feral merman gutting a fish, i sculpted him two years ago but was unable to finish because he melted (my room can reach over 100 degrees in the heat of summer). only unfinished parts were the hands, fish, and the rock he’s sitting on (wanted to add reeds and coral and other details). despite him not surviving he’s one of my proudest creations ever, i’m so glad i got these photos before he collapsed into a sad slump of slime and wire

#my art #sculpture #merman #not atla #trypophobia #trypo cw #(for the tail)#he’s an au of my oc-#misha kayne #monster clay #i just love his design lol #u can’t really see it but he has like. gaping gills on his neck #and his big tail fin is attached at the bottom and all torn #*back fin #the idea was he was cast out of his mermaid crew when he was little and has been struggling to survive away from them #going up to the surface which they typically don’t do ofc #unless they’re desperate like he is #where he gets spotted and caught by humans #and then kept in a big aquarium #which ends up giving him severe depression because even a big aquarium is nothing like the kind of territory he needs #my boy!!#as he gets older his tail gets so loooong #love long mermaid tails #he’s like an eel shark thing more than just half fish #deep sea weirdness haha #also he doesn’t speak any known human language so. they can’t use him to find the other mermaids🧜🏻‍♂️#plus they determine he’s unable to survive in the wild #but i love romance so he ends up being gay for one of the researchers #ofc☺️

I actually love how ugly Merlin's outfit is in Merlin. BEFORE YOU YELL AT ME - I love his outfit, I think it's fun, but when you look at every other character, even other peasants, he literally is wearing ill fitting rags. Everything is too big on him (despite being like six foot but whatever) and his silhouette reeks of boring character design.

But like!! Yeah!! He is just Some Guy. I love how they never give him som epic mage robes or a cool outfit for more than thirty seconds. He is unassuming. He's over here, commanding dragons and controlling the weather in the medieval equivalent of stained sweatpants and a night shirt. It's great.

#mine #merlin #bbc merlin #i came to the realization #that his outfit is quite lame #because whenever i try to find cool edits of Merlin #the coolest looking ones are the ones with the least anount of Merlin in them lol #visually #he is a wreck #like the knights get cool armor and capes #the girls all get like forty gorgeous outfits #the other magic users get fun robes #the other peasants wear a lot less layers #which makes their character design make a bit more sense #and it gives a good silhouette of the baggy clothes and the arms sticking out #and the grime on their face #Merlin is just like hello it is me I have a jacket #the sickest thing about this guys drip is his scarf and his socks #like it's no wonder more cartoony style fan artists tend to change an element or two of his outfit #i love him #but he looks lame #i think he looks wonderful but we are all BIASED #WE ALREADY LOVE THIS GUY

MYSTERION!!! just another different flavor of kenny #are you sick of seeing me draw him yet #anyways. i made the poncho follow the shape of an M to recreate the M on his original design on his chest #but i also have green lines on his undershirt that travel up his arms and onto his chest to recreate the shape of an M #if the hood were to ever be ripped off #gave him the sort of police utility belts because he was close to the police in his first episode #and also just because theyre cool lol #ALSO I STOLE THE SPRAY PAINTED QUESTION MARK ON HIS HOOD i really like how it looks i think it was vicchaosz here on tumblr who inspired me #made the poncho ragged because. yknow. he dies a lot. that thing is not gonna walk away in tip top shape.#kept most of the colors the same with only a few changes like his boots and his underpants (which i changed to shorts)#OH AND MY FAVORITE HAPPY ACCIDENT!!! the underside of his hood was too dark in contrast to his shorts so i added some lilac to lighten it u #and it ended up looking like when mysterion goes into his ghost form in the game AND ITS JUST. UGH.
