merry christmas !!
i was just going to come on here and tell you guys what i got !
so first i got some very cute clothes !! i've been trying to dress the way i actually want to dress recently without being self conscious, and my family has noticed, so they’ve started to gift me stuff that’s more my style to help me out, so i really appreciate that !
then i got a daisy marc jacobs perfume since i always steal my sister's perfume lol it's super cute, and i love cutesy perfumes
they also gifted me DOC MARTENS !!!! they’re like a super cute brown shade. they wanted to get me some of those skechers jammers but couldn’t find any, so they opted out for the docs, and they’re so cute; i love them
and last but definitely not least...!!! i got a treadmill !! i always like to get at-home workout equipment, but my stepper that i had broke since it was an old one from the thrift store lol though i do think it can be fixed, i just haven’t tried, so i've just been going to the gym recently and walking on the treadmill for an hour, but i literally HATE being around multiple people, and i ESPECIALLY hate working out with so many people around because i get severely anxious, so they bought me an at-home one so i no longer have to go YAYY !!!
Tumblr media
oh also, i just posted my first narusasu post, and if you couldn’t tell by my user (na = (na)ruto, su = sa(su)ke, nix = my name), i literally LOVE them. they are, in fact, my number one ship, so this def isn’t the first time y'all will see me talking about them. in fact, i had another version of the moodboard i just posted that i was debating on posting instead of the one i actually went with, but i will be posting the other version later since i really like it, though i’ll probably change the quote, but anyways, i just wanted to tell y'all to get used to me talking about them because i quite literally will never stop
merry christmas and happy holidays ! hope y’all have had an amazing day <3

Yk, Howl's sitting on my hard disk giving me a side eye as I come across his movie being mentioned for the third time today. Maybe I should give it a watch 😛
Silly talk aside, I found some of your posts very relatable as a NEET aspirant myself. I was curious if you get the blues while preparing for this exam. If you do how do you get over it?
Oh btw, hi.
Well hello there anon! First of all, yes. you must give it a watch. I'm sure you'll enjoy it :) (maybe not now if you're busy with the syllabus but since it's the holidays mayhaps you have more free time?)
Oh and the blues, yes, it comes with the package right :') I think I finally crashed out at the beginning of the month and was certain this was gonna be the worst Christmas in all of my 18 yrs but that didn't happen so here we are :D
What did happen was, my dad, who works abroad, came home for the holidays and I also met my 3 best friends after a really reaaallly long time. So, for starters, if you feel like you're really starting to lose it, maybe take some time off to meet your loved ones? Also, try getting out of your house/your usual study spot. Being in the same spot can be very tiresome and boring so get moving O_o
Oh, and I can't stress this one enough, try. journaling. And not the demure, cutesy, gratitude one, more like a venting one? Like yell, scream, cry, all that good stuff onto the pages, you'll feel a lot better 😌 just trust me with this one bro. (no shade against gratitude ones tho, I used to do them but in these trying times, I feel better after a good vent tbh)
Some other stuff you can do is try spending more time with your pets or siblings (if you have any-), read a good book (a few chapters a day will do), and like I said in the beginning, maybe watch a movie? (I won't recommend starting a series now tho, cause that can become addicting and take too much time, and we don't have much time before the exam :')
Phew, that was a lot, but I hope it helps :) and good luck with your NEET prep!! 🐝🍀

Hello and howdy peeps it is yo girl again with another post but this time its dolls yeah that's right dolls! Okay but really I just wanted to do a post about discontinued dolls because I thought it would be nice and fun and since I haven't posted in a while I thought it would be a good thing to come back with and well here it is.
Numbah 1. Novi Stars
Tumblr media
I didn't have these dolls as a kid and I didn't really like the look of them although now I think they look really rad and honestly alien dolls? Amazing idea! I am not sure but I think these came out near the end of Bratz. They were made in 2012 and didn't last very long and ended in 2014 and like I said as a kid I didn't really like the look of these dolls so I can understand why kids didn't really flock to these dolls maybe since well where would they fit in like with me I played with Bratz with other Bratz i never played with another doll and a Bratz doll it just didn't feel like it fit in that universe but anyways the doll line only had 20 dolls and the names they came up with are very smart and I really think it's cool. If these were to come back I would probably buy them as long as it's a reasonable price. I can't see these coming back anytime soon but hopefully one day they will but since they I assume weren't as influential or popular as Bratz it will probably take time for them to come back to the world.
Numbah 2. Lalaloopsies
Tumblr media
These tiny (and big) dolls also came out around the end of my doll phase or I guess the best way to put it is when I was not getting into the newer dolls and toys. Lalaloopsies were these plastic ragdoll type dolls by again none other than mga entertainment they came in small and in some series big some also had hair and some were just plastic hair. I had some although I didn't play with them much but they were very charming and different from the other dolls I really like this era of dolls because they weren't meant to be humans they were just whatever like above aliens and just really whatever. These dolls also came with super adorable playsets and little pets just like another doll I will be talking about later on this list. Pretty sure I had almost all of the Lalaloopsies in this photo but I do not have them on me. There are at least 156 residents in Lalaloopsy land and 88 of them are tall, 39 are mini and 35 are little there are 150 females and 8 are males. They also have a or had a show on Netflix. Do I think these dolls could come back? Absolutely yes.
Numbah 3. My Scene
Tumblr media
My Scene were a doll line from 2002 made by Mattel. They look like the popular Barbie doll but with larger heads and have more similar fashion to Bratz, Mattel and Barbie's enemy/rival and have 3 movies (also is it just me or does the art style remind me of the show 6 teen?) Later through the years they had a decline and sadly they were discontinued. Do I think these dolls can come back? Difficult I feel like they could as long as the clothes are from good fabric and stylish and a part of me feels absolutely not. Mattel has had a really good kid friendly image with Barbie and I feel like a lot of parents would freak if they saw these doll. I didn't play with them as a kid actually I didn't even know about their existence AT ALL! But since I was really into Bratz I could totally have seen myself playing with these dolls as a kid i think their fashion is amazing and again I would love to see them make a comeback.
Numbah 4. Bratzillaz
Tumblr media
I know this should be criminal to have Bratz under a Mattel doll I apologize but I wanted to save the best for last. So Bratzillaz are Bratz but they are witches with magical powers and were made to compete with Mattel's Monster High Dolls at the time. They were made in 2012 but later discontinued while Bratz were being rebuilt since a lot of parents didn't like the look of the Bratz. These dolls were meant to be the cousins of the Bratz and they also had a web show. I had quite a few of these dolls maybe one day I will make a post about the dolls I had idk it will probably be a mini post but these dolls were pretty cool. I loved how the legs, hands and arms could move and the fabric they used was pretty nice. Do I think they could make a comeback? Eh maybe one day but I think MGA should just focus on the Bratz when they can before these dolls.
Numbah 5. Yummi Land
Tumblr media
Okay alright so I know this photo only shows one doll and that's because I had this doll. Her name is Mindy Mint Chocolate Chip and she smells like mint and like every Yummi Land doll they smell like what the character is named. This is yet another MGA doll line one I would absolutely love to come back why? Because I feel like they weren't around for a long time and I think they are absolutely lovely and different and I although I have said I didn't flock to many dolls that were different I feel like this is one I could see younger kids loving and I would totally buy them. These dolls were introduced in 2006 with a movie called Betsy Bubblegum' Journey through Yummi land. The doll lines included Soda pop girls, creme soda pop girls, candy pop girls, flower pop girls, ice cream pop girls, smoothie pop girls, sundae pop girls and a holiday special doll named Paris Peppermint Creme and another called birthday pop girls. I do not know how many of these dolls there are but just like Lalaloopsies they come in small and big. The doll I owned was a big one. What I loved about these dolls is that they came in bottles idk if anyone else gets interested by how things are packaged but for me I love it so these dolls coming in bottles were just really cool and if they ever made a comeback I hope they keep the bottle idea which now I will answer, do I think these dolls can come back? Yes. They are cute and I think a lot of people especially kids would love them because they smell nice and are just really pretty even the small ones could come back I think. I don't know how small those ones were but Barbie Peekaboos and Polly Pocket have been a thing therefore I think these dolls could make a return.
I grew up with a lot of dolls and I think some of them had really cool ideas and were different and I think that's cool. I really like how some of them were really girly and just cutesy and I think little girls would absolutely love Yummi Land dolls. I wish I had more growing up but I only had one although I remember another girl who was older than me as a kid getting one too I think she had blonde hair with all that said I will have the linkla below and I will see you next time

More Than Friends
Tumblr media
a/n: Whether you have someone to dote on today or not, happy Valentine’s day~ Not only is this a not-so-little something for the holiday of love, it’s also a thank you for letting me reach 300 followers <3
pairing: best friend!Yeosang x genderneutral!reader
genre: fluff
word count: 2684
warnings: high school AU, friends to lovers, Wooyoung is no.1 wingman (or at least tries to be), Yeosang is absolutely whipped, reader is unfortunately very oblivious
-----
January, and with it your winter break, had come and gone - you probably wouldn’t have even realized it was February if it wasn’t for the excessive amount of heart-shaped, overly cutesy decorations that were littered across the hallways of your school.
You groaned internally, making your way past your classmates and towards your locker with a sigh. February itself wasn’t what bothered you so much, what made you positively abhor the month was how lovey-dovey everyone around you acted during that time.
You’ve never really had any interest in relationships and you made sure to make that clear, which is why you were surprised to find a neatly sealed light pink envelope in your locker.
You looked around subtly, wondering if the person who put it there was still around before quickly deducing that they probably weren’t. Curious, you turned over the envelope in your hands, just in case it was meant for someone else entirely. All you found however was your name with a heart and a tiny butterfly doodled next to it, which meant that this letter was indeed meant for you.
You chuckled endearingly, although mildly disappointed that your secret admirer’s handwriting was too ambiguous for you to correlate with a person. Before you were able to lament it more, a quick glance at your phone in your hand revealed to you that you were going to be late if you didn’t get moving.
Stuffing the letter into your pocket, you quickly gathered your books for your classes and booked it to your classroom after pushing your locker shut again.
You couldn’t focus at all however because you were unable to think about anything else other than who the person who had slipped the letter into your locker before you arrived that morning might be, and - more importantly - what exactly the letter was going to say.
Too occupied with your daydreaming, you failed to notice your usually calm and composed childhood best friend fidgeting under the desk behind yours.
Lunch couldn’t come soon enough for either of you, especially not for your mutual close friend Wooyoung who had been practically glued to both yours and Yeosang’s hips the moment you both left the classroom.
You heaved a sigh as you slumped down into a chair at a free table in the cafeteria, Wooyoung seating himself opposite you with Yeosang right next to him.
“What’s gotten into you today, Y/n? You seem so unusually out of it!” Yeosang elbowed his friend, at which the younger whined exaggeratedly but didn’t comment.
You pulled the pink letter out of your pocket and flicked it at Wooyoung to let him inspect the item before handing it back to you, his head tilted in confusion as he cocked a brow at you.
“You’re this worked up about a letter of all things? Don’t you normally just throw love letters and stuff away every year without even looking at them? What’s so different about this one?”
You shrugged nonchalantly while Yeosang poked at his food, listening more intently to the conversation than he allowed himself to let on, “No idea, Woo. Maybe I should just open it and find out for myself what’s so special...?”
You muttered the last part more to yourself than either of the males sitting at the table but they both still heard you clearly, prompting Wooyoung to nod enthusiastically and offer some what he hoped to be encouraging words, “Yeah, you totally should! Worst case scenario, you can just politely reject whoever wrote that.”
“Good point, I might as well... Here goes nothing.” You murmured under your breath, carefully opening the envelope before pulling out not only a piece of paper but also a small tube of strawberry chapstick which would’ve likely dropped to the floor if you hadn’t caught it in time.
You discreetly slipped it into your school bag after inspecting it briefly before your hands quickly unfolded the letter and dropped the envelope onto the table carelessly before beginning to read.
~~~~~~~~~~
My dearest Y/n,
I hope you don’t mind me confessing like this. I’m simply too nervous to voice my feelings out loud...
To yourself, you may not appear as someone special. To me however, you’re like a celebrity. You’re the most important person to me, and I wish we were closer than we already are as of now.
You’re a fresh breath of air to me, you’re not like anyone else. Everytime I talk to you I learn something new, and I think that’s beautiful.
Just like everything else about you. Your eyes remind me of stars the entire galaxy with how bright they shine, and I feel like I could get lost in them if I looked for long enough.
Your smile can light up an entire room, and frequently lifts my mood so effortlessly that it leaves me wondering how you continue doing it. Your voice is like music to me, and your laugh is my favorite song. And I want to be the reason that song keeps playing.
So, if you’d be willing to give me a chance to do so... meet me at the cat café later today after class. You know the one.
I hope I’ll see you there ♡
~~~~~~~~~~
You were so engrossed in the words on the paper that you didn’t look up in time to notice your friends’ reactions as you read before they recomposed themselves; a faint hint of a blush still tinted Yeosang’s cheeks while Wooyoung’s form relaxed after briefly tensing up slightly.
You folded the letter again and slipped it back into its envelope before, once more, dropping it on the table. You smacked Wooyoung’s hand away when he tried to reach for the letter, causing him to whine at you again as his lips formed a pout when you finally looked up at him.
If his eyes didn’t betray his curiosity, you would’ve said he was simply sulking because you hit him, but you knew better than to be that naive.
“No Wooyoungie, you won’t get to read it. At least not now.” You narrowed your eyes at your longtime friend as he huffed in disappointment, “But why~?”
“Because I can’t trust you to keep your mouth shut. The entire school would know about this by the end of the day.” You bit back, smiling triumphantly at the stunned silence Wooyoung offered in return.
“Touché.” Yeosang murmured, pushing his tray away to rest his arms on the table instead while he eyed you, wondering if you had any suspicions about the letter’s author.
As if reading his mind, your mouth opened to speak and Yeosang couldn’t help but focus on your lips, although he kept it as discreet as he possibly could.
“I want to meet up with the person behind these words. Something feels different about them... I initially suspected it to be Hongjoong, but his handwriting is nowhere near this neat."
Wooyoung snickered at that, but allowed you to continue and voice your conclusion.
"So for now, my secret admirer is a complete mystery to me."
"To you, and to everyone else." Yeosang added under his breath. He had a tendency to be quiet, so you weren't put off by this whatsoever.
"Indeed, Sangie...~" Yeosang felt his heart skip a beat at both the nickname and the somewhat affectionate lilt in your tone.
He was promptly yanked back out of his reverie however when you collected your belongings and stood to leave after checking the time on your phone, his eyes not straying from your form in the slightest, “In any case, we should probably get back to class.”
You turned on your heel and walked out of the cafeteria with Wooyoung in tow, the latter noticing his friend staying behind for a little longer than necessary but not commenting on it as Yeosang beamed, visibly lovestruck. It was a miracle to him and Wooyoung both how you didn’t take any of the countless hints he had given over the past few months, whether they were intentional or not being up for debate.
Completely zoned out, Yeosang jumped in his seat when the bell rang, prompting him to hastily grab his backpack and make a beeline for the classroom he shared with you, with quick steps.
He saved himself from tripping over his own two feet more than just once before he finally slid into the seat behind yours, breathless. You turned to face him, quirking an eyebrow inquisitively.
“Are you alright, Yeosang?”
It was a simple question, and yet the clear concern laced in had the blonde’s heart lurching in his chest once more as he nodded with a reassuring smile. He hated how cliché his crush presented itself, as if he was just hopelessly infatuated with you.
This was absolutely the case, as the way his heart rapidly pounding in his chest proved, but that was beside the point.
You thought it was suspicious that he didn’t seem to trust his voice because it was in no way like him to be this flustered - or perhaps you should rather say insecure. You shrugged it off though and turned back around to focus on your lecture, thinking he may just be feeling a bit under the weather.
Both of you found yourselves unable to keep your minds from going off-track, however. Yeosang was still excited about the prospect of possibly having a very real chance to be with you the way he wished to, while you kept wondering about who your secret admirer may or may not be.
The end of your torturous classes didn’t come soon enough for either of you, Wooyoung mysteriously nowhere to be found when you and Yeosang finally left the school building. You were relieved to find the crisp morning air had warmed up considerably over the course of the day, somewhat surprising considering the time of the year, and exhaled deeply, pulling a soft endearing chuckle from Yeosang’s lips.
You grinned at your friend, having always quite enjoyed the melodious sound of his voice before your expression shifted to a miniscule frown when you were eventually forced to part ways with him. Because no matter how close the two of you were, you still lived in different neighborhoods.
You turned to face him with a small smile, adjusting the shoulder strap of your bag before wrapping your arms around Yeosang in a tight but warm hug before meeting his eyes again, “I’ll call you tonight and tell you how my date went, yeah? See you tomorrow, Yeosangie~”
You waited for him to nod and boldly leaned up to peck his cheek before walking off in the direction of your house, not aware of the way you had flustered the poor boy. If it had been possible he would’ve melted into a puddle right then and there on the sidewalk, his face flushed a bright red from calling your meetup a date as he walked on in the direction of the cat café he wanted to meet you at.
He could only hope that you’d stick to your word, and actually show up.
Meanwhile you squealed in excitement when you rounded the corner, making a run for it down the street to your home. You slammed the door shut behind yourself, thankful that noone else was home presently so you could get ready and calm down your nerves in peace.
When you had finally made yourself look somewhat more presentable than you did while wearing your school uniforn, satisfied with your appearance before halting your steps when your open school bag caught your eye. After a moment of hesitant consideration, you spread the strawberry chapstick you were gifted across your lips.
Fully content now as you took one last look in the mirror, you grabbed your phone and keys to stuff into your pockets as you left your house to make your way to the café a few blocks away.
When you arrived there, greeted casually due to being a regular at the establishment along with your friends, you were led into the outside area where the cats were allowed to roam freely.
You would often jokingly call it the ‘fluffy garden’ when you were younger due to the amount of felines you’d be able to interact with. Now however, you paused mid-step upon realizing what you were seeing.
Yeosang, your childhood best friend and secret crush, lying on a blanket on the grass. He had ditched the school uniform’s jacket for his own, personal favorite jacket, you mused as you took in his posture. He had one arm hooked underneath his head while the other rested on his side, his hand petting the small cat that had positioned itself on his chest and purred from his attention.
As if sensing your presence, the animal licked Yeosang’s fingers gently before scrambling to hop off of him and run to play with its furry friends instead. You regarded the scene with a fond look in your eyes before heat rushed to your cheeks when Yeosang finally turned to face you, flashing you the breathtaking shy smile you adored so much before beckoning you over and gesturing to the space on the blanket next to him.
You watched him turn to meet your eyes when you positioned yourself next to him, a smile tugging at your lips.
“So... I take it you were the one who ‘sent’ the letter, Sangie~?” The male in question nodded sheepishly, secretly finding it cute how you never stayed consistent with the nicknames you gave to people. “Yeah, it was me. Wooyoung helped though... the chapstick was his idea, among other things.”
You hummed at the nervous laugh that slipped past his lips as he waited for your reaction, “I expected as much. A mystery how he managed to not snitch, truly...” You trailed off, reaching to brush a strand of hair out of Yeosang’s handsome face. “What’s also a mystery is how neither of us seem to have picked up on the signals we tried to send each other.”
Yeosang tilted his head slightly, subconsciously leaning into your touch as he eyed you with somewhat furrowed brows, “But I thought you weren’t interested in relationships, Y/n?”
“I did say that, but I’m making an exception for you. I guess what I’m saying is... I like you back, Yeosangie. As in... like like you.”
You bit your lip in anticipation of his next move, practically seeing the cogs turning in his head before his face lit up with relief.
“I’m so glad to hear that, I was actually even worried you had changed your mind and wouldn’t come in the first place.” Yeosang took a deep breath as he took in your shy but genuine expression, “Can I... would you let me kiss you?”
You nodded, gently tugging him close by means of his jacket before he even had time to react. Your kiss was clumsy, as expected from two people your age, but you wouldn’t have it any other way. It was perfect, just like you were to each other.
He grinned at you when he pulled back, “Did you put on the strawberry chapstick~?” You giggled in response, “Mhm, I sure did. What’s interesting though is that you taste like vanilla... and I happen to like vanilla~”
You spent the rest of the afternoon and evening talking and playing with the cats until it was time for the café to close, and you left to make your way back home. Together this time, hands interlocked.
Yeosang kissed you again lovingly when you reached your doorstep and promised to pick you up before school the following day before walking off into the night, a bright smile on his face.
You had barely set foot into your house and heard the door click closed behind you, when your phone vibrated in your hand. You didn’t need to check to know who was calling you at this hour, amusement filling you as you heard your now-boyfriend’s voice on the other end of the line.
“Well Y/n, how was your date~?”

Are there any Care Bears things you’re hoping to get this year for the holidays?
I am so glad you asked! So in general I’m not super huge into Care Bears merch. I do have some plushies and a few figures, but not many. However, my one big main weakness is...Care Bear T Shirts!  I’ve collected so many over the last five years or so that it’s embarrassing. And I still can’t help but get more! However, I feel too embarrassed to ask my family or my friends for them.  Even though a lot of my friends know I like Care Bears, I don’t talk about them too much, and it would just feel too weird for me to ask for Care Bear stuff from them. So, over these last few months I’ve been saving my money up, and I just recently ordered five new Care Bear T Shirts that will be arriving soon...I think next Monday or Tuesday. I got them from Hot Topic!  They have SOOOOO many super cute and awesome Care Bear T shirts.  They have some in the UtM style, some in the old comic book style, and a whole lot in a more standard design.  Honestly, there are probably about 30 of them I feel like I could get. But here are the five that I decided on.  For Care Bear T Shirts, I put them in 3 categories:  1.  Only wear at home because I don’t feel comfortable wearing in public, 2. Wear in public but only when I won’t be interacting with people much (like in parks and outdoor places), 3.  Wear anywhere For my shirts, some of them are super cute, but they feel a little too “soft” for me to feel like I want everyone seeing me in them, especially since I’m a guy.  I know I shouldn’t care what anyone thinks, but it can be hard.  But there are others that I think give off a fun or “cool” or joking vibe, even if it only comes across as ironic. So here are the five! https://bit.ly/2IWAzQy I really love this one!  This is one I can definitely wear in public.  It has Good Luck and I just think it’s kind of cool!  He looks cute, but it kind of gives off a bit of a cool vibe as well. https://bit.ly/3abxiYN This one is the other completely public one.  Grumpy shirts are great, because I feel very comfortable wearing them as a guy.  They feel a little more masculine and you can always write it off as being kind of surly, which everyone can relate to. https://bit.ly/3agmwRa This is a “middle” shirt.  It’s a little on the cutesy side, especially since it has Tendy.  This one is just neat! https://bit.ly/3aegiRz I REALLY like this one, but since it is more on the feminine side, I’ll probably just wear this one at home.  I actually don’t have any shirts of the pink or purple Bears, so this will be my first one!  I MIGHT consider wearing this one out because Tendy’s face and the wording kind of gives off that ironic vibe, but I’m not sure. https://bit.ly/2WkozeI This is my guilty pleasure shirt, and tbh, I’m SO EXCITED for it.  I can’t help it, it’s SO CUTE, especially in that shade of yellow, which is the color that I got. It’s kind of embarrassing to admit, but this is kind of like me getting in touch with my “little” side, kind of like how I feel when I watch the second Care Bears movie or cuddle Care Bear plushes.  It just makes me feel like a kid again in a really cozy, comfy, safe way.  I don’t know what it is, but this shirt really makes me feel that way.  This will definitely be one I only wear at home, but I’m super excited for it. So yeah....even though it’s a little weird getting holiday gifts for yourself, I’ve been waiting and waiting to get these for months, so it definitely gives me a little extra holiday cheer!

all of them for john/nic/sharky? (eyes emoji)
1. Who makes the first move and how? Nic. They were a couple of drinks in when they were hanging out, she started talking about her college days where she got up to some adventurous stuff in bed, saw that both her boys were listening very intently so she kissed Sharky and things escalated from there.
2. Who is the most insecure and what makes them feel better? Tied with Sharky and John. John because he’s afraid of losing two of the things that make him happy in life, Sharky because “holy shit these two are beautiful and there’s no way I actually got this lucky, when am I waking up?”
3. Who is the most romantic? John or Nic. They tend to plan anything that happens between them, whether it’s G or R rated and try to make it as pleasant and romantic as possible.
4. Who can’t keep their hands to themselves? All three of them, the buncha sluts.
5. Who says ‘I love you’ first? Sharky, because he word vomits it because the other two said it to each other all the time and wants to be a part of it- even if he didn’t know how badly he did until he says it.
6. Who would they ask if they ever had a threesome? N/A because that’s what they are
7. What do they get up to on a night out? Hanging out and having a few drinks at the Spread Eagle, hanging out at Sharky’s ‘old’ house.
8. What do they like in bed? Anything and everything, but the boys personally like having Nic between them in whatever positions allow for it.
9. What is the most embarrassing thing they have done in front of each other? Sharky brought out the fursuit once and Johnnic couldn’t look him in the eye for days, Nic got absolutely shitfaced and was stumbling all over creation and knocking into everything, and while it’s nothing wrong with it as far as Schnic was concerned, John lost an argument over something with Addie, and he’s absolutely baffled that a woman ‘half as smart as him on a good day’ outsmarted him.
10. What two songs, two books and two luxury items do they take to a desert island?J: “We’ll Meet Again”, “Til There Was You” , the Book of Joseph and... idk some law book, some fancy watch and a fancy jacket for cold nightsN: “Fighter” and “U + Ur Hand”, Austenland and a survival guide, a fancy camper and also a fancy jacket.S: “Disco Inferno” “Stayin’ Alive”, ... honestly he’d probably just bring two porno  mags, and then two expensive things of junk food
11. What do they hide from one another? Nothing. They try to be as much of an open book with each other as possible. That said, when Sharky first got involved with them he was kind of guarded out of fear the other two were just trying to keep things casual but when they told him it was serious/they were keeping it casual because thats what they thought he wanted, everything got cleared up.
12. What first changes when it starts getting serious? Got far more cuddly and stayed longer in bed after sex, otherwise not much since they were close and loving before it.
13. When do they realise they should get together? It’s initially a mess. Nic realizes she’s in love with Sharky just about as much as she’s in love with John, confesses to John fully assuming it’ll end their relationship as much as she doesn’t want to end it, but John doesn’t want to lose her so he suggests inviting them into their bed a few times to try and even things out, but they both sort of realize they’re over-attached to him after the first handful of times they all have sex and before long they end up an actual Thing.
14. When one has a cold, what does the other do? John assumes he’s dying so he’ll be out of commission in bed or the couch and the other two will reluctantly fuss over him. Same goes for Sharky but he tries to tough it out, then makes himself more sick in his effort so the other two have to wrestle him to the nearest surface to rest. Nic gets sick and she tries to power through while taking it easy, but  John and Sharky still absolutely fuss over her and encourage her to take it even easier.
15. When they watch a film what do they choose and why? Who gets the final vote? Nic and Sharky live for action flicks or romcoms, John’s more of a 40-60s classics kind of guy
16. When the zombie apocalypse comes, how do they cope together? Settle in, hope for the best, lay as low as possible.
17. When they find a time machine, where do they go? Find a way to bend the rules where they adopt baby John, Joseph and Jacob before the system takes them,  right around when Joseph starts going mad to try to help him out from a distance or up close before things escalate, oorrr somewhere around the Baptism where John goes to talk some sense into himself so the ball gets rolling slightly quicker and things can change before they get too violent.
18. When they fight, how do they make up? Sex. And then talking it out. Then more sex.
19. Where do they go on their first date? They don’t really have one until they’re well established, but once they build up Prosperity out of the Ranch’s remains, they set up a nice picnic dinner on the roof and watch the sunset. And then bone down.
20. Where do they go on holiday? Once they get on better speaking terms with Joseph/are comfortable traveling north, they head out to the mountains for weekends away.
21. Where do they get nervous about going with one another? Basically the same as the last answer, but this time it’s going north to see Joseph. John and Joseph are working through their issues, John doesn’t want Nic around Joseph, Sharky still doesn’t trust Joseph and is protective of the other two.
22. Where does their first kiss happen? Same as the first time they had sex.
23. Where is their favourite place to be together? In the backyard of the Ranch/Prosperity.
24. Where do they first have sex? Their room in the bunker.
25. Why do they fight? Little stuff, issues about Joseph, leadership methods when it comes to taking care of the other Survivors
26. Why do they need to have a serious chat? Same as the last question again. Usually if they need to talk about Joseph or the darker parts of their pasts if it ever comes up in conversation.
27. Why do their friends get annoyed with them? Being The Annoying Cutesy in Love People Who “Rub it in Everybody’s Faces” , also when they get too loud while being amorous.
28. Why do they get jealous? Not for that many reasons, considering them getting together was sort of born out of jealousy, and they only have eyes for each other and know the other two feel the same way.
29. Why do they fall a little bit more in love? They just continue their alone time more and more each day / it’s closeness that makes the heart grow fonder in their case.
30. Why does it work (or not work) between them? They were all friends first, and John and Nic and then Sharky and Nic were already mutually in love, John and Sharky care about Nic enough to work hard to make it work.

Cutie Reviews: YumeTwins March 20
I think I forgot to say Merry Christmas, even though it’s late. I hope everyone has been having a good holiday, and not getting sick. This time of the year is the worst for that. New Years is coming along, but I never really do anything for that day other than having dinner with family.
Spring will be coming up though :D so this box will still come in handy!
Tumblr media
“With this month’s box we want to celebrate the mini-renewal that springtime brings with a Spring Cleaning theme! Sometimes cleaning can seem like a chore, but with the right tools and cheerful support your room can be spic-and-span in no time at all! Let’s think of spring cleaning as a special chance to start the year fresh! Not something “to-do” but instead something to look forward to!“
Contest and Yume Prize
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mini-Sumikko Gurashi Trash Bin
Tumblr media
This is a necessity for cleaning, you gotta have somewhere to put the trash.... unless you’re like me, and you already have a trash bin. In which case you’re left trying to figure out what else you can do with it. But that’s not really hard, I can carry it around with me when I’m straightening up, or I can use it to store some smaller items in my stand, which always seems to be cluttered because I cram so much into it!
I’ve mentioned this before, but for anyone new I’ll bring it up again. I love Sumikko Gurashi, my favorites are Neko and Shirokuma :3
Air-Freshner
Tumblr media
Our next item is available in 2 variations; we could either get Shibata-san or Taachan, a cat. It has a very fresh scent from what I could pick up (I didn’t want to waste it by opening it prematurely), it reminds me a lot of a laundry detergent we sometimes get.
Japanese Animal-print Apron
Tumblr media
Our next item is actually one I’m really excited for! I say that because I’ve been really wanting to get back into the kitchen and try to improve my baking skills, and I bought some stuff that will be coming over the next week for it. Besides that, apron’s also come in handy whenever you’re cleaning.
There was 14 possible prints we could get! I think this one with Taachan is very cute x3 We could also get Shibata-san, Sakura and Bunta the birds, and some prints of sakura to go with the rebirth-with-spring theme.
Sanrio Character Sponge and Screen Cleaner
Tumblr media
Our last two items come from Sanrio and San-X, these being a pair of sponge either featuring Hello Kitty or My Melody, and a cute little screen cleaner available in a variety of characters. The sponges are made from a polyurethane foam that reduces the amount of soap needed for suds and bubbles, while the cleaners are about the size of a card, so they can be put in a lot of places.
I’ve mentioned this before, but whenever I get these cutesy, stylized sponges.I found them really hard to use. I hate the idea of ruining something I paid so much money for... am I the only one? Plus I like to collect Hello Kitty, so I’ll probably just add it the collection.
- - - - -
Meanwhile, the screen cleaner is always welcome! Since I’m usually on some device pretty often it will come in handy. I also got Shirokuma! Isn’t that wonderful? :3
Opinions
Content - 5 out of 5. Everything is really cute and seems to be of good quality, the apron especially. The items are kind of smaller, but the apron is pretty big, as is the mini-trash bin, so it makes sense. Everything is practical too.
Theme: 5 out of 5. It’s a pretty simple and common theme I see in these boxes around this time of year. But there’s nothing wrong with that either, everyone could use a little spring cleaning/declutter right?
Total Rank: 10 out of 10 Cuties. It might not seem spectacular or anything, but the contents are great and cute, they work, I really don’t see anything wrong with this one.
Cutie Ranking
Apron - I have one or two others but it doesn’t hurt to have an extra. I love it’s flowery design and the cute pocket.
Cleaner Cards - This is practically essential for me, I love it. As I type on my laptop I’ll probably use mine as soon as I finish this review!
Trash Bin - Like I said, it would be a great item to have if I didn’t already have a bigger bin for garbage. But I have a few ideas on how else I can use it, so I don’t think it’ll be sitting around very long.
Air-Freshner - I offered this to my dad for his car, I can’t wait to see how it really smells after opening it~
Sponge - It’s cute but I’m worried I won’t actually use it. . .

Ranking the 39 best ways to get out of debt in 2019
Whether your mountain of debt started with a shopping spree where you got a little trigger happy with the plastic or pursuing a fancy liberal arts degree, you’re here because you want to take a bulldozer to that mountain and finally be #debtfree.
Sitting on a big pile of debt is basically burning piles of money on the reg. For some perspective, Americans with commercial debt spend, on average, $1,300 per month on interest payments. (1)
That’s more than a lot of people’s rent, and it does nothing but keep collections at bay.
This only solution is to pay your debt off faster. This post covers how to do that in 3 different ways:
Improving the terms of your debt
Cutting costs
Making extra disposable income
Be sure to check out my other rankings: best online business ideas, small business ideas, and how to make money fast.
Let’s do this. Ranked by how quickness, sustainability, and ease, here are the best ways to get out of debt:
39. Do the math
If you’ve got $20,000 in credit card debt and you’re making $300 payments each month, it’ll be just over 12 years until you’re debt-free. You’ll have basically lit more than $23,000 on fire in the form of interest payments.
Use a debt repayment calculator like Credit Karma’s (2) to crunch the numbers and figure out exactly how long it’s going to take you to pay off your debt and how much you’ll be paying in interest.
38. Automate your finances
Self-made millionaire David Bach wrote a whole book on this one called “The Automatic Millionaire”, saying that it’s “the one step that virtually guarantees that you won’t fail financially.” (3)
Set a goal for when you want to finish paying off your debt and use the flipside of that debt calculator to calculate how much you’d have to pay each month to do that. Set up automatic payments on all of your credit cards and loans to that monthly minimum.
Recent college grads: the US Department of Education gives you a 0.25% interest discount just for setting up autopay, and many private lenders give you up to 0.50% off. (4) Not a lot, but it takes like 20 seconds to sign up for autopay.
37. Pay the maximum
A whopping 73% of Americans die in debt. A big reason is that many of them (yep, lookin’ at you) are only paying the minimum on their debt, which is the best way to stay in debt forever.
Instead, pay the maximum amount your budget will allow each month. Those courtside tickets can wait until AFTER you’ve paid off your debt.
36. The “avalanche” method
Call it the avalanching, stacking, or the ladder method, it’s all the same: hands down the most financially savvy and efficient method for paying off multiple different streams of debt.
Pay off your high-interest debts first (usually your credit cards). Set your automatic payments to the minimum on all of your cards and loans except the one with the highest interest rate: throw all the money you can at that one until it’s gone. Then target your second highest interest rate using all the extra money you have in the absence of the first debt, and so on.
35. The “snowball” method
For those who need to be coddled a little, snowballing is paying off your smallest debts first so that these little wins can motivate you to attack larger, more intimidating debts.
That initial boost of confidence that the snowballing method creates has helped people tackle $50k+ in debt in just a few years. (5)
34. Cash out your credit card cashback
If you’ve got cashback sitting around on any of your credit cards from incurring all this debt, you may as well take advantage of it.
Don’t try to earn any more cashback until you’re debt-free, though.
33. Put windfalls towards your debt
Put any random money you earn outside your regular income towards your debt.
Whether it’s a work bonus, birthday money, a holiday gift, your tax refund, or a $100 you found on the ground, directing that money towards your debt puts you a little bit closer to debt-free status.
32. Sell stuff
Don’t lie, you probably have a basement, garage, or closet somewhere that looks like an audition for Hoarders (without the dead cats, I hope). I’m not going to preach to you about the “life-changing magic of cleaning out your garage”, but I am going to preach to you about how selling crap you don’t need to pay off debt you shouldn’t have is a good idea.
What’s that? You’re too lazy? You don’t even have to leave your house. Sell stuff from your phone on Letgo. (6) Try out Decluttr. (7)
31. Downgrade your stuff
Lifestyle inflation is real. People don’t like to downgrade their standard of living. But you have to if you want to double down on your debt.
This couple even sold their brand new car and got a used junker when they realized they could have used that money to pay off their debt. It probably stung a little, but they managed to pay off $52,000 of debt in just 18 months. (8)
30. Free entertainment
Instead of spending money on movies or concert tickets, seek out cheaper ways to have fun.
Look online and see what kind of free things are happening around your city. Outdoor festivals, movies in the park, all that stuff.
No need to be deathly bored while you’re climbing your way out of debt hell.
29. Garage sale arbitrage
Dig through cheap crap at garage sales, strike gold. Buy valuable items for a fraction of what they’re worth, and resell them online for a huge profit. Repeat.
Corey Levitan, a writer for Men’s Health, banks an extra $20,000 a year doing this. And he only spends 3-5 hours/week on it. (9)
28. Shop through cashback sites/apps
Cashback sites like Rakuten (10) give you money for shopping online and in-store, kinda like a delayed discount. When you cash out your earnings, put it all towards your debt. Also, use a debit card instead of a credit card when doing this unless you want to spend more time paying it off.
Don’t go on a shopping spree just for cashback, though. That’s exactly how a lot of people end up in credit card debt – cashback rewards on their credit cards.
Save these sites for those everyday purchases you have to make, like groceries or maybe clothing.
27. Buy everything with cash
Many studies have shown people generally spend less when they pay with cash than they pay with credit. (11)
Think about this: not only do you have to visit an ATM or bank any time you need cash, but watching those green bills leave your hand is more difficult than swiping/chipping/tapping a piece of plastic.
Also, you won’t be adding more to your current credit balances.
But this applies to debit cards, too. No debt involved with debit cards, but it’s still easier to swipe it than to hand over bills.
26. Keep the change
Take all the loose change you find or get back throughout the day and put it in a jar. Each month, deposit it all and use it to chip away at your debt.
25. Negotiate your bills
Anyone who tells you that you can’t negotiate bills is a liar. Everything is negotiable. According to Consumer Reports, 89% of people who try to bargain are successful at least once. (12)
Try your hand at haggling with your cable and internet bills, and then move up to the big leagues: medical bills, credit cards, and car insurance.
24. Lower your rent
Bargain with your landlord, especially if you live in an apartment: offer to extend your lease, give up your parking space, agree to show your apartment to potential renters, get some roommates, pay a few months’ rent upfront, or refer new renters for a discount.
The best time to negotiate is a few months before your lease ends.
23. Negotiate your credit card interest rate
Sometimes it really is as easy as just asking.
Time Magazine’s money experts recently did a personal finance boot camp that recommends you call up your credit card company and ask them for a lower APR. 80% of callers asking for a lower interest rate were successful. (13)
22. Don’t close credit cards
The second you pay off one credit card, you’ll probably want to immediately call up the credit card company and close it. Don’t.
Unless your card charges an annual fee, keep it open. Check the FICO 5. (14) One of the biggest factors making up your credit score (30%) is your credit to debt ratio. The less credit you have available to you, the higher that ratio, the lower your credit score.
21. Freeze your credit cards… literally
Of course, keeping your credit cards in your wallet after you pay them off is like a recovered cocaine addict keeping an old stash in his bedroom.
Stick them in a bowl of water and freeze it. Every time you want to take the plastic gods out on an impulsive shopping spree, you’ll have to wait for a block of ice to thaw while you think about your life choices.
20. Monitor your credit report
Monitor your credit report on a regular basis for any errors that could be hurting your credit score. If you see any, immediately submit a dispute to get them removed so you can nudge your score upwards to secure better interest rates in your negotiations.
Each of the 3 credit bureaus gives you 1 free report a year. (15) Sites like Credit Karma (16) let you look at your report as much as you want with no penalties as well.
19. Rent your stuff
Airbnb’s cutesy tiny houses and extravagant vacation rentals are taking over, but you don’t have to have real estate to make money renting things out anymore.
Rent out your bike/recreational gear on Spinlister. (17) Got an old bridesmaids dress or fancy tux lying around? Rent out clothing on Style Lend (18) and Date My Wardrobe. (19) Compete with Alamo by renting out your car on Turo (20) or GetAround. (21) And you can rent just about anything on RentNotBuy and Loanables. (22) (23)
18. Borrow against your life insurance
If you’ve got a permanent life insurance policy with a cash value, you can borrow from it to pay off your debt. Just make sure it doesn’t backfire. Interest rates are often lower with this method, but there are penalties involved (including burdening your beneficiaries if you die before the debt is paid off) and you could risk losing your life insurance.
17. Make every debt payment on time
No, not just to keep collections at bay. Paying your debts on time keeps your credit score as high as possible, seeing as it’s the most important (35%) of the 5 FICO credit score factors (24).
A higher credit score gives you more leverage when negotiating down your interest rates with your credit card companies. It also helps you secure a lower rate if you want to refinance/consolidate your debt, which you can learn about in the next two tips.
Also, paying on time means you avoid late fees, which are just a waste of money.
16. Refinance your debt
If you qualify for refinancing, you should 100% do it. Basically, you get a new, better (lower interest, usually a personal loan) loan to replace one of your old (higher interest) loans. You can cut years off of your repayment schedule by refinancing.
Pay attention to the term length of the loan you’re refinancing your debt with, though, especially with long-term debt like mortgages. Let’s say you have 5 years left on a 30-year mortgage. Refinancing to a lower interest rate will lower your payment, but you’ll end up paying thousands more in interest.
15. Debt consolidation
Consolidating debt is simply combining multiple debts into one debt by taking out a lower interest loan. Most of the time, consolidating your debt also involves refinancing your debt (see previous tip) – especially if you have several high-interest debt sources.
In addition, you can spend less time juggling 5 different debt accounts and making sure to pay everything on time. Less chance of incurring late fees or worse – the wrath of collections.
If you’ve got debt from more than 2 different sources, you should definitely consider a debt consolidation loan.
14. Balance transfer credit card
Live-saving credit cards exist: they offer a 0% interest rate for a specific “introductory period”, which can be 6 months, 12 months, or even 21 months. You transfer your debt to this card and pay it off interest-free.
Just make sure you pay it off in time, and don’t use it to spend.
The Chase Slate is the only 0% APR balance transfer card with no fees, (25) and the Citi Simplicity offers the longest introductory period of them all (21 months). (26)
13. Loan forgiveness
If you’re a teacher, public servant, permanently disabled, Peace Corps volunteer, nurse, or law enforcement and you have student loan debt, the government might actually pay it off for you.
You don’t get away scot-free, though; these programs usually require you to make 120 qualifying payments (aka 10 years of monthly payments) before you’re considered for loan forgiveness. Check out the Federal Student Aid website for details. (27)
Whether or not you’re forgiven for your gluttonous spending on a metaphysical level is another matter.
12. Have a small emergency fund
If you don’t have some cash set aside for emergencies, you’re going to incur more debt if you get into a bad car accident or something similar.
It doesn’t have to be a lot – $1,000 should be enough for the moment, and you can build it up in increments of as little as $50 a month if you need to.
11. Quit investing
Here’s the thing: paying down debt gets you a guaranteed return (in the form of interest you no longer have to pay), and that return is almost always more than you’d earn on the stock market and always more than you get from a savings account. (28)
Drop the investments for now and put any savings in excess of your small emergency fund toward being debt-free. Not only that, but consider selling some investments and putting the proceeds towards your debt.
10. Become a digital nomad
It’s no secret that I think working from home is the future, and I’m not alone. (Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Fast Company all agree). (29)
“Digital nomads” have traded in the 9-5 for a digital career that lets them roam the globe while they rake in cash. Aside from the obvious perks – from showing up at the “office” in your swim trunks to your “office” being a tropical island – you can also save tons of money by living somewhere cheap. The cost of living in Thailand is half what it is in the United States. Think about it. (30)
9. Gig economy jobs
Drive for Uber, doing odd jobs on TaskRabbit, shop for people with Shipt, you get the idea. These aren’t the most glamorous ways to make some extra cash, but money’s money and these jobs aren’t too hard to sign up for.
8. Teach a skill for pay
Monetize a skill you have by teaching others how to do it. Know how to play the guitar? Give private lessons. Excellent at a language? Find a language tutoring site and sign up to tutor others.
Even better, make an online course or eBook that teaches your skill for some passive income. Just make sure the content is actually useful.
7. SEO consulting
If you can learn a thing or two about SEO and find a company that would like to improve their SEO (every company), you can rake in enough side money to be out of debt asap. Entry-level SEO Consultants make about $50,000-$60,000/year…with no experience. (31)
6. Be a Virtual Assistant
If you don’t have time to learn technical skills, Virtual Assistants can make money doing any odd job that remote workers need help with, from making phone calls to making Pinterest boards. Find gigs on Upwork – according to them, Virtual Assistants are one of the fastest-growing freelance positions. (32)
5. Content writing
Can you put together a well-written sentence? Know how to capture an audience with some well-crafted words?
Content is still king, and writing it pays well too because you can’t outsource it to just anyone (we see you, wannabe internet companies trying to get away with hiring amateur Malaysian teens to write your blog).
Freelance writers can make anywhere from $30 to $70 an hour. (33)
4. Facebook ads
There are over 25 million businesses using Facebook to market themselves. (34) That’s 25 million potential clients if you know how to run a successful Facebook ad campaign because many business owners are completely clueless when it comes to social media.
Brush up your skills and start offering to do Facebook ads consulting to small businesses in your area.
3. Open an e-Commerce shop
If you want to reel in the side money, this one takes some time to build up, but it’s passive, which you know I love. E-commerce is projected to make up about 13% of all sales this year, and it’ll be up to 17% just 5 years from now. (35)
Make something and sell it. Even better, find yourself a dropshipper and cut out most of the work. Either way, get a piece of that pie.
2. Learn to code
The national average salary for a computer programmer is $84,360. (36)
Combine that with the fact that this job is 100% digital, and you’ve got a recipe for success. Imagine living on a Caribbean island where you can live comfortably on $1,200/month while you’re raking in $7,000/month. Your debt will be gone in no time.
1. Provide leads online for local businesses
Nothing out there beats raking in hot leads for local businesses. You might as well be handing over stacks of cash to these companies, so trust me when I say this: small businesses pay good money for leads.
Plus, local lead generation hits the money-making trifecta: it’s remote, scalable, and automatable. Plus, you’re cutting down on the competition by focusing on local areas.
TBH, it doesn’t really matter whether you stack your debt, snowball your debt, avalanche your debt or any other fancy terms that basically just mean paying off your debt.
Unless you want to spend the next 50 years of your life picking away at a mountain of debt with a toothpick, you need to do more than stop buying pumpkin spice lattes. You need to increase your earnings fast… local lead generation is your bulldozer.

ARC Review: Kiss Me in New York by Catherine Rider
This book was provided to me by the publisher via NetGalley & Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. This review edition is an ARC and may differ from the final edition.
Tumblr media
I have given Kiss Me in New York by Catherine Rider a ☆☆ rating. It belongs to the Young Adult Contemporary Romance genre. Kids Can Press publishes it. It is published October 3, 2017.
The blurb reads:
It's Christmas Eve at JFK in NYC.
Charlotte is a British student, waiting for a flight home after the worst semester of her life. Anthony is a native New Yorker, surprising his girlfriend at the airport after three months apart. Charlotte has just been dumped, and Anthony is about to be dumped, right in the middle of the holiday crowd.
Charlotte's flight is canceled when a blizzard blows in, and Anthony can't bear to go home. So, they set out into the city together, clutching a book Charlotte picks up in the airport gift shop: Ten Easy Steps for Getting Over Your Ex. For this one night, they'll focus on healing their broken hearts ... together.
Step-by-step, the two struggle to put the past behind them. But the snow is so enchanting, and the holiday lights are so beguiling, that soon their shared misery gives way to something else. Soon, they're not only over their exes --- they're falling for each other.
Then a subway ride splits them up by mistake. Will they reunite before Charlotte's flight leaves New York forever?

It’s been a really tough work week for me, especially since I work full time. And it takes a toll on my blogging and how much time I spend on here. Although, I do read excessively since my commute to work takes me an hour and fifteen minutes! I’m currently catching up with as many of my reviews as I can and I’m hoping to clear my ledger by the end of the month. As always, my reviews may contain spoilers. I say may because what’s a spoiler to you may not be a spoiler for me.
Verdict:
A quick note before we start: this was previously published in 2016 so if you see it floating around, that's the old one. I'm not too sure what the differences are though. /:
October might be a little early for Christmas romances but Kiss Me in New York strives to inject a little cheer into this autumn season and remind you of what’s to come once the cold hits. Kiss Me in New York is definitely a super cutesy and warm-hearted story a la Hallmark and Lifetime movies but it is rife with clichés at every turn.
Kiss Me in New York starts off very promising with both Charlotte and Anthony getting dumped at the airport. Their heartbreak is universal and very well-written. It’s so relatable because:
You’ve probably been dumped because you were only a temporary fling even though you thought you weren’t (Charlotte)
You’ve probably tried to surprise your other half after they’ve been away for while only to find out they’ve been cheating on you (Anthony)
I’ve probably watched too many movies
But I’ll admit, I actually teared up. I felt Charlotte’s pain acutely, like a serious stab to the heart.
Plus, Charlotte seems like the right kinda girl: headstrong, ambitious and just a tad bit optimistic. She isn’t pretentious and although she was a little bit too certain she would be able to reinvent herself in a different country while on a student exchange programme, she was able to pick herself up and carry on. She didn’t pity herself (too much!) and decided to do something about which I find was very grown up about her.
The premise is the stuff of cheesy, romantic and fluffy fanfiction as well! Two strangers meet on Christmas Eve after having the heartbreak of their lives and decide to spend the holiday together doing things to make themselves feel better. Of course you’d expect some falling in love, some confession of love atop the Empire State Building a la Gossip Girl’s Chuck and Blair and loads of Christmas magic.
But then, it descends into all kinds of YA hell!
YA Hell 1: Virgin-Madonna complex.
Let’s start with the most glaring and the one that bothered me the most: Kiss Me in New York is the Anthony show. That’s right, it’s not the Charlotte and Anthony show but rather, it documents all of Anthony’s whining and moping and bitching about his ex-girlfriend, Maya. All the while, Charlotte’s story fades into the background.
Although Kiss Me in New York was told from both Charlotte and Anthony’s perspective, his voice becomes stronger and stronger as the story unfolds. Instead of the story unfolding into two characters falling in love with each other as they learn about one another and spend close to 24 hours together, it’s Anthony constantly comparing Charlotte to Maya. He doesn’t enjoy Charlotte’s company; half the time, he finds her very frustrating and annoying. He falls in love with her not because he likes her for who she is but because she’s not like Maya!
Anthony basically pits Charlotte’s “girl-next-door” qualities against Maya’s “sexy-vixen” sorta thing. The whole virgin-Madonna binary is so last century, guys!
Is Maya a bad person? Yes, because she didn’t care for his feelings and she cheated!
Are her bad traits a result of female stereotypes perpetuated by the media? I think so.
But Anthony was pretty loopy as well. He wanted to fucking tattoo her name on his arm. Like boy, you’re barely out of high school. Chill. Is Anthony a bad boyfriend? I don’t know. He probably is because why would she cheat on him? If he’s constantly whining, I’d probably dump him too for someone a lot more mature and sophisticated.
YA Hell 1.1: They don’t act like teenagers. Or say teenager-y things.
While both of them are teenagers (with Anthony barely straddling teenagehood), Charlotte and Anthony act and behave like adults (This ARC review is overdue so I hope things were fixed in the final piece). They attend a bar and do some underage drinking, the run rampant around New York City in the freezing cold and even attend some strange singles party where they are forced to kiss under mistletoe before they can leave the party. I find that these are tropes that occur only in romance or new adult novels. Not one that’s aimed at a younger demographic.
YA Hell 2: Insta-fucking-love.
To cut a long story short, it’s been 24 hours! And they’re in love. Charlotte girl, you’ll be dumping his ass in two weeks because he’s such a little bitch.
YA Hell 3: Writing is not too great.
Coming from two young adult writers and working partners, Stephanie Elliot and James Noble, the writing can read very amateur. It often makes the mistake of telling and not showing. And that’s the trap when you’re writing a first-person POV. You have to be very careful to not narrate the scenes but rather show me what’s going on.
YA Hell 4: She chooses the boy!!!!!!!!!!
Charlotte didn’t choose Columbia. She chose him. She didn’t want to leave him. Not Columbia. Columbia’s just a vehicle
Conclusion:
Kiss Me in New York by Catherine Rider was a painful, painful read. I only gave it two stars because a) everything deserves at least one star, b) I love Charlotte. She’s a beacon of light and hope next to Whiny Tony. Oh, that rhymes! It could have done way better. Could have been a fucking cute Lifetime holiday movie. Instead, it reads like a tired, been-there-done-that story. Not to mention, that font on the cover isn’t doing anything for me. I have that font somewhere in my database and it’s not one that I pull out often.

So someone made this post I thought was really cool and I wanted to answer it the person who made the post goes by @buh-beep so please go give that post a like and follow them with all that said here are the questions
1. What is the oldest doll you own?
Probably my Beautiful Crissy doll from 1968 although that may not be the date for that exact doll she is pretty old. She was made by the company ideal.
2. What is the doll you got most recently?
My Bratz Collecters Yasmin from 2018 by MGA. When I lived with my mom she bought her for me I think she gave me a card and we got it. I don't have her or any of these dolls anymore since I don't live with my mother for personal reasons.
3. Favorite Type of Doll?
Hands down Bratz. They have been my absolute fave since I was a little girl and i still love them their fashion, makeup just everything really is iconic and I really believe that they might have the same impact as Barbie once I get older. Now if we talk about favorite lines? That will have to be for another time.
4. Least Favorite Type of Doll?
Pinkie Cooper. It's cute I had one but I was just not interested in the dolls sadly I definitely think it was an interesting idea though and its probably perfect for some people I just never knew where she would fit in with my other dolls. Also when I saw my cousin and his ex they had stuff for me and for some reason I could only take two things home and my mom sorta had me take her home when I could have had a Hannah Montana doll so rip :p
5. How many dolls do you own?
Zero now rip but honestly idk. I had mostly Bratz and sorta collected but now I might genuinely try to collect them.
6. What is a doll you had and wish you still did?
Tumblr media
Tan Bratz Passion 4 Fashion Cloe. I still really wish I kept her but I was going through this dumb phase where I just stopped caring about my dolls and we had this science project in school and I did mine on hair dye and dyed her hair using some fruit or something and gave her away. If anyone knows where I can get her (hopefully for cheap) please tell me I really loved her she was also one of my friends absolute favorites.
7. What does your wish list look like?
A lotta Bratz mostly but that would be a very long list so to save you the details two of the series I want are the Tokyo a Gogo dolls, Formal Funk and Flashback Fever.
8. Prettiest Doll you Own?
Honestly have no clue all of them are gorgeous but I think one of my prettiest is definitely Rock Angelz Sasha I would love to own more Sasha dolls shes so gorgeous.
9. Ugliest Doll you own but love anyways?
I don't think I own any ugly ones really just ones that had messed up hair so I don't really have anything to add here. Actually hmm maybe my first edition Cameron and Dylan Bratz dolls they are still cool though.
10. Cutest Doll you own?
Either my Barbie Peek a Boos or my Mindy Mint Chocolate Chip Yummyland doll. I love Bratz but I really wish I saw more cutesy but fashionable dolls I believe they should bring back Yummyland dolls they smell so dang good and because kids love slim maybe they could add a small bottle (in a shape of a drink) that smells nice too? Idk lol.
11. Biggest Doll you own?
A Barbie doll that is I believe 28" in size after that I would say my Beautiful Crissy Doll and than my Yummyland doll.
12. Smallest doll you own?
All of my Barbie Peekaboos and Polly Pockets. Since Polly came back I think Mattel has the perfect chance to bring back Barbie Peek a Boos. They are pretty small so I kept them in a basket I am used to the size of Bratz I find them easier to hold over Barbie Peek a Boos or Polly's.
13. What doll in your collection is worth most?
Hmm probably Beautiful Crissy tbh I wanted her because when i was in grade 8 i watched these old vintage commercials on YouTube and i saw her and i just thought she was one of the most gorgeous dolls. I don't have her now because again shes at my moms but I don't think I could sell her shes just really cute and I think dolls from that time and older are special and tell a story and show a different time.
14. Doll you will never buy and why?
Lamilly and American Girls. I know these dolls especially American Girls are very popular for a lot of people but I am not really into dolls that are supposed to be like me I like fashion dolls mostly or really cutesy dolls. I think American Dolls are pretty iconic in their own way but I just can't see me owning one and for Lamilly same deal I feel like its trying to put down other dolls and make Lamilly seem superior and I just don't dig it. I don't like Barbie's a whole lot but I dislike like Lamilly I think it's a good message but it just feels meh? Idk other dolls I will never own are Blythe's I have this thing with dolls with eyes like that and I think it would probably spook me a bit.
15. Strangest doll you own?
Pinkie Cooper hands down. Again she just doesn't fit anywhere and shes so odd and really stands out from the others not that that's always a bad thing but as someone who is mostly into Bratz, Monster High and Ever After High she just doesn't go anywhere although she would probably fit in maybe with the EAH dolls. Another is probably the big Barbie like I didn't want her I just got her as a Christmas present one year and yeah that's that.
16. Biggest Doll Related Regret?
Giving away that Cloe doll I will always regret that also almost wanting to sell my Bratz and not bringing my dolls with me when I left my moms and went to my dads. Also I just wanna say my dad is the coolest and one day we had a nice convo about toys and stuff it was pretty rad.
17. What's the most important aspect of a doll in your opinion?
I just want to say I absolutely love this question this is the main reason why I wanted to make this post. I believe the most important aspect is if the owner finds joy in that doll because if you don't we wouldn't have so many people collecting dolls and dolls wouldn't be sold. I think dolls are very important and can build up good skills. Another important aspect is if you can pose the doll and depending on if it's a fashion dolls is if it has good clothes and good fabric all of these are so important but as long as people find joy that's the most important.
18. What's your doll related pet peeve
People are gonna hate this and I apologize but I find it difficult to watch or look at people changing the dolls like not in clothes changing but repaints it's cool and some of them are absolutely gorgeous but sometimes I have a bit of a pet peeve of them mostly because I am so worried that I will never find those dolls because people use them and repaint them. Their aren't many Bratz repaints though so I don't get bothered too much and when they do repaints they make the faces so pretty and I would love for MGA to use some of the screenings some of these people use because they look so good.
19. When did you start collecting dolls?
This might be an odd opinion but I think that anyone can be a doll collector even if they don't mean to be like for me I don't call myself a doll collector but I sorta am? Even though I never meant to be but now I do want to collect but it started with Bratz when I was young but now I want to take it a bit more seriously.
20. Have any doll related stories?
Well I never first fought anyone I was way too young lol but I do have two good stories number 1 is on Christmas a few years back my grandparents before they both passed bought me a Holiday Yasmin doll from 2007 don't know how they found it but they did and I loved that doll but again at my moms rip another one is one Christmas I got two of the same Bratz Cade dolls and for the longest time I thought it was Dylan because the doll looked exactly like Dylan does in the movies and shows lol! I might go into more stories on my dolls because there are a few that I really like.
With all of these questions answered I will once again ask people who see this to go like and follow @buh-beep who made the original post. This was intended for doll collectors I believe personally I don't call myself a collector but as someone who loves dolls I thought this would be fun and it really was if anyone wants to this I suggest it. Its really fun and I like sharing this stuff with you guys.
☆With all that said I hope you liked this post. Please give me a follow i post a lot of stuff like this☆

Cutie Reviews: YumeTwins February 20
Hello everyone, happy Thanksgiving!
I was planning on posting this last week, but stuff came up. I wasn’t feeling well the day I was originally working on it, then I had plans on Monday (that was the day I went to Ulta), and after having to put my oldest cat -Butch- to sleep, I pretty much lost any motivation to do anything last week. He was really old and sickly as of late because he couldn’t take care of himself anymore.
Anyway, I don’t want this review to be a sad one. I still miss Butch but I want to just be able to treasure our memories knowing he’s not in pain anymore.
I hope you enjoy the review and have a nice holiday!
Tumblr media
“A very happy February to all! This month, we are sending lots of love and warmth to keep the positivity flowing. Valentine’s Day is upon us and although not everyone may feel the need for a day to tell someone that you love them, it always feels nice and special to express kind feelings to those close to you. That’s why we’ve filled our Cupid’s Gift box full of cute and lovable items that everyone will want to ‘heart’. We hope these gifts will help you share your love in your own unique way."
Contest and Yume Prize
Tumblr media
You’ll see, this is where the Pikachu aspect comes in. This prize includes a lot of cute essential goods.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the Yume Prize includes a lot lot of adorable, cuddly Pikachu!
Also, I wanted to include these 2 pictures submitted to the Art Corner of the booklet featuring My Melody and Kuromi:
Tumblr media
Aren’t they just the cutest? x3
Chocolate Pen
Tumblr media
If you’ve been a viewer since the beginning of this blog, you might recognize this item. It was my third DokiDoki Box ever, featuring a bakery theme, and this was one of the included items. However, this one actually includes a chain and tag, while I don’t remember my previous one having. These are also available in white chocolate, and strawberry chocolate.
It’s basically a short, average pen in an adorable package. It’s perfect for any little sweet notes you plan to make or letters you might want to give someone you like. It’s a bit awkward to hold, but I love the little detail of “breaking off a piece of chocolate“ for the lid. Things like this are right up my alley :3 but I do wish I got one of the other variants, since I already had this one.
Sanrio Letter Set
Tumblr media
These are essential if you plan on handwriting your Valentine’s messages. These came in a variety of characters/themes, each including 1 set of stickers, 12 letters, and 6 envelopes.
The envelopes are a bit different than ones I’ve seen before. They resemble money packets, and feature a name, address, and some other info you can write on the back. The letter paper features the design you see above, with a pink lined side with similar designs on the back. The sticker sheet is pretty small, featuring a couple basic Cinnamoroll and a few other things, like a cinnamon roll and cup of coffee.
I like it. It’s might not scream Valentine’s Day in design but it’s perfect for its intended purpose. I also like having these so if I have a friend who likes a specific character, I could always gift them since I usually don’t use them. But on the off-chance I want to mix things up a little, I could also take out the paper to use for myself.
Zipper Gift Bags
Tumblr media
This is another little handy item for the holiday, in case you want to give someone some sweets or a little gift and want to dress it up a little to make it more special.
For this box, we could receive a wide selection of possible styles, including the adorable mason jar designs from a year or so back that we got. I really like this handy handle-type bag. The design is also very sweet, featuring Pikachu and some drinks that look delicious~
Heart Accessory Holder
Tumblr media
As you guys know, I love hearts! So I was very excited when I unboxed this, it even features one of my favorite Sumikko Gurashi themes/designs (next to the cat one).
This came in several colors and variations, featuring Pokemon, Sumikko Gurashi, and Sanrio characters.

When you open it up, you’re greeted by a large mirror and a little shelf (which actually connects to the mirror, I completely forgot until I was almost done with the review), which you can keep in for extra-storage or remove just for the 2 larger sides.
I was so excited to use this :3 I have a “collection“ of various storages from these boxes and I keep trying to use them, but I kind of hate having multiple ones and then having to search all of them to try to find a specific accessory because I forgot which one I put it in. So I’ll be able to sort of combine a few of them into just this one (as well as change it up because that’s fun too), or I can use it for extra-makeup storage, because where I keep my makeup, I’m pretty much out of room.
Either way, life will be a bit easier for me now.
Sanrio Pouch Plush
Tumblr media
Our last item for the box and one of the cutest are a set of pouch-themed plush, perfect for adding a little present or a few treats for later, or to give to someone you know. Besides My Melody, we could also get PompomPurrin, Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll.
It’s kind of funny, because Hello Kitty and Kuromi have always been my favorites. My Melody is cute but I never paid her much attention; these boxes really want me to like her though, because I keep getting her whenever there is an option. I have to say, she’s really grown on me!
These plush are very light and soft, featuring very nice and smooth stitched detail and seams. No visible signs of poor quality. But I will say that the paws have a lot more stuffing than the ears, and the bow on her is really bothering me. I love bows and ribbons but this one looks weird.
Also, it probably goes without saying but you really can’t put much in these, so as far as pouches go, it’s... not the best. But it does include a all chain, so you could also attach it to your bag and use it for things like accessories, change, etc. It also makes a very sweet, cuddly companion~
Opinions
Content - 5 out of 5. Everything is very sweet and cute, and the items are in really good quality. A lot of practicality, and lots of variety.
Theme: 5 out of 5. I was a bit perplexed with this one, because the GIFT vibe from the theme is very obvious, these items are great for gifting others, or even yourself. They also feature cute designs, although I do kind of wish it was more... Valentine’s-ish, you know? Like more pink, more hearts, give me glitter and ribbons!
Total Rank: 10 out of 10 Cuties. While I do wish for a more cutesy love theme for Valentine’s Day like the booklet image implies, I think the items are great, they’re cute and useful! I enjoyed this one fairly more than our January box.
Cutie Ranking
Heart Accessory Holder - I love hearts and pastels, all of these options look so cute but I really like this one I got. I’ve been waiting until I finished this review to use it~
Zipper Bags - These look so adorable, I love Pikachu x3
Pouch - It’s a basic My Melody plush with a zipper on its back. Nothing that special, but it’s still really cute and I’ve been giving it hugs this entire review.
Letter Set - This one probably won’t get much use, at least right away. It’s sweet to look at though.
Chocolate Pen - been there, done that. It’s still cute though.
