This is a little project that I worked on in the last weeks, and I finally finished it.
The Japanese dub is my favorite, but the Italian one was the one that made me discover Zexal, and I used to watch the show in Italian until the third arc.
I watched the episodes from the first two arcs in this dub many times and I'm still very attached to most of the characters' Italian voices.
This dub is very dear and nostalgic to me, so I wanted to share some Astral's clips from it on my blog.
But I didn't want to put a bunch of Italian clips here without any kind of subtitles, so I decided to do the subtitles myself. But what should have been just a few clips became all Astral's scenes in the first two episodes, and it took me more time than I anticipated.
Just a few things before you watch the video:
- I tried to do this translation more literally possible (so I apologize if some lines sound weird), but with some phrases and expressions I had to translate them in a not literal way to keep their meaning.
- The edit of the video is a little rough because I favored the audio over the video and I tried not to cut the lines too much. And since I only used Astral's clips, some transactions between scenes are not very smooth, I apologize about that.
- I hope that the subtitles are easy to read, I never did something like this and I did my best to make them readable and not too fast.
- I rewatched it several times to check it, but it's very possible that there's still some errors or/and weird phrasing, so I apologize in advance for any errors.
After all those premises, here is the finished work:

i have to say it was a crazy move on russell's part to have ruby go through her own version of turn left/the girl who waited FOUR episodes into knowing the doctor
#that's INSANE I felt so bad for her#my girl has been having a rough time of it#like she had 1 and a half cool fun adventures and even in those she was faced with a terrible monster and also covered in snot#and in the other she was almost eaten as a baby#but then these last three episodes have been like. ruby is terrorised by an eldritch drag queen and shown a devastated alternate version#of her current time where the whole world is dead. ruby almost watches the doctor die and is nearly killed. ruby is abandoned by everyone#haunted by the ghost of herself and dies alone. like she is not having a good time of it 😭😭#I hope the next episodes are a little bit lighter she deserves a good old-fashioned romp every now and then#Ruby Sunday#my post#Doctor Who#dw

#fma#fullmetal alchemist#edward elric#fma fanart#procreate#yes the arm is both incorrect and on the wrong side this was not supposed to be a fma piece it just manifested as such by the end#i didn't have a reference while drawing this i just begun with a random face and because i decided to do a mech arm halfway through it#seemed appropriate to commit even just a bit even if i was too tired at that point to do over things to make it accurate or coherent#i was sketching while watching fangs of fortune because i've learned that the trick to keep drawing is to do something else at the same tim#so you have less time to think about how much you hate what you're doing and how much you want to start over#zhao yuanzhou expresses open desire to die like every episode it's relatable#for the first part of this i was multitasking but once i got over the beginning i was locked in listening to the same song for 8h on loop#there's still something fundamentally wrong with the proportions of the face and the hands and i should learn to use sharp edges#so the result isn't monotonous and blurry but that would mean i would have to learn to use a new brush :/#maybe i should learn how to use the blend tool. after all these years#my art

its literally like some kind of abandonment issue but i can never watch the final episode of any of the transformers shows ive watched. i just cant bring myself to do it. i actually havent even seen the last THREE episodes of tfa yet. if i dont watch it it can never end. like im subconsciously convinced that when you finish a show it disappears forever and you can never see it again, which is insane. but what if

Does Disney know that one of the best friendships ever depicted on any of their television shows was that of a nerdy teenage boy and his step-uncle the redeemed former villain?
#the bromance was real. i miss their bond so much.#would literally watch a thousand more episodes of them doing basically anything together#disney xd#lab rats#leo dooley#douglas davenport#there were a million interesting dynamics on this show but i really really loved these guys#the shift from douglas not remotely caring about leo’s life#to taking it upon himself to heal his injured arm with bionics because doctors wouldn’t have been able to save it#from seeing him as a pest to respecting his intelligence and actually seeking out his help because he knew leo was his one hope#and leo in turn coming to him for help with bree’s chip because he knew he needed him#there was already such an interesting and odd level of respect there before they were even friends#then once douglas is actually part of the family again these two just seemed to click really well#always sticking up for each other and always hanging out#i loved how many plot lines they actually got together. they got paired up in a lot of eps and i get why.#there was a very natural screen chemistry where they just bounced off each other so well. and the bond just got better the more they got.#from villain and threat to friend and mentor#from nosy kid to genuinely valued nephew#they just had such an entertaining and surprisingly deep thing going on and i always cherished every minute of it#i just miss them man
