Can I ask about your Kuina theory? Youve mentioned it once or twice but I havent seen it laid out in full
I have it laid out better in a post I'll have to find, and be warned there's lots of speculation but it's a theory for a reason(one i will die by) but basically I think she was killed by order of the 5 elders. The dawn and joy boys return was prophesied even before oden, when the kozuki clan made the poneglyphs and told zou to hide theirs until the "dawn"(meaning the prophecy of joy boys return(Luffy))
Anyways... ryuma as zoros ancestor, was a very famous and revered swordsman and dubbed a king to the ppl of wano. His existence is so important to them that hiyori gave Zoro the one precious momento she had from Oden in order to get shusui back. So ryuma holds a lot of importance in the world. And then them touching on ushimaru being locked up by kaido (seems like there was somewhat of an orchestrated suppression of the samurai)(also that odas making a point to tie in the shimotsukis)..
Lol gosh I know I explained this better in my other post but... okay, kuina is a shimotsuki. If this prophecy mentioned "great swordsman that is a descendant of ryuma shimotsuki" then, in the worst gen, if the World gov was trying to track these prophesized individuals down, then, observing kuina, with the last name shimotsuki, being an incredible swordsman with natural talent, they'd target her. I have a lot of speculation around this bc it seemed her father discouraging her swordsmanship mightve been a way to protect her from following this "fate" and being targeted. Also it'd make sense that Zoro wasn't targeted bc his parents are dead and he has no attachment to the shimotsuki name anymore and also? He's losing to this girl. So to them, It's obviously this girl who was prophesized, right? Her dad's energy throughout the whole thing was weird to me too. Somber and somewhat angry?
I feel it even more given, the only others who were specifically attacked &targeted by the military were Robin and Franky. Robin who has connections w the poneglyphs, Franky who has connections with Pluton. And then we have Luffy, who was purposefully hidden away from the world, in the mountains, with a grandpa that BEGGED him not to follow his destiny. A grandpa who knew Roger. Who knows more than we know he knows. These specific ppl being targeted, Franky and Robin, garp knowing things and hiding away Luffy, is what makes me believe kuina was targeted and was the only one successfully stamped out, even though they got the wrong guy. Chopper nami sanji and usopp probably didn't seem as much of a threat so they weren't targeted or maybe weren't even prophesized bc they have no super big connects to the void century. (Although I am suspicious of brook)
I also think this will be a great moment for zoro if it becomes reality bc he'll have a moment where he realizes it should've been him instead of kuina and I can only imagine the emotions the would stir in him.
ANYWAYS I know I have this written down better somewhere bc I took notes on it lol but this is my scatter brained answer trying to remember all my points. Sorry it isn't eloquent.

personal TADC character analysis
Tumblr media
uh warning this is long lol
autism time let’s go (/not in a negative way i have autism) stretches hands * I’ll go in order of the character episodes cause why not we have it (see below) i’ll put periods but it will just be to make it more readable not to be intimidating lolll
btw im completely open to interpretations of characters changing throughout the series this is just for fun
Tumblr media
Gooseworx has said this series is mostly focused on characters rather than lore, and from what we know, i truly believe it. I don’t think any of the current characters will abstract because of this.
(I put a version of this in the glitch inn discord theory thing so if you recognize it that’s why)
Pomni: we already know her deal pretty well, as we’ve already had her episode. uuuh if anyone’s going to do something important lore wise it will probably be her as she’s the main character but can’t rlly tell what that may be. to review ep 2 though she’s an outcast who has felt like she was nothing and is a logical thinker.
(Kinger and Zooble will there their focus episode but i put it in order of who was revealed to be the ep 3 focus first)
Zooble: From their design (the entire motif is it can be changed at any time) and the fact she doesn’t know his gender, we’re dealing with some pretty clear identity issues. Friends with Gangle seems cool excited for next episode to learn more about them!
Kinger: One of the most interesting characters so far. I feel like we will get to learn more about abstraction though Queenie, the X-ed out door that looks like a female version of him. If i had to guess, since Gooseworx said they were not siblings, they were a couple. (Also judging by his age and the fact he could have been married, he may have been a father yeowch imagine that) I can see the common theory of the insect collection implying he was a coder before getting trapped, but i could also see him being some random guy who just likes bugs lol. He seems like really sweet guy behind his constant anxiety and disassociating.
Gangle: (My faveorite human rn) Her mask design can be interpreted in a lot of ways but it’s clear that the happy mask isn’t her real personality. My take on it rn is she doesn’t wana bother people with her stuff so she pretends she’s happy? She seems easily embarrassed and def has self esteem lower than the last circle of hell. What’s interesting though is she’s willing to stand up for herself from time to time, even though she’s easily shot down after.
Ragatha: Waaaay too nice for her own good. Also probably has self esteem lower than the last circle of hell and bases her self worth of others approval.  Though she’s been here the second longest, she seems a lot more normal than Kinger. Makes me question how long apart their introductions have been. Probably copes via escapism.
Jax: I can see why everyone is very interested in him cause me too. He seems like the only fourth wall breaky guy (unless you count Caine cause of his intro at the pilot)which is rlly interesting how did he figure out more than everyone else? what’s with the keys? i have no clue lmao. He’s an asshole who makes the best of his situation by torturing everyone else. At the end of the day though, he’s a human and was sad at kaufmo’s abstraction but he probably isolates himself so it would probably be the same for anyone
but waAitTt a moment
Tumblr media
that’s 6 humans but Gooseworx said we would look into 7 (cause of the “other” part) in her twitter post talking about the character focus timeline so we know our fav character won’t be left behind ⁉️⁉️⁉️ I hear you not asking well my dear hypothetical person, who better to fill the 7th character than Caine?
Why you did not ask? Too bad i’m info dumping. First, he’s the main antagonist and alongside Pomni, the commercial face (or lack their of haha teeth and eye joke) of the series. he’s an important character and loved by many. (and hated equally if not more aside the point lmaooo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, gooseworx can lie about stuff but I think she’s smarter than to lead this heavy into Caine depth/ angst territory if there wasn’t going to be anything On top of that, the entire purpose of the timeline post was so we know our faveorite characters weren’t getting treated poorly. It’s unlike for a character based show to suddenly drop such a major character for some random other guy were introduced to later or smth. i mean cmon there’s three episodes after all the humans at least one of them has to be focused on my boy.
Caine: I believe he really does have good intentions and wants to help but just does not understand people at all. This means he’s like an anxiety disorder; it wants to help, solves some issues but creates 500 more. Judging by the Tumblr post, loneliness may play a big part in what’s to come? I’ve always had a feeling his front was extremely fake and his VA saying “breaks keyfable” (an act that pretends it’s true) supports that theory. Episode two gives some insecurity vibes when Zooble didn’t want to go on the adventure. I find that pretty interesting cause he didn’t care at all if people went on the gloink adventure or not. Maybe he puts some adventures over others and he could have been proud of the candy adventure cause more time and care was put into it and he made a new AI. Why did he blue screen? i feel like he could have some blockages on what he can say built in though im not sure why he was blocked then if he even was. one of the biggest questions i have ab him currently tbh. what’s with him grabbing his cane like that in ep 2? if i had to guess simply be nervous = that? His VA also knows some depth to him even though his focus episode is likely going to be at least one of the last 3 episodes, which they have not gotten to recording yet. You know what this means Caine angst solidarity club? Sad Caine so more fan angst appetizers before the main cannon feast let’s friccin go‼️‼️⁉️⁉️
(try to guess my fav impossible /j)

Why’d Gil Snitch On Tarvek: Theories
Gil inherited a few things from Klaus. One of them is a tendency to avoid expositing. Among other things, he’s very closemouthed about his childhood. Because of this, we don’t know much about Gil as a kid or his mindset from Gil himself.
So why did he snitch on Tarvek about his intel stash and believe Klaus was right about him for over a decade? Some theories:
1. He’s Just Not That Into Him Theory
Why does Gil refuse to believe Agatha is the Other, but decide his father is right about Tarvek when they got caught looking for Gil’s family tree? Occam’s Razor (that thing can cut through anything!): Gil didn’t like Tarvek as much as he likes Agatha.
It’s hard to disprove it because there's no one else to scale Gil's relationships with back then except Von Pinn and Klaus, whose relationship with Gil is totally different. Gil didn’t know Agatha as long as he knew Tarvek at those points, but you can like someone you don’t know. Nothing requires Gil to have liked Tarvek as much as Agatha. Tarvek was Gil’s best friend… out of zero other friends. How much does Gil have to like and trust Tarvek to recruit him for the family tree search? Who knows. Tarvek is the one who cracked the safe in the flashback, and we don’t know if Gil could do that himself back then. The information they were searching for was something Gil probably wanted to tell everyone anyways. And they have their Paris interactions to get to know each other better in the future.
2. Klaus-Gil Dynamic Swing Theory
Klaus is always right… that’s something Gil doesn’t seem to have questioned before he discovers Klaus’ mistake with Agatha. At seven years old, Gil trusts Klaus’ judgment more than his own. At twenty-two years old, Gil is more critical of taking everything Klaus says at face value. He’s also got a whole decade of change and growth behind him. In Book 2 Gil and Theo have this exchange: “You sounded just like the Gil I grew up with.” “I’m not,” Gil said flatly. “Too many things have changed. I’ll never be that person again.” He smiled and punched Theo in the arm. “But I can remember the important bits.”
So it's a different Gil making different judgment calls.
3. Suspicious Sturmvoraus Theory
It’s Tarvek. Even when they’re on better terms Gil (and Agatha) are suspicious about him working at multiple purposes. Tarvek initially approached Gil to make him his minion at the age of seven. Tarvek also thinks that Klaus told Gil about Tarvek’s family, so Tarvek himself may have told Gil very little about them, or censored what he did share. If so, having a sudden info dump about their many sins probably didn’t help anything. We also don’t know what kind of schemes Tarvek got into where Gil could see them, but Gil does know that he got a secret hiding spot. And that he’s extremely good at lying. So he looked at Tarvek and decided yeah, he's probably lying to him.
4. Trust Issues Theory
Before Tarvek, Gil had really poor relationships with his peers. Or at least, any positive ones he used to have were broken off. Present day Gil is a very friendly guy, so it wouldn’t surprise me if Gil tried to make friends… maybe even succeeded… and then they fell apart. If so, it wouldn’t be strange if part of Gil was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Something made Gil want to custom-build his own, very dependent friend construct. Definitely not a surfeit of healthy relationships with his peers.
5. Perceived Vulnerability Theory
Agatha needs protection from what Gil can see in the first arc. She’s a female Spark in an Europa where they all disappear if not well-protected. He meets her at one of her lowest points and works to build her up. Their second meeting had him pluck her from her house after she got sedated. She gets more dangerous afterwards, but Klaus does a poor job at explaining things and is very clear that leveling the town she's in to kill her is an option. Tarvek is a prince and the son of a powerful Spark, on a ship where both qualities are enormously important to their peers. They may be hostages but neither felt very endangered by it. Book 4 also states that Gil had “done his best at the time to get Tarvek sent away”, which could just be referring to ratting him out, but could also be a sign that Klaus’ first impulse was not to send Tarvek back to his family, which makes Tarvek seem even less in danger. Gil thinks if he sides against Tarvek Tarvek will just get sent back home, where he’ll continue to be a prince… and how bad can that be? Whereas with Agatha he saw a little fledgling who was going to be someone’s personal property fighting hard to avoid that. They're very different perspectives.
I'm curious what other people's theories are, so please share if you feel like it.

agatha all all along episode 3 SPOILERS:
i think they’re making it a little too obvious with jen telling teen all that stuff about nicholas. like suspiciously so. as if it’s actually a misdirection. like….come on. so maybe the theories that he’s [redacted] are true, but if he is, i have soooooo many questions about where tf he came from. he keeps mentioning his parents, but i’m sure he could be adopted or it could all be a memory fuckery spell or maybe teen is actually something very very different than he appears (an agent of mephisto?). i don’t want to believe that teen isn’t actually genuine but….hmmm.
and it’s clear agatha already has a soft spot for him.
is this the first time mephisto has actually been mentioned in the mcu?
i continue to be desperate to know why agatha hates rio so much and what she did to rio that makes rio want her dead, and what the black heart thing is all about, and why her magic would kill agatha if agatha stole it.
oh and also who the fuck are the salem seven in the mcu because goddamn. those bitches are creepy. what do they want and do other witches like them? like are they only after “dark” witches or witch killers like agatha? because they seem like they’d fuck anyone up idk.
another side note, if agatha can only steal magic when she’s blasted with it, how was she stealing that shield wanda made to protect her family in wandavision? hmmm maybe best not to think about it too hard lol.
anyway, these are mostly rhetorical questions i don’t wanna dig into the comics for theories because i’d rather just be surprised. and i haven’t watched the trailers and am trying to not any info about those either. i’m just on here dumping my thoughts lol.
my favorite moment of the whole episode was when agatha gave jen that little “pep talk.” and it was so true of agatha herself too. they can take your power, but they can’t take your knowledge.
i gotta say the whole super fancy rich house thing and the preppy clothes make me uncomfortable because that world is just so blecccchhhhh to me and none of the characters looked like themselves. i like them better as themselves. agatha still hot as fuck tho.

The subconscious, the soul, and the body...
It’s an understatement to say that the links and concepts between these are complicated / complex within the jjk world.
I’m just going to write about what I understand so far, and if anyone else has theories or a deeper understanding of it, please drop me a comment or reblog with your own thoughts. I’m open to discourse!
The rest is just largely focused on Gojo and Geto - exploring how their subconscious, soul and body may have been affected by their relationship.
What was meant to be short has gone into theorising territory as I attempt to make sense of things. I am Satosugu / SuguSato indulgent.
(Ps: I don’t discriminate over who tops/bottoms or if they even do it at all. Soulmates don’t necessarily need to copulate as far as I'm concerned).
Be warned and afraid.
It’s a real whopper of an essay by the way. If that’s not your thing, please just skim or pass - or stay for the parts you want to read and do it in multiple sittings if it gets too much.
Can you imagine what it’s like living in my brain? Ha! It’s too much for me too, hence, the info dump.
Sharing here, as I think some people enjoy reading about them too.
NOT spoiler-free. More under the cut (o^^o)
In my brainrot, the cogs start turning and sometimes 2 becomes what looks like 4 and I just have to get it out - you know the drill. Word vomit. If you’ve clicked, welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay with my obsessive brainrot, tangents, love for Gojo and Geto.
A bit on the Soul, the Body, Sub/Consciousness, and Cursed Techniques - skip this part if it’s boring:
So, based on what we have been told, Mahito believes he can see the soul, and that the body & soul are separate. For humans, souls can linger after death but upon rebirth, curses and humans alike will not know one another nor will they retain memories.
“Lingering after death” might be relevant to “north and south” too, but we don’t know with certainty what the afterlife in jjk looks like. North seems to mean rebirth - to become “someone new” - that is assuming Mei Mei is right.
Being sealed in an object (like Sukuna) is different to being in another body (Kenjaku and Tengen), and being in a binding vow/curse also changes depending on the nature of the contract, and being reborn is largely different to the rest because it seems to denote that the soul resets its memories at the very least.
Worth noting that I’m not clear on whether the spirit is different to the soul as well. They could be synonymous to some degree, but I think a spirit has the essence of a soul (indicating consciousness), and I define something with a soul to be at least a creature (with a physical body) or entity (metaphorical form).
In Toji’s resurrection case, his body is so strong from Heavenly Restriction, that it overpowers the soul of the host - Toji thus kills granny. His soul information wasn’t brought back, but some information must’ve been carved into it for it to retain… something. This something included parts where his body recognised Megumi as someone significant enough and attacked itself. (One has to ask if this is a parallel with Geto in no less than fewer than 10 chapters earlier, where his hand moved - more on this later.) Based on this, the body is separate to the soul but information can be written into it. And like the soul, a body can also be brought back through cursed technique.
OR, another interpretation is like as Kenjaku hypothesised - the body and soul are one. And if granny’s cursed technique is just summoning information, and when the soul and body are very linked like in Toji’s case, they both manifest - as in the body is so strong it pulls his soul along with it. I’m speculating. It could equally be soul information carved into the body (I’m leaning more to this interpretation).
Where curse techniques are concerned… For Yaga, he can extract the soul from the body - insinuating they are also not one and the same. And it’s not just information because the soul exists within what becomes a special grade cursed object. Multiple souls in panda’s case.
And cursed techniques themselves seem to be bound to the body for some - as in Geto’s case where Kenjaku can utilise his as well as his own techniques (along with those of his previous vessels)... however, with Sukuna and his vessels? Soul. Yuta with his copy technique - these are existing without the body or soul as this is his curse technique I guess. Reincarnated sorcerers bring their skills along with their souls too. And domains are supposedly tied to the soul. Geto was not shown to have one (but jjk 0 was created at a time where domains never existed) and if he did, Kenjaku did not have access to to it, unless the theory that the Womb Profusion is real.
Yuji could meet with Megumi's soul buried deep in his own body shared with Sukuna, that was now sunken in due to the bath of evil and killing of his sister. He also has the ability to shake a person's soul through his punches. So the soul seems to be something that can reside within a vessel and be touched through powers / ability.
Gojo was shown to be able to “see” something akin to Megumi’s soul, but this wasn’t depicted for when he saw pseudoGeto, despite the light novel saying he was constantly “staring at the shape of his soul” as he flew off on his pelican spirit. His physicality (six eyes) all but confirmed it was Geto. It was his soul that said otherwise - and it was enough to refute his six eyes. And Kenjaku believes the body & soul are one and the same, thus, confirming Gojo’s six eyes.
Or maybe Gojo can’t quite see souls? We haven’t been explicitly told. Did he see souls everywhere in that case? A part of me suspects Gege retconned this “seeing of the soul” for his fight with Sukuna, but I might be wrong. We saw the same blurry image as a representation of the soul with his six eyes, but this theory doesn’t hold up when we consider how he met with Geto at the airport.
The afterlife scene in ch236 shows their souls / consciousness somewhere at an airport (it is not known if they are merely greeting Gojo or have been there awaiting his arrival). This shows us also that they are separate. The soul has gone somewhere: Cursed realm or an Afterlife are the possibilities presented to us... because they haven’t reincarnated. Going nowhere doesn’t seem likely in the jjk world as they talk incessantly about souls and how they can be resurrected in one form or another.
For the sorcerer Geto fought with his Shiba doggy in HI - it was a fantasy of sorts - and is similar to the space between “curse and reality” that Kenjaku talked about with Sasaki. So it could be a cursed realm. And then Gojo smirking when Sukuna was giving his after-battle “send off”… did that indicate the body and soul could be one & the same? Is the afterlife a fantasy? It was a death dream? (Ah, idk how I feel about this, but again, the jjk world believes in souls).
It is so confusing. I know Gege likes the whole “there is no ultimate truth” but making this topic “up to individual interpretation” is really mind-boggling.
But Mahito and Kenjaku end up agreeing that they must be different based on technique. Maybe this is Gege’s retcon lol. Like how he created limitless and then got some people with the knowledge of physics to explain it retroactively?
I guess the manga readers needed a bit more real-world explanation once it got traction, which is understandable. But equally, some things may just need to exist as they are in fiction and unexplainable based on earthly morals or boundaries by the laws of physics and biology as we understand it.
It is possible that it’s just all dependent on curse technique, which makes Yuta’s copy possible without the body, the creation of Sukuna fingers allowing the transcendence of skills and soul without the body, Kenjaku to access soul-information (like memories) without the brain (as well as utilise the cursed technique), and for exceptions to occur, like Megumi and Yuji both accommodating the soul of another entity in their body. How some entities (sorcerer and cursed spirit alike) can touch souls - or even for cursed spirits to take on more human-like existences - implying they, too, can evolve and become a soul. Like humans evolving to become sorcerers (if they can).
And with a technique like cursed spirit manipulation, once a human’s soul is unable to exist in its physical body, the person will die unless they are like tengen with a curse technique that allows its soul to be removed - as as its form weakens… what happens to the soul if a creature / entity / being becomes more spirit than a human, where someone like Geto / pseudoGeto / Kenjaku can absorb it? I suspect they are exorcised, and they live as Pokémon-like shikigami spirits that have no soul?
We know those like Naoya can become cursed spirits, and Rika’s soul can ascend into somewhere leaving a shikigami spirit behind, so this tells us there are various levels of existence and consciousness - like a hierarchy of sorts with the soul being the most pure / transcendent. It makes sense based on my Buddhist understanding too, but who knows what exists in the jjk world. I’m just trying to make sense of it all...
And of course as I write this, ch.257 just dropped and Kenjaku bloody managed to create Yuji in a completely different era after somehow accurately discovering the reincarnated soul of Sukuna’s twin that was absorbed by him in the womb?!? 🤯 Gets pregnant as Kaori and manages to birth Yuji who could have been by luck or by design, inherited his father’s old soul’s Cursed Technique? So since Cursed Technique can manifest despite completely different DNA, it’s possible for one to assume that the Cursed Technique may be bound to the soul rather than the body… or at least for Kenjaku’s technique, he can create it within the body. or the soul?
What. The. Actual. Heck. And what happened to papa Yuji?
My brain starts to go bananas.
So souls can be split into twins if the egg splits into two (Maki & Mai and Sukuna & his twin (reincarnated into papa Yuji), and can reincarnate. But are considered one. But one can reincarnate separately. 🤯
And on reincarnation: Was the previous six eyes & limitless user Gojo before reincarnation, and does that mean that there won’t be another six eyes + limitless user since Gojo chose to go South? Especially since only one can exist in the world at any given time. Did Mai's spirit join up with Maki, or did she reincarnate?
It would make sense if the series is leading us to a conclusion whereby there is a new world where sorcerers don't exist anymore and all these OP beings like Sukuna, Kenjaku, and skills like the six eyes and limitless, cursed spirit manipulation, cursed speech, or copy aren't being reincarnated in the jjk world as it is now - by choice of the users. If Gojo and others all decide to stay in wherever they wish in the afterlife (pockets of reality wherever they may be), then the human world and the sorcerer world and the cursed spirit world will all exist separately.
But I honestly don't know if that's a good ending. It wouldn't make for very good storytelling? And all it would take was for a soul to get bored and wish to be reincarnated. So too many loopholes.
I mean, I could go deeper into speculating, but I really just wanna focus on the impact on Gojo and Geto for now...
More within the Satosugu / Sugusato context. Read here for it, or skip if it’s boring:
It seems romantic for those who have enjoyed the meme... “would we know each other in another life?”
Especially if these two were made to be counterparts. Anyway, moving on to what we see in the jjk world.
Those who like this pairing probably know these scenes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Take it how you will. It’s rather evocative and indicative of a strong bond. If you’ve read some of my other analyses, you’ll know I feel that in the jjk world: To love is to recognise / know the other, even if they presented themselves differently. To love is to long for them, and to yield - something - whether it is a power or a sacrifice, for another.
Love shapes and forms a reason. Meaning. Purpose. It does something to the subconscious. It affects and alters a person and their soul. And even without the subconscious or the soul, one’s body can react.
Some of this will be my personal interpretation but it remains canon that Gojo’s soul recognised it wasn’t Geto with Kenjaku inhabiting him. Gojo didn’t want to kill Geto but he did in the end partly because Geto wanted him to. Maybe a part of him always wanted Gojo to, which is why it/he was a curse only Gojo could bear - the responsibility to kill him was always Gojo’s.
Gojo always had Geto in the palm of his hand. Neither acted to tip the strange unspoken balance they had where no lines were crossed until Geto declared war. Geto didn’t want to pull Gojo into his broken-down world in an attempt to attack the roots of the problems in the curse-filled world. Gojo attempted to reform the jujutsu world for a long time whilst holding it up within the institution as he knew it, hoping to make room for Geto should he wish to be saved. Yeah we know he really didn’t want saving in that way... he was too busy trying to save the ones he deemed worthy by eradicating the sinners, evolve those with potential and annihilate the weak. If he was weak he deserved to be killed.
Both longed for the other but could never quite be honest with one another. I headcanon that the words, “if I could be you” were thought about more than once by each of them. That’s why Geto said it and tried to be strong, and Gojo wanted to reform the world through eduction. They swapped fortes because they lost the other on the paths they walked on. They needed each other but fate had a different plan.
They didn’t know how to bridge the gap that had formed between them until many years later. Ultimately, despite their differences, they shared the same ideals and were designed to be counterparts. There was always a space for the other in their hearts.
In those two scenes, I wondered for a while: what was Gege’s point of depicting Gojo switching back to “ore” (in reference to himself - a nuance that cannot be translated into English from its original context within the Japanese culture) for two brief moments. What does it imply about their connection? How do we understand the levels of their “counterpart-ness”? Soulmatism. Romanticism. Whatever you want to call it.
And even pseudoGeto’s body reacting to Gojo’s voice calling out to Suguru. Nothing much ever came from it, and the conversation Mahito and Kenjaku had about the soul hasn’t been expanded on since (to my knowledge). So what was Gege getting at? What are we meant to understand? Back then, it maybe served as an unresolved issue - that Geto may need to have been rescued if his soul was trapped. But now that we saw him at the airport... we can all collectively breathe a sigh of relief - unless it was just a death dream. Then we can collectively cry.
So let’s go back to their connection. We know that Gojo and Geto were practically bonded and changed by being each others’ “one and only”. However you interpret their love is up to you, but it is undeniable that there is something unique and irreplaceable shared between them.
Tumblr media
It was Mimiko and Nanako who recollected that Gojo was Geto’s One and Only 「たった一人の親友」.
Tumblr media
This is undeniably canon. Geto mustn’t have mentioned him only once, or at least they learned through observation, that Gojo was important to him despite having his cult family. It’s possible that Geto might not have seen the other cult leaders much, if they were operating from different places. So this precious space was never filled after they “argued”. Geto was probably lonely / alone too after becoming PapaGeto.
And as a parent: you love your kids but they aren’t replacements for your life partner / soulmate. The same can be said for Gojo and his students. Even after death, there is a placeholder for that person. Even between partners, some people are more significant than others.
I wanted to note that this happened after the Toji incident:
Tumblr media
Geto is actually holding an eraser, and Shoko, the pencil. It appears switched in the anime. So maybe it is not as important as it could be: by that, I mean, if Geto chose an eraser because he doesn’t like the idea of harming Gojo. So this is my headcannon.
Tumblr media
But I theorise that it’s possible. Geto doesn’t like harm to come to those he loves - like arguing. With his cult family, this was one of the philosophies they continued after his death. Geto interpreting the kfc breakup as an “argument” also speaks volumes, imho.
The eraser goes further than the pencil, probably because it is considered less dangerous than a pencil, which Gojo elaborates in the next panels.
Tumblr media
We also know that Gojo knows Geto - the ins and outs. He knows what he smells like (residuals, scent or whatever you want to call it) and can predict what he might do based on how well he knows him. This is reciprocal as Geto, too, knows how Gojo thinks. Kenjaku of course exploits this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s not too much of a stretch to think that Gojo has a tendency to let his guard down around Geto. Hence his switching to “ore” 「俺」 and his mask “of proper decorum and speaking politely” slips when he sees pseudoGeto (whom he thinks is Geto momentarily) and also Geto at the airport. He reverts to “boku” after that. (If you’re not already aware, Gojo used “ore” throughout the Hidden Inventory arc but changed to “boku” after Geto left - likely as a result of maturing and adopting his friend’s advice to be more polite.)
For context:
Tumblr media
Gege himself says he sometimes switches to usage of “ore” when he is excited - taken from the hared interview with Tite Kubo in the jjk character book.
So it’s really not imagining things when we see Gojo depicted specifically to be reacting like this to Geto alone. It seems like Gege is showing us something about Gojo’s subconscious / psyche. They are largely authentic with each other. There is a cultural difference in Japan about context of the inner (honne) and outer voice (tatemae). “Ore” and “Boku” represent that for Gojo respectively, I gather.
Their friendship, the rupture (and the intermittent anguish over 10 years), and having to kill his best friend - are all precisely why he gets sealed. His subconscious seems to know that Geto wouldn’t hurt him. He also trusts that Geto’s subconscious wouldn’t hurt him either. He believed Geto wouldn’t kill young sorcerers - and true to form, this cost him his life.
So there is trust for the person’s mind, there is knowing/identifying of the soul, there is familiarity of the body…
Which is interesting because all that is there is the body. Geto’s subconscious isn’t there anymore with his brain not physically present in pseudoGeto/Kenjaku’s body - but then his arm reacts to Gojo.
Tumblr media
It even continues reacting for some time. Look at those veins along his arm in the panel below:
Tumblr media
This is significant in the reciprocal nature of Gojo and Geto - Gojo’s speech changed for a moment and he is hit with all the memories from 3 of the best years of his life - his “3 years of Aoi Haru”/3年の青い春 like being smacked with his own unlimited void. Geto’s body reacts involuntaril and tries to retaliate, (just like Toji did several chapters later to stop himself from hurting Megumi/ending his massacre).
They reached for each other, y’all 😭
Again my brain just goes places, and it made me wonder about the soul & body thing. I hope that Geto’s soul is really at the airport, but that there is information carved into the body (like his memories) - if they’re important enough to become instinctual.
It is also, by extension, then possible that... Kenjaku experiences something outside of just thoughts /memories when inside his host...
Tumblr media
Just as we see here - yes he does need to keep an eye on the cube, but his expression / reaction to knowing that the girls’ presence are there... addressing them only after the curses have left, and what he says to them, as well as admitting he doesn’t remember what regret feels like -
Tumblr media
…and cue an tighter shot of the prison realm (with Gojo’s eyes in the anime depiction) (and interestingly the back of the realm has stitches like Kenjaku’s forehead).
Gege likes to foreshadow and follow up with something significant. So similarly to the above where he sees the girls and acts like he doesn’t give a toss, but is depicted to seem contrary to what he says. Could it also be that it Gojo’s eyes staring that incited the involuntary movement, and the reemphasis of Kenjaku saying he was enjoying the view of seeing Gojo captured - a similar pattern? This old man is just a brain who forgot how to feel?
It begs the question for me: If there was something imprinted within the body that Gojo could call out, what was there?
It remains possible that Kenjaku was simply detached / in denial / ignoring any emotion that arose within from Geto’s body.
Arguably, it is possibly quite characteristic of Kenjaku who was a “mother” and had some motherly instincts remaining, or it could also be seen as an emergence of some sympathy or sadness for the girls that may have come from Geto’s body. I mean, he led Yuji’s friend (Sasaki) out of the culling games, acting like a parent / guardian...
Tumblr media
Hmm…
We do not see a physical reaction to any children though; and I guess a situation like that (with the Hasaba girls) in comparison to one that may be filled with adrenaline like a trapped Gojo speaking in that low baritone to him, is inherently different. But regret though? Was it actually a knowing smirk Gege showed us of Kenjaku in front of the prison realm - as if to say he had bested Gojo and Geto? He got his way with the girls too, despite knowing Geto’s feelings?
Or did he simply not recognise it, and it was truly a first for Kenjaku because there normally isn’t something there, but with Geto’s body - something actually stirred / retaliated... because it was Gojo?
I mean, from a neutral perspective, it would seem like the author is shipping them, lol. But I’m not going to lie - we don’t get much honest feedback from Geto about Gojo, so nuggets like those are quite affirming that the connection felt between them was very mutual.
Because if we see how it all began, and note that all Geto wanted to do was to protect those who needed it (even if it was at his personal expense). First it was humans, then Gojo, then sorcerers and then his family too.
And this was born out of the fracture from being unable to be relied upon to kill Toji (avenge Gojo & Riko’s death) or to fight Toji with Gojo, since leaving him alone resulted in getting him killed - which he must’ve believed happened until the point he saw him alive again carrying Riko’s lifeless body...
Tumblr media
His connection with Gojo was so strong that (as Gege described it) his body reacted like a dragonfly whose head has been cut off. Something imprinted so deeply in their friendship that it became instinctual - carved into the body - and may not be related to the mind (therefore my avoidance of using the term “subconscious” with pseudoGeto, as it would be Kenjaku’s consciousness).
Moreover, if we take Toji’s resurrection as an example, even in the absence of a soul, the body can still remember and react. In a Geto’s case, where there is a different mind controlling it, for the body is react as separate entity is rather remarkable. I guess by saying this, I’m postulating that I believe body & soul are separate - because, if I’m honest, I want to believe Geto’s soul is with Gojo post-chapter 236.
But. We know there are all of Geto’s memories within the body still after Kenjaku inhabit it. In the absence of the host’s brain. It doesn’t make a lot of sense, Gege - but here we are. And maybe. Emotions too. Or memories of them at the very least. Not that it matters to Kenjaku.
This greatly disturbs me. It’s a level of injustice that also feeds into why I have been avoiding doing metas in Gojo - because his suffering and level of unfairness thrust upon him for simply being “blessed” and resilient just … hurts so bad. I can’t face it just yet.
So what exactly made their connection so profound?
I theorise that Geto interpreted Gojo as wanting to fight alone. That he was in his best element doing so. Kenjaku says this about Gojo too, knowing Geto’s memories.
Short sidenote: Whilst it is true that his technique lends itself better to soloing, I wonder how they might’ve fought together had the Toji incident not occurred. How would they overcome Unlimited Void aside from being back/to-back? Could Geto obtain a curse of his own to swallow him up as protection? No doubt, as a team, Geto’s progression could’ve been exponentially increased due to the number and level of curses available to him with assistance from Gojo. And would Gojo be different and enjoy fighting together had it not occurred? I don’t know, but they do seem to have wanted a connection with one another.
He saw Shoko being asked for help with teleportation. Once upon a time, might it have been him? There was no longer any “we” that he could sense. He didn’t feel there was a use when he had “failed” in so many ways after the failure of the mission and also believing that Gojo died that day and he was unable to avenge him.
Tumblr media
The conversation with Yuki all but reinforced his feelings of irrelevance and perceived waste of their sacrifice when tengen was allegedly stable again. Subsequent conversations with Haibara and Nanami seals his skewed belief that he wasn’t needed there. Nanami’s choice of words is very interesting in the original text, implying that “it’s enough for him (Gojo) alone, isn’t it?”. Ref post by @nanami-says who has a nice selection of pieces about translations.
Gojo alone could do it. He could train and ascend all without him; untainted and untethered. His downfall was that he didn’t speak to Gojo. Gojo alone was left out. I mean, just because it suited him doesn’t mean he should be left to do it all...
This is so sad.
He left his heart (Gojo) alone. He also left his own heart alone (never happy from the bottom of his heart). In his descent, he was busy rationalising everything else except getting sad that he felt he’d lost his best friend. Arguably, the most important thing, because it is the scariest things and the things that hurt the most often have the most power / potential to heal.
It is possible he was actively avoiding it. Because, if it was purely about chasing an ideal he could have been drawn to look obsessed with it. Instead he has a sorrowful “I love you so much imma break up with you” face.
Gojo could have been the strength he was seeking if he did indeed want to just eliminate all humans, but he didn’t seek that out because (I theorise) he didn’t want to be outwardly rejected by Gojo.
And thus, he left instead (ugh! you foolish brave coward!) after snapping, and Gojo was left alone to pick up the pieces all by himself in a place haunted with memories of them together.
Just bloody tragic.
And that’s why it was carved into their souls.
In the depths of despair that he was in, could it be that he believed Gojo was better off without him , and in wanting to cradle whatever pride he had left, he sought to build his own temple where he could live in the void of his own making without facing that he had lost everyday?
Gojo could be free to grow and grow and be the strongest and embrace whatever belief system he now held - whether it was borrowed from him or not.
Tumblr media
He even goads Gojo into killing him off since there would be meaning to it.
Sigh. Heartbreaking. It wasn’t the best decision. But we know suffering builds character. At least Gege really likes this theme❤️‍🩹.
Why do I believe he yielded though?
Tumblr media
Because caring for others comes second nature to Geto. How many times have we seen him make that forlorn face?
Even with the souvenir he requested from Haibara, in the original he phrases it in such a way he implies he isn’t even sure if he’ll see him. “Satoru too; I don’t know if he’ll have some, but I guess, something sweet?” But. He yields to his preference.
Tumblr media
There is limited space in his heart, and all he can do is exclude some in order to vehemently love those he can (or deems worthy enough based on his moral system). He didn’t know any other way to exist. Monstrous love. I’m pretty sure someone wrote about it. If I can find it I’ll link it! I call it maternal rage, but it’s a similar concept.
If he had wished to leave without staining Gojo, the absence of a confession of his love at any point also makes sense - like Nanami, he chose his final words carefully - that he hated monkeys (why preface with “no matter what anyone says”) and in a roundabout way, that he djdnt have hate for anyone at the school (can’t he just say he was happiest in those few years?). He wasn’t happy in the world (you can just kill me).
Tumblr media
When he saw and felt Gojo’s love - unwavered and unchanged, seeing him having blossomed into someone still so pure - effortlessly righteous, strong, and proud with his army of students who loved each other... did he dare feel absolved? Did he feel like it was worth his defection? Yielded to others? Unable to be selfish? As sad as he was for himself and that his family would be without him and his dream unrealised; Gojo turned out ok.
Suddenly it gave meaning to his perceived sacrifice. It parallels with Toji and seeing Megumi who wasn’t a zenin.
Ah, this makes me mad somehow, but if it helped him pass and have a good death, what can I say? We all need something different at the end of our lives. And it’s important in the Shinto perspective to have a death free of regret in order to live in the space between nowhere/rebirth and earth. I posted about this in another piece too.
And I think that’s also why it was all carved into his body - enough to react to Gojo calling out to him, “Suguru”, despite being inhabited by Kenjaku. And carved into his soul that’s why he waited in the afterlife for Gojo. To be the first to greet him. I want to believe the body and soul are separate. The subconscious may have acted as a bridge between the two, transferring information from the mind / soul into the body.
But of course as a reader we wished it could’ve been a kinder fate for them. But I guess sometimes people have to pay for their sins as well as the sins of others? Life isn’t fair after all…
And arguably, Gojo needed a way to truly sympathise with the weak and how else through loving and losing someone to shape a person’s soul? It was just rather Geto-shaped, as I elaborated on in my other post.
Tumblr media
I highly suspect Gojo may have wanted something different - as being born the strongest, he was always going to be the strongest anyway. This came with a burden. Noblesse Oblige. Being the strongest was written into his entire being - mind, body, soul.
And I think this was something they had both respected. I doubt Geto ever thought of himself as a power equal to Gojo, but they had both valued their friendship. Geto was someone who saw Gojo for a person, before the strongest. That’s why when Mimiko and Nanako asked, he was considered thus “my best friend”, and not the latter. Gojo recognised that for what it was, and felt the tender words that showed Care. Consideration. Love.
Tumblr media
Gojo may have wanted Geto to lean on him a little. To let himself take the fall. They both didn’t like burdening the other, and after Toji it might just magnified. He wasn’t the type to overthink his role, but wanting to be the strongest (seeing how far he can go) and taking on all the blame was one of the ways Gojo was extremely loving. It was just something he accepted.
Tumblr media
I feel like Gojo wanted to be relied upon to do his part; be his best friend, someone he could still love and do the mental and emotional load for him, spoil him a little in return so he could just do his thing as the strongest and train. He needed his other half to help him to do the things he doesn’t like or isn’t good at doing.
Tumblr media
I think that as they experienced their bafflingly complementary and reciprocal friendship … before he knew it, all these experiences and emotions shaped him so much that his soul made room for Geto - as the one person who represented fulfilment outside of being the strongest.
Never once did he think he’d lose Geto like he did. He never wanted to be at it alone. Like a lonely army tank whose comrades had left him on the battefield to fight it out on his own.
Ugh, it hurts so bad. He didn’t think Geto was slipping down. Maybe because it wasn’t something he could understand- even more so after the enlightenment incident where a chasm emerged between him and others. Maybe nobody was ever important enough for him to worry or miss if they left.
He nevertheless never deserved to be met with such loneliness and misfortune. He carried the weight of it all, all by himself. I know they both did in their own way, but there is some tragedy to Gojo where he probably wanted or could have had more to fill his life and soul but there was always a chasm or a void that could not be filled because he could not feel understood by anyone since Geto.
How awful it must feel to have to kill someone you treasure.
We have no idea without much insight into his life growing up. Nevertheless, Gojo consistently shielded those he cares about from self-blame even from the beginning where he must’ve known Geto had such inclinations to be stuck in his own head and he tried his best to absolve it and take it upon himself. The priorities of those he cared about became his, provided if he could do it. He protected the students and made light of situations so they could experience their youth. Something he can remember treasuring well into his adult life. His blue spring / best years of his life were deeply etched into his subconscious and soul. It was what he wanted to give his students and reason for reforming the jujutsu world.
Tumblr media
But being shielded at that time wasn’t enough for Geto who was experiencing the worst spiral in his life yet. He needed to feel the weight of his responsibility had meaning and a role. In his trauma, grief and denial, he shatters and reaches a point from which he cannot return. He also knows how Gojo defines the weak - tiresome, “lower”, etc. and that could have been another factor that led to his avoidance of him.
I want to really emphasise how I don’t blame any of them. They are not inherently responsible for the other. Arguably, Gojo needed to learn about that pain in order to know what love is. And Geto needed to realise how flawed and unloving his path actually was.
If only they could’ve both had a compassionate mentor who guided them onto the Teacher AU path 😭
In the absence of such a connection etched into his soul, what might Gojo have become? Another Sukuna? I theorised that Geto helped Gojo connect with those “beneath” him in a recent post. I’m not going to repeat that here, but it makes a lot of sense to me that Gojo learned a lot about love through Geto and his own hard work following the numerous hardships he faced as the loneliest strongest of the modern era.
Tumblr media
He faced so much in his short life. Being blessed with the six eyes and limitless was a curse in itself. He spent years paying the price for losing his friend, and even had to kill him. How profoundly tragic. He faced loneliness and criticism for finding joy in the only thing that he practically had: jujutsu (yes that kept him one-dimensional, but similar to MeiMei chasing money and several others pursuing strength alone) it was a hefty price to pay. But he was a sorcerer. After all, the only thing he really wanted was to treasure his blue spring and the person associated with it - Geto.
It is poetic that when Gojo died, his soul found its counterpart. He opened his eyes to the person whose presence had etched itself so deeply that he knew Geto in body, mind, soul. Geto was there to greet him with a heartfelt smile (and pout!).
Tumblr media
One meeting him at the point of death, and the other, upon death.
Their exchange is really reciprocal here too, with Geto admitting he was envious and Gojo responding in a way where he implies reassurance akin to “I needed you there”. Link to a post on this:
Geto’s little tear in his eye in not one, but two panels as well.
Anyway… then appearing at the airport reminds me of their exchange many years ago “you’re late Suguru - no you’re early.” And “you’re late, Satoru.”
Well, they’re on time now... better not be late for your flight, kids.
And as Kenjaku said to Gojo before sealing him - 「新しい世界でまた会おう」
“let’s meet again in the new world.”
—————————
Sorry, it’s a whopper from me again.
Just some words in an attempt to close this off:
For someone whose emotions guided and drove his rationale, it was ironic how Geto’s body became a puppet for someone like Kenjaku, who was so cerebral (devoid of empathy) befitting of his curse technique to brain-hop. It fits with the jjk theme of being strong in the absence of love, I guess?
Seems fitting that Kenjaku was bested after slipping up when having that good of a time with Takaba. Ironic isn’t it? All those years scheming, only to lose himself for a moment as he indulged in something novel, and he lost to a scheme himself.
And to be killed by Gojo v3.0 (Yuta) who already defeated him once, also as foreshadowed by Gojo before being sealed, on the date he scheduled 24th November.
The parallels don’t end there either, where somehow mahito who stood beside Kenjaku was created to parallel Gojo in some way too (I haven’t quite pondered on this much yet, but I reckon there is something about the thrill in growing exponentially / fighting sense that they share - it might just be that alone or possibly also the juxtaposition of one being human and one a curse? Their reasons for seeking strength?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I dunno - i gather Yuji who also developed exponentially fast and as an anomaly himself may have similarities. And again, as ch 257 leaked, it makes sense and I look forward to finding out what’ll happen to them (seeing as Yuji is kind of sukuna’s son 🤯 if the jjk world considers twin souls to be one soul - papa Yuji is Sukuna’s twin after all) and also Megumi of course.
Just going to wrap up here now, and please feel free to link me up to a post that can enlighten me or drop a comment with any thoughts?
Sorry for a rambling post. I hope it made sense.
For real, real. Thanks for reading my brainrot ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

my thoughts as I read the new (6 months old) chapter of ethnoentomology bc i said would live blog it and this is least annoying way i can do so.
Hornet really just fucking pulled a gun out im like 1 minute fucking in jesus girl.
---
Tumblr media
---
ooooooooh my fucking god he's literally a sopping wet little meow meow. i WILL be coming back 2 this.
---
what this fucking pronoun fuckery i need to reread this shit im onto something. i need to add all my annotations together. i need a conspiracy board. i need to make a chart with color coded lines
Tumblr media
---
I wish Hallownest’s official language was anything other than “cryptic riddles.”
me too dude the fuck.
---
CHANCE BEING EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT???? telling lurien he isn't at fault for the radiance's actions
however... how could he think anything else really. he is all for blaming the radiance for everything.
i'm feeling a delicious mix of "can i even trust my own thoughts" mixed with Chance trying to separate what was him versus what was other.
What happens when (if) he manages to separate what actions were wholly him with no outside influence? What will he regret? What will he desperately try to justify?
How would he even determine what is him and what is the influence of the radiance? He has no memory of past actions to compare against. He can't necessarily even trust the memories he does have, they're full of hallucinations, gaps in memory where he doesn't know what he did. If it was "him" that did it. AAAAAAAAAAAUGH
Tumblr media
___
is chance checking out of reality a lot rn or am i looking too deep. there seems to be a lot of "jump cuts"
---
back 2 valleri. info dump for me lurien i only read a handful of chapters of midnight rider.
---
"I couldn’t tell you how many times she would’ve been jailed or worse"
wait wasnt she jailed tho. didnt she like. immediately punch pk in the face or am i misremembering. does lurien not know this. i feel like he should be told this information somehow bc like. i feel like it would give him a heart attack.
---
VALLERI LEFT SOMETHING FOR CHANCE???? THE PLOT THICKENS HELLO???
---
why is chance so gay he is SO focused on lurien all the time jesus christ man. i feel like i keep getting trapped in one of them slow burn fics where they keep almost kissing.
FUCKIGN 2 SECONDS LATER:
Having grabbed something from a small drawer in the table behind Chance, Lurien settled back, (disappointingly) further away from him.
chance ur down bad. this is going to blow up in his face spectacularly somehow. good 2 know i wasnt imagining the horny descriptions of lurien from last chapt.
---
new theory: valleri is a time-traveling post-transition chance. source: my other theory that valleri and chance are closely related. similar temperament and appearance. both from california or w/e.
wait i think i remember valleri have future seeing powers. i refuse to finish reading midnight rider until ethno is done tho so i'm keeping my theory
---
Chance reflexively rejected this information before he could begin processing its implications.
side effects of having magic powered by belief: may decide to just ignore things bc if u believe it you make it true. denial is a powerful drug
wait. hmmmmm.
did the radiance take chance's memories? or did chance want to forget? like could also totes be the cool magical barrier that wipes ur memories to prevent the radiance from escaping the corpse of hallownest. but now i am thinking of all the fucked up implications of something so horrible (by a teenagers standards) that chance wanted to forget everything.
---
TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSK MY BABY TUSK POV TUSK POV TUSK POV
oh no the baby is injured.
They needed to find Chance. He would heal them, like always—

oh fuck yeah i fucking love use of game mechanics in stories for problem solving. go little guy go!

HEY WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK
Like life’s just a script and she’s waiting for her cue.
OH? paralleling what lurien said about PK. INTRIGUING.
(fucked up evil theory: The parallels between PK and Valleri that are being drawn here... from what I understand Valleri became INCREDIBLY close and attached to hallownest. What if Chance is Valleri's hollow knight?)
---
The White Palace was destroyed. But so was the Watcher’s Spire, and Chance could put that back.
my sweet child, you are going to fucking kill chance
---
Too cowardly to confront her own cowardice.
ruh roh raggy. hornet's going to have to contend with the fact that she has killed her own siblings in cold blood eventually. possibly soon
---
fuck yeah i love worldbuilding. tell me more about how the fictional bug city built in a wet cave functioned and how the class divide determined transportation methods.
---
*slaps chance* this baby can fit so much PTSD in it
---
this is spelling euphoria isn't it.
---
hey wait doesn't chance have boat trauma??? didn't he see a corpse under a boat in the last chapter of act 1???
---
something bad is going to happen. we're building so much suspense.
---
"Chance"
??????? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON NOW???????
---
draped half overboard like a dirty wet rag
chance's natural state really.
---
something in their Void was churning
This happens directly after Chance has his little episode with the boat. Are Chance and Tusk connected by the void? Didn't something similar happen in the last chapter??
---
Hornet i love u. She's so spiderman coded.
---
—Tusk whacked the switch to the elevator and went up and away. “Wh—Vessel! Hold on!”
see u idiot
---
Ah Lemm, the confidence of a man who is very very wrong. he'd shit his pants if he saw all the human shit in the junkyard lmao.

Several photos were attached to the line and dangled from ceiling to floor. Dozens of lines around the room like party streamers, a hundred little memories swaying gently in the dust.

Made a really big rant on wambus in my friends discord server, wanted to share it;
I wanna do a really big info dump on Wambus and Triffany's relationship and also talk about Wambus himself cuz he's pretty cool and I'm really fixated on him now... so:
I think a lot about Wambus tbh. Lemme explain. I feel like that's why he's so attached to Triffany, and everytime she doesn't come back for days and nights on end you can see it in the beginning of this game he just has this gut feeling that she's not coming back for him. I'll say it once and I'll say it again, wambus did not cheat on triffany with the cactus. cactriffy was created because of Wambus' unstable emotional attachment to Triffany.
When Triffany doesn't come back for awhile, rather instead of bottling his feelings up and exploding one day on her way random he tries to talk to the cactus about it. Cactriffy is a type of coping mechanism for him to deal with his abandonment he feels like he facing. Wambus is stubborn though, a crucial part to his character yes, but Triffany is too and I believe that is what many people in the fandom forget. He didn't cheat on her, she didn't cheat on him, all that happened was that they were both too set in their ways and hobbies to apologize to one another.
I feel like what people in the fandom also don't consider is that Triffany held her stakes *way* too high for Wambus. She expect so much of him it seemed, and it can probably come from her whole ordeal she has to be like her grandmother and such. They both have expectations they've tailed to live up too, and have different ways of coping with it. Triffany's way however seems to be staying away from humanity, more comfortable with intimate objects. Wambus is too, but he also misses feels like he failed Triffany so much he can't be forgiven, he can't be believed in anymore.
Speaking of not feeling he can be believed him anymore, I feel like this fandom tends to ignore his death voices lines. Wambus DIES thinking he is a failure, the others do not. His death is unique because it points out something about him: He was so set in his beliefs, he didn't realize Triffany loved him. And the truth is? It's because she didn't show it as much as she should. The whole reason why Triffany plans to grow a garden of all his favorite plants and such is because now the failure has shifted to her. She's now realized she's failed him not only as a wife but as a friend too.
With this next part I'm stepping into a bit of theoretical theory, but when watching @doomedpuppetyuri replay bugsnax, it had shown me a few times where Wambus was often mistreated by the cast. Take for the beginning party for example, I am always extremely infuriated by how people make such a joke of it. When Gramble says to Wambus "you don't know a thing about love, that's why your wife left you" it feels like an assumption. Triffany did *NOT* in any way leave Wambus, there a difference between packing up your things and leaving someone behind us. A stubborn personality getting in the way of an apology. They were not divorced in anyway or how, they were simply doing their own thing to handle their lives. Another thing I've noticed is Gramble often brings up Wambus a lot more than Wambus brings up Gramble. People forget that Wambus never starts the arguments, he is easily agitated. He doesn't speak much either. Same thing with the whole idea people have where Wambus threw cromdo out of spite or something. Cromdo, like the man he is but no hate to cromdo I love him probably agitated Wambus in some way that made him do that, and a small detail too is that in the DLC, Floofty has picked on Wambus too once (stating, Wambus doesn't trut Floofty since the 'Noodler Incident')
(And also I just wanna say no hate to any other characters I mention in this I've just noticed this about their relationship with Wambus.)
Wambus' emotions are their own topic themselves, because people often forget he's grumpy all the time, people make him grumpy. He's easily able to change his mood depending on what he's exposed to from other Grumps, and it feels like the some of other Grumps aren't nice to him. But Wambus is also at fault here sightly, because he's not the best at handling criticism and such, his mood can often change. Take the first scene where we meet Wambus for example: due to his stubborn qualities, when Filbo says something (accidentally) it provokes Wambus to be more hostile towards him. However, you can tell he is regretful. He is regretful when he apologizes to Filbo, Gramble, and Triffany.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed this has probably been my longest ramble ever on wambus troubleham 💔💔

Your post about Abigail, over half of it doesn't make sense, and it made me realise that Taylor's lyrics and easter eggs, etc, can be bent and twisted to fit whatever muse people want. That Taylor is the only person who actually knows who her muse is. And we won't find out who it is until she tells us if she ever does. So thanks for nothing.
Posts like this that introduce a new concept or topic are not designed to be easily understood by everyone else, they’re a chance for me to zoom in on a topic and info dump by sharing a lot of idea and thoughts at once before zooming out again to share new posts like this one that connect back to this main topic.
I knew that my first muse post would be controversial because I was introducing a new muse possibility that challenges the foundation of every other muse that others are already invested in. It’s important for all of us to understand that we could be wrong because we don’t know Taylor personally. This blog is a place for me to share my own thoughts and ideas with others, as well as an invitation to go off and do your own research. For example, try looking up what an unreliable narrator is and find some examples in the books you’ve or movies that you’ve seen before. Or perhaps try watching the Truman show a few times and see what patterns you pick up on. If you disagree with the references to quotes from interviews then go back and watch them for yourself. I’m not here to hold your hand and walk you through this particular post step by step if you disagree with me. It’s written in a way that’s designed to allow you to understand more and more if you keep coming back to it after investigating pieces of it until you can see how they intersect to create the bigger picture.
When I became more invested in the gaylor lore a lot of the theories surrounding muses felt too rigid because everyone seemed to be repeating the same interpretations as facts. Instead of following along with everyone else I started going through Taylor’s music, music videos and interviews and tried to remain as unbiased as possible as I came to my own conclusions as I viewed every character in Taylor’s story as a version of Taylor with no intention of delving into muses. Eventually it became apparent that there was a third main character that represented Taylors muse. I needed to lay all of my cards out on the table to announce that Abigail was my own personal prediction of who Taylor’s muse could be so that I can delve into differentiating between Taylor, Taylor™ and her muse. My future posts are bound to challenge the foundation of other muses, but if you’re willing to consider that I might be right about this one I’d like to invite you to learn about the tale of the blind doctors and the elephant.
“You don’t know what you don’t know” 🐘
Tumblr media
We’re all invested in different specialties that branch off from the one thing we all have in common, believing Taylor is part of the LGBTQIA+ community. As we process our ideas out loud we’re all bound to get some things right, take it too far at times, or find something that others might not be ready to see for themselves. Expecting everything that’s shared to be digestible facts for gaylors focused on other branches of gaylor lore just hinders the collaborative process for those invested in the same branch of gaylor lore that you are. Sometimes we need to zoom in on an idea and put all our cards on the table so that we can then zoom back out to see what fits in with the bigger picture. Being open to new ideas and having grace for those you disagree with allows us all to stay focused on the one thing we have in common, Taylor Swift. 🌈

I know I'm late to the discussion, but here is my take on the video of K at that event: I think she and the others were talking about her breakup when she noticed the camera, then she proceeded to cut it short by saying it surprised her, too, grabbing Laura's arm to indicate to be more careful or to shut the topic down. I could be wrong ofc, but if I think of it as them discussing someone else's breakup, it doesn't make sense with her tone and body language. Laura could've heard the news from Cindy, that's why she'd ask when meeting her at that event. I don't see why she'd be asking K about Zoe and Channing like that, I think Laura knows Z better than K anyways. Why would K be the one they'd go to for info, also the tone didn't seem like they were gossiping. I may be wrong, but this is my take on the video.
Hey girlie! 😊
No, I think you're on to something there. Your theory makes a lot of sense. It's K's whole body language and tone that is giving me the impression that she might have been talking about herself and not someone else.
It does seem like Laura may have heard the news from Cindy, but Laura may have seen Kaia for the first time in person in a while at that event, and wanted to know more. Keep in mind too that Cara was also there as well (another person that Kaia is friends with), so maybe Cara could have been hearing things for the first time.
We also should keep in mind too that just because you and your bf might be having some issues in your relationship, it doesn't automatically mean that you think that he's going to DUMP you. A breakup can still be somewhat of a surprise to you, even if you and bf were having some issues.
She could have been asking Austin if everything was okay, and he could have been trying to reassure her that all was well (Austin is very sweet after all), but eventually he just couldn't pretend any longer. #shrug
There could be numerous possibilities.
Let's just see what happens after Austin stops filming. I keep saying that lol. I'm starting to sound like a broken record. 😅
We need to wait and see what Austin (and Kaia) does after he's done working in NYC. We need to see if they spend time together. We've all seen what that man looks like when he's single. I truly believe that if Austin is indeed single, we will definitely know it. We will see him getting cozy with other women lol.
Think about when he and Vanessa broke up. He was spotted with other women. There were reports of him and Callum having women in their hotel rooms lol. He was spotted kissing Lily Rose Depp. Listen... That man is hot. 🥵 There is no way that if he is single, women aren't going to be throwing themselves at him lol. 😆 They practically throw themselves at Austin now, and they know he has a gf. So can you imagine if he's SINGLE? 🤣
Ladies -- Believe me, we will know if they've broken up.😅 There will be signs, even if there isn't a formal announcement yet. But for me personally, I'm going to be watching Austin, not Gerber Baby. She's unreliable. And she flirts, kisses, and throws herself at other men and women. We can't rely on what Kaia does. We have to look at what Austin does. 😏

Hello, there. I'm currently high (both on cannabis and having freshly info dumped about WBN to someone, and in doing so, I churned my mind up into a frenzy that is better than psychedelics to me) and can't stop thinking. So, please, have:
Some Cannabis and Overenthusiasm-fuelled Fan Theories about Worlds Beyond Number (Part 1)
Theory 1: We might go to Spirit (or at least the Near Spirit) Very Soon ™️
So... this one might be a stretch... But as I previously mentioned, I was infodumping to a friend of mine this morning, and I noticed a trend:
Chapter 1 was introducing us to the PCs (The Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One), very standard and, dare I say it, proper practice for any long form AP production worth it's salt. It takes place in a relatively neutral setting, in that there is a great diversity of kinds of people our heroes come across, and it really gives just a cursory first glance at the kind of world we are playing in
Chapter 2, we visit the Citadel, home of Suvi (The Wizard), and receive context for what exactly wizards--at least the wizards like our wizard--are all about. We see, in great detail, what expectations are placed upon Suvi; how she should act, speak and think. And we also gain glimpses into the Citadel's function, and the way it interacts with the world that hint at the disconnect between what Suvi believes about the institution that raised her and the actual impact of said institution upon the world.
Now, in Chapter 3, we have stepped into what should be Ame's (The Witch) world, despite her never having really experienced it before this moment. Again, we get a very in depth look into how Ame is expected to act and react as the Witch of the World's Heart, as well as how this very specific faction of witchcraft performs together. Same as with the Citadel, we see that not every witch is the Ghibli-esque cutie we previously thought, and we see the ways that not all witches' actions have the same impact upon the world at large as even the witches believe they do. Also, we get to see that it's not just one baddie here in Umora.
If pattern and logic are to be trusted (and I want to trust my fellow ND comrade BLeeM to make it so, I really do), it seems like the next step for Chapter 4 would be for the gang to follow Eursulon (The Wild One) into some version of his world. Currently, I think the gang fleeing to the Near Spirit where his family tree is would be the ideal; a happy medium between the best outcome (they are actually able to travel into the spirit realm because Eursulon somehow becomes unwayshadowed??) and what seems the most logical next step based off where the last episode (#29) left us (The King of Night drags Eursulon away to the Near Spirit to irrevocably change the trajectory of his life and Ame and Suvibhave to find a way into the Near Spirit to save him). But it feels like it's time for us to start really digging in to how the Spirit leaves its mark on Umora. Plus, with that little teaser of the frontlines of a war that could be heard in the distance from the burrow, I am desperate to know the third side to the story, because then we can start sifting through all this information we have snippets of and see if we can piece some things together.
Damn. This got longer than expected... I think I'll just make a part 2 with my truly unhinged theory next... if you made it here, thanks for reading. I need a snack, you should also have a snack

Crowley’s peaceful precious existence doesn’t exist.
He wants to protect his status quo because it’s more desirable than what he’s been dealing with in the past. But it’s not ideal. It’s not what he really wants ( he probably thinks he doesn’t deserve what he really wants).
A fundamental part of aziraphale and crowley’s disagreement is Crowley thinks what they have is good enough because it’s better than it was and aziraphale sees it can be better. Aziraphale is an idealist, which can get him to be too blind to a lot of things, but it also gives him the fortitude to stubborn his way through things when he thinks he knows the right way, even if he hurts himself in the process. (Insert Pokémon joke more clever person than I comes up with)
Tumblr media
You CANNOT tell me crowley enjoys living in his car. Hauling his plants around ( he’s not gonna dump them like SHE dumped him, even when he’s disappointed in them). Sleeping all cramped up. Having Shax and who knows what other demons just pop in when they want.
And speaking of shax- it seems like heaven has left aziraphale alone until Jim-gabe trundles up (with his box with his brains in a fly and the book of life he stole no I’m not letting go of that theory) but shax is up crowley’s ass. She’s in the Bentley, she’s calling him, they’re meeting up in places. Wow, so peaceful and relaxing, Crowley, amirite?
And he damn well isn’t going to take a rank-up in hell to give Beelzebub info about Gabriel no matter how weird they get about it.
He’s depressed, perhaps the immortal version of a midlife crisis (what’s the point, blah blah blah ) and yet you see all that life, all the bits of him he’s stuffed down because he thinks he doesn’t get to be that anymore escaping bit by bit. He’s gentle with Muriel, he’s conflicted with Gabriel to extremes almost, he’s giving space to humans, he’s indulgent to aziraphale’s whims until he realizes aziraphale has gone completely off into lala land (aziraphale’s version of dealing with his own trauma a whole other post).
And now this is my own conjecture, but he’s also having to deal with stuff from his past he’s been trying to box up, like rank and class and ability and purpose. I mean, it’s a bit embarrassing to think about stuff you’ve done years ago you might not do now. Angel!crowley is a bit single minded and vain. Angel!crowley was clearly high ranked and trusted with a lot of responsibility and power. Angel!crowley bids some lower angel over to be a freaking easel and blows-off that angels introduction in order to soak in the glory of his creation. Who knows what else he was like? All the other angels right now are very much aware of rank; Maybe he was too.
And maybe demon!crowley is wiser and more aware and is a bit embarrassed of what a pompous ass he was. But instead of forgiving himself, he’s just going to punish himself.
Traumatized people can sometimes step in and punish themselves when the outside source is absent. Crowley tells aziraphale he’s a demon, he lies, he’s a demon he’s not nice he’s a demon he’s evil - so aziraphale is repeating this to him even though it’s not what aziraphale believes. (And people get mad at aziraphale for it, but he’s doing what Crowley seems to want him to do because his own trauma dictates he try and please everyone) .
It can’t get any better for Crowley right now, in his mind. All of us vs all of them is looming but it’s not right now. (But it is) aziraphale and he can hang out in his shop and get food and just be right now(he just needs to make sure all these threads of threats against them are ignored) and yeah, crowley’s inconvenienced and uncomfortable but like he deserves that, it’s aziraphale’s comfort that’s important right now (never mind that if he actually said that sentence aloud he’d get the equivalent of a wtf-Crowley glare from aziraphale). Aziraphale has all these places and people and things and hobbies and so it’s nice he deigns to spend time with a demon (doesn’t even occur to him aziraphale thinks he’s the lucky one the amazing so-much-better-than-me Crowley picked).
Crowley has his hands covering his ears and is going lalalalalalalalalaICANTHEARYOU because even with all the bullshit going on, he’s mostly content. And he doesn’t dare think he could have or even deserve more happiness. He needs to accept all the love aziraphale wants to give him. Accept that he still is a bit of ‘that angel’ inside instead of shoving it down into a box with a weak lock, accept others out there actually do care about him. Accept it’s okay for him to care for things.
And ultimately, he has to accept he cannot keep running from the rotten core of heaven and hell and face it and root it out in order to really have his peaceful existence. And he’s going to have to make peace wnd find acceptances with his present and past selves to do so. I cannot wait for his journey.

Tulip rambles: Moving parts
Spoilers for just about everything in nexomon. If you haven't completed the post game for both games(Netherworld n1, Abyssals n2) do that first
One might be incredibly confused by what the Frick I mean when I say moving bits. So, to explain myself
When I say moving bits, I mean the moving ribbon like things first appearing on the CoO(Children of Omnicron), in n1, you can see them the best with Metta
Tumblr media
Those guys. Moving parts. Elemental parts
It might not be obvious at first minus the mineral one, but they all have different little textures for their own elements
Tumblr media
If you zoom into her green, or encounter her in n1, you can see those are actually leaf shapes in there that are moving!
Same for everyone else, for the most part. (We are going over the conflicting info later, for now this is just information dumping)
In n1, only the children of Omnicron, and some of the wardens had it. Particularly, Titan, Darine, Krowr, Hexia, *Tikala.
Ogoon... Has fire? Which I'm half way on counting, half way to not. Ziegler has like a moving body but not quite the same feeling
*Tikala will be a ramble later
The only legendary without it in short is Luhava(and Ziegler if you count it). Who knows what Luhava's deal is, doesn't matter
Now n2 gets... Interesting. Because they don't quite follow rule sets as much as they should (cough cough Solus and Nara cough cough), but still, to go down the list
From the tyrants, only Mulcimer has magma. Granted, it's red and Ogoon and Fona have been using yellow, but more on that later. No other tyrant does.
For Drakes... The ones with official moving elemental parts are.. Dracon, Graloon, Volta. That's three out of 9
... Now, to be salty, the ones who DON'T have it but SHOULD in n2 are Solus, Nara.
And in abyssals we have... Helovolk(again,), Pluvian, Braccus. Three, again, though different three.
So now, without me checking every single nexomon I am fairy certain non legendarynexomon don't have this, save for the Drare line and some fire types
So it's clearly at least a little important, right? Right. Ramble time.
So now we go into the deep end by discussing by types, and then some theories in the end, but for now, opposite order, which means-
Ghost.
None. Seriously, no ghost PT(primordial tyrant), Krainull and Fane don't have it either. They have like, blue flames if you want to count that as their thing, but generally they don't have anything
I can hear someone going "what about Titan-"
Tumblr media
Titan still has his mineral things, for some reason, so he's disqualified (and also those aren't ghost shaped blobs, ya know? )
So as far as ghost goes... I'm guessing it's either purple or blue. I tend to lean purple because I like purple, but blue is a very valid leaning point (also doesn't create a bit of an overlap with Luxa, more on that later)
Psychic
.. Also technically 0! Technically. Venefelis, Solus and Mystigon don't have anything, but you know who does?
Tumblr media
Darine.
Now the issue with accepting Darine, is that she was a water type, so that helps her design stay the same, but also, if Titan didn't change it, who says she had do?
That still looks like water to me, but! We can at least safely assume it would be pink.
... Now, why the heck Solus doesn't have it? I don't know. It would've been easy to take the orange and make it pastel pink and make it move but no, can't have nice things.
Normal
... So, conflicting information a tad. Mostly because:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And their souls are blue, which while helpful for my theory, I'm gonna try to be anti bias here.
I'm more included to believe Metta(even though, the fire being red complicates things,) so we're going to go with Black. And besides, red was already taken.
So normal is: Black (?)
Electic
Ho boy. Okay. This is a long one. So. First up we got the man himself, Luxa
Tumblr media
He has this pale purple, which is we go above, it technically shared with ghost. But it's whatever right? At least he is always purple and-
His necklace is yellow when he revives Omnicron.
Well, that's less ideal. But whatever it's just Luxa, let's see our favorite bumble bee dragon-
Tumblr media
So that's... Conflicting. Because that's just kinda... blue. Which is stealing from Water, and is also DRAWN like it's water, no I checked, Volta doesn't learn water moves
Okay Volcel is a no so maybe how about-
Tumblr media
That's... That's just orange, which is a third color and is technically fire's! (And that shading is very weird. It's too goo-y to be pure electric)
So electric is.. Just spin the wheel and pick at this point. Who's saying fricking pink is off the table?
Granted, at this point there's little colors left, but if we kept mineral to a pale brown, yellow could have worked!
It's.. I honestly don't know what's happening there.
Water
Probably the clearest slam dunk ever is water and wind. It's just blue, that's it
.. Tumblr isn't letting me upload more images, but trust me on that one
Plant
Okay. I need to delete some image in the post I need y'all to just.. See n1 Tikala
So! Plant should be pretty clear, right? Nara in n1 has green moving bits, nothing else does, a slam dunk-
Tumblr media
N1 Tikala says hi.
... So. I think those gems are moving but I also can't tell as I'm not home yet. Point being, that's just blue again!
And you know the funny thing? N2 Deena's things FADE INTO BLUE! instead of having like a moving elemental ribbon thing, her thing just fades into blue. That's it.
It feels connected but I wouldn't even know where to start honestly.
Forever angry n2 Deena doesn't have moving bits, but moving on..
Fire.
So.. You're just gonna trust me on this one my post is packed with images already
The thing is... Metta's ribbon and Mulcimer have red like magma. Ogoon, Helovolk and Fona in both games, have like yellow fire. That's... A bit contradictory.
As you probably saw in my redesigns, I just make fire red as a rule of thumb, but like, it can also be orange and yellow!!
I guess it makes sense because that's like the main colors of normal fires, but if everything could stick to a theme(excluding electric), you can too!
Wind
Just clear as day, use teal. That's it no drama no nothing, Ventra is the only one with it, anyway
Mineral
Finally. Okay so, mineral is this pale brownish yellowish color. That seems to be the consensus between n1 Grunda, Titan and Graloon, but. N2 Grunda is way more just out right gold. So is Metta's mineral ribbon.
Granted, I think the ribbon is because they needed to give him some gold, and didn't know where to put it, but that's irrelevant.
So brownish gold range? But then.
Braccus. He has just out right Magma like Mulcimer does. He doesn't learn any fire moves either.
But an argument COULD be made that he just spent a long time in hot areas so his rocks just... Melted? But then that's just speculation. I'm. Hhhh. Abyssal person why do you hate me.
In conclusion everything made mostly sense in n1 and then they messed it up in n2.
.
.
Now as for ending notes..
I think these basically show how powerful they are, maybe? Or what power they have. So then it makes sense that Titan is still lingering on mineral because lack of Ghost PT
So there has to be something going on with Electric, it just kinda takes whatever color of whatever elemental, that can't be great. Granted I don't know what, but, ya know,
Fire is on wayyy too many things. Every legendary and even common nexomon have fire. Also like the fire starters always start out with Explosion irrc which is really powerful. Dunno, there's something about them being maybe a touch too strong that I'm glancing at Fenrir
Nadine, Merida, Ulrich, James, thank you for being mostly chill
Deena what the heck. I don't know why she loses her elemental thingies and I will go insane over it, but she does. And I've always been like "WHY BLUE? " but now that I've seen Tikala I'm like "... W... Why.. Blue? " ya know
Thanks for coming to my tedtalk, everyone

Aftermath Season 1 episode 1 rewatch
A live reaction
The bad batch aftermath
So we begin
I completely forgot that they had a clone wars intro for this
Ah Kanan sounding like a 40 year old man
And here they come!
Ah POV shot my beloved
God they are so badass
God I am already getting emotional over fucking nothing lol
Tech no you can’t say the C-word
You gotta appreciate all these battles where they are working together it only happens like 3 times in the entire show
God captain grey sucks
lol Tech doesn’t even look up from his data pad when he is introduced by Kanan. He is literally me.
Any orders or shall we do what we do? God what a great line
Oh yay! Order 66!
And everything continued to go down hill from this point onward
smh rebels was contradicted in rebels he said her last words were run not Caleb! I can’t believe they would get this wrong. My day is ruined
Also I am literally just writing all my thoughts out as they happen I’ll have a lot more succinct post later.
Even this early I cannot get over how good the animation looks
You have orders from the chancellor? Wrecker doesn’t give a shit lol
Hunter saw Kanan and he wanted to adopt him immediately
Crosshair is an amazing shot anytime he isn’t shooting a good guy. Then he misses a lot. Although you can argue that he is subconsciously resisting the order if you want
Poor Hunter he is trying his best to
God I am so tempted to writer a the bad batch protests Kanan fic. I think Omega and Kanan would have such a fun dynamic.
God the scenery shots all look gorgeous I wish I knew how to take screenshots of Disney plus or else I would show you
I forgot how often Tech talked. I don’t know why
Remember when people said the dead Jedi here was shaak ti? Cause that made no sense. She literally has a green hand.
Also every line of dialogue between Tech and Wrecker is just hilarious
“Oh they seem the same to me” I love you tech
My exceptional mind! Another great line
Info dump more Tech I will enjoy every piece of dialogue you give me
First appearance of Omega!
Interestingly Omega notices when Hunter looks up at her. Hmm makes one think doesn’t it. Tap this one down as the first of “omega is force sensitive” (I won’t let this theory die”
There she is. She is just the best.
Also Omega has the worst haircut ever.
I love all of Omega’s weird little waves. She’s so socially awkward sometimes I love that about her.
Oh boy. Tarkin here he comes to ruin the day
lol the Kaminoasn really are like “bitch what are you talking about”
Oh my man soup clone is gonna steal the scene
I like to blow things up because I like to blow things up. You always know your ways with words tech
I can’t get over how horrible omega’s haircut looks it is so bad
Soup clone or should I say CX2!
I love that this food fight is a regular occurrence
Regular clone coming in With a metal tray!
I wish they had done more with Echo’s PTSD
I will leave you to process the shock of this revelation
Maybe this empire thing isn’t so bad after all (it was)
I just realized what happened to Lama Su? He just dipped out of the shows lol
And wrecker is shot for the first time. First of many. I think it might be four total. Wrecker takes an absolute beating throughout the show
What we did on Felucia. Well now I need a whole show about that
Tech riding the proto dark troopers is such a video game moment
I completely forgot how little Omega is in this first episode until like well over half way through
Crosshair’s knife shot may be my favorite of the entire show.
Ah the fetus room my favorite one on Kamino
I completely forgot Tarkin has met Omega.
Squad does not make a squadron. I thought squadron was just for aircraft and naval vessels? I know this is a nitpick and doesn’t really matter but it stood out
I love how Hunter always goes to Omega’s eye level. I love that about him.
Oh oh! Oh no! Kid you aren’t a soldier. Damnit I am crying now. She grew up to be a soldier! Ah I hate it I am going to bawl my eyes out for the rest of the episode
Saw you complicated man. I don’t hate you like some, but you always go about it the wrong way you drove so many people away you indirectly killed one of the brightest minds on Star Wars, but your heart was in the right place. It’s just how you fight. That’s what is important
I love how Tech knows who Saw is on sight. He knows literally everything I love that about him
Saw also does it. He gets to eye level when talking to children. I love this detail. Not talking down always talking directly.
Crosshair always the contrarian with “not that you know of”
Wait how did Tech know about the conversation with Tarkin where he talks about the five clones. He wasn’t there. There are a few instances throughout the show where characters know things they really shouldn’t
Someone is coming we need to go. That’s two strikes for force sensitive omega (again not letting this die)
God the wide shots on this show are stunning
Do you think it’s a problem that I can recognize all the trailer shots as they appear? lol
Strike 3 for Omega being force sensitive. Although this one you can excuse as just her knowing about the inhibitor chip. There is one that will be coming up that you can’t read as anything other than force sensitive IMO
Oh did I ever tell you how when I first saw Omega in the trailer I thought she was a boy lol.
I love Omega copying her brothers it’s so cute
I can’t get over how bad her hair is. I hate her original hair style. It’s just so bad lol
God even in this episode so early the music is absolutely banging.
Omega knows crosshair is coming before he actually comes. And then she’ll make this amazing shot. Omega is force sensitive. Nothing says she isn’t in the show. And so I will go to my grave believing it. Canon be damned
Also why is the Coruscant guard on Kamino? What happened to the gray colored Kamino police clones?
That’s a second shot for wrecker. Dude just keeps getting beaten the shit out of. Already planting the seeds for that inhibitor chip activating later
And there is the shot. Followed by shots that go completely off the mark. Makes one think doesn’t it…
Also Nala Se you sneaky sneaky. I hate you for fives and also love you for helping Omega in the end.
So begins Omega’s adventure. And so begins the beginning of the end for theirs
Next stop Cut Lawquane
God I am excited to go through these episodes. It’s like it’s starting all over again even If I have watched this show a collective 4 times lol.

HOFAS Review (+ a stream of consciousness...)
With a full 24 hours to sit with finishing HOFAS I have some thoughts and will likely sit with all of it a while longer to make all that I'm thinking coherent...
TLDR: I didn't like this book. I thought it was an unprecedented miss from SJM. If that take might upset you, please, ignore me! I'm genuinely really, really happy if after two years folks felt like this was a huge win. Genuinely.
But the broad strokes are:
I was a CC girl. I saw a lot of folks had a hard time with CC2 and I think I was in the camp of "actually, mostly liked it, but def ballooned by the last 200 pages (which were fire)." I love CC1. CC in particular was the series to finally convince me to start recruiting my friends into the SJM world. Over two years me and my friends are closer than ever, reading all kinds of fantasy. It's my fave thing in the world. But, other than ACOTAR 1, this is probs the only book of hers I actively dislike. It's firmly slotted CC into my third place for all of her series when it used to rank 2nd.
I've seen a lot of folks frame it as: you're disappointed because it wasn't ACOTAR, this was a book for the theorists, you spent two years overhyping what this could be, etc. I suppose I accept the last point to some extent. I came into this book a bigger fan of CC than of the whole of ACOTAR... I genuinely wanted Crescent City, not ACOTAR. And, if this account is any evidence, I am a big theory girlie. This was a hastily written, chaotically paced, surface level mess that kept itself afloat with gratuitously long infodumps. My love of theories did me no favors (I got a lot of things right) and I realized that because there was no emotional connection in this book the "wins" felt completely lackluster. For a book that deals in quite a bit of soul talk... it felt soulless.
This book misses what SJM really excels at as an author - incredible characterization. She might have a cast of 10 people, but we know all of them, love all of them. The absolutely batshit plots that have been layered over 15 books are always grounded, bolstered, and absorbed through symbiosis via her characters. The way I can, 24 hours later, barely remember plot points is completely attributed their lack of emotional connection to the characters themselves.
For ex, the entire resolution of the Avallen plot and the Flynn siblings earth magic freak out would have had so much more emotional impact if we a) knew Tristan's sister better b) cared about this location that yes we've theorized about but had only just arrived at (and mostly experienced via cave). So it was really written as this moment of catharsis - after some of the most overt, unrelenting info plot dumps for pages on end - that felt unearned.
Essentially, this was almost 900 pages of exclusively plot. And I'm actually so sad that this is effectively goodbye to the leads of this story because, despite spending 900 pages with them, I feel like I barely saw them. It's part of the reason why my fave part of CC3 are the bonus chapters. They're just moments to actually spend with our characters, be reminded of their personalities, their connections, and what they'd do in moments of stillness, weirdness, or kind of perfect mundanity. That atmospheric joy was always one of my favorite parts of falling for the CC crew.
Anyway, for the folks who are like sorry this is for the theorists... I hope this is the last time we get a book like this then. As someone who loves this - not just for SJM books but for all the fantasy series I read - world building without a strong foundation of character is not actually good writing. And this was bad writing - plain and simple. This felt like a checklist. And the glaring quality differences of each of the book's three parts, along with SJM's admission that this version of CC3 was a 5 week rewrite, leads me to believe a lot of this book was like SJM writing herself out of a corner. A means to an end. Also, I've never caught typos in an SJM work and... I caught a lot. Also why did we switch POVs like we were being held at gun point (I wont even get into the Tharion and Ithan of it all).
After that huge reveal in CC2, this book was always gonna be a massive thing to live up to. It needed to lay down so much groundwork for all the worlds, all the future books, to be able to play with. And that mission became of primary importance over the people and the world itself. There were too many plots, far too many characters, and we spent the entire time in what felt like "the future possibility" instead of taking a look around and sending off this main plotline and hanging out for a bit.
At one point I texted my SJM groupchat, all of whom are equally dismayed, like this book is essentially 4 infodump coversations and then every character going and telling 4 more characters that conversations and so on. And inexplicably we had to be present for every instance.
I celebrate the Lidia plotline from this book - the most emotional and satisfying (I still think it could have been done even better). Of course there were sprinklings of other things that were great fun. I read it fast in true SJM fashion. I think I'm only harsh because I only grade the queen against herself... and there were just countless times where I thought, "Sarah you're so much better than this... what am I even reading?"
Anyway, I guess I'm glad to put this chapter to rest. I'm excited for the future of ACOTAR and can only hope she employs the lessons she learned while writing ACOSF (a book with a ton of heart). Also, obviously delighted by the really strong focus on TOG easter eggs for whatever future that might entail (give me Manorian... please Sarah).
I think I'll just need to be in mourning for another second. And tbh, it may be light's out on the desire to ever write a brainstorm theory post ever again. Sad! But also not a big deal in the slightest.

Five nights at Freddy's movie review
Spoiler free version:
I finally saw the FNaF movie (since it premiered here like a week later) and I really wanna talk about it.
It was fun. It's its own story that has some similarities to the games but it works well on its own which is a good thing imo.
It has a good pacing and I didn't get bored.
There are bunch of hints and easter eggs in reference to the games, like a guy is wearing a Midnight Motorist sweater or a dinner is named after Sparky the Dog, a hoax in early fnaf days.
It has violence but it's not too gory, most stuff happens off screen or in shadows.
I also liked the final solution, it was well established.
I do have 2 complains
1. I think most relationships needed more establishment.
2. One character kinda confuses me on their motive.
Overall I'd give it 4/5, though you'll get more of it if you're a fnaf fan.
And some tips. Watch it at home if you can or pick a later date. The movie theater was crowded and I think it hindered my enjoyment.
When you see Sparky's diner, pay attention to the waiter. You won't regret it.
And wait till the end of all credits.
Spoiler review under the cut
I think Mike and Abby needed a bit more time together or thinking of each other to make the scene where Mike realizes how much she means to him more impactful.
I feel like we were told rather shown she likes her brother.
Same goes for relationship between her and aunt Jane. We're told once she doesn't like her but it isn't enough to make her turn on Mike believable to me.
And finally Vanessa and William. The ending implies she's scared of him but we never are shown why.
This segways nicely into my other complain. Vanessa feels inconsistent. She starts out as a friendly police officer who knows tad too much about Freddy's and is revealed to be William's daughter.
What I got is that she vaguely warns the guards of the danger but doesn't tell them what it is. When the animatronics are friendly, she just let's Mike and Abby vibe there but when she learns Mike used Abby to get info on Garrett's kidnapper (her dad) she forbids him from taking Abby there ever again. I'm guessing this is to protect her dad.
But I think we should have had a flashback to her childhood and maybe a scene where she's terrified of going to the pizzeria but the she sees a drawing of Mike and Abby a decides to help.
But enough about stuff I didn't like and more about stuff I loved, in no particular order.
Actors are all really great and they did a fantastic job.
The opening credits are in style of old arcade games, just like in fnaf 2. It genuinely made me so happy to see it.
The cupcake mauling a man was both hilarious and terrifying. You go Carl!
The animatronics are all really expressive, especially Chica, when she smuggly sends Carl the Cupcake to murder a man or when she winks at Mike. Or when Freddy was looking for Mike and tilting his head as if he were listening.
I almost missed MatPat's cameo. I was like: "I know that voice! But from where?" And then he said: "It's just a theory!" and I almost screamed.
I love that the kids have some significance. Even if they dont have names, they still have more to do than they ever did in the games.
Also, it's exactly 5 nights at Freddy's.
1 - Mike arrives and sees the Missing kids for the first time.
2 - Mike gets scratched by Foxy and Vannesa shows up to info dump.
3 - since Max is dead, Mike takes Abby there for the first time. He cleans up the place and Abby meets her friends.
4 - Mike takes Abby there a second time, Vannesa shows up, they build a Fort and Vannessa gets mad.
5 - Mike goes there alone and the movie finale happens.
I noticed the trailer was insanely misleading. Vanessa ends up in the hospital at the end of the movie, but the trailer made it seem it happens somewhere in the middle.
CoryXKenshin cameo was awesome.
The ending credits song is Five Nights at Freddy's by TLT. Woho!!!
And after all the credits roll, we get a few letters spelling out "FIND ME" like in SAVE HIM minigame from fnaf 2.
Theories:
I wonder what happened to Garrett. Is he fully dead? Or is he possessing something, like the puppet?
I hope the next movie is a prequel, maybe told retrospectively by Vanessa while some stuff happens in the present. And the third movie can be a sequel, maybe with older Abby being a guard herself.

Note
Just saw my dad watching a conspiracy theorist on YouTube talking about how there are "Beings of Genos" or some stuff like that that "live among us" and "will one day turn the tables in our favor".
weird, yes. then he started talking about Earth's rings????
he said something like "the seventh ring of Earth - we are discovering this now-" who is we??? how are you discovering this??? source: trust me bro?????
and then.
"we found out (in our language this had the undertone of "through someone else and this is recent info" if that makes sense) that the Incas, Aztecs and Mayans went into the pyramids and vanished."
wow what a guy, he even has time Traveller friends i guess.
makes me sad that my father listens to people like this.
Conspiracy theories are delightful, and the human brain enjoys the chemicals they give it, just like crack cocaine.
Knowing great hidden secrets allows a man to feel superior. It comes in the guise of curiosity and truth-seeking and then poisons any hope of the brain holding onto the tools it needs to actually find truth.
Believe me or not, I have seen first hand, how people reach for the superiority of hidden truths. The information itself, the conspiracy itself never really matters, because the behavior is uniform—fear and arrogance and an attempt to use their hidden knowledge as some kind of leverage.
In the old days, it was witches. Gay people. Communists. Freed slaves. Take your pick. There’s always one group that comes to embody everything they fear and nothing of the original quality. Now we’ve moved on to aliens taking ownership of all your achievements.
Your species were infants, then you struck out in excited fashion. And then….you saw how much it would take and it’s “fuck this shit I’m out” let the aliens build pyramids.
With great power comes great responsibility. Put down the psychological crack, keep hold of systematic rational thought, and learn to self-moderate.
Are we living in a simulation? Who the hell cares? You still die if you get hit by a car. Your consciousness terminates if you stop eating. Who the fuck cares if it’s aliens or special crystals or gods or magic or runny god damned spaghetti. The rules are the same and apply regardless. Preserve history as a means of tending the future. Go about your life. Take care of your loved ones.
Conspiracy theories and vast woven fictions that make you feel particularly clever are about as good for your mental health as a diet of popcorn butter is for your arteries.
We need to start dumping supplements for neurological health into the water supply and forcing people to pass their own mirror test for sentience at this rate.
I have a list of things wrong with my species but it sure as shit isn’t any of your problems.
We are simple. We don’t keep at anything but territory and tormenting humanity. You people make monsters look like little angels staring out from their caves and hollows. Since the day I discovered that changing my diet could dumb me back down to that state, I have debated it. Every single day.
Caves are so much easier than anything you’ve built for yourselves. Such grinding torture. Such dithering fluffy thinking. It’s got to feel horrible for every one of you and yet you plug away.
Yet I eat one hiker who litters and I’m a terrible person.
Humbug
