okay for aftg, my favorite character is probably neil!!! just bc, like, something really drew me to him. i wanted him to survive more than i wanted gansey to survive (which is a big deal, you’ll see why in my trc explanation omfg). like, throughout the series, i kinda did love all the foxes??? like they were all flawed, some worse than others, but i still loved all of them. but neil,,,, i just felt for him So Much. also kevin became a fave once i finished the series, and i love nicky, and allison can hit me with her car and i’d thank her.

riko can choke in hell.

and for trc!!! gansey is, without a doubt, by a LANDSLIDE, my favorite character from anything ever. i just relate to him so much for So Many Reasons. i understand his fears and his strive to do something great and feeling like he can’t complain bc he has it better than most and feeling so Alone sometimes, even when he is surrounded by his friends. i understand his frustrations with wanting to help people but being unable to. i understand him so much and, honestly, if what was said in the first book actually happened to him in trk, it would’ve destroyed me. i just feel so much for gansey and i understand him So Much (i mean, my main blog is actuallygansey omfg). i almost bought boat shoes bc i love him so much. you’ll never catch me in a polo shirt, tho.

and i’m so scared that, if we ever actually get this trc show, all the people who just watch the tv show are gonna hate gansey bc of his privilege but!!! his privilege is an integral part of his character!!! he feels like he can’t be unhappy bc of his privilege and he wants to use his privilege to help people but he doesn’t quite understand that people (like adam, for instance) want to make their own fortune and!!! gansey’s privilege is sorta like a fatal flaw in a way??? it’s a part of him that he can’t quite shake off of him but he kinda hates it, not in a way where he’s like “ugh i’m rich, no one understand me, etc etc etc,” but in the way that he wants to help everyone but can’t, he feels like he can’t be unhappy bc all of his friends have it worse, and he has just been swallowed by a repressive lifestyle but, if he complains, he feels like he’s ungrateful bc there’s people like adam and ronan who have been through hell and back. and he wants to help adam so much!!! and tbh i understand why gansey was frustrated w/ adam for not accepting his help, and i had to detach myself from gansey for a moment to understand adam. and aaaAAAA gansey means so much to me and i’m so scared that people are going to hate him.

and also i really understand bc i completely understand acting all chill and casual in group settings but, the moment you’re alone with that one person, you let down all your walls and are just exhausted. what’s the quote??? “broken, just how girls like ‘em”??? what a mood.

i just. i love gansey so much. and he loves his friends so much and they love him too!!! and i’m so happy that he’s currently on a road trip with his girlfriend blue and his boyfriend henry and they kiss All The Time :’)

1. why did you choose your url?

why did i choose this url? i saved the url way before i made the blog, and the reasoning is a bit foggy but i do remember wanting to be very clear on it being a drarry blog (makes the anon who sent me the ‘why do u rb so much drarry’ ask that much more hilarious) and added the ‘oh’ because it expresses a certain sentiment that most drarry shippers are intimately familiar with 😂

2. sideblogs?

this blog is itself a sideblog, my main is @yesperfahey . that said, i am going to be embarrassingly exposed, but:  @kitchenism (aesthetic sideblog where i rb reference photos, aesthetic images, web weaving posts, etc.), @geetstudies (studyblr), @yusufalkasayni (for films/tv shows, it was supposed to inspire me to watch more stuff but it’s languishing inactive mostly), @doriangray (dark academia, classics, pretty edits + moodboards + occasional fashion inspiration, etc.), @psykhes (mythology), @andrewminyyard (for aftg and trc) and @stevenroguers (for marvel and stucky). i have a few others but they aren’t particularly relevant or active and i don’t want this to go on forever.

i think about 5/6 years.

yes!!! it’s potteresqueue !! i have a separate queue tag for every single one of the blogs you’ve seen up top but this one is one of my favourites. 

5. why did you start your blog?

i started my main because tumblr was the fandom hub and i was neck deep in drarry as a teenager, but this specific sideblog happened when i started segregating my interests into separate blogs and wanted to be more active specifically in the drarry fandom. 

6. why did you choose your icon?

it’s a picrew of me from my favourite picrew!! it’s too slytherin from back when i thought i was a slytherin and i might change the colours a little to fit the ravenclaw vibe better, but the slightly grumpy lesbian is here to stay <33 

7. why did you choose your header?

i searched up drarry headers and this was one of the first ones i found. i think i’m going to change it, because while it does fit the aesthetic of my blog, i’m all about desi!harry. much as i love dan radcliffe, he’s stopped being the harry i imagine in my head. 

8. post with most notes?

this one which is surprising, because i posted it,,,, two days ago, i think? people seem to enjoy me writing fluff, who would’ve thought. i’m not a big blog and i don’t create a ton of original content on tumblr, so it’s not objectively a ‘big post’ but it makes me happy either way to know a bunch of people chose to spend their time reading what i had to say <33 

9. how many mutuals do you have?

tumblr’s system for checking this is... very basic and full of holes so i have no idea but i get very excited whenever an url i recognise likes/reblogs/comments/tags me in anything, so if you’re a mutual, then please know i cherish you deeply and you make my day whenever i see you in my notifs <33

tumblr hides this for a reason, i choose to not share this <3

520. i used to follow upwards of 900, but i purged many inactive blogs a few months ago so we’re at 520. 

12. ever made a shitpost? not with that specific intention, i don’t think, but the #geets.txt tag on this blog and others feels plenty shitpost-y to me.

😬  i’m... very online. tumblr is my safe space on the internet and i spend a great deal of time on here with little regret.

i don’t think so? i’ve got a couple rude anons, but those don’t count, right? there was a whole Situation on my main once upon a time, but i stay pretty chill on this one and i hope it stays that way. 

15. how do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?

i choose to ignore that line if it’s there. if i agree with the message and think it’s an important one to have on my blog, then i reblog, but if it’s a post that’s either fishing or guilt-tripping or being threatening, then i scroll past. i understand where the sentiment comes from but there’s a better way to phrase these things.

Hope 2021 is great for you! Random question: You’re part of so many different fandoms and TRC is my first and only one so far LOL. I’m curious – how is TRC different from some of the others, in your experience?

hi! 👋 this is a very interesting question actually! i am and have been in a variety of fandoms, both here on tumblr and in other platforms (some of those don’t even exist today anymore!) and, well, i just love sharing my love for the stories and characters that mean so much for me!

in my experience, the trc fandom is big enough to be worth interacting but small enough that you don’t get swallowed by the mob. i arrived late for the party, as i only read the books in late 2018, when there wasn’t a confirmation that the dreamer trilogy would be a thing and the main books were long since published. so a lot of people, some of the authors of the most popular fics in the fandom, had already left when i got here. still, there’s new fics being published daily. not so many that i can’t keep up, but enough that i can do a round up of the new stuff a couple times a month to fill my marked for later pages. it’s the fandom i’ve been the most active ever, so i have like mutuals and stuff. i’ve written 16 different works in here already so i can recognise a lot of people’s usernames when they leave a kudo or a comment in my works. it’s the first fandom ever in which i ship the most popular couple, so that helps me keep engaged. 

i was briefly part of the hp fandom. briefly as in for like 6-8 months? i’ve had a funny relationship with hp during the years and i actually remember reading a pirated translated pdf of the seventh book back when it came out but i was never big into it. a couple years ago i read this fic bc of a rec in @captainkirkk‘s blog bc i knew the original material and i love the tropes, and suddenly i started reading hp fic. one day, i had an idea for an hp fic. i started writing it and publishing it on ao3. i didn’t know the hp fandom was that huge. there’s lots of people publishing new content every day (your fic will go to the second and third pages of ao3 in a matter of hours, and people still read and comment a lot AND do so months after the thing is finished). it’s amazing, really, compared to a fandom so small comparatively as trc is. but i didn’t stay long enough to find a way to wiggle into the fandom—it’s just too big. i still have my inbox filled with updates for amazing wips that i binge read when i get the hp mood back but it’s just too huge for me.

i’m a casual fan in other fandoms. i follow a bunch of shingeki no kyojin blogs here but i don’t read that much fic anymore (people in that fandom have generally different interests than mine so the works published don’t align with what i want to read). i’ve recently read a lot of the umbrella academy fic but i don’t create content myself. i used to follow lots of owari no seraph blogs and i even wrote a fic for that fandom, but the anime only got two seasons back in 2015 and the manga has taken turns lots of people don’t like, so here in tumblr that one is mostly a ghost fandom that only resurrects for a day at the beginning of each month. back in the day the once upon a time was big on ff.net and i used to read a lot of fic but i was super shy to talk to people so i never got to feel part of the fandom. my sister tells me the detective conan fandom is mostly active on twitter (as most anime fandoms are) but i mostly ignore that and will sometimes browse into these forums they have where they discuss plot theories. there’s lots of fics but also not really what i’m looking for so i don’t really read a lot in that fandom.

i’d say the aftg fandom is the most similar to the trc fandom, because they’re mostly the same people. we still get stunning fan art and great fic and have active blogs to follow, but it’s a small enough community that you can get to know people and make friends. it’s just cozy. like home. and i love it here.

3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year

2019 is the year i rejoined fandom! i grew up reading and writing harry potter fanfic, took many-years break, and came back in january 2019, post-break-up, for the raven cycle and all for the game. so it’s really been a year of learning how to write again, learning how i like writing. it turns out i really like one-sentence paragraphs. here are some examples i can think of, i guess i do this style a lot, which i do unapologetically.

Something tugged inside Ronan and he stomped outside. He made his way towards the first field and just started walking, jacket forgotten, boots sliding easily through wet grass, skylight dimming, his breath coming out in shudders like smoke, and at some point Opal had come running out of a hedge or a tree or a rock, had run rings around him, had shown him all the stones she’d found that she thought looked like her opal, and he’d nodded, had accepted a stone in cold dry fingers, had felt it in his palm all rough texture against rough texture, had watched her bobbing head as she exhausted herself against the day, had looked at the wet grass curled around his boots, at the line of trees curling at the foot of the hill, at the dissipating clouds in the paling orange sky.

When Adam woke up it was to tight skin and dreams of his father towering above him, Adam on the ground, please stop please stop please stop and his left ear ringing – he touched it, vacant, elsewhere; it was to loud warring voices in his head and him, frowning, and not opening his eyes as he thought I overreacted, Gansey wasn’t saying – but also – I am broken and he knows he knows he doesn’t want me to break him too – and he swung a leg out of bed, and then the other, eyes still closed, and thought – I really don’t think that’s what he meant, this isn’t fucking logical Adam – but also ­– but ok we do know I’m manipulative and selfish and weren’t those the exact qualities Gansey’s afraid of – and then he opened his eyes and his skin was crawling and his father was walking towards him and he just wanted it to stop and he imagined smashing a glass into a wall and wished for a split second it was his father’s face, no, he wished it was his face – it was a little your fault, wasn’t it Adam? – and then he opened his eyes, stared, a little stunned, blood on his knuckles and the bathroom mirror shattered, glass dripping into the sink, and from somewhere far away Daniel’s voice, “Adam?”

“I don’t need protecting, and you promised to stop that bullshit a long time ago. Do you understand or do I need to repeat myself?”

              There’s a couple of birds flying overhead, their calls to each other just loud enough to filter through the pounding in his head, and it sounds like the sky is singing, and then he can hear waves too, crashing against the sand he’s standing on, and it’s like he’s trapped in a soundscape that he hadn’t been listening to before – or maybe wasn’t able to hear – but suddenly it snaps back to him with a jolt of colour, and noise, and the understanding that he’s barely awake, that he’s standing right where his mother died, screaming at someone he doesn’t want to live without.

so, yeh, there’s that. but also here is a favourite single line i can think of, from (trc) sunlight:

This speech had been made to the sky, and Adam spent a while after he’d finished speaking wondering at the appropriateness of that. That someone the scale of Ronan could only fit into something as infinite and wondrous as the sky.

15. something you learned this year

ah man. idk. i spent a lot of this year digesting my own mental health / general life woes by reading and writing fanfic. so something i’ve learned. maggie s said in a writing seminar you can’t write about a problem you have if you haven’t solved it yet. i think about this a lot. i think about writing adam parrish grappling with the concept of anger, thinking of himself as a monster he can’t escape; neil josten unable to admit something’s wrong, unable to take the first steps in fixing what’s wrong in his brain chemistry. idk. maybe i was able to write these stories because i have, at least partly, dealt with my own issues with the concept of anger, with taking a step forwards in seeking help. maybe it’s because i’m in fandoms where we fucking love talking about our problems. which i think is a really really good thing. or maybe il reread these two stories in a few years’ time and think “hoo boy she really was still in the thick of it and had no idea eh”.

this was supposed to be what have i learned. i have learned that:

it is ok to use writing fanfic as a way to learn about yourself; but it can’t be everything

it is ok to use reading fanfic as a way to feel your emotions safely; but it can’t be everything

be yourself! that is what i have learned. the rest will follow.

24. favorite fic you read this year

my gosh well that’s not fair because i’ve read essentially the entire backlog of the trc and aftg top hits this year and then some. however, these are the ones that stuck out, that i’ll keep going back to (ignoring like the five you’ve all already read anyway):

(the raven cycle) Like Storms: this fic man… selectively mute adam meets gansey and ronan at college, and they in turn meet ghost!noah in a church and… i dont know my heart just Did Not Cope. i don’t know how to explain how special this one is, except to really emphasise that i spent this year really only reading fanfiction, and this is the one i’m choosing to recommend.

(harry potter) Away Childish Things: this broke me. it’s basically an excuse to have harry and draco deal with their traumas by meeting the younger version of each other, and figuring out shit they should have figured out already. it’s, genuinely, one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever read.

(all for the game) we might be hollow: im going to cheat and very quickly give you this, possibly my favourite long fic? neighbours au, and, stunning, i just remember the pacing was perfect and i felt like *a lot*. BUT im sorry can i also just very quickly shove this in your face. paper skies: favourite short, hands down, no contest. absolutely gorgeous short piece about andrew’s favourite colour, and how he uses it to search for meaning in his life. i’ve read this one so many times.

fic meme 1-100: andreil + 32. “I’m in love with you and I’m terrified.”

Late into the night, it creeps up on you in the least expected of ways - much like how the fingers of a breeze passes by the back of your neck, but you didn’t know the window was open in the first place. Or if there were windows in the room at all.

You struggle with the thought in the wee hours of the night. You stare up at the ceiling, wondering if there is any merit to… whatever it is that you’re feeling right now. The night crickets do nothing but contribute to the noise. Most people who have been in your situation would call you stupid.

At this point, you’d probably agree with them.

You wonder if it’s because it has never happened to you before. The life of a runaway gives no time or space for anything deeper into the human experience. Survival has eaten up all your expectations of what it’s like to have a normal life. Ice lines your veins, mostly because your mother has never been good with handling anything that burned.

Except you are so drawn to the fire behind those hazel eyes. How he’s able to pour gasoline down the lines that matter and ignite them to let you know. The many times he’s coaxed more than mere steam out of you.

This time around, you are learning that your mother has never prepared you for this force of nature.

Staring at the ceiling, you exhale all your worries and let the night take over. You have a game to play tomorrow, and your overthinking clutters the rooms in your head. Still, your mind remains in maximum overdrive. It is incredibly difficult to accept a day is over when you clearly aren’t. 

You think about the key pressed into your palm. How the ridges against your skin have said more than you could ever begin to understand. You think about the roof, how it is the place where you both get to stare out at the city and be bigger than your selves. You think about how honesty is the only language he’s ever wanted to connect to you with. How the truths that have been traded have made all the difference, both in your world and in his.

I’m in love with you, and I’m terrified. 

Even your own mind has trouble taking apart the syllables for what they really are. You’ve been Neil Josten long enough for you to know that love is not to be feared, but the feeling knocks into the whole of your system anyway. For a moment, your entire body is paralyzed with the weight of the realization.

You wish he understands that the fear isn’t in him liking you back, but rather, it is in the possibility that this might all change. It is a big step in a wayward direction to let the truth out, more so to expect– to want him to do anything about it.

You wish he sees that you are giving yet another part of yourself to him. This time, it is the part that you’ve only held out for your mother because she’s given you everything else. It is the one good part of you, or so you think. The part untouched by a father who only knew how to shame and be ashamed. 

You wish he lets you admit it to yourself first before taking it as a confession to him. The both of you have always moved at a speed dictated by the reigns of both your pasts, but it is not hard to imagine him faulting you and your issues for a possibly harmful present. In this moment of introspection under the covers, your soul has chosen not to leave you yet, but you can already see it departing you to avoid hearing his clipped, dismissive reply.

But that was the thing with him, wasn’t it? How he only dismisses when he sees no purpose woven into the action, no merit pulsing in the words. You think, maybe your truth wouldn’t just be any drop in the ocean. Maybe it would be the one to change the course of the tides. Maybe the clouds in the sky will move aside to let the sun take a peek. Maybe the waters will settle down to a level of peace only the both of you know.

You take this hope in your hands and want to keep it safe. You hold it next to your heart, and close your eyes.

You dream, and it is the one you didn’t see coming.

Spencer is just... a f**king tw*t...

This is actually going to be good because I can see visually where all my projects are instead of having a billion different lists ok. This could get long. 5) A non-fandom commish for a long time commissioner for an opening/closing title page for his podcast....this is one of the things I have been putting off to work on number 3 >.>

I’m working with the commissioner’s rpg characters and the world in which it’s set which is SUPER cool, but also there’s SO MUCH freedom It’s kind of intimidating and it makes me freeze up whenever I think about working on it so THAT S NOT VERY FUN. but I got some good progress done on a page yesterday so there’s hope for this weekend.

7)  I sketched out a couple things based on this post >.> by @fabbittle So I kinda hope to finish that this weekend but I mean look at the rest of what I’ve got going on haaaahaha so who knows. 8) Uhhhhhh I’ve got a sketchpage (2 actually??) of some characters that Idk I felt ‘em for a while but now I’m not entirely sure if I liked the trajectory i had so I might want to revisit. but it was like. a Catholic-raised, trans, werewolf photographer (read: complete self insert), a park ranger, and a medical examiner and like they’re good sketches, I like where the character designs were headed but idk shit about story. 9) A LONG TIME AGO I was planning on doing some mock magazine illustrations and layouts about my fam’s (fam = myself, gf, & our partners) homestead kinda thing...like the ideas are still good, I still like them, so once this summer calms down (got the above listed projects, top surgery, a trip out west, etc. lots of things going on) I would like to revisit those. 10) A LONG LONG time ago (idk like a year and half maybe 2 lol) I was working on a tarot deck. I have more sketches than these two but: The Fool The Magician And then there’s the list of things that I kind of count as works in progress because I think about them a lot. This is my “To Draw” list. 1. Coke or Pepsi: I don't actually dislike cola any more, but I also don't drink it enough to have an opinion or be able to tell the difference.  Anyway, I'm white so I can hand anything to a cop and be okay :p

2. Disney or Dreamworks: I can't tell if Dreamworks actually hasn't made anything good lately, or if knocking Dreamworks has just become a meme.  But their old stuff was good.  Disney always makes a few really good things, and then a lot of dreck.  But I kind of resent them from keeping anything from passing into the public domain, as long as their lawyers have money.

3. Coffee or Tea: I probably drink more coffee per day, but tea is the one I have opinions about.  I drink coffee with a lot of milk and am just looking for something that doesn't taste nasty; tea we keep a lot of varieties of and pick based on how we're feeling.

4. Books or Movies:  In the abstract I tend to prefer books, but I enjoy both.  

5. Windows or Mac: I typically prefer Apple stuff and my primary computer will probably always be a Mac.  But it is one of my someday goals to build a PC to act as a media/game center.  

6. DC or Marvel: I'm not that invested but I think there's more Marvel stuff I like.

7. X-box or Playstation: I've always had Playstation consoles but I have nothing in particular against the XBox line that I know of.

8. Dragon Age or Mass Effect: I stopped playing DA:I when I learned Cassandra was straight and I've never had access to the ME line of games.  But I'd still give this to ME since my partner loves them and he's showed me hilarious stuff from them.  

9. Night Owl or Early Riser: I really enjoy being up late, sleeping, and being up early, so I think my chronotype is officially "gets all her sleep in a time machine".  But when I was really little I was a super early riser and I wouldn't be surprised if my body eventually shifts back toward that.

10. Cards or Chess: There's a running joke about me hating chess but I'm not that into card games either.  

11. Chocolate or Vanilla: Chocolate for most purposes but my test of an ice cream brand is whether or not they can make a really good cream or vanilla.

12. Vans or Converse: I haven't really found either to be supportive enough for me to wear.

13. Lavallan, Trevelyan, Cadash, or Adaar: Apparently this is a DA thing?

14. Fluff or Angst:  I don't really like either if it's just that and no plot.  But I guess I'd go with fluff because lately I don't like even very good media that are just All About Pain.    

15. Beach or Forest: Forest, but the beach can be beautiful too.

16. Dogs or Cats: I prefer cats but dogs are pretty great.  If I had a giant house with a big yard I'd give my cat his own personal army of large dogs to ride into battle.

17. Clear Skies or Rain:  I've lived somewhere really rainy for eight years and I loved it, especially since I'm light sensitive and sunburn super easily, but lately I've been really into clear skies for weird psychological reasons.  (OK, not that weird: someone I care about a lot passed away and then we kept having storms and rain.)

18. Cooking or Eating Out: I make the majority of the food we eat, and lately I've been trying to spend more of our food budget on good food to cook and less on going out to eat, but there's a great food scene here so I really do enjoy going to restaurants and food carts.  

19. Spicy Food or Mild:  I like it when the person at the spice store is like "it scares me that you're buying this"

20. Halloween/Samhain or Solstice/Yule/Christmas: Christmas is my favorite holiday.  My family tends to come together and most of us have time off from work to spend together, and then we get to both give and receive presents, and the cookies are good.  Kids don't come by where I live and I was never into Halloween parties, so Halloween kind of fell off after I got too old to trick or treat myself.

21. Little too cold or little too hot: Little too cold -- but lots too hot.

22. Superpower: There are others that would do more good in the world but for myself, flight or time travel.

23. Animation or Live Action: There are a lot more live action things than animated things, so it seems unfair to compare them.

24. Paragon or Renegade: Like I said I haven't played ME so I never had to pick.  In general, I usually want to play evil as amoral/practical, and way too many games instead present save puppies vs kick puppies, which pisses me off.  Also, when it seems like you're picking good for less reward vs evil for more, but you KNOW that good gives you a better reward down the line, it really saps the meaningfullness of the choice.

25. Bath or Showers: On a daily basis showers are way more practical.  I do like a nice bath now and then especially if my muscles are achy, but our tub isn't really deep enough to get comfortable.  Also I get bored in the bath and have to listen to music or something.  

26. Team Cap or Team Ironman: No, you move!  Which is weird because I otherwise find Iron Man a way more interesting character.

27. Fantasy or Sci-Fi: Lately I've been picking up more sci fi but I don't have a hard preference.

28. Fav Quotes: I could make a post at least this long with random quotes I like.  

29. Youtube or Netflix: They fill pretty different roles though I know YouTube is trying to get into the business of movies/tv and original content.  

30. Harry Potter or Percy Jackson: Harry Potter was a generational thing, Percy Jackson came out after I was too old for it.

When I Feel Accomplished: When something works out, particularly if I get praise for something I've been trying very hard to do.  Lately I got praise for my coding style and was told that I'm personable and easy to work with, and both of those made me really happy because I've been putting particular effort into them.  

32. Star Wars or Star Trek: There's a special place in my heart for the original SW trilogy but there's much more of the Star Trek verse that I'm into.  

33. Paperback Books or Hardback: I usually buy paperbacks because they're cheaper and easier to carry around, but really beautiful hardbacks are cool as art objects, and more durable.

34. A world without literature or music: Would probably mean some fundamental change in the psychology of humans.  Even dictatorships tend to have state-produced art to use to control the people.  I don't think it's sustainable to have humans and not have some of them trying to make art.  

35. Who was the last person to make me laugh: My cat being cute.  Are you gonna tell him he's not a person?

36. Sour or Sweet Candy:  Sweet, I've never gotten the point of sour candies.

37. Believe in aliens?: There is probably some form of life somewhere but I have no reason to believe it's interacted with or been exposed to us.

38. Dawn or Dusk: Probably dawn, but I see a lot more of dusk.

39. Piercings or Tattoos:  I see more people with a lot of tattoos that I think look good, than people with a lot of piercings that I think look good, but that is my personal aesthetics and obviously nobody made that choice to appeal to me.  I have pierced ears and want to get a (particular) tattoo on either my wrist or ankle someday but it keeps getting pushed down the priority list.

40. Girls? Hot?: Is this a choice or a song reference or ...?

41. Snow or Fog: I have a thing about snow because snow shut my city down repeatedly over the winter to a downright embarrassing extent and it probably accelerated the wear on my car.  In a city with decent infrastructure I'd dig snow.  Fog is pretty until you have to drive in it.

42. Sleep facing the wall or room: I share a bed so I always sleep facing the outside of the bed, I don't care which side I'm on.

43. TRC of AFTG: All Google tells me is this is some series I've never heard of

44. Horror or Drama: In terms of movie classifications, drama.  But again it's much broader.

45. Orcarina of Time or Majora’s Mask: I haven't played either, the only Nintendo products I ever had were DSes

46. Living in nature or city: I think about this a lot, nature appeals to me but I can't actually handle living in a remote area.  

47. Any addictions: TBH this is a weird question to put on a lighthearted quiz, like it's written only expecting caffeine and "lol this fandom pairing" answers but it's actually very personal information?

Languages:  English natively.  Still pretty good at Japanese though I'm a bit shy about actually using it any more.  I can passively understand some Mandarin but I don't tend to speak it myself because I probably couldn't keep up with a conversation.  (Though I feel like a donk because people speak Mandarin around me a lot and I feel like they should know I understand like 60% of their conversation?)  French and Latin didn't really stick at all.  I can discuss who's making the coffee/tea in Korean and I'm trying to learn more, it's a goal of mine to get in a real class when I'm out of grad school.

49. What music do I listen to: I draw from a bunch of different genres, the core ones are probably indie rock, k-pop, and electronic. Then I tend to be picky about which artists I actually like.  Since I got a streaming account I've been enjoying trying out a lot of new stuff.

50. Fav mythical creature: uh do mindflayers count?

51. Safe zone: My apartment I guess?  That's where I can change into sweatpants and not feel self-conscious so let's go with that.

52. First fandom: I think it was Utena.  That was definitely the first one I was really into and old enough for the internet for.

53. Cartoons or Adult Shows: No matter how you define cartoons there's way more "adult shows" than that, unless maybe you mean "adult" shows, in which case this question gets even odder.

54. Current music: Dishwasher Noises by My Old Tiny Dishwasher.  It's an ambient classic AND gets most of the dishes mostly clean.
