a/n: idk why but this song honestly screams charles to me whenever i hear it, so i just had to make it happen. also this was supposed to be posted on my one year f1-aversary as celebration (well technically it should be more if counting my childhood f1 years but anyway), but i was so caught up in another wip that i couldn't do it. so happy anniversary to me and f1 (two weeks late) with this lil ficlet <3 thankful for all that f1 gave me.

Charles spends a whole afternoon trying to convince her to have a night out with her friends. Just because they're in a relationship doesn't mean they can't have fun without the other as well from time to time. There are still a couple of weeks left of winter break, plenty of opportunity to spend time just the two of them before the season starts again. So the usual point of view, the usual reasoning doesn't stand a chance – that they should spend as much time together as they can, before he's back to travelling all around the world.

"Go to a club, grab some drinks, dance and laugh the night away", he tells her. The usual bestie coffee dates or walks in the park that she usually raises as argument are not the same as a night out, and she hasn't done that for so long now. Definitely not since he's been back home, and he knows just how much she enjoys dancing her heart out.

(y/n) agrees after a short while, accepting his reasons, knowing full well that he's right, and after a few phone calls she starts getting ready, soon walking out the front door, dressed all pretty and dolled up.

Doesn't take long before Charles realises what he's done. A feeling tingles in his chest, one he recognises swiftly. He's miserable. Solely because she's not there by his side, as he makes dinner, eats it – all by himself –, before settling on the couch to occupy himself with a movie. It doesn't matter though, he doesn't pay any attention to it. He doesn't even know what's going on, he hasn't heard a single line, too busy thinking about her.

When the credits start to roll, he switches the TV off with a surprised look in his eyes – how did it already end? He doesn't even remember the first scene ending. Then he moves into the bathroom to do his night routine, from taking a shower to putting on some skincare products, all the while wondering how long she will be out for? Will she come home soon? Hope tingles in his chest that the answer to his question is yes.

Having finished with everything, Charles lies down in bed, trying to read a book, then scrolling on social media, doing anything to keep his mind from straying over and over again back to her. He knows this is stupid, he was the one telling her to go out, why is he like this now? Lying awake on his side of the bed, the fingers on his right hand tracing figures onto the sheet where her body usually rests.

This is pathetic, Charles thinks. He never thought he would be like this, so miserable and impatient just because she's not at home, with him. He's tossing around, unable to find a comfortable position for himself – it seems like he forgot how to sleep without her. No matter how many times he's had to do just that, in hotel rooms all around the world. The past few weeks erased all those nights from his mind.

The delicious scent of her shampoo fills his lungs when his face lands just a bit too close to her pillow, and all of a sudden it's like he's burying his nose in her hair. It only makes him miss her more. Sleeping is impossible, he knows it now. He's only daydreaming, not actually dreaming, of her arriving home and being in his arms again.

Charles imagines the way she dances in the middle of the floor, her hands in the air, shouting the lyrics loudly to the song currently playing – most probably something she knows and loves –, and he can't help but smile fondly. Just the thought of her having fun is enough to make him happier, even in his misery.

He pictures a scene where a random guy tries to get too close to her, as it has happened so many times, whenever he leaves her alone for a few minutes at any club they've been to. It doesn't matter where they are, doesn't matter if they spent the night so far together, all over each other, someone comes into the picture immediately when he leaves, either to grab a drink for the two of them, or to go to the restrooms.

It's not like he doesn't understand those guys. She's simply gorgeous, and radiates such a vibrant aura that everyone is drawn to her. He honestly just finds it funny at this point. Nothing makes these men back off more effectively than her. Oh, the amount of times he bit back laughter watching the scene unfold from a distance. Seeing men crumble and disappear looking all ashamed, what a sight that is. And he doesn't have to do anything.

He wonders how many times she's had to fight off guys so far tonight, with him not even in the club, and he finds he can't wait to hear all her stories of the newest victims. Pierre never understood why Charles found it so amusing, he didn't seem to get it. The trust they have in each other. Knowing that it's him she'll come home to at the end of the night is enough to make him only feel entertained by each instance, and not irritated at the slightest bit.

But thinking about (y/n) fighting off men is only good enough entertainment for a limited amount of time, and soon the smile fades back into a miserable pout on his lips, as his thoughts turn back into ones of impatience, trying to make time move faster with short little prayers falling as mumbles from his lips.

With a sigh, he eventually sits up, looking around to find something he can do. At last he decides on grabbing a drink himself, maybe it will help stop the flow of thoughts racing in his head. A little welcomed dullness.

He takes a seat at the kitchen table, sipping on the liquid in his glass, enjoying the feeling of the light alcohol gently burning his throat on the way down, numbing his tongue along the way. His fingers stay restless, now drumming on the wooden surface. A few minutes later he realises they play a song, soundless except the soft thud of his fingertips with the occasional louder tap or little scratch of his nails when a finger finds a different angle to hit the table with.

A melody appears in his mind as he watches his fingers move, imagining how it would sound if it was his piano instead of the kitchen table. He would go sit at the beautiful, white instrument and try it, but he doesn't want to be so loud at such a late hour. And anyway, he's way too comfortable sitting where he is to stand up and go somewhere else.

He looks out the window, catching sight of the moon – almost full, just a tiny bit of it missing, and Charles examines the craters that are visible to the naked eye, though only as spots of a darker shade on the round shape.

Maybe he'll name this new musical piece that's being born in his head right now after her – well, if he ever finishes it. He'll keep the usual format, three letters of a city name and a date, only this time putting the time and place of when they first met. Or should it be the time and place of when he first asked her out? Or their first date? Or when she agreed to move in with him? God, there are way too many options to choose from. He decides to put this problem aside for now, he's not in a rush to name a song not even written yet.

As the clock on the oven changes all four numbers to display 2am, the action rouses his attention and makes him tear his eyes away from the moon and look at the numbers instead.

He would've never ever thought that he'd be like this.

Raising his glass he notices that there's only a small sip left in it, which he downs in a short moment. His tongue darts out to gather all the minuscule drops that might rest on his lips still, not wanting to waste even that much of the delicious drink. Then he stands up, placing the glass down into the sink, making a mental note to clean it in the morning before (y/n) wakes up.

Just as he ponders putting another movie on, maybe only as background noise if nothing else, his phone buzzes in the pocket of his pants. Taking his time, Charles pulls the device out, expecting nothing more than a useless notification from a social media app he shouldn't spend so much time on anyway.

Instead what he finds is a text. From her.

Charles lets out a relieved sigh, his lips involuntarily curving into a smile, one that you could almost call giddy. It's not just the thought that she's going to be here soon, but the fact that she remembered to text him to let him know. He's in her mind, just like she's in his, even though she's been out with friends, having fun, drinking, while he's only been at home, all alone with his misery.

Now he can move back to bed happily, knowing that shortly she will join him.

It truly doesn't take long until Charles hears the front door creak as it opens, then the familiar jingle of her keys hitting the drawer in the hall, and his heart flutters with happiness. Finally. The high heels she chose to wear hit the floor with a soft thud as she presumably removes them, and the growing anticipation in his body seems to eat him whole.

Her steps grow louder and louder as she moves closer to the bedroom, and time slows for Charles. He watches in slow motion as she appears in the doorframe, being propped up on his elbows to have a better view, a lazy smile curling onto his face, and his eyes lidded with drowsiness.

"You're still awake?" (y/n) giggles, pausing in her steps for a second as her eyes take in the view he provides lying there. His lack of reply to her text made her think he's already fallen asleep.

"Of course," he mumbles. "Come to bed."

His voice is whiny and he behaves like an actual child, he knows, but he can't help it. He wants to sleep, and he wants to sleep beside her, feeling her warmth against his skin. That's the only way he can.

"Let me get changed first," she starts towards the closet, when a grunt of pure displeasure sounds from him along with the thump of his back as he falls into a lying position once more, making her glance back at her boyfriend. "What, can't wait a single minute?"

"No," he protests, pouting . "I've been waiting for hours."

His accent comes forth stronger when he's sleepy, and she can't help but smile adoringly upon hearing it. He's just so cute.

"Okay, fine, you'll get one kiss," she gives in. Charles resembles a lost puppy and she's sure he knows that's her weakness. She can't ever say no to anything when he looks like that.

So that's how she finds herself crawling into bed, trying to get as close as possible to the boy without causing damage to her dress. He grins, as much as his tired facial muscles allow, awaiting her lips touching his own. His pout becomes even more apparent, right until the moment he finally gets what he wants. His goodnight kiss. It's soft, slow and just so full of love it makes both their hearts flutter.

Then she caresses his cheek gently, whispering a barely audible good night, sleep tight to him, before moving back off the bed to disappear in the closet, leaving Charles to think about how he'd happily convince her again of going out if it means she'll come home to him, looking so radiant, properly buzzing with energy, eyes shining, hair messy but still looking so breathtaking. It's obvious how much it meant to her that she had this night out. He made her happy with telling her to go out with her friends, and he didn't regret it, despite all the miserable hours.

By the time she finishes her night routine and walks back into the bedroom once more, he's fast asleep, quiet snores filling the silence of the room. She bites into her bottom lip to keep in the giggle threatening to burst out, and with a heart full of adoration and a head slightly dizzy from the drinks she's had, she gets in bed beside him, snuggling up close to him, revelling in the feeling of his arms instinctively finding their way around her body even when he's sleeping.

He truly only waited for her to come home and give him a goodnight kiss to finally be able to fall asleep.

• having first met you he would notice how quiet and chill you are, trying to get you to crack on many different occasions (failing miserably everytime). he never really cared too much about you. however once you started to spend more time with him and you found yourself at his house quite often, you developed an unexpected sibling bond with him

• he would definitely take advantage of your silence whenever he asks for a favour, immediately roping you into any and all of his problems. (kind of like butters— however he doesn’t screw you over as much)

• the teasing is the worst part. he knows exactly what ticks you off and how to break your silent facade

When you first heard about him, the mere thought of the things he was capable of doing sounded repulsive to you. He hadn't even walked into Briarcliff, yet everyone already despised him. Most of the people in that hellhole weren't pure or without sin, although they judged like they were the divine Lord himself. You had to admit, it was horribly wrong and fucked up to kill 3 women, including your wife, decapitating them and using their skin as a mask. You even knew that the devil could be hiding under the most beautiful facade, but still, something inside of you when you first saw him, told you that Kit Walker couldn't have possibly been the tremendous Bloody Face. Maybe it was Briarcliff that with its influence was able to turn sane people completely mad, but you swore that when Kit Walker's eyes met yours for the first time, the world's colors lit up and a lovely R&B melody started ringing in your ears.

Time had passed in the asylum, and surprisingly, you didn’t feel so miserable anymore. He made everything fall back into place. When you two shared your stories, it was clear that you were both victims of a giant mistake, your pasts being more pure than the ones of the people who locked you two there. You and Kit kept spending more and more time together, you had grown to be inseparable, always together. You felt suffocated when he wasn’t around, only the blues playing in your ears. Who knew you could find love inside such a cruel building?

It almost felt like life in Briarcliff could be normal, thanks to him. But, of course, that was only imaginary.

You sneaked in his cell, again. Your cheeks burning, not out of embarrassment this time, but because of the salty tears that kept rolling on them. His generosity was both a blessing and a flaw, something that you loved and despised, because it led to dishonesties like these. When you both tried to escape and got caught, he took all the blame on himself, gaining 40 lashes.

You hurried towards his bed, sinking onto your knees and breaking down into sobs.

“I-I’m so sorry!” You kept repeating, your voice cracking.

He smiled softly and caressed your hair.

“Ya got nothin’ to apologize for, suga’. It wasn’t yer fault.” He grunted as he sat up, his body still hurting. He reached to cup your face, and aligned his eyes with yours, so that he could look into them with his lovely gaze.

“Hey now…don’t cry, darlin’. I’m here, we’ll get through this togetha’, yes?” He spoke sweetly. Your arms weakly wrapped around his neck.

“I-I can’t do this anymore, Kit…I hate this place-” You cried.

“Shhh…” He wiped your tears away with his thumb and pecked your nose gently.

“I know, I know it’s hard and ya wanna leave…and I promise we will. We’re gonna leave this shithole soon…then we’ll be finally free.” His words melted your heart.

“...Will we live together?” You looked up at him with teary eyes.

“Yea, of course we will, darlin’.” He smiled.

“Like a normal couple?” Your words seeked his comfort.

“Yes, suga’. We will be a normal couple with a normal life. Whaddaya say?” He asked, to which you nodded.

“You know I’m gonna marry ya as soon as we get out of here, suga’?” His words made a faint blush rise on your face.

“Really?” You batted your lashes at him.

“Yea. I wanna marry ya. I wanna have babies with ya. I wanna do everything with ya by my side. And ya wanna know why? Because I love ya, darlin’.” He wrapped his strong arms around you, while connecting your lips in a soft gentle kiss. You kissed back, mumbling a quiet “Love you too” against his lips that moved in sync with yours.

So you stayed there, his comforting and strong arms wrapped around you and his hand running in your hair as your bodies were pressed up in a tight intimate embrace. Your eyelids started to feel heavy, as you fighted the urge to fall asleep.

“It’s only me and ya, togetha’.” He whispered soothingly in your ear.

“Foreva’.” He added, his lips pressing against your temple sweetly.

You smiled tiredly, as you heard his words and the soft melody playing again.

anyway so seasons 1-early 3 mickey is a pessimist with a dash of nihilist (miserable), and because of that ian looks like an optimist verging on idealist to him.

the fact of the matter is that ian is not an optimist and he certainly is not an idealist. he's a little naive, sure, but less than what would be appropriate for his age. he's also not a pessimist or a nihilist (either kind). or a realist or a pragmatist or any of those.

no, ian is quite simply. unfathomably stubborn. and that is all.

he'll get into west point. he's absolutely certain of this. why? because he fucking said so.

he'll have a real relationship with mickey. they are in love and they are going to be together. this is true. how does he know? because. he. fucking. said so.

he doesn't have hope. he doesn't want things. that's pussy shit. there are precisely three types of things in this world: things ian isn't interested in, things ian already has, and things ian will have. that is simply that!

(which is obviously its own very specific mindset and is at least as extreme as pure optimism and pure pessimism, and is almost certainly just another fun little factor when the force of his will alone is not enough to change the reality of an ongoing traumatic event that contributes to the somewhat early onset of his bipolar disorder. but that's tangential.)

now. once again, disclaimer, these characters cease to exist past early season 5 for me, so there's every chance this next bit is exclusive to MY mickey and ian. there's just no way to know ❤️

that said. ian matures into a nihilist (carefree) - and i would say he's here-ish already in season 4, but in a maladaptive way at that stage - and then eventually matures further into a nihilistic (carefree)-leaning pragmatist.

mickey on the other hand - after a period of having no particular mindset of this type of thing at all which in effect amounts to a months-to-a-year long panic attack where his every action is fueled by emotional desperation and he has no solid concept of his own wants, needs, values, or future beyond the ever-present but totally incoherent certainty that he can't live without ian but ian can and will leave him with ease for even the slightest infraction or failure that terrorizes him like a weasel terrorizes a hen in his every waking moment - um. what was i saying.

oh right. mickey on the other hand, after All That, matures first into a sort of quiet idealism (kind of a pendulum swing maybe, but not quite not also progress, iygiygi), and then. into a less naive version of the old ian's way lmao.

there is no "that's how things are/go" or "that's how the world works" or "life is/isn't fair" or any fundamental human nature or any purpose or lack thereof to life or possible and impossible or likely and unlikely or anything else along any of those lines. there are only two types of things in the world: things that don't matter and mickey's next achievement. and that's that, baby!

and then eventually, mick finishes out at a relatively stable and sustainable realist-leaning optimism, heavily informed by romanticism of the Certain Things Are Meant To Be kind. like, he wouldn't necessarily express that or think of it in those terms. and he doesn't think it's a common thing, in fact it's rare and special and he's very lucky, and even if something is like that it still doesn't mean you don't have to put the work in for it to go well and end up Right. and he doesn't believe in a higher power or in Fate quite as such or in the will of the universe or a cosmic balance or anything like that really.

it's just, you know. sometimes. every now and then. there's just this one little thing that will continuously keep trying to happen without any heed to sense or logic or the incredible odds against it. just something in particular that will forever and always find a way to happen.

like say. for example. there's this gay kid, right? and he gets in this fight and he wins and he's about to bring down a tire iron and ruin this other idiot's pretty face and - for no discernible reason whatsoever - he just... doesn't. and maybe he'll think about it half a dozen years later and wonder why. that one tiny little thing that changed his whole fucking life, why did he do that? what was the reason? and there just. isn't one.

and that's not even all. see, these two dumbasses have no idea the other one is gay too, but some-fucking-how they don't have to say a word or even make any opening moves to just Know they want each other. it's like they read each other's fucking minds, even though he knows, he remembers, he didn't sense anything from ian. but for Some Fucking Reason he just never for a second considered ian wouldn't want him, and ian was in perfect time with him. and maybe he'll think back and try to find an explanation for this part too. was there some body language he read? was there some look in ian's eyes? but the answer is no every time.

and then after that, these two gay kids just can't be kept apart. they just can't. and it's not just that they inexplicably can't resist each other either. every time they're separated they find each other again, no matter what. even when they're the ones to separate themselves, situation after coincidence after happenstance after necessity keeps putting them in each other's orbits. secrecy and jealous exes and gun violence and imprisonment and infidelity and a fucking pathological fear of intimacy and conversion therapy and genuine threat to their lives and marriage to someone else and permanent life-altering illness can't break them up. at least not for long.

and then. somehow. SOME fucking how! after all that, and with the absolutely shit chances that they ever even hooked up in the first place, they actually fucking make it? they don't just get to be together, they get to be happy??

so no, he doesn't believe in god or destiny or soulmates or whatever the fuck. but at the same time, i mean. what other explanation is there?

The "Feeling free" convo was my favourite part of the trailer. Honestly so far it looks like the show is exactly what I expected. Them bringing cameras, and som staff ofc, on semi spontaneous trips where they could just enjoy fun activities and each other's company before enlistment. A little escape in between their busy schedules. And they look so happy😭 That's the best part. All we could ever ask for is to see them this happy <3 Of course it's not a private trip, because they did choose to share this with us and make it into a show, it's two birds one stone. But anyone calling it just a work trip is so far off. You can tell how much this meant to them personally, and how excited they are about sharing footage with army. I might be going into delulu territory here but... I also kinda think them being so excited to gift this to us is partly because they feel very loved and validated when fans are supportive and excited over seeing them together and appreciating their special bond. I'm sure no matter how they define their relationship is it's nice to see. I don't know how much they see of fans reactions to stuff, especially not now while serving, but in the past too, it honestly seems like they love their jikook loving fans a lot. I hope they see all the love and as little negativity as possible.

I agree with everything you said but I wanna take it a step further...it was a 'work' trip in that they knew this was going to be streamed on one of the biggest entertainment streaming platforms owned by one of the biggest companies on earth (disney). but their work is not the same as an office job or a retail job, they are artists and sharing their life, emotions, experiences through their art in multiple mediums is what they do. for example GCF in Tokyo was technically 'work' because jk ended up posting the video on a 'work' platform but clearly they were not doing what anyone considers as work in Japan. I think their trips for are you sure are similar in nature, just with the added factor of them knowing that it will go on disney+.

what I think we don't talk about enough is the context around these trips and 2023. jikook were not seeing each other as much as they're used to, that much is for sure. prior to 2023 they not only worked together but spent loads of time together outside of work which was their choice. then chapter 2 begun and jimin was working on his solo album(s) which meant that jikook were not spending the same amount of time together. take romance out of the equation and even then not seeing your best friend you're using to seeing everyday for 10 years must have been hard, especially as they don't exactly have a 'normal' life so I would argue as friends they are closer than usually friends are. we also have to take into account that while working on their solo material, they were working with many people, many new people as well, and jungkook was basically surrounded by people who were not korean and that must have been tough. like if you go spend a day in another country where you have to interact with people in another language for a whole day that's exhaustingggg af. that's why I'm glad they could do their trips between actual work. it must have been a big relief that they can spend time together again and do fun stuff which they wanted to before enlisting anyway.

I think they appreciate their bond being appreciated by us for sure. I have a (semi) delulu theory that when jimin used to post jungkook photos on twitter all the time it was because it bothered him when people would say that they're not close. when jungkook talked about doing something that we will really look forward to which we now know was their travel show, I think he meant it 100%. he only considers fans to be people who enjoy seeing jikook together and who support the content they make together.

2023 to me was very much about bts doing what they themselves want to do more than what the company wants them to do and I think it has to do with them signing new contracts, getting more say in what goes on within the company etc. in the soop friendcation is a good example. from a business point of view, was that a good move? I would argue not. tae filming with his friends who have nothing to do with bts is arguably not the greatest money-generator idea (I assume the wooga squad got paid too). it was clearly something tae wanted to do himself that the company agreed to. and that's what's funny because he could've done it with jk if he wanted (same as taekook could've enlisted together if they wanted to) and the company would've been all over that idea because of $$$ in their eyes. I always said it makes no sense that the company doesn't capitalise on jikook's chemistry and how they can work together so well and they love to do it as well. I still don't know why they didn't but it's probably to do with the aversion towards subunits within bts that comes from somewhere ??? but in 2023, when they were all doing what they wanted, we got jungkook going on lives being more himself than ever before, asking for jimin, reacting to jimin content, mentioning jimin and chatting with him when jimin was in chat, all of that, and then we got jikook travelling to 3 different places to film basically their holidays together. and yes taekook hung out too but that's not a big shock to anyone honestly. I think the private discussion is funny because it's so naive of people to think that jikook never saw each other in 2023. they most likely did but that was in private😂so obviously we don't know about it😭

when certain fandom actors call are you sure a work trip they do it because they want the underlying assumption that work means not genuine to come across and it's funny cause they want to act like because it was being filmed it wasn't something jikook did because they wanted to, when it was. they were having fun ffs not sitting in the same office writing emails all day long. they genuinely wanted to spend time together and they did.

the problem for these people is that the travel show is not a taekook show, let's be really bloody honest here. any shippers, not just taekook, would DIE to have a show like this from their ship, just like how they'd die to have their ship enlist together. jikook do stuff I've not seen any other 'ship' do and that's why people are so mad. as usual they want for their ship what jikook have together.

I'm not saying are you sure is going to be making some kinda statement because I doubt that but just the fact that they wanted to do this together says a lot. btw I'm half expecting for them to start on the 'they wouldn't have done this travel show and let their holidays be filmed if they were dating' agenda just like how they're now saying that couples don't enlist together even though they were wishing for years that taekook will enlist together lol

Webtoon: After School Lessons for Unripe Apples (ch 1 to 126)

Why do I do this to myself? To try chasing my Lovely Runner blues away, now I'm hooked to korean webtoon ASLFUA 😭! Which is exponentially worse because 1. it's still ongoing, 2. not 100% assured the OTP will end up together (Soonki pls pinky promise me). Well, at least it has free official eng translations (big plus)!

Got curious because I saw the fanart. It's not an art style I usually go for, but the author is Soonkki. Cheese in the trap was a kdrama I was intrigued of from the start (Jung!), but didn't get to finish because of the negative reviews, but I'll check out the webtoon soon which is finished yay!

Lovely Runner made me miss coming of age, youth romance stories, so this one really fits the bill. Cheol is a very tall big built male lead, while Mi-ae is a small pea, which reminded me a lot of the Sun Jae-Sol dynamic. But that's where most of the similarities end. This is about Mi-ae's school life adventures, trying her hardest to be friends with the new scary deskmate (who of course is a softie inside), trying his darnest to be inconspicuous at school, and failing miserably at ignoring her lol.

A very very slow burn, slice of life kind of feel at the start, a lot of studying involved, but once it gets going, I finished 3 years worth of content in a daze in 2 days! I'm kind of weak for the energizer bunny girl chasing after the grumpy broody guy trope, so this is right up my alley.

Mi-ae is just a ball of positivity. She can be sad of stuff, but not for long. Cheol who only wants to be on the down low, and wants nothing to do with such a quirky chaotic girl, but of course he can't help himself. He's just so protective of those he perceived to be picked upon. Seeing closed up Cheol gradually opening up because of Mi-ae's exuberance is a joy to watch.

Following Cheol and Mi-ae growing up together, traversing school, friendship, and sorting out their inexplicable confusing feelings (squeeee). The whole series is such a happy pill! Can't wait to see more after school group hijinks, and the growth of all the characters and their relationships.

Note: there is some triggering content like school corporal punishment, bullying, but nothing too detailed on page.

My fave story arcs so far:

- Relentless Mi-ae asking frenemy Honggyu for soccer lessons because of Cheol, and clueless protective Cheol getting frustrated where Mi-ae keeps running off with scrapes all over. This is the arc where Cheol finally got worn down and accepted her millionth time offer of friendship lol.

- Jinseop's hilarious haircut scene! Enough said.

- Jinseop, who you'll first think as the love triangle or bully, suddenly becomes Cheol's and Mi-ae's love cupid to propel these two clueless lovebirds along.

- Cheol going absolutely bonkers about that accidental kiss. Priceless.

- Honggyu and Mi-ae's whole chaotic birthday arc where the gang helped Honggyu escape bullies. Starts with Cheol's jealousy antics, showing up suddenly on Jinseop and Mi-ae's impromptu date, and ended the adventurous day with crumbs of Cheol-Mae sweetness.

Can't wait for more...the mystery of Jisu (the real love triangle?), and Cheol's past/scar! Oh no it doesn't really bode well for me to get invested as CITT completed in 7 yrs. No thanks Soonkki, for the torture of ending the eng webtoon so far in a kiss-hanger. It's like a treat and torture at the same time.

So I watched the rest of the season and I confirm my episode 1's thoughts: the story is on the nose!

Even in season 2, I found the Christmas dinner unnecessary: we know already that the berzotti are fucked up and the mother is a nightmare. We don't need to see her driving into her home. Also I am tired of seeing abusive mothers on tv behaving so loudly while the fathers can be all icyly and cool. Maybe it's bc the dinner scene recalls me hundreds of dinners my own mother prepared and she has always been awful while she is cooking, but she has always been collected about it, bc the show must go on and guests are at a distance of a wall.

This kind of situation repeated itself in season 3: the episode 8 was just a 40 minutes long therapy session. People don't talk like that and wow I am glad Donna worked on herself and was there for Sugar but it's a sterotype, it gives "when you will be a mother you will know", "mother and daughter bonding bc daughter is pregnant so she is an adult now".

Re using parts of past episodes cannot used for every goddamn episode, bc it becomes stale. We know from the beginning Carmy worked in a bad environment, we don't need to see it again with the same scene. Show me something else.

Also I don't care if Carmy and Sydney get together, if it is a warrior bond or whatever. Personally i love a good slow burn, an ambiguous messy situation and all but that relationship is going nowhere. He is going down and she with him, but it feels obliged. She is staying bc she is grateful but that special bond they had even in s2 is gone. I would have loved to see her so loyal she cares only about having that star as he wants.

I know we have all a fucked up relationship with food, but if in the previous seasons Carmy seemed to have some kind of interest on it, no more, here it's like he doesn't care about it at all. He could do whatever else and it would be the same. We see Richie loving serving well people and we see him so taken by this environment that he almost forgets about how much he loves his job and he regrets it, but Carmy? He could do professional card castles for how much he cares about food. He doesn't eat. How can you know if your food is good if you don't taste it?

Also the last episodes drag Sooo much. I love slow but why do I have to watch people talk about nothing when I could make my own small talk with my neighbour?

Also this is a personal consideration but in these years many shows had a very good s1 and then went downhill. It's a hubris thing? It's a "I didnt think it would have a s2 and it made me lose my mind" thing? It's a business thing? Idk

i'm glad you brought up the fishes episode from season two, because i got a lot of flak at the time for hating that episode lol. it, to me, felt very symbolic of the the larger issues with the show that i have (which i've already elaborated on elsewhere and won't rehash here). that episode gives us no new information, really, especially since the season doesn't even follow up on the donna plot thread anyway. it's spectacle for the sake of spectacle and casting all those stars for the sake of saying hey, look at who we can afford now that people care about our little indie show!

admittedly i've decided to not continue finishing s3 after the first episode - i just don't want to, i live one life, i'm sick and miserable and it's a holiday weekend and i'd rather watch iron chef america, etc. so i can't really speak to a lot of what s3 does, but it sounds to me like it's retreading a lot of familiar ground from seasons one and two and not really propelling the ship forward. i can't say this surprises me! i don't think chris & co are interested in creating a cohesive season.... they want every episode to be like fishes: a one-off that will grip you and make you forget how poorly structured the rest of it is. this is working on a lot of people, so i have to respect the grift lol. but i digress.

i will say re: the carmy and his relationship to food point you make that there's definitely a not-small group of chefs who actually have that kind of relationship to food lol.... they don't cook at home! they eat garbage! the other day i was watching an episode of alex vs. america on food network and it was being judged by two professional chefs with multiple restaurants, and one of them mentioned that the dish they were eating was similar to something she would cook at home. the other judge, a chef who is very well-known in LA and has many italian restaurants, is known for being a pasta master and cooks IN HIS RESTAURANT, replies in shock, "you cook at home?" now, i guess my question would be is this intentional or not lol..... i don't have a high opinion of the showrunner/writer so i won't answer that question. tbh i really don't think they know what to do with carmy, which is why his character arc/the story as a whole seems to constantly just.... come to a halt or go back to the beginning.

you bring up a lot of great points, and while again, i can't speak to most of s3 because i'm just not interested in going further with this show, i'm not shocked they seem to once again sideline the characters and relationships that got us on board with this show in the first place! and for what! to film in copenhagen and cast daniel boulud? ok. i am very neutral on syd and carmy (as in, i don't care if they go the romance route or not) but i liked their dynamic a lot in season one and i felt that it was lacking in season two. and from what i've read about season three, it feels like again it's lacking and once again carmy is doing the thing where he just totally disrespects her and sidelines here.... sydney! name-twin... if you can hear me: get out of there! leave this loser behind i am so serious.

I was born with a malformed uterus (it is bicornuate) I've always had problems from it and I just want it gone. How was the process? And healing? How has the removal affected you in the years after? I appreciate you bro.

Heya, first off, sorry for taking so long to reply, and thank you! It’s been really rewarding to get to share my experience with others, answer questions, and hopefully dispel some myths. Bottom surgeries for trans men & trans mascs are too often maligned or erased and I’m grateful for the opportunity to fight against that with facts and experience.

The process was kind of funny. The admission and all such were your typical surgery stuff. They kept me overnight in the hospital pumping me full of saline with two jolly nurses watching over me. More or less every hour I woke up needing to piss like a racehorse, and the nurses would gently make fun of my woozy attempts to get up in these marvelous Georgia accents while helping me do so and disconnecting me from the drip, and I’d shuffle off to pee like half a liter (like…literally). This pattern continued until I was able to pass a certain threshold of how much I peed at one time. The purpose of this was to make sure my bladder was working correctly. After that, they let me sleep a bit and then I was released.

Before the surgery I had asked my surgeon if I could see the parts she was taking out, so she took photos for me of my insides during surgery and the whole kit & caboodle after it was removed, and printed them out on nice glossy paper for me. I was frankly astounded by how tiny the uterus actually is. Diagrams make it look like it’s the size of both hands put together or something but it would have easily fit in the palm of one! Also my liver is kinda cute. I still want to frame those photos.

I went home and mostly slept in a recliner a lot for the first couple of weeks. I wore sweatpants and kept an ice buddy (a penguin full of rice my friends got me) on my belly much of the time. I am pretty good at staying ahead of the pain with my meds without taking it more frequently than is safe, so I was only really a little sore and very, very sleepy. Bathing was a matter of wet wipes and dry shampoo for a while. I think I was off work for somewhere between four and eight weeks, and once I was past the first two or so, I spent a lot of time still in the recliner with the ice buddy, but this time binge-watching Critical Role and playing Stardew Valley. My cats stayed as close to me as they could the whole time. I think 4 weeks after the fact I was more or less fine.

Shortly after my spay, I started having hot flashes: since mine was a total hysterectomy (they removed the uterus, both ovaries—which, sure enough, turned out to be absolutely riddled with cysts—and the cervix), my estrogen level went from low to fuck-all, so I basically went through Menopause Lite. The hot flashes weren’t miserable. They were just stretches of time when I looked around and went “Is it just me or is it hot in here all of a sudden? Is the A/C on?” and it was, in fact, just me. Those came and went for maybe 3 months.

(A note for cis women and for trans/nb guys who aren’t on T: I attribute the mildness of my menopause symptoms to the fact that PCOS and HRT were already suppressing my estrogen production. If you have “normal” estrogen levels, there is a non-zero chance that yours will be worse. Ask your doctor for more info about this. If you don’t have your ovaries removed, you won’t go through this in the first place.)

Obviously I am now forever free of the misery of menstruation and the unacceptable risk of becoming pregnant. Both of those things are extremely awesome and I love them forever. Being sterile fucking rules! I’ve wanted this since I was 6 years old and no one can ever take it away from me! \:D/

This last section is about peeing so it goes under a cut!

The one and only downside is that I need to pee, like, all the time. Granted, the fact that I drink about a gallon of water every day does have a lot to do with that. But I’ve found that the sensation of needing to piss urgently comes a lot sooner than it used to. On a normal day, with me sitting here guzzling sweet, unchlorinated, high-quality well water all the time, I have to hit the head every 1-2 hours. If I stop drinking liquids about an hour or two before a road trip I can make a 3-hour drive without needing a pit stop. I asked my mom and a friend, both of whom have also had hysterectomies, if they go through this too, and they confirmed that yeah they do need to pee a lot more frequently than before the surgery. Just, y’know, not as often as I do because they’re not drinking 3-5 L of water daily.

The upside to THAT, actually, is if I need to wake up early, I can just drink a glass of water before going to sleep and I am guaranteed an early wake-up. I am an extremely deep sleeper, much to my own detriment—except where my bladder is concerned.

An odd little thing I’ve found, since my uterus is no longer helping to control where my bladder sits in my torso, is that how I urinate is a little different. Before, it was just the normal muscle movements I’d been doing all my life. Now, I find that urine comes in “waves”: it starts out normal, but then—it’s hard to explain, but I use a slightly different sort of muscle movement, a Kegel type thing, to…it feels like repositioning my bladder a little(???), and then I can feel the rest of the urine pouring down to my ureter, and then it’s normal pissing again. I mean…I’m just guessing at what’s actually going on in there based on what I can feel happening, so I could be off, who knows. It’s a little strange, but it’s not at all painful or anything, it’s just a neutral thing.

I very strongly recommend starting Kegel exercises as soon as you can if you plan on getting a hysterectomy, if you’re not doing them already. These can go a long way to making sure you don’t have problems with incontinence afterward. They were a standard part of my daily life for quite a few years leading up to my spay and so far so good.

top five favorite moments of Heaven Has a Road

I already got this question, but that just means I get to list 5 more, oh no... >.>

1. Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen looking for Song Lan in Muaishan (chapter 41)

The scene where Song Lan has finally had enough and nopes out, and both the other two panic a bit about it and bond together to try and find him. The way they fall into each other without thinking, once they have a common goal. Xue Yang unthinkingly being reassuring, Xiao Xingchen unthinkingly trusting him. The little quips and jokes – “Far as I know, I’ve never been your wife!” (Is that so?)

This is the first time they interact properly after Xiao Xingchen lost his memories, but it quickly becomes apparent that there is a muscle-memory to his emotions, his affection and intuitive trust. And Xue Yang, who’s been so torn apart reacting instantly to that, falling back into step with him without thinking, because this is how things are supposed to be.

2. Yingchuan reveals (chapter 43)

I love the combo KO of Song Lan learning that Xue Yang has been expecting them to offer him up as a sacrifice the moment they get to Jinlintai just about all along, and then right on top of that, the reveal that Jin Guangyao is dead, and all their plans – including the ill-advised willingness to self-sacrifice – are completely shattered. It’s just such a perfect storm of a mess!

Counting the following confrontation in Wangzhuang into this, too, when they finally drop that fact on Xiao Xingchen who gets to join in on the shocked yelling and nervous breakdowns all around. 🙂

And of course, being faced with the prospect of Xue Yang dying is where Song Lan first has to confront his own feelings for Xue Yang, and how strong they’ve grown, no matter how unwanted.

3. Demonic cultivation in Wangzhuang (chapter 44)

I just think this is a really cool one? Xue Yang who’s teetering between “kill” or “help”, but finally offering to help the haunted widow of Wangzhuang reach out to her long-dead husband's soul, to either meet his ghost again or getting closure on him being truly gone. Using all the lingering ghosts of that miserable place as willing fuel and dancing with the thunderstorm to finally give her an answer to the same question that haunted him all those years in Yi City - is there anything left? Any hope at all? Why won’t he ever answer when I reach out?

Xue Yang has a very low capacity for empathy, and certainly not on a conscious level - but this once he witnesses this grieving stranger’s despair and feels something resonate within himself. And so he decides to help, for shits and giggles, to prove that he can pull off this insane feat… but maybe also for the sake of his own past self, and to give grief and longing one big middle finger on someone else’s behalf, too.

4. Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen’s reconciliation in Hongqi (chapter 50)

Another scene I spent a lot of time thinking about for literal years before actually getting to write it. Xiao Xingchen having been given Song Lan’s “blessing” to court Xue Yang too, being giddy (and very, very horny) with anticipation, and Xue Yang not picking up on it. At all. Just sulking about being hungry and wondering why Xiao Xingchen insists on them waiting in the bedroom? When they could be having lunch? Why, Daozhang? :(

And then being utterly floored when Xiao Xingchen spreads his arms to embrace him, telling him how much he’s missed him. Completely blindsided. Not one single defense up and ready. Just breaking right down crying, 8 years worth of horror and grief and hurt exploding out at once.

Not what either of them had planned for that afternoon, but lancing that wound for both of them is where they can finally begin healing, not only as individuals, but starting to mend this broken, twisted but heartfelt love between them.

5. Song Lan’s final insight in Dushou (chapter 56)

I'm very soft for the scene in the last posted chapter where Song Lan wakes up resting on Xiao Xingchen’s lap with Xue Yang draped all over him, clinging possessively to him, being theirs. And acknowledging being theirs.

Accepting his own messy feelings for Xue Yang, even to himself, even out loud. And confessing that Xiao Xingchen’s dream of them all being together is something he wants, too.

It’s a hurting kind of love, and he weeps as he finally faces it, how much it hurts him to love this way and what a betrayal it is, in so many ways. But also realizing that fighting himself on this would only cause more hurt, for himself, and for the others. Accepting that love is a surrender and a triumph in one.

Giving the sleeping Xue Yang a tentative little kiss on the head, and holding him closer as he goes back to sleep, directing that final “I love you” to them both. ♥

You'll actually have the option to do this at the end of the game and this is one of the routes you can pick in the Mine epilogues :3! Aki isn't in here mainly cause I couldn't think of anything she would do that is so bad you'd want to part with her.

Minato: Minato respects your wishes and leaves you alone. He spends his days working harder and taking care of his grandparents to get you off his mind. After his grandparents pass he'll probably move away. He won't stalk you or anything like that, once again he wants to respect your wishes.

Haruto: Haruto doesn't flat out see you, but he does hire guards to look after you and keep an eye on you. He might resort to breaking and entering in order to watch you sleep, just so he can see you without you seeing him. This is also one of the times where his mental state gets REAL bad and he'll eventually end up kidnapping you. I have stated that no matter what, you two will be together forever.

Jun: Jun heads back to college as soon as possible to get her mind off of you. But you are her muse and she finds herself making outfits on a base of your body, a character that looks so like you. She makes clothes that she thinks you'd look amazing in. When she goes home again, she just HAS to see you, has to see how you look now so he can update the bases he uses to look like you now. She'll visit you every night, she cannot leave you alone.

Hoshi: Hoshi also tries to just let you go, to respect your wishes and better himself. Tries telling himself that you're just like his ex, making up fake stories and lies about you in his head to try to make him hate you. But the fact of the matter is that you AREN'T like his ex, you're so much better, and he's OBSESSED with you. He truly thinks that you are the only person that he can work towards getting comfortable with, you are someone who deserves who he used to be. He might try kidnapping you, though he's never done it before so it's really bad and uncomfortable. He'll try explaining to you, and he KNOWS he sounds crazy but he seriously cannot let you go, so just give him one more chance, please?

Habiki: He'll pretend he doesn't care and goes straight back to square one, being moody and a complete jerk. I feel like Habiki doesn't really realize that he's obsessed with you and NEEDS to see you. In the end he cannot stick true to his words of leaving you alone and will stalk you, waiting for the perfect moment to make you HIS.

Kage: Due to the cameras, he never stops watching you. Even if you found out about the cameras and removed them, he would just place new ones. Watching you is his favorite past time, he'd be miserable without you in some type of form. Although he doesn't see you physically, he'll never stop watching you through cameras.

Kei: Much like Kage, he never stops watching you due to cameras. Anyways, it'd really be a shame if you left him after he did SO much to help you, after everything he did for you. It'd suck is he stopped helping you and letting you be in danger from those around you. It's okay, you'll see how much you need him soon enough :)

Yani: Agrees, but never REALLY leaves you alone. He's always watching. Always. If you EVER end up liking someone then she's committing identity theft just so you two can be together. So they definitely both switch it all up (...it's a little hard for me to focus because a variety of scenarios are just flitting through my head 😂). Olivia has some slightly more dom-top energy just in general, even outside the bedroom, but she is absolutely comfortable in the reverse roles, preferring to play to her partners needs (and she's had a few, so she can appreciate that variety). It's harder to get into Emrys without busting out a psych evaluation too. He's a hedonist to be sure but part of that stemmed from copying human behaviors in the first place, so he similarly is 'comfortable' in a range of positions, but speaking to his more genuine preference is another story. He's never had a long-term, regular partner to really explore it with. He has some hang-up's about master-servant roles in the bedroom, and overly playing up the dom-sub aspect. (I talked about it a bit here under the nickname 'Master') The trust between the two of them is immensely important when it comes to that. Generally I'd say he does seem to prefer top-dom, power bottoming, and just having a degree of control. But on the flip side once he's comfortable enough he finds he does very much enjoy handing over the reins to her, letting her tie him up, blind fold him, and explore that sort of thing together. Please do also imagine them wrestling around when they both want to top. 😌 ...Also dragonsplague 'aggression' is probably a whole other ballpark... 😳

This! Is another one of those fun Emrys things where he's figuring that out himself, actually. From a purely sexual standpoint (not actual poly relationships) he has never minded and always found multiple partners to be enjoyable. In fact, in the past, it was kind of preferable because it takes at least a little of the attention off of him solely. So again, he's never really had any actual short or long term, intimate relationships before. Friends with benefits, yes, who (like Olivia) were all of the similar casual, open mindset, but even those are somewhat rare for an immortal nomad. That said, getting involved with Olivia fell under that same scope, but had the immediate complication of... they're together all the time. The bond between them is already inextricably different. But he's still fine with both of them having other partners, sharing partners, etc. It's... not until he starts to really wrestle with having deeper feelings for Olivia, that he starts to get more tepid (and rarely, passive aggressive) about it. Unfortunately for him, he wants to know he means something special to her - he just doesn't even realize that himself, truly. Not at first. It's not even so much he has a problem with it now, it's just that he wants a reassurance that he holds a spot in their web of relationships that no one else does. But he can get pretty possessive, especially with some dragonsplague in the mix. And further down the line their range of partners does narrow, particularly because it's a two-for-one deal, you can't have one without the other anymore.

and then there's blake and cas. more quiet than their other half, more reserved. ashamed of their past in an organisation that causes so much and harm and desperate to prove to themselves and others that they've changed. they never expected to be anything other than alone but were shown especially by yang and dean that they didn't have to be. that they could love and be loved. both are booksmart but maybe not as good with people, seem quiet but underneath all that can be sassy as hell. 

and then there's the parallel with their relationships - how they interact with each other. yang constantly likes to pretend that everything is fine, the only time she doesn't is after she loses her arm and blake leaves. she becomes sullen and bitter. sound familiar? when cas dies dean is always despondent. we see this especially after cas dies in season 13, the way he takes it out on sam and jack is very similar to how yang takes it out on ruby at the end of volume 3.

then when cas comes back, it's not suddenly easy, but dean's mood does a complete 180. he almost kills himself and then an episode later he's smiling and laughing about cowboys. it's a bit different for yang since blake didn't die but after she comes back, especially after they make up, you can see the way she changes, the way she's happier; happier than she was in volume 4 and 5. when cas and dean fight, it's miserable for everyone else - same with blake and yang. 

they're always there for each other. yang and dean - though charismatic and charming - never made lasting connections aside from those with family, they may have had friends but... cas and blake showed them what it was like to have a best friend. to have someone you love and trust implicitly. blake and cas saw them through different eyes, made them feel better and have more love for themselves. this was a two way street.

ATLA AUs:

Dragon and the Phoenix: Mirrorverse–Ozai & Iroh. The eldest child of Fire Lord Azulon is the one who fails to escape his influence, and the youngest found himself overseas.

Drought: Avatar Zuko. Galvanized by having an Avatar of their own, the Fire Nation launches a full invasion on the South, in which Sokka and Katara are the only survivors. 

One Less Betrayal: It’s essentially a villain siblings AU (because there’s not nearly enough of those tbh) wherein the defining change is that Zuko’s final betrayal of the series (his betrayal of the Fire Nation in Book 3) doesn’t happen. However, the effect his newfound loyalty has on his mental health is damning; while he forms a strong bond with Azula, Zuko’s relationships with others (particularly Mai and Ty Lee) suffers greatly. He regresses dangerously, becoming more aggressive and unstable (Azula never has a breakdown in this AU, because she has her brother with her, but he kinda does, albeit not in the same way). Eventually the siblings both become convinced that their father intends to steal all the glory behind the war and leave them with nothing. Working together, the two of them are able to overthrow him, and plan to rule the world together as two crowns, Zuko succeeding Ozai as Fire Lord and Azula becoming the Earth Kingdom’s first Serpent Queen. The two of them are now the resistance’s worst enemy.

Icarus: Modern AU. (posted here~) Jetka. Past-Zukka. Zuko-centric. Zuko finally moves back home to pick up the pieces of his past life, only to realize that some things can’t be fixed. 

Ice King: (posted here!) Sokka is alone after losing his mother, the disappearance of his sister, the departure of his father, and the distance of his grandmother. Soon after Hakoda leaves, the boy crashes his kayak into a iceberg, and uncovers the Avatar, but he has little hope that this will change anything for him or anyone. miserable, depressing.

Innocence: Ozai-centric. Aang’s gift from the Lionturtle doesn’t take Ozai’s bending. Instead, it de-ages him to a small child and wipes his memory. a lot of focus on the fire fam’s past and Iroh

Into the Maw: The Fire Nation conquered the world during the siege on Ba Sing Se. To put the rebellious SWT in its place, the Chieftain’s daughter is arranged to the Fire Nation. Furious and protective, Sokka disguises himself and is sent to the Fire Nation in her place. includes: attempted assassination, cross-dressing. 

The Fire Nation’s Catastrophic Failure: At the end of Sozin’s Comet, Ozai gets turned into a harmless, talking housecat, funny ensues. bonus: Ursa is a bona fide cat lady.

Tuurngaq: Imagine the time period right after Kya is murdered, and the entire family is just completely broken down and grieving because of her loss. But kid Sokka, unable to help his drifting father in any way, or do anything to make his sister’s tears and upset stop, feels some kind of twisted, guilty responsibility to fix everything. So he sneaks into the wilderness and encounters a powerful spirit, which he begs to bring their mother back. And it says it will, with the condition that he offers his own life to the spirit in exchange. Sokka agrees.

Wei: Nonbender Ozai AU. gray morals. Azulon tosses out his second son, and Ozai is declared dead. Ozai becomes an underground prize-fighter to earn money, going by the name of Wei. His desire to be the strongest fighter is only matched by his hatred of the royal family. probably urzai. 

Well He’s no Robinhood: jetka AU. Jet kidnaps the son of the Southern Chief to earn money, and is drawn to how brilliant and challenging he is.

A Kinder Shade of Black: Sora and Vanitas are marooned on an unknown world together. Separated from their allies and stuck, they really have no option but to work together in a hostile land. During the interim, Vanitas finds himself tentatively amused that the Lights’ precious golden boy isn’t quite the utterly pure-of-heart champion that others have raised him up to be. A little bit of Darkness goes a long way, especially when everything’s out to get you; it also makes for some rather entertaining company. But he isn’t really expecting for Sora’s influence to distract him in the way that it does, or for the two of them to bridge a gap that was never meant to be crossed. trope: enemy mine/vanso

Tower of God AUs:

Gladiator AU: I've wrote a bit about this one already, but it's still the best.

Error Code 422: canon divergent au where Wangnan and Miseng stick together and are active in the Hidden Floor arc (and hunted by their glitched out Sworn Enemies). Many secrets are exposed to the main characters/Wangnan outs himself early.

Yet so Far: the one where Wangnan is pining over Bam throughout S2. Nothing unrequited here, he's just dumb and can't spit it out. literally everyone is aware this is going on but Bam.

Rogue Princesses: AU where Team Sweet & Sour are identified as allies of Jue Viole Grace and attacked, leaving most of the team in critical condition. Out of desperation, Wangnan uses the Sword to perform a blood transfusion to save them...with dramatic side effects. -In other words, all of his female teammates basically become bootleg Princesses. (Assumes he reunited with Ehwa, as I'm not leaving her out of this :> )

Sun on the Horizon: Fantasy/kingdom AU. On a diplomatic visit to the capital, Khun is hired to track down the King's missing son. It's not as serious a situation as it seems. Khun has a secret agenda to track down a lost friend, but there's something inspiring about this prince that didn't meet any of his expectations. this is a khunwang au.

Regret: a time-travel au where a very depressed Wangnan gets a chance to go back and undo a moment in time to save his friends. Bam finds out he's about to make a terrible mistake and rushes to stop him, but ends up trapped in the body of his past self, unable to act until history is altered.

slayer prince au: the one where Karaka finds Wangnan on the 20th a decade or so previously, and more or less inducts him as a secret candidate. When Bam arrives on the 20th floor, Jinsung hires Wangnan to keep an eye on his student, and make him a new team. As usual, he goes a little off-script.

6. Different characters played by the same actor/actress you think would have fun meeting (fun for you or them? who knows).

I'm still on Barbie brain, so what if Harley Quinn showed up. Margot Robbie playing Harley Quinn who tries to pretend to be Barbie. Or something. Somebody from Mattel capturing Harley on accident. Or worse, Amanda Waller's minions grabbing Barbie thinking she's Harley and sending her on a mission. Or the two meet on the street, enjoying their breakfast sandwiches. I think there is some potential for hilarity. They would absolutely support each other, that much is for sure!!!

7 Two films - from very different genres at best - you'd want to mash-up in an unholy experiment.

The thought process: I wanted to think of a comedy and the first that came to mind was Barb and Star go to Vista del Mar. A totally underrated gem of a great time. But thinking about what to mash that up with - preferably horror - I realized that Barb & Star need to have adventures all over the place! They are the perfect duo to make everything hilarious. They are the bestest of friends who will have each others' back no matter what and they don't flinch when bizarre doom is coming for them. I watched Insidious: The Red Door recently and that came up. The two just walking around in the Further and giving decoration tipps to the demon, you know.

Barb & Star meet Ghostface -- Barb & Star visit Gotham City -- Barb & Star watch the Hunger Games (in the Capitol, VIP seats) -- Barb & Star vs the Mummy -- Barb & Star in a cabin in the woods They will thrive! And Trish will always be there to help them out. Every film has one throwaway scene with Sharon and Yoyo trying to get back at them and they fail miserably.

10. A remake you wish would happent for whatever reason.

Cutthroat Island. You know what, I'll even keep most of the plot, because I enjoy it. Only a few tweaks. BUT the character of William Shaw (used to be Matthew Modine) is now Wilhelmina and we get the lesbians we deserve. Geena Davis gets to have a cameo. Or she can be the villain Dawg Brown, here for that.

14. An action sequence you deeply enjoy.

The beginning in X-Men: Days of Future Past. When the rag tag bunch of last free mutants with Kitty & Co escape the Sentinels. It is a tense scene, very dynamic and it highlights all the powers used. Blink's portals, Iceman's ice-sliding etc etc. Also they die so we get to see how big of a threat these Sentinels truly are. And then *poof* it's erased so the scene also helps explaining the big plotpoint of how quantum-time-travel-bladiblubb works in this.

I remember watching that for the first time on the big screen and I was so excited. It's only the beginning of the movie and we get such a treat. Sunspot gets to power up Bishop and then blasts a Sentinel with all he's got. Meanwhile Iceman freezes one of them. And then those bastard machines show they have powers of their own adapt and we get fire and ice used against them.

Also Blink & Warpath work so effortlessly together. Her portals and his combat skills. :3 :3 :3 (Look, this is why we got ThunderBlink in The Gifted and I'm here for that.) The overall teamwork and the way they look at each other, it's a good scene I enjoy watching very much.

1. Are you named after anyone ?

I'm named after a book as far as I'm aware. My second name is very masculine which I greatly enjoy, it references a family member.

2. When was the last time you cried ?

Yesterday.

3. Do you have kids ?

Nope and thank god.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot ?

I honestly don't really know, I know some of my friends use it a lot and sometimes it flies over my head which they find very entertaining.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people ?

It feels a little shallow to say but I probably notice clothes first. It's just something that interests me. Probably has something to do with me being bad with eye contact as well ;').

6. What’s your eye color ?

Light brown/hazel I think.

7. Scary movies or happy endings ?

Oohh this is a hard one. I love fun comedies just as much as anything scary or tragic I think. Yeah sorry, I won't be able to pick just one.

8. Any special talents ?

I've had multiple people say that they find my presence comforting, I'm honestly not sure why and in hindsight I wish I'd have asked why. I can put Ikea furniture together on my own that'd require two people according to the manual. I genuinely don't know any talents I might have.

9. Where were you born ?

A little town in the South of the Netherlands, with how small the country is I won't be getting anymore specific since that'd be pretty much akin to giving my address.

10. What are your hobbies ?

So many. Drawing being my big passion. I also like to tinker with my desktop, play Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons. I like reading too but I've not done much of that lately, I like horror/thriller the most but I've read lot of fantasy as well. I enjoy a little bit of writing every now and then and last year I started picking up electric guitar but I'm still terrible, it's okay though because it's still fun. Lastly, I am a leader/supervisor of the Explorers (age 15-18) every week at one of our local scouting groups. I genuinely don't know English scouting terminology so I can't put it in a better way than that :').

11. Do you have any pets ?

Two precious little bunnies, Ciri (will take a bite out of your ankles if you're in the way but is also a real sweet girl) and Pablo (absolute coward, look at that little man. Down for some cuddles if you bring snacks though).

12. What sports do you play/have you played ?

I've played badminton for a little bit in the past, but I never really got back into it. I am still a part of scouting.

13. How tall are you ?

169 cm/5'7 ft (I think?).

14. Favorite subject in school ?

I enjoyed the languages and art. In hindsight I think I would've loved math and/or chemistry/physics if I wasn't such a miserable thing during high school, I just didn't want to put in the effort for those types of subjects since they were difficult for me.

15. Dream job ?

It used to be tattoo artist until recently because I've been growing an interest in costume design, and there do happen to be studies for that in the Netherlands so who knows, I've definitely been orientating myself a little. Changing my goal would be just as terrifying as it is potentially exciting, so for now I'm just thinking of what I want to do with my life. I want to draw at least, and work with my hands.
