love experiencing the feeling of loss and being the reason its even there to experience in the first place. seeing my childhood bff's insta posts with a friend we both went to elementary school with where they call themselves besties mourning how we aren't that anymore and its like. bro this is your fault (directed at self). you're the one who's afraid of being a burden and so rarely ever initiates interaction and NEVER actually attempts to set up hangouts, even when she is nothing but friendly and engaging when you talk and repeatedly demonstrates how open she is to hanging out again. you're the one afraid to see her again because you can't bear the possibility of you two being too different to make it work anymore as friends (which, if it was the case, would still be mostly your fault). and then you sit there and mourn all "oh i wish we hadnt grown apart i wish we were still close i wish time hadnt pulled us apart" like. that wasnt time. or it WAS but you didnt have to let it. you did this.
