It really depends on you tbh

Like if you’re an artist or musician-

If you have any talents or skills really, just something you’re passionate about

Then I definitely see that as something he’d adore about you

Especially if you’re constantly portraying such talents and draw him stuff, crochet him anything or give him some sort of trinket or gift relating to your skill

It’s either that or your constant willingness to help out with the paranormal

There aren’t many people who would and regardless if you do so with a face of bravery or cowardice, he’d still greatly appreciate it and admire you for it

A - Attention (how much attention do they want in the relationship?)

I’d assume about a good amount?? I mean you’re dating each other so it’s only natural 😭

You see eachother everyday too and most likely hang out in either of your apartment rooms/ houses

As much as I see him liking the attention I also think he’d like some solitude

Especially since it was most likely not on purpose and was only cuz you opened the door and weren’t expecting anyone to be on the other side

As I mentioned before it really depends on you and your personality traits/passions

If you’re particularly kind or often defend others then that’s something Sal would admire about you

The only way I can is when you’re looking at your friend and can’t help admire how beautiful they are

Sal doesn’t have much of a preference more often than not

It’s nice to cuddle with him too, especially during winter although I do see Sal as one of those people that are cold so even if you’re one of them too-

Honestly his ideal date would probably just be the two of you hanging out somewhere, anywhere really

If something is bothering him or just stressing him out he’s likely to communicate that with you

Honestly he’d probably realize pretty quickly by being snapped back to reality by you or another factor and realize he should just let you know how he feels

School wise he only ever thought of graduating, never anything after

When you two start dating and getting closer he might think briefly of marriage but that’s as far as it goes

He isn’t one to get upset or overly angry when arguing, at most it’s just a discussion without any heat

On his part at-least, it depends on you and how you handle it

Especially if you “try” to make him mad, it just makes him feel weirded out and want some space

If you’re upset about something he’ll just want you to communicate that with him

He’ll always listen, as long as you do too

So if he did something that hurt you he’d apologize, he wouldn’t be afraid too and he always will

But he’d appreciate that you do the same when you realize a mistake done on your part

Sal is always gifting you little things

Maybe little trinkets he finds or even some cool looking acorns or rocks

Though in his opinion these aren’t even gifts, just something small he does on his part

Gradually his gifts get actual “gifty” in his opinion and he starts giving you things you talk about

Obviously taking note of your likes and interests

If you’re a big gift giver then Sal is one to be appreciative but it might also be uncomfortable for him to accept

Not for any particular reason, just the closer you get and casual it is to gift each other stuff, will he be more accepting

Sal is honestly so grateful and him telling you that he loved you even as friends wasn’t uncommon

He’d always let you know how much you meant to him and still does, though telling you he loved you at the beginning of your relationship obviously meant something more

So he’d fluster and hesitate to say it

Because you’re likely one of his oldest friends since he moved to the apartments in the first place, he’ll likely see you as a huge part of his life

You helped out in more ways than he could’ve asked but I think that comparing what you have to anything else in his life is offensive to him in the sense that the amount he loves things are not on the same level as another

He’ll always be there for you to listen, just make sure to communicate that you’re not in the best mood if you don’t feel like going to a Sal therapy session

Plus, it’s not like it’s all that one sided

We all know how much Sal has through in his life, mixed with the cult, losing his mom, murdering half the apartment residents, and so on so forth in his adult life

Obviously the nightmares that happen depend on what part of his life and your relationship it takes place in, but my point is that you’re there for him just as much as he is there for you

Physically too, at first you would’ve believed him if he told you he was afraid of shattering you

Going purely based off that fact that he acted as though you were glass

Highschool Sal was just that flustered by it and adult Sal isn’t that much different- just faux nonchalant

Highschool Sal is filled with immense nervous energy when you try to hold his hand

He isn’t opposed, don’t mistake it for him disliking it, if anything it’s the opposite

He’ll enjoy you trying to hold his hand at any time, even at school

Though depending on your identity and sexuality it might provoke some unseemly comments from the resident closeted gay Travis

Either way, the older you get the more Sal is happy to hold your hand

If you even want to swing your arm and along with that his, he’ll laugh and find it endearing

Sal loves hugs so much but ,again , the younger he is when you start dating the more stiff and unfamiliar he acts

Not that he always is, just that when these acts of affection are done in a romantic context only does he feel flustered

He will eventually be more comfortable, it inevitable. But, even if he’s more towards the awkward beginning stage of your relationship he’ll always hug you back.

Sal will always be open to hugs, he doesn’t really initiate it often because I don’t think that’s his love language

But he is always more than welcoming to affection that you want to give, so it’s more dependent on you

He’ll immediately try and help you any way and if this warranted a hospital visit or something then he’d try to be there for you

Because him not being able to do anything for you is inevitable, he would have to stand by and just wait- feeling useless

Let me explain

During Highschool, Sal is just new to romance and likely as told you that he loved you when you were friends

So, because of a slip up and because of how much affection he held for you, he accidentally slipped up and told you he loved you

You two were probably just chilling in his room hanging out like usual and after that is just pure silence

He slowly looks at you and then what happens next is dependent on how you react

If you tell him you also loved him, with an romantic undertone he’d flush but not argue because believe it or not

He also loves you

Now the next is him waiting a long time, well I lied

There is no world where he’d take a long ass time because he either blurts it out when you’re about to kiss or something, Larry teases him about it and tells you for him (on accident) or something else ensues

Either way if he tried to hold it in he’d probably burst from it

Yes yes and yes

Sal isn’t actively trying to pull pranks or harsh jokes

That’s just not how he is, but he will tease and shoot back a playful insult or two depending on you

If you’re the type to push people when you laugh or are just playful then he’ll always go along with it even if it isn’t how he is

Despite this, he occasionally has the mischievous urge to participate in a harmless prank here and there

Nothing more because that’s just not how he is, I really can’t say anything else

Honestly Sal is not really a jealous guy whatsoever

He’s secure in your relationship and is honestly pretty chill

As long as you tell him you’re only into him and only will be then that’s good enough for him

Honestly it’s sort of unnerving

I guess the only instance I can see it is when he’s new to the relationship, even then you guys were likely friends before so why wouldn’t he trust you?

Sal could either be the one to initiate your first kiss or not

Leaning to not just because of his hesitance to any affection done in a romantic context

The first time you two kissed was likely back in high school

It was done after you two hung with a crowd of your friends and loved ones and finally got time to spend alone

You don’t know what possessed you to but maybe it was the already tension filled air that caused you to silently ask Sal before leaning in and kissing him

He’s honestly flushed from head to toe and just stares (?) at you afterwards because of how much he refuses to even test much less trust his voice

It was shocking to him since this was the few times he didn’t have his mask on (in room) and you probably only kissed his cheek with his mask still on

Sals kisses are usually on your cheek or forehead

It’s mostly because that’s a pretty tame and surface level of affection and most times it’s when you’re sleeping or resting on his lap

When you’re in public you hardly have any chance to actually kiss since he has his mask on, so as weird or silly it may seem he’ll let out a small laugh if you kiss him with it on

Mostly just goes with how you like to kiss too, otherwise small pecks on the lips and other places like your cheeks and forehead are for him.

Sals love language is definitely somewhere between quality time, gift giving, and words of affirmation

Highschool was the only way you could actively be near each other and Sal loved having classes with you soley because he got to hang out with you

Even then, you guys often hang out outside of school (the whole paranormal cult thing) and by also just having been living in the apartments at the time

That continues even as adults

Also the reason why you ended up moving in with Sal because he wanted to desperately hang out with you but couldn’t because you were unable to due to jobs, higher education, etc

At least this way you’re able to see each other at the beginning and near the end of the day

Sals gifts and also somewhat can be considered acts of service has always been apparent

Even in high school where he’d love to give you little trinkets (as previously mentioned) and would also be more than happy to help you with things

When sleeping in the same bed as Sal he’s honestly a pretty good sleeper

Even in his sleep he’s considerate and you never have problems sharing blankets or space

The only time either of you would ever fall off would be if your own accords (in which Sal probably has)

I mean most times you’re cuddling so there’s no issues there, especially if it’s cold

The only problem is when it’s summer and it gets hot, otherwise sleeping with Sal is enjoyable.

Sun in 11th shows a drive and ambition towards his future dreams and goals. San has always wanted to be a singer since he was young and has worked very hard to achieve his dream. He has improved his performance and vocal skills immensely over the years, often being the most eye catching member for many people who aren't ATINYs.

Mercury Leo in 11th shows a preference for like minded people. San seems to really enjoy the company of others - seems considerate of others feelings and cares to be on good terms with people. He has a natural charm and sweetness about him.

Moon in 9th also adds onto his ambitiousness - he truly seems to want to make a great influence on the world and be successful. Especially as a Virgo rising...I've never seen a lazy Virgo placement, they always work so hard for they want. He's very strongly opinionated, all of his beliefs come from the heart.

Saturn is also in 9th, which solidifies his strong beliefs/opnions. Saturn here puts a heavy focus on building future career and life. He makes sure to implement a sense of strictness and discipline into his routine.

Saturn trine ASC can make him appear serious and quiet. Physically, it can give people sharp features (Saturn and prominent bone structure), which San definitely has: sharp cheekbones and jaw, nose and eyes, prominent brow bones. Angular brow shapes suit him the best too (at least imo - it looks more cohesive with the rest of his features compared to straight brows). This is also likely why many people may find him intimidating at first or think he's older than his real age.

Mars Scorpio in 2nd is such a possessive and protective placement. It also creates an incredibly hardworking individual who always goes for whatever they want with no limit. San may be especially inclined to working hard towards his finances and can be particular about things he owns (iirc he has a black card but also won't bother to buy new things sometimes).

Venus Leo in 12th is interesting, especially since Venus squares Moon and Pluto too. He's certainly loyal and devoted to those he loves (Leo's loyalty + Pluto's possessiveness). In 12th though, perhaps San is shy at first? Or at least very selective. It seems once he trusts/loves a person though, he really clings onto them (just look at the way he's glued to the other members and how he always says Yeosang is his. Venus square pluto behavior). Moon square Venus can add onto his attached and affectionate nature (though, many Leo venuses are just affectionate in general)

Uranus and Neptune in 5th makes for a creative and expressive individual. San clearly loves the arts and always expresses his passion in every performance. He may be a bit strange and unconventional, but I think that's just an artist thing in general

Pluto in 3rd explains his thoughtfulness so much! San is a little silly at times, but he seems to have a very deep side to him due to this placement. You can especially see it in the way he talks/writes in his letters to the members and fans - he writes in a way that pulls at heart strings (even I've gotten emotional at one of his letters and I'm not the type to get soft hearted so easily) and makes people reflect. It also explains his strong beliefs and opinions - he's such an advocate for authenticity. Pluto in 3rd folks have a very specific way of talking and thinking that makes them stand out.

Chiron in 3rd may make him feel insecure about the way he talks and thinks though - maybe San is going or has gone through a period of feeling misunderstood by others. A lot of Chiron in 3rd ppl do. Although he does like spending time with others, I think he may accidentally drive people away by oversharing and/or talking too much...He seems a bit intense and clingy, which may be overwhelming for others. Communication and self esteem is a struggle for many with this placement.

Being a Virgo rising, he may appear quiet and serious, observant and disciplined. Hard working with high standards. Pluto and Saturn aspect his ASC so it adds onto the natural stern energy he has.

North Node Leo in 11th is focused on building community, contributing to groups, and celebrating the individualities of others. I think he is doing a pretty good job at this as he's very encouraging and kind to others and is always advocating for people to simply be themselves.

Gemini MC can appear sociable, curious, and optimistic. San is a pretty positive person, I don't think I've seen him be negative to himself or others much...He always seem to be active on socials as he talks to ATINYs a lot. ATEEZ considered him one of the more talkative members in the group too.

Simon’s Month - Purple (Rain)

Through the power of Prince, Simon tries to pull a prince. Well, an ex-prince.

Simon keeps glancing over at him from across the pub. Of course he does, how can he not? The ex-prince is beautiful, but it’s also the fifth time he’s been to this pub while Simon’s performing and he’s still yet to make a move. Though Simon has caught him staring dozens of times now, they’ve not exchanged one word. It definitely won’t be Simon who starts it now. Not only would flirting with royalty (even former royalty) go against every moral standing of his sixteen-year-old self, it’s become a sort of game now. How many times will he catch the little prince looking tonight?

Maybe, Simon thinks, if he performs a song that makes the first move, invites over the pretty man with the cheekbones and the auburn hair through the lyrics, then it doesn’t really count, and technically he still won.

Turning to his guitarist for the evening (a young guy named Sock, was it? Simon really needs to find a new pub; he’s tired of these poser punk types with their five-hundred dollar ripped black jeans and 4-karat nose piercings), Simon asks, “You know anything off Purple Rain?”

Sock stares blankly up at him, guitar pick dangling loosely from his lip.

“You know… the Prince album?”

There’s more blank staring.

“Are you kidding?” Simon huffs.

From over Sock’s shoulder, the drummer, Manny, shakes their head in disappointment. “Ignore him, he’s an idiot. Which song are you thinking?”

Relieved that at least one from his band has some taste in music, he holds out both hands, reaching for Sock’s guitar. “Give me that. No, just take five for this song. This is punishment for not knowing Prince.” Simon watches Sock’s eyes flick over to the corner of the pub where he knows that other prince is sitting, and it makes him even more astonished. “Not that prince. Goddamnit, Sock, just go out back and listen to some Prince, okay? The music artist, Prince. I beg you.”

Ignorant kid out of his sight, and electric guitar in hand, Simon turns back to his drummer and bassist to plan.

A few minutes later, they take the stage.

As Manny bangs out the introduction, Simon lets his eyes roam over the crowd. He can see a few older folk who’ve already recognized the song, and that makes him smile. For now, he keeps his eyes away from the ex-prince, focusing on arranging his fingers on the fretboard of the guitar.

In his head, he counts himself in, then he finds Wilhelm’s eyes in the crowd and begins to sing.

They turn me on

At this distance, and with the few weak lights pointed at the stage, it’s hard to read his face. He’s definitely looking back at Simon, though.

As Simon starts the next verse, he watches, pleased, as Wilhelm stands off his stool at the bar and moves closer to the small stage.

Closer now, Simon can see that the man has clearly made an effort to step away from his royal past, what with his baggy pants and loose graphic tee. But, somehow, he still looks a little too perfect. His smudged eyeliner is messy, but in a purposeful way. His hair, longer than it used to be (Simon only knows because the gossip rags won’t stop reminiscing on the old, pre-abdication days), is clearly silky and well taken care of. While his fingers skim over the chords, Simon imagines what it’d be like to run his fingers through that hair, to mess that eyeliner up further.

Come on and touch the place in me

Why must we play this game?

There’s a small smile on Wilhelm’s face now. He knows this performance is for him, knows Simon is calling him out. And he seems to like it.

Simon doesn’t point directly at him, it’s more of a general point out at the audience. Wilhelm just happens to be right in the center, right in the line of where Simon’s finger directs. Anyway, Simon hasn’t been coy, he’s been staring directly at him, singing directly to Wilhelm this whole time. If anything, the pub and its usuals have probably been watching them dance around each other for weeks.

Surely he doesn’t still live in a castle anymore, but even without his titles, there’s no way Wilhelm isn’t filthy rich.

Simon can compromise on a few more of his morals, though, if it means going home with the man, if it means having those long fingers wrapped around his neck, rather than the neck of a glass.

Wilhelm takes a swig of his drink, eyes locked on Simon over the rim, and Simon knows he has him.

He sings through the last repeats of the chorus, his smirk growing now that Wilhelm’s nearly reached the stage, and he can see the look in his eyes, can see he knows exactly what Simon’s doing.

Wilhelm remains seated at the table closest to the tiny stage for the rest of Simon’s set, and if Simon throws in a few more flirty songs, a few extra winks, so what?

When he returns from packing the instruments in the back room, though, Wilhelm has disappeared from the room. Simon tries not to groan out loud in frustration. He shouldn’t be surprised, really, that even after so many weeks and so many longing glances, royal expectations and tradition must die hard.

At the bar, he orders a rum and coke and shoots the bartender a glare when she gives him a look. He takes one sip, then pushes it away, disgusted by the taste.

Technically, he’s got another set in an hour, but he’s not really feeling up to it anymore. Maybe he’ll scan the bar again and see if anyone else strikes his fancy. Better to go home with some other pretty stranger than no one at all.

“Can I buy you another?”

Suppressing a startled jump, Simon takes his time turning to the source of the voice next to him. He props his head on his fist and looks through lazy, half-open eyes at the ex-prince, leaning on the bar beside him. Wilhelm looks slightly awkward, nervous, but the look in his eyes is sure, and the intensity with which he stares at Simon makes something stir in his core.

“I thought you’d left,” Simon says casually, turning back towards the bar, but keeping his body half-tilted towards Wilhelm.

The man clears his throat. “I’d be an idiot to leave after that.”

Simon lets a small smile grow on his face, then looks over his shoulder, brown eyes meeting brown.

“Simon.” He holds out a hand.

The pretty man takes Simon’s hand in a warm grip.

“Wille.”

“Nice to meet you, Wille.” Simon smirks, “Are you a fan of Prince, then?”

Wille bites his lip, then leans forward slightly, Simon’s hand still gripped in his. “I’m a fan of you.”

I just wanted to say that all your reindeer are absolutely stunning (and after you explained your thinking I feel silly for misidentifying Dancer and Vixen), but I'm especially going to be obsessed for days with Rudolph and his mobility runners. I absolutely love seeing disability representation and that is such a brilliant, thoughtful design and I just wanted to say thank you for it.

I did a breakdown of how his sleigh is built!

The reason this project took me 3 years is because of all the rudolph iterations I did. None of them grabbed me or felt inspired until a couple weeks ago I was brainstorming in the shower about red noses -> skin conditions -> disabilities and I got the idea for giving him a mobility aid in addition to albinism.

I feel like a physical disability has a chance to resonate with people moreso than red noses. It's just another way to explore being excluded by peers and finding happiness by getting better friends. I started out thinking of giving him some sort of rosacea, psoriasis/eczema, port wine birthmark, etc. I could do a story about kids making fun of and excluding him based solely on his appearance, because that's reality for so many people.

In the end I decided as an artist I would have more fun designing a mobility aid and seeing how I can adapt the world to his needs, while highlighting who he is as a person (loves geography and stargazing, finds a new family in his sled team)

He's still just as disabled after joining santa's team, and it doesn't make him special and exploitable. It's just one of the many aspects that make up his life.

I plan to do a bunch more research and bring in more disabled people as consultants before I get too far in the story.

Thinking about dancer Grimmjow a lot🫢💦 and maybe artist Ichigo 🥺💕

Ichigo who’s always looking for inspiration, always a sketchbook and some sort of graphite or pen on hand; drawing strangers is great practice after all.

Him sitting outside a dance studio, perhaps? 👀 idk yet exactly what kind of dancer, but I imagine Grimmjow would do something that requires a lot of elasticity and movement. He’s the type that knows a bit of everything but likes stuff that occupies his whole body and honestly enjoys using new alt music most, like contemporary dance, something that feels almost like gymnastics to him.

Ichigo goes there regularly, he finds dancers of any kind are great for dynamic drawings, and one of the younger students’ teachers there knows him and knows he’s not some sort of creep; he’ll even show her at times the drawings he’s made of her choreographies. Yoruichi just loves to look at herself, he’s sure.

But the studio doesn’t just host children and teens’ dance classes; older, more experienced dancers go there to work and practice and meet-up for future projects (he’s come to learn, on the times Yoru spooks him away from having his nose buried between paper and pen).

It’s always great when new dancers come in, all with different dance styles, approaches to the art, different faces and even body types.

Then he comes along. Aggressive in his art, but somehow careful, graceful like a feline, sure of himself and his skills. Shoots a cold look his way the first time he sees him, Ichigo’s almost ashamed of the little crush that flourishes from the way this man so easily puts him down with his eyes.

Maybe not right away, but he can’t deny that very look chases him even now. Sketching away on a farther bench than usual in case the guy with the blue hair and the jaguar tattoo sees him drawing him, again.

Nothing inherently wrong with it— mind you, he’s still not being a creep. The guy hasn’t asked him to stop, hasn’t said much at all actually; brushed off his stuttered apology and only winked his way when asked if he should stop.

But god forbid he ever give Grimmjow fucking Jaegerjaquez the satisfaction of catching him sketching the perfect curve of his spine with the eyes of a maniac, again. Looming over him with a predatory grin and an accusatory, amused, look that knew ��Ichigo knows he knew— exactly how many times he’d practiced that stupid curve.

also I’m headcanoning Grimmjow as mexican/german, bc I can✨ mexican mom and german dad, so he is fluent in spanish, german and english and totally speaks with a jumble of all three when he’s in comfortable company, def think he lived most of his life in mexico tho bc yes,,, also maybe sibling Nelliel??? yes🥹??? Hi stiff!! I was writing this as a comment but I think it’s a better ask. It’s very long and I will not be upset if you don’t answer! :3

I think part of peoples aversion to it is that it doesn’t conform to the style people are used to seeing online by popular artists. There’s this sorta phenomenon I’ve noticed where people tend to move their style towards a very cartoon/anime ish style with little variation because it’s pretty and that’s what people/algorithms like. People gravitate moreso if they intend on selling their art though.

So, when someone has a stylistic choice that doesn’t really fit that mould people find it “weird”. Exaggerated features (or in this case and many others like, a feature people just have???) are often seen as ugly or strange. An example of this is the person on TikTok who drew characters with big foreheads and lower eyes and got bullied off the platform for it! Another example could be “the tumblr art style” where commentary channels bullied artists who drew any minority ever or “ugly” features. It really exemplifies to me how online culture (especially on western apps) views western standards of beauty as the only way people can be beautiful. And why, in their mind, would someone create art that isn’t beautiful in that way unless they’re trying to be weird or make a statement? When, in reality, the beauty is in that they’re drawing what they see, what they want to see, and what they think is beautiful. Without diversity in what we consider beauty there is no beauty.

In this case it also feels a bit. Weird. To have the big nose be such a big issue. I don’t see people getting mad at hooked nose scar? How is this any different? There is nothing different about the way you draw scar now and the way you drew him before aside from that. You’ve always drawn him with body hair and fat and with these details that really just. Humanize him. And I think the point I’m trying to make here is that drawing people with big noses or crooked eyes or acne scars isn’t bad or weird and only adds to your art. It only makes you a better artist and I’ve genuinely watched you improve really really fast as you’ve drawn these characters with so much body diversity. Anyway. Big nose scar sweeeeep

honestly yea. sometimes when i see people draw certain characters it almost feels like theyre afraid of making them "unattractive" if you know what i mean? like i dont know how else to describe it but its really weird.

making their nose smaller, giving female characters bigger eyes and fuller lips, drawing only skinny characters, drawing older people with less wrinkles then they actually have or should have etc. and like people can draw whatever they want of course but tbh i see those "unattractive" parts as beautiful.

like i genuinely think wrinkles are pretty. i think big noses, hooked noses, small noses, crooked noses or just any kind of noses are beautiful. i think someones lips dont have to be full to look pretty. i think fat people and skinny people and just all kinds of people are beautiful. acne scars and and skin markings of any kind are beautiful.

idk just all those things and imperfections even make people beautiful to me.

like i find diversity beautiful and its kinda sad that some people dont see it that way? not everyone is skinny and buff, not all women will have the perfect hourglass figure or full lips etc.

those body types are beautiful too of course but sometimes i feel like people should see beauty in other body types and features as well.

Breaking down my designs for the Main Bros

Hey, happy anniversary! Seven years ago today I published the very first chapter of Death's Castle! (and then a few years later I went back and rewrote it to better match my current skill level but LETS NOT WORRY ABOUT THAT-)

So in celebration of seven years, how about I actually talk about the design processes for the Bros and what's going on with their looks.

Quick note, since I already discussed many of the Bros' body types, I won't be rehashing that. We'll mainly be focusing on face, hair, and clothes. I will also be bringing up some of the old fandom artists that inspired me, but I once again ask that you please do not bother them as they have long moved on from this fandom (this does not apply to Jack or Zoe, they are my friends, go give them some love).

Stephano the Statue (+Janus)

Stephano is a statue, an artistic representation of idealized beauty, and thus is meant to be very handsome but in a way that makes him stick out from the rest of the castle. In a place where most everyone is pale and starving, Stephano's chiseled and healthy features can make him look uncanny. A quite literal case of "don't trust a pretty face."

One of his most notable features is his eyes, and specifically how little detail they actually have. In White Lily, Mayo notes that Stephano's eyes lack "deeper color" but have a metallic shine to them. In other words, his eyes appear flatter compared to others. Again, this is supposed to make him look more statue-like. I also tend to give him a more defined nose than others in my art, owing to his Arab heritage.

His long hair, often kept in a low ponytail, is borrowed from many pre-existing depictions of the character. I think we all just like the Finn the Human-type trope of a character who mostly keeps their hair covered but then it's revealed their hair is actually super long. And while most fan depictions made Stephano clean-shaven, in one of the videos he actually confirms that he has a beard, so I gave him a bit of a goatee.

As mentioned before, Stephano's outfit design was actually stolen and edited from the artist blackbeltkitten009 for their now discontinued comic The Stephano Chronicles. When I began Death's Castle, my goal was to create updated designs for the Bros, to provide a visual of the timeskip between the videos (where I tend to use design elements that were generally popular in the fandom at the time) and the fanfiction. However, Stephano is a bit difficult to make an updated design for because of all the Bros he has the most humanoid appearance in the videos, given that he's a statuette and actually has clothes. (An admittedly ironic statement, given that in Death's Castle proper his gold skin makes him unable to pass as fully human)

There were a couple elements that drew me to blackbeltkitten009's design in particular; for starters the design had a lot of drama to it without being over the top. There was one thing in particular that made me decide to use it though, and that was the ruby brooch.

In Death's Castle, Stephano shares his body with an entity he has named Janus, an element taken from the Disponentia custom story playthrough. When Janus is in control, Stephano's eyes glow red followed by everything gold on his body becoming pitch black. The ruby brooch acts as a bridge between these two forms. On Stephano, the red is a pop of color against his otherwise monochromatic design, with the color scheme adding a regal heroism to him, much like how Stephano would like to see himself. On Janus however, the red ties into his eyes and adds to the sinister appearance.

Is that a bit cheesy? Yes, but I was a teenager when I started this, give me a break.

Also as a sidenote, Janus' color scheme came from a misunderstanding. You see my first encounter with him was of someone's description of him. I didn't know which video "Evil Stephano" originated in, and for awhile I even believed he was something the fandom made up. Like Red Chair! But I must have misread "glowing eyes" as specifically glowing red eyes. However, when actually watching Disponentia it turns out his eyes are actually glowing white and his color is maybe a dark bronze. I like where the chips landed but if I began Death's Castle today, I probably would have made him closer to his appearance in the videos. But this would definitely call for a different Stephano design.

Piggeh the Pig

Piggeh's characterization was inspired by the scene and emo trends of the early 2010s. Not only the fun stuff which makes up his outward personality, but also some of the harsher realities that were going on in those subcultures.

One of the first decisions I made was to change his shirt color from pink to something else. For awhile it was going to be white since that was the only color I can think of that didn't clash with his color scheme, but didn't like it since I felt it would be too washed out on his pale skin. I ended up instead settling on a bright red (starting to notice a pattern?). This felt like a natural escalation of Piggeh's previous pink attire, as both are considered romantic/sexual colors. In fact Piggeh's color scheme is meant to evoke the typical garish valentine's day. The particular shade of red's gaudiness also says a lot about Piggeh; he doesn't put a lot of care into his appearance. On the other hand though, the red picks up on all of the eternally bloodied scars on Piggeh's body. Piggeh and blood are very well acquainted, and the tattered red shirt is a constant reminder of that fact.

The brown fishnet vest was another early design decision. Fishnets are often seen as provocative and are associated with adult entertainment, thus him having a vest made of the material is an easy shorthand for his sexual behavior without exposing too much skin. In fact early on the vest was hot pink, but I think someone pointed out how hard it was to see against the red so I changed it to dark brown.

The bandages on his arms are picked up from several pre-existing depictions of Piggeh such as StephanoTheStatue's and Mister-Chair's, but in Death's Castle they serve a plot purpose; hiding his self harm scars. Finally, the look is completed with brown jeans and a pair of work boots, calling back to his farm origins.

While most people tend to give Piggeh unnaturally colored eyes, most popular being pink to match his hair, I decided to give my depiction of Piggeh brown eyes like most real pigs tend to have. He also has snake-like pupils, owing to his famous line from the videos; "You thought I was a pig? Nah, I'm a snake!" One eye has a long scar over it in a somewhat diamond shape, but tends to curve in a way that can almost make it resemble a snake. His other eye, often kept hidden by his hair, is surrounded by a larger scar and blackened by hyphema, otherwise known as an 8 Ball Fracture. This was inspired by the character of 2D from the band Gorillaz.

His pink hair was originally shorter if just a bit messy, owing to the fact that I used to only be able to draw about two hairstyles for men. However when Jack ( @thesucessorofficalnot ) drew him, he gave Piggeh a longer and uneven cut more reminiscent of scene queen hairstyles, so I started using it myself.

Finally, one thing I want to mention is that Piggeh was designed to be very feminine looking, to the point he could easily pass as a woman. This started as sort of a joke because whenever I would show people in real life fan art of Piggeh they would consistently mistake him for a woman, likely due to his pink color scheme, so I just adopted it as a feature for him. His adoptive mother Bunny was even designed to look masculine as a compliment to his feminine design. This ended up being somewhat downplayed in the fic itself, as generally speaking the Bros aren't too concerned with how outwardly masculine or feminine someone is.

Oh and fun fact. Lately when I've drawn Piggeh or Fleur, I've drawn them with the same eye shape.

Mr. Green Chair

Appearance wise Mr. Chair doesn't veer too far off from the typical depictions. Short brown hair, light-skinned, wearing glasses and a green beret. He is often depicted as having either brown or green eyes, and I chose green to compliment his siblings' color themed naming, hence his first name being "Green" in the fanfic. One important factor regarding his appearance is that while most versions of Mr. Chair are presumably white, mine is biracial, and specifically Japanese. This is mainly to reference his appearances in the playthrough of Ao Oni, a game made and set in Japan.

Mr. Chair is similarly hard to redesign like Stephano, but for different reasons. Mr. Chair's design is pretty set in stone in the fandom, usually depicted in a green sweater vest or cardigan and a simple dress shirt. In general his look is very preppy, very academia. So how do I update that for a years later look?

Well admittedly I had already drawn up some designs based on basically a male version of Elizabeth's outfit from Bioshock Infinite. And we'll swing back around to Elizabeth later, but for now I basically had this lying around and slapped it on Mr. Chair. I simply changed the colors so that the blazer was his signature deep green, and the lining on his dress shirt was a reddish purple. There was originally no pattern on the shirt, but the amazing ZoeDraws did some awesome artwork of the Bros and on Mr. Chair they included a light grey vine/floral pattern so I have also adopted that in at least some of my art.

While on the surface the outfit is typical for a bookworm character, the rather bold combination of green and magenta is surprisingly flamboyant. My friend even comared him to a toxic frog. I think this acts as a bit of subtle foreshadowing to the more unsettling parts of Mr. Chair's character, such as his past drug use. It also shows a bit of his creativity, as presumably Mr. Chair made or altered these clothes himself, given his sewing skills.

And while not fully intentional, the outfit parallels Red Chair, who similarly wears a red and black blazer patterned like Pewdie's modern branding and a red hat. Perhaps Mr. Chair can't help but want to emulate his older brother?

Jennifer the Rock

Jennifer's look was solidified very early on due to the popular traits she was given in fan art. Long black hair, pale skin, gray eyes. The most important element of her design is that she is plus sized due to Pewdie constantly insulting the character for being fat. An unfortunate artifact of the time's humor that is explored more thoroughly and compassionately in Death's Castle proper.

While actually letting her be fat sounds like a no-brainer nowadays, this was not the case in the fandom back then. Most people tended to make Jennifer skinny, some even giving her an eating disorder of some sort to justify it. And the few who did make Jenny fat were tending to continue the joke from the videos. Now I don't say this to act all superior, frankly speaking Pewds put us in an awkward position, and I'm sure for a lot of the artists they didn't want to offend anyone or maybe it even hit too close to home for some.

However, it was important to me to actually give Jennifer the body type she was assigned to, and to not only show the struggles fat women are faced with, but that fat can be beautiful. Especially without being sexualized. (see my pride headcanons for more on that) It also provided a bit of a contrast to how we see fat today vs how fat was seen in the past.

Jennifer originally kept her hair down as seen in some of the past segments of Death's Castle, but by the present day her hair is worn in a ponytail. This was actually an element inspired by a doodle Punkichi did, depicting their Jennifer in an alternate hairstyle. I liked it, so I adopted it for mine. Her hair also covers one of her eyes to show her shyer and insecure personality. Finally, I used a popular accessory often given not to human Jennifer but to the rock version of Jennifer in non-gijinka fanart. A bow. Which also inspired me to make her an archer because I thought it was funny for her to have two different kinds of bows.

In an attempt to get back her memories through an orb shard, Jennifer falls into a trance and ends up severing her pinky finger. What may initially seem like a random injury actually holds a lot of meaning when Jennifer's past as Genevieve is taken into account. For starters, as a lady of high society, Genevieve had to have proper etiquette, and we all know the rule of sticking your pinky finger out when drinking tea. Cutting it off shows that Jennifer is no longer that proper girl. On a dourer note, the pinky finger is also associated with the pinky swear or pinky promise. Losing that finger in this sense symbolizes promises that were never fulfilled.

Each of the Bros had a signature color of sorts. Pewdie was blue, Stephano was gold/yellow, Piggeh was pink, and Mr. Chair was green. Jennifer on the other hand didn't really have a solid agreed upon color in the fandom that wasn't just gray. So it only made sense to make Jennifer's purple. This was for a few reasons. It was an appropriately feminine color to put on the one girl in the group without infringing on Piggeh and even Marzia's pink, it paired nicely with all the grays in her color scheme, it worked as an opposite against Stephano's yellow, and finally; purple was a color often associated with wealth and power.

Jennifer is a bit of an interesting case outfit wise since she initially starts with a different outfit, but quickly changes into a new one in the seventh chapter. This was mainly because I struggled with her costume design the most out of any of the Bros. I initially wanted to play with the idea of moss growing on a rock and paired this with a look meant to focus on her archery skill, but this design was rather ugly and uninspired- not to mention it used far too much green for a character who was supposed to be associated with purple, so it was retconned to instead be a simple gray tank top and black leggings.

I actually eventually took inspiration from Jack's version of Jenny. I designed a letterman jacket style gray hoodie with white sleeves that had purple morning glories and mint green vines embroidered on them. This was paired with a dusty purple t-shirt that had the brofist symbol on it and a pinkish purple pleated skirt that matched her signature hair bow. She kept the black leggings and gray boots from her previous design. This design ended up suiting Jenny more and setting the tone for her style, as it better fit her fangirl characterization from the original videos.

Interestingly, in both her concept design and her current one, Jennifer is the only one who actually wears her flower motif on her person. Perhaps in a way it shows that she's the most self-actualized of her group? Alternatively, it furthers her resemblance to Fleur, and shows how Stephano can't help but see the lady with the flowers in those around him.

Also I apologize to everyone I've ever confused by describing the mauve color of Jennifer's ribbon and skirt as VIOLET. I had a crayon that was apparently horribly mislabeled, so I associated a pinkish-purple color with the word violet.

Mayo the Small Table

Mayo is one of the most important characters in Death's Castle. His sudden reappearance after what the Bros were led to believe was a childhood death is what kicks the plot into action, and throughout the story acts as the deuteragonist since the story is just as much about him and how he grows up as much as it is about Stephano. During the videos he was only nine years old, which presented an interesting challenge for his Death's Castle design. While everyone else started as adults and were only getting a little older in comparison, Mayo went from a child to a young teenager.

Mayo's childhood design is rather typical for the fandom. Short blonde hair, gold or brown eyes, a light colored t-shirt, brown overalls and a matching cap. A cute if potentially rowdy kid. His teenage design shifts drastically, presenting a more mature- but still youthful- version of the character.

This is where we swing back to Elizabeth, as the Bioshock character influenced a lot of Mayo's characterization. Specifically, the motif of a bird caged for the mysterious use of those who trapped it. As such, I pretty much took elements of her first outfit and slapped them onto Mayo. The collared shirt, necktie, even his birdcage brooch is lifted from one of two pins Elizabeth wears on her choker. His color scheme is made up of white, soft browns, and pastel yellow, evoking innocence and light. You look at this version of Mayo and want to protect him.

However, that protection can be stifling to someone trying to grow, so Mayo undergoes a dramatic change later on. After his clothes get ruined by blood, he swaps out most of his outfit for a simpler get up of a white dress shirt and black slacks, and this is accompanied by a rather dramatic new piece. The coat that once belonged to Alexander himself.

This is where we finally acknowledge the recurring use of red. Each of the main Bros uses some shade of red in their designs. Sometimes this is more straightforward such as Stephano and Piggeh, other times it's more subtle such as Mr. Chair's magenta or Jennifer's accents of pink. This was for one big reason, PewDiePie himself. In his early days, Pewds was associated with the color blue. He even adopted a light blue color for his brofist icon. However, things have changed since then. Nowadays he uses red. This common color scheme also shows that the Bros are a more unified team than they once were.

But then there's Mayo, who initially looks quite out of place, and he is. They are essentially an outsider by now, unfamiliar with the greater workings of the Bro Army and having to catch up on the five years they were missing in action. The Bros' protectiveness over him also others him, puts him on a pedestal, and this even leads to Stephano and Mr. Chair electing to kick him out of the castle, thinking it would be best for him to grow up among humans. As such, when he returns in Alexander's coat, in the red shade the group has adopted, he is sending a clear message. He won't be pushed aside anymore. The red and gold color scheme also draws comparisons to Stephano in particular. Once again, the story is just as much about him as it is our favorite statue.

The red also ties into his flower motif, and the reveal that his "flower chapters" work differently than his adult companions. Since he is still so young, for all intents and purposes his backstory is still ongoing. He initially starts with a white lily, symbolizing innocence and death. This is a melancholic flower, reflecting the sad situation of a child having been robbed of his freedom by enemies and family alike. His motif then changes to a scarlet lily, represent passion and lofty aspirations. This is a Mayo who has been pushed to the edge and now refuses to be a passive player in his own life.

His hair has grown out from his childhood and is now kept in a short ponytail. This was an idea I lifted from AskMayo's version of the character, as it added more variety to the cast. This person was also where I got the idea of Mayo using daggers to fight. (Quick note, ages were not universally agreed on in the fandom. This person's Mayo is older and was often sexualized by the artist.)

Now, there is one more thing I want to bring up about Mayo's design that no one actually knew until now; Both of his costume designs are based off circus attire. His first outfit, along with being stolen from Bioshock, is meant to resemble an acrobat's costume, complimenting his flexibility and fighting style. He loses that in his second outfit, but it has a subtler connation. With the long red coat, Mayo looks like the stock ringleader.

Conclusions

While making this post, I talked with Jack and he pointed out something I hadn't really put into words until now. My approach to designing the characters was very theatrical. Since I went for more human designs overall, I had to rely on costuming and styling to get my points across. And honestly, given that I've been in theater my whole life, and it's shaped the way I tell stories, I find that very fitting.

I could go on about why I designed characters in certain ways. There are so many characters, and I put a lot of work into each of them. However, quite frankly I just don't have the time so I'll just leave it at this;

There was a time when I wasn't sure I would ever write this story, and it's crazy to realize that I've been doing it for seven years now. Some years were more plentiful than others, I mean we definitely had a slow start, but I can't believe how far I've gotten. We're nearing what I would consider the end of the first season, the characters have evolved so much and there's so much more waiting around the corner.

Y’all… me and my friend have a postwar ‘Allo ‘Allo AU that fixes all the things I didn’t like about Series 9 and/or the ending! It’s from mostly Herr Flick and Helga’s perspective

I feel that any of these characters, even if they didn't get along during the war entirely may have eventually, after some time, resolved stuff or talked things through and maybe put the past behind and turned new leaves xD cause me and the friend who is working on this AU with me discussed that they got a vibe not many people hold grudges on this show

Helga and Herr Flick (who still looks like Richard Gibson because that other thing doesn’t happen in my version of the canon) are married and have lots of kids (in place of Helga marrying Gruber and I made it so just like them they have six children). Still working out what their careers would look like postwar though, but I would imagine Herr Flick is a record keeper/data collector type person. Probably plays his violin on the side tho, maybe in a band. Not sure about Helga tho, but possibly also a secretary in some capacity too but we'll see

Gruber- fun gay uncle type figure to Flick and Helga’s kids, looks after them when they’re away, spoils them with gifts; is also still best friends with Helga and spends a lot of time with her for social outings.

He has a blooming artistic career and often sends Flick and Helga little doodles or paintings or other creations of his in the mail. He has definitely made a fortune off of the Fallen Madonna- but is it real or is it a forgery? Who knows, but he’s at least happy- and has donated some of the money he’s earned from it to his close friends and most notably Flick and Helga. Much like in Return of Allo Allo- he might be Mimi’s chauffeur on occasion? but is willing to take Helga for a spin with him in his car too! So chauffeur for them both if you will. Gruber has a boyfriend who is my friend’s OC, but he still misses René and crushes on him to this day.

von Smallhausen is a sort of grandpa figure to Flick and Helga’s kids. This obviously means, that he and Flick are on better terms and somehow, Flick changed his ways and attitude/treatment towards him, however that was, and started to be nicer to him. Seeing as he is much older than Flick, he doesn’t have a whole lot of time there but he is the fun grandpa for as long as it lasts. He tells dad jokes, does magic tricks, juggles items, lends the kids parts of his old disguises for little make believe things, and in general, plays games with them and builds little forts with them etc…. Flick will be very sad- even if stoically so- when he passes.

Hans Geering: still gotta develop this more but I feel like he would also be friends with all of these characters and visit them often! He would come see them on vacation on occasion, as he is fully committed to his thing going on with British Intelligence. I’m sure this extends way past the war lol

Imagine Helga, Herr Flick and von Smallhausen- and to some extent the other characters- are always telling stories to the kids of the incredibly silly wartime memories they have... and they even have favorite stories of theirs they like them telling over and over again! For example:

"Vati tell me all about the time you and grandpa Engelbert met a scary butler, an old witch, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Bride of Frankenstein, and a four armed footman in an abandoned chateau!"

"Hahahahaa that's so silly Vati, you got blown up because of a putty nose?"

"Uncle Hubert, you're telling me you saw the ghost of the cafe owner pop up out of his grave to forgive you?"

"How did you fit into that knight costume Vati? And walk in it even though you walk funny like that?"

"Mutti, did Vati really give you a dead fish instead of a rose?"

"Grandpa Engelbert is safe from large bells now, right?"

Why skip the meaty bits? I want that! I wanna know how they talked and how Teena helped Zouey calm down and get him home and how he shared his past with him and started believing him again. I want to know why Teena believed Zouey again after that.

That's the stuff I want in a messy show about sex and relationships and relationships with sex. It's the meaty bits.

It's not lines about how deeply artistic porn can be that are written so perfectly on the nose they could come right out of a Baby's First University Film Script. It's important to note how art is defined according to who creates it but like... way to hit the nail on the head until it was gone.

I want to see First coping with losing Soong with sex and then his friends laughing because he's hiding the depth of his hurt in people who don't care because he's afraid that the people who do care... won't and so proves himself right constantly.

I want to see Soong off fucking because love obviously isn't for him but also thinking about First and hating that he does because he's not supposed to do that.

There are just too many characters to give us the moments that matter to all of them and that means I care about very, very few of them.

The actors are damn good actors and I'm just a bit disappointed that the show isn't giving us emotional meat to go with the other types of meat they are serving.

This is what I think about when I think about museum dates

I fear that what will follow will be quite, how to say it, kinky or even perverse, but, unfortunately, this is all I could come up with. All things considered, I am not a creative person and I have no idea how to describe something that is indescribable in its, what word to use, its grandeur? Let’s use that. But, really, how do you describe veins made of marbles that appear fragile in their indestructibility. And, honestly, how are you not distracted by those veins? Like, I would much rather climb this giant of six metre and touch that perfection of a nose than stay here thinking whether ‘perfect’ is the right choice of an adjective. How can you describe a hand that could quite literally crush you if it happened to fall in the wrong way? A display of power that, if I may say so myself, is quite attractive, if attractive is the right word. I should check a dictionary, but, my dear, my mind is preoccupied with other thoughts at the moment. Like those legs. Honestly, I would date this statue. David, I am free on Monday evening, if you have no Goliaths to slay we could, I don’t know, discuss how powerful your thighs look, do you go to the gym? Refocus! It is a statue. And this is not what we are here for. So, the task is to consider how words can describe an image. Image that is a statue in this particular occurrence. What physical traits would the slenders would look for in a partner?

Thanks for the ask, anon! Physical traits, huh? This is a tough one but I'll give it a go.

Slenderman

Slenderman more than his brothers would appreciate someone of his kind the most; so technically the physical traits he would be looking for would be those of slenderbeings (tall, slender, featureless face, ect.).

I also headcanon him as being more attracted to the female form than the male one.

Within those constraints, however, he doesn't have too many preferences. He's open to a large variety of female slenderbeing bodytypes as what attracts him most to a partner is more how they act rather than how they look.

One thing I can see him preferring is a full face covering rather than a 'broken' one. (Basically a fully featureless face)

I can also see him being tetchy if he's the shorter one in the relationship, but he can often just adjust his height to be taller, so the issue doesn't usually come up.

Offenderman

Absolutely no preference.

What he appreciates most in a partner is their sexual prowess, and that can come in any body or form.

He'll be with with any cryptid of any race with absolute glee.

He knows what's considered 'conventionally attractive' for every cryptid race so he can compliment, charm, joke with or insult people but when it comes to partners it's not something he pays much attention to.

One thing he may admit to liking better is softer bodies without much in the way of spikes or claws as well as large busts and butts. But only because it opens up avenues for more sexual acts and less because he's inherently more attracted to it.

Trenderman

The hardest brother to pin down. I doubt he can even describe what physical traits he's attracted to. He'll probably say something like "It's not the traits individually, it's how they come together as a whole."

He's a bit like a eccentric artist. He'll find one muse to obsess over one day and then the next he finds another muse who looks completely different.

With him it's also a very thin line between "wow that person is attractive and I want to be with them" and 'wow that person is attractive and I want to turn them into a mannequin for my collection".

I think what attracts him most would be how 'put together' they look. He likes people that take care of their bodies and put in the extra work to look good in their own unique way.

He also finds rarer features catch his attention more often. Think things like vibrant hair colors, or maybe an aquiline nose or skin with vitiligo.

He doesn't really care for tattoos or implants.

Splendorman

Again, no preference.

Any type of body, any type of cryptid is a-ok in his books. He's only attracted to personality.

He does pay attention to expressions though. He finds people with kinder, softer expressions more attractive, easier to approach and easier develop a relationship with.

While being big, tall or burly is not a turn-off, he does have a soft spot for smaller beings. He thinks they're adorable.

Oh, physical touch for sure! Kurt's a very physically affectionate guy! Him and my S/I are always holding onto each other in some way shape or form. Oh my god where do I start I legit love everything about his appearance

Okay. I think. I'm just gonna say his face. Like. I can't pick just one aspect about his face, I love it all. His pretty golden eyes, his cheekbones, his nose, his lips??? And listen. I love the fact they didn't make him a "conventionally attractive" young guy. Like, I will say that yes, he is almost human looking, all you have to do is remove the goat ears & nose, and give him a human skin tone and that's all you gotta change to make him look human! But he is so cool looking! They could have made him a generically attractive guy, but they made him an older guy, gave him wrinkles too! And I LOVE it!!!

So many people don't like how he looks without the mask and ya know what? Anyone who thinks that is a COWARD. He's handsome as hell, and I like him better without the mask tbh, even if the armor is a good look!

However, some artists have drawn him with his mask off, but the rest of the armor on. And it makes me go insanely feral. Like. I cannot say the thoughts I have about that man when I see art like that because I might scare some of y'all JDFHFDIJG

Oh goodness, I've been too caught up thinking about Joce and D.raxum's pre-dating shenanigans so much I haven't really thought about what type of dates they'd go on. 😳

And to be honest, D.raxum doesn't seem like the type to go out on fancy dates lol.

BUT WAIT ACTUALLY-

Okay, so it may not count as a "date" since it happens before they start dating, but it's the "Something There" moment where they both realize "Oh, this isn't a crush. I'm in love."

Joce and D.raxum get dragged to a day at Albertoland by April, the turtles, and one of my friend's S/Is!

And they're pretty much just trying to make sure none of the teens get into trouble, and Mikey wanted D.raxum to come out and have some bonding time with everyone.

And Joce and D.raxum get mistaken for a couple. Multiple times.

But also, it's where Joce starts to see D.raxum CAN be a good guy. He's a little awkward the whole time, not really knowing how to carry himself around other humans. He just got used to Joce, April, and my friend's S/I after all!

But him and Joce end up on their own while the teens go on some rides. Joce doesn't really trust carnival rides, it's a weird hang up she has, so she sticks back with D.raxum and the two bond some more. And in that moment, they both realize how much they fully enjoy each other's company. And man. Has the other always been so attractive?

I still gotta write out more details, but this is basically it! It's such a fun thing I have planned for them hehe.

“What if they lick me?”

“Then ya lick them back. Simple.” He couldn’t believe what his mother was saying. Soon, a rather large Pokémon approached, carefully fixing the glasses on her nose.

“Ah, you must be the new student, Felix. Welcome to Sunstone Class. My name is Miss Read. I’m so happy to see you joining our school and I hope you have yourself a great time. Feel free to go to one of the many activity stations we have set up. There are plenty of fun opportunities to await you.” Felix looked back at his mother, his eyes desperately pleading for her to take him with her. She began to float away, giving a simple wave.

Shoot. He was stuck here. No where to go. “What would you like to play with? We have a construction corner filled with bricks if you’re interested in that. Or perhaps you’re the artist type? Our creative station may help to satisfy the artist inside of you.” Urgh, his teacher was so annoying.

Guess he’d have to pick one of the stupid activities. He looked around, scanning what Pokémon he could see in each corner and then noticed a crowd of Pokémon gathering around something. Curious. He began to float over. The closer he got, the closer he could make out a voice.

“I know, I know. You must all think I’m the bestest ever. Everyone can look at my new crown but nobody can touch. Not even you, Dust. Perhaps I’ll pick someone to wear it.” Felix floated above the crowd to see what the commotion was about. In the centre stood a small Absol holding up what appeared to be a small, silver crown, looking incredibly proud of himself. The Absol looked in Felix’s direction as soon as he saw the gastly float up and informed the crowd to part. He walked with a confidence Felix had never seen in anyone before. The absol stood in front of him, eyes scanning him carefully. Was this Absol gonna cause trouble?

“You know, I’ve never seen a gastly with blue ghost stuff before. Why are you like that?” Oh great, another Pokémon asking about his blue gas. Felix angry stared at the Absol.

“What’s it to ya?” The other children gasped. What was all that about? The Absol gave him another look. He then began to smile.

“I like you. You seem tough. I think I’m gonna make you be my friend.” Oh great, a weirdo who makes friends with everyone. Gross.

“No way. I ain’t bein’ friends with anyone in this loser school. You’re all stupid.” More gasps. Why were they all doing that? It was making Felix angrier and angrier. The Absol began to laugh.

“Someone doesn’t know who I am.” He moved incredibly close to Felix’s face, giving a smug grin. “I’m Prince Oscuri. I’m gonna be the ruler of the Underdark someday. Now when I say we’re gonna be friend, I mean we’re gonna be friends.”

Oh shoot. That’s the Prince of the Underdark. He had just insulted the Prince of the Underdark. What an interesting start to the school day.

the small parlor on the corner stood out a little more than it should have, but touya loved it. 

he ran it all on his own, and when he met you and introduced you to it, his eyes awaited your reaction like a child showing their mother their art.

this shop was a monument for ink-loving, rock-loving, cigarette-smoking freaks, just like him, just like you.

at the end of the day, he’d finish up his last client and the routine was the same. you’d help him clean up then sit curled up on the couch and sketch all night before losing track of time and going home at 3am. 

he slips the gloves off his hands, throwing them into the bin after finishing up his last customer of the night. he gives you a boyish grin, sitting down beside you. he presses a kiss behind your ear, the cold metal of his snake bites pressing against your skin.

“i made good cash, i just did a couple of small tats today. still, great money.”

his eyes had a sort of glimmer, one he'd only had when he was up to no good. “touya, what?” 

he scoots up, shrugging his shoulders. “nothin, nothin. i was just wondering if you wanted to you know. get some ink in ya.” 

touya loved giving you tattoos. you weren't littered like him, you were his empty canvas. he’d given you your first and second, small simple ones that had meaning, but to offer you at a random time with no idea what you could permanently put on your body was different of him.

you should have expected it, getting with an eyeliner-wearing, pierced, tattoo artist. shit. you couldn't help but fall for those metalled-up lips.

“come onn. please? i saw the way you were staring at the customers today, you must have been thinkin' about it.” he ran his fingers down your arm, the platnuim of his rings turning your skin up in goosebumps. 

so convincing. he had pleading eyes, but you know in his mind how many ideas he has. “fine, but like, what?” his pout turns into a grin, and he sits up to reach his book full of sketches, pulling you to his chest.

“soo, i may or may not have sketched somethin out for you, but it's meant for a certain place.” when your eyes go to the small body sketch, and the ribcage is circled, you think he must be crazy. you can't help but laugh. “get that shit away from me.” 

like a child, he shuts the book and whines. “pleaseee”

“you must be out of your mind to want to tattoo my ribcage touya, i was struggling with the knee.” he stands from the couch, his hand lifting at his loosely fitted tank to reveal his tattooed ribs, which he was extremely egotistical about. “you see these babies here? i almost love them as much as i love you. and what i want to do with you is a more modern-day type style, do you know how purposely splotchy 2000s I did this?”

you knew you had a medium tolerance for the needle, but it was a little beyond what you expected.

he leans down and runs his thumb over your cheek. his eyes moving to each one of the piercings in your ears, nose, brow, and lip, he knew his girl had it in her.

“c’mon babe, have a little fun. we’ll smoke, have a little chitchat, and you won't even feel it.” he so loved that you were just like him, into the same things as him. he couldn't just let that go to waste.

before you know it, you are lying on the tattoo bed. he slips on the latex over his hands, scooting on his little rollie chair towards the side of where you lay. “my poor baby.” he wipes the antiseptic over your ribs with the smugest smirk known to man.  you could almost be mad at his cocky remarks, but getting lost in him is the only thing that keeps you going.

"you'll be fine, you're gonna love it."

when your eyes lose focus and find themselves stuck on his inked-up arms, or the chain hanging down his favorite pair of baggy pants. your almost too glad he's giving you the tattoo. plus the cigarette he's passing back and forth between the two of you is also a great help.

“you can like, dig your fingernails into me if you need to, i whined like a baby just a little too. plus, who the hell doesn't want a pretty face diggin' into them.” he places a soft kiss on your lips. his fingertips gently pressing on your skin. the gun starts buzzing the needle drives into your nerve endings like a bitch.

 “oh, you're a dick touya.” 

"heh, my names pretty comin' out of your mouth sweets." he doesn't look up, just his egotistical smirk sitting on his concentrated face.

 his eyes looked up to yours for a moment, sweetly, but having a picture stabbed into your ribs wasn't exactly making you blush either.

the buzzing of the tattoo gun in his hand was the only thing you could focus on, and the little heart touya let you tattoo onto his ring finger. a couple months back. "your alright, just keep breathing slow, and pass me the cigarette"

"i think i need it more." you protest.

"no you dont" his hand comes up and pulls the bud from between your fingers, placing it between his lips.

you found comfort in the shop, it was familiar, and you tapped your fingers to songs of the bands he had up on the walls.

“we're literally like badass grudge bitches, i feel like i'm taking this like a pro.” breathing was excruciating, but talking nonsense could also take your mind off it a little more. 

“that’s the spirit. your doin' so good, so proud.”

after an hour and a half, he carefully wraps your skin and treats you with a kiss once you sit up.

“not gonna pass out now that you sit up, are you? need apple juice?” he speaks to you like your a whiny child after a shot offering you a lollipop.

“im good, are you?”

he shrugs, showing off his scratched-up bicep to you like a prize. “you're not too bad of an artist either babe”

“oh shut up jackass.” you sit up off the seat and stand in front of the body-length mirror. rolling up your top, you admire the work. he really was gifted with his hands.

he steps up behind you, pulling the gloves from his hands with his teeth before tossing them aside.

in the lightly illuminated room, his face is dark in the mirror. his chin sets on your shoulder and his teeth nibble at the lobe of your ear. “pretty dark tattoo for such a pretty girl like you. you like?”

you really did like it, it sat well with your style, and suddenly the drive for more filled your blood.

 “i think it's really fuckin cool.”

his hand wraps the side of your hip, the hand that in cursive wrote out your name.

the cool metal from his brow sets onto your neck. “atta girl, now dont get addicted.”

Am a doppu, but sometimes I don't get why we need to take everything nd discussed like giving others attention, especially when thats what they want.... I knw some tyongfs are intended to do make dy lose, coz they hate him... So what.... Let them be... It's not like u can force them to like him or make them vote for him.... Even so doyoung is winning step by step which am very gald abt.... He knows what to do to be a successful idol nd am very proud of him. Nd exactly he knows what's going on in the famdome nd who likes him nd not..... But why everytime some of us doopu wants to act like everyone is taking advantage of him, like if we don't fight for him no one would?... My question is yes I knw u gets angry, since u stan nct it's a great opportunity to make dy win, by voting him nd u gets angry it's normal... But y, this has been going on alot, so we can just ignore them... Let them do whatvr they want coz it won't affect dy in anyway.... So what's the big deal?.. Both doyoung nd taeyong and other membrs too has to sacrifice a lot for their group, not like anyone had a prince treatment, but why we sticking our nose into this nd making prblmes within the fandom?... Every member has this kind of fans. The important fans are not them (they will always do mayhem, idols are just tools for them to work through their anger or other negative emotions), but those who follow what they see around them, copy others. This wavering majority needs to be shown an alternative example. A fandom needs a culture. Back in the day there were moderators on forums, so it was easier to weed out bad seeds. It is harder with modern type of socmed, but still possible. Just the task lies not on a few people, but on all normally-thinking fans.

Throwing poo and screaming at each other is easy, it is what we got from our monkey ancestors. To become human one needs to be taught manners, dignity, sympathy, critical thinking, etc, etc. No interaction with the stupid (ban), promoting those (likes, retwits) who say or do something of value, dispell lies with truth and proofs without going emotional and personal oneself. Attacking in return, especially by dragging down the OP's biases, will only worsen the situation, not help.

I actually do see positive examples sometimes? People learn themselves after several years in k-pop, I guess.

Honesly, we underestimate how much fans' behaviour reflects on the bias. I legit don't want to check out BTS guys' solos because Army are so irritating. And the boys did nothing to me personally. And might even have to say something with their albums, I won't know untill I will listen to them. I just don't want to give them a chance. On the other hand, I gave a chance to many SM artists after a couple of years of persuasion (because of all the cross-pollination and SM family), and even changed my opinion for the better about some (like Kai and Leetuk).
