I stumbled upon a video about rhythm heaven which led to watching several hours of rhythm heaven videos which lead to listening to a streamer play rhythm heaven whenever I'm walking somewhere or like need something playing in the bg while I'm at my desk and also I started playing rhythm heaven and now rhythm heaven songs play on loop in my brain between every thought
#coyo speaks#hmm#what else is new I'm in a vaguely chatty mood#decided to start reading danmei and just finished Run Wild#it was really good and I'm looking forward to continuing it~#I also picked up one of those isekai historical fantasy ones that was recommended as an easy introduction to that genre#I'm still pretty wary about it tho#the really big well known danmei seem to be that type (minus the isekai part)#so I figured this would be a half decent way to peak at the setting and see if it appeals to me at all#but really I'm tempted to just stick to more modern setting ones like Run Wild#I also glanced at uhhh#I forget the book but the author is Priest#apparently it's a modern ghost hunting gangster novel or something?#I didn't know that when I started reading it in store but I might continue it after all#I mostly decided not to get it bc the cover's a little more obvious and not particular appealing to me#I'll take a meh cover that doesn't scream BL or a great cover that screams BL... but not a meh BL cover#it's at least gotta be something I can own if I'm reading it in public#I think atp if I'm buying a book the cover and spine are immensely important#once I read the book it's now just an object that sits on my shelf#what's the point of that if it doesn't look pretty#I may as well just read an e-book or a library book#I'm so concerned now with having stuff I don't need or want or even like#but also I keep buying stuff lol#I'm a menace when I go to Daiso#I've been filling a box with things I want to get rid of tho#I'm also trying to be more firm with throwing things away#if I can't give it to someone and I'm not going to use it I shouldn't just endlessly clutter my space with it#anyway lol#I said I was in a chatty mood

“Perfectly Thought Out”
Pairing: Spencer Reid x gn!reader
Genre: fluff
Warnings: none
Words: 1.15k
Summary: Finding the perfect gift for Spencer was not easy, but you did it.
It had taken you weeks to figure out the perfect gift for Spencer Reid. Weeks of mental back and forth, second-guessing, and doubt. Because really, what do you give someone like Spencer? A man with an IQ of 187, an eidetic memory, and an endless well of knowledge? Someone who could rattle off obscure facts about obscure things before you’d even finished your coffee?
You’d been desperate to give him something thoughtful, something that wouldn’t just end up collecting dust on a shelf in his apartment. And you think you’d finally nailed it. Or at least, you hoped you had.
Now, standing in the BAU’s break room with a carefully wrapped box tucked under your arm, you felt your nerves kick in. This was the first chance you’d gotten to give him his present, and the anticipation was eating you alive.
“Hey,” his voice broke through your thoughts, soft but warm.
You turned to see him standing in the doorway, a slight smile tugging at his lips. His messenger bag was slung over one shoulder, and his scarf hung loosely around his neck, a hint of the autumn chill still clinging to him from outside.
“Hey,” you said, suddenly feeling shy under his gaze. “I, uh, have something for you.”
“For me?” His eyebrows lifted in surprise, his curiosity immediately piqued.
You nodded, holding out the box with both hands. “It’s… kind of a late birthday gift. I thought you might like it.”
Spencer set his bag down on the counter and took the box from you with the kind of care you’d use to handle something fragile. His long fingers brushed against yours briefly, and you tried not to think too much about the way it made your heart flutter.
“You didn’t have to get me anything,” he said softly, his gaze flickering up to meet yours.
“I wanted to,” you replied, your voice quieter than you intended. “Just… open it.”
He hesitated for a moment, then carefully peeled back the wrapping paper, his movements methodical and deliberate. When he lifted the lid of the box, his breath hitched.
Inside was a leather-bound journal, hand-stitched and worn just enough to give it character. But it wasn’t just the journal itself that made it special. On the first page, you’d written a small note explaining that you’d already filled some of the pages with questions and prompts—things you thought he’d enjoy pondering or writing about. Things that would challenge him or make him smile.
And tucked into the back pocket of the journal was a collection of vintage fountain pens you’d spent weeks hunting down online, knowing how much he loved handwriting notes and letters.
He stared at the journal in stunned silence, his fingers gently tracing the cover. When he finally looked up at you, his eyes were wide and glistening.
“This is…” he trailed off, clearly struggling to find the words. “This is incredible.”
“Do you like it?” you asked nervously, biting your bottom lip.
“Like it?” he repeated, his voice filled with disbelief. “I love it. This is… I don’t even know what to say.”
You laughed softly, relief flooding through you. “You don’t have to say anything. I just… I wanted you to have something that felt like you. Something thoughtful.”
He opened the journal to the first page, his eyes scanning over the note you’d written. You watched as a small, almost shy smile spread across his face, and your chest tightened at how beautiful he looked in that moment.
“This is one of the most thoughtful gifts anyone has ever given me,” he said, his voice quiet but full of emotion.
You felt your cheeks flush under his gaze. “I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you. You’re always so thoughtful with everyone else, Spencer. I figured it was time someone returned the favor.”
He set the journal down on the counter and stepped closer to you, his eyes searching yours with an intensity that made your breath catch.
“Thank you,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “Really. This means so much to me.”
“You’re welcome,” you replied, your voice just as soft.
For a moment, neither of you moved. The air between you felt charged, heavy with something unspoken. And then, just when you thought you might drown in the tension, he reached out and pulled you into a hug.
It wasn’t just any hug, though. It was the kind of hug that made you feel safe, like you were exactly where you were supposed to be. His arms wrapped around you tightly, and you could feel the steady beat of his heart against your chest.
“Thank you,” he murmured again, his voice muffled against your hair.
You closed your eyes, allowing yourself to savor the moment. “You’re welcome, Spencer.”
When he finally pulled back, there was a softness in his expression that you’d never seen before. It made your heart ache in the best way.
“Would you…” he hesitated, looking almost nervous. “Would you want to come over tonight? I’d love to show you how I use the journal. Maybe we could talk about some of the prompts together.”
You blinked, caught off guard by the invitation. But the hopeful look in his eyes made it impossible to say no.
“I’d like that,” you said, smiling softly.
The grin that spread across his face was worth every second of doubt you’d had while planning his gift. And as you left the break room, your heart felt a little lighter, knowing that you’d made Spencer Reid feel as special as he deserved to feel.

On your knees (Sylus x MC)
Summary: Sylus has balls, showing up at your work as if he own the place. Still, you're glad to feel see him.
Character: MC x Sylus
Genre: explicit sexual content, provocative
Pet names: Kitten, Sweetie, Love
Word count: 2,202 | Reading Time: 9 min | AO3
WARNINGS: mdni, blowjob
"Are you crazy?" you whisper to Sylus, shoving him into the cramped maintenance room. "How can you even walk in out of this building?"
Sylus smirks, his eyes glinting in the dim light. "So you're not happy to see me, kitten?"
"That's not the point of this conversation, Sy" you hiss, glancing at the door as if expecting someone to burst in.
The room is suffocatingly small, packed with clutter: shelves crammed with tools, dusty boxes piled in the corners. A single, feeble light bulb dangles overhead, its grimy surface casting a dim, uneven glow over the two of you. You've cornered Sylus against an overcrowded shelf, leaving him nowhere to go.
"I like the look on your face when you're angry"
"Are you not even concerned about getting caught?"
"Caught doing what? Hiding in a closet? Or being the leader of Onychinus and your lover?" His grin widens.
You raise an eyebrow. Sometimes you don't know if he is incredibly bold or just stupid. Walking inside the HQ full of Hunters, in broad daylight, like he owned the place. Why is he even awake?
"Sylus, get out of here" you say, your voice tight with urgency.
He chuckles softly. "You’re the one who shoved me into this closet. Now it’s my fault?"
You click your tongue in irritation, biting back the retort on your lips. Yeah, you didn’t think this through. You sigh, exasperated.
"What are you doing here?" you demand, pressing closer to him, forcing him harder against the shelving. The feeling of his hard chest, is amazing but you can't let that distract you. Focus.
"Business" he replies nonchalantly,
"What kind of business?" Your eyes narrow, suspicion creeping into your tone.
"Sweetie" he drawls, a sly smile curling his lips "are you practising a new interrogation technique? Because I don’t think you’ll get much intel like this. But…" Your instincts kick in, hairs on the back of your neck rising. You know what’s coming—he always does this. You try to step back, to create space, but he moves faster. Before you can escape, he spins you around, reversing the roles. Now you’re the one pinned against the shelf. Sylus tilts your chin up with his fingers, his expression infuriatingly amused. "I could give you the reason, if you let me play a little" he murmurs, his voice a low purr.
"This is not the moment for that" Sylus is already nipping on your neck. Leaving small bites and kisses on it. You need to focus.
"No? I think it's perfect.' As he bites hard you let out a whine and he puts one hand over your mouth. "Careful, sweetie" he whispers with a soft laugh, his breath warm against your skin.
"This... reminds me of the last time we were hiding. But now I have both hands free."
Your eyes widen, a flicker of panic and anticipation coursing through you. Is he planning to take you right here? The thought of it the heat is pooling low in your stomach. Sylus is an expert in making you wet your panties with just a few teasing kisses. Fuck, it’s infuriating—and addictive. You hate how much you love it.
He crashes his lips against yours, first teasing with a slow lick before diving deeper, his tongue exploring your mouth with a hungry urgency. A low growl rumbles from his chest as his hand tangles in your hair, pulling your head back to expose your neck. The move makes your breath hitch. He needs better access, and you can’t deny him.
Heat surges through you like a wildfire, and you’re losing control, piece by piece. With just one kiss he’s ignited all the desire you have for him. You crave more. You want to lose yourself in that mouth, on that lips, they feel so comfortable and warm. Give me more. I want more.
Sylus feels how you relax in his arms. He uses the moment to tighten his grip on you, pulling you closer. His knee slides between your legs, nudging you just right, and a gasp escapes your lips. He smirks against your mouth, and you hate how much that little gesture sets you ablaze. Your hips move instinctively, grinding against his thigh, desperate for friction. The rough fabric of his pants brushes against your bare skin, and you silently thank the gods for your uniform’s shorts today.
He notices—of course, he notices—and his smirk deepens. Sylus finally breaks the kiss, your face is flushed.
"That’s my girl," he murmurs, his voice dark and honeyed, as if he’s rewarding you for giving in to him so easily.
You pussy is a mess already, you can feel how it is watering, pulsing, practically aching. The heat between your thighs almost unbearable You want him. Now. Even your nipples, sensitive under your bra, are stiff and restless. You can’t help but recall how he’s worshipped your breasts before—his hands squeezing them, slapping them, covered in his delicious and hot cum.
"Not so fast, my love" your expression is begging for more. He brushed with his thumb over your swollen lips. "Go on your knees"
You blink, momentarily confused. What did he say? Normally he likes to heat you up, eating you out until you’ve come so many times you’re breathless before he even thinks about his own pleasure. A change in dynamics isn’t unwelcome—it’s just… unexpected.
"You have come all the way here just for a blowjob?" one hand sliding up to rest on his hard dick pressing against this black slack. "Is this the business you needed to attend?
Sylus lets out a low, amused laugh, the sound vibrating in the small, dusty room. You try to regain control, resuming your so-called "interrogation," determined to pry out the real reason for his sudden, reckless appearance. But Sylus, as always, has other plans.
"Go on your knees," he says again, his voice like velvet, wrapping around you and making it impossible to resist. His lips curve into a knowing smirk. "Do that, and I’ll tell you after. Word."
You hesitate for only a moment, but deep down, you know Sylus never breaks his promises. Playing along might actually get you the answers you’re after. And if not... well, the thought of what comes next already has your mouth watering. You want him—desperately. You want to feel him, taste him, make him lose that infuriating composure for once.
With a deep breath, you do as he says. Shifting positions, you sink to your knees before him, the cramped maintenance room fading into the background. Sylus leans back against the shelf, his gaze fixed on you with a predatory glint that sends shivers racing through your body.
Sylus doesn’t break eye contact as he unfastens his pants, his movements slow and deliberate, meant to tease. He pushes down the waistband of his pants and boxers in one fluid motion, freeing himself. His cock springs out, hard and ready, the sight alone making your core clench with need.
A pulse of heat rushes through you, your body reacting instantly. You swallow hard, trying to maintain some semblance of composure, but the ache between your thighs only grows stronger.
Sylus is clearly enjoying the view. You glance up at him, your expression a mix of defiance and silent questioning. Are we really doing this? Here? Inside the HQ?
You’ve clearly lost your mind. Or maybe you lost it the moment you met this man.
His smirk deepens, wicked and commanding. "Lick," he says, his voice low, almost a growl. You don’t need him to tell you twice. You want him—all of him—for yourself.
Leaning in, you run your tongue slowly along his base, savouring the soft hiss that escapes his lips. The sound sends a thrill through you, and you feel a surge of pride knowing you can pull those reactions from him.
One hand steadies you on his thigh, gripping him lightly, while your other hand glides up his leg, fingertips brushing over his skin until it finds its way to his balls.
You play with his tip, before opening your mouth, taking him all the way in. It feels so good. Despite how big he is, you make the effort to reach the base. When you feel safe, you start moving, back and forth. It tastes so good.
He doesn't usually let you take control, almost never, but this is incredible. Even though he initiated it, you can control how you suck him.
Your saliva begins to drip down your chin, a soft trail of moisture marking your movements. The sound of sucking, your quiet sighs, and the laboured rhythm that’s both slow and deliberate, savouring the taste of him, the heat, the way his body responds to each touch.
You can hear Sylus, his own breath ragged, soft groans escaping him as his fingers curl into your hair, guiding you with gentle pressure.
Sylus leans down a bit, his voice low and steady, but there’s an edge to it now. "That’s it… just like that…" His words drift off, swallowed by the sound of your movements.
It’s so rare to hear him like this, a vulnerability in his voice that’s almost impossible to ignore. The sound of him—soft and unguarded—pulls you deeper into the moment, making everything else fade away.
Your body aches with need, every instinct screaming for release, but hearing him, drawing those sounds from him, is even more intoxicating. You want to touch yourself, to feel the same pleasure coursing through you, but you hold back.
"Oh, faster..." you can tell he’s close, his breath uneven, the tension in his body growing with every passing second.
You decide to take a chance, pausing your movements for a moment to interrupt his pleasure, switching to using your hand instead. But the look Sylus gives you—a dark, almost predatory expression—sends a shiver down your spine. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea.
"Love..." he murmurs, his voice low and commanding, a warning. He removes your hand from him gently but firmly, before gripping your chin with his other hand. The pressure of his thumb on your lower lip forces you to open your mouth, the dominance in his touch undeniable. "You're not done" he says, making it clear you’ve only just begun.
You hesitate for only a moment before obeying, your breath catching in your throat as you follow his lead. Sylus stuffed his dick in your mouth. He grabs your hair firmly but without hurting you. His pace is demanding, relentless, but there's a rhythm to it, and you can’t help but feel drawn deeper into the intensity of the moment. Tears fall from the effort, your jaw begins to hurt. Sylus is fucking your mouth, and the feeling is priceless. You roll your eyes back in your head.
"Such a good kitten for me." Sylus tries to keep himself under control. Seeing your pretty face, making such erotic expressions, he wants to ruin you in every possible way. But not there, in this instant he is happy to fuck you like that.
The air around you grows heavier, charged with the energy of the moment, and you can feel your own pulse quickening. You're so cock drunk. Right now, you don’t care if anyone finds you like this. You just want to feel Sylus cum on your tongue. You look up at him, your eyes meeting his with a silent understanding. Letting him know that you're ready for him to cum. The moment seems to stretch, suspended in time.
"Ready?" you try to nod while he thrust your mouth even deeper and quicker. You feel his cock pulse and get even harder. It's a sensation you love on your tongue. You hear him moaning softly and then you feel it, his cum filling you, sweet and hot. Sylus keeps fucking you as you try to drink his juice.
Sylus releases his grip on your hair, his hands moving quickly to pull you toward him. His lips find yours in a desperate kiss, hungry and urgent. The intensity of it consumes you. He doesn't mind to taste himself in your mouth. The kiss breaks for just a moment, and you’re both left gasping.
"Did I hurt you?" you shake your head. It was amazing. Sylus lick the rest of his cum from you lips and chin. "Good"
"Now, tell me, why are you here?" you ask, your voice steady despite the heat still lingering between you.
Sylus laughs softly, the sound rich and dark, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "I have a meeting with your... boss," he replies nonchalantly, glancing at his watch. "Actually, it was supposed to be fifteen minutes ago. Time really flies when I’m with you, sweetie."
He takes a slow breath, shifting slightly, before reaching into his pocket. With a smooth motion, he hands you the key to his car. "Do me a favor," he says, his voice almost casual "You know what to do if things go south." The nonchalance of his request catches you off guard.
"Wait for me" Sylus says, his voice low and smooth, a promise hidden within the words. "Then I can take care of you at my place."

meddling, pt. 3
pairing: azriel x reader
word count: 1.9k - i will never not be a yapper
summary: ah, my favorite little adorable pair. part three of the meddling series. reader wants to thank azriel for being so kind to her since her arrival at the house of wind several months ago. she gifts him with a silver chain. azriel loses his mind. fluff, so much fluff.
warnings: none, except for potential cavities from the sweetness.
a/n: this was the brain child of a post that i made thirsting over azriel wearing a chain & rings. someone commented on that post and suggested i incorporate that into this series. and here we are. probably my favorite piece of writing that i've done so far, ok. i'm simple. pining azriel makes me weak. enjoy! <3
read part one & two
you clutched the tiny, wrapped gift box in your hands, your fingers moving to glide along the cobalt blue silk bow adorning the lid.
you felt jittery, nervous. butterflies had taken flight throughout your chest and belly, relentless wings swirling.
you supposed this gesture wouldn't strike azriel as odd, or out of left field. after all, the male had been going out of his way for you for months.
his warm, kind gestures toward you as he sat next to you during your first dinner at the house of wind - you'd been so petrified, but he took you under his wing (literally). the kind, soft eyes he'd given you. he'd served your plate, giving you hushed anecdotes about each dish so you could choose what you'd wanted to indulge in. you hadn't admitted it, but you only chose to try azriel's favorite foods.
then, the sweater. he'd given you one of his oversized sweaters to snuggle into. you'd mentioned to him one time that you often froze, no matter the weather conditions, and he'd somehow remembered that detail - presenting you with the best solution he could muster. now that you knew him a bit better, you weren't sure if he'd actually remembered you admitting how cold you always were, or if that fact was just something he was able to observe himself. he was the spymaster, after all. maybe you were just easy to read.
if you were to actually ask azriel, he'd say that he remembered every word you'd ever spoken. every detail, every slight reaction. and it wasn't because it was his job to do so - wasn't because rhys had ordered him to watch over you seven months ago upon your arrival to the house of wind. no, you no longer needed his watchful eye. you were settled in, comfortable, part of the family.
he remembered the words you spoke because he hung onto every word that left your lips.
today, you sat in that favorite armchair of yours in the private library on the third floor - as always. you glanced over to the large shelf closest to you, a smile slowly spreading across your lips as you took in the romance books neatly lined before you. the romance books that azriel had removed from an obscenely tall shelf that was completely unreachable. to you, at least - unless you felt like scaling the entire thing.
he was so observant. he'd noted your favorite genre, remembered that you struggled to reach that row of books. took time out of his day to rearrange the entire left side of the library in favor of making you more comfortable. and now, here you sat. your favorite novels within arm's reach at any given moment, all because of this achingly kind male.
yes, he deserved this gift. he'd done so much, you wished you were able to bestow him with more. you were wearing his sweater again today, but this one was different. he's since presented you with four more sweaters from his closet, although he hadn't grown less bashful about offering them over to you - even though your reaction is always the same. blushing, bright eyes staring up at him in wonder as you grip the fabric and hold it to your melting heart.
and azriel, he revels in those moments. he can't help the sense of pure pride that warms his entire body from the inside out. he couldn't stop doing things for you if he tried, your smile and twinkling eyes circulating throughout his bloodstream like the first hit of a drug so strong, it threatened to bring him to his knees.
you took a deep breath, eyes flitting towards the elegant grandfather clock to your left. he'd normally stroll into the library around this time each day, joining you to read in silent, comfortable companionship.
and, like clockwork, that feisty, stray tendril of shadow that you'd come to love twirled through the crack in the wooden double doors with a flourish. it darted straight towards you, as it always did - worrying over you for a moment each time it found you. you'd imagined it was giving you a general once-over to make sure you were safe and content. it was much like its master in that regard.
the shadow looped through your fingers and hands, taking notice of the gift box that was sitting on your lap. it focused its attention there momentarily, swirling through the silky bow that matched the color of azriel's siphons - a detail you'd hoped he didn't find weird.
azriel made his appearance a second later, pushing through the doors with a book held under his arm. he moved with so much grace, despite his tall, muscular frame. he was astonishing to watch, even if the action was something completely mundane. tearing your eyes from him sometimes felt impossible, the allure he possessed was almost suffocating - but in the sweetest way.
he didn't even try to hide the fact that his sights were set on you immediately. he used to give a sweeping glance of the entire space before he allowed himself to find you, but now, he looked for you first - and you were always there. he felt any lingering tension within his body melt into the floor beneath him.
"hey, you," you spoke tenderly towards him, and the smile that he gave you made your chest warm.
he approached you, as he always did, unable to stay too far away. his eyes raked down your torso, never tiring of the feeling of seeing you in his clothing.
"i think this one is my favorite on you," he noted, eyes turning to molten honey as he took you in.
you preened at this, making a mental note to don this particular sweater a little more than the others.
"i, uh, i have something for you," you started, extending the small gift box towards him. now you knew how he felt, waiting to see if you'd accept the items of his clothing each time he presented you with them. you held your arm out without wavering, even though you felt a bit silly now.
his cheeks tinted a light shade of pink, and he studied the box in your hand for a moment. it wasn't lost on him that you'd chosen a bow that was the exact color of his blazing siphons. he felt his heart lurch against his ribcage at the realization.
"it's just a little something," you started again, voice woven with a nervous undertone at his continued silence. "i wanted to thank you for being so kind to me since i've arrived," you cleared your throat. "you've really made this place feel like ... like a home," you finished, giving him a shy, tentative smile. he could tell by the look in your eyes that you were pleading with him to accept it. you didn't have to beg him - well. maybe he'd like that, in other circumstances. however, not now, not for this.
a small smile spread across his lips at your last words. a home. he'd made someone feel like they were home, and that was enough of a gift for azriel. several times since meeting you, he'd felt as though his heart was swelling uncontrollably, growing beyond the confines of his chest. like you were somehow nurturing and tending to it. this was one of those times.
he reached a scarred hand towards the box, taking it from you gently. "y/n," he traced the bow with his fingers, slowly tugging the ribbon apart. "you really, really didn't have to do this. i just wanted you to be comfortable here, with us," he flicked his soft eyes towards yours, and you were doing that thing you did when you were nervous - fiddling with your fingers. he wanted to grab your hands then, run his lips along your knuckles, kiss each fingertip slowly. i will love it no matter what it is, he thought to himself, please don't be so nervous.
you dipped your chin at his words, huffing a small, breathy little laugh. "well, i am, az. comfortable here. with you," you tucked a piece of hair behind your ear, and azriel trembled with the urge to gently place the delicate gift box aside in favor of gently tugging your delicate body towards his instead.
he took a deep breath then, composing himself, as he lifted the lid from the box. inside was a custom-made, silver curb link chain. one that was long enough to rest right in the middle of his clavicle. small, glimmering cobalt blue stones were hand-set throughout - only able to be seen when the light hit them a certain way. but when the light did hit them, they were stunning. the surface of the gems danced with the fragments of light as though they were on fire, alive.
this made him think of you: the light that found his shadows, setting him aflame.
his breath caught in his throat, and he lifted the chain from the silk pillow that it rested on. he loved it. absolutely, wholeheartedly, loved it. it was powerful-looking, strong. the best gift he ever remembered receiving.
now, you'd be lying if you said this present wasn't also - maybe, sorta kinda - for your benefit. his strong, tanned neck hugged by a silver chain? gods. okay, yeah, this was slightly indulgent on your part.
but, in your defense, azriel had begun sporting silver signet rings on several of his elegant fingers. you thought a similarly-fashioned chain would tie the look together nicely. this was just a product of your own observant nature. really, that's all it was.
...
azriel let out an exhale of astonishment, meeting your eyes with widened ones of his own.
"this, is - i mean. beautiful. this is - thank you," he breathed out, setting the now-empty box, and the book he'd been cradling under his arm, down beside you. he gently began working at the clasp of the chain, his movements so careful, you could tell he was trying his hardest not to break it - ruin it.
you stood up before him, taking a step so that you were right in front of his towering frame. "here," you whispered, tenderly taking the chain from his hands. you unclasped it with ease, standing on your tip-toes to reach behind his neck - wanting to place it on him. he ducked his head for you politely, allowing you to see what you were doing a bit better.
you were so close to him, and with his head ducked down towards you, his chin was nearly resting on your shoulder. you fought every instinct within your body that was screaming at you to move closer, breathe deeper, inhale his scent, touch him.
but you didn't. you held your composure, clasping the necklace around his neck - making sure to be careful of his wings.
azriel had his eyes closed, also fighting similar urges of his own. he wanted so badly to rest his face within the crook of your neck, wrap his arms around the middle of your back, tug you into him.
two lovesick idiots, silently pining for the other.
necklace now adorning his neck, you stepped back. azriel stood to his full height once more, and he peered down at you with a gaze that he fought to keep friendly - instead of one that screamed complete adoration.
"well," he croaked out, swallowing thickly. your eyes darted to the movement, watching his adam's apple bob beneath the silver jewelry.
you were fucked.
"how's it look?", he continued, his hand reaching towards his neck to trace the smooth, curbed chain.
it was your turn to swallow hard, which of course, he noticed. he fought a smirk, especially when he witnessed your cheeks growing hot.
you pursed your lips together, trying your best to think of a response that wasn't akin to a dog barking.
"it's -," you sighed thoughtfully, smiling warmly up at him, "you look very handsome," you stated playfully, hooking a finger underneath the chain, tugging him towards you lightly.
he faltered for a moment, almost stumbling into you. not because of your light tug, but because of your words. handsome. he loved that compliment - was one of his favorites. however, the one bit of praise that always sent him to his knees was being called pretty.
"so pretty, az," you whispered again, seemingly more to yourself than to him, eyes caught on his neck.

“you know you are my favourite fantasy”
💿now playing: wildflower by 5 seconds of summer

❯ summary: Chenle just has to make it through one more round of twister. Then, you and his friends can leave and he can take care of the boner growing in his pants from your limbs grazing over his crotch every turn. Yeah, that’s his plan. Just one more round.
❯ pairings: chenle x fem!reader
❯ genre: friends to lovers, smut
❯ words: 4.0k
❯ tags: 18+ minors dni!, light petting, male masturbation, explicit descriptions of chenle's thoughts while he gets off, voyeurism, hand jobs, literally just horny chenle, reader uses she/her pronouns.
"Chenle, left foot, green," Jisung announces.
It's just a game of Twister, Chenle keeps reminding himself as the colourful spinner dictates his next move. So why is he feeling so flustered? He needs to get a grip. Like he said, it's just a fucking game for Christ’s sake, one that families play on holidays. There's no reason for him to be turned on right now, but he is.
"Dude, will you hurry up? I don’t think I can handle Jaemin's ass in my face much longer," Haechan grumbles from his awkward position on the board, head perched to the side to avoid eye contact with the back of Jaemin's jeans.
"Stop pretending you don’t love my ass."
Chenle feels no sympathy for Haechan; after all, this stupid game was his idea. He's the reason Chenle keeps having to conjure up the most unsexy thoughts imaginable to suppress the growing bulge in his pants.
It all started with a trip to the mall earlier in the day. Chenle had turned his back for just five minutes to go to the bathroom, and when he returned, he found his friends gathered around the ridiculous board game on the shelf.
"Come on, it'll be fun," Haechan insisted, while Jaemin practically bounced with excitement.
Chenle thought it was stupid; he's never been any good at Twister. But they all begged and pleaded to buy the game instead of sticking to the original movie night plans Chenle had organised for their traditional Friday night hangouts. And truthfully, Chenle had no intention of playing the game, let alone buying it. That is, until you stepped off the wall you were leaning against to join the conversation.
You strode over to pick up the box Haechan was clutching onto and inspected it. Chenle's gaze was fixed on your fingers as they tapped the package gently. It was surprising how everyone instantly fell silent from the shock of you wanting to get involved in their antics for a change.
"Come on, Lele, Haechan has a point. It does look fun," you encouraged.
Chenle's attention immediately shifted to your puppy-dog eyes, and he swore they were strong enough to break his willpower. Or maybe it was the way your lips protruded in a practised pout, staring up expectantly at him. Actually, now that he thinks about it, it was definitely the soft and eager "Please," that you uttered that had him heading straight to the counter with the box and his wallet.
That's what landed him here now. Stupid you and your stupid eyes and your even more stupidly cute smile.
“Chenle did you hear me?!” Jisung waves the spinner in front of his face, “Left foot, green.”
He snaps back to attention, finally shifting his left foot to a green circle.
“Fucking finally,” Haechan murmurs, “Sung, spin it for me.”
Jisung complies, giving Haechan his next instruction. Haechan begins to twist his body through the gap between Jaemin’s legs – he just needs to stretch a little more to reach the blue target in his vision. But then…
“Ow, what the fuck?!” Jaemin groans, his ass crashing down on the board from Haechan’s manoeuvring between his limbs.
“That was totally your fault! If you didn’t wriggle your body at the last second I wouldn’t have—”
"Nobody cares, Haechan. You're out. Off the board," Chenle grits through his teeth. He can't stand the arguing; it only prolongs the silly game for him, and he doesn’t want that – he doesn't need that. He just wants to get this all over with.
But as Haechan and Jaemin move away from the board he realises that won’t be so easy because you and him are the last two players standing. Chenle gulps, the realisation hitting him like a truck. He’s the only player left that you can tangle your limbs up with.
He doesn’t need this – this is what he’s been trying to avoid thinking about all night. You’ve only innocently brushed him this round, nothing overtly explicit. But just seeing you contort and arch alone was enough to trigger a twisted fantasy in his mind.
Chenle considers forfeiting. Sure, he's a little competitive, but he’d rather lose than pop a boner in front of all his friends while playing the old-school classic game of Twister. He also knows Haechan would complain, insisting that the winner was rigged and therefore there needs to be a rematch. Chenle does not need a rematch.
He just needs to focus. Keep his head in the game for a little while longer. Then, you and his friends can leave. Yeah, that’s the plan. He just needs to breathe.
Chenle composes himself, hastily waving his finger in Jisung’s direction. “It’s her spin.”
“Y/N, right-hand yellow.”
You’re already reclining, distributing your weight between a palm and a back foot. And you’re just as competitive, so when Jisung issues the instruction, you aim for the dot directly beneath Chenle but still behind him, manoeuvring beneath him for your hand to brush past his thigh before landing on the target.
Chenle almost stumbles at the slight touch, and it makes you raise an eyebrow. Was he ticklish or something?
“Y/N, that’s cheat–”
“Oh, so when she touches you, it’s cheating, but when Jaemin wiggles, I get told to get off the board,” Haechan complains. “I see how it is.”
“Be quiet, Haechan,” Jisung says, and Chenle is thankful for the intervention as he shushes the boy and flicks the spinner with his hand. “Left hand, red.”
Chenle looks down at the position you’re both in right now. So far, luck had been on his side as he was still on two feet, but you, you were on all fours and very close to him. He’d be lying if he said he hadn’t thought about looking down to see you pooled at his feet, looking up at him with pretty eyes, but he never imagined it like this.
The fact that this is all happening in front of his friends should be enough to kill his boner, but he’s still turned on. Not only was just the position of you on all fours tantalizing enough to begin with, but your last spin caused arms to cross over one another, pushing your breasts together.
Damn.
Chenle bites the bullet and goes for it, his body fully covering yours as he plants his right hand in front of him. In theory, his plan sounded like a good idea; if he places his right hand on the red dot behind you, he can just hover over you and then he won’t have to see you looking up at him with those pretty tits, he so desperately wants to fuck, on display.
But that was all in theory, because Chenle may have overlooked one massive fatal flaw. The new position places his crotch right in front of your face, and Chenle hadn’t even registered that until he could feel your hot breath against the fabric of his sweatpants.
This is not good.
Chenle can’t help but panic, he knows being like this, his clothed cock so close to your lips, he’s not gonna be able to hide his growing erection any longer. His cheeks flush, he doesn’t know how much more he can take, but he still tries to compose himself.
It’s just a game of twister.
“Y/N, right-hand green.”
Chenle thanks the heavens when he hears Jisung tell you to move your right hand because it’s that hand that’s already put him in this stupid predicament. You move to a red dot and it helps create some space between your lips and his groin. And Chenle thinks the Earth is finally on his side, because Jisung’s next instruction is for him.
“Left-hand blue.”
This seems perfect, he thinks. He can simply shift the hand that caused him to hover over you behind him. That should work. And it does, but only for a little while. Because on Jisung’s next instruction, you’re reaching over Chenle's shoulder with a hand, but your reach isn’t quite good enough, and he doesn’t know how much longer he can keep himself balanced on one arm.
Then it happens – you land on top of him, and the room fills with whoops and cheers as the game comes to an end. But Chenle can’t comprehend that because all he can think about is you, and how your body is pressed on his, tits crushing him and looking so delectable.
He sees you laughing, and God, how he adores your smile. He almost loves it as much as he loves how close you are to him, almost. You feel so warm, and he wants you to stay there forever, wrapped up in him as he... well, his thoughts suddenly take a more heated turn.
Damn, he’s getting hard.
No, fuck, he’s getting hard with you on top of him.
Without hesitation, Chenle brushes you off him and rises to his feet. He hastily adjusts his sweats to conceal his bulge, but nothing can disguise the sudden shift in his mood, which casts a frosty chill over the atmosphere.
“Dude, you good?” Mark asks.
“Yeah, I'm fine,” Chenle responds, his voice strained as he tries to sound casual.
The vibes in the room have turned awkward, suffocating almost. All he can think about is you, and he just wants this whole shit show to be over.
“Hey, why don't we call it a night?” he suggests, trying to mask the urgency in his tone. “I mean, it's getting late, and I'm sure we all have stuff to do tomorrow.”
You exchange glances with the others, sensing Chenle's unease, but you all agree to pack up and leave. As you gather your things and head towards the door, Chenle can't shake the image of you out of his mind. All he wants is to be alone, to explore the thoughts and desires that have been swirling in his head ever since the game started – he wants to deal with his boner.
Once you’re gone, Chenle lets out a sigh of relief, finally able to breathe again. But even with the apartment empty, his mind is still consumed by thoughts of you. He knows he needs to get a grip, but the memory of your touch, your laughter, lingers in the air, and he can't help but crave you.
He can’t control himself anymore, he just feels so needy. He sits down on the sofa, eyes fluttering shut as he thinks. He lets his tongue slip out from between his lips and one hand travels down his body, over his hoodie until he reaches the waistband of his sweatpants.
He can still feel the warmth of your breath there, and he’s harder than a rock, but this time there's no need to hide it. He wastes no time slipping inside the fabric to palm himself, his hands cool and rough. He savours the feeling of rubbing his long, thick length slowly with both hands, imagining it's your body taking him in, and filling you to the hilt.
You.
The girl he could never quite shake. The girl who Jisung had introduced to the group a couple of years ago. The girl who started hanging out with them more often, securing her invite to ‘boy’s night’ at his place. The girl who he’d found himself having the same interests as. The girl who was seconds ago brushing soft fingers over his body while playing Twister.
His friend.
His mouth parts and he thrust his cock up into his fisted hands. Precum lubes the tip of his head as he spreads it around with his thumb, gently rubbing the slick up and down himself. Needing more glide, he spits into his hand and rubs it down his length, coating his cock. He knows that when he finally gets to bury himself inside of you he won’t need spit, you’ll be fucking soaking for him, he’ll make sure of it.
He squeezes his eyes shut and groans. He needed this, badly. It had been a long night of your body bending, spinning and twisting – and fuck – remembering the way your back curved so delicately in the first round.
Not to mention you’d worn leggings that clung to your skin and a T-shirt that dipped low enough to flash everyone. Skimpy shit that you insisted were your ‘comfortable clothes’. He doesn’t believe that for a second – but he’s not complaining. They may have killed him when he was trying to hide his arousal, but now he’s glad he’s got a more accurate image for his thoughts.
Thoughts that include him wanting nothing more than to feel your body beneath his, sweating and used. Panting. Hair wild and a mess, as his fingers explore every inch of your flesh. He wants you wet enough that your arousal seeps over your thighs. He wants his cum dripping out your mouth, down your chin, and pooling on your tits.
He wants you filthy.
Fuck.
He palms himself up and down again, gritting his teeth and throwing his head back against the sofa.
He wants to bend you over, stretch you out. He wants to make you beg for him, writhe for him. Mould you to be his perfect little toy. If you could see him panting as he indulgently strokes himself to thoughts of you he’s sure you’d be flushed, embarrassed.
The image has him shuddering and thrusting his cock up into his hand again. And again. And again.
Fuck. What would you say if you knew? If you walked in and saw him?
You couldn’t blame him. Nobody forced you to insist on the game of Twister. Nobody forced you to trace your delicate little hands across his legs and arms and shoulders as you found the coloured circles. Nobody forced you to stumble on top of him, your grip holding his shoulders to find balance, immediately triggering his mind with thoughts of you riding him.
And fuck – nobody forced you to be that flexible.
His arms begin to ache at the punishing speed, but he couldn't stop. He wouldn’t stop. It felt too good. He hisses at the smooth glide over the sensitive underside of his head, head falling back again as he curses.
He knows you’d beg for it - just like he is.
“Fuck, Y/N…”

You and Haechan are making your way through Chenle’s building, en route to the parking lot. Haechan had insisted on you driving him home tonight, citing that "Ubers are too expensive in this economy." But as you both walk towards the car, your mind starts to wander.
Chenle's behaviour tonight was odd.
He never ends your Friday night hangouts early, and his sudden shift in demeanour was quite... uncharacteristic. Moreover, he's usually very competitive, yet there were numerous instances during the game where he could have easily nudged or jostled you, but he refrained. It was almost as if you were a hot stove, and he feared getting burned by touching you.
Was he coming down with a cold or something? Whatever it was you don’t like it, and you’re about to ask Haechan about it. However, as your hand reaches into your jacket pocket, you realize: shit, you left your car keys.
"Mind waiting here? I left my keys back there," you inform Haechan and he looks at you unimpressed.
He groans dramatically, “Y/N, it’s freezing out.”
"Relax, I'll be back in five minutes tops," you assure him.
"I knew I should've gone home with Jisung.”
You quirk an eyebrow, "What was that?"
"Nothing, just hurry up."
You return to Chenle’s building, taking the elevator up and walking down the halls. You hoped he hadn’t retired to bed if he was feeling unwell. Unfortunately, you can't even send him a quick text because your phone is with your keys.
You're slightly puzzled as you reach Chenle's door and find it open just a crack, unusual for him as he typically locks up immediately after everyone leaves. Concern creeps in — did something happen to him?
Anxiety triggers, and though you know you should knock and give him some warning that you're entering his apartment, your rational mind seems to switch off. And then it fogs because you just realised what you’ve just walked into.
Chenle’s head is thrown back with shut eyes, lips parted just a touch as he fists his cock. He groans, the motions causing a loud sloppy sound. His hand goes past the base of his cock and he grabs his balls, tugging at them with a whine.
He fucking whined.
You have to fight every urge not to gasp because the sight sends heat to the place between your legs, wetness pooling in your panties because he looks so hot, so unfiltered, raw and erotic. His face is so relaxed, his breath uneven, and you wonder what has got him so worked up. He looked like he was ready to kill moments ago.
“Fuck Y/N…”
What the fuck?
Chenle sounds like he’s on the brink of an orgasm…to your name. Were you hearing it correctly? If only you could see better, peer further into his apartment, and realize that you'd made this whole thing up, then you could relax – you could curse your mind for playing such a cruel hot joke on you.
So you do, you creek the door open and that’s when you see his abs begin to quiver and his eyebrows knit tighter together. It was visible that he was getting close and he let out an involuntary yell, hips bucking as his hand pumps harder.
Your thighs rub together, and your legs threaten to tremble from the sight. You'd never imagined yourself being so turned on from watching someone else get off, but here you are, and you don't think you've ever been more aroused.
And perhaps you’re a little too aroused because you don’t even realise that Chenle’s hand has stopped stroking because he’s staring straight at you, eyes wide looking like a deer in headlights. His cheeks are red and he’s awkwardly stuffing his very hard cock back into his sweats.
“Oh shit! Fuck! I’m sorry,” you stumble over your words as you turn around, giving him a little bit of privacy.
Chenle is at a loss for words. While he might have entertained the idea of you catching him, he never expected it to actually happen. And he certainly hadn't anticipated just how hot the glint of lust in your eyes as you watched him would be.
“No, it’s my fault…I should have locked the door.”
You’re still facing away from him, looking at his apartment walls when he stands to his feet and walks closer to you. You can feel the heat radiating off his body as he settles behind you. It’s a delicious warmth and if you weren’t just caught being a fucking perv, you would have let yourself bask in it.
“N-No, I should have knocked, I just came to get my keys, I’m so so sorry–”
“Y/N will you just look at me?”
He cuts you off and you feel him wrap a hand around your wrist. You wonder if it’s the same one that was wrapped around his cock and – fuck Y/N – now is not the time.
His gentle tug compels you to turn around and face him. You can't bring yourself to meet his eyes; instead, yours remain fixed on the floor. Still, you can feel the intensity of his gaze burning into your forehead.
"How long were you standing there?" His voice breaks the silence, prompting your mouth to open and close, resembling a fish for a moment as you process his question.
"I-I um, not long," you stammer out.
“Not long?” He raises an eyebrow, “Were you planning on standing there until I came or what?”
Your mouth goes dry as the realization dawns upon you because, yes, that's exactly what you were planning on doing. You wanted to witness what he looked like when he reached his climax, to see if he could possibly look any sexier than he already did as an orgasm washed over him.
“Lele—”
"You know," his finger reaches up to rest beneath your chin, trailing along your jawline until he has a firm grip, coaxing your eyes to meet his. "If you wanted to see me cum, the least you could have done was offer to help."
"W-what?" Your eyes widen in surprise.
"You heard me," he smirks confidently. "You gonna help me or what, Y/N?"
You bite your lip and nod, your hand dances along the hem of his sweats slipping inside to feel the length of his cock. It twitches in your grasp, and it doesn’t surprise you since he looked so close to his peak only seconds ago.
Chenle sucks in a breath, he’s thought about this moment plenty, and today specifically, he’s been so pent up about it. He focuses on the feeling of your touch, slow but effective as you tease him. And Chenle swears he almost drools at the sight of you collecting his precum and licking it off your thumb – it’s so filthy – just as he fantasised.
The sounds coming from his mouth are heavenly and sinful all the same, echoing in your ears. Your hand hovers over his length again, only starting to stroke when he bucks his hips. The rutting of his hips forces you to quicken the pace and his breath is all but shallow gasps.
Chenle can’t help the way his abdomen tenses, and his eyes find themselves falling on your low-cut top that had earlier been teasing him with your tits as you contorted your body for a stupid board game. Chenle thinks the view paired with your vigorous stroking might be enough for him to blow his load in his pants.
He's whining. He needs it. He’s chasing it.
He spasms as you continue frantically fucking him with your fist. He meets your touches grunting and cursing with every thrust. He bites down hard on his lips when you grab his balls cupping and pulling and squeezing until you know his high is ready to hit him like a steam train.
Chenle’s body tenses, thrusting his cock as hard as he can manage. His stomach contracts as stars cloud his mind and he moans out your name. His body has never been hit by this much blinding bliss before – especially not from just a hand job. But still, his legs buckle and he has to steady himself on the wall behind him.
“Fuck Y/N! Just like that, gonna cum.”
Unashamed, his eyes roll back as cum shoots violently from his pulsing cock and all over your hand. His voice rings out clear and desperate with yells in the air. Long strings of hot cum coat your fingers, each rope eliciting another groan. Another clench. Another bliss.
You bite your lip, relishing the explicit sight of Chenle as he rides out his orgasm. Despite being soaked through with arousal yourself, your own pleasure takes a backseat; witnessing him in such a state – sweat glistening on his forehead, eyes glazed with ecstasy – is more than enough to satisfy you.
As you withdraw your hand from his sweats, you both gaze at the white substance coating your fingers. You're almost tempted to tease him with it, to watch him shiver as you lick it off your fingers, but that fantasy is abruptly cut short when the front door swings open.
“Seriously how hard can it be to find some damn keys—”
Haechan takes one glance at your glistening hand and the wet patch on Chenle’s pants and puts the pieces together. Then, he looks at you his eyes squeezing as he grimaces.
“If you left me in the freezing cold for fifteen minutes to give Chenle a fucking hand job, I'm going to kill both of you."

60 SECONDS 𝕼. ( 방찬 )

synopsis … one minute; he turned his head for one minute, 60 seconds — and he lost everything …
𝕼 ㅤ𓈒ㅤ𓈒 yeni’s note .ᐟ i talked about this fic a while ago and i just now decided to write cause im watching a zombie tv show ..
one minute; he turned his head for one minute, 60 seconds — and he lost everything. his only reason for surviving this hell he called a life.
when chan found you three years ago; the rotten corpses had already taken over, the streets no longer looked the same. the skies seemed to be a permanent grey, the smell of blood and rotten flesh engraved on everything, you couldn’t escape it. chan wasn’t alone, no he had his brothers that he took care of with no question; which was what he was doing when he found you — and you added a little bit of life to his dark depressing life.
he was looking for supplies in one of the rundown stores in town to take back to the house on the outskirts of town where it was mostly safe — not completely safe but they could rest their heads. he’d been searching for something that jeongin wanted, although they were in a tough situation he still tried to do things to lift their spirits… even if that meant looking for small things such as chocolate.
he heard the zombie before he heard your whimpering. pulling the knife out his pocket, ready to stab the corpse in the head — turning the corner to see you scrunched in a ball on the floor, the zombies foot was stuck under a shelf so he was confused why haven’t you moved. “please kill it.” you looked up at him. he watched you close your eyes, before punching the knife into the already dead things head. “get up.” he wiped the blood on his pants legs.
you stood up; backpack on. “thank you.” you said. “why don’t you have a weapon?” he asked. “they didn’t give me one.” you said. “you have a team? where are they?” you shrugged. “they left me.” you said; makes sense. “they left you alone without a weapon, when?” he said. “yesterday.”
“so you’ve survived by pure luck.” you nodded, smiling. which made him chuckle. “and chocolate that i stole out of that box over there.” you unzipped the bag taking a bar out. “here , for killing that thing over there.” you handed him the chocolate. “i’ll be on my way now.” you grimaced as you stepped over the thing. “gross.” he knew you wouldn’t make it another night without a weapon; he wasn’t sure if you’d even survive with one. “hold on.” he said , stopping you in your tracks. “yeah?” you asked, he felt a warmness spreading through his body the way you smiled at him. “come home with me, i can help you.”
over the past three year he’s fallen deeper in love with you; you’ve become such a beacon of light for everyone in the house; even when you’re all covered in blood from fighting off the zombies or down to the last rations of your food, you still find a way to make all of them smile, or laugh.
you were his only source of light in his life; and in five seconds it was all snatched away from him. you weren’t even supposed to be out with him , but felix who normally went with him on these runs, hurt his ankle with fighting off a zombie so you volunteered to replace him. chan tried to tell you no, just let him go alone, but as much as he loved you he could also admit you could be stubborn — god did he wish he forced you to stay in and let him go alone.
the moment he heard your screams of pain; he felt his whole world crashing down on top of him. “yn!” he ran through the aisle of the supermarket looking for you. “help me please!” he couldn’t have run any faster , knife in hand , plunging it deep inside its head — but it was too late. “ch-chan.” you stared at him with teary eyes. “no.” he said. “you’re fine , you’re gonna be fine.” but you both knew it was a lie; you saw the bite mark on your leg. “you’re gonna be fine.”
“chan you have to let me go.” he ran back to the house with you in his arms. “no , we have time to fix this , we can fix this.” he said through his own tears. “do-do what chan?” you said. “fucking something!” he shouted , almost kicking the door off the hinges. “whoa , what’s wrong!?.” the boys jumped ready for whatever. “help , please help.” he called out for minho who he always went to when he didn’t know what to do. “chan.” minho stared at his friend; someone who never showed emotions like this breakdown. “you know there’s nothing we can do.” you felt him squeezing you tighter. “chan.” you whispered; he pushed past everyone to take you back to the room you shared.
“what is he doing?” changbin said; everyone could feel the heaviness their friend had on his heart. “just give him time.” minho said. “he doesn’t have that much time, he knows what he has to do.”
“chan- please don’t say anything.” he whispered against your skin. “but i have to say something.” you said with a weak smile. “i want you to do it.” he closed his eyes, sucking in a breath. “i-i can’t.” he said. “i can’t do it.” he could feel the tears welding in his eyes. “please , we both know you don’t want the boys to do it.” you were right; you always were… he wished you were wrong this time. “come here.” you pulled him close. “i love you okay?” you ran your fingers through his curly hair. “say you love me back.”
“of course i love you.” he said. “i don’t think i’ve loved anyone else as much as i love you.” he pressed his lips against yours, his lips were salty from his tears. “ch-chan.” you felt his lips on your neck, your hand gripping his hair sighing. “we-we can’t.” he didn’t say anything, lifting your shirt above your hips. “please just let me do this.” he kissed right above your waist. “please.” he looked up with a pleading look. “ok-okay.” he pulled your pants down , being mindful of your leg. “baby.” he choked out , kissing in between your thighs. “chris.” you moaned out as he kissed your clothed cunt. “chan i need you.”
he wasted no time , pulling your panties off , diving right into your cunt. “chan fuck!” you moaned as he licked and sucked on your clit. he licked your cunt like he was a starving man, holding your legs open as his nose brushed on your sensitive bud. “chan , channie im not gonna last.” you moaned , grinding your hips against his mouth. “fuck , im gonna cum.” he felt your grip tightening on his hair as you came on his tongue. “oh my god.”
he pulled away; his lips glistening. “i need you chan.” you pulled at his waist. “please.” he unbuckled his pants, pulling his pants down enough to free his cock. “shh baby.” he kissed your forehead, whispering. “i got you.” you hissed feeling him entering you; his cock stretching you out. “chan!” you moaned as he fully bottomed out. “fu-fuck.” he cursed , moving his hips, slowly grinding into you. “fuck you feel so good.”
every good memory he shared with you ran through his mind as he began to pick up his speed. every small thing you did for him. “fu-fuck chan i love you so much.” you moaned out. “fuck me , chan.” you screamed his name. he didn’t want this to end; he didn’t want to lose you, he didn’t know how he was supposed to go on without you. “fuck im gonna cum.” you screamed , gripping the sheets “fuck im cumming!”
he stopped feeling you clench around him and that’s all he needed for him to cum. “shit.” he hissed , pressing his lips against yours , his hands engulfing yours , swallowing up your moans in a kiss , holding you close as if he was never gonna let you go… “please don’t let me turn.” you whispered in his ear. “it’s time.”
“no.” he was full on sobbing now; holding you closer to his skin. “i don’t want to.” he said. “you have to.” you said , you could feel your body growing colder and colder. “i dont have much time.” you said. “go get minho , let him do it then.” he couldn’t; he was already losing you , he couldn’t care putting his friend through that, as much as he wanted to. he couldn’t do it. “i love you.” he said. “i love you too.”
then you fell limp in his arms; and he let out a loud sob — because he knew what was coming and he promised you he wouldn’t do that. so he reached for the knife he kept next to him in bed; holding it to the back of your head , right in that spot he knew would end it immediately. he closed his eyes before pushing the knife into your head , a painful scream falling from his lips. he didn’t care if the zombies heard him or not , he lost all his will to live.
he lost it all in sixty seconds …

•ᴗ• riize reactions - when you can't reach an item on the top shelf

pairing: riize x short!fem!reader, genre: crack + fluff, warnings: ur short lol! mentions of getting smacked with a cereal box idk blue text > riize pink text > reader

☆ for my tiny briizes <3
shotaro . . . melts as soon as he sees you on your tippy toes.
taro has always found your height so adorable, especially when it causes you to need extra assistance. he absolutely loves it when you depend on him for things like grabbing something from the top shelf or carrying something heavy.
"taro, help me please!" you call from the kitchen, reaching to grab a box from the top shelf. he wouldn't hesitate to help to prevent you from getting hurt. after snapping a few pictures of course <3 "you're so adorable honey :("
eunseok . . . would laugh in your face lol
seok is the type to constantly tease you for your height, but never enough to hurt your feelings. after all, your height is why you're so adorable to him. it just causes him to worry so much.
"seok, help please!" "you always need so much assistance," he complained, dragging a stool to you. it'd seem like he doesn't care much about helping you, but he'd be standing right beside you as you climb onto the stool, waiting to catch you if you fall. once you're occupied with the item you've acquired, he'll discretely move all of the items down from the top shelf so you don't have to struggle so much <3 (i'm so crazy i am in love)
sungchan . . . has a size kink loves your height!
he's always loved how small you are, how easily you fit into his arms when the two of you hug. though sometimes you're insecure about your height, it's heartwarming to know that it's one of his favorite qualities of yours.
"baby, help please!" once he sees you reaching for the cereal on top of the fridge, he'll break out into laughter and hug you by the waist. he'd be the type to lift you up to reach for the item instead of getting it himself. once you get what you need, he'd put you back down and give you a few kisses on the cheek. "you're the cutest, princess~"
wonbin . . . probably can't reach it either!
all jokes aside, wonbin wouldn't like your height per se, he'd like that it causes you to be so dependent on him <3 even though he's such a princess, he loves when you need him to help reach things on the top shelf just because it makes him feel a little more confident about his height.
he'd laugh when he sees you struggling to reach an item on the top shelf. he'd definitely be the type to grab it even if you aren't asking for help just to make him extra cool (he's a loser). "here baby." "you think ur so cool huh.."
seunghan . . . wants to pick you up and run away with you
no matter what you're doing, you're always so devastatingly cute to him. you could literally be wiping your ass and he'd be like "ahh so adorable! >.<" but anyways, he loves how tiny you are, especially when you rest your head on his chest or wrap your arms around his waist.
"hani, could you get this for me?" just from hearing your voice, he's already on his feet running to assist you. his lips immediately curl into his cute cat smile and he runs to you, trapping you in his arms and peppering thousands of kisses all over your face. "you're so adorable, angel!!" "thank you love, but can you just grab it..?"
sohee . . . will never stop teasing you
sohee's not even tall himself, but once he finds someone else to call short, he'll never let them hear the end of it. he likes to call you a shortie or even a gnome if he's feeling ambitious (ironic coming from him!). but he can't deny how cute you are when you need his help.
you always refrain from asking sohee for help since you don't wanna hear the hours of gnome jokes, but that didn't help you this time. sohee was walking by the kitchen when he saw you jumping to grab a box of teddy grams from the top shelf. he holds back his laughter and sneaks a video of you jumping with grabby hands. once you notice him by the doorway, he's laughing until his stomach hurts. "why are you laughing at me? :(" "i'm sorry leprechaun, let me help!"
anton . . . cherishes you more than anything else in the world :(
everything you do always makes him giggle because of how cute you are. he loves watching you put the groceries away because of how little you look, slightly standing on your tippy toes to put the ice cream in the freezer </3
anton purposefully ignored your text requesting help putting the groceries. while you suffered alone trying to put the cereal on the top of the fridge, anton was standing by the kitchen door with the biggest smile on his face. when you saw him, you gave him the most disappointed look. "help me, you asshole!" instead of helping, he proposed a game of "try it yourself!" he stood there and laughed while you jumped to throw the box on top of the fridge. his laughing would soon come to a halt when the box falls on ur face. "i'm sorry, love... should i buy ice cream?"
(a/n: i always get carried away writing abt anton..)

✩Lovesick (H. Umemiya)

masterlist! /ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\ the bewitched masterlist!
—> in which he couldn't stop appearing in her dreams the day that they met
✿ Genre: fluff, love at first sight, Umemiya is 19 in this fic!! Mentions of harassment/catcalling (not ume)
It was like any other day, the sun shone brightly as usual. And as usual, a group of gang members surrounded the counter of the cafe that she worked at, pestering her for her number. They were fully grown middle aged men, trying to hit on a 19 year old part timer. The customers all had their eyes on the scene before them, eager to know what would happen next.
“You should just give me your number, pretty.” One of the gang members said as they placed his arm on the glass display, the rest hyping him up. “a pretty girl like you should just… Come along with me, don't cha’ think?”
Y/n was speechless. She wanted to shout at them, chase them away, but she had to maintain her composure. She wouldn't want to scare off the customers. So, there she stood, with a mundane reaction to the man’s words.
“Hey, it's rude to leave people hanging ya know.” Another man spat and stepped forward, slamming his hands on the counter. Y/n’s eyes twitched as she observed a few customers leaving the café with a scowl on their faces. They were scaring the customers, not her.
She clenched her fist and bit the bottom of her lip, shooting a deadly glare at the group of men. “Hey, what do you think you're doing?” A new voice barged into the café, walking towards the counter. The said group took a few steps back, terrified.
The jacket that he wore was very familiar. After all, how could anyone not know that dark green high-school blazer? It belonged to the group of high-schoolers who kept the town safe from people that destroyed peace around the area. Furin, also known as Bofurin, the protectors of Makochi.
The said voice belonged to a tall male with white swept-back hair. His downturned eyes appeared more intimidating than it should be, making the Group of older men wide-eyed as they glanced at each other.
“Hey, you.” The Furin student paused, bringing up his index finger and pointing it at the man who slammed the counter not long ago. “Let’s have a talk. A nice, long, talk.” A smirk appeared on his face as his light blue orbs glistened.
”You punk!” Just as the older man rushed forward with his fist ready to hit someone, another voice interrupted their conversation. “Please, goddamn it! If you’re going to throw hands at each other, would you psychos do it outside?!” All eyes were now on her. The h/c-haired girl who was clearly pissed off took a few deep breaths before she continued, “Please?”
The Furin student raised an eyebrow.
Umemiya was on his way to collect something from Kotoha and unexpectedly came across a damsel in distress. Being the leader of Bofurin, he couldn’t just turn a blind eye to this, could he? What he didn’t think would happen was that the girl that needed help just so happens to be the most alluring girl he had ever laid his eyes on.
The white-haired male let out a small chuckle, “You heard the lady, let’s go,” He nodded his head towards the exit, tucking both his hands into the pockets of his pants.
Y/n watched as the group of men followed the said male out the café. The shop soon went back to its peaceful state as if nothing had happened. Again, she let out a sigh and went to the storeroom where the owner was.
“Y/n, were those guys out there again?” The owner asked, her eyes gave her a look of sympathy. Y/n could only tell the truth. “Yea, don’t worry about it though. Some guy from Furin came and dealt with them. I’ll get back to work soon.” The girl leaned against the shelf of supplies, arms crossed while her head rested on one of the box of flour.
Much to her surprise, her boss started panicking, getting up in a hastily manner and grabbed the side of Y/n’s shoulders, “Furin? Is he still here?” Y/n hesitantly nodded her head, “i guess? He went outside to ‘talk’ to those pricks”
The owner gave a sigh of relief before pushing her out of the storeroom, “Y/n, my dear. Go and give that boy whatever drink he wants, its on the house.” One thing that the h/c-haired girl knew was the fact that these Furin boys were treated like VIPs in town for their services. She didn’t bother to ask why.
The café location was right where the sunset faced, making it a popular spot for the people in town to gather and hang around the street. Today was different, there was no one around. Usually, around this time, the café would be packed with people of all ages. Once the girl opened the café door, bright orange light blinded her eyes.
Y/n immediately raised her palm up to block most of the sunlight, squinting her eyes as she tried to make clear of the scene in front of her. A tall figure stood there, one hand clutching onto the collar of another man. The height difference was not much but very noticeable as the man who was squirming in his grasp had his feet lifted off the pathway.
“—will be purged by Bofurin without exception.” Umemiya finished his sentence and landed a punch on the man’s face, knocking him out. The golden sunlight shone down at him, she thought he looked majestic under the orange light, the sun lowering behind him. He was the centre of its attention.
With a smug look on his face, his hands let free of the unconscious man, letting him fall to the ground with a thud. His job here was done.
“Uhm- Excuse me,” The h/c-haired girl called out. Umemiya whipped his head to the café entrance, his light blue orbs widened as he saw the girl’s stunned face. “Oh- I’m sorry you had to see that.”
“It’s fine… Thank you for…helping me” Y/n trailed off at the end when the white-haired male walked closer to her, his figure blocking the sunlight that was shining down on the pair. The girl tilted her head upwards to meet his eyes.
Umemiya gave a broad grin, “Don’t worry about it, this is what Furin is for.”
“Right! Uhm, before you go, would you like a drink? I-It’s on the house!” Y/n quickly blurted out, a tint of pink appeared on her cheeks.
Why?
The Furin student let out a chuckle, “Sure, I’m in no hurry.”
Y/n went behind the counter to take the white-haired male’s order as he looked at the menu, rubbing the back of his neck. ”Caramel frappé sounds interesting.” He finally said, raising his head back up.
She simply smiled.
Huh? What’s this? Why does his chest feel like exploding? Why is his heart beating so loud?
”A Caramel frappé for…?” She asked, uncapping the marker with one hand and holding an empty plastic cup in the other.
“Oh? that's a smooth way to ask for my name,” his eyes scanned the name tag on her apron, “L/n.”
Her heart skipped a beat upon hearing her name roll out of his mouth. Unknowingly, her face became beet red and the marker that she was holding fell out of her grasp. Her lips pierced into a thin line while her mind tried to process his words, imaginary steam released from the top of her head.
A small laugh came out of his mouth, “sorry- you just remind me of one of my juniors. Umemiya Hajime, nice to meet you.” The h/c-haired girl slowly nodded, pink still visible on her cheeks as she carefully wrote the said name on the empty cup.
“Well, Umemiya. My name is L/n Y/n, but of course you already know this- I mean I do have a name tag for a reason. Your name is so cool, not that you aren’t, you are in Furin after all. Furin high students are cool… gosh what am i saying.”
She was rambling on and on. Usually, she would have no problem speaking to a customer — It’s literally part of her job — but this is different. it's different because it's the first time she'd been mesmerized by someone’s eyes. Not even when she met that kid with heterochromia a few weeks ago. She could just stare at him all day.
Another chuckle escaped his lips once again.
“I’ll have your order prepared soon.” She managed to say before quickly making her way to the coffee machine.
Umemiya could only nod his head and pull out his phone. The corner of his lips quirked up.
26 missed calls from Kotoha(>^ω^<)
He was in fact, in a hurry. His phone vibrated with Kotoha’s caller ID showing up on his screen. He hesitated for a moment before clearing his throat and placing his phone next to his ear.
“Where the hell are you?!” Her voice blasted through the speaker as the white-haired male moved his phone further away from his ears the moment she spoke. Luckly, the people around him were oblivious to the noise. ”I’m coming back… soon?”
Umemiya heard an exasperated sigh on the other end of the phone, “You better get your ass back here in—“
“A Caramel frappé for Umemiya?” That made his ear perk up. His attention drifted to the H/c-haired girl behind the ‘collection’ counter, searching for the owner of the said name.
The phone in his hands almost slipped when his eyes met hers again. Umemiya was never the lovesick type. He had never been in a relationship, as a matter of fact, he had never liked anyone before.
The way her eyes softened at the sight of him while a small smile appeared on her lips was his cue to come forward.
“I’ll call you later, sis.”
“Hey don't call–” The Furin leader had never hung up on someone that quickly, not even Kotoha who was the closest to him.
He beamed, putting his phone back into his pocket as he took the cup of caramel frappé from the hands of, in his opinion, the most jaw dropping, gorgeous, and stunning person he’d seen in the past 19 years of living.
“Enjoy your drink!” her service voice took over, giving the white haired male a small wave and a bow.
Again, he simply chuckled, “See you soon, L/n.”
He left the café as he sipped on his cup. The sweetness of the caramel flavour took over his taste buds, numbing his tongue by how cold it was.
The drink which should've given him a brain freeze had warmed his heart instead.

A gust of wind swept into her room, sending a chill down her spine as she fitfully laid on her bed. it was only when she buried her head under the thick cotton blankets till her squeezed shut eyes had relaxed.
When she opened her eyes, she was no longer in her dark, cozy room. Instead the familiar sunset that she saw every weekday evening greeted her. The pigeon that was pecking the ground before her cooed and spread its wings and flew away, leaving her alone on the wide pedestrian path.
She felt different.
Her eyelids no longer felt heavy as usual like all the burden she had was taken away in a flash.
Not far from where she stood, Y/n saw a male figure, walking towards her wearing the Furin jacket. His hands were the prettiest bouquet of flowers she had ever seen, all in different colours, shapes and sizes. The only problem was, she couldn't make out his face.
The male figure said something and although she couldn't hear it her mouth opened to give a response. A response that she herself couldn’t even hear.
Before she knew it, The Furin student cupped her cheeks with his free hand. Y/n tilted her head in confusion as he leaded closer, and closer.
The h/c-haired girl wanted to step back from the sudden intimacy only to fail doing so. She could only scan her surroundings frantically but stopped when she spotted a lamp in the middle of the sidewalk not far from her.
What was a lamp doing here?
Why does it look…weird?
Y/n’s mind was filled with many unanswered questions till a loud, continuous, annoying beeping sound interjected them.
she jolted up from her bed, clutching her head in pain. It was throbbing, perhaps it was the way she sat up quickly. The beeping sound continued to echo through her small, lonely apartment.
As soon as the h/c-haired girl hit the top button of her digital alarm, the high pitched beeping stopped, deafening silence replaced the sound in an instant.
Right, it was just a silly dream.
She gave the alarm clock a second look, it was 6 in the morning and yet the sun was already up, ready to shine for hours. Y/n stepped out of bed, starting her everyday routine. She would take her time to wake up, eat, get dressed, maybe read a book or two, and by the time she leaves for work, the clock would strike 10. (In the morning of course.)
That is until she realised that her boss told her last night to work a few extra hours and that she could come later than usual, giving her a bonus if she does so. Now, who was she to refuse such an offer? It was probably just an hour or two, right?
Oh how wrong she was.
When she was told to stay longer, she certainly did not expect to serve a crowd of VIP guests and their large orders. It was as if they were trying to prevent her from getting a good rest. Whenever Y/n finish a line of customers, more will come.
It was only till the sun had fully fallen when she left the café with an exhausted look on her face. The walk home was soundless if you excluded the engines of cars that drove passed her. Of course, a pretty girl walking alone at night was sure to attract trouble.
Y/n was lost in her thoughts when a group of men approached her, blocking her path. Confused, she removed one of her earbuds from her ear and raised an eyebrow, “may I help you?”
“Say, how old could she be?” The man on her right said out loud. “Who cares, she looks old enough.” Another said.
Upon hearing those words, Y/n couldn’t help but frown in disgust, “I'm 19.” She stated, awaiting the looks on their faces. However, not only did they not retreat from her, their smiles grew wider.
“She’s old enough.” Said the man in her left without any hesitation.
Before she could even respond, they lunged at her, hands outstretched. They were just inches away from grabbing ahold of her bag, pulling her towards them — only to have their head snap sideways as a fist crashed into their jaws. The group of men were like dominos, thumbing down one after another into an alleyway.
With eyes as blue as the ocean, hair as white as the clouds on a sunny afternoon, Y/n knew who it was straight away.
Yet again, the sight of a Furin student throwing punch after punch did not put her in fright. The H/c-haired girl stood there, waiting for him to recite the same famous phrase that caused them to meet.
“W-Wait! You’ve got it all wrong! We were just asking for directions!” One said, raising his palm in hopes of him letting them go. But he didn’t. Instead, Thea Furin student shot him a glare, “Oh don’t be silly, I know what I saw and heard.” In a hot minute, He came out of the alleyway leaving the men lying on the ground.
His eyes met the girl’s.
“Umemiya…right?” She blurted out in a hurry, thinking he would scurry away like a rat. The Furin boy, taken aback by the fact that she remembered him, replied as he shuffled around. “Pleasure to meet you again, L/n.” his eyes twinkled like a star under the dark.
Her stomach flipped.
He remembered too
Y/n relaxed her shoulders as she took one last look at the unconscious bodies behind him, “looks like I owe you again, huh?" She paused for a moment, “could I treat you to dinner?”
“No worries, it’s what we Furin kids do.” Umemiya leaned closer and smirked, “But… if you insist…I wouldn’t mind some free food.”

“Woah, that might be my second favourite restaurant in town.” The white-haired male spoke as both his arms reached for the back of his head. The two had just come out from a restaurant nearby and spent most of the time there chatting with each other. The sky became darker and the roads were quieter. Shops around them slowly began to pack up, flipping their “open” sign to “close”.
“It's 10.34, I should probably go home now…” she glanced at her watch. Y/n felt tired after such a long day, but that encounter with thugs just made it even more exhausting, though her voice doesn't seem like it wants to part ways with the male before her. Umemiya stared at her, “I'll walk you home.”
“Pardon?”
“It’s too late for a girl like you to walk home alone in these dim lights. Trust me, you won't want the same thing to happen to you." The white-haired male placed his hand on one of her shoulders. His eyes narrowed, warning her,”But if I was right next to you, no harm shall come across!” Umemiya’s mood changed in an instant.
Y/n’s mouth opened on its own, “Sure.”
And there they were, walking along the side of the road towards the h/c-haired girl’s house. A few laughs were shared as they walked side by side.
“I'll see you around?” Y/n tilted her head to the side. Umemiya nodded with a smile on his face. The girl waited for him to leave but he didnt move an inch. “Actually,” he got a hold of Y/n’s arm just as she was about to enter her house. “If you have work tomorrow… is it possible if i walk you home too?“
Umemiya’s eyes gleamed with hope.
“I-I do have work, but why would you do that?”
And with that, the air seemed to slow down. His blue eyes felt as if they were staring right into her soul. They wandered. Her left eye, her right, then to her lips and back.
“I find you interesting.”
Y/n’s lips formed an ‘O’. She was about toHIs blue eyes felt as if he was staring into her soul. They wandered. Her life eye, her right, then to her lips and back.
“What i meant is,”
The anticipation was killing her. What was this cute guy infront of her going to say?
“I like you.”
The sound of her shoulder bag hitting the gravel filled the silence. Both of their faces started to heat up. Y/n however, was as red as beetroot. She can’t comprehend what ust happened. Was it just her imagination?
Umemiya — who noticed her reaction, started panicking. “it’s fine, you dont even know me that well—”
“I can always get to know you better…” Hearing this, his signature smile came back. “I’ll give it some thought, thank you…”
The Furin student couldn’t believe his ears. It wasn’t just his imagination, was it?
Umemiya, who wasn’t the type to get flustered at all, started spewing out words, “right- Uhm, I’ll see you tomorrow then.” The two waited for either one of them to turn their heel but Umemiya’s phone rang.
“Have a safe trip home, see you” The h/c-haired girl bowed slightly and entered her apartment. Umemiya’s phone continues to ring, but he couldn’t care less about it. All he had in mind was that smile of hers.

As Y/n cleared the tables, the look of one in deep thought was planted on her face. Memories of the previous nightkept replaying in her mind. The looks, jokes and smlies she and Umemiya shared.
She had the same dream again. Could this be a sign?
But here's the thing, She wasn’t quite ready for it. She’s not quite sure what she would even do if she got into a relationship. She never had one after all.
Her mood was too obvious till the point that her boss had to check in with her.
The door to the storage room closed shut as Y/n got pulled aside from work. “Is something bothering you? I cant have my best employee feel gloomy for long.” The owner of the café placed a hand on her shoulder.
She contemplated. Her boss was about twice her age, surely she’d know a thing or two about this…?
“Can I get some advice from you?”
“I’m all ears.”
And so, Y/n spilled everything about that white-haired, blue-eyed Furin high boy. Her worries, her dreams, her feelings.
“I don't know what I should do.” She ran her fingers through her hair, “but everytime i see him, my heart starts to flutter, I can't control it.”
Her boss could only chuckle at her obliviousness.
Just as she was about to say the most obvious thing, the counter rang, indicating that there was a customer whom they need to attend to.
The two of them prepared to head out. Y/n’s boss placed a hand on her shoulder again, “I think you’re in love, honey.”
Y/n could only smile.
Could she really be?
She made her way to the cashier and looked up. Her eyes widened as she noticed who it was.
God, maybe she was in love

A/n: After 4 months of procrastinating... it's finally done! this is one of my longest works yet! I hope you guys enjoy this!! apologies if the ending was a bit rushed, you can. always imagine that Umemiya and the reader walk hand in hand under the setting sun after this! ( ◜‿◝ )♡

I Found You | Daryl Dixon x Fem!Reader

Summary: When the dead started to rise and the world went to hell, Daryl got seperated from you, the love of his life. After over a year of searching for you and finding no evidence of your survival, Daryl was beginning to give up and count his losses. One day, Carol stumbled upon a wounded woman while out on a run with Glenn, and the two of them decide to accept you into the prison. Little did they know, that would end up being one of the best decisions they could've ever made.
Genre: Angst to fluff.
Era: Prison, pre season 4, post season 3.
Warnings: Swearing, blood, death, mentions of attempted sexual assault (not descriptive)
Word count: 4.3k
A/n: Thank you so much for the request! I've decided to write the au since there's already a part three for the SSHD (Shopping Spree, Hangout Dreams) universe in the works, but this request was way too good to not write. I hope you like it! And I absolutely agree with you. There's something about prison era Daryl that just hits different. He was on another level completely.
As always, my requests are open for any TWD requests.
(Just thought I'd say that both third- and second person is used. I referred to the reader in third person when Glenn and Carol first met her, but it soon shifts to second person when she introduced herself. Just thought I'd let y'all know the shift is intentional.)
—
“Okay, so I can't guess what you did before all of this correctly, but I bet there is something that I will be right about.”
Daryl looked at Zach skeptically as they trudged through the abandoned store, looking for supplies to bring back to the prison. “Yeah? Wha's tha'?”
“You're brooding, quiet, you like to keep to yourself,” Zach started, leaning nonchalantly against one of the shelves while he watched the archer place multiple different packs and boxes into his bag. “The way you act most of the time would suggest you've never been in a relationship before, but there are clear signs that you were with someone before all of this.”
Daryl stiffened for a moment, his hand lingering above a pack, before regaining his composure and continuing his task. “Wha' signs?”
“Well, for one, you know exactly what kind of tampons and pads to get for the ladies at the prison. I would've just dumped everything in and have them sort through it, but you are only taking specific brands,” Zach pointed out, motioning to the box of tampons Daryl had just put back onto the shelf.
When Daryl didn't reply, Zach took that as his cue to continue. “And while we're on the topic of periods, you seem to know exactly what to get the girls for the pain and what to do to curve their bad tempers. What guy would know that if he didn't have a girlfriend before all of this? And to top it all off, and this is totally unrelated to everything I just said, I've seen that locket necklace you keep in your pocket. It's pretty worn out and faded, but you can definitely tell it's something from this generation, so it can't be something that was passed down from a relative, so that brings me to my conclusion. You, Daryl Dixon, had a girl before all of this.”
Daryl sighed, shutting his eyes tightly as he willed the onslaught of memories away. Memories that were too painful to think of, memories that did nothing but remind the archer of his failure. His failure at finding you, the love of his life, after the dead started walking. A failure he had to live with for as long as he remained alive.
Daryl opened his eyes and turned abruptly, leaving the young man behind him as he stalked towards the exit, his bag slung over his shoulder. Zach hurriedly caught up to him, struggling to keep at a steady pace beside him as Daryl strode quickly, wanting to put some distance between him and Zach.
“Woah, man! Slow down!” Zach complained, jogging to keep up with him. “Was it because I brought up the girl thing? I didn't realise it was a touchy subject.”
“It ain't none of yer damn business,” Daryl grumbled under his breath, stalking over to the truck him and Zach were using that day.
“Daryl! Come on, man. It's not that deep.”
Daryl gritted his teeth as he opened up the driver's side door of the truck, throwing his bag into the back before climbing inside. He started up the truck and revved the engine, a warning sign to Zach that he was about to leave, with or without him.
Zach hurriedly scurried into the passenger seat, barely having time to close the door before Daryl started speeding off. He gripped the edge of his seat, sending Daryl an exasperated look.
“Daryl, what the hell? Calm down!” he exclaimed, unnerved by the archer's sudden burst of fury. He'd seen Daryl angry before, but it was never directed towards him. It was downright scary.
“'M calm,” Daryl replied through gritted teeth, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly.
“That's what you call calm?!” Zach exclaimed, motioning out towards the road. “You're driving like a maniac! Slow down!”
Daryl simply ignored the man, keeping his eyes trained on the road. Memories of you unwillingly flooded his mind. Memories of your smile, your laugh and your beautiful eyes. Memories of the calm mornings you'd spend with the archer in your shared sad excuse for an apartment where the hot water was a joke. Memories where you'd both stand under the cold water of the shower, Daryl embracing you from behind in an attempt to make the cold water bearable for you. Memories of your loving touch on his skin, your fingers lightly tracing over the scars on his back as you whispered reassuring things into his ear, assuring him that his father's abuse had nothing to do with him, that it wasn't his fault that any of that happened to him.
The more Daryl's mind wandered, the more he remembered some of the bad memories. All those arguments you had with him over some of his escapades with Merle, telling him that it would only get him into trouble, flooded his mind. One of those arguments ended up being the reason he got seperated from you in the first place.
Merle had wanted to go do some drug deal and had barged into your apartment, practically dragging Daryl from your bed. You had begged him not to go, arguing with him that it was a bad idea and that something would go wrong this time. He remembered being so angry at you for insisting during that argument that Merle wasn't good for him, that he needed to cut back on seeing him or set some boundaries with him. He had stormed out of the apartment without so much as a goodbye, and now he regretted it more than he's regretted anything before in his life.
Daryl blamed himself daily for not having listened to you that day. If he had, he never would've been seperated from you and you would've been safe by his side. He longed to have you by his side again, to tell you that he was sorry and that he loved you. However, even after all this time of searching, going out for extended periods of time to look for signs of you, it was to no avail. You were gone, and it was all his fault.
“Daryl? Are... you okay?”
Daryl snapped back to reality at the sound of Zach's concerned voice. He felt a droplet of water roll down his cheek and he hurriedly wiped it away, realising that he was crying. He hadn't even realised that tears had started to well up in his eyes, so immersed was he in his own thoughts.
“'M fine,” Daryl insisted, wiping his eyes hurriedly as he willed the tears away.
Zach furrowed his eyebrows, before realisation dawned on him. “You did have a girl before all of this. You lost her, didn't you?” he asked sympathetically.
Daryl hesitantly nodded, swallowing in an attempt to get rid of the lump in his throat. “I didn't lose her,” he began, bringing the truck to a halt in front of the prison gates as he waited for someone to open them.
“I don't know if she's even dead at all. She's just... Gone.”
—
“What are we looking for, exactly?” Glenn asked Carol as they scanned over the shelving of an abandoned pharmacy, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
Carol sighed as she looked upon yet another empty shelf, its medical contents a thing of the past. “Anything medical. With all the new people we've been taking in, the supplies we have aren't going to be enough.”
“Okay,” Glenn drawled hesitantly. “But it doesn't look like there's anything worth scavenging here.”
“Let's just do a once over before we check the back. If there's nothing, we head on back. It's getting late,” Carol instructed. Glenn nodded, and the two of them dispersed to sweep through the small store once more.
“So,” Glenn started. “Is it just me, or has Daryl been more grumpy than usual?”
Carol hummed in agreement. “He has. He gets angry at the smallest of things lately.”
“Do you know why?”
“No,” Carol said, shaking her head. “I've asked him, but he won't say anything. Just tells me to mind my own business. It's really odd. He's more like he was back at the quarry. More closed off and snappy and I don't know why.”
“It's ever since he came back from that run with Zach a week ago,” Glenn replied, meeting up with the Carol again to go into the back room. “I've asked Zach if he knows why, but he refused to say anything. Says it's not his place to say.”
Carol frowned, opening the door that lead into the back room. “That's odd. So that means something—”
“Stay right there. Don't move another inch or I swear to god I'll shoot.”
Both Carol and Glenn froze in their tracks. They looked up and locked eyes with a woman, who's eyes were fiery as they darted between them.
“Names. Now. And weapons on the ground.”
“Okay, alright,” Carol responded, trying to diffuse the situation. She slowly lowered her gun and knife to the ground, urging Glenn to do the same. “I'm Carol, and this is Glenn. Now before we answer anymore questions, what's your name?”
The woman hesitated for a moment. “Y/n. What are you doing here?”
“We were looking for some supplies,” Carol spoke truthfully, eyeing the gun aimed at her carefully. “We're running low on medical things.”
After a couple of long, tense moments, with you scanning them from head to toe, you nodded to yourself after spotting something. Deciding to trust them for now, you slowly lowered the gun. However, you quietly hissed in pain, quickly clutching your side as you stumbled to regain your balance. After you steadied yourself, you limped over to your bag and grabbed a few things before handing them over to Carol and Glenn.
“Here. Hope these help. The place was ransacked when I got here. Wasn't a lot left to clear out.”
“Thank you, but we need more than this. This isn't going to last us long,” Carol responded, placing the items into her bag.
“No offence, lady, but I think I need the supplies more than you do at the moment. And I gave you more than half already. I can't spare more,” you said, clutching your side tightly.
“What happened?” Glenn asked, pointing to the your side, unable to stop his curiosity from seeping through.
“Flesh eaters,” you replied nonchalantly, shrugging your shoulders. “I was fighting a bunch of them when one lunged at me from the side. It toppled me through a broken window, and a shard sliced me.”
“Don't you have a group? Couldn't they help you?” Glenn questioned.
“Nope. I've been on my own since this whole thing started. I guess I should probably find a group, though. Things like this wouldn't happen if I had backup.”
You gingerly lifted your shirt, and both Carol and Glenn grimaced at the painful sight. The wound was deep and oozing blood. It would definitely need stitches, as well as someone to remove the remaining fragments of glass that still painfully stuck out of the wound. It was terrible. You wouldn't be able to get it all out without a professional.
Suddenly, an idea struck Carol. “You gave us some of the supplies you scavenged without even knowing us. Why?”
“Well, you didn't try to kill me, even after I held you at gunpoint. And by the looks of it, you guys have a group and are set up somewhere. Figured I should do the honourable thing and offer up some medical things if there's kids involved.”
“How do you know there's kids?” Glenn asked, confused.
“I can see the toys in your bag,” you pointed out, motioning to the toy truck that stuck out of the top of his bag. “Figured that adults wouldn't be playing with toy trucks while the world was ending.”
“Still, why would you? You don't owe us anything,” Carol questioned, though her mind was already set on one thing.
“Some might call me naive, but I hope that by doing some good in this fucked up world, karma will decide to do something good for me. That probably makes me stupid as shit, huh?” you replied, laughing before wincing at the pain that shot through your side at the small action.
Carol smiled at you. “We have a group set up not too far from here, at the prison. You can join if you want, but you have to answer three questions first.”
You raised your eyebrows at her. “Three questions? That's it?”
“Yeah.”
You shrugged your shoulders. “Alright, shoot.”
“How many walkers have you killed?” Carol began, watching you closely.
“A lot. Too many to keep track of at this point.”
“How many people have you killed?”
You hesitated for a moment, guilt creeping up on you. “Three.”
“Why?”
“Two of them were bit. They asked me to kill them. The other one... That bastard tried to rape me. I wouldn't let him.”
“I'm sorry,” Glenn said sympathetically.
“It's fine. I'm fine,” you waved him off, before turning your attention back to Carol. “How'd I do? Satisfactory enough?”
Carol nodded. “For me, yes. You'll still need to meet the leader and have him evaluate you, but I think you'll be alright. You'll fit in just fine.”
“Hopefully,” you laughed nervously, instantly paying the price for it with a sharp pain shooting up your side, making you visibly wince.
“Come on, let's get going. We have a doctor who can get that checked out for you,” Glenn prompted. He walked over to you and grabbed your bag, stopping your protest instantly. “It's fine, I've got it. One extra bag won't kill me.”
Together, all of you made your way out of the pharmacy and over to their car. You got settled in the back while Carol and Glenn got into the front, and before long you were setting off to the prison. Your eyes were beginning to droop, but Glenn seemed eager to get to know the new recruit better.
“What were you doing out there on your own anyway?”
“I was looking for my boyfriend. I was hoping that he might still be alive.”
“No luck?” he asked.
“No,” you shook your head, pursing your lips. “I'm beginning to think I might never find him, if he's even still alive.”
“Never say never,” Glenn encouraged you. “You'll find him someday, I know it.”
“I really hope so.”
—
“Have you seen that new chick Glenn and Carol brought back? She's a real looker.”
“I know, right? You think she's into blondes?”
“Even if she was, I doubt she'd go for your scrawny ass.”
“Easy, boys. She might not even be into guys. I could have a shot with her for all you know.”
Daryl groaned inwardly as he entered the cellblock. The new girl that Glenn and Carol brought in the day before was seemingly the hottest topic of discussion amongst everyone and he couldn't escape it, no matter where he tried to run to. Nobody, apart from Glenn, Carol, Rick and Hershel have officially met her, yet everybody had seemingly already formed an opinion about her. Although there were a lot of different opinions, everyone seemingly agreed on one thing; the new girl was hotter than hell.
Daryl was the only guy in the entire prison that hadn't seen her yet. He was out hunting when Carol and Glenn brought her back and he hasn't bothered to go out of his way to introduce himself to her ever since he got back. He'd meet her soon enough and he wasn't hoping to make friends with her. The more people he managed to keep at arm's length, the better.
“Yo, Daryl. What do you think about the new chick?” a guy called Mitchell asked him, snapping him from his thoughts.
Daryl shrugged. “Ain't met her yet,” he replied, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Okay, but have you seen her?” another guy called Ronnie asked. “I'm telling you, man, hotter than the sun on a summer day. I'm hoping she'll let me hit at least once.”
“How 'bout ya leave the poor girl alone?” Daryl snapped, turning to face the group that was walking with him. “She ain't even been here two days and y'all are already ogling her like she's some prize to be won. Have some more respect.”
“Jeez,” Mitchell whistled. “What's got your panties up in a bunch?”
“Nothin',” Daryl muttered angrily, turning around to walk further into the cellblock. “Jus' wanna get this fuckin' job done and all y'all can do is yap 'bout some girl ya dun' even know properly. I dun' give two flyin' shits 'bout who or wha' ya talk 'bout, but do it after the job's done. Y'all ain't free loadin' here. Do yer job, earn yer keep.”
“Sorry,” a girl called Ariana muttered, sending him an apologetic look. “What do you need us to do?”
“Take those planks over there and take em to the guard tower. Rick wants to fortify it and wants it done by the end of the week.”
“What are you gonna do?” Ronnie asked, crossing his arms as he sized Daryl up.
Daryl glared at him and squared his shoulders, looking down on his shorter, scrawny frame. “Hershel needs help with somethin'. I believe ya can understand tha' if the doctor needs somethin' done, it's considered top priority?”
Ronnie shrunk under Daryl's intense glare, nodding quickly. “Yeah, of course.”
“Great.”
With that, Daryl turned on his heel and set off to find Hershel. He didn't have to search far, however, because Hershel halted him before he could go outside.
“Daryl, over here,” the old man called after him, halting him in his tracks.
Daryl turned and walked over to Hershel, nodding at him respectfully. “Wha' ya need, Doc?”
“I'm sure you've heard of the girl Carol and Glenn brought back yesterday by now?” Hershel questioned, chuckling at the slight groan Daryl emitted.
“Who hasn't? Apparently she's really good lookin'. Her looks has been all people has to say 'bout her.”
Hershel nodded. “Unfortunately, that is true. Only Rick, Glenn, Carol and myself has had the pleasure of meeting her personally up until this point. She's a lovely woman. Had no problem that there wasn't anything to ease the pain when I had to stitch her side and she's more than willing to get up and start working to earn her keep. She won't be able to for at least another day or so since her side needs to heal up a bit first, but Carol and Glenn did good with bringing her back. She'll fit right in.”
“Good,” Daryl nodded. “She a good fighter?”
“From what I understand, she's been out on her own since the beginning. She's not dead yet, so I'd say she's alright,” Hershel replied, adjusting on his crutches.
“Alrigh', now enough 'bout her. Wha' did ya need me to do?”
Hershel gave him an encouraging pat on the back, confusing the archer. “You're going to be one of the very few people who gets to say they met the new girl for the next couple of days. I was hoping you could help her fix her bunk? One of the legs on the bunk broke and she's dead set on repairing it. She won't let me help because she keeps insisting I've done enough for her, so I told her I would send someone else to help. She'll be expecting you.”
Daryl pursed his lips but nodded, parting ways with the older man. He walked over to the cell that Hershel had pointed towards and stopped at the doorway, hesitating to make his presence known.
You had your back turned towards the door, hunched over as you inspected the leg of the bunk. You weren't aware of the archer that stood a few feet behind you, engrossed entirely in your own thoughts. That was, until he spoke up behind you.
“Hey. Hershel said ya needed help?”
You froze at the voice, willing the supposed hallucination away. You slowly rose to your feet and turned, locking eyes with the one person you've been searching for since the world went to hell—your boyfriend, Daryl Dixon.
The moment Daryl locked eyes with you, a whirlwind of emotions flooded his being. Relief, love, happiness, wonder, sadness, confusion and so much more that he couldn't decipher. Although his first instinct was to wrap you in his arms and never let go of you again, he hesitated, refusing to believe you were real. He took a step back, his eyes wide as he looked at you.
You stared back at him with equal amounts of disbelief. You took a hesitant step forward. “Daryl?” you whispered. The man in front of you looked slightly different; a little bit older and his hair was longer, but there was no mistaking it. The man in front of you was Daryl.
Daryl remained silent, his eyes locked on you as you continued to take agonizingly slow steps towards him. He watched as you stopped in front of him and hesitantly raised your hand, bringing it to rest on his cheek. Daryl instantly melted into your familiar soft touch, and that was all the confirmation he needed. Without another thought, he gently grabbed you and pulled you into his arms, tightly clinging to you as he pressed multiple kisses to the top of your head.
“Yer real,” he whispered, a laugh of amazement falling from his lips. “Yer real. Yer alive. Yer actually still alive.”
You laughed quietly against his chest as you held onto him tightly, never wanting to let go ever again. Your laughter soon turned into sobs, tears of relief and happiness falling from your eyes.
“I thought I'd never see you again,” you whispered through your tears, burying your face into his chest. “I thought you were dead, Dar.”
“'M here,” he whispered into your ear, a few tears of his own falling from his eyes. “'M alive. Yer alive. 'M never lettin' ya go ever again. 'M sorry I ever left tha' day in the first place.”
“It's okay. I'm sorry, too. I never should've asked you to cut Merle out of your life. He's your brother. It was unreasonable of me.”
“Nah, it wasn't,” he denied, placing another gentle kiss on the top of your head. “Ya were jus' lookin' out fer me. I never shoulda gotten mad at ya in the first place.”
“Let bygones be bygones?” you whispered against his chest.
Daryl chuckled before nodding. “Yeah, of course.”
The two of you held onto each other for a couple of moments longer until you pulled back. Daryl was about to voice his protest until you pressed your lips against his in an urgent kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck. His arms settled on your waist, pulling you closer into him as he kissed you back. There was no lustful hunger behind the kiss—there was only love and longing, two broken parts finally reuniting and mending together as one.
Daryl pulled back and placed his forehead against yours, closing his eyes. “I missed ya so much,” he whispered, willing the lump in his throat to go away.
“I missed you too. More than you even know,” you replied, cupping Daryl's cheek with one of your hands. “But I found you. I finally found you.”
Daryl leaned into your touch before turning his head to kiss the palm of your hand. However, he soon pulled away from you and strode over to your bag, slinging it over your shoulder.
“C'mon,” he said, taking your hand in his as he pulled you to walk beside him.
“Where are we going?” you questioned, falling into step beside the man you loved.
“There ain't no need fer ya to sleep in there. Yer gonna sleep with me in my cell,” Daryl said simply, pulling you along to his cell.
You giggled but said nothing, silently following him into his cell. When he placed your bags down on the floor, Daryl placed a soft kiss on your lips before stalking out of the cell.
“Where are you going?” you called after him, furrowing your eyebrows in confusion.
“'M gonna find tha' prick who objectified ya and teach him a lesson. Yer hot as fuck, yes, that much I can accept people sayin', but Ronnie implied he wanted to sleep with ya outrigh'. He's really gonna regret sayin' tha' in a few moments. Dun' even try to talk me outta it.”
“Hey, Dar?” you called after him, halting him in his tracks. “I love you.”
Daryl smiled at you. “I definitely love ya more.”

The Pen Pal Project
Pairing: Choi Seungcheol x reader
Genres: Fluff, fluff, and more fluff
Warnings: Profanities, sappiness, cheating (third party), a tinsy hint of angst
Word Count: 10.2k
Summary: Over a decade of handwritten letters later, you can happily say that the Pen Pal Project was your greatest success.

Reaching up into the top shelf of the wardrobe, toppling onto your tiptoes in order to do so, your fingertips brush against a satin, bowed box. Pulling the box down to your chest, you perch at the edge of your large, periwinkle-sheeted bed, gingerly untangling the pretty blue ribbon and lifting the lid off of the top. Leafing your fingers through the stacks of paper inside, you feel a wave of nostalgia enrapturing your body. Your head rolls back, eyes falling shut as your mind is overtaken by memory.
"Honey, the guests will be here soon!" Your husband yells out from down the stairs.
"I'll just be a few minutes! Can you take the cake out, my love?" You call back, praying you have the time to reminisce before everyone arrives.
You gently pull out the first letter from the top of the stack.
April 5th 2007
Dear pen pal,
I am writing to you because my class has signed up for the Pen Pal Project this year. Because I don't know who you are or anything about you, I am going to answer some of the questions my teacher has given us, and hopefully you can answer them too in your reply!
1. What is your name?
My mom said that I shouldn't give out any personal information, so I can't actually answer this question. My friends all call me Dusty, so you can call me that too.
2. What hobbies do you enjoy?
I am really into skating, starcraft, hockey and rocks. Yesterday, me and my friends went out to the outskirts of the city to see if we could climb the big oak trees, and I found a piece of dolomite next to the river! I really want to find a meteorite but they're very rare so I think it'll take a lot of searching. I also play in my school's field hockey team - my mom wants me to stop playing because last week I cracked one of my teeth, but I think she's going to come around when she sees our tournament next weekend.
3. What do you want to do when you grow up?
My dad is a teacher and my mom is a nurse, so my parents want me to go to university and become a doctor or a professor, but I'd quite like to be an astronaut or Indiana Jones, whichever pays better.
4. What's one thing you want to know about your pen pal?
I want to know everything about you (more than one, sorry)! What's your school like? What year were you born in (mine is 1995)? What do you do for fun? Do you like dogs? Do you have a phone?
I'm not sure if I'll get a response to this letter, but if you do want to, I hope we can keep in touch for a long time :)
Yours truly,
Dusty

May 21st 2007
Dear Dusty,
I'm really glad I got your letter. Some of my friends got letters that didn't even have a return address, but thankfully I get to write back to you and answer some of your questions. I was also born in 1995 so we are same-age friends. I'm finding this year in school a bit harder because of all the tests we are doing, but we just started doing football again in Physical Education so it's not too bad. Sports are my biggest hobby - I do football and basketball and I want to start wrestling this year. I mostly like to go and play with my friends at the park. I'm on some of the school teams, but my friends tell me I'm too competitive to play professionally.
I also really like gaming and reading. I finished the Protoss campaign over the winter break, but I've had to stop now that school has started again. My friends are all really excited about the announcement of Starcraft II, are you too? Will you keep going with the original or switch to the new one?
When I grow up, I either want to do sports or I'll study to work a good job in business or finance. Being an astronaut would be so cool! You'd definitely be able to find a meteorite then.
About your other questions, I don't have a phone yet but I do love dogs. When I'm older I want at least one dog, if not more. Do you have any pets?
I hope that we can keep writing to each other too - it's fun to have a secret friend.
From,
Cherry

January 4th 2011
Dear Cherry,
Sorry it's been a while - I've been really busy over the winter break, but I just had my tonsils removed so I have a bit of free time in recovery to write this letter. Before you ask, no - I didn't wake up during the surgery which I was a bit disappointed about, but I did manage to swallow enough blood to make me throw up after waking up so that was kinda crazy.
I can't believe that your friend did that! One time my friend Jiwoo got suspended for unscrewing all of the lightbulbs in the science classrooms, but that was because of a dare, not her own free will! I've never been suspended before, but I came close for tardiness last year. Have you ever been suspended?
I also appreciated your inquiry into the Heiran - Hyunki situation. I can't believe I forgot to update you in my last letter, and you'll be glad to receive it! Unbelievably, they got back together. I know it's what we feared would happen, but apparently Heiran has made some of her own mistakes in the relationship, so she's willing to overlook the whole thing. Absolutely crazy - I think that she's just scared to break up with him, which I suppose is a fair concern - just not for a 16-year-old. The whole situation really made me think about the purpose of relationships and love. All of my friends keep rushing into relationships this year, and I feel like I'm being left behind. I just don't care as much as they do, but they act like I'm some alien creature for not wanting to make out with someone in the school locker rooms. Perhaps this isn't something you can relate to, but it would be nice to know if you think I'm justified in my opinion or if there really is something wrong with me.
The thought of starting school again after the break is actually making me want to run away to the mountains. My sister is leaving for university and I don't want to go to school without her. Of course, I can't tell her that, but it's going to be really lonely walking in on my own. Plus, my parents' attention is firmly on me now, so I can't mess up in exams this year. The amount of pressure is going to make my head explode. How are you feeling about the year? I guess because you have the football season to look forward to your mind is probably focused on that?
I'm thinking about rejoining hockey this year. Even though it was too much last year, I did really miss it and I think I can better manage my time now that I don't have to be in the choir anymore. I think my mom might have a fit when I tell her, but the way you talked about sports really made me miss playing. Plus, apparently, I need an outlet for all these teenage hormonal emotions seeing as I'm not getting it on in the McDonald's parking lot.
Anyways, I need to get going now so I have time to blend some fruit up before lunchtime.
Yours truly,
Dusty
A chuckle leaves your lips as you read back over your letter. You'd been so worried about who was dating who and, more importantly, who you weren't dating. You were always so grateful for someone to discuss your fears with - your friends at the time certainly didn't understand. You'd had your first kiss a few weeks after you'd sent the letter. A party at a friend of a friend's house had devolved into typical teenage party games and you'd been pressured into kissing a boy whose name you couldn't remember. In fairness, you remembered that he was cute - curly dark hair and sharp cheekbones - but you'd made a joke about not being able to engage in tonsil tennis and he hadn't laughed so you'd known he wasn't the one.

June 27th 2011
Dear Dusty,
I finally asked out Myunghee and she said yes -
Nuh uh, skip that one.

October 23rd 2013
Dear Dusty,
All the kids in the year have planned a big Halloween party to celebrate our last your of high school. It's pretty exciting - apparently, they've bought some major decorations and they're going to set out the host's house to have scary surprises in all the rooms. I wouldn't be surprised if someone dresses up and decides to chase drunk kids around all night. It's a bittersweet feeling - our last Halloween party, but perhaps our best? Do you have any plans for Halloween and the holidays? I'm thinking of doing a Superman costume, but I'm wondering if that's a bit too obvious?
I put off writing about it first because I didn't want to open the letter with bad news, but I wanted to let you know that me and Myunghee broke up. Even though it's pretty sad, I've known it was coming for a while. If you remember my last letter, I told you about the fight that we had about next year, and I think that was really the beginning of the end. I was hoping that we could make it work a bit longer, but she said that we'd just be dragging out the inevitable and I guess she's right. I think I'm still a bit annoyed about the rollercoaster of the last month seeing if she's known the whole time that we should break up but I'll get over it. It's mostly just weird not having her around all the time. Everywhere feels a lot emptier now. I'm glad I can write to you about this - it's a bit awkward talking about it with my friends because they are also friends with her, but I can actually be honest with you.
Anyway, I hope you are doing a bit better than me. Your date sounded pretty cool - I've always wanted to go on an ice-skating date but I'd be a bit scared of falling over and making a fool of myself so I admire your confidence. If you are still seeing him, I hope he's treating you well. Chocolates and flowers at least once a month - and you can tell him I said so if he asks. If you're not seeing him, I (pre-emptively) can't believe he did that to you! What a jerk...
Are you watching the AFC Champions League final? A few friends and I are going to go down to the bar to watch it together and pray for a good result - either way, it should be fun. I suppose your dad will have it on in the house, but I'll be shocked if you tell me you're going to watch it with him after last time. Best to avoid the flying wrath of a TV remote. There's something about dads and sports, isn't there? I wonder if I'll be like that when I'm an adult. I hope not, but I already get too into it so maybe it's inevitable.
Yours,
Cherry
That date had been a good one as far as you remember, but the memory has become blurry after all the times your husband has taken you ice-skating since. You'd dated that guy for a few more weeks after this, but he made a weird comment to one of his friends when he didn't think you could hear it so you knew he wasn't the one.
Finishing high school and moving on to university had been a formative time for you. You gained a sense of identity that you'd lost as a teenager, and reconnected with your younger self. A smile crinkles your lips as you think about that time. The stupid escapades of adults let loose on their own for the first time, the lifelong friends you'd made, and the wealth of knowledge you'd gained about yourself and about the world. Your husband never attended university so he never experienced any of that, but you suppose he did have his own life-changing revelations during this time.

February 8th 2015
Dear Cherry,
I'm in crisis and I need your advice! I haven't spoken to anyone else about this yet, but I have a feeling building in me that needs to be released and you always give me the best advice. I'm thinking about dropping out of my program.
I know this sounds super rash and stupid, but I really hate it. I find it so dull and confusing, and everyone else is much better at it than I am. And, if I'm really being honest, I only chose medicine because my mother wanted me to. I would feel so stupid revealing that to anyone else, but I think you already knew that was the case. I'm struggling to keep going with it without the passion that other students seem to have, and when I hear about my friends' courses they sound so much more interesting.
If I actually go through with it, this may be the last letter I write to you. But, given that I survived my mother's wrath, a life studying literature or archaeology sounds so much more fulfilling to my brain even if not my pockets. What do you think about all of this? Is it worth following a passion that may lead to nothing or sticking it out with a stable, reliable path to future success without enjoyment?
As you know, I make very impulsive decisions, so I need your help in deciding whether or not this would be one of those.
Yours truly,
Dusty
P.S. I got asked to the dance by this really attractive guy who works at the coffee shop on campus so not everything is going wrong.
P.S.S. I found a rock which I thought was a meteorite but it was actually a magnetite - better luck next time!
You'd dropped out of your medicine major the moment you'd received the reply. Of course, your pen pal was a lot more supportive of your decision than your parents were but they got over it in time. Your fate had been decided the moment you'd stepped out of your first archaeology class - heart beaming and mind brimming with all of your plans for the future. Despite your parents' apprehensions, it had been the right decision. It didn't take long for your burning enthusiasm and insatiable appetite for learning to be picked up by your professors, and by your second year in the major you'd been invited on an exclusive trip one of your professors was going on with a handful of other students.
It was around this time that you'd started wondering more about your pen pal. The flutters of your heart each time the small envelope appeared in your dorm pigeonhole had been drowned out by the rush of university life. Reflecting back, your obliviousness to your own emotions makes you shake your head in disbelief. But then, you'd met Daejung. He'd taken you out dancing, brought you flowers and laughed at your jokes, and you began to wonder if he was the one.

Dear Dusty,
Officially, you may know me better than anyone else. I know I already sent you a letter this month that you probably haven't even received, but I realised that it is the tenth anniversary since I received your first letter. Not to be soppy, but it truly means the world to me that we've been able to keep up this correspondence this whole time.
As far as I'm aware, we won the Pen Pal Project. No one else I know stayed in touch with their childhood pen pal for nearly as long as we have, and I think that we deserve some kind of reward for it.
But, beyond any records we must have broken, I'm most grateful for the friendship we have developed. In any other circumstances, I would have said that it was impossible for people who have never met to be each other's closest confidants, but I can confidently say that there is nothing I wouldn't tell you. If it turns out you've been some 60-year-old man this whole time, consider me logged off from this life.
My wish is that we can keep doing this for as long as we are able to hold pens in our hands, and even then I'd consider getting a scribe to write the letters for me.
As a gift, I feel that it's about time that I tell you my name - my real name. If you (and your mom) still don't feel comfortable sharing yours then Dusty is still perfectly fine for me, but the fundamental disconnect between telling a person your deepest secrets and not telling them your name has gotten too overwhelming for me, so it's time to rectify that.
Yours,
Seungcheol
P.S. If you still want to call me Cherry that's also a-okay!
The first time Seungcheol revealed his name to you, you remember you'd dropped the letter in shock. As if knowing his name changed things, as if he didn't live a completely separate life from you already. It wasn't like knowing who he was would change anything about your life - you had no connection to him other than your letters - but the intimacy of his name had you staggering a few steps backwards, eye bulging from your head at the fallen letter. It seems rather overdramatic now, but in hindsight it always does.
This letter had been a bit of a turning point in your relationship, beyond the end of the nicknames you'd used for ten years. You'd always felt close enough to Seungcheol to pour your heart out to him in writing, but the closeness you felt was compounded in this letter. You wipe a few rogue tears from your eyes as you read back over it, moved by the raw declarations Seungcheol had been brave enough to express. If you really think about it, this letter was the first time you'd truly tried to picture what your pen pal looked like. Up until this point, you'd been enflamed by his words and unloaded all of your deepest thoughts to him in return, but this was the first time that you'd realised that your pen pal was a real man your age that you were already deeply connected to. The thought had been scandalous in your mind, and the shame that overwhelmed you when you'd met up with Daejung later that day made it hard to look him in the eye. Fantasising about a man you had never seen before had felt as bad as cheating, and the various forms of him that had appeared in your dreams for the rest of the week only compounded your guilt.

Dear Seungcheol,
Happy 24th Birthday! It's actually shocking to me to think that we're this old already, but I think mid-20s is a label that suits you well these days. Jokes aside, I hope you have a really lovely day doing whatever it is you have planned. I'll assume you're off bungee jumping with Jeonghan or on an all-inclusive golfing retreat until you tell me otherwise. In all cases, I hope that you are surrounded by friends and family to remind you how special you are.
Also, congratulations on your new job! I can't believe you didn't tell me that you were interviewing for it, but I suppose you didn't want to jinx anything by putting it into writing. I always thought that coaching would suit you - you could scare me into coming to practice any day! You should be really proud of yourself; I know that I am.
You'll never guess who got in contact with me this week! All out of nowhere, I got a message from Heiran of all people inviting me to her and Hyunki's wedding! I guess I was really wrong about that one... For their sake, I hope that their relationship is a bit better than it was in school. I was very surprised to be invited seeing as we haven't spoken in years, but I suppose it'll be nice to see everyone from school again. Perhaps I should tell Daejung that he can't come and you can be my plus one instead - I think you know the couple better than he does!
Another one of my friends just gave birth to a baby boy. All of this marrying and birth-giving is really screwing with my head. As far as I was aware, that's a thing that proper adults do and we're nowhere close to that yet. Even if I know that 24 is a very common age to be doing that stuff, it's still more than my brain can process. Once again, I am left behind as everyone else moves on to the next stage of life. I'm grateful, at least, that Daejung is pretty relaxed about all of that stuff. Hoping we can have a few more years before we start thinking about any of it - I still have so much travelling to do, things to see, and meals to eat before I flush all of my money down the toilet.
Jiwoo got really excited this week because she thought she saw Lee Byunghun walking past her work, so that made me feel a bit better about my life priorities.
Yours truly,
(Y/n)
P.S. I'm spending extra money to make sure this gets to you on time, so if it doesn't you cannot blame me.
P.P.S. My new address is - XXX
That year you and Daejung had finally moved in together. The apartment was small and in a less-than-nice area, but you'd been ecstatic at the chance to live with the man you loved. It had been a rough year before that - Daejung had missed out on a job offer for his dream role and you weren't able to go abroad on an excavation because he didn't want you to leave for months just as you were moving in together - but you'd seen the new apartment as symbolic of the new beginning you two would get together.
You'd also thought a lot about meeting up with Seungcheol that year. Looking back, it was crazy that you never did. Both of you expressed a will to do so, but something had always prevented you from actually doing it. You were completing your postgraduate degree part-time and working a service job that was supporting both you and Daejung at the start of the year, moving in together in the middle of the year, and Seungcheol had gotten busy with his new job in the latter half of the year. Even though you had never met up before, that you weren't able to that year was the first time it felt like a loss.

Dear (Y/n),
I've been thinking about you a lot recently. Writing to you has been the highlight of my month for a while now, and I'm so proud of you for everything you've achieved. It's amazing that you're already being asked to go on your first excursion as a proper expert, and I hope that Daejung comes around to the idea of you being away for so long. I'm sure that I'll miss your letters so I can imagine he's feeling much worse about it - but that shouldn't stop you from going. You might find an ancient vase and accidently release a curse upon the world, or discover a new dinosaur! Even if you go and are just digging up dirt with no results, I'll still be impressed.
One of the kids I mentor asked me if I knew what Starcraft was yesterday, and at that moment I really felt my age. I think it's led to some level of introspection I usually avoid, but one thing that has become clear to me is that I'm very grateful for this friendship. I hope that one day soon you can perhaps travel to Daegu and visit, or I can come see you in Seoul. Or perhaps it will take away the great fun of having a pen pal if we meet - you may be expecting someone completely opposite from me and seeing me may ruin the magic?
But the main reason I've been thinking about you is because I finally finished Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982. You were very correct in your recommendation - I can't believe it took me so long to read it! Summary of thoughts: I'm raging and also apologising to my mother and grandmother every time I see them. You have to send me another recommendation now that I'm finished - maybe some sort of mystery or thriller if you know any?
Yours,
Seungcheol
P.S. I suppose I should send you a whip and brown fedora and then you can officially say you're Indiana Jones.

January 7th 2021
Dear Seungcheol,
I'm glad you had fun on your trip! The picture you sent of the mountains was absolutely gorgeous and was a hilarious reminder that I have no idea what you look like. I keep saying I want to go to Japan but can hardly find the time, but after seeing the picture I really must go now.
I have some big news.
Daejung proposed and we're getting married!!
I know it's a bit out of the blue - I was surprised too. He's been putting off any mention of marriage for the last few months so I assumed he just wasn't interested but I guess that was all a cover to stop me from suspecting the proposal. It happened a few days after I got back from Vienna. It was really sweet - he threw this big party with all of our close friends and family to celebrate the end of my project and proposed at the end of the night. I was pretty shocked which I suppose was the point, but I'm really just excited that we're taking that step together.
My main purpose for writing is that I wanted to invite you to the wedding. It's a big step, but it wouldn't feel right to get married without one of my oldest friends there. If you decide you don't want to and you want to keep our friendship strictly on paper then I'd totally understand. But if you do want to come, we'd love to have you with us. I'll cover any travel and hotel fees if it means I can have you here.
Your continued support via letter means the world to me.
Yours truly,
(Y/n)

The wedding. Oh, the wedding.
A few nights before your wedding Daejung had come to the hotel you'd been staying in that week to finalise all of the preparations and observe some old-fashioned pre-wedding rituals your mother insisted on as if you and Daejung hadn't lived together for years before that. He'd given you a marriage gift a bit early because you were supposed to go straight to your honeymoon in Japan on the day of the wedding. Your heart fluttered in excitement as you opened the box, electrified at the surprise of what your future-husband could have gotten you to symbolise your union together. The reality had been, you could now admit, disappointing. The necklace had been pretty, and certainly not cheap. A silver heart set with a gleaming diamond to match the ring that Daejung had picked out for you. You'd smiled, thanking him for the gift and tried to ignore the discontent brewing in your own heart.
The first time you saw Seungcheol was at your wedding reception. Because of his job and the distance, he hadn't been able to make your morning ceremony, but the fact that he even chose to come all that way meant a lot to you.
"Who's the hunk with the green scarf?" One of your bridesmaids, Jiwoo had asked, pointing out a man standing alone by one of the drinks tables.
For a moment you didn't want to believe that it was him, but who else would be at your wedding that you didn't recognise? Tall and broad with fluffy hair and a handsome-beyond-belief face, Seungcheol had been a picture to witness. All dressed up in a suit, you thought he looked rather like a super spy or a CEO from one of those corny romance books. In any case, you were shocked to your core that that was the man you'd spilt your darkest secrets to for over a decade now.
"Oh, I think that might be Seungcheol," You breathed, voice wavering with uncertainty even though you were now certain it was him.
"Seungcheol - hmm, why does that name sound so familiar?" Your other bridesmaid, Mirae, pondered, her brow crinkled as she tried to identify the name in her memory.
"Oh my god, you invited your pen pal to your wedding?!" Jiwoo exclaimed, spinning on her heel to give you an incredulous look.
"Of course I did, I've known him for almost as long as I've known you!" You stuttered, your head still trying to play catch-up after the dizzying appearance of said topic of conversation.
"Why didn't you tell me that your pen pal was so hot?" Mirae scoffed, mock fanning her face in a way that made you feel shamefully irritated.
"Surprisingly, he didn't mention it in his letters." You responded, offering her a deadpan look and an eyebrow raise. She shrugged, but you'd known that wouldn't be the end of that conversation.
About 15 minutes later, you'd finally managed to make your way over to Seungcheol's perch. It was hard to decipher if your delay was because of all of the people trying to talk to you at the same time (perks of it being your wedding) or because of the unexplained fear and anxiety that was bubbling inside you at the prospect of finally meeting him face-to-face. As you finally made eye-contact, and he'd flashed his teeth at you in an infectious grin, you'd felt all of that melt away from you.
"Hi," You greeted, not able to wipe your own smile from your face.
"Hi," He responded, a peace settling between the two of you. "You look really beautiful."
Your face was all ablush and you felt a sense of dread at what would happen if you started like this. Starting down at your dress, you were unable to look back up at him.
"Thank you, I had it specially made," You smiled, your eyes gleaming as he chuckled at your joke. "I really appreciate you coming all this way, it means so much to me that you're here. Please let me know if there's anything you need - have you eaten yet? I can get you some-"
"It's okay, I'm feeling great." His hand reached out to still your own, which you hadn't realised was nervously picking at at skin around your nails.
"I can't believe that this is how we're first meeting," You breathed, a sense of shyness overwhelming you at the feeling of his skin against yours.
"If you ask me, we've definitely met before. Just not physically." His words had your head spinning so much that you were struggling to remember that you were both at your wedding.
"Poetic," You agreed, trying to present at least outwardly calmer than you felt inside.
"Oh! Before I forget, I got you this." Seungcheol extended a hand out with a small, wrapped box in his palm. "It wasn't on the registry, and really it's only for you so I thought I should give it to you personally instead of putting it on the gifts table."
"That's really generous of you, you didn't have to." You offered him a shy smile, taking the gift from him. The neatly wrapped box had been laced shut with a pretty blue ribbon, and you remember the thumping of your heart in your chest as you undid it. A small gasp involuntarily left your mouth, your hand moving to cover it in shock.
"Important backstory - I found it a few years after you told me you were looking for it. I wanted to just send it to you then, but I thought that I should keep it for when we met. I never thought that it would take so long to do so, but I hung on to it just in case."
A small chunk of dark meteorite sat in the box in your hand. Looking up and down between Seungcheol and the rock, you felt your eyes well up with tears that you had to force back down to not ruin your wedding makeup.
"Oh wow," Your voice cracked, "Seungcheol, this is seriously so sweet. I'm shocked that you kept this for me."
You felt unable to tell him all of your emotions, hoping that the gratitude in your eyes was enough to express them all to him. The sweet, adoring expression on his face told you that he understood without you needing to say any more.
That, unfortunately, had been the highlight of your wedding.
Not an hour later, it had all gone to shit, starting with a well-intentioned comment from your best friend.
"The wedding is so gorgeous (Y/n), I'll have to take notes for my own." Jiwoo gushed, pointing at all the flowers that had now been revealed as people moved into the outside area of the venue.
"I know, Daejung did a really good job picking out this place."
"I'm so happy for you two, especially after the whole Vienna situation."
A bolt of alarm rang through your bones as you a struck still by the comment. You didn't miss the panicked look Mirae sent Jiwoo, who looked equally as confused as you felt.
"What-" You tried to compose yourself amongst the rushes of fear that were threatening to render you completely useful. "What do you mean the Vienna situation?"
Jiwoo was now floundering, looking between you and Mirae with a gaping mouth.
"I just meant - I mean, nevermind - I thought... I thought you knew?" The last whispered part had your heart sinking to the bottom of your chest. Mirae was refusing to meet your gaze, and that was telling you all you needed to know.
"Did something happen when I was away?" You demanded, your voice slick with emotion.
"(Y/n)..." Mirae started, but the withering look you gave her immediately stopped her placating.
Four words later and your entire life had exploded. He cheated on you. Whilst you were away, no less. And then, as if it would magically make everything better, proposed instead of telling you.
The look on your then-husband's face when you stormed up to him demanding to know the truth was enough to convince you of the reality of your friend's words. You could now admit, amidst all of the hurt, anger and disgust you felt towards Daejung at that moment, your overriding emotion was utter panic at the thought of having to tell all of your guests that the wedding was to be stopped and annulled. A trivial emotion amongst the personal grief you were experiencing, but undoubtedly the cause of your greatest distress at the moment.
You didn't see Seungcheol as or after it all happened. Any pretence of calm instantly slipped the moment you began speaking to your family and friends - a speech which ended with you in floods of tears being escorted away from the hosts of shocked guests. It was only hours later that you realised that you hadn't said goodbye and, worse, that you'd invited him all of this way just to witness the shitshow that was your failed marriage. Too ashamed to burden him further, you chose not to write to him for months afterwards He gave you space too, and you weren't sure if you felt grateful for it or utterly alarmed that he may just never want to speak to you again.

May 6th 2021
Dear Seungcheol,
I'm deeply sorry for my complete silence, although I suppose I do not need to explain to you the reason for it. My hand has been itching to pick up my pen and write to you every month that goes by, but only now have I overcome my own shame and disgrace to do so. First of all, I have to sincerely apologise for making you waste your time coming to such an awful event. I can only hope that you managed to get a slice of cake before it all fell apart so that I could at least offer you the condolence of a delicious snack. I also must apologise for completely abandoning you during your trip to the city. I was really looking forward to showing you my favourite spots, and I let my own misery get in the way of being a good host.
I hope you are well. As I haven't heard from you in a little while, I don't know what's going on with you so I have little to comment on. But, at the very least, I wish for your good health and general happiness. If you are worried about me, you don't need to be. I have taken the last few months to put my life back together, and I feel like I'm making better progress these days - hence the letter writing. I'm thinking of getting a dog for companionship since I have vehemently sworn off men for the foreseeable future.
I also wanted you to know that I treasure your gift. As it turns out, meeting you and getting a meteorite was the best part of that night, if you'll believe it. I have it kept in a special box on my desk just to make sure that it's safe and that I'll never lose it. I wish I could have given you something in return. If we end up meeting again I'll have to start planning now to make sure my gift is just as good as yours was. Speaking of, you are welcome to come and stay with me any time you want, and we can rain-check that city tour. Alternatively, if you want to ignore this letter and never speak to me again, I'd also understand.
Yours truly,
(Y/n)

May 19th 2021
Dear (Y/n),
I'm so glad to have heard from you, and that you are doing okay. As much as I appreciate all of your apologies, none of them are necessary. If anything, I feel that I should be apologising to you for leaving you in the dark for just as long as you left me - you had a much better excuse too. Although I didn't want to overwhelm you with letters after such awful news, I realise now that leaving it so long was not the right course of action.
I think getting a dog is a fantastic idea. Company is something you'll never lack with a dog around, and I can agree that dogs are much better companions than men.
As for me, I am doing well too. It's mostly just been a cycle of work and sleep, so I haven't got much to report, but I'm hoping for a more eventful summer. Visiting the city would be a wonderful way to achieve this, so perhaps closer to the time I'll write again to arrange coming to stay with you. I would love to see you again soon. My only other news that I know you'd be interested in is that Jeonghan has seemingly met someone. He's keeping all of the details close to the chest, so I'll have to update you in the next letter when I know more, but it's an exciting revelation. He seems very happy, which is all I can hope for.
When I told you that I wouldn't stop writing to you until I could no longer hold a pen in my hand, I meant it. I hope that you will never again think that I wouldn't want to speak to you -it's the highlight of my day.
Yours,
Seungcheol
P.S. I'm sure you don't want to talk about the wedding, but just so you know - he was a fucking fool to let you go.
You remember the relief you'd felt at getting that letter. The uncertainty of whether or not Seungcheol still wanted to talk to you was enough to keep you on edge for the entire 13 days that it took for you to get his response. But, as always, your friend was reliably there for you.
The time you'd taken over those last new months, and the few months afterwards had been tumultuous, but cleansing. In your post-marriage clarity, you'd realised all of the opportunities you'd missed because of Daejung. Deciding that you wouldn't let him take anything else from you, you'd arranged to go on a long excursion you'd waved off for wedding planning when you'd first heard about it. Learning about the project from one of your old professors who'd transferred to Cairo University, you were offered a position on the ongoing expedition in Saqqara. Although Egyptology was not your speciality, your master's dissertation on the mummified scarab beetles found at Saqqara in 2018 and your tutor's reference got you onto a low-level position on the expedition.
Six months in Egypt had been exactly what you needed to move on from Daejung. At that time, your relationship with your closest friends was also on the rocks, and it was really only Seungcheol and your family that you missed during your time abroad.

December 23rd 2021
Dear Seungcheol,
I've finally got some time off over the holiday break, and I'm ready to give you the download of everything that's happening here in Saqqara! But, first, I'm going to have to beg you for the details of your double date with Jeonghan and Jooyeon. How was it!? Was Jooyeon's friend nice? Were there sparks? How many times did Jeonghan bring up embarrassing stories about you as a kid?
I hope it went well - you deserve all of the happiness in the world.
Now, onto the important stuff!
I'm not sure if you saw on the news, but we've made some pretty huge finds since I got here, Obviously, I can't give myself all the credit, but just being part of the team that made it happen is pretty incredible. We've found multiple tombs of dignitaries from the reign of Ramses II. I'm doing a bit of research on one of the tombs, belonging to a military leader called Hor Mohib, but I have to keep taking breaks every 20 minutes to pinch my arm and remind myself that this is reality.
My Arabic has gotten significantly better now - I was rather rusty when I first got here. I'm able to have reasonably complex conversations with the Egyptian members of the team and the locals helping out, and it's pretty cool for my nerd brain to be surrounded by a group of people equally as excited to be digging up ornamental graves as I am.
I'm really glad I came. It's hard to admit, even to you, but my life really fell apart after the wedding. Honestly, I didn't even know if I wanted to keep working in archaeology or if I wanted to jet off to Iceland and buy a farm. And the worst bit is that it's been so lonely since. Losing Daejung was one thing, but I haven't spoken to Jiwoo or Mirae since. I can't bear to look at them knowing that they hid that secret from me for so long. Maybe one day I'll be able to forgive them, but it certainly won't be now. Your letters have been my only sanctuary of human connection in these past few months, and that's something I'll have to add to my list of neverending gratitude I hold for you.
I realize now that I haven’t been very good at expressing how much your friendship means to me, how it's been my lifeline in this mess. Your letters are the only constant, the only thing that feels like home even when I am surrounded by ancient wonders and new colleagues.
And so, I have a confession. I want to see you again. I want to tell you all of this in person. I can't say what will come of it, but I know that after all of these years, after all the letters and confessions and secrets shared, we owe it to ourselves to meet in a way that isn't rushed or overshadowed by anything else.
Maybe we could meet halfway between Seoul and Daegu, or I could take the train down to visit you? I need to see you again, not as a guest at my ruined wedding, but as Seungcheol, the one person who’s known me at my best and worst, and still chooses to write back.
Let me know what you think.
Yours truly,
(Y/n)
P.S. I've included a small rock I found on the dig - nothing special but it reminded me of our old conversations. I hope it makes you smile.
P.P.S. Please don't feel pressured to say yes, but know that I would really like to see you again.
You can't quite recall what possessed you to write such a bold letter. Perhaps it had been the desert sun, the thrill of discovering something new in something old at Saqqara, or simply your immense loneliness.
Days had turned into weeks as you anxiously waited for a response, checking your makeshift mailbox daily. Then one morning, there it was—a simple white envelope with Seungcheol’s familiar sloping handwriting.

January 17th 2022
My Dear (Y/n),
I've thought about meeting you countless times since our first encounter. After reading your words, I realise that I've been waiting for this just as much as you have. How's this - I'll take the first train up to Seoul when you're back and we can spend the day together. No distractions, no interruptions - just you and me, finally getting to know each other beyond the pages of our letters.
I'm looking forward to me, more than I can express. Until I see you again, take care, and know that I'm counting down the days.
All yours,
Seungcheol
P.S. the best bit about the date was spending time with Jeonghan. No more needs to be said.
You stare down at the letter, your heart pacing as fast as it had the first time you'd received it. Beautiful words from a beautiful man with a beautiful soul.
You'd gotten back to Seoul by the end of March 2022, and, as promised, Seungcheol came to visit you that first weekend in April. When he'd stepped off the train in the bustling station at the heart of the city, you were there to greet him. You'd spotted him standing there, taller even than you'd remembered, with that same easy smile that had always leapt off of the page.
The world around you had seemed to blur as you walked toward each other, nerves fluttering in your stomach but quickly dissolving as he pulled you into a gentle, lingering hug. The connection between you, once confined to words on paper, felt more real than ever.
You spent the day wandering through the city, visiting old bookstores, sipping coffee in quiet cafes, and talking as if no time had passed since that fateful wedding reception. Every shared laugh, every story swapped, deepened the bond you'd forged in ink.

June 14th 2022
Seungcheol,
It feels like only yesterday that we were wandering through Seoul together, but at the same time, it feels like a lifetime ago. I keep finding myself replaying that day in my mind - how easy it was to talk to you in person, as if we'd done it a hundred times before. It's strange, isn't it? How someone can feel so familiar, even when they're a whole new experience at the same time.
I've been thinking about our conversation in the bookstore. You said something about how some stories are better left unfinished, that sometimes the best part of a tale is imagining what could be. I can't stop thinking about that - about how some stories do need an ending, and how others are meant to keep going, even if we don’t know where they’ll lead.
There's something I've been meaning to tell you, but I haven't found the right words yet. I guess I'm still figuring it out myself. It's just that being around you feels different to how I expected. There's a comfort, yes, but also something more, something I can't quite define. It's like we're on the edge of something new, and it's exciting and a little terrifying at the same time. I'm not sure if you feel it too, but I hope you do.
Anyway, I don't want to get too ahead of myself as usual. I'm just really glad we've reconnected, and that we've managed to keep in touch after all these years.
It means more to me than I can say. Let’s make sure our next meeting isn’t too far off—I’m already looking forward to it.
Until then, take care of yourself, and don’t work too hard. I’ll be watching the clock until I see you again.
Yours,
(Y/n)
That day in April 2022 hadn't been the last time you saw Seungcheol. You'd made that mistake once in the past, and neither of you was willing to do so again. He continued to come to Seoul to see you, and you travelled down to Daegu to meet him and his friends. Your letters ceased for a while over this time due to the frequency you were seeing each other, but for the first time that didn't bother you.
You remember, with teary eyes, the day that you finally confessed your feelings.
It was 25th September 2022, after a whole summer spent together, and the air was tinged with the first hint of autumn's chill. THe leaves were just beginning to turn, painting the streets in warm hues of amber and crimson as you walked side by side in a quiet part in Seoul. The easy laughter and conversation that had marked your friendship over the years felt heavier that day, as it something unspoken was lingering in the crisp air between you.
You had spent countless days together that summer - visiting museums, trying new restaurants, even embarking on a spontaneous week trip to the coast. Each moment with Seunngchaeol had felt like a dream, a slow realisation that your heart was no longer just content with friendship. But with that realization came a fear you hadn't expected. What if this was enough for him? What if risking everything by confessing how you truly felt would unravel the beautiful bond you had spent so many years cultivating?
That evening, as the sun dipped low on the horizon, casting long shadows across the park, you found yourselves sitting on a bench overlooking a small pond. The water was still, reflecting the fiery colours of the sky, and for a long moment, neither of you spoke. Seungcheol had been quieter than usual that day, his expression pensive as if he, too, was wrestling with unspoken thoughts.
You felt your heart pound in your chest, each beat louder than the last as you tried to summon the courage to speak. The words were caught in your throat, but the fear of losing him if you didn’t say them was stronger. Finally, unable to hold it in any longer, you turned to him, your voice trembling as you broke the silence.
"Seungcheol," you began, your hands nervously fidgeting in your lap. He turned to look at you, his eyes soft and attentive, encouraging you to continue. "There’s something I need to tell you… something I’ve been feeling for a while now."
His gaze didn’t waver, but you noticed the slight hitch in his breath, the way his fingers tightened slightly around the edge of the bench. The world seemed to shrink to just the two of you, everything else fading away as you gathered your thoughts.
"I—" You paused, trying to find the right words, but there were none that seemed adequate to express the depth of your feelings. "I think I’ve fallen in love with you."
The admission hung in the air between you, a fragile confession that you could no longer take back. For a moment, time seemed to stop, the world holding its breath as you waited for his response. You searched his face for any sign of what he might be thinking, every second feeling like an eternity.
Then, without a word, Seungcheol reached out, his hand gently cupping your cheek, his thumb brushing away the tear that had escaped down your cheek. There was a tenderness in his touch, a warmth that radiated through you, calming your racing heart.
"I’ve been waiting to hear those words," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "Because I’ve been feeling the same way for a long time too."
His words washed over you, a wave of relief and joy so overwhelming that you felt your breath hitch. You had been so afraid, so uncertain, and now, with his quiet confession, all those fears melted away. He leaned in slowly, giving you time to pull back if you needed to, but you didn’t. You closed the distance between you, your lips meeting his in a gentle, tender kiss that felt like a promise—one of many yet to come.

Hearing the doorbell ring down below you, and the sound of your husband's voice calling out to say he'll get it, you rush forward to reach your favourite letter - just one more before you return to reality.
November 3rd 2023
My dearest (Y/n),
I'm so glad you're having such a good time in Rome - I'm rather jealous of all of your sightseeing and pasta-eating. Kkuma and I are holding the fort down at home, although I had to be scolded yesterday for breaking the toaster when I tried to make Kkuma some breakfast. I sent some more suncream over in the mail because I know you've already run out and forgotten to get some more - I'm not sure if this letter will reach you first, but if it does look out for the parcel.
Now, I'll admit, the main purpose of my letter is something a little different than simply catching up, as much as I love those letters too. I thought about doing this once you returned home, but you've already had one man declare his everlasting intentions to you after you returned from an excursion, so I thought it better to avoid rehashing those memories (we'll do this again when you're home, but I thought it might be fun to do it this way).
If you have the suncream box already, then you may have a sneaking suspicion of what I'm about to say.
I've loved you for as long as I've known you. As a twelve-year-old kid, I didn't know that was what it was, but the level of obsession I had with writing to you and receiving your replies was beyond any normal friendship. You were always so fascinatingly cool, out of reach, and genuinely yourself. Being in love with your pen pal isn't always an easy thing - the cold sweats I would wake up to after dreaming about meeting for the first time, the constant updates about a life that I wasn't a part of, the announcement of your engagement to another person. I tried to pretend it wasn't real for a long time, see other people, because of how silly I felt about being in love with someone I'd never met.
And then I saw you standing there, in that beautiful white gown with your hair up and that gorgeous smile on your face. Did you know that my hands were sweating when I gave you that gift? I don't think I've ever told you that before. I became certain then that I was completely screwed. Entirely head over heels.
I'll never be happy that that marriage didn't work out for you - all I've ever wanted is your happiness, be that with me or someone else. But I won't lie and say that nothing has made me happier than the consequences of it.
This past year has been the happiest time I've ever known. Every moment with you is filled with such joy, and every moment without I'm left with a record of memories to remind me of the time we've had together. When I look at you, I don't just see my past, but also my future. I see a lifetime of shared experiences, of laughter, or quiet moments that mean more than words ever could. I see us growing old together, supporting each other, and playing trash hockey on the wooden floor of our kitchen.
You are my best friend, my partner, the love of my life. And I want to spent every day making sure you know just how much you mean to me.
So, that being said, will you (Y/n) (Y/l/n), do me the honour of marrying me?
All yours,
Seungcheol
P.S. Please don't feel pressured to say yes, but know that I would really like it if you did.

You fiddle with the precious ring on your left hand, your fingers lingering over the smooth chunk of dark stone in the centre.
A gentle brush of a hand on your shoulders brings you back to the real world, tears now flaking on your cheeks as you sniffle at the words on the page.
"Are you okay, darling?" Seungcheol asks gently.
"Yes, sorry, I know the guests are here now - I just wanted to look at these," You reply, holding up the letters for your husband to see.
You watch his expression soften, a suggestion of moisture in the corner of his eyes as he looks over the written words.
Swooping down, he places a long, loving kiss on your forehead, letting your bodies rest together in harmony for a moment.
"I can't believe they still make me cry," You huff, letting out a soft laugh. "And I don't even think I can brush it off as hormones."
"Seeing that just looking at them has me tearing up, I don't think I can either." Seungcheol smiles, stroking the back of your hair affectionately.
"They're probably getting antsy downstairs, right?" You say, beginning to pile the letters back up into the box.
Standing up, you lean forward to press all of your passion and adoration onto your husband's lips. You can feel his intensity matching yours, his hands finding the side of your hips to keep you stable.
"They can wait," Seungcheol replies, his forehead leaning softly against your own. "They're not the ones who are pregnant after all."
You laugh, a sound filled with both joy and contentment, feeling the warmth of his love surrounding you. "I suppose you're right," you say, a smile spreading across your face. You take one last glance at the box of letters, a testament to the incredible journey you've both shared—one that began with innocent childhood exchanges and blossomed into a love story more profound than you could have ever imagined.
Hand in hand, you and Seungcheol make your way downstairs to greet your guests, the letters safely tucked away in their satin box. As you step into the room, you know that no matter what the future holds, you'll always have those words, those memories, and most importantly, each other.

☕️ height difference : ot7 line

pairing: enhypen x afab!reader
genre: fluff
summary: you and your height difference problems with enhypen
LEE HEESEUNG:
heeseung was waiting outside your apartment, with flowers in his hands, your favorites to be exact, which were tulips. he had on a white button up and light blue jeans to take you out to the park and chill for the rest of the day. he tried his hardest to keep his smile at a minimum, but once you walked out your apartment building, with your pretty light yellow dress, your hair pinned back by white pins, he couldn’t help but grin like a total idiot. “you look so gorgeous baby.” he smiled at you as you skipped up to him, “thank you- oh my! are these for me?” you gasp at the flowers he held, “they are indeed.” he looked down at you before handing you the flowers, your heart melted, heeseung then cupped your face to kiss you, you tried stepping up on your tippy toes but he was way too tall, so he leaned himself down to press his lips against yours.
-
PARK JONGSEONG:
since jay usually cooks for you and him, you decided to take things into your hands for a day. he was sitting across the counter watching you as you cooked, “i’m definitely not used to this.” he chuckled, since he was always the one who was cooking, “i know! but trust me, i know what im doing!” you nod and stirred the pot with sauce, you were making your infamous spaghetti, you walked over to the cabinet to grab the noodles to start them, you opened the cabinet, as your eyes scanned for the pack of noodles, you groaned once you saw them on the top shelf. you stood on your tippy toes trying to reach, but failed miserably, you rolled your eyes and began to get on the counter, “ay ay ay.. i got it, don’t hurt yourself princess.” jay quickly hurried around the counter, grabbing you and setting you back on the floor, and easily reached up to get the noodles, “why are they so high up!?” you sigh, “maybe because since i cook the most, i put it on the shelf i was comfortable with.” he chuckled, “the top shelf? jeez man you’re tall.” you giggled, he smiled and kissed the top of your head before handing you the noodles.
-
SIM JAEYUN:
you and jake were visiting your parents, jake was very well with his presence around them, you were just glad your parents liked him, you got up suddenly from the living room to go back to your childhood room, everything was still left the same way you left it when you turned 18. it was so nostalgia. seeing the pink walls, the pink bed sheets, all the stickers and things you decorated your room with. it was all coming back to you at once, making you smile, your eyes suddenly widened once you remembered you kept a box with all your memories you wanted to cherish in your closet, you walked over to it, and opened the door, seeing the blue box with a ribbon over it on the top shelf, pushed back. damnit. you only pushed it so far because you didn’t want anyone grabbing it and going through it, you stood on your tippy toes in an attempt to grab the box, but it was no help. you sighed and frowned, looking around to find anything to boost you up, jake then came in the room, smiling as he looked around the room, his smile suddenly dropped once he saw you, “hey? are you okay, what’s wrong love?” jake walked over to you, “could you teach that?” you pointed up to the box pushed back on the shelf, jake smiled and reached up, grabbing it effortlessly before handing it to you, “thank you.. i couldnt reach it..” you giggled, “i know.. it’s okay, you’re welcome. now in return can we look through it together?”
-
PARK SUNGHOON: (slightly similar to jakes^^)
sunghoon decided to take you out and spoil you, he took you to damn there every single store in the mall, giving you his card to buy anything you wanted, he would just follow around and adore the way your face lit up at different things, but the way it faded once you saw the price tag, “don’t worry about it babe. get what you want. it’s my treat.” he would remind you, and would also carry all your bags. you guys decided to make one more stop at a bag store, since you wanted a new purse. you walked in the store and began to examine all the purses, but one caught your eye, it was so pretty. it was a black purse with a silver outline, only problem was, it was on the top shelf. you turned to ask sunghoon to grab it, but he was slightly far away, looking around for himself. you sighed and tried to climb up on the shelf a bit, reaching your arm up, but you couldn’t reach, suddenly you feel a presence behind you, a arm next to yours grabbing the bag effortlessly, you turn around and was met with sunghoon, “you could’ve just asked me.” he chuckled and handed you the bag, you smiled and shook your head, “thank you.”
-
KIM SUNOO:
you and sunoo always had these self care days, every saturday he’d come over and you two would do face masks, skin care, each others hair and more, which led you to in your bathroom, as he set all his skin care down on the counter, “want me to do your skin care this time?” you ask him, he smiled at you and shook his head, “no, my turn.” he nod and pat your head, making you giggle. you washed your face and pat it dry with a towel, sunoo then grabbed the toner, and you stood in front of him so he could apply the toner onto your face, but he tilt his head, “hm..” he says, he suddenly picked you up off the floor, making you squeal, he sat you onto the counter, and smiled, “what was that for?” you giggled, “it makes it easier since you’re eye to eye with me.” he shrugged and softly applied the toner to your face, you couldn’t help but blush, he was so cute without even realizing it, “are you blushing or is that the toner?” he grinned, “just the toner.” you nod, both of you knowing it was definitely not the toner.
-
YANG JUNGWON:
you walked into the practice room, you came to cheer your boyfriend on as he practiced for their recent comeback, he stopped dancing and went to pause the music before running over to you, wrapping his arms around you, “missed you.” he chuckled, “you’re sweating!” you groan as he held you anyways, he pulled away and smiled down at you, “here to cheer me on?” he raised an eyebrow, you nod and smiled up at him, “cute. but first, let’s take a selfie.. so i can save it?” he asked, “sure!” you nod and grabbed your phone, you two walked over to the huge mirror in the room, you went to your camera and held up the phone, only problem was, jungwons face was cut off, due to him being taller than the entire camera, you giggled, “lean down!” you tap his arm, he looked at the camera and noticed how he wasn’t even fully in the frame, he chuckled and wrapped his arms around you before leaning to rest his head on your shoulder, the perfect pose for the perfect photo, as you snapped the camera 3 times. “it’s so cute.” you smiled looking at the results, jungwon not leaving your shoulder, “you’re so cute.” he smiled at your phone.
-
NISHIMURA RIKI:
finally, riki had a free day from his schedule to spend time with you after it felt like years since you two had quality time together, and the best way he wanted to spend his free day with you was to go to an amusement park, you guys were holding hands, walking down the amusement park, trying to find any ride that caught both of your eyes, you two turned your head, revealing to you was a huge green rollercoaster, “this one!” you point and jumped up slightly in excitement, he chuckled at your cuteness, “okay then, cmon.” he pulled you along as you two went to the line. before you guys got in line, you saw the “height requirements for ride”, niki chuckled and pulled you to him, then motioned you to stand beside the line that you had to reach, “uh oh, looks like you can’t ride..” he says, you groaned, you were just one inch below the required height for the ride, “damnit! what about you?” you asked him, he walked up to it instead, and expected, he was ABOVE the whole damn stick. “you are literally a giant.” you giggled, “you’re just short.” he scooped you onto his back, “it’s okay, let’s find something else to ride, okay?” he asked you, you smiled and wrapped your legs around him as he began walking with you on his back.

under the same roof | l.j ft l.m
♡ genre: smut - mdni! slight angst | roomates to lovers | word count: 2,455
♡ pairing: lee jeno x f. reader
♡ warnings: unprotected sex, oral (f. recieving)
♡ summary: tensions rise when your roommate mark goes out of town for a few days, leaving you with your other unfamiliar roommate jeno. will you be able to bridge the gap between the two of you or continue to avoid each other until mark returns?
♡ authors note: this idea was based off a dream i had (not abt these members) but i wanted to adapt it.
♡ song recommendation:
"should I just move out? i don’t want to cause any problems,” your voice tinged with unease. mark turned to you, his gaze softening. he took your hand in his, giving it a reassuring squeeze. the voices from the movie you were watching fading into the background. "dont be ridiculous, i want you to stay,” he said firmly before pausing. “however you aren't going to like this. i do have to go out of town for a few days for work.”
your eyes widened, and you felt a pang of anxiety. “please don’t go. or at least take me with you,” you pleaded, clinging to best friend and fellow roommate's arm. mark frowned, his expression a mix of sympathy and practicality. “if you get uncomfortable, you can stay with chenle or haechan or literally anyone else. i don’t want you to feel stuck here with jeno.”
just then, jeno emerged from his room and observed the exchange from the doorway, his expression inscrutable. "he hates me mark and i dont know why or how to fix it," you said, voice low. upon hearing that he shook his head and retreated back into his room.
it had been a few months since you had moved in with mark and one of his close friends, jeno. you felt like a burden, suddenly interfering on their space like this. you had unfortunately found out your boyfriend was cheating and had just gotten dumped, leaving you in a tough spot. with nowhere else to turn and mark being a saint, he offered his help to you. upon your arrival, you were told that jeno had a puppy like deamenor to him and that he was harmless. however, as soon as you stepped through the door, boxes in your arm slightly blocking your view, you crashed into his strong figure. looking up at him, apologizing profusely, he had an unreadable expression on his face, barely holding eye contact with you. without saying a word, he brushed past your shoulder and entered his room. since that day, you tiptoed around him, unsure of how to proceed. you weren't a very outgoing person to begin with, and making new friends was always an adjustment for you. mark tried to bridge the gap between you for the first few weeks, but it was no use, jeno wasn't budging. "hes stuck in his own ways. thats just jeno, but eventually, he will come around." mark was quick to say whenever he noticed you getting upset.
the next day, mark was gone and the apartment was eerily quiet. you wandered into the kitchen having just woken up, before spotting jeno. you barely acknowledged each other. reaching up for your coffee mug in the cupboard, you felt jenos gaze fall on you. "why are you wearing my shirt?” he asked, his voice slightly accusatory. jeno hardly ever spoke to you, not used to hearing him, you froze in place and muttered, “fuck,” under your breath. “i thought it was mark's. the laundry must have gotten mixed up." you studdered out looking at your feet, not wanting to meet his eyes. "but I can give it back.”
jeno's eyes softened slightly, a smile peeking its way onto his lips. he reached up behind you, outstretching his muscular arms, grabbing the mug you were having a hard time reaching from the shelf with one hand. he lingered for a moment, the sounds of your heart ringing in your eardrums. “keep it." his body pressed against yours, the other hand that was by his sides, brushing the hem where the shirt met the tops of your thighs. "it looks good on you.” he whispered in your ear. with that, he set the cup on the counter next to you and turned to leave the room.
later that day, you found jeno in the living room staring intently at the tv screen playing video games. you hesitated but eventually joined him on the couch. you didn't speak at first, his voice shocking you for the second time that day when he asked if you wanted to play with him. as the hours passed, you became more comfortable and ended up stretching out with your legs draped over his lap. jeno's hand lightly rested on them occasionally tapping or rubbing them when he wasn't pressing the controls on his remote. the awkwardness was fading as you got used to his presence. what was once an intimidating aura quickly softened and became comforting.
getting bored of staring at the tv screen, you and jeno began to further unwind with drinks and music, sitting criss cross on the living room floor, trying to break down the walls that had surrounded you. what better way to do that than with a game of truth or dare. eventually, the conversation turned to why jeno had been distant with you.
"i was nervous,” he admitted, his tone sincere. “i didn’t know much about you before you moved in. you’re one of mark's closest friends, and to be honest, i thought there might be something going on between you two, so i wanted to be respectful of that.” you laughed, and jeno jumped at hearing the sudden sound. it surprised him, but it was adorable, and he wanted to hear it more. "mark is like a brother to me, we ran around in our diapers together as kids"
jeno's cheeks flushed, a ting of embarrassment present on them. he moved closer, his eyes studying yours before continuing. “well, i think its cute how you cling to him.” you rolled your eyes playfully, you couldn’t help but feel flustered. “trust me, we aren't normally like that. i was only clingy to him because i couldn’t even go near you” you confessed, barely even registering what you said. jeno scooted closer to you, placing a hand on your bare knee. “looks like you can get close to me now,” jeno said softly, faces inches apart. your eyes flickered from his fingers, clutching the skin of your leg to the darkening pools in his eyes. you cleared your throat "um its my turn, i think," your voice becoming hoarse. "so what will it be truth....or dare" jeno quipped, lips curling upwards.
you felt a rush of emotion go through you. you didn't know if it was the liquid courage that you had, or if you were finally reaching a turning point but unable to resist, you whispered, “dare,” before leaning in. "i think you know what i want," he said in a hushed tone. his breath was mingling with your own, as you contemplated. just earlier today, you were terrified of the man, but that fear had turned to lust and greed. "fuck it" you murmured, placing your lips on his. jeno immediately took both your cheeks in his hands, pulling you in closer. the minute you moved in and crashed into him, you bumped him off his axis. he was flustered, and that never happened to him. you were beautiful and he knew he had to control himself for the sake of keeping the peace but now here you were in his arms, kissing him with such force, you knocked him even more off his guard.
you slipped your hands up his black tee. he was toned and felt incredibly hot against you. you broke away from the kiss, gasping for air. the sexual energy in the room was turned up 10x when he pulled his shirt over his head, revealing the rest of his body. you had to stop yourself from drooling at the sight. to be honest, the moment you met jeno, despite how he treated you, you felt drawn to him and maybe that's why it upset you so much that he didnt feel the same or so you thought.
it had been so long since you had been intimate with a man. every atom in your body was relishing at the feeling. you were extra sensitive, his hands gripped your...well his shirt and hiked it up to your belly button, as he kissed down your neck, to your collarbones, practically ripping the shirt in all directions to get as much access to you as he could. once he reached the top of your underwear, he sunk his teeth into the fabric, pulling down. honestly, he wasn't sure what had overcame him. this urge was unlike anything he had ever felt. on one hand, he felt like he had to prove just how sorry he was for how he treated you before and showed you that he wanted to do better. on the other, he had heard about your breakup from mark before you moved in, and as be observed you this whole time, he couldn't imagine why any man would be dumb enough to cheat on you. he wanted you to forget all about the hurt and finally move on with him.
he looked up at you, searching your eyes for any hint of hesistation, but all he was met with was the same desire mirroring his own. "do you trust me?" he asked, wanting confirmation. you wrapped a hand around his neck, pushing him closer to where you wanted him. thats all it took for him to wrap his lips on your clit. a surge of electricity surged through you, his mouth hot and tongue wet and skilled. he flicked the nub before moving down to your entrace, diving in deeper and twisting and turning to hit all the angles in your walls. if this was his form of an apology consider all to be forgiven.
you tasted like hints of cherry from the soju you had been drinking. your thighs tightened around his head, entrapping him and closing any potential opportunity for air to seep through. he chuckled against your heat, sending vibrations further into you. the noises you made and movement of your hips pressing into his face, he could tell you were close, and as much as he wanted to taste you completely, the throbbing in his pants was becoming unbearable. he was griding into the floor, the thought of your pussy sucking in his cock was swimming in his head as he swirled his tongue in circles around your nub once more. he pulled himself away from you, and before you could protest, he leaned up, pressing his clothed dick in between your thighs and buried his face in between your tits.
"do you still think i hate you?" he whimpered into your chest as he continued his movements. precum was leaking through his sweats mixing with yours, but before he could continue, he wanted to be sure the sex filled air was clear. you brushed his dark hair out of his eyes, you were seeing the puppy look for the very first time. every worry, negative thought, any resentment you had felt towards him melted away. you brought his face closer to yours, the distance between you becoming insufferable. you realized then that you didn't need any more space from jeno. space was a response to fear, and you had no reason for that any longer. "i think we have come to an understanding now" you said before filling in the gap.
you were fully locked in to each other, his hips swaying and snapping into yours. your pussy was like a void, minds going completely numb as pleasure took over. it wasn't enough for you, as you clawed his shoulders and back, wanting his body as near to you as possible. your lips moving in harmony to the feeling of his cock curling into you. you felt like you were falling through the floor, your back digging into the carpet below you as jeno pushed and bent your body to his will. if you had known that you were living with a sex god, you would have made amends with jeno long ago.
curse words littered out of your mouth, your orgasm teetering over your head. you were clinging onto it for so long, unable to let go of this feeling. when jeno had his way with you, would he go back to pretending like you didn't exist when mark got home? you didnt want to think of it, you wanted to place your faith in jeno. it was only one night, realistically how much could this actually change things between you two. jeno slowed his movements down for a moment, noticing how you had tensed up and tears began forming in your eyes. he couldn't bring himself to fully stop, not when you were both this close to being fully enveloped in each other. he kissed away the salty tears as they fell, moving his hand that was leaving bruises on your hip to your chin lifting to meet his tender gaze.
"stay with me, i promise i won't leave you alone again." he said confidently. you saw a twinkle of hope in his eyes, the sparkle of the truth. your mind began to settle, nodding your head and blush, finding its way onto your cheeks. jeno sped his hips up again, knocking your foreheads together as he smashed his lips into yours again, drowning in them. your orgasm thrashed over you moments later, finally feeling at peace. the war between your mind, body, and heart was settling. you lay there with jeno on the carpet of your living room, basking in the feeling of acceptance of one another.
-------------------------------------------------------
you woke up the next morning in jeno's room, having moved from your previous spot after you had regained yourselves. remnants from your late night sexscapade still hanging in the air. you were still groggy when you heard mark’s voice calling your name from the living room. "y/n? are you here?" mark’s voice was full of concern.
you jumped out of bed, shaking jeno awake. "jeno! get up! go distract mark and keep him in the kitchen!" jeno rubbed his eyes, looking confused but nodded quickly. you scrambled to throw on some clothes. the urgency was palpable—you and jeno's stuff was scattered in the living room, and mark was dangerously close to discovering it. as you finished collecting your things and hiding them, you heard mark's voice getting closer and nearly collided with him as he exited the kitchen. reacting instinctively, you threw my arms around him and hugged him tightly.
"whoa, you missed me that much?" mark laughed, his voice a mix of surprise and amusement. "was it really that bad without me?" he winced. you managed a laugh, "yeah, it was the worst." glancing over mark's shoulder and catching jeno's gaze. he was standing behind mark with a knowing look. you sighed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and relief.
you all settled down on the couch and started to fill mark in on the events of the past few days. "so, jeno and I spent some time together, and we actually got closer." mark looked intrigued. "oh, really? that’s great! what did you guys do?" you hesitated, choosing to leave out the more intimate details. "just hung out, talked a lot. it was... nice." mark offered a smile before wrapping his arms around both of your shoulders. "maybe i should go out of town more often then. i told you he would come around eventually." you could feel jeno's eyes lingering on you, and he added, "yeah, you should," offering you a wink.
♡ ending authors note: i was getting really into it and decided to split this up into another part, so that will be uploaded very soon! i hope you enjoyed

Gojo x reader Genre: Fluff Synopsis: What Gojo does to make you talk to him again Masterlist Requests open!
Gojo Satoru stood in the kitchen, glancing over at you with a mix of concern and frustration. You had been giving him the silent treatment for what felt like hours now, ever since he had unintentionally dismissed your feelings earlier that day.
He had already apologized countless times, tried to make it up to you with small gestures, but nothing seemed to thaw the icy atmosphere you had built around yourself.
Sighing inwardly, Gojo decided to try a different approach. He put the cereal box you loved on the highest shelf in the pantry. With a mischievous grin, he tightened all the lids on the jars neatly lined up on the counter before placing the cereal back where it belonged—just out of your easy reach.
You noticed his antics immediately but refused to let him see you react. Folding your arms, you stood in the doorway, watching as he continued to nonchalantly go about his business. When Gojo finally left the kitchen, you eyed the cereal box and the unopened jars with growing irritation. You were determined to prove a point and not give in to his attempts to win you over so easily.
After a few minutes of silent deliberation, you fetched a chair from the dining room and positioned it under the pantry shelves. Climbing up carefully, you reached for the cereal box. Just as you grasped it triumphantly, you heard a quiet chuckle from behind you.
"Having trouble?" Gojo's voice teased gently, though you could detect a hint of genuine concern underneath.
"I've got it," you replied tersely, not bothering to look at him.
But as you turned to climb down, you realized the jars he had tightened were now proving to be a challenge. With a frustrated huff, you tried to open one, only to find it stubbornly sealed shut.
"Need some help?" Gojo's voice was closer now, his tone more sincere than before, as if he wasn't the one tightening the jars not too long ago.
You hesitated for a moment, torn between your resolve to stay mad and the practicality of needing assistance. Swallowing your pride, you sighed heavily. "Fine, but just this once."
Gojo's smile widened as he stepped closer, effortlessly loosening the jar lid with a quick twist. "There you go," he said, handing it back to you.
"Thanks," you muttered begrudgingly, feeling a small crack forming in your resolve.
He didn't push further, simply leaning against the counter as you continued to work through the jars. Eventually, the tension began to ease as you both fell into a rhythm of silent cooperation.
The lingering annoyance faded as you appreciated the familiar comfort of being together, even in the midst of a disagreement.
Once the jars were all opened and neatly arranged, Gojo turned to you, his expression softening. "I'm sorry again," he said sincerely, meeting your eyes.
You sighed, finally relenting. "I know you are," you replied softly, unable to stay upset any longer. "Just... try to listen more next time, okay?"
He nodded solemnly, stepping closer to wrap his arms around you in a gentle embrace. "I promise," he murmured against your hair, his voice sincere.

tiffany and co. — park sunghoon.

HAPPY HOON DAY! after seeing jakehoon's matching tiffany rings and their cute vlog at the tiffany store, i couldn't help but think... what if sunghoon was shopping for not only friendship rings with jake but also something special for you.
genre: fluff! established relationship. idol!sunghoon. ft. jake! long oneshot.
word count: 1.4k (english)
warnings: kissing.
everyone knew sunghoon was erratically indecisive. he would pick things up and put them back only to talk himself into linking it again and picking it up once more. it drove his members wild, so wild that jay had complained about not wanting to shop with your boyfriend anymore, simply because he took far too long to make a choice. that was where you came in, you never considered yourself to be extremely decisive nor have you ever been as indecisive as he was... but, something about you giving your honest opinion on things made him choose which items to take home way more efficiently. sunghoon would never admit it, but of he liked something and you thought it was lame, he automatically would talk himself into thinking it was lame in first place. making him set the item back on what ever rack or shelf he had originally found it on. so, when going shopping— in his mind— you were an essential factor.
however, on this shopping trip... you weren't able to join, leaving both him and jake alone in a store full of an expensive amount of jewelry. on his way in, he automatically thought about getting you something with his new tiffany brand deal. what kind of boyfriend would he be if he didn't get you everything you wanted within the resources he was given? he couldn't live with himself if he had gotten himself something nice and left you in the dust. so as soon as they entered the store he began looking at earrings. maybe it could have been something you would wear on special occasions like dates or fancy dinners with family... or holidays. he searched for something different, unique, and so delicately beautiful... all words that he often used to describe you and yet nothing bc stuck out to him.
after an hour and a half in the store, sunghoon began to get nervous. both him and jake had picked their friendship rings and now your boyfriend had been mindlessly browsing though the store to find something you'd actually enjoy. any other guy would have just grabbed the first pair of earrings or sparkly bracelet he came across but sunghoon just couldn't being himself to do that. especially with how practical he was. he wasn't going to get you something that would sit in your jewelry box and soon become forgotten because you didn't like it. that would be a waste. so despite his friend's impatience, he continued to look at each and every single piece of jewelry to find you something specifically for you.
luckily, after an additional 35 minutes, he found just what he was looking for. a necklace with a cursive letter 's'pendant. small, yet noticeable enough. after picking it out, he showed it to jake. to which the aussie boy couldn't help but excitedly pat his friend on the back and rave about how you'd love it. now all your boyfriend needed to do was give it to you.
..
after getting home to your shared apartment with a small blue tiffany and co bag in his hand, sunghoon looked for you. "babe?" he called out, as he took off his jacket and set it on the coatrack. "i'll be right there hoon!" you called out from the bathroom. some how your internal clocks always seem to sync. just as you finished your shower as he come through the door as if you had been expecting his arrival. "how was it?" you called out from the other room while getting dressed.
sunghoon loved this, how domestic it felt to know you had been winding down for the day when he got home. and talking to each other from different ends of the apartment as you both went on with your own routines. "it was really nice actually, jake and i got matching rings." he hummed as he walked into your shared bedroom and to the bathroom door which was slightly open. sticking his hand into the now humid room, he happily showed you his new rings. taking his hand, you looked at the new silver pieces of jewelry now adorning his hand happily and opened the bathroom door far enough for you to get through. "they're cute hoon, i like them a lot." you smiled warmly at him. you honestly didn't expect much, you knew some brands were extremely strict about what their ambassadors could and couldn't take and you would hate for your boyfriend to lose his ambassadorship for pushing boundaries. you were happy for him none the less, you knew that if it wasn't for the sponsorship, sunghoon would have never gone out to get himself jewelry like that.
" i got you something." he chuckled, feeling his cheeks heat up in the moment. he was never good at this type of stuff. he usually preferred to leave a gift on your bed or dining table while he was out working. however with this he was so excited to give it to you, that he had to present it to you now. "babe! you didn't have to get me anything." you pouted at him, while gently pushing past him to set your worn clothes in the hamper and hang your towel up. you truly never wanted him to put you over himself even with things like this. "you could have gotten yourself another piece or something , you didn't have to." you added.
sunghoon gently shook his head as he turned to face you again. "no, i wanted to. i spend a really long time looking for it. i want you to have it." he reassured you. something he had to do each time you had told him he didn't have to get you anything. "if it's not your style you can tell me we can exchange it for another." which was again something he would always say when ever he got you anything. the clarification was always for nothing because everything he had ever gotten you had always ended up liking and yet deep within him was a little feeling of anxiousness.
handing you the small bag in the famous shade of blue you had seen everywhere you couldn't help but get excited. "hoon this will probably be the most expensive thing i own..." you chuckled softly before sitting on your shared bed and gently pulling the tissue paper out of the bag carefully. "that just means i need to get you prada next." he smiled softly, taking a seat next to you, only making you blush more at the thought of being spoiled with all these fancy name brand things. "come on- open it babe." he added, encouraging you to reach into the bag to pull out a small bright blue box. as if it would break, you handled the box with care, gently pulling the top off to expose the dainty silver necklace with the small 's' pendant he had picked out, laying on top of the white satin lining. you let out a small gasp as you took in the beauty of the necklace. it was simple yet, beautiful. definitely something you could wear daily without fail.
"it's beautiful hoon..." you said softly with a smile plastered onto your face. "really? i thought getting you my initial might be a little tacky but jake insisted it was sweet." he responded, his lips breaking into a brighter toothy smile at your response. you could only shake your head slightly, you didn't think it was tacky at all. from a far it was hard to tell the pendant was his first initial, making it a bit more special. you knew what it was, he knew what it was. and it wasn't annoyingly in your face either, it was perfect. "it's actually really pretty." you smiled at him before pressing a soft kiss onto his cheek. being with sunghoon for so long, you should have known that one sweet cheek kiss would have turned into sunghoon turning his head to catch your lips with his own, because it did. just like each time you had kissed his cheek before. a giggle escaped your lips between each soft, sweet kiss he gave you making him rumble up a chuckle of his own as well. "you better wear that necklace everywhere." he said while finally pulling away.
"are you kidding? i'm never taking it off!"
"mmmm good~ all mine."
"yep- all yours sunghoon~"

What do they give you for Christmas?

Featuring: Emma Woods, Orpheus DeRoss, Victor Grantz, Vera Nair, Anne Lester, Frederick Kreiburg (Identity V)
Contains: Holiday gift giving, fluff, seperate romantic headcanons, gender neutral reader
Ento note: Happy Holidays! And good day to you if you don’t celebrate 🙂↕️ I don’t even remember what I spent all my spyglasses on, but now I can’t afford Melly’s christmas B tier… sighs. Next year she will be be mine, trust 🙏
Emma Woods “Gardener”
Emma has to think outside the box this time. She always gives you the prettiest flowers and all of the best, most succulent fruits and vegetables from her garden… Plus, it’s wintertime.
So she reverts back to her old roots of handiwork… Knitting! She spends a while working on a huuuuge knitted sweater of your favourite color(s), each woollen row a sign of her unwavering commitment to making the coziest sweater.
When she finally gifts it to you, it’s really warm and comfy, perfect for the holiday season. She even made herself a matching green one!
Orpheus DeEss “Novelist”
If you share a similar interest, such as reading, he’d give you books of your favourite genres and authors.
Actually—he’d probably write something just for you, a story he knows you’d enjoy, one that gets you more intrigued with each turn of the page. Maybe even some poems for just you.
He’d also get you a locket necklace or a watch, a piece of pretty jewellery for you to wear. You can put whatever you want in it. Will you keep him close to you?
Victor Grantz “Postman”
He’s a sweetheart, that’s for sure. He shows up at your door with a smile on his face, a bouquet full of poinsettias and red roses held out for you to take. Of course, Wick is with him too, her tail wagging as she barked excitedly behind him.
Victor is a good listener, so he always takes mental notes on things you like or things you might need. He gifts you various things, including supplies for any hobbies you partake in.
He also gifts you a new notebook that you can keep, so you can keep his written words and conversations with you!
Vera Nair “Perfumer”
Vera makes you two special perfumes. One is a pretty bottle full of scents that remind her of you, and she’s an expert at assigning people their recommended fragrances, scents that fit them. In this case, it’s a scent that’s so… you!
The other is a bottle of euphoria, but she only recommends it for when you need to ease your mind.
She also gifts you things you’d find in a gift set, full of luxurious bath and skin products. You’re dear to her, you deserve the best, after all.
Anne Lester “Toy Merchant”
Although her specialty is wooden toys, she has another thing in mind for you. When December comes, she spends a lot of time in her workshop, crafting the perfect gift for you.
Matching dolls! That’s right; she makes two little dolls, one that’s you and one that’s her. With the paid help of a certain prospector, the little hands are magnetized, so whenever they’re close, they connect!
Now with these “mini-yous” in the picture, sometimes you both switch dolls. You take mini-Anne wherever you go, and mini-you sits happily on Anne’s shelf with other stuffed animals and toys.
Frederick Kreiburg “Composer”
Of course, only something special and meaningful would suffice for his muse. At first, he thought of composing another beautiful piece for you on the piano… But let’s just say he’d never be done in time with how many times he’d restart, throwing crumpled papers to the floor.
But a bright idea flickers in his mind, and he believes it to be possible. So when Christmas Day comes, he charmingly hands you your nicely wrapped gift.
It’s a music box. When you twist the hand crank, a familiar tune comes in little bell-like notes. It’s one of the first composed pieces he’d ever written for you! Not only can you listen to the nostalgic melody whenever you want, you can also store your pretty jewellery and accessories in the velvet music box.

Hi Amy! May I ask for *purposely suggesting a horror movie (even though they know they themselves hate horror movies) just so they have an excuse to cuddle up for the night* with my boy Reiner pretty please 🥺
hallo-sleepover '24! / accepting.
loveliest thea, you know i'll try reiner for you 💞 thank you for sending this in!! i had so much fun writing it.
wanna watch a scary movie?
pairing: reiner braun x reader word count: 870 tags: modern au, adult language, new relationships, friends to lovers, fluff, reiner is a big ol' scaredy cat, and you're not much better, horror movie elements credit: dividers by @saradika-graphics
“Are you sure?”
“Babe, I picked the last two times.”
Taking both of your takeout boxes off of the coffee table, Reiner gives you a look before pressing a doting kiss to your forehead.
“Like I said, I’m down for whatever you want.”
Of course he is.
Technically he isn’t, though, because there’s been a title on your mind for weeks now that Reiner Braun has dipped and dodged like a professional tag player.
Narrowing your gaze playfully to him as he passes, you listen to him open the fridge to set your leftovers on the shelf. It sounds like he’s already filling a cup of water for you, too, which only makes you feel a little guilty for what you’re about to say.
“There’s that new horror movie that came out a few months ago,” you project to him. "It's finally available on streaming."
Reiner pauses for a beat.
Whether it’s intentional or he’s busy is a mystery.
“Horror, huh?”
“Would you be up to it?” You shift on the couch. “We can keep the lights on.”
“Not much of a horror movie if we’re keeping the lights on, don’t you think?”
He returns with a glass for you, arm extended. By the looks of it, he’s either got the greatest poker face in the world or he’s not much bothered by your request.
Maybe he isn’t as averse to horror as you initially thought.
Maybe he wasn’t in the mood at the time of you excitedly mentioning the movie.
Then again, it isn’t like you’re much of a horror fan yourself. In fact, you actually detest it. A scaredy cat through and through; you’ve wanted to break into the genre, dipping a pinky toe into the waters of a universe you typically avoid like the plague.
One creepy kid in a corner and a ghostly slamming door are all it takes for you to press the nope button.
Yet somehow the concept of watching scary things with Reiner makes them less apprehensive to you. Perhaps it’s the Braun charm.
You graciously take the glass from his hand as he sinks back down at your side on the couch.
By now it’s second nature: he raises his arm, and you easily fall into place by his side.
It’s easy, this new relationship with Reiner Braun.
He may have been your friend all through high school, even past college, but sometimes beautiful things need time to properly bloom.
Reiner picks up the remote to flick through the options, typing in the title until the thumbnail appears. His thumb hovers over the select button, as if giving you both one last out before the film begins.
You stare up at the blonde, expectant. “The lights are still on.”
Another pause passes.
“Yeah, I know.”
“Are you gonna get up?”
“You’re closer.”
Pause.
You both stare, waiting. Then—
“...I’m too comfy,” you decide.
“Yeah.”
“It’s all the way on the other side of the room.”
“Uh-huh.”
“We’ll forgo the ambiance.”
“Absolutely.”
Click.
The screen fades to black, loading up the movie.
Your long, fortifying inhale is mirrored by your boyfriend. You see the large expanse of his chest rise under his white t-shirt, his eyes downcast as the credits start.
Granted, you aren’t watching the screen either — you’re watching him — but the suspicion begins to settle in your gut. Even when the studio logos appear, he doesn’t look up.
When the film jolts bright red with a jarring, high-pitched synth to kick off the soundtrack, Reiner jumps sky high. His jumping makes you jump, causing the blanket at your lap to slip to the floor.
It’s barely even started.
“Rei?”
Clearing his throat, Reiner shifts on the couch once more and looks down at you. “Mm?”
“You good?”
He nods, playing with the fabric of your shirt. New focus. “Yeah, why?”
“No reason,” you lie, before slipping your attention to the screen.
Bad idea.
Because there’s a ghastly-looking figure looming in the dark corner of a child’s bedroom, its smile wide and jagged. The sheer opening shot of the film causes you to gasp in horror, your veins icing over in panic.
“Holy shit—”
Instinctively Reiner’s arm cinches you to his side like he’s protecting you from some invisible enemy, eyes squeezing shut.
“Nope. No.”
His hand fumbles blindly for the remote, not only pausing it — but making sure to click out of the movie so neither of you have to see the creepy ghoul.
“Fuck that.”
“Sorry!” you squeak, putting your face in your hands like somehow it’ll bleach the image from your mind. “Sorry, I didn’t know it was going to start like that—”
“Who came up with starting a movie like that?” he interrupts, seemingly as breathless as you.
“I don’t know!”
“That’s damn mean.”
“I know!”
“New plan,” he decides with more gusto, already changing to the genre menu to find a comedy. “What’s your number two pick? And don’t say something from horror.”
“I’m not! I’m not,” you promise, before pointing to a movie you’ve both seen before. “That one. For the love of god, just put that one on.”
“Oh, thank fucking God.”
Yeah — that’ll be the last time either of you attempt to brave a scary movie.
