hm. it does really suck to me that a vulnerable disorder like DID has become a breeding ground for such nastiness. u go into spaces looking for resources to get better and it's full of people insisting others are faking and why. what's odd is that recommended treatment for the disorder is what gets fakeclaimed, so you're expected to heal in private? it's actually really lonely and isolating never being able to talk about what's going on inside u because u risk people being cruel if you're too open about it, and it's a very vulnerable thing to be open about, so u get beaten down during moments of vulnerability which kind of reinforces the whole disorder to begin with.

i thought i could also add the layer of blitzo beeing too drunk to reply properly which is another reason for the texts to seem so cold

okay um tryna lock back in now, i've got a couple notes:

so overall, this game was VERY if-y. it had some good moments, but the storyline was super unstable and it felt like they didn't really know what they were doing while writing it.

I liked the concept of a multi-versal murder mystery, but once they drifted away from that and started spiralling into the weird Super-Safi storyline it got kinda confusing to follow along

I truly think they had a really great idea with this game, but the weak plot-twists and boring storyline absolutely bombed it. (I guess you could say that the only murderer in this "murder mystery" was the game's plot killing itself)

I also think it had a really lovely messege about overcoming trauma, and I liked how they treated Max's PTSD with the storm (plus her heartbreak from Chloe was actually well handled, which was a huge concern for me when I heard abt it). I think her Dark Room trauma was treated kinda weird bc of the time vortex thing but honestly that was more of a plot-clarity issue over a conceptual problem.

At the beginning, I was HEAVILY judging the music. Maybe my tastes have changed in the past month or sum but now the music isn't that bad (I still HATE the intro song tho) and I actually like the new vibe this game brought to the LiS world. It was def different from the OG LiS game but I feel like thats a good thing since a huge portion of this game is proving that Max isn't that same teenager anymore. She's changed, the world around her changed, and so her new game is a reflection of that.

Also, the cat content... I LOVED customizing the cat, but I thought the add-on was gonna be more obvious and didn't even realize that I had missed the actual content until I went into the trophies menu after playing lmfao😭😭

I have like a million more comments abt this game but I feel like I got all my major stuff out already so I'm gonna stop rambling lol. I still have my pricefield rant/analysis i'm working on and I'll probably make some small comments while I platinum the game but this is it for my live-blogs !! i’m so happy :D. i’ve watched ballad twice this week. the second time i watched it w my brothers i didn’t have anything to say about it bc i was mostly just on edge about not getting kicked out of the theatre but since i teased a breakup over this Boyfriend was on his best behavior so i actually got to watch the movie without anyone asking a million question a scene. in related news we have another lucy gray truther on our side. here are some of my thoughts

1. tom blyth opening screen …. i still got jumpscared seeing him in the nude

2. the way they pronounce lucy grays name still catches me off guard. i’ve been ignoring the “i” completely and just say “bard” in my head (yk bc she’s The Bard). with that being said i know the mayor was in like 2 scenes but i think he did a really good job picking out lucy grays name he looked crazy

3. hunter schafer is my eyebrow inspo. also i’ve mentioned this before w the bathing suits having a 1920s and 50s vibe but she’s giving 1940s to me. but obviously glamor 1940s not war ridden 1940s

4. watching this w someone who hasn’t read the book is so enjoyable. when lucy gray dropped the snake down mayfairs shirt Boyfriend got SO tense “waitwait did she just try to fuckin murder her??” god forbid women do anything

5. okay sorry but the first time i watched it i was trying not to smile (in a laugh-y way) when lucy grays singing part came on. when i read it i thought that part ate but actually seeing it was so different for some reason. i think this feeling might be amplified if you’ve never read the book bc my sister felt the exact same way she said it was kinda fuckin cringe. idk if it was just bc we were at home or she was just feeling silly but she started singing that one camp rock song that’s like “we can’t back down.” which ok yeah that was kinda lucy grays song in a nutshell but it kinda did piss me off bc the “you can kiss my ass!!!!” part was coming on soon and i was stressing over them missing it. also didnt lucy gray have a full on dance break in the book?? god. they should have kept that in

6. okay that scene where she bowed and d12’s nasty ass coal industry being in the background is still one of my fav scenes. ugh loved it

7. wovey idk what it was this time but when she was like “im rlly good at climbing” i almost burst into tears. guys she’s really good at climbing

9. speaking of the reading vs watching thing i mentioned earlier: it rlly jumped out with grandmaam. idk why but when i was reading it grandmaam was SO scary and intimidating to me but watching her so frail and skinny and slightly senile talk about how lucy gray is a killer just seemed so crazy. especially since we know snow believes her

10. “they’re gonna get bombed aren’t they” wtf i walk into every movie clueless how are ppl straight up predicting entire events. but again w the reading vs watching i was GAGGED when they got bombed in the book but in the movie it seemed weird?? like “get the camera on her” and then it just feels like they’re trying to take up space until the actual bombs land. but whatever im being so bitchy i wasn’t surprised bc i literally knew it was gonna happen

13. okay seriously why did they cut out the kiss… and then when they actually did kiss why did they have lucy gray pull away at first…… i know francis lawrence saying this was a love story was icky but he did a bad job at portraying that so maybe we were worried for nothing (jk we were worried for all the right reasons bc if i had a nickel for every time someone said “i thought they were gonna get married!” about lucy gray and snow i’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice). also not to be a hater but snowbaird fans actually fucking irritate me. like the fans that are like “but what if it was wholesome 🥺🥺” what if lucy gray tried to kill him and he tried to kill her back? what if he managed to track her down and she bit him again? what if they hate each other so much that they’re only together bc they wanna see the other person suffer? what then

14. tbh seeing billy taupe made me feel a bit guilty 😭😭. almost terminated my ao3 acc but i get that feeling every time someone mentions something im obsessed w in a very casual way so it wasn’t rlly that serious. also someone either on tiktok or insta was like “was i the only person who preferred snows curls to his buzz cut?” and i genuinely couldn’t tell if they were joking bc like. everyone prefers snows curls to his buzz cut. even snow prefers his curls to his buzzcut. with that being said billy taupe needed to lose the cap

i really really work hard on making the hurt worth it for the comfort, and having enough time to have that comfort and recovery. i think it helps that im writing a full series so if something wasnt dealt with in ycssg, i have quite a few more fics to deal with it and create closure. but im glad it was worth it! and it got tiring for me writing those chapters to be honest, it draws out just a little long and that was on purpose. it doesnt end at the perfect time, like in an ideal world ranboo would have accepted help at thanksgiving and that would be the beginning of things getting better, but thats not how life works. ranboo did not willingly seek out help, and thats an important part of the story. they accepted help because they were convinced they were literally dying and didnt know what else to do. and then they were somewhat reliant on tommy and tubbo, and if that hadn't been the case things wouldn't have ended up where they were.

dream was such a complex character to write, and he continues to be, and i love writing him so fucking much. he's ranboo's antagonist but he isnt evil and inherently awful, he has his own life and his own problems (which doesnt make what he did to ranboo ok at all, but thats just to say that hes a person out side of it) and im glad the emotions in his scenes came through so clearly!

purpled has ibs thats canon and its because i have ibs and i thought it would be funny. love the guy, really. hes one of my favorite side characters. i love him and im glad you like him too he deserves to be liked. Alright nobody asked for them but here are some of my random Hammertooth headcanons:

-Magnus keeps a blanket in his car specifically for Toki in the winter Bc his car is old and doesn’t heat up very fast

-Magnus calls Toki “Bunny” as a nickname. The other guys heard him do it once and they will not let Magnus live it down.

-Toki really likes playing video games with Magnus. He loves FNAF but Magnus hates it because he’s old and can’t handle jumpscares. Toki can’t either but he has fun teasing Magnus. Magnus absolutely loves anything with genuine atmosphere though. Silent Hill is his favorite. Toki gets so skittish during it because Magnus insists on playing it at night with the lights off. Is it so Toki will snuggle up to him? Who’s to say

-When they get married (I feel like Toki would nag Magnus into it despite his definite “marriage is an institution” attitude I’m sure he has) they change their last name to Warhammer because they both have sick as hell last names but hate their families.

-Magnus likes to be affectionate to Toki in front of the others specifically to aggravate them. Especially Charles. Charles hates Magnus so so much. He hates how bad Toki’s taste in men is.

-Magnus initially sleeps in the guest room but Toki comes in to hang out and sleep in there with him pretty much every night anyway. Over time it slowly becomes their room instead of just Magnus’. He doesn’t mind. Toki’s room is inconvenient anyway because there is no way Magnus’ lanky ass is fitting on Toki’s twin sized bed with him.

-Toki gets very easily flustered by affection. He’ll blush very hard and go “stops it~!!!” If Magnus is affectionate to him in front of the others. He absolutely does not want him to stop though.

-They are both such touch starved bastards. They are just constantly touching in some way. Holding hands, hugging, sitting super close, one of their heads on the other’s lap, playing with each other’s hair, and kissing of course.

-Magnus likes to come up behind Toki and kiss his neck because Toki makes a very cute squeaky noise when he does.

-Toki is an absolute nightmare sometimes. He will trick Magnus by kissing down to his stomach like he’s gonna do......... something nice for him 👀........ and then just raspberry him instead. Horrible boy. Brat man.

-They can both pick each other up. Did you see how Magnus yeeted that kid in Dethcamp? He’s deceptively strong. Therefore he can pick Toki up. And Toki can pick him up. Symbiosis.

-Magnus cannot fucking party like he used to. If the boys bring him out he wants to go home as soon as it hits 11:30 PM. They have found him under tables at bars asleep. Toki sometimes has to carry him out to their car so he can sleep there. Sometimes if Magnus is awake but kind of not feeling very social, Toki will sit with him and they’ll drink together instead of getting sloppy with the others. This doesn’t mean Magnus will not still have a massive hangover in the morning but it makes it more worth it.
