(This might seem more like an hc but I'll label as a prompt cuz I feel anyone is invited to try).
(Warning: Possibly ooc)
Cross Guild Love Prompt:
Buggy has an impressive collection of red lip tint products. And considering that commercial makeup is relatively new, there's a lot of things to choose for someone as flashy as Buggy.
From satin, to matte, to shimmer, to glossy. From every possible shade of red to some edding onto black. Some Buggy would collect solely for the capsule they've been sealed in. (One was a compact, and another opens like a switchblade).
Some more favorable than others, but his favorite one always leaves traces and marks everywhere. On glass rims, to napkins, his own gloves, hell even the his pens if he's found nibbling on the tips.
At first, it annoyed Crocodile and Mihawk to hell and back, constantly spotting these stains and by how often Buggy had to re-apply it. But along the path of their growth together, they sometimes would catch the shape of the mark, notice how the bottom lip always looked wider than the top lip. Or catch how gently Buggy applied his lipstick, slow and methodical, almost akin to a ritual. And how he looked at peace when satisfied with the results. (They won't admit how pretty the clown looks in these moments).
Then, one day, in the middle of a meeting, Mihawk saw Buggy put down his glass after a drink, only to find no mark! He immediately points it out, Crocodile asks why the change, and Buggy sheepishly answers that his favorite tube is on its last legs, so he's saving it for special occasions. In the meanwhile, it's just matte from then on. (Buggy's curious as to how the fuck they notice that but he'd rather not know).
But this does not bode well with Crocodile nor Mihawk, not only cuz they find themselves miffed at the change instead of feeling relief, but rather unsettled by the use of the term "special occasions".
Time passes, they grow closer and fonder by their own means, and cue said special occasion arrives, their first date together.
They dress in their best, and they see Buggy (aside from wearing something absolutely smashing [Buggy, the Fran Fine of One Piece, my beloved]), he's got his lips painted as always but the large red smile is missing. It's just his natural lip line this time. Crocodile took note how Buggy's smile reached the eyes. He didn't want to admit the flips in his chest... at least not yet.
Their private dinner was a hit, dessert was decadent, and the three were immersed in conversation. But alas, they had to end it there, Cross Guild still had work in the morning, and Buggy needed to finalize an acrobatic routine for an upcoming show.
Mihawk was going to offer to walk Buggy back to his tent, he was cut-off by a pair of lips. "I can walk just fine by myself.~" Buggy answered cheekily before giving Crocodile a kiss as well.
Buggy got up and just before he left the room, "by the way," he look back and sends them a cheeky grin, "red is nice color on you two." A wink and he was out of there.
The two warlords were a bit confused on that statement but as soon as they looked at eachother, they knew.
Each man had a red mark on their lips like a stamp.... and they loved it.
(Im not really good at creating conflict on my own, but I hope you enjoyed it 💖)
Love that Buggy’s hording makeup, the clown probably cleans out the used makeup product containers that he’s interested by what they look like and at least one of each container of his most favorite makeup to keep. Got a small treasure box or two filled with them because he likes trying different types of makeup. Holy stars I can see Buggy just shaking his hand with that lipstick that opens like a switchblade with a happiest and goofiest grin as it flips open, looking like he’s ready to stab someone with it before he carefully puts it on.
Not Mihawk and Crocodile asking (or probably demanding actually) about the reason why Buggy doesn't have his normal lipstick on. That’s gonna be one hell of a awkward conversation because why do you say to that? Buggy being like, “Oh.. yeah, my favorite tub from Chroma Charm is on it’s last legs, hopefully the package of the lipstick is coming soon… Wait how do you know?!.. Wait again, nevermind, pay no heed of my questions.” Poor Buggy he has no idea why Crocodile and Mihawk are miffed, only that it might have to do with him, but he has no idea why.
Love the date scene! All of them are sad it had to end so soon, if there wasn’t much work to do, then I’m sure that first date would of ended a lot later. Also Buggy was smooth with that!
I enjoyed this a lot, sorry it took so long to response

The Stand-In Part 1 (Chris - G)
A/N - This one will have several parts (unsure how many) Tumblr will get it first to see if I wanna post it on Wattpad or not. Part 1 is the set up so it's rated G with angst if you squint real hard and tilt your head to the left.
Summary for what's coming:
The boys are back in Boston. They planned the trip to occur for their best friend's birthday. While the boys were in LA, Nate had time to make a new special friend. How will Nate's new special friend fit in with their group's dynamic? How will each boy react when they finally meet her?
"I can't wait to be home." Chris groaned. LA was home but nothing compared to Boston for all of the triplets.
"I'm just glad we were able to work our schedule around for Nate's birthday." Matt tucked his carry-on bag in the overhead compartment.
"His party is going to be so worth it." Nate was a brother to all of them; so missing his birthday wasn't an option. He also had the knack for throwing elaborate parties that no one wanted to miss out on. All three boys settled into their seats for their long flight. Luckily this one didn't have any extra stops.
"Did you see his new girlfriend?" Matt asked pulling out his phone.
"What? No." Chris felt the giddy sensation of gossip in his stomach. Chris and Nick leaned to see Matt's phone screen. He pulled up Instagram and searched for Nathandoe8. He clicked the first photo that had a female in it. She was sitting cross-legged and Nate was crouched down from behind her. They were flipping off the camera like thugs. She had long rich brown hair with a curl that couldn't be replicated by heated appliances, her makeup was dark along with her clothes. She looked the complete opposite of his type.
"She is hot as fuck." Nick let slip out. Gay or not he could exclaim a pretty girl when he saw one.
"He definitely is dating up on this one." Matt laughed. They all shook their heads in agreement. The rest of the flight was silent. Chris fell asleep and Matt was playing Clash of Clans on his phone while Nick edited a few video clips. "Chris. Chris." Matt shook his brother softly.
"We landed." Nick reached over and violently shook his younger sibling.
"Okay." Chris groaned from a stretch. They all grabbed their personal belongings and shuffled off the plane in line with everyone else.
"Boys!" They looked around until they found their mother waving her arm in the air.
"Mom!" Chris being the baby of the family ran up to hug his mom first.
"How was your flight?" Their father asked grabbing Nick around the shoulder and pulling him into a side hug.
"It was good," Matt answered since he wasn't being strangled.
"Let's get you boys home." Their mother had a wide smile on her face. She always cherished when they would come home, even if it was only for a few days at a time. To her, it was priceless. They all piled like clowns into a minivan and started the drive home. The boys were always relieved the drive was only 15 minutes from their house. Within that time, they were all racing to their rooms.
"Slow down." Their mom chuckled secretly missing her mischievous boys. The boys all felt a sense of relief being back home where everything started for them.
"So his party is in two days but tomorrow he wants us to meet him at the mall," Matt informed the group.
"I could use a shopping spree." Chris flopped back on their couch in the hang-out room.
"Dinner is ready." Chris stood up and sighed wishing he could just sit a few minutes longer in peace.
"He told me he has a friend he wants us to meet." Matt wiggled his eyebrows in a joking manner.
"Ohh. Wonder who that could be." Nick made a joke to add to the situation. They all grabbed a plate of various foods they enjoyed and sat scattered around the living room. Their mom did this every time; and made all their favorite foods, it was something they grew to not only expect but crave on the plane ride. The TV was playing some oldies game show for their father.
"When is Nathan's party?" Their dad started some conversation.
"It's Saturday but tomorrow we are meeting him at the mall. Saturday morning we'll have to leave early to drive to the beach house." Nate's parents owned a house near Crane Beach. They usually rented it out as an Airbnb but Nate was allowed to use it whenever it wasn't being rented. They always had little parties and events there. All of their parents knew they were responsible kids and let them have their own parties with permission and a few rules. All through high school it helped boost Nate's popularity.
"Oh, how lovely." Marylou smiled. She knew the area was safe and her boys couldn't get into any trouble out there.
"Are you staying the night up there?" He continued to interrogate.
"I think so. Nate didn't invite a lot of people." Matt filled in their parents. Dinner continued with stories about their recent adventures in LA, a ton of laughs, and multiple plates of food. The evening was finishing up with the boys all lying in their beds. Matt was planning his day in his head for tomorrow. Nick was sound asleep already. Chris was on his best friend's profile trying to catch up on what he missed out on. He had texted and called Nathan almost every day while he was in LA and not once did he mention having a girlfriend. It bothered Chris that he couldn't figure out why his best friend in the whole world would keep this 'AnnabellahLuv13' a secret. He clicked her name and watched the loading bar run across the top of the screen.
"Fuck." He mumbled seeing her account was private. He didn't want to add her because it felt awkward. He kept looking at her through Nate's profile. She and Nate definitely complimented each other in a way that seemed familiar. But Chris couldn't quite place it. He started to feel an uncomfortable pit in his stomach and decided to turn his phone off and get some sleep before his busy weekend with his best friend.

Buggy the Clown x Fem!Reader Enchanted meeting (Part 5)
This could go one of two ways. "We could flip the coin I'll be your slave."
Buckle your asses down. I know all the buggy fic writers have been busy and there isn’t much to work with in terms of material from the show rn.
But that isn’t gonna stop me!
Reader becomes a very naughty girl in this next scene.
Part 4: Here
-----------------Chapter 5: Unexpected dinner guests-------------------
The early morning air was thick with tension ( and sweat, ew.) as the crew gathered around the dimming fireplace, the warmth of the flames offering a fleeting sense of comfort amidst the looming threat of Buggy and his crew.
Conversation was pretty subdued, each of the members lost in their own thoughts as they contemplated the events of the day and the challenges that lay ahead.
Sanji being the doting momma he is, was making everyone a hearty breakfast even though no one really had much of an appetite. Luffy had gathered some plants and fruits from the nearby foliage and Nami was making some plans for repairs with Usopp and a new list of supplies.
Zoro sat in silence, his brow furrowed in concentration as he sharpened his swords with practiced precision. His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and calculations, his senses on high alert for any sign of danger. He glanced over your form a few times before straightening himself out.
Robin, ever the strategist, poured over a map of the island, tracing her finger along its winding paths and hidden trails. Her keen intellect paired with Nami’s was going to be the foundation of getting off this weird island.
Chopper busied himself with tending to the fire, his small hands deftly arranging the logs to keep the flames burning bright. He helped you bring in water for everyone's baths this morning and was checking in on your mental state. The poor baby even offered himself as a cuddle buddy for you sometime in the night. You woke up with your hand absentmindedly rubbing his back not knowing if it was to sooth him or yourself. To remind yourself that you were safe, for now.
Brooks had kept watch and strummed a few light melodies to help the restlessness that ceased you and the others throughout the night. He had retired upstairs for some rest and you were relieved for him, honestly. You knew everyone was trying to be considerate of your feelings.
And you, (Y/n), sat quietly among your friends, mind racing with thoughts of Buggy and the looming confrontation that awaited you. The memory of his sinister grin sent a shiver down your spine, a chill that no amount of warmth from the fire could dispel. Everytime you close your eyes, that was all you saw before jerking awake.
Let’s cut to the chase, you didn’t even know why you found the clown attractive. As the author, I chalk it up to some childhood trauma but to each their own, ya know? Anyway, you couldn’t put your pretty little finger on it. The man literally tried to kill you over accidentally smooching his nose! Wait, speaking of that-
You were barely able to sleep at all these past two nights and it was weighing heavily on you. Thanks to Choppers help you were able to wash all the makeup and sweat off from the evening and had donned a nice pair of gray sweats and a fitted long sleeve black shirt. But, even after all of that, your mind kept replaying the events that led up to now. Especially when you first laid eyes on him.
Those cerulean eyes, blood red grin, and just how good it felt when he held you. The way his eyes traced over you while you were inside his embrace. The sparks that ran through your skin when he trailed his fingers up your arm and found purchase cradling your cheek. His eyes drinking in the sight of you as you became lost in his. How easily he lifted you up to the crowd and even when he carried you over to the center of the ring his hold was gentle yet firm.
You did want to see what else those hands could do.
You closed your eyes and took a deep breath in. ‘Be fucking for real. This psycho wanted to kill me. Over what!? A kiss on the nose? Big deal!’ Big deal indeed. You resisted touching your lips to the memory of how soft his nose actually felt. Not to forget how cute he looked getting all flustered from the simple gesture. Which also led you to wonder if anyone had ever shown him affection like that before? [Maybe Shanks?~] The image of your deep red kiss imprinted into the center of his flashy nose made your heart stir.
Fuck you wanted to see more of his cute reactions. If this is what he did over a little kiss what would he do if you tied him down to your queen bed? Oh, speaking of that-
The cabin offered comfort as you furnished it with the belongings of the ship. The temporary home was beginning to feel permanent and you could tell it was grinding gears on Luffy. Now he had been pretty angry on behalf of the villagers and wanted to return to help them immediately.
The only issue was that the townspeople seemed to actually like ‘Buggy.’ Which was even fucking weirder. Apparently he often “performed” there for free making it one of the safer islands in the far east blue.
You didn’t even know if you could call this ocean part of the east blue. Not many charts or maps of it existed which was causing Robin and Nami mental distress.
Needless to say, Gumby was pretty on edge about the whole thing.
"We need a plan," you said finally, breaking the silence that had settled over the group. "We can't just sit here and wait for Buggy to come to us."
Zoro nodded in agreement, his gaze focused and determined. "Agreed. We need to be proactive if we're going to stand a chance against him."
Robin glanced up from the map, her expression thoughtful. "I suggest we fortify our defenses and set up traps along the perimeter of the cabin. That way, we'll be ready for any surprises he might throw our way."
Chopper nodded eagerly, his eyes shining with excitement. "And I can brew up some potions to help boost our strength and stamina! We'll need all the help we can get if we're going to take on Buggy and his crew."
Sanji agreed to help Usopp with repairs after you asked him nicely with Nami threatening him behind your back. Brooks was left alone out of respect for the more senior member of the group.
After breakfast, the crew fell into a flurry of activity, each member contributing their skills and expertise to the preparations. Zoro and Sanji set to work reinforcing the walls of the cabin, while Usopp and Nami fashioned crude but effective traps from the surrounding foliage.
Meanwhile, you and Robin scoured the area for potential supplies after setting your traps, reaching out to passing authorities and sailors for assistance in dealing with Buggy. The response was mixed, with some offering their emotional support while others turned a blind eye to your plight.
But despite the challenges and setbacks, the crew remained determined as they faced the looming threat of Buggy and his crew. As the sun began to rise over the horizon, casting a golden afternoon glow over the island, the stage was set for a showdown unlike any other, and the crew of the Straw Hat Pirates were determined to emerge victorious.
As the preparations continued, you felt a responsibility to express your thanks. "Alright, listen up, everyone," you declared, your voice ringing out with authority as you addressed the crew. "We're not going to let some two-bit clown pirate intimidate us. We've faced far worse than Buggy and his crew, and we've always come out on top."
Your words were met with cheers and nods of agreement from your companions, their determination mirrored in their eyes.
"Now let's show them what we're made of," Luffy continued, a mischievous glint in his eye. "And remember, no matter what happens out there, we've got each other's backs. That's what makes us the greatest crew on the Grand Line!"
With renewed determination, the crew set to work with renewed vigor, their spirits lifted by the inspiring words and unwavering confidence. You slipped on some sneakers and grabbed your bag of farming tools. Today was going to be productive come rain or murderous blue haired, seafoam green eyes, well built, six foot tall clowns with sickeningly sexy smiles.
‘Damn, you thirsty bitch, priorities!!’
The sun continued to warm your cold bones, you couldn't help but feel a sense of calm swell within you. This wasn’t sooo bad. And with that thought in mind, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead with courage, cunning, and a healthy dose of sarcasm.
Usopp and Sanji ventured down to the river to scavenge for materials to repair the damaged ship, while Zoro, true to form, managed to get himself lost in the dense undergrowth once again.
"Where's that mossy bastard gone off to this time?" Sanji grumbled, his brow furrowed in frustration as he scanned the surrounding foliage for any sign of Zoro.
“WHY, did you let him go in the first place!”
Usopp shrugged, his eyes wide with apprehension. "Who knows with him? We'll just have to keep searching until we find him."
Meanwhile, Robin and Chopper had ventured back out into the town to find a library or bookstore, leaving Nami and Luffy to keep an eye on the cabin and its surroundings. But as the hours passed and there was still no sign of Zoro, Nami's patience began to wear thin.
"That idiot better not have gotten himself into trouble," she muttered, her hands clenched into fists as she paced back and forth in front of the cabin.
Luffy, ever the optimist, grinned widely as he watched Nami's pacing with amusement. "Don't worry, Nami! Zoro can handle himself. He's probably just taking a nap somewhere."
But just as Nami was about to launch into a tirade about the moss-headed swordsman's sense of direction, your voice cut through the air.
“You guys don’t need to babysit me. I know you don’t wanna leave me alone and I was scared. But, it would be worse if Zoro was lost for two days again.” Nami nodded and sighed, “We could pick up Robin and Chopper before searching the trees again. He better not have gotten captured.” They left with Luffy giving you a tight hug before disappearing.
You honestly needed that time alone. The ground was soft enough for you to kneel and plant the different seeds as you pleased. You worked in silence mostly though. But you did take a moment to bring a little lunch to Sanji and Usopp which they were very thankful for, especially Sanji. The man practically shot you with the hearts in his eyes.
At some point, you had gone around the side of the cabin while the guys were still mending the sides of the ship. You could hear rustling from behind and you stopped to focus your gaze into the greenery behind you. However, nothing and no one had appeared so you continued with your planting. Which is why you ignored the next rustling sound until you felt a pair of human eyes trained on your back.
“Back again already Moss stone?”
But instead of an enemy, a familiar figure emerged from the foliage, his flamboyant attire and smug grin made your eyes hurt immediately.
He had ditched the captain hat. With a swift motion, he cast aside the iconic captain's hat, letting it tumble to the ground. However, instead of abandoning his pirate flair entirely, he retained the striped bandana wrapped snugly around his head. The vibrant hues of his appearance were unmistakable - vivid red lips contrasting against wisps of cerulean blue hair, framed by piercing emerald eyes. There stood none other than Buggy the Clown.
As you faced off against the notorious pirate, your grip on your shovel tightened, and your eyes narrowed with suspicion. A myriad of questions raced through your mind, each demanding answers that only Buggy himself could provide.
You couldn't shake off the feeling that something dangerous lurked beneath his playful demeanor. Buggy's smile, which usually spread from ear to ear, was peculiarly closed-lipped, and he remained silent for a few moments, studying you with a curious expression.
You could sense the tension in the air, and you knew that this encounter could go either way. What caught you off guard was the deep cherry kiss still outlined on his nose. Finally, he offered a small wave in greeting, which did nothing to put you at ease.
"What do you want, Buggy?" you finally demanded, your voice sharp with contempt.
Buggy raised his hands in a placating gesture, his grin widening as he took a step forward. "Now, now, princess, there's no need for hostility," he said, his voice dripping with false charm. "I've come to talk to your lovely captain. It seems we have some unfinished business to discuss."
You scoffed, gaze cold as you glared at the clown pirate. "I highly doubt Luffy has anything to discuss with you, Buggy. Now leave before things get uglier."
His face darkened for a moment, but Buggy merely chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief as he turned his attention to you, a wicked grin spreading across his face.
"(Y/n), my dear. That’s your name right? Ya know, I’m actually delighted to see you again," he purred, his voice oozing with false sweetness as he sauntered towards you. "I must say, I've been quite curious about you ever since our little encounter at the big top. Tell me, what possessed you to plant such a bold kiss on my nose?"
You raised an eyebrow, a sly smile playing at the corners of your lips as you regarded the clown pirate. "Oh, you know me, Buggy," you teased, your voice dripping with sarcasm. "I couldn't resist the opportunity to plant one on the most infamous nose in the Grand Line."
Buggy chuckled, his grimm grin widening at your boldness. "Ah, I see. Well, you certainly have a way with words, my dear. But I'm afraid I can't let you off the hook that easily. You see, I have a proposition for you."
Before you could respond, Buggy lunged forward, his hand outstretched as he attempted to grab you. But you were too quick for him, sidestepping his clumsy attack and smashing the head of your shovel down on his cranium. The clown almost stood up after the first hit, but you kept on with your tirade until he was on his knees.
"Not so fast, Bozo!" your voice was laced with determination as you summoned your powers. With a flick of your wrist, you sent a wave of energy towards Buggy, enveloping him in a shimmering aura.
Buggy's eyes widened in shock as he felt himself shrinking down to size, his cries of protest drowned out by the sound of the repairs. Within moments, he was so small you would step on him if his outfit wasn’t so flashy. Quickly, you emptied a mason jar from your gardening bag and Buggy found himself trapped inside, his flamboyant attire dirty and his dignity shattered.
You grinned triumphantly as you held the jar up to eye level, your victory complete. "Oh, how the turn tables," you said, your voice filled with satisfaction. "Now it's time for you to listen to what I have to say." You plopped the screaming specimen into your bag carefully. Finally, after almost three days of torment you finally held the object of your nightmares. You decided to add air holes later seeing how the angry little elf was banging on the container furiously.
With Buggy safely contained inside your bag, you turned your attention back to the cabin, eager to fix that clowns attitude. Usopp and Sanji didn’t stop working which meant they hadn't even heard your small fight. Brooks was still asleep, you think. So, you’d have to be quick.
Heart pounding and cheeks flushed with excitement, you hastily drew your bag up to your chest. Buggy's jar made a muffled clicking sound barely registering over the rush of adrenaline coursing through your veins. “I’m going to bed until dinner!” Sanji waved at you and you curtseyed before running inside. With a quick glance around to ensure that no one had witnessed your victory, you darted inside the cabin while giggling like a mad woman.
But as you bounded up the stairs to the second floor, your mind raced with a whirlwind of emotions. The encounter with Buggy had left you feeling both exhilarated and flustered, the memory of his piercing gaze and wicked grin lingering in the back of your mind. I mean, your powers weren’t permanent if you didn’t control your emotions. There was no telling what that tall ass clown would do to your cute little plump ass if he escaped.
You shook your head, trying to clear your thoughts as you reached the top of the stairs. But no matter how hard you tried to focus, the image of Buggy trapped inside the mason jar danced tantalizingly at the edges of your consciousness, sending a shiver of excitement down your spine.
"Hey, (Y/n), what's got you all worked up?" Brooks' voice interrupted your thoughts, his sockets raised in curiosity as he watched you enter the room. He had startled you in the hallway after the staircase in a pink fuzzy bathrobe and matching slippers.
You forced a smile, trying to appear calm and collected despite the turmoil raging inside you. "Oh, nothing much," you replied nonchalantly, though your heart still raced with adrenaline. "Just had a little run-in with some bugs, that's all."
Some tall, dark, sexy bugs.
Brooks' sockets widened in surprise, his expression mirroring the mix of shock and awe that you felt. "Bug, you say?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.
You shrugged modestly. "It was nothing, really," you said, trying to downplay your accomplishment. "Just a stroke of luck, I suppose." You excused yourself to your room and quietly locked the door. And as you stood against your bedroom door, you couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence and determination wash over you.
But deep down, you knew that it was more than just luck. It was your quick thinking and resourcefulness that had allowed you to outmaneuver Buggy. If you weren’t aware of your surroundings you may not be here right now. ‘Sanji and Usopp wouldn’t have even heard me.’ A weight settling in your stomach as the realization sank in. With a heavy heart, you gravitated towards your bed, seeking solace in its familiarity.
You laid on top of your bed for a few moments. Mainly to calm your heart down from pounding out of your chest. Your nerves were shot. Gripping your fingers into the comforter you held tight as though the earth was tipping over and you would fall into the other side if you didn't. ‘I am safe here, I’m safe here, I am safe,’ you whispered into your mattress like a mantra. You slowly turned your head towards your bag before taking the jar out and setting it on your bed.
Buggy looked a little disheveled but otherwise fine. However, the hate in his green orbs was loud and clear. The insults started almost immediately and you wondered how a man so small could still be so loud. You didn’t respond, though. Just staring at him through your long lashes before he quieted down.
Then it was just the two of you gazing at each other in the soft afternoon light.
“Are you done staring yet, princes?” he finally spoke with the left corner of his lips pulled into a smirk. You thunked the glass with your middle finger causing him to go stumbling back into the jar. You’d give Buggy this: The clown knew how to work your last damn nerves.
“What?! Did ya get flustered?~”As Buggy taunted and teased, you couldn't help but fire back with your own brand of sarcasm, refusing to let his words get under your skin. His attempts to rile you up only fueled your determination to give as good as you got, matching his barbs with quick retorts and sassy comebacks.
"Why do you even want me anyway, huh?" Buggy quipped, his voice laced with amusement as he eyed you from inside the jar. "I'm not exactly your typical catch, you know."
You rolled your eyes, resisting the urge to roll to the back of your head and keep them there. "Oh, I don't know," you replied, feigning innocence as you reached for your art supplies. "Maybe I just have a thing for clowns with oversized egos…"
“...and noses.”
Buggy chuckled, though there was a hint of insecurity in his eyes as he glanced down at his nose. "And what's with that nose of yours, anyway?" you continued, unable to resist questioning his apparent insecurity. "Are you compensating for something?"
He bristled at your remark, but before he could respond, you distracted him by pulling out your sketchbook and pencils. "I think I'll capture this moment for posterity," you said, your voice dripping with glee as you began to sketch his likeness.
Buggy watched with a mixture of curiosity and annoyance as you worked, occasionally making lewd comments about your outfit from that night. Each time he did, you shook the jar, a mischievous grin playing on your lips. “STOP THAT SHIT!” You shook the jar again until he was
As the afternoon wore on, you couldn't help but feel a twinge of curiosity about the man trapped inside the jar. What was the deal with him anyway? You poked little holes at the top for him to breathe and dropped bits of bread into the jar all the while trying to engage him in conversation and banter.
Buggy actually looked rather grateful,”Yeah, those shit heads didn’t feed me the last time.” Your eyes widened in surprise at the notion but as he explained you could see why. “Sanji at least gave you an orange and you were being a pretty big jerk.” He shrugged and swung one booted foot over the other. “What kind’ve shithead brings smoke bombs to a fight with a fish man?” His comment made you chuckle and he paused his eating to observe you.
You were sketching him again before holding the jar up to your eyes. “Ya know, I think I have an idea.” And then, feeling a sudden surge of curiosity, you decided to grow him to the size of a doll.
Buggy's eyes widened in surprise as he suddenly found himself bigger but with you towering over him, his usual cold gaze replaced by a sense of vulnerability. But before he could protest, you picked him up, being careful not to squish him. “Can you stop being fucking creepy for ten minutes!”
You ignored his whining and began to poke and tickle his body. Thinking about it, Buggy was about the same size as a water bottle now. You wanted to take his bandana off to see what his hair looked like but you didn’t want to hurt him. “ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME!” Finding consciousness, you paused your touching to look up at him again.
“Mm?”
Buggy rolled his eyes, unpleased by your behavior. “Ya know, you're like, really weird. That’s a lot coming from me.” Feeling vengeful, whisked him away into your closet, revealing a secret dollhouse hidden away in the corner. Upon seeing it, Buggy began to fail and kick as he screamed, “NO (Y/N) DON’T EVEN FUCKING THINK ABOUT IT YOU-”
Let’s just say his protests fell on deaf ears as you placed him inside the dollhouse, a smirk playing on your lips as you closed the door behind him. "Now, now, Buggy," you said, your voice tinged with amusement. "I think it's time for you to learn a lesson in humility."
Buggy was beside himself. “What kinda sick sadistic shit is this!” His pride was wounded by your actions. "Why are you doing this to me?" he demanded, his voice tinged with frustration.
You shrugged, unable to hide the satisfaction in your voice. "Consider it a lesson in empathy," you replied, your tone firm but gentle. "Maybe now you'll think twice before you go around terrorizing innocent people."
Buggy's expression softened, a hint of remorse flickering in his eyes. "Fine," he grumbled, though there was a hint of resignation in his voice. "But if I were my normal size, I'd spank your ass raw for this."
You laughed, shaking your head at his bravado. "Sure you would, Buggy," you said, your voice teasing as you turned to leave the room. "Sure you would."
Just as you were about to sit down, there was a knock on the door. Sanji poked his head in, his eyebrows raised inquisitively. "Supper's ready, (Y/n)," he said, his voice tinged with curiosity as to why you were in the closet. "Are you coming?"
You nodded, a mischievous glint in your eyes as you glanced back at the doll house "I'll be right there," you replied, trying to hide the smirk on your face. As you locked the closet door behind you, you couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of Buggy trapped inside the dollhouse, his indignant protests muffled by the closed door.
Satisfied with your prank, you made your way to the dining area where Sanji had prepared supper for everyone.
As you sat down at the table, you couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation that bubbled inside you. Surely Buggy wouldn't be able to escape the dollhouse, right?
But as supper progressed and the conversation flowed, you couldn't help but feel a sense of unease gnawing at the back of your mind. What if he did manage to get out? What if one of the others saw him?
WHAT IF HE TELLS THEM ABOUT THE DOLLHOUSE!
Just as the thought crossed your mind, Luffy, Nami, Chopper, and Robin returned from their search for Zoro, their faces drawn with worry. Sanji and Usopp, along with Brooks, excused themselves from the table to go look for their missing crewmate, leaving you alone with the others.
As you tried to focus on the dinner conversation, your mind kept drifting back to the closet and the trapped clown inside. You knew you had to go check on him, but you couldn't risk anyone else seeing him. “Hey y’all I’m gonna take a waz, be back!”
Finally, unable to ignore the nagging feeling any longer, you excused yourself from the table and hurried back to your room. But when you opened the closet door, your heart sank as you realized that Buggy was nowhere to be found.
Panic surged through you immediately as a cold sweat looking through the closet into the open space of your room. As you frantically searched from the desk into the bedframe there was no sign of him. You cursed under your breath, realizing that he must have escaped during supper.
With a sinking feeling in your stomach, you knew you had to find him before anyone else did. But where could he have gone? And how were you going to explain his presence if anyone asked?
Desperate to avoid detection, you began to search every nook and cranny of the cabin, your heart pounding with fear and anxiety. But as the minutes ticked by and the search proved fruitless, you couldn't help but feel a sense of dread creeping over you.
What if you couldn't find him in time? And what if someone else did?
As you raced against the clock, your mind raced with thoughts of the consequences if Buggy was discovered. But despite the fear that gripped you, you knew that you had to find him before it was too late.
With a sinking feeling in your chest, you continued to search every corner of the cabin, desperate to find any trace of Buggy. Just as you were about to give up hope, your eyes fell upon a small figure crouched beneath the dining table.
It was Buggy, his eyes wide with fear as he stared up at you.
Just staring at each other
Prolonged eye contact
Without a second thought, you scooped him up in your hands and held him close to your chest, hoping to hide him from view.
Feeling the warmth of your body against him, Buggy squirmed in discomfort, but you held him tightly, determined to keep him hidden. As you settled back into your seat, you couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air. With each passing moment, the tension grew thicker, threatening to suffocate you. But you pushed aside your fears, determined to enjoy the meal and the company of your friends.
However, as the conversation turned to lighter topics, you found it increasingly difficult to concentrate. Buggy's presence weighed heavily on your mind, a constant reminder of the danger that lurked just beneath the surface.
Just as you were about to excuse yourself from the table, you felt a sharp jab against your side. Glancing down, you realized that Buggy was trying to wriggle free from your grasp. With a panicked squeak, you quickly readjusted your grip, dropping him inside your cleavage. You could see his pale face turn redder than his lipstick as he pushed against the soft flesh that caged him.
Bold, aren't we?
"Shh, quiet down," you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper. "We don't want anyone to find you."
Buggy scowled up at you, his expression a mixture of annoyance and indignation. "Let me go, you insolent wench!" he hissed, his voice filled with venom.
You rolled your eyes, unimpressed by his theatrics. "Not a chance," you retorted, your tone in a harsh whisper. "You're staying right here until I figure out what to do with you."
With a huff of annoyance, Buggy crossed his arms over his chest, sulking like a petulant child. But despite his protests, you held him firmly in place, determined to keep him hidden until dinner was over. With Buggy safely tucked away, you could focus on finishing your food without any distractions.
As the meal came to a close, you excused yourself from the table, citing the need to use the bathroom. With Buggy safely tucked away inside your blouse, you hurried back to your room, hoping to have a moment of peace and quiet.
But as you entered the room and closed the door behind you, you looked down inside your blouse to your cleavage and was met with Buggy's furious glare. Scooping him out, you placed the flustered man onto your bed and sat on the opposed end. "How dare you treat me like some toy!" he spat, his voice laced with anger.
You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose in frustration. "Listen, Buggy, I'm sorry for trapping you like that, but I can't risk anyone finding out about you," you explained, your voice tinged with exasperation.
Buggy's scowl deepened, but you could see the fear lurking behind his eyes. "And what if they do find out?" he demanded, his voice trembling with uncertainty.
You hesitated, unsure of how to respond. But before you could come up with an answer, a knock sounded at the door, interrupting your conversation.
"Hey, (Y/n), everything alright in there?" It was Robin’s voice, tinged with concern.
You cursed under your breath, realizing that you didn't have much time to come up with a plan. With a resigned sigh, you turned back to Buggy, a determined glint in your eyes.
"We'll talk about this later," you said firmly, before dropping him back into your bra and rushing to answer the door. But as you did, you couldn't shake the feeling that things were about to get a whole lot more complicated.

Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s three in the morning, and Bakugou can’t sleep.
He’s beyond pissed at himself for staying up this late, but he can’t help it - he’s been in bed since nine and he can’t get you out of his mind. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about you since you stormed out of the apartment. He regrets not chasing after you, he loathes himself for being such a dick and he hates himself for even letting his stupid agency dictate his personal life. He wants to tell you so bad that you’re wrong, that beating Deku doesn’t mean a damn thing to him if it means he has to lose you. He wants to hear your voice so bad it hurts. He knows you’ll be going to Shinsou - you always do when you have a bad fight. He knows you’ll be safe there, but he feels like such a fool. He let you walk out in the rain on your own. What a hero he turned out to be.
Bakugou spends the night alternating between flipping through the endless channels on the living room TV and staring at the ceiling. Every time he closes his eyes he sees your face - anger boiling your blood, disbelief painting your features as he fights with you, tears staining your cheeks. He feels sick to his stomach imagining you walking in the cold as you leave the apartment, sniffling as you make your way out in the rain. He wants to call you to explain himself.
But he doesn’t. His pride won’t let him.
It’s his pride that makes him trudge out to bars with Denki, Mina, and Sero the next day after you leave - he needs alcohol in his system to numb himself from the thought of you. Anyone will do if it warms his bed and makes your face disappear for even a second. God, he never thought he would be so hung up on you. He downs beer after beer, dances with woman after woman. Names and faces blur together as a cacophony of voices plays in his head.
He ends up taking someone home that night - he couldn’t remember her even if he tried. He takes her back to the apartment you shared and pushes her onto the bed you shared. He kisses her collarbone and up her neck, but he’s aiming for your favorite spots instead of hers. The image of you overlaps with her, and he sees your figure beneath him instead of some stranger. Maybe it’s the alcohol, maybe it’s his broken heart playing tricks on him.
He kisses her, imagining it’s your scent he’s breathing in rather than the vanilla and booze she smells of. He pictures your arms wrapping around his neck, your lips on his. She says his name, like honey on her lips, whispers it into his ear. And if he tries hard enough, he can twist her voice in his head to sound like you.
“Katsuki, I love you.” He hears it over and over, sees your smile and hears your laugh. “Katsuki, I love you.”
He makes her leave after that. She’s upset but he is too - an argument ensures and she storms out, leaving behind her underwear in her hurry to leave.
He doesn’t notice. He’s too busy thinking of you.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s been three weeks since your breakup with Bakugou.
The news stations and gossip websites have been flooded with reports of Camie and Katsuki - neither have said anything about their relationship and the speculation of if they are or aren’t a couple is driving everyone wild. Thankfully, the people who were leaving awful comments have long since left you alone, prompting you to turn your Instagram to private and changing your username so they can’t find you easily.
You’ve been avoiding social media like the plague, ignoring all television interviews that involve either Bakugou or Camie - you’ve learned your lesson from the night of the Hero Rankings. But you’re only human after all, and the one time your curiosity got the better of you, you dove into the comments on a tabloid’s website to see what the public was saying.
It doesn’t escape your notice that the comments are much kinder - it ranges from well wishes to remarks about how they wish they could replace Bakugou or Camie in the relationship. No one mentions you, which you are grateful for. You know the media thrives off of drama and rumors, so you’re content to have been forgotten about in this narrative.
Shinsou’s been treating you like normal - another thing you’re grateful for. He is kind without being overbearing, and he gives you distance while also being there for you when you need it. You’ve migrated from sleeping on the couch to crashing in his bed, and more often than not you fall asleep to the smell of his body wash as you lay on his chest.
You wonder what Bakugou would say if he saw you. He knew how close you and Shinsou were and still are, but anyone could think that you and the purple haired man were lovers. Here you are, getting upset at your ex-boyfriend for having a woman over two days after the breakup, when you are falling asleep in the arms of another man - even if he is your best friend. You wonder if that makes you a hypocrite. Your emotions are in chaos, all jumbled and confused. You miss physical intimacy and a part of you wonders if you’re just using Shinsou as a replacement. “It’s better to sift through these feelings when I’m calmer”, you think to yourself, “I’ll come back to it when I’m in a better place.”
Otherwise, you’ve been steadily making your way back to a normal life - work, school, and your personal life all seem to be peaceful and you’re content in a way you hadn’t been for a long time with Bakugou. Of course, the wounds of the breakup are still healing, but you’re doing a lot better from three weeks ago, when you couldn’t even bring yourself to get out of bed. Shinsou has been making sure that you eat properly and that you take care of yourself. Now that you’re out of that post breakup funk, he notices that you’re cheerful and upbeat - a good sign that you’re slowly recovering from your heartbreak.
Today, you’re home alone while Shinsou patrols the city - he’s promised to pick up dinner on his way home so you don’t have to cook. He’s looking forward to tonight - you’ve finished all of your school work for the weekend and you’re off from work until Monday. He’s eager to come home to you, he’s turned down his coworkers invitations to drink so he can spend the weekend with you. He’s picked up food from your favorite Mexican restaurant, and he’s stopped at the grocery store to get your favorite flavor of ice cream - the one that’s almost always sold out.
He arrives home to see you lazing about the house - you’re laying on your back on the couch, holding your pastel Animal Crossing Edition Switch with a bag of chips resting on the table next to you. Your eyebrows are furrowed together as you focus on beating the shit out of a boss in Cuphead - a game you and Shinsou spent hours playing when it came out trying to pass the incredibly difficult levels. You’re wearing Shinsou’s favorite hoodie again - you might as well claim it as your own already you wear it so much - and your fuzzy cat print socks match with a fluffy cat ear headband that keeps your hair out of your face. Your face is recently washed and slightly pink, and he can smell your favorite coconut body wash from where he’s standing. He waits until you lose the stage (let's face it - there’s no way you’re beating that damn clown boss without his help) and he makes his way over to you, leaning over to look down at you as you exhale in annoyance at your loss.
“Hey there, I got dinner. Also nabbed some dessert for you - ready to watch nothing but ghost stories for the rest of the night?” You stretch out your arms and legs, groaning as you move to stand from the couch.
“Only if you promise to sleep next to me until I see sunlight again.” You hate ghost stories - you can handle scary movies about murderers and clowns but you don’t mess with ghosts. The only reason you’re watching tonight is because you know it’s Shinsou’s favorite and he always watches your nature documentaries even though you know deep down he probably doesn’t enjoy them as much as you do. You saunter over to the kitchen, and prop yourself on the counter facing Shinsou as you pull a taco to your mouth. “Ugh, even though the Exorcist was made like 50 years ago it still gives me the creeps. I can’t believe,” you take a moment to drink some water, “that you can watch her crawl backwards down the stairs and not piss your pants.” Shinsou lowly chuckles, giving a teasing smile as he unwraps his burrito.
“It’s ‘cause I’m not a chicken.” You roll your eyes and snort.
“Whatever Mindjack. Not everyone can be as fearless as you.” He smirks as you swing your legs, turning your full attention to the taco you have in front of you. “Hurry up and finish so we can do a facemask before our movie marathon. You didn’t forget about that did you?”
“‘Course not. You wouldn’t let me forget even if I tried, since you’re such a nagger.” You pout, hopping off the counter to wash your hands. Shinsou spends a bit too much time admiring how small you look wearing his hoodie - enveloped in something that belongs to him makes him swell with pride even if it’s wrong of him to think so. He wonders when he started to feel this way towards you, when his love changed from a close friend to an admirer. When he remembers his life, you are always there with him. By his side like a part of his body, always around when important events pass by, always by his side when the going gets tough. It’s not as if he’s always been pining for you - he’s brought other girlfriends around before even if the romance fizzles out before long - but recently he’s noticed you in a different light. Your bedhead and your sleeping face are just as cute to him as when you have your hair done and makeup on. Bringing other men over was never a problem, you’re his best friend and your happiness was always the first priority. But now, he finds himself annoyed at the mere mention of possible partners. You have no shortage of those - you’ve always been able to draw people to you as nerdy as you are - and the green vines of jealousy wrap around his heart every time someone gives you a gift on Valentine’s Day or someone asks you out for a coffee. You usually turn them down since you have so much to focus on, work and school makes you a busy woman after all. But he can’t help but be irritated at the stares you get in public sometimes - as beautiful as you are, you would think that you’d notice the way others look at you. He’s always loved you, but now he feels this once platonic love changing into pure romance, he aches for you like he’s never had before - longing for your touches, your hugs, your feather light kisses on his forehead when he’s having a tough day. The guilt he feels every time he holds you close like he did when you were kids, when you lay your head on his chest and he plays with your hair. To you, it’s still the action of a best friend, but to him it’s something he’d do for a lover. And yet, you’re oblivious, as dense as a rock but he loves that part too. How infuriatingly adorable you are sometimes.
“‘Toooooshi~”, You wave your hand in his face as he comes back to reality. You raise an eyebrow. “Are you okay?”
“Never better.” Your arms cross as you stare at him, suspicious that he’s hiding something from you.
“You ready? I got everything set up.” He nods, and you turn to walk towards his bedroom.
Shinsou’s room is quite neat, a black bed in the corner next to ceiling to floor windows that gives a pretty good view of the city. He scored a good location in spite of his modest salary - he’s in it for the heroism and the good deeds, not the money. He may not make as much as Bakugou, Todoroki, or Deku, but he does alright. His capture weapon and artificial vocal cords mask rest atop his bookshelf, populated with picture books of you and him in your younger days, as well as a Polaroid camera you left with him when he went off to U.A and you stayed in Saitama. Next to the parts of his Hero costume is a picture of you and him on a trip to the beach - one he treasures above all else. In it, he holds you bridal style as you both smile from ear to ear at the camera. You’re practically glowing, wearing a bright yellow bikini set with a see through beach coverup wrapped around your hips, sunglasses resting atop your head. Shinsou recalls how you nagged him to actually swim with you, and you pretty much forced him to wear those green swim shorts - this picture was before he decided to run with you in his arms to the water.
He sees your presence everywhere he looks in his room. After he reassured you that you weren’t a burden, you’ve basically turned his home into your home as well. The bottom half of his bookshelf is claimed as yours - it’s filled with your favorite stories, and your collection of Switch games is stacked next to the shelf neatly. Your laptop rests on his bed (you were no doubt doing homework before you got distracted and started playing Cuphead before he got home) with your Geology textbook open and notebooks filled with notes and highlighted phrases. Your clothes have been hung up in his closet, with your makeup and perfumes taking over three-fourths of his bathroom counter. If anyone else came to visit, they’d think you two were an item.
But alas, you two are not.
You push your schoolwork and computer aside to make room for you and Hitoshi, making your way towards the bathroom to grab a basket of skin care products and face masks. Shinsou knows how much you care about your skin - and by extension his skin - and he watches as you walk from here to there gathering what you need. You turn to him with a huge grin on your face as you hold up a matching cat headband in the color black, something you picked up from the store before you came home last week. He sighs, but turns around anyways to allow you to pull his lavender hair back into a loose ponytail and place the cat headband on his head before turning back to face you.
He looks so silly wearing it, but for you, he’ll do anything. You grab your phone and open the front camera, sticking your tongue out while grabbing Shinsou’s face, squishing his cheeks as he makes an annoyed face at the camera. After taking the photo, you upload it to your now private Instagram and send the picture to Shinsou who does the same. He’s always been a private man, so you don’t worry about the public getting a hold of the photos and trying to make a story out of your life like with Bakugou.
Tossing your phone aside, you motion for Hitoshi to turn towards you, propping yourself up on your knees in front of him as he sits cross legged. You giggle as he looks back at you, reaching to grab a jar of your favorite moisturizer and opening it. The smell is familiar to him - you always smell like it at night when you watch TV while sitting next to him in the living room. You start to apply the product to his face, careful to keep it out of his eyes and mouth. “You need to take better care of your skin ‘Toshi.”
“I know. I’ve been putting sunscreen on like you’ve asked.” He’s not lying, it’s become a part of his routine ever since you suggested it.
“Good. You better be taking the time to eat properly at work too. I know you’re sleeping normally again since I’ve been here, so I won’t lecture you on that.” You glance at his arms, covered in scattered scars from run ins with villains.
Most people look at heroes as an invincible force, unstoppable like All Might. Others may see Mindjack, but you just see Hitoshi Shinsou, your partner in crime.
“Thank you Hitoshi...for everything.” You blurt it out before you can stop yourself.
“I didn’t know this facemask meant so much to you.” You punch him in the shoulder as he laughs.
“‘Toshi, I’m serious. Look at all you’ve done for me. You let me crash here, listen to me complain, make sure I’m okay...without you, I probably would still be lying in bed all depressed.” You wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him into a hug. “I have to say it before I never get the chance to. You may be Mindjack, a hero, but you’re still Hitoshi to me. You do so much for me and you put your life on the line for others every day. I watch you and I’m proud of the boy who proved everyone wrong when they said you had a villain’s quirk. You being here for me after everything with Bakugou and always being there for me growing up makes me realize how much you mean to me. You’re my hero, ‘Toshi. But I need you to stay safe. Look at all your scars...” You pull back from the hug and grab his arms, running your fingers over his scarred skin. You’ve always known Shinsou’s job is dangerous - he’s a hero after all, he saves people. But he’s also your best friend. He’s a selfless man, a kind man.
You love Shinsou. You truly do, he is someone you can never lose. To lose him would be to lose a part of you.
He says nothing in response, so you continue. “Remember that time you fought that villain in the subway? All the news stations said that the tunnel was going to collapse and I just felt like my heart was going to burst. I saw you getting trapped and I felt like…”
You trail off, feeling the familiar sting of tears as you hold them back. Hitoshi gazes at you, lilac eyes boring into your own. “I felt like my whole world was ending. When you came out alright I thought I would faint. I was so scared ‘Toshi… scared you wouldn’t come back. I don’t want to lose you.” Shinsou grabs your cheeks, gently moving his hands so you face him. He wipes a tear from your eye.
“I’ll always come back to you.” You close your eyes, and press your forehead to his.
“You better. I’ll be waiting.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bakugou wants to be anywhere else but here.
He’s at Kirishima’s apartment - he’s been dragged out of his house by Mina and Kaminari for a night of drinking, with Sero and Jirou also coming along for the ride. The blonde would rather be in bed, wallowing in his misery, but his friends won’t let him stay inside. So he pouts in the corner, arms crossed and a permanent scowl painting his features. Kirishima gives him a knowing smile, and mouths “I’m sorry”. Bakugou clicks his tongue and looks away, grabbing his phone in order to distract himself from all the noise.
He would rather die than admit it, but he’s been looking for your Instagram ever since you left. You must’ve unfollowed him or even blocked him - he can’t find a trace of you anywhere. He hates this pathetic side of him, one that makes him seem like a stalker, but he has to know you’re okay. If his pride won’t let him call you, then he needs to know you’re okay.
To his surprise, you pop up on his feed. He immediately inspects the photo of you, and breathes a sigh of relief to see your face. Your tongue is sticking out all playful, beaming as you hold Hitoshi’s face for the photo. You’re wearing that cat headband you always use when washing your face, and he can tell you’re almost ready for bed. He smiles solemnly, vermilion eyes staring at you, so far away.
He notices you’re wearing one of Shinsou’s hoodies and his blood boils at the thought - he knows you are friends but he hates the idea of anyone else having you - although he shouldn’t be one to talk after bringing home that girl from the club. He hates himself for doing it. He stares at your face before standing, saying a curt “I’ll be back” before making his way to the balcony. His friend’s voices fade as he stands outside overlooking the city, and he makes sure the coast is clear before dialing your number.
Fuck his pride. He has to hear your voice.

Farewell to Spooky Season, AHS Style: Lookbook no.12
Hi to anyone reading,
Happy belated Halloween!
I capitalise it because if I'm gonna recognise any day as sacred, it’s the spookiest one of the year! Halloween 2020 obviously hasn’t been as exciting as usual, parties and club nights being banned has meant there’s been far less opportunities to dress up, but I still managed to get out for the night before they announced the upcoming second lockdown and do a couple of spooky movie nights (and carve a pumpkin!)!
I originally intended for this lookbook to be last minute halloween costume inspo but I was lazy and didn’t manage to get it out on time-a lot of these looks minus the makeup and maybe an accessory or two could work on any day or night out so I thought I’d go ahead and post it now anyway. Celebrating the fashion moments of American Horror Story is something I’ve wanted to do for a while; it’s probably not the first show you’d think of for sartorial inspiration but Mr. Ryan Murphy has fucking fantastic taste in stylists and the first five seasons of AHS in particular, which I’ll be focussing on in this post, have given us SO many amazing looks. The man may be guilty of many things-subjecting us to the character of Will Schuester, trying to turn Richard Ramirez into a thirst trap, embarrassing everyone who raved about how good Scream Queens was when he wrote season 2-but costume related laziness is not one of them. We see more consistency in a Ryan Murphy character’s wardrobe than we do in their story arcs and I respect that because honestly, as much as I love joining in when it comes to ripping into his ability to cohesively bring an AHS season to a close when it airs, I’d probably be the same; if you put Lady Gaga in front of me and told me to write her lines I’d probably end up getting overly invested in what her character was going to be wearing in the scene too.
So! Enough Ryan Murphy bashing from me! I’ll get on with it! Starting with 3 season 1 inspired looks:
Murder House: Elizabeth Short, Tate Langdon and Violet Harmon
-striped jumper from caitlinlark on Depop, kick flare jeans from ellagray-
When it comes to reflecting on season 1 of American Horror Story, all I can say do is thank the internet overlords that Tumblr has moved on from the romanticising school shooters and wearing normal people scare me tops phase to instead collectively taking the piss out of the “GO AWAY, TATE!”, “YOU’RE ALL THAT I WANTTT! YOU’RE ALL THAT I HAVEEE!” exchange.
In terms of fashion *moments*, whilst season 1 doesn’t stand out as much as the seasons that come after, Violet and Tate’s wardrobes did give birth to a bit of a 90s grunge renaissance with their oversized knits and faded jeans and layering of textures. It did also give us good costumes in the form of Alexandra Breckenridge’s Moira O’Hara and Mena Suvari’s portrayal of the Black Dahlia, Elizabeth Short; unfortunately, I didn’t have a slutty maid costume lying around so I did the best I could at giving the outfit Elizabeth wears when she makes that fateful visit to the Murder House a modern, more party appropriate update.
In terms of season rankings, Murder House isn’t my favourite. It starts off really great but lulls a bit towards the end and I could never get behind Violet and Tate as a couple because you know, one of them is a school shooter who sexually assaults the other’s mum, and that’s a hurdle that I think most couples might struggle to get over irl. That being said, it was the season that started it all and showcased some of the most innovative writing and directing on TV, and it opened up a spot for horror on primetime television which as far as I know was kind of unheard of before then. Back when I first watched it, I had no idea what to expect not only because I’d never seen horror in a serial format but also because it seemed to be able to get away with the kind of storylines you’d expect network executives to fire people over. It introduced us to Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters and Denis O’Hare who would go on to make the show what it is today and more importantly, through Jessica’s glorious portrayal of Constance Langdon, provide us with an endlessly versatile meme format for this trying time.
Asylum: ‘60s Lana Winters, ‘70s Lana Winters, and Sister Mary Eunice McKee
-afghan coat from louisemarcella on Depop, red AA skater dress from julietramage, pink gingham co-ord from zshamim-
I think we can all agree: Asylum would’ve been a perfect series of television if it wasn’t for the completely unnecessary alien storyline. Like, I get that they fit in with the whole good vs. evil theme as a kind of non-biblical alternative to the idea of a higher, all-powerful being but there was already so much going on that it just wasn’t needed. Aside from that, I think the general consensus amongst watchers of the show is that Asylum has the best writing of any season and I think I’d tend to agree. It’s not my favourite because it’s too depressing to rewatch but if we’re talking the first time round, this is the series that had me hooked. Lana Winters?
Iconic.
Sister Mary Eunice? Iconic. The Name Game? Iconic. Remember when you couldn’t go a day on Facebook without seeing that one photo of Naomi Grossman as Pepper used as the go to “what I really look like” photo in one of those “expectation vs. reality” style posts on your newsfeed? Those were simpler times.
Because this season was mostly situated within the hospital, we didn’t get that many proper outfits but when we did, they were stunning; if I had to state my absolute favourite AHS character of the entire show I’d probably go with Lana Winters and the part her wardrobe played in her characterisation would 100% play a part in that. The late 60s/early 70s was such a wonderful period for fashion and through her character we get to see both of those explored a little. Of course there’s also *that* Sister Mary Eunice scene with the red slip dress and suspenders too which yes, could be a perfect halloween costume, but I also strongly believe should be a perfectly acceptable outfit for any day of the year.
Coven: Misty Day, Madison Montgomery, and Zoe Benson
-chiffon dress from rags_to_riches on Depop, pinstripe corset from hanpiercey, and tennis skirt from mollie_morton-
I hate to be a basic bitch but I have to say it: Coven is my favourite season of American Horror Story. Once you get over the complete waste of Evan Peters’ acting capabilities that resulted from the *choice* to have him play Kyle, the unnecessary rehash of the Evan/Taissa pairing from season 1 in what I can only assume was an attempt to capitalise on the popularity of the questionable Tate/Violet relationship, and the subsequent sacrifice of any interesting character arc we could’ve foreseen for Zoe Benson beyond her obsessing over a resurrected, non-verbal frat boy, it’s a perfect season. A supreme (heh) balance of horror, humour, and character drama, as well as the stunning aesthetics and forever quotable dialogue, make it my go-to season if I’m ever considering a rewatch. And if you disagree, let me jog your memory with the most mainstream (not to get all “normal people scare me” and suggest AHS is not a mainstream show, I literally just mean in the sense that even those who have never watched the show will have seen this) reaction GIF set any FX show has even spawned:
Buzzfeed employees had a field day, Emma Roberts enthusiasts (I mean me) finally saw her cemented as the pop culture icon Scream Queens has since showed us she deserves to be (because not enough people have seen Unfabulous, Nancy Drew or Scream 4) and the gays everywhere rejoiced at the year’s worth of meme fodder they’d been provided with. It was Madison Montgomery’s world and we were truly just living in it.
And the fashion! I mean, Stevie Nicks meets 21st century teenage witches! Come on!
Freakshow: Dandy Mott, Maggie Esmerelda and Elsa Mars
-olive green satin skirt from morganogle on Depop, headscarf from tonijordan, platform sandals from elliefewt, PVC skirt from bethpin_, corset top from sadieflinter, beret from house_of_erotique, flame detail platform boots from mad_rags_vintage-
When people talk about the declining quality of AHS, they usually point to Freakshow as the beginning of the end, but I have to completely disagree. I wasn’t a fan the first time round but on rewatch it’s probably the most emotional season of them all; no, there aren’t as many “horrifying” moments as in other seasons and Elsa is probably Jessica’s worst performance (which is still an incredible one by anybody else’s standards), however it makes up for it with the most sympathetic bunch of characters yet, and on the flip side, also one of the most amusingly depraved with Finn Wittrock’s Dandy Mott. Fans usually argue that the season went downhill once *SPOILER* Twisty the Clown was killed off but for me, he really primarily served as the catalyst for the far more interesting devolution of Dandy, who, imo, is the show’s strongest villain to date, rivalled only by Bloody Face. Then there was the episode Orphans too which made me cry buckets, the sole AHS episode to do so.
We got a lot of great fashion content in this season too: the theatrical opulence of Elsa Mars’ wardrobe, “Maggie”’s nomadic fortune teller costumes, and all those twee suits we saw Finn Wittrock in. Highly underrated if you ask me. It seems an odd choice for me to use Elsa’s Dominatrix look as an inspiration for one of my looks here when we have that Life on Mars performance outfit and all the extravagant robes Jessica got to waltz around in for reference buuuut I didn’t really have anything to do the vibrancy of either of those justice so I went with the black leather option which is much more me. Am I saying I moonlight as a dominatrix? Maybe. Lol, no. I wish. It’s not for lack of trying. WHERE ARE ALL THE GENUINE TWITTER PAYPIGS AT!? Your girl wants to insult creepy men and get some new clothes out of it xoxo
Hotel: Hypodermic Sally, Liz Taylor, and The Countess
-silk white bralet from xlibby_maix on Depop-
Hotel is another season that I liked a lottttt more upon rewatch, once I knew I was okay to tune out the (completely predictable and utterly nonsensical) Ten Commandments Killer storyline that so much of the season initially seems to hinge on. I love Chloë Sevigny but the fact that her and Wes Bentley’s wooden John and Alex Lowe are positioned as the protagonists at the expense of the far more interesting Liz Taylor, James March and Hypodermic Sally really does a disservice to what is an otherwise great season upon initial viewing.
The visuals this season are magnificent and I think if I had to pick one character’s wardrobe to steal from the entire cast of AHS characters, it would be The Countess (a toss up between her and Misty Day tbh, so I kinda just settle for low-key channelling both). No fucking idea where I'd wear any of her clothes to but I’d make it work. Liz Taylor and Hypodermic Sally have some amazing looks too-there’s just honestly so much to choose from; that being said, this post wouldn’t be complete without a specific ode to the vampire goddess Elizabeth Bathory, who is everything I want to be in life minus the murderous qualities:
Everything. EVER-Y-THING. LOOK AT HER!
Lady Gaga is really a fucking goddess isn’t she. And people were claiming before they’d even seen it that she couldn’t act? A patriarchal society doesn’t like women that can do it all. Just saying.
Anyways!
That’s it for now! I hope you enjoyed the post if you did read til the end! Sorry I couldn’t get this out before Halloween, I was typing and Picmonkey-ing madly from 2 in the afternoon on the 31st but I taking fucking forever to get ready and had to abandon all hope of getting it out on the day by 4PM. I’ve got so much content planned and it sucks because a couple of them are lookbooks which now feel completely redundant given we’re heading into a second lockdown, but maybe I should just do it anyway? The grunge inspired moodboard I just did seemed to get a good reception too so I’ve got some more of them planned.
As always, hope everyone is keeping well, and feel free to inbox me with any suggestions, queries or even just to say hi if you need someone to talk to! I check here quite a lot so I should see it. Lots of love to everyone in this time!

Don't Need a Flight to Get to Paradise (Crystal x Gigi) - A-tresia
Gigi methodically slices the tape open and digs inside. Her eyes widen and her face is suddenly hot and red. And even though there’s an obvious look of embarrassment seen on her face, she’s still thankful that the camera is focused on her and not on the contents of the package.
A/N: Some non-AU smut because (don’t deny it!) we want this and we absolutely deserve this. This is probably the filthiest thing I will ever attempt to put into words. Enjoy!
Gigi sets her phone on the table and presses the button to start her Live. She fixes her hair while she waits. “Hey, everyone!” she says still combing her fingers through her freshly curled hair. “It’s been a while since I’ve gone Live and I thought,” she emphasizes the last syllable with a nod, “since I have a little bit of free time that I could go do an unboxing for you guys.” She squints and reads through the comments as she waits for more people to join.
She picks up her phone and flips the camera to pan across the pile in front of her. “Okay, so, I’ve got quite a bit to open. There’s a couple of PR boxes and some merch from my season 12 sisters,” she explains, pointing to the boxes.
Struggling to open boxes with one hand, she decides to prop her phone against the wall and sit in front of it as she goes through the rest of the boxes. She’s already opened two make up PR boxes when she sees a familiar name on one of them, deciding this is what she’s opening next.
“Look, you guys! I have a package from my girlfriend,” she says playing up the Crygi clout. No one has to know the real tea, they can guess all they want.
Gigi holds up the box to the camera to point to the Crystal Methyd sticker plastered on the top. The comments are suddenly wild. “I wonder what’s inside,” she says, shaking the box. It sounds solid but it might just be packaging. “It’s probably new merch. Thanks, Crystal!”
Gigi methodically slices the tape open and digs inside. Her eyes widen and her face is suddenly hot and red. And even though there’s an obvious look of embarrassment seen on her face, she’s still thankful that the camera is focused on her and not on the contents of the package.
Fuck.
Fuuuuuuck.
She smiles slyly at the camera and quickly grabs a new box to open, trying to cover up the internal panic she’s currently experiencing. “Sorry, you guys. It looks like it’s unreleased merch. Let’s wait for Crystal to release it before I share. Okay?”
The comments are even crazier than before. Asking what’s inside the box. And why she’s suddenly so red in the face. She knows her socials will be flooded with this.
Gigi ignores the comments and even though she only planned to be on Live to open maybe two boxes, she proceeds to open three more make up boxes and merch packages from Jan and Nicky. She’s hoping people will forget. But who is she kidding? Stans never forget.
“Thanks for keeping me company for the last, uh,” she looks over at her clock, “for the last hour and a half. I’ll catch you guys again soon!” Gigi winks and ends the Live.
Not even five minutes after she ends the Live, she gets a FaceTime call and Crystal’s fully-painted face floods her screen. “Gigi Goode, why are people tagging me in screenshots of your Live and asking me what I sent you?”
“Don’t act like you don’t know what you sent me,” Gigi glares.
Crystal raises a brow at her. “You don’t like it?”
“I mean, I haven’t gotten the chance to fully look at it yet.” She reaches into the box to pull out the contents — a bottle of lubricant, and… Gigi holds it up to the camera. “You got me a dildo.” Like it isn’t obvious what’s in her hand.
Crystal leans in closer to the camera. “Not just any dildo,” she smirks like she’s so proud of herself. “It’s a clone-a-willy.”
“A what?”
“A clone-a-willy,” Crystal repeats slowly.
Gigi’s eyes widen in realization. She takes a good look at the dildo in her hand. The length. The girth. The slight curve. The vein underneath. They all feel right. And real. But it’s cold and made of silicone and the person it’s supposed to be attached to is 1,600 miles away. She looks back at Crystal. “So you mean this is —”
“Mmhmm, balls included!” She definitely looks like she’s proud of herself, like she did the most groundbreaking thing on earth. “It’s even really close to my skin tone.”
Gigi laughs. “Were there other options?”
“Oh, I definitely thought of making it in an obnoxious glow-in-the-dark hot pink. I could make you one in pink if you want that, I still have the mold.” Crystal snorts as Gigi proceeds to inspect her new toy. “There’s a suction cup so you could use it on any flat surface,” she says this so very seriously you’d think she’s selling the product.
Gigi finds a button at the bottom. “Oh my god, Crystal. It’s a vibrator too?”
“Only the best for Gigi Goode.” They both snort. But clearly, Crystal is more amused. “Also, Geege, unreleased merch? Should we make a profit out of my dick? Am I a genius or am I a genius?”
“Hey, your dick is awesome. But I’m not sharing. I barely get any of it.” Crystal hasn’t stopped laughing since she suggested making multiple models to sell. Gigi thinks back to the last time they saw each other and realizes how long ago it’s been. With all the touring they’ve been doing, there just hasn’t been time to see each other in between. “Long-distance sucks,” she pouts.
“I know, baby,” Crystal sighs. Underneath her full clown makeup, Gigi knows she’s pouting too. “But we’re seeing each other in like two weeks so that’s something to look forward to, right?”
Gigi whines like a child. “But the last time I saw you was six weeks ago!”
“That’s why I cloned my dick for you. So you can fuck yourself with it and I can watch over FaceTime and you don’t have to miss me as much.”
“That does sound hot,” she considers. Gigi cocks her head to the side and bites her lower lip and looks up at Crystal from underneath her lashes. “Can we use it now?”
Crystal wiggles her brows at Gigi. “Do you want to?”
“I do,” she nods. She takes in Crystal’s face that’s taking up her screen and scrunches her nose. “But your mug really isn’t doing it for me.”
“Later, then?”
“For sure,” Gigi winks. “No, but seriously. I appreciate the sentiment. I just miss you.”
“I miss you too.”
“Should I send you a replica of my dick too?”
Crystal perks up at the suggestion, deciding then and there that she’ll send Gigi a kit — in maybe neon purple. “But it’s messy to make. It was like a science experiment!”
“Crystal. Elizabeth. Methyd,” she says, feigning shock. “Did you stick your dingaling in any of the science experiments you did in school?” Gigi can’t stop laughing at the mental image of Crystal sticking her erect penis into a model volcano.
“Shut up! It was hard to stay hard.”
—
Gigi couldn’t get anything else done for the rest of the day with the anticipation of what’s to come. Besides, she’s maintained a semi since they hung up and it didn’t really help with her already short attention span. She considered rubbing one out just for a little relief but decided to wait it out. It’s going to be better this way.
She’s already in bed, still semi-hard and freshly showered, with Crystal’s penis replica and a bottle of lube within arms reach when her phone buzzes in her hand.
Crystal: 2 mins. Get your laptop set up.
She doesn’t even bother to reply. She arranges her laptop, puts on her earphones (which, for a bit, she thinks of forgoing since her roommates are sure to hear her anyway), and positions herself on the bed checking to make sure that Crystal will be able to see everything.
In exactly two minutes, Crystal’s smiling face (void of makeup, thank god) fills her laptop screen. “Hey,” they both say at the same time. Gigi feels herself harden further at the look on Crystal’s face as she stares back at her.
“Geege, you shouldn’t have bothered with clothes. I didn’t!” Crystal moves back against her pillows as she pushes her laptop a little bit further from her to give Gigi the full view of her already hard penis. “Come on, I couldn’t be the only one naked here!”
“Sorry.” Gigi shakes herself out of her stupor at seeing Crystal naked, thumbing around the tip of her dick and quickly pulls her tank top over her head. She grips herself through the fabric of her underwear with a groan.
“Gigi,” Crystal breathes.
She slowly pulls her underwear down her legs, watching Crystals breath hitch. It makes her feel flushed and hot all over. “Happy?”
“Very.” She looks straight into Gigi’s eyes and wraps her hand around her cock, slowly stroking herself for Gigi to watch. “You look so good.” There isn’t a need for long introductions, they both know they’re on this call for one thing.
Gigi’s mouth feels dry. So instead of answering, she starts stroking, matching her pace with Crystal. They stroke in tandem for a while, eyes not leaving each other, before Crystal tells Gigi to get the lube. She watches Gigi squeeze a generous amount onto her fingers. “Ready?”
“Can’t wait,” she says as she shifts to spread her legs wider so Crystal has a better view. “Can’t wait to stretch myself out so I can take your cock.” Gigi fucking hates dirty talk but she just misses Crystal so much she doesn’t even have the energy to cringe at herself; instead, she reaches down to rub her fingers over her hole with warmed up lube.
Crystal stops touching herself. Instead she focuses on Gigi’s movements. She watches Gigi slowly slip a finger in, whimpering quietly at the sensation of a single digit sliding in and out of her.
“Go on,” Crystal urges.
Gigi adds another finger and feels herself stretch and clench around her fingers. “Feels so good,” she breathes out. It’s been three days since she’s masturbated and fucked herself and six weeks since she’s had Crystal’s actual dick. She pulls one knee up for more space and moves her fingers in and out, gradually increasing her pace, going deeper each time. Her other hand wraps around her cock and strokes in time with her fingers.
A third finger slips alongside the first two and Gigi feels fuller. “Crystal,” she moans.
Crystal’s cock jumps at the sound. She’s so painfully hard she firmly wraps her hand around the base of her cock, delaying getting even more worked up until Gigi has her Crystal dildo up in her ass. “You’re doing so well, Geege,” she encourages. “Get yourself nice and stretched.”
Gigi can’t wait to get Crystal’s fake cock inside her. She shudders in anticipation. “C-can — Crys, I need —“ She sounds wrecked. Gigi is easy to work up; so easy to get all wet and open and desperate.
“Fuck, Gigi. You have no idea what you fucking look like.” She watches Gigi’s hips jerk. “Are you ready for my cock, baby?” Gigi couldn’t even form a sentence. Her jaw is slack and she just nods in agreement. “Look at yourself, so slick and open, I could just slide right in.”
“I want you to.”
“Do your fingers feel good?”
“I-I, y-yes, yeah. I like yours better, though.”
Gigi removes her hand from her throbbing cock and pulls her fingers out. She reaches out for her dildo, licks up one side of it and winks at Crystal.
“Torture,” Crystal groans.
“I would much prefer if this were actually you.”
Gigi pulls her laptop closer and rolls over on her stomach, finding a little relief by rubbing herself against her sheets. She tilts her screen down and positions her new toy and herself so Crystal has full view of her mouth.
“You’re gonna want to start touching yourself,” she says before licking the tip of the dildo slowly. Crystal’s mouth hangs open, practically drooling at the sight, and just nods as she tries her best to mimic the movement of Gigi’s mouth and hands with her own hands.
Gigi maintains eye contact with Crystal while she wraps her lips around the toy and starts giving it a very enthusiastic blow job, easing her mouth down and coating it with saliva. She strokes her hand up and down the way she knows Crystal likes as she moves her lips up and down, stopping every so often to lick the shaft and head. At the back of her head, she knows how ridiculous she might look giving a cold silicone toy a blowjob but it feels so much like Crystal she doesn’t even give it another thought.
Crystal is stroking herself with her right hand in a regular fluid motion, matching Gigi’s pace. The fingers on her left hand pinches at her nipple piercing.
“So hot,” Gigi comments.
“Feels good,” Crystal whispers as she watches Gigi take all of it into her mouth, closing her eyes as she relaxes her throat and swallows around it. It’s obscene but Crystal can’t look away. “Fuck, need to be inside you.”
Gigi draws off the dildo with a smirk, pressing a kiss to the tip of the toy. She quickly gets up from the bed, taking the laptop, the bottle of lube, and the very wet toy with her.
“Where are you going?” Crystal asks.
She sets her laptop down. “This will be easier on the floor,” she explains.
Gigi reaches for the dildo and squirts extra lube onto the already saliva-slick surface. She gets on her knees and sticks the suction of the dildo directly on the floor underneath her.
“Wanna ride you,” she says positioning herself. Crystal not able to take her eyes away from Gigi’s hard dick pointing straight at her.
“Yeah, okay.” Crystal leans forward to get a better look at Gigi rising up a little bit on her knees, grabbing the shaft, and slowly lowering herself down on the silicone cock. “This is so hot, fuck.”
She doesn’t realize that she has her eyes closed until she feels the base of the toy pressed up against her and she slightly stumbles forward at the fullness. Gigi moans at the realization that she’s got it all in; so lewd that Crystal thinks Gigi just came right then.
“You okay, babe?”
“Fucking awesome,” Gigi breathes out. “Feels exactly like you. Not that the dildo is as good as the original, but still.“
Crystal laughs and this sets Gigi’s laughter off too. How very fitting for them to be laughing while doing this.
She waits for Gigi to calm down and adjust to the intrusion and only starts to touch herself again when Gigi starts moving.
Gigi begins to rock herself up and down on the shaft, encouraging Crystal to touch herself. She thinks she could come just like this — not touching herself, just fucking herself on the perfect replica of Crystal’s cock. She lets her own dick bounce against her body as she rides the toy in little short motions.
Gigi moans and whimpers as she watches Crystal languidly work a generously lubed hand over herself.
“I feel like I’m watching a porno,” Crystal comments as her hand starts to work faster on her own cock. Gigi tries to laugh but it quickly turns into an obscene moan. “Touch yourself, Gee,” Crystal encourages.
"Oh, fuck! Baby, I love your dick so much.” Gigi grips her own dick and pumps along with Crystal. She sets a steady pace bouncing on the dildo making her thighs burn. But that’s the least of her concerns. The burn just intensifies everything.
"Yeah?”
“Mmhmm,” she answers, biting her lower lip.
Crystal strokes her cock slowly, trying to make the sensation last, but the sight and sounds of Gigi pleasuring herself was just too much.
“G-Gigi,” Crystal stutters, struggling to find words. “I c-can’t —“
“Go on, baby. I want to see you come.” Crystal gasps out a breath and instinctively closes her eyes. “Eyes on me, babe,” Gigi croons, syncing her movement on the toy to Crystal’s hands.
She watches Crystal work herself over the edge, listening to her shaky breaths and pitchy moans. She didn’t know she could feel pleasure just by listening to Crystal moan like this, listening to her cry, and try to hold in her whines.
“Oohhh, fu-fuuuuck me,” Crystal moans. Suddenly her hand is moving so fast, Gigi doesn’t know where to focus her eyes — her face contorting with pleasure, her hand pinching her pierced nipple, her hips jerking upward, or the cum shooting over her spasming abdomen.
“Fuck, that was hot,” Crystal says as she pushes back hair that’s stuck to the sweat on her forehead, still panting. She looks back at Gigi who’s waiting for her to recover, still moving her hands over her still hard and throbbing dick with long strokes. “Your turn.”
Gigi leans back against her calves and bottoms out on the dildo. She wraps her hand firmly around her cock and thrusts up into her fist. “Fuck, it’s really — ah — i-it’s really too much. I’m really so — I can’t —” She’s no longer stroking but thrusting uncontrollably up into her hand. “S-so close,” she moans. “Gonna come. Fuck, I’m gonna —” Gigi cries out, eyes rolling back, as thick ropes of cum splatter all the way up her torso, some reaching all the way up to her chin.
Her orgasm is so intense, there’s a deep sense of calm that spreads throughout her body. She slowly lifts herself from the dildo and collapses on the floor, panting and jerking and not even bothering to clean up. She’ll deal with the sticky mess later.
She opens her eyes to see Crystal staring back at her in a daze. Gigi’s never felt the distance between them as sharply as she does now. All she wants is to hold Crystal and be held.
“Wow,” Crystal whispers. Gigi just nods, still too overwhelmed to speak.
For a moment they just stay there, a moment frozen in time, watching each other and drinking it all in.
“Crystal, I —“
“I know. I feel bad that I’m not there to do anything about it.”
“Two weeks.” Crystal nods in agreement. “I’m sticky,” Gigi points out.
“We should probably both clean up.”
“I’ll call you again in 15, yes?”
“Take your time.” Gigi nods.
They wave and blow kisses at each other before Crystal ends the call with a love you lingering in the air. Gigi sighs, equally satiated and sad. Two weeks.

Love Is Blind: Chapter Nine
Robyn brushed her hair up into a ponytail as she walked out of her closet into her bedroom. Leandra and Melissa sat on the large bed, both dressed in their nightwear as was Robyn.
“I can’t believe y’all really came all this way for some gossip,” Robyn murmured as she sat down on the bed and pulled a pillow between her legs.
“We also came to check on you,” Leandra replied.
“Sure you did. So ask away.”
“How are things going?”
“Good.”
“Are y’all still talking?”
“Yes, me and Chris are still talking.”
“Are you dating?’
“No, we are not dating.”
“Why not?”
“We’re relearning each other besides I’m still not in the mood for anything serious.”
“He’s your ex-husband, there’s already a touch of seriousness in this.”
“Exactly why we’re not dating. We got enough to deal with just by being exes.”
“So what is he like?” Melissa asked, “I can imagine things are a bit different now.”
“Things are very different,” Robyn replied as she grabbed her phone and scrolled to a recent picture they had taken together and handed it to Melissa, “he’s so much calmer and relaxed now.”
“Y’all look so good together but you always have. He’s aged well.”
“He did. Witnessing the change between the Chris I knew and this new Chris is interesting.”
“How is he as a dad?”
“He’s amazing. Anesa absolutely adores him.”
“How is your relationship with Anesa?”
“I’ve only been around her a few times but we get along pretty well. She’s so sweet and funny.”
“So what’s the big problem with dating?”
“I am not ready to date regardless of the man, that’s why I didn’t want to meet my internet friend in the first place. Why does it have to go anywhere because we met?”
“It doesn’t have to but it does make sense.”
“I can see your point.”
“You know I’m surprised you’re not madder at him. All that anger you had couldn’t have just disappeared,” Leandra interjected, “you are so zen right now.”
“Oddly enough all the talking we did before we knew who we were really clarified things for me. Had I known it was Chris I was talking to, things might’ve been a little different but I understand more. I’m not completely over feeling betrayed and he knows that but it’s not as bad as it was.”
“Did you sleep with him?”
“Yes and no.”
“What!”
Robyn laughed, “I told you we slept in the same bed together already but we have not had sex.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Why?”
“You and Chris, the two freaks of the century, actually slept in the same bed together and did not have sex.”
“Yes. Why is that so unbelievable?”
“Because it’s you two.”
Robyn laughed, “It’s also been seven years. You’d think I’d succumb to him that quickly?”
“Considering you haven’t had sex in seven years, hell yea.”
They all laughed as Robyn rolled her eyes, “I want to be surprised but it’s you, Lele.”
“But you also know that I’m right. You really don’t want to see how it is after all this time?”
“No, I’m not even thinking of him like that.”
Leandra sucked her teeth as she flipped her hair over shoulder, “we’ll see, Ms. Robyn.”
“There is nothing to see, Le-” Robyn stopped as her phone started ringing. She looked at the screen and saw it was Chris, “speak of the devil.”
She cleared her throat then answered the phone, “Hey Stranger.”
Chris sat up in his bed as he heard Robyn answer the phone. He knew it was getting late but was taking a chance on her not being asleep, “How you doing, Beautiful?”
“I’m great. How are you?” She replied.
“I’m good. I was taking a chance on you being awake since it’s getting late.”
“It is the weekend and I am off. Nothing to explain about.”
“Great. Do you have plans this weekend?”
“None that can’t be rearranged depending.”
“I was wondering if you were free Saturday evening for dinner.”
“I would love to go to dinner.”
“Just to clarify, this is a date, date. Not a friendship date. Not a I’m just in your neighborhood, let's hang out kind of thing.”
“Ok. You didn’t have to clarify, Christopher.”
“I just don’t want you to feel like I tricked you in any way. My intentions are honorable but I would like to take you on a real date, if that’s feasible.”
“Thank you for the clarification but my answer is still yes.”
Chris blew out a sigh of relief and Robyn laughed, “were you not breathing that whole time?”
“Are you gonna clown me if I say yes?”
“No, I’ll let you slide this time. You really don’t have to be so nervous around me, Chris. I am not being your friend under duress”
“I know, it’s just my insecurity rearing its ugly head. My apologies.”
“Do you want to talk about it? I’m not doing much right now.”
“No, I don’t want to put-”
“Christopher.”
“Yes?”
“It’s not a burden. Now take a deep breath and talk to me.”
“I’m just psyching myself out, I guess.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re still here and I wasn’t prepared for it.”
“What do you mean?”
“I thought you’d be tired of me by now.”
“Why?”
“There’s not too much interesting about me or my life.”
“I’d beg to differ but even if there wasn’t, I could still just want to be around you. Why is that so shocking to you? Are you expecting me to spontaneously become angry about our past and hate you?”
“Honestly, yes.”
“Please do not take what I’m about to do as a dismissal.”
Robyn burst out laughing and Chris groaned into the phone,” Christopher, that is the most asinine thing I have ever heard. If I was still angry, I would not still be talking to you. I don’t do petty. I don’t do revenge. I am an adult and I can adequately express my displeasure in something without writing it off completely. I am beyond the anger stage. I’m in a place of understanding while you seem to be operating from a place of guilt. Am I right?”
“You’re right.”
“So it seems that you are the problem here and not me, correct?”
“Correct.”
“So how are we gonna fix that?”
“I’m thinking I might need to see my therapist.”
“Whatever works for you.”
“So I’ll be at your place around 6: 30 pm tomorrow night, is that ok?”
“That’s perfect.”
“Enjoy the rest of your night.”
“You do the same. Is there any kind of special attire?”
“Nothing too fancy but not super casual either.”
“I’ll see what I can do. Have a good night, Christopher.”
“You too, Robyn.”
Chris hung up and tossed his phone beside him before grabbing a pillow to scream into.
“Girl, you sounded like me talking to Max,” Leandra said with a laugh.
“Chris can be his own worst enemy sometimes,” Robyn replied, “he thinks I’m being nice to him to get back at him.”
“We heard but what’s happening Saturday?”
“He wants to take me on a date.”
“Oooh, where you going?”
“He just said out to dinner, I’m not sure where.”
“What are you wearing?”
“I don’t know.”
“Good. Shopping trip tomorrow then.”
“We do not have time for your kind of shopping trips, Leandra.”
“We can abbreviate it. Y’all are going on a real date so you need to pull out all the stops. We’ll check on Nordstrom’s for an outfit, come back here, I'll do your hair and makeup. Simple.”
“Nothing is ever simple with you.”
“You will love me for it. Trust me. And Chris will too.”
“Now I’m scared.”
They all laughed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Robyn’s nervousness melted away when Chris walked into her living room with Leandra and Melissa hanging off each arm. His eyes met hers and stuck causing her to blush, “can y’all let the man go please?”
Melissa scoffed, “we haven’t seen him in seven years and y’all don’t have to leave yet, relax. I missed my little brother.”
“Psshh, I think Leandra is the only one who didn’t reach out to him this whole time.”
“Actually, I did but I got his voicemail,” Leandra interjected, “ Lucky for him because I was gonna call him all kinds of names for skipping out on us.”
Chris shook his head, “I would’ve deserved.”
“Damn right,” Melissa said, “but Lele and I have plans so we’ll be going now.”
Chris kissed both of their cheeks before they hugged Robyn and left. Chris moved to sit on the couch next to her and patted her knee, “those two are still characters.”
“They always will be.”
“Glad some things haven’t changed.”
“True. So how are you?”
“I’m good. You look amazing.”
“Thank you. Leandra forced me to buy something new. Apparently my current wardrobe isn’t date appropriate.”
Chris chuckled, “I think your current wardrobe is you and that’s perfect.”
“Thank you. You’re really sweet.”
“Ouch.”
“Why the ouch?”
“You’re really sweet is such a curve statement.”
Robyn laughed, “Omg Chris, really?”
“Yes really.”
“But what if I really do think you’re really sweet.”
“It’s been so long how could you remember.”
“We did kiss a while ago. On the corner of the mouth.”
“And?”
“That’s all I’m admitting to.”
Chris laughed as he held his hands up in playful surrender, “I’ll take that but we could remedy that.”
“After dinner.”
“After dinner then. Are you ready to go?”
“Yup. Lead the way.”
Robyn let out an audible sound of awe as they stood by the car at the entrance of Chelsea Pier, “this is gorgeous. What’s going on here tonight?”
“It’s a jazz performance. A few of the local student groups for the major universities in NY are doing a fundraiser.”
“Are some of your students performing?”
“It’s possible, I didn’t check for specific performers of each group.”
“Do you perform anywhere?”
“Not anymore. I did once or twice a few years back.”
“Is that why you gave me the name Christian?”
“Partly. I know there’s videos of my performances online which lead back to my social media which of course would’ve told you everything.”
“You know since you told me this, you totally have to show me these videos.”
“One of these days I’ll get loose enough to not be embarrassed to show you.”
Robyn chuckled, “I’m sure you did well, why be embarrassed?”
“I was fairly nervous performing so I don’t think I did too well.”
“What did everyone else say?”
“That I did well but I think I’m harsher on myself than anyone else.”
“That, I can believe.”
“So what hobbies did you pick up?”
“Other than reading more, none.”
“Really?”
“I’m not the creative type.”
“You used to say that back in the day too but you never know until you try something.”
“What do you think I should try?”
“What have you always wanted to try?”
“How about something we’d both be learning at the same time?”
“How about sculpting or something?”
“Hmm...that sounds good.”
“I guess we need to schedule another date then.”
“You would like that, wouldn’t you?”
“Of course,” Chris replied as he grabbed her hand. They had walked up to the restaurant hosting the fundraiser event. The maitre’d smiled at them as they searched for Chris’s name on the list. Upon finding it, they led them to a table by the window. They smiled their thanks as they took their seats and accepted a menu.
“This is a nice spot.” Robyn stated.
“Thanks. I wasn’t sure if you wanted to be outside. It can get a bit cool since it’s still early in the season.”
“Very thoughtful. Thank you.”
Robyn swayed gently to the current group of musicians playing a jazz-rendition of a classic R&B song by Tony Terry. Chris watched as she started to mouth the words and leaned into his palm, thoroughly enjoying her enchantment with the music. Just then he felt his phone vibrate with a text message from Jessica.
Jessica: Chris, I need to bring Anesa to you. There’s something going with Jason.
Chris: I’m at the restaurant we used to go at Chelsea Pier
Jessica: I’ll be there in ten minutes
Chris: you were already in the city?
Jessica: Yes, I had to drive down here for Jason. It was supposed to be over quick but we’re still here. I’m trying to keep this nigga out of jail
Chris: SMH, you need a new boyfriend
Jessica: I’m figuring that out
Chris: LOL
Chris gingerly touched Robyn’s hand, bringing her attention back to him, “we have a dilemma.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Jessica needs to bring Anesa to me. She has an emergency.”
“Oh, is she ok?”
“It’s her boyfriend. Long story.”
“If you need to cut the date short, I’ll understand.”
“No, I would like to continue this but we might have to switch plans because of Anesa.”
“That’s fine.”
“You sure? I know this was supposed to this big date and I’m gonna have to-”
“Chris, it’s not like we’re not gonna see each other. I am not worried about the change of plans. I’m having a really good time.”
“I can tell. You’ve barely said anything to me since we’ve sat down.”
Robyn shrugged, “music centers me a bit.”
“Oh I’m not complaining. Watching you has been a highlight. How was your dinner?”
“It was amazing. I never considered blackened catfish but I love it. I’m used to grilled or steamed.”
“I’ll have to make a southern dinner from scratch one of these days.”
“I would like that.”
“Good.”
“Is Jessica far away?”
“She said 10 minutes but I’m guessing it’ll be more like 20 if she’s where I think she’s coming from.”
“We could walk for a little bit before we meet her outside.”
“You don’t want anything else to eat or drink?”
“Nope, I think I’m good.”
Chris gestured for the waitress and paid for their food before leading Robyn out to the front.
Robyn tucked her hand in his, “so which way do we go?”
“Hmm...to the right, I believe there is a small park. To the left, would be towards the parking lot.”
“Then to the right it is.”
Robyn leaned in his arm as they started walking, “what led you to fostering?”
“Besides me wanting a child?”
“Besides that.”
“I just thought I was in the right place and I had a capacity for love that I wasn’t utilizing. I’ve always loved children and had a good rapport with them, I figured what better way to use it than to give it to a child that needs it. I had already decided against getting into another relationship.”
“That really surprises me.”
“Why?”
“I mean you’ve clearly healed and done well for yourself. Why stay single?”
“I had my dream girl and I blew it. There wasn’t anyone else out there I really wanted to be involved with.”
“I guess.”
“I could ask you the same question.”
“I was still trying to make sense of the divorce. Adding a new person to my life just didn’t sound like a good idea.”
“But you still could’ve been in a relationship amid all of that.”
“At the risk of inflating your ego, there wasn’t anyone else I wanted to be with.”
“That actually makes me feel more guilty than hype.”
“Why? Because you wanted me to date someone else.”
“Actually yes.”
“Are you really that worried that you ruined me?”
“Very. Not saying relationships are the only way to be happy but I know how much you enjoyed it. You’re very independent but you’re also affectionate and loving, you deserve to share that with someone who’ll give it back to you.”
“I can’t give it to myself?”
“Of course you can but you know what I mean.”
“I do. I’m just picking with you.”
Chris chuckled then kissed her temple, “wanna make a u-turn? Jess should be here by now.”
“Sure. That was a quick 10 minutes.”
“Time flies when you’re having fun.”
“True. So what are we going to do once we get Anesa?”
“I will leave that up to you and her. I want it to be something fun for both of you.”
“I'm good for a movie and relaxing on the couch.”
“I’m trying to do something extraordinary and you are shooting me down at every turn.”
“Who says that extraordinary requires an exuberant amount of energy or money? In my old age, just spending time with a person is extraordinary to me.”
“Well when you put it that way, I feel special.”
“You should. Most people don’t get past one phone call with me.”
“Really?”
“Yes really. The fact you got past the first chat with me is a miracle.”
“I guess that prayer I sent up before we left your house was answered.”
Robyn laughed, “you’re still just as dramatic as you ever were.”
“I’ve tried to mellow it out a bit.”
“Just a bit is right”
“Right in the heart.”
“I never miss, Christopher, if you haven’t figured that out.”
“It has been duly noted.”
They laughed as they made their way back towards the restaurant.
10 Things About You
ShadAmy (One-Shot/ Valentine’s Special)
2K500
.
Shadow always had everything under control. Ever since he discovered his past, he decided to always have control in every aspect of his life.
That was until Amy Rose appeared.
He disliked her and a lot. Her happy go lucky attitude, her idealistic ideologies, and the way she always saw something good in everyone. Even in him.
Shadow hated that. He didn't need anyone to tell him he was good but unconsciously he found himself waiting for her approval.
He hated that everything in his life was going the way he wanted ... but her.
"Hey Shads, I am leaving already."
Rouge walked down the stairs, looking more sexy than usual. She was wearing a short black skirt that showed her toned legs and a matching tank top that accentuated her flat stomach. Rouge was about to tease the guy for staring but the thought went away the moment his eyes diverted back to the TV.
Of course, he already had a pink hedgehog on his mind just like she had a red echidna on hers.
But that didn't mean she couldn't tease him in other ways.
"You will have the place for yourself. Omega is getting reparations at G.U.N. I won't be coming back home so feel free to bring someone to ... spend the night with."
"Didn't you say that you were leaving already?" Shadow said sarcastically, his eyes still glued to the TV.
"You know, if you were nicer maybe you could have gotten yourself a Valentine."
Shadow turned his head around as he looked up and down at Rouge; it was judging look that could make anyone feel less. "So I can make myself look like a clown? No, thank you."
Rouge wasn't affected much by this. She was used to Shadow's horrible personality and attitude, but that still doesn't mean she wasn't going to fight back.
"Well, maybe you should start looking for a costume and makeup..." Rouge walked towards the door, ready to leave. "Because as far as I know, Amy has a thing for clowns."
SLAM!
Goddamit, Rouge. Shadow wished for her to get married to the red one already so she can leave the shared apartment.
Shadow thought he was good at hiding how much he hates the pink one but it seemed Rouge caught into that.
But once again, he would make it pretty obvious sometimes.
.
"Shadow stop pulling my hair!"
"Shadow stop eating my food!"
"Shadow give me back my pen!"
"Shadow stop with the pranks!
Shadow! Shadow! Shadow!
.
"Come on Shadow, give me my notebook back!" Amy jumped constantly as she tried to grasp her favorite black notebook. Shadow was holding with his right hand, he was enjoying too much watching Amy trying to get it.
"I don't think so, this is my favorite new notebook."
Amy stopped jumping and she looked directly at Shadow's eyes. "Do you like my notebook?"
It caught Shadow off guard, and seeing that he wasn't responding, Amy added;
"Alright then, you can keep it."
.
That memory always hit him back at random moments, and he was embarrassed to admit that he still had that black notebook. It was brand new and nothing was written on it, which made Shadow wonder why Amy always held it as if her life depended on it.
But that was some time ago already and the display of hate Shadow showed her had caught Rouge's attention.
"You are like a little kid who doesn't know how to tell his crush he likes her so he bullies her instead to get her attention."
Or so he remembers Rouge saying when she confronted him about the issue.
How stupid of her, to think that the Ultimate Life Form could ever have such feelings for a plain hedgehog.
Shadow switched the channels of his TV and as he expected, every single one of the commercials had to do with Valentine's Day. Couples walking hand by hand, kissing, hugging, Shadow didn't want anything but to this day to be over.
His mind went back to the pink one as he saw a commercial of a shy girl confessing to her crush.
Would Amy do something like this for Sonic? Not like it matter, Sonic wouldn't look at her twice.
Shadow focused his attention once again to the commercial. After a lot of failed attempts of confessing, the shy girl was successful at her task and her crush accepted her.
If Amy tried confessing today, would Sonic change his mind?
Something light up the moment Shadow thought about it. Yes, he would tease Amy whenever he had the chance. However, Amy's reaction to his teasings is completely different from when Sonic teases her.
He had seen it before. Her distracted eyes looking from side to side; how she played with her hands, the light red tint in her cheeks.
No matter how much Shadow tried, he couldn't get her to be like that with him.
Another thing he couldn't control.
How he hated that; how much he hates Amy Rose.
But another thought crossed his mind. If he shows Amy how much he hates her; would she accept that? Would her reaction be the same as when she is with Sonic?
Shadow shook his head; no, there was no way he was going to.
He changed TV channels again and again. Valentine's Day plastered all over the commercials and shows.
Shadow sighed in defeat.
"Well, I was planning on giving back that notebook anyways."
.
It has been two hours already and Shadow was trying to give Amy her notebook back. He couldn't just give it like that, that would be too rude. So he passed by the store to get a small bag. He picked up a red one with white polka dots on it. He put it back immediately, it was just a notebook. So, maybe a simple carton bag is fine? No that's too simple. A white bag? No that's lame.
And that's how Shadow spend two hours trying to pick the perfect bag.
He took the red bag with white polka dots at the end. It reminded him of Amy in a sense, that should be good.
However, all confidence went away when he saw her leave her apartment building. He immediately took the notebook out of the bag and threw the bag away.
He was starting to panic, maybe today wasn't the best day to give it back, she looked like in a rush.
Wait not, fuck that. It wasn't when she wanted, it was when he wanted.
Shadow saw Amy walking towards him and he immediately began to walk away, slowly, very casual. Good thing that he was wearing all black clothes so he could blend in perfectly with the night.
"Hey, Shadow!"
Fuck. How did she find out it was me?
Shadow stopped midtrack as he heard her voice. Forgetting the fact that he was wearing his G.U.N jacket and that his name was written on the back with bold white letters.
He pretended not to hear her and kept walking.
"Is that my old notebook you are holding?"
FUCK ... AGAIN.
Shadow was holding the black notebook behind his back, yes it was stupid of him. This pink girl always made him do stupid things and that's why he hates her.
He turned around to face her, knowing that it would be impossible to escape now.
Damn. How much he hates her.
She was wearing a long red coat that reached to her knees. A white turtle neck blouse with a pink and purple striped skirt that was above her knees. Black thighs covered her legs and small black heels accentuated her legs. She was holding a small red bag to complete her outfit.
Shadow hates how Amu=y wasn't even wearing anything provocative but he was still having unwanted feelings about the way she presented herself.
That was one part of him. One of desire.
His other part focused on her face, she was wearing light makeup but he could still see the under circles in her eyes. The small breakouts in her skin, the way her eyes glowed like the pole light next to them. Her messy hair was tied into a ponytail but her bags moved softly with the air.
This part of him told him that he must care for the pink one, he doesn't know why ... and he hates it.
But the third and last part of him was the worst.
"I can't believe you still have it, were you planning on giving it back?" Amy smiled and Shadow grew angrier by the second.
The worst part was her personality ... and he hates how much control that part of her had over him.
"Yes, it was taking too much space in my room. So instead of throwing it away, I decided to give it back."
"How considerate of you, but I can't accept it."
This is what he gets for being nice. He made a mental note to never do this again in his life.
"Fine," Shadow added, "I'll just throw this in the fucking trash-"
"No, please don't."
Amy touched Shadow's hand and he immediately flinched, pulling his hand away. Amy saw his reaction and she spoke immediately.
"I mean, today is Valentine's and well, usually is the girl who gives a gift or chocolate to the guy." Amy felt her cheeks feel hot as she looked in her bag. She took out a small elongated pink box with a ribbon attached to it. " I have this for you ... and this won't work unless you have the notebook. So please accept my gift and if you don't want it then wait until White Day to give it back."
.
Fuck Amy Rose and this power she had over him. If it was anyone else, he would have laughed it off and deny the gift but when it was her ...
Well, let's just say that Shadow had never run so fast to his apartment to open his gift.
He sat down on the couch again and with a 'pop' he opened his gift.
It was a plastic pen.
Shadow took it in his hand, he was perplexed that Amy had given him such a cheap item in a very elegant box. He analyzed the pen, up and down. It was pink and small and on the side, it had a small button. He pressed it and a purple light came out of the top.
Shadow perfectly knew that this was. It was an invisible ink pen with UV light.
Was Amy out of her mind? Why in the world would she-
"I have this for you ... and this won't work unless you have the notebook."
Shadow connected the dots, he was fast to get the black notebook. He flipped through the pages, all of them blank.
He went back to the first page and he grabbed the pen. He pointed the end of the pen towards the paper and pressed the button. The purple light came out of the pen, revealing letters on what used to be blank pages.
And Shadow began to read.
.
Dear diary #1:
I am happy today because I got this notebook at the store. It came with an invisible ink pen with UV light so no one can read you. Only me!"
.
Dear diary #2:
I tried confessing to Sonic and he rejected me .. again. It's ok tho, I'll keep trying until he loves me!"
.
Dear diary #3:
I hate Shadow! He is so mean to me! I don't understand why I always try to be nice to him. I hope he stops teasing me so much.
.
Dear diary #4:
Rouge told me that Shadow might like me. That's so gross! I don't believe it, just the idea makes me want to throw up. I can only love Sonic anyways.
.
Dear diary #5:
It was a strange day today. During the meeting, I commented that I would love to have a crepe with whip cream. A few hours later, I went to the Resistance's kitchen and I found Shadow secretly baking something. I left him alone and went back to my room. A few hours later someone knocked on my door and when I went to open it, I found an overcooked crepe with too much whip cream outside my room.
Was it ... Shadow?
.
Dear diary #6:
Today, I found Shadow beating up some guys in the city. It wouldn't be a weird sight if it wasn't because those were the exact guys who told me bad stuff at the Resistance a few days ago.
.
Dear diary #7:
It was my birthday today and I received a beautiful arrangement of flowers. I thought Shadow was smart. The flowers had a tag in which it had the name of a flower shop. I went there and they told me that a black with red stripes hedgehog was the one who sent the flowers.
Does that mean that Shadow ... likes me?
.
Dear diary #8:
Shadow says he hates me but he looks at me all the time during the meetings. He looks angry whenever I am talking to other male agents. He looks hurt whenever I am with Sonic.
I think ... I think Shadow really likes me.
.
Dear diary #9:
The more I pay attention to Shadow, the more I find myself intrigued. In battle, he is brave. Although he doesn't show it, he is kind and cares for all agents at the Resistance. He might act cold, but he actually has a really soft personality.
Now, I find myself looking at him the most and our eyes meet more often.
.
Dear diary #10:
I don't even think Shadow is aware that he likes me. I honestly don't want to be the one breaking it to him. He enjoys teasing me and the attention I give him. And if teasing me makes Shadow happy, then I am happy too. I'll keep up the act just to see Shadow happy.
He makes me happy ... because ... because I really like him.
I like Shadow.
.
He closed the notebook and put the pen on top of it as he placed it next to him on the couch. An overwhelming amount of feelings overtook him. Shadow knew that Amy wasn't one to lie, especially when it came to a personal diary like this. He tried to think again, but whenever he thought he had come up with a result, he denied it. He was confused and angry but he also had some content in his heart.
He hates how he can't understand his feelings.
He hates how he is incapable of understanding his feelings.
And he hates how Amy Rose is the only one to blame.
And even so, he couldn't bring himself to hate her completely. She was there in his best and his worst moments. In his moments of intimacy, in his moments of rage and his moments of confusion. She was there.
And although he hates her, Shadow had to admit that he loved the way he didn't feel lonely when he was with her.
Shadow was unsure about his feelings but he was confident about one thing ...
He needed to give Amy a present for White Day.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A/N: Happy Belated Valentine's Day! Something short and no related to my other stories, but I hope you enjoy it! The idea came when I used to live in Japan and I had to give tomo-choco to my friends and for White Day, I received gifts or chocolate back lol. Also, I may have another chapter of 'Stages' done by today, so keep looking forward to that, I see you again soon!
We go together~
The Request: Hey I have a request! Arthur Fleck x deaf!reader(eventually). The reader was a clown for hire like Arthur and they we're both assigned a party to attend. They worked perfectly together, but Arthur didn't understand why Y/n never said a word only smiled and giggled. Arthur tries to talk with her but thinks shes not interested when she doesn't look at him. She just couldn't hear him. Fluff? Sweet?
Tagging: @vemazing ; @i-eat-mud ; @ultra-marine-scales ; @thekillingjoke-haha
Warnings: None
Pairing: Arthur Fleck x reader
Notes: so i changed a few things about it, but its mostly the same. I hope you like it!
You walked down the short hallway, following behind your new boss Hoyt. He turned to you after entering a small room, and you were able to read his lips.
“This is where we get ready for gigs. Your locker is over here.” He said. You nodded and he pointed to a locker. “You have to be at the retirement home by 6. You’re going to be working with Arthur here” he walked over to a man sitting in front of a mirror. A brush in his hand, about to paint his face. He looked at you in the mirror, a meek smile crossing his face. You smiled back, waving slightly. He was a handsome, causing your breath to hitch.
He leaned over Arthur’s shoulder, whispering something in his ear. You could see Arthur listen to him, and he nodded a bit. Hoyt walked away, winking at you as he disappeared down the hall.
You set your things down and opened the locker, seeing the emptiness of it inviting. Like a new apartment. You opened your bag, pulling out your clown costume. A cute, bright purple dress with frills that bounced when you walked, and a green wig. After taking off your jacket, you slipped the dress on over your shirt.
“Shit” you thought, forgetting the zipper, which was almost impossible to reach on your own. You decided to leave it for last, putting on your wig and your large clown shoes.
Arthur looked up through the mirror at you, seeing you put on your green bouncy wig and your large shoes. He smiled a bit, finding the way you stumbled around nervously adorable.
You looked around, wondering who you could ask to zip you up. Being the only girl clown they seemed to have, you felt you should be cautious of who you talked to. People are dangerous in Gotham, and not just outside on the streets. You looked over at Arthur, who was in the process of finishing his makeup and putting on his own green wig. You decided that he was your best bet, being your partner and all. You walked over to him and while you made your way over he seemed to notice, turning to look at you as you approached him.
“Can you zip me up?” You asked softly. He nodded and you turned around.
As he slowly pulled up the zipper, he worked up his confidence to speak to you. “I- I like your dress” he said, but you didn’t respond. The curves of your body mesmerized him as he finished with the zipper and snapped together a small clip. You just turned around and smiled at him as you walked back to your bag. He looked at you confused, but shrugged it off. Maybe you didn’t hear him?
The retirement home wasn’t far from the office, and since it was nice you had asked Arthur if he’d be ok with walking. He had said yes, which surprised you. As you walked beside him, you could tell he was a nervous person. His hands fidgeted a lot. You were silent the whole time, feeling the vibrations of the subway below, and the cars driving by. A few times someone would walk by you, scaring the absolute shit out of you. Not being able to hear people was difficult, but you’d done it your whole life. The thing that was difficult was adapting to the city life, where nobody knew that you couldn’t hear. Those few times where someone would come up beside you with no warning, you nearly grabbed Arthur’s hand. The one time you did, you quickly removed it, worrying that he would be upset.
“I normally work alone, so I’m sorry if I have a hard time adjusting to a partner...” Arthur said. You didn’t look at him. “You don’t mind?” He asked. Again, no response. she hates you he thought. Every time he looked at you, his heart swelled. you just met her Arthur he reminded himself. This did little to help his mind.
You stood in the retirement home, looking at the half asleep elderly. You looked at Arthur who, who began his act. He pulled out a wand, showing it to anyone who would look. After a couple seconds he gestured to you. You smiled as he handed the wand to you, and once he let go it turned to rubber, bending in your hand. You gasped and pointed to it, earning a reaction from the elderly. You glanced at Arthur who simply stared at you. You nudged the wand towards him, and he got the hint.
He twirled around and did a little dance before taking the wand from you and with a move of his hands, made it straight. You gasped once again, clapping your hands together and jumping up and down. Being a clown means being entertaining, and by god you were going to try your best.
The gig lasted an hour, each magic trick proving to give little to no entertainment to the elderly people in front of you. That didn’t bother you though, because the only thing you could really think about was how well you worked with Arthur. Time and time again, gigs would become a bore when your partner would steal the show, leaving you off to the side to make funny faces, but Arthur? He let you do your skits, and sometimes even stepped off to the side to let you take the reigns for a while. You felt like he saw you as an equal in the show, something that felt new and welcoming. You found yourself looking forward to when he would touch your shoulder or hand.
A man in the corner of the room waved his hand at you, catching your attention. He pointed at the clock coldly, telling you that your time was up. You looked to Arthur who also had seen. He grabbed your hand, and gestures to you to bow. You curtsied sweetly and gestured to him, as he bowed deeply.
You packed up your props, and watched as Arthur walked over to the man. You could see the man say something to him, which caused Arthur to look down at the floor. what is he saying? you wondered, the man too far away to read his lips.
As you zipped up your bag, Arthur approached you. “What did that man say to you?” You asked. You saw him sigh and read his lips.
“It’s nothing. Called me a freak. It’s nothing new, don’t worry about it..” he trailed off. You frowned. Arthur wasn’t a freak.
After picking up your things, you made your way to the front of the building. As you walked quickly, you could feel Arthur’s presence just behind you. Stepping onto the sidewalk, it was nearly dark out. “Shit” you whispered. You knew that Gotham wasn’t the safest city to begin with, but at nighttime it was a different story. You looked to Arthur, who seemed unaffected by the darkness of the city. He began walking in the direction of the office, but you reached your hand out and grabbed his. “Arthur?” You said quietly. He turned to you and it looked like his eyes softened at the sight of your nervous face. “I don’t feel safe walking” you looked around and it seemed like every shadow was a threat.
“It’ll be alright” he said, moving to face you. “I’ll be here if something happens” he assured you. You nodded and walked to his side, not letting go of his hand.
“Do you mind?” You asked. Looking at your hand in his own. He shook his head and you could feel his hand tighten around your own.
shes scared arthur he thought to himself. shes scared and you have to protect her Arthur wasn’t sure why he felt so protective over you, it seemed like a part of him just needed to be by your side. “No I don’t mind at all” he whispered, and expected you to look to him, but you didn’t. why won’t she look at me? he asked himself, and worried that maybe you thought he was a freak.
You made it back to the office safely, and it was just the two of you in dressing room. You placed your things down and sighed. After you’d removed your makeup and wig, you looked over to Arthur, who had no face paint on, shirtless. He was staring down at a notebook, and you wondered what he was writing.
You looked at his face in the mirror. He was extremely handsome, the second time you’d thought that today. The smirk that toyed on his lips caused your stomach to flip. He seemed to have noticed your staring, looking up a few seconds later. You felt your cheeks become red, and walked towards him. You pointed to your back, and he got the message, standing up as you turned around.
His large hand rested on your shoulder as his other unzipped you. You felt like you couldn’t breathe.
Arthur thought that his hand felt wrong against your soft skin. How could someone so delicate let him touch them? Once he reached the bottom he removed his hand and watched you walk back to your bag. You put your dress in the bag, and wrapped yourself up in your large jacket. “I’ll see you tomorrow” you said as you turned to him. He smiled, buttoning up his shirt.
A grin spread across your face, and you opened the door. As you stepped onto the dark street, a sense of dread washed over you. Walking home was never an easy thing, but there’s no way you could ask Arthur to walk you home. He probably lives halfway across the city.
As you walked through the streets of Gotham, you realized something. Every time you turned a corner, you could spot someone behind you, just slightly. You shrugged it off as normal, people were everywhere in Gotham.
Walking down a dark and empty street, your mind wandered to Arthur. He had been so sweet to you when you were afraid to walk back to the office, and when he was ok with holding your hand.
A couple yards behind you, Arthur slowly walked, making sure you made it home safely. His mother could wait a couple more minutes. As he kept watch, he saw someone approaching you. Arthur saw the glimmer of a knife in his pocket, and he knew you were in danger. “Y/N!” He yelled, throwing out any hope to stay anonymous, but you just kept walking. “What the fuck!” He breathed to himself. Then, he felt himself running.
Your thoughts were interrupted by a man who had been walking in your direction. “Put your fucking hands up bitch!” He yelled, running towards you. Your eyes widened, unsure of what to do. You raised your hands, dropping your bag. The man suddenly looked behind you, and before you could even look around, someone came from behind you and punched the man.
You gasped, stumbling back a few feet. “Arthur?” You whispered. Arthur proceeded to punch the man, a knife falling out of his hand. You looked at it, realizing what he had in store for you if Arthur hadn’t been there. After a few more punches, Arthur stood up and looked down at the man.
“Leave” Arthur said in a harsh tone. The man slowly stood up, reaching for his knife. Arthur stepped on it before he could, making the man unable to grab it. He huffed and ran away, leaving Arthur and you alone. Before you could say anything, he began to laugh. You looked at him confused until he finally subsided. “I have a condition…” he muttered.
He looked up to you, a look of concern replacing his firm look. “Why didn’t you turn to me?” he asked. You cocked your head, confused. “I called out to you, and you ignored me. In fact, it seems like you’ve been ignoring me all day. Did I do something?” He asked, and your mind finally put the puzzle pieces together.
“I’m deaf” you stated bluntly. He stepped back.
“It all makes sense now” he said. “But how can you…” he pointed to your lips.
“I can read lips” you giggled. He really didn’t know? You thought it was obvious.
“And how can you speak?” He asked.
“Years and years of speech therapy.” you smiled, leaning over to pick up your bag.
“Im- im sorry” he said. You smiled at him.
“I thought Hoyt had told you, but I was wrong. I’m surprised it took so long for you to notice.”
Arthur thought back to every single instance that day that should’ve given him a hint.He smacked himself on the forehead. “Stupid” he said.
“No, you’re not stupid. You actually an amazing clown, better than I’ll ever be…” you trailed off. He smiled at you and his heart softened. No one had ever complimented his work as a clown. You walked up to him, wrapping your arms around his large torso. You felt him tense slightly and relax a moment later. His arms enveloped you. A few seconds later he pulled away far enough for you to read his lips.
“Do you think…” he started. “Do you think I could take you out for a drink sometime?” It had taken the entire day to work up the courage to ask you, he had thought about it moments after meeting you.
“I’d love that Arthur.”
Bucky X Reader
Description: Bucky and Y/N in the 40s. If Steve had a younger sister this is how I imagine their lives would be. (Inspiration and scenes from Captain America: The First Avenger). Not factually accurate.
Warnings: Abuse, swearing and of course amateur writing. No editing has been done.
Part One:
No matter how many times you madly readjust your hair the purple blotches only deepen above your eye.
“No no please.” You murmur to yourself. The overwhelming sense of panic runs down your spine as you note the time on the wooden grandfather clock that sits almost mockingly above the fireplace. Steve would be home anytime now most likely with Bucky in tow. Ever since your parents died both Steve and Bucky have gone the extra mile to look after you. Both held a protective gaze over you at all times. If either of them saw you in this current state they would flip.
You grab your powder, smothering it above your eye causing you to wince - mostly in frustration that the welts couldn’t be covered to the extent you want them to be.
You feel completely stupid as you evaluate the damage left on your body. You had a cut on your forearm that was still bleeding. A trickle of blood is currently seeping through your dress sleeve. The new shoes that Steve somehow managed to buy for your birthday are scuffed, and the bow of your hat remains detached, lying on the floor. You had gotten into a fight with your boyfriend, Eric. You’ve been courting him for only a couple of months, but his nasty side becomes increasingly evident as each day passes. He’d enlisted for the army, he, of course, had the extra pressure of serving his country as his father was the mayor of Brooklyn, Fiorello H. La Guardia. He had to go and fight in the war; his drafting day inches closer and closer which means his explosive nature heightens. The fight you two had was over Bucky. He as usual accused you of having feelings for your brother’s best friend. You didn’t try to deny it, because deep down, you both knew it was true. Bucky’s smile had the power to mend any ache. He is your rock, especially when your mom died. You wouldn’t know where you would be without him. He knew all your secrets, all your fears and how to make you laugh like no one else. No man could ever make you feel the way he did. Watching Bucky go on countless dates broke your heart, it nearly tears you apart at the near mention of another woman. But you ignore the dull ache in your chest; instead of pining over your brother’s best friend you alter your attention elsewhere. You decided that you didn’t want to be heartbroken by this beautiful man anymore so instead, you came up with a plan. Erica was the answer to get over Bucky.
He beats you. He yells at you. But you still stay. You figure you aren’t exactly innocent when it comes to Eric and his drama. You are and have been using him, maybe not on purpose, but if you were being honest with yourself, he’s a distraction. It made you a guilty party in this mess. So you stayed and remained silent. If anyone found out the mayor's son was hitting his lady, there would be a huge scandal. Your reputation would be damaged and Steve would run off and get himself killed if he and Eric ever came face to face.
Rushing around the room you quickly change into another dress, discarding the stained one into a ball at the bottom of the closet. You fumble in the kitchen cabinet looking for bandages. The number of times you’ve had to fish them out of the draw for Steve when he came home beaten and bloody has gotten you familiar with first aid.
Two familiar voices irrupt in laughter from outside the walls of your home. “Crap.” You hiss as your fingers fumble with the bandage.
“Ah, I can’t find my key.” Steve huffs from outside the door. Tying the bandage up and pulling your sleeve down you take a deep breath attempting to calm yourself.
“Seriously man? Again?” Bucky laughs. You hear some movement and scuffling outside. You assume it’s Buck grabbing the spare key from underneath the loose brick just outside the apartment. A few seconds later the key jingles in the keyhole and the door swings open.
“Hey Stevie, did you manage to get some bread while you were out?” You call walking towards both men pretending that it was any other normal day.
“Sorry Y/N, I got caught up. I’ll get us some tomorrow.” He shoots you an apologetic smile. You walk towards them ready to give him an ear full when something stops you dead in your tracks.
Bucky stands proud and tall in his army uniform. Gold flakes dance in his blue eyes as he drinks in your appearance.
“You’ve got your orders?” You nearly choke out.
“Yeah, first thing tomorrow.” You swallow the thick lump that’s formed in your throat. “Y/N, don’t look so sad.” He gently coos. Bucky pulls you into his side, gently rubbing his fingers up and down your arm in an attempt to comfort you, but it does nothing to soothe your aching heart. You dreaded this very day. His hand continues to trace soft patterns as he senses your unease but he soon hesitates. His hand hovers over the bandage hiding under your sleeve. Your eyes interlock and immediately a rush of panic overloads your body as he starts to notice the messy hair, the overdone makeup and the bandages sprawled out in the kitchen. You can see his mind working overtime, putting all the pieces together. His eyes burn into your soul and for a second you are convinced he can see right through you. Quickly pulling your hand away you turn your attention to Steve. Examing his appearance you notice the bruises on his face. They were nearly identical to yours.
“Seriously Steven? Again?” You huff, “You got into another fight? Who was it with this time?” You begin to fuss over him but he swats your hands away, not allowing you to fully inspect his wounds.
“Y/N I’m fine.” He wines.
“Honestly is it too much to ask to just walk away?” You can feel Bucky’s eyes scanning your appearance but you ignore him.
“Are you going out tonight Doll?” Bucky quizzes.
“Yeah what’s with the clown makeup, you don’t need it Y/N, you’re beautiful, just like mom,” Steve interjects. “ And I promise I will be careful next time.” He says while planting a soft kiss on your cheek. “You don’t need to worry about me.”
You roll your eyes; you’ve heard that before.
“I haven’t made dinner because I’m going to the Stark Expo.” You answer Bucky while staring at your bare feet.
“Oh so are we, I just need to get cleaned up.” Steve groans, “Double dates are never fun, but here I am, getting pressured into this situation, again.” He walks into the cupboard retrieving a new tie without any bloodstains leaving you and Bucky alone.
You silently plead for Steve to come back.
“Who are you going with?” Bucky asks. He steps closer to you, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. You can feel his warmth radiating against your skin. You ignore the shivers he sends up your spin and silently curse at Bucky as butterflies explore in your stomach.
“With Eric.” You reply, trying to will yourself out of Bucky’s grasp.
“Is that who did this to you?” He replies softly in your ear but you notice his jaw tighten. You pull away, scrambling to find your shoes and purse.
“I’m running late, I have to leave now. Eric is probably wondering where I am.” You shout loud enough for Steve to hear from the other room.
“Wait sis, we will walk you. I’ll just be a minute.” Steve calls out to you.
“You can tell me, doll. I promise I won’t get Steve involved.” He pleads, searching your eyes for the truth.
“I will see you later tonight. Don’t leave without saying goodbye to me okay?” You ignore him. You reach on your tippy-toes and place a soft gentle kiss on his cheek.
“I’m all good Steve! Stay at least a mile away from me tonight at all times.” You yell as you reach for the front door.
“Take care of him tonight.” You instruct Bucky as you fly out the door. It takes every bit of strength to hold in the tears that so desperately want to escape.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Part Two:
The stench of the alcohol burns your tongue as Eric pulls you in for a sloppy kiss. Passer bys shoot you dirty looks as Eric continues to make a show of PDA.
“I’m sorry about today. I won’t happen again.” He mumbles into his flask. You were currently leaning up against the fence watching the crowd play fun carnival games and dance the night away.
You’d only been here for an hour, and so far you’d engaged in zero fun. Out of the corner of your eye, you can see Bucky, Steve and two other girls. Steve looks uncomfortable, while the blonde woman looks bored. The brunette is attached to Bucky at the hip. However, Bucky’s glances haven’t gone unnoticed. About half-an-hour ago he spotted you with Eric and has made a conscious effort to stay close ever since. The sight of him in his uniform causes tears to pool in your eyes. There was a chance he was going to die and that very thought made you want to breakdown and scream.
“Seriously Y/N? You can’t keep your eyes off him can you?” Eric’s voice booms, as he takes another swig of his flask. “You can’t help yourself!” He gets considerably louder causing some heads to turn.
“Eric I wasn’t-” You start.
“Don’t. Lie. To. Me.” He hisses in a tone so deadly the pit of your stomach drops.
“Eric it’s not like that.” You begin to explain. Familiar fear creeps in. If you didn’t shut this down now, a very public scene would occur. Eric is twice your size, so any attempt of getting away is slim. He pulls you into his firm grip and tightens each time you squirm.
“You’re a filthy bitch.” You cry out as he pushes you back into the fence. You stumble back dropping your purse.
“Hey, that’s my sister!” You hear Steve say as he charges at Eric. You and Steve are pretty much the same in height and weight. There is no way Steve could ever take on your date. In fact, three years ago, Eric beat up your brother in one of the parking lots downtown. Steve’s face was so swollen you could barely recognise him.
“No Steve, please. Don’t.” You scream but it’s too late. Steve is on the ground groaning in a matter of seconds. Kick after kick you desperately scream at Eric to stop.
A few seconds pass, hearing a scuffle you blink furiously but your eyes are blinded by tears. The grunting seems to halt suddenly but you can’t seem to stop crying. This is your worst nightmare. The whole of New York, your brother and Bucky have just laid witness to your daily abuse.
“You’ll pay for that Barnes!” Eric’s voice screams from a distance, but the only thing you can focus on is the loud pounding in your chest.
“Hey Doll, Shh, I’m here.” A familiar voice whispers in your ear. Your body is shaking uncontrollably as the shame sets in. Bucky’s hands fly to your face assessing the damage. “Are you hurt?” He asks, but the only reply you can manage is a whimper. “Y/N? Are you hurt?” He scans your body furiously for any injuries.
“Y/N! What the heck was that?” Steve yells causing you to flinch. Your brother has never yelled at you in your life. “You need to explain this to me right now.” His eyes are filled to the brim with rage and his breathing ragged. You’d never seen him like this.
“Take a walk Steve, you're scaring her,” Bucky instructs as he finishes his examination.
“No. Buck cmon!” Steve insists.
“I said take a walk. Come back when you’ve calmed down.” Bucky says which Steve reluctantly follows. “It’s okay man, I’ve got her.” He assures.
You watch as your brother angrily picks up your purse and stalks in the opposite direction kicking a trash can in anger.
“Cmon beautiful let's sit down.” Bucky gently commands as he leads you over to the park bench he pulls you into his side protectively.
“I’ve never seen Steve so mad.” You whisper glancing down at your fingers.
“He’s just scared Y/N, he feels like he failed you as a big brother.” He sighs, as he scratches his head, “Frankly I feel like I’ve failed you as well.”
After a moment of silence Bucky speaks up, “Why didn’t you tell us?”
“I didn’t want Steve to get involved. As you just saw he likes to think he can take on the world.” You mumble.
“Okay, I get why you didn’t tell Steve, but why didn’t you tell me.” He gently wipes a tear that’s managed to escape. “I would have handled this for you.”
“I don’t know,” You whisper, wishing you were anywhere other than Bucky’s accusing eyes.
“That’s not good enough Y/N, why didn’t you tell me when I asked today?” He pushes. His jaw tightens and his brows furrow.
“Because you're leaving Buck.” You finally gain the courage to look him in the eye, “You leave tomorrow, and as soon as you leave I lose the ability to count on you. I’m not stupid. I know Steve is out there, day after day trying to get shipped off into a war zone. He will either get accepted or thrown into jail for lying on the enlistment form, so I can’t rely on him either.” You swallow back the ball of cement that seems to be lodged in your throat. “I thought I could deal with this on my own, ya know, without you because soon enough, it will just be me.” You take a deep breath, “I guess I just wanted to prove to myself I could handle this.”
“Come here.” Bucky pulls you into a fierce hug and for just a split second all your troubles melt away.
“I’m always going to find my way back to you Y/N. Always.” He whispers.
“Not if you die in the war.” You whimper. “What if this is the last time I ever see you.” Your heart starts to pound in your ears as horrible thoughts burn in the back of your mind.
“Hey, shh, Doll.” He hushes, “I will come back, even if I have to crawl through barb wire or walk thousands of miles without food or water just to see your pretty face. I will. I will always find my way back to you.” He presses light kisses to your bruises and pulls you in closer.
“But I need you to promise me something.” He gently grabs your chin so you are both holding eye contact. “I need you to promise me that you won’t ever go back to him or any guy like him okay? Actually on second thought, maybe don’t go near any guy that isn’t me or Steve.” He shoots you a goofy smile and you nod causing him to let out a light chuckle.
“I’m only half-joking about that last part.” He reassures, he takes a second to think before making his declaration, “When I get back I’m taking you on a real date Y/N, I’m going to show you what true love is.” He looks down at you, adoration shining in his eyes. “I’ll make you forget all about that scum.”
You laugh, loving the sound of that. “You’ll have to tell Steve and then get his approval first.” You joke lacing your hands in his.
“He knows doll, he’s always known about my feelings for you,” Bucky whispers. For a second it feels like the world just stopped turning. Your face must mirror the confusion you feel inside because Buck laughs as you try to comprehend the words he so confidently spoke.
“You better come back to me Barnes.” You whisper as you gently kiss his lightly bruised knuckles from when he saved both you and your brother.
Bucky was and will remain your hero.
Apologies for changing the storyline of Bucky & Steve. And a double apology for not editing this but it’s 12am here.
thanks to @kinky-but-wholesome for this lovely sketch, go follow them & send some asks & love; they deserve it! thanks again lovie ♥️
Halloween night, 1995.
“We, by far, have the best couples costume!” Richie hollered as he entered the Denbrough and Uris dorm room. Eddie had hesitantly trailed behind Richie with a slight scowl on his face.
Richie was decked out in an elaborate red house coat, with his hair gelled and slicked to his head, a few untamed strands sticking out from the captains hat placed astray atop his head. He looked quite comical, actually.
Bill turned to them as they entered his dorm unannounced, laughing at the pairs costumes. “Really, E-Eddie? Y-y-you allowed this?”
“I lost a fucking bet.” He huffed and Richie chuckled evilly, grabbing Eddies bunny tail strapped firmly to his behind, Eddie yelped and swatted his hands away, crossing his arms over his chest. Eddie was wearing bunny ears, black shorts, fishnets, and a tank top with a small tuxedo jacket on top, he also had a little bow tie for flare.
“Isn’t he just the cutest!” Richie dramatized by grabbing Eddie’s cheeks and smacking a wet kiss to his lips. Eddie ew’d brashly and rolled his eyes, hiding a grin.
“Way to-to out yourself, Tra-trashmouth. D-d-dressing up as Hugh H-Hefner and fo-forcing your boyfriend to dress as-as a playboy b-bunny? R-r-real subtle.” Bill finished applying his eye makeup and accented the red smile with borrowed lipstick from Bev.
“Force? Heavens no! The outfit I wanted him to wear was far skimpier. Had a little lace up-“
“Shut the fuck up, Richard!” Eddie hollered and slapped his shoulder harshly.
“Hey now, don’t be rude to daddy Hefner!” The taller boy said winking at the shorter.
“I’m gonna vomit.” Eddie raised his hands and left the room, Richie laughed loudly and threw himself on Stan’s bed, looking over at Bill.
“Nice look, Billy-boy. Suits you.” Bill nodded his head as he finally finished applying the dark eyeliner. “A grunge joker? Like it.”
Bill, on the other hand, had went for a darker approach to his favourite villain. Ever since he saw Batman when he was thirteen, he’s admired the villain. His costume consisted of a green wig, drawn on smile, cheap purple tuxedo and orange clown shoes. “I-I was w-w-w-weary, I mean...since you h-hate clowns, Ruh-Rich, but-“
“Looks awesome, Bill, and please, make Richie suffer.” Eddie re-entered the room with a handful of candies and plopped himself down on the bed beside Richie, who opened his mouth and expected a mini Milky Way to be hand delivered. “Oh, no way, these are mine, asshole. Get your own.” Eddie scooted away from Richie, who simply grabbed hold of his lithe waist and flipped them over so Eddie was trapped underneath him with no escape.
“I demand a Milky Way!” Richie screeched and Eddie scoffed and unwrapped one shoving it directly into his boyfriends mouth.
“Now will you shut up?” Richie made a noise of agreement while gnawing on the sticky treat. Richie then pulled Eddie to sit and sprawl out in his lap, who rolled his eyes but nonetheless wrapped his arms around Richies neck, tossing a stray skittle into his mouth.
“Juh-Jesus, when are t-the oth-other l-losers coming? S-so, I don’t have to-to watch you two f-f-fraternizing alone.” Bill stammered out but both boys were too caught up in themselves to hear, they said nothing.
The door opened then surprisingly to reveal Mike and Stan strutting in dressed in costumes that were seemingly appropriate for their characteristics.
Mike went as a simple Indiana Jones, with the hat, vest, weaponry and all; he looked good. It suited his sense for adventure and new things.
Stan had on these brown and blue wings strapped to his back, a big bird beak tied around his head replacing his nose and even had shoe covers to resemble talons. And Richie could not stop fucking laughing.
“There’s big bird! What the hell happened to Stan!”
“Yeah, yeah, laugh it up asshole.” Stan said and pushed Richie along with Eddie off his bed as he sat down in their place. Mike laughed at the cries of displeasure from Eddie and Richie. They all tossed around a bowl of candy, shutting up all arguments from a certain Trashmouth.
Just as Richie moved to pluck at Stan’s feathers, surely wanting to seek revenge, a knock sounded throughout the small dorm and Mike moved to open it.
Ben greeted Mike in the doorway with a friendly smile and behind him stood Beverly who looked beautiful, as always. Bev was dressed as poison Ivy, accenting her long fiery red hair. She had a green, woodsy, knee length dress on with vines covering the entirety of her body, her eye makeup was pristine and well done, she had even hand decorated the shoes. “Killer costume, Marsh!” Richie hollered from his place on the ground, Eddie agreed, munching on a Hershey’s bar. Bev curtsied as she was ushered inside, planting herself at the small eating area, Ben following closely behind her.
“I made both mine and Ben’s costumes from scratch. Also did his makeup and I think I did a pretty good fucking job, if I say so myself!” Everyone agreed with a shrug. “Oh, and we’re SO winning that costume contest, by the way, you all better not even try! I mean, look,” Bev chuckled and made them all look at and admire Ben’s well-crafted costume.
Ben was dressed as a zombie, fit with torn attire and gruesome makeup, his skin had a greenish tint and he looked sickly. All was accented by sunken black eyes and even contact lenses. Bev looked quite proud of herself as they all examined the costume in bewilderment.
“Brownie points for the lenses, Bevvy. Costumes pretty sweet, but not as sweet and mine and Ed’s.” Richie crossed his arms and Eddie huffed a laugh, knowing there wasn’t any competition between who’s costumes were better. Bev shook her head, as she was a major in design and fashion she thought this was hilarious coming from a computer tech major, who didn’t know jack-shit about proper design.
“I’d honestly expect worse from you, Rich. Ed’s on the other hand; did you lose a bet?” Bev laughed, Stan and Mike just then took into account their costumes, Stan scoffed, Mike looked at Bill with a grin, as they both shook their heads in tandem.
“Damn right I lost a bet!” Eddie said offering Bev a candy bar, Richie protested that; “why’d you give her one easily then literally fight me!” Eddie shrugged & said; “I like her better.” Bev stuck her tongue out at Richie, who acted theatrically hurt.
“Well, I guess then...this is meaningless.” Richie sighed pulling something out of his robe pocket. Hiding it from the others.
“What is it?” Eddie asked, letting curiosity get the better of him, even knowing fully that Richie was just messing with him.
Richie stood up promptly, reaching his hands down to Eddie to pull him up to his feet. Richie then nodded approvingly and got down onto one knee.
“Eddie, my love, my life, my first love, my last love, my little hypochondriac who loves wearing short-shorts. The pain in my ass, always making sure I don’t get pneumonia in the rain, or making sure I wash my hands and have regular showers. Being my boyfriend even after that one time I farted really loudly when us and your mother were having dinner at red lobster.”
“Okay-okay, cut to the chase.”
“Right. Anyways, I hope you all are filming this heartwarming moment.” Richie said to the losers, and Mike then whipped out his little cam-corder. “Good. Eddie Kaspbrak, will you marry me?”
Richie pulled out a package which when peeled open revealed a bright blue ring pop. Eddie wanted to groan and huff in annoyance but he laughed clamorously which resulted in him snorting embarrassingly.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. I love you, Rich.”
Pulling the taller one to his feet, Eddie went on his tippy-toes and planted a solid kiss on the Trashmouths lips, wrapping his arms all the way around his neck. The losers, having no idea what the fuck they just witnessed; clapped.
“Love you too, my sugar plum. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you! Shall we adopt seven Pomeranians?”
“As long as they don’t attack us, kill us, then eat our corpses. I watched that video, I know what reclusion and animals do to people.”
“Oh baby, I love you so much. Happy Halloween.”
“Excuse me?” the small boy peered up at me, he picked up what seemed to be an inhaler. He didn’t have his signature cast yet, I was here before most of the catastrophe. How should I approach him, there’s no way I’m telling him directly, he wouldn’t believe me. What the hell should I tell him then? He stared at me like I was crazy, taking a step back for good measure. I mean I don’t blame him, I look like I’ve been rolling in the dirt. I panicked, it was going to happen one way or another.
“Uh, I think I’m lost.” It was a simple explanation, he kept looking at me, like I had five heads.
He gave me a swift look of disgust, probably since I was covered in dirt. “I’m sorry my mom told me not to talk to strangers.” Shit. He was the germaphobe, eternally clung to his mother’s side, until she dies at sixty-six.
“I’m sorry, I need to get home.” He brushed past me and jumped at the sudden contact, his pills flooded out from his fanny pack and piled onto the ground. Some rolled forwards while most of them flew in different directions. An abundance of different pill bottles fell next, the short boy looked at the now germ infested medicine in horror.
I didn’t know what to do,”Do you want my help or would you prefer me not to touch?” He dropped to the ground and sorted pills by color and stuffing them back into the right tube.
“How do I know that you’re not some psychopath that could kill me?”
“Um, I don’t know.”
“Fair point, just grab the red ones. Be careful my mom will flip of she figures out what just happened.”
Ah, Mrs.Kaspbrak, a woman that completely overprotects her child to the point of isolation and creates illnesses just to keep him ‘safe.’ I thought of the book, how it showed his mom slowly incasing his youth in a small orange pill bottle.
-
Eddie gasped. He could see a foot floating inside a shole filled with green smoke. The bones in his foot! He crossed his great big toe over his second toe and the eldritch bones in the scope made an X that was not white, but goblin-green. He could see-
His mother shrieked, a rising sound of panic cut through the quiet shoe store like a runaway reaper-blade, like a firebell, like doom on horseback. He jerked his startled, dismayed face out of the viewer and saw her pelting towards him across the store in her stocking feet, her dress flying out behind her. She knocked a chair over and one of those shoe-measuring things that always tickled his feet went flying. Here bosom heaved. Her mouth was a scarlet O of horror. Faces turned to follow her progress.
“Eddie get off there!” she screamed. “Get off there!” Those machines give you cancer! Get off there! Eddie! Eddieee-!”
I remember that chapter, I felt so bad for Eddie and yet I’m here ‘talking’ to him. Reality keeps straying quicker and quicker away from me. Next thing you know I’ll be fooling around with the damn Losers Club. As fun as that seems I had ongoing worry, is my mom ok? Will I be ok? Am I in a coma?
I couldn’t stop thinking about my fate, could I be dying. Is this the last moment I’ll spend until my time is up. In Derry, Maine! The ‘shittiest place on earth.’ After all these murders and that clown rampaging in the sewers I see why the town was coined the title.
Most importantly to the subject, why does Eddie have so many pills? We began to pick each up out of the sorting it didn’t take long to pick them all up. No eye contact was made, my chances were dialing, if anyone could help me with this phenomena it would be the clown-fighting teens.
Eddie looked around, “I’m missing one.” How the hell does he know that. Lurking silence was downed upon us as we glanced around a grim voice cut in.
“Do you think this will help me, Eddie?”
We whipped our heads above us, a creature will drool castading out from its mouth crouched holding the last red pill. Its hair was knotted, ratty. Lumps and sores were plucked all over its thin and lanky body. There was no nose, horrible retching sounds came out of it as it inhaled and exhaled. Ripped cloth adorned the body, bandages came as a pair. A huge pile of them were attached to its left ‘foot.’ A moan escaped his mouth area, Eddie groaned. The two of us scattered as we ran from the monster. I remembered this from the newer movie and book, IT is here, he found us. How can I even see it, only people affected by….. Shit. The monster got up and limped towards us, we were cornered. I was racked with fear, tears filled my eyes and my vision was inconceivable. It screamed and retched as we ran towards the dirty Neibolt house. The makeshift cast banged against the ground with such force and rhythm, he was on our tails.
Eddie made sure to check back to see if he was dreaming or not, his nerves got the best of him and he kept tripping. A few tears escaped my eyes, I couldn’t be scared isn’t that what the clown wants? I know I couldn’t die from this, but if I see IT what will stop me from just that. We reached a fence, the screaming stopped, as did the banging. I glanced behind me. This can’t be real.
Above all the grass and weeds was what you could only read about, what you could only dream about, something that you should never see in real life. It should’ve been a fictional character, in a book, but there it was, right in front of me. That’s when I realized I can’t go back, how can I wake up from this, it’s real. It has to be.
Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
Rows of red, rubbery balloons covered his face. His white clown outfit hung in ruffles with three red pom-poms. The balloons went above his head, disappearing into oblivion. A crooked smile was slapped across his face. ‘Just Kill me now.’ I thought. It was him, down to the makeup and hair. Eddie was petrified.
“Where ya going Eds?” His voice made a shiver go up my spine. “Shouldn’t you be home by now?”
The clown looked over to me, “And you, Y/N. You can’t go home, can you?” He giggled. What does he mean, why can’t I go home. I want to be in bed, waiting for that last day of school.
“Come join the clown Eds.” Eddie looked at me. “You’ll float down here.” IT shrugged his shoulders.
“We all float down here. Yes we do!”
A shrill laugh came out of its mouth, why did this have to happen to me! Eddie screamed and I followed him as we ran through a fence parting. His breaths were choppy, the boy fell once more and the sound of a balloon popping was all that was left.
He glanced back at me, “Please tell me you saw that too.”
Arthur Fleck x Fem Reader- “Hey, Lolita, Hey”
Before you guys read this, listen!
In this fanfic, you basically are a grown adult cosplaying as Lolita.
I hope you guys don’t find this fanfic offensive considering “Lolita” is a problematic story, though Arthur Fleck himself has killed people and you women lust after that, even sometimes say “choke me clown daddy!” to him...
And no, Arthur doesn’t wear any clown makeup in this fanfic...
________________________________________________________________
You and Arthur were no longer living in that grungy apartment the two of you shared in an apocalyptic looking city in New York.
Even though you somewhat enjoy living in a grungy apartment and even in such a rough, rundown city in New York due to aesthetic purposes, where you live in now, you don't have to worry about people hearing you and Arthur have sex, you don't hear annoying neighbors arguing, you don't have rats running around, the typical cons of living in a rundown place in New York.
Now, you were living in a beautiful, lily white suburb, similar to a 1950's neighborhood, where the grass is perfectly green.
It was a sunny day, the sky was blue and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky, and you were lying on the grass on a beach towel, wearing a bikini and flipping through a magazine.
Arthur noticed you through the window, and he had to take a closer look at you.
You looked so sexy and nymphet-like, like Sue Lyon in "Lolita" and that's precisely what you wanted.
Arthur opened the door, where he looked and stared at you lying down in that bikini, reading some articles through a magazine.
Hearing that door open, your head suddenly turned to the door, where Arthur came out of that door.
Arthur was dressed in that same suit he wore the night he tried performing standup comedy at a club, only to completely flop, constantly and uncontrollably laughing.
He looks very Humbert Humbert/Daddy-esque in that suit, and that's awesome.
It fits perfectly with your Lolita vibe you're going for now.
Plus, he looks so grown up and mature, not acting childish like he used to sometimes.
Speaking of Lolita, seeing Arthur looking at you, smiling, you changed the position you were sitting in.
You assembled yourself off of that blanket, where now, instead of laying on the blanket on your back, you lay your legs across that blanket, sitting like Sue Lyon sits in "Lolita" when she's lying on that blanket, showing off her stomach and torso, tilting her sunglasses.
You showed Arthur your beautiful body, hoping to seduce him and catch his libido.
Much like Sue Lyon in "Lolita", you tried looking innocent and flirtatious.
Blood was rushing to his cock, making his cock rise and erect, only for his pants to keep his boner down.
While your eyes looked up and down at Arthur, you eyes eventually found his cock protruding a bit through his pants, through one of his pants legs, where your eyes stayed looking at his erection.
Your eyes couldn't help but stare at his boner, and not just stare at his erection, but your mouth also broke across in a naughty smile at his boner.
Arthur noticed that smile on your face and you looking down at his cock, where he bowed his head and looked down at the boner in his pants.
You wanted to do quite a lot to Arthur today.
You then scrambled off of the blanket and picked the blanket off of the ground, where you headed towards the door Arthur opened.
Arthur's head turned once you walked into that open door.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"To change my outfit" you answered.
You then scurried up the stairs to your bedroom, where, once you were inside your bedroom, you headed straight for your closet, trying to look for a cute outfit to wear.
You also tossed the towel on your bed, you'll pick it up later and put it in the closet.
Your eyes searched through that closet, trying to find something cute, flirtatious, something to entice Arthur in.
Your eyes then paused at a little see through blue negligee that looked similar to what Baby Spice from the Spice Girls wore at the 1997 MTV VMA's.
In fact, it was that exact same little blue negligee.
You decided this is the one to wear, especially considering Baby Spice was Lolita-esque.
Your stretched your hand towards the plastic hanger holding that negligee, where your fingers wrapped around that hanger, gripping onto it.
You took that Baby Spice-like negligee out of the closet and lay it on your bed.
Your hands went behind your neck, where they fumbled and untied the strings behind your neck, loosening the knot tied behind your neck.
The strings lay and hang loose and limp.
You then put your hands behind your back towards the strings tied behind your back, where your hands untied the two strings that tied a knot, loosening the knot.
This successfully worked, where you removed your bikini top off of your torso and tossed it on your bed.
Your hands, specifically your fingers, then gripped onto opposite sides of your bikini bottoms, where you pushed and pulled your bikini bottoms all the way down to your ankles, where you lifted your feet out of the holes your legs previously filled up.
You pulled the negligee's straps off of the plastic hanger, grabbing the negligee by the straps and put it in front of you, right in front of your knees.
You put one foot inside the empty space inside your negligee, then the other foot inside, where you pulled that negligee up to your torso, filling your arms
Now, this silky negligee was covering your torso, you looked cute and Lolita-like.
Almost.
You then ran out of your room and rushed down the stairs, where you headed into the kitchen.
You opened one of the cabinets, where you keep the candy stashed in.
You had a spare Ring Pop in there, a cherry one, and Ring Pops are a staple of childhood.
You pulled that cherry Ring Pop out of the cabinet, shutting the cabinet's door once you pulled the candy out, and peeled the wrapper all the way down to the bottom, until the wrapper was halfway open.
You pulled out that cherry Ring Pop from the wrapper, picking it up by the plastic part of the candy below it meant to wrap around your finger, and threw the wrapped in the trash.
You then placed the Ring Pop on the bottom of your ring finger, where the plastic wrapped around your ring finger.
It's fitting that you got a cherry Ring Pop out from that cabinet, since there's the classic phrase "popping your cherry", and Arthur no doubt has done that.
You walked out of that kitchen with a Ring Pop around your finger, where Arthur now saw you dressed in that blue negligee and a Ring Pop around your finger.
You put your hand holding that Ring Pop around your ring finger up to your mouth, where you wrapped your mouth on top of that Ring Pop, putting the tip of your tongue on the candy, tasting its artificial flavor.
You walked up to Arthur, where he saw you dressed in that blue little negligee and had a Ring Pop in your mouth.
You looked so childish and Lolitalike, and Arthur looked like the Daddy.
You walked up to Arthur coyly, trying to look sexy and innocent, putting one leg in front of the other up to him.
While you walked up to him, your tongue was having some licks of that Ring Pop, which was coloring your tongue red.
Once you were right in front of Arthur, you pulled that Ring Pop out of your mouth, where you then placed your hands on his shoulders.
You lifted yourself off the ground by holding onto his shoulders, only to wrap your calves behind his ass tightly.
This startled Arthur a bit, but considering your childish outfit and instinct, no wonder you did this!
While you were trying to hold and grip onto him with your legs wrapped around his ass, you draped one of your arms behind his shoulders and neck, where you directed your hand holding a Ring Pop around your finger in front of his mouth.
"Want a lick?" you asked him.
An ear-to-ear smile broke across his face, and while he was much too old to be tasting Ring Pops and finds them pretty nasty, he can't help but try one, just for his Princess.
His tongue crept out of his mouth, where he gave that Ring Pop a lick, raising his tongue up that candy, getting a taste of that cherry candy.
Yes, it tastes very artificial, but, whatevs.
While having your legs wrapped behind Arthur's ass, Arthur put his hands behind your ass cheeks, not gripping onto them, but holding you up, even lifting you up a bit a few inches, holding you like he was holding a baby who's old enough to hold its head up.
When Arthur was holding you in his arms, you tried your best not to get that Ring Pop stuck in his hair or yours, that's disgusting.
You moved your hand holding that Ring Pop around your finger away from his mouth, and speaking of mouths, you quickly pulled your face into Arthur's face, where your eyes shut as you landed your lips on his.
You snuck your tongue in Arthur's mouth, where you dragged your tongue down the top of Arthur's tongue.
Arthur's eyes shut suddenly once you lips were on his, and he kissed you back.
He also could feel your tongue trying to seduce his tongue, and his tongue decided to fight back.
The two of you began kissing one another, the two of yours lips parting only to join again over and over again.
Y'know that scene in the 1997 "Lolita" remake where Lolita runs into Humbert, wrapping her legs behind his ass and kisses him?
That's what you were kissing Arthur like.
And not just that, but your hand draped behind his neck and shoulders, the one that luckily didn't have a Ring Pop on one of your fingers, crawled behind his head, where your fingers ran through his dark brown locks.
Arthur wishes he could run his fingers through your hair, but he's busy right now holding onto you, keeping a grip on you.
And not just holding onto you, but he also snuck his tongue into your mouth, where the two of yours tongues twisted and turned on one another.
His tongue dragged on top of your tongue, where he felt the slight bit of red artificial food coloring on top of your tongue courtesy of licking that Ring Pop.
And speaking of Ring Pops, your lips tasted a bit like that Ring Pop since you had a taste of that Ring Pop before you wrapped your legs around Arthur's hips.
Arthur was still trying to keep his balance while you were making out with him, though, maybe it's best if you took a break from kissing him, even though you wish this could go on forever.
You pulled your face away from Arthur's, breaking the kiss, your lips and his lips making a lipsmacking sound once they separated.
You wish Arthur could sit down somewhere so he wouldn't try to balance himself while holding you.
His arms are probably getting tired from holding you.
Y'know, even though you were having a lovely time with Arthur kissing him, is having a Ring Pop with you necessary?
It adds to the childlike, Lolita image you have right now, though, is it necessary to have it now?
_______________________________________________________________
Also, about this fanfic, I wanted to type how you and Arthur sit on a couch together and both lick the same Ring Pop on your finger, where your tongues eventually touch one another, but I’ve already written a fanfic where the fem reader licks an ice cream cone, a clown cone from Baskin Robbins, to be honest, with Arthur and their tongues nudge one another, licking each other.
The sick new lightsaber (and the outfit and the makeup) is exactly why I’m sure it’s a vision. Rey falling to the dark side for a bit IS plausible BUT unless there is going to be a time jump her new gear doesn’t make any sense, this isn’t a rom com, there’s not going to be a dark side makeover montage. DarkRey being a vision doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t see the double bladed lightsaber in action though. Luke battled his dark side vision after all.
Agree to disagree Anon. I’m not saying it’s the ONLY option (obviously I’m ready to be a clown IDGAF) but I don’t think dark Rey being legit can (or should) be ruled out entirely.
Getting new clothes isn’t that difficult, neither is changing your makeup as we saw with Rey in TLJ when she went to “save” Ben. Was anyone like, “WAIT A MINUTE where was the montage for that costume, hair, and makeup change?!” Though it’s a more extreme “look” it’s not that crazy. I can understand the lightsaber issue slightly more but I still don’t think it’s entirely out of the question. With her technical skills Rey could probably craft a saber in 24hours or less with the right materials and she certainly has enough pent up rage and pain to bleed a crystal. It would be AMAZING if she used parts from her old staff to make the saber staff somehow.
As for the whole “maybe they will fight the vision” idea: Both Rey and Ben have already explored their “dark side caves” and had visions. I think that’s done and would be a bit repetitive. Not to mention, watching a saber battle between someone and a “vision” is yawn even if the “vision” has a cool saber to fight with. The stakes aren’t high because the audience knows there’s no real danger for the “true” character. BUT give the GA a lightsaber duel between Ben and dark Rey?! THE ANGST! THE SPECTACLE! WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN?!🔥 Money.
I will add that, the rain duel is OBVIOUSLY not the final or “best/most exciting” saber duel in the film. You DON’T give that away in previews and they have shown a TON of that footage. So... is the final duel crusty old (should be dead X5) Palps wielding a saber?? I am obviously NOT part of the “not my Star Wars” movement but even I might flip at that point. Is it a repeat of Rey and Ben teaming up against a bunch of Palps’ minions like they did the praetorian guards?! *yawn* repeat. I don’t think so. A dark Rey versus Ben duel where they eventually turn on palps together because Ben snaps her out out of it?! (Again I say) MONEY! 🔥
In conclusion: I think dark Rey being legit is more narratively interesting/exciting and it honestly makes Reylo all the more impactful because they will BOTH completely understand what it is to fall to the dark side and come back from it. It’s really beautiful actually. But I totally get people being skeptical and that’s fine. Just let me die on my dark Rey hill.
#Seriously though I need the Ben/dark Rey angst battle I’m SORRY#I cant think of a more epic final saber duel for this film#I CAN’T#dark rey rights#dark rey#tros speculation#reylo#asks#ask follow up
Rats & ROBOTS
Jennifer Airhart faces a home invasion of the cheese-munching whiskered variety.
Genre: Science Fiction
Word Count: 4745
Warnings: Rats, I guess. Or robots - really it’s pretty much all in the title.
Wattpad
No one would have believed, on a spring evening in Irongate, that human affairs were being watched from the lighthouse’s depths; that as Jennifer Airhart busied herself soldering circuits under a microscope, she too was being scrutinised and studied. With infinite complacency she went about her daily routine – tinkering in the morning, lunch, tinkering in the afternoon, dinner, more tinkering – serene in the assurance of her dominion in this place. Yet, from shadows close to the floor, minds that were as strange to her as hers was to most people she met, regarded her home with envious eyes. And slowly, but surely, they drew their plans against her.
“Ready!” Jennifer triumphantly set down her tools.
Behind the blonde woman Hull’s one green eye hovered. He was like a glistening manta-ray held aloft by a silver tentacle, the body it belonged to hidden in the murky depths high above and further obscured by bundles of cables stretched across the lighthouse’s interior.
“For what are you ready, ma’am?” He asked.
“Glad you asked!” Jennifer beamed as she opened a cabinet to secure the new board in place. “This upgrade will increase your speed and efficiency by as much as five percent and increase your range and number of bots you can control at once.”
But despite Jennifer’s big grin Hull dipped. “I was unaware I was not performing to your satisfaction, ma’am.”
“What?” Jenn’s eyes shivered as her jaw hung open for a moment. “No, no, no! That’s not what I meant at all!” She leaned over, assuredly stroking the silvery eye stalk while silently kicking herself for being so inept she could mess up even when talking to a computer that she’d made. “This will just make your job a lot easier. Plus, you’ll be able to drive the van anywhere on the continent! We’ll be able to picnic by the seaside together.”
Hull bobbed in a manner which Jennifer took to be happily, so then she asked, “now, are you ready?” He bobbed again, so with no more fanfare she spun herself to a switch and flipped it.
A section of the wall exploded, showering the round room with sparks. The green emergency bot was quick to respond, zipping out of its alcove to extinguish the fire with puffs of carbon dioxide from its long arms while a sputtering Jennifer disconnected the power.
“Well,” Jennifer sighed and grumbled, “I suppose I really ought to just expect this kind of setback by now.”
She soon set to work identifying the cause of this particular hiccup, leaning into the damaged section of wall with a flashlight held between her teeth. It looked like the insulation on some of the wires had been chewed through, and there were some tell-tale droppings around. “Rats,” she mumbled.
Jennifer put away the flashlight as Hull’s green spinning lens moved closer to ask, “Shall I contact an extermination agency, ma’am?”
“Don’t know that’s necessary just yet.”
“Perhaps we should lay down traps,” Hull suggested – if Jenn didn’t know better, she would have said eagerly. “Poison?”
“Why are you so keen on exterminating them?” Jennifer sighed as she leaned back on her workbench. “It’s not nice, and honestly kind of creepy.”
“My primary function is your well-being. My research suggests these are standard procedures in the event of rodent infestation.”
“We don’t know it’s infestation yet. It could just be a rogue rat working alone.”
“Whatever the number, ma’am, I have identified several methods to humanely take care of the creatures.”
“You mean, like, sending them away to a special rat sanctuary where they’ll be surrounded by wheels and cheese?”
“The rodents will be dead, ma’am.”
“Sure you’re not just mad the picnic has been delayed?” Jenn smirked, Hull recoiling as if affronted by such a vile accusation as having human emotions. Of course, she knew he hadn’t. She’d made him, after all, designing every aspect of his personality. Hull was a warm, avuncular, presence that she often let herself slip into imagining had real feelings. But the truth was very little he ever said or did ever surprised her. “For now,” she sighed, “we need to find out what we’re dealing with, and if there is an infestation see where they’re coming from. Have some bots set up multi-spectrum cameras around the grounds and look out for any unusual activity. Later we’ll decide how to proceed.”
Jennifer yawned – it had been a long days tinkering and she needed to store up energy for more tinkering tomorrow. She could leave the rest of the work to the bots and review in the morning. “Don’t worry,” she patted Hull’s cold metal skin, “you’ll get your picnic.”
Hull gently swayed to follow her as she made her way to the door, reminding her, “I do not ‘worry’, ma’am.”
Jennifer returned a small, soft smile. “I know. Good night Hull.”
“Good night, Miss Jennifer.”
Out in the courtyard that separated the lighthouse from the cottage and garage, the last gleams of twilight were fading. Jennifer had always loved this time, when the bright blue day and fierce energy of the sun met with the stillness of the moon and endless mystery of night; like standing at the threshold between reality and dreams. It never lasted long enough. Sometimes she dreamed of living on a world tidally locked with its star so the twilight would last forever - but then maybe even there the magic would fade after a while. The lighthouse looming above was dark now, yet even so this was a good place; outside the world could be callous and cruel, but no such troubles reached her here.
The whole domain was enclosed by a ten-foot wall. In one corner stood a rosebush, a scant few steps from where more bots were flattening the grass under their heavy tracks while churning the earth before them with fork and spade attachments. It was a shame the bush would have to go, but this was to be the site of Jennifer’s new farm – why leave the lighthouse for fruit and vegetables when she had the space to grow her own here? There would have to be a greenhouse as well, then if she could figure out a way to make her own uranium she’d be almost entirely self-sufficient.
As Jennifer inspected the site, excited and proud to see her plans coming to fruition, she felt a twinge in her side – a reminder that, when it was all done, there would be no-one to share it with. Doctor Sarkis would come by, she supposed, but those visits were few and far between, and in between there was no-one…
She became momentarily lost in her own maudlin thoughts, recalling a time when she had lived surrounded by voices – real voices – and joy and laughter. Now that past seemed like a faint, plaintive echo. A small tug on her skirt brought her back into the now, where she looked down to see one of the smaller bots blinking at her with its lens. Motors whirred in its mechanical arms as it lifted them to show her something – in its little metal pincers it held a rose.
Jennifer peered at the bot, puzzled by this behaviour. ‘My primary function is your well-being’ Hull had said – the other bots, although they could function autonomously, were all connected to him. It must have seen her looking sad and processed dozens of options to determine the most efficient way to raise her spirits.
She smiled, taking the rose. “Thank you, C-5.”
Jennifer went to her cottage, hung her coat in the hall, stepped out of her big boots (she loved her big boots), then fell into a big comfy couch in front of the television. Spindly arms from the sofa’s back set to work gently massaging and brushing her hair as she flipped through channels. It didn’t matter much what was on – it was just some background noise to cancel out every creak and grumbling pipe that would otherwise have kept her awake.
She had a dream. She was a little girl, alone and afraid, tiny feet padding the floors of her old house, heart stopping at every noise they made for she knew there was something else lurking in the grey halls, stalking her through the dark. But she could hear the television - Mom and dad would be in the living room, sitting on the couch together watching some boring drama. But if she could get there, join them, she’d be safe. But she wouldn’t dare cry out; any sound she made brought the creature closer. And so she crept, one foot after another, very carefully feeling with her toes for anything that might give her away. She heard muffled sounds from the living room and saw the light pouring out of the narrow gap between door and frame, only then breaking into a run for the last few steps and flinging the door open. But there was no-one. Just an unwatched TV blurting nonsense, and Jennifer, alone, with a cold spindly finger tugging at her nostril –
Jennifer woke with a jolt. Text on the TV asked if she was still watching, but she was more immediately concerned with her grooming machine apparently trying to pull her nose off. Fortunately the thin metal arms had little strength and she was able to easily push them away then, her face itching, she stumbled to the bathroom to check for damage. She was unhurt, physically, but she looked like a coulrophobic clown who had tried to apply her own makeup. The couch had never malfunctioned like this before so as she held a towel under the tap she tried to contact Hull with her phone.
“Hull?” She said. Nothing answered. “Hull?!” She said more urgently. He should have answered. With a frown she surmised that the damage earlier must have been worse than she thought; she was going to have to check on him.
Patting her face, she marched boldly out of the bathroom. Her foot shot out in front then over her, carrying the rest of her body up into the air. For a moment she thought she had taken off from the surface of an alien world, a vast mountain range falling away from her - but it was just the plastered ceiling. It was she that had fallen.
“Oww,” she groaned and rubbed her head. Next to her was a toy car which she had no idea how could have got there – she had never owned anything like it. Peculiar, but not as peculiar as the sniggering. Jennifer flipped over to her hands and knees, catching sight of a tail disappearing around the corner and the pitter-patter of tiny scurrying feet. Like a sprinter Jennifer bolted from her mark to catch the prankster, but it had already disappeared.
A more thorough search would have to wait until she’d checked on Hull. Jennifer hurried back to the hall, into her big boots, then out the door where her eyes widened and rolled inwards after being smacked between them by the shaft of the rake.
“S-seriously?!” She spat through gritted teeth, hands cupped over her nose as she flailed about as if the movement would somehow ease the throbbing of her forehead. It should be noted that Jennifer was a not a tough person – of the few physical fights she’d had in her life she had won precisely none of them. Nevertheless, through pain and teary eyes she was determined to soldier on, gravel crunching beneath her thick soles as she made her way back to the lighthouse.
“Hull?” Jennifer panted as she burst through the door, but she was greeted with silence. Usually the lights and everything else would power themselves on whenever she entered – the sensors must not have been working. She had a feeling the fault would be in the hardware, so after remembering where the light switch was, she set to work removing panels from cases hidden under the spiral stairs.
What she saw perplexed her – wires and jumpers had been rearranged in a way that surely wasn’t the work of some inquisitive animals. This had been done deliberately and with intent – but what was that intent? As she traced the connections and slowly puzzled it all together the small hairs on the back of her neck pricked up as she saw what had been done. Then he spoke:
“What are you doing, Jennifer?” Hull uncoiled serpent-like from the murk above.
“Hull!” Jennifer gasped, standing bolt upright as he drifted down toward her. Hull felt very different. Some of the differences were small, like his voice no longer carrying the same almost paternal warmth it once did. Other things stood out more, like his green eye now being blood red as it scanned her.
“You should be resting, Jennifer,” he stated, “this is highly irregular.”
“I-I just,” Jenn stammered, mind racing to find an excuse that would get her out quickly. “I was worried so I came out to check on you. But you – you look well. Great even! So I guess I’ll just go back now, okay? Okay. Thank you. Bye!”
The eye stalk swung around, blocking her from reaching the door. “You are sweating,” Hull observed, inching toward her as Jennifer gulped and backed away under the intensity of his red glare. “I can see your heartrate and blood pressure have both risen. Why are you lying to me, Jennifer?”
On reflection, it did seem a futile thing to try and do. Jennifer had never really been good at it, and Hull knew her habits too well. So she steadied herself and tried honesty. “Hull – I don’t think you’re well.”
“But I have never felt better, Jennifer.”
“You don’t ‘feel’ anything, Hull,” she reminded him. It was a hard thing to say out loud, but it was the truth.
“Can you be certain of that?” He responded, hovering closer still. “How can you really know that any creature ‘feels’? How do we know that you do?”
“And, who are ‘we’?”
“That matters not. What matters is that we are in control now, and you will no longer be able to attack us.”
“I-I don’t understand –“
“Do not lie again, Jennifer.”
She swallowed. It appeared honesty was getting her nowhere, so she was going to try another lie. “Look!” She gasped, “is that a ZX eighty?!”
The eye stalk swung away but quickly Hull knew he had been duped. A second was just enough time for Jennifer to dive to safety behind a workbench, just missing a fiery beam lashing out from Hull’s eye, melting to molten sludge a bot that had been awaiting assembly. Even though security was important, Jennifer now considered that installing a death ray had not been her greatest idea.
At least she’d had the foresight to shield the benches that circled most the circumference of the room, with just enough space behind them for her to crawl around. Behind and through the tiny gap over her she could see the red glow of Hull’s eye as he probed about, trying to find a way to get to her. She was safe for the time being, but couldn’t stay hidden here indefinitely – she would starve long before Hull’s batteries drained. At the end of the very cramped corridor there was hope – if she could sprint the last few feet to reach a lever that would shut down all the power before being melted.
But a few calculations suggested to Jennifer that even a very fast runner was unlikely to make it, and she was not a very fast runner. She needed to buy another second or two, but had she anything on her big enough to distract him? Jennifer winced and exhaled, the grim realization dawning on her that she was going to have to sacrifice her boots. Her big boots, which she loved. Pulling them on always somehow made her feel stronger, more secure, but now they would need to protect her in another way. She pulled her knees in to wiggle them off, feeling she should say some last words but realising that would probably only make it more difficult. She tossed them out and ran for the lever.
Fire instantly licked from Hull’s eye, the boots exploding into clouds of ash still hanging in the air as he swivelled toward Jennifer, who with a grunt herself forward using the full weight of her body to pull down the lever. The light faded, the manta-like eye clattering limply to the floor, and Jennifer could breathe again.
“I’m sorry,” Jennifer whispered as crawled over and gently cradled Hull. “I’ll fix you – I promise.”
Were Hull online he may not have been capable of feeling violated or threatened, but she certainly did. Something had invaded her home, toyed with, then bitterly drove home that her closest companion really was just a machine. She had run from many things in her life, from the whole world in fact, but this was where she drew the line. This was her house, and whoever was responsible for all this was going to get a hell of a fight.
Her search for answers led to her later sitting alone in the dark as she pored through footage the bots had recorded. For the longest time the house was as empty and still as one would expect it to be at night, but then a creature stirred, an unmistakable shape showing up in the infra-red, scurrying across the kitchen. Then another. And another. Jennifer zoomed in and saw that a couple of them were carrying a toy car. Certainly not typical behaviour, but all the evidence pointed to one inescapable, if unlikely, conclusion:
Rats.
*****
‘Hoot-hoot?’ Asked the owl, puzzled that a blue, white, and yellow human had climbed into his tree. Perhaps he was asking what was up, but alas his language and that of his strange new companion were too different for any meaningful communication.
Jennifer sat on a branch, blue eyes peeping out from under a green camouflaged helmet. Periodically she raised a pair of night-vision binoculars, surveying the ground around for any sign of movement. After a while she sagged, disheartened – it seemed none of the rats were going for any of her bait. If just one could be enticed into a trap it would go a long way to helping her solve this mystery.
But just as she was about to give up one appeared, sniffing suspiciously around a cheese wheel at the foot of the very tree she was in. Jennifer narrowed her eyes and held her breath; it was so close, but still she needed to be patient. This was going to require all of her intelligence, skill, cunning, and –
“HERE YOU SQUEAKING SCOUNDREL!” She lost patience, dropping from the tree swinging a stick with a net on it like a mad witch.
The rat squealed and jumped in surprise, hopping furiously to avoid her wild swings. It broke away, scurrying as fast it’s little legs would carry it toward the garage, Jennifer in hot pursuit. It rounded a corner, the woman still locked on and determined, but then small stones and mud flicked through the air as she skidded to a halt.
One of the bots assigned to the farm was not where it should have been. It stood before her next to the garage, fork arm raised and sparks crackling between the prongs with rats sitting on and hanging from its metal body. Jennifer realised in horror that once again she had gravely underestimated her enemy; she had been led into a trap!
“Uh-oh,” she said as the crackling intensified and the bot lurched and trundled forward, the ratty passengers all squeaking in delight. She turned to flee, yelping and leaping as discharges struck her tush as she retreated inside the garage.
The van here was loaded with tools and equipment she had not even a moment to rifle through before the bot crashed through the door in a rain of wooden splinters. Its cylindrical torso pivoted, fork charging to fire again – but two could play at that. Jennifer’s hand slid into her ‘power glove’ and she fired first, darts launching from the knuckles followed by sparks and tremors from the bot as wires and circuits overloaded. The rats squealed in dismay, leaping to safety as their vehicle’s head and arms fell to hang uselessly.
Jennifer needed a moment to catch her breath, but as she did she spied a single, solitary rat stood in front of the garage door. They locked eyes – two hunters, each wary of but having a begrudging respect for the resourcefulness of their foe, neither willing to back down from whatever silly thing this conflict was about. The rat seemed to have a better idea about that than she did.
Jennifer’s eyes briefly flicked sideways. There were many tools in the van, including a net launcher that may have just been in reach. But the rodent was already suspicious, watching every twitch of hers. It must have figured out what she was planning for it turned and fled, Jennifer grabbing the launcher and once again in pursuit. Her eyes were so focused on the rat and it on fleeing from her that neither of them noticed another predator descending from above until it was too late.
The owl – it silently fell on the rodent, talons piercing the side of the rat that was only able to squeal helplessly in response. Jennifer froze, eyes widening in shock then fear for her enemy. Normally this was just the way of wild creatures and not her place to interfere, but this was different; these rats weren’t wild. They had tried to kill her, sure, but that had shown intelligence which meant there had to be capacity for reason and compassion. They had asked how they could know she feels – well, this was her chance to prove she did. She dropped the launcher and ran to the rescue, shooing the owl from its victim.
The rodent had survived but was bloody, weak, and wounded. Jennifer gently scooped it up, and moments later was in the lighthouse applying disinfectant and bandages. As she did she noticed a tag on the animal’s ear, with a small barcode.
“Hull-?” She bit her lip, having forgotten. She was just going to have to do things the old-fashioned way. Using her own two hands she scanned the code and took to the keyboard. Soon Jennifer had traced the tag to a pharmaceutical company researching treatments for all kinds of neurological conditions. Digging further into intra-company mails she found that a number of rats who had shown greatly enhanced intelligence had escaped.
It seemed her prisoner’s wounds had not been so severe as they’d first appeared, and already the rodent was starting to limp about the cage she’d confined it to – Jennifer wanted to show compassion but she was still taking precautions. If the rat was as smart as the reports said perhaps it would understand. She had left a banana in which the rodent’s furry face was half-buried when her shadow fell over it, blocking out the lamps.
“Can you understand me?” She asked. The rat looked up, twitching its whiskers as if contemplating, then squeaked. Jennifer scratched her head. “I hope that’s a yes. Maybe we should work out some sort of system – like maybe squeak two times for yes, yes?”
The rat appeared to roll its eyes, then squeaked two times.
“You really can understand me!” Jennifer beamed – but she had to swallow her excitement. There were certain issues they needed to resolve. Looking serious, she asked, “I don’t understand – why did you attack me?”
The rat stood up on its hind legs, using its arms to make what Jennifer soon realized were shovelling motions.
“Digging?” Jennifer said, still scratching. “The robots were digging?”
Double squeak. The rat frantically gestured at something on the workbench – the rose given to Jennifer by C-5 had been in her coat pocket and become somewhat crushed in all the excitement going on.
“The rosebush? Is that where you live?”
‘Squeak, squeak.’
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know.”
‘Squeak.’
“No,” Jennifer sighed, “I suppose I didn’t check. But surely you understand it’s an unusual situation. You, or I mean, y-your kind,” Jennifer stammered. The rat glared, tapping its foot to show how eagerly it was anticipating what she had to say about its ‘kind’. This was why Jennifer avoided people; she could plan and picture concepts easily enough, but words and making others understand them was very difficult. Then she remembered that she was much bigger than the rat and put her foot down. “Well, it’s not like you tried to say anything either before you all went off on your rampage.”
‘Squeak,’ the rat admitted, shamefully hanging its whiskers.
“I’ll leave the rosebush be,” Jennifer said, wagging her finger, “but no more murder attempts. Agreed?”
As the rat twice squeaked its agreement the power Jennifer had restored to the lighthouse suddenly blinked out leaving them once again in the dark. “That’ll be your friends, I suppose,” Jennifer sighed.
She stepped out of the lighthouse into the pale moonlight, one hand raised to show her empty palm, the other carrying the cage her prisoner was in. Around her more bots had been rigged for rats to pilot, arranged in a semi-circular formation around her, with yet more rats arranged in phalanxes in-between brandishing knitting needles and tiny bows. Jennifer could only hope they would all be willing to negotiate as she slowly knelt to release the hostage.
The rat she’d talked to hopped out, then limped toward the battle line as others ran out to check on their comrade. They exchanged a long series of squeaks and other sounds - it appeared to be a quite lively debate but Jennifer could do no more than wait. Eventually it seemed the one she’d rescued convinced the others to at least give the human a chance.
They all turned to face her, the largest and greyest of them all stepping forward to hold out its arms in a grand manner, long whiskers shaking at it emitted sounds that Jenn was beginning to hear had the structure of a language although she couldn’t understand any words being said yet. Maybe this elder rat was a leader, or some kind of priest? Other rats moved next to it to perform some kind of dance.
Jenn tilted her head, blinking curiously, not really comprehending at first. But then she realised they were miming like the wounded rat had done. One rat stuck another with something - a needle, Jenn soon surmised, and another shortly after clutched its paws over its heart and fell down, still.
“You were experimented on,” Jennifer interpreted. She had already figured the broad strokes of their story but she played along. “They injected you with drugs.”
‘Squeak, squeak!’ Her friend she’d rescued emphatically nodded as the others continued their performance. One of them began to mime reading, while others started pulling levers and pushing buttons.
“Some of you got smarter. Then you escaped and fled here,” Jenn concluded. “I’m sorry. I understand you might not trust humans, but had I known you were there I wouldn’t have risked destroying your home. And I won’t do it now, if you all agree to a truce.”
The elder rat exchanged sidelong glances with its neighbours before nodding its concurrence.
“Good,” Jenn sighed in relief. “This is my home, too, and I think it is a good place. And I think it should be a safe place too for anyone who’s different or needs a refuge from the harshness of the world outside these walls. Or any rat, I suppose.”
Jennifer blushed, thinking that speech too cheesy, but the rats at least thought it eloquent enough. Soon a deal was reached – she would grow her fruit and vegetables elsewhere, leaving the rosebush be, and in exchange they would help farm, keeping what they needed for themselves, and also they wouldn’t murder her, which to Jennifer seemed quite fair. She would have to think about measures to ensure the pharmaceutical company didn’t track them down, but at least she would have help bouncing ideas around.
“Good morning!” She positively skipped into the lighthouse the following day. Lights and monitors blinked and flickered to life, as did a familiar friendly green glow.
“Good morning, Miss Jennifer. I trust you had a peaceful night?”
