I know that the early, non-Diasomnia stories aren't really your thing, but are you reading the novels at all?

I have been following some of the fan translations and the second book seems intense! Would love to hear what you think about them.

thank you! 💚💚💚 I'm not really sure why you think I don't like the earlier arcs though, I love pretty much all the characters and their storis! (I think 5 and 1 are my favorite of the past episodes, though 6 infected me with the Shroud brainrot something fierce.) I just...ESPECIALLY love diasomnia. :') but there is room in my heart for all of these dweebs! like, who among us is not just as ride-or-die for Adeuce as they are for us.

that said, I don't really follow the other adaptations like the manga (aside from a dip-in just to see the new Yuus) or the novels, though I keep meaning to check them out! I do like seeing the differences between the different forms of media, and how certain things get adapted one way or another! but alas, time/a lack of accessibility stands in our way more often than not. :( someday...someday I will have time to consume all of the media...

Made The Metropolis dog from Hawkgirl #4 (2023) I genuinely cannot even describe the taste of this creation besides surprisingly good. The sweetness of the peaches work well against the sour and savory sauerkraut and chili, the fries give it good texture and the warm egg yolk and sriracha is such a fun finishing touch. The most bizarre addition was the peaches, the rest being pretty common hotdog toppings, and it was really quite the delightfully fun meal!

This food creation was inspired by @breannasfluff !

david, the host's husband, is a business... man? owner? man.

i've speculated in the past that david might be involved in bankrolling the in-universe show as an explanation for why the host and his daughter bianca are working on the same project despite their antagonism. this is further supported by bianca's rapid ascent from pa to producer between seasons -- maybe she's just a nepo baby.

one confirmed corporate financial interest in the vip show is the brand "chompsky's potato chips", which is their sole advertiser.

ad copies for chompsky's talk a lot about "daddies", for whatever reason.

the host has a social and financial directive to pretend they like the damn potato chips and to mime consuming them happily. in the same episode in which they learn their husband is cheating on them, they drop the act for the first time. there's a metaphor to be made here.
