first of all i love the braid. this book is the only time shes had it (so far...) but ive completely incorporated it into how i picture her in my head. i think its such a good look for her even though i cant figure out what its doing half the time

the costume itself isnt very interesting in this story but i can forgive that because her costumes are rarely interesting

i dont think its a bad costume but its just not a very good one. go girl give us nothing! but it still looks good on her so i love this art

anyways. i loooove how shes drawn out of costume <3 i actually dont know if spokes drew these panels just because it looks so different than the others but no one else is credited so i have to assume its still him

if im being honest i think they could tweak this look and make it her actual costume (i want her to have the sort of costume sort of casual look) because it has a lot of good elements that could work + the shirt underneath is pretty close the her costume in tt03 and ds16. the second best time to give her a new costume is now. the best time was 2005. but thats not the point. the point is i think shes drawn so nice in these panels and i love the way she looks here <333

THISSSS ive been wanting to delve into the boys being dads and dealing with pregnancy but ive nvr done it before nor have i read much in terms of tht.

for the boys most likely to be very protective.. spoiling u a lot… i think we know the obvious answer. rob. and in other terms, nikolai. those two are definitely the most territorial of the boys and charlie is just under them. all three would actually be completely overjoyed, but also violently protective. rob wld refuse to leave on any work trips longer than maybe a few days, nikolai wld be by ur side constantly, and charlie trusts u enough for him to be away for work during the day but once he’s home he’s all over u glued to ur side to do anything u need. even in the early stages of pregnancy, nikolai especially is very territorial. keeps u behind him, hand on u at all times, keeps u marked as his, growls at any others who get too close to u. some feral vampire thing. rob constantly babies u. always massaging ur sore muscles, rubbing ur feet, he takes over the cooking and cleaning even when u tell him he doesn’t have to. charlie does the same, fusses and snaps at u to stay down, sit, stop getting up, ask for things, but he does it all with love even if he sounds kinda angry.

also, speaking of charlie. i think if it were in the early stages of ur relationship he’d be scared at first. he didn’t have anyone to care deeply abt before, so the thought of smth so intimate happening, u carrying his child, has him a bit terrified, and he doesn’t necessarily run but he does pull back a bit, is more snappy, stays at work longer, he’s smoking more often, until u just end up breaking down bc u think oh god he doesn’t love u anymore he regrets it. but once that happens he snaps out of that headspace and completely switches up, confesses his genuine undying love for u as he had before, reassures u that this is really what he wants, he was scared. it takes a lot for him to admit that. babies u, does everything the others do in the end.

i think simon wld actually run. if we’re talking in the midst of brendan stuff, he’d easily shut down his brain and just disappear. completely go ghost on u and u just have no idea what happened. u worry that he’s dead or smth, yk? but after a couple months he comes back, completely broken as a man, tired and wanting to just live his life again free of this mess. (i fesr all the boys would eventually be sweet, caring, rub ur sore muscles, cook meals for u, look up things that can help, all of em. some just lean more some ways.)

ernst wld just looove to start a family. i think he’s such a girl dad. he’d cry like a baby when u tell him. wld be so attentive to ur every need, wld know a lot of different remedies and things to make u feel better bc he researches everything easily, remembering little details abt what u like. same with father anthony. ugh just looooves to be a dad.

depending on where we’re at in lukes story is how he’ll react. if it’s earlier in his career, before his eye injury, he’d probably be pretty fucking terrified. i don’t know if he’d go as far as to ghost u bc i mean .. u know where he lives. u know his game and practice schedule. so. can’t rly do that even if he wanted to. but he’d be a bit distant, more harsh, more anxious around u. he’s absolutely terrified of passing on his condition, terrified of ruining someones life, and he doesnt rly know how to like … love smth like that. he’s still got his own issues w u, how’s he supposed to raise a kid? but, it gets worked through. similar to charlie, u either end up breaking down or just straight up snapping on him. gets his head outta his ass real quick. if it’s a bit later after he’s retired, recovered from surgery, adjusted to his new life, he’s thrilled beyond belief. granted, if it’s too soon after everything happened and he’s dealing with everything he’ll probably panic a little but then just sob bc he loves u so much and he wants a family so bad no matter how scared he had been

now seb.. it’s kinda same how w luke, it depends on where ur at in his life. early on if he’s still dealing with severe issues, bad anxiety, his bipolar and anger problems, i mean, he’s just a mess. walks right out and u don’t hear from him for a few days. it takes a long time probably to get everything straightened around again .. and get him into some therapy and on some medication. but, again like luke, if it’s a bit later on after he’s opened up abt his issues, after he’s accepted help and has slowly learnt to cope, regulate his emotions, found some meds that work for him, i mean.. tbh i think he’d be pretty damn happy. i think he’s such a girl dad too. wld probably take a little while to like … remember everything u need help with.. and by god are ur mood swings throwing him for a loop. often jokes ‘is this how i was?’

My Experience at the Pittsburgh Ritual

Gonna go ahead and put this under a read more as it might get long...

Who am I kidding its gonna be long as fuck.

I'll go ahead and do this song by song to keep it...somewhat organized lmao

After the opening band (which they did fantastic!! Just not everyone's cup of tea. And that's okay!! The singer did make the microphone peak a few times, (it surprised me a few times) and they went on like...10 minutes early and ended early too, I'm not sure why they went on early?) the wonderful stage crew of Sleep Token worked to get the stage torn down and set back up for the boys.

There was one stage hand that brought out "The Mic Stand" and EVERYONE went wild and he just stood there, holding the stand for a good few seconds before walking off. It was hilarious.

I heard Sam testing out II's drums. You go Sam, pop off king.

More stage hands, more running wires. I applaud the stage hands, it was efficient, quick, a well oiled machine.

The Night Goes Not Belong to God

Vessel steps onto stage first, applause, cheers, screams. He sings the first few lines. The Girls. The wonderful and beautiful Espera. Then II and his wonderful drums. Then IV came out...

Then III runs out of his side like a bat out of hell and POINTS at the crowd. Goddamn III was on his chaotic SHIT that night I swear to god.

The entire crowd was ready to sing along the entire time, it was beautiful.

The Offering

Vessel was so dancey the entire night and this song just solidifed how dancey pants mcgee he was gonna be.

II was vibing in the beginning, feeling the music, ya love to see it. I remember him stretching his arms out, its was adorable.

III was feeling the night the ENTIRE night, everytime I was able to see him, he was bent over just bobbing to the beat. Like, III you good?

Vessel's growl was FANTASTIC here and he went "OH, OH". Like Vessel PLEASE. He danced more, of course.

Dark Signs

I could really only see II, Vessel and IV from my seat for most of the song. Where I was seated it was soooo hard for me to see Espera I was so sad, I really wanted a good view of the girls but light fixtures blocked my view. I was vibing pretty hard though.

Higher

I feel like this was one of the songs where the crowd sung along super loud with Vessel. There were a few songs that the crowd just shouted along with him. I looooved the lighting they use for Higher.

II looked like he was having the time of his life on his platform. "Look guys I'm finally taller than you"

III also still doing his yoga routine of bending in half at the waist (as he had been doing all set)

Vessel scream/growling "The debt that I owe" and the entire crowd screaming it back to him at the same time. Chills.

Cue the first song of me trying not to cry. It was beautiful as it always is. Espera's backups???? GOD SO GOOD. I'm also GUSHING OVER THE LIIIIIGHTS. The lasers had me geeking as an old stage hand. And the boys had a little jam session on the middle platform. It was so cute. 😊

II was VIBING HARDCORE, truly feeling the music on his platform. So was IV. Gosh they love that song.

Hypnosis

Another song the crowd just BELTED along with Vessel. Another song with dancey pants Vessel. This song was so so fun. Watching Vessel just dance his way across the stage just made me giggle. He hit some high ass notes too!! The crowd was waving their arms for the boys, feeling the vibes.

Vessel's little arm raise towards the end too? Gooooood. Immaculate.

Time for III to bother II.mp3

III is on II's platform. He had his arm around II, I saw that much from my seat, then I remember II put his arm around III and with a drumstick in his hand shake his hand on the beat of Vessel singing "Do you like that?" III got off the platform after that.

Alkaline

Steppy steppy Vessel time. It was a weird thing to see from the side angle I had, but I got the gist lol. II was swaying side to side on his platform.

Another song the crowd just fucking shouted out along with Vessel. I swear sometimes I could hear the crowd more than I could hear Espera!!!!

Vessel did seem to enjoy it though as he did do a bit of ad-libbing if you can call it that? Added some things to enhance the song.

Missing Limbs

PROJEKT ATLANTIC SONG! WE LIT UP THAT STADIUM!!!!!

So many lights, it almost completely lit up the entire place! It was so pretty!! It wasn't all pink, but it was pretty close!

Chokehold

So I neglected to say this in earlier songs, but there was a pit in almost every song that a pit would be warranted. Chokehold had a pretty decent pit. This was the song where I gave up sitting down in my chair and stood the fuck up. I was in the nosebleeds and was a bit nervous of the height but WHATEVER.

The seating right next to me also had one guy who was like motioning for everyone in his section to stand and they did so that entire section stood and I was like...YEAH IMMA DO THAT TOO

ANYWAY!! Vessel hit some fucking high notes and we got dancey pants Vessel back. He was so dancey towards the end. Gotta get those ants out his pants.

When the chorus of Chokehold came on, it was another of the parts where the crowd just BELTED it along with Vessel and I swear Vessel got quieter just to hear the crowd. If that's true, that's so sweet of him. He also hung onto the note at the end like COME ON MAAAAAAN.

The Summoning

Again, time for crowd sing along!!!

The whole crowd went INSANE when he growled. It was WILD.

Vessel went to go bother IV when it was time for his solo. I couldn't quite see what he did, but I'm sure it was amazing. ;u;

The interlude extended to hear Vessel's piano and II's DRUMS. HE GOT HIS OWN SOLO!! LIKE HOOOOOLY SHIT!!!!! II IS SUCH A GODDAMN GOD.

The second part? The crowd? Singing along? Look. I know not everyone enjoys hearing the crowd singing along with the boys, I've seen the discourse. But it was so so cool to be a part of it, to hear it. To see the boys FEEDING OFF of the energy of the crowd and getting even MORE energized from it.

That's just my two cents, though.

Ascensionism

Vessel starts to break down here. Which almost makes me break down. There's a full recording of the Pittsburgh ritual where it's a little hard to hear the hitches in his voice, but in person you could hear he had more breathlessness, more hitches...he was starting to get super emotional.

He was really feeling the story he was telling throughout this entire set list.

When he says the final "Diamonds in the trees, pentagrams in the night sky", the entire crowd SHOUTED it back to him.

Same with "You make me wish I could disappear" the crowd was right along with him.

Take Me Back to Eden

They added bird calls and I think even very quiet running water sounds to this, such a nice touch. The lighting again, so good, such great atmosphere. GOD I CANT GUSH ANYMORE ABOUT THE LIGHTING, THE COLORS, THE WAY THE LASERS ARE, THE WAY THEY AFFECTED THE FOG LIKE HOLY SHIT

God the ad lib vocals from Vessel were so so good...I was so blessed to hear them in person.

The crowd was rapping along with Vessel and when III was commanding the crowd when that happened, walking across the stage swinging his arm like, III, what are you doing you silly man.

Vessel also started crying a bit during this...his voice broke a bit and I'm just like...my baby.

And of course, the crowd just joins in with Vessel, showing him that he is loved, we all love him. c:

A night that I will always remember. Even if just in fragments and through pictures I have taken and through videos others have recorded.

Truly, the night belonged to us, Pittsburgh. It was an honor, a privilege, and a once in a lifetime experience to see the entirety of Sleep Token. The boys, Vessel, II, III, IV. The Girls, Espera. Their wonderful, hardworking backstage crew. All of them did so well.

I hope to see them again in this lifetime.

ANOTHER BACKGROUND PONY THAT I FELL INLOVE WITH..... again, all the fanart of her is what rlly rlly pulled me in to her character... i LOOOOVE her so freaking MUCH!!!!! i love her energy and that she's a dj she fits her talent so perfectlyyyyy GRAHHH i also LOVE her sunglasses thats one thing design-wise that drew me in too.. characters w/ sunglasses my beloved ❤❤❤ 🌙PRINCESS LUNA... i feel like she's another thats kinda obvious for like why she'd be a fav, like fluttershy, i rlly rlly latched onto her as a kid and that love has never rlly died down!!! i rlly struggled w/ my mental health as a kid and seeing luna's struggles (even if it wasnt anything ground breaking lol) made me feel less alone n i could rlly relate to her for that!! plus pony that can make it night time??? thats fucking awesome i love the moon and stars HELLO??? luna's softer like more introverted personality also just made me rlly connect w/ her so she's always been up there in my favs 🎆TEMPEST SHADOW... WHERE DO I EVEN BEGINNN W/ TEMPEST OH MY GODDD i am SUCH a hardcore fan of hers i absolutely LOVE her characterization, her backstory goes hard, her design goes evener HARDER, like im fr so obsessed w/ her i LOOVE the song she sings in the movie n i just love how they made her go from this pony who felt so badly hurt and betrayed by her friends that it made her lose faith to learning that its ok move on and heal and like let herself form relationships again after so long of dwelling on the past like THAT GOES HARD!!!! FINISHED READING CHRISTINE HERE IS MY REVIEW!!!!! 🚘❤️

pros:

* the kills in this were FANTASTIQUE. the final showdown especially and i am notorious for always tuning out during a final showdown. i loooove how relentless christine is and how she keeps regenerating it’s so much fun to read

* the way arnie and christine r high key In Love with each other is so good and camp. obsessed w the way he sweet talks her when he’s fixing her up or starting the engine

* love love love dennis and arnie’s love for each other. i find relationships where they set out to Protect one another (exhibit a the losers club) so endearing and dennis’ loyalty to the very end is SWEET. did indeed shed a tear over the ant farm passage

* further to that i will say this is the gayest king novel ive read yet lol

* arnie is such a tragic character. the repetition of the idea that he’s just a loser and just Needed something to survive (which just so happened to be christine) is fucking heartbreaking. loved his slow descent

* so many good eerie details w the car….the smell of rot, the way she always flips back to the oldies channel, the way her handles feel like warm skin. although i have some issues with the roland d lebay of it all i did also find the image of Decomposing Zombie Driving Car really fun

* i love the time that was given to the issues in the cunningham house and how christinegate bled out to effect all of them. like amongst all the crazy corky car murder i really enjoyed just watching regina and michael struggling to cope w their perfect son deciding he’s not going to college. king is so good at that (thinking of herb and vera in the dead zone my beloved)

* the metaphor i kind of got from it all was to do w childhood best friends growing apart and losing each other and as u can probably guess. broke me

* I LOVED BUDDY REPPERTON…

cons:

* starting this book in dennis pov really put me off. i don’t love 1st person generally but this was also just so….especially dude-y. listening to dennis rant on about how girls’ll never understand the pain of whacking ur balls and the Epic Highs And Lows Of Navigating The High School Hierarchy was just like. straight up annoying

* listen. i have read a lot of early king now i am not trying to retrospectively cancel a 1980s book and know that this comes w the territory. however. the misogyny in this one was almost too much to an uncomfortable degree. again going back to how this is a very DudeCore novel in parts

* she’s only a small part but the way elaine guilder was written was so insanely groanworthy. every single FREAKING line about this freshly 15yo girl is about her Just Budding Breasts and how hyper aware of them her big brother is

* similar issues w leigh. her character truly does not go beyond love interest beautiful girl to me. in general these are all definitely some of king’s weaker characters but leigh especially

* i mentioned it above but i didn’t really like how christine is kind of her own entity but the ghost(?) of lebay is also what’s animating her??? some of the Lore around him was very fun and creepy but i would’ve preferred christine to just be the big bad

TLDR:

in general this took a while to grow on me but grow on me it sure the fuck did. like this book is like my beautiful daughter that i kind of hate a little bit. it’s kidnapping and torturing me but i’ve got an intense case of stockholm syndrome and have fallen in love. super fucking excited to watch the movie

This account is so surreal to me because you seem so similar to myself and i've never seen anyone who liked Electro (like, very passionately the way I do.) He was always my favorite villain since I was a little kid but the PS4 version of him is what kicked off my insanity to the level it is now and I've been insane since 2018, collecting stuff of him like comics and figures and trading cards.

I have a TikTok account dedicated to my special interest (..electro) and A LOT OF PEOPLE tell me it's weird and I kinda get teased so seeing another person who loves him in the comics (616) and game so much has blown my mind and I'm really happy to see it I can't lie.

ive also always loved electro as a kid (knew him through the ultimate spider-man tv series) and got the ps4 game in 2018 and thought nothing much (i did very much like him though) but after replaying it in late 2020 something clicked in me😭😭 hes just so silly and stupidly evil and gay and i guess underappreciated … lots of people love tssm and tasm which i do understand but guys… ps4… 616 comics… for some reason theyre hidden gems… I mean i guess i understand since electro is by far not as fleshed out of a character as so many others but hey… theres some good comics of him like the light the night trilogy (sm 1990 #38–40) or asm 1963 #422 which i loooove that definitely help understand his character more.. sighhh
