way. While I could always just say something like “aroflux due to autism” i feel like this might be a common enough occurrence that we would benefit from an actual label. I’m certain I’m not the only autistic person who feels this way. I wanted to explore this idea more.
Some research has yielded the following identities:
Autisexual - Named similarly to autigender, however it sounds very fetishistic, along the lines of sapiosexual. At a glance it seems like attraction to autistic people, which is really just a fetish, and I don’t want a word that conjures up that kinda imagery even if the technical definition is different. Autigender has already been bastardized into “autism is my gender” instead of “autism affects my gender” and I feel like autisexual would suffer the same fate
Xenosexual - I’m only including this because of the same prefix, but it seems most people using the word xenosexual are talking about a fetish for aliens. This is not at all what I want. Again, I’m only including it here to cover all my bases.
Alterous attraction - This refers to love that is sorta in between platonic and romantic, which feels very accurate to what I want. However, it doesnt seem to be autism specific. I do really like this concept though. To me it seems to be like queerplatonic love but without the Q slur which seems very excellent and inclusive of people who are uncomfy with the word (like me, due to personal experience).
Neurosexual/Neuroqueer - I like this one the most out of all the things I’ve found, because it seems to be a direct parallel to neurogender, however as I’ve said I am not a fan of a Q word, which seems to be very tied into neurosexuality.
Nebularomantic - I like this one too. The definition is “unable to tell the difference between platonic and romantic and alterous attraction due to neurodivergence” which is pretty accurate to what I’m looking for. However, it seems like it’s only for asexual people. The romantic suffix implies asexuality, whereas the sexual suffix doesn’t imply any specific type of attraction. While personally I am (probably) asexual, not every autistic person is. We need to be inclusive of the autistic community that does want to have sex.
What are y’all’s thoughts on these words? Do you prefer any one over the other? Are there any other similar concepts I’m missing in this post? Please let me know, this subject is very interesting to me and I want to talk more about it

Why I think Shigeo Kageyama (Mob) is autistic
Quick word before analysis:
I don’t know what the author of mob psycho 100% had in mind when he created this character. This is only me sharing my point of view. Take it for what it’s worth.
Autism is a spectrum, the following characteristics don’t represent its entirety. Also english isn’t my language. I’m just doing my best to convey my thoughts ^^
1. Lies, being fooled, implicit meanings
Since the first episode, Shigeo is a character that appears to be very gullible and is often qualified of “softy”.He clearly has trouble telling if people are lying to him or having malicious intent. He seems to believe everything that he’s told as if other people were as honest as him (sad truth being that they’re not).
Some people might just see this as an endearing character trait or a quirk but I think this is a first hint at autism. Most people on the spectrum have trouble to distinguish between lies and truth or sarcasm and honesty because we have difficulty reading between the lines.
There are so many examples of this side of him like the fact that he doesn’t even suspect Reigen of lying to him about having psychic abilities or him not thinking that Dimple (エクボ) has malicious intent when he follows him around. But I think the following dialogue summarise this point perfectly:
2. meltdown (the whole 0-100% concept)
First of all what is a meltdown? A meltdown is “an intense response to overwhelming situations. It happens when someone becomes completely overwhelmed by their current situation and temporarily loses behavioural control. This loss of control can be expressed verbally (shouting, screaming, crying), physically (kicking, lashing out, biting) or in both ways”.
Shigeo being in a cycle of slowly getting to 100% and exploding with psychic powers is really similar to the way meltdowns work. We see him getting through the day accumulating small things like unexpected events, social interactions, conflicting feelings or an overload of sensations all of which bring him closer to loosing control of his emotions.
In my opinion this sounds exactly like a meltdown.
3. facial expression
Something quite common for people with autism is to have trouble expressing feelings not only with words but also with facial expressions that don’t match what we’re trying to convey. Mob isn’t expressionless but the changes between his usual face and his others expressions are quite subtle.
4. Lacking social skills
His problems in socialisation are obvious from the start but it becomes even more prominent in the third episode of season 1 with Dimple’s sect. This episode shows us how Mob was always left out of group with children his age because he simply couldn’t read the atmosphere.
In the anime this line is translated by “get a clue” but it doesn’t really match the Japanese words used here “空気を読む” which means “read the situation/sense the mood”. Also I think it’s worth mentioning that in episode 4 he literally names it the “reading-in-the-mood technique” (空気を読む技術). This just illustrates how non-natural this is to him.
Again this is something anyone on the spectrum can probably relate to. Mob is clearly hurt by people constantly telling him to read the mood when he just can’t!
5. Trouble expressing feelings:
In the same episode with Dimple and his sect, it is made very clear that Shigeo has two difficulties: Reading the mood and expressing how he feels. It’s not that he doesn’t want to smile I’d even say that at one point (when Dimple uses his power on him and it doesn’t work) he wants to laugh like everyone else but he can’t.
Dimple then assumes that Mob has no emotions which leads to him saying this:
How many times have people on the spectrum heard this because they couldn’t read and express emotions the same way than most people do? My heart sank when he said that to Mob...
6. Monotone voice
I didn’t find a video of just Mob talking to illustrate this but it’s really obvious in the anime (I only watch in VO so I don’t know about the dub). Mob always talk with the same tone except when he’s at 100%
This is also something widely experienced by people with autism who often say something with the “wrong” tone of voice and it ends up sounding mean, sarcastic or uninterested.
7. bad at sports
This might seem unimportant but I found interesting that Mob was introduced to us as someone absolutely terrible in sports because usually heroes in Shonen mangas are more on the athletic side.
While Mob being bad at sports doesn’t automatically means he’s autistic, I think this is a hint more in that direction as most people on the spectrum are often affected by dyspraxia.
What is dyspraxia? Dyspraxia is “a form of developmental coordination disorder (DCD) is a common disorder affecting fine and/or gross motor coordination in children and adults”.
8. Bullied in parallel reality
So season 2 is incomplete for now but I just watched episode 5 and I decided to add this point to my list. Apparently some people are arguing about the accuracy of the version of mob in the parallel reality that Mogami showed him. In my opinion it was very accurate.
Mob’s environnement is perfect for him. His power (even thought he doesn’t use it much in his daily life) helps him connecting with others (his brother, Reigen, bodybuilding club,...). Because he is in such a good environnement he can thrive and become a better version of himself.
Not everyone is born with the chance Mob has. Growing up in a loving family, making caring friends, having kind teachers or meeting an adult that will guide you...These are probably things most of us wish were part of our life. Especially for neurodivergent people that are often confronted to rejection.
In my opinion this episode showed very well how people who identifies with mob’s characteristics are actually treated in the real world. In a world where they don’t have a cool power that creates ties with other people. In a world where the harsh reality of being bullied, hit, ignored, mocked and harassed is common for people that are considered “different”.
This episode physically hurt me while watching but I hope I was able to make a point without being too emotional.
Conclusion:
So that’s it. These are the main reasons why I think Shigeo is on the autism spectrum. There are still a few but they would be more arguable so I’m going to keep these to myself. Feel free to disagree with my opinion but please be respectful.
In the end I think this show contains so many powerful life advices that can help anyone who’s neurodivergent. Mob is such a wonderful character and I’m glad others are not making a fool out of him like it would have been the case in so many others anime/TV shows.
I’d like to conclude with a quote of Reigen. This is in my opinion one of the best speech in the history of anime:
“Listen, just because you have psychic powers doesn’t change the fact that you’re a human. People who run fast, people good at studying or people with strong body odour. Psychic powers are just another characteristic. You must embrace that as a part of yourself and continue to live positively. The truth behind one’s charm is kindness. Become a good person. That’s all.”
If anyone read this until the end thank you!!

8. did you have a muse you tried to play, but didn’t feel connected to? // 30. what are your favorite RP tropes to play? (angst, hurt-comfort, etc…) // 36. do you feel similar to your muse in any way? // 39. what’s a song that reminds you of your muse? / 40. what if... our hands touched over the meme...?
8. Did you have a muse you tried to play, but didn't feel connected to?
Yes and no? I haven't actually tried to pick up any canons, I've mostly stuck with ocs but like.... You ever have those ocs that you like conceptually but they just.... Stay as stiff as a cardboard box? All my ocs start out that way and then slowly develop, but sometimes they just.... Don't like me. I think my cadash was one of those. And my qunari. Granted sometimes it's also because my energy is so focused on others, like nova and faolan, but... Yeah that's kind of it.
30. What are your favourite rp tropes to play?
Honestly? There are so many. I think it's obvious I do love romance, so a lot of them lean in that direction. I'm a sucker for things like almost-kiss, the "because I love you!' trope, reciprocal hurt comfort and bandaging of wounds.... Also the concept of slow burn ( but ADHD go brrr so it's never actually a slow burn ) and a sucker for learning to trust. Perceived enemies to lover is also my jam. Honestly, there isn't a lot of tropes I don't like? I'm not big on like. Heavy angst with no comfort, betrayal, love triangles and such but... Idk I'm a softie.
36: do you feel similar to your muse in any way?
I'm gonna do this for Asha because Asha is more developed than ivvie, but there are absolutely some areas where I project myself onto her. For one, Asha cares so much about people. She is an aggressive friend and once she likes you, she will make sure you take care of yourself, fight you if you talk bad about yourself.... She will fight the gods if they try to hurt you. And I know for a fact that I've probably threatened to eat or fight someone on your behalf, as well as on other people's behalf. I love people aggressively.
Also her struggles with her magic are a parallel I've had with my neurodivergencies. Knowing you're different when you're young but being gaslit into believing it's not true, being ignored in favour of a sibling a few years younger than you... Realising as an adult why you always felt different and wondering how nobody saw it, but because your sibling was more obvious than you, they got the support they needed and you slipped through the cracks. It was unintentional, but it's pretty obvious.
Also just... Asha feeling like a fish out of water, and being uncertain of her footing and not knowing how to deal is peak autistic experience and while I don't know if she is 100% autistic and ADHD, because I am it obviously will come across in how I express myself through my writing. It's inevitable. How does one write a neurotypical mind when one doesn't even know what that means?
39: what's a song that reminds you of your muse?
Here's a playlist instead. Sometimes songs don't remind me in words and more in vibes but.... Yes.
Also for iveani,
40: what if... Our hands touched over the meme....?
😳😳😳😳😳 what if....
