sometimes i miss writing for carmy/baker!reader (from my series “nothings gonna hurt you baby”), but one of the things that makes romance compelling is the ‘barrier’ that exists between the two romantic leads.

and like write whatever you want i know it’s valid to write fluff or pwp or whatever you fancy but like i feel most motivated to write when there’s TENSION !!

so it’s like as much as i miss them i’m like “you bitches got ur happily ever after already!”

2) friedrich (freddie) is an insane ivy league nepo baby who has been selling slivers of his soul to the devil in increments. his parents named him after nietzsche. he is very type-a about these deals and believes he will defeat the devil with the power of spreadsheets & cunt. he has ~70% of his soul left. he’s from acapulco, MX

they keep meeting by chance. they’re friends with benefits who ravage each others bodies in a manner that is genuinely psychologically concerning… whore4whore pairing. & sickeningly in love but that’s secret.

Sorry I forgot Hanneman suggested Byleth undress after they show up with a different hair color. And I miss Hanneman. And also while swapping between Houses and Hopes and seeing Hanneman pop up to help in a Hopes paralogue is just devastating since he doesn't ever actually join you at all and I am denied my old man rights.

Hello I come seeking Locked Tomb opinions.

I have tried and am currently failing to get momentum with Nona the Ninth. The Nona POV is a big barrier lol. I know for a fact I would love the Nona POV if the book were a rotating-POV story, and the Nona POVs were a periodic chance to view the world at large through very naive, innocent, childish eyes. To recontextualize dark happenings through a view too immature to see any bad. I do enjoy that part to an extent.

But the entire book being from this POV is...! A challenge, for me.

Does this change? Do you just kinda get used to it? I'm like 65 pages through, which I've been reading in tiny portions at a time without momentum.

It's been a minute since I posted any training videos but here's where we're at with steadiness training!

We're coming really close to meeting my goals for steadiness training! I'm now able to throw things while Rory stays in heel position without too much trouble. She's able to maintain this outdoors in most environments so I'm really really happy with where we're at!

I do a lot of practice heeling around distractions, but I just realized this was the first time I heeled towards the thing she wants and pulled a u-turn. As a result, she's a little slow on that turn and lacks the enthusiasm on the actual retrieve. Nbd, I'll practice it a little more with easier retrieves to build the enthusiasm in the next session.

I'm most proud of how she connected the cue "ready" with looking out towards the ite. (rather than looking up at me). I don't do directional casting (when you put your arm out to direct the dog) on simple retrieves so it's just the cue plus that little hand next to her head. It makes me happy every time she locks up in the correct direction and gets ready.

I'm also super happy with her understanding of the release! I can pet her or touch her and she won't break the stay until I release her with the "okay!" or "get it" cues. I don't think I pet her in this video but I've been practicing that too so I'm thrilled it's sticking!

It's hard to believe she's only a year old when we're doing training sessions like these! I'm so excited to see how she grows up, she's gonna be so cool 🥺💜
