I use standard earbuds, not noise-cancelling ones. I wear them almost all the time. I usually only have one earbud in with music playing so I can still hear the environment around me (I'm usually with other people so I want to be able to hear them). I wouldn't cope very well without them.

I don't think my music interferes with my ability to take in information, I'm pretty good at listening + keeping track of conversations.

I put in both my earbuds when I want/need to zone out. It helps a lot when I'm feeling overwhelmed.

I personally prefer headphones, though I have earplugs (Loop Engage and Quiet). I use the engage in situations where I still need to talk but it's still loud, but they are kind of annoying because they increase the volume of my voice in my head lol (still better than absolutely nothing though). I use the Quiets either under my headphones for extra noise reduction or instead of my headphones when I can't wear them for whatever reason. I have the Sony 1000-Xm4 headphones which I highly recommend, though they're really expensive so if you want to get them I recommend waiting for them to go on sale like I did.

Good god SOMEONE GETS IT!!! I also hate having to remember to charge or put batteries in headphones. I want to listen to things at any given moment. I don’t wanna wait for things to charge.

List of other wired headphones plus sides-

- I cannot count how many times wired headphones have saved my phone from completely falling on the floor, and making it more shattered it is

- It helps me remember my phone since I am physically tethered to it and cant just get up from somewhere and leave it without noticing

- If you have a detachable aux cord for your phone you can connect your phone to a car without having to wait for bluetooth to load

- or you can connect your headphones to a computer without having to wait for the bluetooth options to load.

- i have personally found the audio quality of wired headphones to be better than bluetooth headphones or earbuds

- headphones in general are just more comfortable than earbuds ill die on that goddamn hill. (You also don’t have to clean earwax/skin oils off of them just sayin)

- the wired headphones I currently use have outlived every bluetooth headphone I’ve used by a few years and I’ve only had to replace the wire.

- a headphone’s wire is basically just a built in fidget toy.

The only downside I can think of for wired headphones is that they get annoying to wear if you’re running or exercising, or just generally doing something that requires a lot of movement, but I’ve adapted by just putting the cord over my shoulder and through the belt loops of my pants.

Here's something that I got for my year.

I got myself a bunch of high tech items like Bluetooth JVC Earbuds since my mom uses those a lot every time she worked out. And I haven't used Earbuds in like forever since I used to use them back in 2017 or 2018, but then I got a rubber thing stuck in my ear and now I decided not to use them again and stuck with using Bluetooth headphones. And it's nice I might give the earbuds another chance. And speaking of headphones, I also got Super bass brand Wireless headphones which uses Memory card support and folds up. At least I can use headphones and earbuds like if I were to use these for anytime something is up like if my batteries are dying and wanted to be charged, I can use the other one. It'll make things a lot easier. Next I got Bluey stickers which I can use for anything I can place them on just like with my hydro water bottle. And I got myself an iPad which is the first time I got my own Apple Brand device since my family always uses Apple Brand stuff like iPhones and uses Facetime a lot. And not only I got an iPad, I also got this apple stylus which it can work with anytime I want to draw, which makes things a hell of a lot easier for me next time I want to draw something besides my Switch. And I also got a Persona 5 theme stand case which I can use for my iPad and that might come handy if I want to watch anything good or anytime I want to draw or do something with it or play a game.

Next I got myself a GameStop Gift card that has 22 bucks in it which I got from my friend from Social Club and thanks to him, I can combine my GameStop Gift Card I won from the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that I completed a few months ago. Despite the fact that it is fun finishing 2nd. I place 2nd place a lot every time I play Mario Kart. And finally I got Zelda Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch. I always wanted to get this game since I know Nintendo wanted to set this game at a higher price just once. But I'm sure they'll not do that again unless they can set that for a Bundle. Because 70 is a hell of a lot of money. And for Honorable Mention, the game I was gonna get but it's not coming yet, it's a game called Wild Hearts which is for the PlayStation 5, I thought I want to give the game a shot since I like these cool animals and thanks to my A-Pal on the drawing he did of one which is extremely cute. But it sucks Target gets like so many messages saying it's coming the next day and the day after which it gets really annoying! I hate when companies like to trick me with messages of when something I get comes from the mail from another place. But I'm sure I'll get the game soon somehow. Anyways, I'll give this stuff a shot. And I like the stuff I got. They look pretty cool.

I'm probably the only person in the world, but I prefer earbuds with a 3.5mm jack to wireless earbuds.

I just had to get new headphones because I got a new phone and the version I got has a software bug that corrupts audio if you lock your screen and have a headphone jack plugged in.

I have used wired earbuds my whole life. I HATE bluetooth earbuds, because I like knowing my phone is tethered to my music. I DONT want to be stuck without music because I forgot to plug in my fucking earbuds.

I'm autistic with adhd and I just know that at some point I am now going to abandon my phone on a bus or something and not realize until my buds lose signal. I NEED THE LEASH. Also, I use my earbuds to prevent sensory overload and if they die I'm literally fucked.

It is pretty clear the bug on my phone is an instance of planned obsoletion. I fucking hate this. It has literally not been fixed, solely because Samsung is no longer producing phones with 3.5 mm jack ports. Samsung is also coming out with a line of Samsung buds

Let me have my wired earbuds dammit. New tech stresses me out, and the buttons are all on a different side than my last pair. I fucking hate it.

In what world is this innovation? It's certainly not progress. There is literally no reason for companies to make this change other than the fact that now everybody has to buy new shit. Before long, a different interface will have to be purchsed bimonthly just to keep up with "innovation"

I kinda like my wireless headphones, but I'm sick of people not understanding why people care about this, so I'm also going to list some reasons why I hate them so much.

-Having to charge them, very short battery life.

-Worse audio quality. You'd think this would be one of the first things that people would care about, I mean, audio is kinda the point, isn't it?

-Specifically with earbuds it's easier to lose them if they don't have a wire. Same reason I don't like using a dongle. It's so easy to lose, and I can't just leave it on my headphones because I have more than one device that would use it.

-They make the dongles really fucking flimsy, idk if there's a place that sells more durable ones but it just seems like it would eat a hole in my pocket to carry around a flimsy tiny piece of plastic and wires that will probably break as soon as I put my phone in my pocket and bend the wire.

-My last pair of wired headphones were from 2014, and they were a gift from my grandpa. I can't be the only one in the world who has a piece of tech that is sentimental or a gift. I think it's awful that it's now obsolete just because they don't sell phones with an audio jack anymore. Just sad.

-I'm skeptical that Bluetooth headphones will last as long as those headphones, but idk we'll see I guess. :(

-People wear headphones to sleep. Can't do that if your headphones batteries die and wake you up.

im on my dad's phone plan and he switched from T-Mobile to AT&T and they told him the phones under his plan could get new phones. i didn't want one cuz i like my galaxy s10 it's got a earphone jack and i fucking hate wireless earbuds (i lose shit easily and quality is always going to be lost over bluetooth) and it's flamingo pink (orange/pink it's so prettyy) and 2020s samsung hates pink BUT whatever i researched my options and got the s24 fe cuz i liked the price more than the others and it helped that the processor and battery life looked better than the regular 24 (i like to keep phones for as long as possible so smth durable is importantto me). (unrelated but there is so much ai oncthis thing like ive disabled the majority of it but why must it exist)

speaking of durable, i was plannkng on getting a good case with good warranty bc ive never cracked my screen and i don't want it ti happen ever. my dad offered to buy me a case so i sent him a link and he said he'd get me one off amazon and i was annoyed cuz he always does this so i was going to get it myself but he said he'd get it. 2 or 3 weeks later he says i didn't send him the link but i did and he said he'd get me one off amazon. they weren't on sale anymore so i couldn't buy them bc i had a medical bill i was worried about and i was annoyed but also not in a hurry, but he was so he said he'd buy me it if i sent him the link again. then yesterday i see the mailman put an amazon package in the mail and i was so annoyed cuz this dude always does this 😭 im a dumbass. the case sucks it's so thin and came with a bubbly screen protector i was at war with for an hour. the camera protector i do like. i do not tjink i glued it symmetrically bjt im goingnto pretend i did or i will lose my marbles. i really wish he didn't offer to buy me a case i would've gotten the light blue parallax when it was on sale for $8. i knew i should've gotten it as a back up fuck. lkke i am so stupid. he did this shit to me when my case broke in 2020/21. multiple times over 3 years he told me he'd buy me a new one then gave me flimsy dollar tree cases while giving his wife and himself good ones 🥴 XDDDDDDDDDDdd i was being cheap too tho cuz i didn't wanna buy it myself but damn why he always gotta lie just say no and i'd buy it

was switching over to my new phone 230pm yesterday when i lost my ability to make calls/texts/use my data and my mom's house has no internet and my mom doesn't have a mobile hotspot included in her phone plan so i couldn't dl my esim to fix the issue 😭 why didn't the thing dl before the process, i had my hotspot on in case it needed to dl anything but the thing never said it 😭 like the paper the phone came with said that i had an esim but why didn't the option pop up 😭 yesterday was a bad day and i had little sleep so this only added to my stress especially since the AT&T calls kept ending halfway thru (i borrowed grandma's phone) and icfeel so bad for the nice lady i was talking to last night because i ended up crying 😭 LMAO

dust is a threat to national security! and it's made up of like 70% fecal matter like it's literally the shit of dust mites which are little bugs that live in your sheets. in fact, i have an expensive ass anti dust mite duvet because it was still cheaper than getting medicine for my allergies every month. blue is my second favourite colour after red, but it used to be my favourite. at one point in time i had around fifty shades of blue memorised purely to show other people that i was a bigger fan of blue than they were. my mom got free soap from her friend who runs a soap shop so i reaped the benefits. one is a regular long rectangle and dark pink, wrapped in a blue ribbon, and it smells vaguely rosey. the second is small and in the shape of a rose, in a bright pink colour. it very strongly smells rosey. the third is medium sized and has a cream coloured base with a translucent honey coloured top in the shape of a flower. it smells like orange. honestly i just bought the nightlights because they looked cool, i've never been one to use them. losing chargers is so relatable though- poor bunny nigjtlight :(

WHAT. Dust mites are menaces and need to go. Blue and red are both very nice colors!! Memorizing 50 shades is kinda crazy though… but anything to prove that you are indeed the biggest blue fan. dad had wireless earbuds, 2 pairs, vut the 1st pair didn't seem 2 pair 2 my phones bluetooth so i used the 2nd pair n they were fine but the next day, despite me having charged em, the left earbud suddenly ran our of battery while the right 2 was fine n i plugged em both in yesterday 2 charge all evening n night n i put them in 2day only 4 them 2 immediately stop working i give up this is why ive always hated n never used wireless earbuds they're SHIT.

I honestly don't like earbuds (I find them uncomfortable and they fall out a lot). So I hate that if I want to use headphones, I also need a $15 adapter, plus the headphones, because Apple decided 3.5 mm jacks are passé and everyone else followed suit.

Also I work in Cybersecurity, and as convenient as Bluetooth wireless stuff is, I'm not wild about having an open connection to my phone broadcasting itself in public. Especially when the options to secure it are somewhat limited.
