but running your thumb back and forth under her eye can only hold you for sooo long. you! must! kiss! her! face! and you do and she laughs and you keep kissing her face until she decides to catch your lips with hers in passing. you’re both smiling into it so it’s more trying not to accidentally knock your teeth together or trying not to snort and bonk heads than lips kissing. cupping the back of your head, she keeps you anchored to her lips. the smiles fade and you’re trying to shove all your love for her into her through this kiss and you can feel her doing the same.

you’re the only person who ever sees gojo with his mask off. 

when he walks through the front door, you notice the happy go lucky expression on his face fall immediately as the muscles finally relax, like the effort to keep them in place is exhausting on its own. the corner of his mouth perks up in the smallest grin, and relief washes over him when he makes eye contact you. he immediately swoops in for the biggest, warmest hug and his fatigued voice drops an octave as he mumbles a hello into your shoulder. he’ll snuggle up right next to you when you’re in bed, nuzzling his nose into the crook of your neck with his arms entangled around your waist as he lays his head softly on your chest. he closes his eyes and relaxes against your touch when you play with his hair, gently breathing as he gradually drifts off into sleep.

Was compelled to give my MC Maya Pallard some color after I posted my middle-of-work sketches:

Still working on her Step 2 design. Girlie is talkative but very much a go-with-the-flow type. Unless that flow makes any of her friends uncomfortable then it’s fight time. She moved to Golden Grove from a city in the mid-west (haven’t decided yet) but she has that heavy mid-west accent. It eventually goes away as she grows up but in Step 1 you can definitely hear it. She’s got a sharp tongue for a ten year old but that’s something she picked up from her older cousins. Her hair just does what it wants (much to her mom’s chagrin).

Another failed hunt. The thought ran through the old soldier's mind as he stumbled back into the police station. His own body littered in dirt, wood chips and bruises. His shoulders bled as glass shards stuck out in painful jagged shapes. Once again, he had been beaten by his prey; four little survivors, prepped to the nines with everything the Entity could allow....

Leon tripped on the edge of the steps and hit the floor hard, driving the shards deeper into his back, causing him to cry out in pain. It took Leon what felt like forever just to sit up, shaking from shock. He reaches to remove a shard when his hand is impaled by his tail, followed by the Plaga legs tearing through his shirt and flesh.

A blood-curdling scream echos through the halls of RPD as the Plaga turns on Leon, a punishment dealt out by the Entity. His bones snap and crack as the Plaga legs stab at his body, his mouth ripping wide open as his eyes lose all color and become dead white orbs.

The Plaga finally stops its assault on its host, the Entity satisfied with the results, leaving Leon's broken body on the cold floor of the station....
