Beyond Boundaries - Oscar Piastri (PART TEN)
Masterlist
IM SO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT. My health has just been crap, had two hospitalizations for my chronic illness that got a flare up, but I'm back to writing now, with a long chapter!
↳pairing: oscar piastri x female!norris!reader ↳word count: 6K ↳chapters: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten ↳chapter warnings: friends to lovers, brothers teammate trope, angst, bestfriend!reader, fluff, tortuously slow smut scene, seduction, smut, 18+ (MDNI!), handjob (m!&f! receiving), oral (f!receiving), making out, dirty talk, sub!oscar, dom!oscar, switch!oscar
↳series summary: Since Oscar joined McLaren as your brother’s teammate, you two have quickly become best friends. Recently promoted to be Oscar’s physiotherapist, you both relish the opportunity to spend more time together. However, as the new role brings you closer, you both realize you might be feeling more a little more for each other than just friendship
Oscar and Lando walked into Zak's office, the atmosphere immediately feeling thick with an unspoken tension. Zak stood by the window, looking out over the track before turning to face them with a serious expression.
"Take a seat, both of you," Zak said, his tone firm but not unkind. Oscar could feel his stomach twist with apprehension, Lando beside him shuffling awkwardly in his chair. Zak took a deep breath, folding his arms. "Alright, boys, let's cut straight to the chase. Oscar," he began, locking eyes with the young driver, "you need to watch out for your image. I understand things happen—you're young, life's fast, and sometimes emotions get the best of you. But kissing someone in public that you're not publicly dating, especially when that someone is a co-worker... it's not a smart move."
Oscar opened his mouth to speak, but Zak held up a hand to stop him. "The media's already catching on. Whispers are starting to circulate, and we need to get ahead of this before it turns into a full-blown story." Zak walked around to the front of his desk, leaning against it. "That's why we've discussed the subject within the team and have a proposition for you" he started, taking a breath "The idea is to put you in a publicity stunt—a fake relationship with a girl. Someone from outside the company, someone who can help steer the narrative away from... well, from the internal complications."
Oscar blinked, feeling a mix of surprise and disbelief. "A fake relationship?" he repeated, his voice almost a whisper. Zak nodded. "It's the best way to simmer down the talk. Give the media something else to focus on. You don't have to like it, Oscar, but it's probably what's best for now. We can't afford any distractions right now." Oscar nodded gently to his words, before Zak spoke up again "Or is there anything that we should maybe know about? Something more to the whole ordeal?"
The young Australian swallowed audibly, getting a little nervous "N-No, it's fine"
Lando noticed that Oscar didn't know what to say, visibly uncomfortable about it "He already got the lecture from Sophie" he said, taking a deep breath "I'm pretty sure he's aware that it was a very stupid mistake" Zak wordlessly agreed with Lando, so he continued on without more lecturing words. He looked at Oscar "So, what do you say?"
Lando shifted in his seat "Before he answers that, uh, why am I here, exactly?" he asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.
Zak turned to him, a slight smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Ah, well. We kinda had a similar proposition for you as well. If you'd both agree, we would set yours up in about 2 weeks after Oscar's" Lando's eyes widened. "What? Why?" Zak chuckled softly. "Come on, Lando. You haven't exactly been subtle with your... escapades with Daniel." Zak's tone was light, but his expression remained serious. "You've been trying to be, but it's starting to look pretty obvious." Lando flushed, glancing sideways at Oscar, who raised an eyebrow, slightly amused. "I'm not against it," Zak continued, "Not at all. But you need to think about what you're doing. If the media catches wind of it... if anything goes wrong... it'll bite you in the ass, hard." Lando sighed, running a hand through his hair. "So, you want me to fake-date someone too, just to throw them off?" Zak nodded. "Exactly. We need to control the narrative before the narrative controls us." Oscar exchanged a glance with Lando, both of them feeling the weight of Zak's words settle on their shoulders. "Understood," Oscar finally said, his voice steady. "I'll do it if it's necessary." Lando hesitated for a moment, then nodded as well. "Yeah... me too. Whatever it takes." Zak smiled, clapping his hands together. "Good. Glad we're all on the same page. Now, let's get to work."
"So, any details on how we're supposed to do this then? Like, for how long? And what do you expect from us regarding those girls?"
Zak looked at the two boys "Well, at least a month, I guess. I think that'll do to simmer down the suspicions "We'll find a girl for you that looks a little like Y/n, just so people think that the girl in the press picture was that girl"
Oscar nodded, shifting awkwardly in his seat, not really knowing how to act about this.
"From there we want to start with her joining you in the paddock during a race. Maybe hold her hand, give her a kiss, pretending to be subtle, while you actually just want the cameras to catch on to it" Zak explained, leaning back in his chair "Just do couple-like stuff with her. Share a picture of you both on social media, or don't. That's up to you. After a month, you can just give a short explanation on your social media about how you were dating, but mutually decided to break up and are better off as friends"
Lando shook his head "Do you have any idea how complicated this sounds?" he explained "I'm a formula 1 driver, not an actor. How do you expect me to fake being in love with someone?"
Zak sighed "I understand, Lando. You both don't have to do this if you really don't want to, but we all think it might be the best way to fight off the suspicions, in both of your cases"
Oscar shifted his eyes from his lap back to the man in front of him "So you even want us to kiss the girls in question?" he asked
"I'm not forcing you into anything, but I think we both know that the media will have a hard time believing that you're dating someone if you refuse to kiss them"
Later that day
Oscar was sprawled out belly down on his bed in his hotel room, replaying the conversation in his head over and over again. Lando was lying on the couch opposite Oscar’s bed, his eyes staring blankly at the ceiling.
“Fucking hell, mate,” Oscar muffled into his pillow, his voice heavy with frustration. “How am I even supposed to tell her this?”
Lando chuckled lightly, trying to lighten the mood. “I guess using words would work,” he sassed, earning a glare from the Australian driver.
Oscar rolled his eyes before grabbing the nearest pillow and launching it across the room. Lando puffed out an exaggerated “Ooff,” then tossed the pillow back. “Hey! I was just trying to diffuse the tension.”
Sitting up against the headboard, Oscar sighed deeply. “I know, but I honestly don’t know how to break it to her.” His voice softened as he admitted, “I know it’s weird talking about this since she’s your sister and all, but I honestly don’t want to hurt her.”
Lando offered a sympathetic smile, sensing the weight behind Oscar’s words. “It’s okay, I’m fine with talking about it. I know you mean well,” Lando reassured him.
Oscar’s shoulders slumped as he pulled his knees toward his chest. “It’s just… I felt like things were finally going in the right direction. And now this shit happens. You know how much that sucks? I thought I finally had a chance to win over the girl of my dreams.” His voice trembled slightly, the frustration clear in his tone. “And now I have to pretend I’m in love with some random girl and kiss her in public… with her right there.”
Lando noticed the glint of emotion in Oscar’s eyes, his usually calm and collected friend on the verge of tears. “I honestly don’t know what to say. It just sucks so much,” Lando admitted, sounding defeated himself. “Maybe you can just tell Zak you don’t want to do it if it makes you feel this bad.”
“I’m not doing this for me,” Oscar mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper. “I’m doing this for her. I don’t want her career to be ruined because of me.”
Lando sat up, his tone more serious now. “It’s not your fault, Osc. It takes two to tango.”
Tears started to fall down Oscar’s cheeks as he shook his head. “It is my fault. I should’ve suppressed my feelings. I shouldn’t have bothered her with them. She’s my best friend, your sister, and my damn trainer.”
“Look, Osc,” Lando said gently, "Osc, your her best friend as well, you're her client, you're her brothers teammate. She’s just as responsible as you are. It’s not all on you.”
Oscar’s voice cracked. “I just don’t want people to think less of her. I don’t want the press to call her a gold digger or say she’s using me. If fake dating some random model stops all this crap, I’ll do it.” He rambled on, not realizing how much he was pouring out his heart. “You know, if the drama would be just about me, the decision would be easy. I wouldn’t even consider the PR stunt, I couldn’t care less about my career when it cones to her. Hell, I’d even quit racing for her. She's all I think about. When I close my eyes, all I see is her. Lando, I am so in love with her it hurts”
Lando’s eyes widened, the weight of Oscar’s confession hitting him hard. After a brief pause, he spoke softly. “Mate, you’re not going to lose her over this. I know she’s not going to think less of you or let this ruin things between you. I mean, it’s obvious you care about her so much, and even if you’re not officially dating… it’s there. Anyone can see that. You should go for it.”
Oscar shook his head, his expression filled with uncertainty. “But I don’t want to risk her losing her job because of this.”
Lando leaned forward, his tone thoughtful. “But what if people don’t react the way we think? What if… instead of weird reactions, people actually love seeing you two together? A lot of drivers get shipped with each other, and the media loves my sister. Why wouldn’t they love you two together? Maybe we’re afraid of reactions that won’t even be there.”
Oscar hesitated, his brow furrowing. “But… we’re not even dating, Lando. I don’t even know what we are. We don’t have a label or anything. It’s all so uncertain.”
Lando grinned slightly. “Mate, the only reason you two aren’t official is because of your jobs and what other people might think. But even a blind person could see how in love you both are. You’re holding back for the wrong reasons. Don’t let that stop you.”
Oscar looked down, his emotions swirling inside him. “I just… I don’t want to make things worse for her.”
“Talk to her,” Lando urged. “She’ll understand. She’s smart, and she knows this whole fake relationship is just business. Nothing between you and that random girl means anything. It’ll be over before you know it.”
Oscar remained quiet for a moment, processing everything. “I’ll talk to her,” he muttered, his voice wavering with uncertainty.
“And don’t give up on her,” Lando added with a soft smile. “You care about her more than anyone else. My sister deserves someone who loves her as much as you do, and I know you’ll treat her well. Don’t let this fake PR crap get in the way of your own happiness.”
Oscar nodded, still uncertain but feeling the weight of Lando’s words sink in.
“If you need me to talk to her too, I will,” Lando offered. “A brother-sister chat might help clear her mind. Just keep communicating with her, Osc. You’ll get through this.”
The two drivers continued discussing the situation, with Oscar ultimately deciding that, for her sake, he didn’t want to risk going public yet. But he knew Lando was right—she would understand. It wasn’t ideal, and it sucked for both of them, but they had to keep talking, keep trusting each other.
“Yeah, it sucks,” Lando sighed, “but you’ll figure it out. You always do.”
Oscar smiled "Enough about me now, what about you and Danny, are you okay?" Oscar then asked.
Lando nodded "It sucks of course, but I think it's for the best, you know. Danny will understand. He knows how this world works" he explained, playing with the string of his hoodie as he spoke "Besides, Danny is well aware of my feelings for him. Things have been going steady between us for a while now, it's just that we both aren't really in the mood to drop the 'We are both bisexual and dating our former teammate' bomb, yet. So if this is the solution for us to continue under the radar a bit more, then I'm sure he's fine with it"
"That's good to hear" Oscar replied, a soft smile sporting his face.
"So, you're not grossed out about me dating a dude?" Lando asks, a little nervous, even though deep down he knew the answer.
Oscar shook his head immediately "Why would I be? Wouldn't make a difference if it were a boy or a girl, now would it? As long as the person makes you happy, I'm fine with anything" he says with a smile
"Besides, it was quite obvious you were into both men and women from the start. I think everyone within McLarens has the suspicion" Oscar chuckles.
A few hours later
Oscar had invited you to his hotel room for a cozy movie night before the chaos of race weekend officially began. That’s how you found yourself now, nestled comfortably in his arms on the soft bed, feeling the warmth of his body against yours. The movie was playing, but neither of you was really paying attention. Instead, your focus had shifted to the weightier topic Oscar had brought up—one that hung in the air between you both.
He’d already explained the situation. Told you what Zak had proposed. He’d kept the details brief, just covering the essentials. There was going to be a PR relationship—a fake one—with another girl. Zak thought it was best for both your images, and Oscar had agreed, reluctantly, explaining that there didn’t seem to be much of a choice in the matter. He looked torn as he spoke, clearly not on board with the idea but unsure of any other way forward.
You weren’t happy with it either, though deep down, you’d expected something like this. The media had been buzzing for days, and the rumors surrounding you both were becoming harder to manage. Agreeing to the plan felt like the safest route for now, despite the unease that settled in your chest.
Oscar sighed softly, his breath warm against your hair. “But… what about us, though?” he asked, his voice laced with hesitation.
You lifted your head slightly, meeting his eyes. “What do you mean?”
He averted his gaze for a moment, his voice dropping to a whisper. “I mean, I’d understand if you didn’t want to… try things with me anymore. If you have to watch me kiss someone else, even if it’s fake. I can imagine you wanting to call it quits.”
You could feel the vulnerability in his words, his uncertainty over how you felt. Slowly, you removed yourself from his embrace and shifted your position, climbing onto his lap so you could face him directly. His wide eyes followed your every movement as you settled on top of him.
"It’s not like you're kissing her by choice,” you said softly, your hand lifting to cup his jaw. Your thumb traced the sharp line of his jaw, and you leaned in closer, lowering your voice to a teasing whisper. “I'm assuming she's not the one making you feel like this, now is she?”
Without waiting for an answer, you leaned down, your lips brushing against the side of his neck in a slow, deliberate kiss. The moment your lips touched his skin, Oscar let out a soft, guttural groan, the sound almost desperate as his hands instinctively gripped your waist. Encouraged by his reaction, you trailed your lips higher, finding the sensitive spot just beneath his ear. You pressed a soft kiss there before sucking gently, enough to elicit another quiet sound from him, a mix of pleasure and restraint.
“You can fake date her all you want,” you murmured, your lips brushing his skin as you spoke. “But as long as I’m the one making you moan at night, none of it matters.” You continued to kiss along the curve of his neck, your lips slow and purposeful, savoring every inch of his skin.
Oscar’s breathing grew heavier, and you felt the tension in his body as his hands tightened their grip on your hips. His heart was pounding beneath your palm as you slid your hand over his chest, feeling the erratic rhythm beneath his shirt. You let your fingers trail down, tracing the defined lines of his torso through the fabric, your touch feather-light and teasing. It riled you up to see how sensitive Oscar is to your touch. How you can make him tremble with something as little as a kiss and a few words. You absolutely loved it.
“I know it’s me who makes you feel like this,” you whispered seductively, your voice barely above a breath as your lips moved closer to his ear again. “I’m the one who gets you like this, aren’t I?”
Oscar whimpered softly in response, his breath catching as your hand slipped under the hem of his shirt, your fingers grazing the bare skin of his abdomen. He was trembling now, his body betraying how deeply your touch affected him.
“I want to hear you say it,” you murmured, your lips brushing the shell of his ear. “Tell me, Oscar. Tell me how I make you feel.”
His response was almost immediate, though his voice was strained, barely able to form words through the haze of desire. “You… you make me feel… so good,” he groaned, his voice laced with need. “No one else—no one makes me feel like you do.”
You smiled at his confession, your lips curving as you kissed his jawline, slowly making your way back to his lips. Your fingers slid up his chest, your nails lightly grazing his skin, drawing more breathy moans from him as you continued your slow, torturous seduction.
When your lips finally met his, you kissed him slowly, deeply, your tongue teasing his as your fingers tangled in his hair, tugging gently at the strands. The combination of your touch and your kiss had him whimpering beneath you, his hands pulling you closer as if he couldn’t bear to have any distance between you.
“You might have to kiss someone else in public,” you whispered against his lips, pulling back just enough to speak, your eyes dark with desire. “But I know I’m the one who gets you like this. I’m the one who makes you feel good.”
Oscar groaned again, the sound desperate as his hands moved to your thighs, squeezing softly. His breaths were ragged, his body trembling beneath you, the tension between you both thick enough to cut through. He was completely at your mercy, lost in the slow burn of your teasing.
Your lips trailed back to his neck, and you could feel his pulse racing under your tongue as you kissed along the column of his throat, sucking gently on the skin as you moved. His chest rose and fell rapidly beneath you, each gasp and moan a testament to how much he was losing control under your touch.
“Tell me what you're thinking, baby” you whispered, your lips brushing against the sensitive skin just beneath his jaw. “Tell me what you want me to do.”
Oscar's breath hitched, his voice barely more than a strained groan. “I want you... to touch me,” he whimpered, his desperation raw. “I need you. Please.”
Your heart raced at his words, and you pressed a lingering kiss to his lips again, your hand sliding down his chest, savoring the way his body shuddered beneath your touch. You could feel the heat between you building, the anticipation thick in the air as you took your time, savoring every moment of his response.
He was yours—every groan, every shiver, every whispered confession. And you weren’t done with him yet. You loved the dynamic between Oscar and you. How one day Oscar could be the dominant one, but could switch to being completely at your mercy the other moment.
Your lips curved into a smile, savoring the power of his plea as you moved your hand slowly across his chest, teasing him further. "You've got to be more specific, Osc" Your lips pressed softly against the spot just below his jaw. “Tell me where you want me to touch you"
Oscar hesitated, his hands instinctively moving to guide yours lower, but you pulled away just enough to stop him. “Nuh-uh,” you tsked softly, a playful smirk on your lips. “I need you to tell me. Use your words.”
His breath hitched, and he swallowed hard, his hand dropping back onto the bed in defeat. He tried to stifle a whimper, but you could feel the need pulsing through him. Your fingers traced a slow, deliberate path down his torso, ghosting over the fabric of his shirt and sending sparks of sensation through his body. You paused just above his waistband, feeling the tension radiating from him, but deliberately avoided the spot you knew he was craving.
“Do you want me to touch you here?” you asked, letting your fingers trail along his hip before moving back up to his stomach. His muscles tensed under your touch, a soft groan escaping his lips.
You chuckled softly, your lips trailing to his ear as you whispered, “Or here?” Your hand moved to his chest, fingertips tracing circles around his nipples. Oscar bit his lip, his breath catching in his throat as his hips shifted beneath you, desperate for more. But you stayed teasing, your hand wandering, purposefully avoiding where he needed you the most.
"Tell me," you murmured again, pressing a kiss just beneath his ear. “Tell me what you want.”
Oscar whimpered, his voice strained and breathless. “I want… I want you to touch me,” he stammered, the words faltering as if he couldn't quite bring himself to say them fully. There was a part of him still clinging to the last shred of control, though deep down, he knew how much he craved letting go. The truth was, he loved this—loved you taking charge, more than he ever dared to admit. His body betrayed him, responding so eagerly to your dominance.
His eyes fluttered shut, his head falling back against the pillows as you continued your slow, deliberate torment. Every brush of your lips, every whisper of your touch, sent a fresh wave of electricity through him. He gripped the sheets beneath him, knuckles white, his body trembling under the weight of his need. The intensity of his desire threatened to overwhelm him, and yet, he couldn’t bring himself to ask for more, savoring the sweet torture of your control.
You smiled against his skin, your lips brushing his jawline as you murmured, “Touch you where, Osc? Tell me exactly where you need me.”
He groaned in frustration, his body writhing beneath yours, aching for release. “Touch me… there. Please,” he whispered, his voice so raw it sent a surge of heat through you. “I need to feel your hands around my dick.”
A low hum of satisfaction left your throat as you finally let your fingers slip lower, teasing the waistband of his joggers, the heat radiating from his body pulling you in closer. “Good boy,” you purred softly into his ear, your breath warm against his skin as your lips trailed along the curve of his neck, planting a lingering kiss that sent shivers down his spine.
Oscar’s reaction was immediate—his whole body tensed beneath you, hips instinctively jerking upward, desperate for more contact. The sound of your praise hung in the air between you, its effect unmistakable. He let out a soft, strangled groan, the sound thick with need, as if those two simple words had unlocked something deep inside him. His eyes fluttered shut, his lips parted in a breathless moan, and his chest rose and fell in uneven, rapid breaths.
You could feel him twitch beneath your touch, the heat and anticipation rolling off him in waves. The mere sound of your voice calling him a 'good boy' had clearly struck a chord, one he was too overwhelmed to put into words but too aroused to hide. A thin bead of precome slicked against your fingers as you brushed over him, his body betraying just how much he enjoyed the praise—more than he would ever dare to admit aloud.
His hands fumbled for something to hold onto, gripping the sheets beneath him as he squirmed under your touch. “Fuck…” he whimpered, his voice breaking. His reaction was so visceral, so raw, that you could feel how much control he was fighting to keep, how much he craved your touch
Your hand stayed teasingly light, fingers barely grazing him as you moved lower, your touch enough to make him throb beneath you, every sensation amplified by the tension in his body. You smiled against his neck, savoring how easily you could make him come undone with nothing but your touch and your words.
“You like that, don’t you?” you whispered, your lips brushing against the sensitive skin of his ear. His answer came in the form of another groan, his hips bucking once again, leaking more in response to your gentle touch, his desperation growing with every passing second.
The flush on his skin deepened, the way his body reacted betraying the depth of his desire. You could feel the tremble in his thighs, the way his breathing hitched each time your fingers brushed over him, how his whole body seemed to lean into every touch, silently begging for more.
“I bet you love hearing that,” you murmured, fingers curling just enough to give him a hint of pressure, your words laced with amusement and seduction. “Admit it, Oscar. You like being called a good boy, don’t you?”
He let out a shaky breath, his body jolting at the words, unable to hold back any longer. “Y-yeah,” he breathed, his voice strained and trembling, so close to unraveling completely under the weight of his need. He pressed his head back into the pillows, overwhelmed by the sensations flooding through him, his body a live wire of sensitivity.
“Good boy,” you repeated, the words rolling off your tongue like honey as your hand moved just a little firmer, eliciting a strangled moan from Oscar that sent a fresh wave of heat through you. The way he responded to you was intoxicating, his body fully under your control as he writhed beneath you, craving every touch, every whisper, every teasing word.
He couldn’t help it—he twitched again in your hand, the dampness of his arousal slick against your fingers as he leaked more precome, his desperation making it clear just how much he wanted to give in. The pleasure was almost too much for him to handle, his body caught in that sweet spot between torture and ecstasy.
And you weren’t done with him yet.
Your lips found his neck again, trailing soft kisses along his skin, whispering between each one, “See? No random girl could ever make you feel like this… right, Osc?”
He whimpered in response, his breathing ragged as he squirmed beneath you. “No… only you,” he groaned, his hands gripping your waist as if he needed something to anchor him in the storm of sensation you were unleashing on him.
You smiled, savoring his surrender, your fingers stroking him slowly, deliberately, drawing out every sound he made. His body trembled beneath you, each moan and whimper fueling your teasing touches as you kissed along his jawline, down to his collarbone, then back up to his ear.
“Are you thinking about that girl you have to fake date now? Thinking about if she's pretty, if she could make you feel like this too?” you teased softly, your voice dripping with seduction as your hand tightened just slightly around him.
Oscar shook his head, his voice barely a whisper. “No… never. Just you.”
You kissed him deeply then, your tongue slipping past his lips, slow and sensual, tasting the desperation in his breath. His hands gripped you tighter, pulling you closer as though he couldn’t get enough. His heart was racing, the pulse of his need pounding through him as your hand continued its slow, torturous rhythm, bringing him closer and closer to the edge.
“You’re mine, Osc,” you whispered against his lips, your hand quickening its pace ever so slightly. “No matter who you have to pretend with, it’s me who makes you feel this good, isn’t it?”
“Yes,” he whimpered, his voice barely coherent as he bucked against your hand, his body trembling with anticipation. “Only you… please…”
You grinned, knowing how close he was, and kissed him once more, slowly, deeply, savoring every moment of his unraveling. "That’s right. I’m the one that makes you feel like this. No one else.”
Oscar’s moans grew louder, his body trembling beneath your touch as you finally gave him what he’d been begging for, his breaths coming in short gasps as he lost himself completely in you. Every groan, every whimper, every desperate plea filled the air between you, his pleasure so intense it left him barely able to form words.
As you kissed along his neck again, you took his hands in yours and moved them from your back down to cup your ass, squeezing lightly.
His response was nothing but a breathless whimper as he gripped you tighter, his body arching into yours, completely at your mercy.
The teasing, the slow build-up, and your seductive whispers had him lost, spiraling into ecstasy. You could feel him slipping away, utterly consumed by the intensity of what you were doing to him, and you smiled against his skin, knowing that only you could bring him to this point.
Oscar’s moans filled the room, raw and unrestrained, his entire body shaking as he gave in, letting you take him to the edge of oblivion. And as he finally reached that peak, his voice cracked, your name falling from his lips in a broken, breathless moan.
You smiled, your lips grazing his ear as you whispered one last time, “That’s right, Oscar. You're mine"
It took Oscar a moment to slip back into reality before he sat up on the bed, his chest still heaving from the high they had just shared. Without warning, he wrapped his arms around you and lifted you off the bed in one swift, effortless motion, holding you close to him. You gasped, half-laughing in surprise, instinctively wrapping your arms around his neck as he carried you toward the bathroom.
“Where are we going?” you asked, raising an eyebrow, though a playful smile tugged at your lips.
He kicked open the door to the ensuite bathroom and placed you gently down on the edge of the sink, the cool countertop a stark contrast to the warmth radiating between the two of you. Oscar walked over to the shower, turning the water on with a steady hand, before striding back to you, his presence suddenly more commanding, more assertive.
Standing between your legs, his body pressed firmly against yours, he leaned in, his lips hovering just above your ear. “Showing you that you’re mine too,” he whispered, his voice low, seductive, full of intention “You belong to me.”
Before you could respond, Oscar’s lips were on your neck, his kisses slow and deliberate, each one sending shivers through your body. His fingers tangled in your hair, tugging it gently as he tilted your head back, exposing more of your neck to his assault. He kissed his way down the column of your throat, leaving a trail of heat in his wake.
“I’m not letting you wait for the water to warm up,” he murmured, his voice dark and teasing, his fingers already tracing the hem of your dress, slipping underneath to brush against your skin. He gripped the fabric, pulling it up with one swift motion before tossing it carelessly to the floor, his eyes devouring you, the hunger in them unmistakable.
His hand slid between your legs, fingers teasing, barely grazing you at first, drawing out the anticipation. He could feel how sensitive you were, how ready. You let out a soft moan as he pressed his lips against your jaw, trailing kisses down to the hollow of your throat. His fingers found their way inside you, moving slowly, torturously, making you squirm beneath him.
“You’re mine,” he growled softly, his breath hot against your skin. “No one else can touch you like this. Only me.” His fingers curled inside you just right, hitting all the right spots, and you let out a breathless whimper in response, your body arching into him. “Say it,” he demanded, his voice commanding but still gentle. “Tell me you’re mine.”
His smirk grew as you struggled to hold back, his fingers now moving with more purpose, each touch a mix of pleasure and dominance.
"I-I'm yours" you moaned out, unable to form a coherent sentence "F-Fuck, this feels so good"
He smirked, pleased with your reaction, his thumb brushing over you in just the right way, coaxing even more desperate sounds from your lips. "That's it... let me hear you," he murmured, his voice commanding but still gentle, coaxing out every bit of pleasure as he continued his slow, torturous rhythm.
When he finally couldn’t take it any longer, he scooped you up in his arms again, carrying you toward the shower. The water had begun to steam up the glass as he pressed your back against the cool tiles, the heat from the shower blending with the heat from his body. His lips crashed into yours, the kiss deep, passionate, filled with need. The water poured over both of you, soaking your skin as Oscar's hands roamed your body, his fingers tangling in your hair, his palms gripping your hips, your thighs, every inch of you.
Without breaking the kiss, he dropped to his knees in front of you, his hands sliding down your sides as the water cascaded down your bodies. He kissed your inner thighs, his lips agonizingly slow as they made their way higher, teasing you just as you had done to him before. You could feel the smirk on his lips as he drew closer, his breath hot against your skin, his hands gripping your hips, holding you in place.
“You’re my girl,” he said softly, his voice laced with dominance as he looked up at you from his knees. “No one else can have you. Not now, not ever.” Then, without warning, his tongue flicked out, teasing you with the lightest touch. You gasped, your hands instinctively reaching for his hair, gripping tightly as his tongue worked slow, deliberate circles, driving you mad with desire.
His hands roamed your body as he continued his slow torment, one gripping your ass, the other sliding up your back, pulling you closer to him. He was everywhere at once, his touch all-consuming, his tongue alternating between soft strokes and firmer pressure, teasing you, driving you to the edge.
Oscar’s fingers joined his tongue, sliding into you in perfect sync with the rhythm he set, the slow, torturous pace making you tremble. Every flick of his tongue, every curl of his fingers was designed to push you higher, the tension in your body building with each passing second.
“Tell me how I make you feel,” he whispered between strokes, his breath hot against you, and when you couldn’t answer, too lost in the pleasure, he smirked. “That’s what I thought.” His tongue circled again, his fingers curling just right, and your body responded, arching into him, your grip on his hair tightening as the pleasure became almost unbearable.
He continued to work you over, switching between his tongue and fingers, his touches slow, purposeful, drawing out every sound, every moan. His hands never stopped exploring, roaming your body, massaging your thighs, your hips, your breasts, every inch of you as he brought you closer and closer to the edge.
When you finally reached your peak, it was as if the world around you disappeared. You shattered against him, your body convulsing as waves of pleasure crashed over you, and Oscar didn’t stop, carrying you through it, his tongue and fingers still working you until the very last tremor left your body.
“That's it, baby” he whispered softly, his voice a mix of satisfaction and possessiveness as he kissed his way back up your body, pulling you close as the water continued to soak you both.

What I Love About The South!- LN4
..............................................................................................................................
pairing: lando norris x reader
rating: e for everyone!
warnings: none!
..............................................................................................................................
"Hey...we've landed", a soft voice flooded my ears as I was softly shaken awake.
"have we?", I questioned my boyfriend. It had been a 10 hour flight from London to Austin, Texas.
"yeah babe, c'mon let's go see everyone" Lando said, dramatically pulling me from my seat.
I groaned as I stretched my arms and legs before grabbing my bags and making my way off the plane after Oscar and his girlfriend Lily. As we loaded our bags into the car waiting for us, I was filled with so much excitement; I am home. To get to show my boyfriend and my friends abroad my home is so exciting. Of course they've been to Texas before, but this will be the first time they come to my hometown and my family's farm.
"So how long of a drive is it?" Oscar asked me from the back seat.
"mmh it's about a 2 hour drive from where we're staying for the race" I explained to them as I slipped behind the wheel and set off. We had landed in Texas almost a week early in order for all of us to be able to explore and hang out on the farm until the grand prix. My parent's farm sits on over 20 acres in the small college/farm town of Waco, Texas. This is the first time I'll be home in a year, after I graduated from Baylor University and left my hometown for London and a job in finance. I can't believe what my life has become and I can't believe my boyfriend is about to meet my parents for the first time.
I squeezed Lando's hand in excitement as we arrived at the gate to my parent's ranch.
"I'm really excited babe." He said, running his thumb over my knuckles. After the almost mile drive up to the house, I parked the car to greet my family.
The four of us grabbed our bags and as soon as my parents laid eyes on Lando I could tell they loved him.... and after a 2 hour conversation with them, I can confirm: they totally love him.
..............................................................................................................................
"Baby,I think I could stay here forever", Lando whispers in my ear as I stare at the fire.
"You're lucky they haven't put you to work yet" I giggle, leaning my head on his shoulder.
"I think if I got to stay here with you forever, then I'd do as much work as they want", he said, kissing my forehead.
"I'm happy you like it here. I was worried it might be a bit slow paced for you" I say softly.
"I like to slow it down sometimes. Especially when I'm with a cute girl who wears boots and talks funny", he said, poking me in my side elicting a laugh from me.
"I talk funny? Speak for yourself", I retort.
"I'm only playing, plus the farm gives me another reason to love the south", he said somehow pulling me closer in the act.
"oh yeah? what are the other reasons?", I turn looking at him, surprised at what he was leaning towards, seeing as we haven't said the "L word".
"mmhm I don't know if you've met her but there's this pretty cool girl from Texas. She's got this accent that drives me mad, she's real smart, and she's stunning inside and out", he whispers to me again.
"She sounds really great", I whisper back; "reminds me of this guy I met in London. He's a racing driver, he's real handsome, and he's just so sweet".
He pulls me closer as I finish my sentence and places a kiss on my forehead. As his lips leave my forehead, he tilts my chin up so that my lips can meet his. The kiss is familiar and soft, like always, so sweet. Pulling away, Lando rests his forehead against mine.
"I love you", he breathes out.
"I love you too"

a/n helloooo guys this is part 2 from my last fic!! the end is lowkey rushed so im sorry, i’ve been procrastinating this for like a week but here it is!!
A week had passed since I last saw or heard from Chris. I've tried texting him, multiple times. I was left on read. Multiple. Times. Matt and I have briefly texted, and he gave me updates on Chris and how he's doing.
Matt says he seems fine but very distant. Which I find concerning considering he walked in on his brother giving his girlfriend head.
The last time I texted Matt I was left on delivered. I couldn't take it anymore. I tried to calm down by taking a nice long shower, I did my skincare, and of course, I lit a candle. My flat screen tv lit up as I picked up the remote. Pressing resume on Outer Banks.
Not even 15 minutes into the episode, my phone dinged. I picked it up quite rapidly, noticing the familiar name and contact photo.
Chris<3: Come over. We need to talk.
Me: Oh, so now you wanna text me back?
Chris<3: I'll explain everything, just come over, please.
Me: Fine. I'll be over in 20.
Chris<3: Matt is gonna come pick you up.
Me: Wait what? I'm perfectly capable of driving myself.
Chris<3: I know you are. Matt is already on his way so get ready.
Me: Whatever.
Chris<3: Drop the attitude.
My heart felt like it could practically jump out of my chest. One, why the fuck is Matt coming to pick me up? Two, why did Chris want to talk at one in the morning? I mean it is better than being left on delivered.
Getting out of bed, I slip off my robe and put on a blue shirt with a pair of gray sweatpants. My phone dings signifying someone texted me.
Matt: I'm outside.
Me: I’m coming.
Grabbing my keys along with my phone I walk out the door and see Matt standing against the passenger seat door. He nods his head in a come here motion “Get in sweetheart,”
He opens the door for me while I awkwardly walk over. He sent me a tight lipped smile. Not even bothering to give him one back I lift my hand and give him a slight wave.
Once I sit down in the car I start to mentally prepare myself for this interaction. I haven't talked to nor seen Chris since it happened. I look up to see Matt walking around the car, getting into the driver's side. He starts the car, putting on his seatbelt.
He gestures to the heat and the air knobs. “Do you want me to change it?” I shake my head, “No thank you.” he nods his head as he starts driving farther and farther away from my apartment.
“So, how have you been?” I hear him say nonchalantly. Not even wanting to look up from the endless Instagram posts on my phone I say, “Like you even care”
I hear him suck in a raspy breath, I turn towards him to see his reaction. Jaw clenched, hair messy, and a slight smirk on his face. “I do care,” he says nonchalantly. “Yeah, sure, says the one who left me on delivered for three days.”
Before he can respond, we pull up to the their house. Before I can even reach my hand out and grip the handle on the door, Matt locks it. Rolling my eyes once again, I whip my head around, “What are you doing?” I ask with aggression laced in my tone. “I need to talk to you before we get in there without you being a brat,”
“What?” I say with no patience. I really don't care for what he has to say. “Look-”
He gets cut off by Chris knocking at my window. It startled me but I'm happy to see him after a week. He goes reaching for the door handle, not knowing it's locked. When he tries to pull open the door he realizes it's locked. Looking at Matt and scowls at him. “Unlock the fucking door, Matt.” He's muffled by the glass but we understood what he said.
Matt’s eyes drift back to mine, searching for reassurance. I nod my head lightly, gathering my phone and keys in my hand, ready to step out of the car. Matt unlocks the door allowing Chris to swing open my door.
He reaches his hand out, I glance down at his hand and back up at his face. I hesitantly take his hand, whispering a quick thank you. Walking into their house, them following behind me.
I go straight to the catch only to look up confused when I see them both standing, not sitting down. Confused, I gesture to the couch silently asking if they're going to sit down, they both shook their heads no. Pulling a tight lip smile I nod my head awkwardly.
“Chris, I just wanted to start by saying that I'm really really fucking sorry, there's no excuse-” he cuts me off with a laugh that echoes throughout the living room. “Baby, I'm not mad at you,” wait…what? I did a double take making sure I was hearing him right.
“You're not mad either?” I say looking at Matt, only to be met with a soft laugh and a “No sweetheart I'm not.” I'm so confused. If neither of them are mad then why did Chris want me to come over? Why did he leave me on read for a week?
“Wait I'm confused if neither of you was mad, then why did you both ignore me for days?” the words come out of my mouth quickly, I'm not even sure if they registered what I said. “Well, we talked about…the situation and we came up with a proposition.”
“Ooo big words,” Matt mumbles faintly under his breath. I shake my head, still as confused as ever. “So, what is this proposition?” I say in-the-air quotes. They both take a step forward, toward me, sitting down on the couch. “Well um-we-,” Chris stutters until Matt cuts him off. “We wanted to know if you wanted..both of us for a night,” the words could hardly leave his mouth before my eyes bulged out of my head.
“Just to experiment,” I hear Chris say as I turn my head towards him. I didn't know what to think. I mean it sounds amazing but won't this ruin my relationship with the both of them? “But, what If it ruins our relationship?” I ask hurriedly, making a mental pros and cons list. What if they hate me after or, each other?
“It won't, it's just to see what it would be like. Think of it as a free trial type thing,” Matt says as he grabs a hold of my hand, pressing a kiss to the exposed part. “If you're uncomfortable we don't have to do this,” Chris lets out.
“It's not that I don't want to do it, it's just that I'm scared,” letting out a strangled breath. “There's nothing to be scared of sweetheart, we’ll take good care of you.” I can practically hear the smirk in Matt's voice. Chris slowly makes his way to one side of my neck, as Matt makes his way to the other. “Fu-fuck, what abo-about Nick..?” I say in between staggered breaths.
“He at a concert, with Madison,” Matt says groaning against the skin of my neck. “He won't be back for a few hours,” Chris mumbles before harshly biting down on my neck. Matt detaches his mouth from my neck, pulling me up from the couch, “Come on baby,” he holds me by my waist as we walk to Matt's room.
“Lay down on the bed sweet girl” Doing as he says I start to feel nervous, I've never had a threesome, hell I've had hardly any experience at all. Chris sits up against the headboard while Matt starts to make his way towards me from his position in front of the bed. Gripping onto my gray sweatpants, Matt looks up at me, asking for permission.
With my approval, he yanks them off only to be met with my soaking wet core. “No panties, dirty dirty girl,” Chris says with sarcasm in his voice. Maneuvering his way behind me, Chris’ chest to my back, he takes my shirt off also to be met with my bare chest. They both let out quite gasps. “Spread your legs for me darling,”
He starts kissing all over my thighs, skipping where I need him most. Chris starts playing with nipples, pulling and kneading them in the palm of his hand. “Ple-please, Matt,” staring down at him
getting closer and closer to my dripping wet center. “Please what baby? Use your words f’me,”
“I…I need you Matt, s-so bad,” breathing heavily at the sight in front of me. Matt starts placing delicate kisses on my folds. Finally, after what felt like hours he directly attaches his mouth to my clit, sucking and leaving soft kitten licks. Tightly holding onto Chris’ wrist, trying to ground myself.
“Hmm, you like having Matts' mouth being on your ma, does he make you feel good?” still caressing my boobs and now moving lower to my sides. “S-so, f-f-fuck, good,” stuttering like a madman trying to keep my composure. The feeling of Chris holding my hips down and Matt continually circling his tongue around my entrance.
Positioning two fingers at my entrance, Matt harshly thrusts them into my pussy, his tongue returning to my throbbing clit. “Matt, s-shit, faster, pl-please,”
Matt continues to slam his fingers into me, deeper than mine have ever reached. He keeps sucking on clit, I start to feel the knot tightening in my stomach. “You ready to cum baby,” Chris asks from behind me, sucking on my neck and pulling on my nipples. “Mhm, shit, so..so close Matt, pl-pl-please keep going,”
Increases the speed of his fingers, he detaches his mouth from my clit, replacing it with his fingers, rubbing in harsh, fast, circles. “You ready to cum, sweet girl?”
“Yes! Fuck- please, cu-cumming, I'm cumming!” the words fly out of my mouth at a frantic pace. Slowing down his fingers, helping me down from my high. “You did so good for us,” Chris says from behind me. Also, detaching his mouth from my neck, but continuing soothing his hands down my sides.
“Think you can handle one more ma..?” he says with a hint of excitement in his tone. Nodding my head as Chris got up from behind me. “You okay sweetheart?” Matt says, empathy laced in his tone. Letting out a quiet, mhm. “Use your words,” he says sternly. “Ye-yes I'm fine Matt,”
“One more sweetie. Okay,” nodding my head, Chris grabs a hold of my waist, flipping me onto my side. Matt maneuvers himself off the bed, he and Chris stripping from their clothes. I'm still lying on my side as Chris lies behind me. Matt slid himself back on the bed in front of my face, his cock inches away from my mouth.
He looks down at me with a smirk on his face. I feel Chris’ dick slide through my folds, positioning it at my entrance. “Fuck, you're so tight, baby,” sliding his dick slowly into me. My jaw drops, as my eyes close in pleasure. Matt takes that as an invitation to shove his cock down my throat. “Fuckkkk, so good sweetie,”
Chris starts thrusting into me, and at the same time, Matt starts to fuck my throat. Chris grabs my thigh lifting it with his hand so he can hit deeper inside of me. Matt starts to fuck my throat faster. I reach my hand up, massaging his balls in the palm of my hand.
“You take our cocks so well,” I hear Chris say behind me as he thrusts into me faster causing me to lunge forward on Matts cock. “Good. Fucking. Girl.” He matches up his words with his thrusts. Taking my unoccupied hand, reaching down, and starting to toy with my clit.
Chris smacks my hand away, replacing my fingers with his own. My eyes roll back in pleasure as he starts rubbing fast circles. I feel Matt stop thrusting into my throat. Looking up at him with glazed eyes, “Finish the job, sweetheart,” bobbing my head up and down, wrapping my lips around the tip and sucking. Hard. Trying to get him to finish as quickly as possible.
Clenching around Chris’ dick, he inhales sharply. “Do that again, fuck, just like that ma.” I start to feel the familiar knot in my stomach. “Fuck, keep sucking my dick, just like that sweetie, f-fuck yes,” Matt's moans increase.
“Shit- baby, I'm g-gonna cum,” he whimpers pathetically. Fucking his cock to the back of my throat again. “Fuck, I'm gonna cum down this pretty little throat of yours- shit!” moans and whimpers leave his mouth as he cums down my throat. Swallowing every last drop.
Chris’ thrust proceeded to get faster, his fingers never leaving my clit, still toying with it. “Fuck! Ch-chris I'm go-gonna cum!”
“Go ahead ma, cum all over my cock,” with his permission, I cream all over his dick. Leaving a white ring around the base of it. Not long after he cums in me. “Baby, fuck, I'm cumming,”
All of us were on Matts' bed, out of breath, sweating, and the smell of dirty acts in the air. Chris gets up first, getting me a wet towel to help me clean up. Matt stays in the bed with me, brushing my hair out of my face.
“How was that?” he whispers in my ear. “It was amazing Matt,” I whisper in a hushed tone, yawning, exhausted from the activities that just took place. Chris comes back with the towel in his hand, cleaning me up. Matt gets off the bed, grabbing a shirt from his closet.
After everyone gets dressed we all make our way back into the living room. Sitting down on the couch, awkward silence surrounds the room. “So, how do we feel,” Chris says after a beat of silence passes through the room.
“Great,” me and Matt answer at the same time, laughing surrounding the room. “Would you guys want to do it again?” I ask hesitantly.
“I thought you’d never a-” Chris gets cut off by the sound of the front door opening.
Nick walks in, pausing at the scene in front of him.
“What happened here?” he asks while gesturing to the three of us.
“Nothing!” we all say in unison. Nick rolls his eyes as he walks away, “Whatever I'm going to bed. Goodnight good people!”

Read Between The Lines
Author's Note: So THIS is why it's taken me so long to finally post (this and school cause MIDTERMS). This plus some (A LOT) more was originally supposed to be Part 2 of Sketches of Goodbye and was going to be published under a different title. HOWEVER, it was taking me too long to get to the meat of what I wanted Part 2 to be about so I just decided to post a chunk of it as Part 1.5. If you haven't read Sketches of Goodbye, you shouldn't read this yet cause it will make ZERO sense. NOT PROOFREAD!!
Summary: You finally got a much-needed break from your work, and decided to plan a getaway trip with friends you haven't seen in forever!
Word Count: 1.8k
Content Warning(s): Cursing, Mentions of Killing Attempt, Choking
It’s been over a year since you left Lando in Monaco to pursue your dreams in Japan. Although you texted each other congratulations on achievements and special occasions, calls and visits were cards that were never played.
Lando would be lying if he said he didn’t stalk your personal and professional social media accounts. There were multiple times one of the other drivers caught him watching your story or commenting pleasantries on your latest post. Some thought he was delusional and others knew how hard it was for him to let you go considering the length of your relationship.
December 14th, exactly a week after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, you had just finished preparing for the company’s Valentine’s Day collection. You took photos of your discarded designs and messy workspace before leaving for your holiday break.
Lando’s phone dinged, signaling he received a notification. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he read his screen. His colleagues paid him no mind and continued to eat the postseason dinner they gathered for.
“WHAT THE FUCK!” Lando exclaimed as he jolted out of his seat. All of the drivers glared at Lando due to his sudden outburst.
“Mate what is so catastrophic you almost upend the whole table?” George questioned his friend. Lando frantically showed his dinner mates his phone screen, most struggling to see the image clearly, which led them to check their phones to see what the McLaren driver was upset over. They opened Instagram and were met with your most recent post. At first, they couldn’t understand how a simple wintertime photo dump would upset Lando.
Until they saw the third photo.

“There’s no way you’re upset 'cause she moved on,” Lewis laughed.
“Lando it’s been over a year, she was bound to find someone else.” Max tried rationalizing the situation to his friend, but Lando’s thoughts clouded his judgment. He felt betrayed. In his head, you were meant for each other. He was willing to wait forever to be with you again. He only wanted you.
“You’re getting mad because she posted someone that might not even be a man. But do you think she would be upset over the fact you slept with girls left and right after she left?” Pierre’s question prompted an uproar of oohs, laughs, and dropped jaws around the table.
“But that’s different.” Lando attempted a defense as he slumped back into his chair.
“HOW?” everyone screamed at him.
“CAUSE THEY MEANT NOTHING TO ME. Those were just hookups, she has a BOYFRIEND!” Lando explained.
“Y’know,” Franco interjected, “if I broke up with a girl that beautiful, I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself either.” The group went silent as they looked quizzically at the Argentine who continued eating his dish.
Lando got up and started walking away from the group of drivers. “I can’t do this anymore.”
“I wonder if she knows he stalks her,” Pierre hollered after him.
“Oh, she knows.” Yuki’s statement causes Lando to freeze, slowly turning his body back towards everybody. She knew? Yuki knew she knew? How did he know? How did she know? Sensing the unwavering glares from his taller counterparts and what they wanted from him, Yuki answered their unspoken question. “I told her.” Yuki’s face remained unbothered until Lando came hurling at him, placing his hands around his neck as he vehemently shook the poor little guy, purely out of frustration. The other 18 drivers immediately got out of their seats, some yelling at Lando to get off Yuki, a few trying to pry Lando off manually, and others leaving the room to get help, even though the overlapped yelling was warning enough to anybody else in the building.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU TOLD HER?”
“WHAT THE FUCK BRO?”
“YOU TALK TO HER? DID YOU KNOW SHE GOT A BOYFRIEND?”
“LANDO GET OFF YUKI.”
“YOU’RE FUCKING INSANE.”
“YOU’RE GONNA KILL HIM LANDO.”
“WHY DOES SHE TALK TO YOU AND NOT ME?”
“HOW WOULD I KNOW?”
“LANDO THIS IS IRRATIONAL.” Eventually, Max could yank Lando’s hands off Yuki, sending the Japanese man into a coughing fit.
“You need to leave. Right now,” Max commanded his friend. And without putting up (another) fight, Lando walked out of the restaurant. Everybody slowly turned their attention to George, the dinner planner and GPDA director, wondering if this would be an incident he had to report.
“He’s lucky it’s the off season,” he sighed, easing any remaining tension at the table.
It was the middle of the night in Tokyo, and a storm was knocking against the glass of your windows. As much as you attempted to sleep, the constant pattering of harsh winds and repetitive dings from your phone overwhelmed your tired senses. Three blankets, hot chocolate, and another person to keep you warm were not enough to lull you into a fanciful dreamscape. You had barely arrived at your front doorstep when the interesting comments on your post began rolling in. It was always the same, so you became unfazed by their existence. You remembered commenting jokingly with your old friends Carmen and Lily. You truly did miss them, it just never seemed there was time for you guys to see each other due to vastly different careers. You were reminiscing about the winter trips the three of you would take to New York, with your boyfriends tagging along. As a wonderful plan began forming in your mind, you reached over to grab your phone off the bedside table, sending a quick text before finally falling asleep.
The next couple of weeks were spent preparing for your New York trip. It was a spur-of-the-moment plan, but Carmen and Lily were on board immediately since the last time you saw each other was during the Suzuka race week. It would almost be like old times, except you would be bringing someone else as your plus one. But you knew that Alex and George knew how to be cordial, even if it was their friend getting the short end of the stick.
Your phone rang as you were packing the last of your bags. You glanced to see the name YUKI POOKIE <3 plastered across the screen, deciding to answer immediately. It mostly contained catching up on your journeys and laughing about Lando’s murder attempt on his small companion, with a small reminder that he was supposed to pick you up in a couple of hours and drop you off at the airport.
You swiftly found your luggage at the claim and pulled your phone out of your jacket to call Lily. She arrived in New York with Alex a week before you, so now you just waited for Carmen and George, who would arrive in a couple of days. You stood waiting at the pickup zone for your friend as your phone kept ringing, signaling she hadn’t answered yet. As you were about to give up trying to reach your friend, you heard her voice from the other side.
“Hey y/n, sorry I took so long to answer I was in the bathroom. Alex is gonna pick you up, I have a few errands I need to run before the end of the day. I hope you don’t mind.”
“Oh, no worries, that’s fine. Do you know what car he’s driving so I know what to look for.”
“It should be a black Land Rover, the windshield isn’t tinted though so you should be able to spot him when he drives up.”
“Thanks so much, Lily, I owe you guys one!” You waited a few minutes before you saw Lily’s boyfriend, Alex, slow down and pull up in front of you. He rolled down the passenger side window, asking “Uber for y/n y/l/n plus one?” You were a little scared about George and Alex meeting your new boyfriend through this trip since it was usually Lando at your side, but Alex seemed cordial at the first impression. He got out of the driver's seat and helped the both of you load your luggage into the trunk, sticking his hand out towards your boyfriend for a handshake.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Alex.” Even though you were already on your way to the passenger side door, you slowed your pace to hear their curt interaction.
“Eiji, likewise!” ‘Likewise? Why are they being so formal?’ you thought as you took your seat. The two men walked along opposite sides of the car, one in the backseat and the other in the driver’s seat. Alex checked all the mirrors to make sure they were to his liking before he pulled away from the airport and drove to your destination.
When you arrived in front of your hotel, you made sure to thank Alex and asked him to say hi to Lily for you. The check-in process was smooth and you found your room with ease. As soon as you opened the door, you dragged yourself to the bed and plopped down with a thud and a groan.
“I don’t know why you were so nervous for me to meet them, Alex seems like a nice guy,” your boyfriend said as he closed the door you left wide open.
“He is a nice guy, I was just scared that it was gonna be awkward.” You could hear his footsteps faintly approaching you which were followed by the bed sinking next to you, indicating you joined you on the comfortable queen. You could hear him talking, but the jetlag hit you in a single strong wave, and his voice started to fade as you could finally get a reasonable amount of sleep for the first time in months. Eiji noticed you weren’t replying to any of his points of conversation and looked over to see you asleep, remembering the stressful weeks and sleepless nights leading up to this trip. He knew this was your only break before summer and decided to take a nap right beside you.

status update (?)
it's 2024, my real life is a bit of a mess (pending job change & cross country move), and i need a plan. i keep getting this urge to streamline, instead of bouncing around between fics like a goldfish with no attention span, so i'm going to lean into that and hope to god we get some results.
this is in terms of actively writing and posting. guaranteed i will still be daydreaming and plotting for all fics, but i still want to share some expectations with you all so we are on the same page and so i can hold my self accountable to my own imaginary deadlines.
at this point in time, i am going to post and complete SPRING FEVER first. it is the easiest and quickest to finish (pun intended) by far. and the only reason i haven't done it, is because i'm convinced the majority of you want other updates first. but i need to get it out of my head and off my plate.
after spring fever is completed... give me a few weeks? then THE PATH FROM YOU takes the drivers' seat. we are so close to the climax and conclusion, that it *should* go pretty quick and fast-paced from here. I don't have a timeline for completion but my goal is to post one chapter a month once we get to that point.
here is where i'm going to disappoint some of you. ALREADY GONE is going on hiatus. at least until the path from you is finished. this fic started as a side project, a distraction (read: shitpost), and now I have to rethink some things and potentially even dedicate myself to some mild rewrites. there is just a lot I want to do with it now, that i didn't in the beginning, and i want to be able to dedicate my full headspace to it. because the emotions and conclusion could be so good, but only if i give it time.
for hannah 2.0 and val: MEMORIES FEEL LIKE WEAPONS will get it's day in the sun. i've been taking notes on it for over a year, and i definitely need to work through it and finish it before i even attempt a tpfy sequel. there is so much i want to showcase in this fic outside of ginny's journey, but like with already gone, i need the time and headspace to do it. i will also, almost definitely, rewrite and repost chapter 2 at some point. i have more groundwork i need to lay with a certain slytherin. but that's a discussion for another day.
if this is in anyway a let down for you, i'm sorry. but this is the only way i can stay sane during a total life upheaval. thanks for sticking around if you've read this far and still like me. as always, i will post an changes or updates as soon as i figure them out.
love you all,
hannah <3

You should be careful what you wish for.
******
Two weeks after the popsicle incident, as you've been calling it in your head, you're out front with your kids while they play in the sprinkler. You can't believe how hot it still is in mid-September. You're seriously considering getting in the sprinkler yourself when you see Elvis walk into his yard to water his grass. He's mowed your lawn twice since the incident, but you haven't let him come inside. You don't trust yourself to be alone with him and he always seems to choose a time when you are alone. He waves and smiles and you return the gesture. You wish you didn't notice how good he looks today, but you've got on sunglasses, so you let your eyes wander. He has his short sleeves rolled up and he's wearing blue jeans that fit his ass perfectly. You're no longer sweating because of the heat. The sun is starting to go down, though, so it's a perfect excuse to gather your kids and go inside. As you look back at them, Michael jumps over the sprinkler. His feet hit the wet grass and slide out from under him. He hits the ground hard, landing on his wrist. He lets out a blood-curdling scream and your heart stops. You're out of your chair in seconds, running over to him. Somehow, Elvis beats you to him and scoops him up off the ground.
"Go get your keys! We need to go to the ER!" He calls to you while Michael screams in his arms. His wrist is bent in a way that makes your stomach turn. You sprint back into the house and grab your purse and your shoes. In seconds, you're back out the front door. Elvis is holding Michael close, leaning against the hood of your car, and rocking him gently. He's stopped screaming. Jane is crying quietly next to Elvis, holding onto his shirt. As you get closer to them you hear his voice. He's singing to Michael. If the circumstances were any different, the tender scene would warm your heart. His voice is smooth and silky and it hits you in all your soft places. But you're too worried about Michael to think about anything else. You unlock the car door and Elvis slides into the back seat with both kids. You jump in the driver's seat and try to start the car. Your hands are shaking, though, and you struggle.
"Take a deep breath, honey, we're okay."
His voice is steady and calm. You do as he says, breathe deeply, and start the car.
******
In the emergency room, you hold Michael and Elvis holds Jane while you check out. You've been there for over three hours and both kids are wiped out. Michael has a new blue cast on his wrist that's wrapped loosely around your neck. He's still awake, but just barely. Jane is asleep on Elvis's shoulder, snoring quietly. You finally get back out to your car and softly lay both kids in the backseat.
"I can drive." You nod at Elvis and toss him your keys. You're exhausted too. You slide into the passenger seat and start the drive home. It takes you a good five minutes to realize you're holding his hand. Or maybe he's holding your hand. Either way, your fingers are interwoven on the seat between you. It's comfortable and intimate in a way you haven't experienced since your husband died. You know you shouldn't be doing it, but you're too tired to care. He's been so kind and helpful today. It was nice to not be alone through this. You look up at him. His profile is beautiful with the streetlights shining in the windows.
"Thank you. You didn't have to do all this today." He looks at you and smiles.
"I really don't mind. I'm just glad he's okay."
"How are you so good with children?" He shrugs.
"I don't know. I've always been like this. I teach piano and guitar lessons and most of my clients are kids. I just think they have the best view of the world." That's why he's always home during the day. He works there.
"You didn't want kids of your own?" That question probably crosses a line, but with his hand in yours it feels like you can ask anything. Still, his face darkens and he looks out the window.
"I did. My wife did not."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked. It's none of my business." You start to pull your hand away, but he tightens his grip on your fingers.
"No, it's okay. I don't mind." He looks at you again with a sad smile. "She works a lot. She's one of the only women in her office, so she didn't want to be held back by having kids." It's weird to talk about her while you're holding her husband's hand. "I just wish she'd told me before we got married." There's a hint of bitterness in his voice when he says the last part.
You ride quietly for the last bit of the drive. He pulls the car up to the front curb and gets out to help you carry the kids inside. Once they're both safely settled in bed, you drop onto your couch and burst into tears. Now that the adrenaline has worn off, the fear and pain and tiredness of the day win out and you fall apart. Elvis sits next to you and puts his arm around you, letting you cry on his shoulder.
"There ya go, honey, let it out. I know today was a lot." He kisses the top of your head and strokes your hair. After a few more minutes of crying you're able to pull yourself together a bit and you look at the clock on the mantle. You sit up straight.
"It's almost midnight! Isn't your wife going to wonder where you are?!" He looks at his shoes for a moment, like he's trying to decide whether he should be honest, and then looks back at you.
"She's on a business trip. I can stay as long as you need me." Your stomach does a flip flop. As long as you need him.
His eyes are so blue as they flick down to your mouth and back up to your eyes. He puts his hand on the side of your face and caresses your cheek with his thumb, wiping away any remnants of tears. Your heart beats so hard and fast that you're pretty sure he can hear it.
Slowly, carefully, he leans in and touches his lips to yours. Lightening shoots through you straight out to your fingertips and he kisses you softly again. The third time he kisses you, his mouth is open and he parts your lips too. You let his tongue slide into your mouth and send yours to match his movements. His hand moves back to your hair and he holds you closer for a more passionate kiss. After a few minutes, he pulls you onto his lap, straddling him, with his hands on your hips. You press your body against his and kiss him so intensely that you start to get lost in him. He loses control too and slides both hands up under your shirt and bra, cupping your breasts and squeezing them gently. You pull your shirt off over your head and he reaches behind your back to undo your bra. He kisses your shoulder and then moves back to the center kissing you along your collarbone. You throw your head back as he grazes his lips down to your nipple. His two hands cover almost all of your back as he sucks and nibbles your chest. You feel his erection between your legs, pushing into you where you want him the most. You lift his shirt and pull it over his head, exposing the soft patch of hair on his chest. He wraps his arms around you and pulls you into a deep kiss, your naked skin pressed up against his.
You back away from him and slink down to the floor between his knees. You reach up to unbutton his pants and free his erection from his jeans. His dick is perfect. You slide his foreskin down, exposing the tip, and run your tongue around it softly. He groans and leans his head back on the couch. Then he looks back at you, watching while you work your mouth on him, taking him in as much as you can until he hits the back of your throat.
"Fuckkk, y/n..." he moans as you continue to lick and suck him. Hearing him say your name like that makes you even wetter than you already are. You pull him fully into your mouth again and then slide your tongue in a small circle around the head. You lick slowly up and down him a couple of times and then back off of him. He opens his eyes when you stop and watches you stand up and slide your pants down. You hope he won't notice how wet your panties are, but he immediately does.
"This all for me, baby?" He asks as he reaches his hand out and touches your panties. You nod as he begins to rub circles on you. Then, he slides your panties to the side and pushes his finger into you. He pulls your hips closer to him and switches from one finger to two, moving them in and out and tickling inside you. You groan and shudder around his hand. Just when you can't stand it anymore, he pulls his fingers out.
"Lay down, honey." He guides your hips down to the couch and lays you back, slipping your panties off and positioning himself between your legs. He lowers his head down and pushes his tongue into your slit. You gasp and arch your back as he continues to lick your sensitive bud around in circles, then left and right over the top, stopping periodically to push his tongue back into you. Your orgasm is building inside you as electricity gathers in your center. He continues to lick and tongue-fuck you until you feel like you might explode.
"Come for me, baby." He whispers it into you and the vibration of his voice throws you over the edge as he flattens his tongue against you one more time. You do exactly as he tells you to and shiver and pulse as the waves of pleasure crash into you over and over again until he finally stops licking you.
He climbs back up your body and kisses your neck while you lay under him breathing heavily. You haven't been able to say much this whole time, but now you find your voice and speak softly into his ear.
"Fuck me, Mr. Presley." He groans and stands up to remove his pants completely. For a moment, he stops, and just looks at you laying there naked. You worry that he's having second thoughts or thinking about his wife. Before you can say anything, though, he smiles.
"You're fucking beautiful." You sit up and pull him down on top of you.
"I noticed it the first time I saw you through that window." So he did see you. He lines himself up with your entrance and teases you a bit with his tip.
"I've been dreaming of this ever since." He thrusts deeply and plunges his dick into you as far as it'll go, filling you entirely.
"Oh my godddddd" you moan as he pumps in and out of you.
"You feel so good, baby. So tight and wet for me. I fucking love it." He kisses your neck and shoulder. You continue to fuck in this position for a good while, both of you reveling in the satisfaction of finally getting what you want.
Eventually, you push him backwards off of you into a siting position. You straddle him again and lower yourself onto him until he fills you up. You whimper and moan again at the feeling of his length hitting the sensitive spot inside of you. As you slide up and down on him, you feel another climax building. You bounce wildly with his hands on your back guiding your movements. You stop and roll your hips, pushing him as deep as he can go. You want to feel every inch of him. He holds you still for a second and looks into your eyes.
"Can I...? Should I pull out?" He asks tentatively.
"No." Fuck it. "Come inside me. I need to feel you." He groans again as you continue to fuck him with everything you've got. Your own orgasm is so close; you don't want to stop. Every pump brings you to the edge until he lifts his hips under you and you slam down onto him one last time.
"Oh fuck yes y/n!" He yells as you tumble into oblivion with him, the unimaginable pleasure filling every part of you. Your legs begin to shake as you lay your forehead on his shoulder. You sit there for a bit, trying to catch your breath. He wraps his arms around you and kisses you playfully.
"Can I stay?"
"The kids wake up really early..."
"I promise I'll be gone before they even think about it." You secretly wish he could be there when they wake up, like a normal family. But he's not their father. He has a wife. You climb off of him and try to walk to the bathroom. He grabs your hand and pulls you back to his lap, wrapping himself around you again.
"I just want to be close to you as long as possible." He kisses your shoulder and any resolve you had about sending him home melts.
"Come get in the bed." He smiles a wide and relaxed smile and puts his boxers back on. He picks up his T-shirt and pulls it down over your head, so that you're wearing it. Then, he follows you into the bedroom and crawls into your bed. You go to the bathroom and get some new panties to sleep in. You leave his shirt on, though, because you love that it smells like him. When you get in the bed, he pulls you close to him and wraps his arms around you. You haven't slept with a man in your bed in a long time. It feels nice. He feels nice.
How are you going to keep yourself from getting used to this?

See You Again
I'm actually posting a fic for the first time in seven months aka the first fic I've finished in seven months peace love teaching
anyway, I wrote this for the lovely @wyattjohnston's summer fic exchange! I got to write for @selfindulgentpoorlywritten but I've never written for Nico before, so I hope you like this (I was fully inspired by my own mess of a life)
Edit since I’m a dumbass thank you to @kat-hearts for reading this first and being amazing ily 😭
One of the characters, Nat is nonbinary, and I did my best to make the reader gender netural, which I haven't done before on either account, so I hope I did it justice (if something is glaringly wrong, please let me know!)
Warnings: I was mean with the ending? A little? Also, some swearing, drinking, almost physical fighting
Word Count: almost 2.8k
_______________________________________
“When was the last time you saw him?”
You tried to shift through your memory to figure that out. In person, the last time was sometime in the first week of December about two years ago. Thinking about him, which thankfully didn’t count, would involve you giving a much more recent answer, way more recent than you would really like to admit. “I don’t remember.”
“Well,” your roommate Nat says, looking down at their phone. “I have bad news.”
“Fucking hell,” you moan, tilting your head to hit the back of the seat of the Uber. You knew what they were going to say before the words even started to come out of their mouth.
“Nico is going to be there tonight. With all the guys.” You let out another groan, the Uber driver giving you a scowl through the rearview mirror. “I’m sorry! Jack didn’t know he was coming, or he would have told us way before we got ready.”
You stare out the window, trying to think of all the ways that you could get out of this situation. You already paid for the Uber and didn’t want to pay for another one. You weren’t about to go somewhere by yourself, especially since the bar you were heading towards wasn’t within a reasonable walking distance if you were to go somewhere by yourself, and no way was Nat going to leave with you without Jack, and Jack, of course, wasn't going to leave without his teammates.
“We can go back right now and I’ll tell Jack to have fun with his team instead,” Nat tells you as if they could read your mind. They put their hand over yours, trying to give you any sense of calm that was setting into your panic. “We do not have to be around Nico.”
“What kind of person tells someone they like them but not enough to date them?” you mutter, knowing you and Nat have had this conversation many times on your kitchen floor, drunk and crying together at 2 in the morning. They had introduced you to Nico one night after a game when the team went out to celebrate. They had been dating Jack for about a year at that point, meeting him through his brother at Michigan and reconnecting when they both realized they were going to be in New Jersey together. Quinn had used the reasoning of, “he won’t know anyone in the state,” only for everyone to realize later that he knew Jack had been smitten with Nat since they met. If only you had been so lucky.
You had known of Nico, obviously. How could you not? He was the captain of the Devils, the team you grew up surrounded by, the number one draft pick in the sport your roommate never shut up about. He covered your social media feeds without you really wanting them to and everyone you knew talked about what a great game he had the night before. You couldn’t escape the idea of him, no matter where you went.
When you met him that night a few years back, there was something about him in person that you were drawn to. He had been just an idea to you, not someone you could think about as being real. You spent that entire night with him, your friends either wandering off or you too enthralled with Nico to notice that they were there. Nat and Jack were heading back to your place before last call, and you were left knowing that you had to see Nico again.
He asked if he could kiss you, making you melt as his hand gently snaked its way to your cheek, pulling you close when you said yes and covering your mouth with his. You waited for his text the next day, anxiously checking your phone until he finally did after 3 pm. From then on, you told each other everything, texting each other whenever you could, him calling you and heading over to your apartment whenever he didn’t have an obligation to the team. You fell hard for him and you had believed that he felt the same about you.
“The kind of person who doesn’t know what they have until it’s gone,” Nat tells you, trying to pep you up. “Hey, we can find you a guy that is just as hot as Nico tonight.”
“I’m gonna move to Ireland and isolate myself with the spuds.”
“Act like you can be away from me for that long,” they tease, earning a laugh from you. “I’m serious, though. Tell me what you want to do, or who you want to do, and Jack and I will make it happen.”
You didn’t want someone just as hot as Nico, you wanted Nico. You hated the fact that there was more than one time that you had pulled up his messages on your phone, part of you unable to delete that conversation thread even though you knew it would be the healthy thing to do. But you weren’t known amongst your friends for doing what was best for your mental wellbeing, so you kept them, going back through the conversations you had in the four months you were seeing him. The last text was what haunted you the most, him telling you that he was going to be back in Switzerland for the summer and that he ‘didn’t want you tied down to one person’ while he was gone.
He said he would text you when he was back.
He never did.
There were multiple times when you wanted to text him, but you never did, either.
“Yeah,” you manage to choke out. “Let’s do it.”
You spend the rest of the ride in silence, trying to think of where in the bar you would be able to hide from Nico so that he wouldn’t see you. The guys were already inside, Jack telling Nat about 10 minutes ago that they went to start drinking as fast as they could.
The bar was somehow muggy inside, as if the beer itself hung in the air rather than the sweat of the nearly one hundred drunk people that were crowding every square inch of the floor. Jack was easy to spot for Nat, his five foot eleven frame not the largest of his teammates, but still distinct enough that your roommate had left your side within seconds of entering to be with their partner.
So much for finding you someone tonight.
You tried to stay away from him, closer to Nat and Jack as best as you could, but they kept wandering off from you. The last thing you wanted to do was go with them when they were both on their way to drunk and have a history of doing slightly illegal things in the bathrooms at bars.
You had to find someone to talk to. Any person who looked interesting. Any other guy on the team who you were friends with, but that was really only Jack, and that was really only because he’s dating Nat. Your phone was your only comfort, finding a table that had been pushed up against the wall and hoping that there was something you could doom scroll on that would distract you from looking towards Nico.
He had the right to do what he wanted at the bar with his teammates. You weren’t together.
“You ok?” you hear during a lull in the music, pulling you away from your phone for a moment. You didn’t know who was standing in front of you, one of the newer guys from the trade deadline that Nat definitely hadn’t introduced you to. He was waiting for you to respond, looking like he had wanted to sit down with you.
“Yeah, just, not a big ‘going out’ person.”
He lets out a nervous laugh, a smile that sends a jolt through your system that you hadn’t felt in a while. Since Nico, if you were really willing to be honest with yourself. “Me neither, honestly. I’m just here because I didn’t have anything else to do.”
“I got dragged here with my roommate so they can be with their boyfriend,” you tell him, gesturing to Nat and Jack trying their best to sneak out of the bathroom, Jack’s shirt buttoned wrong, both of their previously neatly styled hair in a mess that you only saw after hearing them the night before.
“So that’s the infamous Nat,” he says, taking the seat beside you. You nod as he continues, “Jack never shuts up about them. Not that Jack shuts up about anything or anyone, ever, but especially not Nat.”
“I always knew he was a good one,” you tell him, introducing yourself so he knew you as more than just, ‘his teammate's partner’s roommate.’
“I’m Timo.”
You spent the rest of the night bouncing between the table and the bar with Timo, him buying you every drink you wanted. There was something about him that was different, but you couldn’t focus all of your attention on him.
He was talking about his time in San Jose while you were waiting for your next round of drinks. You couldn’t focus on a word he was saying, Nico within your line of sight talking to a girl. A really attractive girl, you might add. You felt your heart drop, feeling a lump in your throat forming faster than you could lie to yourself about that scene having no effect on you. Naturally, Nico would talk to other people. You hadn’t talked to him in two years, let alone seen him in person. Just because you couldn’t get over him, no matter how hard you tried, that didn’t mean he didn’t get over you.
“And then I got traded here, and I love it, so far,” you tune back into Timo, who is suddenly much closer than you remember. It’s just because the bar is loud, people are starting to crowd for drinks, and, fuck, you have to admit, he’s pretty hot.
Nico was still watching.
Timo took your hand, leading you off to the table where you were before, the drinks in your hand probably not ones that you needed to begin with. His free hand snaked its way to your waist, pulling you close to him. You could feel your heart racing faster with every inch he got closer to you. You wanted him to kiss you.
You thought you did.
“I’m sorry,” you pull away right as his lips were about to meet yours, tears starting to form in your eyes, leaving the drink he bought you in his hands as you ran from him. Your breath catches in your throat while you try to find Nat and Jack, just praying that they weren’t back in the bathroom or too intoxicated in general to help out.
You heard Timo calling after you, somehow, through the volume of the music and your own drunkenness, breaking through and getting to you. You didn’t want Timo calling your name, you wanted it to be Nico.
You needed it to be Nico.
“Hey, hey,” you hear, feeling a familiar hand gently place itself on your arm. You turn around, Nico’s face a mixture of concern and fury. “What did he do?”
“He, he,” you stammer, the tears falling faster the more you looked at him, every memory you had with him suddenly rushing back into your mind. “He didn’t do anything. You did.”
You yank your arm from him, trying to find anywhere to be in the building that didn’t have one of Nico’s teammates looking at you causing a scene. You knew he was following you, calling your name again and again over the music. People were starting to stare, but no part of you cared, trying harder to not let the tears that were burning your eyes fall down your cheeks.
Nat and Jack were nowhere to be seen, the rest of Nico’s teammates trying to figure out what was going on when you burst through the front door of the bar, the cold fall air hitting your face as soon as you did. You let out a sob, trying to steady yourself against the wall of the building, sliding down to the ground while people waiting to get in tried to figure out if they should help you or if you were just another drunk person having some sort of meltdown that was none of their business.
“Hey,” you hear, a soft voice coming from above you. “I’m so sorry if I did something wrong.” Timo slid down next to you. “I read the situation wrong, I thought you were also into me.”
“I am, I just,” you start, trying to think of what to say.
“Hey, what the fuck did you do?” Nico yells, pulling Timo off the ground. “What did he do to make you cry?”
“Nico, stop,” you let out, Timo looking both confused and terrified by his new captain’s hand on his shirt collar. “He didn’t do anything.”
“What the fuck did I miss?” Timo asked, slowly trying to back away from Nico staring you down.
“Why can you talk to other people and I can’t?” you ask him, feeling your sadness turn into anger. “You had no issue not talking to me for the last two years.”
“I’m gonna go,” Timo lets out, barely loud enough for the two of you to hear and sneaking away before you could notice.
“You didn’t want to talk to me,” Nico counters, taking a step towards you. “But you wanted to talk to TImo instead?”
“Where the fuck did you get that idea?”
“You never texted me. You’ve spent the entire night avoiding me. You think I didn’t see you when you were by yourself on your phone?”
“You were in Sweden. And you could have come up to me and talked to me, what was stopping you? Oh, that’s right, your new girlfriend.”
“Switzerland. And she’s not my girlfriend. I haven’t seen anyone in ages.”
“Wherever you were, you weren’t here,” you tell him, your back against the wall. How long had it been since he had last seen someone? There was no way you had been the last person he was with. “You told me you didn’t want to be tied down while you were back home. You didn’t even want to talk to me, because if you did, you would have.”
“You’re joking,” he scoffs. “You think I didn’t want to talk to you? Every fucking day I have thought about how our conversations would go when I saw you after you get home from work. I would think about you telling me about your day, about everything you would tell Nat, or whoever you were seeing at the time. Every single person I saw in the last two years, I wanted them to be you.”
You didn’t know what to say, letting Nico’s words sink in. “Then why didn’t you text me when you came back from Switzerland?”
Nico took in a deep breath, closing his eyes and tilting his head up to the sky. “Because I thought there was no way someone else wouldn’t have realized how amazing you are. There was no way I could be someone who you thought was worth waiting for.”
Nico takes a step towards you, his hand gently taking yours. This was a moment you had been thinking about since he left for Switzerland two years ago. You knew he was going to kiss you, having you pinned against the wall of the building. His free hand cupped your cheek.
“There you guys are!” Nat interrupts, them and Jack clearly having just finished up doing something they weren’t supposed to be doing. Nico steps away from you, clearing his throat, the red in his cheeks so noticeable there was no way even your roommate wouldn’t comment on it later. “We’ve been looking for you, for um.”
“Long enough,” Jack finishes their sentence, a stupid smile covering his face. You knew he was lying, but no part of your brain was letting you focus on that. Nico leaned against the building, his arm up over your head. “The uber’s almost here. Are you ready to go?”

my feelings are still hurt from hearing Milo scream in pain from the bone is his arm literally being crushed in half soo…
Angst headcannons on ANYONE but my baby❤️ because who knows how much I can take??
First request! These are Angst headcanons for nearly everyone...except Milo and Sweetheart (when I say nearly everyone I mean nearly everyone)
Some characters show up more than once, some only show up once, hope you enjoy! [also the format is really weird for some reason and idk how to fix it? im sorry :( ]
Precious is scared to think anything in fear of Regulus listening in.
Huxley and Damien haven’t seen Lovely since Inversion, and haven't seen them return to classes either. To them, Lovely is dead. (well i mean they are dead but y’know what I mean)
Lovely is resentful of Sam for how much of his power he recovered after being turned compared to them, and they hate that they feel that way.
When Elliott heard about Sunshine getting into the crash, he nearly had a panic attack when he heard that they were in critical condition. The person at the front desk could barely understand him when he demanded to see Sunshine.
It took Cutie 2 months to finally pursue therapy, but due to how much the price of therapy skyrocketed in Dahlia after Inversion, they had to look for help outside of town, and is having their friend house sit until they come back.
Both Anton’s and James’ listeners have forgotten what they look like. James’ listener doesn’t even know if he’s okay.
Tank didn’t fully hate Quinn after telling the Department what he did. They were angry, but they didn’t hate him. It wasn’t until he ambushed them and their friend while on a walk did they feel any disdain.
Vincent sees Alexis as a step-sister. The feeling isn’t mutual.
Asher claws at his scars constantly, which creates more scars which he also claws through. It’s a cycle not even Baaabe can end.
Ollie gets tired through all the work assigned to him at Vesta, but he’s never told Babe, or anyone. He just keeps taking the work with a smile and insists on helping people with their work. It’s gotten to the point where he has to slip out of Babe’s arms in their sleep to finish up.
Caelum wishes to have a seat at the double wedding, but he won’t.
Cam’s insomniac listener hasn’t had a visit from him in a while, and it’s gotten harder to fall asleep. Whenever they can’t fall asleep, they simply dim the lights, play calming music, and draw a mysterious man that is stuck in the back of their head, but they can’t recall where they’ve seen him from. They usually do this until 8am, and it messes with the rest of their day.
Guy and Honey have had only 1 major “argument”. Guy was constantly distracting Honey on purpose while they were studying for their finals, something they’ve been stressing over. Eventually they grew angry at him whining outside their door and yelled at him to leave them alone and “pester someone who can tolerate him” before slamming the door and returning to their studies. They didn’t apologize right away, they just both sort of acted casually after a week. It wasn’t until a year after they graduated that the event leaked into Honey’s mind, and they randomly apologized to him. Guy felt that he deserved the reprimand, and they had a talk before they decided to play Mortal Kombat together.
Tank acts tough and violent, but they are petrified of Quinn. They’ve been with him the longest, they know what he’s like, what he can do. They’ve planned out everything they’ll say and do when they encounter him, but if they see him, they’re practically frozen.
Sam has openly refused getting into a car if he sees Lovely in the driver’s seat. He expressed that he’d rather run around the Earth than get into a car with “the second coming of road Satan”. Lovely laughs at the memory but Sam was dead serious.
When they’re not being worked on, or in sleep mode, the Asset sort of just…stares at their hands, and tells anyone questioning that they’re simply recalibrating data. They’re not. They’re reflecting on what happened to them when the obsession code was inserted, and trying to recall what they were like before. They can’t remember.
Freelancer has had MANY “not so nice” thoughts before Caelum revealed himself, and they returned after Inversion.
Angel’s cat died a little while ago. They didn’t tell David, they just drove to Milo’s house under the guise of “going to the store”, and played with Aggro.
Lasko nearly turned down the offer of being a professor at D.A.M.N
The Asset used to go into sleep mode when getting worked on or have upgrades installed. Not anymore. They make sure to keep an eye on the person working on them, and question every code they write, scanning to see if their heart accelerates to catch them in a lie.
Cam has been the only person working at D.U.M.P who questions Warden’s whereabouts.
Fred and Brighteyes haven’t spoken since their argument. Both because Fred can hold a grudge, and because Bright refuses to leave their room if Fred is out there.
Geordi tried talking to Cutie again, but they wouldn’t respond to his texts, or look at them, so he had to visit the house. You can imagine his surprise when someone he remembers seeing from the Pool Party inside their home telling him Cutie is out of town, and you can imagine his surprise when he came back months later and was told the same thing.
Seer Obscura is incredibly superstitious. No walking under ladders, no umbrellas indoors, no stepping on cracks, no going around a pole, none of that. They’re terrified of being killed by some horrible luck
David didn’t consider getting into an official relationship with Angel at first. He thought they wouldn’t last for more than a month. Angel thought otherwise, so while David wasn’t giving it his all for the first few weeks of the relationship, Angel was.
Lasko hasn’t spoken to his mom since he abruptly ran away, and neither of his parents have made an attempt to contact him, despite him trying to contact them.
Warden has grown dependent on Vega in the month they’ve been with him, and becomes distraught when he’s not in the room.
Baaabe is usually hard-headed and speaks with passion, but after Inversion, they grew to be more soft-spoken, especially around Asher.
When Starlight was first released from Hell, they sneezed after about a minute, so Avior was stuck looking at them sneezing super slowly for a month and a half.
(last one isn't angst lmao)

hello, could you do prompt 118 with João Félix. I had an idea that it might be like they were fighting over a match. Thanksssss ❤️
Another Loss~João Félix
I literally waited for the champions league match to write this cuz I knew Chelsea would lose 💀
anyways keep sending in your requests <3
you can request from my prompt list
this is my master list
players/drivers I write for
118-"fucking hell, shut your mouth." "make me."
y/n's shoulders slumped as João was subbed off. It was the champions league first leg against Real Madrid and they were already a goal ahead.
João was stressing out all week, training more for this match. He knew how important this match was for Chelsea. Especially since they haven't won any of their last matches in the premier league.
João was frustrated when he was subbed off. It was obvious that he was the only player trying to score. y/n took mental notes to make him feel better after the match. Whenever he had a bad match, she'd make him his favorite dish with some ice cream afterwards.
The match ended with 2-0 to Real Madrid. It was hard for Chelsea to come back, but y/n knew the boys would try their best to win the second leg.
y/n walked from her seat towards the lockers. The Real Madrid locker rooms had a lot of shouting and cheering. She let out a sigh and waited outside Chelsea's lockers.
Players started to slowly walk out, one by one. y/n still wasn't close with any of his teammates, except for Kai. As Kai walked out, he spotted y/n and walked to her.
She smiled sympathetically at him, giving him a small hug.
"how are you doing?" she asked, rubbing his shoulder softly.
He shrugged letting out a sigh before giving her a small sigh
"could've been better, but what can I say, they were too strong" he said, while she nodded at him.
She gave him one last hug, before he walked away and João walked out of the locker room
"hey amor" she said, smiling at him as he walked closer to her
He gave her a small smile, that was obviously fake, before starting to walk away. She realized that he was in a bad mood, and ran to catch up with him
The car ride home was tense. The tension was felt by y/n. She knew if João didn't say anything they were definitely gonna fight, and she didn't want that. So she decided to give him some time alone.
As soon as y/n parked her car in their parking lot, João got out of the car and slammed the door behind him. y/n let out a sigh and got out of the car too, following João into their apartment.
João dumped his training bag at the entrance of the house, and walked into the living room.
y/n went to the kitchen and started preparing João's favorite food. She left him alone, hoping that he would calm down a bit.
After about two hours of making food, y/n went to the living room, and saw João sat on the couch on his phone, with a blank look on his face
"hey J. I made you some food" she said softly, sitting down next to him.
"I'm not hungry" he said grumpily, not looking up from his phone.
"come on João. you didn't eat anything before the match, and you played more than 60 minutes. you should eat something" she insisted making him roll his eyes
"I said I'm not hungry. leave me alone" he raised his voice a bit making her also roll his eyes
She snatched the phone out of his hands and put it behind her back. His eyes snapped into hers, filled with rage and anger
"give me my phone" he said through gritted teeth, not wanting to lash out on her
"No! I know you didn't have a good match. And I know you didn't want to be subbed off when you were the only player giving effort, but that doesn't mean you get to release your anger on m-" she was interrupted by his voice
"fucking hell, shut your mouth." he snapped
"make me." she snapped back, making his eyes snap into hers
He shook his head and turned away.
Her eyes softened while she moved closer to him. She put her hand in his hair, scratching his scalp slightly
"I'm sorry amor. I just want you to talk to me when you're having a bad day, or after you have a bad match" she said softly, her voice sweet as it always was
He look up at her and cracked a small smile
"And I'm sorry minha vida. I shouldn't have snapped on you. Its just so frustrating how no one seemed to care about the match. I mean I know we don't stand a chance against Real Madrid, but trying won't hurt. I have been in the team for almost 4 months and I seem to care more than people who have been there all their life. I'm just so confused" he let out a sigh, laying his head on her shoulder
"its okay sweetheart. it'll get better soon I promise. you're still young and have all your life ahead. Maybe Chelsea isn't where you're going to stay for a long time. Or maybe the team is only passing through a rough time now and will be back soon. Just know that I'm proud of whatever you do. Whether you lose or win, I'm always proud. I love you João. don't forget that" she said, turning his head so he was looking at her
He smiled softly, leaning in to kiss her. When they pulled away, he laid his forehead on hers
"I love you more baby. Thank you for being there"

⭐️ STAR TREATMENT (miguel o'hara band au)
summary: miguel's still pissing you off, but maybe he's different than he seems... wc: 1117 cw: use of y/n, harassment
⋆part 3⋆ masterlist
"ugh, where is he?" you asked in frustration. "this is the second time he's missed rehearsal this week & the tour starts in 9 days!" you slid down the wall, sinking to the floor, your head in your hands.
it'd been a little over 2 months since the record exec showed up at a show & offered spider sense a record deal. the band was so excited, but miguel seemed like he couldn't care less. he argued about every detail on the contract, stormed out of the recording studio as fast as he could as soon as their sessions ended, & seemed to dread going on tour more & more by the day, telling you he'd 'rather die than be cooped up on a tour bus with these pendejos for months.'
"just ignore him, if he wants to be an asshole & not participate, there's not much we can do." dean said as he packed up his bass in its case.
"seriously?"
"we would do something but no one wants to get into it with that guy..." aiden said as he slung his guitar case over his shoulder.
"so you guys do do anything? you just let him treat you like shit just because he can drum?"
they all looked at each other. "yeah..." they all said in unison as the continued clearing out their studio.
you scoffed & rolled your eyes as you approached caleb. "why haven't you guys just kicked him out? is there no other drummer for your band?"
"look, [y/n]..." caleb stopped packing up his bag & turned to face you. "we don't exactly like dealing with him, but he's the most talented drummer i've ever met, he makes our band sound the way it does... as much as i wanna swipe those drumsticks right out of his big, stupid hands & snap them in half & smash his skull into his bass drum... i can't... i don't expect you to get it-"
"no, i get it, i do... as much as you don't want him, you need him..."
"right... oh, do you need a ride home? i know your car's in the shop & all..."
"nah, it's fine."
"but it's raining-"
"it's fine, caleb, i'm not gonna make you drive all the way to the other side of town just for me..." you said with a smile. "see you soon." you gave him a friendly kiss on the cheek & left the studio.
thankfully, the rain was light, but this part of new york was always to gloomy when it rained. it was late, the buzz of barely working neon signs filling your ears.
"hey..." a breathy voice said, it was coming from the alleyway. the voice belonged to an older man hiding in the shadows, his face illuminated by his cigarette. you kept walking. "oh, c'mon, won't you give me a smile?" he said as he walked out on to the sidewalk. you continued walking faster. "c'mon..." he reached out, grabbing your bag, pulling you back with it.
"hey! let go!" you grabbed it back from him. suddenly, there was a loud honk & a cherry red sports car pulled up next to the sidewalk. it was an older car but still ridiculously nice. the tinted window on the driver's side rolled down, a few raindrops falling into the car.
"get in," miguel said. you looked back at him in disbelief before taking his offer & quickly getting in the passenger seat before he drove off, splashing the man with rain water, probably on purpose.
"sorry, i'm getting your nice car all wet..."
"whatever, it's fine." miguel grumbled, keeping his focus on the road.
awkward silence filled the car. finally, you spoke up. "why did you help me?"
"excuse me?"
"why did you help me?"
he rolled his eyes. "what, was i just supposed to do nothing? what kind of man would i be if i just left someone out in the rain to keep getting harrassed, especially someone i know?"
"oh, so you just helped me because you would've felt guilty," you scoffed. "i thought you actually cared for a second there..."
"what makes you think i don't?" he stared at me intensely as we were stopped at a red light. "whatever... where do you live?"
"excuse me?"
"can't exactly take you home if i don't know where your home is." he said a bit sarcastically.
"oh, right, uh... 2099 north avenue..."
the light turned green he started driving you home. the rain was loud against the car, so you put your headphones on to drown it out.
"what are you listening to?" miguel asked. you rolled your eyes & leaned against the cold window, ignoring him, so he lifted them off of your ear.
"hey!" you said as the sounds of arctic monkeys spilled out of your headphones. you slapped his hand away & adjusted your headphones back onto your ear.
"you have good taste..." he said, a faint smile crossing his lips.
you were shocked. "did you just... smile?" a smile of your own appearing on your face as you teased him.
"what is that supposed to mean? am i not allowed to smile or something?"
"no, it's just... you never smile, you've got serious resting bitch face."
"resting bitch face?" he asked with a laugh.
"yeah, you constantly look pissed, & you act like it, too... you're an asshole, y'know..."
"really? so you really think i'm some massive asshole who doesn't care about anyone or anything?"
"yeah, basically... that's the impression we're all getting from you."
"hm..." his grip on the steering wheel tightened. "i'll keep that in mind, because that's not who i am, & that's not how i wanna be seen..."
silence filled the car as he pulled up in front of your apartment building. "thank you... i don't know if i thanked you before..."
"it's fine, it wasn't any trouble... do you need me to walk you to your apartment or-"
"no, i'll be fine, thanks again." you smiled & without thinking, gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. your eyes went wide, realizing what you'd just done. you quickly opened the car door, awkward yelling "bye!" before closing the door & running inside without looking back.
you hurried up the stairs to the 5th floor, finally reaching apartment 505, unlocking the door & slamming it after you went inside. you pressed your back against the door, listening to the faint sounds of rain against the windows & your pounding heart. there was a strange feeling in the pit of your stomach & you gripped your shirt tightly. was it anger? anxiety? embarrassment? no, it was butterflies.
you were falling for miguel.

Part 1
As I sit down with my bowl of cereal I begin to open my laptop and see an abundance of emails that I have ignored over the course of the past few weeks, because I've been having a full media and work detox.
As the emails load I see the latest email is from Gunther so I decide I best not ignore it otherwise if I ignore it like I did when I first joined the team he will give me a lecture about how rude it is to ignore emails. Opening it I scan it with my eyes whilst spooning my cereal into my mouth. I read that Gunther has called for a meeting for today which isn't much of a surprise given it's only a few weeks until pre-season testing and I don't even know who my teammate is. After last season I need a good teammate. Nikita was a great person but a terrible teammate. It was like Haas had only one driver driving for them because he spent half of his time spinning off the track or going into the wall so this year I need a teammate who will be able to score points alongside me.
I continue scrolling through the emails and curse myself for putting myself in this position, when people say F1 drivers just drive a car they are so wrong. They should try keeping up with all the emails and brand deals we have to do.
I finish my breakfast and quickly jump in the shower and dig out an outfit from my draws that are more than due a clear out but that's very far down on my very long to do list that never seems to be fully complete.
I double check I have everything before shutting the door to my apartment and heading to the factory where the meeting is, thankfully it isn't far away as when I joined Haas I bought an apartment close to the factory and moved.
As I approach the entrance I am handed my ID pass and make my way to Guenther's office. The building has become like a second home to me, in fact I have probably spent more time here in the past 2 years than I have at home, it's full of loads of Haas memorabilia such as the burnt Halo that saved Grosejans life, or the chassis of previous cars. Unfortunately the trophy cabinet isn't as grand or as full as Red Bull's or Ferrari's but it still displays the team's short history.
Eventually after greeting everyone who I haven't seen for a few months I reach the door of Gunther's office and confidently knock and wait for a response from within, it doesn't take long for him to say "come in".
Whilst he is my team principal he is also like a father figure to me and I would be lying if I said I didn't miss his dry humour and constant use of profane langauge over the course of the break.
I take a seat opposite him and see that there is another chair next to me so I assume someone else will be joining us shortly. We take a brief moment to catch up after the break and we discuss what we did and he asks if my swearing is under control yet. As last year every team radio and interview I almost certainly used a swear word, although I don't think he has much room to talk.
I could tell how stressed he was last year having Nikita crashing his car every 5 seconds, Dimitry threatening to pull out the Uralkali sponsor and having 2 rookies on his team was never going to be easy but I don't think he envisaged it being that hard, last year Haas managed to get 112 points all of which came from me so by the end of the year I was very burnt out and spent the entire break doing absolutely nothing.
The conversation bounces back and forth until there is a knock on the door causing silence to hit the room, Gunther goes over to the door and greets who ever is there but I can't see or hear who it is until Gunther moves out the way and motions to the chair, causing me to stand up and prepare to shake the person's hand what I didn't expect was to see that my new teammate was Carlos Sainz.
I knew Carlos was out of a seat this year, with much controversy behind it. I just never would have expected him to come to Haas, it's not that I'm unhappy with the team choosing him but he's going from one of the top teams to a team that is struggling to stay in the fight to be a midfielder.
Another reason I'm stood in silence is because well, Carlos is gorgeous there is no denying that and his natural charm makes him irresistible. I'm snapped out of my thoughts by Gunther repeatedly saying my name until I turn my head towards him and he then motions with his head for me to shake his hand. I shake his hand, make eye contact with him and say hello.
We both take a seat and Gunther walks around to his side of the desk, it kind of feels like you've been called to the Principal's office, even if you know you have done nothing wrong there is always nerves in your stomach.
"So Y/N if you can't tell by now Carlos is your new teammate" Gunther says in his typical blunt tone that makes me smile.
"Yes I had gathered that much Gunther"
We spend ages talking about media and contracts but it's more focused on informing Carlos on how the team works and what the expectations are although I can only assume they are a lot lower compared to Ferrari.
We are doing pre-season testing and revealing the livery in 2 weeks time so there are a lot of things to sort out in a short period of time. But after the meeting Gunther lets us go to lunch and it provides me and Carlos with an opportunity to get to know each other. before we go into the simulator for practice.
The lunch hall is quite full as the preparations for the next season are very much in full swing and with MoneyGram being the new sponsor there is a lot to change, I wish I could say I will miss having Nikita as a teammate but his father and Uralkali made my first season and absolute nightmare constantly accusing me of having a different or better car to Mazepin, I can't even begin count how many times my car was inspected by the FIA last year.
We collect our food and head to a quiet conference room as the dining hall is flooded by engineers, designers and loads of other staff that makes it barely possible to actually hear anyone. We eventually reach a quiet conference room and place our lunch down at the table before sitting down. For the initial 10 minutes we are just sat in silence before I'm the one to ask the first question.
"So why Haas, you must have been pretty desperate for that F1 seat? I say trying to break the silence with some humour.
"No, I wanted a team that would challenge me and I thought you would make a great teammate" as he finishes his sentence I have to look down because I can feel my cheeks blushing bright red like I've just seen my high-school crush.
He has great charisma, humour and looks and he is an extremely talented driver, the polar opposite to my previous teammate so I am elated at the fact he is my team mate although I'm sure my attraction to him will at some point cause a predicament that will arouse drama for us and the team. I can't help but admire him from the opposing side of the table, I probably look obsessed right now - but maybe that's an accurate description.
Throughout lunch we get to know each other more and more. He speaks about what it was like to have Charles as a teammate and I speak about what it was like to have Nikita as a teammate and I think I win at having the more Interesting stories.
But no sooner than lunch had started we have to go and do testing in the simulator which is an all too common thing in preparing for the season however I have never been a fan of simulators I don't feel they give the proper experience and plus 20 to 30 years ago there was no such thing as simulator testing and the drivers managed just as well. Me and Carlos go to separate rooms for the simulator tests and after we have to get our seats moulded so we don't see eachother until about 5 PM when we are allowed to go back home.
Unlike Carlos I live near the factory however he still lives in Spain so he's renting a hotel room. When we meet in the lobby I suggest we go for dinner at a nearby restaurant I know well and he agrees. We both head to my Audi and take a seat, "nice car" he compliments as he buckles his seat belt. We begin driving and in typical England fashion it starts to rain and the sound of rain pelting against the metal is a sound that feels the air of silence. But eventually Carlos sparks a conversation between us that is more personal and detached from racing.
"So do you have a partner?" He asks "nope, painfully single and probably will be forever" I reply further questioning "What about you?".
"Same, still single" he replies, "but sure someone with your good looks would be able to find someone" I instantly regret saying that it sounds like I'm hitting on him and he can clearly tell that I'm embarrassed.
"No need to feel shy, I am very honoured that you think I'm good-looking" whilst his response calms me, I still can't help but feel a little embarrassed still.
Shortly after making a fool of myself we pull into the parking bay of the restaurant and step out into the rain. We hastily rush into the restaurant taking refuge from the rain and are guided to our table by the waiter I know very well.
We are sitting down at the table and the waiter comes by again, "Now Y/N will it be the usual" he says whilst placing his hand on my shoulder, Carlos quickly averts his attention away from us and back to the menu after he's finished taking our orders Carlos comments on his behaviour.
"He's very touchy don't you think, maybe he likes you"
I laugh at his comment, "please I know his mother and he's so not my type"
"Well what is your type?" He presses on.
"The complete opposite of him" I state trying to give as little away as possible.
"Anyway, what's your type?" I ask, trying to deflect.
"Well I don't have a specific type I'm open to all kinds of people" He answers and as he finishes our food comes out putting an abrupt end to that conversation.
Over the course of dinner we talk about the plans for the forthcoming weeks and what the reaction is going to be like when everyone finds out that he's going to be driving for Haas. I can't lie, I can't wait to see the out roar of disappointment when they find out Carlos Sainz, one of the best drivers on the grid is in a Haas. I bet it's an image some can't even begin to imagine.
After dinner I drive Carlos back to his hotel which isn't too far from the restaurant and as I am about to drive off he invites me in.
"Hey, do you want to come in for a glass of wine?" He asks whilst undoing his seat belt.
"I can't, I'm driving" I say.
"Well you can just stay the night", I think about it momentarily and agree to come in. I quickly park the car and walk into the hotel with Carlos.
When we reach his room he quickly digs around in his pocket and pulls out his key card and opens the door. His room is more grand and well decorated than my own apartment and it's fixtures are more extravagant than anything I had ever seen.
Carlos walks over to the mini bar and pours two glasses of red wine and hands me one as I'm walking over to take a seat. I take a moment to admire the rest of the room, and wonder where Haas found the money in the budget for such a nice hotel.
We continue talking about our F1 careers and whilst mine is only 2 seasons old his is much more interesting than mine. We also talk about our personal lives, friends, family, relationships, hobbies and soon one glass of wine turns into a whole bottle.
Whilst I'm not drunk I'm certainly a little tipsy and probably not in the right mind frame to drive or walk home so I decide to take Carlos' offer of staying the night so I quickly get changed into some shorts and a t- shirt Carlos had given me and climb into the bed. Yes it's a little weird sharing the bed with my new team mate but I have known Carlos since last year so I guess it's not that bad.
A little after I had gotten into the bed Carlos comes out of the bathroom and gets into the bed next to me and turns the TV on.
"What do you want to watch?" He asks.
"I don't mind," I respond.
Shortly after he picks a TV show I drift off to sleep and don't really remember much.
Waking up in the morning I feel a headache and a slight hangover sweep over me. I hadn't had a single alcoholic drink since the last race of the season so it hit me pretty hard.
With my eyes feeling extremely sensitive the slight slither of light that bypasses the blinds peirces into my eyes causing me to let out an audible groan that causes Carlos to wake up.
"Are you ok?" He asks.
"Aside from a banging headache I should be fine" I say, pulling myself out of the bed and walking over to his table where there is a pair of sunglasses and putting them on to reduce the strain on my eyes.
I walk into the bathroom and have a shower all whilst keeping the sunglasses on my headache only seems to intensify as time passes.
I get changed in the bedroom whilst Carlos has a shower and we have to be at the factory in less than an hour so I only manage to have an apple and a glass of water for my breakfast and due to my headache I can't drive, so I entrust Carlos with my most expensive possession and pray he doesn't have an accident, but as he is an ex Ferrari driver I have faith in his competence and driving ability.
Although Carlos is a good driver I don't think he understands the speed limit is a limit and not a target and I'm sure when I go home there will be a speeding ticket in the post. However we do arrive much earlier than expected so I guess that's a positive. As we walk into the factory the smell of automotive oil is a smell that doesn't help my hangover at all.
We are left standing around for about 5 minutes before the head of Technical Engineering arrives and tells us what we are doing today, not before he questions me.
"Y/N is there a reason why you are wearing sunglasses indoors when it is winter?".
"I've got a little headache" I reply but he already knows.
"As long as your hangover doesn't impact your performance today I will look past it" he says unlocking the doors to the simulators.
Today is the day that Haas will announce that Carlos is joining the team and we have been informed we are filming a short video which will cause many people to have the shock of their lives.
3 hours of my day is spent in the simulator running through every single setting the car has and the different types of balance settings the car has. It's quite boring but it's also important.
The media manager comes by and pulls me and Carlos out to film the video and we have to do so many retakes because we can't stop laughing and I keep on saying "Uralkali Haas" instead of "MoneyGram Haas" but the final result doesn't show how many times we had to go through it.
"Hi guys my name is Y/N L/N, and I'm Carlos Sainz and we are the drivers for MoneyGram Haas F1 Team"
The team are then going to take that speech and make a promo using photos of me and Carlos in the sim and in our race suits and by 2 PM the video is out and the Internet is going wild especially the other drivers who had no idea Carlos was going to Haas.
I get a text message from George who knows about my slight crush on Carlos and says:
"Don't get too carried away" I laugh at his message and Carlos asks what I'm laughing at but I just say it's a meme, and technically I'm not lying because I am talking to the most meme-able man ever.
Over the course of the next hour the media is going absolutely berserk. They never saw this coming and quite frankly I can't blame them because I didn't either and I don't think Gunther expected Carlos to actually say yes.
Mid way through scrolling through the comments Carlos comes over and says, "I'm going out for dinner tonight with Lando, George and Alex and they told me to tell you that you are also invited" I thank him for telling me and I get back to doing some admin tasks to pass time and clear things off my extensive to-do list.
As the day progresses my hangover eases off and I manage to cope without wearing sunglasses and I vow to myself that I'm not going to drink for a few weeks, but these self promises never seem to stick.
I'm sitting in one of the conference rooms meticulously reading through emails, rules and regulation changes, and other miscellaneous things like sponsorship information. It's all quite banal and mundane but I'm in a great flow and manage to read most of the stuff that I had been tasked with so it should make Gunther and the management team very happy, last year I didn't really make an effort and didn't fully comprehend all the rules and may have accidentally touched Zhou's Rear wing in parc ferme and it was a costly mistake that resulted in me being shouted at by Gunther like a school child.
I decide that I have read enough for one day so I decide to collect my belongings and head down to the reception area to wait for Carlos. He is taking a while so I begin to pace up and down admiring the past cars that are on display showcasing the history of Haas, but eventually Carlos does turn up.
"Sorry I'm late, Gunther was lecturing me" he says sincerely.
"It's fine he does that often" I say putting my coat on and removing my keys from my pocket.
"So what restaurant are we going to?" I add.
"It's a Thai restaurant that Alex found, I'll drive if you want me to".
I think for a moment but see he clearly wants to drive so I chuck him my keys and we exit the building.
When we arrive the guys are already standing outside waiting for us and as we step out the car George is giving me his usual devilish smile that is insinuating something. We greet each other and shake hands and hug each other and they are all excited as they haven't seen each other in a few months. Despite being in F1 for a year I kept myself to myself and maintained a private life and didn't really connect with other drivers apart from George, Lance and Pierre so it's a little awkward for me as I have barely said 10 words to Lando or Alex.
We eventually head in and we are shown to our table. I try to sit next to Carlos but Lando gets there before me so I sit down in-between Alex and George.
I take this time as an opportunity to get to know Alex as we haven't really had much time to talk.
"So how's things going at Williams?" Is the first question that comes to mind but given the results of the season I can sort of make my own answer up.
"Yeah it was a tough season but we are working hard this year, anyway how are things going at Haas especially after Mazepin?"
"Going well, obviously I have a new teammate now so hopefully more points and hopefully the car spends more time on the track than in the wall".
He laughs lightly at my little dig at Nikita and then asks how I'm finding Carlos being my new teammate and I can't really think of an answer as we have only done two days of simulator testing so I can't really give a valid answer so I simply reply "it's going well, I think we get on" George hears my response and I see him pulling that grin again and I lightly hit his leg with my foot under the table causing his grin to dissipate.
Over the course of dinner Lando and Carlos are constantly touching each other and joking with one another and for some reason I feel angry, jealous?
I know I have nothing to be jealous of, it's not as if he's my boyfriend or even remotely interested in me so I have no idea why I'm feeling these feelings that are so irrational.
At one point Lando is holding on to one of Carlos' arms and I excuse myself from the table and head to the bathroom where I take a moment to just cool down and splash some water on my face. I don't intend to make an embarrassment out of myself over a guy I have only really known for 2 days. As I'm patting my face dry with the paper towel I hear the door behind me creaking open and see George enter.
"Are you alright?" he asks.
"I'm fine just struggling with a hangover still" I reply.
"You know you are one of two people after Carlos and Lando is fierce competition. He won't let Carlos go that easily, but don't give up."
"I'm not after Carlos I'm after a race win and more points are the only 2 things I'm after in this world, besides relationships just get in the way" I start heading for the door and George places his hand on my shoulder.
"Believe me trying to block him out it won't work, I've seen Lando try and fail doing that. And you are teammates you are going to constantly be reminded of him"
"Thanks for the words of encouragement George" I say sarcastically before heading back to the table.
I manage to finish my meal and decide I have had enough of watching Lando fanboy over Carlos and say I'm going home and I ask Carlos for my car key.
When he asks why I'm going I say I'm just tired and he asks if I want him to drop me off but I tell him it's fine and he can stay and enjoy his evening.
As I walk out to my car and press unlock I hear someone call my name and turn to see Lando running towards me.
"Is everything alright?" I ask
"Everything is fine, just do me a favour and don't make things difficult for me and Carlos," he says.
"I'm sorry what do you mean exactly"
"Well I like him and I want to get with him at some point but I know you like him too so please let him go and settle for second best"
When he says that I become enraged and say something I probably shouldn't have.
"I guess you know a lot about being second best considering Oscar is always out qualifying you and getting more points than you, McLaren must really love you to still keep extending your contract but you will never be as good as Oscar"
"Don't be bitter Y/N it's not a good look"
During the drive home I am fueled by anger and I have gone over the speed limit a few times but at this point I don't really care, I have never been so annoyed by a single person.
I spent a year with Nikita and Dimitry Mazepin. I thought I had the patience of a Saint to deal with them, yet some McLaren driver comes along, makes a few comments and I see red.
I fumble around with my house keys before eventually finding the right one and open the door. The entire apartment is dead silent apart from the faint ticking of the clock. I throw my keys onto the small table by the front door and sit on the chair by the kitchen Island sipping on a glass of water when my phone pings and it's a message from Carlos.
'Hey Y/N me and Lando are going to a karting track tomorrow for a quadrant video. Would you like to come?"
I can't think of any excuse to get out of it so I text back "sure" despite the fact I'm completely unsure and a day with Lando and Carlos will really test my patience.

need more apollo and darren lore to see if i can relate them to back to december
you can ONE HUNDRED PERCENT relate them to back to december if you just ignore the tiny detail of them not breaking up in december (but like, who cares because it’s the VIBE that matters and in this case the vibe is definitely accurate)
i will definitely be adding more apollo and darren lore…let’s just say… archery world championships happening soon…. olympics in one year…. kayla’s an icon mastermind…..
but! some little notes in specific relation to back to december
i know you may think this is apollos pov, but after looking over the lyrics again to refresh my memory… it’s from darren’s perspective. 100%
I'm so glad you made time to see me / How's life? Tell me, how's your family? / I haven't seen them in a while
apollos family!! not referring to his dad. duh. but darren’s prob just talking abt like the 1-2 times he met will and austin as babies, he hasn’t seen them since so “a while”…. sure darren, that might be a bit of an understatement
You've been good, busier than ever / We small talk, work and the weather / Your guard is up and I know why
small talk is SO real with them. they’re so awkward esp rn. they don’t know how to talk to each other. apollo says “nice weather we’re having” completely unironically and darren responds “oh yeah it’s nice”
cue silence for like 2 minutes until apollo asks how his coaching is going and more and more stilted conversation
AND!!! they’re both busier than ever!! apollo returning to being employed (kinda? i mean, he has a job so) and darren with olympics being next year
Because the last time you saw me / Is still burned in the back of your mind / You gave me roses and I left them there to die
i don’t wanna spoil exactly how they broke up… bc me and wronghuntress had like an hour long convo abt pollen lore a few weeks back and. guys. when i tell you i am SO fucking excited to write it‼️‼️
HOWEVER. this line. is very. very. very. fitting. from darren’s pov that’s all i’m saying hereeee
bc ik in one of the other chapters i said that apollos like “i ruined his life” and he DID but also like. it’s messy. it’s so very messy.
So this is me swallowin' my pride / Standin' in front of you sayin' I'm sorry for that night / And I go back to December all the time
not technically in front of him but!! the phone call!! abt kayla!! him swallowing up his pride, and there wasn’t necessarily an apology for the… things that happened, but it’s a step forward
It turns out freedom ain't nothin' but missin' you / Wishin' I'd realized what I had when you were mine / I'd go back to December, turn around and make it alright / I go back to December all the time
change it to march and make darren a singer instead of an archer and this would be one of his songs😭😭
These days, I haven't been sleepin' / Stayin' up playin' back myself leavin' / When your birthday passed and I didn't call / Then I think about summer, all the beautiful times / I watched you laughin' from the passenger's side / And realized I loved you in the fall
god… this timeline is actually SO real. if anyone’s making a pollen playlist out there (i should probably do that when i have timeHDKDJD) THIS SONG‼️‼️‼️
anyway ofc apollo is associated with summer in darren’s brain… and also apollo def thinks of summer too when thinking of darren :)
and oh yeah, ofc apollo’s in the passenger seat. bro probably grew up with drivers and doesn’t have his license.. rip sun chariot!!! (he gets his license eventually, ofc, but only bc it’s to drive will to school)
I miss your tan skin, your sweet smile / So good to me, so right
But if we loved again, I swear I'd love you right
i mean, do these even need to be explained? well darren, i can assure you that you WILL love again. it’s what we all need
okay so. i can’t really. explain the rest of this stuff. but here are the lyrics that stand out to me SOOO much because of how they broke up. that is all i can say for now!!
And then the cold came, the dark days / When fear crept into my mind / You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye
And how you held me in your arms that September night / The first time you ever saw me cry
thank you so much for the ask!! it’s been a while since some pollen content but i swear it’s coming soon :))

The Lovebug Virus - Chapter 1: KitKat
Yandere! Sun and Moon x Reader
Masterlist || Prologue || Chapter 2
*****
"And be sure to continue to practice reading Python, class. Your first major project is coming up in the next month," the professor says as the class begins packing up their stuff. You find yourself sighing heavily as you put your laptop away in your bag. This upcoming project will be the least of your worries if you can't keep going to school here.
"Hey, chipmunk," a deeper voice calls from a few tables away. You smile as your best friend, Kat, makes her way over to you rather quickly.
"What's up, KitKat?" you ask, slinging your bag over your shoulder and making your way out of the classroom with her in tow. She huffs before smiling wide and shoving her shoulder into yours.
"Sooo? Going to the party tonight?" she nudges for the millionth time in the past few days. You sigh just as you had all the other times. But before you can reject the invitation, Kat continues. "Come on, meatball! You haven't gone out with me since the first few months of school! I hear it's going to be huge because it's the official start of football season!"
You bite the inside of your cheek to hold back another sigh. You don't have any real reason not to go, and you hated having to let Kat down over and over like you had been. And plus, she did have a point. The two of you hadn't gone out together since the first couple of months of school, back in June when you first moved in together off-campus. Then, you two hadn't been as close. But a wild night at the local bar had brought you closer than anything, and you've been through everything together since. And with both of you going to school for engineering, you spent almost every day helping each other out with schoolwork.
You roll your head back as the two of you make your way out to your shared car. Kat leans on top of the car and contorts her face into an awkward pout that very much does not suit her features. It makes you laugh. "Fiiiine, but you owe me," you finally say, before climbing into the driver's seat.
The ride back to the apartment is filled with Kat's hopes to get laid by some sporty girl at the party, while your mind wanders to your very uncertain future. You haven't had the guts to tell Kat that you were fired from your job at the local bikini bar last week. Apparently, you were "too shy" and that made the guests "uncomfortable." Luckily, you were good enough with your money that you have the funds to keep paying the utilities at the apartment. But you can't continue to go to school if you can't find another job.
The search has been unsuccessful so far, with absolutely nobody seemingly hiring within a thirty-mile radius that had decent pay. You would think that within a city as large as this, there would be plenty of reasonable options, but every single job listing continued to prove the opposite. One had even basically described an unpaid internship, but it threw so many big, fancy words into the job description that if you weren't so smart, you would have certainly fallen for it.
You pull into your designated parking space and the two of you make your way up to the apartment, Kat still rambling on (although now she talks of some soft girl she met in one of her other classes). You unlock the door and head inside, Kat immediately going to make herself something to eat, while you retreat to your room. Once the door is closed, you throw your backpack onto the floor and flop down onto your bed. Between job hunting and school, you haven't had a moment to just relax and let go. Why does being an adult have to be so hard? Well, it probably isn't this hard for most people with the support of their family. But you just didn't have that luxury...
You sit up and drag your backpack to the edge of your bed, retrieving your laptop and resuming your search. You can't give up this easily and you've got a few hours before you have to start getting ready for the party anyways, so you might as well spend it being productive.
*****
"Oh wow," Kat says, stepping out of the car and ogling at the sheer mass of people surrounding the house in front of the two of you. She decided on a loose-fitting dark tank top with baggy lightwash jeans. You, on the other hand, had decided to stick with your usual oversized band tee and shorts. It's your go to outfit because it sorta makes you look like you're not as uptight as you feel you always are. But you seriously second guess your decision as you watch a group of girls wearing tight clothing or close to nothing at all walk past you.
Nobody will notice you. You look like a damn prude.
"Are you sure this is just a normal house party?" you ask nervously as Kat grabs your hand and drags you towards the front door. She laughs.
"Oh shush, meatball, you're going to make some friends with me today," she says once you guys step through the doorway.
"You mean I'm going to cower away in a corner while you find some girl to fuck around with?"
Kat glares at you playfully as she leads you to the kitchen. An assortment of different punch bowls line the countertop and several open bags of various snacks litter whatever remaining space there is. Despite this being where all the alcohol is, it is quieter here. You ponder spending the entire time sitting at the dining table and zoning into your phone. Kat narrows her eyes at you, as if reading your thoughts.
"Come on, please don't be like this. You need a break, so just let go and have some fun, okay?" When you don't respond, she grabs one of the red plastic cups and fills it to the brim with one of the mystery drinks before shoving into your hand and repeating the process for herself. She lifts hers up in front of you. "To a good night," she says, smiling.
You can't help but sigh and join in. "To a good night," you say, connecting the cup with hers before taking a long swig of the red liquid. It's pretty awful, tasting very vaguely of fruit punch but the taste is practically drowned out by the sheer amounts of vodka. It stings on the way down, but you find comfort in the warmth that follows. "Okay, I'll try to make some friends."
"Atta girl!" Kat says. "If you need anything, just text me, okay? My phone isn't on silent so if I don't respond, feel free to call!" She disappears out of the kitchen doorway and leaves you to your own searching. Maybe you could let loose and have some fun for once. Whatever is in this drink surely is fast acting, because you feel lighter already as you force your way through the mass of young adults, drunk or high off their asses. There's a sliding glass door into the backyard, and you can make out the faint glow of pool lighting from where you stood inside. Target spotted.
You head into the backyard and are relieved to feel the cool air on your skin again. The music is muffled out here, and the few people that are in the pool seem to be enjoying the cool water instead of being complete idiots. There's a group of people sitting around a fire pit, and you decide to join them.
For most of the party, you actually enjoy yourself. The group you approached was more than happy to let you join them, and they talked of some pretty interesting things, much to your surprise. You haven't seen Kat since the two of you split earlier, but you assume she must be fine since she hasn't texted you at all.
Suddenly, you hear some playful screams coming from the back door. One of the bigger guys is laughing, surrounded by a rather large group of people, carrying none other than Kat herself.
"Put me down!" she screams, but there's a large, goofy smile plastered across her face that makes you relax a bit. The guy seems satisfied by her reaction.
"Aw what's wrong?" the blonde guy standing next to the fiasco says. "I thought you were just 'one of the guys' huh? Then surely you'd be fine doing what we normally do!"
And before you can even process his words, the guy holding Kat throws her into the pool.
You stand immediately, worry plastered across your face. But Kat emerges unscathed, and... laughing?
The other guys jump into the pool as well, and you notice a shy looking girl giggling from one of the lawn chairs. Something clicks in your head and you realize it was nothing more than a ploy to allow Kat to be noticed by that girl. You roll your eyes, but feel something pull at your heart.
Why can't you be more like her? She gets the attention of everybody. And here you are, hiding away with some quiet people that you'll never talk to again instead of partying.
You sigh and excuse yourself to refill your drink. Once inside the kitchen again, one of the guys you had seen outside seems to have had the same idea, because he steps into the kitchen right as you try to leave it, promptly spilling your fresh drink across your shirt. "Oh, fuck, I'm so sorry bro, I didn't even see you," he slurs, reaching for a roll of paper towels and ripping off a few.
You begin sopping up the liquid the best you can. After a moment, you realize the guy hasn't left. He's actually staring at you. "Is there something you need?" you ask, looking up at him with an annoyed expression.
Way to go, if he had anything nice to say, he probably won't say it now.
"Don't I know you from somewhere?" he asks, brows furrowed in thought. It throws you off.
"I-I.. Probably n-not.." you stutter.
"Wait, yeah I do! You're that bitch from the bikini bar! Oh fuck, what did we call you? Uh.." He snaps his fingers. "Timid Tammy!" he says, seemingly proud of himself for remembering.
You feel your cheeks burn. Timid Tammy? That's what everyone had been calling you? An overwhelming surge of emotions overcomes you as you push past the guy, embarrassment tickling the back of your neck.
See? You're nothing but a prude. Why can't you be normal like everyone else?
The guy seems to find the entire situation rather comical, however, following you back to the backyard. Before you can get Kat's attention, he starts yelling at the guys in the pool.
"Bro! Look who's here! It's Timid Tammy!" Several of the guys pop their heads up in curiosity, different levels of amusement plastered across their faces. Kat locks eyes with you, immediately sensing your discomfort and begins getting out of the pool. She grabs her discarded clothes and tries her best to rush you out of the party before anyone can continue mocking you, glaring and insulting anyone she can on the way out. You don't exactly enjoy the amount of attention she's drawing to the two of you but god, what would you do without her?
You don't deserve her friendship. What have you ever done for her? You're even lying to her right now.
Once safely in the passenger seat of the car, you fall into a fit of tears. Kat begins the drive back home, unsure of what to say for a while as she lets you break down. You hate that you had to work at that stupid bar.
But you loved the attention, you stupid whore.
Does Kat think you're nothing but a slut for working there? Why couldn't you just get a normal job like her, being a security guard or something?
Because that's all you're good for. Your body gets the attention. Nobody cares about your mind.
"Hey, chipmunk," Kat says slowly, interrupting your negative self talk. You can't help but feel slightly grateful for the break of silence. There's nothing you hate more than silence. "Whatcha thinkin' about?"
You scoff before you have much of a chance to think about it. "Oh, nothing. Just the fact that I'm good for nothing but my body. But even that's not good enough because I'm not outgoing and friendly like you." Kat flinches at your words, making you immediately regret them. "I-I'm sorry."
"No, you're angry. And rightfully so. What they said back there was fucked up, girl." She pulls into the gate to your apartment complex, parks, turns off the lights, but doesn't shut off the car. Instead, she turns to you. "Why do you even work there if you hate it so much?" she asks, and you shrink back under her curious gaze. Guess you don't really have much of a choice but to tell her now.
"W-Well, that's the thing... I kinda don't anymore?" The statement sounds more like a question with the way you say it, and Kat's curiosity turns to confusion.
"What? Did you quit?" You shake your head. "Seriously? They fired you? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't know how," you say sheepishly.
Kat puts her face in her hands for a moment. "So what have you been paying the utilities with?"
You slide further down into your seat. "M-My savings..."
The brunette takes a deep breath before speaking again. She grabs your hands and locks her blue eyes with yours. "Y/N, I'm going to ask my brother if there's any openings at the Pizzaplex. And if there is, you're going to take it. I assume since you're dipping into your savings, you can't afford anything for class?" You nod. "Yeah, I'm sure there's gotta be something in the plex that needs help. There's always something open. I just wish you would have said something, girl. You know I'm here for you."
You feel small under her gaze. Stupid. Childish. She always knows exactly what to do, and you always shut her out when you need her most. God, why haven't you just gotten a therapist yet? Oh, right. Can't afford one.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, KitKat," you whisper, feeling tears stinging your eyes again. Kat only smiles.
"Shush, none of that. For now, lets go eat some ice cream or something and fall asleep watching a Disney movie."
"But you hate Disney movies."
"But you love them," she retorts. You smile and she finally shuts the engine off.
*****
A/N: So, the first chapter! Ahhh! I know, there's no Sun or Moon yet, but be patient, my lovlies. I meant it when I said slow burn. I have so many good ideas for this book. But it was absolutely necessary that I set up your good friendship with Kat first, so you don't underestimate how much she cares about you! Oh, and yay for trauma!! Gotta love that negative self-talk, am I right??
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed, and stay tuned for chapter two, because that's when you get to meet Sun! Until next chapter, my lovelies~

Struck (Chapter 2)
Word count: 9.0k+
Pairing: Daniel Wagner x Female Reader
Warnings: 18+ as always, language, drinking, smut, fluff.
Struck Playlist
A/N: Special shoutout to my beta, my co-writer, and my dear friend @gvfjess none of this would be what it is without her touch.
DANNY POV
Days have passed slowly, playing show after show. You are ready to go home. You are ready for your break. Only two more shows. You’ve taken Josh’s advice and left her alone and you have hated every second of it. You have almost texted her a few times over the past two weeks. Part of you thought that she might text you, but she hasn’t.
You find yourself hitting the play button on that video of her more often than you should, while safe in the confines of your bunk, the curtain pulled closed.
If it were an actual button the tiny triangle would be rubbed off, long gone by now, only the illuminated plastic nub remaining. Hitting it again tonight, you are sucked right back into that moment. Her smile, the way her voice sounds, all of it ringing through your headphones, the sweetest noises you’ve ever captured. Your heart is calling out to know her so loudly you wonder if the others must hear it too. But it shouldn’t be. It can’t. You have been able to fight it off this long, but you aren’t sure how much longer you’re willing to fight.
As the days continue to pass your resolve is slowly chipped away, piece by piece with every play of that video, and every swipe through those pictures. Every scroll through her instagram breaks down the wall you have been building brick by brick. Your will to fight it crumbling. The bricks are falling around you faster than you can put them back up.
So tonight when you sent her that text, it was really no surprise. It’s almost like you’ve been preparing yourself for this to happen. It's funny to you though, how talking to her is all you can think about but when you try to write the text nothing comes to mind. Not a single phrase. All you can manage is hey, and you know that is about the lamest thing you could have said, but saying something to her was better than nothing at all.
You: Hey
You haven't spoken to her in what feels like weeks… maybe it has been? You wonder if she will even respond. You think back to the first time you texted her, only receiving a heart reaction on your text. Your heart dropped a little that night, thinking that maybe you thought more of her than she thought of you. You can't help yourself from sinking back into that feeling. Reading the text again you sigh and place your phone on your chest. The nerves coursing through your body limb by limb are quickly replaced with a rush of dopamine as the buzz of your phone against your skin indicates she's replied.
With shaky hands, you illuminate the screen and see her response.
Her: Well… I thought you’d forgotten about me.
If only she knew. If only you could tell her.
You: Of course not. We have been really busy. Only have two more shows before our break.
Her: Good to know….So then what happens when you get a break?
You: Well, we get to go home and relax for a few weeks before we start back up again. It’s really a never ending cycle.
Her: How long will you be home?
You: About two weeks.
Her: That makes sense…the Ypsi show is in three weeks.
You: I’ll see you there?
Her: Probably… I’ll have the shirt on that says I’m a Jake Girl…
You: I think you should wear the one that says I’m a Danny Girl.
Her: Maybe, I haven’t been convinced of that just yet.
You: I guess I’ll just have to try harder.
Her: Or at all…
You: I deserved that.
Her: ;)
You lock your phone and slide it into the drawer, falling asleep tonight with a smile on your face and a flutter in your chest.
“Alright boys, see you in two weeks!” Jake says as you throw the last of your bags into the trunk of your car.
“Later…” you say waving them off, sliding into the driver's seat of your car.
It’s always so weird driving again after long stretches of being on the road. You always wonder how your body just knows exactly what to do, no matter how long it’s been. Although that's kind of how it is with playing an instrument. You never really forget. You hurry and head home, knowing that you are supposed to go to your friend's show tonight in Detroit. It’s about an hour and a half drive from Frankenmuth to Detroit and you planned ahead getting a hotel room, knowing that he likes to drink after the shows end. His band was really starting to take off, so when he told you that they were playing on the same night you got home, you knew you had to be there for him just like he was for you.
The drive is short back to your apartment, and you spend the little time you have at home, taking a shower in a real shower and getting ready, enjoying the silence. As much as you’d love to sleep in your own bed tonight, you can wait just one more night. You pack a small bag and throw it in your front seat, praying you don't hit traffic as you get into Detroit.
About two hours later you are texting him that you’ve arrived as you walk up to the venue. He replies instantly telling you to head to the side door and he would let you in. Once you’re backstage you have your great reunion and chat over drinks. You tell them about how the tour is going and how you’re glad to be home for a break. You tell him how excited you are that this worked out and how you’re really happy to be here to support him. You’ve been friends for a while and you reminisce on the times it was you two jamming together in your parent's basement. Long before the Greta days.
About 10 minutes before the show starts you head out to the front of the house to stand near the back. You like seeing shows from this perspective. It’s nice to be the patron sometimes. It feels like the only shows you ever see are from side stages these days. One of the other guys joins you and you grab a drink from the bar before securing your spot in the back near the sound booth.
You make small conversation with him until the lights go down and you hear the intro music begin to play. You are excited, you haven't heard them play in a while. You’re interested to see how they have progressed since last time. You couldn't be happier for your friend when the crowd begins to cheer as they take the stage. You know exactly how it feels. The venue is packed and people are singing along to their songs, you nod your head along to the beat playing and that's when you see her.
Surely not…
You step to the side to try and get a better look and sure enough. It's her. Here, merely a few feet away from you. Standing towards the back of the crowd, talking to a girl next to her. Your heart begins to beat rapidly.
What is she doing here? What are the odds?
HER POV
“So what do you think? They are even better live, right?!” she asks, grabbing your arm and bouncing along with the music.
You smile and nod your head in agreement. You are glad you came, you almost didn't, but something told you that you should. You are having a good time and you love spending time with her. Her, being Ash, your former roommate. She invited you to come with her and her boyfriend James tonight since she introduced you to them last year. She decided to move in with James a few months ago and you were happy for her but you would be lying if you said you didn't miss your girls nights sometimes. As you sip the beer in your hand they start to play one of the songs you know the best and a smile crosses your face. You turn to her and tell her that after this song you are going to head to the bathroom and she nods.
You both sing your lungs out to every word and laugh at each other the whole time. As the song concludes you tap her shoulder to tell her you’re going and turn to head through the large double doors at the back of the venue. As you weave through a few people crowded behind you, you step into the clearing and you see him. Inhaling sharply you double take just to be sure.
It's him. What is he doing here?
You feel yourself tense up with nerves as your eyes meet his. His piercing brown eyes quickly cast a spell over you, eliciting that warm feeling to course through you. Snapping out of it you quickly flick your eyes back to the door and push through heading into the lobby in search of the bathrooms.
As you reach the stall you quickly pee and wash your hands. You stare at yourself in the mirror for a second, fixing your hair and trying to regain your composure before you inevitably have to walk back through those doors.
You thought you had more time. You thought you wouldn't have to see him until the show. You never thought you’d see him here. Not tonight. You’d be lying if you said you weren't a little bit happy though.
You blow out a deep breath as you push the bathroom door open. You fix your skirt and open the venue door, the loud music washing over you in a wave as the doors open wider. As you step in you see him again. He hasn't moved but he is now talking to some girls that have approached him. You cast a glance in his direction and his eyes flick to yours again. He nods his head gesturing for you to come over to him and you swallow heavily as your feet move in his direction.
You look over to see Ash and James still enjoying themselves, so you decide that talking to Danny for a few minutes won’t hurt. As you walk up to him he is finishing his conversation with who you now know were some of his fans. They walk away and suddenly it's just the two of you.
“Well hello Jake girl… never thought I would see you here...” he says with a smile.
Warmth rushes throughout your limbs at the sound of his velvety voice.
“I’m not sure why you’re surprised, we have the same taste in music after all…” you say playfully.
“Touché… let me rephrase, I am glad to see you here. I didn’t think I would see you until the show.” he says, biting his bottom lip nervously.
He is dressed differently than the last time you saw him, this time in jeans and a t-shirt that clings tightly to his chiseled biceps. His hair is in long wild curls hanging freely around his face and his cheeks are slightly pink from the heat of the venue, or the alcohol, you’re not sure.
“I know, I’m full of surprises I guess.” you smile up at him.
“That you are…” he says trailing off, biting the inside of his cheek. “Have you listened to them for long?” he asks.
“Only about a year, my friend Ash…” you say pointing over to her direction “introduced them to me. I really like them. They sound really good live.”
“The guy singing is one of my best friends…” he says.
“Really? Well, aren't you just connected…” you reply smugly.
“Yeah, we have been friends since middle school. I can assure you we did not look like this back then…” he laughs.
“Oh please… I’m sure you were still hot even then.”
It tumbles from your lips faster than you can stop it. You swallow nervously.
Shit.
A smirk crosses his face as he takes a sip of his beer.
“Well, I should probably get back to my friends…. It was good to see you Danny.” you say nervously.
His brow furrows as he realizes you’re leaving. “Ah, um, I– Yeah, it was good to see you too.” he says. He looks defeated and you look at him for another second, giving him the chance to say what you so desperately want to hear. But he doesn't. Instead, he flicks his eyes to your lips and then back up to meet your eyes, a warm smile turning up the corners of his lips.
With that, you turn on your heels and walk back over to Ash.
“Where have you been?!” she asks over the loud music grabbing your arm.
“Saw someone I knew, sorry didn't mean to worry you!” you reply.
You spend the rest of the show enjoying the music with your friends but you can't help but feel the eyes peering into the back of your head. You didn’t dare turn around to see for yourself, afraid of what you might do if you looked into his eyes again. Something about him has turned you into putty.
You push the thoughts from your head and enjoy the rest of the show. As the house lights come up, Ash turns to you, wrapping her arms around you, “thank you soooo much for coming with us tonight. I miss you so much and I want to get together again soon.”
“I miss you too, you can call me anytime you want. You know I always answer.” you say hugging her back.
“Are you driving back tonight?” she asks.
“Yeah I am going to head out, you guys be careful okay?” you ask.
“We will, text me when you get back so I don't worry! Love you byeeee!” she says walking off with James’ arm wrapped tightly around her shoulders.
You wave goodbye and fish your phone from the bottom of your purse, checking your notifications quickly before shoving it back in. Nothing important. You grab your car keys and begin to make your way to the doors.
As you walk past the sound booth you see Danny. He cuts his conversation off rushing to catch up with you. “Leaving? Where is your friend?” he asks, pulling you aside.
“Oh, she left with her boyfriend, but yeah I guess I’m going to head home.” you say looking at the logo on the chest of his t-shirt. Your eyes flick up to his.
“Well, before you go, do you want to go get a drink with me?” he asks.
You think for a second…”Okay, just one, it's a long drive back.”
“Okay, I have to go tell them that I’m leaving, do you want to come with me or…” he asks nervously.
“Umm… sure I guess. What is it, every time I am with you I meet a band?” you laugh.
“It seems that way doesn’t it?” he laughs, placing his hand on the small of your back leading you back inside the venue. The feel of his warm hand on you sends a radiating feeling of ease through your body.
He walks the both of you to the side of the stage and talks to security. They let you both through the door and you step into a narrow hallway. Danny pulls you by your hips to walk in front of him, pushing past other people to get to the green room.
“Jeeze, who knew rockstars had such accommodating quarters.” you joke.
“Not quite what you’d imagined, huh? Would you believe me if I told you this was nice?” he laughs back.
You both step through the door of the green room. You hang back as he walks further inside.
“Hey man, that was sick. You sounded awesome, even better than last time.” he says walking up and patting his back.
The guy flicks his eyes over to you and nods his head, you returning his hello with a smile.
“We are going to head out and get a drink. Text me when you guys are packed up, maybe we can meet up?” Danny asks.
“Yeah man, sounds good. I'll call you.” he says, as they both shake hands.
Danny makes his way back over to you, sliding his hand back to the small of your back as you exit through the side door, out into the cool late summer air.
“So where too?” he asks.
“Hmmm, you would probably know better than I would…somewhere with a good martini.” you reply.
“Ohhh, a martini girl, huh?” he asks, pondering. “I think I know of a place, just up the street.”
You walk side by side up the busy sidewalk, his hand ever so slightly brushing your fingers every odd step or so. A tingle running up your limb each time.
As you step up to the doorway, Danny quickly grabs the door handle opening it, letting you walk in first with him following after you.
The bar is more like a lounge, almost with a speakeasy type of vibe. It's low lit, and plush, it looks expensive and luxurious. You can hear jazz music playing towards the back of the building. There are a few faces you recognize from being at the show earlier and you feel like you’re in good company. As you approach the bar you quickly glance at the special cardstock menu sitting on the counter, browsing the cocktail selection just as a formality, knowing exactly what you will be having and knowing exactly what they do to you.
DANNY POV
“What would you like?” you ask her.
“A Manhattan, please.” she replies.
Oh, not just a martini girl. A Manhattan girl. She really does have good taste.
The bartender steps over to you, listening to hear your selections.
“Hey man, can we get a Manhattan and I will do a Pernicious IPA” you say flashing him a kind smile. You have been here once before with the guys, Jake wanted a “speakeasy” experience. You liked it well enough, and you know the drinks are good. Seemed like the obvious choice. Had you known exactly what was going to happen tonight, you might have planned out something better.
You study her face as you wait for your drinks and you see her blush knowing that your gaze is fixed upon her. Her cheeks turn a beautiful shade of dark pink. As the bartender places the drinks in front of you, you let him know to keep the tab open.
“Let’s go sit.” you say, letting her lead the way. You watch her as she walks, her skirt floating against her thighs like a feather.
She finds a fancy looking green velvet booth and slides into it, setting her drink on the little table in front of her. You slide in next to her and take a sip of your beer. Only a few inches of space separates you, your knees practically touching. The low lighting of the candle on the table glowing against the skin on her legs.
“You know this is not how I saw this night going…” you laugh.
“That’s funny, that's what I said the night I met you.” she replies with a smirk.
“Ahhh, that night. It was fun, a good memory.” you say, thinking of her in the video like you have every night for weeks. But here you are now, with her somehow. Right in front of you.
She grabs her drink, pressing her lips to the sharp edge of the glass, letting the amber colored martini pass her lips. It is straight up sinful to watch her swallow the liquid down. A huff of air leaving her mouth, a sure sign of the burn in her throat.
“Well, is it up to par?” you ask.
“Golf jokes, huh? Do we have that in common too? It’s delicious. Thanks for taking me here.” she replies.
You furrow your brow because there is absolutely no way that she is a golfer, too.
Right?
“Don’t tell me you know your way around the green?” you ask shocked.
She takes another sip of her martini, “Do you?” she asks coyly. A small laugh falling from her lips. You can tell the martinis are starting to affect her.
“When I have spare time I have been seen on a course or two...” you smirk, hopefully.
“Well you’ll be intrigued to find out I was captain of the girls golf team in high school if that counts for anything. We definitely didn't win nationals or anything…” she giggles at her own joke and your heart flutters.
You want to reach out and touch her, just to make sure that she’s real. Resisting the urge you take another sip of your beer.
“Oh it counts, but now I’m wondering, if you won nationals that means you are pretty good… I just might have to see for myself.” you say.
“Are you proposing a challenge, Daniel Wagner?” she asks, hearing your full name tumble from her lips sends a twitch right between your legs.
“I don't know how much of a challenge it would be, I’ve got a year or two on you. A few wins under my belt too. I think I could take ya…” you say playfully.
“I don't know Daniel, wouldn’t want you to be sad when I walk away with a better score… I’m willing to bet the only good wood in your bag is the pencil, darling.” she says flirtily, sending a rush of blood straight to your dick.
Holy shit. She is your personal wet dream.
You try to discreetly cross your legs and quip back, “Bold statement…you don’t know what kind of wood I’m swinging sugar… What’s in your bag?” you ask, intrigued to hear her answer.
“Well, when I graduated high school my parents gifted me a TaylorMade Premier set. Hasn’t failed me yet…” she says, pursing her lips together into a perfect pout.
Your dick hardens inexplicably at the mere thought of her swinging a nine iron.
“Ah, a woman with expensive taste… I like it. I am also a TaylorMade fan myself, but I do have a few Callaways floating around. Like to switch it up, you know?” you reply.
“No… I’m loyal, to a fault. Once I find something I like I…never look away.” she says sipping her martini, her sultry eyes peering into your own.
You swallow hard, “I am just really shocked, I knew you had good taste in music, but I would have never imagined you were a golfer as well. Please don't tell me you play any instruments…” you question, placing your empty beer on the table.
She turns the corner of her mouth up into a smug smile, “Fine… I won’t…”
You can tell she is playing coy, so you turn your head to her, encouraging her to continue.
“If you must know, I took 10 years of piano, and I dabbled in guitar for a bit before the whole golfing thing really took over. I would say I am better at golfing than I am at piano, but I can still hold my own when put to the test.” she says.
Ok, so basically she's your dream girl. Got it.
“Well color me impressed, you really are something.” you say, genuinely shocked.
“I was a bit of an overachiever in my youth, I just… wanted to please my parents I guess.” she says, sipping her drink. You can tell that the alcohol is helping to ease her nerves and open up a bit and you are hanging on her every word.
“Tell me about your family...” you ask.
“Well, let's see, I grew up in Ann Arbor with my parents and my older sister. My mom is a nurse and works at the hospital, and my dad is a chemist. Both of them are very smart and were at the top of their class in school, so they kind of expected that from us as well. I think that is why I chose the sports and extracurriculars that I did. They were things that only involved me and my skills. It was just me, only I could do it. I didn't have to rely on teammates, it all depended on me. Golf wasn't my first choice actually. It was between golf or swim team. I tried both, but I think after the first few days of golf lessons I kind of knew. I really fell in love with it. I knew that it was what I wanted to do, so I committed to it. The solitude, of being outside, walking the course on your own, just you and your thoughts. That little spark of excitement when hitting the ball just right, and getting the outcome you want. It wasn’t easy though, it took skill and determination and patience…all things I had to learn along the way. My friends didn't really understand though. I spent a lot of time practicing. I was always the quiet one in our friend group. Not because I had nothing to say, but it just came more naturally to me to observe and chime in when I knew my opinion mattered and would be heard. I have always kind of… shied to the back of situations. Never needed to be the center of attention. Never really wanted to be... Now that I think of it, if I hadn't stayed in the back of the crowd that day, I probably would have never met you. We wouldn't even be sitting here right now. You wouldn't be listening to me blab on and on about everything and nothing…I’m sorry. I’m talking a lot.” she says, starting to panic that maybe she has revealed too much of herself.
“Hey…” you stop her, sliding your hand over the top of her thigh, your fingers wrapping around it, resting right in the soft spot under her knee.
“I get it. I understand. You don’t have to tell me anything you don’t want to, but trust me when I say that everything that you are telling me, is making me want to know you more and more. I am completely fascinated. You are talented and smart, and damn if you aren't beautiful to boot. Like… the perfect cherry on top.” You say with a soft smile.
Her cheeks blush a deep crimson, at the compliment she’s just received.
God, she is so pretty.
“I’m going to get another drink, do you want one?” you ask her.
She bites her lip thinking about it, “Okay, maybe just one more.”
“Thatta girl.” you say, grabbing her empty glass and your empty bottle, returning them back to the bar.
You order another round and your mind is reeling as you wait.
How did this perfect woman just fall into my lap? Surely there has to be a catch?
If there is, you haven't found it yet and you are praying to god that you don't. As you walk back to the booth, you want nothing more than to spend the rest of the night into the wee hours picking her brain to know everything you can about her, but you would be lying if you said you weren't exhausted from the long day. As you see her smile, that feeling washes away, suddenly you are feeling renewed by the twinkle in her eyes.
This time as you sit down, you snake your arm behind her to rest on the back of the seat, right above her shoulders. She instinctively turns closer to your side.
She sips her drink, and a smile creeps across her lips.
“I think this one is even better than the last one.” she says, taking another sip. She is more smiley and much more talkative. The thought runs through your mind about her driving home, but you push it to the back.
“Good, it seems to have you in good spirits, no pun intended of course.” you say laughing.
She giggles next to you, so close to your ear a shiver runs through your body. The sound you have listened to in that video, countless times, not even holding a candle to the real thing.
“So now your turn…” she says, “tell me about you…” she rests her head gently on your forearm, ready to listen to you talk.
“I grew up in Frankenmuth, so, not too far away from you. We all did actually, Josh, Jake, Sam… Sam and I were best friends. We did everything together, so when his brothers started the band, naturally Sam and I found our respective places within it. I have a little sister, and my mom and dad of course. I, like you, started playing golf pretty young. Really fell in love with it quickly, I had an amazing coach, we still even go play together sometimes when I’m home. Believe it or not, drums were not my first instrument. It was a guitar. I may play the drums as my job, but the guitar will always be my safe place, my home, I guess. I'm obviously also the quiet one in my friend group, I interject when needed of course, but I usually keep to myself. It’s just better that way. You know I was excited that none of the guys wanted to go with me that day to see The Strokes after the set. No one to make annoying jokes the whole time, or talk through the songs, but then I found myself next to you. Suddenly I was the one doing the talking through the songs. It’s probably one of the more outgoing moments I have had in a while. When I talked to you that day I had no idea that it would play on a continuous loop in my mind everyday since. I just can't seem to get you out of my head.” you say with a contented sigh, slightly nervous to reveal your hand to her.
She smiles at you, and lifts her head from your arm, taking another sip of her drink.
“I have thought about it too. Also, I think I just might have your hoodie in my car. Remind me later to give it back to you.” she says.
“I told you to keep it. You look far better in it than I ever did.” you reply, your fingers grazing the back of her neck. A small, almost barely noticeable sigh leaves her lips at the feeling of your skin on hers. You continue to gently rub small circles into her neck hoping for just one more of those sinful little noises.
Her lips press to the glass once again, and you find yourself staring. Watching as her lips press down on the rim, letting the alcohol pass through. You wonder what she tastes like, and you find yourself licking your own lips at the thought.
“I think that is subjective…” she says, running her tongue across the rim of the glass and licking the small drop from the side.
“Well, I do remember you telling me a little something earlier…I guess I know your stance on the subject…” you say smugly, with a smirk.
She smirks and shrugs her shoulders just slightly before peering down into her glass, staring at the dark red cherry before flicking her eyes to yours. You can tell she is feeling the alcohol, the slight sway in her posture giving her away as she leans back into your arm.
“Do you want to see a trick?” she asks, her words slightly running together.
You raise your eyebrows in interest and nod, “Mhmm..” you hum, settling back into the booth.
She plucks the cherry from the bottom of her glass, placing it in her mouth almost painfully slow, definitely just to tease you.
She sets the empty glass on the table and closes her lips around the cherry. She sits back in the booth, crossing her arms across her chest. A concentrated look crosses her face, a slight crease between her brows as her mouth begins to move and contort into different shapes.
As you watch her lips bend and move in different directions, you feel the blood rush to your pelvis once again. Her eyes are locked on yours and you couldn’t look away if your life depended on it. You are completely transfixed on this woman. Suddenly a look of satisfaction crosses her face. The crease in her brow disappears, and a new glow lights her eyes.
She opens her lips and pushes the cherry stem to slot between her top and bottom teeth. A perfect knot.
Something snaps inside of you. Before you can even stop yourself you are leaning forward grabbing the end of the stem between your own teeth, taking it from hers. Your lips lightly brushing hers in the process. A gasp leaves her mouth at the sensation. You quickly pull the stem tightly between your two fingers, throwing it to the table as you cup her jaw in your hand, crashing your lips to hers. She leans into you deepening the kiss.
Your other hand, still resting on the back of her neck draws her in closer to you, as your lips explore every pillowy soft inch of hers. She rests her hand on your chest, and it scorches through your shirt like fire. Her tongue slides across your bottom lip asking for entrance, and you oblige letting her silky smooth tongue slide past your lips. As she whimpers into your mouth you all but melt around her. You can taste the alcohol on her tongue but more than that, the sweet taste of the cherry that was just tangled between her lips seconds before you were.
Any fight you had left in you disappeared in a matter of seconds. Right here, right now you were completely at her mercy. But you couldn’t let her know that. You pull away from her, fighting every fiber of your being in the process. Her eyes search yours at the separation.
“You taste so sweet…I knew you would…Just like cherry. A perfect cherry.” you say before pressing your lips to hers again, this time a soft barely there kiss gently grazing her now full pink lips. As you pull away this time her hand slides up to rest on your neck and she cranes her head to the side, placing her lips on the shell of your ear.
“The cherry is the best part…” she whispers as her hand slides back down the front of your body. Your back tenses as the goosebumps travel across your body.
Oh, she has you right where she wants you.
That last martini is hitting her pretty hard, and you can tell. She has completely lost all her inhibitions and she is completely gorgeous. A smile hasn’t left her face.
“One more?” she asks.
“Alright, one more…” you reply playfully.
As you stand up to walk to the bar, she stands up with you. Her hand brushes yours, almost like an invitation, so you take it. You twist your fingers into the soft skin of her palm before slotting your fingers between hers. As you step out, she stays close behind you. You walk up to the bar hand in hand, sliding her in front of you once you reach the bar top, resting your hands on her waist. The bartender asks what you would like and you order one more Manhattan, and a whiskey for yourself, knowing you will need something stronger than beer if you want to catch up with her.
You close out the tab, sliding your card to the bartender and signing the receipt. You grab your drinks and turn away from the bar. You place your hand on her back and let her walk in front of you until you reach the small stage in the back, holding a small Jazz band.
She sits at a small table just off to the side of the stage and crosses her legs, slipping her drink. You have to give it to her, she is putting away these martinis. They are definitely affecting her though, more than she would let you know.
A few couples are dancing to the slow jazz music, twirling and spinning along with the saxophone. She looks at you and raises an eyebrow. You take a gulp of your whiskey and you feel her foot gently slide up the inside of your calf and you smile at her suspiciously. You pretend to not notice as she continues and you watch the band intently. She throws back the rest of her drink and sets her glass on the table with a loud clink.
As you look at her she has the cherry resting between her teeth, and she sucks it into her mouth staring directly into your eyes. You swallow in anticipation. She rolls her tongue around the dark red fruit before chewing it up slowly and methodically. You watch as she swallows it and feel your dick twitch in your jeans.
“You really love those…. don't you, cherry…” you say with a devilish smirk. The pet name is so fitting for her at the moment.
My cherry….
Her eyes are glazed over and her cheeks are flushed. You can tell she is in absolutely no state to drive, and you kick yourself for letting her pass her limit. She is starting to get spacey and blink slowly. You feel a bit happy though, that she felt comfortable enough with you to let loose a little bit.
You reach your hand over and place it on top of hers, “Hey… are you ready to go?” you ask.
“I don’t know if I can yet…” she slurs. She is slightly swaying in her chair.
“Oh, no…there is no way you’re driving tonight.” you state, helping her stand from her chair.
“I don't…No, I–....” she tries to argue with you, and it’s sort of endearing.
“I’m staying at a hotel just up the street, you can just… stay with me. You can sleep in the bed. I will take the couch.” you say rubbing your hand over her shoulder.
You pull your phone out and call an Uber as you make your way to the front of the bar. As you step outside she turns to you. She is really drunk. Maybe that last one wasn’t a great idea.
“I can’t stay…. With you Danny. You don't… even… know me...” she strings the words together in a broken sentence.
Shit. Think.
“Okay... You don't have to stay. But just… come sit in my room until you feel like you can drive. How about that?” You ask, hoping she will agree.
She squints her eyes at you “Okay, just for a minute.”
Thank god.
The Uber pulls up and you usher her inside, following behind her. As you buckle your seat belt you feel her hand reach for yours, and you grab it, smiling as you look out the window. It's a short ride to the hotel, and right about now you are thanking yourself profusely for getting it.
About two minutes away, you feel her rest her head on your shoulder letting out a deep sigh. You find yourself suddenly wishing it were a longer ride. You trace the outlines of her fingers with your index finger, studying the shape of her fingers, feeling the rough calluses on her palms and fingers from the grip of a golf club, similar to the ones that adorn your own hands.
The car pulls up in front of the hotel, and you thank the driver, as you wait for her to slide out of the door.
You put your arm around her shoulder and walk into the front door of the building. As you get to the elevator you press the button and step inside as the doors open. Releasing your arm from around her, you search for your room key in your wallet, pulling out the shiny blue plastic.
The doors open on your floor and you can tell she is still feeling floaty and relaxed. You escort her down the hallway, placing your key to the door when you find your room. You open the door, and she saunters inside, dropping her purse on the chair by the door.
You shut the door and lock it behind you, before stepping into the bathroom to pee. You have been holding it practically all night, not wanting to take your eyes off of her for a second. Scared she might disappear.
Finally emptying your bladder, you wash your hands and return to the room. What you find is exactly what you hoped. She has passed out right in the middle of the fluffy white bed. At least now you don't have to worry about her driving. You place your phone and wallet on the dresser and turn off the overhead light, letting the room be lit only by a lamp in the corner.
You sit next to her on the bed and grab her ankle, carefully undoing the buckle on her sandal, and sliding it off her foot. You repeat with the other side, tossing the shoe to join the other on the floor.
You release her feet and they both hang off the edge of the bed, you shake your head and smile.
She had to know what was going to happen after three martinis…
You grab your bag off the floor and dig through it looking for your toiletry bag. You unzip it and search for your Advil, shaking two out and closing the lid. You grab a bottle of water off of the dresser and place it, and the two Advil on the nightstand.
You gently hook your hands under her arms and pull her upwards to rest her head on the pillows, before you slide the comforter out from under her, and up and over her body.
There, now she’s comfortable.
You grab your clothes out of your bag and throw them on the couch, while you plug in your phone charger. Plugging in your phone you see a missed call and realize you totally forgot you said you might be able to meet up.
Yikes, I will text him in the morning.
You walk back over to the couch, untying your own shoes, and kicking them off. You pull your shirt over your head before you move to unclasp your belt buckle and slide your jeans down your legs, kicking them off to meet your shoes. You walk over to the closet and look for the extra pillow and blankets, securing both under your arms before returning to the couch. You turn the lamp off and settle into the couch perfectly content knowing that the girl you haven't been able to get out of your head for weeks, is sleeping peacefully 6 feet away.
HER POV
Your eyes flick open, dry like sandpaper. Your mouth is watering and your stomach churning. Your skin is clammy and your limbs are shaking. The overwhelming urge to run to the bathroom takes over your brain. You throw the blankets off of you and swing your feet to the floor, but your surroundings are unfamiliar.
Where am I?
Your eyes search the pitch black darkness for anything remotely familiar, and you see him. Pieces of the night flooding back to you as you spot him lying on the couch.
Your feet sprint to the bathroom, flinging the door open and spilling your guts into the toilet.
Martinis…
You stopped keeping track after the second one.
Why can't I just drink vodka cranberries like everyone else?
You continue to retch into the bowl, when you feel a hand reaching out to pull the hair from your face, holding it behind you.
Danny.
His warm hand finds a place on your back and begins rubbing soothing motions up and down the length.
“You’re okay. Just get it out and you’ll feel better.” he says in a soft, sleepy voice.
You nod your head and sit there for a second to make sure you’re done. When nothing else comes you sit back onto your butt, and pull a towel from the bar above your head. Danny grabs it from you, standing up and running it under the warm water from the sink, before squatting down and handing it back to you.
As you wipe your mouth, he places his hands on your knees, which are now cold from the tile floor.
“Are you okay?” he asks, rubbing circles on the tops of your legs.
“No, I am horribly embarrassed.” you say. You go to stand up, and he grabs your arm pulling you up with him. That's when you notice that he is standing in front of you just in his boxers.
“Don’t be. The drinks were strong, you said it yourself.” he replies, his hand smoothing down the length of your arm.
“What time is it?” you ask.
He steps over to the counter and grabs his watch bringing it close to his face in the low light.
“4:34” he says, placing it back down.
“Wow, I am so sorry.” you say completely mortified.
“You have nothing to be sorry about. I will leave you alone to clean up or do whatever. Then you can go back to sleep, and you’ll feel about a hundred times better in the morning.” he says, sliding back through the bathroom door. “I will be out here.”
You walk to the sink and splash cool water on your face, and in your mouth.
I cannot believe I just threw up in front of Daniel Wagner.
You grab the complimentary mouthwash from the counter and swish it around your mouth for a few minutes in lieu of a toothbrush.
That's as good as it's going to get, I guess.
You are feeling much better now, but you are extremely tired and can think of nothing else except slipping back into that bed.
As you reenter the room, you see Danny has pulled on a pair of sweatpants and is sitting on the couch, with his hands behind his head just passing the time until you came out of the bathroom.
When he sees you step out, he sits up and gives you a sympathetic smile.
“I don't know if you… if you want, I… put a clean t-shirt on the bed for you… I just figured you might feel…” he stammers.
“Thank you, I… I do. Although if you keep giving me all your clothes you’re going to have nothing to wear, soon.” you say playfully smiling.
Even in the dark, you can see his smile beaming back at you.
“Glad to see you’re feeling better. I’ll just… turn around or close my eyes or something.” he says laughing.
You hastily slide your skirt off and pull your top over your head. You unclasp your bra and pull his t-shirt over your body. You are instantly hit with the heady aroma of him wafting from his shirt, and you know you’ll be able to fall asleep quickly. You sit down on the edge of the bed and let him know that he is fine to open his eyes. He nervously does and turns to look at you.
“Perfect, are you more comfortable now?” he asks.
“Yeah, I am. Thank you….for not letting me drive… and for letting me stay here.” you stammer on.
“It took a little bit of convincing…” he says playfully.
“I’m sure…well anyways, thank you.” you smile at him.
“You’re welcome.” he says, laying back down and trying to get comfortable on the small couch.
You snuggle back into the fluffy blankets, and can't help but watch him toss and turn on the small couch failing to get comfortable.
You toss and turn yourself, a thousand thoughts running through your head. You watch the minutes on the clock tick by and you are pretty sure that neither you nor Danny is asleep. A deep sigh leaves your lips.
“What’s wrong, cherry? You still feel bad?” his sleepy voice calls out.
Cherry...
That part of the evening flashes back to you and a warmth creeps over your body.
“I’m not sure, maybe so. I just… would you…can you come lay with me?” you ask.
“Of course.” he says, standing up, and walking to the other side of the bed. You feel it dip down as he settles himself next to you, stretching out his legs and running a hand down the length of your back. Both of you letting out a contented sigh.
You turn over under the blankets to face him, and he turns his head to you. You both just stare at each other for a few seconds before he opens his arms up, signaling for you to come closer to him.
You inch closer, spinning in his arms to be the little spoon. He wraps his arms around you and pulls you closer to him, and you can feel his heart beating rapidly in his chest against you. He is clearly feeling the same way you do. His head settles behind yours and you can feel his breath against your hair. After a few minutes, his body relaxes and you can tell he is falling asleep. You breathe in deeply the smell of him wrapped around you, and find your eyes shutting faster than anticipated lulling you into your own slumber.
The morning comes too soon, the sun pouring through the window and waking you up. Your head is pounding and you can tell that you’ll be feeling the effects of last night for the remainder of the day. You look to your left and see the Advil and water that Danny must have left out for you.
Danny. Where is he?
Noticing the light illuminating the strip of space under the bathroom door, you realize that he is still here. Moments later you hear the sink turning on and off and he comes out of the door. You sit up in the bed and try to tame the wild hair you have going on.
“Morning... How are you feeling?” he breaks the silence. You notice he stays near the door of the bathroom, keeping a generous distance from you.
“I’ve seen better days.” you laugh lightly. “Thank you for leaving me the meds and water, I needed that.”
He exhales in agreement and gives a half-hearted smile. He isn’t meeting your eyes and his demeanor is so different from the confident, sweet man you spent the night with.
Am I forgetting something that happened last night? He spent the night in bed with me, what changed?
Oh god. He’s probably so annoyed that he had to watch after me, I should never have had that last drink. I can’t believe I embarrassed myself in front of him like that.
“Hey, I’m sorry about last night. I know you didn’t sign up to take care of me, and I feel horrible for overdoing it. I’ll get my things and get out of your way, I’m sure you have a lot going on.” you say quickly. “Do you mind turning around so I can get dressed?”
“Oh, uh yeah. No problem.” his cheeks turn pink and he turns around towards the bathroom door.
I have to get out of here immediately.
You jump off the bed and put on your clothes from the night before at record speed. Grabbing your purse and slinging it over your shoulder.
“Okay, all good. Again, thanks for letting me stay last night, and I am so sorry for how the night ended. It's definitely not what I intended...” you move towards the door and grab onto the handle, looking back at him.
“No worries, I’m glad I could help.” his eyes meet yours and he offers a weak smile. “I’ll see you at the show in a few weeks then?”
After last night, I don’t know if I will ever show my face in front of him again…
“Yeah, see you then... Bye, Danny.” you say with a soft smile, turning your back to him and rushing out the door.
What the hell was that?

Song 21: Is It Over Now? by Taylor Swift (Two people requested this. There will be another one for this lol)
MACEY MCHENRY'S PRIVATE JET DEPARTS LONDON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
It was hard to say what was worse. Leaving your boyfriend in the dead of night or arriving back at your place to see the roses he'd gotten you still in their vase on your bedside table.
Macey decided it was the roses and threw her bag at them. The vase toppled to the floor taking the wilted petals of last weeks flowers down with it. A lot could happen in a week, Macey realized as she stared at the mix of roses and broken glass that now littered the floor.
She ignored the mess she'd made and simply crawled into bed, still in her clothes, and slept alone.
INSIDE LOOK AT MACEY MCHENRY'S INTIMATE COFFEE DATE AMID PRESTON WINTERS SPLIT
Honestly, Macey didn't know why she bothered with the sun hats and glasses when she went out. As if those were enough to make her not Macey McHenry. The sunglasses did at least help with all the camera flashes being sent her way. She pulled the visor in the car down immediately for added protection once she got in the car.
"Worth it?" Cammie asked from the drivers seat. She looked similar to Macey with the hat and glasses combo. Her visor was also already down.
"A girls gotta live her life," Macey said as they peeled away from the people and the cameras. "I haven't been able to get a coffee in peace since 2012."
"Cut to 300 takeout coffees later," Cammie teased, eyeing the cup in her friends hand.
Macey shrugged again. "This is my life. Think of it like a training exercise. You wanna see me? Get coffee with me?" she tapped the tinted glass of the window that separated them from the paparazzi. "They come too. I don't like it, but it is what it is."
Cammie shook her head, but a smile was still on her face. "I don't envy you," she glanced over at Macey before looking back at the road. "Have you talked to him?"
Macey scoffed. "No. Why should I?"
"I didn't say you should." Cammie tapped her fingers on the steering wheel as the idled at a red light. "But, you know, you did tell me last week you saw his face on our waiter when we had girls night."
"Yeah, after I had two margaritas the size of my head," Macey defended. "How is it my fault all men look the same?"
"He was a ginger."
"And Preston's hair is a light brown with reddish undertones."
Cammie raised her eyebrows and looked off to the side. Neither of them said anything for a moment. The next thing to break through the silence was both of their phones buzzing. Macey pulled hers out, letting Cammie drive. Sure enough, it was the group chat they were both in. Liz had sent a link to an article with a headline prominently displayed in the preview.
DETAILS EMERGE OF MACEY MCHENRY AND PRESTON WINTER'S SNOWY VACATION TURNED DARK JUST WEEKS BEFORE SPLIT
Macey groaned. "Seriously? Even in the title they acknowledge that was weeks ago. How is this news?"
Cammie shrugged one shoulder. "It'll get clicks. People are nosy." Macey grumbled to herself in response. "What," Cammie started hesitantly. "What happened out there? You never told us."
"Nothing," Macey said, arms crossed in her seat. "He had an accident while we were skiing. He stopped himself too soon and the momentum made him lurch and he got hurt," there was no masking the concern that bled into Macey's voice as she recounted the incident. "You know, red blood on white snow is kind of jarring. He was fine though. He only needed a few stitches."
There was a beat. Then, Cammie said, quietly, "That sounds scary."
Macey slunk down in her seat. "Yeah."
PRESTON WINTERS NEW GIRL? STORY BEHIND THE PICTURES OF THEIR LATE NIGHT RENDEZVOUS
Bex: I'll kill him
Bex: Also since when is he into blondes?
Cammie: Well she's got the blue eyes
Bex: I'LL KILL HIM
Liz: Already scrubbing evidence of these texts existing in case it's necessary
Macey's phone kept buzzing, but she kept ignoring it in favor of staring at the man in front of her. Her friends were halfway around the world in another time zone. They had no idea what she was doing and had no means of stopping her. And it was better that way.
Preston was sitting in the lounge chair, his chin resting in his hand as he glared at the tabloid Macey had just deposited on the coffee table. She stood across from him waiting, daring him to respond.
"Macey-," he said at last.
"Did you think I didn't see you?" She cut him off. He turned his mouth back into his hand. Clearly he hadn't known where to take the conversation. Meanwhile, she had some ideas. "Did you really think I wouldn't? Even without all the flashing lights have you forgotten who I am? Have you forgotten who my friends are?"
"I didn't think you cared," he said, turning to face her. He dropped his hand, folding them both in his lap. "You left, remember? Called me a 'lying traitor', wasn't that right?"
"Seems like it stuck with you so I guess so," she said. "If the shoe fits."
"We were broken up," Preston defended. "It was over."
"Was it?" Macey asked, incredulously. "Was it over when you laid her out on your couch?" she gestured to the furniture piece in question, in the very room they were in. Preston didn't ask who, he didn't need to. Which was perhaps the most incriminating piece of it. "Was it over when I let him take me home? Unbutton my blouse? Take me to his room?"
Preston stood up then, turning away from her.
"Because if it was over, you don't get to be upset!" She said, voice raising. But Preston didn't walk away, just stopped with his back to her. She watched him exhale, the air and tension leaving his body.
"So you admit," he started. His tone was measured, trying to reign himself in no doubt. "You did it, too. You've seen other people."
Macey probably would have rolled her eyes, maybe he thought she did. But she took advantage of him not looking at her and bit her tongue instead, trying to hold back her frustration instead of hiding it. "Of course. The difference is," she continued, venom seeping into her words, "At least I had the decency to keep my nights out of sight!"
Preston scoffed and turned back. "Yeah, right. You've been out for coffee not half a million times."
"Coffee," Macey emphasized. "I kept my nights to myself. Sure, I can't stop rumors about them, but all the whispers and speculation about my hips and sighs was just that. They weren't pictures," she grabbed the tabloid off the table and shoved it in his face. "On the front page of every paper!"
"I don't need to see pictures of you with some guy to feel hurt!" Preston yelled, knocking the paper out of her hand. The pages fluttered around the room, ending up scattered all over the floor.
"Oh, really?"
"I don't give a shit about some guys you see! That wasn't nearly as bad as the pictures and headlines of you leaving me!" He stared into her eyes, and she could see him willing himself to calm down. Or maybe his next thought took the steam out of him. "Do you know how many times I saw the picture of you in that blue dress, all alone, on that boat?"
"I'm sure," Macey said, because she was. It seemed the paparazzi had gotten one singular photo of her that day and it was everywhere. That one photo was dissected across every social media platform, every comments section, every headline.
MACEY MCHENRY SEEN LEAVING ISLAND VACATION WITH PRESTON WINTERS ALONE MERE HOURS AFTER ARRIVING
"Whose fault was that, though?" she questioned. Preston's shoulders sagged under the weight of her statement, but Macey didn't feel any sense of victory as she crossed her arms at him. "Has your new girl realized yet that she's a clone of me?"
Where someone else would defend themselves and their partner and throw out statements like, 'no she doesn't' or 'that was unintentional', Preston said nothing. Macey felt her anger flare up again. "Because it doesn't actually matter, really. The vast majority of her looks. At this point it's safe to surmise that if she'd got blue eyes, you'll date her. And, you know what, really Preston, how is that going? You've searched every models bed at this point. Did you find something greater?"
"No."
"Something better than me?"
"No!" Preston closed the minimal space that was left between them, putting them practically nose to nose. His hands were gripping her arms, tightly at first and then quickly relaxed their hold. He was staring into her eyes and Macey made the grave mistake of glancing down at his lips. One of his hands traveled up to cup her face and bring it even closer to his. He ran his thumb across her cheek to the corner of her mouth. He brushed it over her bottom lip, drawing it into somewhat of a pout.
"I keep dreaming about you," he whispered. "It's not that I keep seeing you, but I know it's you. It's your voice and your lips whispering for me to 'come here'. To come to you. And I want to. Before you called me a lying traitor. And now, after."
Macey inhaled. She saw two options in front of herself. One was give in to the magnetic pull she felt every time they were together and continue this back and forth, song and dance they did. The other was admit something herself. She wasn't sure which one would do the most damage to her.
"Twenty stitches," she said, pulling back and looking in his eyes. "That's how many stitches you got after the accident. And I was with you the whole time. You had my undivided attention." Preston was looking at her longingly, imploringly, as she spoke. "And I keep thinking about jumping. Off of very tall... somethings," she watched his eyes search hers. "Just to see you come running. To see if you would."
"I would," he said. "I'd run to you, of course I would."
"But you don't!" Macey yelled, breaking away from his hold. "I keep hoping you'd be there! And you'd say everything I want you to, but you don't!"
"You don't give me a chance!"
"We've broken up countless times! Each of those was a chance! You don't take it! I do! I always come back!"
"Well, why don't you stop leaving!"
"Why don't you make me wanna stay?" Macey's question came out at the same volume they had been arguing at. But the silence that followed made it ring as if it had been much louder. The silence itself was loud.
This was the part where they were supposed to just fall into one another, fall into Preston's bed, and give it another try for another few weeks. But he couldn't come up with anything to say in response to her. And he really looked like he wanted to say something. Macey wanted him to say anything.
But the silence stretched on.
"Was it over?" Macey asked, referencing the earlier part of their argument.
He looked at her. "Is it over now?"
