I just finished reading my own book for the bajillionth time. Hopefully this is the second to last time I have to read it. Yes children, as someone who RARELY rereads books I find editing difficult. I had to get War and Chess all polished up to pay Caren Speckner, my editor, a visit. We're editing for reprint this time.😎 Richard Oakes is currently working on brand new cover art. (Be still my heart!🥰) It's not finished and we're going to have a big reveal later, but just know, his work always makes me feel like I could walk straight into Gishlan. These are all things that need to happen before I sign a contract with anyone.🥵 Making books is hard! But, being out of print y'all have to pay $70 bucks for a used copy on Amazon!😂 (FAT CHANCE!) 'S simply won't do when book 2, Tales From the Gishlan Woods hits the shelves! Stay tuned for frequent updates. We're moving right along! #warandchess #TalesfromtheGishlanWood #GishlanBooks #Gishlan #gishlanandallitsgishlaners #AmEditing #Editing #Author #authorsofinstagram #authorlife #writersofwyoming #thatswywomen #ThatsWY #GoGoshen #Wyoming #Writing #Book #BookLife #ReadersOfInstagram #Bookstagram #IndieAuthor #Indie #authorsofig (at Goshen County, Wyoming) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9GWdSYgbb2/?igshid=h50rhgkmkrum

What a disappointment
Finally had the time to crack open that nice, new bottle of whisky I bought TWO WEEKS ago (before I got sick). Bottle claimed smooth taste, aroma of honey, vanilla, apricot, black walnut, oak, and whatever spice they used. ‘Bold’ flavour with a smooth, lingering finish. Only thing I can smell is maybe the oak or walnut, and as for taste... Well, it has a lingering finish, but that’s the same finish as rubbing alcohol. It’s pretty much just straight burn from first to last. It’s a smooth, solid burn at a level you can adjust to, but it’s just burn. Not much to it other than that. I prefer at least a little bit of flavor to offset the burn. Looks like I’m on the hunt again for a new drink. Or I’m gonna have to start mixing this stuff, which I’m loathe to do cuz it’s a canadian whisky. In other news, I’m rereading the Troy Rising series by John Ringo for the bajillionth time, and still enjoying the hell out of it. The sarcasm is refreshing. Now if I could only figure out a few good scenarios to write for my stories, or find a few more good prompts to write. I almost need people to throw ideas at me for the Guild Wars 2 stuff; nothing specific, but seeds of ideas that I might be able to run with. Only thing I got right now is a half-baked fic that’s character development, involving a thunderstorm and an inn. And that might not even go anywhere, since it’s just kinda a test idea.  :p
