I wrote something !

So, I noticed that there’s a lot (only) fem readers for the Hantengu clones, so I decided to write something as a trans!masc guy.

Sekido’s part turned out as a fucking fanfic at this point.

And I am sorry for the Karaku fans out there, your part is so short compared to Urogi and Sekido :,(

I swear I did my best-

•He thought you were a very pretty guy, that’s honestly it.

•He didn’t know if you would like him too, since in this society it has to be a man and a woman but he was so so happy when you accepted to go on a date with him.

•You didn’t talk much about when you were a child, or your family, and he always found it odd the way you would always try to deepen your voice, but he didn’t question it.

•It’s only when he went over to your house for the first time that he saw a picture, hidden away. It was a tiny little girl, she kinda looked like you.

•” I didn’t know you had a daughter..”

“I don’t have one.”

“A sister then ?”

•You looked so nervous, anxious, fidgeting with your hands..

•”That’s..Me, actually..”

•He was about to question you when you clapped your hand.

•”Welp ! I’m gonna make myself a snack, is there anything you want ?”

“I’m fine, thank you.”

•You were so glad that he dropped the subject, at least until you two were cuddling on your futon.

•”You look better now..”

•You tilted your head upward to look at him, confused.

•”You look happier now, you’re glowing.”

•He held you close.

•He wasn’t dumb, he pieced it together, and he felt so sorrowful that you had to go through not being comfortable with yourself for so long.

•If someone misgenders you he will gently correct them. He will not hesitate to murder if the person misgenders you on purpose. He won’t take too kindly disrespecting his boyfriend.

•You’re his amazing boyfriend and he’d rather walk into the sun than not telling you as such.

Urogi-

•When he caught a glimpse of you, he honestly didn’t know what you were…

•”Hey hey ! What are you ?”

•You were so confused at his question.

•”A human..?”

“Are you a boy or a girl ?”

“Boy.”

“Okay.”

•And that was pretty much it. No further question, you’re a boy and that’s it.

•But you were hiding something and he didn’t like it one bit, and he spent months trying to figure out what it was. It was a game for him.

•What did you swallow ? Why did you go see the doctor ? What do you mean you were born in the wrong time period ?

•He eventually found out when he opened the door to your room during one of his surprise visits while you were bandaging your chest.

•”Darling hi- What are you doing ?”

“Urogi ?!”

•To say you were panicked and mortified was an understatement. Your mouth felt dry as he sat besides you. You were terrified that now that he found out he wouldn’t treat you the same, would treat you like a girl, a person you were NOT.

•“Dear are you-“

“I’M A BOY !”

•You shouted panicked. He looked at you surprised while words were flowing through your mouth.

•”I’m a boy, I really am, I was just…Not born in the right body…” Was your simplistic answer. It was so much more complicated but in your state that’s all you managed to say.

•He put his head on the back of his talons while looking at you.

•”Are you happy ?”

•You were not expecting this question, and it apparently showed.

“Are you happier as a boy ?”

•You blinked, not knowing what to say. It was something much trickier than living as a boy or as a girl, but you did appreciate his effort.

•”I guess so ? I guess I’m happier now.”

•He smiled at you before pushing his entire body onto yours, nuzzling your collarbone.

•”That’s what counts the most. I’m happy as long as you are.”

•His wings were flapping happily while you hugged him back tightly, squealing in his hair with how happy you were.

•”But I thought you were hiding a partner from me.”

“Excuse me what ?”

•Urogi is an absolute menace when it comes to you. He will bring you himself to the doctor, if anyone misgenders you and you don’t have the guts to correct them, he will. Someone tries to harm you for who you are or disrespect you he is killing them but slowly. He’ll make them beg for forgiveness for hurting you.

•You are his precious darling and he wants you to be happy. If someone even tries to make you sad he is fighting.

•He became a bit protective of you.

Karaku-

•You’re hot and that first picked his interest, that’s it.

•He’s literally thirsting so hard over you, he doesn’t care, you’re such a hotty.

•How did he find out ? By thirsting over you-

•You were painting the table after it broke (and you repaired it of course-) since it sadly cracked.

•Some paint managed to get on your kimono after you were done, so you decided to take off your kimono and get yourself another one.

•Which is a this moment the pleasure demon walked in.

•”Hey babe.” You greeted him while making a ball out of your kimono.

•”Hey sweetheart.” He greeted back, looking at you near salivating.

•He noticed the scars, understood, and somehow that just made you hotter to him ? Help this man he’s so down bad for you.

•He made his way to you, circling his arms around you while kissing your neck.

•”You’re so fucking handsome babe..” He said lowly in your ear.

•He will get his hands dirty to keep you safe, but you do have a good passing so he doesn’t doubt that you’ll be fine.

•But just to be sure-

•No matter what he will treat you like royalty, like a deity, because yes he does, and you’re literally the prettiest most hottest person in existence to him and he loves you lots.

•He will blow people away for you, you just have to ask.

Sekido-

•He fell for you because he finds you sweet, and a few more reasons but especially because you’re sweet.

•You’re nice and you offer nice hugs (the rare times you do actually hug him.)

•He won’t complain but he often wondered why you cut contact with your parents. They must have done something really bad for you to actually leave them out of your life.

•But that means you’re all his so a win is a win.

•He found out when you two were going on a midnight walk, he even allowed you to hold his hand, it was a nice date.

•Suddenly you both heard a voice shriek from behind you.

•”(Deadname) ! Where have you been ?! How DARE you leave like that young lady !”

•You were terrified. How did you mother found you ? The date wasn’t even close to your hometown!

•Sekido took things in his own hands, very much annoyed that some bitch was ruining his date with his perfect boyfriend.

•”Listen here harlot, you’re obviously talking to a guy. You have dementia or something ? Go get checked and stop bothering us.”

•The crazy witch was still spouting nonsense at you. Why weren’t you responding ?

•”Mother listen-“

“THIS is the kind of man you’re with ?! What, did he knock you up ?! I wouldn’t be surprised you whore !”

“I love him-“

“And change these clothes, you’re a woman so dress like one !”

•Sekido was annoyed, electricity was coursing in his veins and around him.

•He did not want you to see him kill someone, especially your own blood (probably.) but he was very close to.

•”Mother I am a MAN-“

“No you’re not ! You’re just confused !”

“Mother-“

“Shut up you ungrateful brat of a daughter !”

•That’s enough.

•He grabbed her by the back and throw her hard against a tree, savoring the sound of some of her ribs cracking.

•He stabbed the trunk of the tree with his staff just above her head, a warning.

•”That’s enough you old hag. I am at my LIMIT. NOBODY treats my BOYFRIEND like this, I understand why he’d cut contact with such a disgusting freak like you.”

•He was furious. He wouldn’t kill her in front of you, he doesn’t want you to be afraid of him, but he would gladly shock her until she gets scars. Which is what he did.

•Her cries and screams of pain were delectable to his ears, until he felt you gently tug on his kimono, brave enough to risk being shocked and yelled at.

•”Sekido please stop, let’s just leave, I want to go..”

•He sighed as he stopped.

•You were close to crying, which would be annoying to him usually but right now he could forgive it.

•He grabbed your hand and started leaving with you, he still glared one last time at your birth giver.

•”If I ever see you again, I will not be so merciful. Be grateful to your son, bitch.”

•Needless to say the way back was silent. Until he spoke up.

•”Why did she call you her daughter and other things ?”

•You gulped.

•You were not ready for this conversation, terrified of his reactions. What if he sided with your mom if he knows the truth ?

•You took a deep breath to answer.

•”I was born as a girl, this is why. But I AM a man, I was just..Born in the wrong body.”

“Okay.”

•That was it ? That was his reaction ? ‘Okay’ ?

•”You…Really don’t mind ?”

•He tsked under his breath, looking just as angry as ever, but his words were gentle.

•”I meant what I said, you’re my boyfriend.”

•You smiled at him, so glad to be accepted. It lifted such a weight off your shoulder, it felt really nice.

•”Thank you..”

“(Deadname) is really fucking ugly by the way, I like your name much better. You know how to chose a nice name unlike your birth giver.”

•That made you crack up. You softly laughed at his remark.

•He was still reeling with rage, but first he has to make sure you’re okay.

So what rito customs is Link not aware of?

I think it'd be more of a body language/tonal thing for him. I've read many a good fic that has described slight body language shifts (turning oneself towards or away, tapping talons, ways of ruffling feathers) those kinds of things would be lost on him at first. I think as he started to know and study Revali he'd see it though.

There's a wonderful fic [You do not have to be good by Pemm on Ao3] that does such a good job about describing not only body language but the 'corded' language of the rito and how their hylian sounds awkward due to their beaks. I very much have hc a lot of that fic's description into my thoughts on the rito! {It's also got trans Link w/ religious trauma!}

Anyway, I think the subtleties of ritoan language and the types of vocalizations they use would be very lost on Link. I think over time he'd recognize some, but never fully grasp it the way he could with body language. In the same way, he understands how hair braiding is important to their culture but because each tribe is different and it's often personal he doesn't understand how grooming is important to Revali.

He also doesn't realize that Revali gets territorial over him because the way hylians scare off a potential romantic threat vs a rito is very different. Revali is surprisingly subtle to him (but literally nobody else whose ever lived near the rito). Having striking green eyes does come in handy sometimes

Sombra

💻Sombra's definitely her s/o biggest supporter

💻She's going to be with her through all the steps

💻She might be a little uninformed at the beginning but she quickly catches on. After all, she has the whole web at the tip of her fingers so she has many knowledge

💻She makes sure to listen to her s/o though, after all, nothing's more true than the experience of her loved one

💻If she needs any help to change legally her name, Sombra's here and in a snap of a finger, all the procedure is done

💻She is the best hacker in the world, after all, she ought to make the best use out of it, right?

💻If anyone deadnames her s/o, suddenly all their information is spread wide and far on the internet

💻Ooops, surely a mistake right? (It definitely isn't and Sombra will do it again if she has to)

Widowmaker

🕷Out of the three, Widowmaker is definitely the one having the hardest time to grasp around the concept of trans people and everything it involves

🕷As an assassin, she's asked to only remember the crucial details and to forget everything else

🕷She might have heard about it when she was still Amélie Lacroix, but now it's all forgotten

🕷That's why she makes a certain effort on her brain to remember everything her s/o tells her about the subject

🕷Of course, she's going to respect her new name and pronouns. She's a villain but not that kind of villain

🕷Just like any gals in Talon, if she hears someone deadname her s/o, that person's never gonna be heard of again

🕷Disappeared mysteriously, if someone asks her about it, she certainly never heard of them ever

🕷If her s/o needs any help in terms of clothing and/or makeup, she can give a few advices. Given, she might not know much but what she knows about is certainly on point

🕷She's certainly not the best if her s/o ever wants to have a shoulder to cry on or someone to comfort her

🕷She lost that ability many years ago but she's going to try. It might be through pats on the head when she notices her s/o in distress or a little word of encouragement

🕷"You're doing good ma chère," she'll say while passing next to her. It's almost taken away by the breeze because of how quiet she said it. S/o knows why, people are observing her and she cannot slip in front of them

🕷And maybe that's one way for s/o to know as well that Widowmaker cares, the fact that her lover would risk to be spoted by her superiors and yet still go out her way to reassure her s/o

Moira

🧪Moira is the definitely the most well versed in this domain out of the three

🧪If her s/o needs any help in more tangible matters, she's more happy to help

🧪Like any side effects of certain medications or what her s/o can expect if she wishes for a medical transition

"We need to make sure the process is safe and goes well, don't we darling?"

🧪Not sure if it's entirely for s/o she does it, maybe she sees it as another experience to test. S/o trusts her enough to let her help her through the entire process though

🧪Moira checks any medical treatment her s/o takes. If it's not deem safe enough or efficient, she's going to offer her another alternative or even make one of her one if she has enough time

🧪If her s/o seeks medically transition, she's going to recommend friends of hers that can help her with this step in her journey

🧪Unlike the two other Talon ladies, she doesn't have advice to give her s/o in terms of clothing or advice

"Wear what you wish and what you're comfortable in," is all she's going to say

Was going to wait to draw this lad but then I made a sketch for fun and had to draw it. Also looked into his appearances and Crowfrost is actually so interesting??? Def a new favorite

-He’s based off a piping crow! Also gave him three feathers for his kits. I never knew he was the parent of Juniperclaw, Sleekwhisker, and Strikestone but I love that a lot for him

-From what I gleaned from his wiki I see him as a very loving and caring father but anxious. He also does what’s right no matter who thinks it’s against the code. Very moral and wise, quite good with his words which is where he got his suffix from

-Hc him as a trans tom using he/him and unlabeled tho leaning towards mollies. Dawnpelt (his mate) is trans fem using she/they

-I think losing Juniperclaw and Sleekwhisker during the kin hurt him a lot and he grasped desperately onto his last kit, then Strikestone died in battle. While he is dead now I wished he could’ve lived longer and more focus was put on him. Him alive during the current arc would be so interesting bc of the political mess ASC is so far

(ID- Crowfrost is a rounder sleek but spiky furred cat. He’s sitting to the left with his head turned to the right and tail up. His paws are crossed and his round frosty blue eye looking towards the camera. He is a blue gray with a darker gray down his back, tail base, back paws, ears, and face in a diamond mask. Three crow feathers are on his shorter tail for his kits. Consider: Turtle is a trans woman

Listen ok not to get too attached to this idea but like. A lot of Turtle’s arc is about self loathing, escapism, and family expectations and I think Turtle being a transwoman and/or transfem compliments Turtle’s character arc.

(just a note: I switch around pronouns from he/him to she/her in this post, partially because I wrote this in segments and partially to reflect my analysis of Turtle (who uses she/her) vs what the books tell us more explicitly about Turtle (he/him). hope that helps!)

First off: it makes sense with how Turtle percieves herself

Turtle’s book is at its core about trauma, neglect, and anxiety/self loathing. And I don’t necessarily want to take away from that but I also feel like her being trans could be hella interesting with that taken into consideration.

So, Turtle thinks of herself through the lens of a book character. This is consistent throughout the book- first as a dragonet as the hero of her story, then later as essentially worse than a side character, completely insignificant or actively detrimental to the “real heroes”; throughout the book, she tries to figure out how other dragons percieve her, what role she fulfills for them, like the sidekick of a detective, or the messenger, or the spy. She doesn’t view herself as a real person, but more as a trope or a tool. This seems like it could be gender dysphoria to me. It’s the fact she’s always disconnected from who she is, she’s always someone else other than herself. Qibli is similar, but Qibli is more specifically trying to make himself useful and someone worth space, Turtle just wants to be someone at all.

If Turtle takes herself seriously, if she considers herself a real, tangible, important dragon who’s not just a role in a story, that means she has to have a real identity, one that isn’t just whatever other people have decided she is. And when you don’t want to admit something about yourself, it’s a lot easier to just pretend you don’t have an identity than that you have one that scares you. And I feel like a lot of her talking down to herself as being insignifigant and not interesting, while fed by trauma, also speaks a lot of repressing herself- She continually shoots herself down whenever she tries to establish herself as a person.

Plus the whole idea of being a hero is undeniably intertwined with masculinity. You can so easily read “being a hero” as being a stand-in for “being a man”. (which is also why transmasc Turtle rocks as a hc considering he creates his own definition of hero, but I digress). And I think the way Turtle tries to shove himself into the box of heroism really speaks to me as a trans person trying to force myself into gender roles.

With that said though, my main point is: it makes the story more interesting imo.

I really like the ending of Talons of Power already tbh, that scene with him, Coral, and Auklet is heartwarming and lovely. But I also think Turtle being trans, and realizing she’s trans, really makes it a really powerful story. As Turtle’s whole perception of himself is falling apart with what Queen Coral’s told him, I think it’s interesting if you have Turtle consider “what else have I been thinking about myself that’s wrong,” and having her put together the pieces she’s been trying super hard to bury the entire book.

The books, to their credit, don’t end with the conclusion of “Turtle was the hero after all actually!”, but I want to take the ending where Turtle realizes he never had to be anyone other than himself even further. I like the idea of Turtle just going “this version of me I’ve created isn’t true and hasn’t ever been true. I’m not any of these things. I’m not useless, or a side character, maybe I’m not even the hero at all.” and then “But I am still me, and that’s good enough. It’s always been good enough.”

Turtle is essentially stripped bare even further than in canon, and that means it hits so much more when she then puts herself back together, especially then to go confront Anemone (who’s less so in the same boat, but the same pond). It’s a cool end of a character arc is all I’m saying (and a great segueway into a new one, she doesn’t even need to realize immediately who she is, just that she isn’t who she was before, and it still really hits).

Speaking of which: it adds another layer to the complicated cake of Anemone/Turtle’s relationship.

in the book, Anemone and Turtle are already foils: Anemone believes she’s the protagonist of the world. She has been, for most of her life, the sole recipient of Queen Coral’s undivided attention/affection- she’s the animus princess who will save her tribe. and Turtle is the exact opposite: another faceless prince in the crowd, untalented, unrecognized, and basically nonexistent to his mother. Turtle both wants to be Anemone and is terrified of being Anemone and I feel like if you throw Turtle being trans onto that it gets even more intense. Anemone is now even closer to Turtle, and I genuinely feel like that would upset Turtle even more; especially with the weight that being a princess in Wings of Fire carries. It’s also even more fuel for Turtle’s self-loathing and repression (how could she ever be a princess, after she’s failed already she could never serve her people like Anemone does, it’s better that she’s a boring prince with no responsibilities, that way she can never fail). But she still feels like she sacrificed Anemone to Coral instead of her, and now with the added feeling of it being more personal considering Turtle could’ve been The Animus Princess(tm).

They both crave approval and recognition: Anemone feels babied, while Turtle feels ignored. They both feel like their life has been laid out for them: Turtle as a useless side character, Anemone as an evil animus (tbh Anemone’s story is really interesting and worthy of its own post, but I digress). It gives Turtle’s speech to Anemone about how she doesn’t have to be evil more weight again: Turtle is essentially living proof that their destinies aren’t set in stone and that people can be more than their past. It’s a tidier ending.

Other relevant things from the text:

-A lot of Turtle’s notable relationships in the books are with other women (Peril, Kinkajou, Moonwatcher, Anemone).

-And the inverse is also true with like. Turtle feeling different from his brothers + feeling rather disconnected from Qibli and Winter.

-It’s also notable a lot of those girls are also dragons who are very sort of. loud and expressive, in the line of Kinkajou, Anemone, and Peril. They know who they are and what they want, and that’s especially something Turtle admires about Peril in particular, as well as Kinkajou.

-Speaking of which you really could argue Turtle’s crush on Kinkajou being wanting to be her as much as it is wanting to be with her.

-No seriously he wakes her up because she’s much more suited to heroism than him, he loves her specifically because she’s “not like him”, like I def think that’s romantic feelings and self-hate mixed in but also. bro. When I get crushes on people my first instinct isn’t “I wish I was more like them, that would be so much better than being me, they could be me so much better than I could be me.”

-This bears a lot less weight since it’s a hc but Turtle does find a lot of escapism in Queen Coral’s books: there’s no textual evidence for Queen Coral favoring female protagonists but it is a fun headcanon to tack onto this existing headcanon.

Final thoughts:

Most of this is pure speculation and me wanting to put my own take on the story: Turtle is definitely not trans in canon (as much as he should be, seriously even without this long post so many hcs him as some flavor of trans) But I think it helps give even more room for Turtle to grow and opens up exciting new possibilities

I just also think if Peril is also trans it just becomes really sweet, like imagine: Turtle comes to Peril with her head in a whirl, all anxious and unsure of herself unsure if she’s really a girl or what this means for her place in the royal family and what if she’s wrong or stupid or she’s gonna fail somehow, and Peril’s like “well who cares, you can always just BE a girl if you want to be. That’s what I did anyway and it turned out pretty great for me.” and Turtle’s anxiety just crashes to a halt because, yeah, I guess it doesn’t actually change much does it, and Peril seems to be doing great, so if it worked out for her I should be fine too.

Just also the sweetness of her being validated in that other dragons like her for her, and not for some character archetype she fulfills, her friends don’t have any reason to accept her but of course they do, because they’re her friends and they love her.

I think there’s a lot of ways to incorporate this headcanon, especially since I think everything I’ve said still applies as being an interesting character arc for Turtle even if you give it to her as a continuation of canon rather than a rewrite. This is one version, but Turtle’s a dynamic character, and I can see a lot of different storytelling possibilities with this.

Tl;dr: Turtle’s story gets really interesting if you read her as as a transwoman

Character ask game, sweet pea!

Sorry this took me so long I got emotionally wiped out from the one I did for Bobby and the reactions I got from it and was hesitant to do more. I had to for my main baby though so here is this, based off of this post

1. Favorite thing about them

Okay I have to say, his willingness to get fucking GOING is my single most favorite thing about this boy. Like Jughead may be able to stop him, but that's only because he lowkey is in love with Jughead. You can't convince me otherwise. This boy will bulldoze anyone else, and even goes toe to toe with Archie without hesitation. The best part is: he's so ready to fight not because he's proud or arrogant or any of those usual "hot headed teenage boy" traits but because he's protective of his friends and family. His people. Because he refuses to be walked on anymore, or let anyone he cares about be walked on. He makes me feel so safe ugh.

2. Least favorite thing about them

How stubborn he is. I will never say he's a proud person, but he does have a pride streak and I think it really hurts him when he needs to admit he's wrong. He's just very slow to change his mind once he makes up his mind, and while it's probably a defensive thing when it comes to Northsiders and one that has been proven to be necessary several times, it always breaks my heart when he makes fun of Betty or talks about flaying Archie or smirks as Jughead squirms or Veronica blows a gasket. Sometimes it's kind of funny but most of the time I wish he could just get along with people and make friends lmao

3. Favorite line

“You think you can come to my house, stick a gun in my face, in front of my boys, and there wouldn’t be any payback?” This line is everything actually and it is NOT talked about enough oh my god fuuuuuuck season 2 canon Archie. Smh. I felt this on such a deep level

4. BroTP

I know everyone ships Swangs and I love it too, but I honestly much prefer them as a brother dynamic. I'm a sucker for childhood friends to lovers and ship Sweetpea with happiness as much as the next person but I just really love these two as a sibling dyanmic duo. I have an oc named Talon who's Fangs' older brother and I have a LOT of hc's about how Talon has just. Adopted Sweetpea and how they talk about everything... god yeah I love them.

5. NoTP

Toni and Sweetpea. I don't know if this is one of those popular rarepairs or not but Toni needs herself a girlfriend. Like yes she's bi but also Sweetpea with a boyfriend makes my heart swell and Toni's stated she prefers girls, so I just prefer ships that include mlm rep for Sweets and Toni with a gf. I don't hate the ship it's just not my cup of tea

6. OTP

Okay at this point I think it's pretty clear that I'm a multishipper because I just want my kiddos to be happy lmao but here goes. When it comes to ULTIMATE loves, Jugpea hands down. I am also a mess for Reggie/Jughead/Sweetpea. Oh my god I am obsessed with them. I ship Sweetpea with just about anyone as long as it's done correctly (catch me reading Swarchie and Swosie despite hating those ships a month ago lmao) but these are my main and the ones I obsess over while watching the show.

7. Unpopular opinion

Huh I don't know. I guess I think that Archie is more scary and unhinged than Sweetpea is which I think might not be a popular take. I feel like any other hc I have most Sweetpea fans would agree with so I'll just leave that there.

8. Random headcanon

Sweetpea gives me middle child energy no I cannot explain this it will take two million years to get through all of it I will say I think he has two older sisters and also a younger one. Yes they're all girls, yes one is trans, yes I have names and hc's for all of them and they're all oc's because I am obsessed with the Serpents' families. Sweetpea's older sisters are about a year or two of a gap, but his youngest sister is like five when he's sixteen and you can't convince me otherwise. He babysits her constantly and they are best friends. He will literally ask to babysit her and send his mom to go have a day off from responsibilities. She literally just gets Pop and reads in a booth because there is nothing she wants to do badly enough to keep herself busy every time he wants to babysit his little girl lmao. He is a MUSHBALL with her and anyone who watches them interact is in actual tears. She steals his phone constantly and takes pictures and videos on it and sends them to Toni and Fangs who are in tears over how adorable is. Jughead hangs out once when Sweets is babysitting and never looks at Sweetpea the same after. This man is a PUDDLE for this little girl that is all.

I like to draw him with curly hair sometimes and i hc his eyes are green! I'd also hc he has like pale eyelashes but i never draw them :( fry is touch starved (god same). hes always bouncing his leg. always gotta have some kind of distraction. I also like to draw him with ear piercings

ahh i love her so much!! leela is bi with a preference for guys. looks really good in a suit. she is BUFF YOU COWARDS!!! she canonically used to play drums which I think is super cool! maybe she plays them every once in a while nowadays, and fry likes to sit and listen. also I think the fact that she grows elbow talons is really cool? idk I know that's not a hc that's just a note lol. also she has a few ear piercings which I draw her with! she looks badass with them. Horrors au - Horrors appearance headcanons

Jeff:

Same general coloration as expected - black hair, pale skin, etc. He was born with brown hair and dark blue eyes, but when he was born as a Horror, his body transformed. It had nothing to do with bleach, fire, or bullies.

He did give himself a 'smile' when he was born as a Horror, however it got horribly infected, and was eventually sewn up once he was picked up off the streets. There are scars where the cuts once were, along with one at the deepest part of the infection site.

Can't grow a beard, rip

Actually, he's completely hairless other than his head.

6'2 feet tall

Eyes look either gray or pale blue depending on the light

Clothing wise, the white bloody hoodie is how he's mostly pictured in the media. And he does wear white sweatshirts or hoodies when he wants to make an impact.

Around the others, though? Soft pajama bottoms in solid, dark colors, thin t shirts or sleeveless shirts, no shoes, even in the depths of the Forest. Will wear a dark hooded overcoat over his clothes in the rain.

Eyeless Jack:

Gray skin

Small, pointed ears

Traditional empty sockets full of black ooze. Despite the lack of eyes, he can see in his own way.

Brown hair, and lots of it. His hair grows very fast and thick. He doesn't bother to cut his hair until it's at his waist but does shave. He has semi permanent stubble on his face.

6'4

His mask is blue, of course, and stained from his mask. There's a faded smile painted over the mouth, just a thin, happy line, and a jagged cut on one eye hole where Briar attacked him during his first meeting.

He has wings. Draconic in style, they seem to shrink and grow as needed. They are the same color as his skin, with a blue tinted membrane and black stud like bumps on the top ridge and back.

His fingers and toes turn into claws at his command, turning black and sharp. Otherwise they are human like, with normal, blunt nails. His feet can transform into talons, five claws in front and one in back.

He doesn't have many different types of clothes. His black pants, dark shirt and hoodie are something of a uniform to him. He has multiple copies of each item.

No shoes. They get in the way and can be painful to try and transform his feet through.

Ben:

Blonde, fair skinned, freckles. Eyes are there but entirely black with a red pupil that grows and shrinks with his emotions.

Being a digital being, however, he can and does change his appearance with ease, and completely without warning.

One day, blonde hair just touching his next. The next, long blonde hair streaked red and in a spiked, sky high ponytail. The next, he's covered with tattoos, and his hair is a mohawk the color of the trans flag. The only thing that he doesn't change while being himself is his eyes.

Can be any height. Today he's 5'3. Tomorrow, 6'9. Doesn't like being too tall, he has trouble holding his form together.

He can transform himself into any person he has personally interacted with, or has a good amount of footage/photos of. When disguising himself, he does change the look of his eyes, but he dislikes it.

Yes he is trans, more info on that when his hc post comes out. He passes completely as male, looking next to nothing like he did while alive. He can transform into a woman if needed but he hates doing it as it gives him bad dysphoria and he'll need to abandon having a form at all to recover for a while.

Clothing is whatever the fuck he wants, it's all digital just like him. Catch him walking around in a crop top and a floor long neon green fur coat, or a graphic tee with two middle fingers over the boob area, or black pleather tights and a red sleeveless turtleneck. Whatever it is, it's probably not subtle.

He sometimes goes around naked to try and embarrass Briar. It almost always works.

Laughing Jack:

Doesn't look much different from how he's normally viewed. Tall monochrome clown man with ragged black hair, a pointy striped nose, and sharp teeth. His fingers are similar to Eyeless Jack's in that he can turn them into claws, only his claws are much bigger, and even when normal, the ends of his fingers are pointed, with sharp nails.

Is a living doll, whether that's obvious on the surface or not, so when you hug him he is soft and warm and a bit fuzzy under his clothes. Considering he's the cruelest of all the Horrors, it's very... weird.

His nose looks deadly sharp but in reality, when you press against it, it crinkles like foil, springing back into shape as if nothing happened when released. Press it in all the way and you will hear a honk. But don't. He hates that.

Anything he puts on magically becomes black and white, and regains its color when he takes it off. Similarly, anything he puts on magically becomes his size, which is good because this mofo is 7'3.

You will only see one color on this guy, and that's red - blood from his victims, or red from blushing. The guy doesn't have blood so there's no reason for him to blush but he does and it's probably better not to think about it too hard. (There's no reason for him to be able to eat either. Don't think on that either.)

Being a toy, he doesn't sweat. Blood tends to fade away off his body naturally. He hates water but will tolerate showers so long as he's not alone.

He likes patterns, textures, and anything fitting his antique/clown aesthetic. He will sometimes wear skirts and dresses for no reason other than he wants to. But all the patterns have to clash and everything must be extra as hell.

Briar:

Long black hair, down to her shoulder blades, gray eyes, fair skin with freckles on her cheeks, running down her neck to the rest of her body.

She keeps her hair in a ponytail most days, preferring a high placement, but if she just doesn't care she'll put it near her neck.

While she bears a passing resemblance to Jeff coloration wise I swear to God that's not intentional, I promise they're not related.

Fit. Despite loving her sweets, she eats as healthily as she can and goes on morning and evening runs, along with a quick body weight workout before work every day.

Her ears are pierced, though she never wears anything more remarkable than colored studs. Sometimes she'll wear silver roses.

Stretch marks. She was overweight as a child and teen and while the weight is gone, the stretch marks are still there. They're mostly on her sides, thighs and back. She's very sensitive about them due to years of bullying and comments from family members but tries not to let on about that.

Has many scars from early encounters with the early Horrors. While they are almost unnoticeable among humans, the intentionally caused scars, like the one on her shoulder where Eyeless bit her, become darker in their presence.

Sometimes paints her nails but prefers to not spend the effort unless something important is coming up.

She hated shaving her legs and never did it unless she had to. But like with Jeff, her body hair is falling out and not growing back in. Briar wears pants or leggings while out in public, just in case people catch on.

Her clothing preferences are casual but feminine. Mostly pants, short sleeved or three-quarter sleeved shirts. Mostly they're for warm weather as she lives and works in coastal South Carolina, but she's building up a collection of warmer jackets for the Forest, which is very, very different than the beach life her human coworkers love.

She loves roses and vine designs but in subtle amounts, she's not a fan of big patterns. Likes purples and blues and yellows with black and white. And lace, again in small amounts. But really she wears whatever she thinks is pretty.

Has army boots where she laced them up with lacy fabric trimmings from a work friend's sewing project. She never wears them anywhere because she'd hate to see them ruined.

Her work scrubs are either covered with cats, plants, or just solid colors. She thinks wearing cats on clothing can be tacky if it's too cartoony but she's working at a vet office, she may as well wear the colors proudly.

Secretly she thinks you're never fully dressed unless you've got some cat hair on you. She hasn't owned a cat since moving to South Carolina after college.

I have s e v e r a l cute hcs if you want to hear them! touch starved hanzo, (trans mccree HMM SOUNDS FAMILIAR) ohh what else lemme think.. Normally I hc mccree and hanzo are both switches given they are competitive in their own rights, whether it be missions or love but top hanzo is 100% as well. Overwatch is 99.9% lgbtq then there's tobjorn and even then torb is pan..hc that there is a happy ending where Overwatch helps and works with talon to take down a bigger threat like Vishkar (next ask)

Lykoi Scourge has my heart in a clawed grip I cannot express how much I love them as a lykoi cat. Heavily based this design off my Dark Mirror/Brothers by Blood au so he mirrors Ravenflight a lot.

-They are a lot darker, more black covering its pelt making its white markings even brighter. The parts where their skin shows are effected by its patterning as well

-more collars cuz he deserves the bling. Also tried to make its tail look like a scorpion tail, or bird talon. While the left side of Raven’s face is covered the right of his is

-Kept their iconic white paw and made it mirror Raven’s. The right side of their face is also white opposing Raven’s. I liked how the white looked on their back paws and tail so gave it more markings

-Hc wise Scourge is trans non-binary using they/it/he and is aroace. All these are on their collars bc I can’t help myself.

-I’m taking the stance of red wine collared Scourge it’s how I always saw him and what I did for them. Kept all the teeth even tho I’m not a huge fan of it. Various scars all across its pelt, the eye one from Tigerclaw and the rest from various street fights. The one on its belly is from the previous leader of the Blood Band as a mirror of how he killed Tigerstar, though Scourge still defeated the past leader

(ID- Scourge is standing to the left with their front looking forward, their stare expressionless. Their front right leg is off to the right and it’s right one to the right, tail curling over his back to resemble a scorpion stinger or talon. It is a black cat with blue tinted fur and white markings. A darker blue black goes down their back, on their hair fluff, mullet, tail, back legs, and ears. White is on the right side of his face, tail tip, middle of their face, right front leg, and the bottom of his back paws. It is a looking cat so their chest, belly, paws, and face are hairless. Scars are across his eye, nose, lip, and belly. A large dog collar is on its neck, a wine red color with a gold band in the middle and six teeth in it, the left ones darker and the other ones lighter. Two collars are on his tail, the bottom one is of the asexual colors with three light fangs showing and the one above is of the aromantic colors with two light teeth. The collar on his left leg is of the non-binary flag with two dark teeth, the collar on its right leg of the trans colors with three light teeth. On its front paws are teeth to sharpen his claws, the left ones dark. It’s ears are round and tall, torn on both sides. The faint signature “Nightly Ruse” is on his flank. End ID)
