@skullrockbi i hope you don't mind that i wrote a little thing this idea literally haunted me in my dreams and became my paralysis demon (affectionate)

Steve didn't even want to go to Vegas. He got dragged along because he's technically an executive-to-be and this whole trip is some networking/ass-kissing venture to secure that executive position. He doesn't know what the point is when his mother owns the company, but here he is.
Worst of all, this trip was scheduled for the summer. In Las Vegas. A literal desert.
Steve isn't some newbie when it comes to Vegas; he's got some family out here that he used to visit every summer. In fact, he'd rather be awkwardly catching up with them right now than standing in front of the Bellagio fountain surrounded by...friends...he guesses.
Honestly, he'd trade just about anything to be back home right now, sprawled across his couch with Robin and a box of pizza.
"Let's visit the Venetian next," Jackson says, grinning as he watches a pair of girls walking by. His eyes linger on their asses, and Steve elbows him roughly.
"Is the casino good?" Eric asks, tugging at the collar of his polo to air out some of the heat.
A breeze pushes by, ruffling Steve's hair in the wind. He huffs, running his fingers through it as the fountain begins its water show. A chorus of oohs and ahhs and camera noises start around them as a cool mist lands on the back of Steve's neck.
"Does it matter? A casino's a casino," Phineas replies.
It does, in fact, matter. Steve bites his tongue, holding back the urge to explain that some casinos are better than others. He's not going to gamble anyway. He's just going to watch the others spend their money and try not to cringe when they jokingly ask him to lend them more from his endless supply.
"Great, Venetia--"
Jackson is cut off by some guy shoving him and Eric aside. The guy completely ignores the offended noises and shouts, coming to a stop right in front of Steve.
He's wearing leather pants and a slightly cropped shirt for some band that sounds vaguely familiar from Robin's ramblings about up-and-coming musicians. Chunky rings decorate his fingers, and Steve tries very hard to not get distracted by them. His hair is wild but utterly defeated by the dry heat of Las Vegas and a subpar shower routine.
Steve opens his mouth to ask what the guy wants when he drops to one knee, staring up at Steve like he's some kind of deity sent from above. "Will you marry me?" he asks.
His voice is rough, like he spends most of his time screaming. Maybe he does, considering the band shirt. A few feet away, Steve can see three other guys in similar outfits sporting the pained grimaces of second-hand embarrassment.
"Are you drunk?" Steve asks.
"On love."
Ignoring the mocking laughter from around them, Steve finds himself inexplicably saying, "You don't even have a ring."
The guy blinks, curses, and quickly yanks one of his rings off. He holds it up with a grin, his cheeks slightly flushed as he asks, "How about now, big boy?"
The ring is shaped like a bat with rubies for eyes and diamonds for fangs. It's so ridiculous that Steve finds it endearing. The guy is being genuine, and that combined with the nickname makes his cheeks warm.
"You don't know my name," Steve says. "I don't know yours."
"Eddie Munson, but I'm not attached to Munson if that's an issue."
Steve can't help laughing, pushing his fingers through his hair again. He watches Eddie's eyes track the movement, his lips slightly parted as though he's breathless from something so innocuous.
He's about to introduce himself and tell Eddie to stand up already (that can't be good for his knees), when Phineas nudges him. "Steve, man, knock it off. You aren't gay," he says, his lip curling in slight disgust at the word.
Steve feels something in him snap, some tight hold on his control just giving up. He has a sudden realization: he hates his job, he hates his coworkers, and he hates who he is around them. He's just never done anything about it.
On the other hand, he finds himself utterly enamored by Eddie's clearly impulsive audacity to approach some random guy on the street and ask for his hand in marriage.
He ignores Phineas and looks back at Eddie. "Why?" he asks.
A hopeful smile tugs at Eddie's lips, and he starts to fidget with the bat ring. "Honestly, you're gorgeous. I've literally never seen anyone as pretty as you, sweetheart," he says.
"Can we have a chuppah? And break a glass?"
"I'd marry you in a vat of tapioca pudding, Stevie."
Steve snorts and reaches out, tugging on Eddie's arm to pull him up from the ground. "Let's just stick to the chuppah and glass," he says.
"Wait, is that a yes?"
"Well, it's not official until you put the ring on," he says, offering Eddie his left hand.
With a shell-shocked awe like he didn't think this would actually work, Eddie slides the ring onto Steve's finger. It's an odd, unexpected weight, but Steve likes it.
Corroded Coffin are celebrating an album release in Vegas. Eddie gets bored of the VIP area at the club & wanders The Strip. Standing at the Bellagio fountain is the most beautiful man he’s ever seen. Eddie pushes past some douchey looking dudes in business casual to reach him.
Eddie falls to one knee. “Will you marry me?” Steve who is bored with his business man life and hates his friends takes one look at this random proposing man with wild hair and leather pants and says “Yes.”

08x06 fix-it fic: break and be mended
not connected to that excerpt i posted before, just something completely different. 4.5k, read on the ao3
---
Another hospital room. Buck takes a deep breath and closes his eyes again, letting it out and hoping he gets back to sleep. It doesn't happen, though, because his brain catches up to his eyes:
Maddie, wearing a yellow paper hospital mask, a hand anxiously on her belly, sitting in the chair next to him with that too-familiar oh-thank-god-you're-finally-awake face… and Tommy leaning in the doorway.
He takes another deep breath and opens his eyes again.
"You're okay," Maddie says patiently, slowly, as Buck tries to slam the door shut or set the doorway on fire with his brain. "It's just the turkey flu, it hit you hard."
That breaks Buck's concentration. "Wait, is this a dream? Another coma dream? Turkey flu has to be something I made up."
Maddie raises her eyebrows and looks over her shoulder at Tommy before turning back to Buck. "Another one?"
"No, no, don't look at him," Buck interrupts. "He's not supposed to be here, not when I have turkey flu, not ever. He broke up with me, remember?"
In the doorway, Tommy shifts his weight from one foot to the other. He's wearing the dark blue LAFD t-shirt and pleated pants, a special Air Ops patch on his shirt sleeve. They always lurked under his flight suit, under his turnouts when they were on the same scene, but Buck didn't get to see them often. It was for the best, he thinks now, because the shirt fits perfectly across Tommy's chest and shoulders, the pants belted low. His shirt is tucked in better than Buck's ever is. He almost never got to see him like this so it feels like some new Tommy he's seeing, a Tommy that hangs around Harbor long enough to take off his flight suit but doesn't peel the rest of his work self off. He doesn't get off his shift, put the pilot away, shower and go home.
Buck looks away. He's looked too long.
"I'm actually here, you know." Tommy raps his knuckles on the door like that's proof of anything except a very strong poltergeist. "I can hear you."
Buck watches something that he hasn't seen in years sweep across Maddie's face (mostly her eyebrows, because of the mask).
She turns around and snaps, "I let you come within ten feet of my brother and you think bitchy fun Tommy was invited, too? He was not." Tommy looks shocked and abashed; Buck loves her so much.
"Why was he invited at all, Maddie?" Buck asks. "And you're both real, right? Like I'm not hallucinating both of you. Is that a turkey flu symptom? Can I have my phone? I need to look up turkey flu."
"It's a strain of avian flu, you just happened to get it from a turkey farm. Hen said you had a call to one of those last week," Maddie explains. "And you kept giggling when I said the words turkey flu so, you know, why not?"
"It's pretty funny," Buck admits. "Hey, why's he here?"
Maddie turns around and looks at Tommy expectantly. Buck still knows his face, still knows him, and can see the quip that wants to escape past his lips. He can see the work it takes to hold it back and look sincere, really sincere, for them.
"You collapsed at a scene and I flew you over," Tommy says. "I wanted to make sure you were okay."
Buck stares at him as he presses his lips into a fine line. "I'm okay. Thanks."
Tommy nods, then asks, "Can we talk? Alone?"
It's taken four months, almost as long as they were together, but Buck's finally hearing the words he's wanted to hear since Tommy walked out his door. I'm sorry, I was scared, I love you, yes let's take the next step together, from now on let's take every step together—that was Buck's first choice. Can we talk as a jumping off point for all those other things—that was Buck's second choice. Was.
Buck glances at Maddie and knows his face does something dumb. "I'll be outside," Maddie says. "And I'm not far, if you want me to throw him out." She looks over her shoulder at Tommy. "I'll do it."
Tommy nods. "Wouldn't doubt you for a second."
She squeezes Buck's hand and lingers for a beat, one long look at him like she's waiting for him to say actually, wait, don't, stay, but he doesn't. He hates that he doesn't. He hates that he wants to hear what Tommy has to say.
She and Tommy swap places; he takes the chair next to Buck's bed and she leaves, shutting the door behind her. Tommy doesn't see the way she passes by the window like a shark, watching, but Buck laughs. When Tommy looks back, she's gone.
"Your sister's changed a little," Tommy says casually. "Her sense of humor, I mean."
Buck licks his lips. "Yeah, well, when you were my boyfriend, you were her friend. Now you're neither."
"Yep, got it," Tommy says. He sits back in the chair, but looks so uncomfortable that someone would think he'd never sat in one before.
"Are you okay?" Buck asks. "Why are you here?"
"This chair is so weird."
"Tommy, what do you want to talk about?"
It startles Tommy, and it should. He only got soft and smitten, totally-in-love (even if he couldn't admit it out loud) Evan Buckley, cute and bratty Evan Buckley. He doesn't get that Evan anymore. No one has.
Tommy sits with his feet flat on the floor and his hands folded in his lap. He takes a minute, a long minute, of staring at the floor before he looks up and stares at Buck. "You asked me to move in with you."
Buck blinks. "I did."
"You asked me to move in with you."
"You said that. I mean, I said that, but you—"
"Evan," Tommy interrupts.
"I thought I was Buck now," Buck interrupts.
Bitchiness lurks on Tommy's tongue, but he holds it back. "You asked me to move in with you. Into the loft."
Buck tilts his head. "Yeah?"
Tommy shuts his eyes hard and shakes his head before he looks at Buck again. "Evan, I own a house."
"... okay?"
"Did you ask me to move in with you and expect me to give up my house?"
"What, no—" Buck says, then stops himself. "I don't—I didn't think—"
"Did you even think about that?" Tommy asks. "Like when you talked about moving in together, getting married, the future, all of that—did you even remember that I own a house?"
"You know," Buck interrupts. "Four months ago, you could have said, haha, wow, that's moving pretty fast, also I own a house, maybe when we're ready, we could move into MY HOUSE and make it OUR HOUSE, but you needed to run out the door so why would you say any of that?"
"Yeah! I was freaked out! Because here was this guy I—this guy I really liked, and he asked me, a 40-year-old man, to move into his loft?"
"What's wrong with it? Why do you keep saying it like that?"
"It's downtown! Downtown is loud and filthy and did I mention it's noisy? It was hell sleeping there in the summer because even with your central air, heat rises and it rises right into the bedroom. I saw your electric bill, Evan, it was unforgivable."
Buck wants to throw something at him. "And we could have been at your house, quiet and with better temperature control, but we weren't because…?"
"I'm just saying," Tommy continues. "Yeah, all that's true, but I realized you wanted me, wanted a future with me, and you didn't even remember that when I wasn't working or with you, I was at my house."
"I get that," Buck says. "Now how many times did we hang out at your house?"
Tommy sighs. "It's out of the way, your place was always closer to the 118 and to Harbor, and I kept—I was going to, okay? Like maybe after our anniversary, we'd take a week off together and we'd actually be at my house, or take a trip somewhere—"
"You got me basketball tickets," Buck snipes at him.
Tommy stops completely.
"For our six month anniversary, remember?"
"How the hell am I going to forget that?"
"You got me tickets to see the Lakers. Really good tickets."
Tommy rolls his eyes. "Alright, well, that's the last time I call that guy I know in the press office for anything."
Buck thinks he's getting closer to setting something on fire with his mind. "I hate basketball."
Tommy stares at him. "What the hell are you talking about? We met because of basketball."
Buck sits up so quickly and angrily he starts wheezing and that turns into a coughing fit. Tommy's immediately there, sitting on the edge of his bed with water, getting him to take a small sip as he rubs his back. When Buck realizes what's happening, he covers his mouth with his blanket and shoves Tommy away, coughing even more.
"Sorry, I was just—"
"I have turkey flu!" Buck yells through the blanket covering his mouth.
"The doctor said you're not contagious anymore."
Buck points at a small paper box across the room. Tommy, so put-upon, grabs a pale yellow mask and slips it on before he sits in the chair again. "Sorry."
"It's—" Buck halts because Tommy had grabbed two masks and was holding one out to him expectantly. Tommy motions to it again and Buck can see how he wants to make a bitchy comment about not having this conversation through a hospital blanket, but he doesn't. That's what makes Buck reach out and put the mask on. The icy fist around his heart thinks about melting.
"We didn't meet because of basketball, we met because of Bobby and Athena and the cruise ship," Buck corrects. "I wanted to see you again after that tour at Harbor but I couldn't think of another reason—"
"I gave you the widest of openings," Tommy interrupts. "Hello? Flight lessons? When you finally offered to buy me a beer, I almost dropped to my knees right then and there."
"But you never called me! You're the one who left to hang out with Eddie!"
Tommy throws up his hands. "Ball was in your court! Speaking of basketball."
Buck sighs, exasperated. "We weren't, like, running into each other, I didn't have a reason to call you—don't say the beer—so finally I saw Eddie was going to that pick-up game with you and I dragged Chimney along."
"Right," Tommy says. "And you played basketball with us. We kicked your ass in a way that made me think you were pretending to be bad at it to make me feel good or something? And then there was the whole thing with Eddie's ankle."
"I hate basketball!"
"You brought your own ball!"
"I same-day ordered a basketball so that when I showed up you'd be like, wow, that guy's ready for basketball, what a cool guy!"
"So you're mad that your basketball ruse worked on my dumb ass, and worked so well for six months that I got you Lakers tickets for our anniversary."
Buck's so annoyed that he put it like that. Maybe that's true, but he didn't have to say it. "I don't like basketball! It was a ruse but I didn't hide it after. You watched games with Eddie and I never came along because I don't like basketball."
"You said you wanted us to have our Eddie-Tommy friend time!"
"Why do you make me sound and feel like a five-year-old? Eddie-Tommy friend time? Seriously?"
Tommy folds his hands together like he's in prayer and shuts his eyes. "Okay, listen, I just. I wanted to get the house thing off my chest, alright? Because it's—it's bothered me so much."
Buck could argue about the basketball thing for about another 500 years, except that Tommy has said what he said. "Has it?"
Tommy puts his hands in his lap again, folded politely as he looks at Buck. "I meant what I said. You were so swept away in how new and exciting everything felt, that I felt like you forgot who you were talking to. Like… I'm not a guy who's going to move in with you. I'm a guy who has a house with a home gym and a car lift, and—and the winter was so mild that I put in this little patio space in the backyard. I bought furniture for it. I took this corner of my front lawn, too, and started to plan a pollinator's garden because they sounded really interesting after those three days of bee hell. Evan, I have a house."
"You keep saying that," Buck says. His ears are burning, but he's listening too intently to feel embarrassed about it (much).
"I freaked out, alright? Because I heard: give up your house to live in this downtown loft with a couch that has a faded but GIANT blood and placenta stain on the other side of the cushion, and then the words engaged and married got thrown in there, too? All in the same breath?"
Buck stares flatly, then nods. "Yeah. I get it. Sorry." He clears his throat and grabs his water before Tommy can offer it to him. He takes a sip, looking at Tommy before he nods at the closed door. "Are we done here?"
"And I'm not a gay rights hero," Tommy adds. "You said that, too." Tommy looks away, and looks so miserable. "I'm just a guy, Evan. I've been burned before by younger guys who thought I was everything that their first gay boyfriend should be, and then—and they didn't see who I was. It's always—" Tommy holds out his hands like he's balancing scales. "Not straight enough to fake a life with a woman, not gay enough to have a real life with a man."
Buck hasn't done this in so long that his throat almost aches with it. He sighs, pained and breathless, the word crinkling against the mask: "Tommy." He swallows again and asks, "Did you really think that was me?"
Another long pause. It ends with Tommy saying, "I thought you were too good to be true."
"I'm not, though, I'm—I'm just me," Buck says. "And I did have a lot to figure out, but not about you."
Tommy laughs suddenly. "Really? Because you forgot I was a homeowner and I didn't know you hated basketball. Did you even go to that game?"
Buck coughs. "I gave the tickets to Karen and she took one of her brothers. They're nuts about the Lakers."
"Huh," Tommy says. "Well. I'm not mad about that."
The two of them are quiet until Buck says, "Seems there's a lot of things we don't know about each other."
Tommy glances at him; Buck can see the shape of his smirk beneath the mask, and the very specific way it makes his eyes crinkle. "And just when we thought we knew everything about each other."
"Yeah, I thought that, too, and then you dropped that you were engaged to my first serious girlfriend at our six month anniversary dinner." Buck raises his eyebrows. "Do you land helicopters that smoothly, too?"
"I got you here, didn't I?" Tommy bites back, then catches himself with a laugh. "Okay. Fair point."
It's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy, it's so easy and Buck hasn't had it easy for months. He hasn't had these quips, this back-and-forth, this person who got him until he didn't, who—Buck rubs at his eyes. Tommy made it easy. He made everything easy. Not perfect, not effortless, but easy. Easier.
"So, uh." Buck fusses with the blanket in his lap. "What have you been doing for the past four months? You, uh…"
"Am I seeing anyone?" Buck nods. "I was, yeah. Didn't last that long."
Buck can't help himself: "Neither did we."
"Ouch." Tommy looks back. "And you?"
"Yeah," Buck says. "I liked them but I broke up with them because it just—it wasn't going anywhere."
"And what's wrong with that? Staying in one place? Isn't that what you wanted for us?"
It's not, but Buck can't articulate it, so he says, "Do you think that's the same?"
A beat, and then Tommy says: "No. No, I don't."
"Tommy," Buck says quietly. "How many people do I have to be with before you decide I've figured it out?"
Tommy's eyes widen. "What? I never said that."
"Tell me what you said, then." Buck swallows painfully, that turkey flu kicking his ass harder than he thought. "Tell me what you meant when you said I didn't know what I wanted. Because I told you what I wanted. I told you I was ready for something and all the things we did together, I thought that you believed me. I guess you didn't, so tell me how many bodies it'll take before you believe me."
Tommy doesn't say anything.
"God, and you know what really sucks?" Buck asks. "That we were together long enough to talk about who we'd been with so we could get tested and be safe. We talked about all that, but I never told you how many times I'd had my heart broken and you never told me yours."
"Three," Tommy eventually says. "Shawn, who was like… all of 25. He was all-in, knowing for sure that the first time was the charm, and I was old enough and steady enough to be That Guy. I believed the hype even though I was barely out of the closet. I shouldn't throw stones at Abby's House of Himbos when I set up my own on the other side of town. And then there was Raúl, my Army buddy who came out to his family and immediately moved to LA to get away from them. Everything felt like a fresh start for him, but… not quite for me."
Buck thinks to ask, but Tommy beats him to it. "Do I need to say the third?" Buck shakes his head. "What about you?"
"Abby, and you." Buck looks at Tommy as he says, "It's not just ending things with someone because it doesn't work. It's heart break. Something's gotta break and be mended."
"I don't think I did that part. You've one-upped me there."
Buck wouldn't have believed that 20 minutes ago, but he believes it now.
"So Bobby's been there, watched me since I was Abby's himbo and helped me to grow into the person who wanted that stuff with you. Once he, kinda, told me that if I care about how people see me, then I haven't learned a damn thing," Buck says. "And that is and isn't true, here. I can't live hoping I meet people's expectations of what they think I should be. I want people—I wanted you—to see me as I am. I thought you did but you didn't, and I didn't either because I didn't see how scared you were. I've made my peace with that. We had something really special and made each other feel really good but, in the end, I guess we were saying all the right things to people we didn't know."
Tommy listens, considers, and nods. "Whole lot of past tense, there."
Buck glances at him and doesn't want to look away, but he does. He doesn't meet Tommy's eyes. He's scared, too. He's done enough today: said a lot of things he's been thinking about for four months and said them very calmly and thoughtfully, but this is gonna hurt. It hurt Buck to realize it and it's gonna hurt Tommy to hear it.
"You got what you wanted, right?" Buck asks. "You got to keep your heart, and I don't feel new and excited anymore." Buck inhales deep; it hurts. "I feel like I did before, like I'm short one piece of being whole. Now the ocean I have to search is so much wider and deeper. So thanks for that, I guess."
"Evan—"
"I let you into my family," Buck interrupts sharply. "Because I cared about you and because you fit. I fit because they're mine and that's my family I made, and you fit there right next to me. With us."
"You're absolutely right."
Buck watches him, tries to see behind the sunshine yellow and white mask on his face, but all he sees are his eyes that, like always, make Buck feel too much, like laser beams disintegrating him.
"Were you really that scared?" Buck can't help the way his voice cracks. "You were that scared of me?"
Tommy looks up again, lasers in place. "I was that in love with you." He shakes his head like he did that last night in the kitchen, and looks up like he'll tip the tears back into his eyes. "And those heartbreaks—you'd leave them light-years behind if I let you. You'd leave me light-years behind."
Buck nods, then says, "Could you leave, please." His wet breathing crinkles grossly in the mask. "Thanks for telling me all this, thanks for the closure, but I don't need to see what someone looks like after they've walked away from me."
"You collapsed at a scene three days ago and I was the closest pilot to medevac you here," Tommy says slowly. "You were delirious and told Shreya, Don't tell Tommy I'm sick, he doesn't care anymore."
Tommy clears his throat. "I do care. I never stopped."
Buck sits back in his hospital bed and pulls the blanket up to his neck, the only comfort he's got right now. "If this is a turkey flu dream, I'm gonna be so pissed at you, real you," Buck says.
Tommy laughs quietly, sadly, then hesitates for a moment. "Can I ask you something? Can I ask you the scariest thing I've ever asked anyone in my entire life?"
Buck doesn't move, doesn't breathe. "What is it?" he finally asks.
"Will you give me a second chance?"
Buck, hearing what he's quietly dreamed of hearing for four months, doesn't feel the euphoria he thought he would. He feels something else, though: a strange kind of wonder that someone wants him again. Again. He swallows hard, feeling the pain right in his turkey-flu-ridden throat. Someone knew him. Someone left him. Someone came back—came back for him.
Tommy left. Tommy came back. Tommy wanted him then. Tommy wants him now. Tommy's wanted him all along.
Buck asks, "Will you invite me to your place more than once every six months?"
Tommy's half-smile is still wide enough for Buck to see behind the mask. It falls, though, back into something serious. "Will you forgive me when I'm not a paragon of queer virtue?"
"Will you believe me when I tell you I've fucked around and found out enough for a lifetime?"
Tommy raises his eyebrows ever so slightly. "Will you believe me when I tell you I've fucked around and found out enough for a lifetime?"
Buck thinks he smiles a little behind his mask, but it doesn't stay. "Are we gonna break up again?"
"I don't know," Tommy admits. "But maybe next time we can stop each other and hit the brakes. I love romcoms, but maybe we don't do that again: you don't propose fixing a problem with marriage and a baby, and I won't run out the door."
Buck raises his eyebrows, too. "Who said anything about a baby?"
Tommy sputters. "I mean, you were the one raising the stakes before."
Buck laughs. "Right, right."
The quiet stretches out between them. They look at each other and don't look away. The stubborn, proud, cocky side of Buck feels annoyed that this feels like—like he can't get out of this. Like all roads lead back to Tommy, like he doesn't have a choice. Like if he wants to be happy, it's with this person.
A part of him wants to run and throw himself into the hunt again. He wants to thrive in the search for someone who makes him feel that euphoria and fondness and love that he felt with Tommy. He tries to imagine someone else, some vague smoky figure that isn't Tommy's height, Tommy's build, Tommy's arms crossed over his chest and that tilt of his head. The problem is that Buck feels more looking at that furrow and arch of his eyebrows than he's felt for anyone he's met in the past four months, maybe even longer.
Not all roads lead to Tommy—only the ones he wants to take.
"Say it again?" Buck asks.
Tommy nods ever so slightly. "I'm in love with you." He pauses and a smile reaches his eyes. "I love you."
Buck can't help the way his eyes water; neither can Tommy.
"Ask me again," Buck says.
"Will you give me a second chance?"
"Yeah." Buck wonders if his own smile reaches his eyes. He hopes it does. "Yeah. Will you?"
Tommy chokes out a laugh behind his mask. "Yeah, god, of course. Of course. You sure?"
"About you?" Buck asks. "Yeah. I mean, I want to be. Don't make me regret it."
"Don't make me give up my real estate."
"Don't make me go to any sports events."
"Seriously? Not even baseball?"
"God," Buck moans. "The sleepiest one of all."
"Hockey's good."
"You hate the Kings."
Tommy scoffs. "Of course I do. You always hate your local teams—you just hate visiting teams more. Can't let management get comfortable."
Buck attempts to take a deep, exasperated breath, but he forgets that he has the fucking turkey flu. He chokes and starts to cough and wheeze, but Tommy's there again. He freely, lovingly pushes Buck further to the other side of the hospital bed so he can sit and take care of him: water, tissues, hand on his chest to steady him, eyes worried and on him.
"It's not official until you kiss me," Buck says. "I'm not contagious."
"I mean, not with turkey flu," Tommy says. "Your Buckness? That I'm not so sure."
"Don't call me that anymore," Buck says.
Tommy puts his cup of water on the table next to Buck's bed, then shifts so he and Buck are closer, face-to-face, head on looking at each other. "How'd you get even brattier in only four months?"
"How'd you forget I was this bratty?"
"At my age, well, everything's starting to go."
Buck laughs, then coughs and wheezes. "Stop making me laugh."
"How'd you forget I was this funny?"
Buck tilts his head. "I didn't. I didn't forget a thing."
Tommy searches his face, then cups his jaw with one hand. Buck doesn't lean into it, just lets Tommy hold him as he tips Buck's chin up ever so slightly.
Then Tommy kisses his forehead and his birthmark, and wraps his arms around Buck. It's the warmest Buck has felt all winter. It finally feels like spring.

i am just so sad right now. like going into s8 i didn’t think bucktommy would be endgame, but the way s8 started changed my mind, so to have them be literally so in love for 5 episodes straight just to have them break up in the most abrupt way?? it just feels so last minute which is shocking because in the interviews this was apparently a planned thing but it doesn’t feel like it at all. Like if this was a concern Tommy had why didn’t it come up at all? like little throwaway lines of Tommy making jokes of Buck getting sick of him or wanted to explore other options or whatever. I hope the backlash makes them rethink, and Tommy comes back but for now it doesn’t seem like it. I guess my only hope is that Buddie goes canon, but even then i won’t be able to really enjoy it. I seriously don’t know if i’ll be able to keep watching the show, not solely because they broke up, but because of how they broke up. (srry for the long ask, just needed to vent)
no apologies needed!
at the end of the day, so many of us found joy in their story, their chemistry, the way even up until the final second tommy admitted that what he wanted with buck was something that would inevitably break his heart.
they were good together. tommy fit into so many intimidating parts of buck's life with ease. tommy is (as far as we know) still good friends with buck's best friend! tommy loved him anyway, loved him warts and all, road shotgun to buck's worst fears and weirdest conspiracies.
at the end of the day, we have a few things:
we GOT them. we got to see them together, we got the soft looks, we got the kisses, the foundation of them that is real and canon in a way we could strike like a match against the edge of a box to light them up for real all over again. i don't think "being canon" gives any credence or superiority to a ship, and have shipped people or characters that have never interacted/existed together in a tangible way, simply because it's FUN. that's how i'll always have fun with ships and fandom, BUT! what a wonderful thing to celebrate that we DID have them, that we have this as a foundation for whatever comes next, that there is never a door permanently closed to them finding each other again when it was already real from the start
for a lot of us, this isn't how their story ends. it's insane that so much fic and content was produced for a canon ship like this. so often fandom is chasing down the what-ifs and never-hads. a lot of us invested in bucktommy because they had the compatibility, the fit, the chemistry, the potential. that's novel shit! that doesn't just evaporate because they broke up in canon. it certainly hurts. the kind of hype we were surfing will crash and sink back in the oncoming months, but i know talking to a lot of people tonight that we aren't done with this ship. we aren't ready to say goodbye.
i'm sad. i'm angry. i felt a real sense of queer euphoria whenever i saw them together, even for 30 seconds, teetering on the edge of this new couple joy learning each other into something new and weird and fun that always lingered as a promise on the edge of their interactions. i was so excited for who buck could become with tommy as his home base. shifting that has rocked me in a bad way.
i expect people to inevitably step away from this ship and this fandom, but i'll mention that non-canon ships like arthur/eames or mcshep or social network rpf or short-lived shows from 1996 (hi sentinel) have had long-lived fandoms and left long-lasting impressions in other fandoms that have lasted for over a decade of zero additional content. this is a playground that, just because they've parted ways for now, we don't have to stop playing in.
and i'll be honest: i have several WIPs i'm like, well trash that! after watching the most recent episode. but i also have a dozen new ideas. new ways they could fall in love now or again, new ways they could meet, new ways they could be for each other.
i'll keep creating. i'll keep dreaming. they won't ever not have the spark that they had. the show could end tomorrow but we'll always have an open door to believing and shaping the thousands of ways they can and will find each other again.

we are the universe | percy jackson
ღ percy jackson x demigod! reader ღ warnings: none! ღ wc: 548
Percy couldn’t tear his gaze away from her. He couldn’t stop looking at her. His eyes were pinned, unable to focus on anything but her form, her face, her body, her.
Her. Her. Her. Everything was her.
The girl’s body pressed against his, radiating an impossible heat, yet he made no move to pull away. Instead, he pulled her closer, craving that warmth, longing to dissolve into it, to melt into her.
Her hair was scattered everywhere, cascading over his naked chest, brushing against his neck, and teasing his lips –though it served as the perfect excuse to leave gentle kisses there.
His hands traced the length of her bare back, fingers gliding carefully up and down her spine. Every now and then, he felt her shiver beneath his touch, a soft tremor running through her –good, he wanted her to feel him, to know he was with her.
Suddenly, she spoke, her voice echoing through the moonlit room and against the skin of his chest.
“Do you think we’re in love in another universe?” Her eyes didn’t open, her expression didn’t shift, her body remained still. If he weren’t paying such close attention, he might not have heard her at all.
“Mhm, good question.” Percy murmured, lowering his head until his lips rested softly on her forehead. “I hope so, those universes would be missing something without us, don’t you think?”
But even as she fell silent, her words continued to drift through his thoughts.
How lucky he was to have found her, but could he find her again in other universes? In other circumstances, other lives? Different bodies, minds, and dreams? In other times, under different stars?
Yes.
He’d do it a million times over; he would still fall in love, always.
And he knew she´d come back to him.
“I think-” He began to speak but fell silent, caught in admiration as she opened her eyes and met his gaze. Her blushed cheek rested against his skin and her lips curved in a weary pout.
She looked so exhausted that he wanted to go find Morpheus himself and demand he grant her a night of deep, dream-filled sleep.
His hand gently cupped her cheek, stroking it softly. His fingers traced the delicate line of her nose, her lips, her forehead, and her eyes, which fluttered closed again.
Such a shame; her eyes were breathtaking.
With a soft motion, he moved her hair away from her face and placed his other hand at the top of her back, finally closing his own eyes.
“You are my only universe. You are every one of my universes”
Her hand found his –the one resting on her face– and gripped it with a gentle force, guiding it to their bodies, right where their hearts met. Summoning the last of his energy, he spoke to her, his words pure and honest.
“We are the universe.”
After all, how could they not be?
hiii! pure fluff and sweet things because it is weekend and i want a boyfriend more. than. ever ! this is based of this image !! maybe i didn't quite understand it? i read a lot of people saying it's funny but i thought it is something so so so lovely to say to someone :(

I am actually heartbroken right now, there’s no other way I have to describe it if not heartbreak and the thing is that I don’t even mean it because of the emotions evoked by the story, it’s actual pain by seeing my favorite show being ruined.
‘Cause I’m sorry but the show is forever ruined for me and I won’t be able to look at it with the same eyes ever again. I’ve said it once before when we were discussing rumors and I’ll say it once again now that we have seen it become a reality…this to me goes behind JJ being a fan favorite and even behind the ship, this is genuinely something that made me lose trust in the storytelling and in the core that’s this show.
This makes no sense, ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE.
Once again I’ll repeat it, I’m no snowflakes when it comes to characters death in shows (hello? Game of thrones fan here? I suffered like a dog) but damn, there’s gotta be a sense for a character dying and there’s absolutely none here, this is also not the type of show when it would be needed.
I’ve always said it and a character like JJ could’ve ended only in ONE WAY to give justice to him and to his story: LIVING HIS FUTURE.
When I say this ruins how I view the show and my trust in the storytelling I mean it with my whole chest, this has ruined JJ’s story from season 1 episode 1 “The Pilot” to this day, JJ’s ENTIRE story doesn’t mean anything anymore…what was the reason for all this? JJ’s story has always revolved around him never believing to have a righteous future in store for him, never believing he could have something good for himself and you get the idea, his whole story arc was about him never seeing anything for him…and he doesn’t? HE ACTUALLY DOESN’T HAVE A FUTURE? What was the point? What was the poiny of seeing JJ struggling from day 1? What was the point of exploring his insecurities? What was the point of seeing him falling in love? This is what I find the most heartbreaking, if I put season 1 episode 1 on right now and I see JJ on my screen, the first thing that comes to mind is: What was the point of any of this? If he never overcame his struggles and still didn’t get closure with Luke? If he died still believing only a episode earlier that he still didn’t have a future for him? If he still struggled to accept the love and never overcame his insecurities? If he never got that future he dreamed about? (which yeah ok he got for like what? 5 minutes of screentime) …what was the point in JJ’s entire story if he never got to prove himself wrong?
The only right way a character like JJ could’ve seen his story end with dignity would’ve literally been living that future he was sure he’d never have: have a house, a job, a family, HAVE KIDS, grow old not being a drunk in prison. And they killed him TWICE in my opinion, physically and also morally by making him die not being himself and still with all that anger and fear inside him and without his story ever finding closure.
None of this does justice to JJ’s story and his arc.
This is honestly what I can’t wrapped my head around, the reason why JJ was a fan favorite was not casual…it was because of his story, when we say “we watch for JJ” is because he’s one of those characters in a show that you’re rooting for, that you wanna see defeat the odds and get the ending his heart deserves…and I’m sorry to the writers because unintentionally they made him the protagonist just as much as John B if not even more at times. When we say there’s no excitement to watch the show now this is the reason: what’s there to root for if we were rooting for their better future and this was the whole story SINCE SEASON ONE?
I had big hopes for this season and I actually enjoyed part 1 but wow was I let down, this ending just killed the entire show for me…there’s no sense in this.
I know I’m repeating myself now but I can’t stress this enough, it destroyed the show ‘cause it ruined the entire purpose of the story. Looking back now nothing about JJ’s story was worth the pain and suffering he went through and looking forward what’s there to say anymore? They’re gonna go hunt for this crown and get rich? Ok, wasn’t the whole moral of the story about the real treasure being their found family?
I loved this show since April 2020 and I would’ve gladly watched it for YEARS AND YEARS ON, but wow I would’ve rather seen it end in the trilogy or with this season with a different ending, leaving a good memory.
I’m not gonna lie…I knew this was gonna happen, I tried to not trust the rumors and I tried to think rationally but when Rudy and the producer unfollowed each other, when Rudy didn’t share anything about S5, when in part the whole story was building around the Pouges being mad at JJ and not saying “I love you back” I kinda figured AND STILL I was hoping to be wrong and I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised ‘cause I knew how bitter it would’ve left me.
And I mean it, I’m heartbroken AND MAD. The story totally ruined.
And can I get this straight, everyone is already jumping on Rudy’s ass ‘cause yeah let’s be real, he probably was done with the show and and all that jazz and it’s not cool at all, but IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME…actors ask to leave shows all the time and in the end it’s still the writers call to decide how to make it happen, there are tons of different ways to write a character off ESPECIALLY A CHARACTER LIKE JJ, who always had that element of spontaneous take outs and with the blank paga that they had with the “surf trip”. There’s only ONE season left, I don’t think that Rudy would’ve refused if asked “hey of we can work around this, how about 5 minutes of screen time in the final episode?”…an open ending for his character that left the audience wonder “what’s JJ doing around the world?” “Where did he go?” would’ve been much more dignified for his story. In the end if they put a definitive ending to him and it was THEIR decision.
I’m actually devastated and I know it sounds exaggerated but this to me has also ruined the entire Jiara community as well…like what do we have left?
There was still so much they had left to their own story, KIARA’S STORY!! What was the point for her to fight so hard for him? to lose everything for him and get what in the end? TO HAVE HER WHOLE STORY REVOLVE AROUND HIM (‘cause that’s exactly what they did this season)? What a waste.
And it makes me incredibly sad ‘cause it has ruined all my excitement towards this part of the fandom that we built a community around…waht do we do with Jiara now? There was still so much I wanted to write for them in fictions and wanted to read from others but this has for the moment completely ruined my motivation to write for them and to even read their ff, knowing their story in canon ended and ended tragically, there’s nothing for their future. This is what I find so sad, there was left NOTHING to the imagination, nothing to let us wonder about their future.
This story ended today and I’ll never be able to look at it the same IF I’LL look at it. What’s the point of a story moving forward if the thing people were rooting for is gone? What are we rooting for if the Pogues are dead and the family is done? ‘Cause yeah, JJ was the core of the Pogues.
I find hard to believe that season 1 and 2 are the same show from season 3 and 4. The writing killed the show for good.
I hope WITH ALL MY HEART that I’ll be able to find back my excitement for my favorite show once again and that I’ll still be able to enjoy Jiara’s content again but I really find it impossible now.
I would’ve never thought that OBX, that show I watched in 2020 with genuine admiration for its story and way of portraying it could’ve been ruined like this. 💔

Fantasize - Bangchan
Author's note: I didn't think I could write about it and I would like to, so I sent it in the form of requests to some writers that I consider enough to do such a feat. But here is my version, I hope others do your reading too, this idea deserves many versions.
Voyver! Boyfriend / Chan!idol x Yn! Fem reader
📍 dumbfication, daddykink, spit, creampie, cum inside, Pet nicknames (baby, princess, love, etc), chan dom, yn sub, without protection, subspace, oral, skrit, High confident Chan.
"I think your act is beautiful, I wouldn't get this beautiful girl with anyone else." Chan says touching his chin, while you sitting the bed follows him as if he were looking at a Greek god, the middle of his legs tight and wet in the short plaid skirt. And your boyfriend with a serious face in front of the armchair.
"She deserves it, she was a good girl." He says sighing, it wasn't your gift dream, but he would do anything for you, until he gave you on a tray to your favorite idol.
"Oh, did she go?" Chan's fingers hold your chin, and you swallow dryly when you see his arm tense on the black tank top. "Is she always good like that?" He leans over watching his blushed face well, and you seemed nothing less than glazed on his face, panting.
"At first she was rougher, because she had never been in a relationship, but then she managed to relax, and she is more than good." Your boyfriend explains looking carefully at all your movements, he felt invisible, you didn't even blink while looking at the man touching you.
"Ah.. so I'm your second little girl?" He asks caressing your jaw and you nod. "How modest." Chan laughs. "Shall we take off this blouse? Show dad everything, except the skirt, princess." He says serious, releasing his chin, watches you taking piece by piece, leaving only the blue skirt. "So beautiful, you are perfect doll."
Chan's voice makes you tremble a little, he exhaled an aura that completely dominated you, you felt helpless and weak, you just wanted to please him.
The shirt flies from Chan's body, pulling a sigh out of you. "Let's go for the basics, okay? I don't want to scare you." He says tender, changing the tone completely, sitting next to you facing your body, his hand snakes to the middle of your legs, touching your clitoris making you gaspe and hold the strong wrist as support. "Wet.. very wet." He says while hearing the embarrassing noises of his fingers, and his panting breath.
Chan lays down his body opening his legs more, giving a great view to his boyfriend, who was moving in the armchair uncomfortable. "Your breasts are so beautiful love.. they fit perfectly in my mouth."
Chan says before completely gribbing one of your breasts, making you arch your back, and whine loudly. His fingers increase in pace when he feels his stronger lubrication. And when he tries to insert a finger, he moans with his breast in his mouth, thinking about how tight you were.
"Damn, how do you get into it?" Chan says as he gets up, and his boyfriend shrugs, somewhat annoyed.
"I'm just careful, she can handle it." He says and chan sighs, sooting not to agine his cock being so tight that way at that moment.
One, two, three fingers were enough to make you roll your eyes, and make chan reach the point of almost insanity, the fast fingers, made a loud noise and his moans accompanied without shame anymore.
"Chan-chan, can I come, p-please!" Chan looks at you surprised by the question, were you so well trained?
"So good for asking, come to daddy love." The simple words make you tremble and close your legs with his hand in the middle, while you ride your high.
Your boyfriend stirs once again, feeling hard and jealous, you never came so strong at first with him.
"Princess? Do I need you to tell me, with protection or not?" Chan bends down to the height of his vitreous eyes, falling in love with his fucked face, caressing the side of his face.
"S-no, daddy, no." Chan cracks his jaw with the answer and nods, holding his face with one hand, and lifting the upper of his body easily, his hands cling to his firm wrist, and he sides the side of the end of the bed, so that his boyfriend has full vision.
"She likes crampie, in case you want to know." Your boyfriend murmurs against his taste, and chan turns to you as if he had seen something rare.
"Does the princess like to feel full?" He says and touches below your stomach, where your uterus would be, and presses lightly, giving you goosebumps. "Do you want my fucking here? Dripping from you?"
It was the end, you rolled your eyes just with that line, and nodded almost desperate. "Yes, Dad, I want to be full"
Chan smiles and moves away to lower his pants, the thick and not at all small cock appeared and made you sigh, would that fit?
"Let's go slowly, baby, I don't want to hurt your princess parts, hm?" He says lying partially on top of your body, watching you nod the speech, your arms surround his neck, and when the thick tip meets the tight entrance, he slowly enters, moaning immediately by the grip, you tilt your head without ever imagining what it would be like to be widened like that.
As much as her boyfriend was not small, he was not like chan, he lifted his body little by little, to have greater control of the slowness, and not to go crazy listening to his sighs and moans.
"Damn, look at this.." he says growling, seeing the cock almost completely inside. "Almost princess, a little more, can you do it? Do you feel good?" Damn, taking care of you at a time like this made you more horny, he moans feeling your grip.
"Yes, you can go, Dad, continue." Look where you connect, you watch the complete junction of your hips, and it was inevitable, the thick tip redding in the mouth of your uterus, the surreal widening and the feeling of being full was enough to make you cum again untouched, squeezing chan that held himself while squeezing your waist strongly to prevent you from moving too much.
"Did you just come with my cock inside?" He asks incredulously, seeing the white circle wrapped around his cock. "Fuck girl." He says feeling even more like fucking you, his state was almost deplorable if it wasn't beautiful. Your boyfriend was discredited watching the whole scene.
Leaning on you again and filling your face with kisses, kissing your neck, breasts and mouth, chan tries to wait for your high to go down a little, and has you returning the caresses after a while.
"You can go, dad." His low phrase makes chan's hips involuntarily move away and meet his again, making both moan.
The beginning of the lunges was romantic and calm, but after chan gets up again, he increases the strength and rhythm, both listen to the bed squeak and swing with the lunges, so overloaded and full, you moaned, while holding your breasts, preventing them from jumping too much.
"Where were you all this time? Dad always looked for a princess like that." Chan talks while still sinking into you, making your situation worse." So beautiful, such a good girl, taking daddy as if it were nothing." He releases your waist and holds your leg tightly, leaving the sample of your finger marks on your skin.
"F-background, p-dad! Ch-filled!" His words were more than random, chan was finally fucking you dumb, it was more than a dream.
"I need you to become a princess." He says stopping completely and leaving you, making you growl, and gives you a nice slap on the thigh, helping you turn around as if it weighed nothing. "You're not going to leave dad without seeing that beautiful ass, are you?" He says as he watches you position yourself on all fours in front of him, sighing with the position he enters again, making you moan loudly while grabbing the sheets. "Shin it.. what a bottom."
Chan begins to lose the pity of his small body, going harder, with brutality, his moans encouraged him and you felt in an irrational subspace.
"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" You repeated like a sacred mantra, the slap on your ass made you jump weakly forward, your left hand held your skirt like a lever and your right hand went to your neck, pulling your body a perfect bow to meet chan's face.
"You're so fucked princess, so beautiful crying, I think I fell in love with you." He confesses in your ear, making you hold your wrist on his neck, while listening to him carefully "your pussy was born for my cock, we can't separate them, can we?" His murmurs in agreement only increased Chan's ego. "I need you to tell me if you want inside, or not, before I decide." He says taking his hand from his neck to his hair, still supporting you, while stocking you until eternity.
"Inside, inside daddy, inside!" Another slap makes you moan and he pulls you by the neck again,
"Open your mouth, baby." He says and you obey blindly, and moan when you feel the spitting ball go down your throat. "So good, my love." He praises and takes his hand back to your intimacy, using his fingers to help you come. "How about coming to dad? Daddy will have to give all his little children, you will be such a beautiful mom, hm? Do you want princess?"
Her high-pitched moan exceeded the expectations of her boyfriend who was dumbfounded, and soon became incredulous when he saw you squirt, wetting the bed and the skirt you wore.
Still feeling your grip, chan shamelessly turns you without leaving you, and stocks up again in an animalistic way, moaning for whoever wanted to hear. "Such a good girl, such a good princess." And holding his waist firmly, he has his orgasms while throwing his head back, feeling ropes and more ropes coming out of him, as had never happened before, you stirred, feeling hot and full, loving the feeling, completely sensitive and silly, and chan when he opened his eyes, felt even more in love.
"Hm, I think already-" your boyfriend was cut off when chan withdrew from you, with his cock all honeyed and still a little hard, and made a point of turning his legs to him showing all the sperm coming out, gushing from his intimate as if it were yours. The thick fingers quickly punched inside again, making you squirm, sensitive.
"Opedy princess, full as I promised." Chan says and sees you still completely absorbed in her subconscious. "Princess? Talk to me." He says it's when you get up with his help, stare at him in a vitreous way, going down his face and finding the beautiful cock still honeyed. "Princess?" Chan tries to get his attention, but his quick movement in getting on his knees on the bed and bending down to take the member to his mouth, cleaned all the remnants of sperm, making Chan moan somewhat surprised.
"What the fuck.." her boyfriend was going to intervene, but Chan raised his hand stopping him.
"This is called a subconscious state, she hasn't fully returned, it's almost an impulse, and it's dangerous to intervene." Chan says and her boyfriend keeps watching you suck another man's cock with pleasure. "Hey, hey, princess.. I'm fine, thank you." He gently touches your shoulders, making you get up and look as if it were something precious. "Are you okay? If so, wave to me" chan says caressing your face and you nod slowly, blinking slowly. "Great princess, I'm going to take a bath for you, I need you to lie down." Chan says slowly while helping you lie down. "Good girl." He praises and kisses your forehead, your nose, and seals your mouth, seeing you breathe slowly and smile minimally at him, warming your heart.
Her boyfriend had two problems now, one between his legs, and an inferiority syndrome that he doesn't know if he could repair.

Paris twilight
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎ ꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
Pairing: Hwang Hyunjin X fem reader
Summary: A joint Versace event leads to a memorable night in Paris.
Genre: Fluff
Word Count: 2.2K
A/N: This was a request from like over a month ago, so here it finally is. I made this super fluffy and kinda sicky sweet compare to what I usually write, so I hope you enjoy it!!
_ _ _
“Look over here! Over here!”
“And this way!”
“Give us big smiles!”
You’d never get used to it, at least, you didn’t think you would. Your head swiveled back and forth and the smile you wore grew brighter. Cameras flashed like stars and no matter how much you tried to ignore it, you couldn’t.
The bright lights made it hard to see, but you had a job to do. Instead of sulking or complaining, your head remained upright. Your spine straightened and you waved out at the paparazzi lining the carpet.
Further down the way, Hyunjin was doing his own thing in the custom outfit that Donatella made for him. It was a never-before seen thing, one that his company hesitated to agree to, but Hyunjin assured them that he was comfortable with it.
The sheer golden shirt left nothing to the imagination and it glittered in the camera light. Tucked smoothly into black pants with a matching fierce eyeliner, it was unlike anything he ever did before. His siren eyes scanned the cameras and he shifted and posed again.
You were in an outfit that you weren’t sure you liked at first. The black dress hung down to your mid-thighs. It was tight against your form and golden chains were used as straps. They hung loose off the sides of your shoulders and strung up along the front of your chest. They shrouded you in glistening gold to make you sparkle like a star.
You were in gold highlighter and a matching eyeliner. Just as Hyunjin’s pants matched your dress, your makeup, jewelry, and dress straps and harness complimented his look. Donatella had purposefully coordinated the outfits to go together and the media was going to eat it up.
You could already imagine the buzz of rumors from Dispatch. You and Hyunjin had already been questioned about your relationship before, but you always played it off as business.
A photo of you together was taken at a cafe three months ago. You were laughing at something Hyunjin said and you were entirely unaware of the sasaeng that watched the two of you go into the building together.
Another photo was leaked to the media only a few weeks later. Hyunjin and you were talking while consuming sushi. In the photo, he was bent over the table on his elbows. His chopsticks were posed to take a piece of sushi off your plate.
It was somewhat true. You two had indeed been going to places because you were discussing work. You had your own thing and Hyunjin had his music. That first photo of the two of you taken together changed your life entirely.
When Hyunjin was questioned by Donatella herself on your identity, he tried to play it off. Just work buddies. Just good friends. However, the further she pressed, the weaker he grew. How could he lie to Donatella? She gave him so much, so he caved.
After a few meetings and measurement intakes, you were set to be Hyunjin’s plus one at her latest event. Donatella was thrilled the moment she laid her eyes on you. She had dreams of turning you into a Versace star. Whatever Donatella wanted, Donatella got it one way or another.
You and Hyunjin tried to keep your romantic relationship hidden, but the moment that Dontella shared a back scene photo of the two of you smiling at each other and captioned it ‘Versace royalty,’ you were both screwed.
The secret was unraveling, fans were speculating, more outrageous rumors were brewing, so this was the night you were both set to come clean. Your heart had been beating a hundred miles a minute since you stepped out of the car. Hyunjin walked ahead and you followed after him, hoping the layer of makeup hid your blush.
After bypassing security, you hit the carpet. The stars couldn’t get into the event without clearing the carpet first. Other guests could easily avoid it, but not you two. Donatella had made it very clear that she wanted you two to show off your outfits. Her team put in so much time and she didn’t want it to go to waste.
“Are you ready?” Hyunjin mumbled as he stepped closer to you. His body was still as warm as you remembered. So many cameras and yet he was acting like this was no big deal.
All you could do was nod. Your eyes found the ground and you blinked a few times. There were so many cameras and your vision was starting to flicker. A headache was threatening to break at any moment. You’d hate to sit through the event feeling miserable.
He reached out and gently grabbed your chin. His dark eyes meant yours and for a brief moment, the cameras stopped. The two of you had traveled here to Paris together. From the plane, to the hotel, to car rides, you had never been alone in this adventure. Hyunjin had been right beside you and reassured you the entire time.
Paris was the city of love. This morning, the two of you walked a few blocks to a less busy cafe. You pointed out the architecture and awed over it. Brightly colored flowers spilled over some areas. Bakeries smelled like yeast, sugar, and freshly baked bread.
The more you walked around the city, the more you fell in love with it all. You were probably knocked as tourists by the locals, but you didn’t care. Hyunjin and you walked side-by-side and pulled bread from a still warm baguette.
You sipped lattes and talked about dreams. Hyunjin fell for Paris almost as much as he fell in love with you. A barat sat on his head and at one point, he wrapped his arms around yours. His warm breath recited some cheesy line from a romantic poem and caused your cheeks to warm.
He laughed at your blush as he pulled away. “Look at you, you’re just so cute!” He gently nudged your cheek with the baguette and while you complained, that teasing grin never left his face.
That was then and this was now. The two of you didn’t kiss on the city streets. There were too many people and you were already risking your relationship with being so handsy, but it didn’t really matter because it was going to be hard launched tonight. You dreaded this moment then, but as his soft lips met yours, your heart melted.
He was as sweet as the french pastry you had for dessert after your lunch. Your lips moved against him and the crowd gasped all at once. In the distance, someone shrieked and the camera shutters flickered faster.
Hyunjin pulled away with a half-smirk. Beneath the lights, your pupils were dazed and your lips had slightly parted. He was away, but you still craved him desperately. You wanted more and as much as you would have loved to grab his face and kiss him again, you had a professional obligation to uphold.
Hyunjin’s hand grabbed yours and with his other, he waved to the crowd. Your flushed cheeks stayed put as your hand gripped his tighter. All you could do was smile as he tugged you towards the event.
You were breathless, joyous, and most importantly, you were in love. It striked your heart like a roaring match. It echoed in your ears with the pulsing of your blood. Butterflies brushed against your stomach and beneath the dwindling sunlight, it felt just how love should.
_ _ _
You couldn’t remember much of the event a few hours later. Your mind was too busy focusing on Hyunjin. From the way he looked beneath the sheer top to the lights illuminating the happiness in his eyes. You wanted to photograph this photo and keep it safe forever.
Donatella’s very own prince and princess, her Versace royalty. Hyunjin mentioned that she had more plans involving the two of you, but you didn’t mind. As long as you were with Hyunjin and he was okay with it, you were prepared for whatever she wanted from the two of you. It’s not often that someone with so much influence and inspiration catches not just one, but two muses.
Out against an iron balcony, you sipped your glass of champagne alone. Hyunjin slipped off to go talk to a few people and he offered to bring you along, but you wanted a moment to take a breather.
The bathrooms were full of dazzling women. They complimented your dress and the way your hair hung. They applauded your golden gloss eyelids and the way you carried yourself with such confidence. Everyone wanted to be as radiant and put together as the Versace Princess herself.
“Would you look at that? It seems the princess ran away from her prince.” Footsteps approached you from behind. An arm wrapped around your bare shoulders. “Looks like we’re going to have to fix that,” Hyunjin teased.
“You left me first.”
“I offered you a chance to come along.”
“I know, but I wanted to catch a break. Besides, can you blame me? Look at this view.” Your arm gestured out into the dead of night.
Inside, the afterparty was full of dancing bodies. The alcohol poured and loosened everyone up. Models and celebrities were sneaking bits of conversation while circling the snack table. Donatella was making her rounds and thanking people for showing up and helping her team.
Multi-colored lights flickered and the music turned up. A dance floor was pushed off to the side. Hired staff served beverages and even more staff kept the snack bar flowing steadily.
On the outside, it was just the two of you alone. Across the darkness, the Eiffel Tower stood covered in golden lights. It seemed so small from where you were, so it was hard to believe it was actually pretty large up close.
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Hyunjin’s arms wrapped around your torso. His chin found a perch against the crook of your neck. “The Eiffel Tower is stunning at night, but it’s not as dazzling as you.”
“Could you get any cheesier?” You playfully swatted his arm. “You’ve got to be kidding. That thing is amazing and it puts me to shame. Look at all the glittering lights. They look a lot like stars.”
“It doesn’t make up even a fourth of your beauty and I can prove it.”
“Hyunjin, I-” You yelped. He pushed you back and an arm moved to support you from behind. One of your heels raised in the air as he bent you down in a dip. His lips pressed against yours and he held you against his body.
Your fingers curled weakly against your wine glass. You struggled to keep it upright as you kissed him back. Beneath the blanketing darkness of Paris, you had never felt so alive. Every nerve inside your body vibrated with glee.
You smiled into the kiss and no matter how hard you tried to stop, you simply couldn’t. The muscles of your face had a mind of their own. You were being dipped down by the love of your life and then-
Click!
Hyunjin’s face pulled away from yours instantly. He glanced over his shoulder to find Donatella standing in the doorway of the balcony. He quickly pulled you upright onto your feet and tried to stutter out an explanation, but she held up a hand to stop him.
Her cell phone sat in her other hand and a smile spread across her face. “I came to say thank you for being my prince and princess, but I wasn’t aware that you were preoccupied with romantic affairs.”
Your brain was screaming at you. How could you be so stupid? She knew you were together, but this was an afterparty for such a grand event. The two of you weren’t supposed to be snogging on the balcony.
“I’m sorry, I-”
“Don’t apologize, look at this!” She turned her phone to show you the photo she took of you kissing. The flash illuminated your bodies pressed against each other. It captured everything from your smile against Hyunjin’s lips to the way the Eiffel Tower posed perfectly in the background.
“Can I post this on my Instagram?” Her eyes darted back and forth between the two of you. Her lips pressed together and she lightly bounced with excitement.
Hyunjin glanced at you and you nodded. The two of you finally agreed and she squealed. Before you knew it, she rushed forward. Floral perfume embraced the two of you as she threw her arms over your bodies.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My Versace Prince and Princess!” She squealed and pulled away. “Ugh, I love it so much! I’ve gotta go show this to my team. I can’t wait to work with this!”
There wasn’t time to say anything as she rushed back into the afterparty. You and Hyunjin shared a glance and he shrugged. “So before that happened, I think we were in the middle of something.”
“I believe we were.”
He pulled the wine glass from your hand and placed it on a small nearby table. “So if you’ll just put that there, I think we can continue.” You hummed in agreement and wrapped your arms around his.
In your head, Paris was now cemented in stone; it’d always be the city of love.

Don't Speak
part two
song for chapter link - this story is based on a dream i had the other night. i decided to make it into two parts!
Summary: you’ve been friends with mingi for a while now. finally, you’ve confessed your feelings and it seems like he feels the same… but not without complications.
WC: 2.5k

“Hongjoong, could you come zip my dress up, please?” you groaned, arms aching from your attempt to stretch them around your back to do it yourself.
Soon enough, Hongjoong was standing behind you, allowing your arms to rest. “There.” He said, pulling up the zipper.
“Thank you.” You turned around and patted his arm affectionately.
It was Mingi’s, one of Hongjoong’s frat brothers, birthday. For once, he didn’t want to have a lavish party; he just wanted a small dinner and to hit the club afterwards. He and Hongjoong were very close, and knowing how close you two were, the invitation was naturally extended to you, as well. In fact, Mingi had grown to like you, having gotten to know more about you a bit from the times you’d interact with him when coming over to their house to see Hongjoong.
“We should get going,” Hongjoong announced, “Mingi just texted me and said everyone else is there already.”
Showing up fashionably late was not your thing. Frankly, you were an early arrivee in most cases, and it’d bother you to be late. However, this time you didn’t mind so much. You noticed Mingi’s eyes on you the moment you stepped foot into the restaurant, preventing any possible annoyance to develop. Whilst everyone else casually greeted you and Hongjoong before going back to their conversations, Mingi continued to scan up and down your frame. The way your dress hugged every inch of your curves, the way your silver jewellery glistened in the warm lighting of the restaurant, the way your dark curls touched the tip of your nipples poking through your dress, the way your smile became an extra lamp in the room. Mingi could go on and on in his head about how felt about you. He’d be pleased to hear you did the same about him, but his feelings were unbeknownst to you and vice versa. Who knew how long it would be until you let him know how you felt?
“Good to see you, Hongjoong, Y/N,” Mingi nodded in your direction, being careful to move his eyes between you and Hongjoong in hopes neither of you would notice his stares, “thank you for coming.”
“Thanks for having us,” you smiled, sitting down in the seat across from him at the table.
The dinner moved along joyously, everyone socialising and filling the restaurant with curious chatter. Occasionally, someone would get a bit too loud, causing others in the restaurant to glance over at the table with slight annoyance. But nonetheless, it didn’t seem to become too disruptive.
You were careful not to drink too much, because you wanted your drunk feelings to be more prominent at the club later. The club which you were going to made the best gin and tonics, too. Despite only having a shot, though, you were feeling a bit giddy. You weren’t necessarily a light weight, but you weren’t a heavy weight, either. You eyed Mingi across the table as he chatted with Yeosang beside him. You watched the way his eyes crinkled when he laughed. God, he had such a beautiful laugh. You closed your eyes for a moment to just focus on his deep voice as he continued to talk about whatever topic it was; you weren’t really paying much attention past the tone of him speaking. When you opened them again, you found Mingi peering back at you, a small smirk playing at his lips. You blushed as you watched him pick up his shot glass, subtly tilt it in your direction, then down the clear liquid. Beginning to feel hot, you couldn’t help but think about dancing with him later. Your bodies pressed against each other, hearts pounding in sync with the music, his breath falling down the sides of your neck. You took another shot, and you were already starting to feel more courageous, so perhaps tonight would be the night you confessed to him.
Around 10 PM, after a two hour long dinner, you had finally made it to the club. It was crowded, more than you expected it to be for a Friday night in the summertime; there were always less students around this time of year.
Hongjoong stood beside you at the bar, taking a sip from his tequila sunrise. “I’ll catch you later, I’m going to talk with San and Seonghwa for a while,” he said, glancing behind you, “you good?”
Whatever Hongjoong was staring at behind you moved and was now in front of you. It was Mingi. “Yeah, all good,” you smiled. Hongjoong was never one to leave you alone in a club, so when he saw Mingi approaching, he took it as an opportunity to not only bond with his brothers more, but give you and Mingi some time with just the two of you. He knew of your feelings for one another, which was to be expected, but he certainly wasn’t going to be the one to spill the secret.
“Having fun?” Mingi sang, leaning against the bar on his elbows. When he did this, he purposefully made sure it was a bit closer to you.
“I am,” you admitted, sipping at your cocktail, “are you?”
“For the most part, yeah,” he said honestly, “I think I’m getting a little peopled-out at this point, though.”
You laughed. “Then why are you talking to me, hm?”
“You’re an exception.” He waved the bartender over to order a drink. “Rum and coke, please.”
“It’s on me,” you inserted, sliding a ten to the bartender, “keep the change.”
“You didn’t have to pay,” Mingi blushed, now plopping himself in the bar stool beside you so he was more level with you.
“Don’t mention it,” you said, “it’s your birthday, after all.”
The bartender returned quickly with the drink, Mingi politely nodding and muttering a thank you to him. He turned to you as he took a sip, “Well, I appreciate it. Thank you for coming, really.”
“I wouldn’t miss it.”
There was comfortable silence that fell over the two of you as you quietly enjoyed your drinks together. Heat radiated between your shoulders that were mere millimetres apart from touching. After a few moments, Mingi leaned in closer towards you so his lips were now hovering over your ear.
“Let’s dance a bit, yeah?” He whispered.
You allowed yourself to fall into his touch, his hand gently guiding you through the crowd of people. He placed his hands on your hips and pulled you closer to him so that your bodies were flush against one another. You could feel him getting harder through his pants, and it only made you want to tease him more. Smirking, you turned your body so your ass was against him, beginning to sway slowly and seductively to the music. You heard a groan from him, chuckling quietly to pretend you didn’t hear anything. As time went by, you felt his grip on you become stronger, and his hunger growing. You weren’t far behind.
He leaned over and whispered, “Do you want to get out of here?”
You squirmed within his arms, his deep cadence sending shockwaves through your body. You took a few moments before answering, but you felt a sudden rush of confidence and impulse to be completely blunt. “Mingi,” you started, turning to face him, “I just need you to know that I like you, and I absolutely want to get the fuck out of here with you right now and you know what else?”
“What’s that?” Mingi responded slyly. He could sense where this was going.
“I want to fuck.”
Mingi was a bit surprised by your straightforwardness, but soon darkened his eyes at your confession. Biting his lip, he pulled you even closer, closing any remaining gap between the two of you, “Seems like you just read my mind,” he chuckled before kissing you.
The taxi ride home was a blur as the two of you were completely distracted by one another, making out in the backseat much to the driver’s dismay. At least you kept it quiet. Once you arrived at the house, it didn’t take long before Mingi had you pressed up against the front door after stumbling inside, tongue prodding open your lips and slipping it across your teeth. Since everyone else was still at the club, you had the entire house to yourselves.
“Where do you want it?” Mingi asked between kisses, “we have so many options.”
You giggled as you bit down on his lip, a moan erupting from him. “I think the kitchen would be fun, then your bedroom.”
“I like the sound of that,” he growled before picking you up and carrying you into the kitchen. You kept your legs wrapped around his waist and hands around the nape of his neck as he placed you down on the countertop. He moved his lips to your neck, nipping at the sensitive skin as you wriggled beneath him in pleasure. “Mingi,” you exhaled, dropping your arms to his back to dig your nails into him.
“I love it when you say my name like that,” he groaned, “but I need to hear it louder.”
You inhaled sharply as you felt his hands slip under your dress, pushing aside your panties so he could reach your clit. He began to make small circles, teasing the entrance every now and then to get you wetter.
“Fuck,” you yelped, feeling one of his fingers enter you. Your breath was heavy, soft moans dripping from your lips as he added a second finger, then a third.
“Say my name again, baby girl,” Mingi growled, pressing against your g-spot, “get loud for me.”
“Mingi!” you screamed, allowing yourself to move closer to your peak. “F-fuck,” you stuttered, feeling unable to hold back anymore. With one final pump of Mingi’s fingers, you felt yourself unravel, your orgasm spilling out onto his hands. He knelt down to drink you up, lightly kissing your sensitive nub and the surrounding area as he did.
You were shaking the entire trip from the kitchen up to his bedroom, causing him to chuckle at the sight of your pleasure and feeling you convulse in his arms. Once he laid you down on the bed, he gently helped you remove your clothing and you did the same for him. You stared at him in awe as his bare body came into view. You’d been dreaming of this moment for months now, and you couldn’t believe it was finally happening.
“Are you ready for me, baby?” Mingi asked softly, crawling above you to align himself with your entrance. Biting your lip, you nodded. You let out an elongated moan as Mingi sank into you, he himself humming in ecstasy. “You’re so tight, fuck!”
“No need to go easy on me,” you mewled, eyes rolling from the feeling of his hard cock brushing against every inch of your walls.
Mingi laughed on tempo with a hard thrust, a scream escaping you. “Be patient, we’ll get there.” You couldn’t help but just allow yourself to scream and cry without a break. Feeling him fill you entirely sent electricity through your body, the pleasure becoming nearly unbearable. “You’re doing so well for me, baby,” Mingi pounded into you, voice cracking with a moan, “letting me fill your pussy like this.” You gripped his hair and pulled hard, a loud cry spilling from your mouth as he began to pick up his pace. He could feel your arousal growing, the squelches of your slick and the slaps of his pelvis against yours filling up the room. “I’m going to come, s-shit,” he stuttered, eyes rolling back as he began to drop himself onto you, losing his balance from his incoming orgasm. He growled loudly, waiting until the last possible second to pull himself out and spread his white ribbons all over your stomach.
You managed to fit your hand between the small gap of his hips and yours, circling your clit as you watched him come on you. You bite your lip and moaned as you felt his hot seed on your stomach, reaching another orgasm. Mingi quickly gathered enough strength to drop himself to your dripping cunt once again so you could come in his mouth again. You cried when he replaced your fingers with his, pushing his tongue into your seeping hole.
“G-god, Mingi!” You yelled, gripping the sheets so tightly that your knuckles started to turn purple, “I’m so sensitive.”
“Come again for me,” Mingi demanded, “be a good girl for me, hmm?”
“I-I don’t know-”
“Come. For. Me.”
You thrashed your body at the feeling of his tongue pressing against your g-spot whilst his fingers played with your throbbing clit. “FUCK!” You screamed again, shaking continuously at the intensity of your third orgasm.
“That’s it,” you heard Mingi chuckle, “that’s my girl.” Mingi slowly moved himself over to the side of you, allowing you to come down from your high before pulling you closer to him for cuddling. “You did such a good job for me,” he cooed, kissing your cheek before nuzzling his head into your shoulder.
“Mmmm,” you hummed, completely fucked out. You allowed yourself to slip into sleep in his arms.
When you awoke the next morning, Mingi was nowhere to be found. You couldn’t deny you felt hurt by this, but before you would come to any conclusions, you’d search around the house first. Once you were dressed, you made your way around the house, asking his brothers if they had seen you if it wasn’t a place you were able to check yourself.
“Sorry, love,” Hongjoong frowned, patting your head, “I’m not sure where he is.”
Your heart sank. It’s happening again, you thought, remembering all of the times in the past you’d been left alone after sleeping with someone. You knew Mingi had a bit of a reputation, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as some people made it out to be. You knew enough about him to know he wasn’t as much of an asshole like people said he was. Though, now you were starting to question that…
You decided to text him, hoping for some sort of answer.
You: i didn’t see you when you woke up. the boys said they haven’t, either. where are you? are you ok?
When you didn’t receive a response for nearly three hours, you decided to check to see if he had even read it yet.
Read at 10:24. That was only ten minutes after you sent the message.
You tried not to worry. Maybe he opened it then had to go do something? You tried to reason with yourself. But it was no use, your anxiety had kicked in. What the fuck?

Our new chance, pt 1
Agatha and Rio are given a new chance.
It's age regression, if you don't like it, don't read it.
Alice is the reader's name, unrelated to the show.
I'm going to write several chapters, so it may take a while for the story to unfold.
English its not my first language.
1750
Nicky and Agatha were walking through the forest, humming a song they had both made up.
"Mama, when can I see her again?" Nicky asks his mother, who looks at him uncertainly.
"I don't know, my dear... hopefully not too soon," Agatha replied, looking around and holding back tears. She knew very well who her son was talking about. Well, she wanted to see her again too, but it was better to stay away, she could feel it.
"But I miss her, my mom," Nicky tapped his foot in disappointment, he couldn't understand.
Agatha sighs and puts her hand to her temple.
"I miss her too, darling, but it was time to separate..." she knew that her son was getting worse every day.
She had to make the difficult choice of leaving her beloved and separating a son from his mother. But it was the best option at the moment, she wanted to get away, to stay as far away as possible.
"But when are we going to see her again?" Nicky insists.
"I hope in a long time..." Agatha answered her son, her voice accompanied by sadness.
The two of them, tired after walking for hours, decide to set up camp in a remote part of the forest, and fall asleep together...
---
The sun rises, and they gradually start to wake up. Agatha was the first to sit up and stroke her son's hair. He was still drowsy.
"Did you have a good night, my darling?" Agatha asks, kissing Nicky on the cheek.
"Yes, I did" he yawns, and slowly sits up "I saw... I saw a girl" he begins.
"A girl?" Agatha asks curiously "in your dreams?". Nicky makes a face of doubt.
"I don't know..." he shrugs "but she was my sister" he says, his eyes full of anticipation for his mother.
"Sister? You don't have a sister my dear" Agatha laughs, children can be creative, especially her son. But Nicky isn't amused.
"I'm serious mama, she was my sister," he says firmly, he knew she was.
"Baby, it was just a dream," says Agatha, tidying his hair affectionately.
"It wasn't just a dream... I saw her, she was there". Agatha sighs, her son was stubborn when he wanted to be "she was around three years old, and her name was Alice!"
"Oh, so she was a toddler" Agatha decides to join in her son's conversation "so you want a little sister?" Nicky shakes his head in denial.
"I won't get to meet her, but you and Mom will," he says smiling, but on the other side Agatha is panicked by her son's comment, what does he mean by that?!
"Okay, enough of this talk!" Agatha starts to get up and pack her things, clearly anxious, "Let's go and get our breakfast..."
-------
2026
She had to be quiet, it was her first time breaking into someone's house. She knew it was wrong, but she was very hungry. She was on the verge of despair.
It had been two weeks since she had left home, her supply of food that could fit into a backpack had run out. And it was the last option.
Luckily for her, there was a doggy door in the house that was unlocked, and she, being a small person, was able to get through it with ease.
Finally, she was inside the house, and with slow steps she headed off to try and find some food.
She quietly opens it and the first thing she sees are grapes, lots of grapes, and her stomach rumbles. She quickly grabs the bunch and starts eating desperately.
So desperately that by accident and because the house is totally dark, she drops something extremely noisy, which crashes to the floor.
"Damn it... no... no" the girl begins to despair, tears begin to form, especially as she hears footsteps coming from upstairs. She finds a corner near the cupboards to hide (still holding her grapes).
----
Rio and Agatha were sleeping peacefully in their bedroom when they heard a noise coming from downstairs. They both get up quickly.
"There's someone downstairs" Agatha says, heading for the stairs and Rio follows her. They didn't do the slightest thing to go downstairs and take the thief by surprise.
They arrive downstairs and turn on the lights.
"We know you're here, come out!" Agatha shouts and starts searching the house.
"You'd better come out, you don't want us to find you," Rio says in a firm voice, but low.
The girl was shivering in the corner of a cupboard, she would be caught, these women would call the police and she would have to go back to her mother's house, the place she had run away from. She was crying with fear, until she sniffled louder, and instantly regretted it.
Agatha and Rio looked at each other. They've both heard. Rio smiles confidently, they have finally heard the intruder.
"We know where you are," Agatha says, slowly approaching where they heard the noise. The girl's heart was pounding.
As there were no answers, the two witches approached their target.
"Boo !" Rio exclaims, when they spot the imposter.
The girl curls up even tighter with her head on her knees, avoiding their gaze, and continues to cry.
Rio and Agatha look at each other in confusion.
They were expecting someone with a menacing appearance or even another witch or supernatural being. But no, it was just a girl. A small, harmless girl, who was cowering and still holding a bunch of grapes.
"What's going on?!" Agatha asked, gesturing with her hands, "who are you?!"
The girl knew there were no options left, they had found her, it was better to give herself up once and for all. But fear prevented her from moving.
"I'm sorry..." the girl whispered so quietly that the women could hardly hear her.
"What are you doing in our house and who are you?" Agatha insists "Get up, thief!" The blue-eyed witch raises her voice and the girl is startled.
Rio stares at Agatha and raises an eyebrow. Her wife was making a scene and scaring the girl.
"We just want to talk, can you get up please?" Rio interferes and asks in a more subtle voice, trying to calm the girl down and ease the situation.
The girl began to breathe calmly to try to calm down, she really had no other option. She lifted her head from her knees and looked at the two girls, her face red from crying and tears streaming down her face.
Her face was angelic, causing the two women to soften their features, especially Agatha who narrowly missed casting a spell on the girl.
"I'm sorry..." she said, trying to wipe away the tears with one hand, while the other wouldn't let go of the bunch of grapes "I'm Alice...".
Agatha and Rio froze when they heard the girl's name.

Twice the love (Daemon Targaryen x Female Reader) (Non Canon Modern Au)
Summary : You meet the love of your life during the worst night of your life but your man might not be who he claims to be.
Warning: Drowning, Resuscitation, Mention of suicidal ideation, alludes to cheating and smut
Note : I'm working on the next chapter of RTHF (I'm not abandoning it) but I had this little thing in my head so decided to write it down.
You remembered that night clearly as if it were yesterday, the night you had seen him for the first time, the night he had saved your life.
You had no intention of dying per say but you were drunk, depressed and lacked the most important skill one required before jumping into the water that was supposedly way deeper than 4 feet. Looking back now perhaps you wanted to die that night, or maybe you had a distorted sense of ideation but he had saved you.
You didn't remember much when he resuscitated you but you remembered his face, his angelic godly face, you remembered his greenish hazel eyes, his cheekbones that were sharper than your wit, and you remembered his silver hair, his curls wet and sticking onto his forehead.
“Come on darling, don't give up, you can't give up”
You remembered hearing his soft murmur as he tried his best to pump the water out of your lungs.
You remembered his face vividly, but then you slipped into unconsciousness once more. When you awoke, you found yourself encircled by your friends, none of whom knew anything about the person who had saved your life, not even his name. He had quietly departed after ensuring you were safe amongst your loved ones.
From that moment onwards you felt as if you owed your life to him, an innate sense of gratitude filled your heart for that strange gentleman, it was as if that angelic man had stolen a part of your soul that you would never be able to reclaim again unless or until you see him but how were you supposed to find him? You didn't even know his name or where he had come from, all you remembered was his beautiful face.
You dreamt of him pretty often, innocuous dreams at first that became intimate later on, more than intimate if you were being honest with yourself, you saw his face so vividly as if he was actually there. You had committed every little feature to your memory, and everytime you woke up, you woke up with heavy breaths and a burning in your loins but then followed the disappointment and the emptiness, a void that you could never fill.
It all came to a stop though, a year later you saw him in a bar, having drinks with his friends, before you could stop yourself your feet dragged you to him on their own, like a moth to a flame you approached him, gently tugging on his forearm to get his attention, you could hear his friends making crude jokes in the background but you didn't care at the moment..
Perhaps you should have cared, and you should have noticed how he had joined them instead of shutting it down immediately. You should have noticed.
“Do you remember me?”
You mustered the courage to ask, your voice tinged with hope and a hint of vulnerability. He took one last swig of his drink before turning his attention towards you finally, looking at you from head to toe.
"Should I?" he inquired, his eyes meeting yours with a look of mild confusion. A year had passed since that night, and you couldn't help but wonder if he had forgotten you, a messed-up drunk stranger he had pulled from the water. Despite the doubts in your mind, you held onto a sliver of hope.
It was him, you wouldn't forget that face, that much you knew, he had been in your dreams almost every other night since that fateful one, he had been making it difficult for you to forget him.
“You saved my life two years ago, Margate beach?” You spoke nervously, sounding like an idiot probably so he chuckled and then smirked in response.
“Of Course i remember, how could I forget you love?”
He told you and you breathed a sigh of relief as you heard those words.
He remembered you.
Now two years later you found yourself seated at a dinner rehearsal, some cousin of his you didn't even know or even heard of before.
He insisted you join him as his plus one even though he knew how important this week was for you and your late blooming career. You didn't want to upset him so you obliged, he had saved your life after all.
You didn't like upsetting him, you didn't like it when he got mad and raised his voice and-
“Excuse me, i think you're in the wrong seat” You heard a lady's voice so you got up and excused yourself as you stepped out of the lounge.
It didn't matter if he got upset sometimes, he had saved your life, perhaps he wasn't how you had imagined him to be in your head during that year you had dreamt of him but you loved him now and he made you happy…at times. It wasn't all bad.
You tried your best to make sure it wasn't all bad.
As you saw him leaning against the bannister in the corridor you approached him from behind and hugged him tightly. His familiar presence eased your anxiety a little.
“You brought me here and left me with people I don't know -”
You mumbled softly so he turned around, you didn't recognise the clothes he was wearing, a black suit you didn't even know he owned, it certainly wasn't his style, you were sure he had packed something else for the rehearsal dinner.
His eyes widened as he faced you and stared at you as if he was seeing you after a long time.
“You-” he spoke softly but then he paused for a moment, his eyes kept flickering, “You are okay” he continued so you looked at him confused,
“I'm okay yeah but I was missing you, I don't know anyone and I sat on the wrong seat like a moron”
He placed his fingers on your cheek and caressed your skin, his touch felt different- softer, more loving, you couldn't really describe it but he seemed gentler, a feeling you have never had before with him, perhaps it was his surroundings, being around the family must have been comforting.
It just bothered you how he had never told you anything about his family or his siblings but then you never told him about your family either, not because you didn't want to, but because he didn't ask.
In the past two years he never even asked why you were so drunk that night that you forgot you couldn't really swim.
Before your thoughts could spiral you cradled his cheeks between your palms and got on your tiptoes to kiss him ever so tenderly. He seemed as if he was taken aback for a moment but then he reciprocated the kiss, you felt your whole body lighting up as he moved his lips against yours, his touch felt soothing, like warm fire in cold winter, he tasted different and he smelled different so you pulled away to look at him for a moment as you couldn't really make sense of it.
“Ray-” You spoke nervously but then you heard his voice.
“I see you have met my twin, love”
You heard his voice so you looked behind in shock, you found your boyfriend of two years standing right behind you, the man who had saved your life staring back at you or so you thought.
“Raymond” You gulped in confusion as you said his name so he walked towards you and placed his arm around your waist to pull your closer, his fingers digging into your waist almost painfully, in the surrealism of the moment you didn't notice how how his hair looked the same way it did after he made love to you or how there was a red mark on his neck that you certainly didn't give him.
“Your brother?” You mumbled as you looked at the man in front of you, the man you had kissed just now, the man whose kiss had made you feel alive again, almost like that night when he had-
As your eyes welled up he furrowed his brows and brought his hand forward-
“Daemon.. Daemon Targaryen, it's good to see you..again.. darling”

Syncing Dream [Aespa x M!Reader]
Epilogue. Je T’aime
Note: well, this is the finale!
Masterlist here
The cold air nipped at Y/n’s nose as he stepped out of the car, Winter following closely behind. The streets of Seoul were buzzing with life, wrapped in the vibrant glow of holiday lights and New Year’s Eve decorations. The atmosphere was electric, festive, and warm despite the chill.
“Wow,” Y/n muttered, gazing up at the rows of lights hanging overhead. He took in the scene—families, couples, and groups of friends, all gathered to celebrate the coming of the New Year. “This place is packed.”
Winter laughed softly beside him, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. “It’s New Year’s Eve, what did you expect?”
“I dunno,” Y/n scratched the back of his neck, looking sheepish. “I guess it feels kinda weird to be out with everyone celebrating… your birthday too.”
Winter smiled, the warmth of her expression contrasting with the icy air. “Just saying, it's your birthday as well.”
The two had agreed to spend both their shared birthdays—and New Year’s Eve—together, something that had quickly become a private, little tradition. After the rollercoaster of emotions from their confessions at Sokcho, this felt like the perfect way to ease into their new dynamic, both as friends and… something more.
Plus, he knew if they were to do it at home, the other three would've cooked up mischievous plans instead.
Y/n was trying his best to keep things cool, but internally, his heart was racing. This wasn’t just another casual outing with Winter—it was the first time they were officially alone together since their confessions.
“I’m really glad we’re doing this,” Y/n said, catching her eye as they started to walk down the lively street. “It feels nice, y’know? Just you and me.”
Winter nodded, her fingers still intertwined with his. “I’ve been looking forward to it too. With all the mad stuff recently… I needed this.”
The faint blush on her cheeks didn’t go unnoticed by Y/n, and he couldn’t help but grin at how cute she looked in her cozy winter coat and scarf. “Yeah, me too.”
-
Meanwhile…
Across the street, Karina, Giselle, and Ningning were huddled behind a comically large ice cream cart, doing their best to remain inconspicuous. Karina was on high alert, checking her surroundings every few seconds as if they were in some kind of secret mission. Ningning, meanwhile, had her trusty binoculars out and was squinting through them at Y/n and Winter.
“Jimin-unnie, are you sure we won’t get caught?” Giselle whispered, nudging the leader with her elbow. “Because I’m pretty sure I saw Y/n glance over here.”
Karina shot her a look. “Relax, he’s too busy being whipped for Winter to notice us. Besides, this is important research.”
“Research? This is pure chaos!” Ningning giggled, adjusting her binoculars for a better view. “I’m not missing a single second of this. Look! He’s blushing already!”
Giselle stifled a laugh. “You think they’ll hold hands again?”
“They better!” Ningning said, her eyes gleaming with excitement. “I didn’t drag you two out here in the freezing cold for nothing.”
Karina sighed in mock defeat. “I can’t believe I let you two talk me into this.”
Giselle chuckled. “You can’t back out now, Karina. We’re in too deep.”
Ningning squirmed with excitement as she caught another glimpse of Winter and Y/n laughing together. “Shh! They’re going into a restaurant! This is it—birthday date time!”
The three quickly scampered behind another conveniently placed lamp post, trying to get closer without being seen.
-
Y/n and Winter settled into a cozy corner of the small, warmly lit restaurant. Not too fancy, but Y/n wasn't pulling any punches, either. The gentle hum of soft music and the clinking of glasses filled the air, giving the place an intimate and festive vibe. A small birthday cake sat in the middle of their table, a candle flickering on top.
“I hope you like it,” Y/n said nervously, gesturing to the cake. “I mean, it’s not much, but—”
Winter shook her head with a smile, cutting him off. “It’s perfect.”
She leaned forward and blew out the candle, her eyes twinkling in the candlelight. Y/n let out a relieved sigh, feeling his shoulders relax. They had been so busy recently with the tour and the holidays that finding time to do something special for her birthday had been a challenge. But here they were—alone, together, and somehow everything felt right.
They ate their meal in companionable silence at first, exchanging stories about their favorite moments from the tour, laughing at inside jokes only the two of them could understand.
“You’ve really come a long way,” Winter said between bites of her food. “Remember when you first joined us? You were so nervous about everything.”
Y/n chuckled. “I am still nervous. Have you seen how you all operate? I’m just trying not to trip over my own feet three quarters of the time.”
Winter giggled. “Well, you’ve done a great job. You’ve been there for us through all the ups and downs.”
"I swear you've complimented me a lot…when we came back from the tour and recently as well."
"Well, my boyfriend deserves all the compliment in this world." Winter shrugged, feeling proud to take charge for once.
Y/n’s heart swelled at her words, but he kept his cool. “I guess I’ve gotten better at managing the chaos. Especially after the whole ‘saesang incident.’ That really taught me to stay on my toes.”
Winter laughed again, shaking her head. “And don’t forget your viral dance to ‘Supernova.’ The fans loved it!”
Y/n groaned, covering his face with his hands. “Please, don’t remind me. That was a one-time thing.”
“You’re lucky I didn’t make you do it again for my birthday,” Winter teased.
“I would’ve genuinely break up with you,” Y/n said, half-joking.
"Puh-lease, I'm too good for you to do that."
-
Back outside…
“Are they flirting yet?” Ningning whispered, still glued to her binoculars.
Karina rolled her eyes. “How are we supposed to know? They’re just… eating.”
“I bet Y/n’s trying to impress her,” Giselle said, stifling a giggle. “He’s probably sweating bullets right now.”
“Y/n doesn’t sweat bullets,” Karina corrected. “He sweats entire buckets when he’s around Minjeong.”
Ningning gasped dramatically. “Look! He’s holding her hand under the table!”
Giselle snorted. “You’re such a sap, Ning.”
“Hey, don’t act like you’re not enjoying this too!”
Karina groaned. “Okay, enough. We’ve spied long enough. Let’s go home before they catch us.”
“But I want to see if they—”
“Let’s. Go.”
Ningning reluctantly put her binoculars away, but not before sneaking one last glance. “Fine, but I’m holding you to this, Karina-unnie. We better spy on them for their anniversary.”
-
After finishing their meal, Winter leaned back in her chair with a contented sigh. “That was perfect. Thank you, Y/n.”
“I’m glad you liked it,” Y/n said, smiling. “It’s not every day you turn a year older.”
Winter shot him a playful look. “Are you calling me old?”
Y/n grinned. “Never. You’re still the same Minjeong from all those years ago.”
She laughed softly, her gaze turning nostalgic. “You know… it’s crazy how far we’ve come, isn’t it? From childhood friends to all of this. It still feels unreal sometimes.”
Y/n nodded, the weight of their journey settling in his chest. “Yeah… I never thought things would turn out this way. But I wouldn’t change it for anything.”
Winter’s expression softened, and she reached across the table to take his hand. “Neither would I.”
-
After their dinner, Y/n and Winter found themselves walking through the festive streets once more. The distant sound of fireworks crackled in the air, signaling the approach of midnight. They strolled hand in hand, sharing quiet moments and light conversation.
Eventually, they arrived at a small park, the glow of the city lights creating a serene backdrop. As they sat on a bench, Winter leaned her head against Y/n’s shoulder, the cold air nipping at their faces but doing little to diminish the warmth between them.
Y/n glanced at her, feeling his heart pound in his chest. “Hey, Jeong?”
“Hm?”
He hesitated for a moment before speaking. “I just… I’m really glad we’re here. Together, I mean. After everything.”
Winter lifted her head slightly to look at him, her eyes shining. “Me too.”
The soft rumble of fireworks echoed in the distance, and as the first of the New Year’s celebrations lit up the sky, Y/n took a deep breath and leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Winter’s lips. It was sweet, tentative, but filled with all the emotions he’d been holding onto for so long.
Winter kissed him back, her hand tightening around his, and when they finally pulled apart, she smiled up at him, her cheeks flushed. “I thought that was my job,” she teased softly.
Y/n grinned. “Consider it payback for all the pranks and trouble you put me through.”
Winter giggled, leaning into him again. “Best birthday ever.”
-
In the distance, Ningning’s muffled voice could be heard as the trio finally retreated. "That was so cute! We need to do this again for their anniversary!"
Karina groaned. "No. Absolutely not."
Giselle shrugged. "I kind of want to - oh, Minjeong's calling me?"
Everyone was sweating buckets. "She is? She doesn't look like she took the phone, though?"
Still confused, Giselle reluctantly picked up the phone. "Jeong-ah?"
"Hi, Aeri-unnie, enjoy the spying?" and Giselle almost dropped her phone.
"S-spying? What are you talking about?"
"Can you put on speaker mode, please?" Minjeong asked. Still confused about her antic, Giselle pressed the speaker button, totally unexpected about what about to come out of Winter's mouth.
"Hi guys, hope you guys enjoyed spying on us…even though you all suck. I'm just gonna call you that…I won't be going home tonight, and so those Y/n. Bai!"
"YA, KIM MINJ-" and the line went silent.
"…should you cut the line like that when Rina was about to rip us off?"
"Eh whatever." Winter shrugged. "That's what they get for spying on us."
"Pff" Y/n laughed. "Well…if we're not going home, then where are we going next…hon?"
Winter blushed at the nickname. "Well…beside us getting ripped by Jimin-unnie tomorrow…" She twirled her platinum blonde hair. "There's something you gotta rip tonight, mister."
…"Oh my g- Kim Minjeong!" Y/n was the most flustered he has ever been.
"Hehehe" Winter laughed. "Let's go, jagi."
And as the first of the New Year’s fireworks lit up the night sky, Y/n and Winter shared one last quiet moment, knowing that this was just the beginning of their next chapter—together.

g’day! i saw that you're receiving requests: so is it OK to request osamu with his significant other who calls him "ochamu" instead of "osamu" just to get a reaction out of him? sort of like baby talking his name if that makes sense??? i think it's super funny that he might look at you like you're crazy at first then get used to it overtime (atsumu gives him the side eye every single time) 😭
but ofc, this is more of a suggestion if anything ^^ feel free to delete/ignore if it doesn't spark any inspo or you don't have any thoughts on it! ++ i know you wrote abt samu recently so maybe he should wait a little longer to get his turn PFFT. thanks for your time btw! i love your workssss ✨
Baby Talk
note: I love your brain omg- this was so fun to write lol. Hope you like it!!!
“Ochamuuu, pay attention to me.”
The moment the word ‘Ochamu’ was uttered from your lips, Osamu did not react positively. Sitting on the other side of the sofa, you see his lip curl in disgust. The side eye directed towards you was lethal.
“What. Was. That.”
It was hard, but you managed to hold your giggles in. You pull the most innocent face you can and say, “What do you mean, Ochamu?”
He immediately gags and puts his hand out at you. “Oh my god. No. Babe, what the fuck.” He's looking at you like you grew a second head. You laugh and punch his arm.
“What? What did I do?” He raises his brows and laughs, perplexed.
“What did ya do? Ya sound stupid. Don't do that again, it was creepy.”
You giggle again and respond, “I love you, ‘chamu.” His frown gets even deeper as he stands up from the couch and walks away shaking his head.
“I love you too, but no. Just no.”
–
“Ochamu, pass the salt please.” You ask sweetly. He stops mid bite and turns to you unimpressed.
“Really? This again?” You hum and shrug your shoulders. “I have no idea what you are referring to, my dear husband.” He gives a small smile and resumes eating.
“Now that's a nickname I can get behind. The other one, not so much. How the hell did ya come up with that anyway?” He questions, finally handing you what you asked for.
“I honestly don’t know. I think it came to me in a dream or something.” You gasp. “It was a message from a higher power. Ochamu is your destined nickname, I'm sure of it.” He lets out a little chuckle at that and places a kiss on your cheek.
“Sure, whatever. If it keeps you entertained, I'll allow it.”
–
“Ochamu, have you seen my brush?” You inquire as you pop your head out of the bathroom. He's sitting on your bed, scrolling through his phone.
Without looking up, he answers, “It's on the dresser, baby.” You bite back a smile.
“Not a single comment this time, huh?” He blinks and glances up at you.
“What do ya mean?”
You let out a shocked laugh. “Wha- you didn’t even notice?! I used that nickname you hate.” He groans and throws a pillow at you. “Yer usin’ it too damn much! Messin’ with my head!” He huffs and crosses his arms. You roll your eyes and move to sit down next to him.
“Admit you like the baby talk.” He gives you another dose of side eye.
“I’d rather not.”
–
You, Osamu, and Atsumu had all decided to go grocery shopping for dinner ingredients. Rather, you and Osamu were, and Atsumu tagged along because he was bored. Osamu was in charge of the list, Atsumu was pushing the cart, and you were the one grabbing the ingredients. You were walking aisle to aisle, taking your time, while Atsumu was grumbling like a bored child.
“Ochamu, what's next on the list?” He opens his mouth to respond but gets cut off.
“Ew, what the hell?” Atsumu makes a grossed out face and does a barfing motion. “Yer such a weirdo! ‘Samu, ya let her call ya that?!” Osamu scoffs and takes your hand, leaving Atsumu behind.
“Yer just jealous yer single. Scrub.” You can still hear Atsumu squawking when you get to the next aisle.

Struggling a little bit with picking up my pen (opening my laptop) and getting back to work on the wip today after *gestures vaguely* everything. Like, it was always going to be rough getting back down to it after a week off to move halfway across a continent on little more than sheer willpower and hope for a better future, but the way things have fallen out politically in the States is really weighing on a lot of us, no matter where we are and what we have going on.
Anyway I spent some time navel gazing this morning trying to get my head in the game again and ended up coming around to the thing a lot of us creatives have been returning to: All art is political. So, I took a long hard look at what I've written so far, and what it's saying about the world— both "the one we dream about and the one we live in now", to borrow from Anaïs Mitchell—and me, as the person putting it out there.
I wrote A Sweet Sting Of Salt, for fun—as escapism, really, during a period of intense upheaval and loneliness...which also happened to coincide with the first Trump administration. It ended up being a story about freedom, consent, women helping women, defiant queer hope & joy in a difficult time and place, finding beauty and love and community in a harsh world—and a misogynist abuser getting exactly what he richly deserves.
Today, I'm finding comfort knowing that even in what was written as a "simple" historical fairy tale, with no agenda beyond giving lesbians a happy ending in a period drama, there is no denying the queerness and feminism of a worldview that values that happiness.
Anyway, that's me musing on the nature of what I do, and where it fits in the world right in this moment. I'm glad that right now it's making me feel proud and energizing me to go on doing it as long as I possibly can: I'm sufficiently unpacked in my new place to function, so as soon as I send out some day job applications this morning, I'm getting straight back to work on my next queer book which feels like the thing I'm good at that I *should* be doing in this moment. The new one includes a whole through line about solidarity, the inherent violence of throwing others under the bus in an effort to improve one's own lot, and the slippery slope from doing what seems easy and painless and "not that bad" to true evil—I dunno, but that feels real apt at the moment.
All this to say: the work may feel hard but by damn it's my work and I'll keep on doing it until the moss grows over me.

I'm a bit afraid to ask, but is Anastasia! Donnie into poetry? I wrote a little something for him. (I'm not the best writer I'm sorry in advance)
In a sea of flowers, there’s much to choose from.
Red roses,
purple violets,
blue hydrangeas,
and orange lilies too.
As cliche as it may sound, I’d always come back for you.
Nurture and cherish,
protect and care.
Love is a thing meant to be shared.
Let’s grow our ocean of flowers, a lover’s getaway.
I’ll be sure to remind of you my feelings,
my hopes,
my dreams,
my everything.
Each and everyday.
I've been staring at this ask (And a couple others, waiting in my inbox) for so long and have barely had time or energy to answer- So here you have a blurb :)
The stationary
When Donnie enters the room they were staying in for the night his eyes immediately take notice of the piece of stationary lying on top of his own writing bloc.
To him, it seems immediately out of place, the warm color of the paper contrasting easily to his eyes against the usual off-white cool tone of his own preferred stationary.
And with the way it lays on top of his own things, he knows he didn't leave it there, that much is obvious from the instant he opened the door, what isn't as obvious is the smell he recognizes as he gets closer to the desk, and the recognition drives him to grasp the paper as fast as he can, his eyes falling upon the words with a craving he was unaware of a moment ago.
His eyes run through the words once before he let's out an involuntary sigh and then his eyes are running through the words again, much slower, like he is savoring every word with his eyes, overanalyzing them in his mind, thinking of each word, of the punctuation, of the way the pen had ran through the paper for these words to be written down over and over.
His grin would be confused as manic by his brothers if they were to enter the room by the third time he reads it, and the letter will be carefully worn only around its edges in just a couple months.

even when things were different between them, when things weren’t laced with uncertainty and misunderstanding, miller was never quite able to grasp the inexplainable connection they shared, the power she had over him. and if he couldn’t explain it then, he definitely can’t now, as he finds himself wrapped up in her, kissing her in the familiar way that he does, the outside world fading to a quiet blur, when they’re in each other’s embraces. despite its openness, the display of love itself, it’s an intimate act between them, as if they’re the only two in existence, right now. he doesn’t shy away from it, from her, like he has done with someone else; uncaring as to who witnesses such a grand public display of affection. the world moving around them slowly comes back, as they part, lips buzzing, heart racing, hands shaking. he tucks them away, as he follows her to the front door, as if he could quell that need, desire. not for anything further, but just to… do that again, and again. until they’ve both run out of air and they’re turning blue in the face. god, how has he ever gone so long without something like that? because it’s love, he understands now, that still circulates between them, bringing them together again and again— how could he be so stupid, to try and convince himself that he could survive without it? heart beats a steady pattern in his chest, echoing in the cage of his ribs, as she unlocks the door, taken back in time to when this was their normal routine. when he would stand behind her, distracting as always, lips pressed to her neck or shoulders, his laughter against her skin, fingers against her waist, her hip. despite how much he may want to do that, now, he forces himself to hold back, as if to not overstep, to maintain some resemblance of a boundary, after what they’d just shared outside. that all goes out the window once they’re past the threshold of the door, his arms wrapping around her waist once she’s back against him. “ missed you, ” he echos back. “ so fucking much. ” and it’s one of his most vulnerable confessions of all, thinking back to those nights he’s spent alone, thoughts drifting to her, to wishing that she could be here with him. he transmits that into the kiss they share, here, in the apartment they used to share— the walls whispering memories of laughter, of tears, of late night conversations, early morning goodbyes before they went about their day. it’s dirty coffee mugs in the sink, and books against the wall, paint splattered on the floorboards. it’s the two of them sharing a breath, a life, a home. and it’s still present, in the kiss they share, in the smile chiseled into his features as they part for air, a quiet chuckle departing his lips. “ no, well… i also wanted to see what you’ve done with the place, ” he teases, gaze of endearment, as he looks down at her, lips tingling for more. “ i hope this is real, though. that it isn’t a dream— it feels real to me, ” but then again, she always has. and he can’t accept the alternative; that he was halfway across the country, merely thinking of her, dreaming of her, of this, of the love that still clearly flowed between them, held them together. “ but, i… i don’t have any expectations, coming up here, you know? ” he wants to clarify. “ i mean, we can just talk, if you want, ” somehow, that feels like it exposes a lot, how it’s an absent piece of the puzzle in his life. disguising it with a soft chuckle, he allows his hand to find her own, intertwining their fingers. “ i’ve really missed talking to you. ”
everything else ceases to exist the moment his lips meet hers; all that previous aching and longing and pining comes rushing from her system, replaced with something sweeter, something warm, that fills all that hollow space inside her. it’s been so long since they shared anything like this, since they allowed themselves to forget the boundaries that confined them. yet with how he’s kissing her, it feels like the very first time all over again, or at least different, somehow, like it wasn’t just a kiss out of need, but to transmit something more, something that felt a lot like love. regardless, she’s returning it full force, her lips gliding against his effortlessly, as if they were made for one another, to fit together so perfectly, even after all the time and distance that separated them, before this moment. she pours every ounce of herself into it, fingers curling against his jaw, trying to tamper her own desperation, forcing herself to slow down, to take all of it in, instead of allowing her impatience, her need for him, to take over. it’s difficult, though, with how long this desire has compounded in her system, and not even just from tonight, but over all the years since they last found themselves in this position. it really never went away, did it ? she can feel it, in the sparks that fly, that catch on her skin, leaving her buzzing and breathless by the time he pulls away, the taste of him still ever-present on her tongue. god, she’s not even sure she could form a sentence right now after a kiss like that, let alone make it to the door of her apartment, but she finds herself chuckling along with him, forehead pressed against his. “ fuck, you’re so good at that, ” she breathes, smiling against him. “ maybe we can just count that one as practice, though, ” because she didn’t want it to be the last time, no, she wanted it to happen again, and again, until her lungs stop working, until they’re both too exhausted to keep going. “ think you’ve earned the right to come inside after that, yeah, ” she teases, remaining close as she leads him up to what was once their door, shaky fingers unlocking it with haste, suddenly overwhelmed by how familiar this was, struck with a sense of deja vu, like they traveled back in time, to when this was a normal, every day occurrence. once they’re tucked safely inside the sanctity of her apartment, she turns back to him, wasting no time in pressing herself against his frame once more. “ i’ve missed you so much, ” she breathes, eyes scanning his features carefully, gaze filled with nothing but endearment, with love. “ one more, ” she whispers, leaning in to kiss him again, knowing they’re well past their limit, but losing herself within the kiss, anyway. “ you didn’t ask to come inside just to kiss me, did you ? ” she teases, yet she pauses, still, to reassess, to make sure he did want this, that she was reading it correctly. “ we definitely can, though, if that is what you want. i’m just… i don’t know, i feel like i’m in a dream. i’m not, right ? this is real ? ”

"I miss you, Bubba. When are you coming home again?" you ask your husband, Robert, as you're FaceTiming him in a hotel room near the set where he's filming, though he doesn't know that. As far as he knows, you're on a trip for work, and not getting ready to surprise him in less than an hour from now.
"It should only be another week or two at most, Gorgeous. We're almost done here, and then I'll be all yours for the next two months," he says with a tired smile, the long days and hard work getting to him. He's not the youngest anymore, and even though he always keeps going, you can tell he needs a little distraction, and you're looking forward to being the person to provide precisely that.
"Hmm, I can't wait," you say with a small smile, and he smiles back at you.
"I have to go again, I'm up next. I'll talk to you tonight, okay?" he asks, and you nod. Your heartbeat quickens as you know you're going to see each other sooner than he expects, a nervous chuckle escaping when you hang up and shut your laptop.
You and Robert have been married for nearly 15 years now, and every day is more exciting than the last as you get to spend more time with the man of your dreams.
After rechecking your hair in the mirror, you slip on your red leather jacket to complete your outfit and head out the door, where your Uber is already waiting for you to take you to the set where Robert is currently filming for an upcoming Marvel movie.
When you arrive, you send a text to one of your friends who's a producer so the plan you have come up with can be set into motion, meaning he won't notice you coming onto the set and ruin the surprise. With every step you make, your heartbeat intensifies, and the butterflies in your stomach go wild, too.
When you take your place, you have the perfect view of your husband as he's filming an action scene in which he has to fight a few of his co-stars, and you can't help but check him out in the process. Your thoughts are soon interrupted, though, because when Robert catches a glimpse of you, he stops dead in his tracks.
"Gorgeous? What- how-" is all he can say before running over to you and wrapping his arms around you in a crushing hug, large smiles on your faces as he does. After more than a month of being apart, there's no better feeling than having him in your arms again, and smelling his cologne.
When Robert gets excited, he has been known to make some squeaking noises, which you find absolutely adorable. Deep inside, he'll always be a little kid, and in moments like this it warms your heart to see that side of him after a long day at work. He knows he's safe to be himself and allowed to let go around you, and he happily does.
"B-Bubba, you're crushing me!" you say as he hugs you so tight you're having trouble breathing due to his enthusiasm. He lets you go for a moment, instead cupping your cheeks to pull you in for a much-needed kiss, the entire world fading away as he does.
"I love you so much, Gorgeous, I can't believe you're here but I'm so happy you are," he whispers as he gazes into your eyes with adoration.
"I love you too, Robert. I couldn't wait any longer to see you," you tell him, and he can't help but smile in recognition. He feels the same about you, and the rest of the shooting day goes by in a blur as he knows you're watching him. It's like he's on cloud nine the entire time, and it's all because of you: the woman he loves.
