#why even let us get tips if no matter what it always boils down to making exactly minimum wage#i hate the whole. lower hourly and just make it back up with tips. thats so. ugh. it feels a little weird seeing people tip us#cuz it never matters. people tip me they put cash in the jar while i work register but i never break minimum wage#it technically goes to me but it means nothing it adds nothing they just lower hourly and use tips to make up the difference#it just kinda feels like. im almost being lied to? getting my hopes up? abt how sales and tips miiiight boost pay#and it never does. i can work the busiest shift of my life with customers frequently tipping and a high sales number and it doesnt matter#i think ive seen tips actually impact my final pay number only a very small number of times. i hate how it works it feels so wrong
