movie!sonadow is so fucking good because their dynamic is fresh and new but still familiar and shadow is that cool which gives room for post sonic 3 (pre sonic 4) with sonic crushing hard on the new hedgehog and his name is SHADOW he's the cool guy with a bad boy persona that's actually a softie underneath and rocks those red gay highlights and he rides a motorcycle and akira slides off a goddamn building and can teleport and he sounds like KEANU GODDAMN REEVES

I literally love nuanced terrible dynamics that are doomed to be misunderstood by everyone on earth I love scenes that succeed in making the audience wildly uncomfortable I love when an ugly thing is allowed to be ugly I love plot decisions that evoke strong reactions in a way that isn't as "artful" but serves the overall narrative better than if it was subtle. and perhaps most of all I love bludgeoning the audience over the head with a 2 by 4. and then giving them a snack break and doing it again

Whumpee takes slow sips of the water, a small satisfied sound escaping them. They flutter their eyes open just enough to see Caretakee's face, creased in concern.

"Hey, kiddo," he whispers, forcing a smile. Whumpee manages a weak smile back. They've never been more thankful for a drink of water, but words of gratitude are eluding them.

Instead, they let out a content sigh, and let Caretaker lay them back down.
