Requested by @cncownerxstefansalvatorefanxstay for a fluffy Halloween with Stefan! This prompt kinda possessed me for a minute until it was done being written, so I figured what better day to double up on fic posting than Friday the 13th? Hope you like it!

"Okay! What do you think? Nadja and Laszlo or Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf? One is more fitting but the other is funnier."

I held up the costumes in question so Stefan, my boyfriend, could get a good look. He glanced up from his reading with a bewildered expression, his eyes scanning each of the costumes before landing on me with a frown.

"What is this for?" he asked. My mouth dropped open.

"For Halloween! Obviously! Come on, Stefan, we have to dress up."

"No. No, we don't," he said, a laughing smile tugging at the corner of his mouth as his eyes dropped back to his reading. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Are you seriously telling me you're not going to dress up with me for Halloween?"

"I... think I am telling you that, yeah."

"But what about the trick-or-treaters who come to the door! We want to be the cool people with awesome costumes, don't we?"

"Mmm.... no."

I sighed dramatically, letting both costumes drop to my sides. I narrowed my eyes at my boyfriend, but he didn't flinch, not looking up from his reading.

"I'll support you if you decide to dress up," he finally said. "But I'm not putting on a costume."

"Fine. I guess I can't force you," I said, flopping my arms dramatically as I turned away from Stefan, a smirk on my face. This was not over by a longshot.

A few hours later, as the sun started to set and it was time to get ready for trick-or-treaters, Stefan wandered out of the bathroom with his shirt off. We were hosting a big Halloween party later, so we needed to be dressed and ready for both.

"You decided not to dress up?" asked Stefan, running a suspicious eye over my outfit. I just shrugged.

"It's not as much fun if you don't do it with me."

Stefan smirked a little as he moved back towards he bed. "The guilt trip's not gonna work on me."

"Not even if I ramp it up to an eleven?"

He snorted, not bothering to respond as he surveyed the outfit I'd laid out for him on the bed. Once he was apparently satisfied the shirt wouldn't secretly turn into a ruffled monstrosity befitting Laszlo Cravensworth, he pulled it on and buttoned it up, then slipped on the gray pea coat I'd left with it.

With my heavy, light brown jacket and headband, my plan was officially complete. I smiled and stepped closer to Stefan, fixing his collar before running my hands through his hair a few times, spiking it up even more. When I'd finished, I stepped back and gave him a beaming smile.

"You look great," I said. He smiled, then leaned in to kiss me. We lingered for a minute before he pulled back.

"You look great too."

We shared a smile, then I held out a hand, which Stefan took.

"Come on, we have trick-or-treaters to greet."

I pulled him after me as we headed downstairs. Damon, Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie were setting up for the party, but I'd volunteered Stefan and I to answer the door for anyone who came by.

We didn't have to wait long before the doorbell rang. I smiled and grabbed the bowl of candy, Stefan right behind me as we opened the door. A group of kids with their high school-aged chaperon stood at the door beaming, candy baskets in-hand.

"Trick or treat!" they chorused. I smiled.

"You guys have some great costumes! What do we have, a vampire, a Jedi, Spock..."

"What are you dressed as?" asked a little girl towards the front. I beamed, mentally thanking her for the opening I'd been waiting for.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Stefan, ready to tell her we hadn't dressed up. I spoke up before he got the chance.

"We're Bella and Edward from Twilight!"

I felt Stefan tense next to me as realization washed over him, which only made me smile wider as the kids beamed.

"That's a good costume!" said the girl in the front.

"You look just like him," the boy next to her agreed, nodding at Stefan.

"Thanks! Let's get you guys your candy, your outfits deserve some extra treats."

We smiled and waved as we gave the kids their candy, and I noticed Stefan slipped the vampire an extra bar or two. We waved as they headed off, and as soon as I shut the door, Stefan turned to me, hands on his hips and a stern look on his face.

"Bella and Edward? Seriously?"

"Yeah!" I replied, not even a little bit phased. "It's a low key costume, enough that you didn't even realize you were wearing it, but I still get to do a couples costume with my boyfriend. It's the best of both worlds."

Stefan sighed a deep, heavy, long-suffering sigh.

"I'm changing before the party."

"No!" I cried, reaching out to grab his arm. He hadn't made to move away yet, but I wanted to be ready if he did. "Please wear it for the party too. Please? For me?"

I batted my eyelashes and gave Stefan my best adorable guilt-trip look. He stared back, his expression not budging an inch, until finally he sighed again, throwing his head back and staring at the ceiling.

"Fine."

"Yes! Thank you." I pulled him to me, and grudgingly, he wrapped his arms around my waist as a small smile tugged its way onto his face. "You're the best boyfriend ever, Stef."

"I know."

He smiled again, then leaned down to kiss me. I leaned into him, and I think we would've stayed that way a lot longer if we hadn't been interrupted by another ring of the doorbell.

Reluctantly, Stefan and I pulled apart, sharing a smile.

"We should probably get that," I said. He hummed, not quite letting me go yet.

"I don't know if I can. You're like my own personal brand of heroin."

I laughed, which got a beaming smile out of Stefan even as I finally slipped out of his grasp.

"I can't believe you paid enough attention when we watched the movies to remember that but not enough to realize I was putting you in the same costume Edward wore!"

Stefan shrugged. "Maybe I just wanted to let you have this one."

I paused, narrowing my eyes at Stefan to try to decide if he really had put up with the costume for me, knowing the whole time what I'd been doing, or if he was just messing with me. Before I could decide, he reached past me to swing the door open and another group of kids greeted us with smiles on their faces.

"Trick or treat!"

"Wow, another vampire costume. There seem to be a lot of those this year," he said, smiling at the kid in question. "I think yours is the best I've seen, though."

The kid absolutely beamed at the compliment, and I moved up next to Stefan as we chatted with the trick-or-treaters and handed out the candy. One of the kids actually guessed our costume this time, and Stefan was the one to tell them they were right, we were Bella and Edward. With his arm around me as we talked with each and every kid who came to the door, I could tell Stefan was warming up to the couple's costume idea, whether or not he'd been aware of what he was getting into in the first place.

I just hoped that warm feeling would be enough to carry him through whatever inevitable bad jokes Damon made at his expense all night once the kids were gone and the party began.

I quickly stormed off after an argument with klaus. I didn't like the way he was treating me being so behind overprotective and for what? I thought to myself. As I stormed off I saw Elena, and just walked past, she followed me. As I sat in my car about to drive away, she appeared "are you ok?" She asked with genuine concern written all over her face. "I am. Now I have to go" I said driving away.

Befofe Elena could respond I was gone. I decided to head over to Stefan's although the idea of vampires at this point made me so upset.

I stormed instead pouring a glass of red wine. I saw out of the corner of my eye something move.

It was Stefan lurking in the shadows and probably cracking some jokes with Damon. "What's wrong" he said sternly looking into my eyes for an answer.

"Nothing" I said walking away.

Meanwhile: Elena's perspective:

I entered klaus's apartment seeing a mess all over the floor. I felt startled as he quickly appeared behind me. "What are you song here mortal" said Klaus. I looked back feeling threatened. "Just looking out for my friend what happened here?"

"None of your business. I suggest you move along now" he said sipping on whine with an egotistical nod.

"Klaus whatever you said or did really affected Y/

He smiled in the most creepy way possible "you think I don't already know that love...... I'm sorry but I don't care" he said with a smile avoiding his pain and emotions. Keeping eye contact before walking over to a window and staring outside.

"Seems just like you. Well, I suggest you fix that and stop being so paranoid" I said turning around to walk away before I could reach the door klaus stood in front of me. "Not a word about our conversation."

I gulped staring him

I opened the door ignoring klaus "wait" he yelled

"now be a dear for me and help me find her pendent in the after math it got lost... and let's just say it's quite a magical pendent and when disconnected from Y/N it can teleport"

"Klaus. Fine" I said as I slowly started to look around and moving paint cans, I moved wood that was on the floor, finding everybting but the pendent, paint, paint cans, wood, brushes, hair.

I scoffed as I was getting all dirty. Meanwhile klaus just painted. I saw a photo of him and Y/N.

"That's a nice sentiment but you should show it with your actions" which clearly hit klaus as he turned to me with a death stare. I didn't care and kept searching after a couple minutes I looked everywhere I double checked and even decided to look under tables, chairs, other rooms but couldn't find that pendent. I decided to head out.

"Where are you going?" Said klaus I quickly moved "to comfort my friend." I said before storming off.

Y/N's POV: walked away from stefan slamming the door as I walked into his room I found Damon.

"Why is this pretty girl walking around so anger?"

"Damon don't even" "Hey im just trying to brignten the mood" ne said being truthful with a hint of sarcasm.

I looked back at him seeing his sculptured face along with his muscles. I didn't pay much attention as I just stared out the window.

"Something with klaus?" He asked "yeah but it's not important"

"Tell me" he said softly walking toward me looking at the window with me. Seeing beautiful soft rain and bright green trees. I looked away

"just him being overprotective and taking it to the next level" I said annoyed

I decided to walk away, however he grabbed my hand. "Relax. I'll talk with him if you need me to" said Damon with a smile, I could tell in his eyes that he cared for me.

I decided to go down stairs. Seeing Stefan "Heyy you ok?"

"Yeah... it's just klaus being way too

overprotective" I said in a joking manner "ah" he said. I opened the door, and saw a car it looked so familiar it was Elena's... I was so beyond excited to see her.

Untill I saw klaus stepping out. I went back inside and hid.

"Klaus is here" said stefan. I quickly ran into his room. However klaus already knew what was up, however the door was locked. I stayed in a closest filled with a bunch of clothes.

Somehow klaus got the door open and found me opening the closet "we need to talk" said klaus sternly vamping me into Elena's car.

"Elena step out please" aid klaus elena got out heading inside. "I'm sorry... love.." he said. I was so surprised to hear him apologize so quickly l literally didn't have to say a single word.

I needed time to process things. "I shouldn't have done any of that or attacked Elijah."

I felt happy knowing that he was making a better effort. "Well... aslong as you promise to never kill anybody for me then, and stop being so overprotective the only time you need to worry about someone taking your place is when I'm getting fucked" I scoffed "awww such a BRAT.

Well love I have seen you get fucked by Stefan and Damond. Trust me l'd rip their throat out if it wasn't for you, but ever since you've been chained to this cock"

He said with stern words.

"Klaus... I may be yours but that's by choice" I said slowly planting a kiss on his neck "I love you so much tho." I said smirking we both kissed slowly getting into a passionate makeout session.

"Does the thought of me and Stefan really get you riled up?"

"Love... I just don't need his... fluids in your mouth... leaves a rather interesting taste" he said making me blush completely.

"KLAUS-"

Émilie stared at her phone.

Haven't heard from you in a couple of months

But I'm out right now, and I'm all fucked up

She was at a bar in Monaco with her friends, having stepped over to their reserved table to get a drink when her phone started ringing.

Émilie took another sip of her drink and watched it ring.

She should have him blocked.

Like she'd done with all her other exes.

And I'm right here with all my friends

But he was also her best friend’s teammate.

She continued to stare at the phone even after he stopped calling, watching as a notification popped up.

"Everything alright Ém?" Danny asked, appearing beside her.

Émilie nodded and picked up her phone. "Yeah, just a text. I'll be back out on the floor soon."

Danny nodded and grinned at her before walking away.

She tapped on his text, watching as her phone unlocked with Face ID and opened her messages.

She'd deleted his messages right after their fight, too disgusted and angry with him to continue to see them on her phone.

But, God, when I look at you

She should have picked a worse photo for his profile picture. But then again, Émilie wasn't the smartest person on the grid.

The confessions and hurtful words they'd exchanged still hung between them, making the air awkward any time they were left alone.

Then of course there was the night Émilie was refusing to acknowledge.

She hadn't told Elena about that just yet, not quite ready to admit that lapse in judgment out loud.

But she had told her everything else about her and Lando's fallout.

"Who are you texting?" Elena asked, carrying two shots to the table.

"An ex." Émilie copied the address he'd sent her and put it into Uber, out of curiosity.

Seein' you tonight, it's a bad idea, right?

She took another sip of her drink, waiting for the app to load.

10 minutes wasn't bad. And the Uber could be at the bar in 5. Her thumb hovered over the confirmation button.

Fuck. That night still haunted her in her weaker, lonelier moments.

"Oh? Are we still pretending you don't like him?"

Émilie glanced up, rolling her eyes at her older sister's suggestive eyebrow wiggle.

"I only see him as a friend," the biggest lie I ever said

Oh, yes, I know that he's my ex, but can't two people reconnect?

"We've talked about this Lena." Emilie huffed in annoyance. "We're just friends, back to what we used to be."

Elena didn't look the least bit convinced but thankfully she didn't press further, instead holding up the shot. "Yeah, like y'all were ever just friends. Shots?"

Émilie nodded, setting her phone face down on the table, Uber temporarily ignored.

Both sisters took the shots and Émilie shook her head at the burn. Drinking Tequila wasn't a problem for Émilie having grown up with a Spanish half-sister, but shots of the alcohol always burned going down.

"I might go home early," Émilie said, raising her voice over the sudden roar of the room. Quickly she added, "I have to be in Switzerland tomorrow for little Emilie's birthday. Seb said he'd disown me if I wasn't there."

Elena nodded, "want Osc to take you home?"

Émilie shook her head and held up her phone, "I'm just gonna Uber."

Thankfully her inebriated sister took the lie at face value and gave Émilie a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"See you on Monday, chaton, okay?"

Émilie nodded and grabbed her purse before making her way outside to wait for Uber.

She looked at her phone and sent a message to Oscar (the only other person who knew about that night.) and asked him to distract Elena and keep her off her phone until she had to fly to Milton Keynes.

She watched his text bubble appear, disappear, and reappear several times before he sent a message.

Aussie buzzkill: Yeah I got you.

Aussie buzzkill: Don't do anything stupid, please.

She hearted his messages but didn't reply since her Uber showed up.

Now I'm gettin' in the car, wreckin' all my plans

I know I should stop-, but I can't

But mostly because she was about to do something stupid.

And I told my friends I was asleep

But I never said where or in whose sheets

The shot she'd done with Elena before leaving kept her mind pleasantly quiet, letting Émilie mindlessly browse Instagram on the short drive to his apartment building.

She thanked the driver and collected her purse from the seat beside her and walked into the lobby.

And I pull up to your place, on the second floor

And you're standin', smiling at the door

She buzzed his apartment and was unsurprisingly let in immediately.

She walked down the hall to the elevator and pressed the button, taking her up to his floor.

His place was only a few doors down, the door wide open with him leaning against the doorframe waiting for her. 

And I'm sure I've seen much hotter men

But I really can't remember when

Lando’s curly hair was mussed, a few stray curls hanging down against his forehead and the top two buttons of his black button down were open. 

He must have been out partying too, but 1 am was an awfully early time to call it quits.

He grinned at her, that stupid, smug grin that infuriated and made her warm in all the right places.

He had a glass of something alcoholic hanging loosely from his hand, which he lifted to his lips.

Émilie and Elena are half-sisters and racers on the grid, Émilie races for Redbull, and Elena raced for Mercedes from 2019 until she became Émilie's race Engineer in 2023. Émilie and Lando are the same age, but Emilie made her F1 debut in 2022. Émilie, Logan, and Oscar are best friends, having grown up karting together.

Sam : I hope you will be still human

Noah : ... What do you meant?

Sam : they didn't tell you? I was human before.. Well touching alien artifacts make me like this.

Noah : *Noah looks at optimus a more likely looks at his chassis . He slowly move away from optimus . And yeah he no want close physical with optimus*

Noah and Elena thought it would be consistent amongst the bot that they didn't understand or couldn't quiet match human speech patterns or organic humour.

a Bot calling himself "Sam" was surely just trying to be different, to all the other autobots. they though his name was a nickname or a chosen name change for some weird reason. However Sam strangely so unalien.

He made sarcastic comments even the other autobots seemed confused at. Mirage seemed to be judging how his humour landed with Noah, to which Sam was the only bot to react with something beyond disdain or trying to block them out. laughing or telling Mirage he was striking out, another hit and miss. Or would snicker before looking towards Bumblebee and to Noahs best guess, shit talked across their brain radio thing. That was what Mirages huff seemed to tell.

Sam's jokes or comments were also often something the Humans thought to say themselves. Elena would never tell anyone she tries testing saying things in her head to judge the bots reaction encase they COULD read minds.

But his odd behaviour was so painfully familiar to Noah when Bumblebee was taken down. Optimus may have been the loudest but horror was never more obvious on a robot then the face and silent scream Sam was wearing. And though Optimus was obviously frustrated and upset at the worser the situation was looking. Sam turned down right inhospitable. snapping mean barbs were all he would offer in place of bemused sarcasm. Sam seemed to start seething at mirage's friendliness to the humans. Noah recognised the feeling, of being in a combat zone and loosing someone you were just standing arm in arm with. trying to not snap at men acting as normal as they could when someone JUST DIED.

they didn't talk or think about it much till after the whole fiasco. Helping Mirage back to functional, living and working kinda taking up everything else then pondering only one of the many aliens.

it wasn't until they had been some weird autobot version or a bbq that Sam snuck up on them. ominously dropping how he "hope if you stick around you don't end up becoming a bot like I did" and having a devilish look as he added a " but that was only after years so maybe you just gotta stick around and see" and leaving the humans to think about the horrible implications of Sam.

I FINISHED CHAPTER 12! (Basically... PS says I have like 7% remaining and that is probably gonna be leaving the Gold Saucer again so... yeah)

Zack??? ZACK FAIR??? How dare you be the most beautiful gorgeous cute man ever. His sections always manage to have me tear up. The ending of this game is SO gonna hurt me my god.

My date was with Aerith... which i didn't mind but Cloti for the win you know. Aerith, girl, Zack is somewhere out there!

Didn't bother with any of the new minigames at the Saucer yet, since I wasn't a fan of a lot of them the first time around. Will probably only do it after finishing main story, since some of the exchangeable rewards are very nice.

Loveless was wonderful. Teared up seeing Jessie again. The song was so moving. The party acting as the main cast had me rolling tho. THE WAY YOU COULD CHOOSE BARRET AS YOUR TRUE LOVE? They're so unserious. The little game mechanics were a little confusing tho. I swear I don't have a left-right-weakness but this part had me questioning. Managed to get score A but still... wish there would havd been earlier triggers that told you what button to press... but maybe that's just me.

BUT THE COLOSSEUM HAD ME QUESTIONING EVERYTHING. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BASICALLY 6 ROUNDS OF FIGHTING BACK TO BACK AND THERES ONLY ONE OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE YOUR EQUIPMENT. The first two rounds were easy, when they brought put the Tonberry I was having war flashbacks to the boss fight in Corel. Didn't expect a round 4, but Aerirh and Phoenix came through for me <3

THE TURKS AGAIN THO??? Listen, I'm a proclaimed Turks lover okay. I love them. My pookies. BUT YOU'RE GONNA MAKE ME FIGHT THEM A THIRD TIME NOW?? Elena is always easier to handle, Rude kinda annoying still but we got through it. Wanted to take this opportunity to say how much I love Elena being such a hater. And her having the most bone chilling horror movie scream when you land a hit or pressure her. Queen.

BUT THEN RUFUS??? ALONE AS CLOUD??? I was gnawing at the bars of my enclosure bro. I hate blonde men. Had to restart several times to get his patterns down. Was very upset with my inability tp dodge, usually I play my fights pretty head-on offensive... I was shaking crying throwing up until I had Rufus down to like half his health. Kujata on Cloud really helped me idk. Darkstar was annoying, but got him down eventually after using Clouds Limit TWICE. Almost died when Rufus was only like 3% HP remaining. The way I was shaking when it was finally over... damn. Never wanna do that again but I had already heard that the Rufus fight was pretty annoying...

Cait's betrayal was nothing new to me, I did know about it. Still made me sad ofc. THE WAY YOU CAN'T PLAY WITH HIM AFTERWARDS? I'm heartbroken.

Now it's off to the Temple/The Promised Land. Very curious what the last 2 Chapters are gonna bring. Heard 13 was quite long, but I wanna try and play it all now without any more interruptions... gonna play side quests and minigames later. Maybe I'll even be able to finish this weekend, which would be nice. I'm on vacation next week and won't be home...

i think the idea of them not at all planning on having anymore kids (but both secretly kinda wanting one more, but not wanting to scare the other) but she gets pregnant with baby #3 unexpectedly and matty is absolutely ecstatic and telling her he can’t wait to do it again is really cute.

several of you have asked about lore so here goes. yeah, she's unplanned - dylan will be six and elena four when she's born, and although neither you or matty have actively said you don't want another kid, baby phoebe (!!) is definitely a surprise. you come off the pill for a bit, just because you've been on it for a while with no breaks, and you genuinely forget that while you and matty are on a little date night away to a gig; that would be fine, there are other ways to stop random pregnancies, but in the grand tradition of that universe matty is condomless, because he also forgot you weren't on the pill. so you fuck (good, and lots) that night, and in the haze of checking out on time and wanting to hurry back to your girls, the fact you have no pill to take completely slips your mind. six weeks later, the nausea hits - you're wfh in the afternoon after picking elena up from nursery, and you have to RUN to the bathroom to throw up. you put it down to eating something weird, but when matty comes home with dylan he's not convinced, given that you and him have been eating the same meals for days and he's been fine; he doesn't say anything, but he does start to wonder if you might be pregnant, and his suspicions are all but confirmed the next morning when you have to run and be sick again when you clock he's making scrambled eggs for the girls, an intolerance you had both times you were pregnant before. by that point, you have an inkling of what's going on as well, and when matty says "i'll get some tests after the girls are done with swimming lessons, yeah?" you nod and kiss his cheek. you take a couple of tests, and... yeah. baby number three is in progress lol. there's a quick discussion - quick, because it's easy - about what you both want to do, but as much as you weren't prepared for another kid neither of you are opposed at all; matty's so fucking excited when you tell him you've been thinking about it for a while, because "i actually love being a dad and getting to raise a family with you and i really wanted to do it all again but really it's all up to you and i didn't wanna freak you out by bringing it up. but it's cool! we're having a baby! god, i love you. love our girls. love the tiny little munchkin of undetermined gender in your stomach too. m'so happy we're doing this" lol bless him. he's always so hands-on anyway, but he really takes extra good care of you during this pregnancy, and gets the girls (SO excited to be big sisters) involved too. he cries when you find out you're having another girl ("i love our daughters oh my god. what if they start a band they could be like haim"), and cries even more when phoebe (your name choice. bridgers is so hyped when you tell her lol) is born with the same shock of curly hair as her sisters and him. lovely lovely lovely <3

"Dose anyone else know that your here" Elijah asks looking towards me curiously, I look back questionably

"Well then you have been incredibly helpful" Elijah says looking away from me towards the men ripping there hearts, he looks back towards me walking to me but Damon stands in front of me I look at him with surprise

"What do you want with her" Damon says getting ready for a fight, Elijah just smiles before speeding towards me grabbing me and rushing out before Damon can realize what happened

"What the hell?!" I say pushing him away from me, now outside on the woods somewhere

"Scarlett Jayne, vampire hunter" he says looking at me in the eyes

"Elijah mikealson, original vampire" I say back mockingly, he smiles

"Why would a vampire hunter be so close with Damon Salvatore?" He questions

"I'm not close with him" I say back confused as to why he cares anyway

"Hm...not what it looked like" he says looking up at the sky

"Who gives a shit anyway?!" I say getting tired of this game, he looks back down at me tilting his head to the side when all of a sudden he's in front of me, I jump back feeling a tree behind me, he just smirks closing the little space between us, I try to move back more but I'm trapped

"Stay away from Damon Salvatore" he states simply

"Excuse me?!" I look at him incredulously

"You heard me" he says seriously, his brown eyes staring deeply into mine

"You can't tell me what to do" I say getting a little nervous at the proximity to this dashing vampire, he just laughs lightly before grabbing me and zipping me back into the room with Damon and Elena and leaving quickly

"What the hell?! You ok?" Damon comes up to me confused and slightly concerned

Elena finished applying her lipstick. She ruffled her hair a bit and pulled her bangs with the tip of her fingers.

"Are you ready?" Bonnie whizzed in the hall, buttoning her coat up.

"Yep. All done" the doppelgänger said giving herself another look in the mirror.

"Caroline sent a tenth message" Bonnie said as she checked her phone.

"We're very late, I know, but I had to do those last changes in my book.

"It's only a pre-Christmas Eve party in the Grill. No big." the witch said as she sent the blonde vampire the message that they were on their way.

Meanwhile, in the Grill, the party was in full swing already.

The karaoke machine was plugged in and people were taking turns playing all different Christmas songs.

"What took you so long?" Caroline said as she got to Bonnie and Elena at the bar.

"I needed to make sure the magical boundary around the town was secured." Bonnie said and wave at Damon, who swooped in to whisk her away.

"He is here" Caroline whispered into Elena, whose eyes had already descended on Mason Lockwood.

"I don't really care." Elena mumbled and turned to Matt, who brought over a trey of rum shots. "Just one."

"Oh, come on - it's Christmas Eve. We party. I'll make sure you don't do anything stupid." Caroline said.

"Like last year - you mean." Elena remarked.

"Exactly." Caroline said and pulled her friend suddenly by the hand to follow her to the small makeshift podium.

"I can't sing." Elena protested.

"You'll be fine." Caroline said, who mimiced to her friend to do the song with her.

"I can't - sorry." Elena squirmed apologetically.

"Right." Caroline got on stage."This song - it's kinda about those dirty liars and cheats if this world- and just so you know - you can find that someone special"

Elena inhaled sharply in a very silent manner as the lyrics hit home. She glanced at Mason, whose eyes connected with her. He knew very well that the heartbreak he had caused her last Christmas.

"Hey," Stefan elbowed the doppelgänger gently as he aproached her, "I heard it on the grapevine you went to New Orleans to help Elijah"

"Yeah - no big. He needed a bit of my blood."

"Even as a vampire your blood is still a weapon." Stefan remarked.

"Let's talk about something more exciting? When are you going to propose to Valerie?"

"Tomorrow." Stefan said. "I've got all organized."

"I hope it's totally romantic"

"It is. I just hope she says yes."

"She will. And I'm so happy for you." Elena chimed warmly.

"I really hope you find love, too." Stefan ehxaled a little, evidently worried about the doppelgänger and all that had happened with Mason Lockwood.

"I think I have." Elena curled a little smile at her friend.

And she left the looking puzzled as she turned to the door.

At that very moment, Elena moved swiftly through the swaying crowd and passing by Mason, she opened her arms, wrapping them around Elijah Mikaelson.

"I missed you" she whispered dearly.

"Missed you, too" Elijah said. And though he was not someone to show public display of affection, this time he pulled her to him into a warm loving kiss.

"OMG!" Caroline couldn't hold her surprise seeing the Original and Elena dreamily lost in one another.

"Merry Christmas, everyone" the blonde vampire belted out before she passed the microphone to Vicky.

"Merry Christmas" Elijah muttered, still holding Elena in his arms.

"Merry Christmas," she smiled, "come on - let's get out of here"

Taking the Original by the hand, they slipped out of the Grill.

As she got in his Porsche, she texted Bonnie and Caroline that she'd see them in a few days. "Elijah and I need some time alone. Merry Christmas. xoxo ❤️"

Hospital AU/It's Not You, It's Me:

I'm thinking girl direction here, but it could go either way. Harry is a doula and Louis is a labor and delivery nurse, and the two of them meet during a particularly stressful birth where they end up working together to basically save the life of the gestational parent-- a queer, trans masculine person whose partner is unable to be there due to the birth happening a few weeks before the due date.

They end up running into one another a few times after that first meeting, and every time they do, they end up talking more and more, but it's always in the hospital and kinda rushed, and though Louis wants more, she feels like there's something Harry's not telling her. And then she sees Harry out somewhere with a man and a young child. She wants to brush it off, but then the kid calls them "Mommy and Daddy," and Louis starts to think she's built all this up in her head.

But then Harry asks her out. Louis makes excuses.

Harry takes a sip of her cafeteria coffee, wincing at the flavor as she sets it down. Louis watches her open three vanilla creamers and dump them in one by one, losing herself in the motion of Harry's long, delicate fingers until she shakes her head to clear herself out of her daze.

"I-- I don't think I can see you outside of here," Louis says in a single rushed breath, inhaling deeply when she finishes the sentence. She sighs, looking down at her own hands as she twists a paper straw wrapper into a curlicue.

"No? I'm not invisible outside the hospital. Promise," Harry teases, poking Louis in the arm. Louis chuckles, biting her lip before looking back into Harry's eyes.

"I'm sure of that," she says, slumping down so she's practically resting her chin on the table. This whole conversation is a spring coiling itself up in her belly and if she almost worries that if she doesn't push herself down she'll explode everywhere. "It's just, umm,"

"What's the matter, Louis?"

"It's just that I'm struggling to hold it all together as is," Louis says, pushing herself to sit up straight and face Harry with all she's got. "We had two nurses leave last week and Elena is actually on maternity leave starting tomorrow, and I just don't think I could juggle all that plus actually dating someone, you know?"

"Oh." Harry gulps her coffee this time, coughing as she sets her mug down. "Yeah, I get it. I--" she looks over Louis' head and stands, gathering her things. "I should go, actually, I didn't realize how late it is."

She's gone before Louis can confirm that everything's okay between them. It is though, Louis thinks. It has to be.

Anyway it's ok! Because it turns out that the man was Harry's ex-husband, and they're amicable co-parents of their daughter because Harry realized that while she loved her husband as a person, she's not as bi as she thought she was when they met. Or rather, she WAS bi at the time, and has since realized she's a panromantic homosexual who'd like to call herself a lesbian if she's picking labels.

Her initial hesitance to see Louis outside the hospital was mostly because she and her ex are very particular about who they introduce their daughter to, and Harry didn't trust herself not to just say fuck it and drag Louis back to her house for makeouts and sex if the opportunity arose.

That's exactly what happens, of course, once they figure it all out.

ok, so we have some small hints about teleportation acting weird rn???

like on the Elena stream, there was a problem with her taking damage, while using warp plates, and as I understood, today q!Forever got a strange massage while teleporting

so, we r also not allowed in the nether where u go by using teleports, but to get to the purgatory, the train went through the nether portal, also a lot of things that are used for teleportation, in some ways resemble nether portals (I am actually not sure, but like particles and sounds and colours and stuff??)

and in vanilla minecraft using 2 nether portals is like the fastest way to travel, so....

what if all the teleportation is kinda like going through 2 nether portals, but so quick, u don't even notice it

and it's not something exclusively wrong with teleportation mechanics, but the nether itself???

I saw someone theorise that the massage on Forever's stream was from the Evil Cucurucho, and they are kinda connected to nether, with them "playing" with q!Forever there, their office being mostly out of nether materials (as I remember), and q!Quackity's "aferlife" (or whatever) streams starting in there

also they do be appearing out of thin air, as I recall

maybe if Oscurucho controls the nether or something, they also have the ability to control the teleportation??? or like in the moment learning how to????? or getting stronger to now be able to?????????

A chirrup, a scrabble of claws, and a small clear bell sang in time with Freya's soft trot along the corridor. She stopped in the doorway, then barrelled into his open arms, ringing with every bound. Reeve laughed as she nuzzled into his shoulder, pressed her lithe body against him until the gentle rumble of her purr reverberated in his own chest. “You're so big now,” he whispered, kissing silky fur and scratching her ears. “How'd you get so big, when I wasn't looking?”

Celes nodded, reaching down past the sodden patches daubed on her legs for her boots. “We could head for my chambers, if you wish. They're closer and more out of the way. We'll find you something more presentable to put on.” And I could have you screaming the night away with no-one the wiser. You'll see what I can do with a bed under us, she didn't say. Not with Terra still pale and shaken and blinking away tears. Celes would only clothe her, hold her, let her fall asleep on her shoulder or read to her until guilt, that most unwelcome of intruders, left the way it came in the night.

Finally decided to do a TVD rewatch now that the 'verse is complete. Since I know how everything ends I thought it would be interesting to see how I react with that knowledge. Curious if my feelings might change about characters, ships, storylines etc. (obviously I am fully aware there's going some bias).

Adding my thoughts after I complete the half-way mark of each season (there is simply too many episodes to do a recap of each one). I am talking to the void mostly here but feel free to leave comments, thoughts on my posts for those who still follow me or just find this post. However, I am not here to argue, I simply DO NOT CARE whatever you think is right totally, please leave me alone.

S1 Episodes 1-11

I am loving the dark atmosphere of the first season, feeling so much nostalgia! Nice to go back in time to when vampires were scary on this show. That's not really criticism because every supernatural show goes through this. The big bad must always be upped as it goes on but it was nice when the stakes were lower and the mythos was being developed.

Damon makes me feel so uncomfortable so far... I know he was the 'villian' for most of the beginning of the season but his treatment of Vicki and Caroline is just so predatory and gross. Which brings me to...

WHY HAS NO ONE GIVEN CAROLINE A GOD DAMN VERVAIN NECKLACE ALREADY!!! Stefan and Elena both know Damon was using her (and they know damn well he hasn't stopped). Her Mom has the vervain to give her and just has not for no reason!! GET AWAY FROM HER ALREADY! I got so mad when Damon was compelling her AGAIN in the 10th episode. I'm so glad she outlives them all, justice for my baby!

I'm sorry but Stefan is so creepy and self-righteous in the beginning, I remembered this but did not remember how bad it was. Also he did not need to kill Vicki, that pissed me off. I don't think it did as much when I first watch this (mind you that was literally 14+ years ago) but just knowing how freely everyone neck-snaps around here it was bullshit. His one cool moment remains when he told Logan he can't walk in the sun. The manipulative way he used Elena’s adoption to get her to forgive him had me rolling my eyes (then of course she used it against Jenna to get out of trouble lol).

I can't remember who the other vampire is who turned Logan, I'm thinking its Pearl's henchman but yeah I don't remember that part. I also didn't remember the crystal so I like that some of this is like a 'mystery' again.

I did remember that I thought Tyler was such a dick in the first season and yeah confirmed. Though now I remembered his Dad was an abusive piece of shit. Still, fuck Tyler for now.

Alaric looks so different I don't hate him (yet).

The progression of Bonnie realizing her powers has been well done, again nice to just see the simple magic again. (Stefan totally wanted to bang Sheila back in the day... maybe they did)

Jeremy just met Anna and I still love them, I wish they got more time. They were the only 'ship I like in this season when it first aired.

The Bonnie, Elena and Caroline friendship is nice but I am annoyed they haven't done more to protect Caro from Damon. Especially when she doesn't know what's going on and they do (though Bonnie only just got all the deets). This might be magnified by my love of Caroline I admit but I hate the prop-y way she's being used so far.

I kinda rolled my eyes at the whole Katherine/Damon/Stefan stuff before Elena knew they were vamps because OMG Stefan is 17(!!!) Does no one thinks it's weird he's like "it was a long time ago" A LONG TIME AGO LIKE WHEN YOU WERE 12?! They should have made him at least 20, just bothers me.

I liked that not every vampire had a daylight ring and it was more of a novelty. That is something that could have stuck more in the later seasons.

Lines that made me laugh:

Caroline: Yeah, Elena wasn't so lucky today. It's only because you missed summer camp. God, I don't know how you're ever going to learn the routines. (Bonnie offers to help her) I guess we can put her in the back. (all right in front of Elena lmao oh Caroline never change)

Caroline: So, Elena...how long do you think this fight with Stefan's gonna last? Is it...like a permanent thing? (eyes on the prize baby! lol)

Stefan: (imitating Damon) Now that the secret society of vampire haters is off our back, I can go back to my routine of how can I destroy Stefan’s life this week. (never gets old!)

Damon: *shoots Logan with wooden bullets* Payback's a bitch, isn't it? (all in the delivery here lmao kudos to Ian)
