at this point i will fully just be blocking anyone who says they're voting third party idk how to get it into your brains that by voting third party YOU ARE VOTING FOR DONALD TRUMP. if he wins, you're not getting another chance to vote, you're not getting another election, because he WILL become the dictator. he has smart people behind him, horrible people, but people who know what they're doing and know how to manipulate laws and twist them in ways where trump can do whatever he wants.

kamala harris is a good candidate. she is the most pro-palestinian candidate we are EVER going to get who actually has a shot at winning this thing. she's a black and south-asian woman who understand the struggles that minorities face and does her best to fix them. she is smart, she is pro-abortion, she is literally the most liberal candidate we will EVER HAVE who has a remote chance at winning. she has a positive stance on lgbtq+ rights and worked to make sure the gay and trans panic defense was removed. she protected children and women and people of all kinds who were sexually assaulted. she made it so that children who were SEX TRAFFICKED wouldn't be prosecuted for BEING TRAFFICKED.

she is a good candidate. hell, she's a GREAT candidate. she's leagues better than biden, at this point i honestly don't know what you all are hoping for. we are never going to get the hyper-liberal, massively far left candidate some of you seem to be hoping for. that's just not a possibility: this is politics. you can't appeal to that tiny corner of the population and still hope to win. i wish you could, but that's just now how it works at this moment in time. kamala harris might be the best presidential candidate in the history of the united states.

and even if she wasn't: have you forgotten what 2016-2020 was like?! have you forgotten who we're fighting against?! because donald trump is a nightmare scenario. he is literally the opposite of everything that liberals and far-left people like myself stand for. when bush was running against al gore, the only reason that there was even a supreme court case that appointed bush was because too many people voted third party. you can't do that shit. i wish you could, i wish we had more options, but we just fucking don't.

This was bad. This was really, really bad.

Danny was hiding out in an inconspicuous alleyway. A... hopefully enough out of the way alleyway that certain ghost hunters, aka his parents, wouldn't find him in in the matter of a few minutes.

Considering his streak of luck this day, his hopes of having more than a few minutes of respite were close to zilch.

They shot him! And now he's stuck as Phantom. He can't turn back and they're after him and he can't escape can't hide can't do anything-

The Fentons have been chasing after Danny almost the whole night. Always hot on his tail, no matter where the half-ghost went. Unable to turn back to his flashy sleep deprived teenager self. His parents had proudly showcased their upgraded ghost tracking technology that morning. The excuses he had to make to them when the Specter Tracker snapped in his direction the moment his Mom turned it on were... awkward at best, unbelievable at worst.

'Must be the ectocontamination messing with the, the um… tracker!' Ignore the fact that if that were the case it would also hone in on you, please please please

'... with the Fenton Specter Tracker.' Aaaand totally not because I'm the thing you're tracking down ahah. That would be crazy, right?

That was this morning. (Or was it yesterday morning now?) This was now.

And right now?

He's stuck in ghost mode. After being shot by his parents! His bad luck probably started right that very morning (yesterday morning?), not just with the Specter Tracker fiasco, but with the fact his parents didn't bother to share a very important tidbit of information! They managed to upgrade the Ecto-Stoppo-Power-Erfier (TM pending). The one he was shot by that one time in the lab? Yeah, that very one. It's pocket size now!

... if the pockets could fit a microwave... NOT IMPORTANT!

Danny had been out on patrol, because of course he had to go on patrol before an important English test that could shift his final grade from an F to a D. Not that he could've known this would happen, but he should've at least had enough common sense to figure something may screw up his already fucked up sleep schedule.

And of course he had to leave his phone at home. So he can't contact Tucker, Sam or Jazz to help him out of this honestly sad situation.

Calling this sad is an understatement. Terrible, horrifying, nightmare come to life would be more accurate if Danny's being honest with himself.

Yeah, sure, he could prooobably risk it and fly all the way home from the other side of Amity Park, crash land into Jazz's room, give her a heart attack and hope she maybe had some ideas as to how to get him back to (his usual) normal.

One itty bitty problem with that one. Danny's pretty sure the tracker his parents made is honed in on his specific ecto signature, so the second he moves, they're on their way. Fenton Blasters loaded and at the ready. Also, the whole thing with his powers slowly stopping to work? Yeah, that as well.

Fun, so much fun. This was definitely how he wanted to spend his evening/night/early morning, when he should be catching up on his sleep debt. Sarcasm by the way, if it wasn't obvious enough.

The roar of an engine snaps Danny out of his swirling thoughts. The roar of a <em>very</em> familiar engine.

The GAV.

He's out of time.

Danny scrambles back up to his feet from where he was leaning against a dumpster. Yuck. The half-ghost shudders at the prospect of being found so soon after escaping within an inch of his not-life.

He pressed his back against the alley's wall, his core hammering away in his chest, and willed himself with everything he had to go intangible before it's too late. The all too familiar sensation crawls through his body, slower than usually, but he's phased through the wall just in time before the GAV screeches to a stop at the entrance to the alley.

Danny stays invisible and intangible, all the while his parents' feet landed on the pavement of the night streets. He listens with bated breath (he doesn't need to breathe) as Fenton Blasters are loaded, safety off, ready to shoot anything that moves. The Fentons slowly creep into the alley Danny had just been in. He can't see them, hidden in the wall as he is, but he can just about picture Mom making silent gestures to his Dad.

But of course, his Dad was never one to stay silent. "I can't wait to rip that ghost fiend apart molecule by molecule, Maddie!"

A soft sigh from his Mom, too close to the wall, too close too close. He's done for. They'll get him. "Honey, we have to run experiments on it before we do that."

"Oh, right." The sound of his Dad clearing his throat. "I can't wait to run experiments on the ghost fiend and rip it apart molecule by molecule once we're done, Maddie!" Then, more silently. "Was that better?"

His Mom chuckled warmly. "Yes, Jack." Too close too close too close

animaniacs first: i think it'll be a whiiile before we see another animaniacs reboot, even with the pace film/tv is pumping out remakes. for a hot minute i thought there were plans for another patb spinoff (which honestly i wouldve fucking loved). alas, we only really got those masterclass shorts. fun, but i was hoping it would be followed by more gay lab mice!!!

WB seems to fucking hate their own cartoons at the moment so i'm not really hopeful we'll get much more animaniacs any time soon 💀 not even spinoffs

as for disney... lately max goof/the goofy movies (especially the sequel) have been enjoying a huge fandom boom! 🥹 it makes me SO fucking happy seeing people draw max in droves again

apparently at least a couple of formal goof troop reboot pitches had been made in the past few years alone, from what i've gathered on social media! AFAIK none have been greenlit. maybe one day max will get his shot at the spotlight again. if that happens, i think we're gonna see a MUCH different incarnation of max.

he was originally a very stereotypical rambunctious 90s kid/edgy angsty teen (as edgy as disney toons ever got anyway). unless they set the reboot/remake in modern times, it might feel a bit dated and played out. i don't think the 90s nostalgia market is strong enough to convince disney to bring back max atp

tbh its lowkey funny. they always seems to forget/bury max outside of goof troop and SOME movies

its lame that bc outside of little cameos, sparse social media posts, occasional merch, and park appearances, max goof doesn't exist. he's goofy's fucking son, hello? one of the most popular toons to ever exist? POWERLINE has more merch than max at this point.

my own personal conspiracy theory was that the slight increase in attention to max on disney's part (that powerline boardgame, some merch, and the documentary on goofy movie that's supposedly coming out) is testing the waters for audience reception. if there's enough, maybe they'll finally consider it

until then i am doubtful we'll see goof troop rebooted or another film featuring max.

as for max/bradley, i honestly don't care about it too much. i wouldn't go so far as to say i hate the ship. it just doesn't interest me by default? popular fanon doesn't align well with my tastes. i like enemies/rivals to lovers, but i struggle with taking him seriously as a romantic counterpart in fic/fanart lol. the only versions of the ship i am drawn to are where bradley and max are at each others throats, or through the lens of comedy.

i suppose in meme terms i only like maxley if it's toxic yaoi lol

headcanon a (realistic): it takes a WHILE for him to adjust to hopes peak academy. like a LONG while lmfao. his old high school was far less prestigious, kinda just let him off with a slap on the wrist whenever he did anything wrong, and honestly he hardly showed up to class or had to put in any work to be considered the top dog there. but jesussss hopes peak is so different. he gets in so much shit those first few months for skipping or smoking on school grounds or throwing hands until eventually it kinda hits him that oh....... i really gotta shape up or im getting kicked out this place. reputation is definitely important to him as this scary biker gang leader so he was probably already getting a lot of slack from his biker friends about attending this uppity school which definitely didnt motivate him to do all that well, but eventually mondo was like. headcanon b (may not be realistic but it is hilarious): great bike mechanic but other than that not a technology guy. definitely a bit old fashioned when it comes to emails and text messages and all that. more often than not he'll make you send a message through his gang or make you find him in person if you have a gang-related request for him, so that way he can intimidate you more easily. send him a text message and the best you're gonna get from him is a "yeah sure". this also extends to if youre friends with him because he is definitely the kind of guy who just lets you walk into his house/dorm/room literally whenever and make yourself at home lmfaoooo. just let him know its you and walk straight in

headcanon c (heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends): its really easy to tell when he's angry but a little less easy to tell when he's sad because he kind of just shuts down on you. he's very traditional in the sense that he thinks any sort of sadness is a weakness so instead of conveying any sort of upset he goes very silent until he can eventually turn it into anger, which he considers a far more acceptable emotion to portray. for this reason he goes really really silent whenever he's racing, which is mistaken for total concentration rather than what it actually is

Tennis is back! The off-season is laughably short, but the Aussie swing is actually pretty exciting despite the fact that the game hasn’t been away that long. Maybe it’s just because its harder to travel in and out of Australia, but almost everyone is there and the tournaments are stacked.

Despite the fact that I don’t really care about the national team competition side of tennis, I sat out the Davis cup because I needed a break from the sport at the end of last season, i am digging the ATP Cup. I don’t really care to watch deciding doubles rubbers so I’m not really engaged in the outcomes of the ties, however, the way these events are structured so that the top ranked singles players on each team go up against each other right from day 1 makes it so there is always a match or teo each day that I am excited to watch. I caught a fun match where Fritz took out FAA on Day 2, looks like he might really build on his end of last season and break into the top 16 this year (I hope so because I much prefer him to Opelka). I then saw the last 2 sets of Humbert’s surprise win against Medvedev. A bit concerning that Medvedev seemed to physically run out of gas, but we know that Humbert is an exceptionally talented player. He really hurt Daniil with that backhand return and Medvedev made far too many errors down the stretch.

Day 3 had a fun one with Norrie and Zverev. Norrie played him tough and Zverev’s forehand wasn’t always great, especially when trying to handle Cam’s low, flat backhand. However Norrie’s forehand just isn’t enough of a weapon and Zverev was too effectively offensive. It really is the way his game has improved the most. He no longer justs sits back. He gets inside the court and attacks off both wings down the line.

I didn’t really watch Dan Evans beat Struff or more than a few gamesof Sinner beating the Aussie Purcell, but then I did catch a bit of de Minaur’s suprise win against Berretinni where he was super aggressive with his return position and really had control of points, making Mateo a defensive player and breaking him down. In the end, despite have the best players in either tie, Getmany and Italy both lost their doubles rubbers.

I also watched Casper Ruud go up against RBA in an excellent match where RBA played an enormously smart gameplan. He was able to keep Ruud from dictating with his forehand and was absolutely excellent in the crosscourt backhand rallies.

Poland crushed Georgia, a tie I ignored, but Greece and Argentina featured an intriguing Tsitsipas vs Shwartzmann matchup that Diego won. Tsitsipas looked unbothered by the elbow, but he was frequently frustrated by his inability to keep the ball from going long. There were flashes of his best. Powerfully dictating with the forehand, crushing down the line backhand winners, closing down the court agressively off the serve. But there was also some of the really concerning stuff that has caused him to be 16-11 in his last 27 matches. The slice backhand is cringeworthy. It bounces too high and drifts long too often. It’s a shot that he really needs but just doesn’t have. Similarly, the return position was an issue again. He actually stepped back at the enc of the 1st set, which he won to great effect, but then he abandoned this tactic. More concerning though were simply how the errors piled up and he just didn’t seem to have the patience to get through a stubborn and determined Diego. I don’t know what his deal is, but I wouldn’t bet on him having great success any tim soon, which, honestly, is really sad.

There’s also an absolutely loaded women’s tournament in Adelaide that’s going to be great fun this week. I watched a very tactically engaging battle between Rybakina and Storm Sanders where Storm used her excellent flat backhand to the tempermental Rybakina forehand and extremely aggressive return game to get Rybakina on the ropes only to have Rybakina regroup, find some consistency (and some 1st serves), and break Sanders down. It’s interesting how with tennis, like with a lot of sports, you can have the perfect gameplan, but then your execution can slip just a little, as it did with Storm when she began missing some of her aggressive returns, and the other player can get some confidence. Then, Sanders had no plan B and the perfect strategy wasn’t the right strategy any more. She probably should have backed up, found some consistency and sought to keep Rybakina out of a rhythm, but instead, her clinging to a gameplan that had been so successful played right into Rybakina’s hands. Knowing when and how to make those adjustments, being aware of momentum and knowing when the match has changed, that really means more than the best gameplan in the world and Sanders just didn’t have it.

Leylah Fernandez got a nice win against Alexandrova. She’s got a likely date against Swiatek. Kvitova got knocked out by an Aussie wildcard ranked outside of the too 200, not really sure how much she has left, despite the 2019 Aussie Open final feeling so recent. But right around the corner we have an excellent rematch of the Indian Wells final between Badosa and Azarenka and that is going to be sweet. This Adelaide tourny looks like it’s goinf to be sweet down the stretch, I just hope that we get good choices about which matches to feature from Tennis channel.

Sasikumar Mukund overcame an emotional rollercoaster to record a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Blaz Kavcic in the first round of the $162,000 Bengaluru Open ATP Tennis Challenger at the KSLTA Stadium on Monday.

Sasikumar struggled to keep his mind in check in the early stage of the match, and lost the first set in quick time. It looked like he was set to throw in the towel, until he began to relax and find his groove.

Feels like a gift

“Going into the match today, my head was all over the place. I was feeling disastrous. After losing the first set, I thought I would lose the match. I was getting ready to attend the press conference. Honestly speaking, I don’t deserve the win. This feels like a gift,” Sasikumar, the World No. 289, said.

“When you are playing at home, you get a huge high. And when the high wears off, you feel real low. The same thing happened in the Davis Cup last year too. The National anthem played and my adrenaline shot up. And then for the next three days, I couldn’t do anything,” the 23-year-old said.

He hopes to get his “head in the right place” to tackle the challenges ahead in the tournament.

Fellow Indian Saketh Myneni had an easier time, cruising past Russian Aslan Karatsev 6-3. 6-3. Myneni was happy with the result, as he is easing his way back from injury. Kyrgios tips De Minaur to give Nadal a scare

London: Nick Kyrgios fired a warning to Rafael Nadal after continuing to lead a strong Australian challenge at Wimbledon on Thursday.

The 23-year-old maverick kept himself under control during an impressive straight sets defeat of Dutchman Robin Haase and is a potential semi-final foe for Nadal.

But it is another young Australian, 19-year-old Alex De Minaur, who Kyrgios is predicting could cause Nadal problems.

De Minaur plays the Spaniard in the third round after beating Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert.

“It’s awesome. He’s going to be a guy that’s going to love playing on grass for his whole career,” Kyrgios told reporters.

“These type of balls, nightmare, so flat. He’s a great returner. I honestly think he can cause some damage the next round. I don’t think Rafa is going to be liking the ball that’s going to come at him constantly for three hours.

“It’s going to be a tough ask for him, but I think he could definitely cause a little bit of discomfort.” With 30-year-old Matthew Ebden also into the third round in the bottom half there is plenty for Australian fans to cheer, although the focus is very much on Kyrgios, who himself stunned Nadal at Wimbledon four years ago.

Kyrgios, seeded 15, arrived at Wimbledon in good form after strong runs on the grass in Stuttgart and at Queen’s Club.

And he followed a first-round win over Denis Istomin with another focused display to set up a clash with Japan’s Kei Nishikori who he is yet to beat and who he described as a ‘nightmare’ to play.

Kyrgios is one of the players being tipped as a potential champion here but said it was still too early to get excited about anyone else than the usual suspects.

“I don’t know if we can do much,” he said. “We can just take care of business every day until we meet them. Hopefully we can play our best tennis.”

Alexander Zverev avoided a shock exit as the world No. 3 battled back to beat American youngster Taylor Fritz 6-4, 5-7, 6-7, 6-1, 6-2 on Friday.

Zverev had just lost the third set when bad light forced play to be suspended late on Thursday evening.

But the 21-year-old German has plenty of practice at scrambling out of trouble after three times winning from two sets to one down at the recent French Open.

He staged another impressive escape act on Court One, winning the final two sets to move into the third round.

Zverev will face Latvian qualifier Ernests Gulbis for a place in the last 16.

After enjoying the best Grand Slam run of his career when he made the French Open quarter-finals last month, Zverev is hoping to reach the last eight at Wimbledon for the first time.

He was beaten in the fourth round last year.

Following early exits for Swiss 16th seed Borna Coric and Canadian world number 25 Denis Shapovalov, Zverev’s win was a boost for the group of young prodigies branded the sport’s ‘NextGen’ stars by the ATP.

South African eighth seed Kevin Anderson reached the last 16 with a straight-sets win over experienced German Philipp Kohlschreiber.

The way he played in his 6-3, 7-5, 7-5 victory suggested Anderson could go further than ever before at the All England Club.

Anderson, 32, pressured Kohlschreiber from the start and was gifted an early and decisive break as the German double-faulted and he netted a forehand in the second game.

The South African also broke at the start of the second set but Kohlschreiber hit back immediately.

Anderson bided his time and broke at 5-5 with a forehand winner and held for a two-set lead.

He got a huge slice of luck at 5-5 in the third set when his backhand return flopped off the net tape and over to earn him the break and he served out to love, clenching his first and roaring his delight as Kohlschreiber’s return flew long.

Anderson, the only African left in the singles draws, will face Frenchman Gael Monfils for a place in the last eight. Monfils American Sam Querrey 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

No the hating mainstream things to be “unique” is so eugh honestly like just because somethings mainstream doesn’t mean it’s basic…but exactly I’ve definitely lost the spark with jjk I think it just got too confusing? And I was losing the essence of the story and idk I know geges said before that that they’ve wanted to end jjk earlier but something about the editor saying no…? I feel like sometimes the lack of motivation kinda peeks through with how the story was done….which I get because writers block/art block and just burn out in general is so real I just wish circumstances were different lmao…

Also yeah the “jjk has the best female characters” ideation…hmm..it’s def better than the blatantly sexualized ones but at this point it kinda feels like a bare minimum/low standard thing that they ARENT sexualized like in most shounen content that makes people say this (i agree like wtf happened with yuki we barely saw her honestly?? Don’t get me started on tsumiki i was expecting them to take a route where maybe she’d actually wake up and play a more conscious role but what the hell was that)

NO LITERALLY im all for analysis and leaving some things open ended but idk in jjk it was just excessive that it turned into confusion like…the constant guessing and insane analysis that needed to be done to clarify things or try to parse things together is not my favorite…agreed that the story should not have to rely on deep level analysis to be understood!

THE ACCURACY IS INSANE the way I would have never known if you didn’t mention it (I don’t think I would’ve even noticed if I wrote it) the fact checking goes crazy LMAO but I love it honestly the research def gives the story more depth and feel to it rather than just a one shot/story that kinda just floats in the void of the universe or something…gives it ties to reality and an actual grounding in the world! It’s always Karasu….I think it’s partially also because some manga scenes of him are a little goofy because they give him that smile that almost cuts across his entire face to give him that kinda evil looking smirk….and the anime style kinda striking that awkward balance of maintaining those features but not putting enough detail to go full asshole def makes it a little goofy LOL (but in art they put more effort into like the S2 trailer/teaser visual he looks great with all the shading)

And LMAOO IKR!!! I always think back to that I’m like KURONA WAS 4??? Bro wasn’t even on the field in the u20 match so I was Lowk a bit shocked haha, iirc Kiyora was also 5?? Like the discrepancy makes me laugh ik people probably developed during the second selection but the drastic change always gets me

there’s def a lot of areas where there could be more lore (rika’s character page is so odd??) just because of how many characters there are i think!! but i do feel like the story is wrapping up so some things might just be left as questions. or not, who knows!!

yeah there’s def a cycle of like thing gets popular -> everyone loves it -> it becomes so over saturated that people start hating on it to be different -> it becomes overhated -> in a few years everyone realizes it wasn’t that bad. the biggest problem w the “hating as a trend” is that it takes away from legitimate criticisms of the work, as fans will lump it into general hating for no reason.

besides just analyses being so important for even basic comprehension of the plot, i’ve noticed a lot of the storyline is dependent on random interviews gege has done. like nobara’s death only being confirmed because of an interview years after it was written is RIDICULOUS to me (even though i already thought she was dead tbh but there was enough speculation in the fandom that it obviously wasn’t clear enough in-story). things like interviews and character pages should give you fun additional information that can help you expand on a character (oh rin likes horror games!! karasu is scared of the water!! etc etc) but it shouldn’t be the MAIN source of KEY info on a character. idk i think a lot of people love what jjk could be at this point and not necessarily what it is.

YESS i honestly was not super pleased by the female characters in jjk!! they are cool, and they COULD be well written, but they aren’t. i think in terms of its contemporaries, demon slayer does female characters better than jjk (again, not saying they’re perfect because they aren’t, but, say, shinobu is a stronger character to me than even maki).

jjk is a sunk cost fallacy for me HAHA i’ve been into it for over 2.5 years now so i have to see how it ends but i don’t really care atp what happens 😭 i’m like an unbiased outsider…idk it’s sad i wish i could’ve stayed invested but i only even know leaks are dropping because my social media blows up whenever they do.

OMG i also think rin is better looking than sae but i find sae easier to write for some reason?? idk why 😫 like sae is canonically only interested in soccer at least rin likes horror stuff but honestly between the two of them it feels easier to separate sae from soccer than rin?? if only marginally so hahaha. sae occasionally expresses regret at only knowing abt soccer so i feel like he’d be more willing to open himself to new experiences if sufficiently prodded whereas rin is SO invested in soccer (because soccer = his relationship w his brother) that he doesn’t even seem like he could have a proper friendship w someone let alone an actual relationship 😔

it really is always karasu…i do think manga can get away w exaggerating certain features (ex karasu’s smirk) that anime can’t so they have to figure out a way to balance it — maybe it’s the static nature of manga vs the motion of anime?? although karasu hasn’t been smirking much in pxg vs bm 😕 give my boy his swag otoya back!! HAHA but i also think he was such a background character in that one scene of season one that they just didn’t gaf abt him. he’s looked really good in all of the s2 promotional material so i have faith he will be done well!!

KURONA AND KIYORA MY RANDOM AHH KINGS 🙏🏻 they came outta nowhere but they’re slaying atm…ig the hundred goal thing only tested a very specific aspect of playing soccer?? like shooting without anyone on you which doesn’t really translate to an actual game 🤔 like in bllk vs u20 they needed defenders and midfielders who wouldn’t necessarily score but were integral to the game 👆🏻 plus they didn’t all go in at the same time so better players like tabieitaken and shidou were ranked lower than randoms like tokimitsu probably just because they entered later 🤷🏻‍♀️

it wasn’t that bad!! i just got like overwhelmingly sleepy because i haven’t taken any in forever so i just crashed instead of staying up longer like i usually so haha. but i’m hoping to get the one shot out soon!! it’s pretty dumb but more karasu content is more karasu content 🤩
