Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.
I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!

#poorly drawn mdzs#art summary#Since last year's independent variable was PD-WWX; this year I used Lan Wangji.#Unfortunately his appearances were not very evenly distributed this year! Lots of LWJ's early in the year#then a dead period in the middle. He is forever my silly rabbit. I love drawing him!#If I have to put a label on this year; I'd describe it as 'experimental'. I pushed myself to do llots of new things!#I drew lots for dungeon meshi and that really boosted my growth. More body types -clothing details - expressions!#Ryoko Kui is a great artist to learn from and It made me realize that I had a lot to gain from doing more studies.#I also started working on a whole new genre of art! While it has taken a backburner spot - I'm working on a game now!#Digital art was my enemy last year but I have been getting a feel for it now.#Goals for this year is to 1) keep working on my personal projects 2) finish PD-MDZS! and 3) practice animation!#I didn't (couldn't) draw as much as I did last year...but I had to take a lesson in humility and taking care of myself.#Drawing is something I do 'for fun' but there were many times it became more stressful than it should.#I'm still learning how to find and maintain balance with everything life throws at me.#We are all works of progress and I am trying very hard to love the process and the journey! I don't really know my destination!#But I will keep taking steps forwards. I never want to be stuck and lost as I once was.#If 2024 was a rough year for you too; We're in this together. “Hey, Doll. Why don’t you join me for a bath?” Tynan asks, an easy smirk on his face. He likes watching your reactions, whether you’re teasing him or getting flustered. It’s cute, honestly.
Oh man, Tynan thinks. He’s really down bad. He didn’t really think he’d (1) want you beyond a physical relationship and (2) want to capture you so you’ll be wholly his, forced to rely on him and only him. These thoughts used to baffle him (and maybe they do still baffle him somewhat), but he honestly doesn’t care too much anymore. Still…
Tynan isn’t sure when his breaking point was.
Was it when he was first lured in by your dreams? When he first got a taste of you? When he first decided to stay for a little longer than he usually would?
You appealed to Tynan’s tastes quite a bit, more than any other human had, but that wasn’t his breaking point, was it? Your guardian angel and his obsession with you was intriguing, but that certainly wasn’t Tynan’s breaking point, either. Sure, your guardian angel gave Tynan some source of amusement and it was a surprise that you could even see your own guardian angel, but that wasn’t enough to make Tynan spiral.
His competitiveness with your guardian angel did make Tynan more touchy and affectionate (and wow, did he like touching you), but that wasn’t his breaking point, either.
Tynan seriously can’t wrap his head around it. Sex is casual. Relationships are casual. But here you are, making him want to get consumed by you. Here you are, making him jealous of all things.
Tynan doesn’t like emotions or attachments – it’s pointless, really – but he wants to overload you with his feelings for you, attaching you to his side forever. He wants to take you back with him to his home so he can lock you up and hide you away from the world forever. If you’re there, he doesn’t need anyone else. He’ll never need anyone else ever again.
“Tynan?” you call, snapping him out of his thoughts. “Do you want me to wash your hair?”
The question makes him smile. You’re really too cute. It’s to the point that you’re the only thing that matters to him.Yeah, that’s right – it doesn’t matter what his breaking point was. All that matters is that you’ve made him break his long streak of detachment and he’s not planning on ever letting go.

A little 15 min doodle but first post of the year has to be Bingqiu!
#ok its time to get mushy in the tags because I doubt anyone would read them too closely#I’ve had severe art block for YEARS before I got into danmei in 2024#and it wasn’t that my skill was gone it’s just that I thought nothing I did was good enough#I started reading danmei around the summer of last year and I got SO INSPIRED#I dived into the fandom side of things (I haven’t been in a live fandom in years) and was so excited about all the art people were making#and writing! and music! and animatics!#everything was so bright and colorful and beautiful#and everyone had such cool designs for these book characters that I’d grown to love#so I took a chance and doodled a little Luo Binghe and posted him on here#and I was so taken aback by how welcoming and sweet the fandom was#it made me wanna keep taking chances and posting my art— because I think that’s one of the hardest things I’ve come to accept#that even if it’s not good enough for me#someone else may enjoy it#and ain’t it crazy that ive come to enjoy drawing again too#sure the interaction has been fun but it’s been even more fun experimenting with my style and experimenting with colors and rendering#and grayscale and angles#and composition and expressions#ahh!! art is so fun!!
