Some tips on how tumblr works:

First off, this is an ask. Other people can send in asks either anonymously (like me right now! Sorry, I'm shy) or with their account name attached. (You can turn off anonymous asks and/or asks altogether if you'd like, it's up to personal preference). Asks are kind of like little messages people send in that you respond to and post on your blog.

Reblogging is how everything happens. It's basically taking a post and putting it on your blog. You can reblog and add your own comment or tags (everyone can see whatever you add to a post, so make sure it's something you're okay with other people seeing!) or just reblog a post on its own, without tags or commentary. Tags are used for organizational purposes and/or adding commentary to a post without being too obtrusive (think of adding a comment like speaking directly to the OP of the post, while tags are kind of like whispering to a friend). If you add a tag to a post/reblog, you can click on the tag and see what other people are posting! Tag spamming is strictly against TOS, so please don't do that, as users will report your account and tags will become clogged up with unrelated posts. Only use relevant tags for your posts; only tag characters and fandoms that show up in your post. For example, if I make a post about Darth Vader from Star Wars, I would only tag it with tags like #star wars and #darth vader. I would NOT tag it with #star trek or #luke skywalker, since those aren't mentioned in the post.

You can turn off the visibility for your likes and who you're following. This way, no one can see the posts you're liking or who you're following. Nobody can ever see your followers list/amount or anything like that, so followers don't mean much here. Any blog could have any amount of followers and anyone could be following them. Liking posts doesn't do much for its engagement, so if you want a post to be seen, you have to reblog it!

Your dashboard shows you posts/reblogs from people you follow. There are optional settings like "based on your likes" and "best stuff first" (this one I personally would suggest turning off, since the traditional dashboard is in chronological order and this setting can make the dash a little wonky) that can add posts to your dash from people you aren't following, and you can choose to follow tags which will then show you posts from those tags on your dash. Tumblr doesn't really have an algorithm, everything is up to you! You have to find the stuff you're interested in and go from there, following accounts and reblogging posts!

Unfortunately, tumblr has a bit of a bot problem. Be careful with new followers, many bots have malicious links and... 18+ content. Real tumblr users will have icons/headers/bios that look like real people wrote them. Bots will usually only ever have default icons/headers and nsfw content on their blogs. The best way to handle these bots is to report (report for spam, not for adult content) and block.

i'm the one who made the star trek pride post, i was wondering how to add alt text to an image properly? i've always struggled with it, that post is literally the only time i figured out desktop captions as well

Okay, let me first say that I am an exclusive mobile user, I'm not sure if it differs on the desktop instead of the app. And, in reference to the pride post, several people pointed out that it did have text, you just needed to click onto the image to see the caption. But that just wasn't there on mobile, I click the image and it's just an image with no caption.

However, I know on mobile that there are three little dots you can click to add it.

Clicking that will give you a small box to write your description.

"Alt text. Adding a description of this image makes your post more accessible for individuals using a screen reader."

You get 4000 characters, so spaces, punctuation, and spelling matter.

Once added there will be a small box in the corner. [The pink bear photo has a small black box in the left hand corner labelled, "alt."]

However, I always find that the box is quite faded, I don't notice it when I do use mobile browser unless the OP or someone tags the post as, "ID in alt."

But, with the added text, you get given a box of your description in the middle of the image post. [Image description: A photo of a light pink water bottle, it is shaped like a bear, has two black eyes on its face and a small black nose. The tummy of the bear says, "smile" in a pink font."]

Although, plain text captions are always the preferred method of writing an image description. Alt text can be quite glitchy, people also have trouble with using it, so plain text captions are the preferred way to go.

And if you do use alt, and I come across the post, I will just copy and paste your caption into plain text anyway.

Birth:

You didn't know what hurt more the contractions or trying pushing the baby out. He will be outside of the delivery room with the crew. Whitebeard would be waiting and anticipating the birth of the baby. When the baby if finally born hearing the first small cries coming from the room. He will go into the infirmary and see the baby when he finds out its a girl he has this pride look on his face. The crew can hear on the other side as well you could hear the mall cheering. He will be the first to hold his daughter. Whitebeard would learn a new kind of love this father and daughter bond wanting to make sure she has anything she needed. He can't pull his eyes away from her. Holding her as he walking towards you, leaning down kissing your lip with his free hand moving the hair from your face. "I'm so proud of you. You brought our daughter into this world now our family is complete."

Crocodile made it clear to you in the beginning to never disturb him while he is working. You always followed his rules. He was a bit of a stick in the mud but you fell for him. Crocodile doesn't know much you loved him. You wanted to tell him how much you loved him. Shuffling through some his paperwork he had on his desk. He would glance up every now and then at you. You were next to the big glass window where the Bananawani swam you observed the huge creatures as they glided in the water. "such a beautiful creature." softly saying Crocodile was able to hear you.

"A creature that can swallow you whole in one bite." He looked down at the paperwork once again. Walking to his desk sitting on the edge. "Doll face have a seat on the chair I" trying to go through these contracts."

"Can I say something before I do?"

"Go on?" he left out a cloud of smoke out.

"I know a girl who’s madly in love with you. If I wasn’t just shy, I would tell you." touching the cold metal of his hook you blushed.

A smug smile peered on his face. "I know you do that's no secret doll. You know I feel the same way right?"

"I know now." your heart skipped a beat. You felt you inflated his ego just a bit more now. The smug look on his face stood until he finished the paper work.

Marco was in his office currently working on some paper work. All the paper he was been doing you haven't seen him smile in the past 3 days and it did disappoint you not seeing that smile on his face it was something you looked forward to seeing when waking up in the morning and throughout the day. Thinking of a idea to see his sweet smile. Having all your ducks lined up in a row you made it to his office. Knocking on his open door. Seeing you caught his attention. "Hello little bird." his weary smile. "Did you need something?" tilting his head towards you. Here it goes.

Sanji was always I mean always used his pick up lines on you. That was one reasons you both ended up together in the first place. His sweet charming and romantic personality brought you closer to him. You were always flattered by his pick up lines but you decided to use on on him this time. You were keeping him company in the kitchen as he was looking at the recipe book and making some tweaks to his liking as he started adding some of ingredients to a bowl. You took ahold of the recipe book pretending to look at it before saying. "oh that's interesting." you said looking at the book.

"What is interesting sweetheart?" he continued to mix the ingredients .

"I always thought happiness started with an ‘h,’ but it turns out mine starts with ‘u.’"

"you are the cutest thing ever in the whole wide world you just made my day _______!!" He hugged you as he twirled around with you still in his arms.

"ahhh Sanji I'm getting dizzy!" you felt the room spinning you were holding onto the man for dear life once he stopped trying get your footing back and stable.

Okay, but that still means someone's out since there's five of these cards. I have a theory here that I think can be supported by taking into consideration the effects of the cards shown in the OP. @aishasofonisba and @sibbinthegivengibbon I hope it's okay to tag you because I'm super excited about this thanks to you two! This turned out to be a long post but I hope you find it compelling!

So let's go wth Kisara, the Maiden, having four family members, which means there'd have to be a fifth BEWD for each family member to represent one. We've seen lots of cool variations on the BEWD, but only four Original Flavor BEWDs, and one three-BEWD fusion, across all the canon (who knows what could've been done if the fourth BEWD ever came up in a significant way after season 1/Duelist Kingdom).

So my theory is that Kisara's four family members died, and all their power ended up transferring to her. That's why there's no BEWD specifically for her--she is the soul and power of the BEWD, and that power manifests as four dragons that collectively serve as a memorial to and a representation of the power of her family. So let's look at the cards.

First of all, they're all pretty weak cards in terms of attack and defense, which I think supports the idea that they were a monastic sort of family, or maybe some of guardian/keeper family in a similar vein as the Ishtar family, except instead of guarding a tomb they were keeping the power of the BEWD. Basically, they're not heavy on fighting. Sure, there's the Guard, but that's exactly it. He's a guard, not a solider or a warrior--his title implies his fighting is for defensive purposes, which is supported by the fact that he has the highest attack of them all but still a pretty weak one. Moreover, all three of the male cards in general have a pretty standard defensive strength, but only two have any attack to speak of.

That's okay though, because each of them is able to call on the power of the BEWD, and who's gonna argue with a dragon? I'm going to summarize each of the four's effects as it relates to the BEWD: •Priest - allows the possibility of summoning a BEWD from your graveyard •Priestess - allows the possibility of adding a BEWD to your hand upon being targeted by a card during either player's turn •Sage - allows the possibility of summoning a BEWD from your deck •Guard - allows the possibility of summoning a BEWD from your hand

Each of them is pretty powerful, but Kisara/the Maiden is by far the most powerful of them all, because her card allows you to: •NEGATE AN ATTACK •upon negating an attack, you can special summon a BEWD--and very specifically a BEWD--from your hand, your deck, OR your graveyard! Welcome to summoning without limits! •you can also special summon from the same areas if this card is just targeted by an effect or card, during either player's turn

So Kisara/the Maiden is not only an insanely powerful card, her card also combines elements of the effects of the other four. Which supports my theory that all their power transferred to her.

So in terms of a story I'd say that her family were like, monastic guardians or caretakers or servants of the BEWD--which perhaps wasn't a physical dragon, but maybe a very powerful dragon spirit--and in exchange for their service they were able call on its power in times of need (dragons are intelligent creatures, mythically speaking). Each of them had their own strengths and ways of manifesting that power. However, something terrible happened and Kisara's parents and brothers died, but not before passing on their power to her in the hopes that she'd be collectively strong enough to survive. And she was, for a time.

Eventually she makes it to Egypt, and the events of the story go down as we know them. Kisara dies, but because her soul and power were sealed inside the BEWD tablet, she and the BEWD are able to survive even past the death of the final host.

So that's why there's four BEWDs, because Kisara has the power of four BEWD vessels. The only power that was unique to her was being able to negate an attack and change positions; there was nothing about summoning a BEWD that wasn't somehow possible within the other four cards. In short, the power within her split back into four very powerful dragon cards.

OMG! I have a theory...

We have no idea who Kisara is, why she appeared in ancient Egypt, right? She has white hair and blue eyes like other card characters…

This family must have been from a monastery(?) Blue-eyed White Dragon and they all died under unknown circumstances.  Only Kisara survived and wandered the world looking for her place :<
