and the contrast between your personality during battle and your personality on just a regular day chilling with him and gon is like insane to him. one minute you’re covered in blood and utilizing blazing nen in ways he didn’t even realize were possible, and next you’ve pulled up like a really stupid meme or picture of a cat on your phone and just giggling like an idiot while showing him (and very much still bloodied).

killua asked you about it once and you just kinda gave him that thousand yard stare and he was just like… nvm

but back to the clumsy part. because it’s genuinely insane how careless you can be on a daily basis. worse than gon.

I take lots of similar pictures and have to go through them and compare and decide which to post. This is just a small sample of the ones I took today of the park and catalpa trees and catalpa blossoms and my garden and other sites along the way.

I don’t know why I’m like this tbh. I guess I just don’t like to miss out on beauty.

Darry

Let's start with my bbg Darry <3 he gets himself hurt a lot from roofing :( and sometimes it's bad enough that he needs to take off a few days of work

There was one time where he lifted smth wrong and pulled a muscle in his back. It hurt so bad he practically fell off the roof, so his boss sent him home (it was kinda lucky bc it was a Friday).

For the rest of the weekend, Soda took over his chores and responsibilities (cleaning the house, grocery shopping, laundry, and so on). He and Ponyboy even made Darry breakfast in bed on Saturday (and even though the eggs had wayy too many shells in them. his heart melted)

Darry's pretty self sufficient, so even when he's sick/injured he doesn't need too much help doing anything (and everyone kinda stays away from him, bc he can get pretty grumpy sometimes lol)

Sodapop

So... Soda's injuries usually come from being reckless and showing off. One day he decided that doing backflips on the ground wasn't enough... and uhh let's say after falling flat on his arm off the roof he learned that maybe it was.

Sodapop is whiny as hell when he's sick/injured 😭 (and all he wants is attention. being in pain scares him so he was GLUED to Darry the whole time in the ER)

He loves being taken care of <3 a little too much tbh. If you let him he'll ask you to do EVERYTHING "Pony can you flip the page for me 🥺🥺"

Soda also seems like the type to want everyone and their mom to sign his cast (which is fine bc everyone wrote nice things on it! (except for Dally ofc). Pony even drew a cute picture of a horse on it to cheer him up)

Soda doesn't mind being hurt/having a cast that much because it attracts girls to him even more than before (if that's even possible). But soon the DX is full of pretty girls asking "Soda what happened to your poor arm 🥺" (he'd rather die than admit it but he loves the attention <3)

Ponyboy

When Pony gets hurt man. It's over 😭 he starts panicking and his mind immediately goes to "I'm gonna die 🤯"

ABSOLUTELY hates being hurt and will get all emo about it "I don't even remember what it's like for my (insert injured part here) not to hurt 😔"

WILL not accept any help/intervention at all. One time him and Johnny were climbing an old tree and Ponyboy fell off onto his hand and broke it (it was so swollen it turned. BLUE) and almost ran away again when Darry told him they were going to the ER.

He didn't need a cast, just a brace. But he thought the x rays were pretty cool and showed em to the whole gang (greenstick fracture, if anyone's curious).

Like Soda he's needy as hell and he WILL use his injury to his advantage. "Darry it hurts so bad ☹️ can we get some ice cream??" or he'll suddenly. be unable to do his homework despite writing w/ his left hand and having his right hand be broken 🤔

Also. he gets grumpy when he's in pain (angst goes up 150%). It's very overwhelming for him and sometimes. he'll just break down sobbing.

Long post ahead ! Sorry lol Man I've deleted all social media except tumblr. I use it on my computer mostly and I've put a thirty minutes time limit, only usuable between 6pm and 11pm on my phone. That way I can still see art, pretty pictures, funny posts... But I don't spend much time on my phone. It took me SO LONG to get to this point. I had to build up so much anger towards social media, the way they are made to steal all your time and ruin your attention span, and how much of a negative impact they had in my life. I use to spend just so much time on instagram,,, The first thing I did was put a lock on it. It was sooo hard at first but eventually I started barely using it when it was unlocked for the day. I managed to start reading again. And I mean reading multiple hours a day. Sometimes the whole day when I felt really bad and couldn't leave the house. Traded my screen time for when I was like,,, in the bathroom or waiting for something etc,,, for duolingo ! Since I still had the urge to pick up my phone and duolingo takes so much energy haha Doing something that isn't really enjoyable (and is actually useful) everytime I picked up my phone eventually made it much less interesting. You will not miss out on anything ! I know how scary it is but I promise, you won't be disconnected from the world. It's really the contrary tbh. You won't be disconnected from your friends either ! Ask them to contact you through whatsapp or whatever. That was my main fear and it turned out fine, so so so so fine. There are still ways to get news, without being constantly bombarded by them. Healthy ways that your body can actually handle. For the connecting to nature more part, it's very easy in my city but I don't know what it's like in yours,,, If you can access nature easily and can walk for a while then I say go explore ! Take pictures of bugs, plants, mushrooms,,, Can you take a friend with you ? If nature isn't accessible for you, good news ! It's everywhere. You'll find plant growing through cracks on the sidewalk, birds everywhere, bugs wherever it's possible for them to live,,, You'll start noticing them quickly ! Can you identify them ? If you don't have books that can help you or field guides, there are ones in public libraries. Once you id something, read about it ! And the pure joy once you've identified something, read about it, and you see it again ! The feeling is incredibly similar to friendship ! It became familiar, it became a friend, you feel warm inside everytime you two meet. See what naturalist non profit associations are near you ! Do they offer free acitvities ? Can you join them, volunteer,,, Yesterday I participated to an activity at night where we went to a spot with a lot of bats, learned about them, and then listened to them with a batbox ! All for free. I do activities like that a few times a week and learn a lot ! Another tip is touch grass, literally. Put your fingers in the dirt, smell it eat it, go lay down under a tree, no phone allowed. Hear the wind go through it. You aren't very different from it. You're both nature, both alive, aware of your surroundings, breathing, eating, and a whole ecosystem just by yourself. Your tree can also becoma a friend. Keep plants inside if possible ! Take care of them, learn about them. If only you knew how many plants I've killed before understanding how to take care of them,,, Now I have over thirty plants,,, hard ones to keep too ! It's also extremely easy to keep pill bugs as pets and takes up very very little space. So rewarding to see them eat and multiply ! Read books about nature ! I know this can be hard,,, I don't mean just informative books ! Anything will help you feel closer to it. I love poetry for example ! Very short, impactful emotionally ! I hope my rambles will be able to help you in some way ksgfqgq I just woke up.

Now. I need to show you something else. Mom wants to make a better little house for him, but right now he lives in a paper nest in a pretty box. And he keeps his stuff with him. And I need you to see that stuff.

There is a pine cone, and a pretty little branch with some other cones, and a stick with a nice smooth texture (it's soothing and I love it). A little tree pendant, a cabochon with a bird, a picture of a faerie boy, a tiny bottle with pretty stones inside that rattle soothingly when you shake it, and a feather. I put the feather on him as a blanket when he's in his box.

I'm gonna cry. He's the cutest little creature. I love him. He's forever my favourite of mom's dolls. He deserves the world. When mom sells him, I'll legit cry even though I don't really play with him often.

Speaking of improvements, I'd like to highlight the face. I'd attach two pictures here for comparison, but there's a limit, and my head didn't think of a normal post structure, so I'll have to make do. Blyat. And I don't know what to say. Blyat😩 This art summary made me think a little bit. What is an artstyle? As for me, an artstyle - is mistakes, deformation of a human body, which helps recognize the author of certain work. No matter how many times people say: "This is not the artstyle, this is a mistake", mistakes still make an artist somewhat individual. And at this point, mistakes are made on purpose. And artstyle is always about deformation of a human body. And now it may seem like I'm trying to say "We all have to draw real human bodies with humans' eyes and nose and shit", but I'm not. My problem is I can't break the rules which I know myself. I mean, I really love discipline in works, but I don't want to be ashamed of my art.

Maybe it's just an endless art block tho.

especially if they're gods or god-like, and dream and night are demigods/divine-adjacent. like, these old, ancient figures taking in budding power. iam just so interested in how the dynamics could be played....... like, in a comparatively more lighthearted au, if it still had dream and night's conflict then it becomes two old gods supervising two new ones, not interfering because one.) it's entertaining, two.) they gotta grow themselves and all that, you know?

and like, what if dream found out later the specifics of ink's feelings on the entire thing— it'd be interesting! i'm still very much into them being friends with the same-ish/equal power within their relationship, but i have parental issues and found family dynamics are The Good Stuff

REALEST I love Errorink-adopts-Dreamtale dynamics. It's one of my favorite things to use in AUs. They're just so silly. Like they're not perfect parents but considering the fact that Nim's an absent mother (both physically and emotionally lmao), the twins don't have many complaints. The bit about Error and Ink taking in the twins like budding power or demigods reminds me of this one writing prompt, I forget where I saw it, but it was basically the villain adopting the teenage heroine after realizing the gods sent a literal child to save the world. Idk it just gives me those vibes. Kinda like "Nim, you created two babies to protect the Tree of Feelings, the literal source of ALL emotion in the Multiverse!?"

I think it could also be funny if Error and Ink just view the twins as perma-kids. Like, it doesn't matter how old the twins get, these two will always be like "You're such kids compared to us". Regardless of maturity (because tbh I always picture Nightmare being the most mature of the four, like I cannot picture Error being more mature than Nightmare). It's like an "You'll always be our babies" thing. At the same time the situation could literally just be Error and Ink seeing the twins, picking them up, and going "You're ours now"

Ink's soullessness would probably cause some issues in the dynamic, but I think they'd find a way to work around it. He takes those paints for a reason, let me have my happy found family dynamic. I have too many AUs with this dynamic to count.

so you kind of covered this when talking about how many alphas/omegas there were at hillview, but do you think you could go more in detail with the layout of the buildings or just the land in general? it would be wonderful to have a clearer picture of it while reading!

Tbh the things I want folks to focus on most - like the landscape, the beach, the vegetated sand dunes, even the names of the trees in the forests and the wildlife, get described quite a bit in Underline the Black.

As to the cottages themselves, they're being described over time as the characters experience them. So the colour of the rugs on the floor have been mentioned, the towels in Dr Gary's bathroom, the decor in his office, the material of the floor etc. Underline the Black mentions the colour of the bricks and even the actual brand of the metal used for the roofing (as well as the colour).

I don't know if I'll ever draw an actual map, but it's quite easy to search for images of the south west of Western Australia, of the places mentioned nearby in the Underline stories (Yallingup, Margaret River, Dunsborough, Donnybrook etc.) and of the trees to get an idea of what the place looks like (Karri, Jarrah). (Same with the beaches in that area). The specific reason I mention these kinds of things is so that people have keywords they can search if they want to see more specific images of the location. :)

Beyond that I don't want to go into too much detail, so that folks can come up with something that works for them, vs. something really specific.

But there's been thousands of words devoted just to describing the landscape / setting in four different Underline stories. (Both Nate and Flitmouse describe the landscape in some detail in Underline the Blue and Underline the Gold, and Faber talks a lot about the surrounding areas which you can also Google in Underline the Red). Highly recommend googling some of the places / trees / etc. already mentioned.

I started my journey 3 years ago as a measly watering boy at a local retail nursery, and now I'm the Annual House Supervisor at the biggest production greenhouse in my area. 🌿

As you can imagine, most of my expertise is in ornamental annuals, however i DO still have knowledge about everything from houseplants, tropicals, edibles/herbs, perrenials, trees & shrubs! i just dont have nearly as much knowledge and comfortablility in them as i do with annuals.

I'm always learning though, I try not to stay stagnant! While i learn some things by my own observation, i also love interrogating my coworkers about their plants in their greenhouses, and bothering my boss with questions about as much as i can think about.

I wouldn't call myself a hobbyist, as I dont really garden for fun! or really at all tbh— before i started this profession i wasnt really that interested in or good at plants! and i get enough of it at work, so why would i waste money to keep them for myself when i get to appreciate them everyday already?

I do have a few houseplants though, and i do some propogation experiments from time to time, its nothing big though! I've also been learning about native & invasive plants in my region and going out to identify them for fun. i have a lot of opinions of the moral implications of working as a commercial horticulturalist while trying to learn about invasive plants 🌿

The purpose of this blog is primarily to record my experiences and things i learn at work! But I'm hoping it can also be entertaining and possibly educational. I wont present myself as an expert though, if you have any questions about my posts or plants in general feel free to ask!! Hi, I don't use Skyrim mods but your pictures are so pretty I'm tempted tbh lol.

If possible, what environmental graphics mods do you use and also the ones for skin and eyes?

I like the vanilla look a lot, but it could use a slight tune up.

I do have a lot of mods (over 2000!) and my list requires constant updating, as I'm not sure it's 100% stable as modding Skyrim is almost a full time occupation! 🤣 However, I will list as many that might be helpful to start you with.

Because of possible mod conflicts and load orders, it might be useful to do a bit of homework on it, as some of the tools can be a little intimidating. It was to me when I first started! Here are a couple of videos that have been uploaded recently, that might help you.

OR -> If you're a little daunted by manually installing loads of mods and getting them to fit together properly, then you can always download and install a premade mod list, as some of them are very good.

For example, a lot of people use ones such as Nolvus or Eldergleam, which includes an auto installer. Some can be for high power gaming rigs or not, or if you want a vanilla-faithful list.

hiiiiii what’s giselle’s relationship with school? like first off, being raised by animals, did she still attend the local school ? orrr did they just teach her necessities and she read on her own, etc. but also like does she have a desire to pursue any kind of further education after being with robert? no shame either way, she’s clearly slaying regardless 🔥

For her upbringing, I think the animals taught her everything! I don't think she ever went to school growing up, and part of that is because I like giving her an isolated childhood where she had very limited (or really No) human interaction. It adds a bit more to her desperation for true love if she's been so depraved of that human interaction yk? idk I think I also just like to sprinkle in a bit of angst when I can 🤭

BUT ANYWAY

for her education here, I go back and forth a lot tbh! My usual answer is no, I don't think she pursued college while she was living in our world. I do, however, think she reads like crazy, about everything. Like Robert has a bunch of law books, and she's read every single one. I also headcanon he's a bit of a history nerd, and has a ton of history books which she's also read front to back. And she spends a lot of free time at the library just. Reading everything she can get her hands on.

When she didn't have her own job yet, and was by herself while Robert and Morgan were at work/school, I think she'd use that free time to just. Read, and read, and read, and also to visit museums! She'd always ask the tour guides like a million questions.

Overall I think she prefers learning on her own time rather than attending schools. I don't think she likes schedules, and deadlines, and strongly prefers the freedom of just going to the library whenever she wants to scan the shelves and find a new topic to learn about that month.

The only thing that I can see her possibly attending a class for is computers, because I headcanon she struggles with technology. She does get better with it the longer she lives here, but computers and cellphones still get her sometimes. Especially with how fast technology advances. Like, once she thinks she's mastered one thing, a new version of it comes out and she struggles all over again.

Oh, also !! I headcanon she took a pottery class for a short period of time, and would drag Robert along with her. I also headcanon she enjoys photography, and might've attended a few classes for that too, but she doesn't stick around long. Mainly because the big reason she likes taking pictures so much is because she loves scrapbooking a lot, and wants to make sure she captures as many memories as possible for Robert and Morgan, since they don't have their own Memory Trees.

Anyway, you know that line in Legally Blonde, when Callahan says "Do you think she just woke up one day and said, 'I think I'll go to law school today.'" I feel like that would be Giselle's vibe, but she doesn't actually go to the school, it's just more. "I went to the library and have decided to spend the next month learning about Ancient Greece. Next month? I think I'll learn about astronomy, and maybe the month after, I'll learn a new language. Who knows!"

Damiano - Flight. Easy. The whole Icarus motif that he is super into? This was a simple choice. Would have giant elaborate sparkly wings just to be that bitch

Victoria - I keep being drawn to super speed. It seems fitting considering she enjoys the party life and is constantly on the go for vacations and holidays even when the band isn't touring. Plus for long trips (whether for touring or travel), transportation would be a breeze.

Thomas - I feel like he would be able to control electricity. He's always reminded me of the human version of pikachu for some reason 🤭 I imagine him waving his hand like he'd be casting a spell and then lightning would just shoot out of his fingertips 😁

Ethan - Mind control. Although I don't think he'd ever use it tbh. He would think it was too dangerous and that so many bad things could happen. Until he found out that he can just make people do good things and just makes everyone be kind to one another and literally creates world peace.

THE BEATLES

John - What came to my mind was invisibility. And I feel like when he first discovers he can do it, he wouldn't like it because he can't control it that well. I see it acting up when he gets emotional, either too sad or too angry. But once he's able to manage it, he has a ton of fun with it lol

Paul - This was a tricky one, but I decided on telepathy, and my explanation is that I don't have one. He just seems like a person who would either know what you want once he got to know you well enough, or he would just wanna know what people were thinking about him specifically at all times. Somehow I think it's both.

George - Shapeshifting. I don't think I need to explain this one. But I think if he could he would've absolutely just turned into a tree and just lived that way forever. Eternal peace.

Ringo - Ability to control water. Aside from him also being a water sign, I feel like this goes with his whole peace and love mentality. Water can be calm and flowing or it can be rough and destructive. With everything he went through in life, he could've been a hateful person, but he chooses to spread kindness instead. He chose to calm the waters ❤

QUEEN

Freddie - Another tricky one, but I ultimately chose invincibility. I'll be honest, the thought came from him being untouchable in terms of rock royalty, and he would be able to accomplish anything without any difficulty. Plus he was always a very confident person who was proud of who he was and nothing could take that away from him ❤

Brian - This may sound weird (haha, get it? May? No? Just me? 😅), but super stretch. I picture him having powers like Elastigirl from The Incredibles 😁 I guess I relate it to him always being the tallest, plus his hair adding extra height. I think it would be funny if he was in another room and needed something he would just stretch his arm and get it without having to move.

John - Healing. Seems like an obvious one to me. He's such a pleasant person and seems like it's an ability he would want to have anyway. Just always making people smile and spreading happiness. Plus if anyone was injured he could just cure them instantly 😁

Roger - This was the trickiest one, but I'm gonna have to say telekinesis. Could play the drums from across the room, could drive a car while relaxing in the seat as if he were a passenger (I'd like to believe his method would be more effective than any self driving car on the market), and I think he would have a hell of a time tossing random objects at the other members to prank them without lifting a finger 🤭

Heya! Ok I get two of the mbti personalities on repeat everytime i take the quiz, either INTP (logician) or ISFJ (defender). Right now, it's ISFJ, though I'm able to speak my mind well enough. Idk what my enneagram type is. My friends have called me loyal, stubborn and strong on multiple occasions. Also that I have a "spine of iron", and I take pride in that. I like my name, but if I had to change it, it'd be Surya. The hindu god of the sun. I've always kind of taken the celestial body as an example for what I should do. To keep burning and keep shedding light, constantly. I like how you can't stare at the sun for too long. I love the moon, but the intensity of the sun speaks to me.

Now to the redacted questions : I lack appeal for Marcus tbh. Idk why, I've tried, he hasn't stuck. I'm platonically attracted to David Shaw, which apparently is an obvious guess. He's a big man in terms of capability, what with being the alpha to the most famous pack in dahlia. I don't wanna befriend him because of his power - I have this thing where I try to make friends with people who I think are better than me, people that make me uncomfortable in my own pride. I think he's capable of shaking me up because of how he handles intense responsibility alng with everything else.

Okay, you’re going to think this is just because of the Sun and Sunshine metaphors, but hear me out, I promise, I swear there’s SO many reasons I want to pair you with Elliott-!

The way you describe yourself socially, the kind of friend you are, makes me imagine you and Elliott as just the It Couple, especially at parties. Elliott also strikes me as the social chameleon type who fits in well, balancing that intro-ambivert vibe of mood making and knowing when he needs time alone with you to recharge. It’s that lovely friends to lovers image of y’all being that couple that never makes anyone feel like the third wheel because you’re so genuinely fun to be around.

I also like the bit where you mentioned surrounding yourself with impressive people you admire, because Elliott is so cool. I like this song for y’all because of the fun, “will they, won’t they”, undeniable tension vibes of it; like, the opening line is literally “I kind of want to be more than friends.” It’s perfect! I also think it’d be a fun party song for dancing, in my non-party going opinion, and Elliott strikes me as an alt/indie kind of guy, so this seems like the genre he’d like.

Runner-Ups:

I like Guy as a runner-up for you because I think he also has that restless energy and bright, sociable nature that would make y’all the absolute best party guests, However, I love Sam as a runner-up because one, “loyal, stubborn, and strong” is also how I’d describe him, Two, I am obsessed with pairing vampires with partners who radiate strong Sun energy, okay, there’s nothing like it.
