Demon Hui Ying! (+ fun facts!)
yall remember how I said that Hui Ying is technically a Celestial demon due to her being part Celestial and part demon??
Yeah well, Hui Ying got more demon traits in her full form than her Celestial parts, so imma show yall Hui Ying's demon design! (Note: outfit is still a WIP)
Anyway, here's some fun facts about the Butterfly demons (none of this is actually accurate to chinese mythos, I just thought butterflies would fit into the concept of Hui Ying's charater) as well as Hui Ying's form
Most butterfly demons are highly respected, even by mortals due to Butterflies symbolizing purity and love in China (The butterfly symbolizing is true, atleast according to google)
2. Hui Ying's wings are specially based off of Swallowtail Butterflies! Mostly because many of them have beautiful blue shades to them, and blue is Hui Ying's signature color
3. Butterfly demons are born with their wings under their skin, however when they become old enough, they do a ritual so the Butterfly demon can have a pain free sprouting of wings.
4. Hui Ying, still to this day, never fully went through a 'sprouting of wings' yet. Well, season 1-2 Hui Ying anyway.
5. Most butterfly demons powers are stored in their wings. If not in their wings fully, it's in a part of their body where they get their power from. Like how Hui Ying uses her own soul to create her lightning, the rest of the extra lightning Hui Ying gets stored in her wings.
6. Due to the Celestial realm' judgemental nature, Hui Ying learned Glamour by Tai so she wouldn't be discriminated just in case any demon traits show up.
7. Butterfly demons, funny enough, have very strong durability in their wings. This is mostly because the more you use your power from your wings, the more durable they'll become.
8. Butterfly demons usually show dominace or be intimidating by enlarging their wings so they can be taken seriously. However, this can happen if one is extremely flustered
9. All powerful butterfly demons have tattoos on them. Some are very simple, some are very extravagant. They usually appear when they hit puberty. This is how Hui Ying and Tai got their sun and moon tattoos.
Anyway, feel free to ask Hui Ying or any of my other ocs questions!

Suguru Geto Oneshot:
💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
Warnings? - Spoilers of season 2 of JJK (And the manga of that season), the ending gets a little bit spicy~⚠️
💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
Summary- As a fellow second year and close friend of Gojo and Geto's, you come back home after a mission to find you have a secret visitor...
💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
A.N: Hiya~
This was based off a dream I had, granted, I can't remeber the whole dream, so I couldn't make it as good as the dream was... However, I tried. Lmao. That, and the rest of the dream was... Anyway, umm, if you have requests for a charater, depending on who it is, or something, i'd be glad to try give you something good. Also if you want, give a scenario with your suggestion if you have one in mind. I am willing to do most types of fanfiction, though I might be a little reluctant to doing angst, but it's still on the table. Also side note, but I dislike how they animated him in the movie TvT But season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen was such a nice art styleeeee, they really drew him well. Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to read this, i'll do better next time, and i'm sorry Geto OOC, i've never written him before TvT.
Also, you both arn't togeather in this fanfic, you just have an unspoken love for one another.
Love,
Felixity_
❤️❤️❤️❤️
(~ ̄▽ ̄)~
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
P.S: I stopped writing because I got embarressed and doubt anyone would want more of this, lmfao
Oneshot:
(E/C) orbs scrunched up in a mixture of fear and distaste at the sight infront of you.
The blood wasn't what reflected in the mirth of your soul, no, it was the images of how the blood came to stain the stage. Your body wouldn't allow itself to shiver.
As a Jujutsu Sorcerer, you thought you would be prepared for something like this.
You thought you could handle witnessing a sheer, utter carnage.
The way older people talked about their experiences never lived up to the heartless reality.
It... was terrifiying.
There wasn't even words to describe the feeling, witnessing, viewing it all go down, like some kind of sick horror film starring the love of your life.
Bits and pieces of human remains decorated the room, almost as if competeing to see what could be spread out more. Blood, or flesh. The remains danced togeather, the blood giving a innate light in contrast to how it had come to splay out.
Jolting, a hand slid its way onto your shoulder. Giving soft skin a light squeeze, Geto leaned forward, chest pressing against your back as he looked down at you with a smile.
"You doing alright there, (Y/N)?" He asked warmly, looking scarily unbothered by what had gone down. His sleeves drapped over you, almost doubling as a cloak as well as covering him. He felt warm, and his breathing was heavy, yet quick, as if he were... excited.
You only knew what had happened to the laid back sorcerer from tales spun by his partner.
Off on missions of your own, you had been late to hear about the strife caused when everything changed. When he had changed.
Changed.
His whole demeanor, everything about him, it all was so different, yet the still the same.
That made it all the harder to condem him for his actions, because deep down, it was too painful, too hard to see the monster that stood infront of you.
It's like you didn't want to taint the memory of the kind hearted sorcerer.
Human minds were so fickle, overworn with emotion and lies, to the point it felt better to blatently ignore the harsh reality, rather than accept the truth.
The cruel strings of fate pulled us togeather, no matter what treasonous crimes he committed, forcing you to sway and melt at his touch as if he were some imaginary god.
Swallowing the lump forming in your throat, it's like the whole world became dark, silent.
Watery eyes gazed up at Suguru Geto, bottom lip trembling.
Running his fingers through soft (H/C) hair, he offered a soft smile in the hopes of offering what comfort he could. To add to the silence, it only made time slow, all that existed was us.
You still remembered the day you had come back home to find the man infront of you perched upon the window cill of your once locked apartment.
He couldn't resist the temptation of saying good bye to the one person he had truely loved.
This was different, this meant something more to him than just bidding farewell.
Even after his explanation, opening up on his ideals, you still told him you'd come with him.
No.
You didn't agree with his mindset. If anything, it scared you beyond words. But this is what you did for love. You left everything behind, all to stick with him.
The only thing you brought with you were the clothes on your back. That and the desperate hope that one day, perhaps, you could bring him back home.
The real Suguru Geto.
Geto stared back into your eyes with his sleepy looking features almost glowing in this massacre of a hall. The feeling of his fingers winding into your hair almost made you melt in his arms. He was so warm, so very warm and comforting.
For a mass murderer.
"Come on, let's get away from the filth" He whispered softly, delicatly running his fingers down the expanse of your arm, slipping his hand into yours while Hanako and Mimiko skipped ahead of us. His hands were big, and felt rough, a little calloused at the palms. They envelloped your much smaller ones as you walked, his heavily layered clothing brushing against you as you made your way home.
****************************************************
"(Y/N)," Geto lay on his side, head propped up by an arm. With his free hand, he gestured with a couple fingers, signalling for you to approach. Blinking, you tottered over, sitting down infront of him and crossing your legs. "Sweetheart, I'm glad you came with me."
A light blush spread across you cheeks at his words, sinking in and tugging at your heartstrings.
Sitting up, Geto hunched over, leaning forward and carressing your cheek. Forehead gently coming to rest against your own, your eyes locked uncomfortably, pulse racing.
"Why did you come?" Geto asked, cupping your cheeks as you gazed into eachothers eyes.
"Because..."
You had to think long and hard about the answer, unable to lie or look away from his magnatizing gaze. His long fluffy hair lay over his shoulder, swinging forward and brushing against your colarbone, illicting a shiver.
"......I didn't want to lose you."
He chuckled at the honesty, and yet his sharp eyes saw that it wasn't entirely the whole truth.
"I didn't want to lose you either, even if we don't agree on ideals," Geto looked past the eyes, and he stared your soul in the face, sending tremors through your body as you leaned into his touch. In a way, it pained Geto that you didn't agree. He didn't need to ask you to know that you didn't agree, he could sense it. He always had been gifted in terms of reading people, you in particular. Yet the fact you were still here anyway, and the fact the you knew you wern't strong enough to fight him was almost calming to him.
After all that he had done, you were there.
You.
You alone.
"I love you. You were one thing I didn't want to leave behind, not in a world as cruel and unforgiving as this," The bundled up man continued, carressing your cheek with this thumb, memorising the feeling of the soft plushy skin underneath. He spoke with a warmth, something deep within that made the whole day become lost in your mind as if this very moment, right here, right now, was all that would define him.
Define the man, not the murderer.
Lightly brushing a strand of hair behind your ear, he shifted his head slowely, cheek pressed against cheek as he lightly whispered in your ear, "I'm glad we can see past our differences. I would have hated myself if I had to kill off the one part of myself I need."
Eyes widening at his words, Geto lightly placed feather soft kisses along your neck, being impossibly gentle. Clutching onto the fabric of his sleeves, your head tilted back, exposing your throat to him in both a gesture of love and a sign of submission.
In that very moment, you knew.
You knew there was no changing the passionate man back, there was no bringing him back.
There was only going forward, fate sealed by eachother.
"I love you too" The soft breathy words left your mouth as the soft wet muscle of Geto's tongue ran along your throat, up to your jawline.
The words 'I love you' had never been spoken by eaither party before, only spoken in the eyes of your daily lives involving eachother.
For the time you had known eachother, the secret infactuation had only grown more and more, every moment spent togeather being the next best day of your life.
It was almost funny they had finally been spoken, given the circumstances, yet the line between friends or lovers dissapeared as your lips pressed against one another.
The way his hands had met your waist, pulling you closer, and your arms wound around his neck, hands becoming lost in his hair, it was like this was all meant to happen.
Lips hugging, his surprisingly soft lips parted, tongue slipping out to carress your lips.
Shifting about underneath him, you were gently laid down onto your back, clinging to him as the cool floor made impact with your warm skin.
Cradelling you close, a soft gasp escaped your lips at the feeling of his hands running up your waist. Seizing the oppertunity, he filled the hot wet cavern of your mouth with his tongue.
Lightly moaning against the sensation of sensative flesh meeting flesh, his tongue brushed against yours, tasteing your whole being, rubbing against the slick of your inner cheeks.

Uta No Prince Sama - Anime Review
Spoilers Included
I know there is 3 seasons and I have seen the first 2 well almost all of 2. I doubt the thoughts on each character will change much becuase I still see how each ones personality is. I will just update if anything does change and if there is new people I will add as well. This is based on the anime only I have yet to play the game its on my back log list I am sure there will be a different review for it since you get more in depth with each person.
Ichinose Tokiya
This man from the very beginning lit a fire in me. Its weird like there was something in his eyes the moment he first looked at Haruka that made you want to hold him, like he just seemed so lonely. As time goes on and he gets closer to Haruka and even becomes friends with the other guys you see a light in him that unfolds. He no longer looks so alone and hurting he finally has a away to enjoy life on top of doing what he wants most and thats to sing.
To me I feel like he is the charater that just in the first season grows so much outside of Haruka which I think is why I like them together. In the end he saved her when she was in a very bad place in her life without even knowing he had. Then now in her life she has saved him back how is that not show they were meant to be together. Plus when she looks at him and he looks at her its like they are on the same page.
So let me talk more about his character personality well first off he is hot as hell can not deny or leave that one out. Then you go on to see he is very passionate about music, about singing, and about singing Haruka's music only. He is a very loyal man and he comes of sometimes a bit quiet and reserved but once he lets you in you see a much softer side to him. I can't place him as a tsundere because he really never is truly nasty just snips here and there. I still think he is by far the best for her. I think he can take care of her like no other he shows that in just how he is with her.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ittoki Otoya
So he seemed like the cutest sweetheart from the beginning and I think not only could be a great love but also a best friend which who wouldn't want in a partner. Not sure I see the passion side of things but he definitely would take care of your heart. Also the point you find out he grew up in like a school for kids because of losing his mom early in life you really get to see how humble he is. He has a compassion for kids which would make him a great father one day. When he looks at her you can see his whole life he could offer Haruka and he would be content in making her happy everyday. His consideration in holding her hand when she needs someone and pulling her close when she is scared makes him such a great choice in love interests.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jinguji Ren
Now this man is way more than the eye can see sure he is attractive by all means and his flirtniess sets him on fire. He however is very loyal because the moment he realized he had feelings for Haruka the rest of the ladies falling all over him just didn't matter anymore. Sure he continues to flirt with her but after then he only has eyes for her. He can be quiet jealous but at the same time its how you know he is sincere and that Haruka isn't just some prize but someone actually special to him. He could bring alot of passion to her life including in the bedroom thats not hard to see.
I normally don't like men with long hair but damn he makes it work. He is very loyal to the people he holds close and he hasn't always had a easy life so when you see the layers of him unfold and you get to see he has a genuine heart its not hard to see why he is a great love interest. I love this man will flirt and make comments that is sure to make anyone blush for gods sakes he is super hot and somewhere in his mind you know he knows it but yet he is actually pretty humble about it thats what I like. The way he calls her little lamb and my lady makes you just want to melt and his voice sounds like butter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shinomiya Natsuki
The moment I saw this man I was like damn he is attractive then you get to see he is like this big kid, genuine and sweet as he can be. He loves things cute and adorable and he loves to cook even though he is horrible at it. He sees the brightness in everyone and brings his own as well. You can't look at him without smiling. I honestly think he is genuine as they come and the way he looks at Haruka you can tell he is just happy to be understood by someone and I think he could be a loyal parnter forever.
Now he does have a darker side when his glasses are off but I must say even though he is full of anger during that time he is hot as fuck. Like seriously from cute squishy Natsuki to angry possessive tsundere Natsuki and he is just too damn fine not to notice. Anyways now that I am done gushing over that back to this mans personality. Even when he is in darker mode he still had a chance to hurt Haruka and instead he chose not to this shows no matter how his mind set is he does care for her deeply. I still remember the moment he asks her to be his and tells her he loves her before I think I ever heard anyone else admit it. He warms your heart every time he smiles. He really is a ray of sunshine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cecil Aijima
I thought he would be my favorite cause he can turn into a cat and the way he looks at the world I feel like would be like a cat becomes human so he has that down right. He is cute and I love how he is so open about how he sees things and feels and he is just too cute. I don't know how great of a love interest per say he would be I mean I love cats but cats can be shady at times and lose interest in things that they once loved so whats to say that he wouldn't eventually lose interest in Haruka too. He is an adorable character and who knows as the seasons go on I might take a more liking to him I still prefer him to Syo though.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kurusu Syo
Now this man has some anger issues and jealousy routed through him. However even though he is cute you do see he has a softer side but only when its him and Haruka alone any other time he is always competing against everyone to be the only one she sees. Sadly I feel like there is such better options for her that he doesn't quiet shine out as well. I'm also not fond of the love interests that have anger issues because then its like would she always have to worry about going out with him that if someone flirted with her that its not that he wouldn't protect her but would he go over the top and beat the hell out of someone. Its good he is protective and good that when they are alone he is genuine I just feel like as his character he has alot of growing up still to do before I could see him as a life long partner.

Feb 2023
So here its is. For awhile i wanted to do a serise of blog post just about the differnert things ive watched/read/played over each month. I wanted to start in janunary, but wasnt able to due to college aswell as other things going on in my life. Most of my reviews will be wouldn't have spoilers, but if you want to hear my full thoughts on something, then just sent me an ask. Also I didn't watch much this month lol.On to it
'*•.¸♡ Flims♡¸.•*'
Plup Fiction (1994) Dir. Quentin Tarantino
I watch this movie with my dad, since it one of his favourites. And ya I liked it, I can see why this movie is considered a classic. It is good with its music choices and the cinematography. Tho as of writing this it's not a movie that sticks with me like I've seen some people describe it. It's fine, but it's more of a movie I watched both because my dad liked it and to say I've seen a classic, it rather than one I genuinely would watch if it wasn't (if any of that makes sense) 6/10, Not really my thing, but I can see why it rated so highly
Young Frankenstein (1974) Dir. Mel Brooks
I had to watch this for college. And ya it grand. I don't think I'm too into old movies, but I still want to try more. I think what I really like about this movie is Gene wilder, like even when I was younger watch Charlie and the chocolate factor and was amazed by him. Idk I just like him as a actor, I think I want to watch more of his movies. But ya, 5/10 I can very much see why it good, just didn't hit me
Love, Pamela (2023) Dir Ryan White
I am a Pamela Anderson Stan, hater dni. But ya I really like this flim, how really she feels. And like shitty people treated her and it. Idk just make me think about women in the entertainment industry and how they are treated today. But ya not much to say with rehashing the flim. 9/10 go watch
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ Shows ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Love is Blind (2020-) S3
I debated putting reality shows on this, but why not, it is something I somewhat enjoy. But ya this season, I think there was only one couple who I don't think is going have a messy divorce within a few years. Also, after the end of the 3 extra ep made me so mad HOW COULD HE!!!
Vampires in the garden (2022)
I like this. I though the anmation was really well done, and i really enjoyed the monster desgin. I also really like the relatuonship between the two main charaters and how it effected the rest of the plot. The only real down fall for the seriosu is how short it is. I feel like if they had about 3( maybe even just 2) more epoides, I feel like they could explore Momo charater more as well as some of the side charters. Thought besides the serious feeling a little rushed at points, i still really enjoyed it for what its was, just wished there was little bit more there. 7/10

Zuriel!! What are your overall thoughts about the season?? You know how much I love Lotor's character, what's your opinion of him now? This fandom has got me hella salty.
JULS! I LOVED IT
After the massacre S3 did to my heart S4 breathed life into my soul and i will forever be grateful
GODDAMN THE CAST AND CREW DO SUCH AN AMAZING JOB AT DECEIVING US ALL, I was so scared that Shiro would be on the sidelines like doing job with the rebels or something, turns out it was Keith who did that lmao, not worried he will stay like that tho, I know he will come back
And also... that new k|ance tho.... I dig it
But really, I loved Allurance this season so much
(I cannot stop my multishipper ass for the life of me)
Also female galra commaners..asdkolAOPOALÑSSÑ{sa, I’m eating my entire fist
As for Lotor......... i still love him, but I also want to punch him in the face and also ask him, what’s wrong buddy? my heart is so confused and sad, because I really thought Lotor saw his generals as people close to him (i still do tho), but then he kills Narti without hesitation, _( :’
When he is searching for a possible bug that Haggar planted on his ship and he says “you think you can fool me, witch?” and then Haggar is seeing throught (?) Narti.... and i was just :’) she did... she fooled you, and that makes him kill Narti and I was clutching my heart while laughing to try and hide my pain, Haggar fooled you so damn good Lotor _( :’T 」∠)_
I’m still so hella confused as to how he got to that conclusion tho.... because... he obviously knows about Narti’s abilities, and I want to guess he also knows about what Haggar is capable of.... so he just assumes Haggar is seeing him trough Narti, I don’t know if he guesses she was spying? on him? But was she? ugh.... people say it was through Kova, but then why when Narti was murdered the link dissapeared? Couldn’t Haggar just see through Kova just like Narti could? Did she really need Narti as a medium and that is why Lotor didn’t just kill the cat instead? Or was Narti indeed a spy? asdkasdalkdsñsdñpad so many questions (that goddamn cat was the reason Sven in 80′s voltron was murdered and if that goddamn cat is also the reason Narti was murdered I’m going to fucking fist fight him myself)
...and Narti obviously saw Lotor’s attack coming but she didn’t try to defend herself, maybe not believing Lotor would do such a thing? ......hello darkness my old friend......
Maybe it was my fault for expecting a walk in the park with Lotor and his generals because they were introduced like a well managed team not like team Voltron where they were still trying to figure out who fitted where, but the thing that stung for me was the fact that Lotor and his generals went separate ways.... if you don’t trust the people around you then you always have your guard up, but Lotor isn’t on a defensive position when Acxa shoots him, I really thought Acxa was going to talk to him, and the surprised expression he did... woah hello darkness my old friend (again) And then he doesn’t try to battle them when he takes control of the ship, he just leaves them saying “i understand Zethrid, you do what you must” like i don’t know he acknowledges he fucked up? but he doesn’t want to fight them, or maybe it’s just because they are 3 and he is alone, but the goddamn expression he has while he is navigating alone on his ship.... I don’t know Juls, I wanted my evil group sticking together, I want them to stick together
And I guess S5 will be, the enemy of my enemy is my friend, so he will try to have a truce with Voltron to take down Zarkon?
I just want to know if he is gonna be again with his generels damn
#sorry for keeping you waiting i haven't been on tumblr much today#since i wasn't productive at all yesterday#because i was watching the new season lmao#i have more thoughts about this season and the rest of the charaters#but i will make posts about those later on#this already got too long#i hope not a lot of discourse finds your way juls!#lijau

Wumpmas in July: Day 12
Well hello there! Sorry for my absence, I was away on a little vacation. More like summer camp with kids aged 7 and 8, I was one of the "animators" (I don't know a better translation for the word than this, basically I am trying to give the kids a good time there). But here we are again and ready to keep going with whumpmas in July!
This one is a bit shorter. Ethan and Thomas are two of my own charaters. I use them to write my stories.
Prompt: warmth
A short walk, Thomas had said. Ethan should have known that "short" was an understatement. Thomas is a seasoned walker, Ethan is not. The biggest walk he takes every working day is the 500m walk to the bus stop and back. He was not prepared for Thomas' 25km walk. Not to say he wasn't athletic. He did run once a week and went for the occasional swim, but that was it.
He didn't feel like going either, he had been feeling a bit flu-ridden all week, but he had promised to go with him. So this morning they left together. They were halfway there, had just rested for half an hour and then set off again. "Come on, keep up the pace a bit," Thomas said, laughing and looking back at his smartphone to see if they were still on the right track. He was slightly ahead of Ethan.
"Yes, I'm coming," said Ethan, but actually he just wanted to lie down in the soft grass and sleep. There seemed to be someone knocking on his head with a hammer, his nose was running and he also felt a bit warm even though it felt like he was freezing. We're halfway there, it can't get any worse, he thought to himself. He took another sip of his waterbottle and tried to catch up with his friend.
After about 5 hours of walking and two 30-minute breaks, they were back at the car. "Well, that was a good walk! We can go again next we..." Thomas stopped talking when he saw his friend. Ethan was looking very pale, his cheeks were flushed and he was looking vaguely in front of him. He leaned against the car to keep himself upright. "Are you all right?" Thomas asked worried, and rushed over to his walking companion. He put his hand on his forehead and felt the unsettling heat. "I'm so cold," said Ethan with chattering teeth. Thomas looked at him with concern, his mind racing with questions. Had he been like this the whole walk? He couldn't remember looking like that this morning or during the walk. He had to admit that Thomas was a bit quiet and also a bit behind, but he hadn't questioned that too much. Should he have paid more attention?
"E, I'm going to take you home ok?" he helped his friend into the back seat and took a blanket he had in the trunk and tucked him in. "Mhm, it's so soft," Ethan said as he hold the blanket. Thomas closed the door and crawled behind the wheel. Fortunately, Ethan's house wasn't that far away, but even so, he had fallen asleep on the back seat. Once they arrived, Thomas quietly woke him up, helped him get inside and set him down on the sofa. "Hey buddy, first I'm going to see what your temperature is. Do you have a thermometer here?" Ethan looked at him with glassy eyes, "Uhm, I think in the first aid kit in the bathroom. Can I lie down for a while?" "No stay upright for a while," Thomas said and draped a blanket over his friend's shoulders. "I'll be right back."
He quickly found the first aid kit and some painkillers. He went back to Ethan, who was still staring hazily ahead, and stuck the thermometer under his tongue. After 10 seconds the thing beeped: 39.6° C, solid fever. Ok clothes off, put on something comfortable and give him something against the fever. Thomas tapped Ethan on his shoulder, his friend looked at him a bit confused. "E, we're going to get you in something more comfortable ok? I know you're cold but I'm going to help you change your clothes," he said in a soft voice. Ethan shook his head violently. "No I'm so cold, I don't want to change," the fevered boy said back with tears in his eyes. "Hey hey, it'll be over soon I promise. Where can I find your clothes?"
After some convincing, a incoherent explanation and some searching he had found everything. He helped Ethan out of his clothes and put on a t-shirt and some training trousers. He gave him a painkiller and some water, after his friend had taken these he helped him to his room where he tucked him in. The fevered boy nestled into his sheet. "Yes, this is nice and warm," he said with a small smile on his face. It wasn't long before he dozed off, Thomas sitting down on the other part of the bed next to him. I am not leaving until he is better, maybe later I can bring him some tea and toast, Thomas thought.
A few hours later Ethan woke up for a moment, his head was fluffy but he felt warmth and something- no someone next to him. He turned his head and saw the blond-haired boy lying next to him with his arm over him. Thomas' breathing was deep and calm. Ethan crept a little closer to him and took in all the warmth. With a small smile on his face, he fell back asleep.

2020 mini-review pack
Di Gi Charat (1999)
Episodes watched: 7
Platform: VRV (Hidive)
Di Gi Charat (pronounced like “carrot”) is a series of fast-paced 4-ish-minute shorts nominally about Dejiko and Rabi-en-Rose, rivals trying to be Earth’s greatest idol. Who are, respectively, a catgirl and a bunnygirl. Oh, and also they’re aliens? That’s... uh... certainly a premise, I guess. The actual show consists of self-contained gag-filled episodes with no ongoing story, in almost a sitcom kind of way, throwing the characters into situations without context, but with a stable “baseline” situation (unlike, say, Pop Team Epic, where the characters serve more as stock personalities playing different roles in different sketches). Dejiko is a snarky schemer. Rabi-en-Rose is a snarky schemer whose main activity seems to be bothering Dejiko at work. Puchiko is a small and quiet child and behaves accordingly. And Gema is... something? I have no clue, honestly, and neither does the fan wiki. Other recurring characters fill stock roles such as “manager” and “otaku”. A lot of the humor centers around poking fun at fandom. It’s a show by, for, and about otaku from an era before our current internet culture, and since I’m a millennial and not from Japan, that makes it unusually hard to evaluate.
W/A/S: 8/2?/5?
Weeb: Chibis. Catgirls. Idols. Kappas. Kawaii verbal tics. Akihabara. Low-detail background characters who look like blobs or thumbs with faces. Kanji left on-screen but untranslated. Particular sorts of highly-exaggerated facial expressions we may have become familiar with through emoji, but which still haven’t made their way into American media generally. This is ludicrously Japanese.
Ass: This really isn't that kind of show. Although it is certainly designed for adults, as evidenced by the presence of phrases like “naughty doujinshi”.
Shit: The art is fun. It has style shifts from comic strip to watercolor painting to mainstream 90s anime, and looks better than some of its contemporaries that were, uh, “real” shows. The opening takes up about a quarter of the total runtime and gets annoying quickly (but that's because it’s clearly designed for being part of a broadcast block, not binge-watching). Still, unless I’m missing hidden cleverness on account of not having the background knowledge, there’s not much to it. It’s just okay.

First Astronomical Velocity (band, active 2011-present)
Platform: Spotify, surprisingly
Okay, this one is a bit different, and I’m jettisoning the whole format for it. Remember how I said the music-centered episodes of SoniAni were actually pretty good, even though the modeling-centered episodes were so offputting I never finished the show? Well it turns out that First Astronomical Velocity, Sonico’s band, has released several IRL albums. Physical copies may be a little hard to come by, but official uploads of a lot of their music can be found on Youtube and Spotify. Do your musical interests include at least two of: string arrangements that would be at home in a particularly sappy movie soundtrack, 90s-00s alternative rock, synthesizer beep-boops, and that constricted cutesy Japanese women’s vocal style (you know the one I mean)? Then this is for you. They’re a pretty good... uh... alt-pop-rock band, I guess is what I’d call them.

Interspecies Reviewers (2020)
Episodes watched: the entire 12-episode season
Platform: I plead the 5th. But it’s getting a video release soon, so it will finally be legitimately available in English!
I started this year with a plot-light fanservicey animal-people show, and now I’m ending the year with... a plot-light fanservicey animal-people show. But unlike Nekopara, this show had me cracking up, eagerly clicking “next episode”, and not complaining about the premise. I’m sure a lot of people do have a problem with this show’s premise -- which centers almost entirely on various forms of sex work -- and I understand and respect that they will want to skip this show.
But for the rest of you: Interspecies Reviewers is a wildly-NSFW comedy about a group of fantasy world adventurers who gain fame and fortune reviewing brothels of different species. I expected excessive nudity and fantasy tropes, but I didn’t expect to also get serious thoughts. Like showing, in the golem and Magic Metropolis episodes, some of the unsettling problems that are looming IRL as deepfakes and sex robots are in development -- note especially the contrast between consensually and non-consensually basing automata on real people in those episodes. Or the discussion in the last episode of how much riskier sex would be in a world without magic (i.e., ours). This is a much smarter and more interesting show than you’d expect, considering that it has so much sexual content that it got dropped by two of the networks airing it and even its US distributor.
W/A/S: 5/10/4
Weeb: Although heavily influenced by the Western fantasy media canon of European mythology and Tolkien and tabletop RPGs, familiarity with the tropes of fantasy anime will help you “get” this too, as will familiarity with the -sigh- character dynamics and censorship practices of hentai. Especially because it’s a comedy, there are probably also instances where I have completely missed topical references or wordplay that a Japanese person would get, but I can’t think of any specific instances right now of “there was clearly supposed to be a joke but I missed it”.
Ass: Look, this could not possibly have more sexual content without unambiguously becoming porn. Genitals are (almost) always carefully hidden by viewing angle or conveniently-placed glowing (something lampshaded in one episode as an actual feature of one of the species they review), but otherwise, expect lots of nudity and almost nonstop crude humor. Do not watch this with children. Do not watch this with your parents. Do not watch this with friends you don’t know well enough to know how they’ll react to something like this.
Shit: This show is better-made than it deserves to be. It’s pretty dumb at points, but it’s fun enough to make up for it. The art is consistent and pleasant, and the opening and ending themes are extremely fun, but it’s not a serious standout in any of those departments. Also, I swear the background music is stock music, but I don’t remember what other show(s) I’ve heard it in before.
Stray thought: Crim is a precious and relatable cinnamon roll and I love them.

OreSuki OVA (2020)
Platform: Crunchyroll
So, I know I didn’t cover the whole season in my initial review, but I still want to mention the hour-ish-long finale of this show, which was released straight to streaming. Short version of the rest of the season: Joro starts to actually fall for Pansy, but a new challenger, Hose, appears. He is irritatingly attractive and effortless at maintaining the right persona for the situation, leading Joro to describe him as “the main character”. Hose is the sociopathic manipulator Joro wishes he could be, and Pansy, who has a bad past with him, clearly wants nothing more than for Joro to stand up to him. But, since this is OreSuki, it’s not going to be handled simply. No, instead, strap in for a grand finale of Joro and Hose competing in, and trying to manipulate through rules-lawyering, an absolutely ludicrous competition to win the right to date Pansy. And, on top of it, we also get to finally see how Sun-chan got to be the way he is and what happened at that pivotal baseball game that set off the whole plot. What has Joro learned from the experiences of the past season? You’ll see! And you’ll facepalm about it!
Really, you must watch this if you watched the regular season.
W/A/S: 6/5(!)/4ish
Weeb: Basically the same as I said before. Gags referencing other Japanese media, anime and otherwise, and it's better if you’re familiar with the high school romcoms and harem comedies Joro thinks in terms of.
Ass (and slight content note): -sigh- Why does the camera need to be there? Also, Joro, you just committed a little bit of sexual assault for the sake of this contest. Stop.
Shit: I want to rate this overall better than I did the regular season because I think it’s an excellent finale overall because, even though it ends in a very “let’s leave everything unresolved” way that’s common in media that rely on absurd relationships to propel the plot, it does so in a way that makes sense in character. I personally think it would’ve been stronger if it had, well, confirmed its title, and at least some of the other “challengers” had lost interest in Joro, but I guess they probably want a Season 2, since they have so much more source material to work from. There are... oh god 14 light novels?! That is too many.

Your Name. (2016)
Platform: DVD
Two high schoolers -- small-town girl Mitsuha, from Itomori, and big-city boy Taki, from Tokyo -- find themselves in each other’s bodies for a day. They both think at first it must be a very vivid dream, but when it happens again, and they start finding clues like notes they don’t remember writing and comments by friends and relatives about their out-of-character behavior, they realize the body swap is real. This begins a relationship of mutual understanding that nobody else can really understand -- or would even believe (except Mitsuha’s grandmother, who is... familiar with this phenomenon) -- and the plot then pivots to a tense adventure where they use their connection, some crucial information Taki has, the skills of Mitsuha’s friends, and the intervention of Itomori’s patron deity, to save the town from an impending disaster.
And that’s all I’ll say about that, because I really do think this is something you should go into blind. My only remaining comments are that (1) the red string of fate is critically important imagery, and is particularly interesting to me here because, if I took a particular scene correctly, Mitsuha made her own red string of fate from sheer necessity, which is a very different twist on that trope, and (2) I am now curious about the history of the body-swapping phenomenon in-universe.
W/A/S: 4?/2/2
Weeb: As mentioned above, symbolism of the Red String of Fate shows up throughout the movie, as do the occasional distinctly Japanese quirk like a wildly out-of-place vending machine or a café with dogs, and but for the most part it’s a cross-cultural story of understanding and dealing with someone else’s life, and of forming a connection other people don’t -- can’t -- truly understand, and to some extent of divides between urban and rural and modern and traditional that I think could play out in any country with just the local symbolism tweaked. The significance and content of Shinto beliefs and practices depicted, particularly kuchikamizake, are made pretty explicit, so although foreign to the vast majority of the non-Japanese audience, I feel like this movie also has nearly no barrier to entry for people not familiar with the cultural context, so I don’t want to rate it very high on this scale.
Ass: Look. It involves teenagers switching bodies. What do you think they do? Especially Taki? But it’s played for laughs, not titillation.
Shit: This movie is beautiful and punched me in the feels and was very satisfying. The closest I have to a complaint about any aspect of it is that the musical breaks that I guess are supposed to mark acts of the movie almost make it feel like binge-watching a short series instead of watching a single self-contained movie.

Riverdale Rant below
Okay, this will not be common and I’ll only be doing this when I feel the need to. Is that all clear? Yes, okay good.
.
Archie Goddamn fucking Andrews is the most mentally fucked up charater to ever see the light of day. I am not criticising KJ Apa’s acting, I’m aplording it more actually. He plays Archie to such an extreme that Archie seems almost real.
Back to how messed up Archie is. Archie has been through more traumatic experiences in one year then most people have and or will in there entire lifetime. This episode that came recently, episode ten of season three, has really shown us that.
The way he acted at the SATs’ as well at th speakeasy is perfectly normal things for someone with a mental problem to do. Archie mental problem is obviously PTSD. Of course this is not a attack or anything on real life persons with PTSD but this is the closest thing to what Archie has.
Not only has Archie seen his Father and many friends around him get shot and stalked by a man he knew his whole life but he’s had the stress of an relationship in his mind. It is not a requirement to have a boyfriend or girlfriend in high school and this and many other shows are saying it is. The stress he’s had to kept Veronica happy and make her his priority is obviously way too much for him especially when he loves Veronica more then she loves him.
Now Archie has also been attacked by a bear and he has to remember it for the rest of his life with the scar on his chest. I know the scar will last because when I was two years old I was bitten on the lip by a dog and I’m now in high school and it’s still there. I’m lucky enough to not have any memory of the incident because I was too young but Archie is old enough to remember and that would be awful, a terrifying event haunting you.
So after all that, he’s still to act fine. Veronica still treats him the same way, accusing him of shooting her dad none the less. Jughead is also not innocent because of the way he acted towards Archie at the start of the last east episode, commenting on his looks after his experiences isn’t good. I get comments all the time about the scar on my lip and it makes me feel inscure so I can only just imagine what Archie is going through.
Betty keeps talking about the past and that probably isn’t the best thing for Archie. After episode nine where he had to face his fears and look back on moments he regretted and then beating himself to death with a bat, the past probably isn’t something he would want to think about.
Obviously Veronica, Jughead, Reggie And Betty aren’t expected to know all of what’s happened to Archie but after the event of season two they should understand he is not the same boy he was in season one. And while I’m talking about season one, he was being groomed and molestered by the predator, Ms. Grundy. That would effect anyone’s mental stability.
As Jughead said, the haunted look in his eyes, that is not something a sixteen/seventeen year old boy should be described as. They are all overlooking what’s happened to him and his past. They are treating him the same way they were in season two, like shit. And that’s both the charaters and the writers I’m talking about there.
I’ve seen a few stills from the upcoming episode and it looks as if Archie does something bad to himself. Either drugs or alcohol and that’s not a topic they can beat around the bush with because it is a serious problem in a lot of well-established countries like America. All I hope is that the writers don’t ignore Archie and his mental state, pushing it off to the side will make a large amount of the fandom angry. Mental illness is not something to joke about and with the way they handled Cheryl and her suicide attempt at the end of season one was horrific. If they do the same to Archie I will actually complain to the writers of Riverdale until they fix their mistakes.
.
Wow that was long. I think I might write another rant about my opinion on Bughead and Betty and Jughead as individuals. I hope you guys enjoyed my thought on this serious topic on this show, tell me if I should do it more offen.

So, I guess now is the time to give my overall thoughts on VLD. Let me start by saying I don’t ‘completely’ hate season 8. There were good parts of the season, just like there were bad parts. I’m going to talk about ships, characters, and some general thoughts on the show.
Just to be clear in advance I’m not a fan of Allurance. I will have a section on the ship so you’ve been warned. Also I am a multishipper so there will be many ships. The rest is under a readmore.
Okay, so starting with Allurance cause it’s the most improtant canon wise. I don’t ship it, and the show won’t make me. I do not think these two would have ever truly been good for each other. They were to different. However I must comend the show for having a couple main characters get together and showing a relationship before the last episode. This is very rare in kids shows. I guess I just wish it was a couple with better chemistry.
Next lets talk about Adashi/shadam/canon Shiro thing. I get that they killed Adam, but I wish we had a named partner for Shiro. Who was that guy, why did Shiro like him, and why don’t we know him? We should know the person Shiro got together with, at least by name. Maybe it’s Kinkade, but he looks to old.
Now, none canon ships. Klance still feels like it it would have been a good ship if given the chance. These two actually have good chemistry if I’m honest. That’s why this ship took off like it did. Though I’ll get hate for it Sheith deserves the same recognition. Actual good chemistry between them. Honestly Plance belongs in the same place. Characters who have good chemistry and may have worked better. Honestly of all the VLD ships I’ve seen I’ve liked more than Allurance. Including Heith ans Jaith.
Moving on from shipping there are things to talk about with charaters. All of the main characters were well developed until the last episode. Of course that messed up one of them, so let’s talk.
Turning Lance into an Altean doesn’t work for his character. He’s from Earth, Earth is incredibly important to him. He was the most homesick of all the paladins and of all of them it was most important he found his way home to Earth. Taking that away is destroying a huge part of his character. Are we just supposed to replace all that with him being homesick for Altea? Cause I can’t.
Next let’s talk about something better. Keith’s ending was really good. He doesn’t want to be a diplomat but he’s living with a family now. Allura grew massively throughout the show and her story led up perfectly to her ending. Shiro’s is great to, and Hunk’s. So many of the endings were good and perfect for the characters. Not sure why Lance got short staffed like that, but it will forever disappoint me.
Okay, a few general thoughts. Maybe this show needed fewer episodes. It started so strong, the first seasons were undoubtedly the best and later they started to slip. I’ve seen people saying the writers ruined Voltron for generations and that’s just not true. Voltron will be back, there will be another reboot one day, and I would be more than happy to see it take insperation from VLD.
I loved so many episodes of this show. It was fun from start to finish even if the ending wasn’t as strong. There are disappointments, but it was fun to watch. The charaters could be interesting and the story was over all interesting.
Honestly I find Season 7 to have been the weakest. They talked about how they wanted to show what war was, but it was far from realistic. I hated the commander lady in this season. People wouldn’t have wanted to follow that woman, not after all her missteps leading up to and during the Galra invasion. All she did was make the worst possible choice in all but one situation. If the whole Earth had known about the danger, they could have defended more than one base. If she hadn’t gone to the Galra they could have saved the Earth much easier. She was insufferably stupid and they keep pushing it on me that I should feel for the fact her stupidity got her killed (yes she gave her life to save the paladins, but they wouldn’t have been there if not for her). This was the only character I had no intrest in.
