anyways triglycercule what are your thoughts??? funny you asked triglycercule allow me to illuminate :3 so ive been remembering that one ask from like 3 or 4 months ago where i answered like well i like to consider the trio to just have met one day and then decided oh hey we should like totally explore the multiverse together (my excuse to draw them in any possible situation possible (mtt at an amusement park when) (soon (probably not))) and recently i was like WAIT i could probably like totally find a way for them to meet because just saying they met (is a totally valid use of my creator powers BUT) is uncreative and vague,,,,,

so i was like damn. how COULD i get them to meet 🧐🧐🧐 so i was like ok so dust beats human. done and done. but like bros BOUND to get bored. like if he gets bored from not having the human to kill then he's gonna seek out SOME other form of entertainment. so dust is like ok how about i work on some old ancient machines i made b4 to pass the time and one of these ends up being like a universal traveler thingy. and to his own surprise he actually MANAGES to get it done???? (i totally didnt steal this idea from myself,,,,, whaaat youre saying there's another triglycercule dust that came up with a universe hopper machine??? NO (sorry mania))

and oops instead of staying in dusttale like he intended dust accidentally gets chucked into horrortale (bro just wanted the sense of accomplishment not to thrown into some random world.) and then cue like horror and him meeting and its all tense and confusing and then horror paps comes around and hes like OMG ⁉️TWO BROTHERS ‼️‼️ and then invites dust over for a nice sweet little bowl of human spaghetti. unfortunately for dust the little teleporter device is no longer connected to dusttale's core (because hes not IN dusttale) so he just kinda has to suck it up and deal with it until he can find a portable power source

dust's not trying to get KILLED out here so he asks horror (who sadly cannot push dust into blue snow because paps is very enthusiastic about his appearance) where he can find like batteries or something. and horror makes some off hand comment about like power sources and his eye being in the core and how theres like no power and oh why did dust immediately start listening once horror mentioned his eye,,,,,, dusts not gonna rip horror's eye out (he has no reason 2 if theres a perfectly good 1 @ the core!) so he tells horror what he needs the power source for and then hes like i can help you get food for your buddies if you help me help you. ok? ok

and then they sneak into the core to get the eye and oops dust didnt you learn your lesson last time!! the little teleporter thingy brings them to another world AGAIN (and now horror's PISSED because this wasn't in their little deal) and guess where is is,,,,, you already know its something new. and i guess to make things uncomplicated this is a something new where killer already killed his chara but he hasn't tried to reset the world and kill himself (and therefore attract nightmare) yet (he's getting there!)

not like they think the au is anything other than just a wasteland because there is literally like nobody around but they stumble into killer and it doesn't even take like more than a minute before a fight breaks out (i probably need to think more about what happened and why they started fighting but knowing the trio its BOUND to happen) and lowkey killer is getting his ass beat what the hell??? he has never experienced a fight where he's been on the losing end in a long ass time & mindgames arent working because they keep seeing through his shit??? (because horror and dust somehow even though they barely know each other and horror's pissed @ dust have like craaaazy synergy and coordination & killer hasnt faught them ever before + yk yk inner turmoil at seeing other versions of yourself) so he gets annoyed and pulls out the blaster to end it

dust and horror don't DIE outright (not like they would be able to tank killer's blaster) because killer decided to be like hey these guys are new and cool and interesting. i should keep them around instead of killing them off and see how much i can play around with them :3 so he just blasts them until theyre at like 0.0000000000000001 HP :3333 and then idk thats it 4 now,,,,,, i think this is silly and fun and cool and i can imagine it in my head and OH NO THE VOICES (make a comic) THEYRE GETTING LOUDER (you should draw this) NO WAIT MY MOTIVATION (coooomic would be a perfect medium for this) im sorry inner voices i cant,,,,,,,

I’m like. Brainstorming for Pit and Dark Pit’s Pokémon verses now. Because Volo has that STRONG Greek motif + has Celestica blood, which. Probably means Pit and Dark Pit are Celestica descendants? Which also also validates my take I posted forever ago that “oh lol Hisui would probably be the best fit for Pit and Dark Pit’s Pokémon verses for no other reason than it’s in the past.” I was more on the nose than I thought /lh

My only hesitation though is, I like standard Decidueye and Galarian Rapidash for these two. Especially the former because standard Decidueye’s shiny is black which I thought fit Dark Pit really well. On one hand, the two of them could still have standard Decidueye in this time period, since the dex entry for Hisuian Decidueye says “evolution is influenced by environment,” which implies that standard Decidueye also exists when PLA happens? As opposed to it being like “Hisui Decidueye evolved into standard Decidueye over time.” Theoretically Hisui Decidueye could still exist in the modern day in Sinnoh and just be called Sinnohan Decidueye. But on the other hand the smaller wings and proficiency in land combat are also a vibe.....hhhh it’s just a question of "if I put them in Hisui, do I want Dark Pit to have a black Decidueye badly enough to try and justify it lore wise.” Totally at a loss for Galarian Rapidash though. I’m more willing to bend on that one but hhhh pastel unicorn go brrr

Regional form crisis aside though, I totally love the idea of Pit and Dark Pit being wardens in some capacity. It Just Makes Sense given the lord/ride Pokémon have divine blessings so for the angels to watch over those kinds of Pokémon just. Fits. The only issue is that all ten nobles have wardens canonically already so I have no idea how I’d begin to work that LSHDFKJLANDKGJ

his advice would differ depending on whether you’re a pro-hero, fellow villain, or just a civilian

if you’re a pro-hero,, kurogiri will most likely try to convince shigaraki to just give up on you

hero/villain relationships are extremely complicated and a lot of hurt is definitely going to be involved

he doesn’t want shigaraki getting hurt and neither does he want him getting captured

if you’re a fellow villain, odds are he tries to get shigaraki to accept his feelings and confess to you

having someone important to him close in his life might help him

and if you’re just a civilian,, he’ll try to convince shigaraki to stay away

for your own good

he doesn’t wanna involve innocent people if it’s not necessary anyway

whatever the case tho, kurogiri would try to help shigaraki get over his jealousy, whether it means getting together with you or not

depending on your relationship with dabi, he might just end up teasing you about it

he’ll probably also try to just spend as much time with you as possible

if he sees you and your friend together, he’ll be quick to swoop in and come up with some excuse to drag you away

or if you made plans with your friend to hang out and dabi find out, he’ll be sure to be there acting as if he totally hadn’t crashed in on your plans

ofc the longer this continues on for, the more hostile dabi becomes to your friend

as if he wasn’t hostile enough already

truth is he hated greatly disliked your friend since the moment he met them

he always suspected they saw you as something more than just friends

it pissed him off but.. there’s not much he could do about it

if there ever are any signs of them making a move on you tho,, dabi plans to just pull them aside for “a nice chat”

Omg guys I just watched the new Puchiseka with VBS and I’m laughing. VBS episodes have been my favorites so far and the 25ji one. I’m just gonna babble about it for a little bit.

Ofc with a title of “The Rumored Pancake” it would start out with Akito and Toya. And lo and behold, the new hot pancake shop is Weekend Garage. So I’m not sure if the Puchiseka universe is canon or not (esp after the last fiasco), but I like to think this one gives us some insight on Weekend Garage and the characters so I’ll consider it canon.  So the first thing I noticed is that after Ken injures himself, An is left in charge of the cafe which is kinda weird since An is a kid. But this means that Ken doesn’t have any other people working at Weekend Garage besides An and that Ken is the one who probably runs the kitchen between the two. Another thing, Ken knows how to make pancakes (and I think there are card stories where he makes them for Akito), teaches An how to make pancakes, and then An uploads pictures of said pancakes.

Now the ideas I get from this is that Ken, while he does know how to make good pancakes, chooses not to put them on his usual menu and just makes them specifically for Akito since Akito likes them. Bc before this episode, it looks like no one ever went to WG to eat pancakes. Also, An I guess is really good at making pancakes since she’s able to make enough of them at a pace to keep up with a full cafe and An made them look good enough/taste good enough to have people keep coming, bc it’s not like the teenage girls are there for anything else (at first). Also, I guess either An or WG is super popular on social media (since it would either be Twitter or Instagram where she uploaded the pictures to) bc WG got super packed within the day since Ken has been gone. It wouldn’t surprise me if An is actually super popular at both Kamiyama and then Miya after she meets Kohane and shows up there, so I guess An has a ton of followers. Either that or An tagged Weekend Garage and pancakes and the algorithm was on her side that day.

Anyways back to the episode. So ofc Akito and Toya help out. But based on the situation at hand, we can guess that Ken just had extra work uniforms lying around since Kohane, Akito, and Toya were able to get some pretty fast. It also looks like different versions of the same uniform since An/Kohane have a sweater wrapped around their shoulders while Toya/Akito have little bow ties on their version. Kohane seems to be doing pretty alright serving tables (I mean she’s overwhelmed but that’s bc it’s a full house). Akito and Toya also seem to be doing pretty well serving tables as well. Akito doesn’t surprise me since he does have a job at a clothing store, but I’ll admit Toya is pretty adaptable since he’s doing well working the tables. An must have also taught Kohane how to make the special pancakes since Kohane goes help An in the kitchen after Toya and Akito arrive.

LoL and when Ken goes to check on his cafe, it’s become a hit with teenage girls bc of pancakes and the ‘hot’ waiters. You gotta wonder how long WG stayed like that before it went back to being its normal self. Based on how it was presented, it looks like Ken just rolled his ankle, but we don’t also don’t know how badly he did. He is using a crutch towards the end of the episode, but Ken is also probably getting old. So a rolled ankle can take at minimum 2 weeks and at maximum like 12 weeks. I’m going to assume Ken’s injury is on the more minor side and say like 2-3 weeks before he’s back. Even if Ken stayed behind the counter and helped out just in the kitchen, he’d still be standing for a long time which could aggravate his injury.

Now, I have no idea if VBS would be able to handle running WG for like 2 weeks by themselves. So I’m going to HC that VBS calls their friends to see if they can help. Kohane might ask Shiho and Minori if they could help out. Idk if Shiho would, but I could see Minori helping out since she is a waitress in another cafe so she does have experience. Idk if the rest of MMJ would help, but I can see the rest of MMJ just checking out the cafe. Maybe Haruka shows up as moral support for An. And Airi does love sweets so she might be interested in going to eat pancakes. Shizuku would maybe just tag along. It’d be funny if Ena hears about this hip new shop selling pancakes and drags 25ji to go there with her. She’s in line with them and hears girls gossiping about ‘hot’ waiters and then her and 25ji get in and it’s Ena’s freaking brother and his friend. Ena would probably be disgusted at seeing girls fawning over Akito’s good boy facade and Toya’s cool appearance, but she would also definitely tease him about it later. Mizuki just doesn’t hold back and starts teasing as soon as Akito sits them down at a table. Akito is dying inside bc now Ena and her friends know about Weekend Garage and that it’s popular all of a sudden bc of the pancakes (it wasn’t just the pancakes but i don’t think he knows that). Kanade probably comments that the coffee is good and she wouldn’t mind coming by again for some more of it and Mafuyu is probably neutral on the matter. I don’t really see Leo/need or WxS popping by to visit, but I think it’d be cute if MMJ and 25ji stopped by and watch VBS handle the cafe.

So yeah, eventually Ken can at least stand again and the shop goes back to be a musician hangout spot, but I wonder if Ken just keeps the pancakes on the menu since she were selling so well.

I thought this was a really cute episode and it was fun seeing Ken in chibi form. I guess this goes towards the Ken count. Meh I don’t mind. Anyways, what are your thoughts? Thanks for reading!

So we can imagine most of Michael‘s and Trapper‘s childhoods but I don’t think Danny has much of a background lore going as far soo I‘d personally also put him into a difficult household (even though I wish it were different) I also think I’ll put this one into a text form

The Trapper (Evan MacMillan)

Evan had always in a way idolized his father and his father had never deemed anyone worthy to get close to his son. Needless to say Evan didn’t have many friends at all when he was young. The other children were scared of his father and the stories their parents had told them about the MacMillan family. They were gruesome, as much as a parent would allow their child to hear but enough to ensure they would never want to get close to the MacMillan child.

You had always thought it was unfair. It wasn’t Evan’s fault that his dad was mean and you didn’t want him to sit alone over something he wasn’t responsible for. So you approached him and you kept approaching him even as he tried to push you away. He knew about the stories and he himself knew very well that his father wasn’t the kindest person. Time and time again had his father hit him for not following his orders, had thrown away his sketches and sent him to bed on an empty stomach as a punishment. He understood why others feared his father and he didn’t blame them. Even though he loved his father, he also despised him. He knew no one but him would endure his father’s punishments so when the tiny you approached him he tried his best to push you away. You were far too fragile, you couldn’t get close to him or his father. 

But you didn’t care. No matter how many times he rudely sent you away you always returned. And as time passed he felt himself slowly growing fond of you. You were nice to him, the only person that made him feel warm and he didn’t want you to leave him anymore. He wanted to keep your kindness, to keep the warmth you made him feel through the utter coldness he was accustomed to. So he allowed you to stay if only for a while which soon became longer and longer.

You played together in elementary school and he would protect you from anyone that even attempted to bully you. Or ask you out for that matter. He soon had to realize that he grew more and more possessive of you, that he didn’t want anyone to take you away from him. You had been with him since the beginning, had shown him kindness and understanding, had been there for him and took care of the bruises his father kept giving him. As cheesy as this sounded you had been his sun all along, naturally and selflessly giving him warmth without ever being asked to. His one and only friend.

Shit I might need to turn this into a fiction maybe? haha we’ll see

The Shape (Michael Meyers)

Michael had always been the silent child in your kindergarten group. First everyone thought he was just a little shy but you soon realized that he simply refused to speak. Of course your teacher tried to convince him to talk, even had a meeting with his parents but they assured that he learned speaking, however at one point simply stopped any form of communication. To the adults he was a hopeless case. They tried desparately to change him, but he wouldn’t budge. 

To you he was a welcome friend. You didn’t mind his silence, you knew he was listening to you and you could still play together. Well, it was mostly you telling him what to do with the toys, because he himself wouldn’t do anything besides holding them in his hand, but that wasn’t much of an issue to you. 

Of course you tried to get him to play with your other friends too, but his lack of enthusiasm often got in the way and the other kids got scared of his silent and emotionless behavior. However, even when they told you to, you refused to stop playing with Michael. Yes, he was a little odd, but that didn’t make him a bad child (killing his sister later lowkey did tho oop) so you didn’t want him to be alone. Everyone needs some company, right? 

Over time you noticed, that he would remember what you had told him to do with the toys, instead of simply holding them, to which you would give him a big smile.

This improvement you saw in his behavior made you even sadder when one day he stopped coming to the kindergarten. At first you had thought he was sick, but weeks went on without a single trace of him or his parents.

Upon asking you own they had told you he was sent to another kindergarten instead, that was specialized on children like him. You were sad of course, but you accepted it, hoping he would find more friends to play with now. 

You only later found out he was sent to an asylum instead of another kindergarten.

The Ghostface (Danny Johnson)

Danny Johnson did not have the nicest childhood imaginable. After her divorce his mother didn’t become directly abusive to him, more so the alcohol. 

He liked to think that the slurring woman bruising him wasn’t his mother, that it was simply someone else, someone more aggressive trying to be her. He didn’t want to think his mother hated him, he didn’t want to believe she would bruise him, would shout at him and blame him for what had happened to her marriage. 

Even as a young boy he knew to cover his bruises. He loved his mother, he didn’t want her to be alone even though the woman the alcohol brought out of her hurt him in every way possible. But it was his fault right? His dad didn’t want him so he left him and his mother. He was responsible and the least he thought he could do was let her let out her pain on the person responsible for her misery.

In school he didn’t talk much to anyone. He was a rather shy kid, not wanting to cause anymore trouble for anyone. At lunch he sat alone, but he didn’t mind. He also didn’t mind being called weird or gross for his greasy long hair or the bags under his eyes. Not that he wanted to talk to anyone about himself anyways. Not even to you as you approached him. 

You had watched him sit alone for a long time. He looked sad, restless, sometimes even scared and despite not even knowing him, it hurt you to see anyone in this state. So you went to talk to him. However, it took a while for him to stop avoiding you as best as he could and he eventually opened up to you a bit. He still didn’t tell you about the abuse until you reached middle school, but when he did you were determined to help him, to clear his understanding of him not being responsible for anything and to get him a new home. 

With the help of your parents you were able to get him out of his household and soon find a acquainted family that was willing to take him in. The Olsens tried their best to provide him with everything he needed. And while you knew it would take time for him to heal, you were relieved he was part of a loving family now, that would help him back onto a safe track. 

You couldn’t have known that the damage to Danny’s brain had already been done and there was no way of saving him from the twisted prison of his own mind.

OOK THESE ARE WAY DARKER THAN YOU PROBABLY WANTED BUT I OOP GOT CARRIED AWAY 

I can attempt to make it more wholesome a second time if you want these were just the most logical things that came to my mind haha... honestly idk but I usually think that someone isn’t just yk born a killer (except Michael maybe pfft) so I came up with some uhm logical upbringings to the boys haha yeet..

Anyways I’m considering turning the Evan and Ghosty one into their own separate story thingsies. Kinda hard to do something with Michael bc uhm Psychiatry but possibly something with a reader that’s also in treatment or we pull a Harley Quinn sometime who knows! 

For now I hope you aren’t too mad that this was so... dark instead of cute oop >:)) if you’re mad just let me die on the hook next time pffft

Okay. Okay. Okay. So I guess this is a little bit AU because I cant imagine Law being in the right frame of mind for something like this for the period of time where he was with Cora. So I've sort of based it off of Corazon surviving and the two of them going to live with Coras S/O while he recovers and Law figures out his powers etc. ... its uh. Baby angst? A little bit of angst? Idk. But I still hope you enjoy it!

Little! Law calling Corazons S/O mom

You frown down into the gently simmering pan and tap your lip with your finger, debating. It needs something else to give it a little kick but you're not quite sure what.

“Need some help?” Corazon asked, strolling into the kitchen. He stops beside you, one hand coming to rest on your hip while the other leans against the counter. You instantly move him away from the stove, surprised he hasn't already burst into flame from proximity alone. He gives you a sheepish smile.

“Mmm, taste this,” You say, holding out a mouthful on the spoon for him to sample. "What do you think?"

Cora gives it a look before leaning forward to taste it. He tilts his head to the side as he eats it before beaming at you. “Perfect as always, Name.”

“You're no help,” You grumble, rolling your eyes even as a small smile tugs at your lips.

Corazon grins and drops himself into one of the kitchen chairs, long legs splayed out under the table. He watches you cooking for a moment before asking, “Where's Law?”

“Reading in his room I think,” You say, examining a jar of spices before putting it down again. “Go get him and the two of you can set the table.”

Corazon lets out a dramatic sigh and gets back to his feet. He leans over and plants a kiss on your cheek before disappearing down the hallway.

You hear a clatter, followed by a groan as he trips over something and then muted talking as he finally reaches Laws room and collects his ward.

They return together and begin setting out the table in companionable silence.

“How's the book Law?” You ask, glancing back over your shoulder.

No matter how much you feed the boy he doesn't seem to get any bigger, his arms and legs are still stick thin and he has a sickly look about him even though it's been almost a year since he cured himself of Amber Lead poisoning. He doesn't look quite as haunted though, so you suppose that's a good sign.

“Mm,” He shrugs. “It's very informative.”

Law takes off his hat, hooking it over the back of his chair and takes his seat, rearranging the cutlery to his liking. You smirk, resisting the urge to go over and ruffle the unruly black hair of his. He catches you looking and gives you a small uncertain smile.

“Almost ready!” You say.

Corazon moves around you to fetch plates and together you serve up the dinner.

“One for you, Cora – and you Law,” You say, placing their food in front of them before sitting in your own place.

The three of you begin your meal. Corazon carries the conversation while Law butts in to correct him now and then, but you watch quietly, smiling to yourself at the sight. It had been a hard journey for the pair of them – but Law in particular. You had been worried that your partners little tag along might have trouble adjusting after all he's been through.

“This is great, Name,” Corazon says, nudging your arm to get your attention, a wide smile on his face. “What do you think kid?”

“It's really good, thanks mom.” Law says, shovelling another spoonful into his mouth. He freezes half way through chewing, his eyes flick from you to Cora, then back again.

You can see that stupid grin forming on Corazon's face, but Law doesn't look happy at all by his slip up. He's looking down at the table, not meeting your eyes, shoulders hunched.

Law swallows the mouthful with barely more than one bite. “I'm finished, thank you, Name.”

He pushes his chair back, knocking his hat to the floor as he does so, but Law doesn't stop to pick it up. He practically runs back to his room. You hear the door slam.

“Law!” Corazon starts, his face worried. He starts to rise from his seat but you take his hand and keep him in place.

“Leave him, Cora,” Your voice quiet. “Give him some time.”

Corazon nods and sits back down, lacing his fingers with yours. The two of you sit in silence and finish your meal.

 

You pick the hat up off the floor and dust if off as you walk down the hall. It's been a few hours but Law's door is still closed. You tap lightly on the wood. “Law, can I come in?”

There is no response. You tap again, a little harder this time before trying the handle. The latch clicks and you slowly open the door. Law is lying on his bed, back to the door, curled around himself.

“Hey, Law,” You step in, closing the door quietly behind you. The bedside lamp is on, casting the room in a soft glow. “You alright sweetheart?”

You get a sniffle in response. Law hasn't asked you to leave yet, so you move over to the bed and sit down in the space between the curl of his legs. “Here's your hat.”

It takes a second but his hand reaches back to take it from you, pulling it up to his chest.

“Do you want me to go?” You ask, pushing the hair back from his face. He makes a little gasping noise in the back of his throat but you see the slight shake of his head. “Are you embarrassed?”

He doesn't answer you for a while, just lets you stroke his hair, clutching his hat.

“I.. I feel guilty,” Law finally says, rolling onto his back so he can see you. His eyes are a little puffy, but any tears he might have shed have dried. “Y-you're not... I shoulder have called you that.”

“You miss them, huh?” You ask, because you're not sure how you're supposed to tell a child that lost his whole family that he shouldn't feel guilty for finding another one.

Law nods, his fingers digging into the fabric of his hat.

“That's okay, it's always hard to lose people you love,” You tell him. “But don't beat yourself up about caring for other people, hm?”

He nods again, his face scrunching up as he tries to stop himself from crying in front of you. Law takes a big, gulping breath and pushes himself up, flinging his arms around your neck. You don't hesitate to wrap your arms around him and return the hug.

“And Law,” You say, feeling him nod against your shoulder. “If you ever decide you want to call me that again, I don't mind at all.”

push your way through the cracks is the first edgar/mc i’ve written here and while i’ve mentioned there that edgar is my fav out of the cast, i fear that i’ll probably take me a very long time to write another one bc... he’s my favorite. i noticed i have the tendency not to write much (or have finished works) about ships i really, really like despite... you know, liking them. hopefully not - shipping aside, i like exploring the characterizations of enigmatic types like edgar.

about the fic, i pretty much like it save for the second part bc i think i could’ve done something more with it - not exactly change the setting, but expounded a little further on it. i don’t know, it feels lacking somehow in comparison to the first two.

there are a lot of flower-related descriptions tossed here and there, but i think i succeeded in not being so purple prose-y? hopefully! this was pretty descriptive, i guess.

with this edgar fic present, that means i have 2 more red army doods to write about, namely zero & jonah. i was really aiming to make edgar the last one tho haha.

weave me into your web is canon based, specifically pt. 24 of sirius’ route where they say ‘goodbye’. note those quotation marks.

i think i wrote this after a discussion i had with a friend about sirius & his route - she read some posts commenting on the route and she wanted a nearby opinion. we got into an agreement: while we do find sirius to be indeed husbando material, his route would’ve risked nothing if they gave him more / emphasized his flaws. his flaws, not mc’s, gosh. 

no, seriously. in my opinion, mc fretting so much about being immature sort of blinds her from the little things that prove sirius is not so composed as he appears to be. it gets even worse when she realizes she’s fallen in love with him, and while i enjoy the black army going kira-kira rabu support team + seth being hopeless suitor, i’m going 50/50 on mc. she’s written to be indeed very single-minded come the war phase and while that’s not necessarily bad since she gets to broaden her perspective as she always does, i think i would’ve appreciated it if she came to most of the realizations on her own by reflecting on them based on how the events around her are progressing; and not simply by sirius / someone else pointing it out for her. no wonder she’d think she’s immature in comparison - it also irks me a bit that she keeps on fretting about her feelings for sirius. this is what i’d be sad to see again in other routes: the romance overthrowing the potential / present character development. 

side note: i understand that in relationships with a notable age gap, maturity / perceived maturity can be a problem - i just wished that the route downplayed on this bc honestly, there are other things more interesting to explore than that angle, like, say; isn’t she from another culture or world or something????????? will those differences affect our potential relationship??????????????

on sirius himself, i recall reading on reddit that one person didn’t pick up ikerev for the reason that the cast is too perfect. that’s a fair opinion. i think i can relate this to sirius himself: while throughout the route you do see some flaws in him, he’s still overall the dude you’d write home about + that dude you’d dream introducing to your parents complete with that suave voice (thank u junichi suwabe). no, i’m not saying that he has to have some unlikable or quirky trait / wangsty backstory, it’s just that in my opinion he’s desirable but not exactly relatable. let him struggle, let me see him rise up from it. show me his humanity. there’s the scene with him and lancelot, but i want more. tho him being afraid of being alone is what i find extremely relatable and endearing about him, very nice. otherwise... well, maybe i have to reread the route again or smth.

anyway. the fic emphasizes actually on his character trait of self-control / restraint. did u know too much is bad for u??? it can reflect that since you hold yourself back too much, it could mean that you’re masking your true feelings, for example. there are various psychological studies on that. *stares at sirius* hMMM.

i took care to be quite descriptive on that kiss scene and at the same time, not to be so emotional on it bc it’s still sirius lol - i believe he’s not one to lose himself completely to his emotions, but he’s not that afraid to succumb to some of it - especially if he actually wants to feel them.

a beginner’s guide to waltz was seriously just some formatting experiment, then it blew up to something larger. i actually like it tho, it’s cute.

writing oliver is actually fun, not bc of the reason that i can be rude. he is rude, but he’s not like that for just the sake of being so. as seen with blanc, it’s probably a result of habit. why exactly he chose to be verbally aggressive is something i’d like to know in his route.

i have no idea how the relationship shift is portrayed either, but i do hope it’s a mortifying revelation on mc’s part lol. like, lookie here, that little kid with his wee shorts and pretty hat that you hang out with all the time and don’t care about acting so ladylike around was that hot hunk who saved you before! oliver’s so amused and never letting her live it down.

for the line ‘i’m not interested in asking you about a decision you’ve made since you arrived here’: the decision mentioned is mc’s promise not to fall in love & to go home. i think oliver would be one of those routes where he falls for her but wants her to go home anyway, but the difference in his route is that he’s very adamant to make her leave. maybe thinking along the lines of ‘i don’t want you to end up like me’ or something. idk. idk what i’m trying to type at this point, lol.

just some random thought, but i do hope ikerev artist tcg someday draws mc in the game outfits / hairstyles bc she’s actually rly pretty. the description of mc’s outfits / fashion of part 4 of the fic was out of me just staring at the my closet portion of the game. don’t ask - i like the hc of oliver & mc having elegant wardrobes / fashion sense, and since i’m too lazy to check up 19th century london fashion trends...

haunted by something still alive was the result of me thinking about guns. don’t ask me either. maybe it’s also a result of me wanting to write something else that isn’t from my horrendous drafts folder lol.

these were actually nice drabble practices, and the first one i clearly had i mind was shiraishi’s. i honestly think it would be fitting, probably around the start of the route where they haven’t got to know each other so well.

from there on i tried to do the drabbles in the route order i did when i played the game, which was mineo - sasazuka - okazaki - shiraishi - yanagi. but tbh when i was writing it became shiraishi - mineo - yanagi - sasazuka - yanagi again - okazaki, lol. i rewrote yanagi’s and okazaki’s three times.

subtitles have their respective mathematical operations on it - i find it kind of cool and funny that those are their symbols (amnesia had the card suits), but when you do think of it properly, it does relate to their characters.

... never forget that hoshino ichika is canonically good with guns.

in absence of glass slippers as stated was a part of one of my first ikerev drafts. still a draft until now, but the portion i posted is one of the ‘finished’ sections of the fic.

i don’t headcanon mc as a respectable lady from a equally respectable house or her being a well-off girl, but i like the concept of her being a self-taught lady of society aka she learned stuff like manners, dancing, and etc. out of curiosity or for more practical reasons like fitting in. 19th century london is still the victorian era, so social class and propriety was still a thing.

her taking off her shoes to practice dancing with ray is a sort of a challenge, actually... his measure of improvement will be based on the times that he steps on her feet / how many blisters her feet would gain by the end of the session, lolol - that’s why she says that stepping on a rock is the least of her problems. pretty hardcore, isn’t she?

thus the title actually - glass slippers (mary janes actually) are pretty delicate, but don’t you think a lady’s foot is much more delicate?

with ray’s fic up, i’ve officially written a piece for all of the black army men! nice.

neither heaven or hell is holy shit, an mc-centered fic! hella rad - i was half thinking to classify it as a drabble, but since i decided that drabbles are pieces that i may get back on, i kept it as a full fic instead since i’m happy with how it turned out.

all of my screamings are in the tags, so i don’t have much to add besides that lol. however, the writing here is pretty different, and that’s because i was trying to do a three sentence fic challenge kind of thing. buuuuut it became three paragraphs with three lengthy sentences instead lol.

also, there’s some stuff highlighting mc’s london-er/english-ness. washing powder is the british term for laundry soap. 19th century roofs for royals were usually panels, and wooden beams for commoners. different as chalk and cheese is a british expression. i’m certainly not british but i just like emphasizing the fact that mc is of another culture/world, thus there should be differences in how she perceives things / her mannerisms & actions / her way of speech. i’ve been conscious of that in all of my fics involving her.

actually, i do make it a point to watch her way of speaking. i really like the polite way of speaking of 19th century britain (and also of today), so i try to integrate that despite the fact that i’m not british myself lol. it’s hard to fully convey it, but i try with hoping that it doesn’t seem too off. i should probably look for more references to practice it.

this was a very spontaneous piece with actually minor editing involved, and i’m pretty proud of how it turned out.

WHAT was.. that for. what!!

just thinkign about how merlin's magic reveal was such a momentous occasion. all that tension and angst built up over 5 seasons, culminating in this one immense revelation. and they chose to do it so calmly, sincerely, intimately. he didn't need to tell arthur in that moment, really, anymore than he needed to before. it was just the thought that arthur could very really die, and merlin didn't want to lose him without arthur really knowing everything about him

and arthur didn't get angry. i feel like it's become this fandom-wide hc that arthur immediately gets angry as soon as merlin tells him, but that didn't happen in the show, and im so glad for it. he was hurt, betrayed, confused, in disbelief, yes, and he reacted – well, he reacted as his prior actions and words dictated he would. it hurt, but it was no surprise that he wouldn't immediately embrace it

but the way he looked as though he didn't want to believe his own eyes and ears, the desperate attempt to use humour and their old give-and-take to calm a visibly crying merlin down (even though arthur was the one who had been mortally wounded!) – it was all so much more mature and nuanced than I was hoping for. the show had a tendency to slip back into silly jokes and old dynamics in a poor, lazy attempt to lessen the tension, even as far as in s5, but this, at least, was done well. so so well.

we saw growth in both merlin and arthur. not perfection, but growth, and the possibility for continued future growth, which perhaps hurt all the more because time was up and we would never see that come to happy fruition
